Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Tammy Hembrow’s Getting Divorced
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Tammy Hembro
- 0:13Speaker 1: confirms she's divorcing Matt Sikowsky. And Sarah's day unveils her
- 0:18Speaker 1: yummy mummy luxury car. But first, Kate, the missing piece
- 0:21Speaker 1: of the outspoken family is finally here. Oh, and he
- 0:25Speaker 1: is just so perfect. Even though you had Harry, what,
- 0:28Speaker 1: eight or nine weeks ago, I still can't get over
- 0:31Speaker 1: how small newborn babies are. They grow so quickly. And Sophie,
- 0:35Speaker 1: of course, gave birth to Luca Archie. Kate, you keep
- 0:38Speaker 1: saying his name is Archie. That's the name of her dog. Oh,
- 0:41Speaker 1: I know. It's really confusing. Even in the script, I
- 0:43Speaker 1: wrote Archie Luca. I was like, whoops. So Archie is
- 0:46Speaker 1: Sophie and Brandon's firstborn, but Luca is the non-furred baby,
- 0:50Speaker 1: the real baby. He is just so cute.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We were trying to work out who he looked like.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I mean, immediately when I saw him, I went, he
- 0:58Speaker 1: looks like Sophie as a baby, but then he pulls
- 1:00Speaker 1: expressions that look like Brandon. Yeah. It's definitely a mix
- 1:04Speaker 1: this time because Amy, you and I basically gave birth
- 1:07Speaker 1: to our husbands. I don't know. A lot of people
- 1:09Speaker 1: now have been saying that Harry looks like me. I'm sorry.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Even Dale's family yesterday all said he looks like you.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I think they're being polite. He literally looks like a
- 1:17Speaker 1: mini Dale to me. I often go to call him Dale,
- 1:20Speaker 1: but I am getting a lot of the names confused
- 1:22Speaker 1: because now I'm calling Jack Harry and now that Luke
- 1:24Speaker 1: is in the picture, I mean, I'm also getting Archie
- 1:26Speaker 1: in there too. Yeah, well, they've all got similar amount
- 1:28Speaker 1: of letters in them. So it is kind of getting confusing,
- 1:31Speaker 1: all of these boys' names. But what was going to
- 1:33Speaker 1: be even more confusing was was the fact that Luca
- 1:36Speaker 1: was scheduled to be born on Jack's birthday up until
- 1:40Speaker 1: the very last minute. Yeah, I think we'll go into
- 1:42Speaker 1: that more on Sophie's birth episode because we do have
- 1:45Speaker 1: a clip of her telling me. I didn't realise I
- 1:47Speaker 1: was being recorded. Well, we thought your reaction was going
- 1:50Speaker 1: to be so poor. We just thought it would be
- 1:51Speaker 1: funny to actually have it recorded. I acted really nicely. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we were shocked. We were like, oh, okay, this isn't
- 1:58Speaker 1: that entertaining. Well, well, I thought it might be kind
- 2:00Speaker 1: of nice for the boys to share a birthday because
- 2:03Speaker 1: we've grown up sharing our birthdays. And I was like, oh,
- 2:06Speaker 1: that's really cute that they'll be connected in that way.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But as the weeks went on, I was kind of like,
- 2:10Speaker 1: hang on, it's not fair that they're going to have
- 2:12Speaker 1: to share their birthday. And Sophie ended up getting a call,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I think it was a week before the C-section to say, actually,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you're a day earlier. So they're one day apart now.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I think that's a lot better. I actually saw Jade
- 2:25Speaker 1: Tunchi and her sister had the same thing happen to them.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So Jade's sister's baby was born, I think the day
- 2:31Speaker 1: after her son Fletcher. And I'm like, oh my God,
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's more common than you think. Well, I think you
- 2:35Speaker 1: guys are paranoid that people might've thought, oh, you plan
- 2:38Speaker 1: to have the babies on the same day. Because of course,
- 2:41Speaker 1: Sophie and I got proposed to on the same day.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Our weddings were nine weeks apart. I think Sophie was
- 2:46Speaker 1: just thinking, I wish there was just something I had
- 2:48Speaker 1: on my own. Yeah, it's always growing up with all
- 2:50Speaker 1: that freaky triplet stuff. As much as you try not
- 2:53Speaker 1: to be the same, there are similar occurrences. And I
- 2:56Speaker 1: was like, oh, not this again. Just while you're transitioning
- 2:59Speaker 1: back from maternity leave to full-time work for Outspoken, I
- 3:02Speaker 1: say that as you have Harry on your lap. I'm
- 3:04Speaker 1: so sorry. Of course, he's just making all of these noises.
- 3:07Speaker 1: He's meant to be asleep, but... He had other ideas. Yeah,
- 3:13Speaker 1: so as you can see, we are trying to manage
- 3:15Speaker 1: everything and that's why we've got a Tammy Hembrough deep
- 3:18Speaker 1: dive ready to go for the next couple of weeks.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I think it should be four parts, but considering everything
- 3:22Speaker 1: that's been happening, who knows, it may turn into a
- 3:25Speaker 1: fifth part. Yeah, I think you need an extra episode actually. Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: so for the next couple of weeks, we'll be doing
- 3:29Speaker 1: a regular Tuesday show and then we'll be dropping a
- 3:31Speaker 1: deep dive episode on Fridays. We also still have our
- 3:35Speaker 1: Outspoken Plus subscriber-only episodes live that are released on Thursdays.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I wanted to finally tell.
