Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We are so excited to welcome Deanna to our podcast
- 0:08Speaker 2: today and for this podcast, we're going to chat all
- 0:12Speaker 2: about Charity's Men Tell all which uh Deanna and I
- 0:16Speaker 2: were lucky enough to be there for. That was so
- 0:19Speaker 2: much fun to see you and Doz obviously, but I
- 0:23Speaker 2: just I love our catch up sessions.
- 0:26Speaker 3: So I feel like it's always like a hard yes
- 0:29Speaker 3: anytime they asked me to come and record, because I'm like, oh,
- 0:32Speaker 3: I get to see my best friends, right right.
- 0:36Speaker 4: I mean, I'm just happy that they brought that they
- 0:38Speaker 4: brought back. I mean because Christa and I have talked
- 0:41Speaker 4: about this a bunch. She's always like, they never asked
- 0:42Speaker 4: me to come back. It's like, you know, so I'm
- 0:44Speaker 4: just really glad they brought you both back with Doz.
- 0:46Speaker 5: I think that's awesome.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I know we were having this conversation because you know
- 0:50Speaker 2: we obviously, Bob, you know this.
- 0:51Speaker 3: We get there all day, we hang out, we have drinks,
- 0:53Speaker 3: we get ready whatever. And they were as soon as
- 0:55Speaker 3: I walked in, I was the first one there and
- 0:57Speaker 3: they were.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Like, okay, this is your room. This one's Trista's room.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And then this one's Desiree's room. I'm like, we're all
- 1:02Speaker 2: going to be in the same room all day may right,
- 1:05Speaker 2: that is.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Exactly what we did.
- 1:06Speaker 3: We hung out all day long because we haven't seen
- 1:08Speaker 3: each other and sometimes so we all literally sat in
- 1:11Speaker 3: my green room and chatted and got ready together all
- 1:14Speaker 3: day long. So it was like, I mean, for me,
- 1:16Speaker 3: I was like, I would have done it for free.
- 1:17Speaker 3: But you know she will tell them.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so much fun. So welcome to the podcast. I'm
- 1:25Speaker 2: so excited to have you see you, at least see
- 1:28Speaker 2: you on the screen. And it was so much fun.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I just adore Charity, right.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah, she's super sweet, really seems really sweet.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I haven't watched I'm not the best Bachelorette fan in
- 1:49Speaker 3: the world because I do not spend my Monday nights
- 1:52Speaker 3: watching the show and I am not in several seasons,
- 1:55Speaker 3: so I was definitely playing catch up. But I just
- 1:57Speaker 3: thought she's just so sweet, and I would say after
- 2:00Speaker 3: meeting her in person, she is a true testament to
- 2:02Speaker 3: like who she was on television versus the same person
- 2:06Speaker 3: in person.
- 2:07Speaker 2: She's just so tiny, so tiny, she is tiny. I
- 2:10Speaker 2: feel like everyone always says that because they see you
- 2:14Speaker 2: on television, and especially for me, they're always like, whoa,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I just thought you were so much taller.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Actually, every time I showed my friends pictures of me
- 2:22Speaker 3: and you, they're like, oh my gosh, Trista is so
- 2:24Speaker 3: much shorter than you.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I was like, well, she's tiny too.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But yes, it was like, as Bob said, I have
- 2:33Speaker 2: mentioned it so many times on the podcast that I'm like,
- 2:36Speaker 2: did I do something wrong to somebody like executive producer, whatever?
- 2:44Speaker 2: And because I felt like they never asked me back,
- 2:48Speaker 2: and you know, usually it's like to give advice and listen,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I get it. The world has changed a whole lot
- 2:55Speaker 2: since Ryan and I got engaged and married and we
- 2:59Speaker 2: were on the show. But I'm like, you know, there
- 3:04Speaker 2: we have a little bit of knowledge I would hold
- 3:06Speaker 2: after almost twenty years of marriage. So I was really
- 3:09Speaker 2: thankful that they asked me back, and just so thankful
- 3:13Speaker 2: that they had you and does too, because they do
- 3:15Speaker 2: feel like, you know, on our little bachelorette group chat
- 3:19Speaker 2: text session sessions, it's like the three of us are
- 3:22Speaker 2: kind of the the ogs that are part of that.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I mean, I guess who was before you? Obviously Meredith
- 3:30Speaker 2: and Jen. So that billion you were the first. No,
- 3:34Speaker 2: Gillian was after me. I wasn't so you were the first,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and that it was, so it is you and then me.
- 3:40Speaker 2: So where they are legit the old gals, like the
- 3:44Speaker 2: old gus, original guys.
- 3:47Speaker 3: We are before they started forking out a lot of
- 3:49Speaker 3: money to do the show and going to these exceptional
- 3:53Speaker 3: like cows.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Like we went to Cabo y'all.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Yeah, hey, that would have been exotic for me.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I mean I always say, like we got on my
- 4:00Speaker 4: season of the Bachelor, we were at Snake River, oh Wyoming.
- 4:04Speaker 4: We went to Anchorage, Alaska, and then we did get
- 4:08Speaker 4: to go to Belize. But again, but all those trips
- 4:10Speaker 4: were like three days, you know, three.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Days a lot too, though, because the second I start
- 4:15Speaker 3: complaining about not going anywhere fun, She's like, girl, I
- 4:18Speaker 3: was in a hot tub in Seattle, and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 3: you got you got me.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 4: And I was on a hot tub at the base
- 4:23Speaker 4: of a hill in Anchorage, Alaska with no heat.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that sounds like worse.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Oh really, no bubbles but no heat, Like it wasn't
- 4:32Speaker 4: even a real hot tub. They fancied it out of
- 4:34Speaker 4: like a couple of inner tubes. I swear to.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Say this all the time because you guys know this.
- 4:39Speaker 3: On the show, a lot of people are always like,
- 4:40Speaker 3: oh my gosh, tell me how this person is, tell
- 4:42Speaker 3: me how trist it is.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Blah blah blahlah blah.
- 4:44Speaker 3: And I always remember when I was the bachelorette, I
- 4:47Speaker 3: had never seen the show before, and so I of
- 4:49Speaker 3: course like asked about prior people. And again, because I
- 4:52Speaker 3: was season four, there were only a handful of people
- 4:53Speaker 3: before me.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And I'll tell you what.
- 4:56Speaker 3: There was this one guy who was like the myth
- 4:59Speaker 3: and the legend, because everyone had a story about this one.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Guy, about how funny he was, about.
- 5:05Speaker 3: How outgoing he was, and also about how they used
- 5:08Speaker 3: to find him in women's bed in the middle of
- 5:11Speaker 3: the night and they were like, we had to keep.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Him on a tight lea. And I was like, this man,
- 5:14Speaker 2: this man, how did he.
- 5:16Speaker 4: I don't know why Grandma was doing that. Oh I
- 5:19Speaker 4: thought you made Graham bun Oh.
- 5:21Speaker 1: No, no, he's a solid dude.
- 5:24Speaker 2: No, Bob, we're referring to you in the metaphorical sense
- 5:28Speaker 2: that you you've got a pretty good, uh pretty good
- 5:32Speaker 2: uh story.
- 5:32Speaker 5: I don't I don't know if that's entirely true.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I think some of those details have gotten way better
- 5:37Speaker 4: with time, because I sure don't remember that stuff. I
- 5:40Speaker 4: don't remember getting a chance to see anybody throughout the
- 5:43Speaker 4: course of the season except the shell.
- 5:46Speaker 2: So I did kissing. He was the kissing bandit.
- 5:49Speaker 5: I was the kissing bandit.
- 5:50Speaker 4: But I do think some of that stuff has become
- 5:52Speaker 4: like folklore. Like I get asked about it sometimes and.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm like, we're that old, We're that old that we true,
- 5:58Speaker 2: you know.
