- 0:15Speaker 2: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 0:51Speaker 3: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. Once again, I
- 0:58Speaker 3: am Brian.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm Greg.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I am Misty.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Hey, I'm Jay.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I'm Marlena.
- 1:05Speaker 3: And happy Thanksgiving. It's our wonderful... Okay, let's just call
- 1:10Speaker 3: it out. It's our Turkzilla special.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 1:17Speaker 3: The evil that is Turkzilla is now lurking in the
- 1:19Speaker 3: oven in the next room. I'm terrified. Yeah, we'll get
- 1:24Speaker 3: to that in a few minutes.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Not a bunch of Middle Eastern guys.
- 1:28Speaker 3: So we... I don't know what that means. The Turks.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Turkish.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Turkish.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Gallipoli.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Istanbul, Wisconsin.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I was just thinking that.
- 1:40Speaker 3: That's what distracted me. I started humming the song. That's
- 1:43Speaker 3: not Woody's business, but the Turks. So, yeah, it's been
- 1:47Speaker 3: quite a while since we've been sitting at the table here.
- 1:49Speaker 3: It's been since the last holiday episode, I believe.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I need a break from y'all's shit.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Too bad.
- 1:55Speaker 5: I've just been busy.
- 1:56Speaker 3: We've been on the road anyway. Yeah, it's been a
- 1:58Speaker 3: long time since you've been here, Jay.
- 1:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I've been stuck in the world of bad job.
- 2:01Speaker 4: And parenthood.
- 2:03Speaker 3: And parenthood, yeah. so before we've had several road trip
- 2:08Speaker 3: episodes before we begin our regular week do we need
- 2:10Speaker 3: to have a wrap up of you know we didn't
- 2:12Speaker 3: really get a chance to do a full discussion on
- 2:15Speaker 3: the last two weeks if you will so do we
- 2:18Speaker 3: need a horror hound wrap up or a scare story
- 2:20Speaker 3: didn't we talk about it last week I thought we
- 2:22Speaker 3: did not after the fact.
- 2:25Speaker 6: Oh We went to Horror Island and there was people
- 2:27Speaker 6: and there was a lot of them and they were
- 2:28Speaker 6: all kind of crammed together and apparently some of them
- 2:30Speaker 6: were moist.
- 2:33Speaker 4: And Randy touched some guy's crotch. I had to sanitize him.
- 2:36Speaker 3: He says it's by accident. Whatever.
- 2:39Speaker 4: There was hand sanitizer.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Immediately busted out.
- 2:43Speaker 4: It was a spray kind too.
- 2:44Speaker 3: It was good. And we also met my future wife.
- 2:48Speaker 3: That would be Ms. Stay Puff.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Oh, my God. She was so cute. I wanted to
- 2:53Speaker 4: put her in my pocket and carry her around. Oh,
- 2:55Speaker 4: my God.
- 2:56Speaker 3: That's probably not going to be the case because if
- 2:57Speaker 3: I remember, she was hanging out with some dude. So
- 2:59Speaker 3: that's probably not going to pan out. But my thing
- 3:03Speaker 3: is we still don't know who the hell she is.
- 3:04Speaker 3: We probably should have, like, been, like.
- 3:06Speaker 6: I tried Googling Stay Puff Pinup, but I couldn't find anything.
- 3:08Speaker 6: I found a couple other girls, but they were nowhere
- 3:09Speaker 6: near as cute.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I'm, like, we really needed to go, like, hey, what's
- 3:13Speaker 3: your name? Where the hell are you? What's your name
- 3:15Speaker 3: if I remember your address?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Right now.
- 3:18Speaker 3: If no other reason, the entire staff here thinks she's adorable.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So we really need to befriend her on Facebook. So
- 3:25Speaker 3: if somebody out there was, you know, at Horror Hound
- 3:27Speaker 3: or knows who this chick is that is now featured
- 3:29Speaker 3: in the picture of us from Horror Hound Weekend.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, she's ridiculous.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Sounds like a prelude to stalking.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 3: We're publicly addressing this. We're like, hey, you're awesome. Get
- 3:42Speaker 3: a hold of us. So that's not stalking. That's in reverse.
- 3:44Speaker 7: We better put it on the Facebook page and just
- 3:47Speaker 7: try to get some of the fans.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Have you seen this girl?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Hey, fans.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Put a movie meltdown t-shirt if you.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Can lead us to it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: A free t-shirt if you give me your address.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Now that's starting to sound creepy.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Have you seen this girl? She had cute face dimples.
- 4:02Speaker 4: She was just cute all over.
- 4:03Speaker 2: What I want to know is, is she sticky? Is
- 4:05Speaker 2: she stable?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I'm getting a little marshmallow fluff thing. Hold on. Anyway. No,
- 4:14Speaker 3: she actually was holding onto my arm, and there wasn't
- 4:16Speaker 3: any marshmallow residue or anything.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Did she smell like marshmallows?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Anyway. I don't know. I just, yeah. I put Randy
- 4:26Speaker 3: on the case, too, so we'll see if he can
- 4:27Speaker 3: track her down.
- 4:28Speaker 4: I trust Randy.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Only after the fact did I think about, man, we
- 4:31Speaker 3: should have added her. Because we talked to all the
- 4:34Speaker 3: other people there that weekend. I've now thrown them on
- 4:37Speaker 3: our page, whether they wanted to be or not. So, yep,
- 4:40Speaker 3: we need to track down Steakbuff Marshmallow Girl.
- 4:42Speaker 5: You didn't try to track her down?
- 4:43Speaker 4: I Googled her.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I know, but you're usually pretty good at stalking people down.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Usually I have a little bit more to go on.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I know. She finds stuff for me all the time.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I'm an expert internet stalker. I found several other.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Stay Puft girls, but they were not as cute. No offense,
- 4:58Speaker 6: other Stay Puft marshmallow girls. This girl had very high
- 5:02Speaker 6: standards for you to meet.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yes, she did. I even saw her in someone else's picture.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Somebody else posed with her in their album. They still didn't, like,
- 5:09Speaker 3: tag her. So she's a mystery girl at this point,
- 5:12Speaker 3: and we need to track her down.
- 5:13Speaker 4: She's part of the allure.
- 5:14Speaker 6: She's part of the allure right there, draws you, and
- 5:15Speaker 6: you want to know even more because you know nothing.
- 5:17Speaker 5: If she was.
- 5:18Speaker 2: She's a ghost.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That would be awesome. I mean, you know, the Stay
- 5:21Speaker 3: Puft Marshmallow was technically a ghost, I guess, or a
- 5:25Speaker 3: manifestation of some sort of evil spirit. Yeah, I don't know.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I completely have a totally heterosexual girlfriend here.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Well, because Danielle pissed me off.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So she's replaced Danielle as your new girl crush?
- 5:43Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Fuck Danielle. I'm fucking tearing this out. Fuck that movie.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Fuck Meg Ryan. Fuck Billy Crystal.
- 5:49Speaker 3: You can go on that rant, but, you know, Danielle.
- 5:51Speaker 7: I wish I would have sat in for that, because, God,
- 5:53Speaker 7: if I had a fucking dollar for every time I
- 5:55Speaker 7: saw that damn movie.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I'd be a millionaire.
- 5:56Speaker 4: I'd finally have my sugar day.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Yeah, you would. God, I've seen that fucking movie so
- 6:01Speaker 5: many times, and not by choice, either.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Well, that was the thing.
- 6:04Speaker 3: It was such a different... It's something we would have
- 6:07Speaker 3: never watched otherwise. Even I wouldn't have picked it.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I refuse to watch it, and I will not watch it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: That was always the time of the month marathon.
- 6:13Speaker 7: It was usually When Harry Met Sally, Sixteen Candles.
- 6:20Speaker 4: That one's okay.
- 6:21Speaker 7: It involved a lot of John Hughes movies, but then
- 6:25Speaker 7: it always got thrown in with Sleepless in Seattle.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I still think that's better than When Harry Met Sally.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I do too, but you know. Aside from quoting
- 6:35Speaker 5: Billy Crystal.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But that's bad Tom Hanks. I'll take bad Billy Crystal
- 6:39Speaker 2: over bad Tom Hanks.
- 6:40Speaker 3: No, because at least Tom Hanks is kind of funny.
- 6:42Speaker 8: No.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:44Speaker 5: He's just depressing.
- 6:45Speaker 3: That's the thing. He's at least likable. I don't even
- 6:47Speaker 3: like Billy Crystal in that movie. And I brought that up.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I was like, he's a jerk the whole movie almost.
- 6:52Speaker 4: But that's how I like him, though. It proves that
- 6:53Speaker 4: he's right, too.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And I'm like.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 4: And his whole point was he's saying that girls and
- 6:57Speaker 4: guys can't be... It's like.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Well, yeah, if you watch the movie, it all comes true.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It's like they have sex. It totally fucks up their friendship.
- 7:04Speaker 3: It's like he was right. I mean, the entire time
- 7:07Speaker 3: it was leading to sex, as soon as they had sex,
- 7:09Speaker 3: it fucked things up. That is how life works. I
- 7:11Speaker 3: hate to tell her, so... I want to take back.
- 7:13Speaker 4: My statement against Danielle.
- 7:14Speaker 6: I'm going to focus all my anger towards this movie
- 7:16Speaker 6: and Meg Ryan because, really, seriously, I don't.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Like Meg Ryan.
- 7:19Speaker 3: No, and that's the thing. We sat there talking, and
- 7:21Speaker 3: it's like she... it's such a weird mixture because everything
- 7:25Speaker 3: she's working on are awesome and i said that i
- 7:27Speaker 3: was like you've got a lot of really cool projects
- 7:28Speaker 3: like everything she was working on was horror related and
- 7:31Speaker 3: actually had good people involved william forsythe's directing one of
- 7:34Speaker 3: them so i mean it's everything involved was really cool
- 7:37Speaker 3: and then like every movie she brought up that she
- 7:38Speaker 3: watched i was like oh.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Really did she bring up anything i was like eat.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Pray love really no don't watch that no first wives
- 7:45Speaker 3: club stop god that's torture So, it was a weird
- 7:49Speaker 3: mixture from her. I did not expect that. She didn't
- 7:51Speaker 3: mention the notebook, did she?
- 7:52Speaker 5: Maybe she needs a break from all the horror movies.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I think that's what it is. I think it's to
- 7:57Speaker 3: balance that. I mean, think about it. If you spent
- 7:58Speaker 3: your entire life not only working on them, but every
- 8:01Speaker 3: other weekend you're at one of these things surrounded by
- 8:03Speaker 3: horror dorks.
- 8:05Speaker 4: They're so hot.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I like you on that one movie.
- 8:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I would get sick of them.
- 8:11Speaker 4: That was a good Ryan impression there.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You didn't hear me. Is that why.
- 8:15Speaker 5: She bought the stun gun from what I heard?
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, anyway. She did threaten to use it on me.
- 8:20Speaker 4: But you would probably like it.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I said it was okay if she wanted to. I
- 8:24Speaker 3: said I deserved it for something.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Did she bring the stun gun?
- 8:31Speaker 3: She hadn't bought it yet. She was going to get it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Immediately after talking to me, she felt the need to
- 8:37Speaker 3: buy a stun gun.
- 8:38Speaker 4: What does that tell you?
- 8:40Speaker 3: I'm not surprised.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I bought one too after I met him the first time.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Actually, I think I needed to buy one when I
- 8:46Speaker 3: met you. You were more obsessed with me back in
- 8:48Speaker 3: the day, but that's a whole different story.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that was a weird story.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to go on not knowing the story.
- 8:55Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 8:56Speaker 9: Well, I mean, there was a time for like a
- 8:58Speaker 9: period of a couple of months where I wasn't sure
- 9:00Speaker 9: whether or not Brian was a serial killer.
- 9:03Speaker 2: That's what this started with. Actually, three of us believed
- 9:07Speaker 2: that Brian was a serial killer.
- 9:08Speaker 4: So now you know, right?
- 9:09Speaker 2: We needed to investigate it. Yeah, yeah. That's all it was.
- 9:13Speaker 4: He's just so secretive. That's why he keeps moving every
- 9:15Speaker 4: couple of years.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah, the basement fills up. Yeah. There's only so many
- 9:20Speaker 3: holes you can bury people in the backyard, and you've
- 9:22Speaker 3: got to get a new backyard.
- 9:23Speaker 4: So your dog starts to dig them up. That's why
- 9:25Speaker 4: we have no dogs. We have a privacy fence. We learned.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 9:31Speaker 6: All right.
- 9:32Speaker 4: So marshmallow chicken.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Marshmallow chicken.
- 9:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Anything else from the weekends before we roll on into the.
- 9:39Speaker 7: I had MST3K marathon with the kid while you guys
- 9:42Speaker 7: were gone.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Not even like the good movies either.
- 9:46Speaker 7: No, the worst ones we could possibly watch. Mostly hurt elbowing.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Me to wake up. You're missing the best part.
- 9:55Speaker 4: There is no best part of this.
- 9:57Speaker 3: No, me sleeping is the best part.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Are we going into our regular geek stuff now?
- 10:02Speaker 3: I guess so. Are we done with that? If you're ready.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Geek it out.
- 10:06Speaker 3: So, yeah, yesterday I was stranded in the... Wonderful town
- 10:11Speaker 3: that is Bloomington, Indiana.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I know you called me.
- 10:13Speaker 3: You're like, I'm bored.
- 10:15Speaker 9: Why were you stranded in Bloomington?
- 10:17Speaker 4: I guess you're going to get to that.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I actually had a reason for being there. I
- 10:21Speaker 3: didn't get a hold of him beforehand, but when I
- 10:23Speaker 3: looked at his page, I think he was in Illinois
- 10:25Speaker 3: or somewhere. So, yeah, you know he doesn't stay in
- 10:27Speaker 3: his town for more than a day at any given time.
- 10:30Speaker 3: He's got pretty eyes. I messaged him and was like,
- 10:32Speaker 3: I was in Bloomington yesterday. There's not a lot to do,
- 10:34Speaker 3: is there? So, yeah, I was actually there for the
- 10:38Speaker 3: Dark Carnival Film Fest, which eventually I went back in
- 10:41Speaker 3: and actually watched some movies, so I can get to that. But, yeah, I...
- 10:44Speaker 3: I went to the.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Bluebird Cafe in Bloomington once. There's a lot of stuff
- 10:48Speaker 4: to do in Bloomington. If you have money, there's all
- 10:50Speaker 4: kinds of restaurants.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Well, half the stuff was closed, and the other half
- 10:54Speaker 3: was like, I'd look in the window and go like,
- 10:56Speaker 3: I don't want any of this crap, and I have
- 10:58Speaker 3: no money to buy it anyway, so what do I care?
- 11:00Speaker 3: So I was like, yeah, I got out of the theater,
- 11:02Speaker 3: which we'll get to that in a minute. The theater's
- 11:03Speaker 3: pretty awesome. But I was like, I can walk around
- 11:05Speaker 3: the little town square here, and I was like, all right, well,
- 11:07Speaker 3: that was 15 minutes. Now what do I do for
- 11:09Speaker 3: the rest of the day?
- 11:10Speaker 9: So.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah. And then I called Greg and I forgot. You
- 11:14Speaker 3: actually have exposure to that town. You were there for
- 11:19Speaker 3: more of your life than you wanted to be?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, probably. Well, no, it's a good town.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Did you run out of gas?
- 11:26Speaker 4: You just couldn't get back in health?
- 11:29Speaker 2: No, I went to school there, grad school, and then
- 11:32Speaker 2: my wife and I stayed. So, yeah, it's a good town.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Like I said, if you have money, it's great restaurants.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Good arts there. uh if you want if you have
- 11:43Speaker 2: the time to search it out yeah but yeah there's.
- 11:45Speaker 9: A lot of um i mean in within a 200
- 11:49Speaker 9: mile radius i guess to louisville like the best music
- 11:52Speaker 9: comes out of.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Bloomington there's a lot of like Just Eddie. That's hard.
- 11:57Speaker 3: There's others.
- 11:57Speaker 4: There's like a lot of other people.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Oh, but yeah. So the actual reason I was there,
- 12:02Speaker 3: it was at the Indiana Theater, which is pretty awesome.
- 12:05Speaker 3: They have refurbished it. It doesn't look like it used to.
- 12:08Speaker 3: There were pictures of it from back in the 30s
- 12:10Speaker 3: that I was hoping like the interior of the theater
- 12:12Speaker 3: itself actually looked like that. No, it's all like fancy
- 12:15Speaker 3: and new now, which, you know, for the investors, they
- 12:17Speaker 3: think that's awesome. I was kind of hoping it looked
- 12:19Speaker 3: more nostalgic-like, but... It's an awesome theater regardless. It does
- 12:24Speaker 3: look really cool. Other than that, movie-wise, I actually ended
- 12:29Speaker 3: up better because I'm pretty leery on a lot of
- 12:32Speaker 3: indie film stuff. In horror, usually you get a lot of...
- 12:37Speaker 3: really cheap, pieced together stuff. I was kind of surprised
- 12:40Speaker 3: some of the stuff I ended up watching. Actually, just
- 12:42Speaker 3: about all of it. I didn't really have any complaints.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I just went in expecting things to be really bad,
- 12:47Speaker 3: and most of the stuff I saw was pretty impressive.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And I think it helps that they're short films. I
- 12:52Speaker 3: think people put almost more time and effort into these
- 12:54Speaker 3: short films, and you almost get a better level of...
- 12:57Speaker 3: time you gotta yeah and you don't have time to
- 13:00Speaker 3: like drag it out and make your story suck so
- 13:02Speaker 3: it's like you've really got to keep it concise and
- 13:05Speaker 3: you know knock out whatever it is you're trying to
- 13:06Speaker 3: do and you know nine minutes to 20 minutes or
- 13:09Speaker 3: you know it's everything was pretty pretty short until you
- 13:12Speaker 3: got the last one but uh of the few i
- 13:14Speaker 3: saw let's see dare amtrag Which would be the proposal,
- 13:18Speaker 3: but I don't want to say the proposal because that's
- 13:19Speaker 3: going to confuse the hell out of people.
- 13:20Speaker 4: You can watch that movie.
- 13:22Speaker 3: It's definitely not that Sandra Bullock movie.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Ryan Reynolds?
- 13:26Speaker 3: If Ryan Reynolds, like, axed somebody in the head, yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I would totally watch that. If he axed Sandra Bullock
- 13:32Speaker 4: in the head. No, I like Sandra Bullock.
- 13:34Speaker 3: I like Sandra Bullock.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sandra Bullock. Axing Ryan Reynolds in the head.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I like him too. I think they both got together
- 13:39Speaker 4: and axed Meg Ryan.
- 13:40Speaker 9: In the face.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I think a lot of people would be on board
- 13:44Speaker 3: for that.
- 13:44Speaker 2: That is a proposal right there.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But yeah, that one was super short. It's like seven
- 13:49Speaker 3: minutes total. And I think that's including the credits. Because
- 13:52Speaker 3: before you know what's going on, it's over with already.
- 13:54Speaker 3: But it's pretty awesome. And it's from Germany. I realized
- 13:59Speaker 3: midway through. She started talking. I wasn't even paying attention
- 14:02Speaker 3: enough to figure out what it was. So I was like,
- 14:03Speaker 3: I better figure out where they're from.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Because.
- 14:06Speaker 3: In seven minutes, you don't even get a whole lot
- 14:07Speaker 3: of subtitles, so it was pretty awesome, actually. What else? Contact.
- 14:13Speaker 3: That was the one I was kind of let down by.
- 14:14Speaker 3: It's another one that's very short. It's just trying to
- 14:17Speaker 3: be weird for the sake of being weird. Lots of
- 14:19Speaker 3: crazy visuals and moving the camera around a lot and
- 14:23Speaker 3: fast editing, but I'm not even sure what story they were...
- 14:26Speaker 3: I mean, I know what they were trying to do, but...
- 14:28Speaker 3: Not enough to make it worth making the movie. So
- 14:30Speaker 3: that was probably the one I was least impressed with,
- 14:32Speaker 3: was Contact.
- 14:33Speaker 4: That's already a movie, too.
- 14:35Speaker 10: Yeah, that, too.
- 14:35Speaker 4: They need to come up with more original names for
- 14:37Speaker 4: these movies.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I can't blame the one from Germany, because that might
- 14:40Speaker 3: not even be officially what it was over there. It
- 14:43Speaker 3: probably is. It looks like it was. But either way,
- 14:46Speaker 3: they didn't know what they were doing. They're in Germany.
- 14:48Speaker 3: They don't know what's going on.
- 14:49Speaker 2: In Hollywood, anyway.
- 14:51Speaker 3: But yeah, the next one was Night of the Punks.
- 14:54Speaker 3: It's entertaining. I think it's played at other festivals, so
- 14:56Speaker 3: people might have seen that one, but it is kind
- 14:59Speaker 3: of a Return of the Living Dead feel to it.
- 15:02Speaker 3: It is like punk rock kids and zombies, so it's
- 15:05Speaker 3: kind of fun. I like the fact they don't take
- 15:08Speaker 3: themselves seriously. It has a little issues with the acting,
- 15:11Speaker 3: I would almost say. It Sometimes I think they probably
- 15:15Speaker 3: needed like another take because I don't think that the
- 15:17Speaker 3: actors are bad. I think it's almost like they just
- 15:19Speaker 3: needed to get like the timing right on it or
- 15:21Speaker 3: like maybe edit it a little quicker or something. It's
- 15:23Speaker 3: like everybody involved is actually does an okay job. But yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 3: they just a few things could have been tweaked and
- 15:29Speaker 3: it probably would be like something that you really could
- 15:31Speaker 3: show to, you know, normal audiences. But even for then,
- 15:35Speaker 3: you know, for festival short films, I was pretty impressed
- 15:38Speaker 3: with it. It's got some some fun ideas there. So
- 15:40Speaker 3: it was it was kind of cool. Um, now this one, uh,
- 15:43Speaker 3: actually when I was talking to Don Reese a couple
- 15:45Speaker 3: of weeks ago, when he sat in with this, he
- 15:47Speaker 3: was telling me about this and luckily they played it there.
- 15:49Speaker 3: It's called the United monster talent agency. I believe it's
- 15:54Speaker 3: on YouTube. Go find it. Cause again, if, especially if
- 15:57Speaker 3: you're a horror dork or especially an old school more
- 16:00Speaker 3: horror dork, if you're like a monster kid, it's awesome
- 16:03Speaker 3: because they do it like a newsreel, like a newsreel
- 16:05Speaker 3: from like the forties or something. And, uh, it's basically
- 16:09Speaker 3: if monsters were real, uh, So it's got them.
- 16:11Speaker 4: You mean they're not?
- 16:12Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it's like, it's got them shooting a
- 16:14Speaker 3: scene with, like, the creature from the Black Lagoon, and
- 16:15Speaker 3: then they're, like, cut, and they, like, throw a net
- 16:17Speaker 3: over him, and they're, like, tasering him into a cage, and, like,
- 16:20Speaker 3: if monsters were real.
- 16:21Speaker 6: So it's like by over at Marlena's house.
- 16:24Speaker 3: This would be the talent agency that represents them. So
- 16:26Speaker 3: the whole thing is, like, you know, them actually, like, okay, we've,
- 16:29Speaker 3: you know, we're shooting this scene with Wolfman... Now he's turned. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 3: dart gun him so we can move on to the
- 16:34Speaker 3: next scene before he kills everybody. So, yeah, it's actually
- 16:38Speaker 3: really done. It's actually done by Greg Nicotero. So it's actually, like,
- 16:42Speaker 3: pretty high-end quality. I think Dana Gould was one of
- 16:45Speaker 3: the actors in it. And what's the fucking Cabin Fever,
- 16:50Speaker 3: the director?
