- 0:23Speaker 4: and she did great. But while we were out of town,

- 0:41Speaker 1: some things, you know?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Poor guy. He had a tough time.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm like, it's so sad when you see dogs who
- 0:47Speaker 1: have had like either their blood taken or like surgery
- 0:50Speaker 1: and they have that little bandage on their arm. Yep.
- 0:53Speaker 3: He sure did.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I was so sad looking.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Did you see it when I seen the picture?
- 0:56Speaker 1: I was like, oh, they always have that because it's
- 0:59Speaker 1: wherever they put the IV in.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, that poor little bandage.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We've got $ 1, 000 of new country cash. No winner yesterday.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Going to roll over the money, add $ 500 to that.

- 2:17Speaker 3: It's $ 3.
- 2:17Speaker 5: 99.
- 2:17Speaker 3: No, I don't want it. I didn't know about it either.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I don't want it either. If they start making me
- 2:23Speaker 3: pay for that app, I won't get rid of it.
- 2:24Speaker 2: What do you get with Plus?
- 2:27Speaker 4: Well, a viral review of Instagram Plus subscription is demonstrating
- 2:33Speaker 4: how creepy it is because it can show you like
- 2:36Speaker 4: just all kinds of stuff, like what people are watching,
- 2:39Speaker 4: how long they're watching, if they're rewatching, like.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Everything that you can probably think of.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Now that they are showing it to you.
- 2:47Speaker 5: So.
- 2:48Speaker 4: But Instagram says it's not like super creepy. It's just
- 2:51Speaker 4: kind of like regular creepy.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Everybody else is like this level of creep. We're just
- 2:56Speaker 2: joining them.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Sandy and Cole 97 one Hank FM Halloween.
- 3:03Speaker 2: About a month away.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And we are getting you in spooky season.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Mood for Mac of tickets to the Indy Scream Park.
- 3:10Speaker 3: If you could name that screen this morning. Here's Johnny!
- 3:21Speaker 2: That movie silts this day. He's so creepy.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I haven't watched it in a while. Probably because of that.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 3: The answer this morning is.
- 3:32Speaker 2: The Shining.
- 3:33Speaker 3: The Shining in 1980. The Shining. Still a classic. I
- 3:37Speaker 3: think about that all the time.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Would you go and take a job like that?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Like they basically stay in the winter at an abandoned,
- 3:46Speaker 1: like they have to keep the hotel running with.
- 3:48Speaker 2: No guests and no way out.
- 3:51Speaker 1: No.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Well, no.
- 3:52Speaker 4: No. Also, if I think of anything being a little
- 3:55Speaker 4: off as far as haunted or.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Whatever it might be, I'm out of there immediately.
- 4:01Speaker 1: No.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I don't give that place another chance.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It's not happening.
- 4:04Speaker 4: You're at store winner this morning. Indie Scream Park tickets.
- 4:07Speaker 4: A four pack of them. Another chance for you to
- 4:09Speaker 4: win tomorrow morning.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I follow.
- 4:11Speaker 5: I like. I share.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Andy and Cole on Hank FM.
- 4:15Speaker 2: How was your weekend, Cole?
- 4:16Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 4:17Speaker 3: We had a weekend. We went to Quad Cities. Quad Cities.
- 4:21Speaker 4: So my wife could run a half marathon and she
- 4:23Speaker 4: did it and she did awesome. And it was super
- 4:26Speaker 4: fun to like chase her around and watch her run.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And it was very exciting. The part that wasn't very exciting.
- 4:32Speaker 3: So she was running that race on Sunday, Friday night.
- 4:36Speaker 3: We drive over.
- 4:38Speaker 4: To Quad Cities and we get there late because it's,
- 4:40Speaker 4: I don't know, it's four and a half hour drive,
- 4:42Speaker 4: but we brought our dog and we brought baby Josie.
- 4:46Speaker 3: And so we had to make a bunch of stops
- 4:47Speaker 3: and all that kind of stuff.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You had texted me Saturday morning and you're like, hey,
- 4:52Speaker 4: how are things going over there?
- 4:53Speaker 3: I said, not great. I was like, oh, no.