- 5:59Speaker 5: I asked about it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Really funny you want to talk about folklore.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Okay, you guys also understand this because you're well married.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm no longer married. But children, you're doing the whole
- 6:10Speaker 3: parenting thing whatever. And Trista, I about died the other
- 6:13Speaker 3: day because I went to this fool party after school
- 6:15Speaker 3: with a bunch of moms from my kids elementary school.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Austin is in second grade and Addison is in fourth grade.
- 6:20Speaker 3: And so I am at this girl's house with a
- 6:23Speaker 3: couple of the other mom friends. We're all doing our
- 6:25Speaker 3: mom thing, you know, just being moms and stuff, and
- 6:29Speaker 3: none of them know who I am, you know what
- 6:31Speaker 3: I mean, Like I live just on the outside of
- 6:32Speaker 3: Los Angeles, and I feel like I live a pretty
- 6:34Speaker 3: like under the radar life. So I'm in full on
- 6:37Speaker 3: conversation with these women and in my normal pat no makeup,
- 6:43Speaker 3: they have no clue who I am. Right, So I'm
- 6:44Speaker 3: starting to get to know some of the other's moms.
- 6:46Speaker 3: The other moms sitting there, and this one lady's like, oh, so,
- 6:49Speaker 3: what did you do before you were a flight attendant?
- 6:51Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, well, it's always weird to
- 6:54Speaker 2: say what I did. I totally agree. You don't want
- 6:57Speaker 2: to sound like you're bragging, but you also know they
- 7:00Speaker 2: might know the show you know. So I'm all, well,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I had a small stint on reality TV. And the
- 7:06Speaker 2: girl's like, oh, my gosh, no way, I worked in
- 7:08Speaker 2: production in reality TV. And I was like, oh, no joke,
- 7:11Speaker 2: because yeah, I worked on the Bachelor.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And I was like, how do we not know each other?
- 7:17Speaker 3: And she was like, yeah, I only worked on one season.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, which season? And she goes Brad
- 7:21Speaker 3: Womac's first season and I was like, oh, you literally
- 7:25Speaker 3: do not recognize me and she was like, no, no,
- 7:27Speaker 3: I don't. And I was like, she was like, did
- 7:29Speaker 3: you go home on like night one and I was like, girl,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I was the final one and she was like, show up?
- 7:34Speaker 1: So that is that is so crazy?
- 7:37Speaker 4: I know.
- 7:38Speaker 3: So I literally she's like Google a photo and I
- 7:39Speaker 3: pull up the one photo and it's the very last
- 7:42Speaker 3: screenshot from the final day where I'm standing on the
- 7:44Speaker 3: podium and I got dragoned here coming down my face,
- 7:48Speaker 3: Brad wal Mac is rejecting me in front of America.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And she was like, oh, I was there. I thought
- 7:53Speaker 2: that was so devastating. And I was like, because it
- 7:56Speaker 2: was of trauma and abandonment, is that.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Why it shows you how much production truly cares about us, right,
- 8:05Speaker 4: like you're in the throes of all of this.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And she's like, no, you weren't there.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I didn't recognize you. She's the nicest lady, she was
- 8:12Speaker 3: super nice. We're friends now. She actually lives in a neighborhood.
- 8:14Speaker 2: But she was like, you also had to write all
- 8:17Speaker 2: of the storylines for every day. And I was like,
- 8:19Speaker 2: how do you not remember me? How you not know
- 8:21Speaker 2: who I am?
- 8:22Speaker 3: She was like, that's great photo of you somewhere on
- 8:23Speaker 3: my phone from fifteen years ago, and I was like
- 8:25Speaker 3: probably probably.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Wait, okay, so let's talk about mentell All. We were there,
- 8:33Speaker 2: but I have to say we were having so much fun,
- 8:37Speaker 2: like backstage, behind the scenes, getting ready, just catching up
- 8:40Speaker 2: and chatting and actually kind of getting filled in on
- 8:43Speaker 2: what we hadn't seen, because of course we're filming something
- 8:48Speaker 2: that would air later, and so we hadn't seen the
- 8:51Speaker 2: shows that had well, at least I hadn't because you
- 8:54Speaker 2: were watching, but.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I know, so we were.
- 9:02Speaker 2: We were backstage just having fun with Batman and some
- 9:06Speaker 2: of the producers, and so we didn't see anything. But
- 9:10Speaker 2: you've watched since, right, d well.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I in my defense, I did do a crash course
- 9:15Speaker 3: while I was getting ready to leave that day. I
- 9:16Speaker 3: kind of zipped through a few episodes and try to
- 9:18Speaker 3: hit some of the hot points so I could.
- 9:20Speaker 2: At least, But have you seen the mentel All. I
- 9:23Speaker 2: did the same thing today and fast forwarded through some
- 9:26Speaker 2: of the pieces. But in my defense, I was also like,
- 9:28Speaker 2: which ones are hot, which ones are going to be
- 9:30Speaker 2: there to, which ones.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Are going to go on?
- 9:35Speaker 3: How many roses will I receive tonight? You know what,
- 9:38Speaker 3: how this gonna work out for me totally?
- 9:41Speaker 2: So I just wanted to make sure because I'm pretty
- 9:43Speaker 2: sure Bob has not watched, So I'm just laying the groundwork.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I've watched mentel all. A couple of the things that
- 9:50Speaker 2: stood out were Xavier. So did you watch the Exavier part?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Remind me who Xavier is.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Xavier is the one who said he had been unfaced
- 10:00Speaker 2: ball in Fiji.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Oh yes, See, we have to figure out.
- 10:03Speaker 3: I'm one of those people that keep people in my
- 10:05Speaker 3: phone by like you know, like airport John, you know
- 10:09Speaker 3: what I mean. So we have to kind of describe
- 10:13Speaker 3: so like erring guy, I don't know his name, but
- 10:15Speaker 3: I know he was Braden Brady, and there was the
- 10:18Speaker 3: haughty firefighter and I only know him as the firefighter Darren.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Ryan Suter. This is this is how we have
- 10:27Speaker 1: to work.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Okay, Xavier, I did watch, I did watch his bit. Yeah, okay, good.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So it was just frustrating to me that Xavier told
- 10:37Speaker 2: her about his infidelity in Fiji during the overnights and
- 10:42Speaker 2: he hadn't told her beforehand. And I'm like that totally
- 10:46Speaker 2: took away time from anybody else getting time with her
- 10:51Speaker 2: in Fiji. Like she completely could have asked another guy
- 10:54Speaker 2: to come with her to Fiji, knowing that it would
- 10:57Speaker 2: definitely not have worked out. With Xavier because is like
- 11:00Speaker 2: her deal breaker, and I'm glad that she pointed that out.
- 11:05Speaker 2: She kind of put him in his place, and I'm
- 11:07Speaker 2: so glad she did. Like we were saying, especially you
- 11:10Speaker 2: were saying, you know you're strong, you are totally showing
- 11:13Speaker 2: that you're independent, you're a strong woman, and you stand
- 11:17Speaker 2: up for what you believe in. And I felt like
- 11:19Speaker 2: she totally did that. Like I was so proud of
- 11:21Speaker 2: her for saying, why didn't you say this earlier? Like
- 11:24Speaker 2: why did you waste my time? And I get it
- 11:29Speaker 2: that people make mistakes and he realizes that now he
- 11:33Speaker 2: actually went to therapy, he said, and is starting to
- 11:37Speaker 2: do the work that I feel like he should have
- 11:38Speaker 2: done after the infidelity before he came on the show.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But whatever, hindsight's twenty twenty. So I mean, people make mistakes,
- 11:46Speaker 2: understand that, But when you're in this arena and you
- 11:51Speaker 2: have all these other guys, like, you make mistakes. But
- 11:55Speaker 2: he didn't do anything to improve himself after he after
- 11:59Speaker 2: he did that, and.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I was just like, I want my devil's advocate. And
- 12:03Speaker 3: it'll be interesting hearing Bob's mail perspective on this too,
- 12:08Speaker 3: so we can all sympathize with the fact that he's young.
