- 0:12Speaker 1: in here matt Ox boy, what's good with a game?
- 0:15Speaker 1: What's up? Buddy man? You know living this La lifestyle?
- 0:19Speaker 1: You live here now? No, I've been out here for
- 0:20Speaker 1: the month though. Oh okay, I feel like I'm just
- 0:23Speaker 1: you know, it's like second home now. I've been coming
- 0:24Speaker 1: out here since the kid. You feel me, I'm always
- 0:27Speaker 1: in La every couple of months, you feel me. Well,
- 0:29Speaker 1: now you're like officially eighteen, right, finally. Yeah. It's kind
- 0:32Speaker 1: of crazy because like I feel like when the overwhelming
- 0:34Speaker 1: song what were you twelve? Like eleven? Yeah? Crazy like eleven,
- 0:38Speaker 1: twelve yeah, twelve, Yeah, I'll probably like turning twelve where
- 0:42Speaker 1: you originally from Philadelphia, phil Yeah, and raise. That's crazy.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So you pop off at twelve years old in kind
- 0:48Speaker 1: of like peak SoundCloud era of music. Yeah, I feel
- 0:53Speaker 1: like we kind of have seen you kind of grow
- 0:54Speaker 1: up in front of our eyes. Yeah, man, for you, Like,
- 0:58Speaker 1: how's it feel to kind of finally it to being
- 1:00Speaker 1: an adult? It's crazy, I mean it's just I felt
- 1:06Speaker 1: like an adult for a the longest time because I've
- 1:08Speaker 1: been doing so much grown stuff, like just going out
- 1:11Speaker 1: the clubs and like stuff like that, like strict clubs
- 1:13Speaker 1: and like since I was like sixteen, you gonna shit
- 1:16Speaker 1: like that. Like it's just like ever since a kid,
- 1:19Speaker 1: I've been living this grown lifestyle. You feel me, right,
- 1:22Speaker 1: It just now it's just like I kind of been
- 1:26Speaker 1: doing all that stuff, so I'm kind of just trying
- 1:28Speaker 1: to focus on the business now. You feel me just
- 1:30Speaker 1: mature with it. You feel me I'm having fun though,
- 1:32Speaker 1: But do you feel like like growing up in the
- 1:35Speaker 1: rap game, you kind of lost a lot of like
- 1:37Speaker 1: of your innocence, you know what I'm saying. And yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: but I mean everything that I go through is destined.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I feel like I knew that I wanted to be
- 1:46Speaker 1: a rapper ever since a little kid, like and it's
- 1:49Speaker 1: like the shit I was doing. I was drawing myself
- 1:51Speaker 1: out on a piece of paper performing in front of
- 1:53Speaker 1: the crowds when I was like ten, and then a
- 1:55Speaker 1: couple of years later it interesting came true, like twenty
- 1:59Speaker 1: thousand people in the crowd, you know what I'm saying,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Like Mad Decent show with Diplo. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 2:04Speaker 1: and it's just a year after I wrote that on
- 2:05Speaker 1: a piece of paper. It's like, it's crazy. It's crazy
- 2:09Speaker 1: coming from Philly because your music is obviously like more
- 2:11Speaker 1: like melodic, more like you know, you know when when
- 2:14Speaker 1: I hear your shit, I don't really hear a lot
- 2:16Speaker 1: of Philly influence. If you will, Yeah, well, is it
- 2:19Speaker 1: safe to say you really as a kid the whole
- 2:21Speaker 1: like Philly meek male, free way shit kind of like
- 2:25Speaker 1: missed you. Yeah, I never like I listened to that
- 2:29Speaker 1: type of stuff, but I never like was like trying
- 2:35Speaker 1: to do stuff that everybody else was doing. Like I
- 2:37Speaker 1: was literally making this for my soul, like I knew
- 2:39Speaker 1: I wanted to make music. You gotta understand, Like I
- 2:42Speaker 1: was working with all the big producers that was that's
- 2:46Speaker 1: popping right now, like right for sure, like Filthy, working
- 2:49Speaker 1: on Dying, like the people that just did Cardi Hoole tape.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Uh yeah, produced a lot for the Poland song for
- 2:55Speaker 1: YACHTI Like those are the guys you're working with? Yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: like eleven, you know what I'm saying. So, like we
