- 0:14Speaker 2: is here.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome Little Veda in this Bitch.
- 0:16Speaker 2: What's up man?
- 0:17Speaker 1: What's the deal?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Bro? Well, I was just having this conversation with our buddy.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I don't know if you know you know Gabe. See,
- 0:24Speaker 2: he's blast DJ. He used to be a Power one six.
- 0:26Speaker 2: He's uh DJ's on a serious.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I might have heard of him.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Uh, but we're talking about like la rap. Right, let's
- 0:33Speaker 2: say southern California hip hop if you will. And uh,
- 0:37Speaker 2: it's been a drought. The only thing in the last
- 0:40Speaker 2: year that's popped is you and three and old.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Baby yeah three shout out to him.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And it's uh is the I mean you've you've kind
- 0:50Speaker 2: of like figured out this, uh, this formula of yours.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I want to get into it. But first of all,
- 0:55Speaker 2: before we do that, like give me kind of some
- 0:56Speaker 2: of your background. What part of cal are you from? Uh?
- 1:00Speaker 2: How long you've been rapping me? Give me the whole
- 1:01Speaker 2: rundown show. Shit, I'm from south central La. Me I'm
- 1:04Speaker 2: twenty eight. I've been moving around all throughout LA, like
- 1:08Speaker 2: my whole life, like since I was a baby. I
- 1:11Speaker 2: don't know if you're familiar with all the streets, but
- 1:13Speaker 2: I grew up on third ave of exposition, moved from
- 1:16Speaker 2: there to like forty eighth and second half, efty, fourth
- 1:19Speaker 2: and third out just like you were moving around.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Moving around like every three or four years. My whole life,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I was moving, but just all throughout LA. I went
- 1:26Speaker 1: to Tom Bradley in elementary, I went to Pond's Middle
- 1:29Speaker 1: School in uh Cuver City, and then I graduated high
- 1:32Speaker 1: school at Dorsey High School.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, that's what's up? Yeah, And so what about
- 1:36Speaker 2: like because I barely maybe heard of you maybe about
- 1:40Speaker 2: a year ago. Now you're I think him Beezy came
- 1:44Speaker 2: up here where he was supposed to come up here,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but his manager was here, and I think he manages
- 1:47Speaker 2: you too, or he did, yeah he did yep. And
- 1:50Speaker 2: he was like Yolo Vada and I was like I
- 1:51Speaker 2: keep hearing that, and you were getting booked in Arizona
- 1:54Speaker 2: like little spots. Who the fuck is this guy on me?
- 1:57Speaker 2: And I'm not, I mean, I'm on TikTok. You go
- 2:00Speaker 2: to my TikTok page. Check out my content. But I'm
- 2:02Speaker 2: not on TikTok like that. Yeah, I'm not swiping and oh,
- 2:06Speaker 2: what's this song on this?
- 2:07Speaker 1: You know?
- 2:07Speaker 2: But you're going crazy on TikTok and shit, But how long?
- 2:10Speaker 2: Like what's the music journey like for you?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Like? Man, I really I've been doing music since twenty
- 2:16Speaker 1: seventeen for real, but I didn't take it serious till
- 2:20Speaker 1: twenty twenty. That's when I really put my foot on
- 2:22Speaker 1: the gas and started getting on around the city. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: had this song called Gangsters and Wretcht and I have
- 2:28Speaker 1: put like four artists on it, like as Bad, Chef
- 2:31Speaker 1: Boy Killer, a Front Fanatics. Then I got Roocie on it,
- 2:35Speaker 1: so I can't yeah, shout out Roucie. I came off
- 2:37Speaker 1: the rip trying to like be on some like unity
- 2:39Speaker 1: right unit, bring everybody together, and I made like a
- 2:42Speaker 1: banger and for the whole first minute of the song
- 2:45Speaker 1: is just me gassing probably like I think like thirty
- 2:47Speaker 1: two bards or something. And then everybody else got like
- 2:49Speaker 1: a sixteen And that's what got me buzzing in the
- 2:52Speaker 1: city for real in twenty twenty. And then I didn't
- 2:56Speaker 1: blow up for real for real until wap it came out, right,
- 2:59Speaker 1: That's what changed everything for me, changed my life. But
- 3:02Speaker 1: that was just a year ago. That wasn't long ago. No,
- 3:04Speaker 1: that was just a year ago. Before that, I was
- 3:06Speaker 1: still working nine to five?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Where was your last nine?
- 3:09Speaker 1: Last line of five? Uh? Stizzy? I worked Stizzy warehouse
- 3:13Speaker 1: dispensary at the warehouse.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Though Steezy, you know they don't sponsors.
- 3:17Speaker 1: They reached out once, right, Yeah, that was just like
- 3:20Speaker 1: a little over a year ago probably, Like so.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You were like just like helping with the like the package.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, packaging everything, putting the labels on, shit like that.