- 12:12Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Okay, Right, we've all been there, we've all seen it,
- 12:15Speaker 3: we've all done it. The other piece that we can
- 12:17Speaker 3: And again, I'm all for Charity and the way she's
- 12:19Speaker 3: handled everything, and I'm all for everything that she has
- 12:24Speaker 3: to do with the show.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And about her.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I was twenty four when I went on The Bachelor. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 3: twenty four is young. And even at twenty four, I
- 12:34Speaker 3: had the wherewithal to know that you don't go on
- 12:37Speaker 3: a date and air all of your dirty laundry and
- 12:39Speaker 3: your baggage right off the bat, because anyone get scared
- 12:42Speaker 3: away from that, right, No, I get that. Then you
- 12:44Speaker 3: add the concept of being on a television show, so
- 12:46Speaker 3: then he has to vocalize that, not just in front
- 12:49Speaker 3: of the crew, the other guys then is vocalizing that
- 12:55Speaker 3: for the rest of America to watch. The other piece
- 12:59Speaker 3: is and I think that some that we can all
- 13:00Speaker 3: find some Grayson, he likely spent two hours with her, y'all,
- 13:07Speaker 3: from that point to the point he got to Fiji.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It's not no, he had well, he had a one
- 13:11Speaker 2: on one date. So that's my problem is that those
- 13:14Speaker 2: dates Trista, you know those dates like you might have.
- 13:17Speaker 2: He had way more time than that. He had way more.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Hours on end with her. So there also was a
- 13:22Speaker 3: part of him too that like, he might not have
- 13:24Speaker 3: known where the relationship was heading. So why would he
- 13:27Speaker 3: be like, Hey, I'm a big old fat cheater and
- 13:29Speaker 3: I have a hard time.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Faithful, Like I don't. I don't think.
- 13:33Speaker 2: That. I think it's all in the delivery. And he
- 13:35Speaker 2: didn't deliver any of it, like I feel like he
- 13:38Speaker 2: could have very well, said listen. And they had talked
- 13:41Speaker 2: about infidelity before. It was not the first time they
- 13:43Speaker 2: had talked about it, so there was an end to
- 13:45Speaker 2: the conversation prior. So you hadn't watched the one on
- 13:48Speaker 2: one that they had been on, and it was it
- 13:50Speaker 2: was long. They had the entire day together in Fiji,
- 13:54Speaker 2: even even before that, and and going into that date
- 13:58Speaker 2: in Fiji, the nighttime date, he knew that infidelity was
- 14:03Speaker 2: a problem for her and so it's all about your delivery,
- 14:06Speaker 2: like you can say so in Fiji. Did you see
- 14:12Speaker 2: the way that he delivered it too? I did so
- 14:15Speaker 2: essentially he was like, so I cheated multiple times on
- 14:20Speaker 2: this on my girlfriend in the span of five hours
- 14:24Speaker 2: and I didn't do anything to better myself afterwards five days.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Over five days, he cheated multiple times and then he
- 14:34Speaker 2: was like, I didn't do anything to better myself after
- 14:38Speaker 2: it happened. I know it's going to be hard for
- 14:42Speaker 2: me to not do that again. He didn't say I
- 14:44Speaker 2: will not do that again if we are together. In
- 14:47Speaker 2: the end, he was like, it's going to be really
- 14:50Speaker 2: hard for me. And then she was like, well, here's
- 14:53Speaker 2: the card, and he was like, well, I need to
- 14:56Speaker 2: be in the fantasy suite, and essentially she took that
- 14:59Speaker 2: to mean that he wanted to have sex with her
- 15:01Speaker 2: just to see if they would laugh, and it ends
- 15:05Speaker 2: up in the mentell all he says like, I didn't
- 15:08Speaker 2: he clarified it, and he was like, it wasn't about
- 15:10Speaker 2: sex to me, it was just having time with you
- 15:14Speaker 2: alone without the cameras. But he didn't specify that, and
- 15:16Speaker 2: so she was like, I'm sorry, but you want me
- 15:19Speaker 2: to have sex with you when you just told me
- 15:20Speaker 2: that you might cheat on me, Like, why would I
- 15:23Speaker 2: do that?
- 15:24Speaker 3: I think he did say that if he chose to
- 15:27Speaker 3: be with someone to marry someone, he would have the
- 15:30Speaker 3: intentions to be faithful, so I want to just comment
- 15:33Speaker 3: on something else that you said about him not choosing
- 15:36Speaker 3: therapy before he came on the show, and I would
- 15:38Speaker 3: say that that's definitely something that you have to be
- 15:40Speaker 3: completely emotionally aware about and speak emotional stability and maturity
- 15:48Speaker 3: and all of those things. You have to want those
- 15:50Speaker 3: things before you seek out therapy. But I just think
- 15:53Speaker 3: across the board, the show in general should have people
- 15:56Speaker 3: going into therapy beforehand and coming out of the also
- 16:00Speaker 3: a piece of that totally, Like the production company is
- 16:02Speaker 3: to blame here, you know what I mean, Like, why
- 16:04Speaker 3: not make sure that they're all, you know, mentally stable
- 16:08Speaker 3: before they come on the show, and then let's make
- 16:10Speaker 3: sure they're also often too the free world.
- 16:12Speaker 2: No, it wasn't mentally stable. It wasn't about being mentally stable.
- 16:17Speaker 2: It was about how do I be in a committed
- 16:20Speaker 2: relationship and not be unfaithful. That's what she had a
- 16:24Speaker 2: problem with. It wasn't about like having a problem like
- 16:28Speaker 2: with his own mental health. It was about going to
- 16:32Speaker 2: therapy and working on commitment. The level of commitment. We're
- 16:36Speaker 2: all adults here, like, we're all over forty, Like I
- 16:39Speaker 2: feel like we have the wherewithal to understand that. Yeah,
- 16:42Speaker 2: but I'm putting myself in Charity's position, and I'm like,
- 16:45Speaker 2: if I'm Charity, then hell yes, I'm gonna be like,
- 16:48Speaker 2: what did you do? Like, you're on a show to
- 16:52Speaker 2: get married in the end. We're not on a show
- 16:55Speaker 2: to date each other at the end. We're on a
- 16:57Speaker 2: show to possibly get engaged. Like that's the end, and
- 17:01Speaker 2: there are multiple other people. So if you had this
- 17:06Speaker 2: issue in a previous relationship and it broke it up,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and you know that this is a really important thing
- 17:12Speaker 2: to me to be faithful in a relationship, obviously he
- 17:15Speaker 2: didn't know that going onto the show. But if he's
- 17:18Speaker 2: going on to it thinking he's going to be serious
- 17:21Speaker 2: and possibly get engaged to this woman, it's just like fine,
- 17:25Speaker 2: if you didn't do anything, then then maybe don't Maybe
- 17:30Speaker 2: don't like admit to that or something, or talk about
- 17:34Speaker 2: it when you're off camera or something. But I just
- 17:37Speaker 2: feel like he just he knew about this infidelity coming
- 17:42Speaker 2: into the show. He found out earlier that it was
- 17:46Speaker 2: a deal breaker for her or would be a really
- 17:49Speaker 2: really hard thing to get passed for her, and then
- 17:54Speaker 2: instead of like fessing up to it and being like,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I am so sorry that I did this to this woman.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm so remorseful. I want to be better. I want
- 18:03Speaker 2: to be committed to you. I am falling in love
- 18:05Speaker 2: with you. He was like, no, we're I really think
- 18:09Speaker 2: that we need time in the fantasy suite. And he
- 18:11Speaker 2: didn't justify that. He just wanted time alone with her,
- 18:14Speaker 2: not to just have sex, do you know what I mean?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Like it was all about the delivery.
