- 3:30Thank you, Jesus. Hi there.
- 3:34I'm Jerry from the Millennial Mustard Seed Podcast.
- 3:37And this is Rod from the Strange O'clock Podcast.
- 3:40And together we're the Strange Millennial Mustard Seed podcast.
- 3:47We're spreading this the strange Millennial Mustard seeds all
- 3:50over the world hopefully right now.
- 3:53So people that might be confused but we just wanted to say that
- 3:58we are teaming up 5050 with hosting and Co hosting with each
- 4:03other and and we are we are each other's guests.
- 4:07We want to just split it right down the middle that I'm not
- 4:10Ron's guest or he or he's not my guest, but we're we're just, you
- 4:14know, joining forces together and we wanted to share our
- 4:18testimonials with you all or if you're southern, with y'all.
- 4:24Or if you're from Philly, you could say use guys, use guys, or
- 4:27if you're from Philly, use guys. Testimony would choose.
- 4:30Yeah. Yeah I like that would choose
- 4:32right or from California you could say with you you you guys
- 4:38share it with you guys and gal surfs up hang loose.
- 4:42So I'm I'm so blessed to have Rod from Millennial Mustard Seed
- 4:46on our joint podcast and he's going to share his testimonial
- 4:51and story. So Rod, can you tell me your
- 4:56testimonial and how you came to know the Lord when you were
- 4:59young and you want to share right from the beginning and how
- 5:04you came to know the Lord? Well, it's a long story and I
- 5:08have shared my testimony on the Days of Noah podcast and then on
- 5:13it was aired on my show as well. And actually got a lot of
- 5:16listener responses from that and the feedback of people saying
- 5:19more and more and more. So I'm like I'm still digesting
- 5:22some of my experience, but I did not grow up in the church.
- 5:27So I'll start there. You know, I grew up very secular
- 5:29outside of Philadelphia, PA So it was diverse culture, you know
- 5:33there. There was a lot of things going
- 5:35on, a lot of things to get wrapped up in and.
- 5:40You know, with my dad's side of the family, I'm not going to
- 5:42spend too much time here, but he, his mother was an Italian
- 5:45Princess. She was first generation from
- 5:47Italy. She was Rose Maria Tavianna
- 5:49Palante. So I didn't grow up in the
- 5:52church, you know, for me, I grew up very secular outside of
- 5:56Philadelphia, PA and I had good parents.
- 6:00They worked hard and they had morals.
- 6:02But for us it was kind of just. Anything that the world was
- 6:08doing, we were half entertaining that.
- 6:11So I didn't know much about the Bible, although I had some
- 6:14experiences when I was younger. You know, I shared a little bit
- 6:18on an episode that I did on the Days of Noah podcast and it was
- 6:23aired on my show as well, just kind of touching some of these
- 6:25climaxes. But one of the interesting
- 6:28things for me was I knew since I was like 7 years old, I had a
- 6:33calling on my life. And it was to, you know, seek
- 6:38God and to to really know what's going on here.
- 6:40Because I had an aunt and she was on the phone.
- 6:43She was talking about the glory of God.
- 6:45She was talking about this God of just majesty and and
- 6:47brilliant light and love. That's just uncomprehendable.
- 6:50Right. And and this is back in the
- 6:52early 90s, so it's like a long squiggly, you know, 10 foot long
- 6:56telephone cord, you know, and I'm sitting there playing with
- 6:59my Batman toy and. I had this like I I want to say
- 7:04it's an out of body experience. I still don't have the exact
- 7:06language for it, but what happened was I was watching
- 7:10myself as a young kid playing with this Batman toy from the
- 7:14top corner of the room, and I was engulfed in light and that
- 7:18terrified me because I didn't know how to talk about that.
- 7:22I didn't have the language for it or definitions for it, you
- 7:24know? And I tried to forget about that
- 7:27to be honest with you. But my Aunt Connie, she was on
- 7:30the phone and she was talking with somebody about about the
- 7:32Lord. She was the only person in my
- 7:34young life that was walking around with the Bible, Excuse
- 7:37me. Like, I'm going to live by this.
- 7:40I'm going to represent this. And other than that, it was
- 7:43just, it was secular culture, You know, like we ate, we ate
- 7:46cheese steaks, You know what I mean?
- 7:48We, you know, we watch sports. You know, it was like this.
- 7:51Just kind of really basic, you know, partying, work hard, party
- 7:55hard. Philadelphia culture that I I
- 7:59was immersed in from a young age, So a lot of things happened
- 8:05and I don't want to spend like a terrible amount of time on one
- 8:10thing or another. I mean, it is emotional for me
- 8:12to think of things back-to-back. But my mom got diagnosed with
- 8:17cancer when I'm like 17 years old, right?
- 8:20So she's she's white as a ghost. At one point in time, she had
- 8:23lost all the hair on her body. She's just a tiny little thing
- 8:26laying in the bed. And she was going through
- 8:29chemotherapy. And I remember her.
- 8:34I took her some tea and some food, and I take it upstairs.
- 8:37And this is just like a really dark time of life.
- 8:40And she says to me, she's stopping all medication.
- 8:43She's stopping chemo. She's stopping everything.
- 8:45And she was going to go to church.
- 8:47And I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 8:51Like, in my mind, I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 8:54Like this is the medicine. This is crazy.
- 8:56But like, I respected my mother and I knew that she was saying
- 8:59it from a place of like, listen to me, son, Like, like if I do
- 9:03one more day of what the doctors are telling me to do, I'm going
- 9:05to die. And so I was just shocked by it
- 9:09that that's like that's like another moment where it's like
- 9:12this defining time where I'm like being in my mind.
- 9:17I'm like observing and watching and and like life is going on.
- 9:20But this is like this introduction of.
- 9:24My mother, who's going to choose faith over, you know, fear of
- 9:28death and just over medicine, just it was it's wild.
- 9:32Now that I look back on it, at the time, I was like angry and
- 9:34kind of confused and upset, like what is she talking about?
- 9:36And this doesn't match up, you know what I mean?
- 9:38Kind of shocked a little bit. But I respected her enough not
- 9:41to argue what she has said she she wanted to do.
- 9:43So to this day, you know, we're talking a long time ago now I'm
- 9:4835. She looks like she's 30 years
- 9:51old. Full head of hair, beautiful
- 9:54smile and she's got the glow. So Long story short, she went to
- 9:58this, this church in Norristown, PA and she trusted God through
- 10:04this this really dark, you know, near death experience with
- 10:07cancer that she had. So I think that that was like
- 10:10something I always kind of held onto, but I put it on the back
- 10:12burner, like what do I do with this, you know, and.
- 10:17Let's Fast forward a little bit from there.
- 10:19I'm just going to hit some climaxes.
- 10:20I'm going to try to put a couple new things in there.
- 10:22I didn't share on my previous testimony because my audience
- 10:25has been asking for quite some time for me to do like this
- 10:28explanation. Like they want me to cover all
- 10:29of it. And I'm like, I might need to
- 10:31write a book because it's a lot. It's like a lot of stuff, but.
- 10:34I I get jumped. I have this out of body
- 10:37experience and I get beat up by a bunch of guys.
- 10:41I'm swollen from the back of my ear to like the front of my
- 10:43face, like they try to kill me, right?
- 10:45So I sit up out of my body. Now I'm really frustrated.
- 10:49Like what is going to happen when I die?
- 10:52How come I try to talk about this with like quote UN quote,
- 10:55like religious people or like Christians and they're like kind
- 10:59of standoffish, Like what is he talking about?
- 11:00We can't relate to that. Why are you, you know, like what
- 11:05happened to you, man, you're not of us.
- 11:07Like you're, you're something different.
- 11:08That's how I would feel. And that's kind of like what it
- 11:10how the wall was up between like this, like denominations and
- 11:14religions and churches. And then just my experience, now
- 11:17there's a lot of people like me, but at the time you feel really
- 11:20isolated, like, yo, is there something wrong with me, right?
- 11:23Like, you know, like I've dipped into this world that we don't
- 11:27talk about that I shouldn't know exists, but like, nobody wants
- 11:30to reciprocate me on it. So that that was another thing
- 11:33that, you know, I dealt with PTSD from that.
- 11:36And as I'm growing up, you know, I'm 19 or 20 years old.
- 11:42I can't decide what to do with my life.
- 11:44You know, I'm literally obsessed with what was going to happen
- 11:48when I die. And and I need to chew on this
- 11:50experience. I need to forgive these people
- 11:53because I I didn't want to hold on to, like, rage and
- 11:55bitterness. I knew I had to forgive.
- 11:58But at the same time, I'm like was more perplexed by the
- 12:02experience, Like, so what's really going to happen when I
- 12:05leave this temporary vessel? Because like, we don't talk
- 12:07about that. That's not a that's not a common
- 12:09conversation, right? And if you go to the pastor, he
- 12:12just wants to quit some scripture and just say be a good
- 12:14little boy and go on your way. And it's like, no, no, no.
- 12:16I need to wrestle through this. So I end up moving to Florida.
- 12:20I moved 2000 miles away. I get in a 95 accurate Integra
- 12:24and I hit Interstate 95 and I go to Jacksonville, FL and I'm down
- 12:31there for for a while now. I had twins when I was younger.
- 12:34Beautiful, beautiful children. Riley in Seattle.
- 12:37Yeah, they're just amazing kids and and a blessing.
- 12:41And there there's just so much, so much of the story, But I'll
- 12:44share, I'll share this experience.
- 12:47I'm in Florida. I'm going through, I'm in the
- 12:50gutter. I'm like going through life,
- 12:52right. I didn't really have a good role
- 12:54model or good mentors. I didn't really have good, let's
- 12:58just say, direction. And I'm trying to do right from
- 13:02like a secular standpoint, like like I'm like okay.
- 13:05Well, if I don't smoke or if I don't drink.
- 13:08Then I'll be able to hold a better job, right?
- 13:10It's just like thinking like that, well, let's not do what I
- 13:13was taught, right? Let let's actually change some
- 13:16things up. So I struggled through that and
- 13:18tried to do what was right. But but literally, you know, a
- 13:21backslide. And I didn't really know the
- 13:24Lord. Although I felt like a tugging.
- 13:26Like, don't worry, it's going to get better.
- 13:28Something's coming. But like, it was just like
- 13:30weird. I kind of wanted to like push it
- 13:31away because it was like. I don't know how to process
- 13:34that. I don't know how to digest that.
- 13:35So that just stays over there. And this is reality.
- 13:38I need to deal with this. And I was stuck in this, this
- 13:41weird place for for a while and my daughter Sienna Okay.
- 13:47This is emotional. But I I lived with them.
- 13:52Their Their mother wasn't there at the time.
- 13:55We're in Duval County in the north side of Jacksonville.
- 13:57I think it was 32218 if I remember the zip code.
- 14:01Wow, it's a good memory. They must have did something to
- 14:05me when they beat me up cuz I can remember stuff that I'm like
- 14:07why do I remember that? Wow.
- 14:09Amazing. She comes in to her and my son
- 14:13have a room. I'm across the hall and there's
- 14:16a bathroom in between us and she comes in to.
- 14:20The room. And I'm not asleep.
- 14:21This is like 1:30, almost 2:00 o'clock in the morning.
- 14:23And she's lit up like a light bulb at like almost two in the
- 14:26morning. And I'm like, see, I know.
- 14:27What are you doing? And she says, Dad, dad, they're
- 14:30so beautiful. They're so beautiful.
- 14:34Dad, you're And she's excited. And I jump up and I'm like, OK,
- 14:39because we're in the city. I'm like, I'm, I want to run and
- 14:41check my doors. I'm like, what is going on?
- 14:45And she says no, no dad, Dad. And she's she's she's young,
- 14:48like we didn't go to church. So she doesn't have language to
- 14:52talk about anything other than just like cartoons and life.
- 14:55But she says no, dad, the angels are so beautiful.
- 14:58They're so she didn't even say angels, but she just kept saying
- 15:00they're so beautiful. And I'm like, she's glowing.
- 15:05She's wide awake. I'm like, OK, so I get kind of
- 15:08get down on her level like eye to eye.
- 15:10I'm like, so what's going on kid?
- 15:13And she's just like she. This is going to make me all
- 15:15that she wants to dance, and she's just like in Cloud 9, like
- 15:19that. They're so beautiful.
- 15:22It's going to be okay, she says. And little does she know, she
- 15:30she didn't know. Nobody else knew.
- 15:31But weeks before that, a storm blew in and I had the front
- 15:38door. But I'm home alone at the time.
- 15:39And like, there's this storm. It's like a whatever like
- 15:43Category 3 or 4. Hurricane or whatever they call
- 15:47them, the tropical storms down there.
- 15:49And I'm beating the ground crying out to God and I'm just
- 15:52like had this moment with them, you know?
- 15:55And like I haven't talked about like this, this portion with my
- 15:57daughter and what she experienced and and sharing this
- 16:01before. So forgive me if it chokes me up
- 16:03a little bit, but I I am beating the ground and literally
- 16:08screaming on top of my lungs. And I'm doing it during this
- 16:10storm because I'm like, I don't want my neighbors to think I'm
- 16:12like a crazy psychic. You know what I mean?
- 16:14Like I'm still somewhat logical, but I didn't really care.
- 16:19So now Fast forward to to when my daughter is is telling me
- 16:23that she encountered 3 beautiful beings, right?
- 16:28She just says dad, they're so beautiful and it's going to be
- 16:30okay and I'm skeptical. I'm still looking and I look out
- 16:34the window and I say Sienna bright like that because she
- 16:38kept saying they're so bright, they're so bright and we have a
- 16:40street light that's out there. You can just see one of the
- 16:43street lights from the window, She says no, no, no, no Dad,
- 16:45nothing like that. They are bright and beautiful.
- 16:49And now I'm like, OK, And she says God heard your prayer and
- 16:55now I'm like choked up. I'm like, OK, this kid is
- 17:01flipping the whole entire thing upside down on me.
- 17:03I'm having like a moment that I can't explain.
- 17:07And she says Dad, God heard your prayer.
- 17:10And they're so beautiful. And you don't need to worry,
- 17:13Dad. God's pleased, she said.
- 17:20God's pleased with your prayer and this.
- 17:25This wrecked me, you know? And so she goes on just to tell
- 17:33me how beautiful they are. And I'm trying to extract as
- 17:35much information as I can from her.
- 17:38But. It's just it wrecked me, you
- 17:40know, put me on this, this, this journey where it's like I am, I
- 17:45am humbled because, like, I I like, who am I?
