- 0:11Speaker 1: Send your walk off homer Coltonkwzer joining us right now
- 0:14Speaker 1: on foul Territory. Coulton, Great to have you on. Man,
- 0:16Speaker 1: what a little a few days you just had. What
- 0:19Speaker 1: was that like?
- 0:20Speaker 2: And did you ever dream of that when you were
- 0:22Speaker 2: a kid? Oh? Back to back games? Walk off Homer?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Well, I appreciate you having me on, And no, I
- 0:31Speaker 3: really didn't honestly. I was just you know, going through
- 0:34Speaker 3: twenty four and twenty five, I knew I didn't have
- 0:36Speaker 3: a walk off hit, and then it feels like they
- 0:39Speaker 3: stacked up right there for the past couple of days.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah, both homers too crazy.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So I mean take take us through it, you know,
- 0:48Speaker 1: like in terms of what you're going through when you're
- 0:51Speaker 1: in that ab what was that like for you?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean both situations a single order done the
- 1:00Speaker 3: and there's probably something to just simplifying the approach and
- 1:03Speaker 3: and not trying to do too much. And I was
- 1:06Speaker 3: really just trying to get a pitch over the heart
- 1:08Speaker 3: of the plate and put a good swing on it,
- 1:10Speaker 3: and I was able to do so and the result
- 1:14Speaker 3: ended up working out in our favor.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Did you end up hearing the Tigers broadcast? I mean,
- 1:20Speaker 4: I don't know how much you go back and watch
- 1:22Speaker 4: your own like stick or if you watch like Instagram
- 1:25Speaker 4: or anything. Did you end up hearing their commentary before
- 1:28Speaker 4: your home run?
- 1:30Speaker 3: I may have saw it someone someone sent a text
- 1:34Speaker 3: to me of of that broadcast, and uh, it made
- 1:38Speaker 3: me laugh a little bit. But uh, you know, those
- 1:41Speaker 3: guys are just doing their jobs. They're reading there, they're
- 1:44Speaker 3: reading the reports and what they said it wasn't wasn't
- 1:49Speaker 3: wasn't a lie at the time. So but I feel
- 1:53Speaker 3: like I have a pretty good amount of power.
- 1:56Speaker 4: I would I would say normally, yes, I mean if
- 1:58Speaker 4: they were just reading your stats from this season or like,
- 2:02Speaker 4: but I get it, they're doing their job. But I
- 2:07Speaker 4: when I heard it, When I heard it the first time,
- 2:09Speaker 4: it made me laugh because I always always tell people
- 2:11Speaker 4: when they would ask, like, that's honestly, what's going through
- 2:14Speaker 4: my head when I'm not going well? Is that in
- 2:17Speaker 4: your head? Or do you go up in those situations
- 2:20Speaker 4: and you go this is it? Like I got this
- 2:24Speaker 4: because as a player, you're sitting there and you go, man,
- 2:26Speaker 4: I'm struggling or I'm not doing what I think I
- 2:28Speaker 4: should do, the team's not winning as much, or do
- 2:31Speaker 4: you go up in that situation and you are fully
- 2:33Speaker 4: convinced I'm getting the job done, because a lot of
- 2:36Speaker 4: fans have never been in that situation.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think that kind of what you said.
- 2:42Speaker 3: It's all about that confidence that you bring into the
- 2:45Speaker 3: batter's box, and when you're not going well, it's one
- 2:47Speaker 3: of those things that can be hard to find, so
- 2:50Speaker 3: you almost have to trick yourself mentally. And you know,
- 2:55Speaker 3: it feels like the past couple of weeks, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 3: the abats have been a lot better, and I feel
- 2:59Speaker 3: like it was just a matter of time before some
- 3:01Speaker 3: things really starting to click. And yeah, I mean, I
- 3:05Speaker 3: think the big thing is just just not trying to
- 3:08Speaker 3: do too much, like I mentioned, and you know, especially
- 3:12Speaker 3: with two strikes, just trying to put the bat on
- 3:15Speaker 3: the ball and make something happen. And like I said,
- 3:19Speaker 3: there's there's something to just making it simple for yourself mentally.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Cold in the first the first walk off one off Kenley,
- 3:25Speaker 5: the one against the Tigers, did he really throw these sinkers?
- 3:28Speaker 5: Because I always remember Kenley just being cutters and curveballs.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I know he's messed with a sinker. Was that really
- 3:33Speaker 5: a sinker? It was just a cutter that didn't cut.