- 18:29Speaker 5: I've got something to say. Do you want to get
- 18:31Speaker 5: a guy?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yes? Please?
- 18:33Speaker 1: So I kind of.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Agree with both of you actually in that I think
- 18:38Speaker 4: what Dianna's trying to say, which which I actually do
- 18:40Speaker 4: agree with. This part of it is a lot of
- 18:41Speaker 4: people don't necessarily go on to the show realizing that
- 18:44Speaker 4: they're going to fall in love, right, so I think
- 18:46Speaker 4: they go on to the show and you never know
- 18:49Speaker 4: the timeline, by the way, unless that was mentioned, but
- 18:51Speaker 4: I don't think you ever know the timeline of when
- 18:53Speaker 4: this happened in his relationship and when someone or he
- 18:57Speaker 4: submitted himself to be on the show and next thing
- 18:58Speaker 4: you know, I mean I turned around.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Time could have been a month.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Right, yeah, so he could have had this relationship split
- 19:03Speaker 4: up and then a month later all of a sudden boom,
- 19:04Speaker 4: he's on national TV, so maybe he didn't have a
- 19:06Speaker 4: chance to kind of dig into himself a little bit
- 19:08Speaker 4: and see where he was at with that whole thing.
- 19:11Speaker 4: But I was going to say, too, Trisy, You're right.
- 19:13Speaker 4: She did bring up that, you know, being faithful in
- 19:15Speaker 4: relationship was of paramount importance to her. And so he
- 19:18Speaker 4: did have a couple opportunities, especially that date in Fiji
- 19:21Speaker 4: when they hung out all day, that he could have
- 19:22Speaker 4: brought it up right.
- 19:23Speaker 5: He could have been like, look, I.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Got a kind of a complicated dating history or a
- 19:26Speaker 4: complicated relationship past. This happened in my relationship, and I
- 19:30Speaker 4: did this, and I did that. You know that that
- 19:32Speaker 4: would have been a much more opportunity time, because you're right,
- 19:35Speaker 4: he would have probably not ended up on the Fantasy suite.
- 19:40Speaker 5: And you know, but.
- 19:41Speaker 4: But then again another thing to think about too, And
- 19:43Speaker 4: I mean, you can I'd love to take this out
- 19:45Speaker 4: of the show, but it just exists.
- 19:47Speaker 5: It's a competition show.
- 19:49Speaker 4: And I know that I know that it's not, you know,
- 19:51Speaker 4: when we think about it, the grand scheme of things,
- 19:53Speaker 4: but it is.
- 19:54Speaker 3: You hear your perspective coming from a male's perspective, because
- 19:57Speaker 3: what I was the Christ was as a woman, Right,
- 20:00Speaker 3: I had the same train of thought when I went
- 20:02Speaker 3: into the show.
- 20:03Speaker 1: It was not about a competition. To me, it wasn't
- 20:05Speaker 1: about any other things other than the fact.
- 20:06Speaker 3: That, like, maybe I will truly meet the person that
- 20:08Speaker 3: I'm meant to be with, get engaged and.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Live happily in for after.
- 20:11Speaker 2: But I would in the defense, and maybe Bob can
- 20:15Speaker 2: speak to this, I wouldn't say that most men go
- 20:17Speaker 2: on to the show thinking that. Like, I wouldn't say
- 20:19Speaker 2: that most men are like, oh my god, see mom,
- 20:21Speaker 2: I'm about to meet my bride. Like, I don't think
- 20:23Speaker 2: that twenty something.
- 20:25Speaker 5: You know, it's funny that you say that.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Twenty years ago it was different. I mean the show
- 20:30Speaker 4: is different. The reaction of the public to the show
- 20:33Speaker 4: is different. I mean, you hear about some of these guys,
- 20:35Speaker 4: which we'll get to you later down the road, you know,
- 20:37Speaker 4: talking about endorsements before they're every event on the show. Right,
- 20:40Speaker 4: it's like in their Instagram set for their tooth whitening
- 20:43Speaker 4: kits or whenever they're gonna be puddling everyone.
- 20:45Speaker 5: So I mean, you know you hear about that. But yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 5: like when I remember when I went on the show,
- 20:49Speaker 5: I was open to falling in love.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I was open to, you know, meeting Tristan, and thankfully
- 20:54Speaker 4: I did, you know, and we fell in love.
- 20:55Speaker 5: And we're selling me.
- 20:57Speaker 1: That's how the two of you know each other.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yes, no, But.
- 21:00Speaker 5: It's so funny because when I went on a show,
- 21:03Speaker 5: it was like, you know, we went on.
- 21:04Speaker 4: With the mindset of you know, I was like, well,
- 21:06Speaker 4: I think she's really hot. I can't wait to meet her,
- 21:09Speaker 4: you know that, I mean her, I'm like, she's super cool.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I really like her.
- 21:12Speaker 4: But it was like our vibe and I trust to
- 21:14Speaker 4: Will attest to this because we talked.
- 21:16Speaker 5: About it for the last hundred years now.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Our vibe was always just like really great friendship vibe.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Like it wasn't a romantic vibe. And as much as
- 21:23Speaker 4: I care about her and did that and do now,
- 21:26Speaker 4: you know, I mean, I love her, but we didn't
- 21:28Speaker 4: fall in love in that relationship way.
- 21:29Speaker 5: And I think that you go on a show like that.
- 21:32Speaker 4: I didn't go on there with the attention of not
- 21:34Speaker 4: falling in love, but I didn't go on there with
- 21:35Speaker 4: the like I wasn't sitting at home just pining for
- 21:37Speaker 4: the weeks leading up to it, going oh my god,
- 21:39Speaker 4: I can't wait to get the show and fall in month.
- 21:40Speaker 5: You know, I was more like, I don't know what
- 21:42Speaker 5: the hell's going on.
- 21:43Speaker 4: I'm going to show up and have a good time
- 21:44Speaker 4: and hopefully this girl's gonna be awesome, and thankfully she
- 21:47Speaker 4: was and has become a dear friend of me. So
- 21:49Speaker 4: I think that the guys nowadays, and I can only
- 21:53Speaker 4: judge this from the ones that I've met, I think
- 21:56Speaker 4: they might go on there with a different mindset than
- 21:59Speaker 4: even what we had back then, which was a lot more.
