- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, everybody. Welcome to Vince on a Thursday.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It is great to have you with us. What a
- 0:05Speaker 1: great day to be an American. It's always a great
- 0:06Speaker 1: day to be an American. We got a big show
- 0:08Speaker 1: ahead for you. I'm gonna talk about the latest out
- 0:11Speaker 1: of Virginia. I told you yesterday, we're not done yet.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We're not done yet. Despite the election, that crazy election
- 0:19Speaker 1: rigging operation that the left conducted on Tuesday, that is
- 0:22Speaker 1: not the end of the story. In fact, legal battles
- 0:25Speaker 1: raging like crazy in the Commonwealth. And I've got some
- 0:30Speaker 1: updates on some breaking news that just took place in
- 0:32Speaker 1: the last 24 hours. A glimmer of hope here. In fact,
- 0:36Speaker 1: we'll be joined by the former attorney general of the
- 0:40Speaker 1: Commonwealth of Virginia. Ken Cuccinelli is joining us in just minutes.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We'll get his expert analysis on what just happened and
- 0:48Speaker 1: what is likely to happen. He actually has a very
- 0:51Speaker 1: optimistic view of what comes next year. We may be
- 0:53Speaker 1: able to thwart this election rigging operation still. That's ahead
- 0:58Speaker 1: on Friday. The program, also the left, is very, very
- 1:02Speaker 1: angry that the Trump administration is going after the Southern
- 1:06Speaker 1: Poverty Law Center. They're very upset about this, which is hilarious.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I think it means we're over the target. More on
- 1:13Speaker 1: that and a lot to get to here on this
- 1:16Speaker 1: edition of Vince. As always, great to have you with us.
- 1:19Speaker 1: We've got great sponsors on our program. Brickhouse Nutrition is
- 1:22Speaker 1: a fantastic and enduring sponsor of our program. They support
- 1:26Speaker 1: everything we're doing here, and we support them as well.
- 1:28Speaker 1: They've got a great operation. You know, people talk about
- 1:31Speaker 1: those weight loss injections because they're looking for very radical results.
- 1:34Speaker 1: They want to lose a lot of weight. Makes sense.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And here's the thing. The way those injections actually work
- 1:39Speaker 1: is they help to lower your blood sugar and reduce
- 1:41Speaker 1: your appetite. So what if you want to do that?
- 1:44Speaker 1: What if you want to lose the weight, but you
- 1:46Speaker 1: don't want the painful weekly injections, especially when you hear
- 1:49Speaker 1: about some of those side effects? That's why doctors at
- 1:52Speaker 1: Brookhouse Nutrition created a weight loss supplement called Lean. And
- 1:56Speaker 1: the results, they're actually remarkable. The studied ingredients in lean
- 2:00Speaker 1: have been shown to help lower your blood sugar, help
- 2:02Speaker 1: you burn fat by converting it into energy, and help
- 2:05Speaker 1: you curb your appetite and your cravings so you're less hungry.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But listen, lean by Brickast Nutrition is not for the
- 2:10Speaker 1: casual dieter. It's for frustrated dieters with 10 or more
- 2:14Speaker 1: pounds to lose. So let's get you started.

- 2:43Speaker 1: for me.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I love that.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I love that.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Hey, guys. Great to be with you again this morning.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And for those of you who are listening on the podcast,
- 2:52Speaker 1: a reminder that we do this live every day, 8
- 2:54Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning, rumble.com slash Vince. We have this
- 2:58Speaker 1: beautiful audience, truly beautiful. According to all of the audience
- 3:02Speaker 1: measurements that are taken, this is the most gorgeous audience
- 3:06Speaker 1: that assembles at 8 a.m. on Rumble on any given day.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So pat yourselves on the back and wink at yourself
- 3:12Speaker 1: in the mirror when you see yourself again. Yeah, no,
- 3:14Speaker 1: thank you for being here. And thank you to all
- 3:16Speaker 1: of you who watched the show yesterday. I joined Dan
- 3:20Speaker 1: Bongino's program for a bit and it was great. It
- 3:24Speaker 1: was great. We're doing this every other Wednesday. We're doing
- 3:26Speaker 1: this like kind of swap thing where we go back
- 3:28Speaker 1: and forth. Dan will come on my radio show. on
- 3:32Speaker 1: every other Wednesday. And then the alternating Wednesdays, I joined
- 3:35Speaker 1: him on his podcast. It was great. It was great yesterday. Actually,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I felt like that was, did you feel like that
- 3:40Speaker 1: was the best one yet? I felt like that was
- 3:42Speaker 1: the best one yet. As Dan and I were chatting,
- 3:45Speaker 1: we were just kind of running down the kind of
- 3:49Speaker 1: all the, all the prosecutions that have been going on. And,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and I, I was, you know, Dan was saying to
- 3:55Speaker 1: me yesterday, if you missed it, I highly encourage you
- 3:58Speaker 1: to go check it out. I thought it was great.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I thought it was worth your time, which is why
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm recommending it to you. But Dan was talking about
- 4:06Speaker 1: while he was in the FBI, he just couldn't tell
- 4:12Speaker 1: me anything. And he goes, I know that that was
- 4:14Speaker 1: really tough because I really wish I could, but I
- 4:16Speaker 1: couldn't tell you anything about what was happening behind the
- 4:19Speaker 1: scenes because he's bound by duty and the law not to,
- 4:22Speaker 1: of course. And I told him yesterday, I was like, Dan,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm telling you, this was such a source of great
- 4:26Speaker 1: frustration to me I mean, how many of you were
- 4:28Speaker 1: with me during that last year while Dan was at
- 4:32Speaker 1: the FBI? And I'm filling in for his audience. And
- 4:37Speaker 1: people keep on assuming that I've got all the intel.
- 4:39Speaker 1: They're like, well, you know, Dan, what's actually happening? Who's
- 4:42Speaker 1: being arrested? What's going on? I'm telling you, I'm just
- 4:45Speaker 1: divining most of this the same way you're divining this.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I try and talk to people, find out more information.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But again, it was a source of great frustration. And
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's a credit to Dan, by the way, because there's
- 4:54Speaker 1: lots of people who could have entered that world and
- 4:56Speaker 1: then just been just running their mouth all the time.
- 4:58Speaker 1: The guy didn't do that. The guy didn't do that.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And so we see this week in the Southern Poverty
- 5:04Speaker 1: Law Center indictment, kind of the fruits of Dan's labors. Actually,
- 5:07Speaker 1: not kind of, literally the fruits of Dan's labors. We
- 5:10Speaker 1: see what they were investigating and why that, you know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: it was under seal, but now it's all free. Now
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's in the public. A massive indictment announced this week
- 5:20Speaker 1: as the Southern Poverty Law Center gets slapped with 11
- 5:22Speaker 1: charges against And they involve funding KKK guys and neo-Nazis
- 5:29Speaker 1: laundering the money, creating this fraudulent environment where they claim
- 5:33Speaker 1: that they were tackling hate crimes, but instead they were
- 5:37Speaker 1: stoking hate in order to make it seem like they
- 5:40Speaker 1: had some noble mission, something to confront. It's like as
- 5:44Speaker 1: sinister as it gets. It's like one of these sort
- 5:47Speaker 1: of demented Lex Luthor style movie plots. It's crazy. They're
- 5:53Speaker 1: like Batman villains. And here they are at scale causing
- 5:57Speaker 1: all of this fraud. And I noticed, and this came
- 6:00Speaker 1: up in our conversation yesterday, I noticed in October of
- 6:03Speaker 1: last year that the FBI had cut the Southern Poverty
- 6:05Speaker 1: Law Center off entirely. And it was back then that
- 6:09Speaker 1: you had the media accusing the Trump administration of hating
- 6:14Speaker 1: civil rights, being against black people, being against minorities or whatever,
- 6:19Speaker 1: accusing them of bigotry for cutting the Southern Poverty Law
- 6:22Speaker 1: Center off. And I said to Dan, Dan, you cut
- 6:26Speaker 1: them off because they were a criminal enterprise. You knew it.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You couldn't say anything about it. And now the rest
- 6:31Speaker 1: of the world knows about it. It's just an amazing
- 6:35Speaker 1: sequence of events. And it's a reminder that these things,
- 6:39Speaker 1: as frustrating as they are, talk about frustrating, they take time.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The pursuit of justice takes time. If you're going to
- 6:47Speaker 1: do it right, it takes time. What do they say
- 6:50Speaker 1: in the military? Slow is fast. Is that an expression,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you veterans? I feel like that's a shooting expression, right?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Slow is fast. Sometimes in order to do things the
- 7:02Speaker 1: right way, yeah, slow is fast and fast is smooth.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Slow is fast and fast is smooth. Sometimes in order
- 7:09Speaker 1: to do things the right way, it's going to take
- 7:13Speaker 1: some time. It's going to take some time. And so
- 7:17Speaker 1: now we're kind of waiting right now for what comes
- 7:20Speaker 1: next with.