- 3:29Speaker 1: My last job on me just in twenty twenty two.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Like at the end, that's fire. Do you still get
- 3:34Speaker 2: like Stizzy? Like if you need to know, No.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I don't really go there like that. I don't really
- 3:38Speaker 1: smoke like that big smoke. Nah. I just stopped drinking too.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Oh good for you for the new year.
- 3:43Speaker 2: What inspired you to stop drinking?
- 3:45Speaker 1: Just I'll be going too crazy? Yeah, I'm a shot
- 3:48Speaker 1: of clock every five minutes type of.
- 3:50Speaker 2: And you're in the club a lot because you get
- 3:51Speaker 2: booked in all the clubs.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Now, I've been booked all year.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So what was your like drink of choice, tequila, I'm assuming.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, for Cosa Migos red everybody off the Casa always.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I just wonder when the tequila era is gonna end.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I don't think it's ever going in.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Because it went from like the Henny era, so Rock
- 4:11Speaker 2: had to run us white boys had Fireball for a
- 4:14Speaker 2: little bit.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I never now it tasted that.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Fire hose fire. What I was off that ship for
- 4:21Speaker 2: like eight years of my life. That's crazy, but but
- 4:25Speaker 2: it's it's one hundred percent. The pandemic created the tequila wave,
- 4:29Speaker 2: think so oh yeah, because everybody was getting the d
- 4:32Speaker 2: D and then they were able to go get that
- 4:34Speaker 2: in the nineteen forty the nineteen forty two and the
- 4:36Speaker 2: fucking Colossa zool and then Costa Migos just blew the
- 4:40Speaker 2: fuck up in the pandemic. So now everyone drinks tequila,
- 4:43Speaker 2: which is probably the best liquor health wise you could drink. Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 2: I mean, it's all bullshit. It's liquor. But if you
- 4:50Speaker 2: had to pick.
- 4:50Speaker 1: One, definitely gonna be.
- 4:52Speaker 2: That's what's up? You have f cancer on your face?
- 4:55Speaker 2: What inspired that?
- 4:56Speaker 1: I lost my dad to cancer in twenty sixteen. Oh,
- 4:59Speaker 1: Damn what kind of can pancreatic and then it wind
- 5:02Speaker 1: up spread into his liver like later.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That's tough. That's tough, man.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's what pretty much inspired me to even
- 5:08Speaker 1: wrap for like tell my story and shit like that.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's dope too, because you know, when we think of
- 5:14Speaker 2: like LA hip hop, a lot of people who don't
- 5:17Speaker 2: live here or who just kind of perceive whatever LA
- 5:20Speaker 2: hip hop or the scene is like here. I feel
- 5:23Speaker 2: like sometimes they think of negativity first because of some
- 5:26Speaker 2: of the politics, some of the gang stuff that happens here.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But like, right, you know, I think back to like
- 5:31Speaker 2: rewind to like two thousand and eleven, twelve, even twenty ten,
- 5:37Speaker 2: the party music that was getting made you know, like
- 5:39Speaker 2: YG even before that with the jerk movement, and you
- 5:43Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. So it's dope to see like
- 5:45Speaker 2: like the stuff we're talking about, like it's fun, it's
- 5:49Speaker 2: party music, right, you know what I mean?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Like not definitely that uh, that wave like those years
- 5:54Speaker 1: that you just mentioned at all, that's inspired my whole
- 5:57Speaker 1: career and like you see the samples I'll be doing
- 5:58Speaker 1: to be like a lot of songs from back then.
- 6:00Speaker 1: That's when I was like in high school and going
- 6:02Speaker 1: to the little clubs and ship you feel me here
- 6:04Speaker 1: on YG Joe Moses tied out a sign all those
- 6:07Speaker 1: I just I'm trying to bring back that type of energy.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Just it's missing, feel me.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It's definitely missing.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It's missing in general in music.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, for show for show, like mostly out here though.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I know, like no especially here, but just in general,
- 6:19Speaker 2: Like I'm thinking, like damn, like the club records that
- 6:22Speaker 2: I could play that are current, that are between like
- 6:26Speaker 2: ninety five bpms and like one ten, it's just it's
- 6:31Speaker 2: really your ship and three one oh baby, that's current.
- 6:33Speaker 2: There's nothing else that's true. There's nothing else I don't
- 6:36Speaker 2: even funk with.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Under like like one ten no more. I'm should be
- 6:40Speaker 1: like one twelve.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And no, your ship's up there. Yeah crazy, I gotta
- 6:44Speaker 2: beat match. So I'm curious. When I heard your stuff,
- 6:51Speaker 2: I was like, there's no way any of these samples
- 6:53Speaker 2: are clear.
- 6:56Speaker 1: They are now. They are now, but they weren't for
- 7:00Speaker 1: a while. Yeah, nah, hell no, because I was like, damn, yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 2: This is motherfuckers. He's just running.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you feel me. I was just I didn't really
- 7:10Speaker 1: know much about the business part of the music industry.