- 3:00Speaker 1: was creating a whole new sound in the city with
- 3:02Speaker 1: the trash shit and like just like people know, like
- 3:06Speaker 1: if you ask around, they gonna know, you know what
- 3:07Speaker 1: I'm saying, So like they where when I was a kid,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I was just posting a bunch of like Twitter snippets.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I was freestyle on Twitter, and they found me on
- 3:16Speaker 1: Twitter and they would just send me a bunch of beats.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And then from there we just start going crazy and
- 3:21Speaker 1: like just making a whole new sound. And then that's
- 3:25Speaker 1: what made it it stick out, I feel like, right,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and then a lot of my early stuff was actually
- 3:30Speaker 1: trenched out like it was real like rap. I mean
- 3:33Speaker 1: like a not a lot of people here, but like
- 3:34Speaker 1: the real ones, know, like Michael Myers low Key, those
- 3:37Speaker 1: were way before Overwhelming. Overwhelming wasn't my first song. Overwhelming
- 3:41Speaker 1: was just something that we planned out so it could
- 3:45Speaker 1: go up, you know what I'm saying. With the fidget spinners,
- 3:47Speaker 1: with the kids on the block, fidget Spinner gang man,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I think if God, I think five years ago, I
- 3:51Speaker 1: think of fidget spinners and I think of you. Yeah, God,
- 3:53Speaker 1: that's what everybody say. It was like we capitalized on
- 3:56Speaker 1: it without even trying, you know what I'm saying. What
- 3:59Speaker 1: happened to fidget spinners are just out. Yeah, I don't know.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I ain't see a Fisher spinner in a minute. Those
- 4:04Speaker 1: things were fucking lit for a while. It was right,
- 4:08Speaker 1: So give me like for you, man, because I do
- 4:10Speaker 1: feel like anytime, you know, you go through such a
- 4:15Speaker 1: real fast path to fame, viralness, et cetera, especially at
- 4:20Speaker 1: a young age, there's probably a lot of stuff that's
- 4:23Speaker 1: hard to deal with, you know, stuff that you probably
- 4:25Speaker 1: looking back on. Is there anything that you feel like
- 4:28Speaker 1: you took from that era that you learned from or
- 4:30Speaker 1: any mistakes you feel like you might have made? It? Yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 1: I didn't been through deals on deals and and like,
- 4:35Speaker 1: how many deals have you been signed to too? Like
- 4:38Speaker 1: two major deals, I mean two major labels. I was
- 4:41Speaker 1: signed up Warner Brothers at first and then Motown with
- 4:44Speaker 1: Capital and you're free agent out now, free agent independent. Fully,
- 4:49Speaker 1: I just I had too because I ain't never took
- 4:53Speaker 1: that route and I wanted to since the beginning of
- 4:55Speaker 1: my career. It was just a lot of stuff that
- 4:58Speaker 1: was it was like, it was just a lot of
- 5:00Speaker 1: stuff like you know when in the beginning of your career,
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's like everybody coming to you with deals, Oh, you
- 5:04Speaker 1: gotta do this, Oh you gotta you feel me? So
- 5:07Speaker 1: then but I luckily I got out of both of them,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and now I'm able to do what I want, drop
- 5:12Speaker 1: when I want, I want, and you feel me. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's like one thing I learned from that, Like every
- 5:17Speaker 1: sign artists want to be independent. Every independent artists want
- 5:19Speaker 1: to be sign. It's like you gotta take what you
- 5:21Speaker 1: got and really take advantage of it for sure, whatever
- 5:24Speaker 1: situation it is, how involved, Like how involved has your
- 5:29Speaker 1: mom been in your career? Always like she's my manager
- 5:31Speaker 1: right now, so so your mom is like steering the ship. Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I mean in the beginning, she was scared, like I
