- 0:04Speaker 2: Flip the pages.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Helendar. Oh my god, I forgot to move Carl's twelve
- 0:08Speaker 3: thirty to two point thirty. His astrologist will show up
- 0:11Speaker 3: at the same time.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Is this astronomer?
- 0:14Speaker 2: This is not good?
- 0:15Speaker 4: This is not good.
- 0:17Speaker 2: How about a little marge madness four finger discount?
- 0:22Speaker 4: Dude, welcome to four figure discount where this week we're
- 0:40Speaker 4: going to be getting that kid off?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Maybe I do know? What do you feel like? The
- 0:46Speaker 3: gym before it is a devil? Was not aroundano and
- 0:48Speaker 3: I am guy. Yes, U brace yourself for adult themes. Yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 3: this is a bit of a racy episode.
- 0:55Speaker 4: And yeah, there's a lot happening in this episode.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I thought there is a fair bit. Yeah, the two storylines,
- 1:01Speaker 3: and they do a nice job of sort of dubtailing
- 1:03Speaker 3: those two together. They sort of, yeah, they complement each
- 1:07Speaker 3: other quite well. We did a bit of research into this,
- 1:10Speaker 3: funnily enough, and one thing that came up was that
- 1:12Speaker 3: the Simpsons stuff often feel a little uncomfortable when it
- 1:15Speaker 3: comes to sort of presenting the intimacy between Homer and March.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Intimacy. I think it's an intimacy. What's intimacy.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Let me try that. Think.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yeah, snugly moments. It's weird because I've always even though
- 1:29Speaker 4: they have a lot of them. Yeah, they have a
- 1:31Speaker 4: lot of snuggle moments throughout Simpsons. And I actually put
- 1:33Speaker 4: a post up recently where I feel like that is
- 1:35Speaker 4: the cornerstone of the Simpsons Golden I feel like the
- 1:38Speaker 4: corner stid of the Simpsons Golden.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You put a post up online. I'm sorry, I thought
- 1:41Speaker 3: that was a euphemism.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I put a post up saying that I feelt the
- 1:45Speaker 4: cornerstone of the Simpsons Golden era was the relationship between
- 1:49Speaker 4: Homer and March, because through all of his faults and
- 1:52Speaker 4: March has some faults as well, but mostly Homers, at
- 1:54Speaker 4: the end of the day, they just love each other.
- 1:56Speaker 4: And he would and you knew, you knew at the
- 1:58Speaker 4: end of the day he would do anything for much
- 2:00Speaker 4: as well. And a lot of the time when he
- 2:01Speaker 4: was doing things that felt like selfish, he wasn't deliberately
- 2:04Speaker 4: trying to be a jerk. It's just, you know, sometimes
- 2:06Speaker 4: we do things that yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there are certainly people who do stuff like
- 2:11Speaker 3: that without caring about the impacts or ramifications or anything
- 2:14Speaker 3: like that.
- 2:14Speaker 4: But he always learned his lesson by the end.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah, but you always got the sense at home was
- 2:18Speaker 3: just doing it because of thoughtlessness or anything like that,
- 2:20Speaker 3: but he always did. When it twigged that, I was like, oh,
- 2:24Speaker 3: this is gonna, you know, diminish me in the eyes
- 2:27Speaker 3: of the woman that I love, I was like, oh God,
- 2:29Speaker 3: what an idiot I am. Yeah, and would mend his
- 2:32Speaker 3: ways and you know, things would be righted by the end.
- 2:34Speaker 3: But yeah, I think there are certain episodes in the
- 2:36Speaker 3: later seasons where it's like, oh, he doesn't really care
- 2:38Speaker 3: what he's doing at all, or doesn't care if it's
- 2:40Speaker 3: Marge or whatever.
- 2:41Speaker 4: That's the thing.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah, But at the end of the day, their sex
- 2:43Speaker 3: life was always rocking. You know, they just love one another. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:48Speaker 4: It wasn't just oh, they're just because they're married to
- 2:50Speaker 4: having sex. It's like, no, they seem like they genuinely
- 2:53Speaker 4: love each other and want to have sex. Right this
- 2:56Speaker 4: episode here, there's a lot that I liked, there's a
- 2:58Speaker 4: lot that I didn't like. Right, So before we get
- 3:02Speaker 4: into what I didn't din't like, let's talking about the
- 3:04Speaker 4: tie in here. So in early November two thousand and nine,
- 3:07Speaker 4: this in mid November, Marge was on the cover of
- 3:10Speaker 4: Playboy and she was interviewed by play Playboy and she
- 3:12Speaker 4: had a spread. I remember it being released. I never
- 3:15Speaker 4: bother getting a copy. I was just like, it's just
- 3:17Speaker 4: March in Playboy. So I just I looked it up
- 3:19Speaker 4: for this episode. Can you believe they drew Marge's nipples?
- 3:23Speaker 4: I can't believe that. I was like, oh, they.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Actually went there. I was a little taken aback. But
- 3:29Speaker 3: what is it? Is it rule thirty four that it's
- 3:31Speaker 3: called that. It's like, you know, if there's if anything exists,
- 3:33Speaker 3: there's a there's a porno parody of it.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Okay, there's a live action Simpson's porn parody. I'm pretty sure.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I think I like painted yellow and stuff.
- 3:43Speaker 3: And I was like, what's going on. I think I
- 3:44Speaker 3: came across that and then other hours. That's a wrong,
- 3:46Speaker 3: that's a bad choice of words. But yeah, I'm aware
- 3:49Speaker 3: that it exists, and I have no desire to watch.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Oh no.
- 3:52Speaker 4: But the thing is Marge being in Playboy. She was
- 3:55Speaker 4: interviewed and I was just like, this, that's so weird
- 3:58Speaker 4: to think that Marge, because we've always seen her as
- 4:00Speaker 4: like a mum right, I grew up. I was like,
- 4:03Speaker 4: I know it's just drawn, but it's still like I
- 4:05Speaker 4: don't need it's just felt. I felt weird looking at it.
- 4:07Speaker 4: It's like I shouldn't see Marjor's boom.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah, this was a true case of milk porn. In
- 4:14Speaker 3: this case, milk stands for material i'd like to forget.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but you were saying that you don't think it's
- 4:19Speaker 4: actually a nipple edited straight up a nipple.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I was, as is my wand playing Devil's Advocate Ding
- 4:25Speaker 3: ding Ding, and I was saying that these that the
- 4:29Speaker 3: artists here were giving themselves maybe a little bit of
- 4:32Speaker 3: an escape hatch because you can look you could look
- 4:36Speaker 3: at it. Admittedly I was looking at it on my phone.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It was a relatively small picture and I hadn't cleaned
- 4:41Speaker 3: my glasses, but it was kind of like, because I've
- 4:44Speaker 3: fold up, but you can look at that and go
- 4:47Speaker 3: if someone got really up and I can't believe this
- 4:50Speaker 3: is your painting in Marge Simpsons zipple. No, No, no,
- 4:54Speaker 3: that's that's a fold of the lingerie. You know. If
- 4:56Speaker 3: you were seeing it that way, that's on you. But no,
- 4:58Speaker 3: we didn't draw it that way. If you think that's
- 5:00Speaker 3: a nipple. That's a nipple, that's a straight nipple. I
- 5:02Speaker 3: think it's a nipple. I use this line all the time.
- 5:06Speaker 3: But the Christmas is coming up so we can talk
- 5:08Speaker 3: about it. But one of my favorite bits in Scrooged
- 5:12Speaker 3: the Bill Murray version of the Christmas Carollters. And they've
- 5:16Speaker 3: got like the solid gold dancers on there, and the
- 5:19Speaker 3: sensor is saying, you can't have these women on TV.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You can you could see her nipples through that thing.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Bill Murray's late, No, no, you can't, you can't. And
- 5:28Speaker 3: then you've got a couple of old guys on the
- 5:30Speaker 3: Old Life is on the cruiseade you can you.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Can hardly see them nipples see, and these.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Guys are really looking of my favorite Sorry, long way
- 5:41Speaker 3: to get around to that line, but I mean, look,
- 5:45Speaker 3: I agree with you. Yes they have been racy. They
- 5:47Speaker 3: have put Marge in a see through neg and yes
- 5:52Speaker 3: that's full breastage.
- 5:54Speaker 4: And it was the time. It actually wasn't a tie
- 5:56Speaker 4: with this episode and it wiped out that way. So
- 5:58Speaker 4: al Jie said they thought of this story long time ago,
- 6:01Speaker 4: and they then Playboy approached them as they can be
- 6:03Speaker 4: doing he tie in They're like cool, and I thought,
- 6:04Speaker 4: lets you use that episode now clever marketing.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, yeah, I mean when you see an opportunity,
- 6:10Speaker 3: take it. Yes.
- 6:11Speaker 4: The thing is though with this episode, so the calendar, right,
- 6:15Speaker 4: it's a parody of the Devil Wears prior of with
- 6:17Speaker 4: their Homer story. And this is Marge Calendar girls. That
- 6:21Speaker 4: Calendar girls.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's yeah, that's what I was just looking up
- 6:24Speaker 3: as well, because I was wondering about the other timeline
- 6:26Speaker 3: on this. This is a movie that came out in
- 6:28Speaker 3: two thousand and three, a British movie starring Helen Mirren
- 6:32Speaker 3: and Julie Walters and a bevy of other shall we
- 6:36Speaker 3: say British actresses of a certain age, And that was
- 6:39Speaker 3: a bit of a trend in the early two thousands
- 6:41Speaker 3: of racy calendars with women who were not necessarily sort
- 6:46Speaker 3: of like blonde bombshells or anything like that, or your
- 6:48Speaker 3: traditional pin up girl, but you know, sort of in
- 6:51Speaker 3: suggestive posse, sexy in their own yeah, yes, but with
- 6:54Speaker 3: their Scandinavian part is what they call it scam with
- 6:56Speaker 3: their Scandinavian regions covered up. Yeah, yeah, this is a
- 7:00Speaker 3: bit of a play on that as well. But Marge
- 7:02Speaker 3: doesn't get nude for this, No, it's just suggestive. Yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 4: One thought was kind of them, like why is.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Everyone getting so worked up?
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and the fact everyone's like carrying around calendars. I
- 7:12Speaker 4: was like, it just seems a bit far fetched and
- 7:14Speaker 4: kind of creepy a little bit.
- 7:16Speaker 3: But there's undertones of creepiness in this whole episode. And look,
- 7:20Speaker 3: I don't want to sound too pure talic or anything
- 7:22Speaker 3: like that. I don't mind the idea of Marge and
- 7:26Speaker 3: the other women involved, and it seems like it's all
- 7:28Speaker 3: Marge in this calendar. Seems like they threw her under
- 7:31Speaker 3: the busy. Seems like she's every month. Yeah, I don't
- 7:35Speaker 3: mind the idea of them having like a glass of
- 7:36Speaker 3: one or two to sort of like loosen up. But
- 7:39Speaker 3: it seemed like, you know, Hank doing one of Jul
- 7:44Speaker 3: doing his Spanish accent yet again, was really playing it
- 7:48Speaker 3: with the Andalusian and yeah, to the point where says, oh,
- 7:50Speaker 3: I don't remember doing that. It's like, well, you're pretty
- 7:53Speaker 3: fucking derelict in the bud. This feels kind of, yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 3: very sketchy.
- 8:00Speaker 4: They were doing it for charity, were they not? I
- 8:01Speaker 4: believe I feel like they needed to emphasize that at
- 8:05Speaker 4: least it was going towards something, because it's just like
- 8:07Speaker 4: all those calendars coming out, it's like margin needed to go, well,
- 8:10Speaker 4: at least I've made money for something.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing. Yeah, I mean when she is
- 8:15Speaker 3: celebrated for it. I mean there's that scene where where
- 8:17Speaker 3: she shows up at church and everyone's kind of like, whoa, yeah, Marge.
- 8:20Speaker 4: But it was just a way of getting them to
- 8:23Speaker 4: for Marge's sex drive to be increased because she feels sexier.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Well, yes, it's a pretty sex positive episode in that regard,
- 8:28Speaker 3: but it also did feel like it's like you could
- 8:31Speaker 3: have gone you could have gone about this a slightly
- 8:33Speaker 3: different way because some of it feels a little uneasy.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Because I feel like there was a bit of a
- 8:38Speaker 4: missed opportunity here because there was a scene where Nelson
- 8:41Speaker 4: and Milhouse and mocking Bart in the classroom, and.
