- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It's Gabe with Angie Snow likely today with a high
- 0:08Speaker 2: of thirty one. And also, do not forget that there
- 0:11Speaker 2: are some schools in the rural areas in the Lakes area.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Excuse me, some rural schools in the Lakes area that
- 0:17Speaker 2: will be e learning. You can get that full list
- 0:19Speaker 2: of closings at Big nine eight seven dot com thanks
- 0:23Speaker 2: to Gateway Collision Center.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Let's go girls, all right?
- 0:32Speaker 2: We asked a pretty fun question on the Big ninety
- 0:34Speaker 2: eight point seven Facebook page yesterday and in droves we
- 0:40Speaker 2: got answers, which was awesome.
- 0:41Speaker 3: This is what I love, women supporting other women.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm so into it. I love it. That's a question.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Yeah, y I Ben was choking on my own spit.
- 0:53Speaker 3: But we pose the question to women in their thirties
- 0:57Speaker 3: to give women in their twenties?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Women oh by thirty? Yeah, women over thirty? Yeah, over thirty.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So they're in their thirties. Well, they could be forty
- 1:05Speaker 1: and give the advice.
- 1:06Speaker 3: They could be fifty, they could be six you right, Gabe, boy,
- 1:11Speaker 3: I'm crushing and burning here. Women over thirty to give
- 1:15Speaker 3: advice to women in their twenties and the responses did
- 1:20Speaker 3: not disappoint.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I love this one from Tracy.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Never take criticism from someone you wouldn't seek out for advice.
- 1:27Speaker 1: That is great advice anybody.
- 1:29Speaker 3: You're true, Janie. Don't settle for anything because you think
- 1:34Speaker 3: you have to. I feel like in your twenties you
- 1:37Speaker 3: think like, well, I don't want to. I want to
- 1:39Speaker 3: people please, I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. So
- 1:41Speaker 3: I guess I'll settle for this if I have to.
- 1:43Speaker 4: No, you don't. You have the power. Do not settle.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I really loved that here. There's life is too short
- 1:50Speaker 3: to be unhappy. Don't settle. Be choosy with what and
- 1:53Speaker 3: who you want in your life. That was from Amelia.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I like that there's a theme of you gotta take
- 1:58Speaker 3: control now in your twenties, choose what you want. It's
- 2:02Speaker 3: not you'd have a voice and you shouldn't have to
- 2:05Speaker 3: wait until you're older to use it. And honestly, that's
- 2:08Speaker 3: something that I wish I would have heard in my twenties,
- 2:10Speaker 3: because I as much as right now in my big thirties,
- 2:15Speaker 3: i'm a right more outspoken, more vocal. In my twenties,
- 2:19Speaker 3: I definitely was more meek, and there were a lot
- 2:22Speaker 3: of situations where had I used my voice, they would
- 2:26Speaker 3: have gone in my favor.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Right that, maybe you know what you mean?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, Gabe, do you have any advice? I mean, you're
- 2:32Speaker 3: not a woman over thirty, but you live with one.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Right, that is right? There?
- 2:36Speaker 2: There was one I saw that really it was very
- 2:40Speaker 2: different subject matter than a lot of the i'd say,
- 2:44Speaker 2: very deep hearted ones, okay, but there was one that
- 2:47Speaker 2: had me just dying laughing. It said, girl, those red
- 2:51Speaker 2: flags do not mean it's a carnival ride or whatever
- 2:53Speaker 2: it was that had me dying laughing. So and I'm
- 2:58Speaker 2: sorry I can't find it. I saw it, yeah, yesterday.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But whoever wrote that, I got a good laugh about that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: If there is a gentleman with a ton of red flags,
- 3:06Speaker 2: you are not at the carnival, get off the ride
- 3:08Speaker 2: and go somewhere.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Else or whatever.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Gosh, that's so true. That's basically what it was saying.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And I got a good laugh out of that. So
- 3:14Speaker 2: that was awesome.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I think my advice, since I am a woman over thirty,
- 3:19Speaker 3: my advice is to be a hydrated hottie. Like creaking
- 3:25Speaker 3: water is so important and I feel like in your twenties.
- 3:29Speaker 1: This is a very real thing. Gag. Yeah, you're right.