- 5:37Speaker 1: had it for I had not for it, but like
- 5:39Speaker 1: I had to kind of like help like be like
- 5:41Speaker 1: it's cool, You're gonna be good, like you could do
- 5:43Speaker 1: this you know what I'm saying, Like cause she was
- 5:45Speaker 1: scared to be a manager, like she ain't know nothing
- 5:47Speaker 1: about the business. We ain't know nothing about the business.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Were coming in, you know what I'm saying, Were coming
- 5:52Speaker 1: into this like really trying to figure it out. It's
- 5:55Speaker 1: gotta be kind of hard because like the motherland stinks.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Kick in, but you're also a popping rapper right, so
- 6:00Speaker 1: that you're around a bunch of shit this hella. But
- 6:03Speaker 1: my mom had me at fifteen, so in the beginning
- 6:05Speaker 1: it was like she was kind of scared, but then
- 6:09Speaker 1: she got so your mom had you when she was fifteeneen,
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's like blood assister relationship almost, like we just we
- 6:15Speaker 1: closed like that. You feel like, how does your mom
- 6:18Speaker 1: now he's thirty two? Damn, I'm older than your mom.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Motherfuck yeah, it's crazy, shout out to mom. Yeah, your
- 6:25Speaker 1: mom by turn thirty three. It's about to be your
- 6:28Speaker 1: birthday on the sixteen Happy birthday to month day. Damn.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So your mom and you were just kind of figuring
- 6:33Speaker 1: this shut out as a pretty much we together. You know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: all this up you feel I'm still in school, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: then pretty much all that stuff happens years later. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: didn't even get to go to high school. I had
- 6:42Speaker 1: to drop out before I even went to high school,
- 6:45Speaker 1: So you never even got to make it to ninth grade.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I went homes school, and it was to the point
- 6:50Speaker 1: where it was like the homeschool wasn't really doing nothing right.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So I was ended up just like like just copying
- 6:56Speaker 1: past and everything, just like cheating pretty much like it
- 7:01Speaker 1: was just too easy, you know what I'm saying. So
- 7:03Speaker 1: like I just realized, like, bro, you could do your
- 7:05Speaker 1: own research. You know what I'm saying. We have computers
- 7:08Speaker 1: and phones now, which is like AI is killing our
- 7:11Speaker 1: brain slowly, but at the same time, it's learning. You
- 7:15Speaker 1: can learn from it because it's creating a bigger, iCloud brain,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I feel like that's
- 7:22Speaker 1: what's happening right now. So did you get a GED
- 7:25Speaker 1: or anything or did you just kind of you know,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I ain't do nothing. I ain't get no GD I
- 7:30Speaker 1: dropped out, dropped out. So when was the last time
- 7:33Speaker 1: eighth grade we were in school? Seventh much? Yeah, I
- 7:36Speaker 1: don't even remember the grade it was on. It was
- 7:38Speaker 1: on the computer, so it was all online. Yeah, you
- 7:41Speaker 1: can't even hear. That's crazy. It's like at first, because
- 7:46Speaker 1: at first I had to go home school because everybody
- 7:49Speaker 1: knew me you were popping at school. But then everybody
- 7:51Speaker 1: had to go home to school because of Corona. COVID.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, damn, but there it is, man, I'd say, Kobe, Yeah, yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 1: COVID Corona, same shit. It so fast forward to now obviously,
- 8:03Speaker 1: you're eighteen, now you got new music coming. Do you
- 8:06Speaker 1: feel like being independent is more like does it fit
- 8:11Speaker 1: fit you more? Because you can kind of drop when