- 17:48Did I pray, right? Because I felt like I was really
- 17:50angry at God when I prayed. I didn't like from what I knew
- 17:54or like what I was like hearing about Christianity.
- 17:57I'm like, that's not the right way to come to him, you know,
- 18:00like out of just like, help me. Are you there?
- 18:03Are you real? Like, you know, just this is
- 18:04like wild prayer I had. And Oh yeah, she did going to
- 18:09tell me that that the three angels that that she had met
- 18:14were the three that were going to take me, Riley and her into
- 18:18heaven. And she said, Dad, don't worry.
- 18:20It's not going to be too long. And I remember keep saying,
- 18:22like, what do you mean by it's not going to be too long?
- 18:24She said Dad, Dad, don't worry. And she's just little like she's
- 18:27others. Just don't know how she could
- 18:28ever have a vocabulary for this stuff.
- 18:31She's saying, Dad, it's not going to be too long, Don't
- 18:34worry. They're the ones that are going
- 18:36to take us to God. God was pleased with your
- 18:38prayer. It's going to be okay Dad.
- 18:39She just kept saying that. And so, like, that wrecked me.
- 18:43You know, I end up coming back to Pennsylvania.
- 18:47Not by choice. You know, at the time I, you
- 18:50know, was in in some trouble. Nothing violent, but I had to
- 18:53appear for court in Pennsylvania.
- 18:55They were going to expedite me. I had like my mom calls me one
- 18:58day and like 5 or 6 police officers surround the house
- 19:01looking for me. I'm that 2000 miles away or
- 19:03whatever, 1000 miles away, whatever it is from Florida to
- 19:06Lake Philadelphia. And so I'm like, in order to be
- 19:09able to maintain normality and grow, I.
- 19:12So I have to turn myself in, right?
- 19:15And a lot of what my daughter had had told me that night gave
- 19:18me the strength to face things that I was like, I'm good.
- 19:22I don't want nothing to do with that.
- 19:23I don't want to go there. I don't want to deal with life.
- 19:26I don't want to be confronted by just, you know.
- 19:30The idiot past that I had and bad decisions that I had, I like
- 19:33was totally content with being as far as I could from where I
- 19:37grew up and the people and and everything.
- 19:39But she gave me by what she told me this this calm still like
- 19:47strength. Like okay, this is this is
- 19:49weirder than I ever thought. God had to have heard me.
- 19:53I mean, you can't make this up like this kid is too young to
- 19:56know this, right? Like I'm all this stuff's
- 19:57running through my mind. So she a lot of that gave me the
- 20:01strength to then just be like, I'm going to face everything and
- 20:04I'm not gonna back down ever again.
- 20:05Like I'm just gonna. And how old was your daughter?
- 20:08She's like three, 3, 1/2 at the time.
- 20:10Oh, she was super little, very young.
- 20:13She's young. Yeah, that's amazing. 3 1/2
- 20:15years old. So And you know that it was
- 20:17supernatural because she doesn't have the religious background to
- 20:21share this kind of supernatural experience.
- 20:24Wow, that gives me chills. Seriously, that's awesome.
- 20:28Yeah. And and to just Fast forward
- 20:31from that, you know to contribute to my testimony, I'll
- 20:34come back to Pennsylvania. My sister, I'm the youngest of
- 20:38three. My my sister's taking me to
- 20:39church in Norristown and I'm here in Romans 8 Romanstown.
- 20:44I just, I'm remembering some verses and I'm really on this
- 20:46like teetertotter of like the the scripture was all who call
- 20:53upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
- 20:55And I remember thinking like, does that include me?
- 20:58Like in like 2013 or whatever this year was by the time I'm
- 21:01back and and and in the church here in PA, I'm going.
- 21:04But does that include me? Because like, now I'm opening
- 21:07the Bible and I'm reading it and I'm like, like these are ancient
- 21:10stories about ancient people. Like that doesn't have nothing
- 21:13to do with me today. But like I was asking that
- 21:15question, does that include me? And so I find myself in in the
- 21:20court and Judge Danielle decides not to lock me up.
- 21:24She actually gives me a purge of release agreement.
- 21:26She looks at me. She says, Mr. Smith, something's
- 21:28changed with you. You're going to do what's right.
- 21:30I said yes, ma'am, I'm out. So, like, I'm not going to get
- 21:33locked up. I have fines, I got to get my
- 21:35license reinstated, all this stuff.
- 21:37But now God's got my heart. Like I surrendered my heart And
- 21:40I'm like, okay, this does include me.
- 21:42And ever since then it's been a slow, like, bumpy.
- 21:45There's been plateaus, but it's been like upwards.
- 21:47And it's just been a wild journey.
- 21:50I just shared what I shared there because like.
- 21:53That's stuff that I left out of other climax, as I shared on my
- 21:56testimony. Because they're so emotional and
- 21:58I literally just don't want to. I'm like just like a, you know,
- 22:02shave my head and a beer and I'm like, I don't want to be
- 22:04balling, No, if you want to, please feel free.
- 22:09I almost started dwelling up. I I had to to mute myself
- 22:13because I had the sniffles as a result of how emotional I was
- 22:16getting through your awesome story about that.
- 22:19So after your your daughter had said that at age 3, how many
- 22:25years was it before you really felt like you gave your life to
- 22:29the Lord? And what was that pivotal point?
- 22:32Well, if it was when I was in the courtroom for the last time,
- 22:36I mean, I was going to church. And like I said, I remember
- 22:38hearing, like Romans, all called upon the name of the Lord will
- 22:41be saved, and there's no condemnation to those who in
- 22:43Christ Jesus. But I surrendered my heart.
- 22:48Right. Like I'm trying to walk better
- 22:50and cleaner. But like, there was this moment
- 22:52where I can't do this on my own. I my efforts are just, it is
- 22:59bullcrap. I have nothing to offer.
- 23:01I'm just worthless in all of this.
- 23:03But there's something about you. God, Jesus, I need you.
- 23:08I need you to be with me. I need you to give me the
- 23:10courage. I need you to reinvent me.
- 23:12I need you to literally come alongside of me and make sure
- 23:15that I can walk in a way that. Is going to going to make me be
- 23:19the man that you're calling me to be.
- 23:21Because I can't visualize what that looks like.
- 23:23But I know I know I'm being tugged And so so it was at that
- 23:30moment where like my heart surrendered.
- 23:31Now I'm I'm, I'm a big believer and like we continually wrestle
- 23:34with the flash daily and we continually surrender like in
- 23:37obedience, right. Like I think when the apostle
- 23:41Paul was talking about, for example, he's terrified of not
- 23:45fulfilling. This high calling in the new in
- 23:48the New Testament, I think he's talking about losing his reward
- 23:51in heaven, not his salvation. I think he was running the race
- 23:54for like the greater treasure treasures in heaven.
- 23:57I don't think he was fearful of losing his salvation.
- 23:59So I'm not like a once saved always saved God.
- 24:02But I believe that if it's a heart thing, so it depends on
- 24:05how our heart is before God. It depends on how we come to him
- 24:09and just if we're real with him or not.
- 24:10Like like having the reality of like we can't hide nothing from
- 24:14him. So if we start to talk to him
- 24:16like there's nothing hidden. If we start to walk like God, I
- 24:19know you see me stumble. I know you see me think this
- 24:21way. I know you see me in my
- 24:23mistakes. But I trust you and and I'm
- 24:26desiring A deeper walk with you when your word is the only light
- 24:29that ever showed me the time I wasted in the darkness.
- 24:32If we're real with ourselves like that, I think God will
- 24:36continue to work on us and and bring us into this place where
- 24:41we're usable, I guess, for Him. So that's kind of, it is really
- 24:45a long drawn out story. I know it might sound crazy to
- 24:47somebody listening, but it really is a long drawn out
- 24:51story. Do you think that with your
- 24:57daughter at age 3 saying, yo dad, I see that they're so
- 25:00beautiful and insinuating that there were angels?
- 25:03Do you think that that was a result of your mom's fervent
- 25:06prayers for you and your your little ones?
- 25:10I I don't know. That's a good question.
- 25:13I don't know. Did she ever say that she was
- 25:16praying for you? Did she ever say?
- 25:19She was praying for you. I had a pastor in Norristown
- 25:21praying for me at the time. My sister and my mother were
- 25:23praying for me at the time, yeah.
- 25:25And in Florida, we weren't attending churches.
- 25:28Like, I pulled a Bible out a couple times in Florida and like
- 25:32red. But it was more or less like it
- 25:34felt like I was awake and asleep at the same time at that part of
- 25:37life. Like I really just felt like I
- 25:39was. Didn't know who I was.
- 25:41Didn't know where I was supposed to be going.
- 25:42You know, I have these two beautiful kids that I need to
- 25:45take care of and PTSD is just spinning in my head.
- 25:48So to really look back on it it it had to have been someone
- 25:54praying for me. It, you know, God, he heard my
- 25:59prayer out of the mouth of a babe, he he confirms.
- 26:03Listen, I heard you beat the ground and cry out to me and.
- 26:08I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that you had to go
- 26:13through that with these horrible people beating you up.
- 26:18And I'm sure through it was only through the Lord Jesus that
- 26:20you've been able to forgive them and.
- 26:22And that he has healed your heart and your mind.
- 26:26And and I I can see that the Lord has really done a work in
- 26:29you. I can see the glow in your face
- 26:31and I can tell that that's from the Lord and I can see the peace
- 26:34in your heart. And and that's definitely,
- 26:37you're definitely a walking, talking millennial testimonial
- 26:41for what God is done in your life.
- 26:42That's that's amazing. That's great.
- 26:45So did you get into podcasting before or after you met your
- 26:49wife, Princess? Oh yeah.
- 26:51So no, We were married when I was at work and I was listening
- 26:57to podcasts and I was like, listening to, like, Bigfoot
- 27:00podcasts and like, Canary Cry radio with thousands of guns.
- 27:04Like I have this like mini playlist going.
- 27:07And other guys were kind of making fun of me because I, I,
- 27:12like, didn't really have nobody to talk about the stuff with.
- 27:14So I bring it up a little bit, you know, like Tesla waters with
- 27:16like other Christians and other people.
- 27:19And it was like, get out of here with that, Like, what are you
- 27:21talking about? Like it was just like that's
- 27:23myth, that's legend, you know? And I remember even people using
- 27:26some scriptures to try to make me seem like I was in error.
- 27:31Surely you do error from the scriptures, brother, right?
- 27:33Like I survive. I'm getting but I'm like I don't
- 27:36care. Well, you guys say, I was
- 27:38testing the waters, right? But I know what God is saying in
- 27:41my heart. I know that the things that are
- 27:43being pressed upon me, it's there's great exploits there yet
- 27:46to be done. Not at the time knowing that the
- 27:50scriptures would say things like it's the glory of God to conceal
- 27:53the matter, but the duty of, you know, the Princess to seek it
- 27:55out. But now I start a podcast and I
- 27:57just had this crazy idea. I think I was listening to Basil
- 28:00and Gonz at the time, and all of this stuff's going on in my
- 28:03mind. I have this like personal
- 28:05journey where it's not just like.
- 28:07I'm infatuated with someone else's story.
- 28:09But like, I literally am wrestling through, how do I make
- 28:11sense of my own story? Like, how do I look somebody in
- 28:13the eyes, sit in front of them and be like, yes, this happened
- 28:16to me, like, how do I do that, right?
- 28:18Because there's just like so much for me to try to make sense
- 28:21of that. I'm like, why don't I take a
- 28:24step of faith and start, start a podcast?
- 28:27Let me just take a step. I'm going to start talking about
- 28:30what's on my mind, what's going on, and capture this growth
- 28:33experience to see, to document it in a way.
- 28:38I knew I wasn't alone, but I know that nobody else was
- 28:41around. That was like fanning the faint,
- 28:44the flame of faith in me. They weren't.
- 28:46They was always like, get out of here with that.
- 28:48Like, I saw I'm like, no, no, no, there's something here.
- 28:51And I kind of just followed that, that talking.
- 28:53So yeah, I think it was like 2018, I was preparing to do a
- 28:57podcast, but 2019. A friend of mine, Nick Long,
- 29:01does this Jacob's Ladder Challenge, which is like.
- 29:04He's on this like a ladder workout piece of equipment, but
- 29:07he does the height of Mount Everest.
- 29:09I forget what it is. I think it's like 8 or 9000
- 29:11feet. So he does that in in steps.
- 29:14It takes him like 8 hours to do it.
- 29:16He does it, catches local traction, you know, he's got
- 29:20this like, muscle shirt on that says give God the glory.
- 29:22So when they ask him why he did what he did, he holds up the
- 29:24shirt and he's like, I'm just giving God the glory.
- 29:27And like, me and him were like laughing about that.
- 29:31We're like, man, this is like, so cool like.
- 29:33Let's tell that story. So like, actually the very first
- 29:36podcast, Not of This World, it was Jacob's Ladder was episode
- 29:40one with me and Nick talking about me and him both doing just
- 29:43like radical crazy stuff of faith.
- 29:45Like we're like, we're going to go against the norm, we're going
- 29:47to go inculcate these areas, and we don't care if you guys like
- 29:50it or not. It was just like kind of
- 29:52starting starting the podcast. It was there so that with the
- 29:56Millennium Muster seed, I just reinvented it.
- 29:59Based upon, like you know, prayer and deep dives.
- 30:01Guys like Chuck Missler especially for like fundamental
- 30:05on helping me see how the word and the depth of the word of
- 30:10God, it surpasses our wildest imagination.
- 30:13And there is no sacred secular divide like we can run to the
- 30:16word. With all these topics, all these
- 30:18questions, it doesn't matter what what's going on.
- 30:22Like the the word is is there to give us edification to.
- 30:26Teach us to rebuke us to to encourage us.
- 30:28Right. And so the millennial mustard,
- 30:31see, was born out of just. I felt small and insignificant
- 30:34in my generation. I didn't.
- 30:37I just didn't really feel like recognized or like I had impact.
- 30:40But I knew that God could do something great if I just
- 30:44surrendered it to him. So I felt like I had this little
- 30:46tiny thing to offer. In a weird way, that's kind of
- 30:48how it how it came out. So yeah, well, I love the name
- 30:52millennial mustard seed. I think I told you last time how
- 30:55much I just think it's the, the, the most awesome podcast name
- 30:59for millennials. And And I love how when Jesus
- 31:03talks about the mustard seed, that if you have faith the size
- 31:05of a mustard seed, you could say that this mountain be removed
- 31:08and flung into the sea. It should be done for you.
