- 0:58Speaker 6: the chef you Silvana just got my if the text
- 1:00Speaker 6: is part from my Canadian wife, Let's see here, presented
- 1:05Speaker 6: by our good friends at Chevy. Playoff season reminds us
- 1:08Speaker 6: that every weekend count student also so sad playoffs are over,

- 1:15Speaker 6: your more into your weekend. Chevy is packed more into
- 1:17Speaker 6: the silver Water Trail Boss. More capability, more muscle, more smarts.
- 1:22Speaker 6: I thought they were describing me. For a second, pause
- 1:26Speaker 6: for laughter, pause for laughter. All right, we're talking about
- 1:30Speaker 6: the Chevy Silverwater Trail Boss. The truck that says no
- 1:33Speaker 6: to nothing, tailgates, road chips, dy projects like transforming an
- 1:37Speaker 6: old bus into recording studio. Maybe bring it on. Will
- 1:41Speaker 6: Compton himself, he always says in his Chevy Silver rodo
- 1:43Speaker 6: What's he said to himself? He says, bring it on.
- 1:45Speaker 6: That's what he says. That's because the Silverwater Trailer Boss
- 1:48Speaker 6: has everything you need for anything for the weekend calls for.

- 2:07Speaker 6: about the Silverwater of Trail Boss at Chevy dot com.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Cheval a together, Let's drive. Speaking of driving. Speaking of drive,
- 2:16Speaker 6: we're gonna get into So the boys have had a
- 2:19Speaker 6: hell of a season. Football season is behind us. It's
- 2:22Speaker 6: lightly in the rearview mirror of our Chevy Silverados. It
- 2:25Speaker 6: was a fantastic fall ended with a little bit of
- 2:28Speaker 6: a bump in the road with New Orleans. We went
- 2:29Speaker 6: over that two weeks ago or last week, my God
- 2:32Speaker 6: Will comes on the show, has himself a little breakdown
- 2:35Speaker 6: of the Super Bowl. I did not watch that. I
- 2:36Speaker 6: had my own opinions of it. Here's my short opinion.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I'll give it to you a real quick here's a
- 2:40Speaker 6: sparknot version. Philly off Eagles. Absolutely Hammer fucked them. Boys
- 2:44Speaker 6: from Kansas City. Tough to see, obviously, everyone saw me.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Absolutely their words, not mine, glazing. Patrick Mahomes that little thing.
- 2:53Speaker 6: I think he's a stud, he's the baby goat. I
- 2:55Speaker 6: think Travis Kelcey hopefully comes back for one year, gets
- 2:57Speaker 6: his what's right, because you never want to see a
- 2:58Speaker 6: guy go off on the wrong foot when's alread. He
- 3:00Speaker 6: won so many Super Bowls. But the Philadelphia Eagles absolutely
- 3:03Speaker 6: dominated the performance. They own the trenches inside and out,
- 3:05Speaker 6: not just on the offensive side of the ball, but
- 3:07Speaker 6: also on the defensive side of the ball. So congratulations
- 3:09Speaker 6: to them. Mitchell May put in a nice little big
- 3:11Speaker 6: bet for the Kansas City Chiefs. Guess what Mitch lost?
- 3:14Speaker 6: It lost all that money. I put a big bet
- 3:17Speaker 6: into Big Boy bet. Three p would love to see
- 3:19Speaker 6: all those things. Guess what got hammer fucked on that one?
- 3:23Speaker 6: One thing you can't get hammer fucked on is Burt Kreischer.
- 3:27Speaker 6: My god, three hundred and twenty five pound bench bress.
- 3:30Speaker 6: That's a pr for not only him, but maybe most
- 3:32Speaker 6: of the world. He did three twenty That was the bet,
- 3:34Speaker 6: and he said that was so nice, We're gonna do
- 3:35Speaker 6: it twice. We put five more pounds on it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Did that.
- 3:38Speaker 6: So that being said, he's having himself a Las Vegas
- 3:41Speaker 6: Show double down. It's March twenty first and twenty second
- 3:44Speaker 6: at Resorts World in Las Vegas. I will not be there,
- 3:47Speaker 6: but I wish I was because everybody knows how much
- 3:49Speaker 6: I love Las Vegas. And then we said that we're
- 3:52Speaker 6: going to talk about his tour. Oh, you can get
- 3:54Speaker 6: tickets at Bert Bert Berts dot com, So Burt times
- 4:00Speaker 6: three dot com. That's where you can get your tickets.
- 4:03Speaker 6: We did say that we were only going to promote
- 4:05Speaker 6: his tour. I see here, there's another dot on here
- 4:08Speaker 6: about his two Bears five K that's in May fourth
- 4:10Speaker 6: at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, and you can register
- 4:13Speaker 6: at two Bears five k dot com. Earlybird prices ends
- 4:16Speaker 6: March twenty eighth. Then know I was doing two promos
- 4:19Speaker 6: for burn sounds like his little team went in there
- 4:21Speaker 6: and stuck n under the rug on us a little bit.
- 4:23Speaker 7: We need to talk to his team.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Got to talk to his team, because that's a two fer.
- 4:28Speaker 6: And one of the core values of us with the
- 4:30Speaker 6: Boys is no free shoutouts. But that being said, the
- 4:32Speaker 6: two Bears five k May fourth and Raymond James Stadium
- 4:34Speaker 6: in Tampa Bay register now at two Bears five k
- 4:36Speaker 6: dot com. Early bird pricing ends March twenty eighth. We
- 4:41Speaker 6: love Burt, we love Sir Girl, we love the Bears,
- 4:44Speaker 6: we love all those guys. So please do us a favor.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Buy all the tickets and let him know. When you're
- 4:48Speaker 6: sitting in Resorts World on March twenty first and twenty second,
- 4:52Speaker 6: you start just channing the boys, Boys, boys, so they
- 4:56Speaker 6: know that this promo got you there. Even if it
- 4:58Speaker 6: didn't you happen to watch a show one you already
- 5:00Speaker 6: got your tickets. Go ahead and do that again for
- 5:01Speaker 6: a second time. Now, boys, I'm in a great mood today.
- 5:07Speaker 6: I don't know if you guys know this, but I'm
- 5:09Speaker 6: married a Canadian eight years I've been married and I'm
- 5:13Speaker 6: on April twentieth, four to twenty will be nine years
- 5:16Speaker 6: married to this woman of quick spark notes. I guess
- 5:19Speaker 6: that's my trend on this podcast. Taylor and I met
- 5:23Speaker 6: early January back in twenty sixteen. Five weeks later we're engaged.