- 8:44Speaker 3: They feel like they were mocking him. I think like
- 8:46Speaker 3: they were legitimately kind of like whoa, yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I know, But but Nelson was doing it to piss
- 8:51Speaker 4: off Bart by the end, Yeah, I guess so, because
- 8:54Speaker 4: he was saying I wouldn't wasn't I know, I'd rather
- 8:57Speaker 4: just making puns essentially, and but Bart saying stop a stop,
- 9:00Speaker 4: but he keeps going, he keeps going. They needed to
- 9:02Speaker 4: emphasize the impact of this was having on the kids,
- 9:04Speaker 4: and I think they deliberately left Lisa out of this episode. Oh,
- 9:07Speaker 4: shouldn't Lisa have an issue with this? That's yeah, that's interesting.
- 9:11Speaker 4: They completely just ignore Lisa. She's just not in this episode.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Yeah, because there have been occasions when Lisa has Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 3: I won't say incidents like this have exactly happened, but
- 9:21Speaker 3: there have certainly been incidence where Lisa had to go, Oh, look,
- 9:24Speaker 3: I feel bad about it for this reason, but I
- 9:26Speaker 3: also feel okay about it this reason. And this would
- 9:28Speaker 3: be a perfect opportunity for Lisa to do that kind
- 9:30Speaker 3: of thing where it's like, well, you know, this is
- 9:32Speaker 3: female empowerment, but at the same time, it's exploitation.
- 9:35Speaker 4: That's why I feel like it's a missed opportunity because
- 9:37Speaker 4: he could have literally had a pro like a pro
- 9:39Speaker 4: playboy aspect angle to it, saying yeah, these women are,
- 9:42Speaker 4: you know, showing their bodies, but you know they're doing it.
- 9:45Speaker 4: They're choosing to do this, and there's a benefit of it.
- 9:47Speaker 4: They know they're making money. For charity or that kind
- 9:48Speaker 4: of thing. So Lisa needs to go. Oh, I really don't.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I don't agree with this, but I also see the
- 9:52Speaker 4: positives of it as well.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a great line in an episode of Cheers,
- 9:55Speaker 3: I think where it's like in the Kirsty Alley era,
- 9:58Speaker 3: where I think she's doing something and the answers I
- 10:02Speaker 3: thought you were against female exploitation goes, Yeah, well when
- 10:04Speaker 3: a man does the exploitation, when a woman does it,
- 10:06Speaker 3: it's good business.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I mean it does feel like they, yeah, left a
- 10:13Speaker 3: few storytelling and point making opportunities on the table.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Because they opened it up with the bart scene and
- 10:19Speaker 4: then just there's no follow up to it. Did they
- 10:22Speaker 4: follow up to what? Did she make any money did
- 10:24Speaker 4: the Yeah?
- 10:26Speaker 3: I don't even know what what charity they were doing
- 10:29Speaker 3: this summer, and they talked about the charity added last time. Yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 3: don't step on my one of my questions. But yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I think they really talk about You're right, there's a
- 10:37Speaker 3: lot of holes in this.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Just open ended story.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, well what a holes but open things?
- 10:45Speaker 4: Yeah that's true.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but you've been digging one.
- 10:47Speaker 4: As I was saying that, Marge, she in many ways. Uh,
- 10:51Speaker 4: she's a sexy woman, right, She's always been portrayed as sexy.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Right in threat the episode, she's she's weird in her
- 10:56Speaker 4: own way, but she's she's still sexy. She's very you know,
- 11:00Speaker 4: to get down and dirty.
- 11:00Speaker 3: He's like, weird, what do you mean?
- 11:02Speaker 4: Like people make fun of her hair and she's not
- 11:05Speaker 4: weird personality wise, but she's just normal. What would you say?
- 11:09Speaker 4: She's just average? Average is the right word I'm looking for.
- 11:11Speaker 4: She's average, but she's also you know, she's kinking when
- 11:14Speaker 4: she wants to be king Jo right, freaky, yeah, fredge freaky.
- 11:17Speaker 4: I do think it was kind of weird seeing Homer's
- 11:21Speaker 4: friends look at her in this way, like in the calendar,
- 11:23Speaker 4: it's like even like the principal skinner and charmers in
- 11:26Speaker 4: front of bar, and I was like, it just felt
- 11:28Speaker 4: kind of weird, And I felt like Marge, through all
- 11:30Speaker 4: the body positivity in this episode came across kind of
- 11:34Speaker 4: negatively because Homer, with the size story of Homoe, becomes
- 11:37Speaker 4: Karl's assistant, right, and he's worked like a dog like
- 11:40Speaker 4: devil West Prada, Yes, and Marg just she's got a
- 11:43Speaker 4: new sex driving now because she's feeling sexy. Everyone's complimenting
- 11:46Speaker 4: the way she looks, yadayada YadA, but she but Homas
- 11:49Speaker 4: just got no sex driver docu. He's tired, and Marge
- 11:51Speaker 4: gets frustrated with Homer and it's almost like she can't
- 11:54Speaker 4: she's ignoring the fact that he's working himself like a dog.
- 11:56Speaker 4: He doesn't want this job, but he's been threatened if
- 11:58Speaker 4: you don't do it, I'm going to fire and there's
- 12:00Speaker 4: no jobs elsewhere, so he has to take this job.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah. I think it's a really interesting sort of I
- 12:04Speaker 3: think it's a really strong foundation for a story as well,
- 12:07Speaker 3: that these yeah, mismatched levels of desire, but you know,
- 12:11Speaker 3: each have got their own reasons for behaving the way
- 12:15Speaker 3: they do and feeling the way they do. Yeah, but
- 12:17Speaker 3: they never really I don't know. It feels like the
- 12:20Speaker 3: audience has to join a few of the dots here
- 12:22Speaker 3: or do a bit of the heavy lifting.
- 12:24Speaker 4: The one takeaway that I disliked the most from this
- 12:26Speaker 4: episode was the fact that Marge almost kissed Flanders right,
- 12:30Speaker 4: and Flanders almost kissed March. It just felt so out
- 12:33Speaker 4: of nowhere, especially from the Flanders perspective, because like all
- 12:37Speaker 4: of a sudden March has some water splashed on it,
- 12:39Speaker 4: and all of a sudden, Flanders is hot for March.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Yeah what, And like Flanners is wanting to throw at
- 12:45Speaker 4: all of his beliefs, all of his morals because March
- 12:48Speaker 4: is a bit of water splashed on it. I'm assuming
- 12:50Speaker 4: Flanders hasn't seen the calendar because that's just not who
- 12:52Speaker 4: he is, right Truret. And Marge was willing to kiss
- 12:55Speaker 4: Flanders and cheat on Homer because Homer doesn't want to
- 12:58Speaker 4: have sex with it, but it's not that he doesn't
- 12:59Speaker 4: want to, you can't. So I was just like, I
- 13:03Speaker 4: don't think Marge came across very well in this episode.
- 13:06Speaker 4: From that perspective, I was.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Reading a review of this episode which said, look, this
- 13:11Speaker 3: episode kind of knee kepts itself from the start because
- 13:15Speaker 3: you know that Marge's never get a cheat on home,
- 13:18Speaker 3: you just know it. And likewise, with Flanders, you know
- 13:22Speaker 3: that he's not going to do this kind of thing
- 13:23Speaker 3: as well, So it's really just okay, you can tell
- 13:26Speaker 3: us that this is happening, or you can show us
- 13:28Speaker 3: that this is happening. But it feels like sort of
- 13:31Speaker 3: clad cuckoo Land stuff. It feels like a fairy tale.
- 13:34Speaker 3: It's never really going to happen, so there's no stakes. Yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 3: but I wouldn't say ni Kappa from the start because
- 13:39Speaker 3: not from the start.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Of the story. Yeah, and it just it just it
- 13:44Speaker 4: was like the last five minutes of the episode. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 4: and they're trying to say on March she she just
- 13:48Speaker 4: wants to be shaded by somebody, and I was like,
- 13:51Speaker 4: that's just it doesn't feel like a Marge thing, you know.
- 13:53Speaker 4: It's just it's Marge getting frustrated because she wants to
- 13:55Speaker 4: have sex. It's like, but your husband's tired, and I
- 13:59Speaker 4: know they trying to have Homer going to Paris for businesses,
- 14:02Speaker 4: like he's leaving me for cars. No, he's not in job.
- 14:06Speaker 3: There's that scene where Marge is doing it damned to
- 14:10Speaker 3: seduce hom but all he can see is Carl, I
- 14:12Speaker 3: mean his Carl's face on her boobs.
- 14:15Speaker 4: And I feel sorry for March in those moments because
- 14:18Speaker 4: she wants to make love to her husband. He's tired.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Look, it's get angry at him. It's terrible when a
- 14:24Speaker 3: couple has that mismatched level of desire or intensity, it
- 14:27Speaker 3: happens to the best.
- 14:28Speaker 4: That's why I thought was a positive of this episode,
- 14:30Speaker 4: I thought, as that story in itself is so relatable,
- 14:33Speaker 4: particularly if you've been in a long relationship or a marriage,
- 14:36Speaker 4: because you have these moments where you're just like, I'm
- 14:38Speaker 4: just so tired. It's something I don't want you. I'm
- 14:41Speaker 4: just tired, absolutely, And part of marriage is getting through
- 14:44Speaker 4: those moments, you know, working through it.
- 14:45Speaker 3: But then you know in the later part of the
- 14:47Speaker 3: episode where marges and none but home is not around, Okay,
- 14:52Speaker 3: there's this unky dude next door, because you know they
- 14:54Speaker 3: play it once again, it's like, oh, yeah, it's actually jacked,
- 14:58Speaker 3: you know, sort of super imposed home his face onto
- 15:00Speaker 3: things or something like that. Because I don't know, I
- 15:02Speaker 3: think it's pivotal to the sort of like the Simpsons ethos.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I guess that Marge is only hot for Homer, well
- 15:09Speaker 3: most of the time or ninety nine percent of the time.
- 15:12Speaker 4: But she's trus she read their books and stuff he loved. Yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 4: she's got Yeah, she's attracted to other people in the
- 15:19Speaker 4: sense that, oh, she finds them attractive, but she doesn't.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but invariably it's going to be like, oh, when
- 15:25Speaker 3: I'm fantasizing, I see Homer, but with like the hair
- 15:28Speaker 3: of Fabio or something like that, or I know, and
- 15:31Speaker 3: I think that's maybe something that they should have done.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Window Shopping's fine. Oh, you know, you never you never
- 15:37Speaker 4: believe that, Marge. I think, is this the first time
- 15:39Speaker 4: I've seen this is almost like a Last Temptation of Homer.
- 15:41Speaker 4: But Marge, right, oh yeah, but the stakes in that
- 15:43Speaker 4: one felt more believable, and it's like, Homer, they built
- 15:46Speaker 4: it up to that moment. This just came fucking out
- 15:48Speaker 4: of absolutely nowhere.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Yeah. And I mean, look, listeners and viewers of the
- 15:53Speaker 3: show will know my love the Last Temptation. But one
- 15:55Speaker 3: reason that really works is that, you know, Homer's feeling
- 15:57Speaker 3: this not irrational attraction because he's pretty hot and voiced
- 16:01Speaker 3: by Michelle Feiffer, but he feels very conflicted about it. Yeah,
- 16:05Speaker 3: and he does it.
- 16:06Speaker 4: That's the story of the episode.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why it's called the Last Imptation. But I
- 16:10Speaker 3: mean he's all like, oh, I don't I don't want.
- 16:13Speaker 4: To do doing his best to do to resist it.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And but.
- 16:18Speaker 4: This is just Marge going, oh, it's a hunk in
- 16:19Speaker 4: my kitchen now, and let's go for it. It's like
- 16:22Speaker 4: and it's they're slowly moving towards the kiss, and I was.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Like, no way, yeah, we're not buying it, no sale.
- 16:28Speaker 4: And Flanners to be doing it as well. I just
- 16:30Speaker 4: felt like then ah, and it just gets wrapped up
- 16:33Speaker 4: so weird where it's just I think Marge, Yeah, Marge
- 16:36Speaker 4: ces home is in the reflection of Ned's glassess any
- 16:39Speaker 4: one person I should be in strawberries with Ned goes. Yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 4: I've always felt the same way. I'm like, were you
- 16:43Speaker 4: just about to kiss her?
- 16:44Speaker 2: It was just weird.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Look, human desire is a bit of a mysterious thing.
