- 3:24Speaker 1: ambiguous leaderboard I guess with a bunch of other YouTube channels.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And we just want to we just want to chart. Yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 1: So thank you in thank you, Okay, before we get
- 3:35Speaker 1: into our recap, Beatrice did you have any takeaways after
- 3:39Speaker 1: watching this episode.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The only takeaway I have is that I want to
- 3:42Speaker 3: go to Alaska me too.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It looks so beautiful.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yes, it's literally perfect.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I want to live there if it wasn't so expensive.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Oh.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Also, when they were grocery shopping, I was kind of
- 3:52Speaker 3: eyeballing some of the prices at the grocery store, I know.
- 3:55Speaker 3: And I'm pissed off me too about this hyperinflation because
- 3:59Speaker 3: this is a lot back in twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, whatever,
- 4:03Speaker 3: and it's already a higher cost of living. But even
- 4:05Speaker 3: back then, yep, the prices were cheaper than what it
- 4:08Speaker 3: is right now.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I know. I was just at the croker. We just
- 4:12Speaker 1: wanted to get some stuff for sandwiches, some deli meats,
- 4:16Speaker 1: some bread, Like the bread is so expensive. And now
- 4:20Speaker 1: what these companies are doing is selling mini loafs. Yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 1: it's a half loaf for the same price as I
- 4:27Speaker 1: used to pay for a full loaf. And the size
- 4:30Speaker 1: of the bread pieces, the slices of bread, they're manature, Like,
- 4:33Speaker 1: what is happening here? Do we not have any consumer
- 4:37Speaker 1: advocacy in this country?
- 4:39Speaker 3: Now?
- 4:39Speaker 1: How come this is happening? It makes me have so
- 4:43Speaker 1: much rage.
- 4:44Speaker 3: We are not angry enough collective enough.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And yes I noticed the prices as well. I've also
- 4:51Speaker 1: been to that grocery store. Really, I've also been to
- 4:54Speaker 1: that town. We stayed at a hotel called the al Yeskah,
- 4:57Speaker 1: my god, so I was real familiar with it. But
- 4:59Speaker 1: that's out to Girdwood was like looking at portraiture. Yes,
- 5:04Speaker 1: like this can't be actual real life.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Literally my dream.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Alaska is gorgeous. And that's my takeaway too. Yeah, all right,
- 5:11Speaker 1: without further ado, let's get into today's recap of Sister
- 5:16Speaker 1: Wives Season nine, episode eleven, and to Totti.
- 5:20Speaker 2: A boy or a girl?
- 5:23Speaker 3: Oh, because we're going to center the whole episode around
- 5:26Speaker 3: Robin and co and their baby gender reveal. But we
- 5:30Speaker 3: have the whole family preparing for their trip to Alaska.
- 5:33Speaker 3: The only one that's not able to make it is Hunter,
- 5:36Speaker 3: who is at some Air Force academy or something in
- 5:39Speaker 3: Nevada or whatever. And that's great for him, but everybody
- 5:43Speaker 3: else in the family is Colorado.
- 5:44Speaker 2: But is it I don't know the.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Air Force academy. Well I don't know Colorado.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Do you think I know shit about shit?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Well, I mean, your wife's father went to the Air
- 5:53Speaker 1: Force Academy.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And aren't there multiple Air Force academies. Don't think there's
- 5:57Speaker 3: literally just one. I think it's the one in Colorado
- 5:59Speaker 3: Spring Goddamn right, Sorry, I'm not an expert anyway. So
- 6:04Speaker 3: Hunter's at the Air Force Academy. Everybody's getting ready for
- 6:07Speaker 3: their trip to Alaska. Everyone is going to be there
- 6:10Speaker 3: except for him, so including Logan and his significant other, Michelle,
- 6:15Speaker 3: and Maddie and Caleb. Caleb has to work, so he's
- 6:19Speaker 3: only going to be there for a couple of days,
- 6:20Speaker 3: but he's gonna fly in and meet the family as
- 6:23Speaker 3: Maddie's significant other, even though the family kind of knows
- 6:25Speaker 3: him already because he's associated with the family. But not
- 6:29Speaker 3: much to really go over. At the beginning of this episode,
- 6:32Speaker 3: everybody's packing, everybody's chaotic and unorganized.
- 6:35Speaker 2: As per usual.
- 6:37Speaker 3: But we have like a little segment with Janelle kind
- 6:39Speaker 3: of talking about Maddie and Caleb and like how they
- 6:42Speaker 3: first met and when they first met, Maddie was underage
- 6:46Speaker 3: and allegedly Caleb wasn't interested in her because she was
- 6:49Speaker 3: a minor and sure, Jen, but Maddie was obviously hardcore
- 6:55Speaker 3: flirting with him even though she was underage, but now
- 6:59Speaker 3: she's so it's fine.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Right, So he was waiting for her to become legal allegedly.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But also I thought that Mattie said in this episode
- 7:08Speaker 1: that originally she didn't like Caleb. Yeah, they were not friends,
- 7:13Speaker 1: but then when you hear Janelle talk about it, it's like, no,
- 7:16Speaker 1: she was flirting with him from the very beginning.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, And according to Janelle, Caleb was the one that
- 7:21Speaker 3: brushed Mattie off because she was too young. Yep, but
- 7:24Speaker 3: Mattie's saying that she was the one that was like, no,
- 7:27Speaker 3: it wasn't interested at all.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't believe it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Okay, whatever press.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Acts we got to say to kind of blur the
- 7:34Speaker 3: lines of your guys' age gap, like whatever, okay. And
- 7:39Speaker 3: then we also have Cody and Robin going to get
- 7:42Speaker 3: their baby ultrasound before everybody leaves for Alaska, because they
- 7:45Speaker 3: plan to tell everybody it's a big surprise, reveal what
- 7:48Speaker 3: the gender of the baby is.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And honestly, like, I don't I.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Don't care, nobody cares.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I really don't care at all.
- 7:55Speaker 3: And so then when they arrive in Alaska, they rented
- 7:57Speaker 3: this big house. I guess it was like a multiple
- 8:01Speaker 3: house rental or something, but they rented the whole thing
- 8:03Speaker 3: because they have a million people. Logan has Michelle there.
- 8:07Speaker 3: He's a little bit worried about her because she comes
- 8:09Speaker 3: from a very small family and this is a very
- 8:12Speaker 3: large family and it's a bit overwhelming. So he's just
- 8:15Speaker 3: trying his best to make sure that she's comfortable.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And we love that.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We love it a lot. At some point, Janelle kind
- 8:20Speaker 1: of talks about how cool it is to see Logan
- 8:23Speaker 1: in a romantic relationshipeah, just how he's taking care of
- 8:27Speaker 1: Michelle and how he's so sweet, and it really was
- 8:30Speaker 1: cool to see and to know that they go on
- 8:33Speaker 1: to get married and they've been together all these years.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That's pretty special.