- 3:31Speaker 3: When you're out partying in your twenties and you're just
- 3:35Speaker 3: chugging vodka sodas, that's not water, honey, drink some water
- 3:39Speaker 3: because your skin will thank you for it.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sure, I love that. Yeah, that's your kidneys and you
- 3:45Speaker 1: just drink some wat be a hydrated hoti.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought there was one I kind of saw,
- 3:49Speaker 2: and I'm sort of piggybacking on this, but a few
- 3:54Speaker 2: really really good, solid friends, people you know have your
- 3:59Speaker 2: back and are rooting for your success. Having a few
- 4:02Speaker 2: of those people goes a lot further than having a
- 4:06Speaker 2: bunch of acquaintances.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Right, quality over que.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Exactly, having a solid couple group of friends. Now, maybe
- 4:15Speaker 2: you're lucky and you have ten that you know have
- 4:17Speaker 2: your back, and YadA, YadA, YadA, that's awesome.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's great.
- 4:20Speaker 2: But if you only have you know, two, three, those
- 4:23Speaker 2: three are going to take you a lot further than
- 4:26Speaker 2: fifteen people that never text you on your birthday or
- 4:29Speaker 2: call you on Christmas or wish you a happy Easter,
- 4:33Speaker 2: or cheer for Eastern or cheer for you when you
- 4:36Speaker 2: get the new job or a promotion or whatever. So
- 4:39Speaker 2: having just those couple handful of people goes a lot further, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 2: than trying to have fifteen just you know, kind of
- 4:46Speaker 2: sort of backup friends.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I guess Kaylie.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Joe has this advice and I really want to share it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Live by yourself at least once. Okay, and that's major.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I grew up in a Latin household, and so I
- 5:00Speaker 3: went from my mother's house to living with my husband,
- 5:05Speaker 3: like I never had that in between of living by myself.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And now I'm a single mom and so I'm living
- 5:11Speaker 3: by myself but not really those.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Kids are there, So it's totally right.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Live by yourself at least once. Kaylie Joe, that's like
- 5:18Speaker 3: the best advice I've ever heard.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I have one more for you.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And now you don't have to love this or even
- 5:24Speaker 2: really be great at it necessarily, but this is kind
- 5:28Speaker 2: of some interesting I'd say, like life business advice. If
- 5:32Speaker 2: you're in your twenties, learn to play golf. You don't
- 5:36Speaker 2: have to be great, you don't have to love it,
- 5:38Speaker 2: you don't have to do this every day. But there
- 5:41Speaker 2: are a ton of business deals that you can make
- 5:43Speaker 2: and marketing that can get done at a golf course.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So if you can, you know, at the very least,
- 5:51Speaker 2: learn to kind of hit the ball a little bit
- 5:54Speaker 2: and have some fun with it and kind of fake
- 5:57Speaker 2: enjoy it if you hate it, you know what I mean. Golf,
- 6:00Speaker 2: that's great, but learn to kind of appreciate the art
- 6:05Speaker 2: of I don't know what the word would be, not negotiating,
- 6:09Speaker 2: but what's it where you meet a bunch of people networking.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I'm yeah, if you can learn to appreciate the networking
- 6:15Speaker 2: because there are events that go on at golf courses
- 6:18Speaker 2: and they're all so learn a little bit about the
- 6:20Speaker 2: game of golf.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I think that's kind of interesting.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I'm heading the sweet Shots after work today.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Snow possible today with a high of thirty one and
- 6:34Speaker 2: just a reminder that there are we are under winter
- 6:37Speaker 2: storm morning until seven pm, and there are some rural
- 6:40Speaker 2: schools in the Lakes area that will be e learning today.
- 6:44Speaker 2: You can get that full list at Big nine eight
- 6:46Speaker 2: seven dot com. Thanks to Gateway Collision Center, gys hot
- 6:51Speaker 2: glue that holds society together people.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Okay, what I am for me?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Here? Amsy I couldn't trick my CA's yesterday for April Fools,
- 7:02Speaker 3: because they just generally think I'm a liar. And I
- 7:07Speaker 3: tried to pretend that they had to ride the school
- 7:09Speaker 3: bus home from now on. I pick them up from school.
- 7:12Speaker 3: They take the bus to school, but I pick.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Them up after.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And I tried to be like, well, now you guys
- 7:16Speaker 3: have to take the bus home every single day because
- 7:18Speaker 3: I've got stuff to do. And they're like, yeah, right,
- 7:21Speaker 3: April Fools, like they just knew, and I was bummed.
- 7:25Speaker 3: And they were like, well, you lie all the time,
- 7:27Speaker 3: and to be fair, correct, I do lie.
- 7:31Speaker 1: To them a lot.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Here's the thing, it's because some of these are self
- 7:34Speaker 3: preservation lies as parents, and like, I'm not alone in this.