- 3:46Speaker 2: You guys that I am going to be getting a divorce.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough has announced she's divorcing Matt Sikowsky after just
- 3:56Speaker 1: seven months of marriage. The whirlwind romance captivated audiences thanks
- 4:00Speaker 1: to the many ups and downs, from getting engaged in
- 4:03Speaker 1: the Maldives after dating long distance for three months, to
- 4:06Speaker 1: the Grand Prix cheating scandal, it's been a wild ride
- 4:09Speaker 1: for Tammy's 17 million followers. Kate, we have spoken at
- 4:13Speaker 1: length on the podcast about this relationship and listeners will
- 4:17Speaker 1: know that breakup rumors have been swirling for months since
- 4:20Speaker 1: the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram in March. Now,
- 4:24Speaker 1: despite knowing all of that, it didn't make it easier
- 4:27Speaker 1: watching Tammy confirm the news on TikTok. I'm absolutely shattered
- 4:32Speaker 1: for her. And I know that there will be some
- 4:33Speaker 1: listeners saying, oh, she should have seen the red flags.
- 4:36Speaker 1: But She's still a woman who just wanted to be
- 4:39Speaker 1: loved and I've consumed a lot of Tammy Hembrough content
- 4:43Speaker 1: and my observation is that she is a hopeless romantic
- 4:46Speaker 1: that loves love and she fought really hard for this
- 4:49Speaker 1: relationship with Matt. This is despite her sisters publicly warning
- 4:53Speaker 1: her that she shouldn't marry him. She went ahead with
- 4:56Speaker 1: it anyway. And that's why it was so difficult to
- 4:58Speaker 1: watch because Tammy did have to admit on camera that
- 5:01Speaker 1: she was wrong and that in fact her sisters were right.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And having sisters, I know how difficult that is to
- 5:06Speaker 1: admit when you are in the wrong. Oh, it reminded
- 5:09Speaker 1: me of the toxic relationship I used to be in. Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And it would have been so hard to say, actually,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you've been right because I stayed in this relationship because
- 5:17Speaker 1: I kind of wanted to prove a point that you
- 5:19Speaker 1: guys were wrong. And I almost feel like that's what's
- 5:22Speaker 1: happened in this situation. And it was clear how anxious
- 5:25Speaker 1: Tammy was on camera. She was shaking when she confirmed
- 5:28Speaker 1: the news. Let's take a listen.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I feel like, oh my gosh, this is giving me
- 5:33Speaker 3: so much anxiety. Um, oh my god, I'm already crying.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I have tissues. I'm not about to f * * *
- 5:42Speaker 3: up my makeup.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Hey, hey.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So, I wanted to finally.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Tell you guys that I am going to be getting
- 5:56Speaker 2: a divorce.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Um, I know, I.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Know a lot of you have been, I know a
- 6:12Speaker 2: lot of you have been, you know, following my journey
- 6:17Speaker 2: for years.
- 6:18Speaker 3: So I wanted to be open about it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And, you know, I do feel like for me, addressing
- 6:27Speaker 2: with you guys is sort of therapeutic like it's sort
- 6:33Speaker 2: of like the next step for me I guess um
- 6:35Speaker 2: uh it's not I don't want to get into details
- 6:45Speaker 2: and I just you know I'm not one to try
- 6:49Speaker 2: and like bring anyone down I don't want to like
- 6:54Speaker 2: I just want to be sensitive to everyone involved I
- 6:56Speaker 2: don't want to talk about anyone other than myself to
- 7:00Speaker 2: be honest.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I really wasn't surprised to hear Tammy say that she
- 7:05Speaker 1: wasn't going to go into the details, although I was disappointed.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But that has really been her go-to strategy with her
- 7:13Speaker 1: breakups with her former fiancés, of course, Rhys Hawkins and
- 7:16Speaker 1: also Matt Paul. Yeah, the big difference though here is
- 7:19Speaker 1: that Tammy has children with Rhys and Matt Paul, but
- 7:23Speaker 1: not with Matt Sikowsky. And I wouldn't be surprised if
- 7:26Speaker 1: she ends up dropping details as time goes on. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: think it will also depend on Matt's behavior and how
- 7:32Speaker 1: he acts.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But in saying that, things did get a little bit
- 7:35Speaker 1: nasty between Tammy and Reese, but we never actually found
- 7:38Speaker 1: out what really caused their breakup. Whereas with Matt Sikowsky,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I think she may open up about what caused the
- 7:45Speaker 1: breakdown eventually. And she did drop the other day that
- 7:48Speaker 1: she's thinking of starting her own podcast. So I would
- 7:51Speaker 1: not be surprised if her first episode was all about
- 7:54Speaker 1: her breakup. I think it's a little bit of a
- 7:56Speaker 1: fuck you to Matt as well, because He clearly is
- 7:59Speaker 1: very focused on his own podcast, Where's Your Head At?
- 8:02Speaker 1: And even though he's tried really hard to get listeners
- 8:05Speaker 1: across from Tammy's following, it just hasn't worked. Yeah, I
- 8:08Speaker 1: think there's been a lot of conversation around Matt looking
- 8:11Speaker 1: like he's a bit of a clout chaser for going
- 8:13Speaker 1: after Tammy. But the funny thing is it really hasn't
- 8:18Speaker 1: affected his follower count positively. I think he's been on what,
- 8:21Speaker 1: like 150,000 followers for a very long time. You think
- 8:24Speaker 1: dating someone with 17 million followers is would actually bump
- 8:28Speaker 1: up your following. But he's been very much disliked by
- 8:32Speaker 1: her fans. Yeah. I mean, I can see why. You
- 8:35Speaker 1: touched on the Grand Prix cheating scandal that happened very
- 8:37Speaker 1: early on in their relationship. I don't think that he's
- 8:40Speaker 1: ever fully recovered from that. I think there was a
- 8:42Speaker 1: bit more love going Matt's way after their wedding and
- 8:45Speaker 1: when they went on their honeymoon. I think people were thinking, oh, well,
- 8:48Speaker 1: maybe he is in it for the right reasons and
- 8:50Speaker 1: maybe he's treating Tammy well, so let's be happy for them.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But that really ended so quickly because After their honeymoon,
- 8:57Speaker 1: we didn't really see much of Matt. I think the
- 9:00Speaker 1: last post we saw of them together was Matt spruiking
- 9:02Speaker 1: some kind of wedding photo album that he had created.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That was around Valentine's Day. Now, during her statement, Tammy
- 9:10Speaker 1: said that she never wanted or expected to break up
- 9:13Speaker 1: with Matt and thought that their marriage would last forever.