- 4:56Speaker 4: So Friday night we get in late and we're just
- 5:00Speaker 4: trying to get everything set up so everybody can go
- 5:02Speaker 4: to bed. And we finally do. We get into bed
- 5:04Speaker 4: at like 1030, 11 o'clock. And then every couple hours
- 5:08Speaker 4: or so, our dog Reggie is throwing up.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And it starts as the white foamy dog vomit. You
- 5:16Speaker 3: know what I'm talking about?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Familiar.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:19Speaker 4: And then by early Saturday morning, it changed and it
- 5:23Speaker 4: was kind of brownish. And we're like, I think there's
- 5:25Speaker 4: a little bit of blood in there. We should probably
- 5:27Speaker 4: take him to the vet.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Now we're out of town.
- 5:30Speaker 4: We've never been to Quad Cities before. And so we're
- 5:32Speaker 4: just looking at the vet. We take him to the vet.
- 5:35Speaker 4: And the short version is. is that he ate one
- 5:39Speaker 4: of baby Josie's binkies and he's going to need to
- 5:41Speaker 4: have surgery to have it removed.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Scary. You're in a place you don't know that you
- 5:47Speaker 2: don't know.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 5:48Speaker 4: So we're like, okay. Cause they gave us an option.
- 5:51Speaker 4: They're like, you can try and do this or this
- 5:53Speaker 4: and make it back home. But we aren't familiar with
- 5:57Speaker 4: where we are. What if he doesn't pass it? And
- 6:00Speaker 4: now we're trying to come back to this vet and
- 6:01Speaker 4: we're like, okay, let's just take care of it. So,
- 6:05Speaker 4: Of the painkilling drugs that we need for the surgery,
- 6:10Speaker 4: there is a shortage of amongst vets. So we need
- 6:13Speaker 4: you to go to Walgreens and pick it up.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Like, all right, that's fine. It's fentanyl.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Excuse me, what?
- 6:19Speaker 3: I know.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So I was like, what?
- 6:22Speaker 4: Like, all I know is like all of the bad
- 6:25Speaker 4: stories that we hear about that right now.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And you're going to give it to my dog for
- 6:29Speaker 3: this surgery? Like, but okay.
- 6:32Speaker 4: All right. So I go to Walgreens. And then I'm
- 6:35Speaker 4: standing in the person in front of Walgreens. And now
- 6:37Speaker 4: I'm like, hey, I need this fentanyl patch right now.
- 6:41Speaker 4: It's for my dog. And I don't live here.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Sir, did you travel here just to.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Get this patch? They're like, no. No.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I see we're running a little late. So let's hit
- 6:54Speaker 4: a break and then I can finish the story afterwards.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It's Annie and Cole 97.1 Hank FM.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Reliving... The adventure that was the Quad Cities this weekend.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I know what it's like when I have to go
- 7:05Speaker 1: to the pharmacy to pick up just like cold medicine.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And they ask for my ID and ask.
- 7:09Speaker 5: For my ID.
- 7:10Speaker 2: What is it like when you have to pick up
- 7:11Speaker 2: a fentanyl patch? I don't know.
- 7:13Speaker 4: So, okay, to recap, if you missed part one of
- 7:15Speaker 4: this story, my wife and I were out of town
- 7:16Speaker 4: this weekend, had to take our dog to the vet
- 7:20Speaker 4: while we were there. He needs emergency surgery to remove
- 7:24Speaker 4: a binky that he ate.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And now.
- 7:27Speaker 4: The vet is sending me to Walgreens because there's a
- 7:29Speaker 4: shortage of the pain meds that they use for the surgery.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's a fentanyl patch.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And now I'm at Walgreens in a city that I
- 7:36Speaker 4: don't live in trying to tell them that I'm here
- 7:39Speaker 4: from out of town and my dog needs emergency surgery
- 7:41Speaker 4: and I need a fentanyl patch.
- 7:44Speaker 3: And they look at me and they're like, no, no.
- 7:48Speaker 4: And I'm like, I have the prescription. They're like, no,
- 7:51Speaker 4: the script is not valid because it doesn't include this.
- 7:55Speaker 4: And I'm like, okay, can you call the vet and
- 7:58Speaker 4: ask them?
