- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:29Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse on Daniel Malley along with
- 0:32Speaker 1: Trade Trenholme and Raj Sharma. Today is Monday, June thirtieth,
- 0:37Speaker 1: two thousand and one. Five Massive news coming down out
- 0:43Speaker 1: of the Supreme Court. Depending on how you feel about this,
- 0:48Speaker 1: it might be good news, it might be bad news.
- 0:50Speaker 1: The Supreme Court has upheld the Texas law requiring age
- 0:55Speaker 1: verification for adult sits. So age verification is a big,
- 1:04Speaker 1: big thing and it's real now inside the state of Texas.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I still don't know exactly how they are supposed to
- 1:13Speaker 1: verify this, because I, for one, wouldn't be real big
- 1:18Speaker 1: on just you know, letting an adult site just snap
- 1:22Speaker 1: a photo of my driver's license or any other actual identification,
- 1:29Speaker 1: because we're being honest, I don't really trust the Internet
- 1:31Speaker 1: with it. So that's kind of where I stand on that.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I don't know how they actually do it, because you
- 1:41Speaker 1: can't just type in like when you go to a
- 1:45Speaker 1: like a website for liquor or beer or something, they
- 1:49Speaker 1: make you enter in your age. But I mean, look,
- 1:53Speaker 1: you can be fifteen and type in your dad's birthday
- 1:56Speaker 1: or something, and I don't think anyone actually shows up
- 1:59Speaker 1: and does thing to you for it, So it seems
- 2:02Speaker 1: kind of like a silly measure that doesn't have any actual,
- 2:06Speaker 1: you know, teeth to it. But again, I don't know.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I'm not an Internet person. I'm not I'm not into coding,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and I don't know how they can actually check on that.
- 2:15Speaker 1: But the Supreme Court sided with Texas over a law
- 2:19Speaker 1: requiring pornographic websites to verify the age of users before
- 2:24Speaker 1: allowing them to access the site sixty three ruining sixty
- 2:29Speaker 1: three ruling. The Supreme Court sided with Texas, and this
- 2:33Speaker 1: could have an impact on several states that have passed
- 2:36Speaker 1: similar legislation.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Who are who are the three that didn't vote to uphold.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It writing for the.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah, John Blake on the.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Third Yeah, Keagan was the one that actually writ the
- 2:58Speaker 1: dissenting argument. But yeah, sixty three Supreme Court says, you
- 3:03Speaker 1: gotta you gotta punch in your age verification if you
- 3:06Speaker 1: want to, you know, enjoy some adult theme material inside.
- 3:09Speaker 4: The state of Tech.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Probably be the other one that would make sense. Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 1: On the other hand, right after this law was first
- 3:17Speaker 1: announced and passed by the state legislature, VPN searches went
- 3:22Speaker 1: through the roof, so that might still be a thing
- 3:25Speaker 1: to go around the law in the first place. So
- 3:30Speaker 1: this is one of those that it may not even
- 3:31Speaker 1: matter if you're vpning your way around this law.
- 3:35Speaker 3: The Internet will find a way. Amen.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That needs to be a shirt.
- 3:44Speaker 1: The Internet never forgets and it will always find a way.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it was, like, didn't it just affect
- 3:54Speaker 2: like a few of the major sites, But like you
- 3:57Speaker 2: can find other stuff. There's gotta be offshoots of other sides.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I'm guessing, I don't know.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 1: A group representing the adult entertainment industry, including websites like
- 4:09Speaker 1: porn Hub, challenged the law, claiming it violated the First Amendment.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Texas argued that miners are able to get around current
- 4:18Speaker 1: age verification requirements too easily. Justice Clarence Thomas said age
- 4:24Speaker 1: verification is a part of a state's authority to prevent
- 4:27Speaker 1: children from accessing it's actually explicit content. Texas Attorney General
- 4:32Speaker 1: Ken Paxton called the decision a major victory, saying it's
- 4:35Speaker 1: a major victory for kids, parents, and the ability of
- 4:38Speaker 1: states to protect miners from the damaging effects of online
- 4:41Speaker 1: adult material.
- 4:44Speaker 2: He seems like fun.
- 4:48Speaker 1: The Court has ruled on similar issues in the past.
- 4:51Speaker 1: In nineteen ninety six, it struck down parts of a
- 4:53Speaker 1: law banning explicit material viewable by kids online. The court
- 4:57Speaker 1: ruled against a different federal law aimed at opping kids
- 5:00Speaker 1: for being exposed to adult content in two thousand far
- 5:02Speaker 1: but said less restrictive measures like content filtering are constitutional.
- 5:07Speaker 2: See whatever you drive by the adult stores now, like
- 5:11Speaker 2: you know the the I don't know the names of
- 5:13Speaker 2: them or whatever, but you always see the cars outside.
- 5:15Speaker 2: You're like, who still does that? Now?
- 5:17Speaker 3: You know why?
