- 0:18media brand Centennial World. Welcome back to mini scroll
- 0:23everyone. OK, I have no immediate updates
- 0:25for you guys, but as always, Please remember to rate, review
- 0:29and subscribe. Please Spotify star rate US.
- 0:31We're trying to get to 1000 Spotify star ratings by the end
- 0:34of the year, and I really hope you guys liked our deep dive on
- 0:37Friday. So far.
- 0:38We've had some amazing feedback on it.
- 0:41It was, as you can imagine, a labor of love for the team here.
- 0:46It was a huge undertaking, but we're really proud of the
- 0:49episode. So please go watch it, like it,
- 0:53share it if you guys enjoyed it. OK, the first story that I have
- 0:56for you guys is that Chase Stokes has posted a very cryptic
- 1:00message following his split from Kelsey Ballerini.
- 1:04So Chase Stokes and Kelsey Ballerini started dating in 2023
- 1:08after Chase the split from Outer Banks Co star Madeline Klein and
- 1:11Kelsey's divorce from Morgan Evans Back in September of this
- 1:16year, however, a source told Us Weekly that the two had split
- 1:19quote. It was a hard split.
- 1:21They've been arguing a lot recently and their communication
- 1:24wasn't great in the last month. They were both traveling so much
- 1:27and trying to juggle everything and the arguments piled up is
- 1:30what the source said. However, one month later, the
- 1:34two of them were spotted holding hands together in Croatia.
- 1:37So everyone's like, OK, I guess they're back together.
- 1:40But now over the weekend, Chase put their rocky relationship on
- 1:43blast when he posted an Instagram story saying this
- 1:47don't believe the media I'm blocked.
- 1:49I did nothing wrong. Sorry heart I tried that is
- 1:54giving a red flag this message. This post is so cringe.
- 2:01Like don't believe the media. Sorry I tried like I can't.
- 2:05It's giving like Sookie manchild, OK, sorry to the
- 2:10stands. I know he has a lot of stands
- 2:11and I'm kind of scared. So something that overshadowed
- 2:14their relationship this whole time was Chase's former
- 2:18relationship with Madeline Klein because fans of Outer Banks were
- 2:21introduced to them as a couple. Their characters played a couple
- 2:24on TV and no one really got over their relationship is the point.
- 2:29And it seems like it's possible that the fans shipping Chase and
- 2:32Madeline could have contributed to his split from Kelsey.
- 2:36Because just a few days before he posted that Instagram story
- 2:39that has made me cringe. Kelsey released a new EP called
- 2:42Mount Pleasant and she teased the music in a TikTok promo.
- 2:46And in this TikTok promo, fans started flooding her comment
- 2:50section questioning if one of the songs was about Madeline.
- 2:53Klein and Chase commented on this teaser video writing.
- 2:57These comments are fucking weird.
- 2:59Grow up as into the fans. So yes, while I do think his
- 3:03Instagram story is a big red flag and super cringe and
- 3:07embarrassing, I also understand that fans have been so
- 3:11parasocial about Chase and Madeleine.
- 3:13And that would be very challenging on any relationship.
- 3:17And it would just be challenging even if you weren't in a
- 3:19relationship and people were constantly standing you and your
- 3:22ex and you're like, I'm trying to move on.
- 3:23Like they still have to work together.
- 3:25Although I also saw when I was researching for this story that
- 3:28fans think that he's actually leaving the show because he's
- 3:31like, over the show. He's over the fan craze around
- 3:34them. He just, like, needs to move on.
- 3:37So that'll be interesting to see if that's what happens.
- 3:39But yeah, he seems burnt out from the fans.
- 3:41OK, the next story that I have for you guys is the Queen of
- 3:46Rich talk. Becca Bloom is facing backlash
- 3:48after she made a video talking about gender equality and the
- 3:51patriarchy. So Becca Bloom has been going
- 3:54viral all week after she posted a video talking about how men
- 3:58don't understand certain things about equality.
- 4:01Basically, she was criticizing the patriarchy.
- 4:03Here's. What men don't understand about
- 4:05equality. You think equality means
- 4:07splitting the bill? Women live in a society where
- 4:09equality has never existed in the 1st place.
- 4:12Women still only make 80% of what a man makes for the same
- 4:15full time job. So when you ask for a 5050 date,
- 4:17know that her 50% cost more of her income than it does yours.
- 4:21Second of all, women pay more just to exist in the dating
- 4:24world, About $400.00 a month just on grooming and beauty.