- 8:00Speaker 3: And they were.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Like, eh, it'd probably be quicker for you to just
- 8:03Speaker 4: drive back and figure it out. I don't think they
- 8:05Speaker 4: believe me at this point. And so I'm like, it
- 8:08Speaker 4: would be quicker for me to drive 15 minutes there,
- 8:10Speaker 4: 15 minutes back, then give it to you for you
- 8:14Speaker 4: to fill it Rather than you just calling them.
- 8:16Speaker 3: And they said, yes. Like, all right.
- 8:19Speaker 4: So I drive back to the vet. The receptionist sees me,
- 8:23Speaker 4: is working with someone else.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, do you have it?
- 8:25Speaker 4: Like, because he needs this like pretty soon, like now.
- 8:29Speaker 4: And I said, no, they said the prescription wasn't valid.
- 8:31Speaker 4: And he was like, what are they talking about? So
- 8:34Speaker 4: he takes the script back to the doctor. The doctor
- 8:37Speaker 4: then calls the pharmacy, comes back out. And it's like,
- 8:40Speaker 4: I don't know what they were talking about. That's crazy.
- 8:42Speaker 3: We're so sorry. Drive back and go get it.
- 8:44Speaker 4: So now I drive back and I hand it to
- 8:47Speaker 4: the person at Walgreens who is like training or whatever.
- 8:51Speaker 4: And she's just going through all of the steps in
- 8:54Speaker 4: her head that she's trying to remember. And I get
- 8:56Speaker 4: that training is overwhelming, especially when you're working.
- 9:00Speaker 3: In that setting, I'm sure. And she goes, OK, it'll
- 9:03Speaker 3: be 20 to 30 minutes.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I'm like, can we be any quicker? I already wasted
- 9:08Speaker 4: at least a half hour driving back and forth. Thankfully,
- 9:10Speaker 4: the pharmacist walked up and filled it right away. And
- 9:13Speaker 4: so they fill it, take it back. He has surgery
- 9:17Speaker 4: and we're like, well, what do we do now for
- 9:19Speaker 4: the next day or so? My wife is supposed to
- 9:21Speaker 4: run a half marathon the next day. Like, do we
- 9:23Speaker 4: wait at the vet? There's not really much we can do.
- 9:26Speaker 4: And so we just go back to the Airbnb and
- 9:28Speaker 4: all of his surgery stuff goes great. My wife runs
- 9:31Speaker 4: the race and she does awesome. And then we go
- 9:34Speaker 4: pick him up Sunday morning and we head home. And like,
- 9:37Speaker 4: he just had this major surgery. He has like sutures
- 9:42Speaker 4: in his stomach and he's got the cone on and
- 9:44Speaker 4: now he's got to ride five hours back to Indianapolis.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And thankfully, they didn't have to cut into him too
- 9:53Speaker 4: much and they were able to move it into a
- 9:54Speaker 4: place that he was able to pass it, which that
- 9:57Speaker 4: also took forever too.
- 9:59Speaker 3: And he did that. yesterday. And it's, I don't know.
- 10:02Speaker 3: It's a crazy thing to be like digging through.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Looking for something.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Looking for something.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Exactly. And he doesn't.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Want to go because like he just had all this
- 10:12Speaker 4: trauma and now he is also like, trying to pass
- 10:16Speaker 4: something that is bigger than what he typically passes. And,
- 10:19Speaker 4: but if I like, I found it and literally texted
- 10:22Speaker 4: my wife in all caps.
- 10:22Speaker 3: He did it. We did it. He did it.
- 10:25Speaker 4: And sure enough, it was just the top of a
- 10:27Speaker 4: binky that he ripped off and swallowed. We took him
- 10:31Speaker 4: to the vet yesterday and everything's looking better and he's recovering,
- 10:34Speaker 4: but it was a very weird experience to be out
- 10:39Speaker 4: of town, not have your normal vet, not then like
- 10:42Speaker 4: You just want the comfort of your own home and
- 10:43Speaker 4: you're in someone else's house at an Airbnb and then
- 10:46Speaker 4: you got to drive back to Indianapolis.
- 10:47Speaker 3: And it was a lot.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Also, I don't think you and your wife should be
- 10:50Speaker 1: traveling anywhere. Like the last few times you guys have
- 10:52Speaker 1: gone together somewhere.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Especially for a race, for a run, for a half marathon.