- 16:50Speaker 4: Eli Roth.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Eli Roth got a little part in it. So, yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 3: he's at least kind of bringing in recognizable people. So
- 16:56Speaker 3: it's definitely worth watching. It's a lot of fun if
- 16:58Speaker 3: you're a horror geek especially. Enter the Dark was one
- 17:04Speaker 3: that was, again, it's very Paranormal Activity-esque. It's stealing from that,
- 17:09Speaker 3: but the scares in it are almost worth watching. I
- 17:12Speaker 3: think there almost needed to be a little more wrap-up
- 17:15Speaker 3: to it, but, you know, it's 17 minutes, and it's
- 17:18Speaker 3: nothing but them kind of trying to find a ghost,
- 17:21Speaker 3: and there's some creepy little scares in there, so that
- 17:23Speaker 3: one's almost worth watching. And there's one called Demiurge Emmys.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I think, I don't know. It's three minutes, but it's
- 17:32Speaker 3: stop motion animation. It's, uh, so it took four years
- 17:36Speaker 3: to make, probably, but it looks awesome. It's really weird
- 17:39Speaker 3: and creepy. And it was narrated by, um, Danny Helfman.
- 17:43Speaker 3: So I was like, yeah, this is, this is worth watching.
- 17:45Speaker 3: So I'm hoping that one's online. Cause I want to
- 17:47Speaker 3: go watch it again. Cause it was so, it was
- 17:49Speaker 3: so quick. I was just like, this animation is awesome. Ah,
- 17:51Speaker 3: it's over. So yeah, it's, uh, Demi urge E M
- 17:56Speaker 3: E S I S.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 17:59Speaker 3: No telling what it's from. They made it in New York.
- 18:01Speaker 3: So I wasn't even sure if it was like a
- 18:03Speaker 3: foreign director, their name's kind of weird. So it probably
- 18:06Speaker 3: is actually, but yeah, I'm not sure what that means.
- 18:09Speaker 3: And then rounded it out with, um, Prometheus project, which
- 18:12Speaker 3: has now, that's the director's name and he likes that one.
- 18:15Speaker 3: So of course the producers and the guys who have
- 18:17Speaker 3: the money have now changed it to the less impressive,
- 18:21Speaker 3: the Frankenstein syndrome. Actually, the movie's not bad. It's, um, it,
- 18:26Speaker 3: it stars your, your favorite girl, Tiffany Shepard's. Who doesn't
- 18:30Speaker 3: do a bad job? It's one of those I always
- 18:32Speaker 3: go in with low expectations for her because she's in
- 18:34Speaker 3: such low-budget stuff. But the stuff I've seen of her,
- 18:37Speaker 3: she's actually really good in. So this is kind of
- 18:39Speaker 3: one of those. She does a decent job with what
- 18:41Speaker 3: she's given. The first half of it is kind of slow.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I think they could have trimmed a good 15 minutes
- 18:47Speaker 3: out of the first half easily. But once you get
- 18:50Speaker 3: to the second half of the movie, it's a really
- 18:52Speaker 3: good story. It actually is like these weird scientists, and
- 18:55Speaker 3: they're playing with stem cell research. And they start testing
- 18:58Speaker 3: it on human beings. And by the end, you get
- 19:01Speaker 3: a really cool wrap-up. And there's sort of a main
- 19:04Speaker 3: character slash, I guess, villain as the story goes on
- 19:07Speaker 3: that he does a really good job, too. So that
- 19:10Speaker 3: is one I would... I think this was the first
- 19:12Speaker 3: time they ever showed it was at the film festival yesterday.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It's just finished getting edited and everything. So it's actually
- 19:17Speaker 3: worth looking for. Again, when you find it on DVD,
- 19:20Speaker 3: if it ever gets distribution, it's probably going to be
- 19:23Speaker 3: the Frankenstein syndrome. So... Ignore that retarded name and, you know,
- 19:27Speaker 3: watch it anyway because it's actually pretty awesome. So that
- 19:30Speaker 3: was most of what I did other than an extra
- 19:32Speaker 3: little bonus, which I'll get to at the end of
- 19:34Speaker 3: the show. But that was the majority of my day
- 19:36Speaker 3: was hanging around, standing around in the lobby of this
- 19:40Speaker 3: theater waiting for the next... Again, that whole run was
- 19:44Speaker 3: in one. I just went in and sat down for
- 19:45Speaker 3: that entire stretch. The rest of the time... And I
- 19:47Speaker 3: was there for about 12 hours.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Yesterday, so.
- 19:50Speaker 3: the rest of the time was me just standing in
- 19:52Speaker 3: the lobby, walking up and down the street. Calling you
- 19:55Speaker 3: guys to bug you because I didn't have anything else
- 19:57Speaker 3: to do.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Maybe your car so they didn't tell it.
- 19:59Speaker 3: What is up with that two hour fucking bullshit?
- 20:02Speaker 2: I worked right across the street from there and had
- 20:04Speaker 2: to leave and go out and move my car every
- 20:07Speaker 2: two hours.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Luckily I hit it right about a four hour cycle
- 20:11Speaker 3: so I moved it once and then it was the
- 20:13Speaker 3: cut off time so I didn't have to worry about
- 20:14Speaker 3: it anymore but yeah that was regarded too. But yeah
- 20:18Speaker 3: that was the bulk of my week since last week's
- 20:22Speaker 3: Horror Hound fun.
- 20:24Speaker 2: The meat next time?
- 20:25Speaker 6: I suppose.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I started watching the British television show Survivors. It's about
- 20:32Speaker 2: a virus that wipes out 95% of Earth.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I think I've heard pretty good stuff about that.
- 20:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: I watched the first episode, which is like a movie,
- 20:40Speaker 2: and then two additional episodes beyond that. It's all about
- 20:45Speaker 2: that Lord of the Flies, the leftover people, what's going
- 20:49Speaker 2: to happen, and how societies start in little pockets of
- 20:54Speaker 2: They come across people that they've kept themselves in from
- 20:57Speaker 2: the virus and they won't come out and they're dying.
- 21:01Speaker 2: It's one of those shows that pushes you to that,
- 21:04Speaker 2: what would you do? How would you react? What type
- 21:06Speaker 2: of person would you be? They've got... Some societies of
- 21:10Speaker 2: looters and some societies of people that are trying to
- 21:12Speaker 2: be the government. And then there's the whole, along with it,
- 21:16Speaker 2: there's the, did the government actually cause this? Is this really,
- 21:21Speaker 2: maybe this was happening. So it's a pretty well-produced show.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I'm hoping it's not. I think there's two seasons of
- 21:26Speaker 2: it so far and six episodes apiece. So I'm not
- 21:31Speaker 2: investing too much of my life into it. But it's
- 21:33Speaker 2: really well done so far. I'm impressed with it. Um, uh,
- 21:37Speaker 2: the other thing, the big thing, the big movie that
- 21:40Speaker 2: I didn't get to see this week was that the good,
- 21:42Speaker 2: the bad and the weird.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I've heard a lot that we didn't cover it cause
- 21:46Speaker 3: every show out there covered it as soon as it
- 21:49Speaker 3: came available in whatever format. So, um, yeah, that's why
- 21:52Speaker 3: we left it alone. But I've heard a lot of
- 21:54Speaker 3: really good stuff.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It's, it's a lot of fun. It's two solid hours
- 21:58Speaker 2: of just action and, uh, people being a badass, you know? Um, um,
- 22:05Speaker 2: The cast, even though I don't speak Korean, the cast,
- 22:10Speaker 2: just their delivery of the lines, their mannerisms, the way
- 22:14Speaker 2: they carry themselves, everything about it is just extremely entertaining.
- 22:20Speaker 2: The visuals from it are wonderful. The action scenes, even
- 22:24Speaker 2: though they're over the top, are just incredible. Just the
- 22:28Speaker 2: camera angles, how they chose to shoot them, all of
- 22:31Speaker 2: that were fantastic. And it's a good storyline. It's based on, obviously,
- 22:36Speaker 2: the good, the bad, and the ugly. So you know
- 22:39Speaker 2: where it's going at the end. You know what's going
- 22:40Speaker 2: to happen at the end. But still, yeah, it's a
- 22:43Speaker 2: good story. They did a very good job. Because I've seen,
- 22:48Speaker 2: I'd like to compare and contrast. I haven't seen the good,
- 22:50Speaker 2: the bad, and the ugly for probably 15 years. It
- 22:54Speaker 2: almost seems like, I don't know if this theory would
- 22:56Speaker 2: hold up, but it almost seems like in Korean films,
- 22:58Speaker 2: everything is more at stake. Everything is a little bit
- 23:03Speaker 2: ratcheted up a little bit, and I don't know if
- 23:06Speaker 2: it's something about the culture. I know it's about the
- 23:09Speaker 2: culture at the time because they were stuck between imperialism
- 23:12Speaker 2: from both sides, and they were losing their identity and
- 23:15Speaker 2: everything with that. So everything was more important to them
- 23:18Speaker 2: at that time, but I don't know if that holds
- 23:20Speaker 2: up because I've seen Korean horror films, and it's more
- 23:23Speaker 2: than just, oh, am I going to survive? It seems
- 23:25Speaker 2: like everything is a little bit more intense or more...
- 23:30Speaker 2: Like the whole world's going to end if I don't live.
- 23:33Speaker 2: So I don't know what that is, but it makes
- 23:39Speaker 2: for a good two-hour movie. It's a fun two hours.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I highly recommend it. And then to throw on just
- 23:46Speaker 2: one little last thing, I did see IMAX last week.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I took my kids to see it. It's a stop-motion animation,
- 23:53Speaker 2: brand new. It's... like the night night before christmas um
- 23:59Speaker 2: but it's told from a little bit different angle but
- 24:03Speaker 2: mostly it's just for the animation that you're there for
- 24:06Speaker 2: it's it's high high quality and they use it's it's
- 24:08Speaker 2: called the light before christmas and it's the story of
- 24:12Speaker 2: a a candle maker and he actually was a helper
- 24:15Speaker 2: with everything in it but it's it's how they use
- 24:18Speaker 2: lighting and the candles throughout you know the stop motion
- 24:21Speaker 2: animation that is is fantastic and then at the end
- 24:24Speaker 2: They do about a 10-minute piece on how they create it.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So they show you the puppets. They show you... And
- 24:30Speaker 2: it's very well done.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Was this like normal theatrically released?
- 24:34Speaker 2: IMAX came out in IMAX last week at the Science
- 24:38Speaker 2: Center here.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I was going to say. The science
- 24:40Speaker 3: version of it. Because they put out totally... They will show...
- 24:44Speaker 3: different stuff that you don't get at, like, your Cineplex
- 24:47Speaker 3: that claims to be IMAX.
- 24:49Speaker 2: This is real, yeah, science center IMAX.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Which is usually way more impressive.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Sure, sure. Now, this was well worth the $ 5 of
- 24:55Speaker 2: going and seeing as well.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 25:00Speaker 2: That's my week, other than Turkzilla.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Other than Turkzilla, which is still impending doom in the
- 25:05Speaker 3: other room.
- 25:06Speaker 4: I'm excited and a little nervous.
- 25:08Speaker 9: Too.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I didn't do that much. I actually, I read a book.
- 25:11Speaker 3: The hell?
- 25:12Speaker 4: I read a motherfucking book. There were no pictures.
- 25:14Speaker 5: You read lots of books, though.
- 25:15Speaker 4: No pop-ups. I read the Night of the Living Trekkies.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Oh, Lord.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 25:20Speaker 4: It was entertaining, just as long as you don't go
- 25:22Speaker 4: into it expecting way too much. It's a good, fun,
- 25:25Speaker 4: easy read. It's just like, you're reading, you're like, ha, ha, ha.
- 25:29Speaker 6: But you're not like you know serious about it it's
- 25:31Speaker 6: fun there's zombies there's zombies.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I still don't understand why they even bothered making a
- 25:35Speaker 3: book just go ahead and make the movie I just
- 25:38Speaker 3: want to see the movie we watched the trailer the
- 25:40Speaker 3: fake made up trailer that they made for the book
- 25:42Speaker 3: and I'm like that's hilarious just make this cheesy movie yeah.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Yeah, it's about a guy who apparently was in the
- 25:48Speaker 6: army during the war, and he was all kinds of
- 25:50Speaker 6: fucked up. So when he got back, he wanted a
- 25:52Speaker 6: job where he would have no responsibilities, so that way
- 25:54Speaker 6: if anybody died, it wasn't his fault. So he came
- 25:56Speaker 6: to Bellhop at a hotel. At the hotel where the
- 25:59Speaker 6: convention for Star Trek is going to take place. Yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 6: so all these geeks are showing up, then apparently there's
- 26:06Speaker 6: some big thing, there's a big backstory with.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Fucking zombies or whatever.
- 26:12Speaker 6: So he's trying to, they're holed up in this hotel
- 26:14Speaker 6: trying to escape the zombies as they're all getting, you know, inundated.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Yeah, there's zombies everywhere.
- 26:21Speaker 6: There's fucking zombie Klingons and there's just geek references out
- 26:24Speaker 6: the ass on this. It's constant geek references, which I'm
- 26:28Speaker 6: a geek, so I'm okay with that, but it's not
- 26:30Speaker 6: like over geekified about it but i enjoyed it it's
- 26:33Speaker 6: there was no pictures like it would have been more
- 26:35Speaker 6: awesome if there was pop-ups.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah you can't argue with that i did look at the.
- 26:42Speaker 6: Night before christmas pop-up today and i was pretty excited
- 26:45Speaker 6: yeah it's awesome you.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Need to start like a pop-up book club.
- 26:48Speaker 6: I just bought one for jesse for christmas it's the
- 26:51Speaker 6: uh Oh, she doesn't listen to this, so I have to.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Yeah, she doesn't get what we do.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I wanted a Wizard of Oz pop-up, so I was
- 26:56Speaker 4: showing Jayla, and I'm like, dude, look how.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Fucking awesome this is.
- 26:58Speaker 5: It is probably by far the most intricate pop-up book
- 27:00Speaker 5: I've ever seen.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Is there a Twister pop-up?
- 27:02Speaker 5: There was shit that was popping out of this damn book.
- 27:05Speaker 4: It's a tornado, and it twisted.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Oh, my fuck.
- 27:07Speaker 5: No, it's a tornado twisted out of the damn book.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I was like, how the fuck did that happen? I
- 27:11Speaker 3: was like, what the fuck is this shit?
- 27:12Speaker 4: Seriously, I just didn't look at it for like.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I was like trying to figure out how the damn
- 27:15Speaker 3: thing works.
- 27:15Speaker 4: It's magic.
- 27:16Speaker 5: I gotta figure out how shit works.
- 27:17Speaker 4: It's magic, baby. It's magic.
- 27:18Speaker 7: And then within the pop-up book, like you'd open the
- 27:20Speaker 7: pop-up book and it would fucking pop out there would
- 27:22Speaker 7: be other pages that had little pop-outs that would pop
- 27:24Speaker 7: out and I was like there's fucking shit popping out
- 27:26Speaker 7: all over the place and I was like fuck let's
- 27:29Speaker 7: do a pop-up book podcast there you go that would
- 27:33Speaker 7: have to be a video podcast this week the visuals
- 27:36Speaker 7: wouldn't hold up this week we're going to discuss in depth.
- 27:41Speaker 6: The Wizard of Oz pop-up book but yeah they're not
- 27:43Speaker 6: in the living track it was a fun good read
- 27:45Speaker 6: it was fun.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Of course it had a happy ending so it wasn't
- 27:48Speaker 4: too dramatic But.
- 27:50Speaker 6: Other than that, we watched, we didn't watch that much
- 27:52Speaker 6: stuff together, but together we watched The Ghost of Maynock.
- 27:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 3: It was kind of.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Disappointed, long, had pointless storylines that come out of nowhere
- 28:00Speaker 6: and then just go nowhere.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Drop.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Yeah, there were characters that were like, oh, this is
- 28:04Speaker 5: going to be important. This guy's going to be very pivotal.
- 28:06Speaker 3: To the entire movie.
- 28:06Speaker 6: Like the creepy stalker ex-boyfriend who's always like hanging around
- 28:09Speaker 6: in dark alleys.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Hey.
- 28:10Speaker 7: And then you don't know what happens to him because
- 28:12Speaker 7: he just kind of exits the story somehow.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Like he shows up doing something creepy and then like.
- 28:16Speaker 2: They don't follow it.
- 28:17Speaker 4: It's just like, okay, what the fuck is the point
- 28:19Speaker 4: of this guy?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Thanks for leading me down that path.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yeah, really.
- 28:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's like, it's I guess kind of like
- 28:24Speaker 6: a sequel of Nangnock. Not like a sequel, but kind
- 28:28Speaker 6: of like.
- 28:28Speaker 5: A continuation of the story.
- 28:30Speaker 4: It's a Thai legend.
- 28:31Speaker 6: It's this really big Thai legend about this ghost and everything.
- 28:34Speaker 6: And the actual story is really interesting. And Nangnock is really.
- 28:38Speaker 4: A good movie.
- 28:39Speaker 5: It's a good movie.
- 28:40Speaker 4: And it's sad.
- 28:40Speaker 5: It's one of those movies that's been remade so many
- 28:42Speaker 5: times in time.
- 28:44Speaker 4: I haven't seen that many, but Nangnock's probably my favorite.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Yeah, my mom saw it at the drive-in when she
- 28:49Speaker 5: was a teenager.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Not the same movie, though, right?
- 28:52Speaker 5: No, not the exact same movie.
- 28:53Speaker 4: The same story.
- 28:54Speaker 3: The same story.
- 28:55Speaker 5: They've made movies of that same story for years.
- 28:59Speaker 7: But she saw it when she was a teenager and
- 29:01Speaker 7: said it scared the crap out of her.
- 29:02Speaker 5: She didn't want to walk back to the village.
- 29:04Speaker 3: That was in Thailand. That's in Thailand. I'm just picturing
- 29:06Speaker 3: a drive-in in Thailand. Yeah. That's kind of awesome, actually.
- 29:09Speaker 5: It was a drive-in, but if you think about it,
- 29:11Speaker 5: it wasn't.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Did they have cars?
- 29:11Speaker 5: Not so much cars. It was just like the whole village.
- 29:14Speaker 4: They bring their wagons?
- 29:15Speaker 7: Well, they would set up a theater screen, and then
- 29:17Speaker 7: the village would just show up, and people would sit
- 29:19Speaker 7: down on the grass and watch these movies.
- 29:21Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 29:24Speaker 5: But she refuses still to watch it to this day.
- 29:26Speaker 3: She won't watch it.
- 29:26Speaker 5: I was like, Thomas, it's a good movie.
- 29:29Speaker 4: It does have a scene where it's kind of like, ugh.
- 29:31Speaker 3: It's spooky.
- 29:32Speaker 7: It's sad and kind of freaky, but Mom's just freaked
- 29:35Speaker 7: out by it.
- 29:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but she's from Thailand, though, so man they have
- 29:38Speaker 6: a lot more they're a lot more superstitious there's.
- 29:41Speaker 7: A lot more stuff that happens outside of the United
- 29:46Speaker 7: States and maybe a lot of people don't believe in
- 29:49Speaker 7: ghosts because we've been so conditioned here in just our
- 29:52Speaker 7: thinking and stuff like that maybe we're a society of
- 29:55Speaker 7: you know modern everything science and stuff like that but
- 29:59Speaker 7: You know, there's shit when I was over in Thailand and.
- 30:01Speaker 5: I saw that I never fucking thought I would see.
- 30:04Speaker 7: And there's a lot of shit that goes on that
- 30:06Speaker 7: I believe in a lot of supernatural stuff.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Wasn't her, like, sister possessed?
- 30:10Speaker 3: Her sister was.
- 30:10Speaker 7: Possessed, yeah.
- 30:12Speaker 4: By a demon?
- 30:12Speaker 3: By a demon, yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 7: And I forgot they had to get a, it was
- 30:17Speaker 7: either a monk to cast it out. And you see
- 30:21Speaker 7: all types of weird shit. You see some weird fucking
- 30:23Speaker 7: shit over there.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Crazy. Yeah, yeah, there's some crazy stuff. So, I mean,
- 30:27Speaker 5: a lot of it, Like, you see a.
- 30:29Speaker 7: Lot of the Asian horror movies, a lot of that
- 30:32Speaker 7: stuff's kind of based in.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Truth, you know.
- 30:34Speaker 3: There's a lot of possessions over there. Stuff that you
- 30:37Speaker 3: wouldn't believe in over here.
- 30:38Speaker 7: And a lot of people just kind of discount it,
- 30:40Speaker 7: you know, which is fine.
- 30:41Speaker 2: You know, believe what you want to believe in.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Here it's all just, like, a cheesy reality show.
- 30:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 3: That's the only thing we associate with ghosts now in
- 30:48Speaker 3: the last ten years.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Ah, yeah, it's a stupid movie, you know.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Or they're just playing this shit up, so.
- 30:54Speaker 6: Yeah, but The Ghost of Maynard was kind of a
- 30:56Speaker 6: disappointment if you want to watch... Just watch Ning-Nag, because
- 30:59Speaker 6: that one's really good.
- 31:00Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 31:01Speaker 4: But other than that, I didn't watch anything else. You
- 31:03Speaker 4: watched a shitload of stuff.
- 31:04Speaker 5: I didn't watch a shitload of stuff.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I watched.
- 31:05Speaker 6: Other than your Mystery Science Theater.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Other than the Mystery Science Theater marathon.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Jeez.
- 31:12Speaker 7: I'm not going to go into that, because it was
- 31:13Speaker 7: just too many of them, and I don't remember the
- 31:15Speaker 7: names of all of them.
- 31:16Speaker 2: You shouldn't.
- 31:17Speaker 7: And like I said, it was mostly my kid elbowing me,
- 31:20Speaker 7: telling me to wake up.
- 31:21Speaker 3: You know, come on, you're missing the best parts.
- 31:23Speaker 4: So.
- 31:24Speaker 3: But, no, I sat down and watched.
- 31:26Speaker 7: The 1966 film The Wild Angels with Peter Fonda because
- 31:33Speaker 7: I was getting into my 60s biker movies.
- 31:37Speaker 6: He brought his cheat sheet because now his phone has
- 31:39Speaker 6: the internet, so he's been sitting there.
- 31:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I wasn't a responsible podcaster and write my shit.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Down, so I did.
- 31:46Speaker 4: You didn't take notes.
- 31:47Speaker 5: I don't take notes on shit.
- 31:48Speaker 4: No research.
- 31:49Speaker 5: No research.
- 31:50Speaker 3: No.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Mainly, I just watched it for the bikes because.
- 31:54Speaker 7: uh i'm in the middle of building a 60s kind
- 31:57Speaker 7: of bsa so my buddy was like oh you gotta
- 31:59Speaker 7: watch the wild angels they got some awesome bikes in
- 32:01Speaker 7: there you know the acting's okay but the storyline's kind
- 32:04Speaker 7: of goofy whatever it's still a good movie it was
- 32:07Speaker 7: funny uh i liked it kind of kind of odd
- 32:10Speaker 7: uh actually had uh real members from the hell's angels
- 32:15Speaker 7: in it so the actual hell's angels were in the
- 32:17Speaker 7: movie A little harder by Peter Fonda as the head
- 32:19Speaker 7: of the Hells Angels.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Whatever, you know.
- 32:22Speaker 12: I don't buy him as the head of any of these. Yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 12: it was a good kind of 60s biker movie. A
- 32:29Speaker 12: lot of weird, weird, weird, weird scenes. So, I mean,
- 32:33Speaker 12: for a 60s movie, it had a lot of heavy
- 32:35Speaker 12: stuff in it. And then, still kind of on the
- 32:41Speaker 12: martial arts.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Time movie kick, I watched the 2008 movie Chocolate.
