- 0:09Speaker 2: How you doing, I'm doing well. Thanks for having us.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's always great to have you guys in here.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a lot of fun and we get to talk
- 0:15Speaker 1: about tires and things that go on your vehicles and
- 0:19Speaker 1: things that make your vehicles run, mainly tyres, and of
- 0:22Speaker 1: course of the occasional oil change and a few other
- 0:25Speaker 1: things too. Now you have two business you have two
- 0:27Speaker 1: places of business. Tell everybody where we can find you.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got two locations here in Barsville. We'd love
- 0:32Speaker 3: to see it either one of them. The first ones
- 0:34Speaker 3: downtown at Southwest Frank Phillips I'm seven hundred Southwest Frank Phillips,
- 0:38Speaker 3: just next to slumber Jay or Taco's Pacheetahs. And then
- 0:41Speaker 3: we're now on the highway as well at thirteen hundred
- 0:43Speaker 3: Southeast Frank phil or Washington Boulevard. I'm so two convenient
- 0:47Speaker 3: locations and we hope to keep it simple and easy
- 0:50Speaker 3: for you.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Well, so far, so good day. You've had a steady
- 0:53Speaker 1: stream of clients, folks, who have come in who've been
- 0:57Speaker 1: familiar with your family's business prior to this iteration, which
- 1:01Speaker 1: is fast Track. And it's amazing because I'll tell folks,
- 1:05Speaker 1: I've seen it right up front over here on Frank Phillips.
- 1:08Speaker 1: A couple of ladies came in and they were talking about,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know how nice it was to see it eight
- 1:14Speaker 1: again and make sure that the tires were going to
- 1:17Speaker 1: go round and round.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been so much fun seeing everybody again and
- 1:22Speaker 3: catching up with people. I actually got to talk to
- 1:25Speaker 3: a gentleman two weeks ago that bought his first set
- 1:28Speaker 3: of tires from my grandpa in the seventies.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:30Speaker 3: So we're going back fifty years now, and that's back
- 1:33Speaker 3: to the Tasco days.
- 1:35Speaker 2: So set fifty years.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Of being in Bartlesville and serving people and taking care
- 1:38Speaker 3: of their vehicles.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Nice and very nice indeed, and of course new customers
- 1:42Speaker 1: each and every day. Folks will hear about the fast
- 1:46Speaker 1: Track service that you're not going to spend a half
- 1:48Speaker 1: a day waiting on getting your wheels going. And it's
- 1:54Speaker 1: a very pleasant experience all the way around, everything from
- 1:57Speaker 1: the gourmet popcorn to the speed and accuracy the service.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we try to make it as easy as possible
- 2:03Speaker 3: and fun. Yeah, and we have a great time doing it.
- 2:06Speaker 3: We love serving people, We love the work we do.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And you know, everything in our world is set up
- 2:12Speaker 3: for the customer, and so everything we do for the
- 2:15Speaker 3: community and we do for our customers, it's to make
- 2:18Speaker 3: it as easy as possible for you. We know it's
- 2:20Speaker 3: not fun to go get your old change, it's not
- 2:22Speaker 3: fun to have a flat tire, so we fix flats
- 2:24Speaker 3: for free. We make sure we get your old changes
- 2:26Speaker 3: done as quick as possible, so that.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Way you don't have to plan a whole day for it.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Our half day for it.
- 2:31Speaker 3: You come in, we get you in and out, and
- 2:33Speaker 3: you're back on the road and you can still have
- 2:35Speaker 3: time for lunch on a lunch break.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. It's real easy. Now. The new
- 2:39Speaker 1: location out there on Washington, that's a very very ultraump modern.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It's going to take other folks to a few years
- 2:48Speaker 1: to catch up that space age you got going on
- 2:51Speaker 1: out there. Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You know, obviously we've been in the business for a
- 2:54Speaker 3: little bit and we've learned the best way and the
- 2:57Speaker 3: most efficient way for customers to be able to to
- 3:00Speaker 3: use our services.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So we have a quick Clube out there the show room.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Everything in that store is very, very nice, and we're
- 3:07Speaker 3: very proud of it. But one of the things we're
- 3:09Speaker 3: most excited about is the quick loub And this is
- 3:11Speaker 3: new for Bartlesville. Because you have to plan a ride
- 3:14Speaker 3: or you have to plan to drop your car off
- 3:16Speaker 3: and it takes half a day, that's not the case
- 3:19Speaker 3: with us. You can pull your own vehicle into our bay,
- 3:21Speaker 3: sit in it, stay on the phone on your zoom meeting,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and we can do the oil change while while you're while,
- 3:26Speaker 3: you never leave the.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Vehicle, and it takes us ten to twenty minutes.