- 4:27And that's not because they want to spend more.
- 4:28It's because they're held to the beauty standards that men built
- 4:31and judge them. By OK, so her point is not
- 4:33wrong, right? Valid points were made, however
- 4:37she was immediately met with criticism because if you didn't
- 4:40know, Becca Bloom is wealthy. Wealthy Like billionaire level
- 4:44wealthy. At least her family is.
- 4:46So her video talking about equality, even though it is
- 4:49gender equality, still it falls a bit flat when her entire brand
- 4:54is built off of showing off this opulent lifestyle that she has.
- 4:57And I think the backlash would have just been left to Becca's
- 5:01TikTok comment section and it would have died down really
- 5:04quickly if she had not started responding because that's what's
- 5:07happened. And now it has turned into this
- 5:10full blown saga. So in response to one comment
- 5:13who wrote, I will not be lectured on equality by this
- 5:15billionaire, not now, not ever, Becca responded.
- 5:18When someone can't challenge the point, they challenge the
- 5:21existence of the person who made it.
- 5:23Thanks for the case study. And then user bridge on film,
- 5:27under score pointed out that Becca's parents are tech
- 5:29entrepreneurs, writing that she should have her, quote,
- 5:32billionaire family distribute their wealth.
- 5:34And then Becca responded saying, if you knew even a fraction
- 5:37about me or my family, that question wouldn't have made it
- 5:40out of your drafts. And for clarity, TikTok auto
- 5:43filters users with a history of hostility or cyber bullying.
- 5:46Your comment hit itself. So this user actually used
- 5:51Becca's comment and used it in a response video.
- 5:53So here's what she said. Becca Bloom commented on my
- 5:55TikTok, which is great. I want discourse because she
- 5:58posted a video talking about equality.
- 6:00And I just think the elephant in the room is that you're a
- 6:02billionaire. So what do you know about
- 6:04equality? All I commented saying was that,
- 6:06hey, can we have the same energy for equality and talk about
- 6:10redistributing your billionaire family's wealth.
- 6:12And apparently that's a cyberbullying comment.
- 6:14Now this has kicked off a conversation around rich talk
- 6:18and our voyeurism and also what would motivate ultra wealthy
- 6:23people to post online at all. The main theories for why Becca
- 6:27specifically posts online when she comes from like this
- 6:29billionaire family is because fame and validation is not
- 6:33something that money can buy. And then some believe it's
- 6:35possible she has plans to launch a brand.
- 6:37So she's been playing the long game like building a following.
- 6:41So she has a built in customer base when she does launch
- 6:43whatever she wants to launch. So here are some takes.
- 6:46This one is from Saron Things, not.
- 6:48Saying that she shouldn't be a content creator.
- 6:51I'm saying from where I stand, the scrutiny of being a content
- 6:55creator is more trouble than it's worth for her.
- 6:58There is no financial windfall to be had.
- 7:01She seems to have a full robust social life, many friends, a
- 7:06great relationship with her family, a thriving career loving
- 7:10fiance who is obsessed with her. Like what does this provide her
- 7:14other than people being all up in her business?
- 7:17And privacy to people like her I imagine is invaluable.
- 7:23It's worth a lot more than anything that she could possibly
- 7:27gain from being on. This app, this one's from
- 7:30Princess Paul. Let's listen to what she just
- 7:33said. She's saying that until society
- 7:35becomes equal we shouldn't cherry pick equality.
- 7:39And she uses an example where she is basically weaponizing
- 7:43feminism because for her viewpoint she's thinking that
- 7:47splitting the bill, having a man pay for your lifestyle even
- 7:52though let's be real, your family is rich enough to pay for
- 7:55your own. It's really just symbolic
- 7:56between your relationship. It's ironic that the billionaire
- 7:59or multi millionaire or extremely rich person is saying
- 8:03that until society is statistically equal, money is
- 8:07the biggest root of all the problems that exists in the
- 8:10world. Poverty is probably the biggest
- 8:12problem that exists in the world.
- 8:15You talking about feminism is you cherry picking an example in
- 8:21which case you do not have to contribute that much.
- 8:25You do not have to self examine in yourself.
- 8:28Why are you so triggered when people bring up your family's
- 8:32wealth in this comment you can read she responds, you know,
- 8:36kind of tongue in cheek Starkey. It's kind of the her response to
- 8:39all these videos that are talking about like, if you
- 8:42actually quit care about equality, you would work to give
- 8:46your money away. You would work to actually
- 8:47improve economic situations for people because let's be real,
- 8:51there's no ethical way to become a billionaire.