- 7:13Speaker 1: When I was coming up, I was just young, hungry,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and like I said, that era of twenty eleven, twenty twelve,
- 7:19Speaker 1: YG and all that, I was like in love with
- 7:23Speaker 1: that that era of music. So I just wanted to
- 7:25Speaker 1: like put my own taste on those beats. So when
- 7:28Speaker 1: I was coming up, you know, I didn't know nothing
- 7:30Speaker 1: about clearance samples or anything. That I was just I
- 7:33Speaker 1: hear a remix, I turned that motherfucker on and guess up.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And then once I started catching some steam and I'm like, okay,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I got to learn the business side, right. But that's
- 7:41Speaker 1: when I started getting lawyers and you feel me?
- 7:43Speaker 2: And why isn't it say, like did anybody anybody hit you? Like,
- 7:46Speaker 2: does Tiger reach out to you and be like, hey bro,
- 7:49Speaker 2: this is cool, but like I'm gonna need my bag.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Tiger definitely reach out to me, and I don't know
- 7:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna need my back. Shit. It was more on
- 7:55Speaker 1: some let me help on remixed type shit.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, I don't know what happened, but that's
- 8:00Speaker 2: the thing. It's like, yeah, get on the remix so
- 8:02Speaker 2: then we can actually clear it.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Right, got to have it. But I don't know, like
- 8:06Speaker 1: I feel like all the artists that that's coming up
- 8:09Speaker 1: right now is getting remixes with much more ease. I
- 8:11Speaker 1: don't know if you notice that, but like like three
- 8:14Speaker 1: ten Baby like Boom, he got like five popping, crazy
- 8:17Speaker 1: ass artists on the remix, and I feel I haven't
- 8:20Speaker 1: had that opportunity yet to.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Just I think it's gonna happen. I think, so who
- 8:24Speaker 2: I think, I think. I think a lot of it
- 8:28Speaker 2: is like, well one like Soolk City. Solk City is
- 8:31Speaker 2: a fucking big record. It's huge, huge record. And I
- 8:35Speaker 2: think that you know, uh that his team is he's
- 8:41Speaker 2: got a good team run. Yeah, for sure, he does
- 8:43Speaker 2: have a great team of rush. Shout out to my guy, Gentry.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I don't know what your team's like, so I can't
- 8:48Speaker 2: speak to your team.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Well, I'm independent for sure. I just got a manager,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you feel me.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Recently you just got a new manager because you told
- 8:56Speaker 2: me you had your old manager.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I have to get rid of that situation. But
- 8:59Speaker 1: I do have a new man now. But I'm still independent,
- 9:01Speaker 1: like I don't have to.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Is your is your stuff just straight? Just ro kid?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Oh ship? So how hard is it too clear? These
- 9:08Speaker 2: big records after they're already out.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Well, it just depends on who you know for real.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Because okay, what songs all together if you sampled so far.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Ship because it's a lot as far all right, So
- 9:20Speaker 1: as far as like after I got on wop It,
- 9:24Speaker 1: Eat It Up Up, that's another one sample I sample
- 9:28Speaker 1: lean back Well, you know the song is, yeah, Rex City,
- 9:32Speaker 1: you feel me lean back up to me?
- 9:35Speaker 2: The toughest was the toughest. Is the toughest one to
- 9:37Speaker 2: clear usher? Yes, it has to be.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the toughest one. We got it all
- 9:42Speaker 1: taken care of now, but that was definitely because that's
- 9:45Speaker 1: a that's a mega hit, right.
- 9:46Speaker 2: There's like one of the biggest songs ever.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Me And that's that's one that I was like, I
- 9:51Speaker 1: didn't touch it like them there. I think it was
- 9:54Speaker 1: like four years into my career that I wanted to
- 9:57Speaker 1: do it. I'm like, damn, I want to do yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but I'm like, that's too big of a hit. Let
- 10:01Speaker 1: me let me chill on that one. As soon as
- 10:03Speaker 1: I did it, wop It took off.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Damn me.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's like, damn, it'd be like that though, Like songs
- 10:10Speaker 1: that I that I want to do, like Rack city.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I want to do that beat years ago. I'm like,
- 10:15Speaker 1: let me just hold on to it. I gotta do
- 10:16Speaker 1: something special.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So do you have a producer that knows how to
- 10:19Speaker 2: speed up the ship the way you like it?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, I'm like them. My producer shout out load
- 10:24Speaker 1: of great uh scumming Uno. And then my engineer he
- 10:28Speaker 1: also producer, his name Marv. He makes a lot of I.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Say, for what you do, an engineer really can just
- 10:32Speaker 2: do it?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, just my engineer, all right, So drums under it
- 10:40Speaker 1: all the beats that I got that y'all hearing it
- 10:43Speaker 1: don't sound like that when a producer send it to me.
- 10:45Speaker 1: It sounds like some whole other ship.