- 8:37Speaker 3: That's what I really liked about It was like, you know,
- 8:39Speaker 3: this is the first time we're really introduced to Michelle
- 8:42Speaker 3: or introduced to a girlfriend of Logan's, and it is
- 8:44Speaker 3: the girl that he ends up marrying. And same thing
- 8:46Speaker 3: with Maddie, like we get introduced to her significant other
- 8:49Speaker 3: and she ends up marrying him and having a bunch
- 8:51Speaker 3: of kids. Like I do love that for them. I
- 8:53Speaker 3: think it's really cute as well. And then when we're
- 8:56Speaker 3: at the Alaskan rental. You know, everybody's unpacking or whatever
- 9:00Speaker 3: and getting settled. We have this little tiff between Solomon,
- 9:04Speaker 3: who's like a three year old, I don't know. He
- 9:08Speaker 3: bawls his hand into a fist and I think he
- 9:11Speaker 3: like tries to hit one of the kids or something.
- 9:15Speaker 3: This pisses Garrison off because he's a parentified child, I think,
- 9:19Speaker 3: and he tries to reprimand Solomon, but he does it
- 9:25Speaker 3: poorly because he's also a child. And then the parents
- 9:28Speaker 3: get super pissed off at Garrison because you know you're
- 9:32Speaker 3: a child, don't act like a parent. What are you doing?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Oh my god, this made me so angry. Can't we
- 9:38Speaker 1: just stop here for a moment? Yep? Because who are
- 9:41Speaker 1: you fooling? You have parentified all of your children. And
- 9:46Speaker 1: Cody's like, you don't presume to tell me, Garrison, how
- 9:51Speaker 1: to correct my own child. And he's like, I'm just
- 9:53Speaker 1: trying to advise you. That's yeah, Oh the audacity. But like,
- 9:57Speaker 1: Cody's your dad, so I get it. Are we trying
- 10:00Speaker 1: to pretend that you haven't put these kids in this
- 10:03Speaker 1: position the entire time? And after we watched mckelte's interview,
- 10:08Speaker 1: the most recent interview with cults to consciousness. She talks
- 10:12Speaker 1: a lot about how she was out here changing diapers
- 10:15Speaker 1: her siblings diapers when she was four years old. So
- 10:19Speaker 1: it's absolutely in alignment with the way they've conducted themselves
- 10:23Speaker 1: as parents to have Garrison out here trying to parent
- 10:25Speaker 1: Solomon inappropriately. Yes, yeah, and he shouldn't be doing it
- 10:29Speaker 1: the way that he's doing it, of course, but like
- 10:31Speaker 1: can you blame him? Because where are you exactly?
- 10:34Speaker 3: And my thing that pissed me off about it was
- 10:36Speaker 3: like there was no accountability for the parents in acknowledging
- 10:40Speaker 3: that they made their older kids PARENTI like, parent all
- 10:43Speaker 3: of the younger kids. There was absolutely none of that.
- 10:46Speaker 3: They were just saying like, well, we don't really like
- 10:48Speaker 3: it when the older kids try to parent the young
- 10:51Speaker 3: since like, what.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Do you mean?
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, just last season was an Aspen taking care of
- 10:57Speaker 1: truly who had a kidney infection, Like that's the thing.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Cody was on the grill burning steaks and couldn't give
- 11:03Speaker 1: a shit, Like your kids are still even in this episode,
- 11:06Speaker 1: Logan is still getting all the kids together and being
- 11:10Speaker 1: a parent more than these five.
- 11:12Speaker 3: I was just about to say that, like Logan straight
- 11:14Speaker 3: up was acting like a sixth parent in front of
- 11:17Speaker 3: everybody this entire trip, like he's organizing everything. But it's
- 11:21Speaker 3: okay when he does it, and it's okay when Aspen
- 11:23Speaker 3: does it because they do it the right way right
- 11:26Speaker 3: and they've been parentified since they were wee. But when
- 11:29Speaker 3: Garrison does it and again he like you said, he
- 11:32Speaker 3: did it kind of poorly because he's a teenager, then
- 11:35Speaker 3: he gets reprimanded.
- 11:36Speaker 1: But that kind of goes back to our ongoing conversation
- 11:39Speaker 1: about how it really does feel like they target Garrison,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and it also feels like Garrison acts out maybe because
- 11:48Speaker 1: of that, Like he's always butting heads in particular with Cody,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and I'm like, what's what's really going on here? Because
- 11:55Speaker 1: of course, in later seasons, Garrison is the one who
- 11:58Speaker 1: calls Robin and who kind of front's Robin about how
- 12:01Speaker 1: she is stealing all of Cody's time, et cetera. He
- 12:05Speaker 1: plays a big role in calling out what's happening in
- 12:08Speaker 1: the family, and you can kind of see him agitating
- 12:12Speaker 1: now at this younger age, and I just feel like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I feel bad because I can see how Cody focused
- 12:19Speaker 1: him in a way that was focused on him in
- 12:21Speaker 1: a way that wasn't necessarily appropriate, almost like he felt
- 12:26Speaker 1: like Garrison challenged him personally, do you know what I mean?
- 12:30Speaker 3: And he probably did. I mean, because that's how kids
- 12:32Speaker 3: are with your parents, Like your kids are supposed to
- 12:35Speaker 3: kind of challenge you.
- 12:36Speaker 1: As a parent, But he's taking it personally.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And I think that's exactly what's happening here. And like
- 12:42Speaker 3: I think with Garrison, the other aspect is that he
- 12:45Speaker 3: does tend to be seen or viewed as the kid
- 12:49Speaker 3: that has anger issues or like has more of like
- 12:52Speaker 3: a short fuse. And so I think that triggers maybe Cody,
- 12:56Speaker 3: maybe triggers Mary a bit, triggers some of these parents
- 13:00Speaker 3: because they don't like that and they don't want to
- 13:02Speaker 3: see a kid act out.
- 13:03Speaker 1: But it's like, are you asking yourself why?
- 13:07Speaker 3: And that's what kind of pisses me off about it,
- 13:08Speaker 3: because you can tell like there's something going on with Garrison,
- 13:12Speaker 3: and I don't want to, like, you know, paint my
- 13:15Speaker 3: own perspective on his mental health struggles here, because I
- 13:19Speaker 3: obviously am not Garrison, and I don't know what he
- 13:21Speaker 3: was going through this time. I can just relate to
- 13:23Speaker 3: it because I was a kid that used to act
- 13:25Speaker 3: out a bit too, and I used to be pretty angry,
- 13:28Speaker 3: and even as an adult, like I still struggle with
- 13:30Speaker 3: those aspects because you know, I didn't learn how to
- 13:33Speaker 3: like regulate my emotions because I didn't grow up in
- 13:36Speaker 3: a house where I learned how to do that. And
- 13:38Speaker 3: when you grow up in a house like this with
- 13:39Speaker 3: a million fucking kids and no parents around to help
- 13:42Speaker 3: you learn how to emotionally regulate, like you're gonna be
- 13:47Speaker 3: kind of pent up. So I don't know, I just
- 13:49Speaker 3: felt bad for Garrison. I also feel bad that these
- 13:52Speaker 3: are the moments that are memorialized for him. It actually
- 13:55Speaker 3: really bothers me a bit, like watching these back and
- 13:58Speaker 3: I just don't like.