- 3:36Speaker 3: So first two pitches were cutters for sure. I mean,
- 3:41Speaker 3: he's got a unicorn unicorn pitch always has, and he's
- 3:46Speaker 3: really able to just bear that down in on you.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And I think it was a sinker from what I've
- 3:53Speaker 3: told but just the way he throws that that sinker,
- 3:56Speaker 3: it's got a little bit of arm side, but it
- 3:58Speaker 3: feels like it's got a little bit more so on
- 4:00Speaker 3: what the what the cutter does. But I hadn't really
- 4:05Speaker 3: taken a swing like that in a while, or I
- 4:07Speaker 3: kind of just cleared out the hips because out of
- 4:10Speaker 3: the hand it looked like, you know, I'm anticipating it
- 4:12Speaker 3: to move in on me, and it ended up running
- 4:15Speaker 3: back over a little bit and worked out all right.
- 4:19Speaker 4: So we talk about all the time, and I know
- 4:21Speaker 4: you're not a pitcher, but we talked about closers all
- 4:23Speaker 4: the time, and how some teams have a designated closer.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Is it different in the ninth inning facing a dude
- 4:30Speaker 4: that is the designated closer. I'm not saying to compare
- 4:33Speaker 4: Kenley Janssen because of the you know, his near Hall
- 4:35Speaker 4: of fame resume to anybody else that's thrown in the
- 4:39Speaker 4: ninth but are those at bats different because some teams argue, well,
- 4:43Speaker 4: you don't need a closer, you just need somebody that
- 4:45Speaker 4: gets three outs.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean Kenley, Like you said, I mean, he's
- 4:51Speaker 3: a Hall of Famer in my book, and you know,
- 4:55Speaker 3: he's been doing it for so long. It's it's one
- 4:57Speaker 3: of those things where getting three outs for him, he's
- 5:02Speaker 3: done it for so long, and you know, whenever you're
- 5:05Speaker 3: going in they're facing a guy who's established like that,
- 5:09Speaker 3: it adds a different, little different layer to it. And
- 5:12Speaker 3: versus whenever you're you know, facing someone who maybe not
- 5:16Speaker 3: typically closes, but they're able to get three outs. Like
- 5:20Speaker 3: you said, baseball is one of those funny games where
- 5:24Speaker 3: certain situations dictate certain emotions. And I think that's what
- 5:30Speaker 3: separates those those established closers to be so elite.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Godfather, I'm a last minute guy.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Sometimes you're a last minute guy where you all of
- 5:41Speaker 1: a sudden see a night open up and you want
- 5:43Speaker 1: to go grab some tickets and you hadn't gotten them already,
- 5:46Speaker 1: so you're going to see geek and you're gonna go
- 5:49Speaker 1: look for a green dot and see where the good
- 5:51Speaker 1: seats are and the good value is and have a
- 5:53Speaker 1: little night with the fam.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Right without a doubt, and I'm looking for some of
- 5:57Speaker 6: the best seats. I'm looking for that green dot when
- 5:59Speaker 6: I get that. It's a simple plug it in, use
- 6:01Speaker 6: your hands, go right on your screen, your phone, whatever
- 6:05Speaker 6: platform you can get it on. And it's so simple.
- 6:08Speaker 6: They make it so easy for you to do. Even
- 6:11Speaker 6: my son can do it. If I asked him, Hey, Blikester,
- 6:14Speaker 6: let's go. Man, get on there for us. Find us
- 6:16Speaker 6: a couple of seats so we can watch even that
- 6:18Speaker 6: Subway series. That would be fantastic. Seat Geek has it all.
- 6:21Speaker 4: There for you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and the code for you. You should know it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It's Territory ten. It just gets you ten percent off
- 6:27Speaker 1: your next set of tickets. That's EKE ten percent off
- 6:29Speaker 1: any tickets with promo code Territory one zero. Make sure
- 6:32Speaker 1: you click the link in the description, download the app.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Then the code is automatically added to your account so
- 6:36Speaker 1: you can use it later.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Cold.
- 6:38Speaker 4: How about that game yesterday.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I mean, your home run obviously was the icing on
- 6:41Speaker 5: the cake, but that game yesterday was kind of insane.
- 6:44Speaker 5: They scored you guys, score they score two, you score two.
