- 0:00Speaker 1: The Chemist Warehouse half price cosmetic sale is on now.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Stock up and save on.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Your favorite beauty brands.
- 0:07Speaker 4: Half price now at Chemist Warehouse.
- 0:10Speaker 5: So women are being warned not to go home and
- 0:14Speaker 5: spend the night with a man now. And obviously not
- 0:16Speaker 5: for the usual safety reasons. I mean, they're obviously incredibly
- 0:21Speaker 5: important as well. Um, But there's this Instagram influencer.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, she'd know.
- 0:27Speaker 4: She would know. I'm surprised she hasn't added expert.
- 0:30Speaker 6: On the end.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 4: She says you shouldn't.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Sleep over unless you already know the man because men
- 0:38Speaker 5: are actually really shit hosts.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Have a listen to this.
- 0:42Speaker 7: When he's drunk, he makes decisions that he doesn't really
- 0:45Speaker 7: care about. So being like, yeah, stay.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Over, that's fine, that's whatever.
- 0:48Speaker 7: They don't have the mental capacity to think about you
- 0:51Speaker 7: sleeping over. You never want to sleep somewhere and have
- 0:54Speaker 7: the other person wake up and be like, how am
- 0:56Speaker 7: I going to get this person out my house? I
- 0:58Speaker 7: need an excuse. I need this.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I need that.
- 1:00Speaker 7: If they say, I promise we'll go for breakfast in
- 1:01Speaker 7: the morning. I promise I'll drop you home in the morning.
- 1:03Speaker 3: They're just trying to get you in their bed.
- 1:05Speaker 4: They're just trying to get your pants off. They're not
- 1:06Speaker 4: going to take you for breakfast.
- 1:07Speaker 2: They're going to be too hungover.
- 1:08Speaker 7: They're going to call you an Uber instead because they're
- 1:10Speaker 7: not going to drive you home because they're going to say,
- 1:12Speaker 7: I can't drive.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I'm still drunk. Don't sleep over.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Only if we don't like you.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think that's necessarily the case in all situations. Yeah,
- 1:21Speaker 5: I understand what she's saying if, like, the dude's pulled
- 1:24Speaker 5: or even vice versa. Women, sometimes they've had a few
- 1:28Speaker 5: drinks and they've pulled a dude and then they've gone, yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 5: come back to my house for some fun.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And then the next morning you go, oh, shit, how
- 1:35Speaker 4: do I get rid of this guy?
- 1:36Speaker 1: It's always hard. I was seeing someone for a while.
- 1:39Speaker 4: It was like a … Situationship?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was never going to make my girlfriend. But,
- 1:43Speaker 1: you know, we'd get drunk, she'd come over. And then
- 1:45Speaker 1: in the morning I was like, oh, how do I
- 1:47Speaker 1: get rid of her?
- 1:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So I used to do the … Oh, I've got
- 1:51Speaker 1: to go to my sister's house for a barbecue. I
- 1:53Speaker 1: never go to my sister's house, ever.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Wait, so you would wait for her to leave or
- 1:58Speaker 4: drop her home?
- 1:59Speaker 1: No. From memory, she'd have her car there as well.
- 2:01Speaker 1: So I'd like leave, like walk her to a car.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'd get in my car. And then I'd just do laps.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So you'd actually drive off.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Well, yeah, because I'm saying. You had to lean so
- 2:11Speaker 5: deep into the lie.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Because otherwise, how would you actually get rid of her, right?
- 2:16Speaker 1: So I'd walk her to a car. Then I'd get
- 2:18Speaker 1: in my car. And I remember just doing laps around
- 2:21Speaker 1: my neighborhood to make sure she actually left. Then I'd
- 2:24Speaker 1: just go back in and lay on the couch and
- 2:26Speaker 1: watch Family Guy.
- 2:27Speaker 5: What would be worse, having someone unwanted in your house
- 2:30Speaker 5: or being unwanted in someone's house? Have you ever gone
- 2:33Speaker 5: to a chick's house and then have you ever felt
- 2:35Speaker 5: like she was, Ushering you out?
- 2:38Speaker 1: No, but like over.
- 2:40Speaker 2: No.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Not that I know. No, because usually the woman would
- 2:43Speaker 1: come back to your house.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I don't know why. Is that a thing? Did guys
- 2:47Speaker 1: used to come back to your house when you were
- 2:49Speaker 1: being a lowie?
- 2:50Speaker 4: No, so I never really had a lowie period.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Oh, that's disappointing.
- 2:54Speaker 4: A bit boring, wasn't I? Always just in relationships.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But would you go back? When you first started getting
- 3:00Speaker 1: it on with Ryan, your husband, did you go back
- 3:02Speaker 1: to his house?
- 3:03Speaker 4: No, he would come to mine.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Oh.
- 3:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 4: And that's how I knew I liked him. Because in the.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Morning, there had been occasions where I'd had some fun
- 3:12Speaker 5: with friends.
- 3:14Speaker 4: And then in the morning, I was like, oh, get
- 3:16Speaker 4: out of my house.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Whereas with Ryan, I was like, oh, let's, he was like,
- 3:20Speaker 5: let's go for breakfast.
- 3:21Speaker 4: And I wanted to hang out with him.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Have you heard of the Sunday test?
- 3:25Speaker 6: No.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's not a cricket thing. If you want to spend
- 3:28Speaker 1: a Sunday with that person, you're into them.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're like, oh, Sunday.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Because Sunday is when you like rot on the couch normally.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yeah, right? So Saturday night, sure, whatever.
- 3:39Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: If you can then hang with them on a Sunday,
- 3:42Speaker 1: you're into them. If your partner's not hanging with you
- 3:45Speaker 1: on a Sunday or your new boyfriend or girlfriend.
- 3:47Speaker 4: He's not serious.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Sunday, Ted. Kiss breakfast. And now Amy's got to
- 3:52Speaker 1: hit us. Celeb news. What are you looking at?
- 3:54Speaker 5: Yeah, so obviously we had a huge weekend of sports.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 4: AFL grand final, Fremantle lost to the Brisbane Lions.
- 4:06Speaker 10: Yep.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I just wanted to say the wrong 96-89, which was
- 4:09Speaker 5: a huge upset.
- 4:11Speaker 4: I actually felt really sorry.
