- 3:10Speaker 2: today are from a state I've never been to, South Dakota.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Also on my bucket list, South Dakota and North Dakota. Now.
- 3:19Speaker 1: South Dakota is a.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Largely rural state in the north central United States. They
- 3:25Speaker 2: have just over nine hundred thousand residents and a wide
- 3:29Speaker 2: mix of landscapes from the rolling prairie plains to the
- 3:34Speaker 2: east to the bad lands and the Black Hills up
- 3:38Speaker 2: to the iconic site Mount Rushmore. And they have I
- 3:42Speaker 2: hear some amazing geological formations. Now, the state does rank
- 3:49Speaker 2: among some of the least densely populated in the country,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and its economy agriculture, tourism, and growing tech. The capital
- 3:59Speaker 2: is yeah, I like that, okay, And it is one
- 4:03Speaker 2: of the smallest capitals by population in the nation.
- 4:08Speaker 1: As far as missing persons, as.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Of December twenty twenty five, they had sixty five active
- 4:15Speaker 2: juvenile missing person cases. They have twenty four active endangered
- 4:22Speaker 2: missing persons, six active involuntary missing for active disability missing,
- 4:30Speaker 2: and eighteen active other missing. And today we're going to
- 4:35Speaker 2: cover three of those.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:37Speaker 2: First, we're going to talk about Susan Lacy Fast Eagle,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and she went missing from Rapid City, South Dakota, May third,
- 4:48Speaker 2: twenty twenty one. She was thirty at the time that
- 4:51Speaker 2: she went missing. She is a Native American. She is
- 4:56Speaker 2: five foot two and weighed around one hundred and sixty pounds.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I hate that we have to talk about people's weights,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but it's important, okay. She has brown hair, hazel brown eyes,
- 5:07Speaker 2: and more prescription glasses. She has several tattoos, with the
- 5:12Speaker 2: most notable being a tattoo of the insane clown posse
- 5:16Speaker 2: hatchetman on her right forearm. According to Susan's husband, she
- 5:22Speaker 2: was feeling sick on the day she disappeared. He left
- 5:25Speaker 2: the residence to go get her some food, and when
- 5:29Speaker 2: he got back, she was gone. She was last seen
- 5:34Speaker 2: in the Memorial Park area. Okay. She was officially reported
- 5:39Speaker 2: missing by family members on May thirteenth, twenty twenty one. Now,
- 5:44Speaker 2: my first question, why the hell did it take ten
- 5:48Speaker 2: days to report her missing? Okay? And I tried to
- 5:55Speaker 2: find more information around that, Okay, and I haven't been
- 5:58Speaker 2: able to. I can't find it. Maybe it's not there,
- 6:02Speaker 2: I don't know. During the search for Susan, law enforcement
- 6:06Speaker 2: learn that Verdell Brown bull Sor also went missing on
- 6:12Speaker 2: or around May third, the same time. He was fifty
- 6:15Speaker 2: years old, also a Native American, and he was an
- 6:19Speaker 2: active member. I hoped I say this right Ogalala Siue tribe.
- 6:24Speaker 2: He was five foot eight and weighed two hundred pounds,
- 6:27Speaker 2: with gray brown hair and brown eyes. Now, to date,
- 6:33Speaker 2: no one that I could find has reported how Susan
- 6:37Speaker 2: and verdal knew each other. All we know is that
- 6:41Speaker 2: they were last seen together on May third. Not a
- 6:44Speaker 2: lot of information around that because she was at home,
- 6:50Speaker 2: but the Sashnish Scouts of North Dakota have assisted in
- 6:53Speaker 2: the search for Susan and they continue to advocate for
- 6:57Speaker 2: her case. There has been several five K runs held
- 7:02Speaker 2: in her memory to try to keep her name and
- 7:05Speaker 2: the story alive. Despite awareness efforts, both disappearances do remain unsolved. Hi,
- 7:16Speaker 2: lady and Gray over on Kick. I don't know if
- 7:20Speaker 2: you heard over on Kick, but our Facebook links something
- 7:24Speaker 2: happened to them in Streamyard, so I will have to
- 7:27Speaker 2: upload it there.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So we're just live on Kick and the Cock.