- 5:27Speaker 6: April twentieth, we decided to get married. So that's how
- 5:29Speaker 6: quickly our relationships started. I've known her for eight years.
- 5:31Speaker 6: We've been married for eight years, about to be married
- 5:33Speaker 6: for nine years, so I've known her for about nine
- 5:35Speaker 6: years now. Love this woman. She's incredible, one of the
- 5:39Speaker 6: best people we'ved You guys know Tailoring, You guys love
- 5:41Speaker 6: Taling If you don't love Taloring, and keep those words
- 5:43Speaker 6: to yourself, like she's amazing. So every year we go
- 5:47Speaker 6: up to Canada, and we know this break was coming
- 5:50Speaker 6: for the Super Bowl, and there was talks, Hey, should
- 5:53Speaker 6: we go to Norway, maybe go see some workers, go
- 5:54Speaker 6: to Iceland. My wife's always wanted to go to Iceland.
- 5:56Speaker 6: What if we do this exotic trip and have a
- 5:58Speaker 6: little bit of fun. I'm like, well, I don't get
- 6:00Speaker 6: to see Talent's family very much, so I want to
- 6:03Speaker 6: go up to Canada. I want to go up to
- 6:05Speaker 6: British Columbia, Canada see the family and my wife's like,
- 6:07Speaker 6: are you sure the weather it's awful up there, it's
- 6:09Speaker 6: gonna be the worst week of the year. Blah bla blah, this,
- 6:11Speaker 6: that and the other. We end up going and it
- 6:14Speaker 6: was phenomenal. It was great to see all of her
- 6:18Speaker 6: family members. A couple of bad eggs, a couple bad
- 6:20Speaker 6: eggs here and there, but who would family, you know, Yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 6: you gotta have the little sparks here and there. You
- 6:23Speaker 6: gotta go back and forth. It was great to see everybody.
- 6:26Speaker 6: We have a good It was like six days of
- 6:28Speaker 6: just mass cast Le's see this person, We'll see that person.
- 6:30Speaker 6: But every person I go to sea, every person there's
- 6:34Speaker 6: a whisper. There's always a lull in the conversation and
- 6:36Speaker 6: they say to me, you know, America place Canada on Saturday.
- 6:42Speaker 6: Excuse me, what was that? You know, you guys have
- 6:45Speaker 6: beat us since nineteen ninety six. I'm just letting you
- 6:47Speaker 6: know that America places Canada because there's always this back
- 6:49Speaker 6: and forth. I get a little more prideful when I'm
- 6:52Speaker 6: out of my country lines I step into Canadian land.
- 6:55Speaker 6: I tried to plant my flag figuratively, not literally, just yet.
- 6:58Speaker 6: I sit there and I you know, I tell her, Hey,
- 7:01Speaker 6: you guys have a lot of taxes up here. Hume,
- 7:03Speaker 6: we don't have that many taxes. Oh, yes, can't carry guns.
- 7:05Speaker 6: We can carry guns. You know. Yeah, we had a
- 7:06Speaker 6: couple problems here and there, but we get.
- 7:07Speaker 1: To do that.
- 7:08Speaker 6: So there's always a nice little fun back and forth.
- 7:11Speaker 6: But they start clamoring, they start chirping a little bit.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Connor Gallagher shout out the gags he were at Turtle Bay.
- 7:18Speaker 6: He's got himself his thirtieth birthday party on Valentine's Day
- 7:21Speaker 6: of all places, and all a bunch of family members come.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Everyone's boozing them, one's doing muff divers, having a great time.
- 7:26Speaker 6: We're like the only people in the bar, really, And
- 7:29Speaker 6: you know, there's a couple of clamoring, Hey Canada, we're
- 7:32Speaker 6: playing America. We're playing America. So I'm thinking to myself,
- 7:35Speaker 6: I don't know anything about this. Turns out for the
- 7:38Speaker 6: All Star break and you guys correct me if I'm wrong,
- 7:40Speaker 6: because I don't looked too deeply into this. But this
- 7:42Speaker 6: Four Nations tournament thing is new, like this is the
- 7:44Speaker 6: first time they've done it. Correct, I'm getting some headshakes
- 7:47Speaker 6: in the back of nothing. Verbal correct Okay, that's correct,
- 7:50Speaker 6: and I.
- 7:50Speaker 7: Heard this morning. It was to help promote the Olympics coming.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Up, right, because they in the last Winter Olympics, they
- 7:57Speaker 6: said nay, because the COVID thing everyone was wearing the mask.
- 8:01Speaker 6: They said nay to the Winter Olympics. They said, we're
- 8:03Speaker 6: gonna get away from that thing. So now so many
- 8:05Speaker 6: years later, we're promoting it. And now we got Canada
- 8:09Speaker 6: VERSUS America. I started doing a little bit of a
- 8:11Speaker 6: deep dive into our America team. We're on the street.
- 8:14Speaker 6: This is the best team anybody's ever seen. The other
- 8:16Speaker 6: the team from nineteen ninety six when they beat Canada
- 8:18Speaker 6: in the last international game they've ever played, they would
- 8:21Speaker 6: probably have something to say about that. But that being said,
- 8:24Speaker 6: this America team, apparently from all four corners of the
- 8:28Speaker 6: United States of America. These boys are coming together and
- 8:30Speaker 6: they're about to do a little damage out here. Austin Matthews, Scottsdale, Arizona,
- 8:37Speaker 6: captain of Team USA. Now let me tell you, Canada
- 8:42Speaker 6: where you fucked up.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Just a little bit.
- 8:44Speaker 6: I'm gonna let you know where you fucked up. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 6: your whole country is within one hundred miles of the
- 8:50Speaker 6: US border. I get it because up there's a frozen tunch.
- 8:52Speaker 6: We got a lot of stuff going on there. And
- 8:54Speaker 6: you guys live, eat, and breathe hockey. When I went
- 8:56Speaker 6: to Canada, ponds everywhere, lakes everywhere, Froz and over, you
- 9:00Speaker 6: see little kids four or five years old. They're out
- 9:02Speaker 6: there already dangling. But now you get a lot of
- 9:05Speaker 6: these prosy coming to the NHL. Where do they do
- 9:06Speaker 6: when they retired? They go to Florida, They go to Arizona.