- 8:13Speaker 1: you want. Yeah, I feel like and now that I'm eighteen,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I could finally be myself, you feel me Like before
- 8:18Speaker 1: it felt like I had to keep certain shit like secret,
- 8:21Speaker 1: just stay low key because like it's like I don't
- 8:25Speaker 1: want to get caught up and it means like like
- 8:27Speaker 1: my mom, I don't want my mom get caught up
- 8:29Speaker 1: or nothing because I'm a minor. You ge know what
- 8:30Speaker 1: I'm saying, meaning like what like because you do what
- 8:33Speaker 1: I need to do, do what I want to do.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Just be out, pardon whatever
- 8:38Speaker 1: I want to do. Were you doing like a ton
- 8:39Speaker 1: of drugs? No, I wasn't doing no druggs. Well that's good,
- 8:42Speaker 1: like everybody around me was. But it's like you gotta
- 8:45Speaker 1: keep a strong mind, like so you never participated in
- 8:48Speaker 1: any of the fuckeryn It's like you gotta know when
- 8:52Speaker 1: to draw the line, like everybody around me be doing
- 8:55Speaker 1: crazy shit, Like I didn't been in parties where everybody
- 8:57Speaker 1: sniff and shit. Like in the first show, I had
- 9:00Speaker 1: people off a keademy. My mom there. You know what
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm saying, was your mom off academy. No, I don't know.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm not going to do none of that ship. Well
- 9:07Speaker 1: that's good at least she passed that down to you,
- 9:09Speaker 1: because that would have been super easy for you to
- 9:11Speaker 1: like Noah, Because Bro, I've seen it from the jump,
- 9:15Speaker 1: like people tweaked out and my shoulder just tweaked out.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I never wanted to do like, I'm never going sniff
- 9:21Speaker 1: nothing in my life. You feel me? Maybe if I'm
- 9:24Speaker 1: in Columbia with a badass you mean, but like other
- 9:27Speaker 1: than that, I ain't doing in that ship. You feel me?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Gotta be right. You know you haven't been to Columbia
- 9:31Speaker 1: yet obviously no one day. Well you're eighteen, ow you
- 9:34Speaker 1: can go where you went? Man, you got your passport yet? Yeah?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I got my patport. Yeah, been here my paessport. I
- 9:38Speaker 1: had to go to London in Paris when I was
- 9:40Speaker 1: like thirteen. So crazy walk like a fashion show with
- 9:43Speaker 1: I saw that. Yeah, yeah, it turn his channel up
- 9:48Speaker 1: all the way up. Uh. Yeah, I think it is
- 9:51Speaker 1: kind of crazy because I do feel like you were
- 9:54Speaker 1: kind of like you had a crazy run, bro, because
- 9:58Speaker 1: you ended up going super doing the fashion show, shit,
- 10:01Speaker 1: working with X. How did you want X? Initially link
- 10:04Speaker 1: up dms like that pretty much. I looked up to
- 10:07Speaker 1: X like my whole like that was my favorite artist.
- 10:10Speaker 1: You got know what I'm saying. And I would DMO
- 10:14Speaker 1: and then he hit me back like but the way
- 10:16Speaker 1: mm me bad was like he knew me, like it
- 10:18Speaker 1: was my friend already. You you know what I'm saying.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And when we would chop it up, he would just
- 10:22Speaker 1: tell me so much like info on like just like
- 10:25Speaker 1: what to do and how to do it, like write
- 10:27Speaker 1: out your own deals all that type of shit, like
- 10:29Speaker 1: just real grown game. You get know what I'm saying,
- 10:31Speaker 1: like big bro shit, you feel me. But we never met,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but we would always chop it up online. Yeah, Like
- 10:37Speaker 1: we were FaceTime for hours though, you feel me, like
- 10:40Speaker 1: just talking you know what I'm saying, like play the
- 10:42Speaker 1: game together, all that type of shit. And then but
- 10:44Speaker 1: we never met, but we were all and I would
- 10:46Speaker 1: send them music. He was sending me shit and then
- 10:49Speaker 1: we made the song and he put it on the album.
