- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken Plus.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I'm Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Aussie
- 0:08Speaker 2: fast fashion brand Beginning Boutique scores the ultimate influencer collab,
- 0:13Speaker 2: Molly May's doco update and our recommendations. But first, former
- 0:18Speaker 2: Love Islander Anna McAvoy has opened.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Up about how her body is struggling postpartum.
- 0:23Speaker 2: The business owner and podcaster whose son Suede is seven
- 0:27Speaker 2: months old has revealed she's found it difficult to walk
- 0:30Speaker 2: for the past three weeks.
- 0:31Speaker 3: God, as if you don't go through enough as a mother,
- 0:33Speaker 3: like you have to carry the baby for nine months,
- 0:36Speaker 3: go through birth and you've got to breastfeed if you
- 0:38Speaker 3: choose to. You've also got broken sleep for months and
- 0:41Speaker 3: months on end. And then suddenly you're at the seven
- 0:44Speaker 3: month mark and you're struggling to walk like I didn't
- 0:47Speaker 3: even know this was a thing.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, she said that she has excruciating pain in her
- 0:50Speaker 1: foot when she gets up in the middle of the
- 0:52Speaker 1: night to come in and see how suede's going.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Well, I think her husband should be getting up then. Well, yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And she said that the pain got so bad that
- 0:57Speaker 1: she had to visit a doctor who recommended that she
- 1:00Speaker 1: have an MRI to figure out what is causing so
- 1:02Speaker 1: much pain.
- 1:03Speaker 3: It'd be pretty scary. Well, yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Well, the doctor thought at first that perhaps it could
- 1:07Speaker 1: be broken or it could be plantar fasciitis, which is
- 1:10Speaker 1: very common in postpartum women, which I never knew this
- 1:13Speaker 1: was a thing.
- 1:13Speaker 3: So has that got to do with your ligaments becoming
- 1:15Speaker 3: a bit looser because i remember everyone's like oh your
- 1:18Speaker 3: shoe size actually goes up when you're pregnant and i
- 1:21Speaker 3: was like oh no way and then it happened i
- 1:23Speaker 3: was like this is.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Fine because everything loosens up for you in order to
- 1:26Speaker 4: have the baby well yeah i looked into it and
- 1:29Speaker 4: i said after being pregnant your foot structure completely changes
- 1:32Speaker 4: and there's also a lot of reasons why you get
- 1:35Speaker 4: plantar fasciitis due to hormonal changes as well i.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Always assumed your foot would go back to its normal
- 1:40Speaker 3: size once you'd given birth and all your hormones had
- 1:43Speaker 3: settled down but apparently most women go up half to
- 1:47Speaker 3: one shoe size and they never fully return so is
- 1:50Speaker 3: that an excuse for me to throw out all of
- 1:52Speaker 3: my shoes and get new ones i think so maybe
- 1:54Speaker 3: we need to go on a shopping spree it is
- 1:56Speaker 3: actually crazy all of the things that can happen to
- 1:58Speaker 3: your body after giving birth because i think i was
- 2:01Speaker 3: telling the subscribers a on another episode how I broke
- 2:04Speaker 3: out in this rash and I actually went to an
- 2:06Speaker 3: allergist and I'm not allergic to any specific food. He
- 2:10Speaker 3: said it was probably a viral infection that I picked
- 2:12Speaker 3: up and due to just having.
- 2:14Speaker 1: A baby, the rash occurred.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Like sometimes your body just does these crazy things. I
- 2:18Speaker 2: mean I've had a terribly sore back and arms. I
- 2:21Speaker 2: mean my baby is 12 kilos at eight months, nine
- 2:24Speaker 2: months old.
- 2:25Speaker 3: 95th percentile. But I'm not surprised.
- 2:27Speaker 2: My mum was telling me that one of her friends
- 2:29Speaker 2: whose daughter has just had a baby said, She's had
- 2:31Speaker 2: to undergo all this physio because when she was holding
- 2:34Speaker 2: the baby, it's caused all this ligament damage in her arm.