- 9:16Speaker 1: She conceded, though, that there was no other option but divorce.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Tammy also revealed she's currently in therapy and she said
- 9:23Speaker 1: that she realises she has a lot of growing to do.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Here's more of what she said.
- 9:27Speaker 3: I blame no one but myself, to be honest. I
- 9:34Speaker 3: feel like I've made.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Not the best choices when it comes to relationships. And I've,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you know, I feel like I am really good at
- 9:46Speaker 2: putting on rose colored glasses or just getting like swept
- 9:52Speaker 2: up in it all. Um, Obviously, the worst part for
- 10:04Speaker 2: me is that, like, I have kids.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Like, I don't care about me.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Like, I know I'll be okay, but I just, I feel, obviously,
- 10:15Speaker 5: I obviously feel awful for, like, I just felt awful.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Stop crying.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Stop crying.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Obviously, I get a lot of nasty comments being like, oh,
- 10:32Speaker 2: another marriage. Like, this is my first marriage, just FYI.
- 10:37Speaker 2: But no comment that anyone could say. Like, these comments
- 10:42Speaker 2: haven't even been really getting to me because nothing anyone.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Could say could make me feel, like, more.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Like, shit that I already do, like, more humiliated or more.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Like, I already, like, think that about myself right now, so, like,
- 11:05Speaker 2: don't think those comments are getting to me because I'm.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Already there. End of the day, I know this is.
- 11:20Speaker 3: What needs to happen.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Whatever you think about Tammy Hembrough on a human level,
- 11:27Speaker 1: that really hurt to listen to, especially when she put
- 11:30Speaker 1: her reputation on the line for Matt Zukoski and it's
- 11:34Speaker 1: all blown up in her face. Well, she mentioned in
- 11:36Speaker 1: there feeling humiliated. That quote of hers has been splashed
- 11:40Speaker 1: all over the media. And I think this relationship with
- 11:42Speaker 1: Matt Zukoski is going to be one that haunts her
- 11:45Speaker 1: for a long time. I mean, it's just so sad,
- 11:47Speaker 1: particularly with three children involved. And when they started dating,
- 11:52Speaker 1: there was a lot of judgment masked as faux concern
- 11:56Speaker 1: about Tammy introducing her kids too early to Matt. And
- 12:00Speaker 1: it would be really difficult for Tammy to be like,
- 12:02Speaker 1: hang on, yeah, you were right to be concerned. I
- 12:04Speaker 1: shouldn't have done that.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And Tammy's son, Wolf, especially got really close to Matt.
- 12:09Speaker 1: They seem to have a special relationship. I also think
- 12:12Speaker 1: the fact that Tammy actually married Matt would have made
- 12:15Speaker 1: it really different for the kids. They would have gone,
- 12:17Speaker 1: this is my new stepdad. I mean, it was only
- 12:20Speaker 1: recently that Matt appeared on Shameless Media's Inherited podcast, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: he spoke about the role of being a stepdad and
- 12:26Speaker 1: how important and special it was to him, considering that
- 12:29Speaker 1: he's been very open about the fact that he'll find
- 12:32Speaker 1: it difficult to naturally conceive a child At the time,
- 12:36Speaker 1: there was a lot of backlash aimed at Shameless for
- 12:38Speaker 1: having Matt Sikowsky on the podcast. Yeah. And that's actually
- 12:42Speaker 1: continued now that the breakup has gone live. People are like,
- 12:44Speaker 1: you should never have given him the platform. Well, I
- 12:46Speaker 1: wonder when that interview was actually recorded and if he
- 12:49Speaker 1: was honest with the team about what his relationship was
- 12:52Speaker 1: currently with Tammy.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I mean, to be fair to Shameless Media, I think
- 12:56Speaker 1: it was a good get for them. I think it
- 12:58Speaker 1: probably got a lot of downloads. And I also think
- 13:00Speaker 1: that Shameless Media's intention was probably to have a really
- 13:04Speaker 1: raw conversation with Matt about what it's like being a stepdad,
- 13:07Speaker 1: but I don't think he stepped up to the plate.
- 13:08Speaker 1: The conversation itself was bizarre, but it was more bizarre
- 13:12Speaker 1: from Matt's perspective. I think the questions they actually asked
- 13:15Speaker 1: him were very strong, but he just didn't come to
- 13:17Speaker 1: the table. It was just a very strange mix. Now,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I want to talk more about Tammy's sisters in this
- 13:23Speaker 1: scenario because on Wednesday before this announcement went live, Tammy
- 13:28Speaker 1: shared a special post for her sister Amy's birthday writing,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Thank you for always being there for me and for
- 13:33Speaker 1: loving me through every season and through every version of me.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You've wiped my tears, told me the truth even when
- 13:39Speaker 1: I didn't want to hear it, and you've given advice
- 13:42Speaker 1: even when I refuse to listen, with a crying face emoji.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Fast forward to Sunday. During Tammy's divorce announcement, she then
- 13:49Speaker 1: said this.