- 10:58Speaker 3: It has not gone well. The last time. we went somewhere.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It was Kansas city and somebody broke into our rental car.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I don't think there's a different goal. You know, she's
- 11:06Speaker 1: trying to run a marathon, you know, we checked one off.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 3: We checked one off or she checked one off. I'm
- 11:11Speaker 3: also saying.
- 11:12Speaker 4: I did this, but she has done 12 now, 38
- 11:16Speaker 4: more to go.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Hopefully they go better than this trip.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's Annie and Cole on ink. Do you really want
- 11:23Speaker 2: to know?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I feel like if you have a pet. You have
- 11:28Speaker 1: been through something like this before.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yeah, my dog over the weekend needing emergency surgery after
- 11:33Speaker 4: he ate one of Baby Josie's binkies. Not the first
- 11:38Speaker 4: time he's ate a binky. He usually shreds them. And
- 11:42Speaker 4: then maybe we'll find like little itty bitty pieces here
- 11:45Speaker 4: or there. But no, this time he just ripped it
- 11:48Speaker 4: right off and swallowed it. Didn't have time to shred it.
- 11:50Speaker 4: He just wanted to go for the kill.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much. Binkies are really his favorite right now.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's got to be the smell, right?
- 12:00Speaker 3: It's got to be anything that she also has in
- 12:03Speaker 3: her mouth. He's after.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Because it was like bottles for a bit, too.
- 12:09Speaker 3: He was really interested in.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I had.
- 12:11Speaker 2: A dog that was obsessed with eating gum.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 12:18Speaker 1: My dog that I had, my first dog I had
- 12:21Speaker 1: when I lived on my own, Jaeger. We would go
- 12:24Speaker 1: on walks and he would just find gum on the
- 12:26Speaker 1: sidewalk and just eat it. And like there's that ingredient
- 12:30Speaker 1: in gum. It's like the whitening ingredient starts in X.
- 12:33Speaker 1: It's not good for dogs.
- 12:35Speaker 2: So we'd be on a.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Walk like spit it out. Yes.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Just spit it out. And the only thing I.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Can think of that my current dogs have eaten that
- 12:41Speaker 1: they're not supposed to is my dog Jax had surgery.
- 12:45Speaker 2: To neuter him or whatever. And he ate his cone.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Oh no! The thing that's supposed to be protecting him.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So for weeks he just threw up bloody pieces of plastic.
- 12:56Speaker 2: We'll have to see if he passes it all. That's
- 12:58Speaker 2: all we got?
- 13:00Speaker 3: How many times have you been out or you've been
- 13:03Speaker 3: in your house and you're just like, drop it! Drop it!
- 13:07Speaker 2: What do you have in your mouth?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Trying to get it out with your hand.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So what's that thing, the last thing your pet maybe
- 13:14Speaker 1: ate or destroyed that they definitely.
- 13:17Speaker 2: We're not supposed to.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Annie and Cole. Text or give us a call.
- 13:20Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Hank FM. Do you really want to know? Annie and
- 13:27Speaker 3: Cole want to know.
- 13:28Speaker 1: We all love our pets, but then we have weekends
- 13:30Speaker 1: like you just said, Cole, that remind us that sometimes
- 13:33Speaker 1: they're expensive.
- 13:34Speaker 4: He ate one of baby Josie's binkies. It had to
- 13:37Speaker 4: be surgically removed. And yeah, it was what we thought
- 13:41Speaker 4: was going to be a pretty cheap weekend away turned
- 13:43Speaker 4: into a very expensive weekend away.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So what's the last thing your pet ate that maybe
- 13:48Speaker 1: they just weren't supposed to really do that?
- 13:51Speaker 5: So my dog.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Loves to get in the trash.
- 13:55Speaker 5: And she actually one day pulled out a chicken pack
- 13:58Speaker 5: and ate the shell pack out of the bottom of
- 14:01Speaker 5: a chicken container. Oh. Oh, no.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Gross.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:07Speaker 5: But she passed it and all is well. She's got
- 14:11Speaker 5: an iron stomach, but I thought that was a good one.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I imagine dogs that go through trash eat a lot
- 14:18Speaker 1: of fun stuff. Lots of things.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Yeah. She's a German shepherd. We actually have her and
- 14:24Speaker 5: her son, and she's the main one that wants to
- 14:27Speaker 5: dig in the trash. So we make sure to put
- 14:29Speaker 5: it up now.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Our trash cans are also... Also up. Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 4: But he mostly, it's usually like tissues or clean at
- 14:36Speaker 4: like Kleenex.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 5: No shredded. Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Thanks for calling.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You guys have a great morning.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Hi, it's Annie and Cole. Who's this?