- 2:37Speaker 1: This is just the grandma.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Well, when you're having to rock a baby to sleep
- 2:41Speaker 3: as well. I mean, I remember when my son was
- 2:44Speaker 3: only a couple of weeks old and I was like,
- 2:46Speaker 3: this is hurting my arms. How am I going to
- 2:48Speaker 3: go when he's so much bigger?
- 2:49Speaker 1: I really feel for Anna because she is in a
- 2:51Speaker 1: moon boot at the moment. And she said that suede
- 2:53Speaker 1: has started crawling. So she's trying to keep up with him.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Terrible timing.
- 2:56Speaker 1: She got the MRI results back and she does have
- 2:58Speaker 1: plantar fasciitis and swelling in her heel. So she has
- 3:02Speaker 1: been instructed to roll a frozen bottle of water on
- 3:05Speaker 1: her foot every morning.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Can you imagine people going up to her and being like, oh,
- 3:09Speaker 3: so you had to injure your leg? Oh, just, you know,
- 3:11Speaker 3: after I had.
- 3:11Speaker 2: A baby, my ligaments have gone funny.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Suede looks pretty big too. I feel like he could
- 3:15Speaker 1: rival Harry, Amy.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Possibly. It just shows how much women have to go
- 3:18Speaker 3: through and continue to go through. Like everyone thinks once
- 3:21Speaker 3: you've had the baby, that's it. But it's just a
- 3:23Speaker 3: whole new thing, isn't it?
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, the poor thing. So she is still breastfeeding and
- 3:26Speaker 1: she said that her whole body feels inflamed and she's
- 3:29Speaker 1: getting bumps that are popping up on her breasts due
- 3:32Speaker 1: to the fact that she is still breastfeeding. It sounds horrendous.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Aussie fast fashion brand Beginning Boutique has scored the ultimate collab,
- 3:39Speaker 3: launching a collection with self-proclaimed tennis wag Morgan Riddle. It
- 3:43Speaker 3: wouldn't be January if we weren't talking about Morgan because
- 3:47Speaker 3: she's at the Oz Open, of course. She is the
- 3:50Speaker 3: partner of tennis player Taylor Fritz, and she gained a
- 3:53Speaker 3: massive following for sharing behind the scenes at the Tennis
- 3:57Speaker 3: And of course, all of her elevated courtside outfits. She
- 4:00Speaker 3: brought tennis core back in with a bang. Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And she was even featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and
- 4:04Speaker 1: also the New York Times. So this is a very
- 4:07Speaker 1: big get for Beginning Boutique.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And a bit of a shock one. I've seen a
- 4:10Speaker 3: lot of commentary on TikTok being like, I love her style.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Why the hell is she doing a collab with Beginning Boutique,
- 4:18Speaker 3: a fast fashion brand? Like, why didn't she go? Like,
- 4:20Speaker 3: she wears all these designer clothes. Like, could she not
- 4:23Speaker 3: have done a collab with someone better?
- 4:25Speaker 1: It kind of cheapens it a bit because this is
- 4:27Speaker 1: the first co-branded collaboration that she's done. They must have
- 4:30Speaker 1: offered her a huge sum of money.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Maybe this is all part of like a 2016 type
- 4:35Speaker 3: revival because I feel like they had their heyday back then.
- 4:38Speaker 3: They were working with Sharni Grumman and all her influencer friends.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So it is an amazing get for them. But is
- 4:45Speaker 3: it going to translate across to the Australian Open? Is
- 4:49Speaker 3: she going to be wearing these outfits courtside? I don't
- 4:52Speaker 3: think so.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I don't think so. And I also don't think that
- 4:54Speaker 1: the general public will want to either.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I had a look.
- 4:57Speaker 1: There are 14 different looks and.
- 4:59Speaker 3: There's a lot of gowns.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I understand that there's a lot of pop-up bars and
- 5:04Speaker 1: it's a lot of nightlife there, but I don't think
- 5:05Speaker 1: anyone is actually going to be wearing these outfits to
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Australian Open. Maybe some of the more two-piece sets
- 5:11Speaker 1: that are on offer, but I feel like you'd look
- 5:13Speaker 1: like a bit of a dick if you rocked up
- 5:15Speaker 1: in some of this.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I haven't been to the tennis for two years now.