- 5:18Speaker 2: That's that's what it's. It's keeping those places open. I'm
- 5:21Speaker 2: hoping that's the what the those stores are the ones
- 5:24Speaker 2: lobbying to bean this stuff so that they they keep
- 5:30Speaker 2: selling whatever it is they sell, like DVDs or whatever
- 5:33Speaker 2: it is. Because that's that's the We're going back in time. Now.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Kids are going to have to do the same thing
- 5:39Speaker 2: that we had to do as kids. Find somebody whose
- 5:42Speaker 2: dad had porn, and like I always.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Peak your head through the beads into the back room.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. And like when you found somebody who's like,
- 5:51Speaker 2: my dad's got porn, you're like, yeah, I mean you're
- 5:53Speaker 2: not a good person. I can tell you know what
- 5:57Speaker 2: I mean, Like you're thirteen with a neck tattoo. Of
- 5:59Speaker 2: course your dad that's porn.
- 6:02Speaker 1: If you're thirteen with a neck tattoo, your dad's in poor.

- 7:52Speaker 3: I'm Dan.
- 7:52Speaker 1: He's Trade. That's Raj. Today's Monday, June thirtieth, twenty twenty five.
- 7:58Speaker 1: A few days ago, Raj, while you were out of town.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Trade did something mean to me? He sent me. Trey
- 8:04Speaker 1: sent me a link of a forty minute mixed full
- 8:09Speaker 1: body kettlebell workout.
- 8:12Speaker 2: What Trey? Why?
- 8:15Speaker 1: I think Trey is trying to kill me. Not because
- 8:19Speaker 1: the workout will be so intense I'll have a heart
- 8:21Speaker 1: attack and die. I think it's because deep down he
- 8:24Speaker 1: knows that me swinging twenty pounds iron balls are inevitably
- 8:29Speaker 1: going to hit myself. I'm inevitably going to hit myself
- 8:32Speaker 1: in the head and kill me. Convinced me I'm wrong, Trey.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I do not want any fatal harm to happen to you.
- 8:42Speaker 3: That is false.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But you'd be fine if I became a kettlebell vegetable.
- 8:46Speaker 9: No, but a bank on the head would be funny.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Wait, why am I laughing at that?
- 8:56Speaker 2: That's just something me. He's already got a bad shoulder,
- 8:59Speaker 2: he has a ten and see to run into structures.
- 9:01Speaker 2: We've established this like he worked his way out of
- 9:04Speaker 2: a big bit. Do you understand the accomplishments tray that
- 9:07Speaker 2: this man has made. He worked his way up from
- 9:09Speaker 2: a big pencil.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Well, I figured he still has the helmet. If he
- 9:12Speaker 3: needs it, he put it on.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I can't wait to go to the gym to do
- 9:17Speaker 1: my kettlebell workout because I don't own any kettlebells, So
- 9:19Speaker 1: if I'm going to do it, I'm gonna have to
- 9:21Speaker 1: go to the gym and use theirs. Just imagine the
- 9:24Speaker 1: site that the fellow gym goers would have as I
- 9:28Speaker 1: put a helmet on and then start going through this
- 9:31Speaker 1: forty minute kettlebell workout.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Or you know, kettlebells are actually very affordable.
- 9:36Speaker 9: You can get a couple and just film it at home,
- 9:39Speaker 9: live stream it if you will.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Charge charge of feet.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'd well, you know what, the stream it might last
- 9:51Speaker 1: forty minutes, but if I hit myself on the head
- 9:55Speaker 1: hard enough it might last about forty hours, because that
- 9:57Speaker 1: might be about the time that I have to come to.
- 10:02Speaker 1: So the way I see it as this, there's only
- 10:03Speaker 1: two real ways that I should be allowed to do
- 10:06Speaker 1: a kettlebell workout. One is that Trey touched on already,
- 10:10Speaker 1: is that I would probably need a helmet to protect myself.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Two is do they make any kettlebells with pads? Like?
- 10:17Speaker 1: Do they all have to be iron?
- 10:21Speaker 2: You could just do the kettlebell workout with like the
- 10:23Speaker 2: NFL padded helmet thing that.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Everybody's like, the big one, the one that you're like
- 10:29Speaker 1: two days you're like two days removed from a major concussion,
- 10:33Speaker 1: so you look like dark helmet from Spaceballs running around
- 10:36Speaker 1: on the field. Oh, you could tell he just got
- 10:39Speaker 1: he just got his bell run the other day. He's
- 10:40Speaker 1: got the big helmet on.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yes, I'm not gonna make that. I'll send you guys
- 10:46Speaker 2: the picture. I mean, we can maybe even post it
- 10:48Speaker 2: on on something. But the first time I moved to
- 10:51Speaker 2: when I moved to California, I went to the gym
- 10:53Speaker 2: the first day and there was a guy on the
- 10:54Speaker 2: treadmill with a I'm not making this up. I'll send
- 10:57Speaker 2: you the picture bicycle helmet on while he was running
- 11:01Speaker 2: on the treadmill and I'm like, oh, something happened. So
- 11:07Speaker 2: all I'm saying is, Dan, when you start doing this workout.