- 13:49Speaker 2: There's a lesson in everything, and hopefully.
- 13:56Speaker 3: This time I learned it. And, you know, hopefully... I.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Am more cautious going forward and more, you know, just.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Eyes wide open and, you know, like, listen to the
- 14:21Speaker 3: people around me and.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Hopefully I just finally learn from these mistakes, which I
- 14:30Speaker 6: feel like I finally.
- 14:33Speaker 3: will.
- 14:35Speaker 2: But yeah, super embarrassing, super heartbreaking, super just shit situation.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Now, just for some context, if you cast your mind
- 14:47Speaker 1: back to October, Tammy's older sisters, Emily and Amy famously
- 14:51Speaker 1: called Matt out during an interview on his podcast. It
- 14:55Speaker 1: was the most awkward interview I've ever heard. And I
- 14:59Speaker 1: still don't get how Matt thought it was a good
- 15:01Speaker 1: idea to share it. He must have been so desperate
- 15:03Speaker 1: for ratings at the time. Is it because Matt doesn't
- 15:05Speaker 1: edit the podcast? Like, because did he not listen to
- 15:08Speaker 1: it back at all? Surely he had to give it
- 15:10Speaker 1: the green light. Oh, but in the moment you knew
- 15:12Speaker 1: it was a train wreck from the get go. Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 1: but maybe he thought there'd be some bits edited out.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I mean, they couldn't have made it any clearer how
- 15:17Speaker 1: much they despised him. They literally called him an immature
- 15:20Speaker 1: baby and said that they had massive concerns about their relationship.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I remember them going on about how they thought it
- 15:28Speaker 1: was so rude that when they came over to Tammy's house,
- 15:30Speaker 1: Matt was acting like it was his own. And that
- 15:33Speaker 1: kind of gave off the impression that maybe Matt was
- 15:36Speaker 1: coming across like a gold digger or just that he
- 15:38Speaker 1: was really enjoying being in Tammy's mansion. Yeah. Well, I
- 15:41Speaker 1: went back and re-listened to the episode and I had
- 15:44Speaker 1: forgotten that one week into their relationship, Tammy and Matt
- 15:48Speaker 1: announced to her family that they were eloping.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:52Speaker 1: And that news led to a crisis meeting with the
- 15:54Speaker 1: Hembrough family where things got really heated. This is what
- 15:57Speaker 1: Emily said about it.
- 16:00Speaker 4: When you guys said you were getting engaged, I was like,
- 16:03Speaker 4: He must be that delusional. I was really concerned because
- 16:07Speaker 4: she is like she's spontaneous and she's a fun spirit
- 16:12Speaker 4: and she likes to do what she wants to do.
- 16:14Speaker 4: But for a guy to come in and think that's
- 16:16Speaker 4: okay when she's got a one-year-old, like I thought that
- 16:18Speaker 4: was a big red flag.
- 16:21Speaker 1: We're talking about things haunting Tammy Hembrough. This must be
- 16:23Speaker 1: top of the list, especially this warning from Emily.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I just hope you know marriage is a serious thing. Yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 1: You have said that to me before.
- 16:34Speaker 4: It is actually a serious thing. And like, I hope
- 16:38Speaker 4: you don't make any mistakes. Like I really pray and
- 16:42Speaker 4: hope that you don't do anything to hurt Tammy.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I'm not going to hurt Tammy.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I have no intention of hurting Tammy. Jeez, that quote
- 16:50Speaker 1: did not age well for Matt Sikowski. The sad thing
- 16:53Speaker 1: is often it's people like your sister's who can see
- 16:56Speaker 1: the red flags. I mean, Matt was clearly love bombing Tammy.
- 17:00Speaker 1: To be fair, we don't know what was going on
- 17:02Speaker 1: inside their relationship. But from my perspective of having experienced
- 17:07Speaker 1: a toxic relationship, normally the person tries to turn you
- 17:10Speaker 1: against your family. And often when the family are calling
- 17:14Speaker 1: out bad behavior, it then in this weird way forces
- 17:18Speaker 1: you together and you're like this team against them. And
- 17:21Speaker 1: I think it seems like that's what's happened in this situation.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And she probably stopped telling her sisters things that Matt
- 17:27Speaker 1: had done that might have been even bigger red flags
- 17:29Speaker 1: for fear of them being really judgmental and hating Matt
- 17:32Speaker 1: even more. Now, a couple of hours after Tammy's announcement,
- 17:35Speaker 1: Matt posted his own statement to his Instagram story. He wrote,
- 17:39Speaker 1: it is with a heavy heart that I share that
- 17:41Speaker 1: Tammy and I have decided to separate. Both of us
- 17:44Speaker 1: have struggled with making this decision. However, we need to
- 17:47Speaker 1: do what is right for ourselves and her three children.
- 17:50Speaker 1: This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together
- 17:53Speaker 1: will always be cherished and never forgotten. We appreciate everyone's
- 17:56Speaker 1: support and space at this time as we navigate the split.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I love at the end how Matt tried to make
- 18:02Speaker 1: out like it was some kind of joint statement with
- 18:04Speaker 1: the way it's like, no, you've had to rush out
- 18:06Speaker 1: this statement. I saw some people saying, Was this possibly
- 18:09Speaker 1: a chat GPT job? Some people were questioning whether his
- 18:12Speaker 1: mum wrote it. And that was a bit of a
- 18:13Speaker 1: dig because before he moved into Tammy's mansion on the
- 18:16Speaker 1: Gold Coast, he was living with his mum in Melbourne.