- 32:48Speaker 7: Which I don't know if any of you guys heard
- 32:49Speaker 7: about that or if anybody's into martial arts movies, but
- 32:53Speaker 7: if you've seen, I'm trying to think of any of
- 32:56Speaker 7: Tony Jaa's stuff, on Bach and stuff like that, this
- 33:03Speaker 7: kind of throws a female in it and takes it
- 33:07Speaker 7: up to like the 900th level of anything he could
- 33:10Speaker 7: possibly do.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Does she turn it up to 11?
- 33:12Speaker 5: It is fucking awesome. I.
- 33:16Speaker 7: Don't know if I pronounced her name right, so I'm sorry,
- 33:18Speaker 7: but I think it's Zizha Yan Yin. But it's about
- 33:24Speaker 7: an autistic girl who picks up watching martial arts. Well,
- 33:29Speaker 7: she picks up watching Thai boxers at this school that's
- 33:33Speaker 7: right next to her apartment, and she watches TV and
- 33:36Speaker 7: stuff like that, and her mom falls ill, and she
- 33:40Speaker 7: finds this book, or I think her brother finds this
- 33:42Speaker 7: book of people that owe her money, and she basically
- 33:44Speaker 7: goes and kicks everybody's ass.
- 33:47Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 33:48Speaker 7: Because apparently, I mean, I guess it's the world's first
- 33:51Speaker 7: autistic superhero.
- 33:52Speaker 5: I mean, it's the one thing that she can do.
- 33:54Speaker 7: I mean, if you know autistic people, they have this
- 33:57Speaker 7: one thing that they can do that they're just like.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Like savants. Yeah, it's just like unreal, you know, like.
- 34:05Speaker 5: I can't even think of any ideas. I think one
- 34:07Speaker 5: of my friends ran into somebody that.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Like Rain Man.
- 34:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I've never seen that movie.
- 34:12Speaker 5: So he was into stacked things. He was into stacking
- 34:16Speaker 5: and balancing things.
- 34:17Speaker 7: So he was going into the basement to do something,
- 34:19Speaker 7: and there were these things that were just odd things
- 34:22Speaker 7: that were stacked up and balanced, and he was just
- 34:24Speaker 7: looking around going, how the fuck did this kid do this?
- 34:27Speaker 7: And she's like, oh, he's got autism. He just does
- 34:30Speaker 7: this sort of thing. But anyways, this girl, her thing is...
- 34:35Speaker 7: kicking ass this movie is just like good god i
- 34:39Speaker 7: mean yeah it's okay it's a martial arts movie so
- 34:41Speaker 7: don't go in expecting a huge storyline or or the
- 34:45Speaker 7: greatest acting in the world you just go in there
- 34:47Speaker 7: watching it for this girl kicking people's asses uh for
- 34:51Speaker 7: her mom um this.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Girl does several movies though like she's.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Done several movies there's a couple other ones that i
- 34:58Speaker 7: want to see that i can't remember the name right
- 35:00Speaker 7: off the top of my head for um But if
- 35:03Speaker 7: you want, you can always get on Yahoo and.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Google chocolate trailer.
- 35:06Speaker 4: Just not Chocolat.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Not Chocolat.
- 35:10Speaker 3: At first I was like, I remember that movie.
- 35:13Speaker 7: It'll lead you to some other movies that she's been in.
- 35:18Speaker 7: But yeah, she's just a really good acrobat, really good.
- 35:21Speaker 4: And she'd do all her own stunts.
- 35:23Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 5: Oh, good Lord, the stunts in this movie.
- 35:26Speaker 3: It's amazed.
- 35:27Speaker 7: I can't... I can't understand how... thai filmmakers can afford
- 35:32Speaker 7: the insurance on these movies because the amount.
- 35:36Speaker 12: Of people the amount.
- 35:38Speaker 5: Of people that get hurt in this film is just.
- 35:41Speaker 6: Unbelievable cut out scene where a guy felt like several.
- 35:44Speaker 7: Yeah it's like at the end of the movie they
- 35:46Speaker 7: show all the outtakes and there's like towards the end
- 35:49Speaker 7: of the movie not really spoiling anything but there's this
- 35:51Speaker 7: huge fight that takes uh place on the side of
- 35:55Speaker 7: this building that's like maybe four stories high with balconies, but.
- 35:59Speaker 3: None of the balconies have railings on them.
- 36:01Speaker 5: They're just outcrops. So she's like jumping.
- 36:04Speaker 7: From outcrop to outcrop and swinging off these signs and
- 36:07Speaker 7: fighting people and throwing people off the side of this.
- 36:11Speaker 5: One of the outtakes, she kicks this.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Guy or something, I don't even remember what it is,
- 36:15Speaker 7: but he falls like three stories, hits his back or
- 36:18Speaker 7: his head on on one of these balconies and then
- 36:22Speaker 7: hits the ground, but he's okay.
- 36:23Speaker 5: I'm like, what the hell? That would have killed me. Geez,
- 36:26Speaker 5: he lands on the street.
- 36:27Speaker 3: How is that possible? I know. Some of the fight,
- 36:31Speaker 3: they go back and show all of them.
- 36:32Speaker 7: There's a couple parts where they actually end up kicking
- 36:34Speaker 7: each other and hurting each other.
- 36:36Speaker 3: It's, geez. I would say that's why you would shoot
- 36:39Speaker 3: a movie like that there, so you don't have to
- 36:41Speaker 3: get injured.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Probably, but as far as action, it looks believable. It
- 36:45Speaker 5: doesn't look like any.
- 36:47Speaker 7: cheesy you know no strings yeah no strings no flying
- 36:50Speaker 7: wires or anything like that i mean there's a lot
- 36:53Speaker 7: of a lot of getting the shit beat out of
- 36:55Speaker 7: people which.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Is pretty believable fighting you mean it's.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Not bulletproof monk no no no.
- 37:00Speaker 13: It's no it's no uh fucking american remade trying to
- 37:04Speaker 13: copy off of asian film cinema stuff it's it's all
- 37:08Speaker 13: pretty real stuff so i mean if you like uh
- 37:11Speaker 13: if you like the protector.
- 37:12Speaker 5: And any of those Tony Jaa movies, then this is
- 37:15Speaker 5: pretty good.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I liked it.
- 37:18Speaker 5: I liked it better than Owen Block, but.
- 37:20Speaker 3: That's just me, so whatever. But I think that's about it.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Did we watch another movie together?
- 37:26Speaker 4: I already talked about the ones you made me watch,
- 37:29Speaker 4: In the Mouth of Madness.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Oh, you already talked about that one?
- 37:31Speaker 3: I talked about how much I hated that movie. She
- 37:32Speaker 3: complained about those last year. You know, I.
- 37:34Speaker 4: And Frozen, with the puppies that like to ski.
- 37:36Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it was okay.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I inadvertently have a copy of that if anyone needs it.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Which one? Frozen.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Did you like Frozen?
- 37:45Speaker 2: There were parts of it I liked. Most of it
- 37:47Speaker 2: I was yelling at the people.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Yeah, me too.
- 37:49Speaker 5: I was yelling at the whole fucking movie.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Fucking pull your hat up. Fucking zip your jacket.
- 37:54Speaker 2: That was the one.
- 37:55Speaker 4: Put your damn gloves on.
- 37:56Speaker 2: It's like, if you've already got your hand stuck on
- 37:57Speaker 2: the rail, don't stick your face on the fucking rail.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 38:02Speaker 5: It's like, okay, you're fucked.
- 38:03Speaker 2: You're stuck.
- 38:05Speaker 7: Get the fuck down now. Don't wait until after you've
- 38:07Speaker 7: pissed and shit yourself. You've frozen half to death. You
- 38:10Speaker 7: can't feel your fucking hands.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Your other complaint was the fucking wire. The wire.
- 38:14Speaker 7: Oh, the wire's razor sharp.
- 38:16Speaker 3: What fucking wire's razor sharp? There ain't no goddamn fucking
- 38:19Speaker 3: cable that's razor sharp.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Or why not tie your clothes together and go slide
- 38:23Speaker 2: down the clothes? Or make a robot.
- 38:25Speaker 4: He was talking about belts the whole time.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Belts. And like shimmy on to the next one.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah, geez.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And then he's going to wait.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I know. Wolves? Really?
- 38:34Speaker 7: The wolves are going to attack him? I've never seen
- 38:36Speaker 7: wolves out in the wild. There's never been a... A
- 38:40Speaker 7: case of a wolf attack in the United States. They're
- 38:43Speaker 7: too fucking timid. They don't want to be around people.
- 38:46Speaker 7: That's why you rarely see them. But now they're going
- 38:48Speaker 7: to come out. I can understand since the guy had
- 38:49Speaker 7: his shins probably poking through his bones. But the other guy,
- 38:53Speaker 7: they're just running after him and attacking him.
- 38:55Speaker 3: You know what?
- 38:55Speaker 5: They all deserve to die.
- 38:57Speaker 2: He was on a sled. He made a sled. They're
- 39:01Speaker 2: chasing him.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Maybe on a snowboard or something. Maybe they're actually.
- 39:07Speaker 7: huskies they were they were sled dogs feral yeah they're
- 39:11Speaker 7: feral sled dogs and it was in their nature and
- 39:15Speaker 7: they were gonna pull that sled and they got pissed
- 39:17Speaker 7: off at him they're trying to catch it they're like
- 39:18Speaker 7: no no let us let us pull that come on
- 39:20Speaker 7: dude hold on i'm trying to help stop wait for
- 39:24Speaker 7: me yeah yeah bite him bite him that'll get him
- 39:27Speaker 7: to stop yeah turn his leg off yeah.
- 39:29Speaker 3: The one the one part of it that I did
- 39:21Speaker 3: like was the woman's talk about her realizing that her
- 39:23Speaker 3: dog wasn't gonna get out that.
- 39:24Speaker 5: Was the one part that felt really real to me
- 39:26Speaker 5: I'm like oh you know that is that really.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Those moments were good, but the rest of it, the setup,
- 39:45Speaker 2: I wouldn't have been on that chair for more than
- 39:47Speaker 2: 10 minutes. And I was like, The longer you let
- 39:51Speaker 2: it get cold, the more that snow's going to freeze
- 39:54Speaker 2: and it's going to get solid.
- 39:55Speaker 3: All that stuff.
- 39:56Speaker 4: That's what you get for skiing in the first fucking place.
- 39:59Speaker 7: That's what you get for trying to bribe your way
- 40:02Speaker 7: up onto a fucking ski lift.
- 40:04Speaker 2: And lie.
- 40:06Speaker 7: And besides that, they're just going to shut it all
- 40:07Speaker 7: down and go home.
- 40:08Speaker 5: We don't check that shit. Yeah, they don't check that shit.
- 40:11Speaker 6: Yeah, right.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Get the fuck out of here.
- 40:13Speaker 3: I still think it is a cool idea, but it
- 40:16Speaker 3: leaves so many holes that everybody's going to be like, well,
- 40:18Speaker 3: why didn't you just do that?
- 40:19Speaker 4: Iceman should have had something to fucking do with it.
- 40:21Speaker 3: That was Iceman, right? That wasn't his brothers.
- 40:22Speaker 4: I get confused. It was Sean and Aaron Ashmore. One
- 40:24Speaker 4: of them was Iceman in the X-Men movies. One of
- 40:28Speaker 4: them was not. I'm pretty sure that was Iceman from X-Men,
- 40:31Speaker 4: wasn't it?
- 40:32Speaker 3: You tell me. I haven't seen it. You're the ones
- 40:34Speaker 3: that have seen them. When we got it from Redbox
- 40:38Speaker 3: and forgot to return it. Ever. So we get an email.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Your account's being charged. It's like, fuck, now I own
- 40:46Speaker 3: a bad movie. You've been billed for this movie you
- 40:48Speaker 3: didn't like, and you also don't get a case for it.
- 40:51Speaker 7: Right.
- 40:51Speaker 3: And paid probably way too much for it.
- 40:53Speaker 4: That's like $ 17 or something like that.
- 40:55Speaker 3: I think it was $ 22. Jesus.
- 40:57Speaker 2: And I wouldn't have paid $ 10 for that movie.
- 41:00Speaker 6: No.
- 41:00Speaker 5: There's your damn movie back.
- 41:02Speaker 3: With a real case. I thought about returning it anyway.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I was like, I don't care.
- 41:06Speaker 6: I watched the trailer for Blubberilla and I wanted to
- 41:09Speaker 6: shoot people. I have signed the petition trying to get
- 41:12Speaker 6: his ass to quit fucking making movies.
- 41:14Speaker 4: I watched the trailer for Blubberilla.
- 41:17Speaker 7: Which is the exact same cast as Blood Rain 2.
- 41:22Speaker 3: No, Blood Rain 3. What the fuck, man?
- 41:26Speaker 5: How could you fuck that fucking movie up?
- 41:28Speaker 2: God.
- 41:29Speaker 7: It had the perfect story. All you got to do
- 41:31Speaker 7: is just fucking stick with it. No, they give it
- 41:34Speaker 7: to this fucking retard.
- 41:35Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Not retard.
- 41:37Speaker 4: That's... Insulting the retards.
- 41:39Speaker 5: Dumbass. Yeah, that's insulting people. No, they give it to
- 41:43Speaker 5: this fucktard. Whatever.
- 41:47Speaker 3: They give it to this jackass, and then he screws
- 41:49Speaker 3: it up.
- 41:50Speaker 6: I mean, come on.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Every movie he's made has been a fucking train wreck.
- 41:53Speaker 7: I know.
- 41:53Speaker 3: He made one good U.E.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Will movie. I dare you. I will give you a nickel.
- 41:58Speaker 5: A witty nickel.
- 41:59Speaker 3: I'm still trying to think how many mules are going
- 42:01Speaker 3: to email us now. I can't believe you used jackass. Yeah, really.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Well, I've got hate mail for less.
- 42:07Speaker 3: We're going to have to come up with a word
- 42:09Speaker 3: that you can say. A word that doesn't offend anybody,
- 42:12Speaker 3: but we can use it.
- 42:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever. Just take your chance on the show.
- 42:16Speaker 4: It's the same cast.
- 42:17Speaker 6: Blubberella and fucking that movie. Clint Howard's in both of them.
- 42:20Speaker 6: The other guy's in both of them. They've got different chicks, though.
- 42:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Because one of them's fat and one of them's not.
- 42:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:26Speaker 4: It's about a fat fucking superhero going after Nazi zombies
- 42:28Speaker 4: or fucking vampires or some shit. I'm not going to lie.
- 42:31Speaker 3: She's fat.
- 42:31Speaker 6: That's part of the whole storyline. She's a fat chick
- 42:33Speaker 6: fighting zombies.
- 42:35Speaker 4: I can't even talk.
- 42:35Speaker 3: I'm so mad. I mean, you can't get in trouble
- 42:38Speaker 3: for that. The name of the movie is Blumberella.
- 42:41Speaker 6: All the jokes are about being fat and eating sandwiches
- 42:43Speaker 6: while she kills people.
- 42:44Speaker 5: I actually kind of found it a little bit humorous.
- 42:48Speaker 2: He's taking a 180.
- 42:49Speaker 5: He loved it. Well, the Blubberell apart. The Blubbering, you
- 42:52Speaker 5: really fucked that one up. You eat bowls.
- 42:54Speaker 3: You eat bowels.
- 42:56Speaker 11: Fucking shit.
- 42:59Speaker 4: You're talking about House of the Divas.
- 43:02Speaker 3: That was awesome.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Another movie I fucked up.
- 43:07Speaker 2: See, you know, you just stick with the video game formula.
- 43:09Speaker 2: You can't go wrong.
- 43:10Speaker 5: But no, everybody's got to rewrite it. They've got to
- 43:12Speaker 5: put their own spin on it. They've got to fuck
- 43:14Speaker 5: it up.
- 43:14Speaker 3: They've got to put a real story in it.
- 43:16Speaker 5: Yeah, we've got to put a real story in it.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Or none, in the case of House of Dead. Yeah, really.
- 43:21Speaker 5: Actually, if you want to mail me with your hate mail,
- 43:22Speaker 5: go ahead.
- 43:23Speaker 7: I don't care, because I'm used to being hated.
- 43:26Speaker 2: He won't read it. I won't read it anyways.
- 43:30Speaker 5: I'll just laugh.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 43:33Speaker 4: All right, Marlena, it's your turn.
- 43:34Speaker 3: All right, well.
- 43:36Speaker 9: So last night I started watching. I realized I have
- 43:39Speaker 9: this problem. I stacked all the books.
- 43:41Speaker 5: Did you have a problem?
- 43:43Speaker 4: I don't imagine that.
- 43:44Speaker 9: I stacked all the books that I'm in the middle
- 43:46Speaker 9: of reading. I have 11 books I'm in the middle
- 43:48Speaker 9: of reading.
- 43:48Speaker 2: She autistically stacked the books she's reading.
- 43:51Speaker 3: I was just thinking that.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Reading them pop-ups. No, none of them are pop-ups.
- 43:55Speaker 3: That's what's slowing you down. All these damn words. If
- 43:57Speaker 3: you had little levers and whatnot, it'd be way faster.
- 44:00Speaker 4: 11 books that I'm in the middle of reading. 11.
- 44:02Speaker 4: That's ridiculous.
- 44:03Speaker 5: How do you keep the story straight?
- 44:04Speaker 3: I don't know, but I can.
- 44:06Speaker 5: I can't even read one book.
- 44:08Speaker 4: You look at magazines.
- 44:09Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why.
- 44:10Speaker 4: While you poop.
- 44:12Speaker 5: I read repair manuals.
- 44:14Speaker 14: While you poop.
- 44:16Speaker 5: No, I read them all. I read stuff online.
- 44:19Speaker 4: That's kind of like a book.
- 44:21Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Except it's not.
- 44:23Speaker 3: It counts as reading.
- 44:24Speaker 2: It's got words. I read stop signs every day.
- 44:28Speaker 3: In this Kindle world, that counts. Yeah, really.
- 44:32Speaker 9: Yeah, but I started watching the Imaginarium blog.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Dr.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Parnassus.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and I only watched like 10 minutes because I
- 44:41Speaker 4: fell asleep.
- 44:41Speaker 3: It's got issues.
- 44:42Speaker 9: It looked kind of cool at first, and then the
- 44:44Speaker 9: graphics and stuff seemed kind of stupid.
- 44:46Speaker 3: That was my major complaint.
- 44:47Speaker 4: You watched until Heath Ledger died. I didn't even know
- 44:50Speaker 4: Heath Ledger was in it.
- 44:52Speaker 3: He's in it at one point. That was my major
- 44:54Speaker 3: complaint because it's Gilliam, and it looks like Gilliam, and
- 44:58Speaker 3: then you get into the special effects, and it just...
- 45:01Speaker 3: It's bad CG. It's what they do with every movie now.
- 45:03Speaker 3: It looks like all the current movies. And he was
- 45:06Speaker 3: so good at, like, back in the 80s and whatnot
- 45:09Speaker 3: when nobody knew how to do that kind of stuff.
- 45:11Speaker 3: He was finding a way to do a practical version
- 45:13Speaker 3: of all these crazy images. And now, I don't know
- 45:16Speaker 3: if he just got lazy or if the studios won't
- 45:18Speaker 3: let him do stuff like that anymore. But, yeah, I
- 45:21Speaker 3: think the effects on it... And, I mean, half of
- 45:23Speaker 3: the movie takes place in this fictional fantasy world that
- 45:26Speaker 3: you need all these effects for. So... You can't really,
- 45:29Speaker 3: you know, gloss over that. That's half of your movie, so...
- 45:32Speaker 3: More man bad secret? I don't know if it's that bad.
- 45:36Speaker 2: But that is old, comparatively.
- 45:38Speaker 4: I remember when that movie was the shit, man.
- 45:41Speaker 5: You were like, damn, look at these computer graphics.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Do you remember an alternate universe?
- 45:49Speaker 5: That's my whole life.
- 45:50Speaker 3: I don't know if I remember that time.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Man, it's better than Atari graphics.
- 45:56Speaker 5: Pitfall.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Pitfall. Hey, Pitfall was awesome. All right, where were you
- 46:02Speaker 3: going before we got sidetracked?
- 46:03Speaker 4: And I fell asleep, so I can't really talk about
- 46:06Speaker 4: that one. Like, I fell asleep, like, right at the beginning.
- 46:08Speaker 3: It's not terrible. It just has so many issues, and,
- 46:11Speaker 3: I mean, half of them came with the project. I mean,
- 46:14Speaker 3: you lose your main actor midway in, you enter into
- 46:17Speaker 3: a weird... Yeah, it's hard to save that one. Yeah. So,
- 46:19Speaker 3: I mean, again, the deck, as always, is stacked against
- 46:22Speaker 3: Terry Gilliam when he makes a movie.
- 46:24Speaker 9: I mean, I actually know a guy who looks exactly
- 46:25Speaker 9: like Heath Ledger, and he's British, so he could, I mean,
- 46:28Speaker 9: he could fake an Australian accent.
- 46:30Speaker 4: He's already halfway there.
- 46:31Speaker 5: But they don't know who he is.
- 46:33Speaker 3: They just brought in celebrities, so they don't need him.
- 46:35Speaker 9: I know.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like, you need an actor.
- 46:37Speaker 5: We don't need him.
- 46:38Speaker 4: I should.
- 46:38Speaker 5: Johnny Depp.
- 46:40Speaker 9: Yeah, someone should call the studios and be like, you know, so.
- 46:44Speaker 4: You want to make a new Batman or the Joker?
- 46:46Speaker 4: I kind of know a guy. I can get a
- 46:48Speaker 4: finder's fee.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Let's just pretend like he's not dead. Yeah, hey. Oh,
- 46:52Speaker 3: we were mistaken.
- 46:53Speaker 2: They always do.
- 46:54Speaker 3: We found him.
- 46:55Speaker 4: He really does look just like Heath Ledger.
- 46:57Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 46:58Speaker 4: He was joking. He was joking.
- 47:00Speaker 6: He was joking.
- 47:01Speaker 2: He's the Joker.
- 47:01Speaker 4: Get it? Yeah, exactly.
- 47:04Speaker 5: Yikes.
- 47:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I watched that.
- 47:06Speaker 9: And the other day, some lady told me that I
- 47:08Speaker 9: look like the girl from American Pickers. and I don't,
- 47:11Speaker 9: but I felt compelled to watch at least five episodes
- 47:14Speaker 9: of American Pickers.
- 47:15Speaker 6: That's the one where it goes like different people's shit
- 47:18Speaker 6: and like trying to buy it.
- 47:18Speaker 4: I fucking hate that show.
- 47:19Speaker 3: It's like a mess.
- 47:20Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, I want that. Oh, you fucker. Oh,
- 47:23Speaker 4: I kind of like it. Cause I mean, I like that. I,
- 47:25Speaker 4: you know, I like, I like seeing stuff I can have.
- 47:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:28Speaker 7: Well, it's, it's, it's, I think it's, it's done more
- 47:31Speaker 7: damage to people like us that go, that's true. Doug
- 47:36Speaker 7: calls junking. Uh, hunting for stuff so normally now like
- 47:40Speaker 7: when we go get stuff like i don't know like
- 47:43Speaker 7: the what's his name old man guy uh that has
- 47:46Speaker 7: the junkyard anyways there's a guy that's got a 50s
- 47:49Speaker 7: junkyard so i go out there and i get parts
- 47:51Speaker 7: i got a bumper from him for like 50 bucks
- 47:53Speaker 7: for my car so yeah he's gonna watch this show
- 47:55Speaker 7: and be like oh fifty dollars what am i thinking
- 47:58Speaker 7: of you know that he's gonna.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Three thousand dollars.