- 10:46Speaker 2: The engineer got to put his hands on here. Yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 2: which is producing? Yeah for sure, definitely. Yeah, it's interesting
- 10:53Speaker 2: because I liked it. I like it because what you're
- 10:56Speaker 2: doing is it is it's just a new taste. It's fun,
- 11:01Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Right?
- 11:03Speaker 2: And is there is is have you decided? Have you
- 11:07Speaker 2: have you fucked around with doing anything not that isn't sample? Basic?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm about the I'm about the turn of my
- 11:13Speaker 1: album actually today how.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Much of it is samples? How much of it is
- 11:17Speaker 2: because you're kind of known for that.
- 11:18Speaker 1: The only samples are the songs that y'all heard already.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Oh nice.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Like same bpm range though it's like that you're that's
- 11:24Speaker 2: your bag.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm versatile. I got a whole different range that people
- 11:27Speaker 1: don't even know about. That's why I haven't been doing
- 11:29Speaker 1: any interviews because I really been one people to just
- 11:34Speaker 1: hear a different side of me first. You feel me
- 11:36Speaker 1: right now? Everybody think I'm just the club guy. I
- 11:38Speaker 1: got all these type of turn up bangers, which I do,
- 11:41Speaker 1: but I got a whole nother side to me. So
- 11:42Speaker 1: now that I'm about to put this project out, I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: open to like doing interviews, you know, just so people
- 11:47Speaker 1: could get a different side of me. First.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Well you you obviously you alluded to being fully independent
- 11:52Speaker 2: like that can't be. Uh, everyone's got to be on
- 11:55Speaker 2: your line though. I mean maybe not everybody, but a
- 11:57Speaker 2: lot of people are banging.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Their line I'm sure since the beginning.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So what has been the reason why you haven't try
- 12:03Speaker 2: to go with a label yet?
- 12:05Speaker 1: I feel like I haven't reached my full potential yet.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because you're whatever deal you're saying, right, now
- 12:10Speaker 2: they're going to fuck you in some capacity. I mean,
- 12:13Speaker 2: I don't want to use the word fuck you, but
- 12:15Speaker 2: but they might have the leverage you could. You could
- 12:18Speaker 2: put this album out, build up a lot more leverage,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and then come back to the table and get a
- 12:22Speaker 2: much better deal properly. Yeah, definitely, that's crazy. Man. It's
- 12:27Speaker 2: wild too, because man, I feel like, you know, there's
- 12:31Speaker 2: been so many dope LA artists that I'm going to
- 12:38Speaker 2: tell you this, be careful because sometimes I've seen this
- 12:42Speaker 2: happen where people will overthink themselves out of being bigger
- 12:50Speaker 2: because they want to stay independent a little longer.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I see what you're saying.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I've seen this happen, and I mean some of the
- 12:57Speaker 2: bigger LA names ever had a really big record. I'm
- 13:01Speaker 2: not talking about recently. I'm talking about Le's say, the
- 13:03Speaker 2: last ten or twelve years. I had opportunities to take
- 13:06Speaker 2: deals and like maybe elevate things to another level and
- 13:09Speaker 2: we're like, nah, not yet. So just be careful with that,
- 13:12Speaker 2: you know, because you never know. If the album comes
- 13:15Speaker 2: out and it doesn't do what you hope it does,
- 13:19Speaker 2: then it can hurt you with your talks.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Nobody noticed, but I'm putting my album out through a
- 13:22Speaker 1: distribution coming.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Oh you're doing distro, yeah, Empire not create, oh create
- 13:26Speaker 2: shouts to create creates doing that thing. Yeah, yeah, that's
- 13:29Speaker 2: a good creates. You want to partner like that, you
- 13:31Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, somebody who's will give me some
- 13:33Speaker 2: label services but not fucking exactly.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yes, Oh yeah, that's the way to go right there
- 13:38Speaker 1: for sure.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah that's smart. So I'm excited to hear what you guys.
- 13:41Speaker 2: So is there any remixes being worked on? Uh?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a lot of h I got a
- 13:46Speaker 1: lot of remixes on the way. I'm just I've just
- 13:49Speaker 1: been saving everything for real, Yeah, just getting ready like
- 13:52Speaker 1: for the album.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Have you had like like a good experience with some
- 13:56Speaker 2: of the OG's on the LA side of hip hop
- 13:59Speaker 2: in terms, because you there's no way everyone's in the
- 14:01Speaker 2: club here. They all are at fucking uh you know
- 14:06Speaker 2: the clubs they're they're all Dragonfly, They're all at Kingpin Monday's,
- 14:10Speaker 2: They're all here in your records, so they know your ship.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Has it been a positive experience with any of these guys,
- 14:18Speaker 2: anybody reached out like you said, Hey, I don't know
- 14:21Speaker 2: how I you know, like you mentioned earlier like three
- 14:24Speaker 2: one old Babies got five of these. He got mustard,
- 14:27Speaker 2: blue Bucks, fucking blue face all on the remix.