- 4:13Speaker 5: But I wanted to chat about what people are calling
- 4:16Speaker 5: the best pre-show of all time, which I actually found
- 4:20Speaker 5: interesting because my husband was playing on his phone after
- 4:24Speaker 5: the AFL grand final had finished and he goes, oh,
- 4:27Speaker 5: Kylie Minogue's getting slammed.
- 4:28Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, really?
- 4:30Speaker 1: For what?
- 4:31Speaker 4: For just, I guess, not performing.
- 4:33Speaker 5: And then I got on my phone and all I
- 4:35Speaker 5: saw was just praise, praise, praise. And I said, isn't
- 4:39Speaker 5: it funny that your algorithm's just feeding you negative comments
- 4:43Speaker 5: and all I'm getting is the good stuff.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Do you think Kirstie's a bloke? Maybe he's just getting
- 4:47Speaker 1: all these footy heads.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Going, oh, we should have had Jimmy Barnes.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah, probably.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Shannon Knoll.
- 4:54Speaker 5: So obviously she kicked off the AFL grand final pre-show
- 4:56Speaker 5: entertainment to a sold out crowd at the MCG in Melbourne.
- 5:00Speaker 4: And she performed a medley.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Of her biggest hits from her five decade long career.
- 5:05Speaker 5: So she, she sung things like spinning around in your
- 5:10Speaker 5: eyes on a.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Night like this. She actually performed Padam Padam with G Flip.
- 5:15Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 4: She did Locomotion, a personal fave of mine.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh, you like Locomotion, do you?
- 5:19Speaker 4: I love Locomotion.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Can't get you out of my head.
- 5:22Speaker 5: And there was obviously loads of surprise appearances. William Barton,
- 5:26Speaker 5: who she's actually got a song with.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 5:28Speaker 4: And Aussie DJ Dom Dollar.
- 5:30Speaker 5: So have a listen to a snippet of the performance.
- 5:33Speaker 5: And the inspired unemployed also kicked off the Locomotion.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Apparently.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Jack, I think, had one job and it was like
- 5:41Speaker 5: two lines and he stuffed them up on the day
- 5:43Speaker 5: as well.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Okay, here we go. Here's Kylie at the AFL Grand Final.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Oh, boy!
- 6:23Speaker 1: And she was actually singing, yeah?
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:32Speaker 1: You can tell there.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's not lip syncing. Yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 1: What about Robbie? Why didn't he turn up? No.
- 6:38Speaker 4: He actually did not turn up. So he was in Peru.
- 6:41Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And his show actually got cancelled. So he could have
- 6:44Speaker 4: turned up.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Apparently they had some safety protocols. Oh, okay.
- 6:50Speaker 5: So his show wasn't able to go ahead, but he
- 6:52Speaker 5: did speak to fans outside a hotel and he did
- 6:54Speaker 5: an impromptu acapella performance for them.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Have a listen.
- 6:59Speaker 9: I am broken hearted that we cannot do the show tonight.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It is beyond our control.
- 7:09Speaker 6: It's nothing to do with us.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We'll be back as soon as we can be back.
- 7:16Speaker 2: God bless you. And if you wouldn't mind, I'd like.
- 7:20Speaker 9: To do a little show here.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:35Speaker 5: And country music star Reba McIntyre and Dolly Parton were
- 7:39Speaker 5: nearly friends for 50 years. They first met in September
- 7:44Speaker 5: 1977 until Dolly's death last month at 80 years old.
- 7:49Speaker 5: In a new sit-down interview with ET, Reba actually opened
- 7:52Speaker 5: up about missing a call from Dolly right before she
- 7:56Speaker 5: passed and she actually never got to speak to her again,
- 7:58Speaker 5: which sounds so sad.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Have a listen.
- 8:01Speaker 8: Well, it took us a long time to connect and
- 8:04Speaker 8: it was really special when we finally did connect and
- 8:07Speaker 8: get to talk and I didn't want to keep her.
- 8:11Speaker 8: I knew she was busy, because she always is. And
- 8:13Speaker 8: then she did call me the last of July, and
- 8:16Speaker 8: I was in a meeting, and I missed her call.
- 8:19Speaker 8: And I tried to get back in touch with her,
- 8:20Speaker 8: and I couldn't.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Never made connection.
- 8:23Speaker 8: And then when Lisa Davis, my buddy, called me the
- 8:26Speaker 8: morning of the 25th, and she said, Dolly's gone. I thought,
- 8:31Speaker 8: I'll never know why she called me. So that, I'll
- 8:36Speaker 8: find out one day.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh, that is sad.
- 8:39Speaker 3: You know what?
- 8:39Speaker 4: That would be me.
- 8:41Speaker 5: I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to answering my phone.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Because my phone is always on silent.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Yeah, mine's on D & D all the time.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I don't understand people who do that.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I don't want to be disturbed. It's called do not disturb. Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I keep it on D & D. I reckon 90%
- 8:55Speaker 1: of the time.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I find that so rude.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It's on D & D right now.
- 8:59Speaker 4: So if anyone wants to get in touch with you.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Well, I just check notifications.
- 9:03Speaker 4: How does your girlfriend get in touch with you? Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 4: but if you've got on D & D and I
- 9:06Speaker 4: try and call you, it just goes instantly to voicemail.
- 9:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But I'll check, and if she sent me a text,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I get missed calls. I call people back. I'm just
- 9:14Speaker 1: screening people all the time.
- 9:15Speaker 4: You used to see a Drake or something. Oh, I've
- 9:17Speaker 4: got to put it on D & D all the time.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Well, I mean, that's just how I roll, mate. But, yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 1: if I had a missed call from my mum, it
- 9:26Speaker 1: makes you think, because I screen a lot of their calls.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, here we go again. But, you know,
- 9:30Speaker 1: they're not going to be around forever.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Yeah, your mum might have tried to call you and
- 9:34Speaker 5: you've got your bloody D & D on and that
- 9:37Speaker 5: could be the last.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'll call her back.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I'll piss off.
- 9:39Speaker 2: That'll be the last.
- 9:39Speaker 10: Too late.
- 9:41Speaker 3: No, she's passed.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Cool, Amy's telling me my mum has died live on air.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah, while.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You're on D & D.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Alex Warren, hello. Welcome to Australia. Well, welcome back to Australia.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Thanks for having me. And you love it here. Have
- 9:57Speaker 2: we got a special place in your heart? 17 weeks.
- 10:00Speaker 2: number one for Ordinary.
