- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:45Hi, it's Adam here. And in this hypnosis session,
- 0:49you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session created for a
- 0:53client that had extreme anxiety, particularly related to medical
- 1:00appointments. So things like.
- 1:02A blood pressure. Test or a blood.
- 1:05Test or just. Routine check UPS would actually
- 1:08get them on edge and this client handled this situation the way
- 1:13that most people with anxiety handle it, and that is that they
- 1:17avoid it if they possibly can. But the problem with that is
- 1:20that every time you avoid something or if it feels too
- 1:25anxious, you get yourself out of that situation.
- 1:28It inadvertently increases the sensitivity and the probability
- 1:33that the next time you're going to be.
- 1:34Triggered. Even more so, this uses the
- 1:39opposite mentality, this idea that if you do the thing that
- 1:44causes the anxiety, then the anxiety will start to fade away.
- 1:49The comfort zone will expand. It's really the.
- 1:52Essence to this and it does utilize a military metaphor
- 1:57metaphor. So you can think of sometimes
- 2:01people will say like they're they're battling with mental
- 2:04health. You know, there's an unconscious
- 2:07military metaphor going on there.
- 2:09So we harness that and it's about having a warrior mentality
- 2:13and warriors are known for their courage or their bravery.
- 2:18So it looks at something which, yes, the anxiety may be real,
- 2:22but by doing the thing anyway, it means that it reduces future
- 2:28anxiety and also gives them a sense of pride and
- 2:31accomplishment. So there's a metaphor of a
- 2:34comfort zone, there's a metaphor of battles.
- 2:37And you'll hear the very key suggestion in this hypnosis
- 2:41session, which is the only way to lose the battle is to either
- 2:45avoid it or retreat. So feel the anxiety and then run
- 2:49away. But if you just do the thing and
- 2:53you experience the anxiety, all anxiety is temporary.
- 2:56It's just waves that come and then they go.
- 2:59Then that's a victory. And the more victories you have,
- 3:03the more the comfort zone expands and the less likely you
- 3:05are to have any anxiety in the future.
- 3:08And that's the core to this hypnosis session.
- 3:10So if you have anxiety, and it doesn't have to be medical
- 3:14anxiety, by the way, this uses a metaphor.
- 3:16So anything that triggers your anxiety will still benefit from
- 3:21this hypnosis session. Then I think you'll really get
- 3:24some value. If you do like the idea of
- 3:26working with me directly, there will be a link in the show notes
- 3:30where you can schedule a completely free consultation
- 3:33call to explore working with me directly.
- 3:36For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:39won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 4:09Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in.
- 4:19Then calm, relaxing, resourceful breath.
- 4:27And as you exhale, just allow any feelings of worry, stress or
- 4:34tension to feel like it's leaving your body in that
- 4:42outward breath, enabling you to feel deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 4:50And with your eyes feeling heavier and heavier eyelids
- 4:58wanting to help you drift into that place that we can call
- 5:03relaxation. Notice with every outward breath
- 5:11that you allow yourself to drift deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 5:18And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 5:31And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 5:41And and as you listen to the sound of my voice, you may
- 5:48notice how some thoughts become clearer while others just drift
- 5:55away. And the more you try to focus,
- 6:01the more your mind may wonder. Just like clouds in the sky,
- 6:11drifting, shifting, disappearing.
- 6:16And you may be wondering now whether your breathing is
- 6:20slowing or if it's simply that your awareness is changing.
- 6:32And as you notice what you're noticing, you may start to
- 6:40wonder, was it your left hand or your right hand that just began
- 6:46to feel just slightly heavier? And in this strange moment of
- 6:55not knowing exactly what to focus on, your unconscious mind
- 7:04begins to pay even more attention to exactly what it
- 7:11needs to hear. So now begin to turn your
- 7:18attention inward and allow the muscles around your eyes to
- 7:26soften as if they no longer need to do anything at all.
