- 0:33Speaker 2: day on this Thursday. Steve, I know you have something inspiring.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hey, you know what my closal remarks today is something
- 0:41Speaker 1: that I was having a conversation with a person measly
- 0:43Speaker 1: and they were really really really just being really hard
- 0:47Speaker 1: on theyself, and they were just really in a position
- 0:50Speaker 1: where they were just really upset with their self to
- 0:54Speaker 1: the point where it was like it was hard to
- 0:56Speaker 1: listen to. And finally it got through it and I said, Bruh, said, man,
- 0:59Speaker 1: why you so hard? Yeah? Man, because I'm trying to
- 1:02Speaker 1: get it right and all this here and I just can't.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, he pull up, pull up, pull up,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I said, brother, listen to me. I cannot tell you
- 1:13Speaker 1: how many times I've gotten it wrong, how many mistakes.
- 1:18Speaker 1: It's it's countless, the number of mistakes I've made. I said, brother,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm a public figure. I've made mistakes out loud. I've
- 1:30Speaker 1: I've had to look at some of my mistakes play
- 1:32Speaker 1: out on the internet. I said, But brother, give yourself
- 1:39Speaker 1: some grace, because God has grace for you. Listen, man,
- 1:45Speaker 1: there's none perfect, no, not one. Stop beating yourself up
- 1:50Speaker 1: to the point where you can't recover. Sometimes we just
- 1:55Speaker 1: keep doing ourselves. Man, Stop beating yourself up. Stop listening
- 1:59Speaker 1: to the these people telling you about these lives of perfection.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Get off Instagram looking at these people's lives. That ain't
- 2:08Speaker 1: how they life go. Don't nobody post on Instagram Man
- 2:14Speaker 1: had a rough one today. Ain't nobody posting on Instagram? Man,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I spent all my money. I'm broke. No, they show
- 2:22Speaker 1: you a big check, they got a stack of money,
- 2:24Speaker 1: they got a car they driving. Ain't nobody on ig
- 2:27Speaker 1: telling you the repo man looking for it. Ain't nobody
- 2:30Speaker 1: telling you that we got a viction notice. Ain't nobody
- 2:33Speaker 1: showing you that they lights is off. They just showing
- 2:37Speaker 1: you the sunshine, and half the shine they got going
- 2:41Speaker 1: on ain't really sun at all. And you sitting up
- 2:45Speaker 1: and you getting yourself all worked up and beat up
- 2:48Speaker 1: because you comparing yourself to everybody else. Can I tell
- 2:50Speaker 1: you something about everybody else? Man, everybody else struggling too,
- 2:55Speaker 1: everybody going through something that ain't nobody living their life
- 3:00Speaker 1: problem free. Now. What they are, though, are people who
- 3:05Speaker 1: have learned how to cope with it and handle it
- 3:07Speaker 1: better than some others. And that's the position you got
- 3:11Speaker 1: to be in. But start with forgiving yourself. But you know,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I harped on this a little bit earlier in one
- 3:18Speaker 1: of my clothes remarks a couple of days ago. Part
- 3:21Speaker 1: of our problem, too is we allow too many people
- 3:24Speaker 1: in our space who keep reminding us of our past,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and that don't allow you to move forward either. Stop
- 3:32Speaker 1: having these these old woe is meet conversations about what
- 3:35Speaker 1: I did and what I have and that's why I'm here. Now,
- 3:38Speaker 1: Stop having that conversation because you keep yourself right there
- 3:43Speaker 1: in that position. Sow what you did it, Sow what
- 3:46Speaker 1: you had, the baby, the baby here. Now make your
- 3:53Speaker 1: life what it's gonna be cause the baby is here now.
- 3:58Speaker 1: But it was a mistake. You tied my life, it
- 4:00Speaker 1: slowed me down. Got all that, but the baby here now,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Let's move forward. You got a beautiful child. Let's move forward.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Whether you really intended for it or not, you have it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The baby's beautiful. It's a blessing. Let's go. Stop allowing
- 4:19Speaker 1: people in your life to keep bringing up your past
- 4:21Speaker 1: and holding you to your past. Your past belongs to history,
- 4:26Speaker 1: The future belongs to God. All you got is right now,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and your job is to make the best of right now.
- 4:32Speaker 1: That's what the whole Lord's prayers about. Give us this
- 4:36Speaker 1: day our daily bread. You just gotta get through today.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And it's hard to get through today if you keep
- 4:42Speaker 1: living in the past. Man, get up. God has forgiven you.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Why don't you forgive yourself. Don't go through twenty twenty
- 4:51Speaker 1: five dwelling on what we're wrong in twenty twenty four.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It's a new year. Yeah, people talking about all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Happy new year. Okay, gone be happy. Man. I messed
- 5:01Speaker 1: up in twenty twenty four, got it? Yeah you did.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I made some mistakes in twenty twenty four, myself, got it?
- 5:08Speaker 1: But what to God to do? With today because God
- 5:12Speaker 1: has given you clearly another opportunity to get up, to
- 5:17Speaker 1: get it right, and to move forward. That's what waking
- 5:21Speaker 1: up is all about, is waking up. It's about getting
- 5:24Speaker 1: it right, getting it together, and moving forward. That's what
- 5:29Speaker 1: today is for. But if you're gonna stay in yesterday,
- 5:35Speaker 1: you're gonna hinder your progress. Don't let your past mistakes
- 5:40Speaker 1: define your future because it belongs to history. Now listen
- 5:44Speaker 1: to me. Of course, there are some things we've done
- 5:48Speaker 1: in our past that we may still be having the
- 5:50Speaker 1: consequences of today. But those consequences don't all have to
- 5:55Speaker 1: be dire. There's a bright side to everything. I've said
- 5:59Speaker 1: this a million times on this show. Behind every moment
- 6:01Speaker 1: of adversity, there's a lesson and a blessing. Y'all made
- 6:04Speaker 1: some mistakes in my past, and it took me years
- 6:06Speaker 1: to recover from some of it. But I learned the
- 6:09Speaker 1: lesson and I got the blessing out of it. Man,
- 6:14Speaker 1: everything bad happened to you ain't really that bad. Oh
- 6:18Speaker 1: I got a divorce? You better start clapping, because guess
- 6:22Speaker 1: what you could still be with them? Hello? How was that?
- 6:27Speaker 1: I hate? I got a divorce? Well, how'd you like
- 6:30Speaker 1: living in that house of abuse? How'd you like living
- 6:32Speaker 1: in that house with all that cheating going on? How'd
- 6:34Speaker 1: you like living in that house with somebody that wasn't
- 6:36Speaker 1: helping you fulfill your dreams? Man, you gotta side. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: got you hurt about the divorce, but man, it's a
- 6:42Speaker 1: blessing too. Get up, y'all. Get up, Stop beating yourself up.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Talk to God, form a relationship with God. Ask God
- 6:50Speaker 1: for forgiveness for whatever you've done. He gives it, He
- 6:53Speaker 1: wipes his slate clean. Get up. Move on. Twenty twenty
- 6:57Speaker 1: five could be a better year for you if you
- 6:59Speaker 1: keep dragging an old one along with you. Just quit
- 7:02Speaker 1: dragging it with you. Twenty twenty fourth, ain't here, No folk,
- 7:07Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Talk to God. He would absolutely love
- 7:11Speaker 1: to hear from you.