- 7:23Speaker 1: With these guys with the grand conspiracy case down in Florida.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But let me just tell you something about the left.
- 7:30Speaker 1: The left is freaking out right now that we found
- 7:35Speaker 1: the Southern Poverty Law Center. It reminds me of, you
- 7:38Speaker 1: remember when President Trump took down Doge, or not took
- 7:42Speaker 1: down Doge, but advanced Doge, took down USAID, took down
- 7:45Speaker 1: all of this rampant fraudulent funding for NGOs. Remember all this?
- 7:49Speaker 1: You remember the freak out that we saw? You remember
- 7:52Speaker 1: the freakout? The freakout was out of control. You had
- 7:55Speaker 1: members of Congress standing outside of USAID protesting like lunatics
- 8:01Speaker 1: as if the rest of the country was obsessed with USAID.
- 8:06Speaker 1: In fact, I would venture a bet that most of
- 8:08Speaker 1: the country hadn't even really heard of USAID, or if
- 8:11Speaker 1: they had heard of it, they hadn't really put much
- 8:13Speaker 1: thought into what it was. It sounded like some sort of,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know, generic feel-good humanitarian operation. USAID, USAID, it's probably
- 8:20Speaker 1: helping people, whatever. The Democrats were standing outside that building
- 8:25Speaker 1: like it was, like the whole world was collapsing. I
- 8:30Speaker 1: can't believe what Donald Trump is doing. And the rest
- 8:33Speaker 1: of us are going, thank God Donald Trump is doing this. Well,
- 8:37Speaker 1: it's happening again. It's happening again. Yeah, no, that's right.
- 8:41Speaker 1: People are pointing out in the chat, this is how
- 8:42Speaker 1: Tesla's got attacked. This is This is why the left
- 8:47Speaker 1: started leading terror attacks on Tesla dealerships all across the country.
- 8:51Speaker 1: God bless Elon, baby. I mean, Elon Musk. Boy, has
- 8:55Speaker 1: your opinion of Elon Musk changed through the years?
- 8:57Speaker 4: Mine has.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I'm like all on board with Elon now. I think
- 9:01Speaker 1: Elon's great. I think he's been wonderful, man, a Thomas
- 9:04Speaker 1: Edison of our time. But the guy jumps in, he
- 9:06Speaker 1: helps the government out, and he starts purging all of
- 9:09Speaker 1: this wasteful spending. And the left goes crazy. We found...
- 9:15Speaker 1: Their stash. We found their stash. It's like we found
- 9:18Speaker 1: their stack of pornos and they're trying to claim it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: not theirs. It's not mine. It's not mine.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we found them. And we found them again, the
- 9:24Speaker 1: Southern Poverty Law Center. So the structure here of how
- 9:26Speaker 1: the SPLC was moving all this money, no doubt this
- 9:30Speaker 1: is the template for the way the left takes money,
- 9:34Speaker 1: fleeces donors, steals from federal taxpayers in a lot of cases,
- 9:39Speaker 1: and then uses it to advance chaos. This is the template,
- 9:41Speaker 1: what you saw yesterday in the Southern Poverty Law Center
- 9:43Speaker 1: indictment two days ago now. And so that's why they're
- 9:47Speaker 1: freaking out. So all over X today, I'm seeing these
- 9:50Speaker 1: Democrats posting, the Southern Poverty Law Center doesn't deserve this.
- 9:53Speaker 1: How dare you? Donald Trump is doing awful things. This
- 9:55Speaker 1: is so mean. Here's Chuck Schumer whining, whining. about the
- 10:00Speaker 1: Southern Poverty Law Center being prosecuted yesterday. Here's Chuck.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Cut one.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Every day Kash Patel remains in this job is another
- 10:10Speaker 6: day that undermines the FBI and its mission. Take yesterday's
- 10:15Speaker 6: press conference. The head of the FBI, the nation's top
- 10:19Speaker 6: law enforcement officer, spent the entire time getting into fights
- 10:22Speaker 6: with reporters about his alleged drunken behavior, his partying, his
- 10:27Speaker 6: overall fitness for the job. This has become a dangerous,
- 10:31Speaker 6: unacceptable distraction for the FBI, which has so much important
- 10:35Speaker 6: work to do. Donald Trump has led us to war
- 10:39Speaker 6: right now against Iran, a nation known for sophisticated cyber attacks.
- 10:45Speaker 6: Why is Kash Patel not focused on that? Why is
- 10:48Speaker 6: Kash Patel not focused on the serious threats facing his country?
- 10:52Speaker 6: Every day these stories of misconduct persist. They undermine the
- 10:57Speaker 6: mission of the FBI. Every day these questions about Patel,
- 11:01Speaker 6: his behavior, his character linger. They weaken confidence in the
- 11:05Speaker 6: leadership of one of the most important law enforcement agencies
- 11:08Speaker 6: in the world. Kash Patel must resign immediately. He's not
- 11:14Speaker 6: a serious person. He has not shown that he has
- 11:17Speaker 6: the skills required for the job. And the last few
- 11:22Speaker 6: days have shown he does not have the judgment to
- 11:24Speaker 6: lead an agency like the FBI. This is what happens
- 11:28Speaker 6: when Trump just chooses acolytes.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Hilarious.
- 11:31Speaker 6: People who suck up to him for important jobs.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He's so mad.
- 11:35Speaker 6: That shouldn't be any criteria in choosing the head of
- 11:38Speaker 6: the FBI.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Stay mad, dude.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Instead, it seems to be Trump's only criteria, and it
- 11:42Speaker 6: puts him in trouble. It puts him in the hot seat,
- 11:45Speaker 6: in the frying pan. over and over again by choosing
- 11:48Speaker 6: people whose only criteria is loyalty to him. Americans deserve steady,
- 11:54Speaker 6: sober leadership from their FBI director, especially during a time
- 11:58Speaker 6: of war. Kash Patel is not it. And if Kash
- 12:03Speaker 6: Patel wants to keep partying, he can do it somewhere
- 12:07Speaker 6: else without putting the safety of the American people on line.
- 12:12Speaker 1: What a tool. That's just, you mad? You mad? You mad?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Remember that dude who appeared on Bill O'Reilly years ago?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Who was that rapper? He was sitting there. He just
- 12:20Speaker 1: spent the whole interview going, you mad? You mad? Chuck Schumer,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you mad? I love how this guy can't even grill
- 12:27Speaker 1: a cheeseburger. He has no idea what he's talking about. Actually,
- 12:29Speaker 1: all he's doing is the same thing these Democrats always do.
- 12:32Speaker 1: When we catch them, they just advance wrap-up smears. So
- 12:35Speaker 1: now he's like, oh, Kash Patel's an awful person.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Really?
- 12:38Speaker 1: He's an awful person? Because last I checked, they're prosecuting
- 12:41Speaker 1: everybody under the sun. They've got murders down to record lows.
- 12:45Speaker 1: They're stopping the fentanyl inflows. The FBI has joined the
- 12:47Speaker 1: immigration mission to secure our border, which is at the
- 12:49Speaker 1: securest level we've ever seen. And you're whining on the
- 12:52Speaker 1: Senate floor that the SPLC has been taken out, that
- 12:57Speaker 1: somebody's finally cracking down on a left-wing fraudulent operation, a
- 13:01Speaker 1: big one. Just wait until we get to Act Blue.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Watch the freak out that Chuck Schumer is going to
- 13:05Speaker 1: do on that one. It's just amazing. All right, coming up,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about what's happening in Virginia.
- 13:10Speaker 1: We just got breaking news out of Virginia that a
- 13:14Speaker 1: judge has ruled that Tuesday's election rigging operation was unconstitutional.
- 13:21Speaker 1: More on that with Ken Cuccinelli in just a moment.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Bone charge is wonderful. They've got the infrared sauna blanket.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I have it. My wife has. Allison has the red
- 13:28Speaker 1: light face mask. Ever since they sent them to us,
- 13:30Speaker 1: we can't recommend them enough. I first turned to that
- 13:33Speaker 1: sauna blanket to help with muscle recovery. Detoxification has become
- 13:36Speaker 1: a total game changer. It's easy to use. Just wrap
- 13:39Speaker 1: yourself up. Let the infrared heat work its magic. It's
- 13:42Speaker 1: created a huge difference in how I relax and rejuvenate
- 13:44Speaker 1: and how I feel afterward. The red light face mask.
- 13:47Speaker 1: My wife loves it. She's been using it to improve
- 13:49Speaker 1: her skin's texture, reduce inflammation. She's seen fantastic results. It's
- 13:53Speaker 1: like having a mini spa treatment right at home. Now,

- 14:20Speaker 1: All right, happy to have joining us right now the
- 14:23Speaker 1: former Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli. Sir,
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's nice to see you again. Thanks for being here today.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, good to be with you, Vince.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Okay, so we get this ruling out of Tazewell, Virginia,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the Tazewellian devil. This judge comes out and he says,
- 14:39Speaker 1: you know what? This is a completely unconstitutional election that
- 14:44Speaker 1: happened this week. Tell me why.