- 11:10Speaker 2: If we start to record another episode and there you
- 11:12Speaker 2: are sitting there with a big pencil writing show notes
- 11:15Speaker 2: with a helmet on your head, I'm like, well that
- 11:16Speaker 2: workout work.
- 11:18Speaker 1: You'll know something happened. There's a reason for this.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Tray will still smile.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Oh, he'll love it.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I just look at they do make soft kettlebells, so you.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Know they do, Okay, so I might be a little
- 11:34Speaker 1: more open to it. I think that's the only smart
- 11:36Speaker 1: way for me to try a kettlebell workout, as if
- 11:40Speaker 1: I can get the softies.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Are you not looking at Trey's face when he said
- 11:44Speaker 2: they make soft kettlebells, I'm the gullible simp. You're gonna
- 11:47Speaker 2: be the one completely knocked out on the floor. And
- 11:49Speaker 2: He's like, they don't make soft kettlebells.
- 11:52Speaker 3: No, they really do.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, I thought you were just trying to sweet
- 11:56Speaker 2: up the process.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Right, No, I just googled it and't look. You know,
- 11:59Speaker 3: it's a.
- 12:01Speaker 9: Listen low impact might well make for a longer bit so.
- 12:07Speaker 3: And the thing about it is Dan's just thinking of
- 12:10Speaker 3: his head.
- 12:11Speaker 9: The fact of matter is when you're swinging in between
- 12:12Speaker 9: your legs and sometimes you're moving at the same time,
- 12:15Speaker 9: you know you can take out a knee shit nut.
- 12:20Speaker 1: You're right, because that's one of the more aggressive kettlebell
- 12:23Speaker 1: movements that I've seen. It's when you grab one kettlebell
- 12:27Speaker 1: with two hands and you're lowering it between your legs
- 12:31Speaker 1: and you're heaving it up forward and then you lower
- 12:34Speaker 1: it back down right towards your crotch. So it takes
- 12:36Speaker 1: some serious control. Like if you grab a weight that's
- 12:38Speaker 1: a little too heavy and you can't control it on
- 12:41Speaker 1: the way down, then well you're going down.
- 12:45Speaker 9: Yeah, that's the kettlebell swing. It's like the probably the
- 12:48Speaker 9: base movement.
- 12:50Speaker 1: It's the nut knockers. What that is.
- 12:54Speaker 2: That's how you differentiate between somebody who has like who's
- 12:57Speaker 2: actually trying to work out, or who has a resolution
- 13:00Speaker 2: for the year.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Like or that's someone who can't afford a vast sectomy.
- 13:04Speaker 1: This movement is called the sterilizer.
- 13:10Speaker 2: We're gonna work out your shoulders and no future children.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Just imagine that meeting with a personal trainer and be like, Okay,
- 13:17Speaker 1: welcome into the gym, sir, what are your goals to
- 13:19Speaker 1: never have kids? I got you.
- 13:21Speaker 9: I mean you've got two options Ketbo work out or
- 13:23Speaker 9: an ice protest.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They are known to shadow the testicle.
- 13:38Speaker 4: You're in the tree House.

- 14:22Speaker 1: R e o N dot com slash Treehouse on Air
- 14:25Speaker 1: and we'll see you this Tuesday. This is the tree
- 14:29Speaker 1: House Show Daniel Malley along with Trade Trendholm and Raj Sharma.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Good news, bad news. I'm not going to give you
- 14:36Speaker 1: the option. I'm just going to tell you the bad
- 14:38Speaker 1: news first. Good news. Bad news. Bad news is old
- 14:42Speaker 1: people's smell is real. We're all gonna get it. The
- 14:48Speaker 1: good news is, though there might be a cure. The
- 14:53Speaker 1: cure is mushrooms. And I would now like to break
- 14:58Speaker 1: newsman character and say this feel like a trap, because
- 15:01Speaker 1: if you really break down the subtle nuances of old
- 15:04Speaker 1: people smell moldy mushrooms, I think is in there like
- 15:08Speaker 1: notes of it.
- 15:11Speaker 2: What is old people's smell?
- 15:13Speaker 1: You don't know old people? Have you ever been to
- 15:15Speaker 1: a nursing home?
- 15:16Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Your parents own like a home health.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Company, had a home health and a pediatrical But I
- 15:24Speaker 2: worked in a nursing home.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I wasn't, so you should know what old people smell is.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It's that smell when you walk into the nursing home
- 15:29Speaker 1: and you go, oh god.
- 15:30Speaker 2: What is that? That's usually this It's called sanitizer. The
- 15:37Speaker 2: smell mm hmm.
- 15:39Speaker 1: There's a certain there's a certain.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Aroma, stale, urine, rotting, flesh.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yep, sadness.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't. I don't know which which
- 15:48Speaker 2: nursing homes you guys want to or put your loved
- 15:50Speaker 2: ones in, but that's not how they're supposed to go.
- 15:53Speaker 1: We put them in the ones they could afford.