- 16:50Speaker 3: But yeah, but I liked the ending in particular. I
- 16:53Speaker 3: thought it's one of the better endings for a long time,
- 16:55Speaker 3: where Homer rolls the dice and it's just he says,
- 16:57Speaker 3: classic love wife. I think it's classic example of to
- 17:01Speaker 3: use that word stick the landing, and it makes the
- 17:03Speaker 3: episode come across better. Yeah, sure, because there are faults
- 17:06Speaker 3: throughout this episode. But I liked the ending so much
- 17:09Speaker 3: that I went, you know, that was nice, you know,
- 17:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but yeah, you're a simp. He my favorite.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Did you have any favorite moments from the episode.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I did have a few, actually, when the quote unquote
- 17:21Speaker 3: charity chicks are looking at the Honky Cops calendar, just
- 17:27Speaker 3: love the one of Eddie. Eddie is the lollibob. Got
- 17:30Speaker 3: all these kids like, what the hell, because what he's
- 17:34Speaker 3: he's doing the lollibop duties. But I think he's just
- 17:36Speaker 3: in like briefs or yeah, why I've already used the
- 17:42Speaker 3: term Scandinavian regions this episode, but I think that's a
- 17:45Speaker 3: very good euphemism for private parts. It's right up there
- 17:47Speaker 3: with a five club's bathing suit area.
- 17:49Speaker 4: So this is the thing Marge says, they've seen my
- 17:51Speaker 4: Scandinavian regions.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I'm like, so was she newt No? But we know
- 17:56Speaker 3: that Marge isn't necessarily approved. Oh I think she's what's
- 18:01Speaker 3: the old saying, you know, lady in the streets freaking
- 18:02Speaker 3: the sheets, one of my favorite sayings. And the fact
- 18:07Speaker 3: that she's probably you know, I'm guessing that by the
- 18:10Speaker 3: time we get to August or September or whatever in
- 18:13Speaker 3: the calendar, you know, she's probably down to her probably
- 18:16Speaker 3: down to her small it's probably down to her undies
- 18:18Speaker 3: or something like that, and that's not something that you
- 18:20Speaker 3: want everyone to see. So that, yeah, she would probably
- 18:22Speaker 3: like if you've seen me in my bra and panties,
- 18:26Speaker 3: order then you've basically seen me naked.
- 18:28Speaker 4: But what I really enjoyed was I liked the roll
- 18:29Speaker 4: in the dice thing, right but when I whispering as
- 18:35Speaker 4: But then March has some incredibly sexy lines in this
- 18:37Speaker 4: one here, and then she says something like maybe you
- 18:39Speaker 4: just roll me, and I was like hot diggity down
- 18:45Speaker 4: flashed home and I was like this March is on.
- 18:48Speaker 4: I think she says, everyone enjoyed my calendar, but you
- 18:50Speaker 4: get to flip the pages. I was like, holy shit, some.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Other stuff that I enjoyed. Yeah, episode.
- 18:57Speaker 4: I thought Flant has had some funny lines in this
- 18:59Speaker 4: one too, which I'll get to.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah. I think they were talking about sort of their
- 19:03Speaker 3: mental images and their mismatched libidos in that and the
- 19:08Speaker 3: the not an Idea boat. I thought it was hilarious.
- 19:10Speaker 3: And the minute that it came up, I'm pretty sure
- 19:13Speaker 3: this guy is gonna go.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 19:16Speaker 3: He did. I was like I was very happy.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yeah, they're not not this was it? Not this time, dear,
- 19:20Speaker 4: not tonight, not tonight, dear. That was a that was
- 19:22Speaker 4: a great that's a great visual. Great.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so well done well done that. I'm not
- 19:28Speaker 3: sure I liked the idea of ragging on French rock
- 19:30Speaker 3: and roll. It's very cheesy, but then the French do
- 19:33Speaker 3: cheese better than just made anybody?
- 19:34Speaker 4: Yeah exactly. I don't know plum clash Buttron, Yeah, yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 4: what a song. I don't know that the song.
- 19:46Speaker 3: And damn it, I should have written down the lyrics
- 19:48Speaker 3: as they were driving off in their scooters. But so, yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 3: that sounds like French rock and roll.
- 19:52Speaker 4: It sounded like sar plump.
- 19:55Speaker 3: So I like that very much. And because I'm a
- 19:57Speaker 3: movie nerd, the fact that they dropped the line like
- 20:00Speaker 3: truf on.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Hitchcock, Yes, I really liked So Flantasy's hit with the
- 20:05Speaker 4: mallet or whatever it is, right, and the kids are like,
- 20:07Speaker 4: we thought you're gonna die. We got to live. Uncle
- 20:09Speaker 4: Kevin and his weird friend David and Flanders I would
- 20:14Speaker 4: put roxy pocket and walking out to see before that's
- 20:18Speaker 4: that's a dark gave, but's so funny. And so I'm
- 20:22Speaker 4: watching this and I laugh. I thought it's hilarious, right
- 20:24Speaker 4: because obviously they'm playing that Uncle Kevin's gay, he's got
- 20:26Speaker 4: a weird from David, right, and Flanders wouldn't like that.
- 20:29Speaker 4: I think Flanners is getting a They've changed the character
- 20:32Speaker 4: of Flanders, now, haven't they. Which I think if I'm
- 20:34Speaker 4: a writer, I can go, well you would if your
- 20:36Speaker 4: wife got murdered or not, but got killed, right, so's
- 20:40Speaker 4: his whole personality has changed. But he is a lot
- 20:42Speaker 4: darker now, isn't he, don't you think?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Oh? Certainly in this case.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Yeah, but just I'll put rocks and the pockets walking
- 20:47Speaker 4: see before I let you do? And I was like,
- 20:49Speaker 4: that's dark but so funny.
- 20:50Speaker 3: That felt like though it felt like earlier, even pre
- 20:55Speaker 3: death of Maod, you reckon Flanders as well, because yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 3: I mean.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I feel like kids say it with more. I'd put
- 21:01Speaker 4: rucks in your pockets. He'd be chiry about this start
- 21:04Speaker 4: very blunt.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeh, because he always overreacts, overacted the slightest of slights.

- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that was my favorite. Do you have anymore?
- 21:38Speaker 4: I liked when he says, so the boys are being
- 21:40Speaker 4: grounded because Rod watched the Gray's Anatomy commercial and to
- 21:44Speaker 4: old data.
- 21:44Speaker 3: It Tali was it a day or a week? Today?
- 21:48Speaker 4: Day Italim, and I didn't mind. Just before that, the
- 21:52Speaker 4: kids are leaving. Button Lease at least says I'm going
- 21:54Speaker 4: to a tea party at Janey's parts. We're going to
- 21:56Speaker 4: a stink bomb party next door to Janey's no relation connection.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Yes, next question, you there eating the beast?
- 22:04Speaker 4: All right, trivia time. I've already spoort a couple of yours.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I'll ask one of mine. What is the name of
- 22:08Speaker 4: the photography studio? Oh? Shoot you in the face. Yeah,
- 22:14Speaker 4: shut in the face studio.
- 22:15Speaker 3: It's been two things correct. Wow, this episode. Really you
- 22:22Speaker 3: took pole position with this episode. At the vending machine
- 22:27Speaker 3: at the nuclear plants, Uh, what button do you press
- 22:31Speaker 3: to get beer?
- 22:32Speaker 4: The Mountain Jew. It's club Soda, Club Soda. The kids
- 22:35Speaker 4: have just gotten onto Mountain Jew. They love it now.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Mountain Jew would shore obviously Mountaine was always the one
- 22:40Speaker 4: that just never bothered with it just looked like it
- 22:42Speaker 4: looked like cleaning chemicals. I was like a lot drinking this.
- 22:44Speaker 4: It's like it's radioactive, it's green, but the kids love it.
- 22:48Speaker 3: I remember when it came out like interesting, and I
- 22:52Speaker 3: was like, this is like PHISI a cheaper solo.
- 22:56Speaker 4: It's an interesting name to mountain jew mountained you.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the thing. I mean, you get the impressions
- 23:01Speaker 3: kind of like good for me, hard days hiking, time
- 23:05Speaker 3: to crack a mountain dew? How natural? Guy?
- 23:09Speaker 4: What was the solo? A quench? Quench your thirst?
- 23:12Speaker 3: It's low on the say, slam it down fast.
- 23:14Speaker 4: If it wasn't a quench your first wasn't that there?
- 23:16Speaker 3: Think I had something like that, But yeah, are you?
- 23:19Speaker 3: Are you of an age where the solo man was
- 23:21Speaker 3: like the the selling the selling point. Maybe this was
- 23:25Speaker 3: more in the seventies and eighties, but what's not but
- 23:28Speaker 3: if you solo was the soft drink that you drank
- 23:31Speaker 3: a few after a fucking hard stess like kayaking. If
- 23:35Speaker 3: you don't want to be a soft version of bit. Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 3: I was saying to nicolacause we've been watching commercials. I'm like,
- 23:43Speaker 3: we've been watching these weird commercial we watch watch up
- 23:46Speaker 3: E streaming on Channel ten and it's like, so you
- 23:48Speaker 3: have to watch commercials and HBO has Max has commercial
- 23:50Speaker 3: got the free version, And I was like, why do
- 23:53Speaker 3: they just try and do weird for the sake of weird? Now,
- 23:55Speaker 3: like all these commercials you watch, at the end you go,
- 23:57Speaker 3: what did that have to do with this brand? Right?
- 24:00Speaker 4: What did they have to do with this brand? I
- 24:01Speaker 4: said to Nicola, can we go back to doing jingles?
- 24:03Speaker 4: Why don't we do jingles? Any no ads have jingles?
- 24:07Speaker 4: We used to have fucking jingle for bananas. Remember banana
- 24:11Speaker 4: tip top, good on your mum, on your mum?
- 24:14Speaker 3: They all had And how long has it been since
- 24:16Speaker 3: they had that tiptop ad on? And I still know
- 24:18Speaker 3: good on your mum tip that's the one. That's exactly
- 24:20Speaker 3: what I still know about. Loui with a fly.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Yeah, when you think of flaspreay, what flys pread do
- 24:24Speaker 4: you think of? Thinking more, when you think of bread,
- 24:25Speaker 4: what do you think of tiptop? Sunny crust tip top?
- 24:28Speaker 4: You know it's just bring back jingles.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I was speaking with my mate JP about this market
- 24:34Speaker 3: ingenius JP as his own n.
- 24:36Speaker 4: I think you've explained this, and he had a logical
- 24:38Speaker 4: reason I didn't agree with it.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Well, this was during the it was either during the
- 24:40Speaker 3: Olympics or during some major sporting event. But Telstra had
- 24:44Speaker 3: these ads on it, which is weird. They were like
- 24:45Speaker 3: little Wes Andersen movies. Yeah, and there's like, aren't you
- 24:48Speaker 3: a phone Forbader? Aren't you a Telco service? I don't
- 24:51Speaker 3: know what you're actually selling me here? And I said
- 24:53Speaker 3: to JP, I said, yeah, fus up with that, and
- 24:57Speaker 3: he said, it's a real flex on Telstra's party. They
- 25:00Speaker 3: don't need to advertise because everyone knows who they are.
- 25:02Speaker 3: This is just a reminder of letting you know we
- 25:05Speaker 3: exist and you.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Know what that is. That is and marketing guys who
- 25:11Speaker 4: are circle jerking to justify their inflated fucking wages. They're like,
- 25:16Speaker 4: we could just do the same jingle all the time,
- 25:18Speaker 4: or we can create a whole new thing. Whoa because
- 25:21Speaker 4: it's a flex flex buzzwords flex. Well, no use the
- 25:25Speaker 4: same fucking jiggle used for the last eighty years that's
- 25:26Speaker 4: always worked.
- 25:28Speaker 3: They already everyone already knows who tells her, So this
- 25:31Speaker 3: is just this it's a little bit of entertainment show.