- 9:10Speaker 6: So now you got like Shane Doan Austin, I don't
- 9:14Speaker 6: know who his dad is, but like the Kachuck family,
- 9:17Speaker 6: a whole bunch of ex hockey players are now finding
- 9:19Speaker 6: themselves in the desert playing at the ice. Then just
- 9:23Speaker 6: off the one oh one, these kids are growing and playing.
- 9:26Speaker 6: They come fro a little bit of a hockey background.
- 9:28Speaker 6: So this is where you fucked up. You let us
- 9:30Speaker 6: have your players. They got down here in America and
- 9:32Speaker 6: they thought to themselves, this is nice. I like being
- 9:34Speaker 6: a part this. I got my green card. Let me
- 9:36Speaker 6: just keep it where it's at right here. And so
- 9:39Speaker 6: now Arizona destination area. If you want to be a
- 9:43Speaker 6: legit hockey player, Florida destination area if you want to
- 9:46Speaker 6: be a legit hockey player the Northeast. We already seen
- 9:49Speaker 6: Ryan Whitney that boys an episode stud Minnesota. The state
- 9:52Speaker 6: of Minnesota is the only place in the entire country
- 9:54Speaker 6: you can go play high school hockey and actually get
- 9:57Speaker 6: a scholarship for So Minnesota's got that laid down. The
- 10:00Speaker 6: USA Junior team, you know where they're at and arbur Michigan,
- 10:03Speaker 6: that's where they hang out at. A lot of these
- 10:05Speaker 6: cats in the US team we're on the University of Michigan.
- 10:08Speaker 6: One individuals scored a couple of goals yesterday. He was
- 10:10Speaker 6: also on the team of the University of Michigan. So
- 10:13Speaker 6: I start to get excited. I start to get amped up.
- 10:15Speaker 6: I see Ryan Whitney on spitt and Chicklets telling biz
- 10:18Speaker 6: Paul Bisnetti, who is a Canadian, their time has come.
- 10:21Speaker 6: It's over. We have caught up to you. Not only
- 10:24Speaker 6: have we caught up to you, we are about to
- 10:25Speaker 6: supersede you as the greatest hockey country in the world.
- 10:30Speaker 6: So that gets me a little juiced up. Shout out
- 10:32Speaker 6: Ryan Whitney on that shout out Spitting Chicklet's. All those
- 10:34Speaker 6: beautiful boys, I start diving in, I start looking into it.
- 10:37Speaker 6: I'm starting to like it. I'm waiting at my gate
- 10:41Speaker 6: in Seattle, so I fly from Colonna to Seattle on
- 10:43Speaker 6: winning at Seattle. Later it gets over the intercoments, she goes,
- 10:46Speaker 6: just so you guys know, the weather's so bad in Nashville,
- 10:49Speaker 6: we might have to divert you in a different area.
- 10:51Speaker 6: And now we're gonna play a little game of fall
- 10:53Speaker 6: the bouncing ball here. Because I'm thinking to myself the
- 10:55Speaker 6: minute that happens, if I get diverted, I hope, you
- 10:58Speaker 6: God it's New Orleans. And if it's not, in no world,
- 11:00Speaker 6: I'm gonna go to New Orleans because I have to
- 11:01Speaker 6: figure out whatever I did that vampire boutique, because I
- 11:03Speaker 6: got some bad omens going on. Luckily I landed a
- 11:05Speaker 6: Nashville no problem. But as I'm getting on the getting
- 11:09Speaker 6: on the plane is when the first part of the
- 11:11Speaker 6: game is starting. So the first nine seconds of that
- 11:13Speaker 6: game we saw three fights take place, so throughout the
- 11:18Speaker 6: I have spotty WiFi on the plane. I pay the
- 11:21Speaker 6: eight dollars. I went the extra mile and I paid
- 11:23Speaker 6: the eight dollars. I'm sitting in the back of the
- 11:24Speaker 6: plane We're bouncing up and down like a roller coaster.
- 11:26Speaker 6: That thing absolutely torking like it's the Wop video in
- 11:29Speaker 6: the back of that plane. And I'm watching I'm watching
- 11:32Speaker 6: these boys from the USA grind their faces off. I'm
- 11:37Speaker 6: watching these guys dangle. Take this guy in Connor McDavid,
- 11:41Speaker 6: whoever that is, whoever that guy is. We're talking about
- 11:45Speaker 6: his speed, his athleticism, his his handles, his ability, all
- 11:49Speaker 6: these things. I'm watching two guys get him in the
- 11:52Speaker 6: corner and Ifell tower his ass while he's getting ponied
- 11:56Speaker 6: over the top, falling on his ass. I'm seeing Kachuck
- 11:59Speaker 6: boys like the Bass brothers from Mighty Ducks going in
- 12:04Speaker 6: ron and Canadian cats into the Board's no problem. Now
- 12:07Speaker 6: this McDavid cat, who when people are whispering about apparently
- 12:10Speaker 6: he's pretty good. He scores a goal quickly. My heart
- 12:12Speaker 6: sinks because I know there's a bunch of beautiful people
- 12:15Speaker 6: in Canada right now that are kind of hoping America
- 12:18Speaker 6: goes down. That's okay, that's part of the fun rivalry
- 12:21Speaker 6: I have with Taylor's family. But then the boys go
- 12:23Speaker 6: not one, not two, but three unanswered. Three goals unanswered.
- 12:29Speaker 6: The boys are playing such good defense. They're sitting back
- 12:31Speaker 6: in the third period.
- 12:32Speaker 8: Toying with them, Canadian cats, toying with them. Go ahead,
- 12:35Speaker 8: go ahead and use your speed, kid, Go ahead, go
- 12:38Speaker 8: ahead with those gray turnovers, because guess what between the
- 12:41Speaker 8: two blue lines, you're getting that puck. You guys want
- 12:44Speaker 8: to come over on this side of the ice, You're
- 12:45Speaker 8: going to catch yourself a couple of fists. You're going
- 12:47Speaker 8: to catch yourself a couple of hit checks in the corner. Hey,
- 12:50Speaker 8: enjoy this little mitten into your jaw a little bit.
- 12:52Speaker 8: How does that taste, buddy? So three periods of dominance.
- 12:56Speaker 8: One small little laughs from this McDavid character, but three
- 13:00Speaker 8: periods of dominance. And then I find out even more, Dude,
- 13:05Speaker 8: I don't get to see the national anthem take place.