- 14:30Speaker 1: But honestly, I feel like, uh, I'm been having good
- 14:35Speaker 1: and bad experiences. I'll say more bad than good for sure.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Like a lot of people reach out to me. I'm
- 14:43Speaker 1: not gonna throw them names out there, but niggas will
- 14:45Speaker 1: reach out and be like, fuck with what you're doing
- 14:47Speaker 1: with your movement, let's do something. And I'm in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: studio night, I'm at the studio right now. What you're
- 14:54Speaker 1: trying to do. I'll never hear from them again. Wow ever,
- 15:00Speaker 1: And it just kind of make me feel like, damn,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Like is it because I'm only doing remixes?
- 15:06Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Maybe they don't. Maybe they don't think the
- 15:08Speaker 2: record will get cleared. That might be it.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Maybe, but I got that side handled though, well now
- 15:15Speaker 1: they know, Yeah, we'll see. Maybe they fuck with me now.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Nah. I mean either way though, that's that's that's dishing
- 15:21Speaker 2: genuine though, Like, don't reach out to me if like
- 15:23Speaker 2: we can't go get in and cut.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Some I'm really but I'm really like from the slum,
- 15:28Speaker 1: like I'm from La You feel me? So to get
- 15:32Speaker 1: hit up by these people that I looked up to.
- 15:34Speaker 2: It's a big deal.
- 15:35Speaker 1: It's a big deal to me, Like I don't I
- 15:37Speaker 1: don't like Hollywood about it or nothing. I'll take that
- 15:40Speaker 1: ship to heart. When I first started blowing up off
- 15:44Speaker 1: a whop It and Tiger DM me, I cried, I'm
- 15:47Speaker 1: not even gonna lie.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I cried because that was my first not because it
- 15:51Speaker 1: was Tiger. It was just like, but that was my
- 15:53Speaker 1: first time getting uh, getting notoriety from somebody.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Big, and that reaffirms that you're on the right path exactly.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about this at the very beginning of January.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Whip people up. In December, I lick at my phone.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I wake up from a nap when my son I
- 16:06Speaker 1: look up Tiger wop It remix. I'm like, what the fuck?
- 16:11Speaker 1: I show my mom. I started screaming. I couldn't believe it.
- 16:13Speaker 1: That's so far because that's a moment that could change
- 16:15Speaker 1: somebody life yet.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Now, because I mean, even if nothing comes from that,
- 16:18Speaker 2: it's like, well shit, if Tiger saw it and fucked
- 16:21Speaker 2: with us, that means I'm on the right path exactly.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I'm sure you've had other dms like that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a shitload of him, But I'm saying
- 16:28Speaker 1: that that first one, like that's what really got me
- 16:30Speaker 1: emotion them for real. But I'm just saying like, throughout
- 16:34Speaker 1: this process and this path that I've been on, I've
- 16:36Speaker 1: run into a lot of situations like that, Like people
- 16:38Speaker 1: will tap in with me and speak positive and then
- 16:41Speaker 1: I'll never hear from you.
- 16:42Speaker 2: What about the guys who you do hear from, who
- 16:44Speaker 2: you have had positive experiences with? Who are they? Man?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Shout out Tied Dallas Sign. That's like he's the best.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I fucking love Tight all the Sign. I owe him everything.
- 16:53Speaker 2: He's actually one of the more like genuine good human
- 16:58Speaker 2: beings I've known him in twenty ten eleven. Yeah, and uh,
- 17:06Speaker 2: I mean he just invited me out to Vegas and
- 17:09Speaker 2: I was hanging out with him and his daughter and
- 17:12Speaker 2: we were chilling with Kanye all night. He literally was like, man,
- 17:15Speaker 2: come out, Kanye, and I was like the coolest night
- 17:21Speaker 2: of my life, to be honest, I'm like in a
- 17:22Speaker 2: room with like, I mean, you know, I'm there with Tie,
- 17:26Speaker 2: but Kanye is there, and fucking.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Legends Tiger's there and she's there, and yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 2: A little Dirk was there uh Kid Cuddy was there.
- 17:37Speaker 2: This is the album, This was in the fuck at
- 17:40Speaker 2: the at the Four Seasons in Vegas and Kanye's Sweet.
- 17:44Speaker 2: They were finishing the album and then it turned into
- 17:46Speaker 2: like a party and then somehow India Love started cutting vocal.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It was so ready, Bro, it was and I'm shrewed
- 17:53Speaker 2: the fuck out and I'm.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Like this, I can't fuck with the Strongs. Bro.

- 17:59Speaker 2: you say Ti, Ti is the greatest shot shout out
- 18:02Speaker 2: the time. Also one of the most talented human beings
- 18:04Speaker 2: to ever do anything.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Yes, legend, Yes, Tye YG for sure. Definitely fuck with
- 18:11Speaker 1: each other Wiz which is great man. Wi's got a
- 18:14Speaker 1: real good relationship.