- 31:10And I always like thought about like, gosh, how small is the
- 31:13mustard seed? And and I heard it's pretty
- 31:15small. It's I mean it's smaller than
- 31:16the typical seed and and if you think of the smallest seed it's
- 31:20even smaller than that almost like a little speck.
- 31:23And and it's it's amazing that you being a quote millennial
- 31:27have have faith at least the size of a mustard seed and
- 31:30you're you're scattering those seeds of faith among your peers
- 31:33and people that are younger and older like myself and that
- 31:39you're really you share it boldly and with love and I can
- 31:43see that you really have a heart to to win the lost generation
- 31:47for Christ. And and I think that that is
- 31:49amazing and awesome. You know so if anybody happens
- 31:52to you know maybe they say and and shake their fist or whatever
- 31:56like oh this generation you know millennials and why Generation Y
- 31:59and seeing everything but God is reaching the young folk that God
- 32:03is reaching. You know the the real young ones
- 32:06all the way up to you know through your generation and
- 32:10through mine which is generation X.
- 32:12And I forget that the whole like what I know generation X is like
- 32:17I think the 70s and mid 80s and I think millennials are right
- 32:20after that I believe. I think more what?
- 32:2385 to 95, I forget. They they say it's like 84.
- 32:27I think to like 99 is like OK that's.
- 32:30Right. But I've heard it's.
- 32:32I've heard other people say no, it goes all the way to 2000.
- 32:35It goes all the way back to 1979.
- 32:37I've heard, but I oh wow, I don't remember the year. 2000
- 32:41you know, like I'm like, I don't know, 12 years old and the Y2K,
- 32:45right? All that stuff, so right.
- 32:46Oh my gosh. Wow, that's amazing.
- 32:48Kind of right, right smack that in the middle of the millennial
- 32:50generation there. So.
- 32:52So how did you meet your lovely wife who was Filipina?
- 32:55How did you meet your lovely wife, Princess?
- 32:58Yeah. So we talked online as just like
- 33:01friends and she was in Jersey and and I'm right outside of
- 33:05Philly. So there's a bridge apart, You
- 33:07know, we talked for like a year or two and she wanted to learn
- 33:10English better. And so I'm like okay.
- 33:12Well, I'll help you with your pronunciation and just help you
- 33:15with English and. The first time, you know,
- 33:17because it was just through, like, messaging.
- 33:18Like chat rooms were like really big.
- 33:20And, you know, like social media was like huge.
- 33:23Then, not as much Now for me, it's almost like overwhelming.
- 33:27But like, then it was like kind of cool because it was like
- 33:29brand new, you know what I mean? And so I remember the first time
- 33:34I talked with her on the phone. I just like, I melted when I
- 33:36heard her voice when she was trying to pronounce things.
- 33:38I'm like, you got the cutest voice I've ever heard in my
- 33:40life, so. This is, this is great.
- 33:43I'll help you. And we just talked for probably
- 33:45like a year or two, just as basic friends like let's just, I
- 33:50want to learn about your culture.
- 33:52And she wanted to learn about America because she was newer to
- 33:54America at the time. And I remember when my
- 33:58grandfather died and he was like the head of the family.
- 34:02I mean our family like slowly got ripped apart as all these
- 34:04years went on. But he was kind of like a glue,
- 34:07like he did Sunday dinners. Like everybody would go there on
- 34:10Sunday and he would cook a big meal like every weekend.
- 34:12So that was cool. But he passes away and I get a
- 34:17FaceTime call from Princess my my wife now and you know, she's
- 34:22wearing all black and she's like, yeah, I guess she had she
- 34:26had found out through maybe Facebook at the time that he
- 34:28passed and she's just like, I was hoping you were okay.
- 34:31I wanted to check on you and I'm like, I'm good.
- 34:33I just don't really feel like talking.
- 34:34And like I noticed throughout like a, it was probably like a
- 34:37week or two. Every time she would reach out
- 34:40to me or that I would even check like social media at all, she
- 34:43had a picture. She was dressed in all black.
- 34:44I'm like, so I asked her, I'm like, what's going on here?
- 34:49Like, like, what does that mean? She's like, well, that's how we
- 34:51mourn for somebody that we care about.
- 34:54So we we dress in all black after somebody that our heart is
- 34:57for and they have a devastating loss, whether it be a job or
- 35:00family member. It was like a cultural thing.
- 35:02So she was expressing it, but never like.
- 35:05Hey, I'm doing this like, she just did it.
- 35:07And like, it didn't matter if I knew it or not, She actually was
- 35:09just mourning for me. So I'm like, you're amazing.
- 35:14Like like, we're going to go get a meal together.
- 35:16So we went and got a meal, we meet up, and the first time I
- 35:19laid, I was on her at a vision of marrying her.
- 35:22Well. I mean, I seen her in a wedding
- 35:24dress and she was smiling at me and I knew I was the groomsman.
- 35:27So I'm like, that's awesome. This is crazy.
- 35:30I'm like, OK, so yeah, now. Seven years of marriage?
- 35:36Oh, that's awesome. Seven years of wonderful wedded
- 35:41bliss And and So what? So you so you met her nine years
- 35:46ago then or eight years ago? Oh, that's.
- 35:49And it was online, did you say? Yep.
- 35:52And I'm sorry, what was the what was the platform?
- 35:54Was it Facebook or? Yeah, it was.
- 35:56It was Facebook like. Was probably like a messenger
- 36:00group or like the social media of some sort.
- 36:02Yeah. I mean, we connected on like
- 36:04Facebook. Like we talked for like 2 years
- 36:06on Facebook at the time. So, oh, that's wonderful.
- 36:10Does she share this, the same Christian faith as you?
- 36:13Yeah. Is she more Catholic?
- 36:14There was. She's from the Philippines,
- 36:16which is the only Christian nation in the Far East, but
- 36:18they're like Catholic. It's like a lot Catholicism
- 36:21there. They're surrounded by obviously
- 36:23like Buddhists and and Muslim nations and stuff like that.
- 36:26So she understood. You know, like the principles of
- 36:31like, because where I'm at in my faith walk at the time, it's
- 36:33like I didn't know a lot about the Bible or like what was going
- 36:38to happen in my life following after Christ.
- 36:41But like, we both knew Jesus Christ was Lord.
- 36:43We both knew that's the name above all names.
- 36:46Like there's no way getting around that one.
- 36:49But she came from like a Catholic background and then she
- 36:52had a lot of missionaries coming to her country when she was
- 36:54growing up. So there was some religious
- 36:55confusion there. You know, she had seen Mormons
- 36:57come through. She had seen all these different
- 37:00groups come through. And everybody's like, no, we're
- 37:02right. We're going to baptize you.
- 37:03So, like, these people just come through every year or two into
- 37:05these villages over there and like, you know, hook people up
- 37:08with some clothes and baptize them and they're like the fresh,
- 37:10new cool religious thing. And then they disappear.
- 37:13And then a year later, you know, you get these other groups.
- 37:15So there was, there was some confusion there in it.
- 37:18And I think a lot for me and her was really just taking that
- 37:21journey together of like, well, let's.
- 37:23Let's read the word and let's walk this thing out.
- 37:27You know what I mean? So, but yeah, she's a Christian,
- 37:29obviously. Yeah.
- 37:30But I think we've both grown a lot since since 9, almost 10
- 37:34years ago together. Wow.
- 37:38And you have a a lovely son, Adam, and he is 6 years old.
- 37:41Is that right? Yeah.
- 37:42Okay. Well, that's wonderful.
- 37:45That's that's a huge blessing. It's amazing how the Lord can
- 37:47bring people together through the Internet.
- 37:49I met my husband through the Internet as well and I have,
- 37:53that's my story, of course. But So what would you say was
- 37:59like the main thing that like caused you to like really like I
- 38:08guess become like a red pilled Christian cuz I mean there's
- 38:10there's Christians that are quote blue pilled or or people
- 38:13that kind of don't believe the way we do that believe the
- 38:17mainstream narrative on the news.
- 38:19And then there's the red pilled Christians who they believe in
- 38:23alternative narrative of history I guess.
- 38:27So what caused you to to kind of like switch gears?
- 38:31Well, I'll share two things real quick and then I'm going to ask
- 38:33you some questions. Sure.
- 38:35Absolutely. So with with regards to my wife
- 38:40contributing to, well, let me back up a little bit and I'll
- 38:42share. I've had supernatural
- 38:44experiences throughout my life, so like, I didn't know where to
- 38:48go with that. Once I started reading the word,
- 38:50I found out that's not. Uncommon in the word like when
- 38:56you you're seeking God and you have a calling in your life and
- 38:58you're actually willing to go there and acknowledge you know
- 39:03the name above all names and you're willing to actually say I
- 39:06am going to a lot this space instead of going out and
- 39:08partying, instead of focusing on this or watching movies or
- 39:10playing video games, I am going to dive into the word you start
- 39:14to find well, it's it's almost like a part of that journey.
- 39:18Like it should almost look. And I'm not saying like, alien
- 39:22spaceships, little green men, listen, I mean that stuff.
- 39:25I know that stuff happens. But what I'll say is, like, when
- 39:27I say supernatural, I mean even just dreams or just just having
- 39:32a prophetic word, like knowing like this this is going to come
- 39:36to pass. And then God confirming it
- 39:38through somebody else when you never spoke it out loud.
- 39:40And then it happens, and then you find yourself praising God
- 39:43and you just feel filled up. That's supernatural for me, too.
- 39:46I'm not. When I say supernatural, I don't
- 39:48just mean like. Bigfoot.
- 39:50Like, yeah, I believe that that fits in there too.
- 39:52But so, so, like, I'm riddled with all of these supernatural
- 39:55things happening. And that's the reason why I just
- 39:57wanted to limit it, because I don't want to go down too many
- 39:59rabbit trails and start talking about all of it right now.
- 40:02But with my wife, one of the contributing turning points was
- 40:06here I have my wife. You know, we are Marriage is the
- 40:10highest honored relationship outside of our relationship of
- 40:13God. So as like, we are growing and,
- 40:16you know, we're talking and just getting to know each other
- 40:18better, I noticed that she would talk about her childhood and
- 40:21things she experienced and seen. And it was no, it wasn't without
- 40:26memes. It was without jokes.
- 40:27It was like literally these these creatures exist and their
- 40:31culture is not just folklore and like seeing.
- 40:34And I would ask, well, why don't, why don't you want to
- 40:37talk about it with anybody else? And she would say because you
- 40:39guys would make you Americans would make fun of us for this.
- 40:43And I'm like, well, probably, yeah, because I get a hard time
- 40:47too. So like, yeah, you're a
- 40:48foreigner with an accent. They'll probably really shake
- 40:50you down for it, right? But then she says, no, no, no,
- 40:54your culture. You guys play video games about
- 40:57this. You watch movies about it.
- 40:59You read, you know, made-up stories about it.
- 41:02You sit around at campfires and do your little marshmallows and
- 41:05tell these creepy little stories.
- 41:07But she says we live that overseas.
- 41:09Like, we don't go outside in the dark.
- 41:11Our prayers are warfare, battle prayers to protect us.
- 41:14Because literally, you know, stuff happens and she's like,
- 41:17you guys don't get that here. And that like, hit me so hard
- 41:21because, like, here's my beautiful little wife, you know,
- 41:24later night we're talking. And she's dropping tears as
- 41:26she's pouring her heart out to me about how uncomfortable it is
- 41:30for for her and people like her to be able to try to talk about
- 41:33this stuff. Because we're just like we're
- 41:36too like just too fake is modern day Babylon, which is too fake.
- 41:40We just go, go, go. Unless we can make money on that
- 41:43story, we don't want to hear it. Like, like that's this
- 41:45mentality. And I'm like that's disgusting.
- 41:47But it layered me deeper into like there's no microphone on
- 41:51the she has nothing. She's not making this up.
- 41:55She has nothing to do from it. If anything, she would be
- 41:57putting herself at risk for me to be, like questioned her
- 42:00culture or be like, no, I don't want to travel to your country.
- 42:03Or you know what I mean? Like, she's actually at risk of
- 42:06loss and if she says it too loud, at risk of loss of
- 42:10reputation locally, you know, within family and within
- 42:13whatever you want to call it. So like, once she started to
- 42:16help me realize, like, honey, we don't laugh about this.
- 42:18Like, we don't go outside after dark.
- 42:20Like, this is very serious to us.
- 42:22You walk this way, you be careful what you talk about.
- 42:24Like, you always, Right. And it was just like, I'm like,
- 42:27man, that's not an American thing.
- 42:29Like Americans are. Like, that's a whole.
- 42:31So I became culturally, I started to shift and understand
- 42:36and that that was a a really big solidifying point because then
- 42:39it helped me to, like, not be so afraid to dive into things I
- 42:42experienced and be like, well, you know what?
- 42:43I'm not going crazy. Like I have all these notes out
- 42:47of things I experienced. You know, like, I know this
- 42:49stuff happened, but like, I always kind of wanted to put it
- 42:52away because it wasn't, it wasn't cool or like acceptable
- 42:55at the time. It was like, like you.
- 42:58It just didn't fit in. So I always felt like, put it on
- 43:00the back burner because I don't know how to unpack it.
- 43:03But like, my wife was a big part of me having the confidence just
- 43:06to be like, you know what? I got to run through and wash
- 43:08all of this against the word of God and just not be bold,
- 43:12understand it all. So is my daughter when she's 3,
- 43:141/2 years older than my wife, these two magnificent women, You
- 43:20know that that really helped and these pivotal points in my life
- 43:25to just really be like, no, you know, trust your gut, trust your
- 43:29story, trust the word of God above all and be careful with
- 43:34these things. So that was a big turning point
- 43:37for me, Her specifically so. That's amazing.
- 43:43You know, I don't want to say my friend's name, but his wife is
- 43:47Filipina at one of our Christian podcast friends and I'm not sure
- 43:51if I should say his name because I didn't ask him because it's
- 43:54his story and it's his wife's story.
- 43:56But I he's such a. Great guy, that.
- 43:59I have a feeling that he wouldn't mind, but just to to
- 44:01make 100% sure he's going to be anonymous.
- 44:03But, but actually what your wife is saying to you and her
- 44:08experiences resemble sort of what.
- 44:12Our other, our mutual friend's wife said and I I actually met
- 44:17them both and I I said please, please come both of you on my
- 44:20show and share your experience, you know.
- 44:23And then she says, Oh no, I'm not into you know, and she's
- 44:25definitely not into podcasting or whatever.