- 14:46Speaker 3: So first of all, it wasn't done before the referendum
- 14:49Speaker 3: because Virginia legal precedent says that you wait until after.
- 14:53Speaker 3: It's part of the legislative process. This judge moved very quickly.
- 14:57Speaker 3: There are four different state constitutional problems with the referendum, Vince.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Three of them relate to the referendum itself, and one
- 15:07Speaker 3: is just because of how incredibly gerrymandered the proposed maps are.
- 15:12Speaker 3: And this judge had ruled on two of the process
- 15:15Speaker 3: problems earlier, and the Supreme Court held that appeal, like
- 15:22Speaker 3: I said, until after the referendum. So those two issues
- 15:26Speaker 3: are in front of the Virginia Supreme Court. Yesterday, this
- 15:29Speaker 3: judge heard argument and ruled on the third process challenge,
- 15:33Speaker 3: really brazen violation of the state constitution by the Democrat
- 15:37Speaker 3: General Assembly. And because he found them in violation, he
- 15:42Speaker 3: enjoined counting the votes and certifying the election. So it's
- 15:46Speaker 3: frozen in place for now. We'll see if the Virginia
- 15:48Speaker 3: Supreme Court lifts that. But either way, the Virginia Supreme
- 15:52Speaker 3: Court is moving very fast itself. They are receiving briefing
- 15:56Speaker 3: today on those first two issues that I mentioned are
- 16:00Speaker 3: already in front of them with oral arguments scheduled, as
- 16:03Speaker 3: I understand it, for Monday. So this is going to
- 16:06Speaker 3: move very, very quickly. And because of the brazenness of
- 16:10Speaker 3: the constitutional violations, I expect the Supreme Court to throw
- 16:14Speaker 3: this referendum out.
- 16:15Speaker 1: What are the primary constitutional violations here?
- 16:18Speaker 3: So like a lot of states, Virginia has a process
- 16:23Speaker 3: to amend its own constitution that includes passing the amendment
- 16:28Speaker 3: two different times through the General Assembly with an election
- 16:33Speaker 3: in between. Well, The idea being that you get to
- 16:38Speaker 3: hold the delegates accountable before they pass it a second time.
- 16:43Speaker 3: And as you know, of course, because you did a
- 16:45Speaker 3: lot of reporting on it, we had an election in
- 16:48Speaker 3: Virginia last year, 2025. We got our moderate governor, Abigail Spanberger,
- 16:54Speaker 3: and the House of Delegates was up for election as well.
- 16:58Speaker 3: And last time the Democrats had full control back around 2020,
- 17:01Speaker 3: they gave us 45-day elections. And so the election of
- 17:08Speaker 3: 2025 began on September 19th. But the General Assembly didn't
- 17:15Speaker 3: pass the first proposed, it's called first passage, of the
- 17:20Speaker 3: proposed amendment until Halloween last year. Over a million people
- 17:25Speaker 3: had already voted. And they want that election to count
- 17:29Speaker 3: as the intervening election required explicitly in the Virginia Constitution.
- 17:35Speaker 3: And I think they're gonna have a very, very hard
- 17:37Speaker 3: time with that. It is kind of funny to see
- 17:39Speaker 3: them hoisted on their 45-day guard here.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yes, like it's the only time they recognize an individual
- 17:45Speaker 1: election day is when they can steal power.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yes, no, and that's what they're arguing, Vince. They're arguing
- 17:50Speaker 3: the election day is the day we count. That's election day.
- 17:54Speaker 3: It isn't all these days we're voting. Now, their problem
- 17:57Speaker 3: with that is the issue in front of the TAS
- 18:01Speaker 3: will judge yesterday was the second passage of the constitutional amendment,
- 18:08Speaker 3: which happened January 19th of this year. And the same
- 18:13Speaker 3: provision of the state constitution requires 90 days to pass
- 18:18Speaker 3: from the second passage of a proposed amendment until it
- 18:22Speaker 3: is submitted to the voters. That's the language of the
- 18:25Speaker 3: constitutional amendment. And the vote, of course, finished Tuesday, April 21st. Well,
- 18:32Speaker 3: that's 90 days after January 19th. But again, we have
- 18:37Speaker 3: 45 days of voting in Virginia. People started voting on
- 18:40Speaker 3: March 6th. That's when it was submitted to the voters.
- 18:45Speaker 7: Yes.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Again, this is a very brazen violation of the timing requirements.
- 18:49Speaker 3: And it's interesting here because the no side, my side,
- 18:54Speaker 3: really played catch up. We were outspent three or four
- 18:57Speaker 3: to one. But even the money that came in came
- 18:59Speaker 3: in late. And so the no performance really improved near
- 19:05Speaker 3: the end. We won election day. They barely won early
- 19:10Speaker 3: voting by about a point and a half. They won
- 19:12Speaker 3: mail-in voting by something like 45 points.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Even though it was only about 12% of the total votes,
- 19:21Speaker 3: it was such a massive margin that it swamped the
- 19:24Speaker 3: other two categories. And mail voting takes a while to
- 19:29Speaker 3: to bring together for your team. So having late money
- 19:33Speaker 3: keeps you out of that game.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Okay. Tell me, I'm getting a lot of questions about
- 19:38Speaker 1: how the votes were counted on election day. I want
- 19:40Speaker 1: to go just straight to the question of the tally
- 19:43Speaker 1: at the end of the night, because there were, because
- 19:45Speaker 1: people are talking about, well, Northern Virginia suddenly, you know, basically, yes,
- 19:49Speaker 1: caught up dramatically. What are the mechanics there? And is
- 19:52Speaker 1: there any cause for suspicion on your part? What do
- 19:55Speaker 1: you view as the issue there?
- 19:57Speaker 3: The mechanics in Virginia are that the urban areas are
- 20:03Speaker 3: so big that they're very slow to come in. And
- 20:06Speaker 3: that may be partly intentional. There's no question about it.
- 20:09Speaker 3: But so Fairfax always comes in last or not last,
- 20:14Speaker 3: but very late. So you see a shift to the
- 20:17Speaker 3: blue side in every election as the night goes on.
- 20:21Speaker 3: So when I saw that we were the no side
- 20:24Speaker 3: was winning by six points at around 830, I thought, oh,
- 20:29Speaker 3: this isn't enough because I know how those votes come
- 20:32Speaker 3: in later in the night and mail in voting, as
- 20:36Speaker 3: I said. was a 45-point margin in their favor, and
- 20:40Speaker 3: mail votes are allowed to keep coming in for another
- 20:43Speaker 3: till tomorrow, really. So the margin is going to trickle
- 20:48Speaker 3: a little wider. I love it.
- 20:49Speaker 1: They're still coming in. It's so crazy. We're trying to
- 20:53Speaker 1: stop that nonsense. Okay. So tell me about the Supreme
- 20:56Speaker 1: Court of Virginia. How much can we trust their judgment here?
- 20:59Speaker 1: Are they a reliable body?
- 21:01Speaker 3: You know, Vince, I think they are. And It's for
- 21:05Speaker 3: three Republican appointees. They certainly all know they're never getting
- 21:09Speaker 3: reappointed with this General Assembly. Our General Assembly appoints judges.
- 21:13Speaker 3: So with this radical General Assembly, that's not happening. But
- 21:20Speaker 3: more than that, even the Democrat judges, I think, are
- 21:22Speaker 3: going to look at this and see that it is
- 21:24Speaker 3: so brazen that they can't bring themselves to part ways
- 21:30Speaker 3: with what I expect the Republican judges to do. You
- 21:32Speaker 3: could see a 7-0 ruling. on the two particular constitutional
- 21:37Speaker 3: violations that I mentioned to you. Maybe not 7-0 on
- 21:41Speaker 3: all four constitutional violations, but I think on the two
- 21:45Speaker 3: that I just referenced to you, we could see 7-0 rulings.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Doesn't it matter that the new map is in no way...
- 21:52Speaker 1: actual communities. It's designed to straight up destroy.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Real communities in Virginia.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 3: So Vince, that's the fourth constitutional challenge. We actually have
- 22:01Speaker 3: a compactness and contiguity requirement in the Virginia constitution. And
- 22:05Speaker 3: this is the most gerrymandered map in Virginia of yours
- 22:09Speaker 3: in my lifetime.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Yes.
- 22:11Speaker 3: So it is the most vulnerable map I've ever seen
- 22:16Speaker 3: to the compactness challenge under the Virginia constitution. So I
- 22:20Speaker 3: think that's the weakest of the four challenges, but really
- 22:23Speaker 3: what it is is the least strong of the four
- 22:26Speaker 3: challenges because all four constitutional challenges are very strong on
- 22:30Speaker 3: a legal basis.
