Luna: La escalera. Lucas: Good. La escalera. You might see it on a playground, like a climbing ladder. Luna: So if I want to say 'the ladder is tall,' I'd say 'la escalera es alta'? Lucas: Exactly. That's perfect. Second word: el túnel. 'The tunnel'. Luna: El túnel. Like a crawl-through tunnel. Lucas: Right. El túnel. Kids love those. And the third word is la casita. 'The little house'. Luna: Aww, la casita. That's cute. Lucas: It is. La casita is like a playhouse. Let me say all three again: la escalera, el túnel, la casita. Luna: La escalera, el túnel, la casita. Lucas: Nice. Now let's put them in sentences. First: 'Los niños suben la escalera.' — The kids climb the ladder. Luna: Los niños suben la escalera. Lucas: Yes. Next: 'El túnel es divertido.' — The tunnel is fun. Luna: El túnel es divertido. Lucas: And: 'La casita es pequeña.' — The little house is small. Luna: La casita es pequeña. Lucas: You're nailing these. Now, imagine you're at a park with a friend. You see a ladder, a tunnel, and a little house. How would you describe them? Luna: Umm... I see la escalera, el túnel, y la casita. La escalera es alta, el túnel es divertido, la casita es pequeña.