- 18:19Speaker 1: What really stood out to me was the wording of
- 18:21Speaker 1: her three children, which was pretty upsetting, I think, because
- 18:25Speaker 1: he took on the role of stepfather and it's quite
- 18:27Speaker 1: clear he didn't really take it very seriously. Yeah, but
- 18:29Speaker 1: it would have been more bizarre if he said our
- 18:31Speaker 1: three children. True, but there's a way of saying it.
- 18:34Speaker 1: It felt very cold and callous. What could be for
- 18:37Speaker 1: ourselves and the children? I mean, breakups aren't about winning,
- 18:41Speaker 1: but if you were putting those two announcements together, Tammy
- 18:44Speaker 1: is in the lead by a million miles. But I
- 18:46Speaker 1: think what it boils down to is this was a
- 18:48Speaker 1: rush job by Matt. He clearly didn't know Tammy was
- 18:51Speaker 1: going to go and put that TikTok out on Sunday. Yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: but in saying that, I think Tammy's announcement was very strong.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It really humanized her I was pleasantly surprised by the reaction.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I was a little bit worried about how hard people
- 19:03Speaker 1: would go on her, but I don't know if it's
- 19:05Speaker 1: just the era that we're in at the moment with
- 19:07Speaker 1: Indy Clinton calling out trolls and all of the Tattle
- 19:10Speaker 1: Life stuff that people are actually saying, oh, that's a
- 19:12Speaker 1: real person in the middle of this. Yeah, I think
- 19:14Speaker 1: it's because in the video, she actually owned up to things.
- 19:17Speaker 1: She said, you know, it was my fault. I was
- 19:20Speaker 1: warned about this And it really humanised her. But also
- 19:24Speaker 1: it took away things that people can say to her
- 19:26Speaker 1: because she already said it. She's like, yeah, I get
- 19:28Speaker 1: swept up in this and I really need to learn
- 19:30Speaker 1: from it. You know, I thought I had grown but
- 19:32Speaker 1: clearly not. I think clearly Matt's got a bit of
- 19:34Speaker 1: work to do moving forward as well because I was
- 19:36Speaker 1: a little bit disappointed. While he was trying to push
- 19:39Speaker 1: on his Instagram story that things were okay between them,
- 19:43Speaker 1: he couldn't help but hit back at a commenter that
- 19:45Speaker 1: praised Tammy. So someone wrote, actually don't understand how this
- 19:48Speaker 1: man could or would want to stuff it up. Tammy
- 19:51Speaker 1: is a dream girl. To which Matt responded, you don't
- 19:53Speaker 1: know her. That's just low to go into the comment section. Well,
- 19:58Speaker 1: Matt also liked another comment, which read, finally, he's free.
- 20:01Speaker 1: It's reminding me of Morgan Waterhouse, who was Olivia Rogers'
- 20:05Speaker 1: ex-behavior when they broke up. You know, when his immature
- 20:07Speaker 1: friends came out like, uh, she slept with this man.
- 20:10Speaker 1: It's like, fuck off. Yeah. Do you think she's going
- 20:14Speaker 1: to come back from maternity leave early to do a
- 20:16Speaker 1: tell-all episode? I think so because this has turned into
- 20:19Speaker 1: very big news. I think the fact that they had
- 20:21Speaker 1: their wedding in Vogue as well has made this even
- 20:25Speaker 1: more of a national story. I mean, international even. It's
- 20:28Speaker 1: international news. And the timing of Tammy coming out and
- 20:31Speaker 1: confirming the divorce is quite interesting because just last week
- 20:36Speaker 1: she finally admitted that she was going through something tough
- 20:39Speaker 1: But she didn't really seem at a point where she
- 20:42Speaker 1: wanted to speak about it. However, all of a sudden
- 20:45Speaker 1: that changed on the weekend after Matt was spotted getting
- 20:48Speaker 1: cozy on Saturday night with a Tammy lookalike at the
- 20:51Speaker 1: LA Rams event in Melbourne. The woman in question is
- 20:54Speaker 1: News Corp sports journalist Taylor Little. And they clearly hit
- 20:58Speaker 1: it off because they were spotted together drinking at a
- 21:00Speaker 1: bar in Richmond following the event. Taylor even posted Matt
- 21:05Speaker 1: on an Instagram story. The pair follow each other. So
- 21:07Speaker 1: she shared a video of her and Matt at one
- 21:09Speaker 1: of the NFL activations and wrote, Matt Zukowski won't play
- 21:12Speaker 1: with me and tagged him. Now the story got swiftly deleted.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I feel quite sorry for Taylor because it sounds like
- 21:20Speaker 1: she was at this event doing her job and now
- 21:23Speaker 1: she's suddenly at the center of this huge story. Amy,
- 21:26Speaker 1: I think you're being too kind. I think she put
- 21:28Speaker 1: herself in the center by tagging him in her Instagram story.
- 21:31Speaker 1: There's flirtatious vibes to, oh, Matt Zukowski won't play with me.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Everyone is wondering what's going on with Matt and Tammy.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And the fact that they were spotted together at the
- 21:39Speaker 1: bar was really not a good look. It wasn't a
- 21:41Speaker 1: good look, but Matt's the one who should be looking
- 21:44Speaker 1: out for Tammy. He's the one that's married to her.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So it's on him if he's going to be spotted
- 21:48Speaker 1: out with a blonde Tammy lookalike. It's so awkward how
- 21:51Speaker 1: similar they look. We posted a photo of Taylor Little
- 21:54Speaker 1: on our Instagram and people were like, hang on, I
- 21:56Speaker 1: thought that was Tammy. Well, I was glad to see
- 21:59Speaker 1: that Tammy also had a good Saturday night because she
- 22:01Speaker 1: was at her best friend Isabel Law's birthday and And
- 22:04Speaker 1: Isabel was one of the first people to actually unfollow Matt. Yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: that's when people were like, oh, they definitely must be
- 22:10Speaker 1: broken up.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 1: She looked absolutely incredible. She was wearing this pink dress.