- 6:47Speaker 5: You have the play at the play where the catcher
- 6:49Speaker 5: gets knocked out and Gunner just thinks he can run
- 6:51Speaker 5: until you know they stop, and then you come home
- 6:54Speaker 5: and hit the home run. Was that one of the
- 6:55Speaker 5: crazier games you've ever been a part of, cause that
- 6:57Speaker 5: was I was watching that from home and I'm like,
- 7:00Speaker 5: I couldn't take my eyes off it because I couldn't
- 7:02Speaker 5: think what was going to happen next.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it was. I mentioned it post game.
- 7:08Speaker 3: It's probably one of my favorite games I've been a
- 7:10Speaker 3: part of, just because it was a full, just team win,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and like you said it, it was like we were
- 7:17Speaker 3: in the trenches with them. Pete kept saying that, and
- 7:21Speaker 3: you know, they scored. You know, we always felt like
- 7:23Speaker 3: we had the belief that we were going to score
- 7:24Speaker 3: as well, and it felt like we were one hit
- 7:27Speaker 3: away for about three four innings there. And it's not
- 7:32Speaker 3: too often you end up getting four at bats off
- 7:34Speaker 3: the bench, and we had two guys end up getting that,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and so it was just one of those things where,
- 7:40Speaker 3: you know, you kind of mentioned it, the closer kind
- 7:43Speaker 3: of goes out the window and just really proud of
- 7:46Speaker 3: our guys the way they handle it in the bullpen
- 7:48Speaker 3: and we're able to just scrap away and ended up
- 7:52Speaker 3: with a win. There.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Do you guys do a postgame celebration of any kind?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Yeah, we give out a hitter of the game, picture game,
- 8:00Speaker 3: a little bit of celebration.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Okay, Is there is there anybody that for fans who
- 8:05Speaker 4: don't know teams win and they actually like celebrate and say, hey,
- 8:08Speaker 4: good job, this person did a good job. It's not
- 8:10Speaker 4: just like going and you get your water bottle and
- 8:13Speaker 4: you get a shower. So in that postgame celebration, who
- 8:18Speaker 4: is usually the first one to line up to like
- 8:20Speaker 4: make sure people who made mistakes like base running mistakes
- 8:23Speaker 4: or something in a win to like give them a
- 8:27Speaker 4: hard time? Is there somebody that does that? Or you
- 8:28Speaker 4: guys only go positive.
- 8:31Speaker 3: We typically keep it positive, but you know, if there's
- 8:37Speaker 3: there's an outlier situation, you know someone will give you
- 8:39Speaker 3: a little bit of a little bit of a hard time.
- 8:41Speaker 3: But it's mainly maybe after the celebration, usually highlighting just
- 8:45Speaker 3: the pitcher and hitter of the game, as well as
- 8:47Speaker 3: just how well the you know, the team came together.
- 8:51Speaker 3: And that's typically it. But we have I think last
- 8:56Speaker 3: year we had a bonehead play of the Week that
- 8:59Speaker 3: we'd go over and in our hitters meetings and as
- 9:02Speaker 3: well as this year, we have some some things that happened,
- 9:07Speaker 3: we'll throw them in the hitters meeting as well, or
- 9:09Speaker 3: just just videos of the plays. So just usually just
- 9:11Speaker 3: giving someone all the hard time.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Love it.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Hey, tell me about some teammates. So let's start with Pete.
- 9:18Speaker 1: How's polar Bear being?
- 9:19Speaker 2: You know, what's he like? What's he bring to the clubhouse? Mix?
- 9:23Speaker 1: And now he's bopping Homer, so he's probably smiling ever
- 9:26Speaker 1: since he saw aj what was that three weeks ago?
- 9:29Speaker 2: And you give him a hug. It's been much better
- 9:31Speaker 2: since I've been keeping track of his post.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah that was I think that was when the Ashes
- 9:36Speaker 3: were in town.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Giants Giants, Giants, Giants, Giants, Giants.
- 9:40Speaker 3: That's right. Pete's been great, you know, having having a
- 9:46Speaker 3: presence like that in the clubhouse. Just just like I
- 9:48Speaker 3: said yesterday, it was one of those things, you know,
- 9:50Speaker 3: between innings, it was just like he kept saying, you know,
- 9:52Speaker 3: we're in the trenches with them, like just keep battling,
- 9:55Speaker 3: and you know, as the game kept going on, you know,
- 9:59Speaker 3: both teams are retired. He's just full of energy and
- 10:02Speaker 3: you know, leadership, and you see him run around the
- 10:04Speaker 3: bases as well, end up scoring a time run as well.