- 22:01Speaker 2: You have to say, I totally agree with that. But
- 22:03Speaker 2: at the same time, he was going to tell he
- 22:06Speaker 2: told her when she walked her to the car, when
- 22:09Speaker 2: when she walked him to the car, that he was
- 22:12Speaker 2: in love with her. So he was already there, like yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 2: I totally get that, Like, wait, you know, you're you're
- 22:18Speaker 2: trying to gauge whether or not you even like this person,
- 22:23Speaker 2: if you're if you want to stick around, if you
- 22:25Speaker 2: think it's worth it to bring this up in front
- 22:27Speaker 2: of America, in front of the crew, like admit your deepest,
- 22:30Speaker 2: darkest secrets. Totally understand that. But he was there, he
- 22:34Speaker 2: was at the point where he was in love with her,
- 22:37Speaker 2: and I just feel like it's a big conversation. What
- 22:41Speaker 2: really was I don't know, but he said it when
- 22:45Speaker 2: he when he went to the car. I don't know
- 22:49Speaker 2: if he was or not. I mean, obviously he was
- 22:53Speaker 2: heartbroken on the mentel all like he was. He was
- 22:57Speaker 2: visibly upset.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I pride myself on my brutal honesty, and it doesn't
- 23:04Speaker 3: always rub people the right way, but I like for
- 23:05Speaker 3: there to be no reading in between the lines. Right
- 23:08Speaker 3: when I left, when I was on The Bachelor, I
- 23:10Speaker 3: was so confused about what Brad had done to me
- 23:12Speaker 3: because he wasn't honest about the situation. So right on
- 23:17Speaker 3: my brutal honesty. So would I have handled it the
- 23:20Speaker 3: same way. Absolutely not. I just I'm just trying to
- 23:24Speaker 3: play devil's advocate and give him a little bit of
- 23:26Speaker 3: grace because we we the three of us here, have
- 23:29Speaker 3: been in that situation.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We know how hard it be, we know what a
- 23:32Speaker 1: mind fuck it can totally be.
- 23:34Speaker 4: There.
- 23:36Speaker 2: No, I agree, I love as being like the maternal
- 23:41Speaker 2: person for this show. I obviously I don't. I'm not
- 23:44Speaker 2: beating him down saying you are so wrong and you like,
- 23:48Speaker 2: I feel like he was really remorseful at the Mental Hall.
- 23:52Speaker 2: He apologized. It seemed very heartfelt. You could tell that
- 23:56Speaker 2: he was so somber that entire time. Even when we
- 23:59Speaker 2: were on stage, he was just kind of like, take
- 24:03Speaker 2: me out of here. He was not laughing and joking around. No,
- 24:07Speaker 2: not at all vibe for him.
- 24:08Speaker 3: And I would imagine to like sitting on that stage
- 24:11Speaker 3: and sitting with Charity and having to explain where he
- 24:13Speaker 3: was at, there was probably a deep sense of regret, y'all, Like, right,
- 24:17Speaker 3: you probably realized And again, at the end of the day,
- 24:20Speaker 3: is this going to be the end of his story?
- 24:22Speaker 1: No, He's likely going to do a lot. Oh no,
- 24:24Speaker 1: of course not.
- 24:24Speaker 2: He's going to make someone a very wonderful husband and
- 24:26Speaker 2: fall in love and be really happy, we hope. And
- 24:29Speaker 2: I think he learned his lesson through this show. I
- 24:31Speaker 2: think he realized because he did say, you know, I
- 24:34Speaker 2: got a therapist, I want to I want to talk
- 24:37Speaker 2: through this with someone. And I think he actually matured
- 24:40Speaker 2: a lot because of the show. I'm not beating him down.
- 24:43Speaker 2: We're just discussing the like what I feel like should
- 24:47Speaker 2: have happened earlier, because it I do I really wish
- 24:52Speaker 2: that more people and hopefully in the future they will
- 24:55Speaker 2: will take it seriously like this. Yes, of course people
- 24:58Speaker 2: are going to come on and they're gonna want be influencers,
- 25:00Speaker 2: and they're going to want to be you know, gaining
- 25:02Speaker 2: hundreds of thousands of followers, whatever. But I just feel
- 25:06Speaker 2: like it is a show. Ultimately. I still believe this
- 25:09Speaker 2: about love and finding the person that you're meant to
- 25:12Speaker 2: be with it. Maybe there's a few that are in
- 25:15Speaker 2: there because they want to get famous, whatever that's going
- 25:19Speaker 2: to happen because that's the day and age that we
- 25:21Speaker 2: live in. But I really would love for people, especially
- 25:24Speaker 2: for the people who do go farther like, just to
- 25:27Speaker 2: be honest, like you're saying, like, just be honest with
- 25:30Speaker 2: who you are, and if you're falling for this person,
- 25:33Speaker 2: then tell them the things that you feel like are
- 25:36Speaker 2: going to be important in a relationship. And if they
- 25:38Speaker 2: have deal breakers, bring them up, like.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Have that get the testament as to who you are
- 25:44Speaker 3: as a person, like I would do.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I had a guy on my season who waited.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Until after the show was done to let me know
- 25:51Speaker 3: that he had a girlfriend up until hometown.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Dates, So like, yeah, I'm all with you, like, let's
- 25:56Speaker 2: all be.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Honest, let's all just like put it out home, stay
- 25:59Speaker 3: role all be hoes and decent human beings.
- 26:01Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, what everybody thinks
- 26:03Speaker 2: like us well, and and like you said, like show
- 26:06Speaker 2: him some grace. He's young, But like I said, I
- 26:08Speaker 2: think that he learned his lesson and I know he will,
- 26:12Speaker 2: he will find someone, he'll be happy. I loved him
- 26:14Speaker 2: throughout the show. I just I totally agree.
- 26:21Speaker 5: The people can make good people can make that decisions.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Also, maybe there are a few narcissest who walk into
- 26:29Speaker 3: a situation like that and they're like, oh, I can't.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Wait to hurt this person.
- 26:31Speaker 2: But he doesn't mean that.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I mean, I can't imagine he spent those five days
- 26:36Speaker 3: being like, well, I can't wait to screw her over.
- 26:38Speaker 3: You know, he probably just made some bad choices. And
- 26:40Speaker 3: at the end of the day, the truth of the
- 26:41Speaker 3: matter is the relationship that he was in was probably
- 26:44Speaker 3: done anyway, if he was that tempted to be with
- 26:47Speaker 3: another human being anyway.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I'm okay, So let's talk about our experience. So we
- 26:58Speaker 2: went out on the on stage. Is so much fun.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I loved being able to share kind of our our
- 27:04Speaker 2: wisdom and even see the packages that they put up
- 27:07Speaker 2: for each of our families. It's always so fun to
- 27:10Speaker 2: see our kids kids.
- 27:12Speaker 1: What they didn't even show my kids.
- 27:14Speaker 2: They showed you what they did and desires, but they
- 27:16Speaker 2: didn't show No, they showed old clips of when I
- 27:19Speaker 2: was the bachelorette.
- 27:20Speaker 3: So when we were on stage, they showed my pictures,
- 27:23Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Oh, yes, episode air, they
- 27:26Speaker 3: actually didn't show me with my kids. They showed old
- 27:29Speaker 3: clips of when I was a bachelorette and talking about
- 27:31Speaker 3: how it didn't work out for me.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And I was like, what is happening right now?
- 27:33Speaker 5: Because oh they did.
- 27:35Speaker 2: They didn't show my ladies that what was happening right now.
- 27:39Speaker 2: They did the same thing for me. They showed the
- 27:42Speaker 2: clip of the wedding and then they showed just a
- 27:44Speaker 2: picture of our family. Same thing.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, No, they didn't show any pictures of my family.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Oh they didn't.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Oh I thought they did.
- 27:52Speaker 3: They did on stage, Trista, That's what I'm saying. They
- 27:54Speaker 3: did on stage, but it did not make the cut
- 27:55Speaker 3: for the show.
- 27:57Speaker 1: That's why I'm.
- 27:58Speaker 2: As does now I get to me as a failed
- 28:02Speaker 2: back threat? Oh it does take me a while old
- 28:06Speaker 2: gal right here anyway. So so after the show, you know,
- 28:11Speaker 2: after we're on stage, we come out and Gary comes on,
- 28:14Speaker 2: who we both freaking love. I love, I hate this, Bob,
- 28:21Speaker 2: let me just show you this right here. I was
- 28:22Speaker 2: willing to talk to new picture the attention that night.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I was like, all fine, specimen of men, look at
- 28:28Speaker 3: all these men, and then Gary here comes Garrety Trista
- 28:31Speaker 3: got the worst photo of me and Gary.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Oh my god, you look at what are you talking about?