- 5:19Speaker 3: So I don't know if it's changed since then. But
- 5:22Speaker 3: I know everyone's talking about this elevated style at the tennis.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But all the general punters just wear casual clothes. It's
- 5:28Speaker 3: the influencers who are wearing, you know, beautiful clothing because
- 5:32Speaker 3: they're being photographed and they're actually going to all the
- 5:34Speaker 3: events and marquees and stuff. Whereas, you know, if you're
- 5:38Speaker 3: just going to watch a game– I mean, I'd still
- 5:41Speaker 3: probably just go in jeans and a t-shirt.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It was in the video where Morgan is modeling some
- 5:47Speaker 1: of the outfits. She's wearing a pink two-piece sort of
- 5:50Speaker 1: suit with this white headscarf and white gloves. And she's
- 5:53Speaker 1: watching the tennis on the sidelines. And again, I just
- 5:56Speaker 1: can't imagine anyone, just an average sports fan wearing this
- 6:00Speaker 1: to a game. Again, maybe to one of the pop-up bars,
- 6:03Speaker 1: but not to an actual game. I mean, I'm assuming
- 6:05Speaker 1: she was paid a lot of money for this collaboration.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And for her, it might be a way of dipping
- 6:10Speaker 1: her toes in, seeing what the demand is, and then
- 6:11Speaker 1: potentially launching her own brand. Well, the thing is, it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: quite clear that she actually didn't have anything to do
- 6:16Speaker 1: with designing this collection at all. It just said that
- 6:19Speaker 1: they were inspired by her look.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So all of the looks that she wears from designer brands,
- 6:24Speaker 3: they've essentially taken.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Well, it's a very affordable range. So the clothes range
- 6:28Speaker 1: from $ 49.
- 6:28Speaker 3: 99 to $ 120.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So- Maybe there'll be a lot of Gen Zers who
- 6:33Speaker 1: will be wearing this to the games. Who knows?
- 6:37Speaker 3: Amy, I'm desperate to talk to you about Molly Mae's doco.
- 6:40Speaker 3: So part two of season two dropped on Thursday. We
- 6:45Speaker 3: actually promised that we were going to watch it together,
- 6:47Speaker 3: but then you and Sophie did the dirty and watched
- 6:48Speaker 3: it together without me. We were together the day it
- 6:51Speaker 3: dropped and we thought if we watched it now, we
- 6:53Speaker 3: might be able to share some memes or there might
- 6:55Speaker 3: be something relevant to talk about on the podcast.
- 6:58Speaker 2: However, I hate to say it, but I was a
- 7:00Speaker 2: bit disappointed. I still enjoyed the show, but there really
- 7:04Speaker 2: wasn't that much that went on in part two.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And we were expecting something big. I mean, we spoke
- 7:09Speaker 3: on Friday's show, which was pre-recorded before we watched Molly
- 7:11Speaker 3: Mae's doco about how we felt like surely some big
- 7:14Speaker 3: news was coming on the doco, particularly around Molly Mae
- 7:18Speaker 3: and Tommy Fury potentially having a second child. That has
- 7:21Speaker 3: been a hot topic since their Maldives holiday, but there
- 7:24Speaker 3: was none of it. It was literally just nothing. Like
- 7:27Speaker 3: it was so blah. And I hate to say that
- 7:29Speaker 3: because again, I still devoured every second of it. I mean,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I made my husband watch it with me. He was
- 7:34Speaker 3: playing a game on his phone most of the time
- 7:36Speaker 3: and I kept turning to him to say things and
- 7:37Speaker 3: I'm like, Oh, hang on. You don't give a fuck.
- 7:39Speaker 3: But like, I enjoyed it because I love all of
- 7:41Speaker 3: her vlogs, but it wasn't like groundbreaking. There was no
- 7:44Speaker 3: real wow moment or information that was really out of
- 7:47Speaker 3: this world.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And I felt like I would get more info out
- 7:50Speaker 2: of one of her vlogs, like felt more connected to her.