- 25:33Speaker 4: It's marketing teams worry that they don't need them anymore,
- 25:36Speaker 4: so flex and create new campaigns. No, you don't need
- 25:39Speaker 4: a new campaign, just use the same one. It's worked
- 25:41Speaker 4: for twenty years. It's marketing guys fucking flex using. It's
- 25:45Speaker 4: justifying their wages.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well, there's some bank service I've forgotten their name,
- 25:51Speaker 3: but they've got some ads out at the moment that
- 25:52Speaker 3: I really I could see the other ones where it's
- 25:54Speaker 3: they're sinking No, no, no, it's our banking is so
- 25:59Speaker 3: convenient that you know you can spend twenty percent of
- 26:01Speaker 3: your time doing that. And it's these various characters from
- 26:03Speaker 3: various businesses like so and so does their banking with us,
- 26:07Speaker 3: so they can spend twenty three percent of the time
- 26:08Speaker 3: doing this, and they're doing weird sort of activities. Again,
- 26:12Speaker 3: it's quirk just for the sake of quirk. And you
- 26:14Speaker 3: know they've cast these people like I don't like looking
- 26:15Speaker 3: at you. I find you want to be ling.
- 26:18Speaker 4: I saw a Luma bile ad that was talking about
- 26:20Speaker 4: all this stuff, and I was like, just put.
- 26:21Speaker 3: The Luba bill kid on.
- 26:23Speaker 1: That's all you need.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Give me thirteen thirty and thirty two.
- 26:25Speaker 4: That's all you need. Where's the fucking jingles? It's marketing
- 26:28Speaker 4: teams have killed jingles because they realized, oh shit, they
- 26:31Speaker 4: don't eat us anymore. That's what it is probably the case,
- 26:34Speaker 4: all right, So how we get to talking about that? Ummm,
- 26:37Speaker 4: we're doing trivia. Will ask me your question?
- 26:40Speaker 3: How much did the charity Chicks raise during their childhood
- 26:44Speaker 3: obesity drive? One hundred and twelve one hundred and twelve dollars?
- 26:47Speaker 3: What does the sign say at the Romantic Hotel? I'm
- 26:50Speaker 3: reer margin in the bedroom. You see it out the window. Oh,
- 26:54Speaker 3: ocean views beyond this sign. Enjoy the ocean view behind
- 26:56Speaker 3: this sign, behind this sign. Yeah, speaking of that, you
- 26:59Speaker 3: probably already know there. What is the name of that
- 27:01Speaker 3: romantic getaway hotel?
- 27:02Speaker 4: I didn't write it down. I know what was it?
- 27:03Speaker 4: Smooches on the beach, Switchers on the beach. I remember
- 27:06Speaker 4: we went to Hawaii when Alliot was ten weeks old
- 27:09Speaker 4: for a wedding and we tried to go to this
- 27:12Speaker 4: hotel was near the beach, which I just go and
- 27:14Speaker 4: they're like, oh, you can't come in here. You get
- 27:16Speaker 4: a pram. What this is a couple's retreat, and I
- 27:19Speaker 4: was like, ah damn, I was in silent. They all
- 27:21Speaker 4: look so happy. The idea of a couple's retreat. I've
- 27:26Speaker 4: never done it. It sounds great, no kids around, just
- 27:30Speaker 4: adults being adults.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, look, I think I honestly think you should
- 27:34Speaker 3: have that.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Nikola, because you know, you have your highs and
- 27:37Speaker 4: loaves with marriage and whatnot, like you to get through
- 27:40Speaker 4: tough times. And there was a point where Nicholas sort
- 27:42Speaker 4: of said to us, said to me, it's like, sometimes
- 27:45Speaker 4: with life and work and kids, you forget why you
- 27:48Speaker 4: fell in love in the first place. Because you're best friends.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Why do we get married in the first place. We're
- 27:52Speaker 4: best friends. We're friends at the end, at the ground level.
- 27:54Speaker 4: So it's like sometimes you need to you know, as
- 27:56Speaker 4: much as we love the kids, we need to have
- 27:58Speaker 4: time for us as well. Oh yeah, you're just gonna
- 28:00Speaker 4: get away. And I personally it's weird. I feel almost
- 28:03Speaker 4: selfish when I say to Elliott we're going out for
- 28:05Speaker 4: dinner and it's like I want to come, and I'm like, oh, shooting.
- 28:08Speaker 4: And then it's like my mom was like, no, he'll
- 28:10Speaker 4: be fine, go out for dinner. I got and have
- 28:12Speaker 4: a good time, but like I still can't help but feel, oh,
- 28:15Speaker 4: but he's missing out. No, it's like no, no, it's
- 28:17Speaker 4: really important that you can't think that.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Way and have for like two or three hours. Dude.
- 28:22Speaker 4: I know, yeah, yeah, but just sometimes I just feel
- 28:25Speaker 4: that way.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Understandable.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Yeah. My next question, my final question will be for
- 28:30Speaker 4: you is what does Lenny refer to he Homer and
- 28:33Speaker 4: Karl as.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Uh the unsupervisable? Yes, yes, I had one more question.
- 28:40Speaker 3: We already know the name with Uncle Kevin's funny friend.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Don't we It's David. The other questions, no, I only
- 28:47Speaker 4: only have four. I try I find one more for you.
- 28:51Speaker 4: What were the other two besides whispering to eyes? What
- 28:53Speaker 4: were the other two things that Homer rolls out. There's
- 28:56Speaker 4: one lick hairlick eyesick eyes, and spank spank care.
- 29:00Speaker 3: That's right, that's all I got.
- 29:02Speaker 4: You ever played that game? Brother? I used to work
- 29:04Speaker 4: with some guy who was like, the best thing I
- 29:05Speaker 4: ever got was these dice, And then I watched the episode.
- 29:07Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, he was like I love it.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Who's saying that? This guy was like forty five single
- 29:15Speaker 4: and you know, just hadn't had a relationship longer than

- 31:15Speaker 3: joke a lot heroes, absolutely, every last one of them.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Let's get into a review of The Devil Wears Nada,
- 31:22Speaker 4: which apparently is also a thing, The Devil wes Nada.
- 31:25Speaker 4: I typed the Devil wes Nada and something else came up.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah, the movie The Devil was Nader. We discussed this
- 31:29Speaker 3: on our previous episode. Is that an actual movie as well? Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 3: I'm not sure if there is an actual porno called
- 31:34Speaker 3: the Devil, but there is also the B movie that
- 31:37Speaker 3: has a bit of nudity. It did, Yes, I was
- 31:39Speaker 3: directed by your mate, directed by my man, Jim Warnowski.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I think it might have been the legendary kat G who.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Or oh yeah, I think it was Katy G who.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Brought oh name checking Jim Wowski someone.
- 31:53Speaker 4: I think KAG was somebody. You don't check somebody.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Look, if it wasn't katG, first of all, shouted

- 32:12Speaker 4: The top three films at the US box office were
- 32:14Speaker 4: number three, The Man Who Stairs It Men, The Men
- 32:16Speaker 4: Who Stare It Goes.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I think it's got George, it's got a good cast. Actually,
- 32:20Speaker 3: it's got like Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Kevin Spacey. Do
- 32:24Speaker 3: you know the author John Ronson? He really is a
- 32:27Speaker 3: really good social commentator and a podcaster. You McGregor is
- 32:30Speaker 3: in it, you'll Agregor Yeah, it's about this sa Patrick. Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 3: secret department of like the CIO or the FBI or
- 32:35Speaker 3: something that basically was conducting mind control experiments and like, oh,
- 32:39Speaker 3: we've heard there are guys out there who have got
- 32:40Speaker 3: like telekinetic powers and telepathic powers. Let's see if that's
- 32:44Speaker 3: actually real and we can use it as a weapon.
- 32:46Speaker 3: And it's all sort of a black comedy. Don't think
- 32:47Speaker 3: it's very good.
- 32:48Speaker 4: This has nothing like the description on Google Discripminer. After
- 32:51Speaker 4: his wife leaves him, Bob, a newspaper reporter, sets off
- 32:53Speaker 4: to Kuwait to cover the ongoing war. He gets more
- 32:56Speaker 4: than he bargins for when he meets Lynn Cassidy, an
- 32:58Speaker 4: next US Army Special Forces operator.
- 33:01Speaker 3: If you go beyond that, I'm pure starts to come there.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I was like, where's the my controls? Number two was
- 33:08Speaker 3: a Christmas Carol. Oh, okay, so that'd be the Robert
- 33:11Speaker 3: Robertson mecha sort of motion capture one Jim with Jim
- 33:15Speaker 3: Carry's episode me neither Christmas.
- 33:18Speaker 4: They keep doing versions of it all the time, all
- 33:22Speaker 4: the Christmas. Carroll, you peaked, you might as well to stop.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Yeah, for Dane, you've got uppa Christals Carroll for a
- 33:26Speaker 3: guy You've got scrooged.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Just stop there.
- 33:29Speaker 3: But there's that one. They did a guy Pierce one
- 33:32Speaker 3: not long ago where he was screwged. Apparently he's really
- 33:34Speaker 3: good in it, and they're making a new one with
- 33:37Speaker 3: Johnny Depp as Scrooge.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Johnny Depp's coming back apparently back in He's back in
- 33:44Speaker 4: Scrooge form.
- 33:45Speaker 3: And twenty twelve was number one from a Man Rolling
- 33:49Speaker 3: Emrick a pakistone favorite at the Rock that's and Andres. Yes,
- 33:54Speaker 3: this one's got John Q Sagudy Harrelson.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Any good twenty twelve.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Never watched it, not as good as The Day After Tomorrow, But.
- 34:01Speaker 4: I remember hating it when I watched it, But that
- 34:02Speaker 4: was when it first came out.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah, very prescient as well. Yeah, yeah, gotta have twenty
- 34:09Speaker 3: two and it's about I think it's like the last
- 34:14Speaker 3: one of those really big sort.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Of disaster movies, like, yeah, we haven't done one for
- 34:18Speaker 4: a long time.
- 34:18Speaker 3: We have not because the world's disaster now.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like it's time for another, a good
- 34:25Speaker 4: alien invasion movie or a disaster movie of some kind that, yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 4: the perfect Netflix movie, Like you can put one of
- 34:32Speaker 4: these out every year and people would eat that ship up.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Well that's the Unfortunately the last version we got was
- 34:36Speaker 3: that ice Cube War of.
- 34:37Speaker 4: The World's Yeah. I got about twenty five minutes in
- 34:40Speaker 4: and I was like, so someone toil me. It's worth watching.
- 34:42Speaker 4: It's good. And then I started watching it.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I was like, it might have been me saying this
- 34:46Speaker 3: is so bad it's good, or this is so fucking strained.
- 34:49Speaker 4: No, no, because then I messaged my friend. I was like,
- 34:51Speaker 4: I'm halfway half now does it get better? And he
- 34:54Speaker 4: was like, well, you actually started watching it. I was
- 34:55Speaker 4: kidding it starts, asked c what were you thinking? And
- 34:57Speaker 4: I'm like, it's not just Cube the Star and Ghosts
- 35:01Speaker 4: of Marks Friday and you know Triple X two Colin,
- 35:05Speaker 4: State of the Name, Stay the Union, for those were
- 35:09Speaker 4: the top three films that US box office when this
- 35:11Speaker 4: episode originally and What a Time to Production code l
- 35:14Speaker 4: A B F one seven written by Tim Long dread
- 35:16Speaker 4: by Nancy Cruz. Right, So the episode kicks off with
- 35:19Speaker 4: what was it, Davis, Well, don't forget how you know Billboard,
- 35:23Speaker 4: chalk Board, Yeah, cloudy gag and you know Billboard, facet
- 35:26Speaker 4: Billboard comes first.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Billboard, Don't face this Christmas sober stuff man. Yes, that
- 35:33Speaker 3: felt it felt lazy.
- 35:35Speaker 4: I didn't mind it.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it just felt like, I don't know, you could
- 35:38Speaker 3: have had an opportunity for like sort of better word
- 35:40Speaker 3: playing there, or you could have been really just like
- 35:44Speaker 3: this is a joke as well as.
- 35:45Speaker 4: Like being a little more saddle with it, have like
- 35:48Speaker 4: a reindeer cords.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Or something like that.
- 35:52Speaker 4: I didn't mind it. But yeah, you're right, chopboard gag.
- 35:55Speaker 4: I do not have the hots for my mum. I
- 35:58Speaker 4: have issues with this. So Bart was walking dound saying
- 36:01Speaker 4: he did have the hots for his mom. Yeah, what
- 36:04Speaker 4: the hell is going on here? So Bart's punishment was
- 36:07Speaker 4: to say, no, you do not have the hots for
- 36:09Speaker 4: your mother. Yeah.
- 36:10Speaker 3: When when did the song Stacy's Mom come out?
- 36:13Speaker 4: I was like twenty three?