- 10:07Speaker 3: And yeah, he brings a lot of perspective. He's been
- 10:11Speaker 3: playing for a while and and playing at such a
- 10:14Speaker 3: high level that you know, he brings certain perspective when
- 10:18Speaker 3: it comes to facing certain guys, certain situations, and as
- 10:22Speaker 3: well as just like just gameplay talk as well, just
- 10:25Speaker 3: even when you're out on defense, just always communicating. And yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 3: he's been great.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He definitely had a voice and was a big presence
- 10:33Speaker 1: in New York. Mets fans miss him dearly. Do you
- 10:35Speaker 1: feel like he's able to truly blossom into his leadership
- 10:38Speaker 1: role with your club? Right, he's been around the block.
- 10:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of young guys on your side. With
- 10:45Speaker 1: the Mets. There were some, you know, other veterans and
- 10:47Speaker 1: guys kind of trying to take leadership roles where he
- 10:50Speaker 1: could go there and just be like, hey, let me
- 10:52Speaker 1: tell you how this is all done.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 10:55Speaker 3: I don't know how it was in their clubhouse over there.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Just knowing Pete, I could I could see Pete being
- 11:01Speaker 3: kind of the same guy no matter what clubhouse he's in.
- 11:05Speaker 3: But yeah, he's very vocal in our clubhouse and likes
- 11:09Speaker 3: to say what he's thinking and you know it. And
- 11:13Speaker 3: I feel like it's only beneficial for us guys that
- 11:16Speaker 3: you know, haven't been around as long, and you know,
- 11:19Speaker 3: having a guy like Bassett as well in the clubhouse
- 11:20Speaker 3: has been great. Just someone who's who's been been around
- 11:24Speaker 3: for a while and who's who's seeing kind of the
- 11:27Speaker 3: landscape of the league, especially like this early in the year,
- 11:30Speaker 3: where you never know what can happen no matter how
- 11:33Speaker 3: good or bad you're playing. So just keeping that perspective,
- 11:36Speaker 3: you know, knowing that it's a long year, and just
- 11:38Speaker 3: doing things right. It's good to have those reminders, all right.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I'm not talking about like a body contest here, but
- 11:44Speaker 4: who's stronger Pete Alonso or Tyler O'Neil.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I'd have to say O'Neil, But I think Pete, well, well.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I don't know, strongest man competition, Like we're we're carrying
- 11:57Speaker 4: to Atlas Stones, We're throwing a beer keg over over
- 12:00Speaker 4: the foul pole something.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I don't know. That's a tough one because I think
- 12:06Speaker 3: Pete is really strong and obviously when you look at O'Neill,
- 12:10Speaker 3: he's so he just is jacked, but I think it
- 12:16Speaker 3: the type of exercise is what it's gonna matter or
- 12:19Speaker 3: boil down to, because that's my final answer.
- 12:23Speaker 4: As boring as that is, that is a that is
- 12:25Speaker 4: a boring I mean, you tell me. I mean, we
- 12:28Speaker 4: have the enhanced games, now you can create your own exercise.
- 12:32Speaker 4: What's that?
- 12:33Speaker 6: So?
- 12:33Speaker 3: What?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Okay? So if the Atlas Stone, they're going to carry
- 12:36Speaker 4: the Atlas Stone and they're also going to throw a
- 12:38Speaker 4: beer keg. Who who wins strongest man competition for the Orioles?
- 12:45Speaker 3: So I'm thinking Atlas Stone has a lot to do
- 12:49Speaker 3: with you know, obviously lower body strength, but also grip
- 12:52Speaker 3: strength and forearm strength and the way I've seen O'Neil
- 12:58Speaker 3: have some check swings where the barrel just doesn't go anywhere.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to go with O'Neill in that one.
- 13:03Speaker 3: But I mean throwing a beer keg. I mean, I
- 13:06Speaker 3: gotta go with Pete. You know, he went to the
- 13:09Speaker 3: he's the sec school guy, you know, Florida, and I
- 13:11Speaker 3: feel like he could throw a beer keg.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Nice.
- 13:17Speaker 4: I like it drink.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I don't know, you know, I don't know. I don't know.
- 13:25Speaker 4: I've never played with him.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I do.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I haven't been invited.