- 13:08Speaker 8: I don't get to see the governor or the Prime
- 13:11Speaker 8: Minister of Canada sitting in his seat booing as well
- 13:14Speaker 8: with the rest of the Canadian folks in Montreal.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Away game. By the way away game, you got a
- 13:21Speaker 6: military cap sitting there with a microphone in his hand,
- 13:25Speaker 6: and he's seeing the United States of America's national anthem.
- 13:29Speaker 6: And you have the audacity, nay, the disrespect to go
- 13:35Speaker 6: and boo your brother, your neighbor, someone who's gonna sit
- 13:40Speaker 6: there and say I got your back no matter. Don't
- 13:41Speaker 6: worry about having your own military. We're gonna protect you
- 13:43Speaker 6: no problem. And you want to boo the boys. Disgusting,
- 13:48Speaker 6: absolutely disgusting. Now, personally, as a fan of sports, I
- 13:53Speaker 6: love it. It does juice me up a little bit.
- 13:56Speaker 6: It gets me fired up to see like this rivalry,
- 13:58Speaker 6: this banter back and forth. But a lot of people
- 14:00Speaker 6: are like this guy Trump, this big scary orange man. Listen,
- 14:04Speaker 6: the national anthem is not about the president of the
- 14:06Speaker 6: United States. It's not even about the people, the citizens
- 14:09Speaker 6: of the United States. No, it's much bigger than that.
- 14:11Speaker 6: It's the men and women who have fought and died
- 14:14Speaker 6: for this country to make sure that this freedom. Although
- 14:18Speaker 6: you might think it's free, it costs lives. So we
- 14:21Speaker 6: get after it every single day and we put our
- 14:23Speaker 6: hand over our hearts every single time the national anthem
- 14:26Speaker 6: comes up, we take our caps off, we keep our
- 14:28Speaker 6: feet at ten and two, and we let them know, hey,
- 14:31Speaker 6: we got your brother. We might not be on the
- 14:32Speaker 6: battlefield with you, but we're thinking about you every step
- 14:34Speaker 6: of the way. So Canada I love you. I'm a
- 14:39Speaker 6: huge fan of the West Coast part. I don't know
- 14:41Speaker 6: the other parts. But you message the bully, get the
- 14:44Speaker 6: horns a little bit, right. So what happens, Mitch? Do
- 14:47Speaker 6: you disagree?
- 14:48Speaker 9: I completely agree, completely agree. If I were you and
- 14:50Speaker 9: you and you were still with tailing when the national
- 14:53Speaker 9: anthem came on and they started booing, I would have
- 14:55Speaker 9: swung it.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I have to swing at her.
- 14:57Speaker 6: I don't want to swing on my wife. I love
- 14:59Speaker 6: my wife. I've already said she's the greatest human being
- 15:01Speaker 6: I have truly ever met. That's straight disrespect, straight disrespect.
- 15:05Speaker 6: But you know what's beautiful. Three goals unanswered, that's beautiful.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Freebird playing every time a goal is scored. That's beautiful.
- 15:14Speaker 6: The Kuchuk brothers putting belt the ass on those boys
- 15:19Speaker 6: at the start of the game, that is beautiful. Sidney
- 15:22Speaker 6: Crosby an incredible individual. He has been. He's one of
- 15:26Speaker 6: the goats of hockey, right. I'm not fully versed in
- 15:29Speaker 6: the world of hockey, However, I do know enough to
- 15:31Speaker 6: know that Sidney Crosby is incredible. Twenty six games he's
- 15:35Speaker 6: played international games. You know what, his record was zero,
- 15:40Speaker 6: twenty six and zero. He has a point differential of
- 15:42Speaker 6: like plus eighty five. Now, my understanding of the plus
- 15:45Speaker 6: minus thing is, if you're on the ice in the
- 15:47Speaker 6: other team scores, that's minus one for you. If you're
- 15:49Speaker 6: on the ice in your team scores, that's plus one
- 15:51Speaker 6: for you. So on and so forth. You find out
- 15:52Speaker 6: your numbers and more games you play, he is in
- 15:55Speaker 6: a plus differential that is absolutely insane. And that first
- 15:58Speaker 6: score that happened, bad pass by Sidney Crosby, gray area turnover,
- 16:03Speaker 6: looks like the goat got got You know what I'm saying.
- 16:06Speaker 6: That's all I have to say about that. I do
- 16:08Speaker 6: love Canada.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I do.
- 16:12Speaker 6: What we got. We got an amber alert here. I
- 16:16Speaker 6: am trying to pump up American We're getting an amber alert.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Oh.
- 16:18Speaker 10: I was seeing on there to light in the middle
- 16:21Speaker 10: a little bit from that little alert. But I did
- 16:23Speaker 10: see on Twitter everyone saying thanks to Sidney Crosby, all
- 16:26Speaker 10: the Canadian kids grew up wanting to be sid Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 10: they have zero goalies and it shows hmmm.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Beautiful. Yeah, dude. I was on the phone with my
- 16:38Speaker 6: wife before talking about I was like, hey, just so
- 16:41Speaker 6: you know, like when I get on this podcast, Kenna
- 16:42Speaker 6: is gonna catch hands a little bit, and she's like,
- 16:44Speaker 6: be nice, don't go too far. Nope, got to got
- 16:49Speaker 6: to our show. Think again, think again. This is what happens.
- 16:52Speaker 6: And if you don't like what I'm saying, sweetheart, beat us,
- 16:57Speaker 6: beat us, sweetie, because.
- 16:59Speaker 10: I loved you.
- 17:00Speaker 6: I love it. I love it because I've seen I
- 17:02Speaker 6: love seeing the passion from Canadian fans as well. In
- 17:06Speaker 6: my in my inbox, I feel like I feel like
- 17:08Speaker 6: I just played Ohio State again. My team just played
- 17:10Speaker 6: Ohio State again. Where Ohio State fans are there, Well,
- 17:12Speaker 6: you're a piece of shit. Remember what you said about this,
- 17:14Speaker 6: remember your first one year of college, all these different things.
- 17:16Speaker 6: They're going crazy on me, and I love it because
- 17:19Speaker 6: it's like, hey, you win, you get to talk shitting
- 17:22Speaker 6: you don't win. Guess what, Keep your mouth shut, Let
- 17:24Speaker 6: the big boys talk, Let the big boys whisper.
- 17:27Speaker 10: We will the end of today if we get a rematch.