- 28:37Speaker 2: You looked cute and I was about how you look.
- 28:41Speaker 2: It was totally a moment captured that he was laughing
- 28:45Speaker 2: hysterically because of something that you said. You were cracking
- 28:48Speaker 2: him up.
- 28:48Speaker 5: Yes you are, I know.
- 28:52Speaker 2: So No, I thought.
- 28:53Speaker 5: It was that looks like.
- 28:57Speaker 1: He's pretty good looking.
- 28:58Speaker 3: He's pretty good looking, looks like he has spent some
- 29:00Speaker 3: of his off time in Florida, so like his coloring
- 29:03Speaker 3: was off and he really blonde. But he was, like
- 29:06Speaker 3: he Bob, honestly interested will tell you the same thing.
- 29:09Speaker 3: He was the nicest guy, like he was so joyful
- 29:11Speaker 3: to be there. And if you see the mental episode
- 29:15Speaker 3: his segment, he totally is.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Just like a nice guy, like he's.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Out there jollie gee.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Guys like.
- 29:22Speaker 3: The cute and I waked. I'm blatantly flirting with him
- 29:27Speaker 3: in front of everybody.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And I was.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Like, yes, Gary, let me know what time to be there.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I'll see you soon. I walked into the here and
- 29:46Speaker 2: makeup room and he was sitting there and I hadn't
- 29:50Speaker 2: met him yet, and I was like, Hi, Gary, how
- 29:54Speaker 2: are you? And I'm like, so, how is social media going?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Because as he's talked about like he doesn't know anything
- 30:02Speaker 2: about social media and he like totally over his head.
- 30:05Speaker 2: And I was like, how's it going? And he was like, oh,
- 30:08Speaker 2: it's fine. Are you from the social media crew? But
- 30:12Speaker 2: he had no clue who any of us were. He
- 30:14Speaker 2: literally was like, who are you? This is my show?
- 30:19Speaker 2: So I was like, no, I I was actually the
- 30:23Speaker 2: first bachelorette. And he jumped out of the hair and
- 30:26Speaker 2: makeup chair and came and gave me, gave me the
- 30:29Speaker 2: biggest hug. He was so freaking.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Jerry.
- 30:33Speaker 2: It is Gary. It's spelled Jerry, but it's pronounced Gary.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, he looks good.
- 30:41Speaker 4: He does.
- 30:42Speaker 2: And you know what seventy one or something seventy one?
- 30:46Speaker 2: He like my word for him is wholesome. After meeting him,
- 30:49Speaker 2: and he's just so grounded, and I ended up going
- 30:55Speaker 2: and doing a date with him. Oh I just got back.
- 31:02Speaker 2: That's why I'm so tan. I went in spray tand
- 31:05Speaker 2: before I went, so, I flew to la on Friday
- 31:08Speaker 2: and flew back on Sunday and I was there for
- 31:12Speaker 2: a pickleball date with.
- 31:13Speaker 5: All the ladies.
- 31:15Speaker 2: It was so much fun and I got to like
- 31:19Speaker 2: have some time with him and just talk to him
- 31:22Speaker 2: about how he's feeling and everything. But I just my
- 31:24Speaker 2: word for him is wholesome. He is the grandpa that
- 31:28Speaker 2: everyone is going to be rooting for. And I have
- 31:31Speaker 2: said this, I'm sure I've said this on the show Bob,
- 31:33Speaker 2: on this podcast. I have always felt like they need
- 31:38Speaker 2: to pluck someone out of obscurity that we all can
- 31:41Speaker 2: fall in love with communally together as Bachelor Nation. And
- 31:47Speaker 2: thank goodness they're doing it with him because his story
- 31:51Speaker 2: is just so heartbreaking and I mean how he lost
- 31:56Speaker 2: his wife. And I just hope that everyone rallies around
- 32:02Speaker 2: this this season because he is so wholesome and so
- 32:07Speaker 2: everyone's deserving, but he's so deserving of a second chance
- 32:10Speaker 2: at love and just to share by somebody.
- 32:14Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 32:14Speaker 3: He's like West guy, Like he's like super nice and
- 32:18Speaker 3: you could tell he just sits around on eats cheese
- 32:20Speaker 3: curds and like lives.
- 32:21Speaker 5: As best.
- 32:23Speaker 1: You know what I mean. He's all around like great
- 32:25Speaker 1: nice guy and that came off.
- 32:28Speaker 3: That came off like the second you spoke to him,
- 32:30Speaker 3: like or was in his presence, like you could just
- 32:32Speaker 3: tell he was just as happy as can be, you
- 32:34Speaker 3: know what I mean. I see him people sit on
- 32:39Speaker 3: two different fences. Because I've been asking around if people
- 32:41Speaker 3: planning on watching the Golden Bachelor, you know what I mean,
- 32:44Speaker 3: because I'm super stoked for it. I would really love
- 32:46Speaker 3: to see the show go back to some of those
- 32:49Speaker 3: early days of the goodness genuine conversation where people were
- 32:54Speaker 3: for a social media following or or to not have
- 32:57Speaker 3: a real job in.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Life, you know what I mean.
- 32:59Speaker 3: So it's funny because I kind of got like a
- 33:02Speaker 3: fifty to fifty opinion from people, Like some people were
- 33:05Speaker 3: like no, heck no, I'm not really where's the drama
- 33:08Speaker 3: going to be? And also these how old are these
- 33:09Speaker 3: women going to be?
- 33:10Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 33:11Speaker 3: And then the other portion, which were a lot of
- 33:14Speaker 3: people who have watched the show from you know, day one,
- 33:16Speaker 3: from Trista's days, or I don't remember the other guy's name,
- 33:19Speaker 3: but that we're saying like they were super excited to
- 33:21Speaker 3: see the show go back to its roots. That has
- 33:24Speaker 3: so off course, literally, you know, since Chris Harrison left
- 33:28Speaker 3: and some of these other I'm telling you, the older
- 33:30Speaker 3: I get, the younger they get, and it's becoming a
- 33:32Speaker 3: larger gap between me and any of these people on
- 33:35Speaker 3: the show.
- 33:35Speaker 2: But a lot of people were.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Excited to see the show go back to hopefully some
- 33:41Speaker 3: of the basics, which was that there wasn't drama, but
- 33:44Speaker 3: just to see more wholesome content, more genuine connections between
- 33:50Speaker 3: people and not be so centered around like who's there
- 33:53Speaker 3: for the right reasons?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Right to sell T shirts? You know, just rap, you
- 33:58Speaker 1: know what I mean.
- 33:58Speaker 3: I've never seen the shows on it, so like it's
- 34:00Speaker 3: not like I'm moved home and like paparazzi were hanging
- 34:03Speaker 3: out in my bushes and noon and Georgia, like I
- 34:05Speaker 3: just are legit sometimes a little stupid saying I went
- 34:08Speaker 3: on the show for the right reasons, Like as stupid
- 34:11Speaker 3: as it sounds, a legit went on for the opportunity
- 34:15Speaker 3: to meet someone.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I don't think that's not stupid at all. That's what
- 34:18Speaker 4: the show is about, you know. So it's like I
- 34:20Speaker 4: think that's that's awesome. I mean, I think that takes
- 34:23Speaker 4: it back. And I think with Gary, I got I
- 34:25Speaker 4: wanted to say Jerry so bad, But with Gary, I
- 34:27Speaker 4: think it is going to be one of those things.
- 34:29Speaker 4: And especially now with the feedback you guys are getting,
- 34:31Speaker 4: you know, so, so we're all excited. We figure all
- 34:33Speaker 4: excite from the Golden bashlud. But I have to hear
- 34:36Speaker 4: because I wasn't there with you all about Braiden.