- 18:20Speaker 1: la artist that was on before me, Like I want

- 18:27Speaker 2: man Yeah with him, Yeah, Oh, gonna have a long
- 18:30Speaker 2: career man because he's a good dude.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Man. Definitely men next four, I got a real good relationship.

- 18:43Speaker 1: You got the real good sight of him.
- 18:45Speaker 2: He was so funny and then like he saw I went,
- 18:47Speaker 2: He saw I went hog hunting in Texas with that
- 18:49Speaker 2: Mexicano T D D M. He's like, we gotta go

- 18:55Speaker 2: for real, let's do it. I was like, let's go hunting,
- 18:58Speaker 2: like free x four free him. Man, he's got he's
- 19:01Speaker 2: gonna have if he can get his ship together, He's
- 19:04Speaker 2: got a bright future most definitely. Oh yeah, damn yeah,
- 19:08Speaker 2: you know. I want to hear you want a song
- 19:09Speaker 2: on Blue Face though.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we got a song together.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I haven't heard it.
- 19:13Speaker 1: It cut, though nobody knows about it.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I want to hear that that's on the way blue
- 19:17Speaker 2: Faces again. Cool dude. A lot of people say what
- 19:20Speaker 2: I want about blue Face. He's master on the internet.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Though he has mastered the Internet. Man, It's crazy. It's
- 19:28Speaker 2: really like, since six ' nine, no one has figured
- 19:32Speaker 2: out the Internet better than him.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I think so.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, in terms of just like I'm not talking about
- 19:37Speaker 2: anything and whatever you feel about sixth nine, when he was.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Hot, he had the internet Internet on smash.
- 19:45Speaker 2: He bro, he broke Man. I interviewed his baby mama
- 19:48Speaker 2: and him six months ago, and I thought it was
- 19:51Speaker 2: a joke and the Lightweight was a joke. It was
- 19:54Speaker 2: like baby Mama music. And she put out the Stewie
- 19:57Speaker 2: song and I told her to her face her music
- 20:00Speaker 2: sucked and she got to deal with Columbia Records. God
- 20:05Speaker 2: in heaven, Bro, who else can do that?
- 20:07Speaker 1: But I don't think they even believed it was gonna
- 20:10Speaker 1: be on that level, like when they first start, they didn't.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But the Barbie record is hot, crazy, and it's like,
- 20:18Speaker 2: who else could do that?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Bro, that's insane.
- 20:21Speaker 2: This is his son's and this is kid's mom. And
- 20:24Speaker 2: he was like, you know what, I'm gonna show y'all,
- 20:27Speaker 2: it ain't about her, It's about me, and I'm gonna
- 20:28Speaker 2: put her on right. It's crazy. Shut out to the
- 20:32Speaker 2: boothface man for your album is because because you're also
- 20:37Speaker 2: like I feel like you do make party music, but
- 20:39Speaker 2: like you could tell in these records that you could
- 20:40Speaker 2: really wrap for real. We're gonna get a lot of
- 20:43Speaker 2: bars on this project.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Hell yeah, I'm spilling my heart out on this motherfucker.
- 20:47Speaker 2: That's dope, man, because I do feel like like, even
- 20:50Speaker 2: though these are party records, I could hear it. This
- 20:53Speaker 2: foe could snap.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you hear you hear the cans? Is there crazy?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Any features on the album?
- 20:59Speaker 1: Oh Death, blue Face, crazy Ones, blue Face not on it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: But I got some. I got some big features. I'm
- 21:05Speaker 1: not gonna say right now. I'm turning it in today.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I got some big like global.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Like shop Dog I got you said global?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Damn, they're on that level though, Whiz.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Maybe it's definitely Wize, that's global on that level. Ever
- 21:21Speaker 2: know it's Wiz. What's on the album? He didn't say. No,
- 21:28Speaker 2: what's the album coming out?
- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm pushing for later this month, but I'm gonna get
- 21:34Speaker 1: the release of Day and Everything today.
- 21:36Speaker 2: What is your favorite? Because you've been getting booked at
- 21:39Speaker 2: these clubs and I don't want you to run into
- 21:42Speaker 2: the same problem I've seen guys. I'll even say A D.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Who's my brother, so he knows I can I can
- 21:48Speaker 2: speak about a day like this. When A D was out,
- 21:52Speaker 2: he did so many clubs that I feel like it
- 21:57Speaker 2: kind of burnt his brand out a little. I don't
- 22:01Speaker 2: think you're doing that yet. Yeah, but is that something
- 22:04Speaker 2: you're aware of?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Most definitely? I just had this conversation with one of
- 22:07Speaker 1: my homies. He like, I need to become more exclusive
- 22:11Speaker 1: because since I just blew up last year, only been
- 22:13Speaker 1: a year, that's how I've been getting money something.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how you're supporting yourself because you're not getting
- 22:18Speaker 2: because also, I mean, the streams ain't paying.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Like that ship a lot of streams man.