- 7:39Speaker 3: This candy bar is spicy, you won't like it. That's
- 7:43Speaker 3: because we want to just have a candy bar without
- 7:45Speaker 3: the kid trying to steal it.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Okay, you're going, yeah, I.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Lie about how much time I actually put on the
- 7:51Speaker 3: timer when it's to get off the screens. Right, I'm like,
- 7:55Speaker 3: I'm setting a timer for ten minutes. I set that
- 7:57Speaker 3: for five minutes. Sure, you know what I mean. And
- 8:00Speaker 3: like the neighbors, they said that the kids can't come
- 8:03Speaker 3: over to play today.
- 8:03Speaker 4: I didn't ask the neighbors.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I just I'm not in the mood for people today,
- 8:07Speaker 3: and I just feel like those are okay. But then
- 8:10Speaker 3: sometimes I lie for funzies because who else can.
- 8:14Speaker 4: You joke around with but your kids.
- 8:16Speaker 3: So one time I convinced Aiden, my older one, that
- 8:20Speaker 3: his full name was Aidanopolis.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Instead of just Aiden.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's it go.
- 8:28Speaker 3: My favorite lie, and I feel like this is a
- 8:31Speaker 3: tip to parents everywhere, is that I convinced both my
- 8:35Speaker 3: kids that if they don't behave well enough throughout the
- 8:39Speaker 3: entire year, that when their birthday hits, they turned back
- 8:44Speaker 3: into a baby.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Told me that start over.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I feel like that's a really great lie.
- 8:51Speaker 3: But now I've like I've shot myself in the foot
- 8:55Speaker 3: with this, because now they don't believe anything I say.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Is that obviously a be behavior trick?
- 9:01Speaker 1: I'm as certain.
- 9:03Speaker 3: So then like the little one, he's turning eight at
- 9:07Speaker 3: the end of this month, and I'm like, oh, we're
- 9:09Speaker 3: in the final stretch.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You better start behaving real well.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I love that there is one lie that I You know,
- 9:16Speaker 2: how as you get older you kind of learn all
- 9:18Speaker 2: these things your parents lied about or whatever. Yeah, My wife,
- 9:21Speaker 2: Corey grew up in a you know, a really small
- 9:25Speaker 2: town in southern Minnesota, and when she would go visit
- 9:29Speaker 2: her grandparents, there's a few of these like tunnels that
- 9:32Speaker 2: are super famous in Minneapolis. Whenever they would make the
- 9:35Speaker 2: drip up to the cities, you know, her grandpa would
- 9:38Speaker 2: lay on the horn going through the tunnels, saying, oh, yeah,
- 9:41Speaker 2: that's just what everyone does, You're supposed to do that.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Corey believed this until she got her license. She was
- 9:48Speaker 2: driving through one of the tunnels in the Twin Cities
- 9:51Speaker 2: with a bunch of her friends in the car and
- 9:54Speaker 2: lays on the horn and everybody in the car was like,
- 9:58Speaker 2: what are you doing? And she was like, what, that's
- 10:02Speaker 2: what my grandpa said you had to do. And they
- 10:04Speaker 2: were all just dying laughing, because are you kidd What
- 10:07Speaker 2: do you mean? Lay on the horn right in the tunnel.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It echoes, it's noisy, it's irritating.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Shut up.
- 10:13Speaker 3: This is why you have to tell your kids after
- 10:16Speaker 3: that you're lying.
- 10:17Speaker 4: It's not lying if you say I'm just kidding, that's right.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's your excuses. Today's Variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 10:27Speaker 5: All right, we've got this winter store morning until seven
- 10:29Speaker 5: o'clock snow likely. We'll really kind of depend on what
- 10:32Speaker 5: these temps do. Even if mediaologist start going, if the
- 10:36Speaker 5: temps stay above freezing, we might just get rain and
- 10:42Speaker 5: it's still gonna be kind of slushy. But they are
- 10:44Speaker 5: saying it's coming our way right through South Dakota right now,
- 10:47Speaker 5: so four to eight inches of snow possible before seven o'clock.
- 10:49Speaker 5: A lot of real schools in Lakes Country are doing
- 10:52Speaker 5: e learning days just to be safe. You can get
- 10:54Speaker 5: that full list of closing's at Big ninety eight seven
- 10:56Speaker 5: dot com. Thanks for our friends over a Gateway Collision center.
- 10:59Speaker 5: But it was really nice Evan.
- 11:00Speaker 1: This morning. I'm like, oh, I was just anticipating in
- 11:02Speaker 1: the worst. Oh I saw it when I woke out
- 11:04Speaker 1: this morning, same thing, but it is gonna get a
- 11:07Speaker 1: little messy. So yeah, I was here.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I go, Yeah, it's really weird from what I saw.
