- 0:43Sean McAllister: We talked about it last week, but it's here.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: It's here, and it's a nice long weekend landing on a Friday, right?
- 0:49Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: And if you want a full rundown, I mean, we I think we have like mostly everything on there of like the big things happening around town.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: You can listen to our previous episode on Fourth of July.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, that was episode 276.
- 1:04Dayna Roselli: We're on 277 right now.
- 1:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: And obviously, if you're listening on Thursday and Friday, uh, it'll be pertinent.
- 1:12Sean McAllister: If you're listening on Saturday, Sunday, or any time after that, Fourth of July will be over.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: Right.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: But uh, we just wanted to let you know if there is still time to catch up on all things going on Fourth of July.
- 1:24Sean McAllister: Go back and listen to 276.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: And I wanted to mention that we have a thing in the arts district called First Friday, been around forever, happens to land on Fourth of July as well.
- 1:35Dayna Roselli: So downtown is really going to be an active spot for Fourth of July.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: The fireworks over at the plaza at 9 15, and then all the things going on on Fremont.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: Then you've got First Friday happening.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: Um, so it should be a good time in downtown Las Vegas if you're looking for something to do.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the arts district really does just come alive on First Fridays, even more so than it is on a regular Friday.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: It's a lot of fun there.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: And it's different.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: You the you and I were driving downtown recently, and we're like, wow, I haven't been to that place yet.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: All these new places are popping up.
- 2:07Sean McAllister: So many.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: It's a great spot.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: If you haven't been down to explore the arts district, definitely do that.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, Dana, you popped over to a new pop-up over at Fountain Blue, and it looked really, really nice.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's so beautiful, you know, over there to begin with.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: And they have transformed their VIP pool into this new summer pop-up.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: It's all part of Vuv Clicot.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: We always say, how do we say this?
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: I talked to someone and she said the real way is Vuv like glove.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: Vave like glove.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Vove like glove.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: Clicot.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: Clique.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: Vouve cliqueau is how I say it.
- 2:43Sean McAllister: I'm just a normal American pronouncer.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, I'm sure you've had voove in your life.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: It's uh vov voo uh champagne.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: Anyway, they do uh such beautiful pop-ups, and we got one here in Las Vegas, which is great.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: It's a luxury pop-up.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: Um they're doing them all around, but this is the first here in Las Vegas, and it's an exclusive experience that actually is like a daily thing now all summer at the Fountain Blue, and it's a certain area of the pool that has the famous, like, you know, white and yellowish-orangish stripes.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: I don't know what color you'd call that.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: It's like the Vouve, the Vouve yellow.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: The Vouve yellow, yeah.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: And it uh it's just a beautiful little area.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Um, they had a little kickoff party, and we were able to go there, try some of their new rose, which was delicious.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Um, they have like the uh Chase Lounges and cabanas, and they have uh menus that are a little bit more elevated over there at the Sun Club.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: They have an exclusive pairing menu if you want to have some VUV with your you know meal.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: And it's open daily, like I said.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: The hours, it opens early.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: I forget.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: Um but anyway, it's open all day to like seven o'clock.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: I think it's 8 a.m.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: to 7 p.m.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: actually.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: Which is a you can make a good day out of it.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you don't have to be a visitor at the property, or you don't need to be staying at Fountain Blue to go there.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: So FYI, you can book online and make your reservation.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: Great.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: I love summer pop-up clubs like that.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: And it's so funny, after you went, and I know we were talking uh, you know, between us all about the sun club over there at Fountain Blue.
- 4:27Sean McAllister: I started getting other sun clubs popping up in my Instagram algorithm.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: And they don't compare, right?
- 4:34Sean McAllister: No, I mean there was one in Cabo, okay, and it was like out on the beach, but it definitely wasn't as pretty as Fountain Blue.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: This was so nice.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: They have a fountain in there, bar.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: Uh it's just yeah, a nice experience if you want a little elevated pool experience and a little bit more chill.
- 4:52Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: It's nice.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: It did, it looks beautiful.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you're not ready for the whole big old pool party, you know?
- 4:59Sean McAllister: I know I'm I'm never ready for the big old pool party.