- 14:00Speaker 1: It, agreed at all.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I also felt like they were getting mad at him
- 14:05Speaker 3: because he was targeting Solomon, which is Robin's kid, And
- 14:09Speaker 3: how dare anybody target my sweet baby vampire child.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Well, and you do have to wonder though,
- 14:17Speaker 1: like whether there's some jealousy there with Garrison, Yeah, because
- 14:21Speaker 1: he's seeing in these moments how much Cody prefers not
- 14:27Speaker 1: just Robin but her kids who he just adopted, and
- 14:31Speaker 1: also Solomon, who is his bio child. And I think
- 14:34Speaker 1: Garrison is probably a paternally neglected son, and here Cody
- 14:40Speaker 1: is just doting on King Solomon with his cherubic, beautiful,
- 14:44Speaker 1: little three year old behaviors and everything. And I'm sure
- 14:48Speaker 1: there is some jealousy for Garrison, but like, okay, Janelle,
- 14:52Speaker 1: instead of like always correcting him and lecturing him like
- 14:56Speaker 1: you're supposed to be his soft place to land, I
- 15:00Speaker 1: just wish there was more context, more understanding, and maybe
- 15:03Speaker 1: behind the scenes Janelle was having those conversations made Garrison
- 15:07Speaker 1: because certainly when he becomes an adult and he buys
- 15:10Speaker 1: his own place, he makes a spot in his backyard
- 15:12Speaker 1: for Janelle to have a garden. He loves his mother.
- 15:15Speaker 1: He's protective of his mother. So I'm hoping that Janelle
- 15:18Speaker 1: is actually having a dialogue with him about this stuff
- 15:22Speaker 1: and yeah, saying, hey, I understand why you feel like
- 15:24Speaker 1: you need to step in, but like it would be
- 15:27Speaker 1: great if you could also show the audience that because,
- 15:30Speaker 1: like you say, like this is really all we ever
- 15:31Speaker 1: get from Garrison, his fights with Gabe, like his tantrums,
- 15:35Speaker 1: his anger issues. Yep, nobody ever talks about why they
- 15:40Speaker 1: might be, like why we have these issues?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's the thing that's hard for me is like,
- 15:45Speaker 3: cause I just don't know if those kinds of conversations
- 15:47Speaker 3: are really happening behind the scenes. If Janelle or any
- 15:50Speaker 3: of the family is sitting down with Garrison and being okay,
- 15:53Speaker 3: you've been acted up a bit, Are you okay? Is
- 15:56Speaker 3: there anything that you want to talk about?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Like, we're here for you. I think it's.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Hard for parents to do that sometimes because teenagehood is
- 16:02Speaker 3: difficult for everybody around, and like there's a lot of
- 16:05Speaker 3: emotions and a lot of ridiculousness or whatever. But I
- 16:09Speaker 3: just I don't know. I felt bad for Garrison. I've
- 16:12Speaker 3: been a Garrison and so I just it sucks that
- 16:16Speaker 3: this is a scene that is here forever.
- 16:19Speaker 2: It just bothers me.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You just wish you could go back in time and
- 16:24Speaker 1: give him a hug yeah, and.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Just keep on it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He does need it and can tell he needs it.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, And it just sucks.
- 16:30Speaker 3: And so then the next day or whatever, the family
- 16:32Speaker 3: goes out for breakfast, and I just can't imagine being
- 16:36Speaker 3: like in a small town in Alaska and having twenty
- 16:39Speaker 3: five people want to come home for breakfast. I would
- 16:43Speaker 3: be so stressed. If I was working at a restaurant
- 16:45Speaker 3: and I saw the Browns coming in, and then they
- 16:48Speaker 3: go grocery shopping because they want to you know, obviously
- 16:52Speaker 3: eat at home for the majority of the time because
- 16:54Speaker 3: eating out is not practical for this large of a family.
- 16:57Speaker 3: So they have twenty four people, that's twenty four meal
- 17:00Speaker 3: for eight days. And I'm confused because at one point,
- 17:03Speaker 3: like Logan says that they're going to be there for
- 17:05Speaker 3: fourteen days with all these people, but then when they
- 17:08Speaker 3: go grocery shopping, it's only eight days, so I don't
- 17:10Speaker 3: know what that means. But they're at the fred Meyer,
- 17:13Speaker 3: they're going grocery shopping. They have stupidly bring the entire
- 17:17Speaker 3: family with them, which I'm just like, why would you
- 17:19Speaker 3: do that. I'm already over stimulated.
- 17:21Speaker 1: To send a couple of the wives for.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Real, And then it's much more organized.
- 17:25Speaker 3: But they go shopping, and everybody's playing bet placing bets
- 17:28Speaker 3: on how much the grocery bill is going to be
- 17:31Speaker 3: a lot of the older parentified children are like, we
- 17:34Speaker 3: got way too much fucking food, Like we don't need
- 17:36Speaker 3: all of this.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I don't know what we're doing.
- 17:38Speaker 3: But ultimately they end up at the end paying over
- 17:42Speaker 3: twenty eight hundred dollars for their groceries.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And again, I'm just thinking that if this was.
- 17:46Speaker 1: In today's oh my god.
- 17:48Speaker 3: It would be like six thousand dollars, six or seven
- 17:50Speaker 3: thousand dollars like at least. And it just pisses me
- 17:54Speaker 3: off so fucking bad because there's literally no reason for
- 17:58Speaker 3: our groceries to be this expensive.