- 48:01Speaker 9: I'll get money for that you know kind of thing
- 48:04Speaker 9: yeah i mean thanks In a lot of ways, I
- 48:07Speaker 9: like the show because it's like, that's what I like
- 48:09Speaker 9: to do.
- 48:09Speaker 3: It's fun.
- 48:10Speaker 6: Yay.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Look at all this cool stuff they found.
- 48:11Speaker 9: But at the same time, it's like now everyone is
- 48:13Speaker 9: like finding the stuff and buying it and then selling
- 48:16Speaker 9: it to people who like actually seriously collect it.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:19Speaker 9: And it's like, I can't find all this shit that
- 48:21Speaker 9: I want for 50 cents anymore because now I have
- 48:23Speaker 9: to pay like 40 bucks for it on eBay.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Fuck a bunch of that.
- 48:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 48:26Speaker 7: It's like everybody now, those shops now jack the prices
- 48:29Speaker 7: up on everything.
- 48:29Speaker 5: Oh, this is worth something.
- 48:31Speaker 2: You know what?
- 48:31Speaker 4: It's not. Unless you go to Tickle Pink. I don't
- 48:32Speaker 4: like this. I don't like Tickle Pink. I love the name.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Tickle Pink. I'm going to Tickle Pink. It just sounds dirty.
- 48:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:41Speaker 9: And, um, yeah, I didn't really watch anything, I don't think.
- 48:45Speaker 9: I mean, nothing I could, like, actually watch and, like,
- 48:48Speaker 9: comment about. Yeah, I mean, I finally finished Jesus Camp.
- 48:51Speaker 4: I think I probably already talked about that, though.
- 48:53Speaker 5: I think no exciting weird stories. Nothing from Marlenaville.
- 48:57Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I'm sure.
- 48:59Speaker 9: Oh, oh, so on Friday, um, I went out, uh, dancing, and, um, Yes, yes. Well,
- 49:08Speaker 9: I mean, there was karaoke involved and bad hip-hop dancing.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Awesome. The one-two punch. Hey, hey.
- 49:16Speaker 4: I karaoke-ed the Human League, Don't You Want Me.
- 49:19Speaker 9: Oh, wow.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Was amazing.
- 49:21Speaker 9: I did a duet, and it was fantastic. But I
- 49:24Speaker 9: saw this old, old, old black man who looked like E.T.
- 49:27Speaker 9: It was so sweet.
- 49:30Speaker 4: I was, like, talking.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Did his heart glow?
- 49:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 3: At any point, did his fingers start to glow?
- 49:36Speaker 4: Yeah, he was, like, an old crackhead, and he was, like.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Was he a dragon at any point?
- 49:39Speaker 6: No.
- 49:39Speaker 5: Did he get up and sing the Neil Diamond Turn
- 49:42Speaker 5: On Your Heart Like?
- 49:43Speaker 4: No, but he did try to dance with me. It
- 49:44Speaker 4: was very weird.
- 49:48Speaker 9: He was, like, sitting at a table behind us. He kept, like,
- 49:50Speaker 9: teetering around because he was old.
- 49:52Speaker 3: He was old.
- 49:53Speaker 9: And he was, like, with his whole generation of, like,
- 49:55Speaker 9: five whole generations of his family, I think. Because there
- 49:59Speaker 9: are people calling him dad and grandpa and uncle whatever.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Super extra grandpa.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Uncle E.T.
- 50:06Speaker 4: But I was like, dude, that guy looks like E.T.
- 50:10Speaker 4: It was funny.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Grandpa, I'll cut my finger. Will you fix it?
- 50:13Speaker 4: Yeah, if I've got some Reese's Pieces.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Briving him with Reese's Pieces.
- 50:18Speaker 5: Grandpa, drink this.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Beer so I can get drunk.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah.
- 50:27Speaker 9: The dancing was entertaining and hilarious, but, you know, you
- 50:30Speaker 9: would have just had to have been there. I can't
- 50:32Speaker 9: possibly explain to you how fun it was.
- 50:35Speaker 4: I could draw a picture, but it's a podcast, so
- 50:40Speaker 4: I don't know what that would do.
- 50:41Speaker 3: We have a website.
- 50:41Speaker 4: That's true.
- 50:42Speaker 3: That's true.
- 50:44Speaker 4: So true.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Just start shooting video when you go out into these
- 50:47Speaker 3: adventures and then we can start posting. We'll get our
- 50:49Speaker 3: own YouTube channel. Just like Marlena moments.
- 50:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 50:53Speaker 4: Her video of me kicking leaves.
- 50:54Speaker 3: There you go.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Which I did for 10 minutes before I came.
- 50:57Speaker 3: In the door. That's true. Greg and I were, we're
- 50:59Speaker 3: dealing with Turkzilla and I was like, I wonder if
- 51:01Speaker 3: they're here. And I opened the door and Misty's out
- 51:03Speaker 3: frolicking in front of the house.
- 51:05Speaker 4: And I smelled good. I think I'm just ready to eat.
- 51:09Speaker 4: I'm starving.
- 51:09Speaker 3: I mean, yesterday I.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Have one more quick story. It involves you. Um, I
- 51:14Speaker 4: had a dream.
- 51:15Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 51:16Speaker 3: No.
- 51:18Speaker 4: George Takei was taking me and you to the theater.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Yay!
- 51:20Speaker 4: We were wearing dresses and he was wearing a suit
- 51:23Speaker 4: with a bow tie. And I was trying to shave
- 51:24Speaker 4: my armpits. And then I was trying to shave your armpits, too.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Shit needs to be.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Done that's nice oh god George Takei.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Shaved his armpits oh no his was smooth his was
- 51:37Speaker 3: smooth just naturally George.
- 51:41Speaker 6: Takei is fucking awesome he was gonna take us to
- 51:42Speaker 6: the theater but then I woke up so I.
- 51:44Speaker 9: Don't know what kind of theater like a movie theater
- 51:46Speaker 9: or like a play theater I was doing it with
- 51:48Speaker 9: a play or something yeah.
- 51:49Speaker 3: It's sad that that's what I asked. I was like,
- 51:51Speaker 3: the theater or the theater?
- 51:52Speaker 4: Actually, he was wearing a bow tie and a tux.
- 51:54Speaker 3: That sounds like theater.
- 51:55Speaker 6: Is it E-R or R-E?
- 51:56Speaker 4: We were shaving our armpits, so it must have been
- 51:59Speaker 4: a fancy name. Or A-I-R.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 52:01Speaker 3: It's a pretty fancy name.
- 52:02Speaker 4: A theater. Because that's when it gets fancy.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Fancy days.
- 52:06Speaker 9: Yeah, that's awesome. Yesterday, I went to Bob Evans, and...
- 52:12Speaker 9: I was so hungry. I hadn't eaten in like a
- 52:14Speaker 9: whole day. I ate two pancakes, two sausages, two eggs,
- 52:18Speaker 9: a piece of pumpkin bread, half a salad, and a
- 52:21Speaker 9: whole thing of fried zucchini.
- 52:23Speaker 4: I've never eaten that much food in my life.
- 52:28Speaker 5: Okay.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Well, we've got a two-seller in the oven. I was
- 52:32Speaker 4: just so proud of... I'm not proud. Pride mixed with shame.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Conflicting emotions.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Pride mixed with shame.
- 52:40Speaker 3: That's like how we feel about the show.
- 52:41Speaker 8: I know, yeah.
- 52:42Speaker 3: That's like our motto.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Sometimes I'm proud, sometimes I'm embarrassed. Yeah, I can smell
- 52:47Speaker 4: that food in there. I'm kind of hungry. I'm very hungry.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Let's hope it's not.
- 52:51Speaker 3: melted I think we should find out so we'll take
- 52:55Speaker 3: we'll take a break and.
- 52:56Speaker 6: I want to say real quick real quick I want
- 52:58Speaker 6: to tell Gwyneth Paltrow she needs to take the fuck
- 52:59Speaker 6: off my shows or I'm gonna punch her in her fucking.
- 53:01Speaker 15: Face that's right soulless automaton robot ass is not gonna
- 53:05Speaker 15: be singing on fucking glee I'm gonna fucking punch her
- 53:07Speaker 15: in her face she can't sing she can't dance she
- 53:09Speaker 15: just needs to fucking stop she can't act and save
- 53:11Speaker 15: her fucking life oh this table acts better than her
- 53:13Speaker 15: I want to fucking punch.
- 53:15Speaker 7: Her punch her in the throat because the face It's
- 53:19Speaker 7: already a mess.
- 53:20Speaker 5: The throat is a lot better.
- 53:21Speaker 4: It's not great either.
- 53:22Speaker 5: It gets a better reaction. Nah, you get all the
- 53:24Speaker 5: choking and the rising and the.
- 53:27Speaker 3: You know, and then you stand there and laugh at
- 53:28Speaker 3: them as they're trying to breathe and.
- 53:30Speaker 4: God, fuck her.
- 53:32Speaker 3: Kevin Spacey just cut her head off.
- 53:35Speaker 5: There you go.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Good plan. I forgot I wasn't going to watch... I
- 53:41Speaker 3: wasn't really going to pay attention to that episode. I
- 53:43Speaker 3: was like, oh shit, that's the one with Gwyneth. Okay, fine.
- 53:46Speaker 3: I'll fucking watch it.
- 53:47Speaker 4: She's the worst actress I've ever fucking seen.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Inadvertently that now led to my new favorite song because
- 53:54Speaker 3: fuck you is awesome by the way yeah but not.
- 53:56Speaker 6: Her version I don't care no what you gotta do
- 53:59Speaker 6: listen to the Shatner version because Shatner sang it on
- 54:01Speaker 6: the fucking George Lopez show and Shatner's fucking awesome.
- 54:04Speaker 4: I really liked her in the Royal Tenenbaums no.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Don't try to bring this down with actual appreciation of
- 54:14Speaker 3: her acting skills.
- 54:15Speaker 6: But Shatter didn't censor it, so they had to censor
- 54:17Speaker 6: him because he actually sang the right song.
- 54:19Speaker 4: He sang Fuck You. He says that all the time.
- 54:21Speaker 4: But they censored him. What did they say? They changed
- 54:24Speaker 4: it to Forget You. Which is just stupid.
- 54:29Speaker 3: It's an awesome song. I don't know if I'd pay
- 54:31Speaker 3: that much attention. I knew it was out there, but
- 54:34Speaker 3: I don't think I tracked it down until I heard
- 54:35Speaker 3: that one. I was like, okay, now I need to
- 54:37Speaker 3: hear the real version because they jacked it up for TV.
- 54:40Speaker 4: But is it as awesome as Let Me Smell Yo Dick?
- 54:44Speaker 3: Come on. I'm going to stick with Fuck You.
- 54:47Speaker 4: I'm not familiar with that one. We're going to have
- 54:50Speaker 4: to look it up.
- 54:50Speaker 7: What was that other song you were not so excited about?
- 54:57Speaker 3: The that one guy really.
- 54:59Speaker 5: Put out the uh the ice cream.
- 55:00Speaker 6: Uh listen to the uh the deuce song by the
- 55:03Speaker 6: ice cream truck guy it was not that exciting is.
- 55:05Speaker 4: It in your face is it on your face.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Or i don't know who knows.
- 55:10Speaker 6: All up on your face or some stupid shit it
- 55:12Speaker 6: was not as fun as the ice cream truck song.
- 55:16Speaker 7: Oh hey talking about being excited about some shit I
- 55:19Speaker 7: forgot to mention, did she say anything about the Corey
- 55:21Speaker 7: Feldman lookalike?
- 55:24Speaker 3: No.
- 55:25Speaker 7: There is a guy that lives in our neighborhood that
- 55:27Speaker 7: looks exactly like Corey Feldman.
- 55:30Speaker 4: He hangs out at Target.
- 55:31Speaker 5: But not only that, he dresses like Corey Feldman. He
- 55:35Speaker 5: ran into this guy at Target.
- 55:37Speaker 4: We stalked him for a minute.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you mentioned him that far back, but
- 55:40Speaker 3: I don't think the new installment. So, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 55:42Speaker 3: we're at Target, and we're walking around, and there's Corey Feldman.
- 55:45Speaker 4: We follow him, and we follow him for several hours.
- 55:46Speaker 5: I was like, holy shit, it's fucking Corey Feldman. She's like, no,
- 55:48Speaker 5: it isn't.
- 55:49Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, look at this guy. And she's like,
- 55:50Speaker 3: holy shit, it is.
- 55:51Speaker 4: He had the same hair, like the ponytail, like the
- 55:53Speaker 4: one tendril that comes down.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he had the, you know, the sleeves. Gloves.
- 55:58Speaker 3: Well, no, this one.
- 56:00Speaker 5: So, you know, I come home from work, and there's
- 56:01Speaker 5: this car parked in front of my house.
- 56:03Speaker 3: It's a little short story. Boring story. Yeah, boring story.
- 56:06Speaker 4: I get home.
- 56:06Speaker 7: There's somebody's car parked in front of the house. I
- 56:08Speaker 7: don't know who the fuck it is. So I go
- 56:09Speaker 7: out and I tell the guy, I was like, who
- 56:10Speaker 7: the fuck are you? Why are you parked in front
- 56:11Speaker 7: of my house?
- 56:11Speaker 3: It's the cable guy.
- 56:13Speaker 5: So I'm talking to the cable guy. I have no cable.
- 56:15Speaker 16: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:16Speaker 3: No, it's the cable guy.
- 56:17Speaker 4: It was years ago.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Yeah, he's, anyways.
- 56:20Speaker 5: I'm talking to him about what's going on in the neighborhood.
- 56:23Speaker 4: Before Halloween.
- 56:24Speaker 7: And yeah, it was before Halloween. So this doesn't have
- 56:27Speaker 7: anything to do with fucking Halloween. So this guy's walking
- 56:29Speaker 7: down the street. A lot of people are walking up
- 56:30Speaker 7: and down our street for some reason. And he kind
- 56:33Speaker 7: of catches me out of the corner of my eye,
- 56:35Speaker 7: kind of turn and look, and I see this guy
- 56:36Speaker 7: in a red jacket and a fedora, and he's walking
- 56:39Speaker 7: down the street, and I was like, eh, whatever.
- 56:41Speaker 5: And I'm talking to the guy, and then it kind
- 56:43Speaker 5: of processed in my brain. I was like, what the hell?
- 56:45Speaker 7: And I turn back and look, and he's wearing, it's
- 56:49Speaker 7: the Corey Feldman guy, he's wearing the red and black
- 56:53Speaker 7: leather Michael Jackson jacket, the silver sparkly glove, a black fedora, Did.
- 56:59Speaker 4: He have the socks? Did he have like the sparkly?
- 57:02Speaker 5: I don't know if he had the sparkly socks.
- 57:03Speaker 7: He had black jeans and he had high tops on
- 57:05Speaker 7: and he was walking down the street.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Well, that's wrong right there. It should have been loafers.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Well, I mean. You know what? I don't know. He's
- 57:10Speaker 3: mixing stuff anyways. He's mixing stuff anyways, yeah. Because the
- 57:13Speaker 3: jacket and the glove are Thriller era. The fedora is
- 57:16Speaker 3: a bad era. So, I mean, he's fucking things up
- 57:18Speaker 3: on it.
- 57:18Speaker 7: But either way, I turn and I'm talking to this
- 57:21Speaker 7: guy and I'm kind of like doing the eye motion like,
- 57:23Speaker 7: do you fucking catch.
- 57:24Speaker 3: What's going on with my eye motion?
- 57:26Speaker 7: The guy's old yeah and then I realized the guy's
- 57:29Speaker 7: old and he doesn't know what the hell I'm talking
- 57:30Speaker 7: about and he just kind of like looks at me
- 57:32Speaker 7: like what the fuck is something wrong with your eye.
- 57:34Speaker 5: You know and I'm like I'm like god I'm.
- 57:36Speaker 7: Hoping Misty's like peeking out the front window trying to
- 57:39Speaker 7: see what I'm doing and sees this guy I wasn't.
- 57:40Speaker 4: At that point but you were I was talking to
- 57:42Speaker 4: Bruin at.
- 57:42Speaker 6: That time I remember trying to figure out the conspiracy
- 57:44Speaker 6: of the cable guy yeah so.
- 57:46Speaker 7: I'm like I'm like sitting over there going god damn
- 57:48Speaker 7: it there's a Corey Feldman that lives in our neighborhood
- 57:50Speaker 7: I'm gonna find this guy he's gonna be my he's
- 57:52Speaker 7: gonna be in my motley crew of fucking friends.
- 57:55Speaker 3: He's going to be on the show next time.
- 57:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to find you.
- 57:58Speaker 3: I'm finding you, Feldman.
- 57:59Speaker 5: I'm going to find you.
- 58:00Speaker 4: We're going to hang out in Target until we see him.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Just put a sign in your yard that says, if
- 58:04Speaker 2: you look like Corey Feldman.
- 58:05Speaker 6: When he was at Target, wasn't he wearing the fingerless gloves?
- 58:08Speaker 9: He was.
- 58:08Speaker 5: See, that's the thing. When he was at Target, he
- 58:10Speaker 5: was dressed like casual Feldman.
- 58:14Speaker 7: You know, the kind of Feldman that wants to go
- 58:15Speaker 7: out and party, but he's still kind of casual, you know,
- 58:18Speaker 7: the blazer, the blazer with the sleeves pushed up and
- 58:21Speaker 7: the shirt and the bolo tie and the hair and
- 58:24Speaker 7: the bandana and.
- 58:25Speaker 5: The fingerless gloves. And the, and I was like, Holy shit, man,
- 58:28Speaker 5: this guy looks like Feldman.
- 58:29Speaker 3: But yeah, he lives in our neighborhood.
- 58:30Speaker 5: I got to find him. Got to find him.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Not really sure why.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Uh, but it's your new obsession i don't know i don't.
- 58:38Speaker 5: Know what my fucking i'd be obsessed about it yeah.
- 58:40Speaker 7: I don't know what my problem we got we got
- 58:42Speaker 7: we got a uh uh we got a midget that
- 58:44Speaker 7: lives in our neighborhood too i want him to be
- 58:46Speaker 7: my friend i don't know who he is but he
- 58:48Speaker 7: looks cool as shit.
- 58:50Speaker 4: He hangs out at the gas station.
- 58:52Speaker 7: A lot he does yeah he does hang out at
- 58:55Speaker 7: the gas station i'm gonna be dude can you be
- 58:57Speaker 7: my friend you know i'm not gonna throw you or
- 58:59Speaker 7: anything but i just want you to be my friend
- 59:02Speaker 7: I love it.
- 59:03Speaker 3: I've got a checklist.
- 59:04Speaker 5: I need a midget.
- 59:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:05Speaker 4: I do.
- 59:05Speaker 2: You've got to really meet most of my.
- 59:10Speaker 3: friends.
- 59:10Speaker 4: This will be the weirdest A-team ever.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Oh, fucking yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 5: We'll be like the C-team.
- 59:18Speaker 7: You can't get a hold of the A team.
- 59:21Speaker 4: The S team.
- 59:22Speaker 5: The B team can't really be found.
- 59:24Speaker 3: You can't really afford the B team.
- 59:26Speaker 4: Call it.
- 59:28Speaker 5: Call it the C team.
- 59:29Speaker 3: We'll just show up.
- 59:30Speaker 7: They're probably hanging out at the gas station.
- 59:32Speaker 3: You can make us a sandwich in payment. We're good
- 59:34Speaker 3: with that.
- 59:34Speaker 4: Okay, let's eat this Turkzilla.
- 59:37Speaker 2: All right, let's go.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Okay, so we're going to take a break. When we
- 59:40Speaker 3: come back, we're going to unleash Turkzilla.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Not that we're going to do that after we eat it.
- 59:46Speaker 5: Two hours after we eat it.
- 59:48Speaker 4: God, no.
- 59:49Speaker 2: We're going to be ordering Papa John's. And now, before
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: the next show starts, let's enjoy an intermission.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: This holiday season, prepare to have the stuffing scared out
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: of you. Thanksgiving. In the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts, the
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: fourth Thursday in November is the most celebrated day.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: Of the year.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: The table is set. The festivities have begun. One uninvited
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: guest has arrived. And this year, there will be no leftovers.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: Thanksgiving.
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: White meat.
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: Please, Allie, your legs are harder to shut than the
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: JonBenet Ramsey case.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Oh, snapper!
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: Year 1621, the Pilgrims held their first Thanksgiving feast. They
- 1:01:42Speaker 10: invited the great Indian chief, Massasoit, who brought 90 of
- 1:01:45Speaker 10: his brave Indians and a great abundance of food. Governor
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: William Bradford and Captain Miles Standish were honored guests. Elder
- 1:01:54Speaker 10: William Brewster, who was a minister, said a prayer that
- 1:01:57Speaker 10: went something like this. We thank God for our homes
- 1:02:01Speaker 10: and our food and our safety in a new land.
- 1:02:04Speaker 10: We thank God for the opportunity to create a new
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: world for freedom and justice.
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: Amen.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: My stomach's not been feeling good for the past couple days.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Well, I know what'll fix it.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Turkzilla. He gonna stomp all over your belly. Rawr. Rawr.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: He gonna lay flat your intestines.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Gobble, gobble, bitch.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Oh, my God. That's impressive. Oh, yeah, I like how
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: it was oozing.
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: Oh, that's... Oh, thank you.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: Oh, thank you.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: Have you ever had dinner.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: At your dining room table?
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Mmm, just when we eat stuff on the show.
- 1:03:05Speaker 17: Danny!
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: That's the only time you ever use it. We're not
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: sure if we're going to be eating this once.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: This is hot. I mean, what can we record? It's like.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: I was screaming when it started spewing sort of.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Could you imagine? Oh, it's so deep there.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: I can hear the crunch.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Gotta get through all those layers of meat.
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: How many layers are there?
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: There's just two layers of meat.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Is it turkey and ham?
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: No, just two layers of turkey.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: But a layer of.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Where did you find a recipe for this?
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: The internet. She found it.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: I posted it on Facebook.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Okay, whose piece is this and how wide do you
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: want it?
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: Like that?
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: There's a layer. There's layers.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: You know, I mean, I like to eat my food
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: all together anyway, so this really doesn't bother me.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: We'll cut another piece.
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: Do you want some of that bottom layer?
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: I feel like this is the KFC of Thanksgiving.
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: No, this is the Shoney's. I don't know.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: I've had several Thanksgiving Shoney's.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: It'll probably be way better than the Shoney's.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Nice. Oh, hell yeah.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Is it hot all the way through?
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Oh, there's gravy too. Knock yourself out with some gravy.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I'm impressed there's actually layers in there.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: That's three layers.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Isn't it?
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the turkey layer, potatoes, then there's the cranberries, Stuffing, potatoes, turkey.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Oh, you're stuffing it. Oh hell yeah, Greg. This is
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: fucking shit right here, man.
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: Good.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Damn, it's fucking good.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: All that beer was in the warranty.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Hell. You're a regular Iron Chef. Do you need a
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: finger to top that?
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Fucking delicious.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: Oh, come on, really?
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: I know, it's really good. Who knew that all this
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: stuff together.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Would be so delicious?
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: Well, there's enough butter and.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: I'll make everything good.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: Bad stuff in it that it can't be all cooked inside.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: Good thing that was... It's gravy. I just have to say,
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: this is awesome. Thank you for making this. You're welcome.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: I'm happy that you like it. It is pretty damn impressive.