- 5:03Sean McAllister: Hey, we wanted to let you know about uh a big renovation happening at the Casablanca Resort.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: Uh that's in Mesquite.
- 5:11Sean McAllister: That's about 90 minutes north of Las Vegas, just off the I-15.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: You see Casablanca there on the right, if you're driving north.
- 5:19Sean McAllister: Um, and they have this multi-million dollar upgrade happening across the property.
- 5:25Sean McAllister: This is touching everything from the casino floor to the guest rooms to the showroom, the dining areas.
- 5:32Sean McAllister: They have two new restaurants that are opening over there this summer as well.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: And this all marks the 30th anniversary of the Casablanca Resort.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: Uh, and you know, they always say it's like Vegas used to be.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: Uh but their commercial slogan?
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: Oh my god, I love it.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: See, it sticks in your brain.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: It does.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: It's a good slogan.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: It does.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: But it's great to see that after 30 years, they're reinvesting in the property, bringing in a new age, moving it forward with all new stuff.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: And we love to see that.
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's a good, you know, 90 minutes north of Las Vegas, right off the I-15, a straight shot.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: I went up to the Hot Air Balloon Festival up there, I think a couple years ago.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: And, you know, it's an easy, easy drive.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: And people do like to go there for a quick little, you know, road trip staycation or a stop off on the way to somewhere else.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: They also do have um chargers for electric cars.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: So a lot of people charge up the car, go in for some dinner or some breakfast.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Um, when I was there, they were saying that some nights they have like this, I don't know, anyway, the they have this like lounge area and they're like, oh, the dance floor is like full every night or you know, on the weekends or whatever.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: And they people like to party there.
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: So it's it's a good time and easy to get to.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: So we're glad that they are, like you said, investing in the property and you know, making some changes up there and happy 30th anniversary.
- 6:54Sean McAllister: We look forward to going to see those renovations over there at Casablanca.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: Uh, meantime, back on the strip, Adam Sandler is coming back to town for his fall 2025 arena tour, and that's making a stop at the Blue Live Theater over there at Fountain Blue.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: I love the name of it too.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: You're my best friend tour.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's so Adam Sandler, isn't it?
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: Uh, I just love Adam Sandler.
- 7:19Dayna Roselli: He is a character.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: Whenever people show clips of him on social media where they stop him on the side of the road, like walking through Hollywood or LA and his, you know, his outfit that's like mismatched, and he just doesn't care.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: And then what award show was he at recently?
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: And he didn't really dress up as you know, as nice as he should have.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: They were giving him a hard time.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: He was laughing.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's just like a regular dude.
- 7:42Sean McAllister: Um well, and then he did his chalomet.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, the Tillamy Chalomet, Timothy Chalomet.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's great, and his movies are great.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: I watch him in, you know, sometimes I watch like an old movie and Adam Sandler's in it, and I'm like, you know, he is so good.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: He can do the serious, he can do the funny.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: He can.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: He does it all.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Really.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's a great guy.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: So anyway, I've never seen him do stand-up.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: I'm excited for this.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, you know what?
- 8:06Sean McAllister: I have never been to one of his stand-up shows either.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: No.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: So he's here on Halloween, actually, October 31st and uh November 1st.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: So two nights over there at the Fountain Blue tickets are on sale now.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: So if you want to see Adam Sandler, go get your tickets.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: That should be a good one.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: And hey, there are some changes happening over at the Venetian resort that we wanted to let you know about.
- 8:27Sean McAllister: One of them, you have to stay tuned uh for our tips coming up in just a few minutes.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: But first, Electra Cocktail Club, uh, which was a popular lounge over there right off the casino floor, uh, it is temporarily closed and they're doing a full transformation inside.
- 8:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that'll be cool.
- 8:47Dayna Roselli: You know, you look at it and you're like, doesn't need a refresh.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: It was already beautiful.
- 8:52Dayna Roselli: But that's Vegas for you, right?
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: Uh so it's undergoing, yeah, this interior refresh and concept relaunch.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: And so don't worry, it'll be back.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: Um, but over there at the Venetian, if you're used to seeing the Electra Cocktail Club coming alive and a spot that you usually go to, just FYI, it's closed for a full transformation and it will open back up at some point soon.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: And hey, Dana, we didn't plan on talking about this, but I just went and saw uh the new F1 movie with Brad Pitt.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:20Sean McAllister: And it is so good.