- 13:27Speaker 7: If so, Oh wow, they do have the what's it
- 13:34Speaker 7: called that? You guys don't do that anymore. You guys
- 13:36Speaker 7: don't do the former house water the hydration thing right anymore.
- 13:40Speaker 3: We don't. We don't. And honestly it might be for
- 13:44Speaker 3: the best because that thing had to be full of mold.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I mean just by the end of the year, I
- 13:51Speaker 3: don't know if he was getting dried out and we
- 13:53Speaker 3: pack it up, put it in a carry on suitcase
- 13:54Speaker 3: and bringing on the road. So I mean, I feel
- 13:58Speaker 3: like by the end of the year last year it
- 14:00Speaker 3: was probably you know, seen these better days.
- 14:04Speaker 4: What's the skit now? Though? What's the skit?
- 14:07Speaker 3: We don't have anything right now? Yeah, we don't have
- 14:11Speaker 3: a homer prop right now?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Do you need one to talk like that? Is that
- 14:15Speaker 4: something that's talked about because that coach high school baseball
- 14:18Speaker 4: and they talk about like, oh, this is going to
- 14:20Speaker 4: be our selly here and you know, they hit like
- 14:23Speaker 4: one homer a year as a high school team, and
- 14:25Speaker 4: they're like, oh, this is gonna be our home run selly.
- 14:27Speaker 4: So do you guys talk about it? And nothing's landed?
- 14:32Speaker 3: You know, it's it's been brought up, and I think
- 14:35Speaker 3: there's pro Homer props, but then there's also people that
- 14:37Speaker 3: are are like no promo hop or Homer props. So
- 14:43Speaker 3: I think we just kind of just decided we're not
- 14:46Speaker 3: going with one this year. But I wouldn't be surprised if,
- 14:49Speaker 3: you know, someone has a really good idea and it
- 14:51Speaker 3: ends up coming to fruition. So we'll see. I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 3: you know, the classic just handshakes down down the dugout
- 14:59Speaker 3: is great, but I feel like it's one of those
- 15:02Speaker 3: things if you don't have something that's really good, then
- 15:05Speaker 3: it's like you don't want to do it at all
- 15:06Speaker 3: then because then you're like, ah, that's kind of silly.
- 15:10Speaker 1: The Giants outfield has something new every day now after
- 15:14Speaker 1: the game. There's some virality there. Yep, exactly. Take a
- 15:20Speaker 1: swig of water, right, there's a lot there. All right, Well,
- 15:27Speaker 1: good stuff called and it was awesome.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Thank thank your pr staff for me. Please, by the way,
- 15:31Speaker 5: tell them they're still there's still number two. They'll get
- 15:34Speaker 5: it still number two, number one.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Number two.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Top is pretty good.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Perfect. I knew that. I knew they were sitting in
- 15:46Speaker 4: there with you, so I knew.
- 15:47Speaker 1: That this was great. Man, appreciate the time, great to
- 15:52Speaker 1: catch up with you. Congrats on a nice few days.
- 15:55Speaker 1: And keep trucking man. Let's see this team take off.

- 17:01Speaker 1: Get started today at bluehoo dot com and go for
- 17:04Speaker 1: gold Terrek Schouble and really the fall of the Tigers
- 17:06Speaker 1: right now. If they decide to trade Schoogle, he said,
- 17:09Speaker 1: they could get more prospect return if they signal willingness
- 17:11Speaker 1: to absorb most or all of his salary for the
- 17:13Speaker 1: last two months about eleven mil, which would make sense.
- 17:15Speaker 1: They've already budgeted to pay a salary this year. If
- 17:17Speaker 1: they do that, more teams could be involved in the bidding.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Owners have a tough time paying money of a dude
- 17:25Speaker 1: who's a top three pitcher in baseball.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Like, if I'm there and I get, this is the
- 17:30Speaker 1: part I actually get. If I'm the owner of the Tigers,
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm like, why do I have to eat money on
- 17:35Speaker 1: a deal?
- 17:35Speaker 2: Isn't that for guys that suck?
- 17:39Speaker 4: Do you have better returns?
- 17:40Speaker 3: Usually?
- 17:40Speaker 5: If I don't know, I just don't. I still don't
- 17:43Speaker 5: see him trading Terrek school. I just don't.
- 17:45Speaker 2: What's the number that they have to be out of it?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Like wildcard wise?