- 7:32Speaker 2: So. Susan's disappearance gained additional attention due to her identifiable
- 7:40Speaker 2: ICP tattoo, which brought her case into conversations with both
- 7:44Speaker 2: true crime and music fan committees. But beyond that detail,
- 7:49Speaker 2: what matters most is this, two people are missing, two
- 7:54Speaker 2: families are still waiting for answers, and two cases deserve answers. Guys,
- 8:01Speaker 2: there is not a lot of information on these cases, okay,
- 8:05Speaker 2: and that's a problem. But if you have any information
- 8:09Speaker 2: about the whereabouts of Susan Lacy fast Eagle, you're asked
- 8:14Speaker 2: to call the Pennington County Sheriff's Office at six oh
- 8:18Speaker 2: five three nine four four one three nine. For information
- 8:23Speaker 2: about Burdell Brown Bull, please contact Oglala Sue Tribe Department
- 8:29Speaker 2: of Public Safety at six oh five eight six seven
- 8:33Speaker 2: five one four one. Guys, please make sure you go
- 8:37Speaker 2: to one of our social media pages and share the
- 8:40Speaker 2: missing person posters for both fast Egal and Brown Bowl.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That helps get the word out to loved ones.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Okay. Now, if you know.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Of or if you have a loved one missing and
- 8:56Speaker 2: you're interested in having their story featured on an upcoming episode,
- 9:01Speaker 2: or if you want to join us for a live interview,
- 9:04Speaker 2: please email me at Terry at tcwtmedia dot com or
- 9:10Speaker 2: you can contact us through our social media accounts. I'm everywhere, Okay,
- 9:16Speaker 2: Next up, we're going to go to February third, twenty nineteen,
- 9:22Speaker 2: Serenity Dinard, aged nine, ran away from the Children's Home
- 9:27Speaker 2: Society facility near Rockerville, South Dakota, which is located in
- 9:32Speaker 2: the Black Hills. She escaped from a locked facility during
- 9:37Speaker 2: winter conditions without a coat. And I'm going to try
- 9:40Speaker 2: not to rant, but how in the hell does a
- 9:43Speaker 2: nine year old escape a locked facility? Because if it's locked,
- 9:49Speaker 2: how do you get out?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Anybody?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Please tell me because I don't know, okay, I don't know. Now,
- 9:59Speaker 2: employees at the facility did not call nine one one
- 10:03Speaker 2: for approximately eighty minutes after she ran away. I mean,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I get you want to look, you want to check everywhere.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Eighty minutes is a bit much.
- 10:15Speaker 2: The case quickly became one of confusion, frustration, and disbelief. Okay.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It is reported that many have struggled to understand, along
- 10:25Speaker 2: with me, how a young child on foot could evade
- 10:29Speaker 2: capture in such a short time, especially in harsh winter
- 10:34Speaker 2: weather and rugged terrain. And I'm one of those people, okay.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I have also said before someone can leave intentionally to
- 10:44Speaker 2: run away, and something nefarious happened. Okay. Other people questioned
- 10:50Speaker 2: the delayed emergency call and whether immediate action could have
- 10:55Speaker 2: changed the outcome. We don't know, but eighty minutes, okay.
- 11:01Speaker 2: As the search expanded, emotions surrounding the case grew even
- 11:06Speaker 2: more complex, ranging for disappointment, anger and curiosity, and disbelief.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Serenity was described as highly intelligent for being nine, outgoing
- 11:19Speaker 2: and joyful. She loved animals, she loved.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Babies, who doesn't singing.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Movies, riding her bike, and spending time with her grandmother.