- 8:53So I think in general, Becca's video and her response to the
- 8:56criticism, you know, she seems genuinely surprised by this
- 9:00response. I think that this is a prime
- 9:03example of why we need intersectionality because like I
- 9:07said, sure her points about patriarchy were valid.
- 9:11I fear they should be common sense, but I understand they are
- 9:14not, especially in certain circles.
- 9:15OK. However, it doesn't land at all
- 9:18when she fails to acknowledge where she personally sits in the
- 9:23social hierarchy. And something positive that I
- 9:25think we could take away from the situation is that now
- 9:29there's this mass discussion online about the romanticization
- 9:33of wealthy creators. Like the fact that we have
- 9:35sayings like rich talk and you know, rich people who rich
- 9:39right? Like you literally can't go on
- 9:41TikTok talk without seeing people use those phrases.
- 9:43It's constantly online. And while I don't think that we
- 9:47will ever stop being obsessed with watching the lifestyles of
- 9:50the rich and famous like I am case in point, I fucking love
- 9:54housewives. Like I love all that kind of
- 9:56stuff. OK.
- 9:57I think it hits different when it's a creator.
- 9:59Like I actually think there is a difference there and I think
- 10:02it's more of a psychological thing from the viewers
- 10:05perspective. However, I think it is important
- 10:08for us whether we will continue to consume this content and like
- 10:12it or not, to be aware of what we're being exposed to and why
- 10:16we should not be romanticizing this.
- 10:19And I do think there's really great conversations about that
- 10:22coming out of this situation. OK, the next story that I have
- 10:25for you guys is Aspen Ovard has seemingly confirmed her
- 10:28girlfriend's identity as Bree Davis.
- 10:31So we all know that OG lifestyle YouTube Aspen Ovard has been
- 10:34going through a very public divorce and basically like a
- 10:37personal rebrand in the process. She's been teasing that she has
- 10:41a girlfriend for about 8 months and since she started teasing
- 10:45this, fans were digging things up.
- 10:46The rumor started that Aspen was dating this girl named Brie who
- 10:50was married and Aspen is in like an open relationship throuple
- 10:54with this couple. So Brie has been married to her
- 10:57husband since apparently 9th grade.
- 10:59And anyways, all of this was very much rumors until this
- 11:02weekend when Aspen and Brie posted content together with
- 11:05each other's full face in the videos.
- 11:08Some fans thought it was just for views.
- 11:10But then one commenter wrote, honestly, going from married so
- 11:14young to a man amongst Mormon culture to dating a married
- 11:17woman is a fucking vibe and I'm here for it.
- 11:20And Aspen liked that comment. So people are like, OK, is that
- 11:23confirmation that all of the rumors about her dating a
- 11:26married woman and being in this, you know, possible open
- 11:29relationship throuple situation is true?
- 11:31I do think Aspen feeds in to the cloud that she gets for this
- 11:35rebrand and for this, this new era of her life.
- 11:37But also like, why shouldn't she?
- 11:39Like whatever, you know what I mean?
- 11:40She's put her whole life online and we know her divorce has been
- 11:43really traumatizing and it's been a really hard past couple
- 11:46of years for her. So you know what, she's having
- 11:47fun, she's getting views and she's getting paid for those
- 11:50views. Speaking of getting paid for
- 11:52views, I unfortunately have one last story about the Manosphere,
- 11:57A manosphere podcast, which is definitely all for views based
- 12:01on this story. So Manosphere podcaster Andrew
- 12:04Wilson is being put on blast for his hypocrisy after a clip from
- 12:08a podcast that he was on has gone viral.
- 12:11Been a minute since we've talked about the Manosphere, but here
- 12:14we are. Andrew Wilson is a Manosphere
- 12:15right wing commentator. He's the host of The Crucible,
- 12:19which is a debate show, and he is also a frequent guest on the
- 12:23What whatever podcast. I'm sure you guys have seen
- 12:25clips of the whatever podcast come up for you.
- 12:28It's the one that has like the white background with the giant
- 12:31ass whatever, you know, in black and white like over and over and
- 12:34over again in the background. That is like how I recognize it.
- 12:37And they do the classic viral like debate feminists embarrass
- 12:41women type of shit. OK, so on November 9th, an
- 12:45episode of the podcast was published where Andrew debated A
- 12:48leftist feminist named Charlie who predominantly dates women.