- 34:40Speaker 5: I got to hear about Braiden. Yeah, that's a feather
- 34:45Speaker 5: aaring guy. Like, what was your impression? Was he putting
- 34:48Speaker 5: on his best front with you guys? Was he flirting
- 34:50Speaker 5: with you?
- 34:50Speaker 4: Like I could just see that dude like you guys walking,
- 34:53Speaker 4: He's like hello eighties, Like I get you to see
- 34:55Speaker 4: it in my.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Life because Trista and Desiree were like, all these boys
- 34:58Speaker 2: are flirting with you and I was like, I think
- 34:59Speaker 2: I'm must be blind as a bat because I'm not
- 35:01Speaker 2: seeing it, Like I'm not sitting there with my cocktail
- 35:03Speaker 2: and my beef chest suit, and I'm all like, hello, handsome,
- 35:06Speaker 2: Hello handsome, do you need to know how to spell
- 35:09Speaker 2: my first and last name? You're cute, You're nice and tall?
- 35:11Speaker 2: Like I literally was like just eating it up. But yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 2: he was sly learning and it was awesome. No, So
- 35:21Speaker 2: we were backstage just hanging out with you know, the
- 35:25Speaker 2: directors and producers and stuff, just kind of catching up
- 35:29Speaker 2: with people we haven't seen in a while. And the
- 35:31Speaker 2: show ends, the guys come out, and I do remember
- 35:34Speaker 2: Brandon was the first guy that came up to us,
- 35:37Speaker 2: And had I not ever seen him on any show,
- 35:41Speaker 2: I would say that guy is so sweet and he
- 35:45Speaker 2: was just very friendly and very respectful, like there was
- 35:52Speaker 2: there would have been no inclination about any kind of drama. None.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Right, I feel like I'm a pretty such aster.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Tore up on the show.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 3: The difference being Bob is like we didn't watch the show.
- 36:06Speaker 3: We literally were like three girls in our green room
- 36:09Speaker 3: just catching up about life and talking about our kids
- 36:11Speaker 3: and sharing pictures and just you know, being the friends
- 36:15Speaker 3: that we are. So when we went on stage, we
- 36:18Speaker 3: actually did not have the opportunity on stage to interact
- 36:21Speaker 3: with the guys.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Whatsoever.
- 36:22Speaker 3: They sat off to our left, and you know, because
- 36:24Speaker 3: we're cheated looking at Jesse, we really didn't. You don't
- 36:27Speaker 3: even see them there, to be honest, So it wasn't
- 36:31Speaker 3: until afterwards when they all came out. And because I
- 36:34Speaker 3: watched the episode, I have an appreciation for him because
- 36:39Speaker 3: I have this skill to be so very honest. And
- 36:45Speaker 3: I actually thought, even when I watched the episode of
- 36:48Speaker 3: the Mental All, that he did a really good job
- 36:50Speaker 3: of explaining himself. Now, I think there were pieces of
- 36:53Speaker 3: the show where he likely got caught up. When you're
- 36:55Speaker 3: watching the season, he came off as a little bit
- 36:56Speaker 3: of a d bag, bragging about his all kinds of stuff,
- 36:59Speaker 3: and nobody likes a guy who kisses and tells. Just
- 37:02Speaker 3: so we're all on the same way, yeah, no one
- 37:04Speaker 3: likes that. Don't brag about how far you got. Don't
- 37:06Speaker 3: brag about how long. No one wants to hear that. Like,
- 37:10Speaker 3: be an adult about it, be an adult, a man,
- 37:12Speaker 3: a grown man. But I do think that when he
- 37:14Speaker 3: was on stage and discussing his persona and his personality
- 37:20Speaker 3: and who he is, I did a really good job
- 37:23Speaker 3: on stage of being like, hey, I didn't handle this
- 37:25Speaker 3: the best way. But like, I am me to my core,
- 37:28Speaker 3: and Tristan knows this because she's been walking alongside me
- 37:31Speaker 3: for several years now as I've gone through what has
- 37:34Speaker 3: been the most difficult time of my entire life. And
- 37:37Speaker 3: in the day, I am me to my core, and
- 37:41Speaker 3: I shouldn't apologize for that. We are meant in life
- 37:45Speaker 3: to have relationships, to refine us, to help us grow
- 37:48Speaker 3: to be better, we hope, right. But like, at the
- 37:51Speaker 3: end of the day, I can't apologize for being an
- 37:54Speaker 3: incredibly human being, right And I'm not a glass half
- 37:58Speaker 3: full kind of person. And it's not because I don't
- 38:00Speaker 3: want to beat It's because I was never given that opportunity.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I've had a very difficult life getting to this point.
- 38:06Speaker 3: But I am loyal and loyal to a fault to myself,
- 38:09Speaker 3: and I am kind and I am honest, and I
- 38:12Speaker 3: am willing to walk through the hard shit as deep
- 38:16Speaker 3: as it gets to drag him. Ever, I have to
- 38:18Speaker 3: to get out on the other side, and I will
- 38:20Speaker 3: not apologize for that. So there is this huge piece
- 38:23Speaker 3: of my heart that appreciated that even though he really
- 38:26Speaker 3: was getting beat down on stage, I'm already carrying him
- 38:30Speaker 3: apart down to his scarf ashrings, to his personality, to
- 38:32Speaker 3: everything that. I thought he did a really good job
- 38:34Speaker 3: of standing firm and who he is, and I appreciate
- 38:37Speaker 3: that one hundred.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I totally agree with everything you said. I think that
- 38:41Speaker 2: another person could have very well, gotten really frustrated and
- 38:46Speaker 2: gotten mad and was towarded, you know, and said mean
- 38:50Speaker 2: things back to the guys. But he was so calm,
- 38:53Speaker 2: cool and collected and not in a way that it
- 38:57Speaker 2: felt like it was disingenuous. It just felt like he's like,
- 39:00Speaker 2: you know what, I'm not going to be able to
- 39:03Speaker 2: change these guys' minds. I'm sorry for the way that
- 39:06Speaker 2: I treated Charity. I could have handled that better, and
- 39:09Speaker 2: you know, we're moving on and that's that. And he
- 39:13Speaker 2: even apologized to Charity you know too, like they're during
- 39:16Speaker 2: their conversation. I thought, actually the more disrespectful one was
- 39:20Speaker 2: when Sean was like, can I come up there? And
- 39:26Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I get it. But if he had
- 39:30Speaker 2: something that he was like, I want to give you
- 39:33Speaker 2: a hug, or he didn't do anything like that, he
- 39:36Speaker 2: just wanted to be up there. That felt more disingenuine
- 39:39Speaker 2: to me. And he was further on in the show
- 39:42Speaker 2: that felt more disingenuine to me than some of the
- 39:45Speaker 2: other guys who really respectfully sat in their chairs and
- 39:48Speaker 2: owned up to some of their pieces on the show.
- 39:50Speaker 2: And maybe they're disrespected how they handled certain situations that
- 39:53Speaker 2: felt more disingenuine to me. And I'm not saying he
- 39:55Speaker 2: was trying to be. It just felt that way to me.
- 39:58Speaker 4: And I was gonna ask you about that, because you know,
- 40:02Speaker 4: you need to the note of the way the.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Show went, and it's like he's got the most to say,
- 40:06Speaker 5: like you're not invited, Braden. It's like, but you don't
- 40:09Speaker 5: make the guest list, right, It's like everything I was
- 40:12Speaker 5: reading about it, I'm like, who is Sean?
- 40:14Speaker 2: You know?