- 17:31Speaker 6: Which would be awesome. So yeah, we were talking about
- 17:33Speaker 6: this before the show. There is a couple of scenarios.
- 17:36Speaker 6: Canada obviously has to win, but we're already in the
- 17:39Speaker 6: championship and we have to play Sweden. Correct, we have
- 17:42Speaker 6: to play Sweden, and for Canada to get in, we
- 17:45Speaker 6: have to beat Sweden or tie them. Now, if I'm America,
- 17:49Speaker 6: I would love to see Canada again. I would love
- 17:52Speaker 6: to go back play in Boston home home turf and
- 17:56Speaker 6: get after them boys again. That would be all.
- 17:58Speaker 10: As soon as they say, oh okay, dude.
- 18:01Speaker 11: So.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I kind of hope they like. So there's there's two
- 18:08Speaker 6: different thoughts that go in my head when it comes
- 18:09Speaker 6: to like booing the national anthem. One part of me
- 18:12Speaker 6: is like, yes, boo oh Canada, or start singing the
- 18:18Speaker 6: American national anthem while okay, while Oh Canada is being sang,
- 18:22Speaker 6: and I think that's an incredible chirp. I think that's good,
- 18:24Speaker 6: good clean fun. I think it's hilarious. I just said
- 18:27Speaker 6: it's good, clean fun, even though if you do to
- 18:28Speaker 6: America it's like, oh, disrespectful. It is, yeah, but it
- 18:31Speaker 6: is because why Because I was born here. So that's
- 18:34Speaker 6: what I gotta have pride in my country a little bit, right,
- 18:37Speaker 6: But it would be classy, it would be straight class
- 18:42Speaker 6: to do nothing. Yeah, that might shock them. That might
- 18:46Speaker 6: Canada might walk in there like boys are gonna do us.
- 18:48Speaker 6: We gotta fight right after, you know how it is.
- 18:50Speaker 6: We don't wear boys. We're gonna get after their asses,
- 18:52Speaker 6: all right, Yeah, poutine and beaten asses we're gonna do.
- 18:55Speaker 6: And they go out there national anthem, they don't boo
- 18:57Speaker 6: at all. They're thrown off, are discombobulated. Now, I mean,
- 19:01Speaker 6: think about it, gee right.
- 19:03Speaker 10: I mean, I'm just thinking of all the ammunition that
- 19:07Speaker 10: they just put on us.
- 19:09Speaker 6: I know, it's beautiful.
- 19:11Speaker 10: They got to win to get to Boston, and there's
- 19:15Speaker 10: no way they're walking in there and shit's not going down.
- 19:18Speaker 6: I love I love this passionate rivalry that's happening between
- 19:22Speaker 6: America and Canada. I think it's awesome. I think it's fun.
- 19:26Speaker 6: I think if they get the best of us, I'm
- 19:28Speaker 6: gonna have a flood of texts from the gallaghers in
- 19:30Speaker 6: the whitfield just telling me, you guys are bombs or
- 19:33Speaker 6: this or that, and I'll embrace it. I'll embrace that
- 19:36Speaker 6: with open arms. But as of right now, as of today,
- 19:39Speaker 6: February whatever, it is, America is the best country at
- 19:43Speaker 6: hockey in the entire world. And he came and argue it,
- 19:46Speaker 6: it's not even worth arguing. But what about the last
- 19:48Speaker 6: twenty six years, Taylor Well, no one goes your last game, right.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Also, no better city to send the Canadians.
- 19:54Speaker 6: To Boston, dude. I was trying to explain that to
- 19:58Speaker 6: my wife. I was like, Austin is such a unique
- 20:01Speaker 6: place because it's like it is that it's the Northeast.
- 20:04Speaker 6: But there's like so many blue collar, patriotic motherfuckers out
- 20:10Speaker 6: there that just go so hard for their country, and
- 20:12Speaker 6: you know, all their blood is boiling. They're happy about
- 20:15Speaker 6: the wind that America got over Canada, but more than anything,
- 20:17Speaker 6: they're pissed off about the booing that took place. The
- 20:21Speaker 6: booing's wild. That's crazy, and it's gonna happen in Boston.
- 20:26Speaker 6: You have no one to blame but yourself. Kevin, Oh,
- 20:29Speaker 6: I've watched the cliff.
- 20:30Speaker 7: It was the whole arena.
- 20:31Speaker 6: It wasn't just a couple of people right right. And
- 20:35Speaker 6: I've seen a bunch of man on the man on
- 20:37Speaker 6: the street stuff too, where people are like how do
- 20:39Speaker 6: you feel? Like they're in Montreal or wherever they're at
- 20:41Speaker 6: and they're like, how do you feel about America hockey?
- 20:43Speaker 6: They're like, oh, hey, fuck, fuck American hockey. They're going
- 20:46Speaker 6: crazy on us. They're losing their minds. On us won
- 20:51Speaker 6: three one. Did you Jack, did you watch the game? Dominance?
- 20:55Speaker 6: Absolutely beautiful? And I don't know like that. That's it,
- 20:58Speaker 6: all right, that's all he's got. Jack watched the Jack
- 21:01Speaker 6: loved it. He watched the game. It was absolutely beautiful.
- 21:04Speaker 10: I think what we need to do.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Is, do you know how like the Quakers when they
- 21:11Speaker 6: first got to America, they like went on a mission
- 21:14Speaker 6: to like spread religion throughout America, And like Mormons go
- 21:20Speaker 6: on their they go on missions right at eighteen, and
- 21:23Speaker 6: they go to different places to like make people, Hey,
- 21:25Speaker 6: you should believe in Mormonism. America should do missions to
- 21:31Speaker 6: other countries to teach football. That's what we should do
- 21:34Speaker 6: so we can develop well even more than we do
- 21:38Speaker 6: now if we do it all. We need to develop
- 21:40Speaker 6: other countries in football more so that somebody can get
- 21:43Speaker 6: good enough to play us so we can just beat them.
- 21:47Speaker 6: I want this international fight and on the grid iron. Yes,
- 21:51Speaker 6: I want sixty minutes of International American League football going
- 21:56Speaker 6: fucking hard. I love it. And Canada, since we're on
- 21:58Speaker 6: the subject of Canada, they need to change their rules
- 22:02Speaker 6: to American League rules so they can just get better
- 22:04Speaker 6: at that. Their fields longer it's wider. They it's like
- 22:07Speaker 6: a pass pass puntly there's only three downs. It it's
- 22:10Speaker 6: kind of crazy. They did just go to American rules
- 22:13Speaker 6: and get good enough so we can send our boys
- 22:15Speaker 6: over over the lines and put bell to ask real quick.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Give John Gridden three years in another country three years? Yeah, absolutely,
- 22:26Speaker 7: and it would It would be a good football team,
- 22:29Speaker 7: could be.