- 12:52And a clip from the segment is going so viral and it's sparking
- 12:55tons of think pieces about how this seems to really expose the
- 12:59hypocrisy from these right wing alpha male podcast Bros.
- 13:03The clip was from a segment of the podcast where they were
- 13:06trying to challenge or convince each other of their worldviews.
- 13:10And here is how it went. I will never be able to convince
- 13:14you of my worldview, you all I know.
- 13:17But the reason is not because I'm not a great orator, or I
- 13:21don't make good points, or I haven't said things which should
- 13:24be compelling to a person. But Charlie, I just think,
- 13:27honestly, you're too fucking stupid to understand them.
- 13:30So, Andrew, can I sell you on my worldview?
- 13:33Yes. Your wife has three baby daddies
- 13:36and has been married twice before, and you under and you.
- 13:40Lick you lick snizz under. Your religion.
- 13:43You lick snizz. What is that?
- 13:44You're a fucking don't talk shit about my wife, you stupid.
- 13:47Shut your fucking mouth. Shut your stupid mouth.
- 13:51Your wife with the three babies. What did I just say?
- 13:53Wife. With the three sorry doll, I'm
- 13:55sorry 'cause she morally inconsequential in comparison to
- 13:58your ditch licking. There's also a part of the
- 13:59episode where Andrew calls his wife to get her to like,
- 14:03basically help defend him against Charlie.
- 14:07And I fear that is an indication that you have lost the debate,
- 14:12Sir. OK, so first of all, everyone's
- 14:14like, what the fuck is this? Like we know what he was trying
- 14:17to say there, but like, who uses that term?
- 14:20What are you talking about, Snizz?
- 14:22What the fuck is that term? OK second of all, this just goes
- 14:26to show how much of A grift all of this shit is.
- 14:31The manosphere is a grift. These men who are preaching the
- 14:34concept of high value women, the importance of a traditional
- 14:38family unit, being the leader of the house, like all this shit,
- 14:42it's all for money. They don't actually practice
- 14:45what they preach in their real lives.
- 14:47It's to make money off of the insecurities of vulnerable young
- 14:51men. So Charlie has actually
- 14:53responded to this going viral. And here's what she said.
- 14:56I am the Snizz Liquor. The Snizzler, if you will.
- 15:00This video is making the rounds again on Instagram and Twitter,
- 15:02so I just wanted to clarify a few things.
- 15:04I don't take any issue with Andrew Wilson's wife having
- 15:08three baby daddies and having been married multiple times
- 15:10before. I don't think it's immoral.
- 15:13I'm a feminist. What I do take issue with is the
- 15:16fact that Andrew Wilson built his platform off of shaming and
- 15:19humiliating women for their past sexual conduct.
- 15:21If Andrew Wilson met a woman like his wife with three baby
- 15:25daddies on the Whatever podcast, he would shame her, call her a
- 15:29hoe, and tell her she's damaged goods and essentially unlovable
- 15:32like he's done to many women before in the past.
- 15:34What I want people to take away from this clip is not that
- 15:37Andrew Wilson is a cuck or that Rachel Wilson is a hoe.
- 15:41I want people to understand that they are hypocrites.
- 15:44And you know, one of my favorite parts about this story is that,
- 15:46like, everyone is basically on the same page.
- 15:48If you look at this podcast, like, think about who subscribed
- 15:51to this podcast, OK, On YouTube, for example.
- 15:53If you look at the comments section on this podcast, all of
- 15:56the top comments are just like, making fun of this dude for
- 15:59being a hypocrite. It's iconic that the whole
- 16:01Internet is like, wow, what a loser.
- 16:03He's so hysterical, he's freaking out.
- 16:06He couldn't even let her finish. I can't.
- 16:08This is why men should actually not be leaders.
- 16:10They're too emotional. I've also seen a lot of people
- 16:12say, you'll note that he never calls her a liar because
- 16:14obviously she wasn't lying. And this just exposes him,
- 16:18right? Like his audience, who he knows
- 16:20will be watching this podcast, they probably didn't know this
- 16:24about his personal life because of the way he talks about women
- 16:27and preaches to them about this kind of shit.
- 16:29So the fact that now he's being exposed and he knows that this
- 16:32is going to come out publicly, it's not a good luck.
- 16:35Anyways, guys, that's it for mini scroll today.
- 16:37Thank you so much for listening. I love you guys.
- 16:39Please remember to rate review and subscribe.
- 16:41Please Spotify star rate US share our deep dive from Friday
- 16:46and I will talk to you guys tomorrow.
- 16:48Bye.