- 16:00Speaker 2: They called it a nursing home. We called it the
- 16:01Speaker 2: garage whatever. Uh yeah, Uh, yeah, I understand, like they
- 16:06Speaker 2: had that like weird like like some of them have
- 16:08Speaker 2: like the mothballs smell like that's a thing because they'll
- 16:12Speaker 2: keep mothballs in the room to keep the clothes stuff
- 16:15Speaker 2: like that.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I get.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, old people smell is a real thing, and it's
- 16:19Speaker 1: not just a mix of mothballs, decorative soaps, foul soup,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and you know, butterscotch candies. Technically it is a body odor,
- 16:29Speaker 1: but it's not hygiene related. There's a compound called two noninal.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I'm not sure if I'm saying that right, but it's
- 16:37Speaker 1: two dash n O n e n a L two noninal.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Maybe not anyway, There's a compound called two noninal that's
- 16:48Speaker 1: created by chemicals in the body breaking down over time.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Old people secrete two nonal, which produces their smell. But
- 16:56Speaker 1: there is a chance you can do something about the
- 16:58Speaker 1: old people smell. Apt says eating mushrooms up to four
- 17:01Speaker 1: times a week might help to eliminate it, especially shataki,
- 17:05Speaker 1: oyster and button mushrooms. There are two rare compounds found
- 17:10Speaker 1: in them. One is ergothianine and the other one is
- 17:14Speaker 1: spermidine That sounds loaded. They work from within the body
- 17:18Speaker 1: to combat the formation of two noninal If you don't
- 17:21Speaker 1: like mushrooms, there are mushroom extracts you can buy, or
- 17:24Speaker 1: possibly adding more of the games peas and soy to
- 17:27Speaker 1: your diet. For some reason, adding more soy to your diet,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I don't see that as helping your old people smell.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I think that may just make it worse.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's what you want to give them when
- 17:37Speaker 2: they have a weird smell. Beans, Yeah, thank you.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I don't need them Like they already secrete the old
- 17:43Speaker 1: people's smell. We don't need them tooting it either.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Well, that'll make you forget about the old people's smell,
- 17:48Speaker 2: depending on how much beans they're consuming.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Well, I think what's going to happen is it's going
- 17:53Speaker 1: to be a normal there's like normal fart smell, and
- 17:55Speaker 1: then there's going to be old people fart smell. So
- 17:59Speaker 1: those two power will combine to create something new and horrendous.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you have to make like some sort
- 18:05Speaker 2: of like undergarment like the like that depends that. Like
- 18:09Speaker 2: when they do have, you know, pass a little gas,
- 18:12Speaker 2: maybe it filters out and like a popt purice smell
- 18:14Speaker 2: comes out. I don't know something that it makes no
- 18:17Speaker 2: gas more pleasant.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Or whatever gets secreted into the adult diaper more pleasant. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: kind of like a poopore liner. Also, can I just
- 18:27Speaker 1: say real quick that I understand the reason why the
- 18:31Speaker 1: most famous adult diaper on the market is called Depends,
- 18:34Speaker 1: But I would prefer something more certain, Like if there
- 18:40Speaker 1: was an adult diaper company called Certainty, that would be
- 18:43Speaker 1: the one I would buy over. It depends.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It depends is letting you know. It's like a buddy,
- 18:50Speaker 2: I'm dependable, I'm here for you, Like certain just sounds
- 18:53Speaker 2: like I'm here Like that just sounds aggressive.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I hopkil Milton needed certain.
- 19:03Speaker 2: You had an uncle named Milt.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Step On steps great uncle.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Oh, that's a lot of categories to below.
- 19:11Speaker 1: It was my racist grandmother glicks, I believe. Third husband,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I don't know how that all works.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I don't either. He was he was aggressive and like
- 19:26Speaker 2: like you said, secrets, he was. He was aggressively.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he was aggressively, incontinent and no one took the
- 19:33Speaker 1: brunt of it more than his assisted standing chair. Oh,
- 19:38Speaker 1: because it was bad, because I think that I think
- 19:40Speaker 1: it was Scotch guarded some So when he would unfortunately,
- 19:44Speaker 1: he would wet himself, it would get on the chair,
- 19:46Speaker 1: but since it was Scotch guarded, it would kind of
- 19:48Speaker 1: pull up. But then when he would look down and
- 19:51Speaker 1: realize that he's wet himself, he would then hit the
- 19:53Speaker 1: button for the assisted chair to help him stand. But
- 19:56Speaker 1: since the chair was Scotch guarded, the peep would then
- 19:59Speaker 1: roll off the chairt onto the carpet.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Did he slide with it as well?
- 20:04Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You couldn't put like a peep ad down there or
- 20:07Speaker 3: something to catch it.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I don't think those had been invented yet. It was
- 20:11Speaker 1: just a It was just like like an injury rug.
- 20:14Speaker 2: He's got a peep out at the base on the chair.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Every time he does stand up, you give him a treat.
- 20:19Speaker 2: That's nice.
- 20:22Speaker 3: You couldn't spare some brownie or something.