- 10:01Speaker 6: I think regardless of the charts, Australia's always just been
- 10:04Speaker 6: the place. Growing up in a surf city, this was
- 10:07Speaker 6: always somewhere I wanted to go. I say this in
- 10:10Speaker 6: almost every interview. I used to put on an Australian
- 10:13Speaker 6: accent everywhere I went growing up.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Can I hear it?
- 10:16Speaker 6: I used to tell everyone I was from Perth, and
- 10:17Speaker 6: it was like a whole thing, and no, and all
- 10:19Speaker 6: this stuff.
- 10:20Speaker 2: It's actually really good.
- 10:22Speaker 6: It's not bad, but it teeters on English sometimes.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, if it keeps going for a while.
- 10:28Speaker 6: Yeah, if it keeps going.
- 10:28Speaker 2: How did you perfect that? Do you know many Australians?
- 10:30Speaker 6: I would literally, yeah, I grew up with a lot
- 10:33Speaker 6: of Australians and surfing, so that was the biggest thing
- 10:35Speaker 6: for us. I don't know why so many were in
- 10:37Speaker 6: San Diego, but I have a lot of history with Australians.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And have you surfed here or not?
- 10:42Speaker 6: No, I will be this week, which I'm very stoked for. Before,
- 10:44Speaker 6: I was only here for such a limited time, and
- 10:46Speaker 6: it was a flight every single day. We played one show,
- 10:48Speaker 6: a flight, one show, a flight. And now I'm here
- 10:50Speaker 6: for six days straight. So I'm really excited to actually start.
- 10:54Speaker 6: I'm doing a bunch of wave pool sessions.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Right, okay.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And is there anything apart from that that you're really
- 10:59Speaker 1: looking forward to doing in Australia then?
- 11:01Speaker 6: There's some spots. I'm really good friends with Rob Irwin.
- 11:04Speaker 6: And so Rob and I are going to do some
- 11:05Speaker 6: stuff together, which I'm really excited to see him. He's
- 11:07Speaker 6: just the sweetest man in the world.
- 11:08Speaker 2: You're not afraid of the animals?
- 11:10Speaker 1: No.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Does he bring a python around with him or anything
- 11:12Speaker 2: like that?
- 11:12Speaker 6: It's so nice to watch. And I'm just going to
- 11:15Speaker 6: give my friend some glory here. Rob is such a,
- 11:17Speaker 6: very much like his dad, or at least what I've
- 11:20Speaker 6: been able to see on the internet and growing up
- 11:22Speaker 6: with that series, but also on top of it, just
- 11:24Speaker 6: he's so caring of these animals that like, I remember
- 11:27Speaker 6: we did something together with an alligator, and he's.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh, look right here.
- 11:30Speaker 6: And he's showing me everything about the alligator, and I
- 11:33Speaker 6: was like, dude, I selfishly love to watch him do
- 11:37Speaker 6: what he does so well.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's good to know that you'll be hanging around him.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So Ordinary, though, 17 weeks, number one.
- 11:42Speaker 6: Yes.
- 11:43Speaker 2: You've got an album, Wild Child. Yeah. That is because
- 11:47Speaker 2: your dad used to call you a wild child.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Is that right? Yeah, my dad used to call me
- 11:50Speaker 6: a wild child. Whenever he would look for me, I
- 11:53Speaker 6: was either on a rooftop jumping off of it or
- 11:56Speaker 6: trying to do flips off a lifeguard tower. I was
- 11:58Speaker 6: always on something and doing flips off of it. I
- 12:00Speaker 6: was like Benson Boone before he was conceived.
- 12:02Speaker 2: You were a naughty boy then.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 6: And so I was always causing a ruckus for sure.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And then I hear that there is like a voicemail
- 12:10Speaker 1: from your dad that is on the album.
- 12:12Speaker 6: My dad's a huge part of the album, actually. So
- 12:14Speaker 6: he's actually credited a good amount on this thing. So
- 12:17Speaker 6: my dad's favorite musician was John Mayer.
- 12:18Speaker 7: Okay.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Literally, like this was his dream. He loved John so much.
- 12:23Speaker 6: And I put John and my dad on the same
- 12:26Speaker 6: song together.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Wow.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Because I thought that that was so special.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Was that hard to do? You obviously have kept voicemails
- 12:33Speaker 1: from your dad then.
- 12:34Speaker 6: I think it was really healing. To be able to
- 12:38Speaker 6: take something that you can't control, like cancer and loss,
- 12:40Speaker 6: and be able to put your own beautiful spin on
- 12:43Speaker 6: it is what I think will live forever. This song
- 12:45Speaker 6: will be forever. People will be able to listen to
- 12:47Speaker 6: this when I die. I think that that's something so
- 12:50Speaker 6: powerful that this will be a part of my kids'
- 12:52Speaker 6: lives and things like that. I can't really ask for more.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And then a lot of people might not know, you know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you were homeless for a while there. Is it true
- 13:00Speaker 1: you were eating, like, leftovers from the restaurant that you
- 13:03Speaker 1: were working at?
- 13:04Speaker 6: Yeah, and my wife got so mad at me when
- 13:06Speaker 6: she found out, which rightfully so.
- 13:07Speaker 2: But you've got to wait, right?
- 13:09Speaker 6: Well, we, and I love that I'm friends with the
- 13:12Speaker 6: owner of the restaurant, and I hope he doesn't see this,
- 13:14Speaker 6: but when people wouldn't finish their food, I would cut
- 13:17Speaker 6: off the ends and take it to go and bring
- 13:20Speaker 6: it back to my wife so we could eat because
- 13:21Speaker 6: I couldn't afford money.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Sorry, I couldn't afford food.
- 13:24Speaker 6: She didn't know that until I told her.
- 13:25Speaker 2: She was like, how are you?
- 13:26Speaker 6: These burritos are like $ 17. How are you buying this
- 13:30Speaker 6: if we can't even afford a place to stay? And
- 13:32Speaker 6: I told her and she was like, so you are
- 13:34Speaker 6: not doing that anymore. So I would do it and
- 13:36Speaker 6: then I would buy her a burrito and bring it
- 13:37Speaker 6: to her.
- 13:38Speaker 8: Right. Okay.
- 13:38Speaker 2: But it was always cut off. So you weren't eating anyone's,
- 13:40Speaker 2: you know.
- 13:41Speaker 6: I feel like it's fine. Yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Well, otherwise it was going to go in the bin,
- 13:44Speaker 2: wasn't it?