- 9:23Sean McAllister: You loved it.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 9:26Sean McAllister: So we've been to the race for a couple years in a row now.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: Uh, and one of the things that we enjoyed about being actual spectators at the race is they set up screens around the track so you can hear the actual uh commentary from the announcers, which is different from and we've talked about this in the past.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: It's different and it lets you uh stay up to date on what's happening around the track.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: I like that.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: Well, you get the same vibe when you're watching this movie too.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: And there's a lot of racing action in there.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: The storyline, there's obviously a storyline in there, but it's not like heavy-handed.
- 10:04Sean McAllister: It doesn't take away from F1, which is what the movie's all about.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: But I feel like even for uh people who aren't already fans of F1, this gives them a great idea of what the experience of F1 is like.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean it's a great PR for the race, right?
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Because I do follow some funny woman on Instagram that like she watches things and has her own little side commentary.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: And she was saying this F1 movie, I knew nothing about F1 before, but I am intrigued, and now I kind of want to follow it.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: And I thought, ooh, this is great for people, like you said, who didn't follow F1, hear so much about it, don't know much about it, or want to learn more.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: And a lot of scenes shot in Las Vegas, so maybe this will help bring lots of people to Vegas for F1.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: And you get some really good insights like from the driver's perspective and for like the strategy for the racing teams.
- 11:03Sean McAllister: Because you know, some teams have you know two drivers out on the course at the same time, they have two different cars racing, and like one car, like maybe their strategy is to cause a little chaos on the on the course, right?
- 11:17Sean McAllister: What so that the other teammate can go ahead and do well and play.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: So I had never I didn't get that aspect of F1 before going to see the movie.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I think when you're watching a race, if you're there live, it is nice to know a little bit, you know, like stuff like that.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: Makes it more entertaining and you get a little bit more strategic and all that kind of thing.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: So I love that.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: I'm glad the movie's doing well.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: People seem to really love it.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: It looks like it was beautifully shot, filmed, was it?
- 11:46Sean McAllister: Oh, it was incredible.
- 11:48Sean McAllister: And the Vegas shots are amazing.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, we just look good on in any movie.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: It did, it looked great.
- 11:54Sean McAllister: And right at the the turn where we were sitting last year, right there around the sphere.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: They there were some beautiful shots of that turn on our Las Vegas circuit.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: So it was fun to see that and be like, oh my gosh.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: I sat right there.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: It's so funny how long.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, it seems like yesterday, but I remember when Brad Pitt was in town for the first Formula One race and shooting scenes here, and it's like, God, what has it been like a year and a half?
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: Like things take a while to actually, you know, finish up, get edited, get released, and all that.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: And now we're finally getting to see this movie.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: It's about two and a half hours long, though, right?
- 12:32Sean McAllister: It is, but it didn't feel like it.
- 12:33Sean McAllister: That's good.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: It didn't feel long to me.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: I was like, I was invested the whole way through, which was good.
- 12:39Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: A lot of action.
- 12:41Sean McAllister: So just wanted to mention that.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: And by the way, uh the F1 experience over at the F1 headquarters here in Las Vegas is now open on actual F1 race days when there's races happening in other parts of the world.
- 12:55Sean McAllister: Um, a lot of times they'll show them in one of the lounges over there.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: So that's a good place to keep in mind if you are a race fan.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: That's cool.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: Hey, um, let's talk staycations real quick.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: We did this as a tip recently.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: Scroll down to the bottom of our page, and we've got a blog post on there with all the locals' deals happening around Las Vegas.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: Or there are tons of deals, too many to mention.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: I just got a text from the Sahara the other day when it said, like, you know, locals that book a stacation enjoy no resort fees and casino promos and a chance to win a free cruise and all sorts of stuff.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: Um, and it just reminded me.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: Then I also got an email from uh Resorts World just today, reminding us that July 1st to the 31st, they're doing 20% off all the dining outlets, um, Sunday through Thursdays with a Nevada ID.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: So there's so many different, you know, promos going on.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: You said you saw a couple ticket deals.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, there were ticket deals uh for some of the shows at Caesars properties that were like 40% off tickets for locals.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: So good.