- 22:29Speaker 6: That'd be a good, hard nosed ball club, no doubt
- 22:31Speaker 6: about it.
- 22:33Speaker 9: In Canada are American players that couldn't make it in
- 22:36Speaker 9: the NFL, so that is true.
- 22:38Speaker 6: That is true. And and being in BC shout out
- 22:41Speaker 6: the Okanagan Sun. They have themselves a nice football team.
- 22:44Speaker 6: They actually play American rules as well. But I just
- 22:47Speaker 6: want I want some more development. I don't know what
- 22:49Speaker 6: we're putting in our food. I don't know if Bobby
- 22:51Speaker 6: Kenny's gonna stop that stuff from getting in our food
- 22:53Speaker 6: or what the deal is, but we need to put
- 22:55Speaker 6: whatever's in our food up in other countries so these
- 22:58Speaker 6: guys can get bigger, stronger, faster as well. We can
- 23:00Speaker 6: go play on the grid iron for sixty minutes.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Also shout out no free shout out. Japan has a
- 23:05Speaker 7: sneaky good football system that's been grown in their country.
- 23:09Speaker 6: For love that line it up. I don't know how
- 23:12Speaker 6: good they are. I mean there's no Japanese. I think
- 23:15Speaker 6: we've got a kicker on the Falcons coop, but also
- 23:18Speaker 6: don't want to be just I don't know if he's
- 23:20Speaker 6: Japanese or not. I don't know what he is.
- 23:22Speaker 7: NFL quality, but they have a league with a super Bowl.
- 23:26Speaker 7: They have multiple national teams of like multiple age groups.
- 23:31Speaker 7: There is a passion for it, which we want to celebrate.
- 23:34Speaker 7: That's our mission to spread that.
- 23:36Speaker 6: Yep, that's our mission to celebrate and expand the football mind.
- 23:41Speaker 6: So yeah, Japan line it up.
- 23:43Speaker 10: It would be kind of nice if they did adapt
- 23:45Speaker 10: football because maybe they could play when it's our off season,
- 23:48Speaker 10: so we have football year round.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Year round. That would be great. That would be great
- 23:52Speaker 6: to see. Now, if we were to do international games,
- 23:56Speaker 6: will we let our pro football players play or we
- 23:59Speaker 6: do like a college college players college All Star.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I'll go play.
- 24:05Speaker 6: Mitch, you would be probably a first round draft pick
- 24:07Speaker 6: for this. I would you volunteer his tribute?
- 24:10Speaker 9: I volunteers tribute for to put your chargs and tripes
- 24:13Speaker 9: on me and let me show international people how American football.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Man runs a football as you're trying to say, as
- 24:22Speaker 6: you're trying.
- 24:22Speaker 2: To say yes, but without saying.
- 24:25Speaker 6: That, Yeah, I'm with that, all right, Mitch is in.
- 24:27Speaker 6: We need fifty two other guys. We got one. We
- 24:31Speaker 6: need fifty two other hard nosed motherfuckers to get out there.
- 24:34Speaker 6: You can recruit.
- 24:35Speaker 9: I can recruit.
- 24:36Speaker 5: I know some.
- 24:37Speaker 9: I know some buddies. I got Davy up in Philly.
- 24:39Speaker 9: I know he'll play.
- 24:40Speaker 6: I got some Davy up in Philly.
- 24:42Speaker 9: He's in, he is, he eats, sleeps in breeze football.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I guarantee you he would.
- 24:46Speaker 1: He would suit it up for him.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 6: Is he good though?
- 24:49Speaker 9: Oh yeah, he was a captain with me at Sesquehanna
- 24:51Speaker 9: football captain.
- 24:53Speaker 6: That's what we should do until no disrespectable we're about
- 24:56Speaker 6: to say, until other countries can line it up with
- 24:59Speaker 6: the boys. We should be doing D two D three
- 25:02Speaker 6: football boys against them and just punish them.
- 25:04Speaker 9: D three football could wipe out international teams without a doubt.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I have no.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Not even watching film.
- 25:12Speaker 9: No, my sus Man football team could go overseas and
- 25:15Speaker 9: play this Japan national team. Put We'll probably twenty eight.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Them in the first We should do us versus the
- 25:21Speaker 6: world then like maybe the world gets their best football players.
- 25:25Speaker 6: I think football players.
- 25:27Speaker 7: I think we are forgetting that. We We got dog
- 25:29Speaker 7: walked in that U twenty tournament, the World Cup, the
- 25:33Speaker 7: U twenty Football World Cup. We didn't even meddle.
- 25:36Speaker 10: We got four ship Sycamore going to play and represent the.
- 25:39Speaker 6: Yeah can you question sure?
- 25:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
- 25:42Speaker 6: What are you doing bringing that up on the show.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Well, I'm saying that we need to be better in
- 25:50Speaker 7: international play. We can't just send whoever, because, like Mitch said,
- 25:54Speaker 7: it was a bunch of people whose daddies were paying
- 25:56Speaker 7: for them to be on the team.
- 25:58Speaker 6: So you're saying Davey from Philly should not be it.
- 26:00Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, what I'm saying.
- 26:01Speaker 9: What I was saying, I had a buddy who played
- 26:03Speaker 9: on the USA team or he was on Susquehanna. You
- 26:07Speaker 9: don't get picked to be on that team. You pay
- 26:10Speaker 9: to be on that team. So you you're getting these
- 26:12Speaker 9: make sense. Just like term said, daddy's money. They're paying
- 26:15Speaker 9: you or paying for you to be on that team
- 26:18Speaker 9: to go play internationally. It's not like they're getting picked
- 26:20Speaker 9: because they're good.
- 26:22Speaker 6: Could you imagine justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase playing on that
- 26:26Speaker 6: team dogs over see, y It's done. I do love
- 26:32Speaker 6: just all this international stuff. I fucking love it, dude.
- 26:35Speaker 6: I wish football wasn't a place where it could do that.