- 11:12Speaker 2: The Like the temperature goes up throughout the day, so
- 11:14Speaker 2: tonight it's supposed to in theory be warmer than it
- 11:17Speaker 2: is right now, which is normally not how that exactly works, and.
- 11:20Speaker 1: That's why they're going, Uh, we'll see what happens.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Here right, Amanda, do you ever are you ever talking
- 11:25Speaker 2: to your hobby Nick.
- 11:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, Gabe, I sure do talk to him.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And you feel like he's just completely zoned out. Didn't
- 11:34Speaker 2: hear a word?
- 11:35Speaker 1: You said? Oh?
- 11:36Speaker 5: Absolutely? And I also, to be fair, do the exact
- 11:39Speaker 5: same to him.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I hope he is listening right this very second, because
- 11:43Speaker 2: he now has a built in excuse that I don't
- 11:46Speaker 2: know if anyone could argue with.
- 11:48Speaker 1: What is it?
- 11:49Speaker 2: Men have worse hearing than women. We literally do not
- 11:54Speaker 2: hear as well as you.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 11:58Speaker 2: Well, scientists tested people hearing in different countries around the world.
- 12:02Speaker 2: So this isn't just here in Fargo, This isn't just
- 12:06Speaker 2: in North Dakota and Minnesota.
- 12:08Speaker 1: This is global. This is a global phenomenon. Okay, all right.
- 12:12Speaker 1: They tested this around the world, and it's true everywhere.
- 12:14Speaker 2: The average woman has a two decibel advantage and up
- 12:19Speaker 2: to six decibels with some frequencies. Now that's not a lot,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but it is significant enough to make a difference. They
- 12:27Speaker 2: think it might come down to hormones or how our
- 12:29Speaker 2: ears developed in the womb.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Interesting, this is exact opposite though, in our family, because
- 12:36Speaker 5: I've been in radio so long and I have headphones
- 12:38Speaker 5: and I'm listening. I am terrible. My husband gets so maddy,
- 12:42Speaker 5: and I think he does it on purpose. He will
- 12:45Speaker 5: listen to the TV at like a six seven and
- 12:48Speaker 5: he pretends like he can hear it all hears day
- 12:51Speaker 5: is like, oh really, Amanda, And I mean, I am
- 12:55Speaker 5: minimum thirty.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I have to have the volume up so loud.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I love that we share this because my wife does
- 13:03Speaker 2: the same thing. We have a sound bar under the TV. Yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 2: and she'll be watching whatever and I'm I'll just kind
- 13:08Speaker 2: of momentarily like look at her from time to time
- 13:12Speaker 2: and it's like, there's no way you can hear this,
- 13:14Speaker 2: not a chance. It's at like ten, I jack the
- 13:17Speaker 2: thing up to twenty five. I'm I share that same
- 13:20Speaker 2: thing with you. Don't sit here and lie like you
- 13:22Speaker 2: can hear what they're saying.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Yeah, and then there's certain things I can here. It's interesting,
- 13:26Speaker 5: you know, like when the kids wake up in the
- 13:28Speaker 5: middle of the night.
- 13:29Speaker 1: He can't hear that. He can't get out of bed
- 13:32Speaker 1: for that, but I hear it. It's so weird.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I have something with that that is very, very similar,
- 13:40Speaker 2: and it's not the same, but it is similar our
- 13:42Speaker 2: You know, our dog Wanona does not know Saturday is
- 13:46Speaker 2: sleep in day, right right? I have let her out
- 13:49Speaker 2: Saturday morning at like six fifteen bright twice in a
- 13:52Speaker 2: year and a half. Mom is always up, always hears
- 13:56Speaker 2: her move all, and I never hear it.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Really, it's just so you'll never ever hear it once. Weird.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:08Speaker 5: We still have that winter storrow morning until seven o'clock tonight.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Snow is likely still coming our way. Four to eight
- 14:14Speaker 5: inches still possible.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I have a question.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I need help, and I need backup from anybody who
- 14:19Speaker 2: would be on my side when it comes to this. Okay,
- 14:21Speaker 2: all right, so have you agree with me? I will
- 14:24Speaker 2: explain why I need you in a hot second. Here.
- 14:26Speaker 2: When is it okay? And when is it time for
- 14:29Speaker 2: the little Christmas cards? The save the date things you
- 14:34Speaker 2: get in the mail that sit on the fridge for
- 14:37Speaker 2: a year and a half. When is it time to
- 14:40Speaker 2: just chuck those in the garbage? Oh gosh, when can
- 14:43Speaker 2: I get rid of these things? So?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Are we going Christmas card?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Oh?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Both? I need both? Okay, geez, really okay Christmas cards?