- 40:14Speaker 4: So I had to go back and actually figure out
- 40:16Speaker 4: who he was. So I was going to ask you
- 40:18Speaker 4: about him. So, so you guys felt like he kind
- 40:20Speaker 4: of just inserted himself to.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Get a streams watching the show back are interacting with him.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I think he was one of the ones that came
- 40:28Speaker 2: up and said hi after when you were back.
- 40:30Speaker 3: That I was going to say was I'm a pretty
- 40:31Speaker 3: good judge of character, Like off the bat, I just
- 40:34Speaker 3: really can read people well. And Trista to your to
- 40:37Speaker 3: your sentiment. I think the same thing. When he walked up,
- 40:40Speaker 3: you get a really good vibe from him. He feels
- 40:42Speaker 3: very genuine. He the guys were being weird, Bob, I'm
- 40:45Speaker 3: joking around aout how much I was sporting with them.
- 40:47Speaker 1: But they were all.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Respectful to their elders. None of them were weird or
- 40:54Speaker 2: rude in any way, none of them or inappropriate. Like
- 40:57Speaker 2: they all you could just tell, like if they didn't
- 41:00Speaker 2: know who we were, they knew then, and they were
- 41:02Speaker 2: all very kind in the way that they addressed us,
- 41:04Speaker 2: hugged us, said hello, that it was a pleasure to
- 41:06Speaker 2: the kids, told us we were beautiful. You know what
- 41:08Speaker 2: a bunch of three older women want to hear.
- 41:10Speaker 3: You know what I mean, Like, he was the first
- 41:13Speaker 3: one out of the gate, and I just thought he
- 41:15Speaker 3: seems like a warm outside of this, like a really
- 41:18Speaker 3: warm and genuine human being.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I got a really you mean Brandon, Yeah, I agree.
- 41:22Speaker 2: And then I also I want to say, Adam, I
- 41:24Speaker 2: don't remember him. I don't remember him walking up to me,
- 41:26Speaker 2: I don't remember hugging him. I don't remember him to
- 41:28Speaker 2: anybody else. So I know you do you remember. But
- 41:32Speaker 2: before I get to that, I want to say, Michael,
- 41:36Speaker 2: who's the yacht captain? He had like a gray a
- 41:38Speaker 2: green uh like over sports code on. He came up
- 41:44Speaker 2: to me and I don't know if he if he
- 41:46Speaker 2: came up to you too. He gave me the biggest hug,
- 41:50Speaker 2: but it like kind of took my breath away because
- 41:52Speaker 2: it was so strong. I was like, I mean, I
- 41:58Speaker 2: have not had any like physical in a very long time.
- 42:01Speaker 1: So I was like taking all the hugs. I'm like,
- 42:04Speaker 1: possibly he too.
- 42:05Speaker 2: I'm like Christa is a lot smaller than me.
- 42:07Speaker 1: She's cropful, you know.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Like I was looking for a good bear hug to
- 42:10Speaker 3: just make sure I can remember what it feels like
- 42:13Speaker 3: a man.
- 42:13Speaker 5: Those guys, those captains.
- 42:17Speaker 2: So one of them came up to us and he
- 42:19Speaker 2: was talking to us, and it ended up being the firefighter.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I was talking to him a little bit about how
- 42:25Speaker 2: Ryan was a firefighter, and there was one guy on
- 42:27Speaker 2: my seat. Who's the firefighter? Guy, Bob, you can tell
- 42:30Speaker 2: me did I let go the first night? Oh? Oh yeah?
- 42:37Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 42:38Speaker 4: He's a guy I met in at the Dirty.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Or something, right. I was trying to remember his name.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Billy Billy Bill, Billy Billy.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Polta, so I couldn't remember his name, and I feel
- 42:53Speaker 2: like they might have been at the same station at
- 42:55Speaker 2: one point. But anyway, so we were talking about that
- 42:57Speaker 2: and then he went and he brought roses for each
- 43:01Speaker 2: of us. He was handing all of us roses. But
- 43:04Speaker 2: I have a feeling I think this is the one
- 43:06Speaker 2: that and I even I think you said it earlier,
- 43:08Speaker 2: the hottie. I only remember the hottie that's what wearing
- 43:13Speaker 2: all white, and he had the he had I don't
- 43:15Speaker 2: want to call it audacity, but he had the uh
- 43:18Speaker 2: guts to like, like, the three of us haven't received
- 43:21Speaker 2: enough roses, and.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Could you be original, but also give me your phone number.
- 43:31Speaker 4: He did.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Bobby totally went and found three red roses and started
- 43:35Speaker 2: handing them out to the three of us and we
- 43:36Speaker 2: were like, oh cute, but we've got a few things, Matt,
- 43:41Speaker 2: and then he ran away like a scared child.
- 43:43Speaker 1: He was like, okay, by I see you all later.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Had this original idea.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Yeah, no, if there's if there's any if there's any
- 43:55Speaker 2: guy from the mentel all that, I feel like maybe
- 44:00Speaker 2: Gianna had a little a little uh vibe vibe wit.
- 44:06Speaker 2: It was definitely Aaron, though I was trying to make
- 44:09Speaker 2: eye contact. I was trying to look in his direction.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Scared scared him, He scared. He cannot handle this forty
- 44:16Speaker 2: one year old grown ass woman. He's what has not happened?
- 44:21Speaker 2: I'm not getting any of them sliding into my DM.
- 44:23Speaker 2: So I clearly made a big impression.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I want to thank you, guys. I feel like I
- 44:29Speaker 4: was at the episode with you. I feel like I
- 44:31Speaker 4: was there writing at a little bird's idea of what
- 44:33Speaker 4: it was like. First of all, I'm so glad they
- 44:35Speaker 4: brought you both back. I mean and as three of
- 44:37Speaker 4: my favorites of all time obviously from this show, but
- 44:40Speaker 4: I think in general two just three perfect personalities have
- 44:43Speaker 4: on that show and kind of help Charity a little bit.
- 44:46Speaker 5: So great job, ladies.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Thank you yeah tomorrow, Trista. But let's do it again tomorrow.
- 44:53Speaker 2: I know, right every week, because I would love just
- 44:58Speaker 2: I don't know about you, guys, but it's it's just
- 45:00Speaker 2: good energy. I love the energy. When I returned to
- 45:03Speaker 2: the show, you know, it's it's just.
- 45:05Speaker 3: I was literally pitching everything because Ryan and Trista have
- 45:08Speaker 3: their twenty year anniversary coming up, and I'm all to
- 45:12Speaker 3: like Rob Mills, I'm like, listen, can you please do
- 45:14Speaker 3: like a vowel renewal so that we can all get
- 45:17Speaker 3: together again and have so much fun.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Core memories of fun weddings.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Of people where you all just get to be together
- 45:24Speaker 3: and have the best time ever. So I literally was
- 45:26Speaker 3: like pitching Tristan Ryan's vow renewal to be taped by ABC,
- 45:29Speaker 3: and I'm like, we really just need a good excuse
- 45:31Speaker 3: to like get together.
- 45:33Speaker 1: On an island, somewhere.
- 45:36Speaker 2: On an island, please ago, We're trying to go next
- 45:43Speaker 2: Trista some tropical island, Like, just just send me there,
- 45:46Speaker 2: pay for my flight whatever, I'll be there. Okay, thank
- 45:53Speaker 2: you for being here today and recapping the men tell all,
- 45:59Speaker 2: it was just such a pleasure to see you in
- 46:01Speaker 2: person obviously, always always makes me happy, and we do
- 46:06Speaker 2: get to have you for another episode, so I know,
- 46:12Speaker 2: two for one part two. Thanks everybody for tuning in
- 46:16Speaker 2: to Almost Famous Ogs with Me, Trista.
- 46:19Speaker 5: Setter and Me, Bob Getty and today with Jan Stage
- 46:25Speaker 5: as well. Okay,