- 44:27And she feels shy about it. So now I understand the the
- 44:30cultural context of it, that she has everything to lose because
- 44:35she's talking to an American audience.
- 44:37And if American people around her get wins, they might think
- 44:41that she's. Or something.
- 44:42But, but, but that's the total opposite.
- 44:45You know, we're the ones that are cuckoo because we have
- 44:48totally blinded ourself. Yeah, we've blinded ourself to
- 44:52this other reality. You know we if somebody says
- 44:55that. You know, they're seeing things
- 44:57or hearing things that are supernormal, supernatural, that,
- 45:01you know, we give them drugs and medication.
- 45:03We put them into an insane asylum and to get locked up
- 45:07where is over there in the Philippines and and among the
- 45:11red pilled Christians or the OR the at least the people that are
- 45:14open to the supernatural reality, we realize that there
- 45:16is that other dimension that we can't see unless God.
- 45:21Takes the veil off and then we we see that dimension.
- 45:24Obviously that happened for you when you had your auto body
- 45:26experience as a kid. It happened to your lovely
- 45:29daughter and it has happened to your wife in the Philippines.
- 45:34You know, it was interesting. I had this dream.
- 45:36I feel like I should share this. I had this dream when I was
- 45:39probably like maybe 10 years ago and.
- 45:44And it was just a very, very quick dream.
- 45:47I had this dream that I was in Mexico and it was at night time
- 45:51and I was walking around the street.
- 45:53I've never been to Mexico, Okay. And but they were saying you
- 45:59know hey you, you get you get into the house get into the
- 46:02house. You know the the Chupacabra is
- 46:05is running around or whatever. You know and I'm like what?
- 46:07Huh. What do you mean?
- 46:08And so I so everybody ran into the house and I saw this
- 46:11creature walk by. This is way before blurry
- 46:14creatures. This is way before I became Red
- 46:15Pill. Probably like in 2006, I had
- 46:17this dream. So this, this big evil creature
- 46:21monster would would walk by the streets, right?
- 46:24And I never forgot that dream because I'm like, okay, why on
- 46:27earth did I have a dream I was in Mexico, I've never been
- 46:29there. And why would I have a dream
- 46:31that that everybody was getting into the house while this
- 46:33strange creature was was walking down the road.
- 46:36And I have a feeling that maybe that's something that happens in
- 46:40the Philippines where they, like you said that they don't leave
- 46:42their house. But anyway, so our our mutual
- 46:45friend's wife said something to those effects.
- 46:47She didn't talk about the little.
- 46:48People, but she talked about this supernatural dog like a
- 46:52food dog or whatever that would appear to her her, I think her
- 46:57grandmother or grandfather was a shaman or something like that.
- 47:00And it would this dog would appear and and they would do
- 47:03this incantation or whatever and then the food, food would
- 47:06supernaturally rise from the pot.
- 47:09And it was it was not Christian, it was it was witchcraft.
- 47:14So there was that it. And the some other stories I
- 47:18forget, but I don't doubt that this other Filipino wife I I'm
- 47:23sure that she probably has had experiences with with little
- 47:26people. Oh, and another thing she said
- 47:28was that portals, like some people would just escape into
- 47:31portals and they won't, might not be seen for a few months and
- 47:34all of a sudden they're they're there and they have these, this
- 47:37memory of being in this other reality.
- 47:40And I'm like my mind is totally blown because like you said in
- 47:44America, we hardly ever embrace that.
- 47:46And when we do, when, when that happens to us, you try to tell
- 47:50your pastor, not not all pastors, but but I think there's
- 47:53some pastors that are 90% of them don't want to hear it.
- 47:56But yeah, some of them are willing to be like, OK, what's
- 47:58going on, you know? Right, right.
- 48:00I think that there's that there's there's a growing number
- 48:03of pastors that are open to this.
- 48:04But back in the day, you know, when we're growing up, you tell
- 48:07somebody, you know, they're looking at you like like you
- 48:09know you're at. Mine or whatever.
- 48:12But yeah I totally I I think those are beautiful stories.
- 48:16When you're out you're out of body experience that maybe the
- 48:18Lord took you out and maybe showed you maybe that you have a
- 48:22spiritual body and and definitely showed showed your
- 48:25daughter holy angels and to comfort you to bring you to the
- 48:29knowledge of God for when you were in court.
- 48:32So that that's awesome that that's amazing.
- 48:34So I do have to apologize Ron to you because we try to.
- 48:39I was on Ron. Like 3 months ago and I yammered
- 48:42on and on and on about my testimonial and I promised Ron
- 48:46that that I would make it concise and to the point and not
- 48:50put all this extraneous information in there.
- 48:52So. So I wanna also share, share my
- 48:54story. And you said, Ron, that you had
- 48:56some questions for me too. Yeah, absolutely.
- 48:59And and I was so captivated by your story when you were on.
- 49:03I was like, I sat there and was just, I took that emotional ride
- 49:06with you. I'm an empathy in a lot of ways.
- 49:08So like, when I really want to care and listen, I will like,
- 49:11put everything else out of mind and focus in.
- 49:13And then I'll feel like, you know, just like, ah, I'm taking
- 49:17this ride with this person's story.
- 49:18So, but but I'm going to ask you what kind of come close to what
- 49:22you were asking me in a sense. But like, what was the defining
- 49:25point where you came to Christ and you realize, like, I'm all
- 49:29in for him? Like there's no nothing for me
- 49:32over there. Like, when did you make that
- 49:33choice to rock it out with Christ?
- 49:37Sure, sure. Well, I would have to say that
- 49:42there were a lot of things that happened to me growing up that
- 49:47made me really doubt the efficacy of the religion I grew
- 49:53up with, which was Buddhism. Because I didn't see any
- 49:56redemptive value in it. I'm not saying that that all
- 50:00Buddhists, you know, are like this or whatever, but the
- 50:02religion or anything like that. I mean, I love Buddhist people.
- 50:05I just, I'm like, I don't believe in the religion because
- 50:10I I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth of the life.
- 50:13No man comes to the Father, no one goes to heaven but by him,
- 50:16and there's no other name under heaven by which we must be
- 50:19saved. So, so in a nutshell.
- 50:23My, my dad and and mom were immigrants from Thailand and
- 50:27they moved to from from Thailand to California because their
- 50:32typhoon had moved to Southern California by Compton, actually.
- 50:36So it was a very, very modest home.
- 50:39And they were, they were totally in a culture shock because they
- 50:43went from, you know, kind of, you know, sort of city life, you
- 50:46know, but no gangs or anything like that to like, you know,
- 50:49there's like. You know right next to gangland
- 50:51right there and and although it wasn't as bad in the 70s you
- 50:55know but but my my dad and my mom were in like culture shock
- 50:58but my dad kind of blended in by going to goatee and things like
- 51:01that and and he's kind of trying to blend in you know to to the
- 51:06the the Mexican people over there and such and and my but my
- 51:11mother had a a hard time so my my dad had had moved to
- 51:14California because he had gotten an architectural job there and
- 51:18he had gotten his architectural. From the university of Thailand
- 51:22and so that's the main reason why he was able to to to move
- 51:26around and so he wanted to be a beginning draftsman over there
- 51:30And so while while he was assimilating into the culture
- 51:33with the language and the friends from work and things
- 51:36like that. My mother was not and she was
- 51:39having a hard time with the the assimilating into the culture
- 51:42and the language and and not making a whole lot of friends
- 51:44and she felt very depressed after she had, she had me, she
- 51:47had postpartum depression and so unfortunately.
- 51:50My mother had a lot of mental illness when I was probably
- 51:54starting at age 5 or 6 and so unfortunately I saw her go in
- 51:58and out of of mental episodes unfortunately.
- 52:02And so my my parents had separated when I was 8 and my my
- 52:08mom lived in Thailand when my dad was here, but I was raised
- 52:11as an American girl from age 0 to, you know, anyway, but so.
- 52:19My dad and I got along really, really well from age 8 to 12.
- 52:22Like he was my best friend. He was my pal.
- 52:24He was the only one I had, basically.
- 52:26But my gosh, when I was age 12, I got into a lot of occult
- 52:30stuff. Like I know a lot of Christians
- 52:32or just people in general don't think there's anything wrong
- 52:35with horoscopes and astrology, but.
- 52:38But I was like really obsessed with it and I would read it
- 52:41every day and follow follow it to the T and and I felt like I I
- 52:46let the enemy in. I I really felt like at some
- 52:50point that it was that an evil spirit had come in and and I
- 52:54know that for sure because the there was a book called Demons
- 52:59in the World Today by Doctor Merrill F Unger and.
- 53:03The page that I had opened up to was about demons and fortune
- 53:06telling, but that that's a little bit further down the
- 53:08road. But but when I was 12, I really
- 53:11got into the dabbling into the cult with astrology and
- 53:15numerology and things like that. And there's nothing wrong with
- 53:18biblical astrology or even biblical numerology, but the but
- 53:22Satan can twist everything. And so I really felt at that
- 53:27point that the enemy had gotten a foothold in my life through
- 53:30that, even though it was just a little, a little small, little
- 53:32pinprick. Of of interest in the occult and
- 53:37also there's a possibility that whatever spirits that were
- 53:42causing my mother's mental illness, and yes, I do believe
- 53:46that mental illness can be organic, but it can also be
- 53:48spiritual too. So I believe that whatever
- 53:50spirits that maybe was in my family bloodline was was
- 53:54oppressing me plus the involvement of the occult and
- 53:56things like that. So I became.
- 53:58With I had. Dad's Selfesteem was suicidal
- 54:05and depressed, I would say from age 1213 and 14 and and then my
- 54:09dad and I would argue and, you know, and really got into a lot
- 54:15of verbal fisticuffs and things like that because I I wanted to
- 54:18break away from his paternal instincts or what have you.
- 54:24But I remember feeling that sense of hopelessness one time
- 54:26when I was 13, just crying. My dad and I had gotten into the
- 54:31argument. Because I wanted to be this
- 54:34rebellious American girl and I was sticking out of my window
- 54:37and and meeting friends and things like that, you know, And
- 54:40that was definitely not something that he grew up with
- 54:42like. So my dad, my dad was you know,
- 54:46old like traditional like, you know, you went to school and you
- 54:49went, you pleased your parents, you did your chores, you went to
- 54:52sleep, you know, rinse, repeat. And with me as an American girl,
- 54:56I wanted to have friends and I wanted to dress pretty, you
- 54:59know, with the the right makeup and earrings and and.
- 55:02And and clothing and things like that.
- 55:04So that caused, you know, kind of a rift between us.
- 55:08And so I became rebellious, like I said, sneaking out the window
- 55:12to meet, you know, friends and what have you.
- 55:14And I remember we got to an argument and I and, you know, it
- 55:18was really a sharp argument. And I remember my, my friend and
- 55:22my friend's mom was there and I just started crying and I
- 55:25started weeping in my hands, like, what's the meaning of
- 55:28life? I don't understand why I was
- 55:30born, you know? And I know it sounds.
- 55:32Ridiculous now, but I mean I was really in in my heart of hearts
- 55:36I was crying and weeping out of sorrow that you can't believe
- 55:41just because. And my mom had already died.
- 55:44She had committed suicide unfortunately when I was 12.
- 55:48So it was like a year after she had committed suicide that.
- 55:53You know, I was also questioning the meaning of life, you know,
- 55:56and in the things I was, I was telling you about the low self
- 55:58esteem and the involvement in the occult.
- 56:01And then and then who knows, maybe those, those same spirits
- 56:03that you know had had influenced my mother to commit suicide.
- 56:07We're also trying to drag me down, you know, And so a year,
- 56:12so that was, I remember asking myself that question, Why am I
- 56:16alive? Why am I alive and crying?
- 56:19And then in I remember 87. To December of 87 and I remember
- 56:24this date because there were some Gideons that went to the
- 56:28the school bus when I was 14 and they they were handing it to the
- 56:34the kids on the school bus and they were freshmen all the way
- 56:36up to seniors on the bus. And I remember, you know, I
- 56:39don't know about Philly, but it it.
- 56:42I don't know how they're, how receptive they are to the Bible
- 56:46or or Christianity or whatever. It might be the same as
- 56:49California. But there there was a lot of
- 56:50kids that were would take the Bible and and like start ripping
- 56:53up pages, you know, like some of the bratty kids in the back
- 56:56ripping out pages of lighting it on fire.
- 56:59But I I took the little Bible and and I I brought it home with
- 57:02me. And I remember in the back there
- 57:04was a place to write your name. And I.
- 57:06So I put, I put Geralyn Cowie Wong.
- 57:08I go, OK, well, I'm going to write my name, you know, because
- 57:11it's my, it's my little. Bible and but I remember also
- 57:14getting another Bible from this Thai Presbyterian Church that
- 57:19that was friends with my my late mom and dad.
- 57:22So. So that's Thai Presbyterian
- 57:24minister. Had had officiated the funeral
- 57:29for my mom which is very heartbreaking to to know that
- 57:33she was in so much pain and turmoil and agony that that she
- 57:36committed suicide and my heart was broken my my dad's heart was
- 57:41broken. But it almost seems like I
- 57:44turned that sadness to to anger and rebelliousness towards my
- 57:48dad and and and that was, I would say that was the turning
- 57:53point, right there was. I was, I was depressed.
- 57:57I was angry. I was suicidal and and I
- 58:01remember that in my freshman year I was, I think I was May of
- 58:0688 and I was 15 and I'm sorry I was just about turned 15 and or
- 58:13maybe I was already 15, sorry I was already 15, yes.
- 58:16And in May of 88, and there was this boy in front of me sitting
- 58:21in my freshman class in my theater arts class.
- 58:24And he had this book that was called Demons in the World Today
- 58:28by doctor Marila Funger. And And I said, hey, can I
- 58:32borrow that? Because it had this, this.
- 58:34I was in the horror movies too. So the cover of it was a picture
- 58:38of a woman sitting at a table really solemnly.
- 58:42And there and behind her, was an apparition of her husband.
- 58:45And that's what piqued my interest.
- 58:48And and I said, oh, it looks like a ghost book because I was
- 58:50really into, you know, reading and watching The Amityville
- 58:53Horror, you know, The Shining and things like that.
- 58:55You know, don't watch those movies by the way, folks,
- 58:58really, you know, demonic evil movies and what have you.
- 59:01But anyway, but the Lord actually used that to pique my
- 59:04interest in this book because it had this, the spooky cover.
- 59:07And I say, hey, can I borrow that?