- 3:30Speaker 1: That's it. That's it. It'll only take you twenty minutes
- 3:33Speaker 1: if you're having a rough time getting a filter off.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Exactly, exactly.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, we were bragging today amongst each other of who
- 3:41Speaker 3: has the best the quickest oil change, and I think
- 3:44Speaker 3: the record that we discussed today with six minutes.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So wow, that's great. That is great. That's why they
- 3:51Speaker 1: call them fast track tire in service because they are
- 3:54Speaker 1: going to get you in their speedy but you're not
- 3:56Speaker 1: going to skimp on the quality or precision of the
- 3:59Speaker 1: work either. No, it's maastering both tack accuracy and speed.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And I got to explain this. We had leadership Barbersville
- 4:08Speaker 3: come to our store today to tour and we had
- 4:10Speaker 3: an opportunity to show them around and they asked that
- 4:12Speaker 3: exact exact same question, Well, if you go fast, you
- 4:15Speaker 3: ever worry about the quality? And I got to explain
- 4:18Speaker 3: it this way. And I only know this because of
- 4:20Speaker 3: the world we live in. But when pilots are working
- 4:23Speaker 3: and they're working with a co pilot, they communicate and
- 4:26Speaker 3: then the co pilot has to communicate exactly.
- 4:29Speaker 2: What he said back to them.
- 4:30Speaker 3: And that's a very simple process that we've taken on.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And so when our guys are communicating amongst each other,
- 4:37Speaker 3: because we have two, three, four guys working on a
- 4:39Speaker 3: vehicle once, the communication has to be perfect. And so
- 4:42Speaker 3: the guy communicates, hey, you're clear to drain, and then the.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Guy up top communicates back to him, clear to drain.
- 4:47Speaker 2: So that way we can work quick and not have
- 4:50Speaker 2: any airs.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Oh wow, that is amazing. I didn't know that. See
- 4:54Speaker 1: the more you know folks fast track at tire in
- 4:58Speaker 1: Service and of course you know I I really love
- 5:01Speaker 1: the one on the west side of town on Frank
- 5:03Speaker 1: Phillips because you know, it kind of takes me back
- 5:06Speaker 1: to my period time last century a little bit. But
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm not going to stay there for very long. You know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm going to be there maybe ten twenty minutes and
- 5:16Speaker 1: that's it. I'm back out out there on the road.
- 5:18Speaker 1: But it's always a nice visit. It's comfortable and big
- 5:22Speaker 1: screen TV. Folks. I'm not saying go there and camp out.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's going to be an easy ten
- 5:28Speaker 1: or twenty. We try to make it easy, very easy.
- 5:32Speaker 3: We've got the amenities the popcorn you mentioned earlier.
- 5:35Speaker 2: We're proud of our popcorn.
- 5:36Speaker 3: But everything that we do in our stores is set
- 5:39Speaker 3: up for making it.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Easy to do business with us. Yeah, it is, and
- 5:43Speaker 1: it very much so is. Now we do have our
- 5:46Speaker 1: spring and summer coming up here, and booh boy, you
- 5:51Speaker 1: got to be ready for the road. You cannot roll
- 5:54Speaker 1: the dice on your tires when we're going to have precipitation.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It doesn't rain a whole lot, no home, but it
- 6:00Speaker 1: all comes down at once in the springtime, so it's
- 6:04Speaker 1: nothing to game with with. You got to check your try.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it's something we once again, we try to make
- 6:09Speaker 3: it as easy as possible. We do free inspections. It's quick,
- 6:12Speaker 3: it's easy. If you guys have any questions about your vehicle,
- 6:16Speaker 3: don't guess, don't assume. Bring it on in. We'll do
- 6:20Speaker 3: a free inspection. We won't just check your tires, We'll
- 6:22Speaker 3: check everything out for you and make sure your fluids,
- 6:24Speaker 3: everything's good for this spring weather coming up.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I can a vouch for this because my tires were worn,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but they were warn in kind of an odd way,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and I didn't notice. I mean I wouldn't know. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: just knew that well, it looked like they need replaced.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And you guys took a look at it, and they said,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you know, you got one wheel going this way and
- 6:45Speaker 1: one wheel go. It's subtle, but it's just enough to
- 6:49Speaker 1: really take the rubber off your tire and also affect
- 6:54Speaker 1: your gas mileage. And the next thing you know, that
- 6:56Speaker 1: thing got straightened out. And I want to tell you,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I thought I was dry in a new vehicle. I
- 7:01Speaker 1: guess it had been that bad for that long that
- 7:04Speaker 1: I didn't know.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Well, it's just one of those things, just a little
- 7:07Speaker 3: bit and you get used to it, and then all
- 7:10Speaker 3: of a sudden you get square squared away again and
- 7:12Speaker 3: everything just I mean, it fills a new vehicle.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It did, and you know I'm not going through tires
- 7:18Speaker 1: as much. I mean, trust me, I've got a I've
- 7:24Speaker 1: got a new driver in my house and uh we
- 7:29Speaker 1: we've got through that. Yeah, rear right tire. That's a
- 7:35Speaker 1: common one, especially one with young drivers. They hit many curbs,
- 7:39Speaker 1: every one of them, tore them babies the shreds. I
- 7:46Speaker 1: remember coming in with one and said, hey, look at
- 7:48Speaker 1: this one. It's good. It's like, oh my god. But anyway,
- 7:52Speaker 1: it's a it's always a good experience. And I'll tell
- 7:54Speaker 1: you what. It's easy on the wallet too. I know
- 7:58Speaker 1: that with fast Track you're got a lot of customers
- 8:01Speaker 1: and the volume takes care of that.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not here to be expensive. We want to
- 8:08Speaker 3: have the best service and have the best pricing in town.