- 1:05:28Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Yeah, for a picky person, she's fucking picky as hell.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: She likes it.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: Even the oniony things in there aren't killing me, so.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Well, I figured I'd make it to the recipe, and
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: then that way, if people complained, I can blame it
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: on the recipe.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: That's why yesterday I was telling you, I was like, no,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: I don't really even like a couple of these things. Specifically,
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: I'm not big on, you know. yams or whatever version
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: they use but I was like you know what that's
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: the way it's called for I'm always I'm always up
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: for trying stuff so you know at least the first
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: time well I'll try it I won't necessarily like it
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: but I don't want to you know I don't want
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: to throw off the way that it's supposed to be
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: so then we can make variations as the years go by.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Well it's kind of like a turkey meatloaf with layers
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: of stuff so it's.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: A trifle a layer of peas and meat good In
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: between bites, would you get somewhere near the mic?
- 1:06:26Speaker 9: Oh.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: And give people a breakdown of what this is that
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: you've created here.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Okay, this is.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: Turkzilla. Turkzilla. How would you describe this process?
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: It's layers of... The base layer is ground turkey with
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: onions and garlic and oats. And it's basically a turkey
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: meatloaf on the bottom. Then a layer of mashed potatoes,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: a layer of cranberry sauce, stuffing, then another layer of potatoes.
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: We should clarify the mashed potatoes is like the icing
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: of the cake.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Right, yes.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Like a thin layer.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Right, a thin layer, but yeah, icing-like. And then another
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: layer of the meat, meatloaf, turkey meatloaf.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: This is all around like a cake.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: And then the top layer is sweet potato, a sweet
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: potato casserole with marshmallows on top.
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: And the outside is iced.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: With more mashed potatoes.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: And then you pour gravy over the top. In response
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: to that entire description, God bless America.
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: God bless the internet.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: I don't think it even existed.
- 1:07:44Speaker 9: It's like, I feel like we should really submit this
- 1:07:45Speaker 9: to thisiswhyyou'refat.com.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: It's probably where I found it.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: We have to thank Missy for finding it.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: I did see her post it and thought, now this
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: would be perfect for Movie Meltdown.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and then it became a threat. Okay, if we
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: do a Thanksgiving special, I'll make that motherfucker. I was like, oh,
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: game on.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Ryan didn't see it at first. I'm like, so we're
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: having a Thanksgiving.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Special, right? I was like.
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: Why?
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: He's like, are you making it? I'm like, hell no,
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: somebody else come volunteer for this shit.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: I was like, oh, well, shit, get the Thanksgiving out.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: Here we come.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Om nom nom.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: And the best part is Thanksgiving is going to be
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: better than the food.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: This is awesome. And I'm usually someone who has issues
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: with the sweet and savory mixing together. This actually works
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: really good. I'm surprised. I usually like to keep them
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: very separate.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Boyfriend can't have them on the same plate.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: See, I'm usually that way. I'm usually pretty hardcore about it, but... No, seriously.
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: We went to Steak and Shake last night, and I
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: had my cherry from my shake.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: And I don't want it, because I don't eat cherries.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: So I wanted to put it on his plate, because
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: he wanted to eat it.
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: He put it on the fucking napkin.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: We didn't have napkins.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: We had no napkins.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: We had no silverware.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: I don't want a cherry on my plate, because my
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: plate is full of hot sauce juice.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: It was on the edge, not touching anything.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: You can't settle down. It's a holiday. Can't have these
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: holiday meals with you. I tell you, no, it's.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: A fucking holiday.
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: It's not a holiday that somebody's fucking crying like, oh,
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: it's my family.
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: I would make this again. I'm actually happy with it.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: I'm impressed with it. It is pretty damn good.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Total time, honestly, was only about an hour and a half.
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: You know, it was more me worrying about.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: It than anything.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: So, yeah, once you have the ingredients, it's really not bad.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: As long as you take the time.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: And individually build each section.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: It's good. Mine's already gone.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: I could eat that whole damn thing.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: You're not fucking with me either, you're good.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: No, I could. That's fucking good. Did you want to
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: go into your description of how you wanted to keep
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: this at a specific level? Because I suggested, I was like, well,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: if you were going to take it in a different direction,
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: you could actually substitute the ground turkey for actual slices
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: of turkey and layer it in there. It seems like
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: it would be harder to cut.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Well, I thought with just the whole idea of it anyway,
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: I was walking around the grocery store yesterday getting my
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: ingredients and I bought real yams and I was going
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: to peel them and boil them and mash them and
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: I was going to go, we're going to go all
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: out and make this like a real Thanksgiving dinner. And
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: then I thought, you know, this is really kind of,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: the construction of it is kind.
- 1:10:32Speaker 18: Of like, trailer massively trailer so you know i went
- 1:10:38Speaker 18: straight instant mashed potatoes which i can make mashed potatoes
- 1:10:41Speaker 18: very well but instant mashed potatoes candy and stove top
- 1:10:45Speaker 18: stuffing oh i.
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: Do too let's go you know let's go.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: All out and make this as you know White trash.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: White trash as possible.
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: Ghetto-tastic.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: No, no, no, no. Let me tell you about white
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: trash Thanksgiving.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: See, that's why we can make fun of trailer park people.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: We've got trailer park people. It makes it okay for us. Hey,
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: I was trying to say this. We're going to get
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: yelled at for trailer park people. We only lived in
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: a trailer for like a year or so. I got
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: family from trailers. I can make fun of them.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: I mean, I think a lot of people do. It's
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: not a thing.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: I mean, I don't live in a trailer park. Thankfully,
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: But, no, my mom, she's... comically white trash, as I'm
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: sure you all know.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Would she like a slice?
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:11:30Speaker 9: I don't know what happened to that.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: You can't have nice things in the trailer.
- 1:11:40Speaker 9: Last year on Thanksgiving, my mom begged me to help
- 1:11:44Speaker 9: her with Thanksgiving dinner. I was like, I don't want to.
- 1:11:48Speaker 9: My mom's an awful cook. She set the house on
- 1:11:52Speaker 9: fire every time she's tried to cook something.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: I don't know how she.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: How many times did you sit the house on fire, Greg? Well,
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: you're just not doing it right. That's right.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: I have a picture of the soup she tried to
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: make a few months ago.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: It just looks like this buttery, watery mess with some
- 1:12:07Speaker 9: celery chunks floating in it.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: How do you fuck up soup? I don't know.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: You can't.
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: I can make soup.
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: God.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:12:13Speaker 9: I mean, it wasn't... She tried to make homemade soup,
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: but it was like.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, she could probably handle soup out of the can, maybe, but... No,
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: I mean real soup.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: Okay. I've made it on multiple occasions.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: So, at the time, my mom.
- 1:12:25Speaker 9: My mom doesn't have a job, and I can understand
- 1:12:27Speaker 9: it a little bit more now, but at the time,
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: she had a job, and she still.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: Like, on Monday, when she picked me up to take
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: me to the flea market.
- 1:12:35Speaker 9: She was like, if you ever need bread, there's a
- 1:12:38Speaker 9: church down the street that gives you bread.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: I'm like, I have a job, Mom. I can buy
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: my own damn bread.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: It costs a dollar.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: She's like, yeah, but it's saving you a dollar.
- 1:12:45Speaker 9: I was like, my dignity is not worth a fucking
- 1:12:48Speaker 9: $ 1 loaf of bread that's expired anyway.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: No, you can buy some damn bread. But anyway, so
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: she got all the.
- 1:12:56Speaker 9: Ingredients for Thanksgiving from like a church or some donation
- 1:13:00Speaker 9: thing or something like.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: So it was like dented.
- 1:13:04Speaker 9: I held up a can of green beans that was
- 1:13:06Speaker 9: dented in half.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: The can was touching. I was like, this is how
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: you get botulism.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that equals botulism.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: I was like, this is how you get botulism. And
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: she's like... They wouldn't have given it to me if
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: it has botulism in it. That's why they give it
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: to you to weed out people like you.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: They don't know a damn thing about it.
- 1:13:22Speaker 9: And the turkey was this, like, it was a log.
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: It was a, like, it looked like a sausage. You know,
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: when you buy, like, a thing of Jimmy Dean sausage?
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: It looked like that, but it was, like, a big
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: log of.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: Like, turkey.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Like Spam log.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: It was, it's exactly what it was. I'm worried it's
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: going to fall backwards.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: A lot of turkey. I think it's pretty sad.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: I don't think it's going anywhere.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: It was like potted turkey.
- 1:13:43Speaker 7: It's got that nice little layer of congealed fat on
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: the top.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: Yeah. It was lower grade than school quality. He made
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: his food and then cleaned up after us.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: He's awesome.
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: We should have him to every show.
- 1:13:57Speaker 9: But, yeah, she prepared that turkey, and I, of course,
- 1:14:01Speaker 9: went somewhere else and ate because I wasn't touching that shit.
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: But, yeah.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: You didn't have any turducken?
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: No.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: No.
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: I'm just way not fancy enough for that.
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: But, um, her boyfriend at the time was just like,
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: I ain't eating that shit. I had to eat that
- 1:14:17Speaker 9: shit every day for three years when I was in prison.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: I ain't eating it.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: It was like prison turkey. He, like, refused to eat it.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: And it was, like, prison-grade turkey.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: It was disgusting.
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: Yikes.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: Should we talk about Harold? My turkey that I've never played.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: It's his 13th birthday this year. Yes.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: Harold's 13th birthday.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: Yeah, when I first started working at UPS, they actually
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: gave us a frozen turkey. Yeah, I still have him.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: In the freezer.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Never ate him.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Never ate him.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: We still buy a.
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: Lot of food.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: We just don't buy a lot of food.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: What's that?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: A berry.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: A berry, the burrito.
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: Berries, what, three years old?
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: That's just.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: That's weird. Isn't that weird?
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: He's part of the family.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: You realize when you die.
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: and.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: Like you're going to bury Harold with me.
- 1:15:04Speaker 14: No I'm just you know like people are going to
- 1:15:07Speaker 14: go through the house and find shit.
- 1:15:09Speaker 9: Yeah exactly they're like this turkey is from like I
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: got it in 1997 well I got him in 98 I'm.
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: Kind of I'm leaving room for him to actually have
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: been alive at some point so 13th group yeah.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: We were explaining Harold or no a week before I
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: think on the Lexington trip we explained Harold to Greg
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: didn't we You heard all about Harold on the trip
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: to Lexington.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: The beloved Harold. Was it his birthday or death day?
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: I don't know. He was born to us.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: He was an adopted turkey.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: I say he's 13. I'm allotting him some time to
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: have been alive first.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: We got it in 98.
- 1:16:01Speaker 9: 98.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: That's a long time.
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: For a turkey. We almost lost him a couple times,
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: like when your electricity went out.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: That was scary. I thought Harold's days were gone.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: You could have just re-frozen him.
- 1:16:13Speaker 15: No.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: You don't want it to go bad.
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: No.
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: No.
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: And then last year when our power, during the ice storm,
- 1:16:20Speaker 6: when our power went out for a week.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: Did you just put him outside?
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: We buried him in a toad full of snow.
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: No. He was making little snow turkeys.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: As long as he remains frozen, he's still alive. He's
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: like a cryogenic turkey.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: He's alive.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: God bless him. Are we going to watch the movie now?
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: I'd say so. If nothing else, I'd say Turkzilla was
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: a success.
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: It was a surprising success.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I'm giddy that people liked it. That was a delicious success.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: None of us have died yet.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: It was well cooked. There's nothing.
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: There's no way it could be anything bad in there.
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: Just the spirit of it bubbling out and breathing. That's true.
- 1:17:07Speaker 11: We didn't go into that. Would you like to describe
- 1:17:09Speaker 11: what was going on there? It was some oozing. It
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: was like pulsating. It was breathing turkey juice.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: Maybe. Or the spirit of turkey. Whatever. That's right. The
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: evil spirit of turkey. One of Harold's family or something.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: Mm-hmm.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Oh, man. So, yeah, I have to say, I figured
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: one way or the other, you know, horribly bad or awesome,
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: it was going to be a terrific episode.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: It was fucking epic.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: An epic episode. So, yeah, I'd say definitely a meaty episode.
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: I'm not sure if the episode's been epic, but the
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: turkey cake has been epic.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: We had turkey cake. Yeah, we'll fall asleep. We'll fall
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: asleep during the movie. It's an hour-long movie. We're going
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: to fall asleep. Well, that wouldn't surprise me, actually.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Well, Marlena usually falls asleep. I know it's going to
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: happen anyway. She was in the.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Middle of one of her segments in the car, and
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: she fell asleep.
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: That's true.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: Let's go do this. Let's go watch it.
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: We will go head in there and watch.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: Thanksgiving.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Thanksgiving. There we go.
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: Do they really say gobble gobble motherfuckers?
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: You'll find out in a minute. You'll find out.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: It's a special experience.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: And then we will all come back and discuss it.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: So we will be back.
- 1:18:35Speaker 8: Thanksgiving for every wrong move Thanksgiving for every wrong move It's.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Like our legs are harder to shut than the JonBenet
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: Ramsey case.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: Oh, shit! Dang!
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Damn, that was good!

- 1:19:38Speaker 10: Look, there comes one of them now.
- 1:19:48Speaker 16: My name is George Kosana. I'm with Night of the
- 1:19:51Speaker 16: Living Dead, and I'm listening to movie meltdown. The dead,
- 1:19:56Speaker 16: they're all messed up.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 1:20:06Speaker 17: Back in the 1500s. In the settlement of Kralberg, an
- 1:20:09Speaker 17: old Indian by the name of Feathercloud, who some people
- 1:20:12Speaker 17: thought had black magic powers, was dishonored by a pilgrim.
- 1:20:16Speaker 17: The pilgrim's name was Chuck Langston. The old Indian was
- 1:20:20Speaker 17: so outraged, he vowed he would curse all white men.
- 1:20:23Speaker 17: This was no ordinary curse, however. Feathercloud necromanced a... turtle
- 1:20:29Speaker 17: that would roam the earth every 505 years, killing the
- 1:20:34Speaker 17: first humans he made contact with. He was more evil
- 1:20:37Speaker 17: than anything you've ever seen before. A turkey that would
- 1:20:41Speaker 17: stop at nothing to get what he wanted to kill.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: Now you've gone and left me. You were my, you
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: were my friend. My friend. You got killed by a
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: turkey who's not, who's not my friend.
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: Who's not my friend.
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: Oh, Billy, Billy, Billy You were my, my best friend
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: We were meant to be.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: Best friends forever And now you're a dead.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Best friend.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Dead best friend, Billy.
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: Why did you have to leave me, Billy?
- 1:21:28Speaker 17: Why did you have to leave me?
- 1:21:31Speaker 5: You're my best friend, Billy.
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: Can you believe you can touch the sky i believe
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: i can touch the sky think about it every night
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: no candy for you.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Well before we candy should we round this out as
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: any good thanksgiving celebration with pumpkin pie.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: Oh fuck yeah okay all right i love pie i'm
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: a thank.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: You i love pie.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, pa.
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: There's more tryptophan in his. Yeah.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: How many pieces did you get? I just had two pieces.
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: It is the kind of food that can put you
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: to sleep.
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: I think I would be asleep already if it had
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: been so awesome. The only reason to have pumpkin pie
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: is Cool Whip. I don't like Cool Whip.
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: I do.
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: Who doesn't like Cool Whip?
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: I like Cool Whip.
- 1:22:23Speaker 13: Cool Whip.
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: I don't give a fuck. Cool Whip.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Cool Whip.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: I'm going to forget Thanksgiving. I'm just going to, we're
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: just going to have this.
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: Every time? Every time. Every time.
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: Well, I ain't making that every time.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: No, every week. Get on it.
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: Finish digging out your remnants.
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: I'm going to fuck someone in this car.
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: I don't like that movie. I don't care.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: It's much better watching it with someone. That's for sure.
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: Did you watch it alone? Yeah, I watched it alone
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: the first time I watched it.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Let's just put it out of bag.
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: Because it was much more entertaining.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: I got a big piece of pie.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: I'm affected.
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: I kind of want a bigger piece than what I have.
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie. That thing that I saw by
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: the river, I'm now thinking it could be a werewolf.
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: Still longer man-pimping?
- 1:23:17Speaker 5: Was it moving?
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it moved. Ryan still needs some, so he still.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: Needs to have his cake.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: I'm gonna drop my pie into the cool whip.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: That seems like a good plan.
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: My pie's almost done.
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: Sit the headphones down.
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: I love it.
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: Now that's the Thanksgiving special right there. You don't get
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: that every week.
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: I know that kind of party.
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: You want me to stick my head? It's not how
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: I originally remember that line.
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: How come.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: You say this? Now that you're loaded up with pie,
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: are you ready to continue?
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: Put the game away.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Thanks for the pie, Brian.
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: Pie was delicious.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: Thanks for making food.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: It was delicious.
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: Thank you. You're welcome.
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: So now that we're stuffed with pie, we can move on.
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: This week's Sofa Theater feature is Thanksgiving.
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: Fucking A.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: The year is 2009. Director, and he should be so proud,
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: Jordan Downey. Spoiler alert. You don't want to mess up
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: this technically tight plot we've got going here. I don't
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: think we want to ruin that for you. So, yeah,
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: it's on Netflix. Just go watch it. All right, first
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: we'll start with the fact that it has, at least
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: on the DVD version, you're getting screwed on Netflix, possibly
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: the best warning on any film I've ever seen. On
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: the title screen, it tells you, warning, tits in the
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: first second.
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: And I'll be damned.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: Which technically, it's only tit in the first second. It
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: takes a couple of seconds.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: It actually takes a couple of seconds before you get
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: to that.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Well, if you're just counting footage, not counting the title
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: crawls and whatnot, but... But yeah, even then they're technically
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: a little off, but whatever. So, yeah, if that gives
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: you an idea what you're getting yourself into, yeah, that's
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: our first shot is a big close-up on a not
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: that attractive....
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: Not a very attractive person.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: Not a very attractive woman who's about 100, at least
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: in our thinking.
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: Wanda Lust.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, what is up with these people? Are they all
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: just porn stars? I guess she probably was. She probably was.
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: With a name like that, you don't have any other option.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: Wanda Lust and General Bastard and.
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: General Bastard was awesome.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: What was the other one, though?
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: Oh, there were several scary people involved in this movie.
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: But maybe she actually was just a random porn actress,
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: because you'll notice that none of the other girls got naked.
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: No.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: And it's not like they were there for their fine
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: acting skills, so.
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: And one girl flashed her bra, and she was pretty
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: proud of what she had, but it wasn't much.
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: I don't know what's up with that, but, all right.
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: Her teeth were bigger than her bra.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: Her teeth were bigger than her bra. It's like she
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: had caps on caps.
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: I just like to show him a lot too. She
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: talks like this. Oh, Billy.
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: All right. So where else do we want to take
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: this one?
- 1:26:07Speaker 16: We're all awake.
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: That is exciting.
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: I didn't fall asleep at all. Jay kept trying to,
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: but I kept elbowing him. I'm like, no, you are
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: not going to fall asleep during this shit.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: It was like Mr. Saints Theater all over again. It's
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: only an hour.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: You're missing the best part. You fed him turkey before
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: putting him in front of a movie.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: It's like a retarded movie.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Your kids are retarded.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: That is a quote from the film. That's one of
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: my favorite lines. It shouldn't be a surprise.
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: This movie was chock full of awesome. I don't care
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: what anybody says. I fucking love this movie. I watched
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: it by myself last year.
- 1:26:42Speaker 6: Didn't we have some call-ins after I watched it that
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: were like, yeah, this movie was great.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and I've had a few people this week that
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: once I mentioned it, they were like, yeah. I think
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: everyone hates me because of it, but I like that movie.
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: It's nothing I would recommend to anybody, you know.
- 1:26:58Speaker 10: Normal?
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: Normal, yeah, exactly.
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: It's... It's definitely, it's bad, but it knows it's bad.
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: And it's better if you have a group of people. Oh, yeah.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: I watched it alone on a rainy morning.
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: It was not good.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: I still had chuckles, and I highlighted, I guess, on
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: the bad portions of it.
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: I must have been in a really good mood when
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: I watched it on myself.
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: Because I fucking, I was excited. I think it's hilarious.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: I think I would love it.
- 1:27:26Speaker 17: I think I would love it.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: It's much better.
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: It still amazes me that you like it as much
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: as you do me.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: Me too. One thing I usually fucking hate movies that
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: look low quality. Fucking hate low quality movies. I can't
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: stand low quality and this is chocolate low quality.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: This is like a buck and a half made this movie.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: For some reason, I don't know. It speaks to me.
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: It speaks to me and my inner turkey.
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: It doesn't surprise me that I at least appreciate it
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: on its own weird level. It doesn't surprise me that
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: Marlena likes it, but The fact that you like it
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: is still puzzling to me, so that's kind of awesome.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Connections with turkeys.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: I guess.
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: You know how you do, don't you?
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: You grew up with a turkey. What are you talking about?
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: Even before Herman, there was an Ethel. She was a
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: real turkey, though. She was alive. You had a real turkey?
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: I mean, my grandma.
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: My grandma had it out on the farm, and her
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: name was Ethel, and she could sit, and you could
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: pet her, and she was a nice turkey.
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: Ethel was awesome.
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: Did you ever eat her?
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: No, we didn't eat Ethel. We ate the other ones,
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: but we didn't eat Ethel.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: That would just be wrong.
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: She'd have dignified death.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: I don't want to know. She got a disease or something.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: It was a lifetime movie.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: When you hear grandma walking down the street, here, turkey, turkey, turkey, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble.
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: My grandma.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: Walking down the road.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: She didn't round it out with motherfucker.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: Gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: I cannot see your grandmother pulling off gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: She should have just said, gas, ass, or grass.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: That guy looks like the kind of guy who would
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: actually do that.
- 1:28:56Speaker 5: Yeah, he does.
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: He looks like the kind of guy you would find
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: in the back of a parking lot somewhere just doing
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: that with any random person or turkey.
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: Random animals.
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: This is a, to the listeners, this is a gentleman
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: that picks the turkey up on the side of the
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: road apparently hitchhiking. And uses the line, gas, ass, or grass.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: On a turkey.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: But the funniest part is actually, didn't see that until
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: just now, Brian showed us the outtakes or the bloopers,
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: and the directors actually had to stop the guy from
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: fingering the puppet.
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: Because that was too far.
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: That's creepy.
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: And he had to question it. Is that too weird?
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: Is that taking it too far? So this guy really
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: was that creepy. He really looks that creepy.
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: That's what he's doing right now.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: I'm acting!
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: He was not acting.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: I'm method acting. I'm planning for my next role.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: You weren't real, right?
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: He wasn't even a cast member. He was just some
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: guy trying to buy.
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: It at the time. I think he was. You just
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: see him show up on the side of the road
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: and that car pulls over. That probably just happened. They
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: were like, keep rolling! So some of these stuff, let's
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: say that some of the key moments that I thought
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: were pretty genius. The fact that, okay, we've got the
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: dog's owner, flashy owner, whatever that crazy hermit's guy.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: I think his name was Hermit.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: They referred to him as Hermit the whole time.
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: His name was Oscar. Oscar the Hermit. It's what's in
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: the credits at Watch. Oscar the Prime.
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: But when the turkey attacks the dog and the dog
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: comes and finds him, he starts going, your dog had
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: an accident. The fact that he doesn't acknowledge the fact
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: that he's talking to a turkey, he's like, well, what
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: happened to him? He doesn't miss a beat on the
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: fact that he's talking to a fucking talking turkey.
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: Right we'll get to that better all the time it
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: was people on their lack of fucking realizing they're talking
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: to a fucking.
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: Bird most of the others are shocked by it he
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: just carries on the conversation like it was a guy standing.
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: There but it's a turkey i like his reaction though.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: No god first my wife now my dog.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: He's not having a good week no poor guy um
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: do we need to go into the john bonnet ramsay
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: Why not? They did several times. Over and over.