- 18:00Speaker 1: You're right, I think these corporations are gouging us. Yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 1: like when there's an emergency, like a national emergency, where
- 18:07Speaker 1: there's whether there's like a state emergency or hurricane or whatever.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Like if a gas station gouges and raises their prices
- 18:14Speaker 1: because people need to get gas, like that's an offense,
- 18:18Speaker 1: Like you can be fine, like the government will go
- 18:20Speaker 1: after your ass. And I'm just wondering when the government
- 18:25Speaker 1: is going to go after the ass of all of
- 18:27Speaker 1: these corporations. Fucking freedom, labe, dude. I was looking at
- 18:31Speaker 1: I know, I was looking at Dorito's at Groger when
- 18:33Speaker 1: we're doing sandwiches and stuff like that. The bags are
- 18:36Speaker 1: so much smaller, and of course you can't see into
- 18:39Speaker 1: them because if you were to see into them, you
- 18:41Speaker 1: would see maybe twenty five percent of the bag is
- 18:43Speaker 1: filled with chips, like Why isn't there some kind of
- 18:46Speaker 1: regulation where companies can't fucking do this to you. I
- 18:49Speaker 1: was watching somebody on YouTube, and let's just go on
- 18:52Speaker 1: a tangent here, but I was watching somebody on YouTube
- 18:55Speaker 1: talk about how gen Z is actually the disruptor for
- 19:00Speaker 1: a lot of this because unlike my generation Gen X
- 19:04Speaker 1: and even a lot of the millennials, and certainly there's
- 19:06Speaker 1: no boomers out here doing this, gen Z will call
- 19:09Speaker 1: your company out. They will open your bag of Gurrito's
- 19:12Speaker 1: on TikTok and they will pour it out and show
- 19:14Speaker 1: that there's only sixteen chips in that entire bag, and
- 19:17Speaker 1: they will shame these companies. And it's actually having a
- 19:21Speaker 1: big impact good on a lot of them. Like McDonald's
- 19:24Speaker 1: has been down in terms of their profits, Wendy's sits down,
- 19:28Speaker 1: Burger King is down them all, but fast food like
- 19:31Speaker 1: Chick fil A, fast food like In and Out, also Chili's,
- 19:36Speaker 1: they actually are increasing in profitability because they are not
- 19:39Speaker 1: trying to gouge everybody. Like, I just don't understand. I
- 19:43Speaker 1: just don't like, how do you stop this? Now? There
- 19:46Speaker 1: is some of it that is actual legitimate inflammation, inflammation,
- 19:51Speaker 1: economical inflammation, and inflation due to COVID and printing money
- 19:56Speaker 1: on demand. Yeah, there's going to be a correction to that.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But like, we need some help out here. We see
- 20:01Speaker 1: all these billionaires just enriching themselves in fucking data centers, Like,
- 20:05Speaker 1: can you just help them? I gotta stop. This is
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna it is really awful.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's horrible.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like this in all of my life.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And I've been through like the seventies, gas shortages, I've
- 20:18Speaker 1: been through inflation in the nineties, interest rates that were
- 20:21Speaker 1: sixteen percent for home buying. Like, I've seen a lot
- 20:23Speaker 1: of shit, but I ain't never seen this shit.
- 20:25Speaker 3: No, And it's fucking bullshit. And it doesn't seem like
- 20:27Speaker 3: there's any like relief.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Any end in sight, like any plan. Nobody's even talking
- 20:35Speaker 1: about it in our government, I know, And honestly, I
- 20:38Speaker 1: don't think it matters what side of the aisle you prefer.
- 20:41Speaker 1: None of them are talking about it, and they're talking
- 20:43Speaker 1: about their pet fucking interests and nobody cares about actual Americans.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And it's really really infuriating. And say, bitch, I was
- 20:52Speaker 1: looking at those prices too. It was like two ninety
- 20:54Speaker 1: nine for like peanut butter or something. I'm like, oh,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you know what, fucking world.
- 20:58Speaker 3: And a dozen of eggs was like three bucks, and
- 21:00Speaker 3: I'm like, what the fuck is going on in Alaska?
- 21:03Speaker 1: So that's ninety nine cents in Texas exactly the way
- 21:06Speaker 1: that it ought to be.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Like, come on, I just don't understand. It just pisses beyond.
- 21:10Speaker 1: The names on the side of my head.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I wonder if we have any international raccoons or prices
- 21:16Speaker 3: just as insane over there, or is it just Americans
- 21:18Speaker 3: that are getting aspucked.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I think people around the world are getting as fucked.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I think because it's a global elite society. Yeah, that's
- 21:26Speaker 1: bending a silver and throws back to Cody Brown's sister.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Sorry about that, guys, I'm.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Just fucking pissed off about you. So then the family
- 21:38Speaker 3: goes panning for gold, and maybe.
- 21:39Speaker 1: We need to do that so that way we can
- 21:41Speaker 1: maybe we can sell some gold or something like that. Geez, Curney.
- 21:47Speaker 2: They go panning for gold.
- 21:49Speaker 3: It's fun or whatever, and then the family does a
- 21:52Speaker 3: little competition to see who got the most gold. Of
- 21:55Speaker 3: course it's Garrison because he's the goat, and he got
- 21:58Speaker 3: like ninety dollars worth of.
- 22:00Speaker 1: But did you hear Robin say, oh my gosh, I'm
- 22:02Speaker 1: gonna have so much fun today. I love gold. Yes,
- 22:05Speaker 1: she's like, oh okay, she's got champagne tastes this woman,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and when she enters the family, she's got a beer budget.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Yep.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But now we're in twenty fifteen, we're going into twenty sixteen,
- 22:16Speaker 1: she's starting to siphon off the money and she wants
- 22:19Speaker 1: to collect her gold.
- 22:20Speaker 3: And I think it's funny that that's like the one
- 22:22Speaker 3: activity that she participated in because when they go hiking later,
- 22:26Speaker 3: she's at home.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Yeah, she's pregnant. I can't do it.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I can't do it, but I can pan for gold though.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I want a new gold ring, please and thank you.
- 22:35Speaker 3: And while they're panning for gold, they do this like
- 22:37Speaker 3: I think it was the ham Trail or something like that,
- 22:41Speaker 3: where they're in that little metal thing and Christine's screaming
- 22:45Speaker 3: a lot.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Christine was screaming all episode.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I just had to mention it because it was really annoying.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Screaming on the couch, talking about how she was screaming
- 22:53Speaker 1: on the cage and I'm like, why are you screaming
- 22:55Speaker 1: all the time? And maybe I'm neurospicy and I don't
- 22:58Speaker 1: know it, but I'm just like, somebody, shut this pitch up.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I understand you're excited, and I understand you're happy, but like,
- 23:04Speaker 1: can you just stop screaming all the time. Some people
- 23:07Speaker 1: can't handle decibels well.
- 23:10Speaker 3: And for me, I was thinking about it, like, I
- 23:13Speaker 3: feel like she's compensating for something. I feel like this
- 23:16Speaker 3: isn't actually her real personality, Like she's kind of obnoxious
- 23:20Speaker 3: in general. She's kind of a loud, boisterous person. But
- 23:22Speaker 3: there's a difference between being a loud, boisterous person and
- 23:25Speaker 3: somebody who is compensating and trying to be like fun
- 23:29Speaker 3: and loud, like look at me, Ah, it's like, shut
- 23:32Speaker 3: the fuck up. You don't have to act like that.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I felt like she was compensating for Cody or something.