- 13:44Speaker 7: Right.
- 13:45Speaker 6: I couldn't waste food while I couldn't afford it.
- 13:47Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And talking of your wife, she's here in Australia with you.
- 13:50Speaker 6: Yeah, she comes everywhere with me.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Because you guys have been together a long time now.
- 13:53Speaker 2: You're childhood sweethearts, would you say?
- 13:56Speaker 6: Yeah, when we were 18 we met.
- 13:58Speaker 2: On Snapchat, right?
- 13:59Speaker 8: Yes.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Would you advise anyone who's single to pick up on Snapchat?
- 14:03Speaker 2: I mean, it works for you.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I think that I got really lucky. I got really
- 14:07Speaker 6: lucky at the time.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Do you remember how you did it? Like what happened?
- 14:10Speaker 6: My friend moved to Hawaii and they were staying together
- 14:14Speaker 6: and I had texted this friend and been like, wow,
- 14:16Speaker 6: this girl is the most beautiful person I've ever seen
- 14:18Speaker 6: in my life. And it was a photo of my
- 14:20Speaker 6: wife sleeping. And the fact that I like, she was like,
- 14:23Speaker 6: that's funny because my wife thinks that's the most horrible
- 14:25Speaker 6: picture of her ever.
- 14:26Speaker 2: A lot of women don't like the photo.
- 14:28Speaker 6: But I thought it was the most beautiful picture ever
- 14:30Speaker 6: I've ever seen. So we started talking because I slid
- 14:33Speaker 6: up on it. It's like sliding into someone's dams.
- 14:34Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and then it went from there.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Yeah, and now she's my wife, and we've been together
- 14:38Speaker 6: for eight years.
- 14:38Speaker 2: And Ordinary is all about.
- 14:40Speaker 10: Her, yeah?
- 14:41Speaker 6: All of my songs that are love songs are about her.
- 14:42Speaker 6: I have plenty of them.
- 14:43Speaker 8: All of them?
- 14:44Speaker 2: Okay, yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Everything I've ever written is either about my dead parents
- 14:47Speaker 6: or my wife.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 14:49Speaker 6: I'm a two-trick pony, man.
- 14:51Speaker 1: There we go. Alex Warren here on Kiss. 21 past
- 14:55Speaker 1: seven the time now, and we're going to do the
- 14:57Speaker 1: birthday wheel. If it is your birthday today, 28th of September,
- 15:01Speaker 1: how many days in September, Amy?
- 15:03Speaker 4: 30 days has September.
- 15:04Speaker 2: There we go.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Kiss breakfast. All right, Amy, what are you following in
- 15:08Speaker 1: celeb news?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, so a Hollywood actor has revealed the brutal roasting
- 15:12Speaker 5: he got from his own son.
- 15:14Speaker 4: You just love kids. They love to just fire shots
- 15:18Speaker 4: at you.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 5: So Ben Affleck has had many a famous relationship. He
- 15:22Speaker 5: dated Gwyneth Paltrow from 97 to the 2000.
- 15:26Speaker 4: He dated Jennifer Lopez twice.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 4: They called off their engagement in 2004 and reunited in 2001.
- 15:31Speaker 9: And.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Married in 2022 and divorced in 2025. Now, his longest
- 15:38Speaker 4: relationship was with actress Jennifer Garner. They met on the
- 15:43Speaker 4: set of Pearl Harbor.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Terrible movie, by the way.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't hate it. Pearl Harbor.
- 15:48Speaker 8: Oh, really?
- 15:49Speaker 1: I re-watched it a while ago. I think they spent
- 15:52Speaker 1: a lot on it and it just wasn't as good
- 15:54Speaker 1: as what people thought it was going to be.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I feel like when it came out in its time,
- 15:58Speaker 4: it was good.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Maybe watching it now.
- 16:00Speaker 1: With all the special effects.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Doesn't hold up.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 5: So obviously Ben and Jen, they were together the longest.
- 16:06Speaker 5: They've got three kids together. Now their three kids are
- 16:09Speaker 5: all teenagers and apparently love to pay Ben out.
- 16:13Speaker 4: I mean, I remember doing this to my parents.
- 16:15Speaker 5: So he was having an interview with Jimmy Kimmel and
- 16:18Speaker 5: Ben told a story to the audience about a recent
- 16:20Speaker 5: family dinner he had where he attempted to give his
- 16:24Speaker 5: son's relationship advice and it backfired.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Have a listen.
- 16:29Speaker 11: I never thought I wouldn't, I couldn't imagine like I
- 16:32Speaker 11: wouldn't be the cool dad, you know what I mean?
- 16:34Speaker 11: And I thought, and yet it turns out magically that
- 16:39Speaker 11: I give you an example. Like I, um, my kids
- 16:41Speaker 11: were talking at dinner and they, you know, they'll talk
- 16:43Speaker 11: about like their you know, their friends and the drama
- 16:45Speaker 11: and the relationships.
- 16:46Speaker 6: And I have some lived experience. I think that's worth sharing.
- 16:50Speaker 11: Some lessons that I, you know, these are the kind
- 16:53Speaker 11: of things we give to our children. And I said,
- 16:56Speaker 11: you know, well, the thing about that relationship there, what
- 16:58Speaker 11: that person's, and the 17-year-old just turns to me and goes, oh,
- 17:02Speaker 11: like you're the expert on relationships?
- 17:04Speaker 5: LAUGHTER I think the funny thing is even if you
- 17:09Speaker 5: actually are quite a cool parent, you're never cool to
- 17:12Speaker 5: your kids.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Like my mum and dad were just, in my head,
- 17:15Speaker 4: they were just so daggy.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Oh, mine too, yeah. And uncool, right?
- 17:18Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. And my parents, sorry, my kids would think
- 17:21Speaker 4: the same about me and mine.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But you are cool.
- 17:23Speaker 6: I like to.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Think that I am.
- 17:25Speaker 1: But maybe you're not to them.
- 17:26Speaker 9: Right.
- 17:27Speaker 4: I don't think you ever are to them. No one's
- 17:28Speaker 4: parents are cool.
- 17:29Speaker 10: No.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I don't even think you really want your parents to
- 17:31Speaker 1: be cool. Like I remember this dude in high school
- 17:34Speaker 1: and his mum was like, Good looking.