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, fo Yeah, I'm trying to just come up with
- 36:19Speaker 3: any sort of pop culture connections, like.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Because kind of like ties into the story of this
- 36:22Speaker 4: episode as well. But yeah, but I don't think Bart
- 36:24Speaker 4: having the hots for his mom. It's just I meant
- 36:27Speaker 4: hot for teacher. Yeah that doesn't work either.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, being hot for moms and mean being hot
- 36:34Speaker 3: for milks or whatever. Yeah, but it's like, yeah, this joke,
- 36:36Speaker 3: need a little more explaining it or just does not exist.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and the cash gave the Simpsons are cave people
- 36:40Speaker 4: who sit on a log sinks into the tar pits,
- 36:43Speaker 4: and they are in a museum on the as a
- 36:46Speaker 4: catch gay. So the episode kicks off with Ted's farewell party.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Here is the supervisor of sixty seven.
- 36:52Speaker 3: G indeed got a soft spot for Ted. You got
- 36:55Speaker 3: a good plan for retirement. He's just going to do
- 36:57Speaker 3: some gardening, have a little early dining, and maybe learn
- 36:59Speaker 3: some Chinese early dining. Oh so you appreciate you get. Look,
- 37:05Speaker 3: you get a few more miles on the meter. It's like,
- 37:07Speaker 3: why have dinner at seven thirty when I got have
- 37:09Speaker 3: it at five?
- 37:10Speaker 4: Yeah? That can be out, you know, doing stuff at
- 37:12Speaker 4: seventh thing?
- 37:13Speaker 3: What I fucking life hack early dining rules man?
- 37:17Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, Because Nicol and I went through a phase
- 37:20Speaker 4: where the kids would eat first and then we want
- 37:21Speaker 4: to eat out dinner and pizza. We'd eat dinner at
- 37:23Speaker 4: like seven thirty eight, and it's like it's too late. Oh,
- 37:25Speaker 4: it's most a bedtime and it's like I feel heavy
- 37:27Speaker 4: when I go to bed. It's like, no, just eat
- 37:29Speaker 4: it five.
- 37:29Speaker 3: And it's funny for so long. That was even when
- 37:32Speaker 3: I even when I was young, kind of like, ah,
- 37:35Speaker 3: it was a yeah. The code was like, oh, well
- 37:39Speaker 3: when I get on, I'm going to have dinner at
- 37:41Speaker 3: five thirtyes something. Oh god, what a way to live.
- 37:43Speaker 3: That sucks. And then you look at it now it's.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Like maximize your nighttime. It's brilliant. And he also is
- 37:49Speaker 4: going to learn mandeviin but apparently he's garbage at it.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Well, yeah, the young the subtitles on the Disney Plus
- 37:55Speaker 3: thing was like gibberish chines as it says I Cam,
- 37:58Speaker 3: at which point the one Asian person said.
- 38:01Speaker 4: That who had never seen before.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought, by the way, a nice I would say,
- 38:07Speaker 3: culturally sensitive nod. But yeah, he say he's learning Mandarin Chinese.
- 38:12Speaker 3: He's not just learning Chinese.
- 38:13Speaker 4: It feels like Golden would have said Chinese.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Yes, indeed, I suppose, Yeah, Hank is here he sorry
- 38:20Speaker 3: hand under the Bus's episode you're take catching strays, buddy,
- 38:24Speaker 3: But yeah, learning Mandarin Chinese as opposed to Cantonese.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Yes, Lenny khen Homer celebrated, By way, did you think
- 38:31Speaker 4: I thought Ted was a giant hand guy covering his
- 38:33Speaker 4: hand oh, you couldn't see his hands, Like, is he
- 38:36Speaker 4: gonna reveal to be that the giant hand. I would
- 38:37Speaker 4: know he's a supervisor because.
- 38:40Speaker 3: He looks like Halloween was not long ago.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I mean it was like a month aw dood was
- 38:43Speaker 4: that costume?
- 38:44Speaker 3: But I am tired joking.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Sorry, anytime I quite they learn, I've got to do that,
- 38:50Speaker 3: boye because it's perfect. If that was said, that is brilliant,
- 38:57Speaker 3: that'd be a nice, nice callback or shout out.
- 38:59Speaker 4: But Lenny, Karl and Homer they say they're going to
- 39:01Speaker 4: Misted because he lets them get away with murder. Basically,
- 39:03Speaker 4: they have adjustments to the vending machine. They've put beer
- 39:05Speaker 4: where it should be club soda, and they call they
- 39:08Speaker 4: call themselves the unsupervisables. But then mister Burns arrives and
- 39:10Speaker 4: Homo suggests. He says that we're going to get a
- 39:12Speaker 4: new supervisor. Hamasons can't be just supervised ourselves. And he
- 39:14Speaker 4: has the vision or apparently all three from have the
- 39:16Speaker 4: vision of them just writing cars around our plan or whatever. Yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 4: power plan, isn't it?
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah it is. I'm trying to figure if that was
- 39:21Speaker 3: a shout out to anything. It kind of looked like
- 39:23Speaker 3: the Italian job. It looked like it was meant to
- 39:24Speaker 3: be something, didn't they Yeah, you're ware of the Italian Joeyeah,
- 39:27Speaker 3: I am, indeed. Yeah, they're remake like twenty Yeah. Mark Warlberg, right, it.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Was Mike Wahlburg me by movie knowledge.
- 39:35Speaker 3: In earlier for Jason Statham. Really yeah, playing I believe
- 39:40Speaker 3: Handsome Bob. One thing I liked before that was the
- 39:45Speaker 3: guys hiding their beer. Is I just gotta laugh out
- 39:48Speaker 3: of Gum putting in his pants and.
- 39:50Speaker 4: It looks like, well that's coming up, Because this is
- 39:53Speaker 4: where burn says, I'm going to choose one of you
- 39:54Speaker 4: guys going to He says, which one will I choose?
- 39:57Speaker 4: Homer's sitting there looking dumb. The fly flows up his
- 39:59Speaker 4: nose up here, it's hollow inside. Then he tries to
- 40:02Speaker 4: hide the beer, puts it on his pants, as you
- 40:03Speaker 4: were saying, is with himself, and Carl fixes a light bulb.
- 40:06Speaker 4: So we choose up front runner and immediately, as you know,
- 40:09Speaker 4: as the cliche goes, as soon as they're promoted, they're
- 40:11Speaker 4: not your friends anymore correct correct.
- 40:13Speaker 3: By the way, I also liked Burns's line about promoting
- 40:16Speaker 3: people him because his kidney.
- 40:17Speaker 4: Is now his heart or something on those lines. Yeah,
- 40:19Speaker 4: it's none funny. Gives him the key to the executive washroom,
- 40:22Speaker 4: and Carl just sees himself in the reflection. It's like, oh,
- 40:24Speaker 4: a man, I've grown. And Homer says, our boss is
- 40:28Speaker 4: our best buddy. But they're giving high fires. But Carl
- 40:30Speaker 4: doesn't give high fire because he's now saving his arm
- 40:32Speaker 4: for filling out employee evaluations.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Indeed, yes, but according to them, the nitwits are indeed
- 40:37Speaker 3: running the goof house.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, but he says no. They look at him.
- 40:40Speaker 4: At least he hasn't changed, and then Carl of this
- 40:41Speaker 4: speaker says, I have changed in ways you're only beginning
- 40:44Speaker 4: to suspect. Marge meanwhile, has caught a meeting of the
- 40:47Speaker 4: Springfield charity Chicks. Last year's cake and cookie sale raised
- 40:50Speaker 4: one hundred and twelve dollars to fight childhood obesity. We
- 40:52Speaker 4: cut to Bart Martin and Utter in the treehouse eating
- 40:55Speaker 4: all of these cakes and cookies.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Don't.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Utter falls through the roof off the floor, which is
- 41:01Speaker 4: kind of depending where it is the floor. It's the
- 41:03Speaker 4: floor of the tree of the tree house. But it's
- 41:05Speaker 4: like it's high as a roof to go to the.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Beastie Boys on pools, which one man's ceiling is another
- 41:09Speaker 3: man's floor.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yes, he falls through Luen and suggests that this year
- 41:13Speaker 4: calendar they should do it like the Beefcake one. I
- 41:15Speaker 4: love it, called Beefcake, the beefcake Police calendar.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I love it because yeah, male calendar is are beefcake
- 41:21Speaker 3: and female calendars of cheesecake? Is it?
- 41:23Speaker 4: Yeah? Have you never have cheesecake calendar? I had fun,
- 41:32Speaker 4: But she says they need a theme and margin. Looks
- 41:34Speaker 4: at the history of genocide. How about history? Yes. This

- 42:15Speaker 3: accent yep, which is what he uses for everything pretty
- 42:18Speaker 3: much the man of a dozen vites. He sorry, Hank,
- 42:23Speaker 3: I love your work. Buddy.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Marjin comes in as the Tiger Woods of the nineteen thirties. Yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 4: Babe Didrickson Sahara Saharias, Yeah, who probably an absolute legendary golfer.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, But then he asks for more, babe
- 42:36Speaker 4: and less Didrickson Saharias. So she suggests taking off one glove.
- 42:40Speaker 4: She takes off gloves another glove underneath. So then he
- 42:42Speaker 4: gets gets her drunk on wine indeed, yeah, and she
- 42:45Speaker 4: starts getting funky shakes all at one point shakes all
- 42:47Speaker 4: the clothes off.
- 42:48Speaker 3: It certainly seems that way. Yeah, it's a little bit
- 42:50Speaker 3: about babe. Didrickson not only a world champion golfer, she
- 42:53Speaker 3: won two gold medals in track and field at the
- 42:55Speaker 3: thirty two Olympics.
- 42:56Speaker 4: Holy shit, what.
- 42:58Speaker 3: A lady. Although, yeah, let's be gender inclusive, gender non specific.
- 43:05Speaker 4: What lord?
- 43:05Speaker 3: Yeah, holy shit, babe. Some people are just good at everything.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Yeah for me, But it's like Alliott, he just picks
- 43:13Speaker 4: up a cricket ball, just bowls the board, just bowls
- 43:15Speaker 4: me out. I'm like, you're seven, how are you bowling? Pace? Not?
- 43:20Speaker 4: This thing is now he washed a shamee worn. It's
- 43:22Speaker 4: like before a game one day, like Shane war teaching
- 43:24Speaker 4: how to do his various balls, so he washed it.
- 43:26Speaker 4: He studied this because Alliot the kids had COVID last week,
- 43:29Speaker 4: so and Nicol had COVID. I didn't get COVID. So
- 43:32Speaker 4: he was just watching cricket videos on YouTube and he
- 43:34Speaker 4: was studying. Shane won't explaining how to do balls. Now
- 43:37Speaker 4: he can do a flipper. Wow, he's like he was teaching.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I was like, he goes, I show how to a flipper.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Dad.
- 43:42Speaker 4: I was like you just no, no, you use this
- 43:44Speaker 4: finger this thing and you get like flick it like
- 43:46Speaker 4: that and then you flick it. But you're gonna try
- 43:47Speaker 4: to make a bounce. He said that chicks and make it.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Think it's going to be a leg spin, but it
- 43:50Speaker 4: goes straight towards the stumps. And I was like, you're seven.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Too much cricket terminology in this conversation, but I get
- 43:57Speaker 3: where you're coming from. I appreciate it. He's dude, wait
- 44:00Speaker 3: it out.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Well.
- 44:03Speaker 4: But then they were shopping more and Marge's dragging Bart
- 44:05Speaker 4: to go buy some new clothes, and Bart straight and saying,
- 44:07Speaker 4: one day, I'm going to drag you around to buy
- 44:08Speaker 4: some new clothes and margins like that seems lovely, That's
- 44:10Speaker 4: very nice. It's like, I've got here my notes. It's
- 44:13Speaker 4: amazing how kids can find a way to complain when
- 44:15Speaker 4: you're doing something for them. We're gonna go to a supermarket,
- 44:18Speaker 4: I know, I know. It's like, well, do you want
- 44:19Speaker 4: to eat? Yeah, I'm getting new food. Yeah, I'm wasting
- 44:23Speaker 4: my money. Oh yeah on you shad.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Okay good yeh. Flipping bowling is yeah. Remember when I
- 44:30Speaker 3: was a teenager, you know, Mum would take me into
- 44:32Speaker 3: town and getting new shoes.
- 44:33Speaker 4: I like, and it'll make these sneakers.