- 23:39Speaker 3: But Cody, you can tell, is annoyed way.
- 23:42Speaker 1: He's repulsed by it.
- 23:43Speaker 2: He's disgusted, he is he hates her so much.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And the more he hates her, the more she screams
- 23:51Speaker 1: for attention.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yet that's what it is.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yes, the more he pulls away, the more she's like
- 23:55Speaker 1: big and old and fun and I'm cheerleader for the family.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I'm like Christine and like I'm a Leo.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I like loud people. I like obnoxious people because I
- 24:07Speaker 3: think it's fun.
- 24:08Speaker 2: But she's annoying as fun.
- 24:11Speaker 1: What I feel like you're saying something?
- 24:14Speaker 2: No, me, what you're a Taurus.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't you think I'm obnoxious?
- 24:18Speaker 2: No, I don't think you're loud?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Really yeah, okay, but anyway, go on.
- 24:27Speaker 3: No, But like, I like loud people and I think
- 24:29Speaker 3: they're fun, but like Christine was annoying me. So maybe
- 24:32Speaker 3: I'm neurospicy too, But I'm just.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Like, shut the fuck up.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 24:36Speaker 3: You don't need to scream all the time. It's just obnoxious.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And so then Caleb arrives, he flies in. He's again
- 24:43Speaker 3: only there for a couple of days because he has
- 24:45Speaker 3: to work, because he's a hardworking man.
- 24:47Speaker 1: We love that.
- 24:48Speaker 3: We do love that he's meeting the whole family as
- 24:51Speaker 3: Maddie's significant other. The family again knows of Kayleb because
- 24:55Speaker 3: his sister is married to Cody's brother. Right, so I
- 24:58Speaker 3: think he's like.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Is that the brother that passed?
- 25:01Speaker 2: I don't know. It's kind of blurred.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I thought it was Curtis, but then I am not sure.
- 25:06Speaker 1: But yes, that is how he is related to the family.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so the family knows of him. Mattie is already
- 25:12Speaker 3: a little bit embarrassed because she doesn't want her family
- 25:15Speaker 3: to bombard Caleb with a bunch of questions and a
- 25:17Speaker 3: bunch of obnoxiousness. So she kind of tells the family
- 25:20Speaker 3: to like, chill the fuck out. And I think Logan,
- 25:22Speaker 3: also as the older brother and the sixth parent, is like, y'all, chill,
- 25:27Speaker 3: it's Mattie's boyfriend. Let's be on best behavior. And ultimately
- 25:31Speaker 3: everybody ends up listening to Logan because he's the real
- 25:34Speaker 3: dad here. And so when Caleb arrives, Mattie's expecting everybody
- 25:38Speaker 3: to hound him for everything, and everybody's just awkwardly staring
- 25:41Speaker 3: at him and is very quiet and very respectful, which
- 25:44Speaker 3: is kind of cute in its own way, but Mattie
- 25:46Speaker 3: thinks it's a little awkward. And you know, we hear
- 25:50Speaker 3: from Mattie a little bit saying that she knows that
- 25:52Speaker 3: Caleb is the one She's gonna be with him forever.
- 25:55Speaker 3: She loves him so much. And I just think that's
- 25:57Speaker 3: really cute because they do end up together for and
- 26:00Speaker 3: they have a bunch of kids and I thought it
- 26:02Speaker 3: was cute just seeing them so young, because Caleb looks
- 26:04Speaker 3: all handsome and nicely.
- 26:08Speaker 2: No, he does.
- 26:10Speaker 1: He looks the best that he's ever going to look
- 26:11Speaker 1: in this moment, and Maddie is really smitten. Yeah, he
- 26:16Speaker 1: seems like a gentleman. And the age gap is inappropriate,
- 26:19Speaker 1: especially if Janelle has been facilitating this relationship, which I
- 26:23Speaker 1: believe she has been since Maddy was maybe sixteen years old.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I don't know, that's conjecture, it's a legit, but they're
- 26:30Speaker 1: here now, they're in love. Yeah, and it's cute.
- 26:34Speaker 2: And how old is he now? Is he like twenty seven?
- 26:36Speaker 2: He's not in his thirties right now?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Is he in the season?
- 26:39Speaker 2: In this season?
- 26:40Speaker 1: No? I think he's like twenty nine, twenty eight, twenty nine. Oh,
- 26:44Speaker 1: but I think she's eighteen nineteen, she's first year of college.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yikes, it's inappropri I mean, it's inappropro But you know,
- 26:53Speaker 3: they're happy now and whatever, and they're grown adults and stuff,
- 26:56Speaker 3: and that's fine. But it is a little weird, yes,
- 26:59Speaker 3: at this point, Like I'm old, I'm twenty nine, and
- 27:02Speaker 3: I can't imagine like even going after somebody seventeen seventeen. Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 3: like they're literally children to me, right, but whatever, So
- 27:10Speaker 3: then you're not a man?
- 27:11Speaker 2: No, oh yes, I'm not.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yikes.
- 27:14Speaker 3: So then the family goes hiking on the Iditarod charrail
- 27:17Speaker 3: and it's absolutely fucking gorgeous. But Robin is staying home
- 27:22Speaker 3: doing whatever, and maybe she's staying home with Solomon. I
- 27:24Speaker 3: don't know.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I guess I shouldn't be too critical because she is
- 27:27Speaker 2: pregnant or whatever.
- 27:28Speaker 3: She's got a little killed. But everybody goes hiking. They
- 27:32Speaker 3: meet up with a you pick tour guide.
- 27:35Speaker 2: He says he's an Eskimo. His name is Mo.
- 27:42Speaker 3: And then Cody are kind of shooting the shit and
- 27:45Speaker 3: it's kind of funny a little bit. They're talking about
- 27:47Speaker 3: polygamy of course, you know. Of course the Eskimo is like,
- 27:51Speaker 3: so you Mormon, and we have to make the distinction. Well, yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 3: but we're fundamental this Mormon. We're not a part of
- 27:56Speaker 3: the Mormon church because you know, the LDS Church would
- 27:59Speaker 3: have had a fit if the Browns tried to associate
- 28:01Speaker 3: themselves with them. And Moe the Eskimo says that they
- 28:06Speaker 3: used to be polygamists too, back in the before four times,
- 28:10Speaker 3: but now they're not, and then he tries to pimp
- 28:12Speaker 3: out his six sons with Cody's daughters, and I guess Cody,
- 28:16Speaker 3: according to Mary, made a comment about selling his daughters
- 28:19Speaker 3: for a price, but Cody was just joking, and I'm.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Just like, ugh, why don't we have to watch this interaction?
- 28:25Speaker 2: I know it's just annoying.
- 28:28Speaker 3: And so then when they're taking their little hike, they
- 28:31Speaker 3: stop for lunch at one point, and this is where
- 28:33Speaker 3: Cody goes and sits with Maddie and Caleb very awkwardly.