- 17:37Speaker 8: No.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 17:39Speaker 10: No.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Cool? I remember he... Okay, I'm just going to tell
- 17:42Speaker 1: the story. I remember he was allowed to do whatever
- 17:45Speaker 1: he wanted.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Okay.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Whatever he wants. Yeah, stay out, do this, whatever. And
- 17:48Speaker 1: I thought, oh, that's so cool. Like, I'd love that.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And then I went around his house one day and
- 17:52Speaker 1: his mum was pulling a bong in the living room.
- 17:54Speaker 8: Pfft.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And even then, I was probably like, oh, this is cool.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I can't think of anything worse. That's a bad parent.
- 18:04Speaker 1: She wasn't cool. She was a bad parent. Just relaxed. Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Just very relaxed.
- 18:10Speaker 4: She would have been super relaxed.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Would you prefer nerdy, uptight parents than that?
- 18:15Speaker 8: I know.
- 18:15Speaker 5: When you're a kid, you want the parents who are
- 18:17Speaker 5: so permissive and let you do anything.
- 18:19Speaker 4: And then when you become a parent, you're like, oh, actually,
- 18:23Speaker 4: I think what my dad was doing was a good thing.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Okay, so Friday afternoon, Taylor Swift dropped four new songs.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Deluxe edition of her album, The Life of a Showgirl.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Did we play them first on Kiss, Petho? I kept
- 18:37Speaker 1: on saying we'll get them first. Was it first? Did
- 18:39Speaker 1: we win? Yeah, we won by about two minutes. See,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I told you this whole thing. I remember the last, yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 1: it was Taylor.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 18:46Speaker 1: When the album came out?
- 18:48Speaker 10: Yes.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yes, I was working for the opposition and it was
- 18:51Speaker 1: 2 p.m. and it was this giant race to beat
- 18:54Speaker 1: everyone else. We've gone back to back to back to back.
- 18:58Speaker 2: We don't lose.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Kiss is the winner.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Undefeated.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So you won by two minutes. Two minutes. Well done. Congratulations.
- 19:04Speaker 5: So I was actually driving down the coast on Friday,
- 19:06Speaker 5: and I heard Patient Zero.
- 19:07Speaker 2: At 2 p.m.
- 19:08Speaker 1: On Kiss.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Actually, yes.
- 19:11Speaker 5: I may have played it on Spotify because it was
- 19:14Speaker 5: after 2 p.m., and I.
- 19:15Speaker 6: Didn't want to wait.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Then you heard it second.
- 19:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 19:17Speaker 5: But I actually really liked the Patient Zero song. It
- 19:20Speaker 5: kind of grew on me. I didn't hate it straight
- 19:22Speaker 5: off the bat, so.
- 19:24Speaker 4: I thought it was a good song.
- 19:26Speaker 5: However, I haven't had a listen to all the others,
- 19:29Speaker 5: but apparently some of the Swifties have even voiced their distaste.
- 19:35Speaker 4: For some of these songs.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Oh, they're turning on us?
- 19:38Speaker 5: This is concerning because Swifties just live and breathe Taylor.
- 19:42Speaker 5: She can do no wrong. And if the Swifties are turning,
- 19:45Speaker 5: I don't know if it's a good thing, right? So
- 19:49Speaker 5: there's a song in particular.
- 19:51Speaker 4: It's called Cleveland.
- 19:52Speaker 5: It's actually all about her new husband, Travis Kelsey.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Fans are calling it cheesy and repetitive.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Let's listen to it together. I haven't heard it. He
- 20:03Speaker 4: likes what he likes what he likes and he likes me.
- 20:09Speaker 5: You only need to find one person in this entire
- 20:13Speaker 5: world who doesn't find you completely insufferable.
- 20:18Speaker 4: And I have an important announcement to make.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Is it just better when Taylor's going through heartbreak than happy?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 20:33Speaker 4: That is so cringe.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Like it's sickening because she's happy and people, I mean,
- 20:37Speaker 1: it'll break up at some point. Don't worry.
- 20:38Speaker 2: No, they won't.
- 20:39Speaker 5: They will not break up. No, but yeah, you're right.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Her best music is always spoken about when she writes
- 20:47Speaker 5: songs about heartbreak and stuff.
- 20:48Speaker 4: That's all her favorite songs. what all the fans love.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, whereas that's cheesy enough.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Hang on.
- 20:53Speaker 5: You can still write good music, but that Cleveland song,
- 20:56Speaker 5: that's no good.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Too cheesy?
- 20:59Speaker 4: That was cringe. I felt like I had secondhand embarrassment.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I found love.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Kiss breakfast. Well, AI taking over everything.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Except the radio. I'm still a person talking to you
- 21:13Speaker 1: right now.
- 21:14Speaker 4: For now.
- 21:15Speaker 1: For now. We're not AI at the moment. Macca's is
- 21:18Speaker 1: the latest. Have you heard about this?
- 21:21Speaker 2: No.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Are they making our burgers? No.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Maybe one day, though. Macca's has replaced humans in a
- 21:28Speaker 1: Macca's drive-thru for the first time in Australia. We are
- 21:32Speaker 1: the second country to take part in the trial, America.
- 21:37Speaker 1: and now here actually in Schofields in Sydney. So it's
- 21:42Speaker 1: like a dedicated order assistant. Do you want to hear it?
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 1: So you'd go in, usually in the drive-through, talk to
- 21:48Speaker 1: a human, but now we've got. Hi, how are you?
- 21:51Speaker 6: Hi there.
- 21:52Speaker 11: I'm doing well, thank you.
- 21:54Speaker 2: What can I get started for you today? Hello, I'm
- 21:56Speaker 2: an AI assistant helping the crew.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Can I get two Zinger boxes and seven glasses of water, please?
- 22:03Speaker 4: Sounds like KFC.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Did you say seven waters? Yeah, and two Zinger boxes.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Which size would you like for the seven rotas? We
- 22:13Speaker 2: have small, medium or large.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Extra large, please.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'm sorry, we only have small, medium or large for
- 22:19Speaker 2: the rotas.
- 22:21Speaker 11: Which of those would you prefer?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Extra large.
- 22:25Speaker 2: One moment. I've got a crew member to help you.
- 22:27Speaker 1: All right, okay.
- 22:28Speaker 5: So he's trying to throw her off.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a news.com.au person there doing that. Yeah, but
- 22:33Speaker 1: if you ordered, I imagine if you ordered properly.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Like a large nugget meal.