- 20:26Speaker 1: There's the reason why it was her third husband.

- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trendholm and Raj Sharma. Raj,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I believe you are all caught up on all episodes
- 21:32Speaker 1: of Cobra Kai. Yes, yes, Trey, are you a big
- 21:36Speaker 1: Cobra Kai watcher? The series on Netflix.
- 21:41Speaker 9: I have not finished it. I think I got through
- 21:43Speaker 9: season two and nothing wrong with it. I like the show,
- 21:49Speaker 9: but I think something else came along that I was
- 21:51Speaker 9: more interested in and I just never picked it back.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Up fair enough. So you started it, have not finished it,
- 21:56Speaker 1: That's where I am. I got through probably around midway
- 21:59Speaker 1: through when all the kids started kicking each other in
- 22:01Speaker 1: the high school, and then still no one would bother
- 22:03Speaker 1: to call the police even though kids were being paralyzed
- 22:08Speaker 1: with kicks and things. So yeah, I have not finished
- 22:11Speaker 1: it yet. And apparently Martin Cove, who played Cobra Kai's
- 22:18Speaker 1: since a John Crease in the original Karate Kid movies.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Apparently he doesn't pay attention to the movie, that to
- 22:25Speaker 1: the movies that he shot, because this past weekend at
- 22:30Speaker 1: a convention in Washington, he bit one of his fellow
- 22:35Speaker 1: stars from the Cobra Kai series. Seventy eight year old
- 22:39Speaker 1: Cobra Kai villain Martin Cove was asked to leave a
- 22:41Speaker 1: fan convention after he bit his co star Alicia Hannick Kim.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I did read that. He apparently was according to him,
- 22:55Speaker 2: was playing around, yeah, and then bit her arm and
- 22:58Speaker 2: I think he left the mark or drew blood.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Was almost drew Yeah, almost drew blood. For those unfamiliar
- 23:04Speaker 1: with the show or the Karate Kid movies, Martin Cove
- 23:08Speaker 1: played bad guy John Kreas Alicia, who he bit, played
- 23:12Speaker 1: another villainous since in seasons five and six. According to
- 23:16Speaker 1: a police report file by Alicia, Martin randomly grabbed her
- 23:19Speaker 1: arm and bit down as she passed by him. He
- 23:21Speaker 1: then allegedly kissed her arm when she yelled out in pain.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Uh sorry, I'm just being reminded when I was a
- 23:29Speaker 1: kid and I kissed the boob would make it better.
- 23:31Speaker 1: But I think this is a really warped version of
- 23:33Speaker 1: that Martin's bite was so hard that it almost drew blood,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and it left a bruise. Alicia decided not to press charges,
- 23:40Speaker 1: even though she had a police report. In photos taken,
- 23:43Speaker 1: she says she was furious and outraged, visibly angry. Or
- 23:46Speaker 1: he was furious and outraged and visibly angry. When I
- 23:50Speaker 1: told him, calmly, don't bite me, he insisted he bit
- 23:54Speaker 1: me for fun. He apologized to her when police showed up.
- 24:01Speaker 9: I feel like this is a Scooby Doo episode and
- 24:04Speaker 9: they're gonna He's gonna pull his mask off, and it's
- 24:06Speaker 9: Gary Busey.
- 24:10Speaker 2: That would have taken the arm off trade. Yeah, nothing left,
- 24:17Speaker 2: that would have been a clean cut.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, think about it, a little equip zambando.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Who would you rather be bitten by Gary Busey or Jaws?
- 24:27Speaker 1: I mean, at least I think I think Jaws, because
- 24:29Speaker 1: Jaws might get you one clean snap. Gary may enjoy
- 24:32Speaker 1: you a little more.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Apparently he is known for rough housing. Uh, and
- 24:43Speaker 2: that's why he was upset. He's like, I didn't realize
- 24:45Speaker 2: I had bit down that hard. She didn't file a
- 24:47Speaker 2: police report, but they took like they took a video
- 24:50Speaker 2: of the confrontation, which I thought, she's.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Got everything that she needs. If she decides to file charges, uh,
- 24:57Speaker 1: and from all the and we've seen, he'd be you know,
- 25:03Speaker 1: he'd be trying to find a good deal.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Understand the man is I think, Yeah, I understand. He's
- 25:11Speaker 1: seventy eight years old. And sometimes we give old people
- 25:14Speaker 1: passes for things because maybe they just don't know that,
- 25:17Speaker 1: you know, times have changed. But even as a seventy
- 25:20Speaker 1: eight year old man, you should know don't bite people.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's seventy eight. I'm like, you know, he
- 25:29Speaker 2: maybe there's some early you know on set, like dementia
- 25:31Speaker 2: stuff happening. Maybe there's a you know, that generation they
- 25:36Speaker 2: saw war h there. I mean, there are different versions
- 25:41Speaker 2: of rough housing, and yeah.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I guess, but it's still just just you know, yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 1: it's it's sad to say it, but as part of
- 25:49Speaker 1: the rules when you go to these fan conventions, you
- 25:51Speaker 1: have to start telling the stars. You have to put
- 25:53Speaker 1: up little signs and say, don't bite.