- 13:59Sean McAllister: If you live in Las Vegas, this is the summer to take advantage of everything on the strip that you may not normally think about going to because the price is right.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the price is definitely right.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: Well, that's kind of a tip, but let's get to our real tips now.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: So Dana, uh last week on Vegas Revealed, we talked about weenies and bikinis.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: The hot dog eating contest at Cirque.
- 14:28Dayna Roselli: Circa.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, we had a blast.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: We had some giggles.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: Um, the name, the creative names that they come up with over there at Circa and Stadium Swim.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: But yeah, we talked about the hot dog eating contest.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: And now we find out there's a wing eating contest, a wing-off happening at the plaza.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: So we like food eating contests lately.
- 14:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, apparently.
- 14:49Sean McAllister: And so the qualifying event for this wing eating contest is happening on July 4th.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: However, the main event is coming back on February 7th, once again over at Plaza.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: So you can mark your calendar.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: If you miss the qualifier on July 4th, you can come back in February.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: And apparently this is a big deal, okay?
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: It's called Wing Bowl, and and they're calling it iconic.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: It's the premier chicken wing eating competition that was founded in Philadelphia in 1993.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: So this is a big deal that the main event, Wing Bowl 2026, will take place February 7th at the plaza, right there at the carousel bar.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: It's um they're doing the 6 p.m.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: qualifying on July 4th.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: That's free and open to the public.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: You can go watch folks eat wings and cheer them on.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: And the top two wing eaters are the ones who are going to move on to the main event in February.
- 15:51Sean McAllister: So yeah, cheer them on.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: Big deal.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: I gosh, I love a good wing.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: And you get$5,000 cash.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: Not too bad.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: Uh 20 competitors will battle it out for three rounds of intense wing-eating action.
- 16:07Sean McAllister: And that is right there at the uh carousel bar.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: So there's lots of foot traffic around there.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that'll be fun.
- 16:14Sean McAllister: And that will.
- 16:14Sean McAllister: That'll be a good environment down there.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Well, we said we were gonna go back to the Venetian and tell you about the new, well, something new there.
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: And it's the food hall.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: So a little bit of everything over there.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: It's called Via Via, and a lot of folks have been talking about this for a long time.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: It's this bold new food hall at the Venetian.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: It's officially open, and you can go there and start trying all the different things they have to offer.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, there are a lot of different choices.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: Um, there's restaurants from New York, New Orleans, Los Angeles, uh, and they the way that they have it designed makes you feel like you're roaming through the streets of Venice, and there's just these little street vendors that you walk up to, get different types of food.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Which is appropriate that it's a the Venetian.
- 17:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we've been seeing a lot of reviews, people saying it's really good.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: Um, we need to get over there still.
- 17:08Sean McAllister: Looks beautiful.
- 17:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, this is all part of their, we told you like a year ago that they were doing this big$1.5 billion reinvestment project at the Venetian, and this is one of the big key milestones.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: So, congratulations to the folks over there.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: And whenever there's a new culinary concept, we're in, and I know people love updates, they love new additions.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: And if you love the Venetian, this might be somewhere you want to stop.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: And food halls are becoming so popular because sometimes you just want to get a little something or you want to grab something from one place, and then you're in the mood for something else over here, and that way you can do it.
- 17:45Sean McAllister: It's funny a couple years ago when we first heard of like food halls coming to Las Vegas, we're like, food hall, what are we doing with this?
- 17:54Sean McAllister: Why?
- 17:54Sean McAllister: And then it food halls are everywhere now.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: Everyone has a food hall.
- 17:59Dayna Roselli: I know, and it's good.
- 18:02Dayna Roselli: Like recently we were at a certain property and we walked by the buffet.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: You and I won't say the name of the place, and people love their buffets, and I'm glad we still have buffets, they are so popular, and I totally get it.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: But like sometimes when you smell all the smells of the different kinds of food and like open, I'm like, I don't know, the smell is not appealing to me.
- 18:22Dayna Roselli: So I like a food hall where it's like separated things.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: Well, even as I was walking by that buffet, I was like, you know what?