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm going that's coming down with a Christmas tree. Shall
- 14:53Speaker 1: you throw them away in January? I?
- 14:55Speaker 5: Okay, So here's the deal. Some of them I don't
- 14:58Speaker 5: throw away like it is. I'll maybe just put them
- 15:02Speaker 5: with the Christmas stuff.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Sure.
- 15:04Speaker 5: One of my girlfriends does this where she does not
- 15:07Speaker 5: throw away any of the cards, and she created like
- 15:11Speaker 5: a photo album every year of all the Christmas cards
- 15:14Speaker 5: of everybody.
- 15:15Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't think I have that
- 15:18Speaker 1: in me right.
- 15:19Speaker 5: And this sounds terrible, but I know how much money
- 15:22Speaker 5: people are spending on these, but I'm throwing them away
- 15:25Speaker 5: for the most part. Yeah you know, I mean, you
- 15:27Speaker 5: just ya gatta. Otherwise you're just hoarding these pictures that
- 15:33Speaker 5: can get new ones every year.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I mean yeah, really theory our fridge is full of
- 15:41Speaker 2: Christmas cards I have. There's also people who have sent
- 15:44Speaker 2: the like hey, thanks for the wedding gift, also like
- 15:48Speaker 2: save the date from a wedding we've been to already.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Can we just chuck these things in the garbage or
- 15:54Speaker 2: can I find a shoe box and save it and
- 15:57Speaker 2: throw the shoe box in the garbage a day she's
- 15:59Speaker 2: not paying it.
- 16:00Speaker 1: You can gravita get rid of these.
- 16:03Speaker 5: You can put them in there and then just say,
- 16:04Speaker 5: here you go, honey. You can put this under your
- 16:07Speaker 5: bed wherever you would like to have it when you
- 16:09Speaker 5: never look at it ever again, ever again. That's just
- 16:12Speaker 5: the reality of it. I struggle with this with like
- 16:16Speaker 5: the kids art and things like that. I have now
- 16:20Speaker 5: decluttered because it was getting crazy, Like it's just absolutely
- 16:23Speaker 5: crazy of what you're keeping, what you're not. They're both
- 16:26Speaker 5: coming home with three or four things a day, right,
- 16:30Speaker 5: and so there's some that I keep. So they each
- 16:32Speaker 5: have a folder, and I'm like, okay, I'll do that.
- 16:34Speaker 5: And then I even now kind of go.

- 20:02Speaker 5: Wake it up to some really sad news. Val Kilmer
- 20:05Speaker 5: did pass away only sixty five years old. Of course,
- 20:08Speaker 5: he is famous for so many movies, including Batman.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Forever I see without seeing. To me, darkness is as
- 20:15Speaker 1: clear as daylight.
- 20:18Speaker 3: What am I.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Please?
- 20:23Speaker 1: You're as blind as.
- 20:24Speaker 5: A bat exactly Iceman in Top Gun, The Kid eat Maverick.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That's why I fought for you, That's why you're still here.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Thank you, Rush for every second one of the coolest
- 20:45Speaker 1: nicknames of all time.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I think every dude's first favorite nickname cannot be called
- 20:50Speaker 2: like Maverick.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just it is so sad. He was involved
- 20:54Speaker 5: in so many movies. His utter Mercedes, shared that he
- 20:56Speaker 5: passed away due to pneumonia. Actually, he was diagnosed with
- 21:00Speaker 5: throat cancer in twenty fourteen.
- 21:02Speaker 1: He later recovered.
- 21:03Speaker 5: But just you know, there's just some of these celebrities
- 21:07Speaker 5: when they passed, you're like, gosh, you just forget how
- 21:09Speaker 5: many movies and just you know, all the things that
- 21:12Speaker 5: they had done.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Tombstone another classic that he is in. I see I'll
- 21:16Speaker 2: be your Huckleberry. Great line from this I forgot.
- 21:18Speaker 1: All about that.
- 21:19Speaker 5: Yes, and Jason and Kylie Kelsey they welcome their fourth daughter.
- 21:25Speaker 5: The newest edition of the family was born on Sunday.
- 21:27Speaker 5: They posted pictures and they captioned it, Whoop, there she
- 21:31Speaker 5: is Finley Finn and Kelsey this is girl dad on
- 21:36Speaker 5: next level.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Four girls, four little girls. Isn't that crazy?