- 25:55Speaker 2: People, don't feed this one bites.
- 26:00Speaker 1: That's probably a good thing to have next to them
- 26:02Speaker 1: on the table. So if you are the fan and
- 26:05Speaker 1: you go to the table, you need to know that
- 26:07Speaker 1: this one. This one's a bier.
- 26:10Speaker 2: They have him behind glass.
- 26:14Speaker 1: You have star paddocks at the fan conventions.
- 26:18Speaker 9: Or they just make him take his dentures out.
- 26:27Speaker 4: You're in the tree House.

- 27:59Speaker 1: Brought to you by proud sponsors Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration,
- 28:05Speaker 1: three Coin this new Tray's new company Island Style Weddings
- 28:10Speaker 1: and one oh three point five the ex Brown Wood Rocks.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Thank you to all of our outstanding sponsors of the
- 28:15Speaker 1: Treehouse fund Sunday Funday road Show. This is the Treehouse Show.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm Danny's trade. That's raj Today is Monday, June thirtieth,
- 28:22Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. Turning
- 28:33Speaker 1: forty today the Big Four to oh Michael Phelps. Michael Phelps,
- 28:38Speaker 1: the most decorated Olympian of all time, turns forty years
- 28:42Speaker 1: old today. He has won a total of twenty eight
- 28:45Speaker 1: Olympic medals, twenty three of those gold. This is one
- 28:50Speaker 1: of those things where I'm not going to say it's unfair.
- 28:53Speaker 1: It's just an altogether different sport swimming. When you can
- 29:00Speaker 1: medal in multiple events in swimming in a span of
- 29:05Speaker 1: two weeks, versus say someone who only does one sport
- 29:10Speaker 1: and they only have one event in it. Like, if
- 29:14Speaker 1: you're a shot putter, that's it, that's your event. It's
- 29:17Speaker 1: not like shotput of five pounds, ten pounds, twenty pounds
- 29:20Speaker 1: and you've got opportunities for multiple medals. No, you have
- 29:23Speaker 1: one chance. You have one shot at a medal. The swimmers, though,
- 29:28Speaker 1: did they walk out of the Olympic village just looking
- 29:31Speaker 1: like a World War two general? They look like patent
- 29:33Speaker 1: just covered in metals. And meanwhile the shot bird like
- 29:36Speaker 1: I got one.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the that's the sad part too, because if
- 29:43Speaker 2: you have that one you know, the one sport that
- 29:45Speaker 2: you're in, and you have that one attempt and you fail,
- 29:49Speaker 2: you spent four years to not get anything. That's that's
- 29:54Speaker 2: got to be so disheartening. As opposed to like the
- 29:57Speaker 2: swimmers like you know what, Yeah, I didn't get one
- 29:58Speaker 2: hundred meters free, so I'll do the three yeah, or
- 30:01Speaker 2: I'll do the bat yeah, so.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Or like how like like in swimming, a certain stroke,
- 30:06Speaker 1: you might be in the event, but it may not
- 30:08Speaker 1: be your specialty. Like you might be in the breaststroke,
- 30:12Speaker 1: but that may not be your specialty. Maybe your specialties
- 30:14Speaker 1: the backstroke.
- 30:15Speaker 9: Yeah yeah, or you were just unfortunate enough to come
- 30:20Speaker 9: along around where you know, Michael Phelps or Katie Ldecki
- 30:23Speaker 9: and uh, you got skunked, And.
- 30:27Speaker 1: That might actually be worse. It's like, yeah, you thought
- 30:29Speaker 1: you were really really good. Here you were this kid
- 30:32Speaker 1: from Latvia who was swimming laps around all the other
- 30:34Speaker 1: kids in the puddles, and you make it to the
- 30:37Speaker 1: actual Olympics and unfortunately the guy in the lane next
- 30:41Speaker 1: to you is the greatest of all leffing time.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like when you have like the basketball teams,
- 30:47Speaker 2: when you like I was performing in India and I
- 30:50Speaker 2: met two guys that played on the Indian national team
- 30:52Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, I mean, you guys got
- 30:54Speaker 2: to be I mean rock stars here. It's going to
- 30:56Speaker 2: be so unfortunate what happens to you in a couple
- 30:58Speaker 2: of months. And then when you come back and people
- 31:01Speaker 2: have to watch you go up against the US. So
- 31:04Speaker 2: when you come back, you might not be that rock
- 31:06Speaker 2: star anymore. It's gonna be it's gonna be a little
- 31:09Speaker 2: sad for you.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It's gonna be ugly.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:12Speaker 1: The good news is you're gonna be on lots of
- 31:14Speaker 1: posters that you're not gonna be the one doing the
- 31:22Speaker 1: fun stuff.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah, some of those teams. You watch it with the
- 31:25Speaker 2: with the with the basketball, it's like it's like watching
- 31:27Speaker 2: the Washington Generals and the Harlem Globetrotters, Like is this real?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Whats happening?