- 59:09And. Is that sure?
- 59:11And so I opened it up and the the chapter that it opened up to
- 59:16was demons and fortune telling. And it said that those who are
- 59:20in into the occult such as astrology, numerology and
- 59:24psychic stuff and other type of divinational practices open the
- 59:31door to to demon experience. I know that sounds ridiculous to
- 59:35a lot of people, even Christians, which is.
- 59:39Really sad because Christians are supposed to believe in the
- 59:41supernatural. But I it just it was that was
- 59:44the defining moment that that God really spoke to my heart.
- 59:47And I I started weeping tears of joy.
- 59:50And the next several months after that, people would say,
- 59:53Jerry, I don't know what happened to you, but you've
- 59:55changed. I mean, I don't know if I at
- 59:57that point. I I wasn't like a full-fledged
- 1:00:00Christian yet, but kind of like you went through sort of these
- 1:00:02different phases like black to Gray into white.
- 1:00:05So that at that point was like my Gray phase because I I cried
- 1:00:08out to God and I said God, I I cried.
- 1:00:11I said I didn't know what was wrong.
- 1:00:13Forgive me. I I didn't know what was wrong
- 1:00:15God. But then I wasn't sure who God
- 1:00:17was. Was that Jesus was that, you
- 1:00:20know? And I wasn't sure, you know.
- 1:00:22Who God was but I just knew I just knew that it was it was God
- 1:00:26that that I needed to have a relationship with.
- 1:00:31But but later on a year a year later after that my friend
- 1:00:35invited me to church mid-september of 89 and that's
- 1:00:40when I prayed this in his prayer and and realized that Jesus was
- 1:00:43God and the only way to God and and I received Jesus in my heart
- 1:00:47at that at that moment there and I I wish I could say that it was
- 1:00:52all Peaches and roses after that but it wasn't it had lots of
- 1:00:56hills and valleys ups and downs. But overall the the Lord I don't
- 1:01:02know for some reason I have I think of this analogy of a cat
- 1:01:04being dropped off being dropped off from a roof that the cat
- 1:01:08lands on his feet. Well I feel like I'm that cat
- 1:01:11and and the only reason why I landed on my feet was because of
- 1:01:13Jesus was because of God because I had made some stupid mistakes.
- 1:01:17I know you had made some mistakes before you got saved.
- 1:01:21I made them after I got saved. Oh, no, I made them.
- 1:01:25I made them after too. Oh, OK, you did before.
- 1:01:27No, it wasn't. All right.
- 1:01:28Yeah it's a long drawn out story.
- 1:01:30Me too. Me too and and you know that
- 1:01:34that I went on and on about about all the details and stuff
- 1:01:36like that and and our audience for the sake of brevity probably
- 1:01:39doesn't want to listen to all the little sort of details of of
- 1:01:42our mistakes. But to make a Long story short,
- 1:01:46I finally I would say I I I did have definitely, I had
- 1:01:52definitely the conversion experience from from darkness to
- 1:01:55light. But then I kind of went back to
- 1:01:58my old ways and the Bible says that that if if a demon leaves
- 1:02:04its home and it calls you your your soul, it's home.
- 1:02:07If a demon leaves its home and and wanders around trying to
- 1:02:13find another home but then he gets this idea aha, I'll go back
- 1:02:18to the home from originally that that I came back and sees that
- 1:02:22it's swept and an empty it brings back seven other worse
- 1:02:26spirits than itself. So if you if you come to know
- 1:02:30the Lord and you backslide then the the the last day your your
- 1:02:36second condition can be worse than the first.
- 1:02:38So I feel like because I backslid that I allowed some
- 1:02:41things into my life that that that could have been avoidable.
- 1:02:46But but thank God, like I said, the the cat analogy, I felt like
- 1:02:50the Lord had, you know redeemed me.
- 1:02:53And and finally I I did. I got, I went through some dark
- 1:02:56times, very dark times from age 20 to 2728.
- 1:03:01But I met my my husband on the Internet as well.
- 1:03:05I put my profile on oneandonly.com and I had
- 1:03:10actually Internet dated 9899, 2002, 1001 and so.
- 1:03:14So February of 2001, my husband, I met and it was a couple of
- 1:03:19dates and I kind of shrugged him off because I because he was
- 1:03:24fairly introverted and I'm very extroverted and I'm like, oh,
- 1:03:27he's too shy for me. I'm like, yeah, I forget it, you
- 1:03:29know, Like I just, I just don't ever break up with somebody via
- 1:03:32text message or e-mail. And I I sent him a message via
- 1:03:36e-mail saying, you know, look, you're a wonderful guy, but I'm
- 1:03:39sorry. I don't think there's chemistry.
- 1:03:41Right. But then but then a few months
- 1:03:43later in June or July, the Lord really started working on my
- 1:03:46heart and I started thinking of how wonderful he was and is and
- 1:03:51and how he has these awesome. So with introverted people, they
- 1:03:57they do have a self-discipline and he's very caring and sharing
- 1:04:03and just really has this really calm and stable spirit about
- 1:04:09him. And that's something that I need
- 1:04:11and that's something that I needed then and still need now
- 1:04:14And as you can see. And so anyway, so I called him
- 1:04:18up in July of O One. I think it was it was a little
- 1:04:22after the 4th of July in 2001 and I I called him up and I'm
- 1:04:28like, hey, do you want to go out again.
- 1:04:29And and then we we started redating I guess.
- 1:04:32So we've been together ever since nonstop since July of 01
- 1:04:36and and again it hasn't it's it hasn't been a smooth ride
- 1:04:40sometimes but there's there's been times where it was like
- 1:04:42really smooth sailing and then there's been other times where
- 1:04:45it was like really rough waters. But he's a wonderful Christian
- 1:04:49husband and I'm so glad we met and we celebrated our twenty
- 1:04:52year anniversary in June 28th and and that's totally by the
- 1:04:57hand of the Lord. And of course we you know we
- 1:05:00loved each other. We do still love each other and
- 1:05:03it it's amazing how like God can bring you somebody but then he
- 1:05:07also wants you to love that person.
- 1:05:10Like he wouldn't bring you somebody that you weren't
- 1:05:12attracted to you. He wouldn't bring you somebody
- 1:05:14who you wouldn't love. So it was like it was it's both
- 1:05:17I think so I think that right person is, is God's will.
- 1:05:21Plus you also have to fall in love with that person too.
- 1:05:23And of course continue loving that person through the the help
- 1:05:26of of the Holy Spirit. You know, to give us that agape
- 1:05:29love for that person you know, not just the passion you know,
- 1:05:32let. Me ask you a question here, So
- 1:05:34like during that whole period of time, I know you talked about
- 1:05:37like you know from like 20 to like 27 it kind of being like
- 1:05:40bumpy and what? Did you have supernatural
- 1:05:44experiences during that time, like one or two that really
- 1:05:48sticks out to you? And after you came to the Lord,
- 1:05:52like did it feel like there was restriction almost as to like
- 1:05:57the supernatural stuff that was going on was trying to keep you
- 1:05:59from growing and finding a deeper relationship with him?
- 1:06:03Just elaborate on that a little bit.
- 1:06:05I'm curious to hear. Sure.
- 1:06:07I'm sorry I didn't talk about my supernatural experiences.
- 1:06:13So when I had actually rewind a little bit to my first
- 1:06:16supernatural experience. So when I was when like I was a
- 1:06:21month, a month or two after I had started going to church and
- 1:06:27I had gotten the sleep paralysis.
- 1:06:28So some people might know what sleep paralysis is, where if
- 1:06:31you're head to toe just totally paralyzed and you're asleep, but
- 1:06:35you wake up to this paralyzed condition and you can sense an
- 1:06:38evil presence doing this to you. So that happened to me and I and
- 1:06:43I the next the following Wednesday I went to youth group
- 1:06:47and I had told my my other Christian youth group friends
- 1:06:52and like, hey, could you pray for me?
- 1:06:54And they weren't Pentecostal or anything.
- 1:06:56They were just totally not a nominational and they all put a
- 1:06:59hand on my shoulder or my leg or something and they prayed and
- 1:07:02they rebuked it in Jesus name and it left.
- 1:07:05I did not get any paralysis until I was 20.
- 1:07:10So when I was 20, I started really, really growing in the
- 1:07:14Lord, like I was telling everybody about Jesus.
- 1:07:17And I unfortunately started getting the paralysis again and
- 1:07:25I felt like it was a reprisal for growing, like it wanted to
- 1:07:28stop me from really growing continuing to grow in the Lord.
- 1:07:33And unfortunately I I was married once before from age 20
- 1:07:37to 24 and and and it resulted in a divorce because my exhusband
- 1:07:41was verbally and mentally abusive and sometimes physically
- 1:07:44abusive. But during that that that time
- 1:07:49frame of 2024, lots of weird slash good and bad supernatural
- 1:07:55experiences because whatever spirits that were in my
- 1:07:58exhusband would come to try to attack me with sleep paralysis.
- 1:08:02Sometimes I get sleep paralysis four to six times a week, and I
- 1:08:05believe it was because the spirits inside him were, or
- 1:08:08around him were attacking me. I know that sounds strange, but
- 1:08:12but I believe that's what happened.
- 1:08:14And sometimes my exhusband would say crazy and weird and strange
- 1:08:18things to me. You know what?
- 1:08:20There was another one time when I I'd left them the first time
- 1:08:24he said that he was the devil himself.
- 1:08:26And he took his fists and he shattered his fists on this
- 1:08:30Victorian glass lamp and the glass lamp shattered into
- 1:08:33pieces. And it was only by the Lord that
- 1:08:34protected me. It could it could have lodged
- 1:08:36into my head or my eyes or whatever.
- 1:08:38So praise God that God protected me.
- 1:08:40But there was there was a good, interesting, supernatural
- 1:08:45experience. But I I had, oh by the way, I
- 1:08:48did have an out of body experience.
- 1:08:51So when a little bit. So when I was 20.
- 1:08:55So when I started growing stronger, the Lord, I I felt
- 1:09:00something come up to me and like kind of like jolt me awake.
- 1:09:06And I I had one of those lamps that were that if you touched
- 1:09:10the lamp, any part of the any part of the metallic lamp, it
- 1:09:15would turn on. And I remember thinking, okay,
- 1:09:18why isn't this lamp turning on? And like there's something we
- 1:09:21call this lamp, you know? And so then I'm like okay, I'm
- 1:09:25freaked out. I'm going to, I'm going to go to
- 1:09:27my dad's bedroom because he had two 2 twin beds.
- 1:09:32And so I just proceeded to walk towards my dad's bedroom.
- 1:09:37But instead I wasn't walking. My head was float.
- 1:09:41I was floating down the hallway. My head was hitting the ceiling.
- 1:09:45Not not physical, but I mean my head.
- 1:09:47I was floating down the hallway and my head, like was near the
- 1:09:50ceiling. And all of a sudden, like in an
- 1:09:53instant, I was back in my body and I go and I and I I touched
- 1:09:57the lamp and it turned on. So it was God.
- 1:10:01For some reason, the Lord allowed this demonic spirit to
- 1:10:04dislodge me from my body and to show me that there's a spiritual
- 1:10:09route. That that I have a spiritual
- 1:10:11body, evidently. But that was the last time that
- 1:10:14that when I had. That was the last time that I
- 1:10:18had the sleep paralysis episode where a spirit actually allowed
- 1:10:23me to like, leave my body. It was almost as if, I don't
- 1:10:27know. It was almost as if, like, you
- 1:10:30know, maybe that spirit was like reprimanded for allowing me to
- 1:10:33leave my body or something like that.
- 1:10:34I don't know. It was weird, but but then, like
- 1:10:37I've had sleep paralysis since then.
- 1:10:39But but I But I'd love to focus on the good.
- 1:10:43Too good, very wonderful, good supernatural experiences real
- 1:10:46quick. No, I was at a healing crusade,
- 1:10:51and I don't want to say this evangelist's name because I
- 1:10:54believe I might get Flack for it.
- 1:10:56But I was at, I was at. I'll tell you later, I was at
- 1:10:59this, this, this healing, prophetic evangelist crusade in
- 1:11:0595 and I went with my exhusband and the pastor and his wife and
- 1:11:11a few other people and this particular evangelist, I I don't
- 1:11:17know if he's totally right with God to be honest with you, but
- 1:11:20sometimes God can use someone who whose theology is a little
- 1:11:25off kilter or maybe their life isn't totally right, you know,
- 1:11:30but God sometimes can still use that person.
- 1:11:33So I was, I was at this crusade and and like thousands of people
- 1:11:37were in this arena in California or the California.
- 1:11:39And then he said, OK, everybody hold hands, you know, with with
- 1:11:44the person to your left and to your right.
- 1:11:46And then that he, it looked like he was throwing a Holy Spirit
- 1:11:48baseball. And he, he threw the Holy
- 1:11:52Spirit. I I know that sounds bizarre,
- 1:11:54but it. But it looked like he was
- 1:11:56throwing something at the audience, right.
- 1:11:57And then one by one, I see rows and rows and rows of people just
- 1:12:02fall back into their chairs. Boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 1:12:06And I'm like, that's fake. Finally it came to my row.
- 1:12:10I literally felt something push my sternum back and I I couldn't
- 1:12:15stand up and I I I fell back in my chair.
- 1:12:19So the big question is since this person's is a little off
- 1:12:23theologically, was that a demon or was that the Holy Spirit?
- 1:12:28I don't know. To this day I do believe it was
- 1:12:29the Holy Spirit cuz I did feel peace.
- 1:12:31But then of course you know we know that you know the the the
- 1:12:34demons could come as a as a the, you know, Angel of light.
- 1:12:37But I I do believe that it was the Holy Spirit.
- 1:12:41But then there's that 10% of my, you know, questioning like, what
- 1:12:45exactly was that? You know, So that was a good
- 1:12:47supernatural experience. And then Fast forward to 2015
- 1:12:52when I started podcasting. So Kay Carswell and I, she
- 1:12:56passed away and she went to be with the Lord.
- 1:12:58But so when Kay Carswell and I podcasted together doing
- 1:13:01deception detection radio, we we had talked about holy angels as
- 1:13:07well as evil angels. We talked about falling as well
- 1:13:10as holy angels. And so it was interesting that
- 1:13:15that like like a couple nights after that I I awoke to the
- 1:13:19sound of the most beautiful angelic song.
- 1:13:24It was not the IT was not the radio.
- 1:13:27It was a beautiful female angelic song.
- 1:13:31It was not the radio. It was not the TV.