- 7:35Just let that comfort drift down across your face, releasing any
- 7:43tension in your jaw, with your tongue resting gently in your
- 7:49mouth. And maybe you can feel your
- 7:57shoulders release as if a burden has been lifted, and notice with
- 8:08each breath your chest and belly rise and fall with increasing
- 8:15ease. And as you exhale now, just feel
- 8:25that relaxation spreading down through your arms, into your
- 8:32hands, into every finger, let your back relax your legs, all
- 8:43the way down, deep down to your feet.
- 8:48And with each moment, each breath, you are becoming more
- 8:58relaxed and yet also more aware. And as I count down from 5 to 1,
- 9:13you'll begin to notice yourself drifting even deeper.
- 9:19Not because you're trying, but because you're allowing 5.
- 9:28The body rests more fully. And four, your mind opens just
- 9:34like a door. And three, you can go deeper
- 9:41with every sound that you hear. And then two, imagine everything
- 9:50is fading away now. And one, you are now in that
- 9:57perfect place between awareness and transformation.
- 10:03Some people call that hypnosis, imagination, a state of reverie.
- 10:11But just feel that wonderful feeling of a combination of
- 10:16relaxation and focus. And in this place, you could
- 10:25imagine your subconscious mind like fertile soil in which seeds
- 10:32of ideas can be planted from this point forwards, Every time
- 10:41anxiety appears, you smile slightly, because you know this
- 10:51is the edge of your comfort zone.
- 10:56You lean in, not away, because you now understand that what you
- 11:05resist persists and what you embrace dissolves.
- 11:16And if your mind that in a dialogue says I can't imagine
- 11:22immediately responding with if I can't, then I must.
- 11:31As you make the assessment that anxiety is no longer the enemy,
- 11:40it's the energy of growth awakening within you.
- 11:46It's how you become mentally stronger by walking into the
- 11:53void rather than running away from it.
- 11:59In fact, you now move through discomfort like a warrior walks
- 12:06through fog, undaunted, clear and committed.
- 12:15In fact, the only battle that you can lose is the one you
- 12:22don't fight. And you have now chosen to show
- 12:27up fully. And as you step forward, you
- 12:34feel anxiety. Step back and retreat because
- 12:42action is your antidote. You now associate fear with
- 12:50fuel. The more you feel it, more power
- 12:56you unlock and unleash. You welcome challenges like
- 13:05training grounds because every challenge expands your capacity
- 13:19deeper and deeper. Relaxed, you no longer avoid
- 13:27escape or retreat. You breathe, find that
- 13:34resourceful centre within and advance.
- 13:41Courage flows through you like a current.
- 13:46You only need to act and the rest follows because discomfort
- 13:56now means growth and you are addicted to growth, addicted to
- 14:04expanding your comfort zone. I want you to think back to
- 14:11recent times where you could have retreated but didn't,
- 14:19coming to the irrefutable conclusion that these were
- 14:24victories. You treat them as victories
- 14:30because that is exactly what they are.
- 14:34You are expanding your comfort zone.
- 14:40You may even laugh at hesitation because you now know the truth.
- 14:47You are born to move forwards. Anxiety is not the enemy.
- 14:56It's the Canary in the coal mine, a clue to let you know if
- 15:02you've expanded your comfort zone sufficiently wide.
- 15:06And when the anxiety goes away, that lets you know and lets you
- 15:14know that your comfort zone has expanded sufficiently so this no
- 15:20longer becomes an issue. So when you feel anxious, you
- 15:27treat it like an opportunity to expand that comfort zone.
- 15:32This is a moment to rise, and every step outside your comfort
- 15:41zone makes any future steps easier, calmer, and more
- 15:47powerful. I want you to say the words.
- 15:52Bring it on in a confident tone of voice there in your inner
- 15:57dialogue. Bring it on.
- 16:02And imagine having that bring it on energy to any situation that
- 16:08in the past would have caused anxiety.
- 16:10Now you are fearless in battle because you trust yourself to
- 16:17handle it. You either get the victory or
- 16:21the wisdom, and the wisdom is just another victory because
- 16:27there is a warrior within you that fears nothing.