- 18:29Sean McAllister: I just I can't physically eat enough to make a buffet worth it.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 18:36Sean McAllister: I wish I could, yeah, but I just can't, and I'm not bringing Tupperware to bring it home.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: But there's totally against the rules.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: There's always a line when we walk by this.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: Always.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's popular.
- 18:45Sean McAllister: I mean, people love a buffet.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: They do.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: And I'm glad that we still have buffets in Las Vegas.
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: I would never want the buffet to go away completely.
- 18:52Sean McAllister: No.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: It's a part of you know, what Vegas was and is.
- 18:55Sean McAllister: I just love a good salad bar.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that I can't.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: Oh, like a really good salad bar that has like really nice topping.
- 19:03Sean McAllister: I know what did happen to sweet tomatoes.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: We need a hotel property to open a sweet tomatoes inside.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: You'd kill it.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: Sometimes you just want a good salad bar.
- 19:12Sean McAllister: And so you can go and like choose your protein to put on top, all your different veggie toppings.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: I love the little banana peppers.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: I like to put, I like to decide how much I want of what on what.
- 19:23Dayna Roselli: Instead of somebody dipping their hands in there and putting it on for me.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: So I, you know, like, and then you have to be like, can you put a little extra?
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: Or oh no, no olives.
- 19:31Dayna Roselli: I just want to choose, I want to do it.
- 19:33Sean McAllister: And do you know what I do really do like?
- 19:34Sean McAllister: This is totally getting off of the podcast topic, but um, but at salad bars, I like the like hard-boiled eggs that are cut in half.
- 19:45Sean McAllister: And then I like those little bacon bits.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 19:48Sean McAllister: Like not, it's not real bacon, but it's like the bacon flavored bacon bits that you find at a salad bar.
- 19:55Sean McAllister: And I love those with a good ranch dressing, a good buttermilk ranch.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: I mean, and we're not talking like that's the thing.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: We're not going to this the the kind of salad bar we're talking about.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: We're not going to lose weight.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: No.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: No, we're pouring the ranch on, we're putting the bacon bits that are probably processed and dried and probably have no actual bacon in them.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: But they're bacon-inspired bits.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: But it is a nice little like if you just wanna sometimes you just don't want like the full meal.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: Like you're gonna go out to dinner later and you just wanna, yeah.
- 20:29Sean McAllister: Like the crispy iceberg lettuce, nice and cold.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: I brought a hard-boiled egg for lunch today.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: Oh, did you?
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I've been on a hard-boiled egg kick.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: Learning how to perfect my hard-boiledness.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: It's very hard to get it perfect.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: So I've been doing different like watching different videos on how people do it.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: My you you know what the the key is for me?
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: The best batch I've What's that?
- 20:54Sean McAllister: Because I'm curious.
- 20:55Sean McAllister: I never make them because I don't like the whole process of like boiling the water in it.
- 20:59Sean McAllister: It's not that hard to make it.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: Are they done?
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: I've got the fat the fastest and the most effective is put them in the water cold, boil it.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: Once it gets to a boil, take it off or turn it down to low, and then just cover it with uh the top and leave it there for like six, seven minutes.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: Because it's almost like cooking it still, like in the steam, yep.
- 21:23Dayna Roselli: And then transfer it to cold water, let it yeah, just make a little bowl on the side, pour some cold water in there, put them in there, and then they're they're cooled off.
- 21:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's pretty easy.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: Instead of knowing like how long should I have them sitting there with the boil, like as soon as it starts boiling, you turn it down or move it off to a different burner and then put the top on.
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: Because you know, sometimes you'd want to sit there and go, well, how long has it been boiling?
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: But don't worry about that.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Once it starts boiling, take it off, put the lid on, and it's like still cooking it.
- 21:52Sean McAllister: Well, there you go.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: You got two Vegas tips and a hard-boiled egg tip from Roselli.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: I don't even know how we got into this, but whatever.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: Salad bars.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: Salad bars.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: Salad bars.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: Before that, we were talking about the Venetian food hall.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, next week we're talking about uh everything Chinatown.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: Chinatown, Vegas has like over 150 restaurants in a three-plus mile growing, yeah, yeah, radius over there.