- 1:13:33I just knew it was a holy Angel, just like your daughter knew
- 1:13:37what she saw was an Angel. And that was a very positive.
- 1:13:41Those were two very positive experiences.
- 1:13:43Well, the first one was like, not sure, you know, And the
- 1:13:45second one, totally, 100% knew that was that it was a holy
- 1:13:50Angel singing. And I know that in the Bible
- 1:13:54many times that holy angels manifest themselves as male, but
- 1:13:59I have to tell you that this was a female holy Angel and she was
- 1:14:02singing so and I was right with the Lord.
- 1:14:07So I can't, I can't imagine that it was something demonic cuz I
- 1:14:11really did feel the Lord. So those were the two very good
- 1:14:15supernatural experiences. But the rest are like, it's like
- 1:14:17why don't I have to be attacked every time?
- 1:14:20Like for doing this podcast, the enemy is probably going to
- 1:14:23attack me, you know, as a reprisal against, you know,
- 1:14:27getting the word of God out of there.
- 1:14:29Because our testimonials is what really defeats the enemy.
- 1:14:32As we know that the word of our testimonial and the blood of the
- 1:14:35lamb, the word of our testimonial, that that defeats
- 1:14:37the enemy and that really spreads.
- 1:14:39And I think a lot of like what you're saying is so important
- 1:14:42because I deal with that as well where it's like the.
- 1:14:45The battles, like some of the stuff that goes on to be able to
- 1:14:49do this show and to pray with people and and there's a lot of
- 1:14:51ministry that goes on where the left hand doesn't know what the
- 1:14:54right hand is doing. In my case, like I don't social
- 1:14:57media lies like put everything up on social media.
- 1:15:00I'm not on there every two or three hours doing updates.
- 1:15:02Like I'm just like we're called to do certain things and then
- 1:15:07there's a time and a place for the rest of it.
- 1:15:09But what the battles that actually take place?
- 1:15:14It is very interesting. It's very interesting.
- 1:15:16But the word is going to tell us the remedy, exactly what to do.
- 1:15:21Like we put on armor. And I don't mean like I'm going
- 1:15:24to imaginarily, spiritually put on.
- 1:15:26Like, I think when the helmet of salvation is being talked about
- 1:15:30in Ephesians, like repentance is a change of mind.
- 1:15:36Like, like in a change of direction.
- 1:15:37Like we, we wash and change our mind.
- 1:15:39So like if we're in that place of a change mind, like we are
- 1:15:43countering whatever battlefield of the mind, whatever the arrow
- 1:15:47with the enemy is coming against us, we're saying like, no, I am
- 1:15:51saved by the blood of Christ. Like he is working all of this
- 1:15:55together until the day of his his coming or I leave this
- 1:15:59earth. However, whatever, however this
- 1:16:01ends, he's going to work this out.
- 1:16:02And I think a lot of the times it's like people think it's like
- 1:16:05too lofty or too goofy, but like the reality is.
- 1:16:08We're all battling for a mental space of something or another.
- 1:16:11We're battling for attention. We're battling for the raise at
- 1:16:14work. We're battling for whatever it
- 1:16:15is, right? Oh, we want vacation.
- 1:16:17We need to make sure all this stuff is lined up.
- 1:16:20So it's like, well, what about battling for?
- 1:16:23Just like proverb says, so a man thinketh he is.
- 1:16:25If you think you're important, if you think that you're loved
- 1:16:27and you have value, well, most likely you're going to glow like
- 1:16:30you do. But but then beyond that, what
- 1:16:33is God actually? Does he delight in that?
- 1:16:36Well, he delights in faith. And the substance that was so
- 1:16:38far. So I just think what you're
- 1:16:39saying is important because a lot of the times we're like,
- 1:16:42well, I'm going to call this person and ask them to pray for
- 1:16:44me because I'm getting I'm under attack right now.
- 1:16:46I did this podcast episode or I'm praying for these people or
- 1:16:49this stuff is going on. God is calling me deeper into
- 1:16:52the these places where more responsibility, you know, just
- 1:16:55more whatever you want to call it, right?
- 1:16:58But The thing is, it's like God tells us we work out our
- 1:17:02salvation with fear and trembling.
- 1:17:03So that's the choice, like we have to say.
- 1:17:06I am strong and the Lord. I am a child of the king, right?
- 1:17:10I'm a friend of the king. Like if you don't like me or
- 1:17:12what I'm about or what I'm saying, you don't like him
- 1:17:15because there's nothing actually of me that's worth any value.
- 1:17:19Like okay testimony. That's cool, but but it's by the
- 1:17:21blood of the lamb. And it's it's by the blood of
- 1:17:24the lamb that I have a testimony because I wouldn't have one
- 1:17:27without him. And so the battle is so real and
- 1:17:32that's why I don't like. I hate trying to tell.
- 1:17:35My testimony of stories, because there's so much and I feel
- 1:17:38scatterbrained a lot of the time, like, I'm like, Oh my
- 1:17:40gosh, I got to try to line up or stick to just a portion of this.
- 1:17:45But I I also want to speak about what's edifying.
- 1:17:48So. So I love the fact that you
- 1:17:49just, you're transparent and you're you're willing to bring
- 1:17:52that up and actually say, you know what, Yeah, the battle is
- 1:17:55real. And then I think this is where
- 1:17:57the encouragement becomes more than just is more than a podcast
- 1:18:00right now is more than a podcast right now, because this is
- 1:18:04actually two people. Who are chasing after the Lord
- 1:18:07for what Our Calling is and what where he wants to lead us in the
- 1:18:10face of a battlefield like we are on a battlefield and the
- 1:18:14encouragement is real and his word is true.
- 1:18:17So I want to ask you, I think we'll we'll kind of move into to
- 1:18:20this it what what do you think the next step is like?
- 1:18:28Like for your ministry with the podcast.
- 1:18:29Like I know everything that you've been doing right and and
- 1:18:32you're reaching people and stuff like that.
- 1:18:34But has God like, worked with you in in in a space where he's
- 1:18:38starting to reveal to you I'm calling you to this or has he
- 1:18:40exposed any of what you would say, maybe what your gifts or or
- 1:18:44callings are? Is there anything's a great
- 1:18:47question, Sure. As a matter of fact, I thought
- 1:18:51that I should transition into that because that's probably
- 1:18:54what a lot of people want to know.
- 1:18:55How did we get into podcasting? What inspired us?
- 1:18:59And definitely was the Lord. So it's interesting.
- 1:19:04I would say that my desire to do public speaking was birthed way
- 1:19:09back, probably I would say maybe 15 years ago or something.
- 1:19:16And my my favorite saying to my husband was that I have so much
- 1:19:20to say but nobody will listen. So now people are listening like
- 1:19:25you find folks thank you for listening by the way or watching
- 1:19:28or both. So it's interesting that that
- 1:19:32when I started listening to podcasts such as Doc Marquis who
- 1:19:37went on to be with the Lord, he was an ex Illuminati ex warlock
- 1:19:42and who was became Christian. So I started listening to him.
- 1:19:45I started to listen to LA Marzily and a bunch of different
- 1:19:51you know red pilled you know Christian Supernatural type of
- 1:19:54podcasters. And I for some reason that a lot
- 1:19:57of them escape my my thinking right now actually sorry Canary
- 1:20:01car radio. So I I started listening to a
- 1:20:05lot of Christian paranormal, Christian Supernatural or red
- 1:20:10pill type of shows. The first one being Paratruth
- 1:20:13radio and there so around 2014 I.
- 1:20:22I'm sorry, let me rewind. Back in 2013 I was going.
- 1:20:25I was taking some classes for a degree Bachelor psychology
- 1:20:31degree for Liberty University. I just have an associate's.
- 1:20:34But I was trying to edge towards a bachelor's degree.
- 1:20:36But anyway, I had taken a Christian and cinematic arts
- 1:20:40class and one of my classmates, Eric from Paratruth Radio.
- 1:20:45He and I became friends in 2013 and became friends on Facebook.
- 1:20:49And then 2014, I saw that he and his friend, he and his cousin
- 1:20:52Justin had started, restarted, restarted a new podcast called
- 1:20:57Paratooth Radio. And they were veterans in
- 1:20:59podcasting before, like five years before or 10 years before
- 1:21:02even that. And and they're younger guys,
- 1:21:05so, so they're like super veterans.
- 1:21:07So they probably started in the early 20s or something like that
- 1:21:10doing podcasting, paranormal podcasting.
- 1:21:13And so I thought to myself, self, you should do a podcast
- 1:21:18one of these days. But I don't have the time.
- 1:21:20I work full time. I I don't have the time or the
- 1:21:23energy. I'm done at the end of the day.
- 1:21:25You know what? At the end of the day, you know,
- 1:21:285530, you know, I've, I've checked out, you know, and I go
- 1:21:32exercise and have dinner with my husband and bam, I'm going to
- 1:21:35sleep or or at that time I was going to school.
- 1:21:37I have no time. But then in 2015, another friend
- 1:21:41named Channing from the Full Fledge Radio.
- 1:21:44He invited me on his podcast on blogtalkradio.com.
- 1:21:48And I didn't need any of this equipment at all.
- 1:21:50No microphone, nothing. He just said to call on the
- 1:21:54phone, right? So I just started calling on my
- 1:21:57cell phone and one by one I started building up shows on his
- 1:22:04show, building up episodes on his show, the full-fledged
- 1:22:06radio. And then after I had a few shows
- 1:22:11under my belt, I'm like, this is lovely to do it by myself.
- 1:22:15So I prayed for the right Co host S and Kay Carnival came
- 1:22:20along and so I got her into podcasting.
- 1:22:21So she and I podcasted together and then we went our separate
- 1:22:25ways and she took the torch and and lit the world on fire with
- 1:22:29her podcast. And she has she and Kate, sorry.
- 1:22:33She and Chad Riley together for they did podcasting for 3 1/2
- 1:22:38years. I mean they did, they had, they
- 1:22:43had hundreds of episodes and I just knew that it was it was a
- 1:22:46God thing that I started her in podcast because that was
- 1:22:48something that she had always loved, which was paranormal
- 1:22:51radio starting when she was a little girl listening to Coast
- 1:22:54to Coast. But anyway, to answer your
- 1:22:56question, Fast forward to the present.
- 1:23:00I've been podcasting since 2015 and I had different names of
- 1:23:06Thai Girl for God Radio and Asian Grace Radio and in
- 1:23:12November of 21. So I was by myself in 2015 all
- 1:23:16the way to December 21. I I said Lauren, I I would
- 1:23:21really not. I'd really love to have a cohost
- 1:23:24again. And I I'd like a different, a
- 1:23:26different name. Please show me what I should
- 1:23:28name my new podcast name. Please give me a podcast name
- 1:23:31that's different and new and interesting.
- 1:23:33And so I was driving along, you know how And all of a sudden out
- 1:23:36of nowhere I felt the Lord say Strange o'clock.
- 1:23:40I'm like strange o'clock. That's really strange, right?
- 1:23:44And but I felt like that's what the Lord wanted me to call it is
- 1:23:48Strange o'clock podcast. And probably because you know to
- 1:23:52the world of us Christians are strange.
- 1:23:55And to the natural man, supernatural things are strange.
- 1:23:59So and of course they have stranger things, you know.
- 1:24:02And for some reason I felt like the Lord say name a stranger
- 1:24:05cloth podcast and to to contact Michael Basham did me by cohost
- 1:24:11and I felt like the Lord paired us up podcast wise because I'm
- 1:24:15more Asian on the outside and more American on the inside and
- 1:24:18he actually is more Asian on the inside and American on the
- 1:24:21outside because he spent 15 years in China as a missionary.
- 1:24:27And and so I felt like he he, you know, has that Asianness on
- 1:24:31the inside and I have it on the outside.
- 1:24:32So I felt like the Lord you know it has that had brought that
- 1:24:37combined you know experience together.
- 1:24:40You know that we could talk about stuff that's similar.
- 1:24:42We've had similar guests some of the same guests like Dan Duvall
- 1:24:46and some of there's a few others like maybe three or four of the
- 1:24:49same guests that we've had or that I've had before.
- 1:24:52And and so I think that there's that that need intersection of
- 1:24:56guests that we we both share rod and also with Michael and I we
- 1:25:01we both share several guests that I've had on my show and
- 1:25:05he's had. And so I guess the direction I
- 1:25:07felt like the Lord wants me to go in that I'm hesitant on is
- 1:25:11speaking what the Lord has shown me because I do a lot of kind of
- 1:25:15like at A at a rock concert. You know, when somebody like
- 1:25:17crowd surfs, you know, I'm like that person on the ground, you
- 1:25:20know, like holding up, you know, that other person crowd surfing.
- 1:25:23But I felt like God said saying, I want your voice whatever I'm
- 1:25:28speaking to you. And through you, I want your
- 1:25:31voice to be out there. And I'm like, oh, I'm sort of
- 1:25:34bashful and shy about it. You know what if somebody calls
- 1:25:37me a heretic or whatever. You know, because there's
- 1:25:39there's some people who who say, oh you know, you know God isn't
- 1:25:44doesn't give any new revelation these days.
- 1:25:47You know God isn't speaking through people these days.
- 1:25:49He's you know, if you want to hear from God you've got to just
- 1:25:51read the book the Bible aloud. And and yes, that is partially
- 1:25:55true. But I do believe that in the
- 1:25:57book of Acts when it says that these gifts are for your
- 1:25:59children and your children's children and those who are far
- 1:26:01off, we are those who are far off.
- 1:26:03The book of Acts never died. You know I'm I became a
- 1:26:08Pentecostal Christian when I was 20 and that's probably why the
- 1:26:10enemy was trying to suppress me and and I I do believe in
- 1:26:15healing and deliverance and tongues and what have you.
- 1:26:17I know some of you might disagree but that's okay.
- 1:26:20But it's not. Those things are not self
- 1:26:22effect. But I believe that it does
- 1:26:24bolster our faith and and we could be you really powerhouses
- 1:26:29for the Lord you know. But even if you if, even if you
- 1:26:31don't believe the same way the Lord you know still uses people
- 1:26:34that don't have those you know aren't operating in those things
- 1:26:38that I just mentioned. But I feel like the Lord wants
- 1:26:41me to to give words of knowledge and words of wisdom out to
- 1:26:45people. And I'm a little hesitant
- 1:26:47because I have some friends that are they're skilled in
- 1:26:51apologetics and they're skilled in exposing the false doctrine
- 1:26:57and everything. And I just, I guess I I
- 1:26:59shouldn't fear. But but I I get concerned that
- 1:27:01might be lumped into that if I if I say okay, I feel like
- 1:27:05somebody's listening right now that is struggling with you
- 1:27:11know, this and that sin or whatever.