- 21:41Speaker 2: That's a lot. That is a lot to deal with.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I don't envy that man at all.
- 21:48Speaker 5: Oh, I he is just I love that he's retired
- 21:51Speaker 5: out to be a part of all of it.
- 21:53Speaker 2: And that is true. He doesn't have to play anymore,
- 21:56Speaker 2: so he can beat it.
- 21:57Speaker 5: I mean, obviously he's still working into and everything. But
- 21:59Speaker 5: I I just would love the chaos of it. Did
- 22:02Speaker 5: you ever watch the I think it was actually just
- 22:04Speaker 5: called Kelsey. I think it was Amazon Prime. This is
- 22:06Speaker 5: even before they were really really famous. They did like
- 22:10Speaker 5: a documentary and it was in Jason's house for the
- 22:14Speaker 5: most part. Sure, and they live like you and I
- 22:18Speaker 5: totally normal life. I mean there's stuff everywhere. It is
- 22:22Speaker 5: so great. If you not watch that documentary, that's when
- 22:25Speaker 5: I really started falling in love with these guys.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah, because they're just so normal. Yeah, and I'm not.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I don't think it necessarily is a lot, and I
- 22:33Speaker 2: don't know anything about anything. A lot when like little kids,
- 22:37Speaker 2: like I have a ton of young nieces and they're awesome.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I love them to death or whatever.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I am very very curious when young niece is turning fifteen, sixteen, seventeen,
- 22:46Speaker 2: That is when it's like, you got four of those
- 22:48Speaker 2: running around. Oh my goodness, you know what I mean,
- 22:51Speaker 2: more of those.
- 22:53Speaker 5: You are so not a dad yet we got four
- 22:55Speaker 5: of those?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, they're not dogs and cats?
- 23:02Speaker 5: Oh my God, speaking of babies, I'm a little nervous,
- 23:05Speaker 5: but we're.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Going to talk about more babies.
- 23:07Speaker 5: No, MGK cleared up some confusion about that thing that
- 23:11Speaker 5: there was one of those one of those things that
- 23:14Speaker 5: Megan Fox had the other day.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Actually really funny.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Remember when he posted about Celestial Seed that was like
- 23:21Speaker 5: in the phrasing, Well he had to clear it up
- 23:23Speaker 5: because people actually thought that was the name of their
- 23:26Speaker 5: baby girl.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Sure, so he Celeste is a name, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 2: I know a Celesti.
- 23:31Speaker 5: And also this, this wouldn't even be weird to me
- 23:34Speaker 5: that they named their kids Celestial.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No, that's something they would.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Do for sure. But he went on to say, no,
- 23:40Speaker 5: that's not her name. Her mom is going to tell
- 23:42Speaker 5: you the name when we're ready.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I could see them naming their kid like Socrates,
- 23:47Speaker 2: Gene Simmons, Billy, Bob Thornton.
- 23:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I was thinking just naming
- 23:52Speaker 1: it one of those. My name is today's variety Big
- 24:00Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 24:01Speaker 5: We do still have that winter storm morning until seven
- 24:04Speaker 5: o'clock tonight, could see four to eight inches of snow.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It kind of feels like it's gonna miss us.
- 24:08Speaker 5: But everything I'm seeing on the radar looks like it's
- 24:11Speaker 5: coming our way.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Brace yourselves. Hopefully not though, hopefully it's not too bad.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I know we need the moisture, but we'll kind of
- 24:17Speaker 1: wait and see.
- 24:18Speaker 5: There are some rural schools in Lakes Country that are
- 24:20Speaker 5: doing e learning days. You can get that full list
- 24:22Speaker 5: at Big nine eighty seven dot com thanks to Gateway
- 24:24Speaker 5: Collision Center.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Lo what.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Just every time you hear this it makes me laugh?
- 24:33Speaker 3: Oh?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Okay, well, are you? Are you much of I shouldn't
- 24:38Speaker 2: call it this, but are you do you? Are you
- 24:39Speaker 2: a fan of garbage TV? Is what I call it
- 24:41Speaker 2: at our house?
- 24:42Speaker 1: Oh? Yes, trash TV? Yeah, I love it. Well.
- 24:45Speaker 2: My wife went down in the big giant rabbit hole
- 24:49Speaker 2: of Love Is Blind, especially the Minneapolis cast that just
- 24:53Speaker 2: came out. She's watching podcasts on YouTube about like post
- 24:58Speaker 2: show stuff.
- 24:59Speaker 1: She's really delevant.