- 8:11Speaker 3: And so Clay and I and team were constantly price
- 8:13Speaker 3: scraping making sure we're more than competitive because we want
- 8:16Speaker 3: to offer We want to be a one stop shop.
- 8:18Speaker 3: We want everybody know they can trust us and they
- 8:20Speaker 3: don't even have to double check after you do it
- 8:22Speaker 3: a couple of times with us, because you know we're
- 8:24Speaker 3: going to be fair and honest with you, and it's
- 8:25Speaker 3: going to be priced correctly.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Very good, you know, and it is. Otherwise I've probably
- 8:30Speaker 1: still be ball player. But he made it very easy.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And I got to tell you having two locations is great.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I don't know if there are plans for any more,
- 8:43Speaker 1: but if there are, I just imagine that's going to
- 8:46Speaker 1: be pretty darn cool. But right now, you got your
- 8:49Speaker 1: hands full with two locations. And I know that the
- 8:53Speaker 1: first location when you were first getting going, both of
- 8:56Speaker 1: you guys look like you lost fifteen pounds in the
- 8:58Speaker 1: first three weeks. You guys were hustling. It was you
- 9:02Speaker 1: didn't have any employees, just you do.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's one of my favorite stories that I get
- 9:06Speaker 3: to tell quite a bit. Clay and I opened that
- 9:09Speaker 3: store with less than a month's notice. We just wanted
- 9:12Speaker 3: to get off the sideline and back in the game.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So like, okay, we'll get going. We'll kind of have
- 9:16Speaker 2: a soft opening, and.
- 9:18Speaker 3: We expected to do three cars the entire day, and
- 9:21Speaker 3: it was like, Clay will be fine.
- 9:22Speaker 2: You and I got this. Yeah, we haven't done it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: In a few years.
- 9:25Speaker 2: We're a little rusty.
- 9:27Speaker 3: But and we had three cars before we opened, and
- 9:29Speaker 3: we were like, okay, here we go, and I mean,
- 9:31Speaker 3: I can't tell you how much it meant to Clay
- 9:32Speaker 3: and I that people would come right back to us.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But it was.
- 9:36Speaker 3: It was fun. And you know, I remember telling him,
- 9:40Speaker 3: I bet we do two three cars the whole the
- 9:42Speaker 3: whole day. He's like, I bet we're busy.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I was like, there's no way. And then three cars
- 9:46Speaker 2: before we opened. It was awesome.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You guys are going home only about long enough to
- 9:50Speaker 1: visit your clothes because you had to back and get
- 9:53Speaker 1: going because you still hadn't stocked to employees yet.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, we were well, and heck we we didn't have
- 9:59Speaker 3: the building set up. We still were stacking tires and
- 10:02Speaker 3: getting tires in and I remember the first day we opened,
- 10:05Speaker 3: we got a bunch of tires in and at the
- 10:07Speaker 3: end of the day, clayon I.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Kind of looked at each other was like, I'm not
- 10:10Speaker 2: doing this tonight.