- 1:27:14You know what I mean? You know, have ever seen those
- 1:27:15people on TV? I feel like God abuse us still,
- 1:27:18but I didn't hesitate because I have some friends that actually
- 1:27:21call those types of people heretics and I'm like, do I want
- 1:27:24to be labeled? Mislabeled.
- 1:27:27What you're saying is important because I think a lot of people
- 1:27:30were in the mind frame, but somebody said this to help me
- 1:27:34with that as well because I was in the similar boat where it's
- 1:27:37like. Well, I don't have all this
- 1:27:40figured out, and I'm hesitant on sharing even some of my own
- 1:27:43testimony because I haven't prayed about each snippet of it.
- 1:27:46I haven't brought it before the Lord and ask for clarity and
- 1:27:49everything. So I'm like, well, some of it is
- 1:27:52just for me, some of it is for edification purposes, right?
- 1:27:56But we have an audience of 1, so if we're in tune with God and
- 1:28:03he's, He's pricking our hearts or knocking on the door of our
- 1:28:07soul. Right.
- 1:28:09Hey, I want you to say this to them.
- 1:28:11God, I can't do that. They're not going to look right
- 1:28:14if if we're in that kind of dialogue just refocusing on we
- 1:28:18have an audience of 1. Like God is watching and we're
- 1:28:23we're a child to him. We we have value beyond beyond
- 1:28:28measures that we would use. Our templates don't don't come
- 1:28:31close to the value that God sees in us.
- 1:28:35I wish just like the Apostle Paul said that that we the
- 1:28:39Saints would know the length of depth of breath and the height
- 1:28:42and I believe that's multiple folded.
- 1:28:43I I believe that can be unpacked in in many ways and still be
- 1:28:46accurate. But what I would say to you,
- 1:28:49just as, you know, I see what you have put in like the The
- 1:28:53First Round Table episode, I was ever on that you were behind the
- 1:28:56scenes orchestrating that you were doing that.
- 1:28:58You had the heart to get people together.
- 1:29:01And God is using you in ways and it.
- 1:29:04And it's interesting because sometimes when we feel like
- 1:29:07we're just kind of sitting there and everybody's zooming around
- 1:29:11us or oh man, they just blew up this quick or that show just
- 1:29:14grew this fast or whatever. Well, God has a season for you
- 1:29:19and he has a calling for you and he has people for you to reach
- 1:29:22that they can't reach. And sometimes the wisdom from
- 1:29:26learning what maybe didn't work for those people who went too
- 1:29:29fast. Is going to be a part of the
- 1:29:31recipe that keeps you in it for the longer for like the the
- 1:29:35bigger stage or the OR the better stage, Like really
- 1:29:38helping sending up God's glory by being available, by being
- 1:29:43obedient and available to what he wants to do.
- 1:29:46And I see that with you, Peach. Like I see you have this heart
- 1:29:49to just recognize other people and to really just take.
- 1:29:52You know this place where it's like you're serving like in a
- 1:29:56place of just joy in your heart promoting other people and just
- 1:29:59not judging other people and really not wanting to be like
- 1:30:02lumped in with any one click in particular.
- 1:30:04I see this with you, I see your post, I listen to your podcast.
- 1:30:07We, you know, we've been in and out of communication since the
- 1:30:10round table that was that was done almost nine months ago I'd
- 1:30:13say at this point. But just remember you have an
- 1:30:17audience of 1 first and if he's pleased with it.
- 1:30:21He's the one that opens the floodgate for you to reap,
- 1:30:23whether it's 30 or 50 or 100, whatever.
- 1:30:27Whatever his plan is for you to reap that nothing nothing can be
- 1:30:30taken away from you. So so helpful and encouraging.
- 1:30:36Absolutely. And I I definitely resound that
- 1:30:38same back to you for sure. And and we both have an audience
- 1:30:44of 1 for sure and and if we please him, that's the most
- 1:30:49important thing. That's the all-encompassing
- 1:30:51important thing. And as a byproduct if somebody
- 1:30:55gets saved or edified or encouraged or what have you then
- 1:30:59then that's definitely like a runoff from the blessing that
- 1:31:03that you know we want to give to God.
- 1:31:06God gives to us. It's all worth it for sure.
- 1:31:09Amen for sure. Absolutely.
- 1:31:10So let me ask you this real quick.
- 1:31:12What? What's one of the most like?
- 1:31:14What What's your favorite episode that you've created?
- 1:31:17Like, like, what's that one interview where it's like you
- 1:31:19actually go back on a rainy day and listen to it and you're
- 1:31:22like, oh, this is the one, You know, like, like for all the
- 1:31:26years of podcasting or what would that one go to?
- 1:31:31I have to say, I love all of our guests that were on our show,
- 1:31:37but the one that popped into my head the most in which was open
- 1:31:43to the public. It was controversial in a good
- 1:31:47way. It was just in the fall of the
- 1:31:50former 4th Watch radio. Do you know who does the Fall
- 1:31:53is? I've heard of them.
- 1:31:55I actually ordered some DVD sets, I'd say in like 2019 or
- 1:31:582020, where I believe he was involved in the production.
- 1:32:01And I've heard the name thrown around, but I can't put a face
- 1:32:04to it. Yeah, gotcha.
- 1:32:06So he so lately he's been doing documentaries with his brother
- 1:32:10Westfall and he has some amazing videos on Vimeo, like one called
- 1:32:16The Hollow Earth, another one that exposes America's dark I'll
- 1:32:22be at Freemasons Satanic roots and there's there's two other
- 1:32:27ones I forget. So I think there's a total of
- 1:32:29four ordered. Some DVD's I'm trying to
- 1:32:31remember. It's like on the tip of my
- 1:32:32tongue what it was called me too.
- 1:32:35So he. Interviewed Tom Horne.
- 1:32:37And like Derek Gilbert, a couple of different people in like
- 1:32:39these different settings. And he was talking about like
- 1:32:42some secret societies or something like that.
- 1:32:45Yeah, I know, I know. Who you're talking about?
- 1:32:46Yeah, you know I'm talking about, right?
- 1:32:48Yeah, so. But when he was doing more of
- 1:32:50the podcasting and not so much of the documentaries.
- 1:32:54So he and Kay Carswell, my former Co Hostess who's went on
- 1:32:57to be with Lord and I did a show on Giants and that was on blog
- 1:33:03talk radio and we did not know what we were getting involved,
- 1:33:06what we were getting ourselves into.
- 1:33:08So when Channing had opened the floodgates, there was a man and
- 1:33:12and again, I was just a facilitator.
- 1:33:14So I wasn't a debater or anything like that.
- 1:33:16I didn't. I didn't do the biblical defense
- 1:33:18of Giants and Nefa Lim, but Justin did.
- 1:33:21So this this dude, this older dude calls him and he says he
- 1:33:26says, well you know, angels don't have genitals, right?
- 1:33:35And he said, Sir, he said, well angels don't have genitals or
- 1:33:42and and then he Then Justin asked him what will he ever have
- 1:33:45you ever seen an Angel with his pants down.
- 1:33:50And so but he did a really good biblical defense that the in
- 1:33:55Genesis 6 that the the sons of God who are the fallen angels
- 1:34:02had saw that the Dodgers went little, beautiful and and had
- 1:34:07sex with them. Their their their children were
- 1:34:09the nephalem were the giants. Because that flies in the face
- 1:34:13of 90% of what's taught in seminary that that the sons of
- 1:34:18God were the righteous men of Seth and the daughters of men
- 1:34:24were the daughters of Cain. And that doesn't make any sense
- 1:34:28because when you get human man versus human woman or human man
- 1:34:32plus human woman, their offspring shouldn't be the
- 1:34:35anomalous giants men ever known. Nephilim or what have you.
- 1:34:39And but it wasn't, it wasn't debate.
- 1:34:42I'll have to send you the link sometime.
- 1:34:44I mean, I might put the link in the show notes or something so
- 1:34:46people can listen. Yeah, send it to me so I can
- 1:34:49listen to it. And I definitely want to add
- 1:34:51that to the show notes. I think that's awesome.
- 1:34:54That's the one that pops into my head the most.
- 1:34:55Just not because they are more important than the other guests
- 1:35:00we've had. It's just that that was at the
- 1:35:02beginning of when I first started podcasting and not the
- 1:35:05first one. That was like maybe the 7th,
- 1:35:071:00. I've done and and and also it
- 1:35:10was like what the beginning of my podcasting and it was open to
- 1:35:15the public. I have never fielded questions
- 1:35:18from the public before. It was just that episode and and
- 1:35:22so folks, I, I if any, if there's any podcasters out
- 1:35:26there, I do not recommend that you allow callers to call in
- 1:35:30unless they're fielded, unless they're vetted by like an
- 1:35:34assistant or something. But it wasn't.
- 1:35:35It was amusing. It was really amusing though,
- 1:35:38but more than anything it really it the the, the controversy or
- 1:35:42the conflict actually showed Justin Fall.
- 1:35:45He really just really hit a home run with the apologetics, you
- 1:35:50know, regarding the the biblical origins of of the giants.
- 1:35:55And so I think that's why it stuck out to my mind the most.
- 1:36:00How about you? What's the one that sticks out
- 1:36:03in your in your head the most? Or the top two or so?
- 1:36:06Yeah, I mean. So I was asked like a similar
- 1:36:10question and normally what I'll do in my mind is I'll go back to
- 1:36:14like the the very beginning of like podcasting.
- 1:36:17Like there was these like inclemental moments where it's
- 1:36:20like I really understood something significant was
- 1:36:22happening. So like I shared about when my
- 1:36:24sister came on and like shared this hat man experience that she
- 1:36:27had. And I think what was so cool
- 1:36:30about that is like. Here, like, we grew up in this
- 1:36:33old, famous Philadelphia farmhouse.
- 1:36:35There's a bunch of history in the house that I grew up in.
- 1:36:38And my sister, when she was younger, had this hat man
- 1:36:42experience. She sees this hat man at the top
- 1:36:44of, like, I think at the third, yeah, the third story of the
- 1:36:47house and that that was talked about like, just with, like,
- 1:36:52friends and family, like like minutely, right.
- 1:36:55And then over the years, it was kind of like, kind of forgotten
- 1:36:57about, like every once in a blue moon, somebody would bring it up
- 1:37:00or something like that. But.
- 1:37:01That that was a moment where I interview her in season one.
- 1:37:06She shares different like dreams and stuff that she's had shares
- 1:37:09the hat man experience. It felt good.
- 1:37:11She got it off her chest. I felt good capturing it.
- 1:37:14And like, we aired it all out. So that was like a moment where
- 1:37:17I'm like and then I looked and I'm like, I'm not a numbers guy.
- 1:37:20I don't look at numbers. I don't work with people.
- 1:37:22Based upon how many numbers or popularity.
- 1:37:24I think that that's nonsense. I think that that's people just
- 1:37:26looking for. For reputation over who our
- 1:37:29audience of 1 is concerned. But that episode got some
- 1:37:33downloads, and I'm like, well, then people will listen.
- 1:37:37Like people are actually interested, you know, because it
- 1:37:39was kind of weird to be like, oh, I'm a Christian and I've
- 1:37:41seen a ghost like here or there, like a few years ago.
- 1:37:45Now it's just like, you know, everybody and anybody is talking
- 1:37:50about it now, just people randomly have all different
- 1:37:52positions and spectrums of like importance all the way down to.
- 1:37:57The basic person next door. I'll have a story to tell now,
- 1:38:01but I but I think that was like a really big moment.
- 1:38:04And there's a couple others. I mean, like, knock my socks off
- 1:38:07guests. I'd say Doctor Laura obviously,
- 1:38:10but because there's back story with her too.
- 1:38:12So it's like not just an e-mail And then oh, I'm hearing her
- 1:38:17voice for the first time. I go through like this really
- 1:38:20dark place where, you know, we lose the house, our first house
- 1:38:24we're buying. Because of like some some coding
- 1:38:27stuff and well and whatever, right?
- 1:38:30It doesn't go through. And then my wife's in a car
- 1:38:32accident and I lose half my income all within like a two
- 1:38:34week span. This is 21.
- 1:38:38So like Doctor Laura who was like scheduled to come on, we're
- 1:38:41emailing. We had like I think maybe one or
- 1:38:43two phone calls. At that point I cancel
- 1:38:45everything and she actually is like, I felt like in the spirit,
- 1:38:49something's going wrong here. So she actually takes time.
- 1:38:52To pray and encourage me. And there's like, no microphone
- 1:38:55on, right? But behind the scenes, it's like
- 1:38:58she's sharing with me and experiences she had years ago.
- 1:39:02And you know, she, she almost fell apart and lost everything.
- 1:39:06And like how she's like, you just focus on God, just the
- 1:39:09encouragement focusing on God. And just so like she comes on
- 1:39:13the show, like, I think the podcast has ended.
- 1:39:15I kind of played around with the waters a little bit.
- 1:39:17Should I start it? But God, I didn't get the green
- 1:39:19light everyone's telling me. So I'm like, Nope, I'm not
- 1:39:21really feeling it. And then all the sudden, like
- 1:39:24something, you know, I get the green light pretty much from
- 1:39:26God, He's like, OK, start the show back up because there was
- 1:39:29too much going on in my private life.
- 1:39:32The podcast was not more important than the condition of
- 1:39:34my household. It was not more important than
- 1:39:36the condition of my household. Like, that's my ministry first.
- 1:39:40So I put the podcast on the side and then things got a little bit
- 1:39:42better. And then God was like, OK, go
- 1:39:44with it. So when Doctor Laura came on, it
- 1:39:47was just like months. Like I'm, you know, months and
- 1:39:49months of all this going on and I seen.
- 1:39:52The the the diligency of just trusting God's voice and walking
- 1:39:56through dark and hard times that he'll he'll actually bring you
- 1:40:00to where you thought you were just about to be, but he might
- 1:40:02test you along the way. So I think that that was like,
- 1:40:05knocked my socks off personally. But there's every episode of
- 1:40:09being something to me, like, I don't air just anything on the
- 1:40:12Millennium Mustard Seed. I've literally had people say,
- 1:40:17why did you have this person on? Why did you cover this kind of
- 1:40:19content? And I'm going.
- 1:40:20Listen. Yes, of course.
- 1:40:22But. But my thing is, is I want to
- 1:40:24capture what I see people are doing right?