- 22:31Speaker 1: But if that's a part of the Constitution and it's
- 22:33Speaker 1: not enforced here, then that section has no meaning.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah, if this map doesn't violate it, you can pretty
- 22:41Speaker 3: much write that provision off as ever mattering. I agree
- 22:45Speaker 3: with you on that, but we won't get to that
- 22:48Speaker 3: argument Unless the Democrats win on all three procedural arguments,
- 22:53Speaker 3: the no side only has to win one argument. If
- 22:56Speaker 3: this is unconstitutional on any basis, then it's done. It's
- 23:01Speaker 3: thrown out. And you never get to judging the map itself,
- 23:05Speaker 3: which is a statutory creature that doesn't come into being
- 23:09Speaker 3: unless you get rid of the current maps, which is
- 23:12Speaker 3: what the referendum did.
- 23:14Speaker 1: It's remarkable. So just to be clear on the timeline,
- 23:17Speaker 1: let's assume for a moment the unfortunate event that we
- 23:20Speaker 1: lose here and that they get their new maps. Wouldn't
- 23:22Speaker 1: that require a pretty rapid fire electoral process to start
- 23:26Speaker 1: picking people to be primary candidates? And then the whole scheme,
- 23:31Speaker 1: it's going to take a series of elections, right?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole scheme is going to be accelerated. But
- 23:36Speaker 3: I will say that in anticipation of that, Governor Spanberger- Remember,
- 23:41Speaker 3: she opposed opposed gerrymandering and and the Democrat General Assembly
- 23:47Speaker 3: moved our primaries from June to August to buy more time.
- 23:52Speaker 3: That being said, the courts understand that all of your
- 23:57Speaker 3: points are valid. I mean, even a even a third
- 24:00Speaker 3: week of August primary, the voting starts in the beginning
- 24:03Speaker 3: of July. That's the voting. So candidate qualification and everything
- 24:07Speaker 3: else has to happen before that. obviously. And so I
- 24:12Speaker 3: think the court's going to move very fast. I would
- 24:15Speaker 3: be surprised if the ruling takes beyond the middle of
- 24:18Speaker 3: May from the Virginia Supreme Court.
- 24:20Speaker 1: All right, that's coming really soon. Okay, so you, as
- 24:23Speaker 1: I understand it, I've seen you doing some posting on this,
- 24:25Speaker 1: you're optimistic about this ruling. You think that we won't
- 24:30Speaker 1: have a rigged election come November. Tell me about your optimism.
- 24:34Speaker 3: If I were a betting man, I would definitely be
- 24:37Speaker 3: betting on the no side for sure. in court?
- 24:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's a pretty big deal. I mean, that's
- 24:45Speaker 1: more optimism than we're used to, Ken.
- 24:47Speaker 3: We're not used to this kind of optimism. You and
- 24:49Speaker 3: I have talked for many years. You know that optimism
- 24:52Speaker 3: is not my forte. And yet, and I'm a bit
- 24:57Speaker 3: of an idealist, but I don't see this court parting
- 25:03Speaker 3: ways with the Virginia Constitution so far that they allow
- 25:06Speaker 3: this referendum to stand. It's just too brazen and naked.
- 25:10Speaker 4: It really is.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And then finally, on the brazenness of it, the language
- 25:15Speaker 1: of the actual vote about restoring fairness. Do you want
- 25:19Speaker 1: to restore fairness or not? And I had some listeners
- 25:23Speaker 1: early in the process contact me and tell me, I
- 25:25Speaker 1: had a family member who voted yes because they were mistaken.
- 25:28Speaker 1: They were misled by the referendum. They didn't realize they
- 25:31Speaker 1: should have voted no. And does that play a role
- 25:34Speaker 1: here in defeating this or is that not as big
- 25:37Speaker 1: of a deal?
- 25:38Speaker 3: I don't think it's as big a deal. I think
- 25:41Speaker 3: it is powerful from a persuasiveness standpoint. And the judge
- 25:45Speaker 3: in Tazewell yesterday did include that as a basis. He
- 25:50Speaker 3: called it misleading. We have what's called a plain English
- 25:54Speaker 3: rule for our ballot language. We do not have a
- 25:57Speaker 3: neutrality rule. But his ruling essentially was that it violated
- 26:02Speaker 3: the plain English rule, that calling this fair violated plain
- 26:08Speaker 3: English and was so misleading that it was disqualifying. So
- 26:13Speaker 3: he found that even on a statutory basis. I think
- 26:17Speaker 3: that the Supreme Court of Virginia will decide this on
- 26:20Speaker 3: a state constitutional basis, not on that basis.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Okay. And then finally, I've seen a lot of people
- 26:27Speaker 1: come up with these ideas on how to resolve this.
- 26:29Speaker 1: And here's one I'll just throw at you. Should Virginia's,
- 26:33Speaker 1: the portion of Virginia that was once a part of Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Arlington,
- 26:37Speaker 1: should we restore the square? Should we make D.C. a
- 26:41Speaker 1: square again and then make Virginia a red state? Do
- 26:44Speaker 1: you think that's a good idea?
- 26:45Speaker 3: So if D.C. were 10 miles square. I would have
- 26:48Speaker 3: won my governor's race 13 years ago, but this referendum
- 26:52Speaker 3: would have still squeaked by, just so people know. And
- 26:56Speaker 3: Spanberger would have still won by double digits. I think
- 26:59Speaker 3: a better idea is to take the populated side portions
- 27:03Speaker 3: of D.C. today, give them to Maryland. and leave only
- 27:07Speaker 3: government buildings, non-residential government buildings as part of the District
- 27:12Speaker 3: of Columbia, forever eliminate the possibility that D.C. could be
- 27:16Speaker 3: a state and leave those three electoral votes at zero
- 27:21Speaker 3: every presidential election. Yes, Maryland gets one more congressman, but
- 27:25Speaker 3: we forever get rid of the threat of D.C. as
- 27:28Speaker 3: a state.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be great. But also, every time you make
- 27:31Speaker 1: an offer like that, it really exposes that the left
- 27:33Speaker 1: doesn't want that. They want more senators.
- 27:35Speaker 2: They always do.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Right, of course.
- 27:36Speaker 1: It's a scam. It's all a scam.
- 27:38Speaker 3: All the more reason to do it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Yes, indeed. Ken Cuccinelli, thank you, as always. Thank you
- 27:43Speaker 1: for thinking this through, and thank you for just being great,
- 27:45Speaker 1: and appreciate your time today, sir.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Yeah, good to be with you, Vince.
- 27:48Speaker 1: All right, there he is, the former Attorney General of Virginia. Well,
- 27:52Speaker 1: that's good news. I'll take that. I mean, that's What
- 27:57Speaker 1: an emotional roller coaster this week has been. I know
- 28:00Speaker 1: JDD64 says, I feel better about this now. Yeah, me too.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I feel a little encouraged. I don't want to feel
- 28:07Speaker 1: too encouraged, though. I want to keep my expectations low
- 28:10Speaker 1: so I can be really surprised when it happens. Pleasantly
- 28:13Speaker 1: surprised when it happens. But the big news here is
- 28:16Speaker 1: that in May, we are looking, by mid-May, Ken Cuccinelli
- 28:20Speaker 1: says we could see this big Supreme Court judgment out
- 28:23Speaker 1: of the state of Virginia in saying everything about this
- 28:25Speaker 1: referendum was unconstitutional and that the maps cannot change. They
- 28:29Speaker 1: cannot change. We cannot rig the maps. And Ken's not lying.
- 28:34Speaker 1: He's not, you know, he's not the guy who's wearing
- 28:36Speaker 1: rose-colored glasses all the time. He's not overly optimistic about
- 28:38Speaker 1: these things in the past. That's just him giving us
- 28:41Speaker 1: his assessment. So God bless him for it. I hope
- 28:44Speaker 1: it comes true. I hope it comes true. I hope
- 28:45Speaker 1: we can have Ken back for a big victory lap
- 28:47Speaker 1: on all this. Do you feel better about that? I
- 28:49Speaker 1: feel better. That's yeah, from his mouth, the God's ear.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I totally agree with that. Thank you, Red Laurie.
- 28:55Speaker 2: All right.

- 32:01Speaker 1: I can zoom in on this. I don't even know
- 32:02Speaker 1: if I can zoom. Here's the mug I'm wielding today.
- 32:06Speaker 1: This is, for those of you who saw me with
- 32:08Speaker 1: Dan yesterday, Dan mentioned this quote specifically. I'm going to
- 32:10Speaker 1: block my face. That's how it gets in there. Were
- 32:13Speaker 1: it not for double standards, liberals would have no standards
- 32:16Speaker 1: at all. That's the expression. Perhaps you've heard it before.