- 22:14Speaker 1: A lot of people are saying it's her Princess Diana
- 22:17Speaker 1: revenge dress. Remember when Olivia Rogers came out with her
- 22:19Speaker 1: revenge dress? Yeah. I mean, at this point, I think
- 22:22Speaker 1: anytime you wear a dress after a breakup, people are like, oh,
- 22:24Speaker 1: it's a revenge dress. Tammy was definitely showing off this outfit, though,
- 22:28Speaker 1: because she posted a TikTok with the caption, been a minute,
- 22:31Speaker 1: makeup and a cute dress is therapy, I swear. She
- 22:34Speaker 1: also mimed to the Taylor Swift lyrics, only bought this
- 22:37Speaker 1: dress so you could take it off. Well, that's a
- 22:40Speaker 1: change because all she was listening to was Sabrina Carpenter's
- 22:43Speaker 1: Maneater song previously. Poor Tammy. She's definitely in her Taylor
- 22:46Speaker 1: Swift era at the moment. After the divorce announcement, she
- 22:49Speaker 1: posted a video of her miming to other Taylor Swift
- 22:52Speaker 1: breakup lyrics. I want to talk about the Vogue wedding
- 22:55Speaker 1: deal that Matt and Tammy had because there has been
- 22:57Speaker 1: a lot of speculation that they weren't announcing the news
- 23:00Speaker 1: of their breakup due to this deal. Yeah, because Vogue
- 23:03Speaker 1: exclusively covered their wedding back in November and it must
- 23:06Speaker 1: have been a pretty significant deal because Tammy and Matt
- 23:09Speaker 1: and also Vogue collaborated on their first wedding photo announcement post,
- 23:14Speaker 1: which is a really big deal with Tammy having 17
- 23:16Speaker 1: million followers. So there was talk that maybe Vogue had
- 23:19Speaker 1: made them sign a contract that if they broke up,
- 23:21Speaker 1: they couldn't announce it in a certain period of time.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Like bachelor style.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And last week I was on my high horse saying, oh,
- 23:27Speaker 1: there's no way that Vogue would be able to do that.
- 23:30Speaker 1: But since then, I've come across the Vogue wedding curse
- 23:33Speaker 1: trend that has been circulating on TikTok. So a TikToker
- 23:36Speaker 1: called Georgie recently pointed out that Vogue weddings are likely
- 23:39Speaker 1: to end in short-lived marriages. So most of them end
- 23:43Speaker 1: in a quickie divorce, usually a year or less later.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And editors at a publication called Air Mail went that
- 23:49Speaker 1: step further. They did their own investigation into it and
- 23:52Speaker 1: found at least 30 weddings Vogue covered. in the last
- 23:55Speaker 1: 10 years have ended in divorce. So some big-name divorces
- 23:59Speaker 1: include Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck as well as Ariana
- 24:02Speaker 1: Grande and Dalton Gomez. There was also Sophia Bush's wedding
- 24:06Speaker 1: that featured in there. I was thinking that maybe it
- 24:08Speaker 1: was because Vogue has started including influencer weddings that there's
- 24:11Speaker 1: been this huge drop. I hope it's not the case
- 24:14Speaker 1: because some very popular influencers' weddings have featured in Vogue recently,
- 24:18Speaker 1: Em Davies and Nikki Westcott. Let's hope maybe Tammy Hembrough
- 24:22Speaker 1: has taken one for the team.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I've been on the hunt for the perfect seven-seater boss
- 24:27Speaker 4: mom car.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Sarah's Day has unveiled her new car to her 1.2
- 24:34Speaker 1: million Instagram followers. Back in February, the self-proclaimed holistic health
- 24:38Speaker 1: princess launched an Instagram series test driving and reviewing luxury
- 24:43Speaker 1: family vehicles. Now, Sarah only ended up sharing two reviews,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but it was a rating success. Yeah, both of those
- 24:50Speaker 1: reviews clocked up over a million views each and created
- 24:53Speaker 1: a lot of discussion online. While most people loved getting
- 24:56Speaker 1: a pervy look inside the luxury cars, others felt that
- 24:59Speaker 1: Sarah was being a little bit tone deaf by splashing
- 25:02Speaker 1: around her wealth. Now, Sarah isn't silly. She's been on
- 25:05Speaker 1: social media for 10 years and she preempted this negative
- 25:08Speaker 1: reaction before she even uploaded the first video. So she
- 25:11Speaker 1: assured her followers that she wasn't out of touch. In
- 25:15Speaker 1: saying that, the reviews of the luxury cars were pretty critical,
- 25:18Speaker 1: but I suppose that's what she's there to do. It's
- 25:21Speaker 1: one of those things where I enjoyed watching the videos,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but I was also like, ugh. It's this strange thing,
- 25:28Speaker 1: isn't it? I think that's a lot of social media. Yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's this weird thing where you're like, I'm really enjoying
- 25:33Speaker 1: seeing the luxury features, but I know I'm never going
- 25:36Speaker 1: to be able to afford it, so I'm a little
- 25:37Speaker 1: bit jealous. Now, Sarah ended up going with a brand
- 25:41Speaker 1: new Audi SQ7 sports model, the Turbo Twin Engine. I'm
- 25:45Speaker 1: pretending like I know what that means, but essentially the
- 25:48Speaker 1: engine is meant to be like a sports car. I
- 25:50Speaker 1: think everyone just wants to know, is this her ultimate
- 25:52Speaker 1: yummy mummy car? That's what she kept labelling it. Well,
- 25:55Speaker 1: it's very nice. It's a very impressive seven seater car.