- 25:00Speaker 5: I am shocked that I have not gotten into Love
- 25:03Speaker 5: Is Blind, because I would. I've never watched it at all,
- 25:09Speaker 5: but I know I would love it. I'm still doing
- 25:11Speaker 5: like the old school Bachelor, you know, like I'm still
- 25:14Speaker 5: watching that, and remember I'm here for the old Love,
- 25:16Speaker 5: the Golden Bachelor and bachelorette.
- 25:18Speaker 1: That is my favorite. Well, good news for you, Amanda.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Hopefully this is never the case, but if you do,
- 25:24Speaker 2: have to get on into the dating apps again. Love
- 25:28Speaker 2: is Blind has inspired the newest one.
- 25:32Speaker 5: No, and that sounds awful. But I have a lot
- 25:35Speaker 5: of single friends, so let's discuss. Tell me so this
- 25:38Speaker 5: is like the new So I don't know if bumbles
- 25:41Speaker 5: still a thing. Tinder I think is still around, but
- 25:44Speaker 5: Hinge is the one that a couple of my.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Friends are on.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Okay, that's the pop. I'm like the pop, the pop
- 25:50Speaker 2: and one. Okay, I guess well, love is blind. There's
- 25:54Speaker 2: a dating app called Tribal and they promise which is
- 26:00Speaker 2: a bold claim, but they promise a match without seeing
- 26:05Speaker 2: your partner's face. Kind of a lot like the garbage
- 26:08Speaker 2: TV that my wife watches.
- 26:11Speaker 1: What do you so?
- 26:13Speaker 5: You match with somebody based on your interests all of that.
- 26:16Speaker 5: So it's like a it's a it's a blind date
- 26:19Speaker 5: kind of situation.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly kind of what it sounds like.
- 26:22Speaker 2: There's the dating app blurs a user's profile photos for
- 26:27Speaker 2: seventy two hours. The feature basically is encouraging, as you
- 26:32Speaker 2: could guess, encouraging daters to focus on the person behind
- 26:35Speaker 2: the screen. I like this get into maybe some deeper
- 26:38Speaker 2: conversations that lead to more meaningful interactions.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but can.
- 26:42Speaker 5: You can you imagine you've given your soul to this
- 26:47Speaker 5: person you're telling them all you're you. It's seventy two
- 26:50Speaker 5: hours in and you're just like, oh my gosh, I
- 26:54Speaker 5: love going to the lake. I love spending my time
- 26:57Speaker 5: doing this, and these are all my favorite hobbies. You
- 26:59Speaker 5: guys are everything is great yep, and then poof the
- 27:03Speaker 5: face shows up and you just you never talk God,
- 27:07Speaker 5: oh no, and you just never talked to them again.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I mean, how do you? How do you back out
- 27:12Speaker 1: of that?
- 27:13Speaker 2: It's terrible that there is no way that they think
- 27:17Speaker 2: this legitimately will work.
- 27:18Speaker 5: I understand the concept. I do appreciate that, I really
- 27:23Speaker 5: really do. I think that it's good to maybe swipe
- 27:25Speaker 5: through because maybe there is somebody that you you it
- 27:29Speaker 5: got a deeper level, and then you go, you know what.
- 27:31Speaker 5: You might not be what I was wanting, but we
- 27:35Speaker 5: have a lot in common.
- 27:37Speaker 1: So I could grow to like you. It does not
- 27:41Speaker 1: sound good, No, I know what you're trying.
- 27:44Speaker 5: To Those personalities make them attractive. I know what you
- 27:48Speaker 5: were trying to do there. You basically said, Hey, I
- 27:52Speaker 5: kind of think you're ugly, but I'll give this a shot.
- 27:54Speaker 5: That's what you were trying to say.
- 27:56Speaker 1: But is there anything wrong with that? No, there's nothing.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I hope people use Tribal find the love of their
- 28:02Speaker 2: life and it works out. I genuinely hope that for people.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I hope that for everybody. But the idea that you
- 28:08Speaker 2: think you can fall in love with a computer screen
- 28:11Speaker 2: somebody behind it and is your wild?
- 28:15Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I have a feeling this is gonna take people to
- 28:18Speaker 5: the next level, some of these people who maybe wouldn't
- 28:21Speaker 5: have been able to find love, but it also might
- 28:23Speaker 5: hurt your feelings.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yes, yes, How does it work? All right?
- 28:28Speaker 2: It uses a compatibility based matching system, connecting users based
- 28:32Speaker 2: on shared values, interests, and communication styles.