- 7:52Speaker 2: it's not really that surprising because her show was really
- 7:56Speaker 2: meant to be only one series. And it was very
- 7:58Speaker 2: dramatic because it focused on her split with Tommy Fury,
- 8:01Speaker 2: but now her and Tommy are back together. I mean,
- 8:03Speaker 2: Molly has said it herself, like she doesn't have that
- 8:06Speaker 2: many dramatic things going on in her life.
- 8:08Speaker 3: The way it ended was weird because for those who
- 8:11Speaker 3: haven't seen it, she was packing her house up to
- 8:13Speaker 3: move in with Tommy. So Tommy, when they broke up,
- 8:17Speaker 3: actually stayed in their new family home that they had
- 8:19Speaker 3: just bought together. It turns out Molly may only spent
- 8:22Speaker 3: one night in that house with Tommy before they broke up.
- 8:25Speaker 3: And she was really apprehensive about leaving her house because
- 8:28Speaker 3: she's like, I actually feel like I need somewhere that
- 8:31Speaker 3: I can potentially go back to if things turn to
- 8:33Speaker 3: shit again. So they've kind of left the door open
- 8:37Speaker 3: for a doco of Molly and Tommy living back together.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I wonder if, because originally the doco was meant to
- 8:44Speaker 3: be following Tommy and Molly's wedding prep.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I wonder maybe if they're going to sign a deal
- 8:49Speaker 3: for something like that.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Well, I mean, the other thing is if she's pregnant,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I mean, that would be super interesting to follow. They
- 8:55Speaker 2: might've just had to fill out the last three episodes.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I was so disappointed because I thought Tommy was
- 9:00Speaker 3: actually going to feature on it, but he didn't. I mean,
- 9:02Speaker 3: there were a couple of FaceTimes of him on it. Again,
- 9:05Speaker 3: he seemed to be causing a bit of tension between
- 9:07Speaker 3: Molly and her sister Zoe.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Also, the only time he was included was when he
- 9:10Speaker 2: spoke about wanting to take a shit in molly's toilet
- 9:13Speaker 2: at her work.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Or having sex with her in the glass window it's
- 9:16Speaker 3: like i probably wouldn't have included that it was interesting
- 9:20Speaker 3: how molly was like oh my moods are so dependent
- 9:22Speaker 3: on him and then you could see zoe was getting
- 9:25Speaker 3: really frustrated because she did this tour of her new
- 9:27Speaker 3: home and molly was just on her phone probably texting
- 9:30Speaker 3: him the whole time there was like a little bit
- 9:32Speaker 3: of a back and forth between them.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I really like zoe and i really like molly and
- 9:36Speaker 2: it's bad i don't know i feel guilty weighing into
- 9:38Speaker 2: sister drama because there's always a lot more going on
- 9:41Speaker 2: than you see But from an outsider, it looked as
- 9:43Speaker 2: if Molly wasn't really giving Zoe all of her time
- 9:46Speaker 2: and energy. Like this is something really exciting happening in
- 9:49Speaker 2: Zoe's world. She's bought this house. A lot of the
- 9:51Speaker 2: time it has been about Molly, Molly, Molly, what she's doing,
- 9:54Speaker 2: her breakup. And the fact that Zoe and Danny were
- 9:57Speaker 2: both living in the house with Molly and while tommy
- 10:00Speaker 2: was away they were clearly helping out with bambi and
- 10:03Speaker 2: all of that and then to just have tommy come
- 10:05Speaker 2: back in their lives after they've probably both slagged him
- 10:08Speaker 2: off it would be pretty awkward i think molly was
- 10:10Speaker 2: acting like that though because it was quite clear that
- 10:12Speaker 2: she didn't want zoe and danny to move out because
- 10:16Speaker 2: firstly she liked having their company but secondly she It
- 10:19Speaker 2: put the pressure on her to have to move back
- 10:21Speaker 2: in with Tommy.