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: Let's find a joke we like and let's just use
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: it three or four times.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Well, okay, and this was made in 2009. How old
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: is that joke? I think that's hilarious.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: That's what makes it so funny.
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: At random points during this podcast, let's continue to make
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: OJ jokes, okay?
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: That's as hard to catch as OJ.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: What year did the Jean Benet Ramsey case close, though?
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: Because they, you know....
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: I think it was fairly recent that they finally said
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: that it was somebody else and not the parents.
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: So maybe that's why they're making.
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: It was a stupid reference.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: It's so old. That's what kills me. It's a retarded
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: joke anyway, but it's the kind of joke you would
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: have heard a couple of months after this was dragging on.
- 1:31:54Speaker 9: I really want to say that joke, but then I
- 1:31:57Speaker 9: just am worried that people won't even.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: I think if people have seen this movie, they'd get
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: it and find it hilarious. But if I were to
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: just say it.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: I like they're harder to close than JonBenet Ramsey case. See,
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: it feels good, doesn't it? It does.
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: It feels great.
- 1:32:14Speaker 7: Oh, Lord.
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: Darren, the awkward geeky guy, says, well, what did he say?
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: Oh, well, that's good because her legs were harder to
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: close than JonBenet Ramsey's legs.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: And that just is.
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:30Speaker 10: Gross.
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: Too far, too far.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: Nuh-uh.
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: How is that not as far as finger in a turkey?
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: JonBenet is totally legal now, so it's okay to say
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: that kind of thing. She'll be legal. That's true.
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: She's been dead now.
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: That's the scary part is that's true.
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: She is legal now.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: If she's not dead.
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: I'm sure she is.
- 1:32:52Speaker 9: What?
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: If she was still alive, she'd be at the legal age.
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: I was like... There's no question about whether she's dead
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: or not. I'm pretty sure that's the one in the headlock.
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: Maybe that's why the case has been so hard to close.
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: Like that girl's legs.
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: This is confusing. Like the John Bonnet Ramsey case.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: I think the part that sent me over the edge
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: was the turkey-flavored con.
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: The gravy-flavored con.
- 1:33:19Speaker 9: And Billy was like, I knew she was warming up
- 1:33:21Speaker 9: to me.
- 1:33:23Speaker 13: I love this movie.
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: It's chock full of awesome.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: Well, I do have to give him credit for the animation.
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: That little flashback slash story animated part was fucking hilarious.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, this is awesome.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: For him eating the cartoon turkey, that was pretty awesome.
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: That was equally. That was out of the same school
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: of animation, floating turkey there.
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: They had some great... Blood splatter. Blood splatter.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: Very cartoony. Shooting out of the father's head.
- 1:33:55Speaker 5: That was cool.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: Fancy special effects.
- 1:33:57Speaker 5: I think I fell asleep at that point.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: I'm trying to wake you up.
- 1:34:01Speaker 6: No, I think we keep paying that much attention to you, shit,
- 1:34:04Speaker 6: trying to watch this fucking movie.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: Is there any structure to how we're going to talk
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: about this? Is there any structure? I mean, yeah, there's
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: not much to the movie itself, so I think we
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: just go with random things that were awesome or horrible.
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: There are equally as many. In any movie, and I'm
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: glad I wasn't the only one that brought this up
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: during the movie, but I've noticed this in a lot
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: of movies in the last 20 years or so, Because
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: you had the 80s and people just liked to randomly
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: get naked in movies. But I hate now when they
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: have sex scenes and people are wearing clothes. I'm like,
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: either if you don't want to get naked, just don't
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: shoot that scene, or if you have to, shoot around it.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: But don't make them wear clothes and fuck. That doesn't work.
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: She was wearing a skirt.
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's impossible.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: Down mid-thigh, the skirt was too big.
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's impossible to do. I'm saying it's implausible.
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: Nobody would do that. Just get undressed.
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: Unless you're in a really big hurry. He had more
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: boring to go do.
- 1:35:03Speaker 5: That would just slow him down.
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, he had enough time to take his
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: shirt off, but he couldn't get his pants down. I
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: don't know. And I see it in a lot of movies,
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: and usually it's because the star doesn't want to get naked.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: These weren't really stars.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. I'm like, these girls were not
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: really high-profile actresses, so why they hired them but they
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: didn't want to get naked makes no sense to me.
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: And why you would put that scene in.
- 1:35:27Speaker 6: Maybe they think I filled their nude quota with that
- 1:35:29Speaker 6: bitch running around in the front.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: Why didn't they just cast Wanda? Wanda could have been
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: the scary girl because she was scary too.
- 1:35:36Speaker 9: Wanda, I'm sorry, I don't care if it's Wanda Lust
- 1:35:39Speaker 9: and you think that's funny and clever. Wanda is the
- 1:35:41Speaker 9: most unattractive stripper or.
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: Porn star name ever. Like Milfred or Harriet.
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: Back in the 60s and the 70s, that was the name. Oh,
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: Wicked Wanda would disagree with you.
- 1:35:55Speaker 7: Yeah, you've got to understand the time period. Like nowadays, 90s,
- 1:35:59Speaker 7: stuff like that, how many people are going to choose Crystal?
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: You know, I mean, really, but back in the 80s, Crystal?
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: That was a happening name. That's totally a porn name.
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a total porn name. You know, you
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: do Crystal back in the 80s.
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: Misty?
- 1:36:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I do have a total porn stripper name.
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's okay.
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: I have a porn name.
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: As bad as mine. You have a soap opera name.
- 1:36:19Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:36:21Speaker 9: Marlena Mayfield, The Alliteration. It's pretty, it's a pretty point star.
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: I don't know, it seems more soap opera-ish to me.
- 1:36:28Speaker 8: It does.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: It's because I was named after a soap opera.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: But my name is short for Mary Magdalene, so. I
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: was named after a horse.
- 1:36:41Speaker 5: She was.
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: It's a book.
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: It's a story. Yes, a book.
- 1:36:44Speaker 6: It's called Misty of some kind of Chinenitook or some
- 1:36:47Speaker 6: stupid fucking book.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: My mom used to love horses.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: It's a book.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: I fucking hate books.
- 1:36:53Speaker 5: It's not a book.
- 1:36:54Speaker 6: It sucks.
- 1:36:55Speaker 5: I hate books.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: It's no fucking pictures.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: Him, Billy getting, learning how to read with the golden book,
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: that's pretty good.
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: That's one of the things I will give this credit,
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: because I went in expecting to not like a good
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: portion of this movie and liked more of it than
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: I planned.
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I liked their whole montage. I'm sorry, I liked
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: their whole montage. It's only been five minutes.
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: That's what I think works is them playing with these
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: stupid little conventions of stuff in movies where it's like,
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: you know, them doing the whole montage. Wow, that took forever.
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: That was like five minutes. The one even better than that,
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: the one that's my favorite is when she's like, oh,
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: that's my house over there.
- 1:37:32Speaker 9: Yeah, I know.
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: I dropped you off here last night. And I'm like,
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: they do over explain stupid shit in movies all the time.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: So I was like, I thought that was funny. They're like, yeah,
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: I know. I just dropped you off here. So, yeah,
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: I think that kind of stuff is actually more clever
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: than I expected to come out of Thanksgiving.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:37:48Speaker 9: Well, I think, like, most low-budget movies either try to
- 1:37:53Speaker 9: pretend like they're not low-budget movies or take it too
- 1:37:55Speaker 9: far with the, like, ha-ha, we're a low-budget movie. But
- 1:37:58Speaker 9: this one, I think, was, like, clever and right on point. Well,
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: it's not taking itself way too seriously.
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: But not doing it over cheesy. It's just the right
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: amount of ridiculousness.
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it is one of those, and we've
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: gone into this before, of movies that are bad for
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: the sake of being bad.
- 1:38:16Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, there are movies in the same genre.
- 1:38:18Speaker 9: I'd say, like, Chicken Dead or whatever that movie was called.
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: I can't remember.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: It's a trauma movie. There's a lot of, like.
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: Fuck that trauma movie. And that's the thing. That's why
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: I expected to dislike this because it seems like they're
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: going for something very trauma, but I think this is
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: a little more clever than trauma. Fuck trauma. Thank you.
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: I like some trauma stuff.
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: No, this doesn't go too far.
- 1:38:41Speaker 7: I mean, there's been some movies and yeah, we've been
- 1:38:43Speaker 7: at conventions with some of these movies that we won't mention.
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: God damn. I mean, man, jeez.
- 1:38:49Speaker 7: They they're so fucking annoying it's like i can't even
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: stand being around them this one's not so annoying.
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: Yeah that's what i was saying earlier about being so
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: leery about little independent.
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: I'm major leery.
- 1:39:02Speaker 7: About it yeah and i'm not like a fucking connoisseur
- 1:39:05Speaker 7: of anything like that but.
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: That's a damn connoisseur yeah.
- 1:39:09Speaker 5: There's just some things i just don't fucking like you
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: know and Some of those movies.
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: Well, I'm surprised I like this movie.
- 1:39:14Speaker 7: Yeah, that's why I was surprised she even liked it.
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: That's why I was like, well, I guess if she
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: likes it, then it can't be all bad. That's, I think,
- 1:39:20Speaker 7: what it was last year. Because I heard other people
- 1:39:22Speaker 7: mention it. And I was like, that sounds awful. I
- 1:39:24Speaker 7: just saw, like, the box. I was like, oh, this
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: is going to be terrible.
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: And then you loved it. And I was just like,
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: how is that possible? So I was like, well, now
- 1:39:31Speaker 3: I guess I'm going to have to watch it.
- 1:39:32Speaker 9: I mean, there's a whole, like. There really is, like,
- 1:39:34Speaker 9: a whole genre of stupid movies like this. Like, there's
- 1:39:36Speaker 9: a Christmas one.
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: And usually they piss me off. There's a Christmas one.
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: I can't remember what it's called, but it has Ron
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: Jeremy in it.
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: And it's, like.
- 1:39:42Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: There's the mark of quality in any movie.
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: Well, I know, but this one has a.
- 1:39:47Speaker 9: like old porn star in it and it's still hilarious
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: I think like they did that making fun of like
- 1:39:52Speaker 9: they were not only making fun of the fact that
- 1:39:54Speaker 9: it was a low budget movie they were making fun
- 1:39:56Speaker 9: of the genre that they were in which I think
- 1:39:58Speaker 9: is what made.
- 1:39:58Speaker 6: It work but they did it in a successful way
- 1:40:00Speaker 6: without making fun of it to the point where it's
- 1:40:02Speaker 6: just like beating you over the head.
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: Like this is funny look at this look at this.
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: I think that's why this and I think that's why
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: I end up liking this more is because in most
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: of these kind of low budget horror movies they're trying
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: so hard They're trying too hard, really, and this one
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: seems like they're just having fun. I mean, and if
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: you watch the blooper reel, they are just having fun. Like,
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: it just looks like they're out in a, you know,
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: field with a camera screwed around, and... In the end,
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: they want to make this movie, but they're not really
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: going to kill themselves in the process. They know they've
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: got a limited budget. They know these actors aren't the
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: top of the line here. So they're just friends out
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: there shooting a movie, having fun. And I think that
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: comes through in the movie. I think you kind of
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: get caught up in that, and you enjoy it because
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: they're having fun. And I think that's the difference between
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: a lot of low-budget horror movies.
- 1:40:51Speaker 7: Well, it's hard to make a low-budget horror movie and
- 1:40:54Speaker 7: have it actually stand out and have people.
- 1:40:57Speaker 5: like it without going.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: A little too overboard.
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: Yeah, there's so many of them. Which one do you watch?
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: How does it stand out?
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: You know, when you talk about that, I thought the
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: gore was pretty good. Yeah, it was. The knife cut
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: in the father's throat was pretty good.
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: In fact, this kind of movie was kind of minimal.
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: It wasn't as thrown at you as you'd kind of
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: expect it to be.
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: Yeah, it had its scenes, but it wasn't like overload
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: to me.
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: Well, even some low-budget horror movies actually have decent special
- 1:41:23Speaker 7: effects and decent blood and decent gore. It's... The part
- 1:41:26Speaker 7: that usually turns me off is the writing and the
- 1:41:30Speaker 7: slapstickishness of, like you said, beating you over the head
- 1:41:34Speaker 7: with a, damn it, this fucking movie's outrageous.
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: Let's see how far we can push it.
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: Turkey sex, yeah, that was pretty far.
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: But it was funny.
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: Same thing with finger and turkeys.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: Well, and I won't totally go along with this one.
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: not having some horrible lines in it because.
- 1:41:53Speaker 7: It does oh it has horrible lines in it but
- 1:41:56Speaker 7: and and not that great acting but it's funny it's
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: almost like it's almost like they weren't really trying.
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: And that's yeah that's and that's what i was gonna
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: say it's like i think they're aware of how bad
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: those lines like they're almost saying it with a smirk
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: of like god aren't movies like this horrible i'm gonna
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: put a line like that in this movie and it
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: is it almost does seem like they know how bad
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: it is And they don't care, and they're having fun
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: with it. And I think most low-budget horror movies don't
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: do that. We're going to win an Oscar with this. Well,
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: horror movies don't win Oscars anyway.
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: Either they take it too seriously.
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: Yeah, they do.
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: Or they know it's so bad that they go overboard
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: with it.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: I think maybe what it is is bad horror movies
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: mimic and pull it off poorly.
- 1:42:37Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: Whereas this is the same skill level, but it's intentional satire.
- 1:42:44Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: And both can be really close to the same thing.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: But you're right. That's what makes this work is they
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: know that they're not taking themselves seriously. They know that
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: nobody's going to really think that they were really trying
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: to pull this off.
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: And I think that is how it wins people over
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: because everybody I've heard about this, I mean, I don't
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: know that anybody's going, oh, that movie sucked. Everybody's always like, oh,
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: it's terrible. Man, I love that movie. That's what I'm.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Trying to warn Dr.
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: Crayon.
- 1:43:11Speaker 4: I'm like, this movie is fucking horrible, but it's fucking awesome.
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: That's like every response I've heard is like, oh, it's awful. Man,
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: I've got to watch it again this year. And I
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: think that's what it's going to be. It's going to
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: be like one of those, you're going to be like, ah,
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: it's Thanksgiving.
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: Time to watch Thanksgiving again. My second year in a row.
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: Woo! And it does help that it's only about an hour. So,
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: you know, you don't have too much time to be
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: invested in it. And, you know, if you think it's
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: kind of bad, you don't have to suffer too long either.
- 1:43:35Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not long and dragged out or.
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: Anything like that.
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: And you even get a Thanksgiving break.
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: Woohoo! You did get a woohoo.
- 1:43:43Speaker 5: You get boobies in the first second.
- 1:43:45Speaker 9: I'm sorry, I can't imagine anyone thinking this movie is
- 1:43:47Speaker 9: just horrible and unwatchable.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: No, I can see a lot of people. Those people
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: are British. well no just there's a lot of people
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: yeah there's a lot of people that don't realize that
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: level that don't see that extra level where they acknowledge
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: that they're being bad you know there's people that just
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: look at it and go oh this is bad well
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: you're right but the people making it also realize that
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: it's bad and that kind of adds a different layer
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: to it maybe i can get into it yeah i
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: mean that may be the only reason maybe because it
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: was sort of fun in the level that it's bad
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: and not beating you over the head with and not
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: taking itself too seriously even if it.
- 1:44:22Speaker 6: Has like a great plot or great actors if it
- 1:44:24Speaker 6: looks low quality if it looks like it's shot on
- 1:44:27Speaker 6: like a fucking handheld you should all.
- 1:44:29Speaker 7: Watch it what were you watching the other day that
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: you were watching a trailer for something and I actually
- 1:44:33Speaker 7: thought it was pretty funny but you were like I'm
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: not gonna watch it I don't fucking care I.
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: Don't even remember it pissed me off.
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: It looks like but it looked funny and I can't
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: remember I was like you know actually I think I
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: might watch that that kind of looks funny by.
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: Yourself alright whatever I don't remember what it was, but yeah,
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: if it has that low quality look, I usually.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: Cannot get past that.
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: I can't.
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: I can't tolerate it, but this one, for some reason,
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: I don't normally count against them for it being low quality,
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: because I know how hard it is.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: I'm very superficial.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: Well, no, because I know how hard it is to
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: get the money, so I give anybody credit who's doing it,
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: but I also know that it usually kind of puts
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: my guard up, because I know 90% of stuff that's
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: going out there at that budget level is stuff I
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: don't like. It's usually stuff that is kind of bad.
- 1:45:19Speaker 3: Or it's just something I don't get into, and these
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: guys are really thrilled with it, but good for them.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: I just don't like it. So, I mean, it's such
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: a minimal window of stuff that's that low budget, and
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: I think it's awesome. But I still feel like you
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: need to encourage everybody to make these movies, but to me,
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: I'm still going to say there's 90% of them that
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: I think are pretty bad, but... You know, you still
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: kind of have to have that or you're not going
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: to get the good ones. You're not going to have
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: a Thanksgiving unless you let all these other idiots go
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: out there and make their horrible movies.
- 1:45:46Speaker 5: Well, then you won't have any independent films.
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that too.
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: I'm not saying I can't make them. I'm just saying
- 1:45:50Speaker 4: I don't want.
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: To fucking watch them.
- 1:45:51Speaker 17: I agree.
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: That's all it is. I was like, how did you
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: get the clerks? See, that's one of those. That, like,
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: he had no money, but... he found a way to
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: work around it. He wrote really smart, and he actually
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: got some pretty decent actors that he sort of lucked
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: into finding, but.
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: No, no, in Clerks, everyone was terrible. They eventually went
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: on to be good actors.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: Randall was awesome. That's the thing. Randall was not an
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: actor and is fucking awesome in that movie, and that's
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: what's amazing is that... He wasn't even supposed to be
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: in it. He lucked into having it.
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: He's not even supposed to be there today.
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: He's not even supposed to be there. He was not
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: an actor.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: He just, he was fucking awesome. He's not acting.
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: That's the problem. So, I don't know. It is one
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: of those you can luck into finding good people and
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: you can actually write a good movie and make an
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: independent film work. But, yeah, they weren't trying to do
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: that with this one. This is just them kind of
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: having fun with it. Although I will give them credit.
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: The scene between the little man... Which is the turkey
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: wearing a Groucho nose. And the father of the girl,
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: dressed as a turkey, is an awesome scene. Not just
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: in this movie, just in general. The tone of that
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: scene is fucking hilarious.
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: I'm not going to lie. This is pretty damn awkward, Sheriff.
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: The timing on each line, everything.
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Both in these ridiculous outfits, sitting in this room, talking
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: about the weather.
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: Turkey's dressed up like a man. The man's dressed up
- 1:47:19Speaker 5: like a turkey.
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: Talking about allergies.
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: Talking about if it's hazelnut coffee or not. I was
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: just like, this scene is fucking genius. I don't care
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: what anybody says.
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: What does he say?
- 1:47:31Speaker 5: I wasn't opposed to the.
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: To the size of the fuck I was opposed to
- 1:47:36Speaker 5: the age.
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: Of the fuck how old are you anyway what was
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: he five hundred five hundred five hundred.
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: Six five ten yeah.
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: I was like, that's, yeah, all right. It was like,
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: fuck it, I guess you can say it.
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 1:47:51Speaker 3: That scene is awesome. I will give them credit.
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: It's cleverly disguised when the girl shows up.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Again, that's... Let's talk about.
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: That girl for a minute. Come on now.
- 1:47:59Speaker 6: I mean, I know I don't have good skin, but
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: you don't see me being in movies, and you don't
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: see any close-ups.
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: So, I mean, somebody give that bitch some clearance.
- 1:48:07Speaker 5: She actually, you know, that may be part of the film.
- 1:48:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: I mean, think about it, if you think about how
- 1:48:14Speaker 7: ridiculous it is, how come, like, the girl, okay, the
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: hotter of the.
- 1:48:17Speaker 3: Two girls, which one would you have cast as the lead?
- 1:48:20Speaker 14: They were both pretty they were but they took the
- 1:48:24Speaker 14: girl that you normally wouldn't pick for the lead the
- 1:48:26Speaker 14: girl with the bad skin and put her in all
- 1:48:28Speaker 14: the face scenes i think it's kind of funny.
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: She was the better actress.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: I mean, if you're going to put them on a
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: scale with each other.
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's really not saying much.
- 1:48:39Speaker 5: But still, I think it just adds to the film.
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: It adds to the fact that you're sitting there bitching
- 1:48:45Speaker 5: about her skin.
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: I was like, I think it works.
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: And they kept giving her these sad profile shots.
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: Of course.
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: She's got a chin like mine. You don't put that
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: in profile. It disappears.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: It like.
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: It comes straight to my chest.
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: It's not good.
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: Well, it is almost distracting because that's why I guess
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: I'm watching that and I'm like, I guess that's why
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: they put all these damn pretty people in movies because
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: every time they do a big close-up of her, I'm like, man,
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: her face. It was like I would get distracted by
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: her weird-looking face. And I was just like, I guess
- 1:49:14Speaker 3: that's why. I guess you don't focus so much when
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: you're looking at perfect little people on the screen.
- 1:49:19Speaker 4: Which is why I like watching movies.
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: You focus on the story then because you're not distracted
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: by their weird-looking face.
- 1:49:24Speaker 5: And now she will be crying.
- 1:49:26Speaker 3: Yeah. We're sorry. We thought you were a decent actress.
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: We said she was better than the other one. We
- 1:49:31Speaker 4: didn't say she was a decent actress.
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: The one that surprised me, the Billy character was actually
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: pretty good. He's playing the stupid fat guy role, quote unquote.
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: And he does those cliche things. But along the way,
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: I was like... I also kind of buy him, you know,
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: I was like more so than some of these other people.
- 1:49:48Speaker 4: Cause it's probably how he really is.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: Cause the main guy is a pretty bad actor. He's
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: funny and I like him, but 40.
- 1:49:54Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: You can see him acting. You can see his gears
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: turning in his head.
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: You can feel his acting.
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: But it's, it's all, the entire thing is that way.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: He is consistently bad acting.
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: It is, it is uniform.
- 1:50:10Speaker 5: But then I kind of buy them that way, you know?
- 1:50:13Speaker 7: There's a lot of guys that were the football player
- 1:50:15Speaker 7: kind of star, all-star.
- 1:50:17Speaker 5: Jock guys that were like, uh, uh, uh, maybe we
- 1:50:21Speaker 5: should go over here.
- 1:50:22Speaker 6: I've met real people whose regular actual dialogue that they're
- 1:50:26Speaker 6: actually saying sounds like really badly scripted bullshit.
- 1:50:30Speaker 4: It's just, it should not be.
- 1:50:31Speaker 7: Oh, the guy yesterday at the Peddler's Mall, this kid
- 1:50:35Speaker 7: was coming out of the bathroom, and.
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: He was like, Oh, welcome back, weary traveler.
- 1:50:40Speaker 9: What?
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: He said that.
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: To his kid?
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: He said that to his kid.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: He was like four or five. What the fuck are
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: you talking about? Did his kid punch him? No, his
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: kid just go, Dad, you're a douche.
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: Welcome back, weary traveler.
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: You're done, bitch.
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: Son of a bitch, why can't you Billy's death scene
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: is awesome as well. Their whole little montage dream sequence,
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: whatever the fuck that is, the song.
- 1:51:08Speaker 4: And him holding his gun. I don't think it's that bad.
- 1:51:12Speaker 4: It's not that bad. It's not that bad.
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: That part is funny as hell.
- 1:51:16Speaker 5: It looked like stuffed tube socks.
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: I think it was.
- 1:51:20Speaker 4: I think it was like pantyhose.
- 1:51:22Speaker 5: Pantyhose with tube socks.
- 1:51:24Speaker 4: They kept showing it to you very closely. They wanted
- 1:51:26Speaker 4: to make sure you saw it.