- 17:48Speaker 3: I just said that all these teams are so close.
- 17:50Speaker 1: No, they are, although the Tigers are a little bit
- 17:53Speaker 1: further back wherever.
- 17:54Speaker 5: They were at a fifteen game lead last year and
- 17:56Speaker 5: lost it. So do you think if they're it's like
- 18:00Speaker 5: two months to go?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Trust me, I did the show with you every day.
- 18:05Speaker 1: If they're ten games back of a wild card by
- 18:07Speaker 1: the trade deadline, you don't think they'll trade him.
- 18:09Speaker 2: They're five backs right now.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah, they're that far back.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Yet I just don't think they are because nobody's nobody's
- 18:14Speaker 5: pulling away in the AL.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Five, not enough, So it would have to be like
- 18:17Speaker 2: I mean, the second to.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Last week, they're gonna get sacked.
- 18:21Speaker 5: They're gonna get scooball the pitch, and then there's hope
- 18:23Speaker 5: they'll change everything.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Right Hey, former White Sox manager Pedro Griffol remember him.
- 18:31Speaker 1: He is the new head coach at Florida International University
- 18:35Speaker 1: in Miami. If I use head baseball coach, going from
- 18:39Speaker 1: major league manager to the college ranks.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Good luck.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I don't know how the recruiting is going to go
- 18:48Speaker 5: with all that, but good luck, because I mean, everyone
- 18:50Speaker 5: at the White Sox City wasn't the most personable guy
- 18:52Speaker 5: in the world. Yep, So good luck out on the
- 18:56Speaker 5: recruiting trail, Pedro. I hope you do well. Just dominatebody.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Try to talk anyone at FIU if you're an alumni
- 19:01Speaker 5: that used to know, because he will not like that.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Wait, alumni, it took me a moment too, right, no
- 19:13Speaker 1: alumni involved.
- 19:14Speaker 4: If you're an alumni.
- 19:15Speaker 5: If if I you and you go back and there's
- 19:17Speaker 5: like someone that works there still from when you play,
- 19:20Speaker 5: do not try and talk to him because he will
- 19:22Speaker 5: get angry.
- 19:24Speaker 4: He is not.
- 19:25Speaker 5: He does not like former players coming and talking to
- 19:27Speaker 5: employees that still worked there from when they played.
- 19:29Speaker 4: He did not like that.
- 19:30Speaker 2: That would not be helpful at all.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Right, No, God forbid.
- 19:33Speaker 5: If you former players get to go talk to people
- 19:35Speaker 5: that they spent like eight years of their life.
- 19:37Speaker 2: With, especially if they had success.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Especially if they work in the video room, like oh man,
- 19:42Speaker 5: to get all your secrets, y'all should ask me, because
- 19:45Speaker 5: y'all couldn't hit for three years.
- 19:48Speaker 4: He has, he has a connection. He definitely has. Whatever
- 19:53Speaker 4: you think of him as a big league manager, you know,
- 19:55Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not on that. I'm not on a
- 19:58Speaker 4: hype train. I never was but he's got the Miami connection.
- 20:01Speaker 4: So maybe FIU says, how do we get more players
- 20:05Speaker 4: from Miami to come here and not go to other schools,
- 20:09Speaker 4: go to other schools in the state, in the country,
- 20:11Speaker 4: stay here in f I uh, you know, so maybe
- 20:14Speaker 4: he's you know, he's got that mascot gig that he's
- 20:17Speaker 4: gonna be able to kick around.
- 20:20Speaker 2: What's the Miami connection.
- 20:23Speaker 4: That's where he's He's like Miami Baseball in Miami. He's Miami. Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 4: I mean, if you talk to guys that are down there,
- 20:30Speaker 4: that's those are the guys that really like him. And
- 20:31Speaker 4: I'm assuming that's probably why he ended up, you know,
- 20:34Speaker 4: enough people banging the drum to be able to get
- 20:36Speaker 4: his big league job with the White Sox. You know,
- 20:39Speaker 4: it didn't work out, you know, not everybody. Just be
- 20:42Speaker 4: careful who you who you pump up to get a job,
- 20:44Speaker 4: because your name is also part of that when you say, hey,
- 20:48Speaker 4: you know, I think this guy should work. So but
- 20:52Speaker 4: he's got that Miami connection. He does have that. He
- 20:55Speaker 4: has that cache down there for sure.