- 28:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 28:37Speaker 5: I already got a message here from Liz. She goes,
- 28:39Speaker 5: you need to watch Love Is Blind. Is this gonna
- 28:41Speaker 5: hook me? I bet it is.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I get in secondhand embarrassment watching shows like that, because
- 28:47Speaker 2: it's like you're an adult acting like this on TV
- 28:49Speaker 2: for a billion people to see. I have a hard
- 28:51Speaker 2: time sitting through that. Oh see, I live for that.
- 28:54Speaker 5: And then also, are you like my husband who's like,
- 28:56Speaker 5: oh my gosh, I can't believe you're watching that, And
- 28:58Speaker 5: he's like, oh my god, did you see that's? Ruh?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Did you know what Sarah was doing?
- 29:03Speaker 2: No, Well, Corey's watching these and I'm on my phone.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm genuinely not pick I can't do it.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Today's arriety big ninety eight point seven.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Well, it's kind of the calm before the storm. We're
- 29:16Speaker 5: still under that winter storm warning until seven o'clock. Snow
- 29:18Speaker 5: still very likely, four to eight inches still possible throughout
- 29:21Speaker 5: the day.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Do you remember the last time a song got stuck
- 29:25Speaker 1: in your head?
- 29:25Speaker 5: Oh gosh, I just had a six year old birthday
- 29:28Speaker 5: party at my house.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Sure? I forgot about that? You're right?
- 29:32Speaker 5: It was, and I am terrible and they were making
- 29:35Speaker 5: fun of me because I can't apatah we.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Play it, I just say apartment, which is what it means,
- 29:42Speaker 1: seat face, kiss, seat face, I mean, And I'm like, I.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Heard that on repeat for almost twenty four hours.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Sure, I don't know if I would say I get
- 29:54Speaker 2: songs stuck in my head. I feel like I get
- 29:56Speaker 2: certain lines stuck in my head? You know, say the
- 29:59Speaker 2: same too, things like all day Supposedly getting a song
- 30:04Speaker 2: is out or out of your head that feels stuck
- 30:07Speaker 2: or an earworm as they call it. Yeah, is a
- 30:09Speaker 2: lot easier than we think.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Oh every time, if you just hear like a little bit,
- 30:14Speaker 5: or my husband will start singing something and it's within earshot,
- 30:18Speaker 5: then I start, you know, a minute, and singing it
- 30:21Speaker 5: for days.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Well, if you are in a situation where you really
- 30:24Speaker 2: want to get a song stuck out of your head,
- 30:26Speaker 2: here's something I had never thought of or heard to do,
- 30:29Speaker 2: but it could work for you. Chewing gum, all right,
- 30:33Speaker 2: Chewing chewing gum will And this is from a doctor
- 30:37Speaker 2: ties up what we call the sort of articulatory motor
- 30:43Speaker 2: planning system.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Say that three times fast.
- 30:46Speaker 2: In order to mentally rehearse words or songs, we need
- 30:49Speaker 2: to actually kind of mentally sing them. So if you're
- 30:52Speaker 2: using your mouth, you can't actually fully mentally sing them.
- 30:56Speaker 5: If you're chewing gum, that is really interesting. Now, well,
- 31:00Speaker 5: I wish that I had a piece of gum. I'm
- 31:02Speaker 5: gonna try that. That is hilarious, Okay.
- 31:04Speaker 2: And then I think these other ones probably you probably
- 31:06Speaker 2: have heard of her are familiar with. But listen to
- 31:10Speaker 2: or sing the entire song, not the three words you
- 31:14Speaker 2: keep singing over and over and over, which I am
- 31:17Speaker 2: incredibly guilty of. I'll just sing the little, the rhyming
- 31:20Speaker 2: portion that I think sounds cool, right, you know, So
- 31:23Speaker 2: listen to the entire song, or sing the entire song
- 31:27Speaker 2: if you can.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Who knew? Yeah right, I'm a little fact here.
- 31:31Speaker 2: This is one you kind of mentioned, but listen to
- 31:33Speaker 2: something completely different sounding you'd sort of mention that if
- 31:36Speaker 2: you just hear anything else, that can kind of take
- 31:38Speaker 2: your mind off of it. And then finally, this is great,
- 31:42Speaker 2: This is my favorite one on the list.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Just ignore it? Oh just ignore it? How right?
- 31:52Speaker 2: I mean, come on, I was doing some research on that.
- 31:55Speaker 2: It literally that is advice.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Ignore it. Just sing it all day forever.
- 31:59Speaker 5: I recommend just put your fingers in your ears and
- 32:01Speaker 5: going no, no, no, no, put them on now,