- 32:20Speaker 1: And as Dan correctly pointed out yesterday, that is actually
- 32:23Speaker 1: Chris Plant's expression. Chris Plant, who has said this, if
- 32:26Speaker 1: you ever hear it uttered on the floor of the
- 32:28Speaker 1: United States Congress, it's my boy, Chris. That's his mug,
- 32:33Speaker 1: the Chris Plant Show. He's great. Love Chris. Were it
- 32:36Speaker 1: not for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.
- 32:40Speaker 3: It is a great mug.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I totally agree. Great mug. Great mug.
- 32:43Speaker 4: All right.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Let's see. What else do we have here on the
- 32:46Speaker 1: menu today of the many things we need to talk about? Um, uh, Oh,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I love this. This is fun. Hakeem Jeffries is, um,
- 32:56Speaker 1: a ridiculous figure. His, his brain operates on dial up,
- 33:00Speaker 1: which is why he's so freaking slow. We call him
- 33:02Speaker 1: the dial up Democrat. Um, Hakeem Jeffries has spent the
- 33:05Speaker 1: week acting like a full blown lunatic. He was, he
- 33:08Speaker 1: was declaring, as I mentioned yesterday, that, uh, he's going
- 33:11Speaker 1: to war against the American people, war everywhere all the time.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Sure, buddy. And, um, He also says that he wants
- 33:20Speaker 1: to go to war with the state of Florida. Anybody
- 33:22Speaker 1: in chat in Florida? Anybody down there in the free
- 33:25Speaker 1: state of Florida? I love that it's the free state
- 33:26Speaker 1: these days. And in Florida, there is a conversation happening
- 33:31Speaker 1: right now in order to fight back against the left's
- 33:34Speaker 1: election rigging operations about doing some redistricting in order to
- 33:38Speaker 1: get a couple more Republican seats in place. And that's fun.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I love that. And here's Ron DeSantis responding. So basically,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Hakeem Jeffries is like, we're going after you. We're going
- 33:49Speaker 1: after you. And Governor DeSantis had a great moment yesterday
- 33:53Speaker 1: where he ripped the guy he calls Dollar Store Obama. Listen,
- 33:58Speaker 1: here's Ron DeSantis yesterday.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Watch.
- 34:00Speaker 8: This guy, Jeffries, popping off in Washington about Florida. He
- 34:06Speaker 8: wants to be Speaker of the House. And he's kind
- 34:10Speaker 8: of like, you know, more liberal than Pelosi and all
- 34:12Speaker 8: this other stuff from New York City. I just want
- 34:15Speaker 8: to know, I just, oh, Florida, we're going to go
- 34:17Speaker 8: after Florida. Please be my guest. I will pay for
- 34:21Speaker 8: you to come down to Florida and campaign. I'll put
- 34:23Speaker 8: you up in the Florida governor's mansion. We'll take you fishing.
- 34:27Speaker 8: We'll do all this stuff. There's nothing that could be
- 34:31Speaker 8: better for Republicans in Florida than to see Jeffries, Hakeem Jeffries,
- 34:37Speaker 8: everywhere around this state. Voters will not like what they see.
- 34:40Speaker 8: They will not want that type of ideology. And so
- 34:44Speaker 8: the door is open. The invitations out there, I don't
- 34:47Speaker 8: think there would be anything better for the Republican Party
- 34:49Speaker 8: of Florida but to have Jeffries there. Now, I kind
- 34:52Speaker 8: of feel bad for the guy because he's as left
- 34:54Speaker 8: as they come. He's always going left. And yet the
- 34:57Speaker 8: far left hates him. They call him a dollar store Obama.
- 35:01Speaker 8: They call him AIPAC secure, all these different derogatory names
- 35:05Speaker 8: that they do. And so he's tried to ingratiate himself
- 35:08Speaker 8: with their name. but they're just not drinking the Kool-Aid,
- 35:11Speaker 8: and so they give them a hard time. So I
- 35:12Speaker 8: kind of feel bad for that. But please be my
- 35:15Speaker 8: guest to come down in Florida. We would love to
- 35:17Speaker 8: have you.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Any questions? You know, it's been a while since I've
- 35:25Speaker 1: seen a good Ron DeSantis clip. It's not because they
- 35:27Speaker 1: haven't existed. I just haven't seen them. They haven't crossed
- 35:29Speaker 1: my timeline. Really funny. Really funny. I love that. You know,
- 35:35Speaker 1: I really, I think... I think by now DeSantis and
- 35:38Speaker 1: President Trump have passed things up. I keep seeing reports
- 35:41Speaker 1: that DeSantis would love to work with President Trump in
- 35:44Speaker 1: the administration. We've seen speculation lately that he might, he
- 35:48Speaker 1: would love to be the Secretary of War, the Attorney
- 35:52Speaker 1: General or something. Okay, maybe. I mean, but right now, candidly,
- 35:57Speaker 1: you know, Pete Hegseth, I think he's doing a great job.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He's cleaning up that place. He's got the morale actually
- 36:02Speaker 1: getting boosted, getting rid of the DEI stuff. and refocusing
- 36:07Speaker 1: the military on lethality, the stuff that the military is
- 36:09Speaker 1: supposed to be focused on, excellence, and not on left-wing
- 36:13Speaker 1: social engineering. So I think Hegseth's doing a a great
- 36:16Speaker 1: job there. And then, you know, Todd Blanche, man, what
- 36:19Speaker 1: is this audition? You know, right now he's in this like,
- 36:22Speaker 1: you know, acting attorney general phase, but they're bringing prosecutions
- 36:26Speaker 1: and they're cracking down on people. They're moving the grand
- 36:28Speaker 1: conspiracy case. They just hired Joe DeGeneva to join that operation.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I mean, they've got, he's doing so much great stuff
- 36:35Speaker 1: in such a concentrated period of time right now that
- 36:37Speaker 1: I'm wondering, I have been thinking, obviously part of this
- 36:40Speaker 1: is just like the passage of time. Like he's, he's
- 36:43Speaker 1: arriving at the right time for all of this stuff
- 36:44Speaker 1: to come to fruition. But part of me thinks like,
- 36:47Speaker 1: what if Todd Blanche is just undergoing this big audition
- 36:50Speaker 1: right now, trying to prove to Trump that he's the
- 36:52Speaker 1: guy for the job by being this kind of aggressive?
- 36:55Speaker 1: It almost makes me want him to stay as acting
- 36:57Speaker 1: AG for a long, a long time. Why don't we
- 36:59Speaker 1: just keep him in this sort of like middle ground
- 37:02Speaker 1: role where he's constantly trying to impress the president of
- 37:04Speaker 1: the United States and by extension, us, the American voter
- 37:07Speaker 1: might be good. Might be good. And also, for those
- 37:10Speaker 1: of you in Florida, you probably want Ron DeSantis down there. Oh,
- 37:12Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah, the Supreme Court. Lisa Allen said that.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Lisa Allen, 13. That's right. That was the other rumor
- 37:17Speaker 1: this week, is that he would love to be on
- 37:19Speaker 1: the United States Supreme Court. He's an attorney. DeSantis is.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Could be very good. I mean, yeah, it could be
- 37:27Speaker 1: very good in the event that the president has to
- 37:30Speaker 1: pick a new Supreme Court justice. There's a lot of
- 37:32Speaker 1: rampant speculation about, you know, is Sam Alito going to retire?
- 37:35Speaker 1: And at what point does Justice Thomas retire? If those
- 37:38Speaker 1: things happen, it could be important to get a guy
- 37:42Speaker 1: like Ron DeSantis in. And you got to think about
- 37:45Speaker 1: the math that President Trump is dealing with right now
- 37:47Speaker 1: and the Supreme Court for that matter, the guys on
- 37:49Speaker 1: the court, the Alitos, the Thomases, the guys who really
- 37:51Speaker 1: care about our country. What are they thinking here? Because one,
- 37:57Speaker 1: it'd be great to have them around forever, but truth
- 37:59Speaker 1: is none of us can live forever. None of us
- 38:01Speaker 1: can live forever. At some point, you got to check out.
- 38:05Speaker 1: And when do you go? Right now, we have a
- 38:08Speaker 1: Republican Senate. The odds of keeping a Republican Senate are
- 38:11Speaker 1: actually relatively high, despite what you're hearing in the media.
- 38:13Speaker 1: We do have a very good shot of keeping and
- 38:15Speaker 1: even growing the Republican Senate this year, which is what
- 38:19Speaker 1: you need for a Supreme Court confirmation. You know, is
- 38:24Speaker 1: there an electoral advantage to having a vacancy on the court?
- 38:29Speaker 7: Maybe.