- 22:22Speaker 2: But but you, for example, if you if you go
- 22:26Speaker 2: and pick up a five bands from a club, that's
- 22:28Speaker 2: like a one point one million streams on Spotify because
- 22:31Speaker 2: the streams thirty what you mean stream thirty million stream
- 22:35Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. So like you could go,
- 22:37Speaker 2: like I was looking at ship like streaming numbers, like
- 22:39Speaker 2: all right, we if you can go do this party
- 22:40Speaker 2: and get three million dollars or three million streams worth
- 22:43Speaker 2: of money real quick? What the fuck?
- 22:45Speaker 1: Right?
- 22:46Speaker 2: But you also, like you said, like you gotta be
- 22:47Speaker 2: careful because I said with a D when Ad had juice,
- 22:49Speaker 2: that motherfucker.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Was every man.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Oh god, I remember that he lived in the club. Yeah,
- 22:54Speaker 2: And I don't know if it hurt him or I
- 22:55Speaker 2: mean him and I have talked about it, so I
- 22:57Speaker 2: think I think it hurt him a little though.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it can hurt you. I just started turning down
- 23:02Speaker 1: bookings like for like maybe like in the last three
- 23:05Speaker 1: or four months.
- 23:05Speaker 2: And I mean, look to be fair of the LA
- 23:07Speaker 2: club scene isn't what it was before the pandemic.
- 23:10Speaker 1: What trust me.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I know RP to playhouse. But it's still a thing,
- 23:17Speaker 2: but it's not like what it was. It's not but
- 23:20Speaker 2: like you can still go hit Scottsdale and Arizona is
- 23:24Speaker 2: my spot. Yeah, you get booked in Arizona.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I'm out there, like I've been out there like more
- 23:28Speaker 1: than any.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's pretty crazy. I remember we were talking like early
- 23:32Speaker 2: on when you were bubbling you know my club group
- 23:36Speaker 2: check is I own a club out there? And uh
- 23:39Speaker 2: my boy was like yo, we could do a little Veda.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Somebody replying there like I saw this motherfucker at a
- 23:45Speaker 2: brunch of club who collabed the same weekend.
- 23:49Speaker 1: When I go to Arizona, I'll run it up. I'll
- 23:51Speaker 1: be everywhere. Yeah, brunch House eleven eleven pretty please, Airbnb parties,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you know.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a vibe man over for sure. Anything else
- 24:01Speaker 2: you're working on or anything else you want to talk about, man.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Uh shit, I'm working on my clothing line. My f cancer.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Oh no, Yeah, I'm trying to set up something on
- 24:09Speaker 1: my album where percentage of the proceeds that I make
- 24:13Speaker 1: to go towards like a cancer organization.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Make sure it's like one that, Like I feel like
- 24:18Speaker 2: some of the bigger ones, there's so much bureaucracy wrapped
- 24:21Speaker 2: up and like where the money goes.
- 24:22Speaker 1: It's a lot. Yeah, you always got to worry about that,
- 24:24Speaker 1: but it's coming from a genuine place from me.
- 24:27Speaker 2: No, that's amazing for me.
- 24:28Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, my clothing line that should be out
- 24:31Speaker 1: like around when my album come out. Trying to set
- 24:33Speaker 1: up everything. Shit, just be ready for my album. It's
- 24:36Speaker 1: gonna be sixteen songs, twelve of them gonna be brand new,
- 24:40Speaker 1: a lot of hot features, a lot of styles that
- 24:42Speaker 1: y'all never heard from me before.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Not to end the interview on a somber note, but
- 24:49Speaker 2: obviously that you know you're losing your dad to cancer
- 24:51Speaker 2: is a big deal to you, a big deal to
- 24:53Speaker 2: anybody who for you. What would be some advice if
- 24:57Speaker 2: someone lost a parent, What would be the vice you
- 25:00Speaker 2: would give to them? How to cope, how to more
- 25:02Speaker 2: and how to get through it, how to get on
- 25:03Speaker 2: the other side of it, you know.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oh well, first let me explain to you how it
- 25:08Speaker 1: even happened. First, So pretty much twenty sixteen, I was
- 25:13Speaker 1: working at FedEx, just to work at the warehouse at
- 25:16Speaker 1: Lax and you know, when he first got diagnosed with it,
- 25:22Speaker 1: that shit hurt, you feel me. But he was taking
- 25:26Speaker 1: all the precautions to get rid of it, like everything
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm talking about to a t. Everything wake up at
- 25:33Speaker 1: this time, take this, you feel me. Coffee, enemas, salads,
- 25:37Speaker 1: like everything.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Everything.
- 25:38Speaker 1: So he got rid of it. He got rid of
- 25:41Speaker 1: the pancreatic cancer, and he got rid of it for
- 25:43Speaker 1: about two months. Then he came to my house one day.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He was like I came back to his livery though.