- 11:31Speaker 2: She did struggle emotionally due to early childhood instability and abandonment.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Serenity had lived in multiple foster homes and her biological
- 11:43Speaker 2: mother had previously served time in prison. Her adoptive parents
- 11:48Speaker 2: acknowledged that Serenity had run away before and sometimes enjoyed
- 11:54Speaker 2: being searched for and guys, this little girl had a
- 11:59Speaker 2: rough star to her life and this breaks my heart
- 12:02Speaker 2: even more that this happened to her. Okay. She was
- 12:07Speaker 2: adopted in twenty fourteen by Darcy Gentry and Chad Jannard
- 12:12Speaker 2: after being fostered for several months, and at the time
- 12:16Speaker 2: Serenity went missing, Darcy and Chad no longer lived together
- 12:21Speaker 2: and she was living with Chad at the time she
- 12:23Speaker 2: went missing, but she.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Was in that facility.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, but over time
- 12:34Speaker 2: they have said they have a theory and according to
- 12:38Speaker 2: law enforcement officials interviewed, investigators believe Serenity likely ran into
- 12:44Speaker 2: the remote Black Hills terrain and attempted to hide and
- 12:49Speaker 2: became lost and froze to death. While no individual has
- 12:55Speaker 2: been cleared, investigators stated they do not believe Sereni was
- 13:00Speaker 2: abducted by a stranger. A neighbor, a facility employee, or
- 13:04Speaker 2: a family member. I don't know how they can say
- 13:09Speaker 2: that if they haven't found her and she is still missing,
- 13:14Speaker 2: and that they haven't cleared any I mean, they haven't
- 13:18Speaker 2: conclusively cleared anyone.
- 13:20Speaker 1: But they think she got lost, Okay.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Now, their conclusion is based part on a witness account
- 13:27Speaker 2: from a woman and a girl who were present in
- 13:30Speaker 2: a vehicle at the facility. They say they saw Serenity
- 13:34Speaker 2: run away, and then they drove up and down Rockerville
- 13:39Speaker 2: Road shortly after and could neither see her or anyone else.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And the detectives stated in twenty twenty that the odds
- 13:49Speaker 2: of a stranger encountering Serenity in that brief window and
- 13:52Speaker 2: successively abducting her on the rural road were extraordinarily low.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'm going to say, sir, sorry, I don't know your name,
- 14:02Speaker 2: but you must not listen or watch mid Day Missing,
- 14:05Speaker 2: because in the year and a half, two years, I guess,
- 14:09Speaker 2: we've been doing this, we have learned that people can
- 14:12Speaker 2: disappear in a matter of seconds. Seconds the time it
- 14:16Speaker 2: takes a car to you turn and come back, they
- 14:20Speaker 2: could already be pulled into a car. It happens because
- 14:24Speaker 2: I often say it's not like.
- 14:27Speaker 1: A spaceship beinged them up right, And they say that.
- 14:32Speaker 2: More than fifteen hundred people and over sixty six agencies
- 14:35Speaker 2: have performed searches in which they covered over six thousand
- 14:39Speaker 2: miles using aerial searches, ground search, and cadaver dogs.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:45Speaker 2: The earliest days of the search were complicated by rain
- 14:48Speaker 2: that turned snow and the temperatures were well below freezing,
- 14:52Speaker 2: so not good. January twenty twenty one, authorities officially halted
- 14:58Speaker 2: the physical search for y her remains or physical evidence.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Why why even if she froze to death, you need
- 15:11Speaker 2: to try to find her remains.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:14Speaker 2: The missing person case remains open and active, and they
- 15:20Speaker 2: say it's open and active but they're not looking. Okay,
- 15:23Speaker 2: tell me if it's open and active but you're not looking,
- 15:29Speaker 2: how Okay, Lady and Gray, she had to have had
- 15:37Speaker 2: some help. She was nine, or she never left on
- 15:41Speaker 2: her own exactly. She was nine, Okay, guys, nine and
- 15:50Speaker 2: I don't know. I I have so many questions and
- 15:54Speaker 2: there's not a ton of information, not of time. There
- 15:59Speaker 2: have been numerous awarded sightings which have been investigated, including
- 16:03Speaker 2: one in Las Vegas, where child resembling Serenity was photographed,
- 16:08Speaker 2: none could be confirmed to be her. A former Pennington
- 16:13Speaker 2: County Sheriff's Office Tony Harrison, who oversaw portions of the
- 16:17Speaker 2: search and investigation, describe the emotional toll the.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Case is taken. Well, if it's taken an emotional.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Toll, you don't say you're not looking anymore, okay. He
- 16:29Speaker 2: stated that the pain remains for Serenity's family, for the
- 16:32Speaker 2: thousands of volunteers, for the investigators who devoted time to
- 16:37Speaker 2: the case, and for himself.