- 1:40:26I don't want to, like, make episodes on like like like God
- 1:40:30is going to correct people. The ministries that are not
- 1:40:32supposed to be here, the podcasts that are not supposed
- 1:40:34to be here will not be long until they are off the grid and
- 1:40:38forgotten. And I don't say that of
- 1:40:39boldness. I say that because God is not
- 1:40:41pleased with certain things and certain things he is pleased
- 1:40:44with. And the things that move
- 1:40:45forward, he's going to make that known as time goes on.
- 1:40:48And the things that he's not pleased with, he's going to
- 1:40:50disassemble it. But the thing that that I was
- 1:40:53starting to understand was I didn't want.
- 1:40:57It's not my job to be disciplined in people.
- 1:40:59If if somebody's in Christ and they're doing something real
- 1:41:02crazy, it is. I believe it's the body's job to
- 1:41:04be like, yo, listen, this is where you at, like what's really
- 1:41:07going on here. But just because somebody's a
- 1:41:09little bit theologically different in a sense or maybe
- 1:41:11they take the satellite view, I'm not going to.
- 1:41:14It's not my job to write a book about everything they're doing
- 1:41:16wrong. If I capture something, they are
- 1:41:18doing right. And I really feel and I pray
- 1:41:20about it and I'm watching and I'm, I'm watching in the
- 1:41:23background and I'm going, okay, God, This is a good thing that
- 1:41:27they're standing for. I want to capture that because I
- 1:41:30believe we all have a little something wrong and we all have
- 1:41:32a little something right. I don't discriminate.
- 1:41:34I don't care if you're a theologian.
- 1:41:35I don't care if you're the guy next door.
- 1:41:37We all have a little something wrong and we all have a little
- 1:41:40something right. And God gave me that in
- 1:41:42confidence. I say that I don't care who
- 1:41:44would be on the receiving end of that.
- 1:41:46In the humility and the confidence and the meekness,
- 1:41:50we're all moving towards a deeper revelation of who Christ
- 1:41:54is and what he's about to do. So with that kind of stuff, I
- 1:41:58just air well on the show what I feel like I'm capturing as good
- 1:42:01and beautiful. And like, I like just any
- 1:42:04conversation. If it gets the green light from
- 1:42:08God, I air it. You know what I mean on that?
- 1:42:11It's that kind of thing where it's like, OK, this is going to
- 1:42:14help somebody, but I think there's there's over
- 1:42:17entertainment in a lot of ways too.
- 1:42:18I think a lot of people are just way more concerned with
- 1:42:22entertainment or popularity. Am I covering a topic that is
- 1:42:25popular? I can see other people covering
- 1:42:27it or is it really like there's loose ends here.
- 1:42:30This is helpful for my journey and I know it's going to affect
- 1:42:32other people. So I think that's that's
- 1:42:35important that that's really important as a podcaster,
- 1:42:37because I've said already and I'll say it again, I don't know
- 1:42:40if I'll be podcasting in six months from now or in two years
- 1:42:43from now. I have learned it is better to
- 1:42:46just say okay, God, continue to prepare me for what's next
- 1:42:50because I do not want the whooping if I try to run or say
- 1:42:53no like that hurts, there's enough going on, I don't want to
- 1:42:57be with you. So hopefully that encourages
- 1:42:59somebody out there as well as is being malleable to where God's
- 1:43:03calling us and what he's choosing to do.
- 1:43:05But then also recognizing the mouthpiece has a function in the
- 1:43:10body and we can't, you know, we can't try to negate certain
- 1:43:15functions of the body and no wonder why the body Christ isn't
- 1:43:18firing on all cylinders. So when we do have something to
- 1:43:21share, when it is edifying, when it is for our learning, our
- 1:43:24rebuke or just I hate to say entertainment because of the
- 1:43:28entertainment industry, but there there should be healthy
- 1:43:31entertainment for Christians. Like we need alternative things
- 1:43:34to go to and listen to, whether it just be some good clean humor
- 1:43:38or just conversations. Like somebody wants to wash the
- 1:43:40dishes, Somebody's washing the dishes right now and they just
- 1:43:43want to listen to me and you talk and share our stories.
- 1:43:45Like, that's cool. That's better than what the
- 1:43:46world wants to recycle. So I believe there's a time and
- 1:43:49space for all this and I and I really like and enjoy what you
- 1:43:52do. And I recognized, you know,
- 1:43:56you're doing stuff behind the scenes and just really promoting
- 1:43:58people and being positive and and, you know, just not being
- 1:44:02unashamed of the gospel. So really it's an honor to have
- 1:44:06been on this episode with you and just to get to know you
- 1:44:09better and to collaborate and and just share our stories.
- 1:44:14So super cool. That's awesome.
- 1:44:16I'm very honored and blessed with being in this collaboration
- 1:44:21podcast with you, and it's amazing how the Lord brings
- 1:44:25people together. I think that we had met through,
- 1:44:28I believe, Blurry Creatures. Is that correct?
- 1:44:31No, actually you started that message group or something like
- 1:44:37that for after the William Ramsey roundtable episode.
- 1:44:41So really somebody, I think it was Chris.
- 1:44:44He's he. Cracked me in on that.
- 1:44:46Yeah, he added me and I'm like, this is going on.
- 1:44:48What world did I just enter into?
- 1:44:49There's like all these other pockets.
- 1:44:51There's some stuff going on. But there was this like nine
- 1:44:54person panel where I was invited to join with William Ramsey.
- 1:44:58William is and I know who Chuck from fire theft is.
- 1:45:01So I'm like, yeah, sure, I'll join.
- 1:45:03At least know two of these people and then kind of got
- 1:45:06introduced to you from that point in time is the first time
- 1:45:08I really seen your face heard your show or anything.
- 1:45:11So that was the starting point. What was what you had put
- 1:45:14together with Michael Basham and and everybody else to do that
- 1:45:18round table episode. That's how That's how I.
- 1:45:21Found OK. OK.
- 1:45:22That's great. I'm glad.
- 1:45:22I'm glad that you mentioned that that it was Chris Price that
- 1:45:25invited you into the Christian podcast group and I know that
- 1:45:29that's not all inclusive of every Christian podcaster.
- 1:45:32So if you're listening out there and.
- 1:45:34And you? We haven't collaborated, please
- 1:45:37send us a message. We would love to hear from you
- 1:45:42for sure. You can send it to
- 1:45:45strangeoclock@yahoo.com. Or do you have an e-mail that
- 1:45:48they can send something to you? Yeah, actually in my show notes
- 1:45:51I have the e-mail address on the website
- 1:45:53butitsr.j.a.j.smith77@icloud.com. Okay.
- 1:46:02So they can e-mail you? Yeah, let me make sure I got
- 1:46:04that right. This sounds crazy, but I don't
- 1:46:06even know. It's okay.
- 1:46:08I could look it up. I do like show notes and stuff
- 1:46:10all the time. I don't.
- 1:46:12Well, that's right. It'll be in the show notes of
- 1:46:14your e-mail. And yeah, I got it right, just
- 1:46:16RJ ajsmith77icloud.com if somebody wants to reach out to
- 1:46:20me. But in the episode Show Notes
- 1:46:21you guys will find, I'll do links for anybody that I have on
- 1:46:25or just like brief. I'll write out a brief
- 1:46:27description of what the episode's about, and in this
- 1:46:30case, you'll be able to find. For one, this airs on my show.
- 1:46:33You'll be able to find a strange o'clock podcast.
- 1:46:36What What Peach is Doing. Michael Bash and what they're
- 1:46:38doing over there is really cool. They've had some awesome guests
- 1:46:41on. So for my listeners, all the
- 1:46:43mustards, see faith out there. We're we're small and a strong
- 1:46:46community. You guys don't understand the
- 1:46:49significance of this core group of just just us who who are
- 1:46:54loving the Lord and listening to all these podcasts over here.
- 1:46:56Keep praying for me and for their show and go over and show
- 1:46:59them some loves. The five star ratings and
- 1:47:01reviews for them and you guys got some awesome guests that I
- 1:47:05was like, man, I was kind of blown away by a couple of those
- 1:47:07episodes. I was like, wow, that really
- 1:47:09helped me get through the week. The Deliverance episode I forget
- 1:47:12was Steve, I want to say. Was it?
- 1:47:15Steve Harmon, Yeah, Steve Harmon, yeah.
- 1:47:17There's a couple episodes. I was like, wow, that's good.
- 1:47:19I listened to podcasts, but I don't listen to, like, a ton of
- 1:47:23different podcasts anymore. Like as time goes on, I listen
- 1:47:26to less and less and I'm like, right, right.
- 1:47:28Reading or audible listening to like audio books or just sure
- 1:47:32getting wild in my own mind. Like I gotta create some cool
- 1:47:35content here. Like I get ideas where I'm like
- 1:47:36this would be hilarious or this needs to be covered.
- 1:47:40Right, right. Awesome.
- 1:47:42And I I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed that your
- 1:47:45conversation with Doctor Laura Singer.
- 1:47:47I really, I really liked that episode and that was really
- 1:47:50heartfelt. And I really, I really like any
- 1:47:54shows she does, especially the show that you did with her.
- 1:47:56I really like that. That's definitely one of my
- 1:47:58favorites. Like four times I think now we
- 1:48:01covered matters. Awesome.
- 1:48:02Yeah, we covered on breaking, breaking, iniquity and stuff
- 1:48:07like that, and then the spiritual mapping, the Nephilim
- 1:48:10agenda and then we she was on real recently actually, I think
- 1:48:13a month or two ago I dropped it and it was the fear of the Lord
- 1:48:16in defeating giants. And each one of them is just
- 1:48:19like, man, this is crazy. You definitely have great
- 1:48:22episodes and I love the guests that you've interviewed.
- 1:48:24I I'd. I need to catch up, but I
- 1:48:27listened to the last two with Dan de Waal, which is definitely
- 1:48:31a heavy hitter, and also the one with Enoch Putrice, our mutual
- 1:48:36friend. And then I've listened to four
- 1:48:38or five shows before that, and each one of them have been
- 1:48:41amazing. You're one of the best Christian
- 1:48:44hosts that I've heard. You're very warm and friendly
- 1:48:47and you're very honest and authentic and I'm really
- 1:48:50blessed. And impressed by by your podcast
- 1:48:54and and you in general you you definitely are a man of
- 1:48:56character it and some would say for a millennial but you but you
- 1:49:02really stand out among your peers for sure and and so glad
- 1:49:06that that you're that you're a voice for this your generation
- 1:49:09and you're really speaking faith to them because every generation
- 1:49:13whether a through Z needs the Lord Jesus and and I think that.
- 1:49:20There's not enough people that that give millennials or or even
- 1:49:23the younger generations kudos, you know, for for having faith
- 1:49:27and and yes it's you know, faith and going to church and reading
- 1:49:30the Bible and have a relationship with Jesus.
- 1:49:33It seems to be dwindling, you know, less and less, but at the
- 1:49:35same time it's more and more so. So, so yes, there's only like
- 1:49:4010% of Generation Y&Z that has like biblical Christian faith.
- 1:49:47But out of that 10%, oh boy, those people are on fire for
- 1:49:51Jesus And and it's, you know, the as, as the Bible says, a
- 1:49:54remnant will be saved. And even if it is, you know
- 1:49:57however many you know that is. But, but that whatever 10 or 20%
- 1:50:01of people can can you know light the world on fire and and share
- 1:50:06the love and passion of Jesus. You know with with those people,
- 1:50:10you know, whether it's podcasting or Youtubing or tik
- 1:50:13toking, you know there's there's young people.
- 1:50:15As a matter of fact, I I know that this young couple now, my
- 1:50:19gosh, I was blown away by Nick and Alyssa Dawson and.
- 1:50:24And they're. I think they're in their late
- 1:50:2520s. I'm not sure.
- 1:50:27But they used to be prayer counselors for Pastor Vlad
- 1:50:32Savchuk's ministry and then they win people to the Lord through
- 1:50:36TikTok And like I'm not even doing that.
- 1:50:38I just put out podcasts. I mean, but he's on the phone
- 1:50:41with them. Like I don't know about now, but
- 1:50:43I I think now but but I know that he he was at least and he
- 1:50:47might be still be doing now talking to people for like 4
- 1:50:51hours a day who are saying that they're suicidal.
- 1:50:54Or they're you know on drugs and they want to get off drugs and
- 1:50:58and they they are have questions about Jesus.
- 1:51:00They have questions about God and like Oh my gosh, I need to
- 1:51:04be present for people. I really want to switch gears
- 1:51:07and not just put out shows, but also to be to really be
- 1:51:12interactive with people And and I think that part of it would be
- 1:51:16probably getting on some of these platforms where there's a
- 1:51:19lot of younger people like TikTok.
- 1:51:23And and things like that. But anyway.
- 1:51:26But it was wonderful collaborating with you.
- 1:51:29Rod. Once again I'm so blessed by
- 1:51:31your testimonial and interacting with you and I do hope and pray
- 1:51:35that that this does reach people and and plan to seed in their
- 1:51:38hearts or or a strange millennial mustard seed in their
- 1:51:42hearts. We'll have to do this again in
- 1:51:47in the future and I love to talk with tell Michael Bash and I
- 1:51:51said what's up and I hope he's doing well.
- 1:51:53I see his lives every once in a while and I'll jump on.
- 1:51:56And he's always like the Mustard Seed is here watching me.
- 1:51:59And I was like, I love his personality, I think.
- 1:52:02He's Oh yeah. He's got a he's a cool guy.
- 1:52:03So I would love to talk with him at some point in time in the
- 1:52:07future both of both of you. And thank you for being cool and
- 1:52:13being you. And you, you have so much to
- 1:52:16offer the Kingdom and I'm just excited to see what God does
- 1:52:19moving forward with the Strange podcast so.
- 1:52:22And vice versa. I'm excited to see what the Lord
- 1:52:25is using, how the Lord is using you.
- 1:52:28And I can see He has and and I can see The Who will continue to
- 1:52:31to use you to to reach people through your direct message,
- 1:52:35your direct testimonial, as well as that your guest that you have
- 1:52:38on there. So kudos to you and and.
- 1:52:42Absolutely. And and I mean every bit of it
- 1:52:43and Michael and I would love to have you on again to to talk
- 1:52:46about some other topic if you want.
- 1:52:49And we'll have to pray about it and chat about it.
- 1:52:51But thank you so much for listening and watching the this
- 1:52:54Strange Millennial Mustard Seed podcast.