- 25:50Speaker 1: So I'm like, damn, here this go again. So after
- 25:53Speaker 1: that happened, I'm working, I'm working. You know, he's still
- 25:57Speaker 1: doing the shit he can't. My mom came to my
- 26:00Speaker 1: job at FedEx. My mom don't go nowhere, like she
- 26:05Speaker 1: literally don't leave the house. So when my manager like
- 26:08Speaker 1: my mommy, I'm like, what the fuck, I'll rested the front.
- 26:11Speaker 1: She's like, oh, they gave him two months. I'm like, wow, damn, yeah,
- 26:15Speaker 1: that shit hit different. I left the job you feel
- 26:18Speaker 1: me crying all type of shit. And then after that day,
- 26:23Speaker 1: it was about two weeks. It was about two weeks.
- 26:27Speaker 1: My stepmam wind up calling me from the hospital. She's like, yes,
- 26:29Speaker 1: that time, So I rush up there. When I got there,
- 26:33Speaker 1: he taking like like a breath, like every forty five
- 26:38Speaker 1: seconds or thirty seconds, barely hanging on. So what a
- 26:42Speaker 1: lot of people don't know is I actually got to
- 26:43Speaker 1: see my dad take his last breath.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Yeah, like literally the last one. Her whole family standing
- 26:49Speaker 1: over room like trying to touch him a little bit,
- 26:51Speaker 1: like make sure he stay up. And once he took
- 26:53Speaker 1: that last one, he was out. So that right there,
- 26:56Speaker 1: like seeing that was so detrimental to me. That what
- 27:00Speaker 1: sparked like me to even do music. You feel me
- 27:03Speaker 1: so me like growing up and even being able to
- 27:05Speaker 1: sit right here with you is like like whoa. It's
- 27:08Speaker 1: like a real testament to my journey. Like I can't
- 27:10Speaker 1: even believe I'm here.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You're lucky to have been there with him. No, definitely
- 27:14Speaker 2: right because because I had it both ways. So my
- 27:17Speaker 2: grandpa when he passed away, I was holding his hand.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Well yeah, and I was. It was me and my
- 27:22Speaker 2: cousin in the room with him because he was in
- 27:24Speaker 2: hospice and they knew he was gonna die, so they
- 27:26Speaker 2: brought him back to my family's house. So I was
- 27:29Speaker 2: holding his hand literally while he died. So I felt,
- 27:33Speaker 2: I don't want to say I felt good about it,
- 27:34Speaker 2: but I felt like at peace with it.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 2: During COVID, my grandma died of COVID in a nursing
- 27:41Speaker 2: home and they wouldn't let us be with her because
- 27:43Speaker 2: of COVID, so she died alone. That shit fucked me
- 27:48Speaker 2: up because you're like, damn, like we wanted to be there,
- 27:51Speaker 2: but this COVID bullshit, they wouldn't let anybody in the
- 27:54Speaker 2: nursing home. So my grandma passed away by herself. We
- 27:56Speaker 2: don't know what she was thinking. We don't know nothing.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, You're You're lucky to have
- 28:01Speaker 2: been with you.
- 28:02Speaker 1: For sure. I don't take that for granted at that moment,
- 28:05Speaker 1: just like that's like a real you know, I hope
- 28:08Speaker 1: that ship.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Right here, Like nah, that s dope is a part
- 28:10Speaker 2: of your mission now, definitely.
- 28:11Speaker 1: But as far as advice, I would say, if you
- 28:15Speaker 1: lost anyone, you feel me for anybody that lost someone,
- 28:18Speaker 1: Find something to not take your mind off of it,
- 28:21Speaker 1: because nothing gonna take your mon.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Pour the pain into something.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Into something that's exact something for sure, some productive.
- 28:27Speaker 2: You can pour it into something negative exactly, you know.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Pour in something positive. You feel me, find something if
- 28:35Speaker 1: it's going to the gym, whatever, you feel me, find
- 28:38Speaker 1: something that's gonna feel you and like make you put
- 28:41Speaker 1: on for your person you lost.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Well, you've done a good job.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Man, appreciate you.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Salute on the success. I look forward to hearing the album.
- 28:49Speaker 2: And you got an everything album.
- 28:51Speaker 1: King of Ratch you Ratchet.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we've been missing in l A, y'all.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna stamp that.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna make Joe, Moses and YG and everybody proud.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I got he Oh hell yeah. And I'll be doing
- 29:06Speaker 1: shows with Joe, Moses and all that. We got a
- 29:07Speaker 1: show on much fourth now.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Joe's the greatest, and he's such a nice guy, and
- 29:11Speaker 2: he's like a real o G. And he got a
- 29:13Speaker 2: hot record right now. He's got. Joe's good for like
- 29:18Speaker 2: every three or four years, just a.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Joint outside of something crazy for sure, Joe Man that
- 29:24Speaker 1: remix on the way too.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Oh ship there it is man lit Vader, I appreciate
- 29:27Speaker 2: you pulling up brother Sirch
- 29:29Speaker 1: That you for having