- 31:31Speaker 1: It really is, although I think the Washington Generals have
- 31:34Speaker 1: a better win percentage than the rest of the world
- 31:38Speaker 1: does against the NBA dream teams from the United States.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Other birthdays today Lizzie Kaplan. She is forty three today.
- 31:48Speaker 1: She played Virginia Johnson on Masters of Sex, Marlena on Cloverfield,
- 31:52Speaker 1: and lou La May in the Now You See Me movies.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Lizzie Kapa very very, very talented actress. Rick Gonzalez, who
- 31:59Speaker 1: played Renee Slash wild Dog on c w's Arrow Comic
- 32:04Speaker 1: Book TV show. He is forty six today. Madus Yahoo
- 32:08Speaker 1: is also forty six. Molly Parker, who played Maureen Robinson
- 32:12Speaker 1: on the Netflix version of Lost in Space, is fifty three.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Monica Potter is fifty four. She played Christina Braverman on Parenthood,
- 32:18Speaker 1: Larie Colson on Boston Legal. Most people recognize her as
- 32:22Speaker 1: the Blonde, not Julia Roberts. She was in Patch, Adams
- 32:26Speaker 1: and Saw as well as Along Cane a spider Brian.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Bloom, what's up, con Air?
- 32:34Speaker 1: That's right, she was also Nick Cage's wife, and con
- 32:36Speaker 1: Air put the Bunnett down. That may be honest to God,
- 32:43Speaker 1: thank you for bringing that up, Raj. Con Air might
- 32:46Speaker 1: be the goat of good bad movies. Yes, because that
- 32:51Speaker 1: movie is so terrible. Yes, but because it's so terrible,
- 32:57Speaker 1: it's amazing.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Steve was she me stole that show.
- 33:02Speaker 1: It was a great cast. I mean, seriously, think about it.
- 33:05Speaker 1: You got Nick Cage, Monica Potter, Steve Bushimi, Danny Trejo.
- 33:11Speaker 1: You got the guy that played I think it's Michael T.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Washington who played Forrest Gump's buddy and Forrest Gump he
- 33:17Speaker 1: was also in this film. He was Nick Cage's buddy.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Like he's the one that needed like the insulin or something.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Yes, it was a diabetic Yeah. And then John Malcolvich.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Yeah, John Malcovich. I mean it's a phenomenal cast. Yes,
- 33:31Speaker 1: John Cusack, John Cusack playing in one of possibly his
- 33:36Speaker 1: most challenging roles, a Us Marshall. That movie is so
- 33:42Speaker 1: so terrible, it's it might be one of my favorite
- 33:45Speaker 1: bad good movies.
- 33:46Speaker 3: I think you just have to say it's starring Nick Cage.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Nick Cage, but with like an ultra mullet, because I
- 33:53Speaker 1: mean that has some long, gross hair.
- 33:57Speaker 2: And here's why it was that almost exactly right. So
- 34:00Speaker 2: when you see him doing the upside down push ups,
- 34:02Speaker 2: he was doing that because he was supposed to be
- 34:05Speaker 2: the Superman reboot. So that's why he's all jacked in
- 34:08Speaker 2: that movie. As he was working out for the Superman
- 34:12Speaker 2: remake while they were making this, and I think they
- 34:14Speaker 2: saw this and like, we need to find a new Superman.
- 34:17Speaker 2: We can't. And then Michael T. Washington is my favorite
- 34:20Speaker 2: thing about him is in the eighties he was Michael T.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Washington and then they said his name so fast and
- 34:26Speaker 2: all the pros or just they just turned it into
- 34:28Speaker 2: Michael T. So that's how you fellow, his name is
- 34:31Speaker 2: Michael T. That's a that's unfortunate.
- 34:34Speaker 3: That is a that's really got to be a blow
- 34:38Speaker 3: to Nick Cage.
- 34:39Speaker 9: The fact that the DC Universe, as flawed and tragic
- 34:43Speaker 9: as it's been, still was smart enough to go, no.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Can you put the outfit on? Yeah, we're gonna pass.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Why did we even get to this stage and the
- 34:56Speaker 1: production process as soon as you said, all right, hear
- 34:58Speaker 1: me out. Nick Cage is superman. You should have said
- 35:00Speaker 1: we're out.

- 35:31Speaker 1: It is time to advertise inside the Treehouse. Sponsorship opportunities
- 35:35Speaker 1: are available if you're interested. To shoot us an email
- 35:38Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. Excuse me, that's
- 35:41Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com to advertise right
- 35:45Speaker 1: here inside the Treehouse. All right, bear with me on
- 35:50Speaker 1: this story because it's a doozy. All right, here we go.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Police in Davenport, Florida, got a call about a break
- 35:57Speaker 1: in at a home from the homeowner's neighbor who was
- 36:01Speaker 1: watching the house while they were away. The neighbor said
- 36:05Speaker 1: they saw lights turn on and off inside, so police
- 36:09Speaker 1: showed up to check it out. What they found was
- 36:12Speaker 1: very interesting. They found a man making dinner. He'd also
- 36:17Speaker 1: just filling up the bathtub for a nice warm bath.