- 16:39Speaker 1: As a father.
- 16:40Speaker 2: He said, there's nothing worse than not being able to
- 16:42Speaker 2: find a little girl.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I agreat guys, but.
- 16:48Speaker 2: If she you say she froze, how far could a
- 16:51Speaker 2: nine year old get in that kind of weather for
- 16:54Speaker 2: you to not be able to find her? Nine year
- 16:56Speaker 2: olds have little legs, a little legs. I I don't know.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Just something isn't right here. I don't know what it is,
- 17:05Speaker 2: but just something doesn't feel right. For years after serenity disappearance,
- 17:12Speaker 2: Gentry kept a bedroom prepared in her home filled with
- 17:15Speaker 2: Serenity's favorite things in case she returned. They do say
- 17:22Speaker 2: the Black Hills region is vast, It's rugged and it's unforgiving.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It is filled with boulders, ridges, lakes, elevation changes, and
- 17:31Speaker 2: extreme weather, which says to me, how does a nine
- 17:35Speaker 2: year old go through that? Okay, they fell somewhere.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Did you use dogs? I couldn't even find if they
- 17:41Speaker 1: use cadaver dogs. Okay.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Investigations by state and federal agencies concluded that staff errors
- 17:49Speaker 2: played a role in Serenity's disappearance at the facility. Two
- 17:54Speaker 2: employees were fired and they made changes, but sadly it
- 17:58Speaker 2: was too late for Serenity. Okay, she's been missing for
- 18:03Speaker 2: seven years this month. Now. The case remains open and active,
- 18:07Speaker 2: even if they're not searching for her, and her family
- 18:10Speaker 2: continues to live in between two painful hopes finding her alive,
- 18:16Speaker 2: finding her remains. Okay, Serenity Dinard is not just a
- 18:21Speaker 2: case file or a headline. She is a child. Okay.
- 18:27Speaker 2: She was nine, but you're at sixteen now. Somebody took
- 18:32Speaker 2: her and is holding her. You know, the parents have
- 18:37Speaker 2: to go to bed every night and wonder. Okay, she
- 18:40Speaker 2: had her whole life ahead of her. She was nine.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So I ask you, if you have any information about
- 18:46Speaker 2: Serenity or her disappearance, please please call the Pennington County
- 18:52Speaker 2: Sheriff's Office at six oh five three nine four six'
- 18:56Speaker 2: one one five and guys please share her posters that
- 19:02Speaker 2: we have on our social media. Pages we need to
- 19:05Speaker 2: help get the word. OUT a nine year old disappearing
- 19:09Speaker 2: like that does not make sense to. Me she was,
- 19:14Speaker 2: nine okay it she was? Nine, okay, lady And gray
- 19:21Speaker 2: says over on. Kick maybe that's why it takes a.

- 19:49Speaker 2: Today it really means a. Lot you probably think it
- 19:53Speaker 2: doesn't mean a, lot but just, listening getting these words