- 26:38Speaker 6: It seems like hockey has really figured out how to
- 26:41Speaker 6: do All Star weeks because the NBA All start. I
- 26:44Speaker 6: don't follow NBA as much as I should. I'm probably
- 26:46Speaker 6: gonna start doing that this offseason, trying to figure it out.
- 26:48Speaker 6: How does what's a double dribble, what's a travel? What
- 26:50Speaker 6: are all those things? I'm gonna learn that, and we're
- 26:52Speaker 6: gonna dieve in because I like to start betting on
- 26:54Speaker 6: some football, on some basketball. But like I watched the
- 26:58Speaker 6: Skills Challenge and I don't remember the two guys that
- 27:00Speaker 6: did it, but like you're supposed to shoot like nine
- 27:02Speaker 6: three pointers and it's all for time, and then instead
- 27:04Speaker 6: of shooting it, they just kind of like threw the
- 27:06Speaker 6: ball out three times, which I get. Strategically, you're trying
- 27:09Speaker 6: to do your best you possibly can to win it
- 27:12Speaker 6: in a time frame. But let's let's have a little
- 27:14Speaker 6: more entertainment. Who's who is this spicy white boy? Mac McClung.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Is that his name?
- 27:22Speaker 9: Mac McClung.
- 27:23Speaker 6: Mac McClung. Guy's got the Southern boy haircut and he
- 27:27Speaker 6: jumps over a car and dunks.
- 27:31Speaker 2: What's crazy? He's in the G League.
- 27:32Speaker 9: He doesn't even really.
- 27:33Speaker 6: Oh, they just called his ass up for this. Hey,
- 27:35Speaker 6: we need some bunnies out here because he won last year.
- 27:38Speaker 6: Is this the best year for white athletes of all time?
- 27:41Speaker 6: Right now? I mean McClung having himself a day at
- 27:45Speaker 6: the dunk competition. We got the exciting whites in the
- 27:47Speaker 6: Super Bowl. One gets himself a pick six. Cooper Degen
- 27:50Speaker 6: USA Hockey, USA Hockey all what I mean, we might
- 27:55Speaker 6: be on a generation or run. Boys, it's not making racial,
- 27:59Speaker 6: but it's a it's a big deal.
- 28:01Speaker 7: Biggest trade in NBA history.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Luca, white guy, white guy, NBA history, biggest trade white guy.
- 28:10Speaker 6: But but but a white guy. Garrett mumbles under his breath.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Well he didn't have the microphone. He says, European. I
- 28:20Speaker 6: get it, I get it. But also, white guy. That's
- 28:26Speaker 6: a nice little deal.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:27Speaker 6: I'm not saying we're gonna be on top forever, but
- 28:29Speaker 6: it's nice to just be on the peak of something
- 28:31Speaker 6: for a little bit. We're having a moment we're gonna
- 28:35Speaker 6: have a moment. Trust me, We're not gonna be here
- 28:38Speaker 6: for long. We will not be here for long. But
- 28:40Speaker 6: it's nice to be here right now. So yeah, dude,
- 28:44Speaker 6: the break was nice. It was nice to be up
- 28:46Speaker 6: in Canada. It was nice to be hanging out with
- 28:48Speaker 6: my wife's family. They're awesome. There's so much fun to
- 28:51Speaker 6: be around. I'll tell you what, though, I don't. I've
- 28:53Speaker 6: hit my threshold for the cold weather.
- 28:56Speaker 5: I am.
- 28:57Speaker 6: I'm over it. I'm done with it. I want to
- 28:59Speaker 6: move on from it. It was my idea to go
- 29:00Speaker 6: up in Canada. But in those six days I was
- 29:03Speaker 6: up there, I was like, I'm ready for it to
- 29:04Speaker 6: be over. And I checked my my little weather app
- 29:07Speaker 6: and Nashville is but have We're about to have snow
- 29:09Speaker 6: on Wednesday. Like, let's move on. They talk about climate change,
- 29:13Speaker 6: let's claim let's change the climate. How do we get
- 29:15Speaker 6: rid of snow all together? Is that bad for the world?
- 29:18Speaker 6: Is that bad? That's bad for the world.
- 29:21Speaker 10: Yes, that's bad for the world. We wouldn't have rivers
- 29:24Speaker 10: or no, we're rain.
- 29:26Speaker 6: We just just supplement the snow for the rain. We're good.
- 29:29Speaker 10: That means a lot of rain all right, you would
- 29:33Speaker 10: have rain over just cold.
- 29:35Speaker 6: I'd rather have a T shirt on and be wet
- 29:37Speaker 6: than have four coats on and be cold. That's what
- 29:40Speaker 6: I would rather have. But yeah, if there's a way
- 29:43Speaker 6: to not like just nuke the earth and have no snow,
- 29:47Speaker 6: I'd sign up for that. That's okay. I can be
- 29:51Speaker 6: in the minority for this, I could be. I can
- 29:53Speaker 6: be in the minority. I'm okay with being desert standing alone.
- 29:58Speaker 6: That's yeah. Listen, I grew up in Arizona. I know
- 30:00Speaker 6: what it's like to have son every single day. It's fantastic.
- 30:02Speaker 6: And the good thing about Arizona is they must have
- 30:04Speaker 6: done something with the weather, because they just pick like
- 30:06Speaker 6: a month out of the year where it's rains every
- 30:07Speaker 6: single day and then we move on see you later.
- 30:11Speaker 6: We got rivers man made, we got lakes man made.
- 30:14Speaker 6: But we're still here, you know. Anyway, boys, how was
- 30:18Speaker 6: your break? What would y'all do?
- 30:20Speaker 2: Oh?
- 30:21Speaker 6: Let's do an ad t you Dove's men about doves menu?
- 30:26Speaker 6: Are you afraid of taking off your shoes when entering
- 30:28Speaker 6: your friend's house? Getting nervous? Your team is down at halftime?

- 30:52Speaker 6: But it's all about having this sheet two inches from
- 30:54Speaker 6: my face, which Mitch told me. It's not a good
- 30:56Speaker 6: look visually for the viewer.
- 30:57Speaker 9: You said, after the Super Bowl, when's your eye doctor appointment?