- 28:37Speaker 1: That was such a strange conversation.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I hated this.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I was uncomfortable because Cody is like he knows on
- 28:44Speaker 3: the back of his mind, and all of the parents
- 28:46Speaker 3: know that Maddie and Caleb are surus that Caleb's probably
- 28:50Speaker 3: going to ask Maddie to marry him at some point,
- 28:54Speaker 3: and so Cody goes over there with that thought in
- 28:56Speaker 3: mind and starts telling the story about how he went
- 28:58Speaker 3: and asked Robin Grandpa for her hand in marriage and
- 29:03Speaker 3: he was given him shit for it, and I'm just like,
- 29:06Speaker 3: nobody cares, dude.
- 29:07Speaker 1: It's also interesting though, that he would select this story
- 29:10Speaker 1: of Robin Yea because he's got three other wives, and
- 29:13Speaker 1: it's just so obvious to me that he only thinks
- 29:17Speaker 1: about Robin when he's thinking about a love story, Like
- 29:20Speaker 1: he could not give a shit about his other three wives.
- 29:23Speaker 3: And it's so funny because it's like, this is Janelle's daughter,
- 29:25Speaker 3: so why don't you talk about yeah, meeting her mom
- 29:29Speaker 3: and asking whoever for her handed marriage, But no, like
- 29:33Speaker 3: we're gonna talk about Robin, and I just wonder what
- 29:35Speaker 3: their thoughts were at that time. I mean, obviously, Maddie
- 29:38Speaker 3: says to the camera like this is weird.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and she's looking away and she's just counting the
- 29:43Speaker 1: minutes down before Dad stops talking.
- 29:46Speaker 3: And she's like worried about if she gets up, like
- 29:48Speaker 3: he's gonna bombard Caleb with questions about their relationship or whatever.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I do that to you when you came into the family,
- 29:55Speaker 1: when you first met me and I knew that you
- 29:57Speaker 1: too were serious.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Was I like, no, but.
- 30:00Speaker 3: You you were texting me and I have screenshots from
- 30:04Speaker 3: back in the day of you being like, we'll take
- 30:07Speaker 3: you to Vegas right now and you can get married
- 30:12Speaker 3: and stuff like that. But it wasn't like anything that
- 30:14Speaker 3: made me feel uncomfortable. It was genuinely, like from an
- 30:17Speaker 3: encouraging place.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yeah, because I loved you, Yeah, exactly, so great.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, like it wasn't anything weird, like Cody
- 30:28Speaker 3: in this moment with Caleb, Yeah, and I just I
- 30:31Speaker 3: don't know. I think Cody was coming from a place
- 30:34Speaker 3: of like trying to be supportive. But like Cody doesn't
- 30:36Speaker 3: know how to be a human being because he's a
- 30:39Speaker 3: demon he's masquerading as so he's like trying to relate
- 30:44Speaker 3: with these stupid stories and it's like it doesn't really
- 30:47Speaker 3: land the way that you hope, no for it, and
- 30:49Speaker 3: he's like trying to explain it to the camera too,
- 30:52Speaker 3: Like no, it's like just being supportive and it is
- 30:53Speaker 3: being encouraging, But.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Like, how come you can't read social cues like most people,
- 31:00Speaker 1: even children, Yeah, like children can read a room sometimes,
- 31:03Speaker 1: Like you could probably look at your daughter's face and
- 31:06Speaker 1: look at Caleb's body language and deduce for your dumb
- 31:10Speaker 1: self that they're not into this conversation and maybe that
- 31:12Speaker 1: you shouldn't be having it. Maybe there's another way that
- 31:15Speaker 1: you can approach it. But no, he can't read social
- 31:17Speaker 1: cues and or he doesn't care about how anybody else feels,
- 31:21Speaker 1: and he wants to do this on camera because he
- 31:24Speaker 1: wants to seem like the good father who's encouraging Caleb
- 31:27Speaker 1: to ask his daughter for her handed marriage. I don't know,
- 31:31Speaker 1: just felt very contrived. It felt very weird, like why
- 31:35Speaker 1: are you putting your daughter through this? But Cody doesn't
- 31:38Speaker 1: care at the end of the day. Cody doesn't care,
- 31:41Speaker 1: not at all.
- 31:42Speaker 3: And I think it speaks to his narcissism a bit,
- 31:44Speaker 3: because you could just be a father and sit with
- 31:48Speaker 3: them and be like, hey, you guys are a really
- 31:50Speaker 3: great couple. You look awesome together. Caleb. I think you're
- 31:53Speaker 3: a great guy, and I just want you to know
- 31:55Speaker 3: like I support you in your relationship.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I think you're great together.
- 31:58Speaker 3: That's it doesn't need to be anything more than that.
- 32:01Speaker 3: But Cody wants to tell the story of him, and
- 32:04Speaker 3: Robin wants to let everybody know this little journey he
- 32:09Speaker 3: went on to ask for her handed marriage.
- 32:11Speaker 1: He wants to do it on camera.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Exactly, and then to the camera on the couch, he's
- 32:15Speaker 3: saying something like, well, it's just doing it to like,
- 32:17Speaker 3: you know, lay out the red carpet for Caleb to
- 32:20Speaker 3: come to me, because I know he's going to talk
- 32:22Speaker 3: to me, but I want him to know through this
- 32:24Speaker 3: story of me and Robin, this love story, that he
- 32:26Speaker 3: can come and talk to me. It's like, oh, shut up,
- 32:29Speaker 3: just shut up. You can just say that with your words. Yeah, hey, Caleb,
- 32:32Speaker 3: you can talk to me anytime.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it.
- 32:35Speaker 2: It's as simple as that.
- 32:37Speaker 3: And so then they returned back to their rental after
- 32:40Speaker 3: the hike, and Hunter had contacted Robin while everybody was
- 32:45Speaker 3: out hiking, saying that he had time to call them
- 32:49Speaker 3: because he's at the Air Force Academy. He doesn't have
- 32:51Speaker 3: a lot of time to talk to anybody, but now
- 32:53Speaker 3: he does, so he wants to FaceTime everybody. And I
- 32:56Speaker 3: actually thought that this was a really sweet moment for
- 33:00Speaker 3: the whole family. I felt like it was really unifying
- 33:02Speaker 3: in a way because I think somebody had mentioned, like
- 33:06Speaker 3: Janelle or something, that normally it's really hard to quiet
- 33:10Speaker 3: everybody down for everything, like for any kind of situation,
- 33:13Speaker 3: it's hard to get everybody to settle down. But when
- 33:15Speaker 3: it's Hunter calling the whole family, everybody is silent, everybody
- 33:19Speaker 3: is very attentive, everybody's listening, everybody's gathering together, and Janelle
- 33:23Speaker 3: actually gets a bit emotional every time he calls. And
- 33:26Speaker 3: it's so funny because she's not an emotional person at all,
- 33:31Speaker 3: And I don't think she's very in tune with her
- 33:33Speaker 3: emotions because she says something like, I don't know why
- 33:36Speaker 3: in emotional Well, because it's your baby boy, he's in
- 33:40Speaker 3: the military.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Well.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I think she's also wondering, though, why she doesn't necessarily
- 33:45Speaker 1: feel that emotional reaction with, for example, Maddie who's off
- 33:50Speaker 1: in college. Logan is off in college, is doing his
- 33:53Speaker 1: own thing, but he's in Las Vegas, so he's close by.