- 25:59Speaker 1: There are a lot of luxury features. The one that
- 26:01Speaker 1: stood out to me was the massage chairs. What? Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 1: So you Imagine sitting there in peak hour traffic getting
- 26:06Speaker 1: a massage. I've heard of heated seats, but I actually
- 26:09Speaker 1: didn't even know you could get massage seats. The car,
- 26:11Speaker 1: of course, heats and cools the seats too. It also
- 26:14Speaker 1: has automatic soft closing doors, this massive fuck off sunroof
- 26:19Speaker 1: and an automatic opening boot. One thing that didn't really
- 26:22Speaker 1: tickle my fancy though, was it had bright red seatbelts.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I remember when I was looking for my car, The
- 26:28Speaker 1: top models all have like red stitching. I think it's
- 26:31Speaker 1: part of the sports model. I don't like it either. Yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I'm not a massive fan of red and I think
- 26:36Speaker 1: maybe it's got that flashy value to it, but I
- 26:39Speaker 1: think it's going to get old, particularly because she vlogs
- 26:41Speaker 1: a lot in her car. Look, I wouldn't say no
- 26:43Speaker 1: to it. It reminds me of that TikTok video where
- 26:45Speaker 1: people show themselves walking on these really wealthy streets and
- 26:49Speaker 1: they're like, look what they did to the windows. I
- 26:51Speaker 1: wouldn't have done that. He also pointed out that the
- 26:54Speaker 1: brake calipers, whatever they are, they're near the wheel, Already
- 26:57Speaker 1: came in red, but if they hadn't, she would have
- 26:59Speaker 1: got them painted because that's what she normally does. Well,
- 27:02Speaker 1: if you're spending that much money on the car, I
- 27:04Speaker 1: can kind of see why you might want those little
- 27:06Speaker 1: details perfected. My biggest question, though, was how much did
- 27:10Speaker 1: this all cost? Because there was a disparity between prices
- 27:14Speaker 1: in her two reviews. Yeah, because the first car she
- 27:17Speaker 1: reviewed was a Lexus GX550, which cost around $ 130, 000, while
- 27:20Speaker 1: the other car was a seven-seater Range Rover. Which retailed
- 27:27Speaker 1: for $ 350, 000. Far out. You're just paying for the brand,
- 27:31Speaker 1: aren't you? Oh, to be fair, that Range Rover was
- 27:34Speaker 1: absolutely incredible. It had like TV screens. It had a
- 27:38Speaker 1: fridge in it. It was very cool. Yeah, but they're
- 27:40Speaker 1: just all unnecessary extras. I mean, $ 350, 000. That is a
- 27:44Speaker 1: lot of money for a car. Yeah, well, the Audi
- 27:46Speaker 1: that she ended up getting cost around $ 175, 000 for the
- 27:50Speaker 1: base model. Is it bad that that seems reasonable after
- 27:53Speaker 1: hearing how much the Range Rover costs? I'm assuming Sarah
- 27:55Speaker 1: would have got the top model or close to it.
- 27:58Speaker 1: When asked how she came to her decision with the
- 28:01Speaker 1: three cars she reviewed, Sarah wrote, Lexus wasn't as luxurious
- 28:05Speaker 1: as I wanted and didn't have all the extras. Range
- 28:07Speaker 1: Rover was $ 100, 000 more and I couldn't justify that when
- 28:11Speaker 1: the Audi to me felt more me. sporty fast and
- 28:14Speaker 1: a bit unique I had to laugh that that's how
- 28:16Speaker 1: she describes herself I know you know when you realize
- 28:19Speaker 1: these people have way too much time on their hands
- 28:21Speaker 1: to think about how their car reflects them as a
- 28:23Speaker 1: person I mean that didn't come to mind when I
- 28:25Speaker 1: bought my new car no I mean it sounds like
- 28:28Speaker 1: she probably paid around 250 for the car I mean
- 28:32Speaker 1: It's not surprising. We know Sarah's day is a very
- 28:34Speaker 1: successful businesswoman. I mean, she bought her dad a car
- 28:37Speaker 1: for his birthday. Not just a car, an Aston Martin. Yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 1: but did you see she put up a vlog recently
- 28:43Speaker 1: and it was a trip that she and her family
- 28:44Speaker 1: went on to celebrate her mum's 60th and also her
- 28:47Speaker 1: sister's 30th birthday. Of course I know. They went to Fiji.
- 28:49Speaker 1: We had a lot of controversy over our thoughts about
- 28:52Speaker 1: her taking her son out of school.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Oh, yes, of course.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Course I was away for that episode, but I thoroughly
- 28:57Speaker 1: enjoyed the Fiji vlog. So maybe it was worth pulling
- 29:00Speaker 1: him out of school. I was just thinking, what's she
- 29:02Speaker 1: going to get her mum to top the Aston Martin?
- 29:04Speaker 1: But well, what she got her mum was a holiday.
- 29:06Speaker 1: With her? Yeah, to Hamilton Island. And I think they're
- 29:09Speaker 1: staying at some really expensive hotel, but I thought surely
- 29:13Speaker 1: that holiday doesn't cost the same amount of money as
- 29:15Speaker 1: an Aston Martin perhaps she didn't want to share the
- 29:18Speaker 1: extra gift she'd gotten her. You're acting like the holiday
- 29:20Speaker 1: isn't enough as well.