- 10:22Speaker 3: And you could tell like she wasn't quite ready to
- 10:25Speaker 3: do that. In terms of Molly and Tommy's relationship on
- 10:27Speaker 3: Friday's show, we were discussing how everyone's been on engagement
- 10:31Speaker 3: watch for this re-engagement because of course, Tommy already proposed
- 10:35Speaker 3: a couple of years ago. They then broken up and
- 10:37Speaker 3: Molly has said, well, I'd like a bit of a
- 10:39Speaker 3: big deal made. You know, he needs to re-propose and
- 10:42Speaker 3: then I'll wear my ring. But in the doco, she
- 10:44Speaker 3: dropped that she's been wearing her ring and it feels
- 10:47Speaker 3: right again. So I don't think we're getting a second proposal.
- 10:50Speaker 2: What surprised me was finding out how sad Molly was
- 10:52Speaker 2: actually to leave her house because she has just suddenly
- 10:56Speaker 2: popped up on a YouTube channel living at.
- 10:59Speaker 3: What was Tommy's house. The Cheshire one.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and she seems really happy about it and excited
- 11:04Speaker 2: and she hasn't really touched on any feelings of sadness
- 11:07Speaker 2: or negativity. And I didn't even realize that she had
- 11:10Speaker 2: packed up her whole house. Like obviously they're renting it
- 11:12Speaker 2: out or something.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah. I thought that it had just remained intact in case,
- 11:16Speaker 3: you know, she had to leave again because for those unaware,
- 11:21Speaker 3: when she bought the house, she completely gutted it and
- 11:24Speaker 3: had it all completely renovated to her taste. All of
- 11:26Speaker 3: the furniture fit in that house. That's why I was
- 11:28Speaker 3: so surprised that they've bought this new house because Amy,
- 11:31Speaker 3: you were gushing about how amazing it was. And I
- 11:34Speaker 3: haven't actually seen the full house, but what I saw
- 11:36Speaker 3: in the Christmas vlog, I was kind of overwhelmed because,
- 11:39Speaker 3: They bought it furnished and obviously Tommy's been living in
- 11:42Speaker 3: there and he probably doesn't give a shit about what
- 11:43Speaker 3: the furniture looks like. But I'm assuming Molly's going to
- 11:46Speaker 3: want to change everything. So I'm like, well, why didn't
- 11:48Speaker 3: Tommy move back into the place you had first together,
- 11:53Speaker 3: redo the other place and then move in? Like it
- 11:55Speaker 3: doesn't really make sense.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Because it's a huge fuck off mansion. Like they're able
- 11:58Speaker 2: to just be in the house while there are builders.
- 12:00Speaker 2: They could just go to another main bedroom.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but they've just lived through all these renovations and
- 12:03Speaker 3: the other place was a massive mansion too.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I actually think though that the Cheshire house is on
- 12:07Speaker 2: another level.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Okay. The other one's a new build.
- 12:10Speaker 2: This one is just an old mansion basically.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Maybe it's just the furnishings that threw me off because
- 12:15Speaker 3: it looks like a 50-year-old man's furnished it. It's got
- 12:17Speaker 3: that vibe. Well, it's one.
- 12:19Speaker 2: It's got an indoor pool that's massive. It's got an
- 12:21Speaker 2: indoor sauna. It's got a gym. It's fucking huge. Like
- 12:26Speaker 2: the front yard, it looks like a manor house.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It will look fantastic in maybe two years and then
- 12:32Speaker 2: they might decide to move again.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I just wouldn't want to live through that renovations again. Now,
- 12:37Speaker 3: one thing that was, I suppose, a bit of a
- 12:39Speaker 3: surprise and interesting to take a look at behind the
- 12:41Speaker 3: scenes was Molly visiting Adidas. So a couple of days
- 12:45Speaker 3: before the doco dropped, she announced that she was doing
- 12:48Speaker 3: her own collaboration with the brand. So on Instagram, she wrote,
- 12:52Speaker 3: I can't quite believe I'm saying this, but in 2026,
- 12:54Speaker 3: I will be officially partnering with Adidas UK on a
- 12:57Speaker 3: limited footwear collection. She then went on to say it
- 13:00Speaker 3: started out as a dream and doesn't feel real even now.
- 13:04Speaker 3: You could tell she was quite nervous when she visited
- 13:07Speaker 3: Adidas because the film crew went behind the scenes of
- 13:10Speaker 3: her first official meeting in Germany with the sportswear brand.
