Steve: Hey, steve, here and today I thought I would talk to you a little bit about the Guitar Zoom Academy and what it is and who it's for.
• 0:41
Steve: So, basically, if you're a guitar player who's been playing, you know for however long, and you feel like you're stuck, you feel like you're not really making the progress that you'd like to be making, maybe you feel lost, you're confused on what it is that you should be actually working on, and you know you've got questions about things and you don't know you really have no one to reach out to to actually get the answers.
• 1:03
Steve: Well, that's what the Guitar Zoom Academy really is for.
• 1:06
Steve: You know, we at Guitar Zoom have been selling guitar courses for many years and we've heard from people over the years that, although they like the courses, the problem is is that when they can encounter a situation you know, maybe watching one of the courses where they have, you know, confusion or questions about things, of course they don't really have anybody to reach out to.
• 1:24
Steve: That we have within the academy itself, be it classes that you can attend, live classes with real instructors where you could learn things regarding fundamentals, chords, rhythm, soloing, blues, technique, all sorts of different things, but at the heart of it is the fact that, while you're doing all of these things, you can always reach out and talk to somebody in person.
• 2:02
Steve: We have a number of what we call open rooms, which are live hours that instructors are available to talk to you about anything and everything that you've got questions about.
• 2:14
Steve: So you might have a particular question about this technique or how you're approaching this, or how to visualize this or how to use this or what this actually is, and you might not even know what your question is.
• 2:25
Steve: You might just be saying, hey, I'm going through this thing but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or I feel like I'm not really making progress with this.
• 2:32
Steve: Well, you can jump in and you can actually have a conversation with somebody and figure that out and then get back to your work.
• 2:39
Steve: Somebody and figure that out and then get back to your work.
• 2:43
Steve: So you don't have to wait until next week's guitar lesson, so to speak, to get the answers that you need.
• 2:46
Steve: You can get them that day.
• 2:47
Steve: You can just simply meet with somebody, get your questions answered or get you know back on track and go back and do your work.
• 2:54
Steve: What I also love about it is the fact that, because we have a number of different instructors.
• 2:58
Steve: You always have the option of different perspectives on things.
• 3:02
Steve: It's not just one person that you see, you know week after week or something like that, but you can talk to different people about different things.
• 3:09
Steve: Maybe you talk to this instructor because you feel like you make a better connection with that person.
• 3:14
Steve: Or maybe you talk to this instructor because you've recognized that that person is a little more blues influenced and that's what you're looking for.
• 3:21
Steve: Or maybe you just talk to somebody because it's a Thursday, right, and that's when you have time.
• 3:26
Steve: And the final part of this is that there's a private community for only the people that are involved in the academy, because it's always nice to stay motivated.
• 3:36
  Steve: That's half.
• 3:37
Steve: The battle, too, is not just understanding what the work is, what you need to do to achieve your goals, which we assess all of that and set up a plan for you.
• 3:44
Steve: But it's also nice to stay motivated and talk to like-minded people that are learning as well.
• 3:49
Steve: Stay motivated and talk to like-minded people that are learning as well.
• 3:52
Steve: And so, within the community, people ask questions and get answers from instructors, but they also get answers from other students that are in there as well.
• 3:57
Steve: They post their progress, you know, any new gear that they've got, whatever those things are.
• 4:03
Steve: We just have conversations, real conversations.
• 4:06
Steve: You know you can always reach out to us.
• 4:08
Steve: There's a chat, a personal chat, a private chat in here that you can reach out to me.
• 4:14
Steve: You can reach out one of the instructors and say hey, this is what I'm working with, this is what I'm having an issue with.
• 4:18
  Steve: Can you help me?
• 4:19
Steve: Well, of course we can.
• 4:20
Steve: That's exactly what this is, when I can.
• 4:35
Steve: It's immediate responses and personal, one-on-one connection that you can reach out to anytime you need and have an actual conversation with an actual instructor.
• 4:39
Steve: And we do this in the mornings.
• 4:41
Steve: We do this in the evenings.
• 4:42
Steve: We always have people available.
• 4:43
Steve: But even in between those spots, you can always message someone like me and I'll respond to you right away and get you back, get you organized and get you going again.
• 4:51
Steve: So it's a really, really great thing.
• 4:54
Steve: I call it a guitar learning ecosystem is really what it is, and people are just loving it because they can put their head down and they can practice when they need to.
• 5:03
Steve: But when they have a question or they need to have a discussion, they can just pop in any day of the week and have this conversation with people and then get back to work again.
• 5:12
Steve: And if you feel like you're kind of falling off and you're not exactly sure what to practice, well, we can get together and do a reassessment of what have you been doing right.
• 5:19
Steve: We have practice logs that we keep track of your practice and see, well, what have you been working on, what haven't you been working on, what are you struggling with we can get you right back on track and get you going again.
• 5:29
Steve: So if that sounds like something that would be interesting to you, something that you would need you know, maybe you're overwhelmed with too much information or you don't have any goals.
• 5:37
Steve: You don't know what you're working toward or you don't know what the problem is this is a perfect opportunity for you to check out the Guitar Zoom Academy.