- 38:30Speaker 1: It could backfire. You could inspire the left to to
- 38:34Speaker 1: show up like crazy to the polls to stop a
- 38:37Speaker 1: Supreme Court justice from emerging. That could happen. So that's
- 38:41Speaker 1: the kind of math they're doing behind the scenes. Because remember,
- 38:45Speaker 1: one of the big helpful reasons that President Trump got
- 38:47Speaker 1: elected in the first place is Supreme Court picks. That's
- 38:50Speaker 1: why people, there was a meaningful percentage of the population
- 38:53Speaker 1: that voted for Trump because they needed a great pick
- 38:56Speaker 1: for that Supreme Court vacancy. That was Mitch McConnell's last
- 39:00Speaker 1: great achievement insofar as he's had them. in helping us
- 39:04Speaker 1: keep open a vacancy so that the president could fill
- 39:06Speaker 1: it so uh yeah no there's a there's a lot
- 39:10Speaker 1: going on here there's a there's a lot going on
- 39:12Speaker 1: here and uh we'll keep your eyes on that but
- 39:14Speaker 1: i know those of you in florida you love ron
- 39:16Speaker 1: desantis as governor my my parents are down in florida
- 39:18Speaker 1: my dad you know general colonized down in florida he
- 39:21Speaker 1: loves ron desantis down there they love having him as
- 39:23Speaker 1: governor So, you know, but you can't have everything. You
- 39:27Speaker 1: can't have everything. Sometimes you got to make a trade-off
- 39:28Speaker 1: for your country. So maybe he is a good pick.
- 39:30Speaker 1: We'll see. It's up to the president on that one.
- 39:33Speaker 1: In the United States Senate, I want to bring you
- 39:35Speaker 1: now to an update on the Save America Act. What's
- 39:39Speaker 1: going on with that? Is that going to happen? Are
- 39:42Speaker 1: we going to gavel in today? Sure we are.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 39:45Speaker 1: The Save America Act today. There is some chatter right now.
- 39:50Speaker 1: You know, John Kennedy, Senator John Kennedy says he's going
- 39:53Speaker 1: to put Save America Act priorities into the reconciliation package. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I'm sure. I'll believe it when I see it. I
- 40:00Speaker 1: don't think we'll see it because I don't think it
- 40:02Speaker 1: can survive being a part of the budget process. We've
- 40:04Speaker 1: talked about this quite a bit. But there was an
- 40:07Speaker 1: article this week from an outfit called Punchbowl. And It
- 40:13Speaker 1: was about how John Thune is trying to navigate this
- 40:17Speaker 1: world where Republicans like you and conservatives like us want
- 40:24Speaker 1: the Save America Act passed. And John Thune doesn't know
- 40:28Speaker 1: how to deal with you. John Thune is overwhelmed by you.
- 40:33Speaker 1: And so Punchbowl's got this piece. They say it's a
- 40:35Speaker 1: multi-front pileup for John Thune. And they say Thune is
- 40:41Speaker 1: dealing with a MAGA onslaught over the Save America Act.
- 40:45Speaker 1: A MAGA onslaught. You see that, ladies and gentlemen? You're
- 40:48Speaker 1: a part of a MAGA onslaught. Congratulations to the onslaughters
- 40:52Speaker 1: out there. It's a relentless push to gut the filibuster.
- 40:57Speaker 1: And an Iranian war that's exacerbating affordability concerns, they say.
- 41:03Speaker 1: It's giving Democrats new ammo. Unique set of challenges, yada, yada, yada.
- 41:08Speaker 1: And then here's John Thune. They've got their limitations and
- 41:10Speaker 1: so do we. So we've just got to figure it out.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Inside the conference, the Save America Act is a touchy subject.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Is a touchy subject. The bill, which requires photo ID
- 41:23Speaker 1: and proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections, this
- 41:26Speaker 1: is bare minimum stuff, doesn't have a path to passage,
- 41:30Speaker 1: says Punchbowl flatly. That's not true. It would have a
- 41:33Speaker 1: path to passage if you guys would find your knots
- 41:36Speaker 1: and pass it. If we would establish a little bit
- 41:38Speaker 1: of testicular fortitude, boom, we could pass this thing. But
- 41:42Speaker 1: you lack that. They've gone through a bunch of gender-affirming
- 41:46Speaker 1: surgeries in the Senate Republican Conference, which has prevented them
- 41:50Speaker 1: from having the testicular fortitude to do this job. But
- 41:53Speaker 1: that hasn't stopped some Senate Republicans, namely Senator Mike Lee.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Mike Lee. Oh, that Mike Lee. What a menace that
- 42:05Speaker 1: Mike Lee is. Mike Lee.
- 42:08Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 42:09Speaker 1: He's so scary. Mike Lee. He's been ginning up anger
- 42:12Speaker 1: at Thune among MAGA followers online. Thune decided to hold
- 42:17Speaker 1: a prolonged floor debate as a way to placate conservatives.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You see this? What did I tell you they were doing?
- 42:23Speaker 1: Head pats. Placation. There you go, Sonny. We talked about it.
- 42:30Speaker 1: and indirectly try to prove that their preferred method of
- 42:33Speaker 1: passing the bill, the so-called talking filibuster, was unrealistic. was unrealistic.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Trump made it even harder for Thune. Oh, that Trump,
- 42:41Speaker 1: he's so dastardly. By injecting an issue into the debate,
- 42:45Speaker 1: restricting mail-in ballots, that deeply divides Republicans. Why does it
- 42:49Speaker 1: deeply divide Republicans? Is anybody asking these questions? Why in
- 42:54Speaker 1: the hell would making mail-in ballots believable, credible, legitimate, why
- 43:01Speaker 1: would it divide Republicans, you psychopaths? Democrats led by Senator
- 43:07Speaker 1: Alex Padilla exploited those divisions. Remember Padilla? Remember Padilla? He
- 43:12Speaker 1: tried to assault Kristi Noem. He charged the stage and
- 43:15Speaker 1: he got tackled and he tried to turn himself into
- 43:17Speaker 1: the victim. Big Jussie Smollett event. Suddenly, any attempt at
- 43:21Speaker 1: a messaging vote to make Democrats look unreasonable for opposing
- 43:24Speaker 1: voter ID was no longer as effective. A messaging vote.
- 43:28Speaker 1: We don't want a messaging vote. We want a real vote.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Yet Thune on Monday said the Senate might return to
- 43:33Speaker 1: the controversial bill after reconciliation. Why is it controversial? You
- 43:40Speaker 1: see how I have to read these dumb stories? I
- 43:42Speaker 1: read through them and then I'm like, what? What does
- 43:44Speaker 1: that mean? What are you talking about? Why are you trying?
- 43:48Speaker 1: People say it's pronounced Padilla. That's not true. That's incorrect.
- 43:52Speaker 1: This is officially Padilla, ladies and gentlemen. Where did this start,
- 43:57Speaker 1: this Padilla thing? Yes, there are people out there whose
- 44:00Speaker 1: names are Padilla. That's true. This guy's name is Padilla.
- 44:04Speaker 1: It's Padilla, okay? Just to be super clear. Don't mess
- 44:07Speaker 1: it up. Okay, they say here, it's unclear whether MAGA
- 44:11Speaker 1: World and Lee, who is calling for nuking the filibuster
- 44:15Speaker 1: to pass SAVE, would be satisfied with an additional floor debate.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Here's a GOP senator. This is the quote, ready? John
- 44:24Speaker 1: is playing footsie with MAGA on the SAVE Act. He's
- 44:29Speaker 1: playing footsie with you. I don't want to play footsie
- 44:32Speaker 1: with freaking John Thune. I don't want to play footsie.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Not interested in footsie. Footsie, we did that. When was footsie?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Footsie was like, you know, 10 years old. When were
- 44:40Speaker 1: you playing footsie? You're not playing footsie now? Footsie's over.
- 44:43Speaker 1: We're not interested in footsie. We want you to pass
- 44:46Speaker 1: the freaking SAVE Act. No more footsie. John is playing
- 44:50Speaker 1: footsie with MAGA on the SAVE Act, said a random
- 44:52Speaker 1: Republican senator. Nothing he does will ever satisfy them. Them,
- 44:58Speaker 1: meaning you. Nothing John Thune does will ever satisfy you.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Is that true? Is that true? Nothing John Thune could
- 45:10Speaker 1: ever do would satisfy you? That's not true. There is
- 45:17Speaker 1: something he could do that would satisfy me. Pass the
- 45:21Speaker 1: freaking SAVE Act. No footsie. Pass the bill. Nothing he
- 45:29Speaker 1: does will ever satisfy them, said a Republican senator who
- 45:32Speaker 1: is granted anonymity to deliver a candid assessment. Why are
- 45:38Speaker 1: we carrying on with this charade? Said a Republican senator anonymously,
- 45:47Speaker 1: like a bitch, to Punchbowl. Why are we carrying on
- 45:53Speaker 1: with this charade?
- 45:55Speaker 5: I'll tell you why.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Because we want it. Because the American people want it.
- 46:04Speaker 1: We're sick of your crap. Yes, that's right. Cutesy time
- 46:08Speaker 1: is over, says Carnage25. Cutesy time is over. We want this.