- 14:47Speaker 5: This is Heather from Chumville. How are y'all?
- 14:49Speaker 3: We're doing good. What you got?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Well, we have a six month old cat and he
- 14:54Speaker 5: likes to give us everything, especially the potatoes in the kitchen.
- 14:57Speaker 5: They're in a bin near the floor. There are potatoes
- 15:01Speaker 5: all over the floor, but that's not the bad part.
- 15:03Speaker 5: The bad part is he's ripping into and eating the
- 15:06Speaker 5: plastic bag that they're in.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Oh.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, just eat the potato, dude.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you have as much potatoes as you want.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Right?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Oh, yikes. Well, thank you for calling in. We'll talk
- 15:18Speaker 3: to you soon.
- 15:18Speaker 1: All righty, bye.
- 15:19Speaker 5: See ya.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Catherine on the Army Air text line said, when our
- 15:22Speaker 4: puppy was about 10 pounds, he ate his brother's trazodone,
- 15:25Speaker 4: which was meant for a 100-pound dog. Oh, no.
- 15:28Speaker 3: We taught him drop it the very next day.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Jen said my dog Brutus found pieces of a terracotta
- 15:36Speaker 4: pot in the backyard and decided that was a treat.
- 15:39Speaker 3: He threw it up for days and then would not eat.
- 15:41Speaker 3: So about $ 1, 000.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Later, we found special dog food at the vet that
- 15:48Speaker 4: was better.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Oh, no. This one says my Labrador has chewed on razors.
- 15:53Speaker 2: No way.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Oh, yikes.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but she was fine. Debbie said, this is Otis.
- 16:00Speaker 3: He's a poopaholic. He loves to eat poop and he's
- 16:03Speaker 3: not picky about whose it is.
- 16:05Speaker 2: His picture is so cute. I don't want that face
- 16:09Speaker 2: to kiss me, but he's so cute.
- 16:11Speaker 4: The average American does this before 10.54 a.m.
- 16:18Speaker 3: You and I, I think we are ahead of this.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I know we start our day a little bit earlier,
- 16:23Speaker 4: but let's just say You know what it is.
- 16:25Speaker 3: So let's just say you woke up at eight. How
- 16:28Speaker 3: long do you think it would take you?
- 16:30Speaker 2: 801.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I'm kind of the same way. The alarm goes off
- 16:34Speaker 4: and I'm usually doing this as well. The average American.
- 16:36Speaker 4: utters their first curse word of the day at 1054 AM.
- 16:41Speaker 4: But I'm like you, that alarm goes off and I like,
- 16:44Speaker 4: the alarm isn't the only thing bleeping, you know?
- 16:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I usually though, like I am not kind to myself
- 16:53Speaker 1: in the morning. So I will, I'm not cursing at
- 16:55Speaker 1: the alarm clock. I'm cursing at myself. I'll be like, Annie,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you got to get the blank out of bed. You
- 17:00Speaker 1: can't mess around anymore. Like you have to get out
- 17:03Speaker 1: of bed.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Get up.
- 17:04Speaker 1: My favorite though, and I've learned this as I'm married
- 17:06Speaker 1: to my husband, Rob, who's a construction worker. Not only
- 17:10Speaker 1: does he come up with like different words that aren't
- 17:13Speaker 1: curse words, but feel like curse words. He also does
- 17:15Speaker 1: the combo curse word where words that you don't think
- 17:19Speaker 1: should be together, go together like two curse words into
- 17:22Speaker 1: one all the time. And I'm like, I didn't even
- 17:25Speaker 1: know that was a possibility.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But do you have something like this? Like, do you have,
- 17:29Speaker 2: maybe it's your own made up curse word.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Maybe it's a combo.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Or maybe you stole one from a TV show that
- 17:35Speaker 4: they made up to replace one.
- 17:37Speaker 2: What is that?