- 22:37Speaker 1: You'd probably get it. How do you feel about it?
- 22:39Speaker 5: But also, let's be honest, if there was a normal
- 22:41Speaker 5: person on the other receiving end of that and some
- 22:44Speaker 5: guy's going, I want an extra large.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Well, guess what?
- 22:46Speaker 4: She can't help you either.
- 22:47Speaker 1: No, but she'd say something like, we don't have extra large.
- 22:50Speaker 4: But that's what she did say. She said, we've got small,
- 22:52Speaker 4: medium or large.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I suppose, just in a more robotic kind of way.
- 22:55Speaker 1: It's done by Google's Gemini. Well, I don't care if
- 23:00Speaker 1: it works. There's nothing worse than, have you ever tried
- 23:02Speaker 1: these chatbots like my banking app? I couldn't get an answer.
- 23:06Speaker 1: It was pissing me off. And it just kept on
- 23:08Speaker 1: redirecting me back to the AI assistant. That was frustrating.
- 23:13Speaker 1: If it works, I've got no problem with doing it.
- 23:16Speaker 4: It does mean that people will be out of a job.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Maccas are saying no human jobs will be
- 23:24Speaker 1: lost as a result.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Well, then why are they using it?
- 23:27Speaker 1: It will free up staff to prepare orders and hopefully
- 23:30Speaker 1: get your nuggets faster.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you are right. Eventually.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 1: None of us are going to have jobs.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Well, that's why they're saying like tradies are going to
- 23:40Speaker 4: be fine.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but even eventually.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Because AI can't build your house.
- 23:43Speaker 1: No, but well.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Hairdressers.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I went to a mate's work site and they
- 23:48Speaker 1: were using a 3D printer to build a home.
- 23:51Speaker 10: What? Yep.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And he was like, this is the future. So yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: tradies will be safer for longer, but eventually some giant
- 23:58Speaker 1: machine will just print your house. A robot could cut
- 24:00Speaker 1: your hair at some point. Kiss Breakfast. Brand new iHeart podcast, Overshare.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You can watch it with Phoebe Burgess and Hannah Ferry.
- 24:10Speaker 1: They are joining us live in our studio right now.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Good morning, ladies.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 24:15Speaker 5: I'm so excited about this podcast because I'm a big
- 24:17Speaker 5: Oversharer myself.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 24:19Speaker 4: But can you tell us a little bit more about it?
- 24:21Speaker 3: What aren't we talking about? I think we're going to
- 24:23Speaker 3: go everywhere. But it's basically for women.
- 24:27Speaker 12: Yes.
- 24:27Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Not for me?
- 24:29Speaker 3: No, no, you can listen to it with your wife.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I think men might enjoy it.
- 24:34Speaker 12: No, but we're going to be sharing too many secrets.
- 24:37Speaker 12: We don't want them learning everything.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I mean, this is funny, right? Women, when they get together,
- 24:42Speaker 1: if a man did overhear your conversation, you guys can
- 24:45Speaker 1: be worse than men with.
- 24:46Speaker 3: What you talk about.
- 24:47Speaker 10: Can I tell you, if you are sitting there overhearing conversation,
- 24:50Speaker 10: get your little notepad out.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Start writing some notes.
- 24:52Speaker 1: You've been through a pretty messy divorce, Phoebe. Where are
- 24:56Speaker 1: you with that? And are you going to open up
- 24:57Speaker 1: about all of that on the podcast?
- 25:00Speaker 3: Hindsight's a wonderful thing. And if we are guided in
- 25:03Speaker 3: that direction, sure, why not?
- 25:04Speaker 10: We were going through a few old headlines and I
- 25:08Speaker 10: don't think there's much that people don't know. Yeah, I
- 25:10Speaker 10: think we'll dip into our hindsight now.
- 25:12Speaker 3: On all sorts of things.
- 25:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I'm going to pull it out of her.
- 25:15Speaker 2: You are?
- 25:15Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, not like the cheating stuff.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Well, why not?
- 25:19Speaker 12: More like we want to get her dating again.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Have you thought about it?
- 25:23Speaker 3: It's been seven years, guys. Seven years.
- 25:25Speaker 4: No dates?
- 25:26Speaker 3: No dates.
- 25:27Speaker 4: I have an incredible track record of.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Playing matchmaker with some girlfriends of mine, I can sort
- 25:34Speaker 5: something out for you.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Do you know what?
- 25:36Speaker 10: I was just saying to Hannah, though, my life doesn't
- 25:38Speaker 10: really work for the apps and it's all on the apps.
- 25:41Speaker 10: I need to be charming first and then say, oh,
- 25:44Speaker 10: I've got two kids.
- 25:46Speaker 3: And, oh, I live with my parents.
- 25:48Speaker 4: And, Hannah, what about you? Obviously you were on Below Deck.
- 25:51Speaker 12: Yes.
- 25:51Speaker 5: And you are now married and you've got a beautiful daughter.
- 25:53Speaker 5: How has life changed for you?
- 25:55Speaker 4: Oh, my God. It's done a full 180.
- 25:58Speaker 12: But I actually, it's so funny because I'm travelling a
- 26:00Speaker 12: lot at the moment back and forth to the States.
- 26:03Speaker 12: And it seems very glamorous, but I would be so
- 26:05Speaker 12: happy to like never leave my zip code now.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 12: It's like that was my life for, you know, 15,
- 26:11Speaker 12: 20 years was just moving all the time.
- 26:13Speaker 4: And now I just find it like quite exhausting.
- 26:16Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 12: And I get home and I'm like, I just want
- 26:18Speaker 12: to get Into my house, settled, hang out with my kid,
- 26:21Speaker 12: watch Bluey.
- 26:22Speaker 1: How good is going to bed early?
- 26:24Speaker 12: No, we've actually like had to try and push ourselves
- 26:28Speaker 12: to like stay, like at 10 past eight, we're like, no,
- 26:30Speaker 12: we can't. Come on, we can make it to quarter
- 26:33Speaker 12: to nine.
- 26:33Speaker 4: We can do it.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Have you ever tried New Year's Eve, by the way,
- 26:36Speaker 1: after a while? Like I remember going out and it's like, okay,
- 26:39Speaker 1: so we've had dinner.
- 26:40Speaker 4: What do we do for the next four hours?
- 26:42Speaker 1: How do we stay up till midnight?