- 10:52Speaker 1: It was like three people on that album. You you you
- 10:54Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Was it huge? Was Joey Badass
- 10:57Speaker 1: on the Y and Travis uh Berker. Yeah, that's crazy,
- 11:02Speaker 1: that is wild because that is a important album in
- 11:05Speaker 1: history now we look back, that was his first, Like,
- 11:08Speaker 1: that was his first album. Yeah, no, it was, Well,
- 11:10Speaker 1: wasn't that his first full length album? No, it was
- 11:14Speaker 1: maybe was it seventeen or the question mark? Seventeen was
- 11:17Speaker 1: his first? Okay, then it was a question mark because
- 11:19Speaker 1: a question mark was on. But he was always dropping
- 11:21Speaker 1: project like right from the jump, like little mini projects
- 11:24Speaker 1: and stuff like that. But yeah, his full first project
- 11:27Speaker 1: was seventeen. I'm pretty sure. Do you remember what your
- 11:29Speaker 1: last like exchange with him was before he passed away?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Probably a FaceTime call. You know, we would just chop
- 11:35Speaker 1: it up. I would send him music, you know. I
- 11:36Speaker 1: was sending them a song. I was sending him this
- 11:38Speaker 1: song I was working on for him. He was supposed
- 11:40Speaker 1: to hop on because when we did the song for
- 11:43Speaker 1: his album, it was like a swap, so he would
- 11:45Speaker 1: give me one for my vice versa. I was supposed
- 11:48Speaker 1: to have another song, but we never got it done. Damn, man,
- 11:51Speaker 1: tell me the story about Drake trying to buy one
- 11:54Speaker 1: of your records. Oh so the reason I didn't do
- 11:57Speaker 1: that was because I was cool with X, you know
- 11:59Speaker 1: what I'm saying, and like, and there was that kind
- 12:00Speaker 1: of like weird beef that. Yeah, they had that shit
- 12:02Speaker 1: going on. So I just stayed out the way of that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And then on top of that, I linked that with
- 12:08Speaker 1: my boy like oogie pretty much so he could just
- 12:11Speaker 1: get the beat. And now they got to buy So
- 12:13Speaker 1: what was it? So it was a It was a
- 12:15Speaker 1: so Drake was trying to buy a song that you
- 12:16Speaker 1: had already like cut. Yeah, I already made it. It
- 12:19Speaker 1: was called Message, and uh, my manager pretty much told me.
- 12:23Speaker 1: My manager at that time told me that, uh, they
- 12:27Speaker 1: was trying to buy a song for hundred and fifty thousand,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and I just denied it cause it was like how
- 12:36Speaker 1: to respect the X? Yeah, ou to respect the X?
- 12:38Speaker 1: And then you know, it was just it was like
- 12:42Speaker 1: pick aside. You know what I'm saying to your side,
- 12:44Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And I just I mean,
- 12:47Speaker 1: he did a solid for you put on that's my
- 12:50Speaker 1: brother too, you know what I'm saying. Beyond all that.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So I just had to stay down for that, you
- 12:54Speaker 1: feel me? But yeah, and now you say that producer's
- 12:57Speaker 1: got tons of musical Drake. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah. Do
- 13:00Speaker 1: you ever feel like you get in I'm on a
- 13:01Speaker 1: Jumbo try song? If you hear is poppers, you know
- 13:05Speaker 1: what I'm talking about? You hear my tagging that? So

- 19:03Speaker 1: back to the interview. Do you feel like you get
- 19:05Speaker 1: enough credit in terms of like some of the like
- 19:07Speaker 1: cause you've I feel like you're ahead of the curve. Yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I mean credit is credit, bro. If people won't give
- 19:14Speaker 1: me credit, that's cool. My ego don'e being dissolved and died.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Like I don't even exist, bro, Like all this is
- 19:20Speaker 1: a figment of your mind, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:22Speaker 1: All that, oh maddox, this big celebrity. I'm a human being.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'm just like everybody else. Ain't no different, you know
- 19:28Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I don't need no credit. Everybody
- 19:30Speaker 1: actually takes influence and gives influence. That's the point of
- 19:34Speaker 1: the game, you know, know know what I'm saying. We are
- 19:35Speaker 1: vessels at the end of the day. So I don't
- 19:38Speaker 1: my credit gonna come, you know what I'm saying. Whatever
- 19:40Speaker 1: credit they gonna see, they gonna know. And people be talking,
- 19:43Speaker 1: people be saying they know they know the real ones
- 19:46Speaker 1: know at least, so like when people talk, oh yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 1: Maddocks made that, say oh Maddox zero degrees. Yeah, that's
- 19:53Speaker 1: that's the blueprint of what people is doing right now.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like a lot of the
- 19:58Speaker 1: stuff I was doing back in the days is blueprint.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It's prodigy shit, you know what I'm saying. Like a
- 20:03Speaker 1: lot of people not on it, and people can't understand
- 20:05Speaker 1: it because it's just to us ahead of the time.