- 10:11Speaker 3: So we woke up at four point thirty in the
- 10:12Speaker 3: morning and came back in so it could get them
- 10:14Speaker 3: stacked up before we opened again.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Good Gravy. We're talking with Mitcheer and he's with a
- 10:19Speaker 1: fast track tire and serves two locations, one on West
- 10:22Speaker 1: Frank Phillips, and the other on Washington Boulevard, both here
- 10:26Speaker 1: in Bartlesfield, and it is so refreshing to see businesses
- 10:31Speaker 1: take off and really just kind of zoom right into it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Because the family heritage and the family named it, that
- 10:40Speaker 1: helped a lot. But you know, seeing you guys expand
- 10:45Speaker 1: so rapidly, that's really it really says a lot about
- 10:49Speaker 1: our town and a lot about the quality of work
- 10:51Speaker 1: that you provide.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it says a lot about our town.
- 10:56Speaker 3: And I mean, to be honest, our grandpa and our
- 10:59Speaker 3: dad's it's a great reputation.
- 11:01Speaker 2: That Clay and I don't take lightly.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And we're proud of the legacy that our family has
- 11:05Speaker 3: left in Bartlesville. And people trust us to take care
- 11:08Speaker 3: of their vehicles and that's not something that everybody has.
- 11:11Speaker 3: And the response from Bartsville, it's been so cool to
- 11:14Speaker 3: see everybody come out and support us. And even people
- 11:17Speaker 3: that didn't come in and get an old change or anything,
- 11:20Speaker 3: they just came in and say, hey, we're glad you're
- 11:21Speaker 3: back and have some coffee or popcorn.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That all those visits mean the world to us.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And just seeing everybody again, this it's a special community
- 11:28Speaker 3: here in Bartlesville.
- 11:29Speaker 1: And you know, we get new people moving here all
- 11:31Speaker 1: the time, and we do. And if you're looking for
- 11:35Speaker 1: someplace to have your guy, I take care of your car,
- 11:40Speaker 1: let them be your guy. Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, I'm obviously biased on this one, but we'd love
- 11:45Speaker 3: to take care of anybody, and everybody gotta have your
- 11:47Speaker 3: guy exactly.
- 11:49Speaker 1: So you might as well go with the flow. Here is,
- 11:52Speaker 1: this is where it's at, and this is where it's happening.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Now do we have to schedule an appointment? I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 1: in some cases that's probably a real good idea. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 1: But with the oil change and stuff like that.
- 12:02Speaker 3: As fast as that happens it is, there's no appointment necessary.
- 12:06Speaker 3: You come in on your schedule when it's easiest for you,
- 12:09Speaker 3: and we get you taken care of. Like I said,
- 12:11Speaker 3: we just want to make life easy. Nobody's excited to
- 12:14Speaker 3: go get their old change to get a flat fix.
- 12:16Speaker 3: So as simple as we can make it, whenever you
- 12:18Speaker 3: have time, we'll get it taken care of. And we
- 12:21Speaker 3: our name says it. We're fast. We're gonna get you
- 12:23Speaker 3: in and out quick. I say it all the time.
- 12:25Speaker 3: If we were slow.
- 12:26Speaker 2: The jokes would be way too easy.
- 12:27Speaker 1: With our name. Oh so jolly, would that be just
- 12:30Speaker 1: a shooting fish in a barrel? Yeah, we're not getting
- 12:34Speaker 1: to even go there. So once again, what's the address
- 12:37Speaker 1: on Wa Bag? On?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Which one on Wa Bag?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I mean, I know at Washington.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, thirteen hundred southeast Washington Boulevard.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Sorry about that, I'm living in another town for a
- 12:46Speaker 1: couple of seconds. And over here on Frank Phillips and
- 12:50Speaker 1: give a couple of landmarks.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Yep, seven hundred southwest Frank Phillips. Were just west of
- 12:53Speaker 3: the downtown area. I'm just west of the tracks, next
- 12:56Speaker 3: to Slumber Day, the old Rita Pump and one of.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Our favorites, Tacos the Cheetahs.
- 13:00Speaker 1: There you go. I've been keeping you guys alive the
- 13:02Speaker 1: first Well. I thank you very much for coming in
- 13:08Speaker 1: and being a part of everything that we've got going
- 13:11Speaker 1: on here today, and of course being a part of
- 13:14Speaker 1: our one on one with the pro Really appreciate it,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and I wish you the best luck and can't wait
- 13:19Speaker 1: to get you guys back in here again and we'll
- 13:23Speaker 1: visit with you once again. I'll probably see you with
- 13:25Speaker 1: the next oil change coming up. I just took a
- 13:27Speaker 1: look at my last trap let's a trip back from
- 13:29Speaker 1: a Toka. We're close, We're real close. You got your Greek,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I got my guy. You gotta have your guy, all right.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Thank you guy, that's stay there.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Thank you.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Thanks for listening to one on one with a professional.
- 13:48Speaker 2: A paid presentation of fourteen hundred K one