- 13:15Speaker 3: And I felt for her because they were like, you
- 13:17Speaker 3: can use whatever you want, like these are the colour swatches.
- 13:20Speaker 3: And then she made this faux pas and goes, oh,
- 13:23Speaker 3: what's that swatch made out of? Is that some kind
- 13:25Speaker 3: of suede? And they're like, it's just cardboard. And you
- 13:27Speaker 3: could tell- that she was like, holy fuck, like why
- 13:30Speaker 3: did I say that?
- 13:31Speaker 2: She thought that the swatch was working out what material.
- 13:35Speaker 1: The shoe was, but it was just the colour.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And I don't know about you, you shared the vision
- 13:40Speaker 3: on Instagram and I said, you know, Molly, take my
- 13:42Speaker 3: money because I definitely will be buying a pair of
- 13:45Speaker 3: her shoes if they are sold to Australia. I'm thinking
- 13:47Speaker 3: maybe it's only going to be to the UK considering
- 13:49Speaker 3: she tagged Adidas UK. But I almost felt a little
- 13:54Speaker 3: bit like embarrassed when she was talking through the plan
- 13:58Speaker 3: about having, you know, one set of the sneakers colored
- 14:01Speaker 3: like an ice latte and the other as a matcha.
- 14:04Speaker 3: And the people were kind of just like nodding and agreeing. Like,
- 14:07Speaker 3: I wonder if they were like, oh, we were expecting
- 14:09Speaker 3: a bit, something a bit different. I thought it was
- 14:11Speaker 3: a fabulous idea. If you think about it. White and beige.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It's not really out of this world.
- 14:15Speaker 2: No, not just white and beige. Those colors go so
- 14:18Speaker 2: well together.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I mean, look at Molly's house.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Everything is white and beige. Of course, I liked the.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Concept of the matcha shoes. That's what I thought was cool.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I almost felt like she pulled it out of her ass.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I think the funny thing was when her manager Fran
- 14:30Speaker 2: was like, yeah, Molly's really known for her drinks, you know,
- 14:33Speaker 2: her coffee machine.
- 14:33Speaker 3: And it just sounded so vapid, but yeah. And also
- 14:36Speaker 3: because Molly's only just recently started drinking coffee as someone
- 14:39Speaker 3: who has watched her vlogs over the years intently, it
- 14:42Speaker 3: took her a while to even like.
- 14:43Speaker 2: But if you think about it, it's all about the aesthetic.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I said to Sophie that commentary, it reminded me a
- 14:49Speaker 2: little bit of when we have meetings with older people
- 14:52Speaker 2: and you might explain something on social media and everyone's.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Like, oh wow, like really?
- 14:56Speaker 2: Like that's a fantastic idea. And it's like the most
- 14:58Speaker 2: basic idea that you've ever said.
- 15:00Speaker 3: But that's the thing. I didn't think that they were
- 15:02Speaker 3: probably that impressed with the idea.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But as Molly said, it's a lot of pressure because
- 15:07Speaker 2: they have done so many different colors of shoes. Like
- 15:09Speaker 2: let's be real. It's really just choosing a color palette
- 15:13Speaker 2: for a pair of shoes.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but I thought maybe she'd come with something that
- 15:16Speaker 3: was a bit more personalized. Like, oh, I'm from this
- 15:19Speaker 3: part of the UK or like this is bringing in
- 15:23Speaker 3: love Island vibes or boxing, but you know, like sort
- 15:25Speaker 3: of pick it apart more rather than just saying, Oh,
- 15:28Speaker 3: I really liked ice lattes. Like it kind of came
- 15:30Speaker 3: across as a bit basic bitch, which probably actually to
- 15:33Speaker 3: her credit is actually a very smart idea. And the
- 15:36Speaker 3: fact that so many girls are ice latte girls or
- 15:39Speaker 3: matcha girls.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I think it's genius. I think this shoe is going
- 15:42Speaker 2: to sell out. I fucking want the shoe. Like as
- 15:45Speaker 2: soon as she said ice latte and matcha, and I
- 15:47Speaker 2: was like, Oh my.