- 20:07Speaker 1: How did you get to the point where you feel
- 20:08Speaker 1: like your ego got dissolved? Was there something that happened
- 20:10Speaker 1: or was there an experience? Psychedelics? Psychedelics, mushrooms everything? DNT
- 20:16Speaker 1: at fourteen? My boy didn't nobody like that look and
- 20:19Speaker 1: that was crazy because I was in the industry. You
- 20:21Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. But like, it's just a lot
- 20:23Speaker 1: of crazy stuff. So you did. How was the DMT
- 20:27Speaker 1: trip at fourteen? Ain't gonna talk about we gotta talk
- 20:29Speaker 1: about it. I want to know what do you remember
- 20:31Speaker 1: anything from? All right? So it was off a dad
- 20:34Speaker 1: break right and brother that told me he was like,
- 20:35Speaker 1: it's not a drug, it's a chemical. True. So I'm like,
- 20:38Speaker 1: all right, I don't look at psychedelics as drugs exactly,
- 20:41Speaker 1: it's a so and DNT is actually organism. It is
- 20:44Speaker 1: a living organism. You know what I'm saying. Your body
- 20:46Speaker 1: produces it naturally, you know what I'm saying. So when
- 20:49Speaker 1: I did that, it was off a dad brig and
- 20:52Speaker 1: I felt like spirits trying and bring me to another round,
- 20:56Speaker 1: but I didn't go. I was scared, like I felt weird.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm like, no, this is wild. But ever since then,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I've just been tapped in with like just the spirit
- 21:05Speaker 1: round and just like just everything around me, just the energy,
- 21:10Speaker 1: you know, spirit, you feel me, spirituality, all that type
- 21:13Speaker 1: of stuff you feel me zing for real, like going zam.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I got homies WO do DMT like twice a year
- 21:18Speaker 1: where just to kind of like freshen up there. Fucking yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I know people that do like heroic swoon those like
- 21:24Speaker 1: they'll take the heroes do crazy. I can't do that
- 21:28Speaker 1: right now because I'm in like artists mode. I gotta
- 21:31Speaker 1: like be socializing stuff, gotta be super sharp. Everything you know,
- 21:36Speaker 1: done a hero's dose. I dodn't dig crazy doses, but
- 21:41Speaker 1: not a hero's dose. No, not no six seven. I
- 21:44Speaker 1: mean maybe, but I was probably young, Like, you gotta understand, bro,
- 21:47Speaker 1: I'm in the mix since I was like, I don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: even remember, bro, but like all that when I was younger.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's just I don't remember. Microdosing is definitely a productive
- 21:57Speaker 1: thing too, because you can microdose and be super sharp.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I know people micro does when they work out. When
- 22:02Speaker 1: I was doing it, they wasn't on that type. It's
- 22:04Speaker 1: like everybody was like, oh, it's still like tripped out,
- 22:07Speaker 1: Like nobody was talking about that type of stuff to like,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I feel like a couple of years ago. Yeah, I
- 22:11Speaker 1: got like two friends who before they work out, they'll
- 22:13Speaker 1: just take a micro dose, and that shit is like
- 22:15Speaker 1: taking pre workout for them. It's kind of crazy. How
- 22:18Speaker 1: y'all be doing that? For sure? People go to school
- 22:20Speaker 1: off and now and stuff like that. For you, how
- 22:23Speaker 1: would you kind of describe the new music you're making? Man?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Just new, experimental, tripped out, turned up you feel me
- 22:34Speaker 1: and just experiment. Like there's so many different sounds I've
- 22:38Speaker 1: been working on, so I can't really explain it in
- 22:41Speaker 1: a couple of words. It is you got to listen
- 22:43Speaker 1: and experience it. It's really an experience. Do you feel
- 22:46Speaker 1: like you know, being that this is your first music independently.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Do you kind of feel like there's like some sort
- 22:52Speaker 1: of freedom to the way you recorded this music as
- 22:54Speaker 1: opposed to before. Yeah, I mean I always would freestyle.
- 22:58Speaker 1: A lot of my music, Like most of my music
- 23:00Speaker 1: that you heard is freestyle, just punching in line by line,
- 23:04Speaker 1: like the X song jet Lad A lot of most
- 23:10Speaker 1: of the songs you heard, except for like Overwhelming. I
- 23:12Speaker 1: wrote that, but I wrote that in like fifteen minutes crazy,
- 23:15Speaker 1: So like a lot of this is like off the
- 23:17Speaker 1: top of my head. And I feel like you make
- 23:19Speaker 1: the best music when you're not like overthinking it, you
- 23:22Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Like when I overthink, sometimes I
- 23:25Speaker 1: can't even make a song because that's what creates brightest black.