- 44:35Speaker 3: I want these slightly more expensive sneakers that look cool.
- 44:40Speaker 3: There's no tick and get a fucking job.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Junior, It's like me buy kids hungry jacks or whatever.
- 44:46Speaker 4: I'm pincher chips like that's my chip. I'm like, motherfucker,
- 44:53Speaker 4: welcome to Spike Club.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but that does like March, that'd be very sweet.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Took me around them all and bought me much.
- 45:02Speaker 4: We want to go shopping with the kids, of course.
- 45:04Speaker 4: But Marge realizes here that she's been pinupped.
- 45:08Speaker 1: I've been pinupped, and every month there's me I don't
- 45:16Speaker 1: remember doing this. Oh, I certainly don't remember doing August.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Hey, calendar lady, you don't take your clothes off? No, well,
- 45:27Speaker 2: I got the next birst thing.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that joke went on for maybe like two seconds
- 45:40Speaker 4: too long, you did, Yeah that was We come up
- 45:42Speaker 4: a commercial at the power plant, and Homer has a
- 45:45Speaker 4: great safety report. Karl is supporting him, saying, well done,
- 45:48Speaker 4: and they're going to make you my safety assistant. Her says,
- 45:50Speaker 4: kind of just keep my current job, whatever that is.
- 45:52Speaker 4: And you, Carl threatened, saying you're either going to be
- 45:54Speaker 4: my assistant or you're gonna look elsewhere. And in this
- 45:56Speaker 4: economy hiring, especially in this econdoment. Bolly Margin arrives to
- 46:02Speaker 4: church without Homer. I guess how is busy with Karl?
- 46:05Speaker 3: Now? Yeah?
- 46:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean whatever that thing.
- 46:09Speaker 3: You could have taken the two seconds with cleaders and
- 46:12Speaker 3: put them like, sorry, I can't come to church. But yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 3: Carl's got me, you know, doing spreadsheets. Yeah.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Then Comic book guy says that it's the woman who
- 46:21Speaker 4: made February the hottest month of the year. Mister Burns
- 46:23Speaker 4: compliments her shapely gambs and then some woman look like Oprah. Yeah,
- 46:28Speaker 4: so she's wearing purple, like the color of purple, Like
- 46:31Speaker 4: what is going on here?
- 46:32Speaker 3: True?
- 46:32Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot, that's true. Yeah, it's not missus Hibbitt. No,
- 46:38Speaker 4: it's not at all. It's not missus Hibbitt, absolutely not.
- 46:42Speaker 4: It's just it looked like Oprah, I thought anyway, but
- 46:43Speaker 4: it was Oprah. Think in two thousand and nine, when
- 46:45Speaker 4: did she finished? But he's never not a bitter thing,
- 46:47Speaker 4: but like her TV show, like it wasn't on TV anymore.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but then she's still Oprah. But what is she
- 46:51Speaker 3: doing now? Being Oprah?
- 46:53Speaker 4: Where doing what?
- 46:54Speaker 3: Everywhere? Where?
- 46:56Speaker 4: The name one thing I've seen Oprah do in the
- 46:58Speaker 4: last five years she did that interview with Harrr. Besides
- 47:02Speaker 4: the royal interview.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I think she just exists in the in the zeitgeist.
- 47:07Speaker 3: But doing what no, as I like to say, when
- 47:10Speaker 3: you're super rich, she's sitting on a beach and only
- 47:12Speaker 3: twenty percent. Yeah, she's, you know, hanging out with Steadman.
- 47:17Speaker 4: This person says, yeah, the pants aren't hiring because your
- 47:19Speaker 4: butt won't quit and the Margin's like, oh wait a minute,
- 47:21Speaker 4: people are coming to here. They thought it was good.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Homan that gets home exhausted, and Marge is dressed very sexy.
- 47:25Speaker 4: She says, everyone loved her calendar, but only he gets
- 47:28Speaker 4: to flip the pages, and Homer's reminded, oh my god, calendar,
- 47:31Speaker 4: Carl's calendar. He's astrologer, is going to be this astrologer
- 47:34Speaker 4: same time as astronomer.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Astrologer and astronomers.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, she's just he's freaking out, just panicking about work.
- 47:39Speaker 4: And I think we've all had times where it's like
- 47:41Speaker 4: I'm bringing my work home with me and I can't
- 47:43Speaker 4: switch off. Yeah, and I can relate to this completely.
- 47:45Speaker 4: And she suggests a marge madness and the visions of
- 47:48Speaker 4: the various libidos, so hers is just like firing and
- 47:50Speaker 4: all cylinders and how is this there? And Homer suggests cuddling.
- 47:57Speaker 4: She's cuddlings for after and then he falls asleep. She
- 47:59Speaker 4: says to my love, and I was like, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 4: that's very sweet, but we've all been here.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Oh goodness, give it his cuddle, because you know, sometimes
- 48:09Speaker 3: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. But
- 48:12Speaker 3: sometimes sometimes the spirit and the flesh are both unwilling.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Sometimes, and it's okay for a man to feel this
- 48:18Speaker 4: way as well, Like sometimes people as a man, it's
- 48:20Speaker 4: like no, no, you're not a man. If I don't
- 48:23Speaker 4: like to live, it's like, no, it's okay for you
- 48:24Speaker 4: not to want it either. Sometimes you were just not
- 48:27Speaker 4: up for it. And we mean that in all senses
- 48:29Speaker 4: of the time, and that is okay, It's all right.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 4: The next night, she's keen again and Homer still focused
- 48:35Speaker 4: on work, so she flushes him to take his mindful things,
- 48:37Speaker 4: but he just sees Karl's faces in her boobies are
- 48:41Speaker 4: and he says, let me alone, you too. He starts crying,
- 48:43Speaker 4: and March was like, oh, this isn't good. But again,
- 48:45Speaker 4: though I don't think she's angry at him yet, she's
- 48:47Speaker 4: just more disappointed.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah.
- 48:49Speaker 4: And then at school, Nelson is making various puns about
- 48:51Speaker 4: Marge Millhouse says that she can tuck him in any time,
- 48:54Speaker 4: and it's just yeah, just them just mocking Bart.
- 48:56Speaker 3: They're dumb ass kids.
- 48:57Speaker 4: They are dumast kids. Yeah, but then that's fighting Nelson.
- 49:00Speaker 4: So he gets taken to the principal's office and then
- 49:02Speaker 4: Skinner and Chalmers say they're going to plan a meeting
- 49:04Speaker 4: with his parents. Let's check out the calendar and then.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Let me check my calendar.
- 49:08Speaker 4: Yeah creeps right, be creepy, Yeah, let me do it
- 49:12Speaker 4: in front of the kid carrying out a calendar. Anyway,
- 49:14Speaker 4: just weird home and then walks in late and he
- 49:17Speaker 4: says he's booked a night at a romantic hotel with
- 49:19Speaker 4: an obstructive view, which Marge finds very appealing. And they
- 49:22Speaker 4: arrive and Homers says he's worked one hundred hours this week.
- 49:24Speaker 4: He took a pound up on the way, so he's
- 49:26Speaker 4: ready to go, and Marge has brought some massage oil
- 49:28Speaker 4: lingerie from the Horny Hobby and some snuggle dice.
- 49:33Speaker 1: This one has an action and this one has a
- 49:36Speaker 1: body part. See muzzle neck with pleasure.
- 49:42Speaker 4: Let me.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Lick e.
- 49:46Speaker 4: I'll try again, spank hair? What's it?
- 49:52Speaker 2: Whisper into all? This game sucks?
- 49:57Speaker 3: Why don't you just throw me?
- 50:00Speaker 4: That is arguably the sexiest thing Marg's ever said. Why
- 50:03Speaker 4: don't you just roll me? And he starts falling asleep
- 50:06Speaker 4: dough and she asked, why wou'd you touch me? It's like,
- 50:09Speaker 4: what do you think? He just said?
- 50:10Speaker 3: He went one hundred outs.
- 50:11Speaker 4: Yeah, mother fuck is tired. And if he quits, who's
- 50:14Speaker 4: going to be buying your ship from the horny Hobby?
- 50:16Speaker 3: Well that's true, that's true.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I mean, but.
- 50:20Speaker 3: If you have set up a romantic getaway weekend, you
- 50:24Speaker 3: should probably a pre game as best you can to
- 50:26Speaker 3: make sure that you can deliver.
- 50:28Speaker 4: I think it's more Carl's the villain here.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, Oh look I'm not. Yeah, I'm not having
- 50:33Speaker 3: to go at home. But I don't know you did
- 50:36Speaker 3: set this up, Bud.
- 50:36Speaker 4: So Yeah, he drinks the I think it's just a
- 50:39Speaker 4: massage oil or something.
- 50:40Speaker 3: He does, and the oil has gotten name. It's got
- 50:42Speaker 3: a joke name it I forgotten.
- 50:44Speaker 4: Anyway, but he drinks it. They start kissing, and then
- 50:46Speaker 4: Carl calls and says they're going to have been booked
- 50:48Speaker 4: in for fishing week. Fishing week, Yeah, fishing week in.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Paris, in Paris, Yeah, yes, So this is where the
- 50:54Speaker 3: there was Proud of stuff really sort of kicks in.
- 50:57Speaker 4: I remember seeing the movie.
- 50:58Speaker 3: You have no real recollection of it. I remember it's
- 51:00Speaker 3: just Anne Hathaway and Meryl Stream Meryl Street. Yeah, sequel
- 51:03Speaker 3: coming out very soon. It is too Yeah, what was
- 51:05Speaker 3: it called Devil was prior to too the Devil with
- 51:09Speaker 3: more Prada. Yeah, this is coming with the Devil productor
- 51:14Speaker 3: there's been I won't say controversy about it, but you've
- 51:16Speaker 3: got a lot of people in the fashion world because
- 51:18Speaker 3: the Devil is Prada is very beloved by a lot
- 51:20Speaker 3: of people, but also a lot of fashion used to think, oh, yeah,
- 51:23Speaker 3: this is is Finally they made a movie for us,
- 51:26Speaker 3: and they've been looking it's like an advanced photos and
- 51:28Speaker 3: going why does this fashion look so fucking cheap? I
- 51:31Speaker 3: was like, these people are meant to be sort of
- 51:32Speaker 3: like the upper echelon the you know, the trendset of
- 51:34Speaker 3: the movies and shakers of couture, and it looks like
- 51:38Speaker 3: they're wearing like fast fashion.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Wasn't this the first big role for what's her assistance
- 51:42Speaker 4: name and Emily blood Blunt? Yeah, it was this our
- 51:44Speaker 4: first big role, one of.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Her first big roles. Absolutely. Yeah, very good, isn't it.
- 51:47Speaker 4: They' married to John.
- 51:50Speaker 3: She is married to John Krazinski and her sister is
- 51:53Speaker 3: married to her was Prada coastar Stanley Tucci.
- 51:57Speaker 4: There we go?
- 51:58Speaker 3: How about that?
- 51:59Speaker 4: How about that you learn something you don't have fun,
- 52:02Speaker 4: but you're so basically, yeah, it's not going well for
- 52:05Speaker 4: home in March. But Homer's been invited to Paris. Of course,
- 52:07Speaker 4: so it gets to Homer leaving and Marge's angry at him.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Now she says, I'll make it up to you. Last
- 52:12Speaker 4: night was the chance to make it up to me.
- 52:14Speaker 4: She's the most intimate moment we've had this week was
- 52:15Speaker 4: when I ironed your shirts and he says, well, actually
- 52:17Speaker 4: Carl's shirts. And I mean this is the only sort
- 52:21Speaker 4: of part in the episode where Homer comes across as
- 52:22Speaker 4: like a bit of a dick and he doesn't want
- 52:24Speaker 4: to be with March. He says, it's long, I want
- 52:26Speaker 4: to go, go, go go, and then it takes office
- 52:28Speaker 4: like I think he's more just wanted to get away
- 52:30Speaker 4: from being in trouble. Yes, yeah, if it could be
- 52:33Speaker 4: shagging Marge, I think he'd be shagging Marge right now,
- 52:35Speaker 4: that's correct.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Now, Yeah, this is sort of pre the error of
- 52:38Speaker 3: the right to disconnect. You're aware of this when oh,
- 52:42Speaker 3: I hundred, if it's been passing into law or anything
- 52:44Speaker 3: like that, but you know people are talking about, oh,
- 52:46Speaker 3: you need to have the right to when you're working
- 52:48Speaker 3: hours are over, you can switch off your phone, or
- 52:50Speaker 3: you can switch off your notifications like it's after hours. Man,
- 52:54Speaker 3: come on paying me overtime, Yeah, exactly, overtime rates of
- 52:59Speaker 3: those things wonderful. Now I have another question as well,
- 53:02Speaker 3: and I don't think it's around this era, but as
- 53:06Speaker 3: the cab is pulling away leaving this why is all
- 53:09Speaker 3: this croquet ship on the Simpsons? What's going on? Yeah?