- 33:55Speaker 1: But so she's a little surprised at the depth of
- 33:57Speaker 1: her emotion for Hunter being away. Yeah, but I also
- 34:00Speaker 1: think that it's really sweet. I think it's very that
- 34:03Speaker 1: she loves she I think Janelle loves her children definitely.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I don't think she was the best parent necessarily, but
- 34:08Speaker 1: she definitely loves those kids.
- 34:10Speaker 3: I think she was a bit distant, like emotionally, and
- 34:12Speaker 3: so you know that you would have.
- 34:14Speaker 1: To be though, to be a polygamist, don't you think
- 34:16Speaker 1: you would have to shut down fundamental parts of yourself
- 34:20Speaker 1: in order to exist in a structure like that. So
- 34:22Speaker 1: I think she's been doing that for decades.
- 34:26Speaker 3: But she does love her kids, that is for sure.
- 34:28Speaker 3: And so Janelle's a little emotional, she's weepy, but Hunter
- 34:32Speaker 3: is happy to say hi to every kiddemy. I do
- 34:36Speaker 3: love military people, me too. And so this is also
- 34:41Speaker 3: the time that Robin and Cody decide to announce the
- 34:44Speaker 3: gender of their baby, because Hunter's.
- 34:46Speaker 4: On the condemn scenory, And like, my thing is is
- 34:51Speaker 4: if it was anybody else other than Robin and Cody,
- 34:54Speaker 4: I could see it as like an endearing moment, But
- 34:56Speaker 4: it kind of felt like to me, Robin just trying
- 34:59Speaker 4: to steal the moment for herself, Like.
- 35:01Speaker 2: No, like, let's put the attention back on me, not.
- 35:03Speaker 1: On Hunter, interestingly stealing it from Hunter, who she's got
- 35:07Speaker 1: an issue with because he was not happy the first
- 35:10Speaker 1: time she got pregnant.
- 35:11Speaker 3: And that's what I'm saying. And so Robin has little
- 35:15Speaker 3: gifts for Truly and Solomon to open their little baby
- 35:17Speaker 3: dolls that will reveal the gender of their baby. And
- 35:21Speaker 3: so she has Truly and Solomon open up the gifts.
- 35:24Speaker 3: They're pink dolls.
- 35:25Speaker 1: It's a girl.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Everybody's decided.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Everybody called it pretty much. Hunter does say something kind
- 35:31Speaker 3: of interesting. He's like, well, I've got a lot of
- 35:32Speaker 3: sisters already. I guess one more is all right or something.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So he wasn't like He's a little bit more encouraging
- 35:39Speaker 1: than that. He's like, and I love my sister, does
- 35:41Speaker 1: look forward to having another sister.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I felt like there was.
- 35:44Speaker 3: A little slight passive aggressiveness in my opinion, But everybody
- 35:49Speaker 3: starts talking to Hunter afterwards, and again everyone's quiet and
- 35:52Speaker 3: attentive and they're just happy to.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Hear from him.
- 35:54Speaker 3: It is kind of said that he's not on this
- 35:56Speaker 3: big family trip because we end the episode kind of
- 35:59Speaker 3: reflect on this trip as a whole and how this
- 36:03Speaker 3: is likely going to be the last like big family
- 36:06Speaker 3: vacation that they have where they have everybody together, because
- 36:09Speaker 3: we have all the older kids moving on with their
- 36:11Speaker 3: lives and doing their own things. Obviously, Logan and Michelle
- 36:14Speaker 3: are going to get married, Maddie and Caleb were going
- 36:17Speaker 3: to get married. Aspens in college, Logan's in college, Hunters
- 36:21Speaker 3: at the Air Force Academy. Like everybody's kind of moving on.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Leon is going to be going to graduate school.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I think one of the other ones is going to
- 36:27Speaker 2: graduate school.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I forgot, but like everybody's moving on and doing their thing,
- 36:31Speaker 3: and so it's kind of sad that Hunter's not able
- 36:33Speaker 3: to be there. But I thought that this was really sweet.
- 36:37Speaker 3: And it's kind of sad watching this back because everything
- 36:40Speaker 3: turns to shit after this, and I don't mean to laugh,
- 36:44Speaker 3: but like it really does implode.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Like they had it good.
- 36:48Speaker 3: They had the cold Sack, had the homes. I know
- 36:51Speaker 3: Cody was obviously favoring Robin, but at least they were
- 36:54Speaker 3: all within vicinity. They had the family together, the siblings
- 36:57Speaker 3: were mending their.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Relationships, right.
- 37:00Speaker 1: But Mary, We're going to get to the next episode
- 37:03Speaker 1: where Mary is going to tell the adults that she's
- 37:10Speaker 1: not sure if she's going to stay. She's saying this
- 37:13Speaker 1: at the dinner, and this I remember from when I
- 37:15Speaker 1: watched years ago, and I think she says to the
- 37:19Speaker 1: camera that something bad has happened and she's let a
- 37:22Speaker 1: terrible force into the family. I don't think she tells
- 37:25Speaker 1: them about the catfish at the dinner. I don't think
- 37:29Speaker 1: she does. I think she does at the dinner. Okay,
- 37:31Speaker 1: I'm not okay, I don't I'm not remembering necessarily, but nonetheless,
- 37:35Speaker 1: in the next episode, she's going to blow up the situation.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Between her and Cody. It's never going to recover. It
- 37:44Speaker 1: never recovered after their divorce either, And I do think
- 37:48Speaker 1: this is the beginning of the ultimate downward spiral of
- 37:52Speaker 1: the entire family, Like Cody's going to get really bitter
- 37:55Speaker 1: and upset. Leanne is obviously going to be very upset
- 37:59Speaker 1: with Mary. I think the other wives are going to
- 38:02Speaker 1: be trying to figure out, okay, like how do we
- 38:04Speaker 1: need to act and behave so that we can keep
- 38:07Speaker 1: this family together because this is obviously a huge rift
- 38:11Speaker 1: and there's just gonna be a big wobble uh huh,
- 38:14Speaker 1: And that's gonna throw the whole thing off of its axis,
- 38:17Speaker 1: and we're gonna go to flag Staff, We're gonna have COVID,
- 38:20Speaker 1: and then it's a knife in the kidneys, bitch. That's
- 38:24Speaker 1: the trajectory we're on.