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: They're like, look, this isn't real guts. They'd cut away
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: and cut back.
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: His hands were there in one frame and then they'd
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: not be there in the next holding them in because
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: they were falling out.
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: And because he was trying not to roll over and
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: laugh like he does in the bloopers. It's not that bad.
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: It's not even that bad.
- 1:51:46Speaker 4: But yeah, back to the girl. How fucking dumb. You
- 1:51:49Speaker 4: can't even realize if it's a fucking pervert wearing your
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: dad's face.
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: That's another one. Well, that's another one I think they're
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: playing on the horror cliche. Because how many movies have
- 1:51:59Speaker 3: done that now? How many movies can you... take somebody's
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: face off, and then, oh, you're of course going to
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: wear it on your face. I mean, it is like
- 1:52:06Speaker 3: a ridiculous cliche at this point.
- 1:52:08Speaker 4: It was really disturbing. It took us Chainsaw Massacre.
- 1:52:11Speaker 3: What else is there? Devil's Rejects. I mean, to me,
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: there's a bunch of them.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: There was.
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: What did I... I just watched one yesterday. Actually, yeah.
- 1:52:21Speaker 6: Did we tell him that Bill Moseley asked if you
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: were having a sex change?
- 1:52:24Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: I can't remember if we had talked about that. No,
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: I don't think we did. Let's go to that side
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: story real fast.
- 1:52:30Speaker 9: So this guy that I work with, I told him
- 1:52:33Speaker 9: the week before that I met Danny Trejo, and he
- 1:52:36Speaker 9: was really excited about that. And he was like, I
- 1:52:40Speaker 9: would love to meet Bill Moseley one day.
- 1:52:42Speaker 4: And I was like, I've met Bill Moseley before.
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: Like seven times.
- 1:52:44Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:52:45Speaker 9: I was like, he's pretty cool. He's like, Oh my God.
- 1:52:47Speaker 9: And he was like so excited by that. And then
- 1:52:50Speaker 9: Bill Moseley was at the convention. So I called his
- 1:52:52Speaker 9: wife and I was like, so do you want me
- 1:52:53Speaker 9: to get Michael Bill Moseley's autograph?
- 1:52:55Speaker 4: She's like, Oh my God. Yes. So I did.
- 1:52:58Speaker 9: And I was like, I was talking to Bill Moseley
- 1:53:00Speaker 9: and I was like, will you make it say to Michael?
- 1:53:02Speaker 4: And he's like, are you getting a sex change? I
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: was like, Yes. No, it's for someone else. No, first
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: you said yes.
- 1:53:08Speaker 6: Yes, I am.
- 1:53:10Speaker 5: Yes, I am.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I am. I'll come back and see you.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: After I do.
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: And then I said, no, it's for someone else. He
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: was like, yeah, right.
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: Bill Moseley's not right in that.
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: No, he's so funny.
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: He's awesome, but he's special.
- 1:53:23Speaker 9: He kept waving to us and saying hi to us
- 1:53:25Speaker 9: for the rest of the weekend, too, which made me
- 1:53:27Speaker 9: feel pretty special.
- 1:53:28Speaker 4: He's a lot of khaki. We wear, like, the same
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: outfit every day.
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: He's awesome. He's like Einstein. He has a whole closet
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: full of them. That way he doesn't think in the morning,
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: he just grabs one.
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: That's true. All right, before I interrupt, I'm sorry. What
- 1:53:40Speaker 4: were we talking about? Oh, the turkey with the face.
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: Well, no, even yesterday. Spoiler alert, I guess. But at
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: some point during that Frankenstein movie, what the fuck did
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: I call it?
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: Frankenstein Syndrome?
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: Syndrome... Prometheus Project is the real name. Yeah, and they
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: did that yesterday. They do that in that movie. I mean,
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: it really is like a cliche in horror movies at
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: this point that somebody has to get their face cut
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: off and then, of course, somebody's going to wear it
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: on their face. And so.
- 1:54:09Speaker 9: And it was just hilarious that this fucking turkey is wearing.
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: Turkey puppet. Turkey puppet. Is wearing a fake face.
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: And she's like, hi, daddy.
- 1:54:18Speaker 3: And the sheriff said. And she kneels down and gives
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: him a kiss. Different. Well, he got a haircut.
- 1:54:25Speaker 5: I mean.
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: And she notices his bad memory. Not his face.
- 1:54:30Speaker 5: Or the feathers or the.
- 1:54:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:54:32Speaker 4: Even your rapidly fading memory.
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: And I still have to call her out for not
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: knowing where her own fucking garage was.
- 1:54:37Speaker 4: Everybody knocks on their own door.
- 1:54:38Speaker 3: Yeah, what is that about?
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: I like that everyone lived in a trailer.
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: That was hilarious.
- 1:54:42Speaker 4: That was a nice touch.
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: It was older than the same double wise. They only
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: had one.
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: Just change the decoration.
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: Yeah, just put a different unicorn slash horse on the front.
- 1:54:52Speaker 4: A different, switch it out from a dolphin rug to
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: like maybe a.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: Rainbow rug.
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: It's what you need.
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: I still think one thing that gave me the chuckles
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: early on is when he gets thrown by the side
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: of the road by his buddy after the Jeep breaks down.
- 1:55:06Speaker 5: And he.
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: Crawfield, or what was the name of the town?
- 1:55:11Speaker 3: I don't remember.
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: And he picks up the sign and shows it to
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: you and reads it with his finger.
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: Yeah, runs his finger along the bottom.
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: Has to read it out loud to us that.
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: We are watching Thanksgiving. We might not be that smart.
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: Luckily, it was the nerd, so he was smart enough
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: to figure out the word.
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: Billy might not have been smart.
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: No, probably not.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: If you haven't heard the story, there's lots of books
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: There's lots of books. I don't know. Remember those books
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: I was telling you about? The ones that made out
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: of cardboard? Luckily, my dad has one in a box
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: in his garage.
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: What are the odds of that?
- 1:55:47Speaker 4: My dad has lots of books. I bet he has
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: one about turkeys.
- 1:55:50Speaker 3: About turkeys that are evil?
- 1:55:52Speaker 4: Evil turkeys, yes.
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: Oh, God. It's so retarded.
- 1:55:57Speaker 9: I mean, if this legend were so to exist, then
- 1:56:00Speaker 9: I bet, I'd almost guarantee that I'd have a book
- 1:56:02Speaker 9: about it.
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: No shit.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56:04Speaker 4: The turkey would live by the river in Jeffersonville. That
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: might be a werewolf. I saw your picture that you
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: put on Facebook. Was he taking a bath in the river? No,
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: it was just people on a boat. It wasn't really...
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: I couldn't tell what it was. Also, it was a
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: mysterious shape.
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: I'm like.
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: No, I was trying to explain the situation to my
- 1:56:24Speaker 9: friend Ben, and I was like, I'm just going to stop.
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: I sound crazy. He's like, so, do you think it
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: was a person? I was like, no, it was an animal.
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: He's like, so, was it like... I was like, I'm
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: just going to stop. I'm just going to stop. I
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: got really defensive about it.
- 1:56:38Speaker 7: I'm like.
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: Never mind.
- 1:56:40Speaker 4: It happened. I'm not crazy.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: I swear it did. I swear.
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: There was someone else with me. You can ask him.
- 1:56:47Speaker 9: He's not a very reliable witness either. I was about
- 1:56:51Speaker 9: to make him go investigate. I'm like, can you go check?
- 1:56:53Speaker 9: And then I was like, don't aim me.
- 1:56:57Speaker 3: But it wasn't a turkey?
- 1:56:59Speaker 9: It definitely was not a turkey. It was the size
- 1:57:01Speaker 9: of a bear. It was probably a bear.
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: Was it an evil bear? Was it wearing a person face?
- 1:57:07Speaker 3: I think, I think. I think you're going to have to...
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: Cowboy hat. I think you're going to have to consult
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: a turcologist. Yeah.
- 1:57:14Speaker 8: Turcologist.
- 1:57:14Speaker 3: Turcologist. Turcologist or whatever they are.
- 1:57:17Speaker 9: But just so everyone's clear, that picture on my Facebook
- 1:57:19Speaker 9: page was just people in a boat in the.
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: Middle of the river. I was just taking a picture.
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: It wasn't like the man-bear pig or anything.
- 1:57:28Speaker 16: Man-bear pig.
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: It wasn't the menace of the Ohio River or whatever.
- 1:57:31Speaker 5: Could have been a gummy bear.
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: Could have been a gummy bear. A really giant gummy bear.
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: Bouncing here and there.
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. There we go.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: What a great show.
- 1:57:41Speaker 8: I know.
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: Sidetracked, but that was an awesome show, by the way.
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: Great cartoons.
- 1:57:45Speaker 9: So, the other day at work, I burned myself, and
- 1:57:47Speaker 9: it looks like I branded myself with a J in
- 1:57:50Speaker 9: my hand.
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: Is that just because you think J's cool?
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:57:55Speaker 3: Does he own you now? I don't want you wandering off.
- 1:57:59Speaker 7: I don't want any kettle wrestlers getting on you.
- 1:58:03Speaker 9: It really does look like I burned a J into
- 1:58:06Speaker 9: my hand, though. I told Jessica that she has to
- 1:58:08Speaker 9: burn an N into her hand.
- 1:58:10Speaker 6: I burned myself once with cheese from O'Grotten. I was
- 1:58:14Speaker 6: making O'Grotten tater tots and I was stirring extremely vigorously
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: and it splashed up onto my arm and I had
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: a scar for like a year and a half and
- 1:58:23Speaker 6: it finally went away.
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: Oh, I'm traumatized. That's a tater scar.
- 1:58:28Speaker 6: Oh, gratin cheese. Everybody gets around, oh, yeah, I got
- 1:58:31Speaker 6: this scar. I'm doing this, and I got this scar
- 1:58:34Speaker 6: doing this.
- 1:58:34Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, yeah? Fucking A right here.
- 1:58:37Speaker 3: Cheese. Beat that, bitches. Nice. Well, that was a Marlena
- 1:58:43Speaker 3: moment followed by a Misty moment.
- 1:58:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Mine was almost as retarded.
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: Hey, hey, hey.
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: I can't help it. It's everyone else who makes these
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: moments in my life retarded.
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: Since they used that line in the movie where... I
- 1:58:59Speaker 3: use it constantly anyway. Again, I think that one you've
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: got a little more leeway with because to me, I
- 1:59:04Speaker 3: use it in the actual sense of the word that
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: actually before the medical version took over and now it's
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: not PC to say that.
- 1:59:12Speaker 9: Well, see, look, here's why I think it's okay. If
- 1:59:16Speaker 9: I see a mentally handicapped person, I don't call them retards.
- 1:59:20Speaker 9: I call them mentally handicapped people or autistic or whatever.
- 1:59:23Speaker 9: I don't run around calling actually retards. Actual people with
- 1:59:26Speaker 9: mental disabilities, retards.
- 1:59:27Speaker 3: I have never.
- 1:59:28Speaker 11: That's where me and you are different.
- 1:59:33Speaker 4: I'm joking.
- 1:59:35Speaker 9: Only stupid people who don't have an actual medical reason.
- 1:59:39Speaker 3: That's been my reasoning for the entire time I've been
- 1:59:42Speaker 3: using it. I wasn't saying we were all going, we
- 1:59:44Speaker 3: all hate retards.
- 1:59:46Speaker 5: I mean the real retards.
- 1:59:47Speaker 3: Nobody really feels that way. That's the thing.
- 1:59:50Speaker 4: Unless they're red-handed.
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: I've never used it in that sense, so I feel
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: like if I use it consistently in the other way,
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: obviously that's what I mean every time.
- 2:00:01Speaker 9: I think the last photo album I uploaded on Facebook
- 2:00:06Speaker 9: is called Slight Mental Retardation.
- 2:00:09Speaker 3: And what was going on in this photo?
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: What did you expect to be going on in that photo? Exactly.
- 2:00:14Speaker 5: Normal Marlena thing.
- 2:00:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:00:17Speaker 9: Jessica and I are posing with funny glasses and mustaches
- 2:00:22Speaker 9: that are actually little noisemaker blowout things.
- 2:00:25Speaker 4: Good times. So a regular day for you all.
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 2:00:27Speaker 4: It was a regular Sunday.
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: See, and how can you argue that that doesn't fit
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: the bill?
- 2:00:31Speaker 6: Really.
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: Exactly. I'm still going to get hate mail for saying
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: redheads are retards.
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: I don't really think that's what you meant. I thought
- 2:00:38Speaker 3: you said redheads hate retards.
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: No.
- 2:00:41Speaker 5: Is that what it is?
- 2:00:41Speaker 4: Oh, okay. That's not what I said at all.
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: I thought it was only redheaded retards you were having
- 2:00:46Speaker 3: a problem with. This is confusing already. It's like the
- 2:00:51Speaker 3: JonBenet Ramsey case.
- 2:00:53Speaker 4: We have a problem with the regular reason.
- 2:00:54Speaker 3: Yeah, this is harder to crack than the JonBenet Ramsey case.
- 2:00:59Speaker 3: We better call in O.J.
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: My mouth is harder to close. The O.J. Simpson case.
- 2:01:04Speaker 3: And then JonBenet Ramsey's legs. This is wrong.
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: You're going to get hate mail with me. That's what
- 2:01:10Speaker 4: we do.
- 2:01:18Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. It's hard for you guys to understand.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: Maybe one day you'll feel what I feel. You lose, like,
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: a mom or a dad or a best friend or whatever.
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: That was one of the last ones that I was like, okay,
- 2:01:32Speaker 3: that was fucking funny. He was like, yeah, it was
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: pretty hard when I lost my dog. Maybe one day
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: you'll understand and feel what I feel. It's like as
- 2:01:40Speaker 3: you're talking to a group of people who have lost
- 2:01:42Speaker 3: every other person in the cast. It's like that part
- 2:01:45Speaker 3: was awesome.
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: I just love how they're making out on the floor
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: right after her dad just gets killed.
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like five minutes tops. They're sitting in the
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: next room.
- 2:01:55Speaker 4: I'm so glad all this happened. Otherwise we would have
- 2:01:59Speaker 4: been brought together.
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: I like how the guy on.
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: The couch was like, I'm going to go pee, yes.
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: I'm going to go pee right now. Sure, I lost
- 2:02:07Speaker 3: my mom and dad, but I gained a girlfriend.
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: That's all that really matters.
- 2:02:13Speaker 3: Oh, except it's that.
- 2:02:14Speaker 4: That guy's probably still got parents. Now they don't have
- 2:02:17Speaker 4: a kid, but.
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: The nerdy kid.
- 2:02:20Speaker 4: His parents didn't get killed.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: He's not a nerd after Billy dies because he doesn't
- 2:02:23Speaker 3: need his glasses anymore.
- 2:02:24Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that made him cool.
- 2:02:25Speaker 3: What the hell was up with that? After he turned
- 2:02:28Speaker 3: into a man then. I don't need glasses when I'm
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: a man.
- 2:02:32Speaker 4: Mendo need glasses.
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: Yeah, Mendo need glasses.
- 2:02:34Speaker 4: Are we getting to the.
- 2:02:38Speaker 6: End part where it's all crazy and radioactive?
- 2:02:43Speaker 3: Well, that just leads me to my other thing. And
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: once again, I just like to argue with the movies
- 2:02:47Speaker 3: when they're wrong on very basic levels. Not the giant
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: plot holes and whatnot. I think just when the guy
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: shoots him and then he goes, he's in that dumpster
- 2:02:55Speaker 3: over there. I'm like, that's a trash can, not a
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: dumpster jackass.
- 2:02:58Speaker 4: Oscar the Hermit, what do you want?
- 2:03:01Speaker 3: I was just like, that's a trash can. That's a
- 2:03:03Speaker 3: very different thing than a dumpster.
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: My aunt and uncle have some of those big trash
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: cans like that, and they.
- 2:03:09Speaker 5: Refer to it as the dumpster.
- 2:03:10Speaker 4: It's not a dumpster.
- 2:03:13Speaker 5: Maybe that's just a local i like the.
- 2:03:14Speaker 4: Word dumpster i like i like no i mean i
- 2:03:18Speaker 4: just like.
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: Dumpster dumpster bunny i mean he should rent dumpster under
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: your left hand now.
- 2:03:28Speaker 9: Dumpster no i just i just like i just like
- 2:03:31Speaker 9: to take a word that doesn't normally like end with
- 2:03:34Speaker 9: a stir and like You know, like Pupster, Creepster.
- 2:03:38Speaker 4: But Dumpster actually does have a name. It's made that way.
- 2:03:42Speaker 5: Dumpsterster.
- 2:03:43Speaker 4: That's why I like it.
- 2:03:46Speaker 5: She doesn't have to customize it.
- 2:03:47Speaker 3: It's already done. Wow.
- 2:03:51Speaker 4: I like that the guy actually said Creepster in this movie.
- 2:03:53Speaker 4: I was like, I love the word Creepster.
- 2:03:56Speaker 3: Again, I don't think people can call us out for
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: using the term retard. Once again, I think we're covered.
- 2:04:02Speaker 3: I think we are covered.
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 2:04:08Speaker 3: Jiminy Christmas. What else do we need to wrap this movie?
- 2:04:11Speaker 3: How do we want to encapsulize this?
- 2:04:14Speaker 4: So we're not talking about the radioactive turkey?
- 2:04:15Speaker 3: Go for it.
- 2:04:16Speaker 4: It's fucking radioactive.
- 2:04:18Speaker 5: It's done.
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: We'll be dumped in the end.
- 2:04:23Speaker 4: Let's pull a fucking radioactive turkey.
- 2:04:25Speaker 6: How?
- 2:04:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:04:26Speaker 4: I think I said it. What are the chances of
- 2:04:28Speaker 4: that happening? I like how they call that out. What
- 2:04:30Speaker 4: are the chances of the turkey baby?
- 2:04:32Speaker 3: Pretty good, actually.
- 2:04:33Speaker 7: I think it's funny that anything that's radioactive is glowing green.
- 2:04:38Speaker 6: It is.
- 2:04:38Speaker 5: It's not blue.
- 2:04:39Speaker 3: It's not red. Thanks to the Ninja Turtles for that one.
- 2:04:43Speaker 3: They've shown us what radioactive ooze looks like.
- 2:04:45Speaker 4: So are we talking about the sequel?
- 2:04:47Speaker 3: Oh, in space.
- 2:04:49Speaker 4: That's how you got to have your seat. Is there
- 2:04:51Speaker 4: really one in the works?
- 2:04:52Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 2:04:52Speaker 4: I fucking hope so.
- 2:04:54Speaker 3: There is. I mean, when you Google up your Thanksgiving,
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: it automatically brings up Thanksgiving 2. So if it's not
- 2:05:01Speaker 3: actually in the works, there's enough people out there on
- 2:05:03Speaker 3: the interwebs yammering on about it that it's probably going
- 2:05:05Speaker 3: to have to be made now. So we'll see. At
- 2:05:08Speaker 3: least then we'll have something to watch, you know, the
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: next Thanksgiving.
- 2:05:11Speaker 4: Hopefully it's in 3D.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: In space.
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: In 3D.
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: I'd like to say I really was impressed with the puppetry.
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: I mean, not that they were fantastic puppeteers, but the
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: head and the beak. I thought it was a pretty
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: good job. You usually couldn't see their hands.
- 2:05:30Speaker 3: You usually couldn't see the guy in the background.
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: No, it's funny. You know it's fake, but you buy it.
- 2:05:37Speaker 3: I think it's just got a lot of character. It's
- 2:05:40Speaker 3: not that it looks real, and they weren't going for real,
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: I'm assuming, but... it really is a likable little goofy
- 2:05:46Speaker 3: image so it's even funnier when you add this horrible
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: voice saying these horrible horrible things and the worst one
- 2:05:53Speaker 3: liners ever nice tits you.
- 2:05:56Speaker 9: Just got stuffed I know he was a he was
- 2:05:59Speaker 9: a hilarious.
- 2:06:00Speaker 3: Turkey he thought he was nice tits baby.
- 2:06:03Speaker 4: So gobble gobble motherfucker he used.
- 2:06:05Speaker 5: To go hang out with triumph the insult yeah he.
- 2:06:08Speaker 4: Ended up I would rather hang out with a turkey
- 2:06:11Speaker 4: no I.
- 2:06:11Speaker 5: Said they should Should hang out together.
- 2:06:14Speaker 3: I mean, it is kind of that same style.
- 2:06:15Speaker 4: Maybe some of the puppet film wonder shows isn't that.
- 2:06:17Speaker 3: It's that same sort of delivery to it. Yeah, it is.
- 2:06:20Speaker 3: And the puppet kind of looks along the same. But again,
- 2:06:22Speaker 3: Triumph's a fun-looking puppet, too. So this sort of plays
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: with that, you know, the cheesy, fun-looking puppets that we
- 2:06:29Speaker 3: grew up as kids, and it made it a horrible, cursing,
- 2:06:32Speaker 3: murdering bird. So, I don't know. Maybe that's why we
- 2:06:35Speaker 3: take to the puppet for some reason.
- 2:06:38Speaker 4: It's got foul languages.
- 2:06:41Speaker 2: Alright, that's it.
- 2:06:42Speaker 3: We're done.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: We're done now.
- 2:06:44Speaker 4: Like you all didn't see that coming. I didn't. I
- 2:06:53Speaker 4: didn't know it was coming until it came out. It
- 2:06:56Speaker 4: took me a second too to get it. Just because
- 2:07:00Speaker 4: I wasn't really paying that much attention. Boyfriend with that
- 2:07:04Speaker 4: normal look of shame.
- 2:07:07Speaker 3: It's pride and shame, to be exact.
- 2:07:10Speaker 4: Pride and shame.
- 2:07:11Speaker 3: I can't believe how awesome that joke was, and I'm
- 2:07:13Speaker 3: so ashamed of being attached to her. They didn't even
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: use that in the movie. Well, he used a foul joke.
- 2:07:21Speaker 3: I don't know that it was foul language.
- 2:07:23Speaker 4: I like that she's like, let's kill this cock. I mean,
- 2:07:27Speaker 4: he's like, no, it's a turkey. She goes, I know.
- 2:07:29Speaker 4: I mean, like, he's a dick.
- 2:07:32Speaker 3: Thank you for clarifying. In the middle of our movie.
- 2:07:36Speaker 4: I like that it did clarify itself.
- 2:07:37Speaker 6: Just in case you didn't catch it.
- 2:07:40Speaker 3: Let me spell this out for you.
- 2:07:42Speaker 6: And sometimes that would probably irritate the piss out of me.
- 2:07:45Speaker 6: But this one, I'm like, that's not funny.
- 2:07:48Speaker 4: It was amazing.
- 2:07:51Speaker 6: Maybe it was all the crack in the turkey.
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: There was a layer of crack inside of turkey.
- 2:07:56Speaker 3: That seems about right.
- 2:07:57Speaker 6: It was a little bit more enjoyable than I remember
- 2:08:00Speaker 6: last year. There was no turkey cake last year.
- 2:08:02Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 2:08:05Speaker 6: Why?
- 2:08:07Speaker 17: No more pumpkin pie.
- 2:08:10Speaker 3: No more cranberry sauce.
- 2:08:13Speaker 17: Just turkey.
- 2:08:15Speaker 3: Fucking turkey. Turkey.
- 2:08:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch!
- 2:08:21Speaker 3: He is fucking dead!
- 2:08:24Speaker 6: I would dare to say that it could be enjoyed
- 2:08:26Speaker 6: even without turkey crack cake.
- 2:08:30Speaker 3: So, anything else to wrap this movie up?
- 2:08:33Speaker 4: I'm sure I'll think of something later when I'm at home.