- 23:28Speaker 1: So you'll just like get in the booth, will you
- 23:30Speaker 1: lay down the melody and then punching the lyrics. I'll punch. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 1: it depends. It's all about how I'm feeling, what beat
- 23:36Speaker 1: it is, you know, Like it all depends on the vibe.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Like if the vibe, if the vibe is right, I'm
- 23:41Speaker 1: gonna be able to make the song just like that
- 23:43Speaker 1: because I just feel it. It's almost like a spirit
- 23:46Speaker 1: possessing me while I'm in the booth and then it
- 23:49Speaker 1: just let it out, you know, because sometimes I say stuff,
- 23:51Speaker 1: I'll be like, damn, how I even think of that?
- 23:53Speaker 1: And that's why I like freestyling, because it's off the
- 23:56Speaker 1: top of your head. So you're more free, you more
- 23:58Speaker 1: open up, more new idea. Right for sure? If you
- 24:02Speaker 1: were not a rapper, what do you think you'd be doing? Man,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you, I'll probably running around doing bullshit.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Take that out, okay, not like what you literally be doing.
- 24:16Speaker 1: What would you want to be doing? Like when you
- 24:17Speaker 1: were like before you started to pop up as a kid,
- 24:19Speaker 1: did you have like any other dreams besides being a rapper? Kid?
- 24:22Speaker 1: I used to want to be a YouTuber, Like I
- 24:24Speaker 1: always knew I wanted to like do something like that
- 24:26Speaker 1: would so either way, you wanted to be kind of like,
- 24:29Speaker 1: you know, in the entertainment business in some capacity for sure,
- 24:32Speaker 1: because I always used to well, I just knew how
- 24:34Speaker 1: to go get some bread. Like I would always see
- 24:36Speaker 1: like YouTubers making money and stuff, and I'm like, right,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I'm eleven making all these different YouTube accounts. I probably
- 24:41Speaker 1: like five to ten YouTube counts. I'm doing gaming, I'm
- 24:44Speaker 1: doing vlogs. I'm doing anything right, you know what I'm saying,
- 24:46Speaker 1: which is now crazy because that's now because that's what
- 24:48Speaker 1: everybody else is doing, right. But I'm back when like
- 24:50Speaker 1: Pautie Pie and like uh my, you know, like back
- 24:55Speaker 1: in those days, like when everybody was on YouTube watching
- 24:58Speaker 1: that type of stuff. So that now is like it's
- 25:01Speaker 1: kids really making money off this. I would tell them like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: and nobody would believe back then, Like you can still
- 25:07Speaker 1: get on Twitch. Yeah, hello, rappers on Twitch, want me
- 25:10Speaker 1: on that? But I don't play the game like that
- 25:12Speaker 1: no more. You don't play games right now. I'll be
- 25:13Speaker 1: in the studio every day, bro, Like I don't. What's
- 25:16Speaker 1: like the last game you really, like really fucking played Fortnite?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Everybody was playing forte was a great game. It was
- 25:24Speaker 1: I was super man. I was weak, Bro, I was
- 25:26Speaker 1: just hiding out in the treehouse waiting for everybody else
- 25:28Speaker 1: to die. No, I was getting wins. I ain't gonna
- 25:30Speaker 1: lie number one. I was getting a lot of top
- 25:33Speaker 1: three finishes from being a coward. My son would be like,
- 25:36Speaker 1: you're a fucking nube, Dad. Go out there and fight, Bro,
- 25:39Speaker 1: go out there and fight. I'm gonna just chill up here,
- 25:41Speaker 1: let everybody kill each other. Yeah, facts, that'd be the
- 25:44Speaker 1: cheat code for so not for sure. I mean i'd
- 25:47Speaker 1: be a grand theft thought though, but yeah, granted alough it.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You know Call of Duty for show. I still play zombies.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Zombies my favorite. Like on Call of Duty, there's like
- 25:56Speaker 1: a have you ever fucked with any of these random
- 25:59Speaker 1: servers on rand theft auto because T Grizzly has his
- 26:03Speaker 1: own world? Know what you're talking about? Nah, I ain't
- 26:05Speaker 1: never did that, and they do like the I know
- 26:09Speaker 1: what you're talking about. My boy will be doing it too.