- 46:17Speaker 1: And we know you exist, you anonymous Republican senator. We
- 46:20Speaker 1: know people like you exist. This is the source of
- 46:23Speaker 1: our great frustration. That We have to fight the Democrats,
- 46:28Speaker 1: and then we have to fight some untold number of
- 46:32Speaker 1: establishment Republicans who have such a low regard for their
- 46:36Speaker 1: own base that they engage in efforts to pat us
- 46:39Speaker 1: on the head and placate us and get us to
- 46:42Speaker 1: go away so that they can get back to the
- 46:44Speaker 1: business of corruption rather than to the business of the
- 46:48Speaker 1: American people. Making America great again also means making the
- 46:53Speaker 1: Republican Party great again. We have to clean it out.
- 46:58Speaker 1: We have to do a controlled burn. Mike Lee, to
- 47:02Speaker 1: his credit, is also outraged by this. He reacted to
- 47:06Speaker 1: this quote, it's a charade. The Save America Act is
- 47:10Speaker 1: a charade. Protecting our elections is not a charade. It
- 47:13Speaker 1: is a priority. Here's Mike Lee uncorking on this anonymous
- 47:17Speaker 1: senator and pegging whoever it is for exactly the kind
- 47:22Speaker 1: of person he is.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Watch. Supposedly, one of my colleagues called the effort to
- 47:28Speaker 2: pass the Save America Act in the Senate a charade. Well,
- 47:33Speaker 2: my guess is that whoever said that but didn't have
- 47:36Speaker 2: the guts to put their name to it is somebody
- 47:38Speaker 2: who's a co-sponsor of the Save America Act, who openly,
- 47:42Speaker 2: actively tells his constituents that he's a co-sponsor of the
- 47:46Speaker 2: Save America Act, and maybe even tells donors that in
- 47:49Speaker 2: order to raise funds. Regardless, this isn't going away.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'm not going away.
- 47:52Speaker 2: This thing's not a charade. And I'm doubling down on this.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I'm going to work twice as hard just because you
- 47:59Speaker 2: said that, whoever you are.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Something has happened in Mike Lee's psyche. I don't know
- 48:09Speaker 1: if you've noticed it too. Mike Lee has reached a
- 48:16Speaker 1: new level of aggression here because he is getting frustrated
- 48:21Speaker 1: at unseen levels. Mike Lee is, he's kind of, he's
- 48:26Speaker 1: such an even keeled guy. He's a fighter, but he's
- 48:28Speaker 1: even keeled. He's always, he's always just sort of down here.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Something lately has him ticked off at an unseen level.
- 48:36Speaker 1: And I love it. I love the energy. Not because
- 48:39Speaker 1: I love that he has to be ticked off. I
- 48:41Speaker 1: just love that he's in the fight and that he's
- 48:43Speaker 1: staying on this bone. John Thune does not want Mike
- 48:46Speaker 1: Lee doing this. The last thing this goon anonymous senator
- 48:50Speaker 1: wants is is Mike Lee getting out there and releasing
- 48:55Speaker 1: more messages to the public about what the inner workings
- 48:57Speaker 1: of the United States Senate are right now. The Senate
- 49:00Speaker 1: has gone for years without you knowing, or at least
- 49:03Speaker 1: to the extent that they could suppress it, trying to
- 49:05Speaker 1: hide how they actually function internally. And now the guts
- 49:08Speaker 1: are all over the place. We can see everything. And
- 49:11Speaker 1: we're watching this and going, no, no, no, we're going
- 49:13Speaker 1: to clean this up. We're your parole officers now. We're
- 49:15Speaker 1: going to hover over your every action. We're going to
- 49:17Speaker 1: keep an eye on what you're up to until you
- 49:19Speaker 1: act do what you're supposed to. And so here's Mike Lee.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Mike Lee, a guy who not that long ago thought, like,
- 49:25Speaker 1: we have to preserve the filibuster. We've got to preserve
- 49:28Speaker 1: the rights of the minority in the Senate. This is
- 49:30Speaker 1: really important. He's done with this because he sees the
- 49:33Speaker 1: writing on the wall. This is what we were talking
- 49:35Speaker 1: about yesterday in the wake of the Virginia vote. You
- 49:38Speaker 1: have to recognize what time it is. If you fail
- 49:40Speaker 1: to recognize the time that's on America's clock right now,
- 49:43Speaker 1: then you need to get the hell out of the way.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Here he is saying, it's done. I don't care what
- 49:48Speaker 1: it takes. We either use the talking filibuster, we blow
- 49:50Speaker 1: up the zombie filibuster, as he calls it, the silent filibuster.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I don't care. By any means necessary, we have to
- 49:56Speaker 1: get this done. Do something. Cut four. Mike Lee, watch.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Senate Democrats are using unprecedented obstruction and use of the
- 50:05Speaker 2: zombie filibuster in order to get their priorities. It's working
- 50:09Speaker 2: well for them. You know, they got all the departments
- 50:12Speaker 2: and agencies and the federal government funded that they like.
- 50:15Speaker 2: But then somehow they refuse utterly to cooperate on any
- 50:20Speaker 2: spending bill that would fund the Department of Homeland Security.
- 50:23Speaker 2: So we're having to reinvent the wheel, go through a
- 50:25Speaker 2: very elaborate process just to fund this one department whose
- 50:28Speaker 2: success is material, indispensable to our national security and to
- 50:32Speaker 2: President Trump's agenda. We're having to go through this process
- 50:36Speaker 2: that actually takes weeks to complete just so we can
- 50:38Speaker 2: pass it with a simple majority of votes. Here is
- 50:41Speaker 2: the problem. All this is a symptom of our refusal
- 50:44Speaker 2: to enforce the talking filibuster. If we were to enforce
- 50:47Speaker 2: the talking filibuster, we could exhaust them and get to
- 50:50Speaker 2: the point where they either provide us with the 60
- 50:52Speaker 2: votes we need or they get lazy, they get sloppy,
- 50:55Speaker 2: they exhaust themselves, and eventually we find a way to
- 50:58Speaker 2: get it passed.
- 51:00Speaker 1: If we're willing to do that, great.
- 51:02Speaker 2: It's probably the way we ought to do it. It
- 51:03Speaker 2: protects debate to use the talking filibuster. But if we're
- 51:06Speaker 2: not willing to use the talking filibuster, it's time to
- 51:09Speaker 2: nuke it. Why? Look, this zombie filibuster thing that we're using,
- 51:13Speaker 2: which is sort of the opposite of what the filibuster
- 51:15Speaker 2: is supposed to do and supposed to be, not only
- 51:18Speaker 2: is their obstruction with it unprecedented of late and causing
- 51:23Speaker 2: all sorts of problems, but it's inuring disproportionately to the
- 51:27Speaker 2: benefit of the Democrats. Not something we want to be
- 51:30Speaker 2: doing in these rare and often fleeting moments when we've
- 51:33Speaker 2: got Republican control of the Senate, of the House, and
- 51:37Speaker 2: of the White House. So let's either enforce the talking
- 51:40Speaker 2: filibuster or nuke the zombie filibuster. You can't have it
- 51:43Speaker 2: both ways. Let's get this done. We will continue running
- 51:47Speaker 2: around this like it's just on a hamster wheel until
- 51:51Speaker 2: we fix the problem. I don't really care that much which.
- 51:53Speaker 2: I'd rather enforce the talking filibuster, but I'm not willing
- 51:57Speaker 2: to do the hard work of that. For the love
- 51:59Speaker 2: of Pete, let's nuke it.
- 52:02Speaker 1: You know, when the filibuster was founded, as Mike Lee
- 52:05Speaker 1: clearly was getting out there, the whole point of that
- 52:10Speaker 1: cloture vote, achieving a level of support in the Senate
- 52:14Speaker 1: that would allow the bill to be passed in the
- 52:16Speaker 1: first place, to go to an actual vote, the whole
- 52:19Speaker 1: reason was to create the conditions for robust debate. That's
- 52:24Speaker 1: what the filibuster was supposed to be. This is why
- 52:27Speaker 1: it exists. It's for extended debate on the subject so
- 52:32Speaker 1: that you could cobble together consensus in the Senate around
- 52:36Speaker 1: the legislation and then put it to an up or
- 52:39Speaker 1: down vote. Yes or no, do you support this legislation?
- 52:44Speaker 1: That is not the current state of the filibuster. The
- 52:47Speaker 1: current state of the filibuster is no debate at all.
- 52:50Speaker 1: That bills don't even see the light of day. It's
- 52:55Speaker 1: a perfect perversion, a perfect inversion. of what the Senate
- 53:00Speaker 1: is supposed to be doing in its legislative business. Screw that.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Hell with that. And so any person who's there to
- 53:09Speaker 1: protect the institution, you're sabotaging the institution by destroying debate.
- 53:16Speaker 1: You're sabotaging it by not allowing legislation to even be considered.