- 53:14Speaker 4: Why can we find a garden tool or some kind?
- 53:16Speaker 4: Why does it be a croquet?
- 53:17Speaker 3: Shit?
- 53:17Speaker 4: I feel like there must be a deleted scene somewhere.
- 53:19Speaker 4: I think so I had to have been. I was curious, Yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 4: because why is it croquets? Absolutely no sense. But she
- 53:25Speaker 4: throws the croquet, mallet, mallets whatever hits Flanders and you think,
- 53:29Speaker 4: oh my god, she might have killed him. He's balling over.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Then we come back with commercial on Homer and Karl
- 53:33Speaker 4: are on the private jet and was actually really good
- 53:36Speaker 4: at his job.
- 53:37Speaker 3: He is?
- 53:37Speaker 4: He talking about how you know the word on the streets,
- 53:39Speaker 4: the protons and now the new electrons, and Carl hasn't
- 53:41Speaker 4: got time for peeling and beans beans, beans squats me
- 53:45Speaker 4: into his mouth. Then Flanders is well better now thanks
- 53:48Speaker 4: to Christian prayer and doctor Sheldon Lowenstein. Is that somebody?
- 53:52Speaker 4: I thought it was just the name of a Yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 4: I don't think it's an actual doctor.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Well, boys, daddy's back on the beam thanks to Christian
- 53:58Speaker 2: prayer and doctor Sheldon.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Oh and Stone.
- 54:01Speaker 3: We thought you were going to die little uncle Killvin.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Would he have to raise us with his funny friend David.
- 54:06Speaker 2: No, I'd put rocks into your pockets and walk you
- 54:08Speaker 2: out to see before that happened.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Yea margin and avite them over for dinner. And that
- 54:13Speaker 4: says you're going to see the best dish washing team ever.
- 54:16Speaker 4: Then in Paris.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Rod washes Todd and then put some in the dishwasher. Anyway,
- 54:24Speaker 3: I don't squaky queen or no put the dish washer.
- 54:26Speaker 4: Yeah. But now in Paris and homerss admiring all the
- 54:29Speaker 4: various landmarks La crusty Burger. They arrive at fishing week
- 54:33Speaker 4: and like a rock star. Homer is like your security
- 54:36Speaker 4: and meet the French nuclear commissioner Sharma whatever. Anyway, I
- 54:41Speaker 4: like that. So Home is basically doing the gay that
- 54:43Speaker 4: we usually see Burns and Smiths, where Burns is like
- 54:45Speaker 4: tell me who this is? This is? I trust your
- 54:48Speaker 4: wife is still thank you for asking yes, now we
- 54:53Speaker 4: should touch on this just briefly. So this features genuine
- 54:58Speaker 4: parodies of the French president prime minister. I think it
- 55:02Speaker 4: was the Prime Minister psychos prime minister President either the
- 55:05Speaker 4: leader of the France Right. It's a parody of him,
- 55:09Speaker 4: but it also parodies his wife right, who apparently was
- 55:14Speaker 4: known for her various alliances, for her love life, her
- 55:18Speaker 4: extensive love life.
- 55:20Speaker 3: I think she was with Mick Jagger for a while.
- 55:22Speaker 4: She's been Danny rock Stars and whatnot, and they completely
- 55:25Speaker 4: like took the mickey out of them here, which I
- 55:28Speaker 4: think was kind of unfair. I feel like she was
- 55:31Speaker 4: I mean, it's not often though. When they went to
- 55:33Speaker 4: the UK, they got Tony Blair, yeah, and when they
- 55:36Speaker 4: I guess when they came to Australia that he's got
- 55:37Speaker 4: Andy and the dam so that it's kind of like
- 55:39Speaker 4: an Australian kind of thing. But I've read that, you know,
- 55:42Speaker 4: they weren't really impressed in France with how their leader
- 55:47Speaker 4: was was deceived, because I think it was he said,
- 55:49Speaker 4: you're getting cozy with Cozy with Psycosy, Cozy with Psycosy,
- 55:53Speaker 4: and the fact that his wife was cheating on him
- 55:55Speaker 4: with Carl and whatnot. It's just like, I know, just
- 55:58Speaker 4: if it felt kind of means well. Apparently, according to Wikipedia,
- 56:02Speaker 4: which as we know, always lies ha clips showing the
- 56:06Speaker 4: satirical appearances of French presidents Nicholas Sarkozzi and his wife
- 56:11Speaker 4: Calibruni in the episode became internet hits in France on
- 56:14Speaker 4: Daily Motion. Give me the hundreds of views on daily
- 56:17Speaker 4: Motion and and another cyc called YouTube. There are still
- 56:20Speaker 4: things on daily Motion occasionally look at it. See I'm
- 56:23Speaker 4: just trying. I'm looking at personal laugh. Oh god, this
- 56:27Speaker 4: goes on brages. In December two thousand and eight, Brunei
- 56:30Speaker 4: sued the makers of a bag featuring a new shot
- 56:33Speaker 4: taken during her youth. Jesus Closes on a Padon produced
- 56:37Speaker 4: ten thousands of the shopping bags emblazoned with the nude
- 56:39Speaker 4: photo taken in nineteen ninety three showing brune staring at
- 56:42Speaker 4: the camera with her crossed hands covering her crotch. No
- 56:44Speaker 4: link to that picture, and believe me, he's been looking.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Wow. If you want an interesting read by all means,
- 56:55Speaker 3: check out Calabrini's Wikipedia page. It's got twists and turns.
- 57:00Speaker 4: The interesting life. Indeed, Yes, but yeah, they parodied them
- 57:03Speaker 4: here and just parodied the fact that she was, you know,
- 57:07Speaker 4: in her former life.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Hey she had a life like we're all did.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly right. Yeah, probaly she's laughed it off, but
- 57:13Speaker 4: it's like, it's kind of mean to do it this way.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Little Yeah.
- 57:16Speaker 4: But so you go into France for the first time,
- 57:18Speaker 4: how did you get the actual voice?
- 57:19Speaker 3: I mean maybe you didn't want to maybe, yeah, I
- 57:21Speaker 3: guess well they Yeah, it's more sort of mocking the
- 57:25Speaker 3: French way of life or gently ribbing the French way
- 57:28Speaker 3: of life.
- 57:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you should have changed their names if you know this. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:31Speaker 4: because you're basically saying, this is these people. If it
- 57:35Speaker 4: just looked and sound like me, You're like, it's just
- 57:37Speaker 4: meant to be like them. Yeah, it wasn't worth it
- 57:39Speaker 4: just to have the gag Cozy with Cozy.
- 57:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 57:42Speaker 2: I don't think so, Monsieur Carson. What have you enjoyed
- 57:46Speaker 2: must about Paris?
- 57:47Speaker 4: Oh?
- 57:48Speaker 2: I really love the Loave? Everything about it is so
- 57:54Speaker 2: closed on Mondays.
- 57:55Speaker 3: You are clearly a man of the world. May I
- 57:58Speaker 3: have your card?
- 57:59Speaker 2: My assistant will give you an ad.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Can we meet for lunch?
- 58:02Speaker 2: My sister will set that up. I want to make love.
- 58:04Speaker 4: Now.
- 58:05Speaker 2: My assistant will do a sensual dance for your arousal.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Come on, come on, come on, sensual dance.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Jump jump.
- 58:13Speaker 4: They're walking in the rain through Paris. Carlos everything about
- 58:16Speaker 4: Paris except for their lame version of rock and roll,
- 58:18Speaker 4: as you were saying, But he wants to extend their
- 58:21Speaker 4: stay indefinitely, and Homer's what about March. I think that
- 58:23Speaker 4: was important for Homa to constantly be saying, I need
- 58:26Speaker 4: to get back to March. You know, he's not forgetting
- 58:28Speaker 4: about March. And then Carl's just not listening to it all.
- 58:30Speaker 4: He just wants to further their business and go to
- 58:32Speaker 4: Disneyland with this lady who turns it to be Karla.
- 58:35Speaker 4: Homer walks around, he sees March in various places. I
- 58:37Speaker 4: think he sees the baghette and it's Marge's hair and
- 58:40Speaker 4: the windmill and whatnot. Yes, yeah. Then meanwhile back home,
- 58:44Speaker 4: the kids are leaving for a tea party. Janey's in
- 58:46Speaker 4: a stink bomb party next door. No connection to Flanders
- 58:50Speaker 4: arrives about his kids because they've been granded for as
- 58:51Speaker 4: we were saying earlier, watching a Great Anatomy commercial and
- 58:53Speaker 4: not telling him about it, and then they start cooking
- 58:56Speaker 4: dinner together, march and Flanders and Marcha's we never do
- 59:00Speaker 4: it anymore, cook together that is. And then he's going
- 59:03Speaker 4: to wash the lettuce and he sprays the water all
- 59:05Speaker 4: over them. So they're doing the slow motion walking in,
- 59:07Speaker 4: moving into close to each other, and I'm like, I'm
- 59:09Speaker 4: not buying this at all, and the way they did
- 59:11Speaker 4: it didn't You're not buying anyth like this looks too
- 59:13Speaker 4: far fetched, right, And then we come up from commercial
- 59:16Speaker 4: and ding the oven goes off and dinner is ready.
- 59:18Speaker 4: Thank god, we've been saved, And I'm like, weren't they
- 59:19Speaker 4: just preparing dinner?
- 59:20Speaker 3: That's truely a good point.
- 59:21Speaker 4: It was washing the lettuce and the water splash on
- 59:23Speaker 4: them because he's washing the letters to prepare dinner. And
- 59:25Speaker 4: then now all of a sudden, this is ready, okay, Well,
- 59:27Speaker 4: were they preparing a salad to go with whatever's in
- 59:30Speaker 4: the oven? Maybe a tossed salad, you know? But they
- 59:34Speaker 4: he was on fire today this episode did something to
- 59:37Speaker 4: your car. Then calls Homer and he says, where are you?
- 59:41Speaker 4: And we've got the Eiffel Tower behind him. It turns
- 59:43Speaker 4: out the Homer has gone back to Springfield because he's
- 59:45Speaker 4: a good husband.
- 59:46Speaker 3: That's correct.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he's gone back to He's gone back for
- 59:48Speaker 4: his wife and Marge. And he said, I'm not scared
- 59:50Speaker 4: of you, Carl, casters were going to fire you. Don't
- 59:51Speaker 4: come back in. He's like, you know what, I don't
- 59:53Speaker 4: think you are because that woman you've been banging first lady.
- 59:57Speaker 4: And he's like, I'll just call the old president. What's
- 59:59Speaker 4: his name, nick so cozy? President President? I said President
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Sarkozy and he's like, you wouldn't dare calls him. He's like,
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: you're getting cozy with Sarcozy. And then his wife was
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: named Carla Calabrouni. Calburni is looking a bit sort of
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: anxious to Carl, like, look all right, no worries, You've
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: got me give March my best, and he's like, I
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: will after I give her mind. I was like, oh damn,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: this is very.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: Reading. The reading sort of the not necessarily the background
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: of this episode. But something they did say was like
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: the Simpsons h Q tends to get kind of like
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: we get a little antsy about, you know, showing intimacy.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: I think I said this earlier. Sorry, I were just
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: doing something a bit off kilter, yeah, or just depicting
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Homer in Marge's sex life. I mean, I don't think
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: they ever go as hard as they do in the
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: scene we're about to see it.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: This, this seemed very seductive.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: This seem down right sexy, because we.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: Have the episode where they're trying to spice up their
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: love life natural born Lovers. Is that one lovers natural
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: born kisses, kisses kisses where they end up Newton in
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: the football field and whatnot? That time I have sex
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: in various places. My favorite confidence, Oh it's a donkey.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: That felt more playful. This felt more like we are
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: we're getting it old.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But then we get a really fucking
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: weird moment. So he throws his phone in the bin
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: or throw something, and I'm assuming.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: A terrorist, that's what it seems like, you're a spy,
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: And he.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: Who we haven't seen through the entire episode, picks up
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: the phone and goes, oh, nuclear plans of Lenny, everything
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: I need for my plan and that's it.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: What's all that about?