- 36:20Speaker 1: So why was he there? Well, he did admit that
- 36:23Speaker 1: he did not have permission to be there, and he
- 36:26Speaker 1: also did not know the owners. The reason why it
- 36:29Speaker 1: was the reason why he was there. He didn't want
- 36:32Speaker 1: to go home because he and his wife, because he
- 36:35Speaker 1: and his wife had just had a huge fight four
- 36:38Speaker 1: days earlier. This is a great example of how not
- 36:45Speaker 1: to avoid your wife after a fight. He didn't want
- 36:49Speaker 1: to go home so bad he broke into someone else's
- 36:53Speaker 1: house and lived there for four days instead of going home.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Wow, when when it's not bad, you prefer, you prefer
- 37:03Speaker 2: jail over your own home.
- 37:05Speaker 1: That's this has happened. Yeah, Like there was I forget
- 37:09Speaker 1: how long ago, but there was a story about a
- 37:11Speaker 1: man who was in prison and he was set to
- 37:14Speaker 1: be paroled, and he didn't want to leave because that
- 37:17Speaker 1: would have meant going home to his wife. So he
- 37:19Speaker 1: committed some other crime while in prison, so he would
- 37:22Speaker 1: then have to stay longer.
- 37:25Speaker 4: Uh.
- 37:25Speaker 1: You know what the judge did at sentencing sent him
- 37:28Speaker 1: a home they sent it he sentenced him to house arrest. Actually,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I think he may have it wrong. I think this
- 37:37Speaker 1: guy was in prison before then he got out, and
- 37:39Speaker 1: then he committed a crime because he wanted to go
- 37:40Speaker 1: back to prison to get away from his wife, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: the judge sentenced him to house arrest. That is cold.
- 37:46Speaker 2: And then shortly after that homicide and like almost a
- 37:50Speaker 2: murder suicide.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a dangerous game by that judge. You're willing
- 37:56Speaker 1: to break the law to go to prison to get
- 37:59Speaker 1: away from your wife. So I'm going to see you're
- 38:03Speaker 1: crazy and raise you so crazy and say I send
- 38:06Speaker 1: it to you to house arrest. My goodness. Anyway, this
- 38:12Speaker 1: man who did not want to go home and be
- 38:15Speaker 1: with his angry wife, he's now facing multiple charges, including
- 38:18Speaker 1: a felony for unarmed burglary. No word on whether his
- 38:22Speaker 1: wife bailed him out or you know, if they're still together.
- 38:27Speaker 9: I mean that that'd be funny if the wife did
- 38:30Speaker 9: bail him out.
- 38:33Speaker 2: But isn't that just like a misdemeanor breaking an entering?
- 38:37Speaker 1: No, this is I don't know how the breaking and
- 38:39Speaker 1: entering versus burglary happens. I don't know if it's because
- 38:43Speaker 1: since he lived there for four days, he used some
- 38:45Speaker 1: of their stuff and that's what amounts to burglary, whereas
- 38:49Speaker 1: if you just break and enter and then leave, that's
- 38:53Speaker 1: a smaller thing. I don't I don't know how those
- 38:55Speaker 1: degrees work.
- 38:57Speaker 9: Well, I know with a lot because of squatters, they
- 38:59Speaker 9: have changed a lot of the laws and so a
- 39:02Speaker 9: lot of now breaking entering is a felony, uh, in
- 39:06Speaker 9: order to make it easier to get squatters out.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I think in l A Yeah, in LA like that,
- 39:13Speaker 2: that's your house now there four days you can you
- 39:17Speaker 2: can keep staying. I think that's some weird.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, there are some soft rights laws in LA. Yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 1: there are some soft cities and soft municipalities and in
- 39:25Speaker 1: some cases soft states when it comes to squatters. Uh
- 39:29Speaker 1: So if you if you're going to go out of
- 39:31Speaker 1: town for a while, you definitely need to make sure
- 39:33Speaker 1: you have someone watching your house. The thing that this
- 39:35Speaker 1: story does not have, and this is again, this is
- 39:38Speaker 1: this is why journalism needs to do better. When there
- 39:44Speaker 1: is a man that gets into a fight with his
- 39:47Speaker 1: wife so bad that instead of going home, he leaves
- 39:51Speaker 1: breaks into somebody else's house that lives there for four days,
- 39:56Speaker 1: we need to know what the fight was about and
- 40:03Speaker 1: who said what to whom, so then we can decide
- 40:06Speaker 1: was it justified or not? Because that's journalism one oh one,
- 40:13Speaker 1: it's who, what, when, where, how? And why? The why
- 40:19Speaker 1: is the story. Everything else sets the stage. Without the why,
- 40:25Speaker 1: we're just left wondering and have no idea. We need
- 40:27Speaker 1: to know why this guy did not want to go home.
- 40:31Speaker 3: It's the Sea.