- 15:48Speaker 3: God, this girl's a genius. Like take my money. Take
- 15:50Speaker 3: my fucking money.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Sometimes the best ideas are the most simple ideas and
- 15:54Speaker 2: people go, well, why didn't anyone else think of that?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Maybe I'm just used to seeing people wank on about
- 15:59Speaker 3: the concepts behind these fashion ideas. And maybe that is
- 16:03Speaker 3: the beauty in it, that it's such a simple idea.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Well, she was describing, she said, you know, when you
- 16:08Speaker 2: pour your coffee into the milk, into your iced latte,
- 16:11Speaker 2: it makes that beautiful gradient color.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I mean, I've never seen that on an Adidas shoe.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Or as she said, Adidas. I always judge people on
- 16:19Speaker 3: how they say Adidas. The people that say Adidas, usually Americans,
- 16:22Speaker 3: oh my God, it grinds my gears. I remember a
- 16:25Speaker 3: lecturer at uni kept saying Adidas and I was like, oh.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Or Nike.
- 16:29Speaker 2: A lot of people in the UK say Nike. I
- 16:31Speaker 2: actually love how Molly says Adidas. I think I might
- 16:33Speaker 2: start saying Adidas.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Actually, my husband kept saying Nike. I think it was
- 16:38Speaker 3: just to piss me off. What's that? Let's get into
- 16:41Speaker 3: some recommendations. I have been quite adventurous with my TV viewing.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Normally I don't take advice from Sophie because she and
- 16:49Speaker 3: Brandon seem to just be on top of everything. Like
- 16:52Speaker 3: they're always like, yeah, watch that, watch that. And they
- 16:55Speaker 3: told me I should watch Stranger Things. Now I'm up
- 16:57Speaker 3: to season three.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Love that it's like that's everyone's been watching Stranger Things.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It's hardly like an obscure recommendation. I know, but it's
- 17:04Speaker 3: hard when everyone's watched it and everyone's, you know, up
- 17:07Speaker 3: to series five and you've got to go back 10
- 17:09Speaker 3: years to And watch it when Millie Bobby Brown is
- 17:11Speaker 3: literally 10 years old. That was what I've been going through.
- 17:15Speaker 3: And unfortunately, I also got this horrible virus when I
- 17:18Speaker 3: was watching it. And because Stranger Things is so dark,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you know, when you kind of associate it with feeling sick.
- 17:24Speaker 3: So I've had to put pause on it at a
- 17:26Speaker 3: great time because Love Island All Stars UK is back.
- 17:29Speaker 3: It started, we said on Friday show it was starting
- 17:32Speaker 3: that night. I was so disappointed. It actually started at
- 17:35Speaker 3: 1230 Saturday. Oh, it's because of the delay. Yeah. Oh
- 17:38Speaker 3: my gosh, I'm already hooked. I've watched the first two
- 17:40Speaker 3: episodes and I think they've done a really good job
- 17:43Speaker 3: at casting. I was very excited to see Millie Court.
- 17:46Speaker 3: She hasn't disappointed. She just is such a lovable person
- 17:49Speaker 3: on the show. You really want her to find someone
- 17:51Speaker 3: and it's quite interesting because they went in there and
- 17:54Speaker 3: they had to hand out sashes to, like the girls
- 17:57Speaker 3: had to hand out sashes to the boys that made
- 18:00Speaker 3: a really good first impression and then those that they
- 18:02Speaker 3: basically didn't see anything with. And Millie gave her sash
- 18:07Speaker 3: to one of the older guys in there who's 31.
- 18:10Speaker 3: He was on one of the earlier seasons of Love Island.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I wasn't really familiar with him. And then she gave
- 18:15Speaker 3: her not interested sash to Kieran. Remember Kieran from a
- 18:19Speaker 3: couple of seasons ago? He was the Welsh young guy.