- 26:43Speaker 3: I'm the mum now who's going, all right, now when's
- 26:45Speaker 3: the first fireworks? That's 9pm. That's good enough for us.
- 26:48Speaker 4: That's the midnight fireworks for me too.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Hey, another thing we were talking about on the show
- 26:52Speaker 1: recently was apparently couples that don't take the other person's
- 26:55Speaker 1: last name divorce more often. 50% more likely to get divorced.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Really?
- 27:01Speaker 4: I didn't take my husband's last name.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So you haven't, have you?
- 27:04Speaker 4: No.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Firstly, but.
- 27:06Speaker 4: I must admit, part of it's laziness. I really don't
- 27:08Speaker 4: like paperwork.
- 27:09Speaker 12: I'm like, imagine what you'd need to do to change
- 27:12Speaker 12: your last name.
- 27:12Speaker 4: It's a process. That sounds horrendous.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Amy did it, right? And then Phoebe, you stuck with yours.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I did.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I was waiting for that. I thought we were going
- 27:21Speaker 3: somewhere with this.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Are you going to change it?
- 27:23Speaker 3: Do you know what?
- 27:24Speaker 10: I've got two little kids who've been through a whirlwind
- 27:28Speaker 10: of change. And I think the idea of us having
- 27:31Speaker 10: separate last names and the idea of changing their last
- 27:34Speaker 10: name to my old last name and us not being
- 27:36Speaker 10: a unit. The idea of that to me sounds more
- 27:40Speaker 10: messy and painful than moving forward and just saying, you
- 27:43Speaker 10: know what?
- 27:44Speaker 3: We're a pod of three. We're not missing anything.
- 27:46Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Well, especially I think if.
- 27:47Speaker 12: You have kids, um, You know, I've got a different
- 27:50Speaker 12: name to my daughter for different reasons because, you know,
- 27:53Speaker 12: I don't like paperwork. Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 4: But I just feel like.
- 27:56Speaker 3: You can look her in the eye and tell her that. Yeah,
- 27:58Speaker 3: of course. It's like, mummy just hates admin, darling. But
- 28:01Speaker 3: I think it would be.
- 28:02Speaker 12: Weirder if you did change your name back now with
- 28:05Speaker 12: two kids with that name.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And what's in a name anyway? We're going to hear.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Apparently a lot.
- 28:10Speaker 1: We've just had a little bit of what we're going
- 28:11Speaker 1: to hear on the pod. And you can listen or
- 28:13Speaker 1: watch Overshare with Phoebe Burgess, Hannah Ferrier. Now on the
- 28:17Speaker 1: free iHeart app, new episodes drop every Monday. Thank you
- 28:21Speaker 1: for coming in.
- 28:22Speaker 12: Thank you for having us.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Kiss breakfast. We're doing the.
- 28:27Speaker 4: What are we doing the next? There's a certain type
- 28:29Speaker 4: of snack that's actually better for you than going to
- 28:32Speaker 4: the gym. It's not a protein bar either. I'll tell
- 28:35Speaker 4: you which one that is next.
- 28:36Speaker 1: No, let's do it now.
- 28:37Speaker 10: No.
- 28:38Speaker 4: What are you eating?
- 28:39Speaker 2: Muesli bar.
- 28:40Speaker 4: No, they're not good for you. Full of sugar.
- 28:42Speaker 1: No, I want to hear the thing now.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I don't want to wait.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Oh, you want to hear the thing right now?
- 28:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 4: No ad breaks?
- 28:46Speaker 10: No.
- 28:47Speaker 1: We had one.
- 28:47Speaker 9: Okay.
- 28:48Speaker 1: She's going to need some work before she starts here permanently.
- 28:53Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm actually running this whole show. This is a big issue.
- 29:00Speaker 4: This whole hour I'm doing the pop quiz. We've done
- 29:03Speaker 4: the interview.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Oh, you want me to do this?
- 29:06Speaker 4: Is that what you're saying? I'm doing celebrity news next.
- 29:10Speaker 4: I'm too exhausted.
- 29:14Speaker 1: All right then, Amy. I haven't prepared this, but here
- 29:16Speaker 1: we go. If you want to get more activity in
- 29:18Speaker 1: your life, you don't have to hit the gym. Or
- 29:21Speaker 1: start running marathons? Or go to Pilates every morning? You
- 29:24Speaker 1: were talking about doing Reformer Pilates before?
- 29:27Speaker 5: I used to do Reformer Pilates six days a week.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Now I try and walk every day.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Is that as good?
- 29:35Speaker 4: Seems a bit lazy.
- 29:36Speaker 5: No, walking is actually the most underrated form of exercise.
- 29:40Speaker 5: and it's because it's, you can do it consistently.
- 29:44Speaker 4: You're not going to get any injuries. It's low impact.
- 29:47Speaker 4: You're moving every part of your body. It's actually really
- 29:49Speaker 4: good for you.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Okay. Well, what they want us to do is movement snacks.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It's a small chunk of exercise you sprinkle throughout the day,
- 29:59Speaker 1: so they're not a full workout. So you might set
- 30:01Speaker 1: a timer. Every hour, do 10 squats or 10 press-ups
- 30:07Speaker 1: or plank for 30, then return to what you're doing.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Should we do 30-second plank?
- 30:12Speaker 4: Should we do 10 squats?
- 30:13Speaker 1: I want to see you up on that big table.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Can you plank?
- 30:16Speaker 4: I can absolutely plank.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Up you get. Get up on the table. Come on,
- 30:20Speaker 1: you didn't want to run this, so I'm.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Directing it now.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Why do I need to get on the table?
- 30:24Speaker 1: So we can hear it.
- 30:26Speaker 4: You're not going to hear it. The microphone's here.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Well, I can direct the mic.
- 30:30Speaker 4: I'm in a trench coat.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Come on, get up and plank. All right, you can pick. Okay,
- 30:34Speaker 1: you can pick.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I can plank.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Ten squats, plank.
- 30:38Speaker 4: I'll do ten squats.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:40Speaker 9: All right.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Stand up and do the ten squats.
- 30:44Speaker 8: One, two.
- 30:46Speaker 4: I'm in boots as well.
- 30:48Speaker 8: Three.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Four, five, six.
- 30:54Speaker 2: You think?
- 30:54Speaker 4: Thank you, Sean.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Seven, eight.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Keeping my back straight.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Nine, ten. Well done. There's a movement.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Snack for you.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So apparently you keep doing stuff like that throughout the
- 31:10Speaker 1: day and then you will be fitter. I don't know, though.