- 29:22Speaker 5: It's incredible.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Of course it's enough, but compared to a brand new car. Well,
- 29:25Speaker 1: I suppose her mum kind of got the car too.
- 29:27Speaker 1: She probably drives in it with her dad. Did you
- 29:29Speaker 1: see that Molly Mae's sister, Zoe Haig, she's bought this
- 29:32Speaker 1: big fuck off car as well?
- 29:33Speaker 2: Oh, really? Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 1: It just shows you how well her influencer career is going.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I mean, to be skeptical, a lot of car brands
- 29:38Speaker 1: would want Zoe Haig driving in her car. So I'm
- 29:40Speaker 1: sure that there's a partnership element. I mean, originally when
- 29:43Speaker 1: Sarah launched this car series, there was a lot of
- 29:46Speaker 1: skepticism around how organic it was. A lot of people,
- 29:49Speaker 1: including myself, thought it was a paid partnership or she
- 29:52Speaker 1: was fishing around for a free car. Yeah, because her
- 29:55Speaker 1: husband Kurt had done a lot of work with Lexus.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So we were assuming at the end of this car series,
- 30:01Speaker 1: it was going to be a Lexus, but we were wrong.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Maybe this was a legitimate series. Yeah, I was surprised
- 30:05Speaker 1: because when Sarah unveiled her new car on her Instagram reel,
- 30:09Speaker 1: she wrote in the caption, again, this isn't sponsored. I
- 30:11Speaker 1: paid for the car myself and have no affiliation with
- 30:14Speaker 1: any car brands. Oh, so you were just out of
- 30:16Speaker 1: touch thinking that people wanted to see you shop for
- 30:18Speaker 1: a luxury car. It wasn't actually a sponsored thing. Well,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I'm still a little bit skeptical because during the review video,
- 30:25Speaker 1: she also said this.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Shout out to Giuseppe.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Giuseppe, you're the man from Audi Sutherland.
- 30:31Speaker 4: You're a legend.
- 30:32Speaker 1: A legend. Giuseppe himself also commented on the reel writing,
- 30:36Speaker 1: an honest pleasure. Thanks for the mention and God bless
- 30:38Speaker 1: you and your family. Enjoy the car. And then she
- 30:41Speaker 1: wrote back the big dog himself. The dealership where Sarah
- 30:44Speaker 1: bought the car also got in on the action, commenting,
- 30:47Speaker 1: glad we could help you find the boss mom car
- 30:49Speaker 1: you deserve. They then reshared the reel to their story
- 30:53Speaker 1: and added a link to the website with the heading,
- 30:55Speaker 1: find yours today. Audi's official Instagram account also added flame
- 30:59Speaker 1: emojis to Sarah's post and she replied, now you can
- 31:02Speaker 1: send me to the F1 when you debut. Monaco, here
- 31:04Speaker 1: I come. So I don't know if it's a case
- 31:06Speaker 1: of the dealership and Audi jumping on board trying to
- 31:09Speaker 1: get some attention or Maybe Sarah got a bit of
- 31:11Speaker 1: a discount. I don't know. I just think that they're
- 31:13Speaker 1: up her ass because they've looked at her Instagram account
- 31:16Speaker 1: and seen that she's got like 1.2 million followers. Well,
- 31:19Speaker 1: a follower wrote, Audi should be paying for this plug,
- 31:21Speaker 1: to which Sarah replied, maybe I'll send them an invoice
- 31:23Speaker 1: and hope for the best. I also noticed in the
- 31:26Speaker 1: original reel that Sarah showed herself signing the paperwork at
- 31:29Speaker 1: the dealership to try and push that she did buy
- 31:31Speaker 1: the car herself. I just don't understand why these luxury
- 31:34Speaker 1: car brands would actually want to sponsor influencers though because
- 31:37Speaker 1: if you think about their following... It's very unlikely that, say,
- 31:41Speaker 1: one of Sarah's 25-year-old followers would then go out and
- 31:45Speaker 1: purchase a $ 175, 000 car. Maybe if you're a brand like
- 31:50Speaker 1: Mazda or... Yeah, but if they convert one person to
- 31:52Speaker 1: buying a $ 175, 000 car, it's pretty good. I just think
- 31:56Speaker 1: it would be more beneficial for... the more normal brands
- 31:59Speaker 1: to sponsor her like Mazda and Nissan, cars that the
- 32:02Speaker 1: everyday person can actually afford as opposed to these luxury
- 32:06Speaker 1: brands that just seem so out of reach for normal people.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And I suppose that's probably why Sarah may have not
- 32:11Speaker 1: done a deal with a car brand because potentially she
- 32:13Speaker 1: didn't want to drive around in that type of car.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I mean, she's been very judgmental when it comes to
- 32:18Speaker 1: Kia Carnival. So my husband would be furious. He had
- 32:21Speaker 1: been pushing me to buy a Kia Carnival when I
- 32:24Speaker 1: was looking. Well, they're not a cheap car either. And
- 32:26Speaker 1: initially when Sarah launched this series into reviewing cars, a
- 32:30Speaker 1: lot of people were like, oh, the Kia Carnival. And
- 32:32Speaker 1: she didn't speak very highly of them. So when she
- 32:35Speaker 1: finally shared what car she got, someone joked in the
- 32:38Speaker 1: comment section saying Kia Carnival is also a seven seater.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And Sarah responded saying, the day you catch me driving
- 32:44Speaker 1: a Kia Carnival, assume I've been cloned or living against
- 32:47Speaker 1: my free will. Another person also made a joke about
- 32:50Speaker 1: the Kia Carnival and someone added a comment saying, apparently
- 32:54Speaker 1: Sarah would rather walk than drive a Kia. Not fancy enough,