- 18:23Speaker 3: He's very attractive, but he's only 23. However, the general public,
- 18:28Speaker 3: actually decided who they should couple up with. And they've
- 18:30Speaker 3: decided to put her with Kieran. And she's like, oh,
- 18:33Speaker 3: of course, because for those not familiar with Millie's story,
- 18:37Speaker 3: she dated Liam off Love Island for four years. And
- 18:41Speaker 3: he was quite a lot younger than her. And of course, Welsh.
- 18:44Speaker 3: So people are like, oh, that must be her type.
- 18:46Speaker 3: But she's like, no, I want to date someone older.
- 18:48Speaker 3: The whole reason I've broken up with Liam is because
- 18:50Speaker 3: he was too young.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:51Speaker 3: But, and also he's a hell of a lot younger.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Isn't Millie Millie 30?
- 18:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah, she's turning 30 this year and it's so stupid
- 18:57Speaker 3: because they've put in all these guys in their early
- 19:00Speaker 3: 20s in with all these girls that are just about
- 19:01Speaker 3: to turn 30.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Like they clearly want different things. Well, that's because everyone's
- 19:05Speaker 2: waiting for the bombshells to come in. We all know
- 19:07Speaker 2: that the first six or whatever that are put in,
- 19:10Speaker 2: some of them have got good personalities. We know none
- 19:12Speaker 2: of them really actually ever end up together, the originals
- 19:15Speaker 2: that get put in.
- 19:15Speaker 3: It's more than six. It's like 12 people, six couples.
- 19:19Speaker 3: It's funny because I was like, I kind of remember you.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I kind of remember you. And then this guy called
- 19:23Speaker 3: Jack popped up on the screen and he's a redhead
- 19:26Speaker 3: and he's got a sleeve of tattoos. And I was like,
- 19:27Speaker 3: who are you again?
- 19:28Speaker 2: Oh, that's Ronan Keating's son.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah. So he was in Casa Amor. That was it.
- 19:33Speaker 3: And they brought him back as an all-star. And I'm like,
- 19:35Speaker 3: clearly because your dad's Ronan Keating, they wanted to give
- 19:37Speaker 3: you another personality. It's too early to say, but- Someone
- 19:42Speaker 3: was like, oh, he's really got something about him. I'm like, yeah,
- 19:44Speaker 3: he's Ronan Keating's son. Like that's what he's got about him.
- 19:47Speaker 3: But it's interesting because he dropped when he left. Kassara Moore,
- 19:51Speaker 3: he found out that the girl he'd been dating previously
- 19:53Speaker 3: was pregnant. Anyway, so I highly recommend getting into Love
- 19:59Speaker 3: Island All Stars again this year. It's just kind of
- 20:02Speaker 3: nice to have something that's easy to watch. And I
- 20:04Speaker 3: really like watching a show that, you know, has regular
- 20:07Speaker 3: episodes out. I don't have to think about what I'm
- 20:09Speaker 3: going to watch when I sit down to eat my dinner.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I've been watching something a bit different in Love Island.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Dale and I have been watching Catching Malat, which was
- 20:16Speaker 2: all about Ivan Malat. We realised, I thought it was
- 20:19Speaker 2: a new thing, but it was made in 2015.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Highly recommend.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It was a great Aussie drama.
- 20:24Speaker 3: God, that sounds horrible. I actually hate all the true
- 20:27Speaker 3: crime stuff. Like I find it incredibly interesting, but I
- 20:29Speaker 3: get too scared. I don't know.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I don't find myself getting scared. I mean, I think
- 20:33Speaker 2: because I know Ivan Milat's dead. Yeah. That helps.
- 20:37Speaker 1: It was actually awful.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Because sometimes, you know, when you watch a TV show
- 20:41Speaker 2: and someone dies in it and you can disconnect.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Because you go, oh, that's just a story.
- 20:44Speaker 2: But the fact that this is real life, I think
- 20:46Speaker 2: that was the saddest thing. But if you like true
- 20:48Speaker 2: crime and you haven't seen it, it is a good
- 20:49Speaker 2: one to watch on Prime.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Well, that is where we're going to leave things today.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Thank you so much for subscribing to Outspoken Plus. We
- 20:56Speaker 3: really appreciate the support. If you do love the show,
- 20:59Speaker 3: we'd really appreciate it if you did recommend it to