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: What that feels like a mid episode plot point? He goes, no, yeah,
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: would it have killed.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: You people to have that guy just sort of lurking
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: in the background throughout France. Yeah, yeah, it's fishing week.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: Of course people are going to be interested energy. You're
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: gonna have industrial espanage. Have that guy just sort of
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: sneak out his head behind the from behind a building
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: or something. Every one you know, who's that guy going on?
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Just happened to be at the lay.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Some bread crumbs?
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Yeah none at the end.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Ah, you know, I thought I was going to have
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: to do more than this, but that's not the accent
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: that goes any chance to break it out.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: The things said, Now we got about the status quo.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: So is Carl now fired? Is Carl going to be
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: the supervisor in the next episode? What's to go here?
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: They didn't wrap up.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: I guess we're gonna have to watch the next episode
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: of The Simpsons to find out.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: I think if I know anything about Matt Sale and
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: it's just just enjoy this episode, figure anything out.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Goes ain't real?
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it just has like a big change, you know,
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: boss at the power plane or what's the go I
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: have no idea, who knows who cares? Anyway, he gets
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: home before that though, it's time for dessert, strawberries and
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: whipped cream.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Oh, that's right. Yeah, we haven't and we've still got
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: we still got.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: This stuff to resolve. So margin flat, so Flat says
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: a good meal. They start eating strawberries and cream or
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: sexy like and he gets cream and he's well trimmed, perfectly,
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: perfully trimmed mustache, and Marge is about to kiss him again,
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: and I'm like, and Flare is gonna kiss her. I'm like,
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: what's going on here?
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: And now, by the way, yeah, to go with my
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: man's sigment for it. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: But there is one scene where Marge is holding a
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: strawberry dip with cream to her lips. Shape of that strawberry,
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: it looks like I'm going to say the tip of
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: something to me at.
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: Least, okay, unless I'm also in the green bits, just
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: the green bits of strawberries.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Are you. I would hope not.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: I never have, no, No, I've always just dipped in
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: and it's not the core correct anyway. But they were
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: eating that, they were enjoying them. And then she sees
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: the reflection of the photo of Homer in Flanner's glasses
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: as she goes there's only one person should getting strawberries
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: with if Flantus say is something like yeah, I've always
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: I've always thought that, and I'm like you were about
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: to kiss her?
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: Yea.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: It just it just felt like such a weird revelation
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: to happen out of absolutely nowhere for Flanders. Yeah, Planners hadn't.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: I hadn't teas that Flanners finds much attractive in any way.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Why would he all of a sudden have the hots
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: for March.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Here's the thing, Yeah, I mean if this had been
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: someone else, say, Marge was buying ingredients for dinner for
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: herself at the supermarket and has like a meat cute
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: in the produce section with some with like a Jacques
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: type of guy, and like, oh, well let's go and
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: have dinner or something like that goes well, you know,
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: it's tough to be like that would make more sense.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Yeah, someone like that. But then because he's French as well,
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: true French, a French name, it's a very French name.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure it's a little like breakfast but you
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: get the best of French bowling strut and continue look
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: it up.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: But that could give the indications like, oh, infidelity could
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: actually happen here, which could be interesting.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: But because if he is having to sweep back into
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: her life when home is gone to gone to France, yeah,
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: I would as a viewer buy and go. Is something
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: going to happen?
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Is this going to be a but it could be interesting,
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: but it all so he could create a level of
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: discomfort for the viewer, Whereas because.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: No one wants to see margin Hammer cheating on each other.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: No, absolutely not. And you, as I said at the
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: start of it, was you know it's not going to happen.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: These two love each other too much. But you know,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: with Flanders saying, it's also like, look, it's not gonna happen.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: But I feel kind of reassured because I know it's
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: not gonna happen.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: This show is brought to you by the four Fingered

- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Slash four figure Discout but Homer gets home because Flanners
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: is leaving. They cuddle on the doorstep Flanders and Marge,
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: and Homer says, my wife and my worst friend. Could
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: it be Nah? Then he just basically says, come Marg
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: got someone finished business, says Hied to Flanders. Flanners leaves,
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: I guess, and they go upstairs, and even not the
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: animation of the house rocking, I'm like, oh yeah, it's
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: it's not just like it's like, it's not just snuggling.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: This is fucking sound the dogs even here they run
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: into the doghouse, the doghouse lits rocking, but they're just
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: kissing the birds of the sh a of a love heart.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: And then we get Homer and Marge in bed as
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: time of Homers turned to roll the dioce. He rolls,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: it says classic and it says love wife, and that's
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: the end. I thought, yeah, that's a really nice ending,
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: other than even says that, you know, when he kissed
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: the dice for me, like the way they drew much, I'm.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Like, this looks so sexy.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: Oh god, yeah, this is a very horny episode, very
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: horny sexy episode. But you know, sometimes you need a
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: bit of horniness in your life right beare sometimes not
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: too much? Yeah, not too much. But I thought, you know,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: the story had its holes and whatnot. There's moments that
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: I didn't. I didn't like the flanners. I didn't like
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: the flanners in Marge's angle, but I did like the
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: relatability of the Sometimes you just don't have the sex drive.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: Oh sure, and that is okay as well, Yes, yeah,
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: because I'm glad. I feel like that maybe they should
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: have probably made that more aware that it's okay to
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: not want to have sex.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: They did that. I certainly the first night at least,
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: you know where he's like, oh I'm exhausted and yeah,
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: and you know she takes his type and gives them
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: because on the forad and it's like tomorrow night and all.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: That kinds up and it just could have even it
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: was just like ten seconds have Marge at the end
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: say I'm sorry I was so hard on your homer
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: for not I know how hard you've been working.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: I think the hardcore fucking at the end is probably
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: you know, that's that's the explanation and the resolution of that,
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: because but.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: You could washes though and go, oh, well, that's all
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: I should have been doing in the first place, man mate,
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: and fuck your wife.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Good point.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: Good point anyway, Yeah, wow that if it was not
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: not safe for work this episode?
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: What do we learn bomb?
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: What did you learn from the episode with the day?
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: What we do? We haven't done what I've learned from
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: this episode quite some time. Um, don't take racy photos
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: of someone when they're under the influence and then put
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: it in the calendar, and then put it in a calendar. Yeah,
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: first of all, don't do it. Secondly, if you are
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: going to do it, keep that ship to yourself. You're
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: a school principal. Don't hold up a calendar of a
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: child's mother and talk about how hot she is. All
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: good points. We've learned a lot from this episode.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: And don't buy these dice apparently this do you want
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: to whisper into the enter the ass? We if you?
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: If you? If you? Aluis had these dice and you
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: rolled it and they said whisper into the ass? What
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: are we doing in that situation?
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Are we are?
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: We like at this point, like, but Niicola, are we
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: going let's just do it the dice as we have to?
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right. I am seeking a refund and giving
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: it a one star review on Amazon dot com or
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: sexy land dot com, where I probably bought these dice.
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: I'm going to get these dice and I'll update you
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: what happens.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: Please, just as long as not whispering into my ass
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: from this day forward, your name will be all right.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: It is time for the Guy Davis New Name Championship.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: The current leaderboard stands at this in third position, we
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: have Nathan Briggs and Justin Williams, both on three points.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: In second position, we have Phil Hawkins on six points,
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: and in first position it's Clever Carle Carl Muldoon on
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: seven points taken away.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: Okay, I just want to say some really great names
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: new names for this particular episode, so much so so
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: much that I ran a past Nando. I was like,
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: I think we should have like a wild card category
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: because I just want to give honorable mentions to four
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: of these other names. Okay, but it's up to you.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: We can do it.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: It's always up to me.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: It is. Indeed, you're the one steering this particular ship here,
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: But I want to give honorable mentions to the following
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: new names. If you've actually found the names that go
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: with Okay, then honorable mentions to work hard, play nada.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: That is Nathan Briggs, Briggs eat well done, I really
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: dug this liberty egalitate new detay that is.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: Nathan Briggs killing it.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Pawn on the fourth of July, Porn on the fourth
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: of July is Mike Salter salty Live in Libido Loca,
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: Phil Hawkins. Okay, then cool.
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: You gonna say it like Ricky Martin though.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: Say it again live in Libido Loca.
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: It was a sex symbol he was. Indeed, I never
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: liked he saw Maria. I love this cup of life
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: and live in the videoca. Maria's too, Yeah, you do
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: you want a Mondagreen is misshard Absolutely no idea.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: It's a misheard lyric. Okay. So it's like I always
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: thought Jimmy Henis was saying, excuse me while I kissed
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: this guy.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: You know it was excuse me while kiss The first
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: thought saying kiss your cock at night? Well you can't,
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: thought she kissing his night because obviously has a good
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: cock if you can kiss.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: It what not?
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: In the Riddy Martin song Live in Leavita Loca, I
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: always thought her lips were like deviled eggs, which part
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: of the line lips are devil.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: Red lips are devil lips like deviled eggs.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, not kiss them.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: The scene devil That's yeah.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: Zoidberg would probably all over it because he enjoys the
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: devil leg as we just discussed in our most recent
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: Tales of Future arm episode, which covered Roswell.
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: That ends one one of my favorite episodes, available exclusively
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: on our Patreon channel right now.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: Do you need a better reason to stay or become
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: a patron?
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: Almost three full seasons of Tales of the Future availble
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: exclusively for our five dollars plus supporters on the gravy train.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: Okay, but speaking of three one two, three, top two
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: three okay, one point goes through Carls Junior.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: That's good.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: That's good.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: It's clever Kyle.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Clever Carl.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: I've got another points. Put him now on eight points.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: Well done, clever, Kile.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: I enjoyed this very much. This is two points. May
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: contains nudity, yeah.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: Okay, because obviously March got it out in May. That
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: would be Mike Salter. Well done. That is Mike's first
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: points for the season.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: We've got a double dose of soul because he got
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: a little wild card with the honorable mention, and now
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: it gets two points, well does yeah, but three points
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: go to Miss March.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Miss March. I like it because I think it's got
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: a double meaning. What are the double meanings? That's meaning
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: number one? What's meaning number two?
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: Well you've got of course, you got your Playboy centerfold
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: and they're invariably miss somebody usually are you're talking about,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: you know, whenever you're sort of talking about a play
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: with you, you sort of say it's Miss March. It
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: could be Miss September or Miss April. But yeah, I
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: think there was actually a movie called Miss March, like
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: a dumb sort of teen comedy. I think anytime I've
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: heard so, like in popular culture people refer to Playboy centervirs.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: I bet you were a Miss March. But the other
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: thing is Homer missus March.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: He does indeed, yes, he misses her when he's over
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: in France, and she misses him as well.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: Who gave us that title?
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: That would be it's official. Philip J. Hawks is back
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: on top.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Is reclaimed. The J is indeed doctor J.
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: He's got from six to nine points. Philip J. Hawkins
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: in first position. On nine points, I mean all.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: Due respect to Clever Carle and everyone else who's given
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: us great names. And in the running there's only one
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: point behind Clever Carle's on eight. Yeah, okay, but yeah,
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Philip J. Hawkins indeed Weld, I'm Philip J. You've done it?
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: And Miss March is indeed a movie from two thousand
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: and nine. Eugene Bell wakes up after four years of
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: being in a coma and finds only his best friend
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: Tucker waiting for him, while his high school sweetheart is
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: now a model for Playboy magazine.
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: Fun fact may not contain actual fun I believe that
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: the actor playing Eugene Bell is. His name is Zach Creigor.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: It is Zach Creigor has gone on direct Barbarian and
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: this year's horror hit Weapons.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: Did he really?
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: He's done to Jordan Peel and reinvent himself as like
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: the new face of horror?
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: Well done. This movie also starts Hugh Havena, He's actually
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: in it? Raquel ALESSI is she the girlfriend that would
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: that would scan Molly Stanton? Don't know who that is,
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: but see her as being a vable Miss March maybe anyway.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: This has been our review of The Devil Wes Nada
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: we onto all those guys for the new names. What
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: on Philip J. Hawkins.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: Well done, Philip J. But yeah, well done everyone who
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: gave us new names.
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: But it's nice that he's not I want to say
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: the punt. Look who's Hawkins?
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: Look Look who's Phlip Jay Hawkins? Now he is indeed
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: all right.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: So the next episode from season twenty one, we shall