- 26:12Speaker 1: They be froud. That should be funny, is it? They
- 26:14Speaker 1: say if you break character that they kill you and
- 26:17Speaker 1: kick you out of the world. Get smoked if you
- 26:19Speaker 1: break character and then you're not allowed back in. That's crazy.

- 29:42Speaker 1: would there be any advice you would give because I've
- 29:45Speaker 1: seen like a lot of new kids that are kind
- 29:46Speaker 1: of on the come up, like little Tyler's doing this thing. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: any advice you would give to cause you kind of
- 29:53Speaker 1: had to go through it for them, for somebody who
- 29:56Speaker 1: a child trying to make it in the rap game. Yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 1: I feel like, just stay true, true to yourself, you

- 30:09Speaker 1: and act like nobody you feel me, like, be yourself
- 30:11Speaker 1: and really running shit up, run your bag up, take
- 30:14Speaker 1: care of your family and stay out the way, and
- 30:17Speaker 1: don't trust these motherfuckers out here because they just try
- 30:19Speaker 1: and get a dollar on God. I feel like you
- 30:21Speaker 1: probably had some crazy nights. What is your craziest rap
- 30:25Speaker 1: night of your life? Whether it was a studio session
- 30:28Speaker 1: with somebody or a concert or I don't know, Okay,
- 30:33Speaker 1: So I mean there's been so many crazy nights, Like
- 30:37Speaker 1: one day, all right, the one time I was it

- 30:46Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, so I think it was either that
- 30:49Speaker 1: or rolling Loud. I forget which one. I was so young,
- 30:52Speaker 1: it's like a blur for me. But pretty much, I'm
- 30:55Speaker 1: there and I was running to Uzzi and you know
- 30:58Speaker 1: we're from the same city. Yeah. And then all my
- 31:01Speaker 1: producers that I was talking about, they went to high
- 31:03Speaker 1: school together, Brandon for the Ugie and Filthy, they all
- 31:09Speaker 1: they are in a producer group called Working on Din

- 31:13Speaker 1: from Philly? Yeah? Neats, Yeah, it was my whole manager. Okay,
- 31:17Speaker 1: my first manager. You know what's so crazy is because
- 31:19Speaker 1: he works with Freddie Gibs a lot. It's one of
- 31:20Speaker 1: my favorite, one of my best friends. And he's been
- 31:23Speaker 1: at my studio bunch and I remember him saying I
- 31:26Speaker 1: used to manage the kid up. That makes sense. Yeah yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: so so so tell me about the day you met Uzzi.
- 31:32Speaker 1: When we met Uzzi, I brought everybody on the on
- 31:34Speaker 1: the bus when I met him. We was with Cardi,
- 31:38Speaker 1: Ben Barler was in there, Maxell Crane. We was all
- 31:42Speaker 1: just on a bus chilling. You feel me. He brought
- 31:44Speaker 1: me up on the bus, so like we all just
- 31:47Speaker 1: locked in. I brought Ugi and them up there we
- 31:49Speaker 1: locked it all in and then he brought me out
- 31:52Speaker 1: on stage. It was just turned you feeling, like right
- 31:54Speaker 1: after my set and then it just like so much.
- 31:57Speaker 1: We got on this big ass uh tour bus us
- 32:00Speaker 1: and then we went to the movies, saw some crazy

- 32:33Speaker 1: you're in the game, being like you're you're kind of
- 32:34Speaker 1: young and from his city. You know what I saying,
- 32:36Speaker 1: The way I learned from Uzi, the way he moved,
- 32:38Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like, just like you know,
- 32:42Speaker 1: just stay preserved, you know, stay rare, you know, stay
- 32:45Speaker 1: out the way you know, because if you stay rare,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and your availability is less, your price goes up. You
- 32:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. The less availability, the less you