- 53:21Speaker 1: And you're sabotaging the institution in order to protect yourselves
- 53:25Speaker 1: and your own political careers and reputations. And the reason
- 53:28Speaker 1: I say that is because the filibuster, the silent filibuster
- 53:31Speaker 1: in its current form, has been a convenient way for
- 53:35Speaker 1: senators not to have to engage with politically sensitive legislation.
- 53:40Speaker 1: anything that they think might blow back on them for
- 53:43Speaker 1: having to deal with it all. The reality is in
- 53:46Speaker 1: the Senate, both parties have been very comfortable with the
- 53:49Speaker 1: silent filibuster because they love not having to put their
- 53:52Speaker 1: name on the record in any capacity because they want
- 53:55Speaker 1: the voters to view them as merely a blank slate.
- 53:58Speaker 1: They don't really want a record for voters to dwell on.
- 54:02Speaker 1: That's the last thing that they want. So all of
- 54:05Speaker 1: these like politically sensitive things, they try and hide from it.
- 54:08Speaker 1: That's it. And so don't tell me you're protecting the
- 54:11Speaker 1: institution of the Senate by upholding the silent filibuster. You're
- 54:15Speaker 1: betraying the entire institution, which is another way of saying
- 54:19Speaker 1: you're betraying the country. You're betraying the purpose that the
- 54:22Speaker 1: founders arranged in the first place in the Constitution. It's gross.
- 54:27Speaker 1: And so Mike Lee is right to fight here. And
- 54:30Speaker 1: I'm glad to see he's staying on that hamster wheel.
- 54:32Speaker 1: It's super important that he does that. Super, super important
- 54:37Speaker 1: that he does that. Um, okay. Finally in the United
- 54:40Speaker 1: States Senate, uh, yesterday, um, you want some, you want
- 54:43Speaker 1: some fun stuff out of the Senate yesterday? I can
- 54:45Speaker 1: show you some fun stuff. Let's get, let's get some
- 54:47Speaker 1: fun stuff here before we, we depart the program, uh, today. Uh,
- 54:51Speaker 1: RFK Jr. was testifying yesterday before the, uh, before the Senate.
- 54:58Speaker 1: And he was subjected to a lot of stupid questions
- 55:00Speaker 1: from Democrats. And among them was, uh, Senator Tina Smith, uh,
- 55:06Speaker 1: who tried to turn, uh, the HHS booting people off
- 55:09Speaker 1: of federal benefits into a scandal. And RFK said, yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 1: those are illegal aliens. They should be cut off. Here's
- 55:17Speaker 1: that exchange yesterday with Tina Smith. RFK, talking about a
- 55:21Speaker 1: great guy in the administration. Watch this.
- 55:23Speaker 9: Recommending zeroing out funding for Title 10, which would eliminate
- 55:28Speaker 9: screenings for cervical cancer and would almost certainly result in
- 55:33Speaker 9: higher unintended pregnancies.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Can I respond to some of your earlier statements?
- 55:39Speaker 1: Please.
- 55:40Speaker 10: First of all, there are no cuts in Medicaid. I
- 55:43Speaker 10: keep saying this. Here's what the CBO said. Fiscal year 2025,
- 55:47Speaker 10: $ 668 billion. Fiscal year 2036, $ 981 billion. That's not a cut.
- 55:55Speaker 10: It's a 47% increase.
- 55:57Speaker 9: A trillion dollars in cuts, according to the CBO. Seven
- 56:01Speaker 9: million people losing their health insurance because of the Trump
- 56:05Speaker 9: administration actions. That's not debatable.
- 56:08Speaker 10: There's nobody who is legally enrolled in Medicaid who is
- 56:12Speaker 10: losing coverage.
- 56:13Speaker 1: That is just not true.
- 56:14Speaker 4: That is just not true. It is so.
- 56:16Speaker 1: It's true. How can this be a cut?
- 56:19Speaker 9: How else would you like to respond to my questions
- 56:21Speaker 9: about why the administration is cutting preventative care?
- 56:25Speaker 4: We're putting a lot of it is being returned to
- 56:27Speaker 4: the states.
- 56:28Speaker 10: We're doing a $ 667 billion block grant to the states
- 56:35Speaker 10: for mental health.
- 56:36Speaker 9: My counties are asking why the cost shift to their
- 56:39Speaker 9: taxpayers is happening at the same time that rural hospitals
- 56:43Speaker 9: are going out of business, Secretary Kennedy.
- 56:46Speaker 10: The states administer the programs better than we do. So
- 56:49Speaker 10: we're giving the same money to the states to administer
- 56:52Speaker 10: the program.
- 56:53Speaker 1: That is not the way it is working. So what
- 56:55Speaker 1: they're saying here, and you see Eric Daugherty writes it
- 56:58Speaker 1: on his ex-post, They're cutting off illegals. They're cutting out fraud.
- 57:01Speaker 1: They're cutting off foreigners. And Democrats are trying to turn
- 57:04Speaker 1: this into a scandal. Have you noticed that Democrats only
- 57:06Speaker 1: freak out when their fraud is exposed? That all of
- 57:09Speaker 1: their freak outs consist of exposing their fraudulent operations, the
- 57:13Speaker 1: theft of taxpayer money. It's really amazing. Here's another great
- 57:18Speaker 1: moment yesterday. This is with a ridiculous senator, Ron Wyden,
- 57:23Speaker 1: who tries to turn, tries to bring up the sexual
- 57:27Speaker 1: abuse of children. He starts alleging that there's some sort
- 57:30Speaker 1: of scandal happening under RFK Jr. And RFK goes, you
- 57:33Speaker 1: want to talk about the sex abuse of children? How
- 57:35Speaker 1: about on the watch of your party under HHS? Take
- 57:39Speaker 1: a look at this moment yesterday. Watch.
- 57:42Speaker 5: That a three-year-old girl was sexually abused in a foster
- 57:47Speaker 5: home at an agency that you oversee. Are you familiar
- 57:51Speaker 5: with this?
- 57:52Speaker 4: No, I am not.
- 57:55Speaker 5: You're the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and it's
- 57:58Speaker 5: in a national publication. And you didn't know that a
- 58:02Speaker 5: three-year-old girl was being sexually abused on your watch?
- 58:06Speaker 10: I can tell you there were tens of thousands of
- 58:10Speaker 10: girls and boys who were sexually abused. The Biden administration
- 58:14Speaker 10: lost 425,000 children, and you never complained.
- 58:18Speaker 5: Whose job is it to inform you of something like this?
- 58:21Speaker 5: Because this, to me, is an unconscionable case.
- 58:25Speaker 10: Yeah, but why weren't you worried when he lost 425,000 children?
- 58:28Speaker 4: I read this. Why are you suddenly worried? I read
- 58:30Speaker 4: this in the newspaper.
- 58:31Speaker 10: Why are you suddenly worried about sexual abuse of children
- 58:35Speaker 10: now and trafficking when it was mass promoted under the
- 58:39Speaker 10: Biden administration? where they gave 425,000 children to adults without identification.
- 58:45Speaker 7: I'm asking the questions here, and this was in a
- 58:50Speaker 7: national publication seen by millions of people, an unconscionable example
- 58:55Speaker 7: of mistreatment of a three-year-old, and you don't know anything
- 58:58Speaker 7: about it.
- 58:58Speaker 1: This is selective indignation.
- 59:00Speaker 4: It's very dishonest, Senator.
- 59:02Speaker 5: We have been working on this for years.
- 59:04Speaker 10: Why don't you help us find those children who are lost,
- 59:07Speaker 10: still lost?
- 59:07Speaker 4: We found 138,000. We're working on this right now.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Now, and we'll have additional.
- 59:12Speaker 5: opportunities to talk to you.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Listen, he's like completely impervious to the English language. This is,
- 59:20Speaker 1: RFK keeps asking him like, hey, what's the deal? What
- 59:22Speaker 1: about the 425,000 children? What about the half million kids
- 59:26Speaker 1: who went missing? What about all the kids who were
- 59:27Speaker 1: sexually abused on the watch of the Biden administration? You
- 59:30Speaker 1: said nothing, you incredible sack of crap. Look at this,
- 59:35Speaker 1: like cadaver asking him questions. And then pretending like he's
- 59:39Speaker 1: not getting responses here. He's getting responses. He just doesn't
- 59:42Speaker 1: like the responses because they expose the callous indifference of
- 59:47Speaker 1: the left. It's always power politics. It's not about the
- 59:50Speaker 1: well-being of kids. They abort a million of them a
- 59:52Speaker 1: year and they try and do it at taxpayer expense.
- 59:54Speaker 1: The last thing they care about is the well-being of children.
- 59:57Speaker 1: And if they make it out of the womb, they
- 59:58Speaker 1: try and groom them into believing that they're the opposite gender. Please,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: please spare us the moral indignation. Come on. nonsense stuff.