- 2:08:35Speaker 3: What?
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: I like the Oscar the Grouch trash can with the teepee,
- 2:08:41Speaker 2: that it's much bigger on the inside than it is
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: on the outside.
- 2:08:45Speaker 4: And the shoddily constructed teepee.
- 2:08:47Speaker 2: There's like a bed sheet and three sticks on the outside.
- 2:08:50Speaker 3: And it's about 12 inches around when they're standing outside
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: of it, but somehow everybody, there's like 16 pieces of
- 2:08:57Speaker 3: furniture and like three people standing there and the turkey.
- 2:09:01Speaker 3: And a back door.
- 2:09:02Speaker 4: And a back door.
- 2:09:02Speaker 5: And they kind of just run over the TP.
- 2:09:04Speaker 3: They're like, how are we going to kill him?
- 2:09:07Speaker 4: They had to kill him in a special way.
- 2:09:08Speaker 3: A special way. Or he'll come back.
- 2:09:10Speaker 6: Even if they knew they had to kill him in
- 2:09:11Speaker 6: a special way, they still failed at it.
- 2:09:14Speaker 3: They're not so good.
- 2:09:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a great movie.
- 2:09:17Speaker 5: Well, I don't know about great.
- 2:09:18Speaker 3: It was a fun movie. Great's pushing it. It's definitely fun.
- 2:09:23Speaker 3: It's entertaining in a retarded way, to use our word
- 2:09:26Speaker 3: of the day.
- 2:09:27Speaker 9: So.
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: Okay, everybody listening, anytime you hear the word retarded today, scream.
- 2:09:33Speaker 10: It out loud.
- 2:09:35Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 2:09:37Speaker 10: Okay.
- 2:09:37Speaker 4: I can't play that warning at the beginning of the show.
- 2:09:39Speaker 6: I'll just be yelling the whole time.
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: It'll work. You know, it depends on the person. Maybe
- 2:09:47Speaker 3: they'll run into that word a lot today.
- 2:09:48Speaker 4: I love this shirt.
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: Anything else we need on the movie?
- 2:09:54Speaker 4: I love my shirt, too.
- 2:09:57Speaker 3: And Dr.
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: Corbeau.
- 2:09:58Speaker 3: I love my shirt.
- 2:09:59Speaker 4: I just look at my shirt. And we're wondering, we're like,
- 2:10:03Speaker 4: in the middle of the summer, she wears a sweater.
- 2:10:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:10:07Speaker 5: That's what I said when you got out of the car.
- 2:10:08Speaker 7: I was like, you know, it could be 100 degrees
- 2:10:10Speaker 7: outside with a 99% humidity rating, and Marlena's wearing a
- 2:10:14Speaker 7: fucking sweater.
- 2:10:15Speaker 5: It's chilly outside, and she's wearing a fucking short-sleeve shirt.
- 2:10:19Speaker 3: It's pushing December, and she's got a short-sleeve shirt. Hey,
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: it might be.
- 2:10:23Speaker 4: Pushing December, but it's damn 70-something degrees outside. But it
- 2:10:26Speaker 4: was 100 at Petersville. You were wearing a sweater. Yeah,
- 2:10:29Speaker 4: I know, but that's because you could see my bra
- 2:10:30Speaker 4: through my shirt. Did you see the other girls there?
- 2:10:32Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:10:33Speaker 3: They didn't even wear shirts.
- 2:10:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:10:35Speaker 7: I remember a year before seeing a whole lot of
- 2:10:40Speaker 7: some girl.
- 2:10:41Speaker 4: The entire undercarriage.
- 2:10:42Speaker 3: The one all riled up on the hood.
- 2:10:44Speaker 5: Of the car.
- 2:10:45Speaker 4: Oh, the giant?
- 2:10:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:10:46Speaker 9: She's fucking crazy. I've actually met her and hung out
- 2:10:49Speaker 9: with her before.
- 2:10:50Speaker 4: She is batshit crazy.
- 2:10:52Speaker 3: Really? Oh, my God.
- 2:10:53Speaker 4: Like, more than anyone I've ever met in my life.
- 2:10:55Speaker 10: Crazy.
- 2:10:56Speaker 4: You've met some crazies.
- 2:10:57Speaker 3: She's got a beanstalk next to her house.
- 2:10:58Speaker 4: Probably, yeah. I think she does. That'd be awesome. You
- 2:11:06Speaker 4: should go steal it.
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: Do we have anything else for the movie?
- 2:11:14Speaker 4: No, nothing.
- 2:11:17Speaker 5: Close the book on this.
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:11:19Speaker 4: The shoddily constructed book of cardboard.
- 2:11:22Speaker 9: Let's close this case like Jabba Day Ramsey would.
- 2:11:26Speaker 3: Oh, I don't think that ever happened.
- 2:11:29Speaker 4: They're still open?
- 2:11:30Speaker 3: They're still open.
- 2:11:34Speaker 4: This wrap-up is harder to close than the JonBenet Ramsey case.
- 2:11:39Speaker 10: What? What?
- 2:11:41Speaker 3: That was a good one.
- 2:11:46Speaker 6: Bam.
- 2:11:46Speaker 4: Oh, God. Someone take this microphone away from me. Turn
- 2:11:51Speaker 4: it off.
- 2:11:51Speaker 10: Turn it off.
- 2:11:54Speaker 3: The end. Let's round out the show.
- 2:11:57Speaker 6: We've been hackling like jackals the whole time.
- 2:12:02Speaker 4: Laughing like hyenas.
- 2:12:03Speaker 9: Oh, my boss and his wife.
- 2:12:09Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry.
- 2:12:11Speaker 9: Their six-year-old daughter, she got this little panda toy that laughs.
- 2:12:15Speaker 9: And they said when it laughs, it sounds just like me.
- 2:12:18Speaker 4: Oh, God. Nobody has anything to say about that.
- 2:12:24Speaker 3: No.
- 2:12:24Speaker 4: I thought it was funny. It's hilarious.
- 2:12:28Speaker 6: Did you go find them at, like, a store and
- 2:12:30Speaker 6: push all their buttons and make them all laugh at
- 2:12:31Speaker 6: the same time just so you could see what you hear, like?
- 2:12:34Speaker 4: They keep forgetting to bring it. They're going to bring
- 2:12:36Speaker 4: it for me so I can hear it.
- 2:12:37Speaker 9: And then I'll be like.
- 2:12:39Speaker 4: No, that's not how it sounded. No one, people like, okay. No,
- 2:12:46Speaker 4: you didn't start it now. Don't leave us hanging.
- 2:12:49Speaker 9: No one's ever happy when they're told that they look
- 2:12:51Speaker 9: like someone else or sound like something.
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: Which is why I never mention that to anyone.
- 2:12:55Speaker 4: That's why I never listen to this show. I don't
- 2:12:56Speaker 4: want to hear what I sound like.
- 2:12:58Speaker 5: I used to get kids in high school telling me
- 2:12:59Speaker 5: I sounded like Howard the Duck.
- 2:13:02Speaker 3: That's not what you want to hear.
- 2:13:03Speaker 5: To the point where they were calling me Howard at school.
- 2:13:06Speaker 3: They were like, Howard!
- 2:13:07Speaker 5: And I was like, what the fuck?
- 2:13:08Speaker 6: I'm still getting told that I look like Lisa Kudrow.
- 2:13:11Speaker 3: Again, there's worse things than that.
- 2:13:13Speaker 6: I can understand if it was once or twice, but
- 2:13:15Speaker 6: it's been several times.
- 2:13:17Speaker 4: Well, I got told I look like the damn girl
- 2:13:18Speaker 4: from American Pickers.
- 2:13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but nobody knows who she is, so that makes
- 2:13:22Speaker 3: it okay.
- 2:13:23Speaker 9: You know, really, I had to start watching that show
- 2:13:25Speaker 9: to make sure I didn't have a secret TV crew
- 2:13:28Speaker 9: following me around.
- 2:13:29Speaker 3: Maybe I am that girl.
- 2:13:31Speaker 4: That's what I was like, what? What if I am
- 2:13:33Speaker 4: that girl? What have I bought lately? I need some.
- 2:13:37Speaker 2: Royalties, damn.
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: It! My secret TV life.
- 2:13:41Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:13:41Speaker 4: I mean, Truman Show.
- 2:13:44Speaker 3: You never know.
- 2:13:45Speaker 5: I don't get that. I don't look like anybody.
- 2:13:47Speaker 3: Are you Mexican?
- 2:13:49Speaker 4: Like John Cryer when you were younger.
- 2:13:52Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 2:13:53Speaker 3: High school.
- 2:13:53Speaker 5: I forgot about that. I look like John Cryer.
- 2:13:56Speaker 4: Or that one skateboarder. Or that one guy in that one.
- 2:13:59Speaker 5: Mario Rubicava.
- 2:14:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:14:00Speaker 4: And that one guy in that Hot Rodman book.
- 2:14:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:14:03Speaker 4: That's just the back of your head.
- 2:14:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:14:06Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: The back of your head looks familiar.
- 2:14:10Speaker 9: The scene in Death Proof or Grindhouse, whichever one, where
- 2:14:12Speaker 9: the guy was on the little motorcycle.
- 2:14:14Speaker 5: Huh?
- 2:14:16Speaker 4: I think he was like.
- 2:14:17Speaker 9: It was either Death Proof or what's his name?
- 2:14:19Speaker 3: Oh, are you talking about.
- 2:14:20Speaker 4: Planet Terror.
- 2:14:20Speaker 3: Planet Terror.
- 2:14:22Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 2:14:22Speaker 3: It's the other... It's the Rodriguez brother.
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Rodriguez.
- 2:14:25Speaker 4: Yeah, when he was riding the little motorcycle. The one
- 2:14:28Speaker 4: who's on Ugly Betty? Who's the Ugly Betty? The Rodriguez brother.
- 2:14:33Speaker 4: We were talking about him the other day.
- 2:14:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that's him. What about it?
- 2:14:37Speaker 4: Is that the same guy you're talking about?
- 2:14:39Speaker 5: That's the same guy she's talking about.
- 2:14:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: He was six feet under.
- 2:14:42Speaker 9: Yeah, just when he's, like, riding a motorcycle, you do,
- 2:14:45Speaker 9: because he's riding a motorcycle.
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: And you always ride tiny, tiny little motorcycles.
- 2:14:51Speaker 4: Every guy who rides a motorcycle looks like him.
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 2:14:57Speaker 4: Where did this show go?
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: I'm assuming we're not even having a show at this point.
- 2:15:01Speaker 5: In the movie?
- 2:15:02Speaker 3: We're just goofy around.
- 2:15:04Speaker 5: That's right.
- 2:15:06Speaker 3: Anything else? Are we done?
- 2:15:08Speaker 4: We're done.
- 2:15:08Speaker 3: All right, we're wrapping up this movie. Gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 2:15:11Speaker 3: We're moving on. Gobble, gobble, motherfucker. Okay, kids, get out
- 2:15:14Speaker 3: your decoder pins. Gobble, gobble. It's time for the Movie
- 2:15:24Speaker 3: Meltdown Secret Circle reveal of the next awesome feature, including
- 2:15:29Speaker 3: a fabulous guest star. Because next week, we will be
- 2:15:33Speaker 3: bringing you the other portion of what I was doing
- 2:15:35Speaker 3: yesterday that I was alluding to earlier. Next week, we
- 2:15:40Speaker 3: will be having a special guest, a co-hosted sofa theater segment.
- 2:15:44Speaker 3: We'll be discussing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original awesome film.
- 2:15:49Speaker 4: Nobody's going to try to break in, are they?
- 2:15:51Speaker 3: Are you going to go into that whole story?
- 2:15:52Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 2:15:53Speaker 3: I don't think we've discussed it on here. You go
- 2:15:57Speaker 3: for it.
- 2:15:57Speaker 4: You're a better storyteller.
- 2:15:59Speaker 6: Oh my god, we were sitting down to watch Texas
- 2:16:00Speaker 6: Chainsaw Massacre, and it was in this apartment, and we were.
- 2:16:03Speaker 4: Just getting ready to sing, and we were sitting down,
- 2:16:05Speaker 4: and it was just getting started.
- 2:16:06Speaker 6: And next thing I know, somebody tried to break in
- 2:16:08Speaker 6: the kitchen, and I was surprised that door held up,
- 2:16:10Speaker 6: because that door looked like it was held together by
- 2:16:11Speaker 6: two toothpicks, it looked like this rickety-ass door, and this
- 2:16:14Speaker 6: big-ass guy was outside of it trying to break in,
- 2:16:16Speaker 6: and I thought we were going to die.
- 2:16:19Speaker 3: I wouldn't watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre after that. Yeah, see,
- 2:16:22Speaker 3: I rewatched it this week and I was really kind
- 2:16:24Speaker 3: of waiting for something horrendous to happen because that was
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: the last time I watched it was like years ago.
- 2:16:30Speaker 4: I watched it at the drive-ins.
- 2:16:32Speaker 3: At that point, yeah, it was like 20 seconds in.
- 2:16:36Speaker 3: I mean, John might still be reading the little text
- 2:16:39Speaker 3: to you. I mean, it had really not even started.
- 2:16:42Speaker 3: and there's some huge bearded guy in a leather jacket
- 2:16:46Speaker 3: beating himself against the door.
- 2:16:48Speaker 4: Why was he doing that?
- 2:16:49Speaker 5: No idea.
- 2:16:51Speaker 3: I'm assuming.
- 2:16:51Speaker 4: He gave up after a while, sat on the stairs,
- 2:16:53Speaker 4: then he left.
- 2:16:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm assuming he was drunk, really. I don't know,
- 2:16:57Speaker 3: but it was an odd way to start a movie,
- 2:16:59Speaker 3: and it sort of branded that movie, much like Your Hand,
- 2:17:03Speaker 3: for the entire time.
- 2:17:04Speaker 2: I don't know that.
- 2:17:06Speaker 3: It was hard for me to look at it and
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: not wait for that. After a while, I got over
- 2:17:09Speaker 3: it and I just started watching the movie. But I
- 2:17:11Speaker 3: kept waiting for something horrendous to happen in that first
- 2:17:14Speaker 3: couple of minutes. Any minute somebody's going.
- 2:17:16Speaker 5: To do that shit around our house and get shot.
- 2:17:18Speaker 4: Hells yeah, bitches.
- 2:17:19Speaker 3: I was just going to stab him in the throat.
- 2:17:22Speaker 3: I mean, it was the kitchen door. There was a
- 2:17:24Speaker 3: knife right there. I was like, as soon as that
- 2:17:25Speaker 3: door opens, motherfucker's getting knifed. So luckily, that toothpick held
- 2:17:31Speaker 3: because he stayed on the other side of the door. So, yeah,
- 2:17:35Speaker 3: that was because I asked our special guest what their
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: initial viewing of it was, which I assumed and even
- 2:17:42Speaker 3: said it was probably very different than mine. Yeah, that
- 2:17:44Speaker 3: was mine. That was the first time I actually sat
- 2:17:46Speaker 3: down and watched that movie in its entirety. I had
- 2:17:48Speaker 3: some huge hope weirdo trying to break into the house
- 2:17:51Speaker 3: so that was a very different take on that movie
- 2:17:54Speaker 3: than probably most people so.
- 2:17:55Speaker 4: I just watched it at the drive-ins last night.
- 2:17:59Speaker 3: But did anyone try to kill.
- 2:18:00Speaker 4: You no but she stole your mask funnel cake.
- 2:18:02Speaker 3: Ah, that's equally as horrifying as losing your funnel cake.
- 2:18:07Speaker 4: Yeah, it is equally as terrifying.
- 2:18:11Speaker 3: So, yes, next week will be Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and
- 2:18:15Speaker 3: we will be co-hosted by the man himself, Mr. Joe
- 2:18:19Speaker 3: Bob Briggs. It was pretty damn awesome.
- 2:18:22Speaker 6: Yeah, yesterday we were at the flame market, and I'm like, yeah,
- 2:18:23Speaker 6: that one guy was there, and we couldn't figure.
- 2:18:25Speaker 3: Out what the.
- 2:18:25Speaker 5: Billy Bob Briggs.
- 2:18:26Speaker 3: Billy Bob Bob Briggs.
- 2:18:27Speaker 4: Bobby Joe Bob Briggs.
- 2:18:30Speaker 3: Billy John. That is not his name at all.
- 2:18:32Speaker 6: He was Billy Bob Thornton first.
- 2:18:37Speaker 3: I would much rather hang out with Joe Bob than
- 2:18:39Speaker 3: Billy Bob Thornton.
- 2:18:41Speaker 2: Joe Bob is awesome.
- 2:18:44Speaker 3: If he played the whole episode like the Sling Blade character,
- 2:18:48Speaker 3: I would be ready to strangle him in about 30 seconds.
- 2:18:51Speaker 2: I never saw that.
- 2:18:52Speaker 3: Me neither. You would probably have a problem with it.
- 2:18:56Speaker 5: It makes it... That movie makes the.
- 2:18:59Speaker 2: Lead character in Legion even more annoying. That's the little
- 2:19:04Speaker 2: kid from Sling Blade.
- 2:19:05Speaker 3: Oh, I forgot that.
- 2:19:06Speaker 5: He plays it the same way.
- 2:19:08Speaker 3: Kind of.
- 2:19:10Speaker 2: He just plays it like I'm... Stupid from the South
- 2:19:14Speaker 2: is how he plays it.
- 2:19:16Speaker 3: I assumed that he was mentally challenged.
- 2:19:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm so glad I didn't watch that movie, and
- 2:19:20Speaker 4: even after I recommended it, everybody else will see it.
- 2:19:23Speaker 3: I'm like, we should.
- 2:19:24Speaker 4: Do this movie, we should do this movie, and then, like, Legion.
- 2:19:27Speaker 3: You bailed on it, and I had to watch that crap.
- 2:19:30Speaker 4: You got a free pass or something.
- 2:19:31Speaker 3: I still have to watch it. I didn't say I
- 2:19:33Speaker 3: had to pay for it. I had to watch it.
- 2:19:34Speaker 5: I'm getting into those apart.
- 2:19:35Speaker 4: I never.
- 2:19:37Speaker 5: Oh, is it that stupid one about the angel?
- 2:19:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:19:40Speaker 9: It really freaked Jessica out because she was pregnant at
- 2:19:43Speaker 9: the time and she was always like really sensitive.
- 2:19:45Speaker 4: She had double babies.
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: No, she had the chosen one. Yeah. Double baby. So
- 2:19:50Speaker 3: she felt like she was ripped off from Terminator 2.
- 2:19:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:19:53Speaker 5: That's what I felt.
- 2:19:54Speaker 3: It really was like the supernatural Terminator. It's like angels
- 2:19:59Speaker 3: instead of time-traveling cyborgs.
- 2:20:01Speaker 2: And the angels discussing at the end, I didn't give
- 2:20:04Speaker 2: God what he wanted. I gave him what he needed.
- 2:20:07Speaker 3: I showed up, God.
- 2:20:10Speaker 4: I'm sure he'd love that. He doesn't even like when
- 2:20:12Speaker 4: you use his name wrong.
- 2:20:14Speaker 3: Okay. Way to go. I totally schooled you, God.
- 2:20:17Speaker 10: Totally.
- 2:20:18Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 2:20:18Speaker 3: Take that, God.
- 2:20:21Speaker 4: God, I'm so glad I didn't.
- 2:20:22Speaker 3: I'm going to find a loophole.
- 2:20:24Speaker 4: Sucks to be you.
- 2:20:25Speaker 5: What is this? Some kind of like a, you know.
- 2:20:27Speaker 6: Dogma?
- 2:20:28Speaker 5: Fucking dogma law or something.
- 2:20:30Speaker 3: Ah, dang.
- 2:20:31Speaker 5: They used the loophole again. God, I really got.
- 2:20:33Speaker 3: To fix that. He's got to tighten up these rules.
- 2:20:35Speaker 3: I mean, these angels are breaking them left and right.
- 2:20:38Speaker 5: They got a lawyer up there.
- 2:20:39Speaker 3: That's why. I think so.
- 2:20:40Speaker 4: There's something to say. There's no lawyers in heaven.
- 2:20:43Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 2:20:45Speaker 5: They found a loophole.
- 2:20:46Speaker 3: Lawyers, feel free to write great about that.
- 2:20:48Speaker 5: Lawyers found a loophole digging up there.
- 2:20:50Speaker 4: Add it to my list of hate comments.
- 2:20:53Speaker 9: Oh, I'm sure there's a huge lawyer fan base that
- 2:20:56Speaker 9: we have.
- 2:20:57Speaker 4: Just as many Cholos as there are lawyers.
- 2:21:01Speaker 3: What if it's a Cholo lawyer?
- 2:21:02Speaker 6: Retarded Cholo lawyer.
- 2:21:08Speaker 3: Actually, Cholo lawyer sounds like an awesome show on Fox.
- 2:21:12Speaker 3: This week on Cholo lawyer.
- 2:21:14Speaker 4: No, because it would just have George Lopez. No, I
- 2:21:16Speaker 4: didn't say TBS.
- 2:21:16Speaker 5: Fox. Fox.
- 2:21:21Speaker 4: Look at Mario Lopez.
- 2:21:22Speaker 3: There you go. They probably would, actually.
- 2:21:26Speaker 2: God help us all.
- 2:21:27Speaker 5: He would stoop that low.
- 2:21:29Speaker 3: I mean, what's a stupid entertainment show? Jesus, it's horrible.
- 2:21:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it's from the straights of Lopez the Z.
- 2:21:36Speaker 3: It must be from the straights. Oh, God. Alright, so yes.
- 2:21:43Speaker 3: Next week, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Joe Bob Briggs. It's
- 2:21:46Speaker 3: going to be awesome.
- 2:21:48Speaker 4: And then the third episode is going to be here.
- 2:21:49Speaker 6: Yay!
- 2:21:50Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 2:21:51Speaker 3: You people.
- 2:21:52Speaker 5: You people.
- 2:21:53Speaker 4: What do you mean by you people?
- 2:21:54Speaker 3: I mean you people.
- 2:21:57Speaker 4: What's that supposed to mean?
- 2:21:58Speaker 3: I mean you people are retarded.
- 2:22:01Speaker 4: Oh, that's it. Hate mail.
- 2:22:03Speaker 3: So, to round it out here, we will finish up
- 2:22:09Speaker 3: with a song called Thanksgiving, which was a fan-based song
- 2:22:14Speaker 3: that they came up with from a band. They had
- 2:22:16Speaker 3: a band? They have many fans, obviously.
- 2:22:18Speaker 4: I love the movie. I ain't talking shit.
- 2:22:20Speaker 3: So, yeah, the band came up with this song. The
- 2:22:23Speaker 3: band is called The Lurking Terror.
- 2:22:24Speaker 4: That's an awesome name for a band.
- 2:22:27Speaker 3: And it's, yeah, it's all about this very movie. So
- 2:22:30Speaker 3: it is pretty damned entertaining. And in our usual PC manner,
- 2:22:34Speaker 3: we feature a closing song that has a chorus that repeats,
- 2:22:37Speaker 3: You kids are fucking retarded.
- 2:22:39Speaker 2: Nice.
- 2:22:40Speaker 3: I thought it seemed fitting for us and.
- 2:22:41Speaker 2: For the movie.
- 2:22:43Speaker 3: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week.
- 2:22:45Speaker 3: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening. Thanks. Gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 2:22:49Speaker 5: Gobble, gobble, motherfucker.
- 2:22:51Speaker 3: Did we talk about the movie longer than it was?
- 2:22:54Speaker 3: I think so. Well, you know, you got some nice tits, bitch.
- 2:26:00Speaker 7: At least her legs were harder to close than JonBenet
- 2:26:04Speaker 7: Ramsey's legs.