- 16:34Allow that part to take the lead and don't be surprised if your
- 16:42posture, your breathing, your inner dialogue, it becomes
- 16:49aligned and congruent with that warrior mentality.
- 16:56I'll handle it. Nothing will stop me doing this.
- 17:03And every time that in a dialogue is in a courageous,
- 17:08confident tonality, the warrior within becomes stronger and the
- 17:16part of you that wanted to avoid or retreat gets weaker.
- 17:26Doing The thing is what brings more confidence.
- 17:33Courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to
- 17:38take action in the face of anxiety and adversity.
- 17:49So take a deep breath in realizing that every breath you
- 17:54take fuels you with resourcefulness, and every
- 18:00breath you release releases doubt, unlocking limitless
- 18:08courage. Because you don't have to wait
- 18:11to feel brave. Acknowledge the anxiety, do the
- 18:18thing, and bravery meets you into these mini battles.
- 18:27From this point on, anxiety and the triggers of the past are not
- 18:34a wall, not a deterrent. They are a doorway.
- 18:40A doorway that leads to a future without this anxiety.
- 18:48And I want you to imagine picturing A doorway now, perhaps
- 18:53in a hospital or a clinic, perhaps somewhere else.
- 19:02And I want you to imagine you've spent a year seeking out the
- 19:09edge of your comfort zone, and you're going to visit that
- 19:13version of you a year from now as an invisible observer.
- 19:21You're about to see that version of you that has faced anxiety
- 19:29and overcome it again and again and again.
- 19:35You're about to see the version of you where the comfort zone is
- 19:38so wide, hardly anything phases you anymore.
- 19:46So walk through that door and I want you to see yourself in the
- 19:51very environment that in the past would have triggered you.
- 19:56But as you see that future version of you, it no longer
- 20:01does. I want you to see see yourself
- 20:07doing something. That gives you irrefutable
- 20:11evidence that the anxiety is gone and is gone for good.
- 20:17Because if you can do that thing, you can do anything.
- 20:24See that future version of you giving you convincing evidence
- 20:29that the fear is gone. And when you've seen that future
- 20:34version of you doing that thing and not doing it reluctantly,
- 20:38not doing it in a way where it's under duress, see yourself doing
- 20:45it in a cool, calm, confident way, completely unflappable,
- 20:51unfazed. And when you see the future
- 20:54version of you doing it in that way, let me know by nodding your
- 20:59head. That's it.
- 21:07And then step into that future version of you to get a feeling,
- 21:13a taste of how it will be, and imagine doing whatever The thing
- 21:18is with the energy of pure confidence and calmness like
- 21:25it's nothing. And when you're experiencing it
- 21:32like it's happening in the present in a way that doesn't
- 21:35bother you, phase you, or cause any anxiety, I mean, no.
- 21:41But nodding your head, that's it.
- 21:46And I want you to consider this not a possibility or even a
- 21:54probability. This is now your destiny.
- 21:59This is now inevitable because as you expand the comfort zone,
- 22:05this is where it's taking you to this future.
- 22:10A future where you don't need courage and bravery anymore
- 22:15because it doesn't 'cause you anxiety anymore.
- 22:22Allow this future resourceful state to be planted as a seed in
- 22:28your deep subconscious mind, knowing that every time you face
- 22:34anxiety, you are walking a step closer to this future.
- 22:42But I want you to leave this place back through that same
- 22:45door. And I want you to feel it's time
- 22:48to return back to the here and now.
- 22:50But taking this feeling and this strategy, this warrior mentality
- 22:57of bring it on, nothing will deter me all the way back into
- 23:03the here and now with a desire to seek out those very places,
- 23:12people or environments that in the past would have caused
- 23:17anxiety to train your brain to expand that comfort zone.
- 23:25And maybe you have an idea of one or two things you could do
- 23:30in the next few weeks that would already start to expand your
- 23:34comfort zone to make you feel more confident, courageous to
- 23:42train the warrior within. But it's time to return to the
- 23:47here and now. So take a deep breath in through
- 23:49your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:55Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 23:57Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 24:03from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 24:06Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 24:16Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910.
- 24:20Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