- 31:14Speaker 1: You know, it's like the stand-up desk thing.
- 31:17Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Are the wankers that have a stand-up desk? And they've
- 31:19Speaker 1: got to let you know they have one as well.
- 31:21Speaker 4: There's actually a few people in this office that have
- 31:23Speaker 4: stand-up desks.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Do they?
- 31:24Speaker 4: Let's hope they're not listening.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Who?
- 31:27Speaker 4: I'm not saying their names.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I haven't seen anyone.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Gamey knows their names.
- 31:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I don't know. He doesn't even know what's going on, mate.
- 31:35Speaker 1: How do you know what he wants to know?
- 31:36Speaker 4: Oh, calm down. It's because we were deep in discussion
- 31:39Speaker 4: about something and then boom.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 1: That's how radio works. Bang, you're on air. Anyway, enjoy
- 31:45Speaker 1: your movement snacks. And yeah, you are right. You do
- 31:47Speaker 1: have a hit of celeb news coming up for us.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Yes, I do.
- 31:49Speaker 8: Okay.
- 31:50Speaker 2: We'll do that.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Last calls as well. 131065 if you want to get
- 31:55Speaker 1: on and have a chat. Justin Bieber is playing for
- 31:57Speaker 1: you right now. What do you mean? And you read
- 32:01Speaker 1: through that celeb news. I'm not doing that. No way
- 32:04Speaker 1: I'm doing that. Kiss Breakfast. And Amy's got to hit us.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Celeb News, what are you following?
- 32:09Speaker 5: Yes, the red carpet is officially open for the 2026
- 32:14Speaker 5: VMA Awards. It's all happening at the Peacock Theatre in LA.
- 32:17Speaker 5: It's hosted by Snoop Dogg.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Oh, that'll be cool.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Very cool, yep.
- 32:22Speaker 5: And Madonna is leading this year's nomination. She's actually nominated
- 32:26Speaker 5: 13 times.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Which we were talking about a while ago and we
- 32:30Speaker 1: found a bit odd.
- 32:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Well, she's also performing and it'll be her first performance
- 32:36Speaker 5: in over 20 years. I think last time she performed
- 32:39Speaker 5: at the VMAs was when she made out with Britney
- 32:41Speaker 5: Spears and Christina Aguilera.
- 32:42Speaker 1: We don't need that. We don't need that again.
- 32:44Speaker 4: You don't want to see that anymore, do you?
- 32:47Speaker 1: Nan's making out with her daughter.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Nan's making out with her daughter.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Taylor Swift, everybody is waiting for her to make an appearance.
- 32:57Speaker 5: I don't think she has arrived yet.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:00Speaker 4: But she will be given the very first ever Artist
- 33:04Speaker 4: Director's Honours. It's this new award.
- 33:07Speaker 5: It recognises artists whose work behind the camera has expanded.
- 33:11Speaker 4: The possibilities of Of music videos.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:14Speaker 5: And when she receives this award, she will also become
- 33:18Speaker 5: the most awarded artist of all time.
- 33:21Speaker 8: Really?
- 33:22Speaker 4: And she will be taking the lead from Beyonce.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 33:26Speaker 4: So they currently have 30 awards each. Yep. And once
- 33:29Speaker 4: she gets this artist director's honours.
- 33:31Speaker 1: 31.
- 33:32Speaker 3: 31.
- 33:33Speaker 4: 31.
- 33:34Speaker 5: Um, she'll be premiering her new patient.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Zero music video.
- 33:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 1: You like that.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I like that song.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 5: I think Colin Farrell, Dakota Johnson are in it. I saw,
- 33:44Speaker 5: we saw a clip of it last Friday. It looks
- 33:46Speaker 5: quite like dark.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Well, it's someone's died.
- 33:49Speaker 4: There's a cemetery.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Every music clip is now like a bloody Netflix show.
- 33:54Speaker 1: They've got to put effort into it.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 4: So that will be premiering very shortly.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Uh, There'll be a special tribute to Dolly Parton by
- 34:01Speaker 5: country music singer Casey Musgraves.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Oh, yep, yep.
- 34:05Speaker 5: And then there's going to be loads of other performers,
- 34:08Speaker 5: songs from Somba, your favourite.
- 34:11Speaker 7: Ray.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I do like Somba.
- 34:12Speaker 5: Hopefully she's brought her plus one Michael B.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Jordan, my hall pass.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I wonder what happened with that. Are they still together?
- 34:19Speaker 5: Well, everyone saw them on a showground ride and just immediately.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Assumed they were an item.
- 34:23Speaker 1: They must be, yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Teddy Swims is performing and Sienna Spiro.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:28Speaker 4: So, yeah, it's all happening live now so you can
- 34:32Speaker 4: stream it on X or wherever you get your VMA
- 34:36Speaker 4: live updates.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Well, I believe if you want to watch it properly,
- 34:40Speaker 1: Paramount +.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Anyway, so there's been so many iconic moments from the VMAs.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Do you remember when Lady Gaga turned up wearing that
- 34:48Speaker 5: dress made of raw meat?
- 34:49Speaker 1: I always wanted to know, did they cook the meat after?
- 34:51Speaker 4: I didn't want to know that. I just kept thinking
- 34:54Speaker 4: about how bad she would have smelt. Like a butcher.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Literally raw meat after a while just sitting out there
- 35:01Speaker 4: is disgusting.
- 35:02Speaker 5: But I think the most talked about moment comes from
- 35:04Speaker 5: the 2009 VMAs. when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance
- 35:10Speaker 5: speech for best female video.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Actually, it was horrible. Have a listen. Do you remember this?
- 35:16Speaker 6: So thank you so much for giving me a chance
- 35:18Speaker 6: to win a VMA award.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I'm going to let you finish. There we go.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you. I'm going to
- 35:27Speaker 6: let you finish.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I think that's when he went nuts. I don't think
- 35:36Speaker 1: that's cool.
- 35:37Speaker 4: And I don't think Beyonce would have wanted him to
- 35:39Speaker 4: do that either.
- 35:40Speaker 5: She's just won an award and you're getting up there
- 35:43Speaker 5: to take the mic off her.
- 35:46Speaker 4: It's bizarre. That's just not cool at all. He is
- 35:49Speaker 4: a dick.