- 38:26Speaker 3: And I was thinking, like watching the preview for next
- 38:29Speaker 3: week's episode, like the last half of the Alaskan trip,
- 38:32Speaker 3: like how crazy it is for Mary to announce that
- 38:36Speaker 3: on this like lovely family vacation. That's also like the
- 38:39Speaker 3: reveal of Robin's baby gender and everything. I was kind
- 38:42Speaker 3: of thinking like maybe this is when like Robin starts
- 38:46Speaker 3: to turn for the worst, Like she was already shitty,
- 38:49Speaker 3: she's already really.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Selfish or whatever.
- 38:51Speaker 3: But I'm wondering if this is also what motivates Robin
- 38:54Speaker 3: to steal Cody even further and like manipulate him even more,
- 38:58Speaker 3: because how dare amir like ruined this sweet moment for me?
- 39:02Speaker 3: If Robin's this true narcissist, like that would be such a.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Blow, right, it would be. And you can kind of
- 39:07Speaker 1: see it in this season in particular, like how every celebration,
- 39:12Speaker 1: every big storyline revolves around Robin. It's the adoption, it
- 39:17Speaker 1: is their legal marriage, it is the adoption party, it
- 39:21Speaker 1: is the biodad to her kids. It is now the
- 39:25Speaker 1: pregnancy and the announcement around that. It's like I'm kind
- 39:28Speaker 1: of sick of it, Yeah, and just wondering what's happening
- 39:31Speaker 1: behind the scenes with the other wives and the family,
- 39:34Speaker 1: Like are they feeling it like we're feeling it. They
- 39:37Speaker 1: have to be right, It's always about her. It totally
- 39:40Speaker 1: everything is about her.
- 39:42Speaker 3: It's actually a great point. This entire season has been
- 39:44Speaker 3: about her. Even the last half of season eight was
- 39:47Speaker 3: about her. It's just ramping up, yep. And so it's
- 39:51Speaker 3: funny how like it all ends with like her second pregnancy.
- 39:55Speaker 3: She's probably like at the top of the world, you know, like, mean, God,
- 39:58Speaker 3: I've got everything I wanted. And then Mary comes in
- 40:01Speaker 3: with the catfish and the family just starts to disintegrate,
- 40:04Speaker 3: and then she's going to see her empire kind of
- 40:07Speaker 3: fall down.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Well is it falling down? I mean she's in her
- 40:10Speaker 1: second mc mansion. She's sitting on top of the world.
- 40:13Speaker 1: They had a thirty episode season twenty or whatever it
- 40:17Speaker 1: was or nineteen or twenty whatever. Like she's making money
- 40:20Speaker 1: hand over fist, So she probably thinks that she's winning.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I don't know. She probably doesn't believe in karma, and
- 40:27Speaker 1: she probably doesn't think that karma is a bitch and
- 40:30Speaker 1: it's going to come for us all. And how you
- 40:32Speaker 1: treat people is how you ultimately get treated by the universe.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Robit true.
- 40:37Speaker 3: But I'm just wondering, like how they're even able to
- 40:39Speaker 3: afford all that stuff. I can't imagine all of its
- 40:43Speaker 3: cash flow or anything.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Maybe they're debt financing.
- 40:46Speaker 1: They're still debt financing. They are definitely debt. They got
- 40:49Speaker 1: to be. They are living high on the hog, well
- 40:52Speaker 1: beyond their means, and I just don't see how any
- 40:55Speaker 1: of that is sustainable now to that end, and I
- 40:58Speaker 1: know we're wrapping up, but has anybody you heard when
- 41:01Speaker 1: the next season drops?
- 41:03Speaker 2: Yeah, of Sister Wives.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I thought I heard some rumors on Reddit saying September
- 41:08Speaker 3: or was that just us? Say?
- 41:09Speaker 1: It could have just been us because typically like the
- 41:11Speaker 1: new season drops August or September and it ends around
- 41:15Speaker 1: the New Year's so we're kind of coming up on it,
- 41:17Speaker 1: but there hasn't been any talk.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Let us know if you guys know anything.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Sister Wive's ecosystem, Yeah, what's happening? Because I want to
- 41:25Speaker 1: see what's going on. I want to see what they do,
- 41:28Speaker 1: the direction that they actually take us, and whether we're
- 41:31Speaker 1: gonna get real, whether we're gonna talk about some of
- 41:34Speaker 1: these adult kids who are now on social media calling
- 41:37Speaker 1: out these parents, whether we're gonna talk about like what's
- 41:40Speaker 1: happening in the real life, or if it's just gonna
- 41:42Speaker 1: be Christine's fucking Airbnb's and Janelle's farm and like not
- 41:47Speaker 1: ever getting to the issue.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Look, it's gonna be that, it's gonna be that.
- 41:52Speaker 3: It's gonna be that, and I'm not like looking forward
- 41:54Speaker 3: to that, Like we're gonna watch it, but it's just
- 41:57Speaker 3: it's gonna be a slog and it's gonna be heavy
- 41:59Speaker 3: on the Code and Robin because they're girl gass bitches.
- 42:02Speaker 1: And that's the thing. It feels like when you're watching
- 42:04Speaker 1: this season, season nine, it feels like production's almost setting
- 42:07Speaker 1: that up by focusing so much on Godian line.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, do they not underderstand that we do not want that.
- 42:12Speaker 2: We don't give a shit.
- 42:13Speaker 1: I do not care. And again, my prediction is they're
- 42:17Speaker 1: going to have a recommitment a bowel.
- 42:20Speaker 2: I will want to watch that.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Yeah, of course I will want to watch that.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I need to see the track and all of the
- 42:27Speaker 2: money that they spend on.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I need to see all of it. Who comes, Nobody's
- 42:31Speaker 1: gonna fucking know what anyway. So there's a lot of
- 42:33Speaker 1: things that could happen, and I'm just wondering when it's
- 42:35Speaker 1: coming back. Yeah, we need to know, if you know,
- 42:38Speaker 1: let us know, And Beatrice, is there anything else that
- 42:41Speaker 1: we need to say to these beautiful raccoons before we
- 42:44Speaker 1: get up on out of here?
- 42:46Speaker 3: Well, if you love our podcast, please do us a favor.

- 42:57Speaker 1: We're going to be back next week to talk sister wives, honey,
- 43:01Speaker 1: because again it's the cabfish if it's popping off and
- 43:04Speaker 1: we're going in, so make sure to come back for that.
- 43:07Speaker 1: But in the meantime, please do.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Not forget that we have nothing but love for you,