- 31:01Speaker 6: Yep, And I thought about this morning. I had a
- 31:02Speaker 6: parent teacher conference today. I was driving up their solo
- 31:04Speaker 6: because my family's still in Canada. Very intimidating experience, by
- 31:07Speaker 6: the way, being like just the dad at the parent
- 31:10Speaker 6: teacher conference, it's way shorter the moment my wife comes
- 31:14Speaker 6: with me. How's everything going good? All right, see you
- 31:16Speaker 6: guys later. Let's move it on. But yeah, I was
- 31:19Speaker 6: thinking about that. I think this week I need to
- 31:20Speaker 6: text somebody. This week, my goal is to text somebody
- 31:23Speaker 6: the following week, act on that text the following from that,
- 31:26Speaker 6: get an appointment set up, so I have a three
- 31:28Speaker 6: week span here. When it comes to my eyes because
- 31:30Speaker 6: it needs they need to be fixed. Absolutely, but boys, sure,
- 31:34Speaker 6: we'll start with you. We'll be doing the break dude.
- 31:36Speaker 7: Okay, so mine might be the most worring, so we'll
- 31:39Speaker 7: just get it knocked out quick.
- 31:40Speaker 6: Knock it out.
- 31:41Speaker 7: Didn't travel anywhere. But we were getting the nursery ready
- 31:44Speaker 7: for the baby girl that's on the way, So we're
- 31:47Speaker 7: moving everything from the downstairs guest bedroom. We have kind
- 31:51Speaker 7: of like a little attic slash uh loft bedroom upstairs,
- 31:57Speaker 7: so we were moving all the furniture upstairs, getting it
- 32:00Speaker 7: cleared out for the nursery. I surprise built the crib
- 32:05Speaker 7: while Jill was out of the house, so she came
- 32:06Speaker 7: home to that. Put a little Valentine's Day balloon in
- 32:09Speaker 7: the crib.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Very nice, rushed it. Did it pay off?
- 32:12Speaker 7: It paid off nice, It paid off not maybe not
- 32:16Speaker 7: in that way, but okay, you know, happy wife, happy.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Life, as the old phrase goes. Absolutely so that and
- 32:23Speaker 6: that was really it.
- 32:24Speaker 7: If that tells you how boring my week was.
- 32:26Speaker 6: I love it, dude, getting set up for a baby.
- 32:28Speaker 6: It's exciting.
- 32:28Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 32:29Speaker 6: You're excited about the future, letting you know your hours
- 32:31Speaker 6: are about to change. Quite a bit happy for you though,
- 32:33Speaker 6: Thank you Mitchie. What we do baby? What was our
- 32:35Speaker 6: little break?
- 32:35Speaker 11: Like?
- 32:36Speaker 9: I went down to Chattanooga. Yeah, my girlfriend is on
- 32:40Speaker 9: her rotation down there for PA school. Chattanooga Rips. It's
- 32:44Speaker 9: a cool little it's like it's obviously a city, but
- 32:47Speaker 9: it's like a big town and it's it's a vibe.
- 32:51Speaker 9: There's a bunch of stuff to do, like it's it's
- 32:53Speaker 9: super walkable, very granola, a bunch of granola like your
- 32:59Speaker 9: your mountain man up there with long beards like Shraggley.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But it was cool.
- 33:04Speaker 9: That was my first time in the Nuga, and I
- 33:08Speaker 9: enjoyed it. I definitely definitely will be going back. It's
- 33:10Speaker 9: it's a vibe.
- 33:11Speaker 6: What's the place we went to?
- 33:13Speaker 5: Uh?
- 33:13Speaker 6: In the Nuga? Where it was that sandwich spot? What's
- 33:16Speaker 6: it called Yellow Yellow Deli? Did you go there?
- 33:19Speaker 2: I did not.
- 33:19Speaker 9: I went to this place called need Lives Guy, one
- 33:23Speaker 9: of my buddies I live with, he has he goes
- 33:25Speaker 9: there a lot for work. He has all the recommendation
- 33:27Speaker 9: need Loves Slaps. Did not go to Yellow Delhi. Apparently,
- 33:30Speaker 9: I've heard I think g was saying that it's like
- 33:32Speaker 9: a famous spot down there.
- 33:35Speaker 6: The Kooli, but it's famous.
- 33:36Speaker 9: We went to this place called Waken Bakery.
- 33:39Speaker 6: What's that like?
- 33:41Speaker 9: Kind of exactly what it sounds like. No, I didn't,
- 33:44Speaker 9: but you get a free pre roll with your coffee,
- 33:47Speaker 9: so no ship. Yeah, and you can you can get
- 33:50Speaker 9: your your coffee infused. There's one called like the double Fucket.
- 33:53Speaker 9: You could get a hundred milligrams of shit in it.
- 33:56Speaker 6: Didn't do it didn't Yeah, yeah that sounds like death.
- 33:59Speaker 9: Yeah, but Chicago based it was.
- 34:03Speaker 2: It was pretty cool bakery.
- 34:05Speaker 9: Yeah, that's that is the exact place that we went to.
- 34:08Speaker 6: That's awesome. It was a hundred milligrams in your coffee. Yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 6: that's like a vodka red Bull on steroids that is
- 34:16Speaker 6: just going to kill you.
- 34:17Speaker 9: It's called the Double fucking for a reason. But the
- 34:20Speaker 9: person that worked there like your stereotypical like beanie.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Like just kind of look white guy with dreads.
- 34:25Speaker 9: It was a white girl. But yeah, and she she
- 34:29Speaker 9: was super nice. We chopped it up for her for
- 34:31Speaker 9: a little bit. But yeah, Chattanooga rips.
- 34:33Speaker 6: By rocking a poncho hoodie. Yeah, had design tattoos in
- 34:36Speaker 6: our hands. Yep, nothing of substance, yep. Yeah, hell yeah, dude,
- 34:40Speaker 6: I messed with that.
- 34:41Speaker 2: It was sick.
- 34:42Speaker 6: I messed with that, dude. Fuck Yeah. Great trip, great trip,
- 34:45Speaker 6: A little trip to the new Gie.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I like it. I like it.
- 34:48Speaker 11: I like it.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Gee baby, what we do?
- 34:50Speaker 12: What we do?
- 34:50Speaker 6: How was our break?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Break? Was good?
- 34:52Speaker 10: I was here until Wednesday. My birthday was last Tuesday.
- 34:56Speaker 6: Happy birthday, So happy birthday.
- 34:59Speaker 5: Gee.
- 35:00Speaker 10: Chilled here Wednesday, went out to La It rained the
- 35:04Speaker 10: first two days. It kind of sucked.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Uh.
- 35:06Speaker 10: We got to see some friends, and then the sun
- 35:08Speaker 10: came out on Friday, which was nice. Spent all day outside.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was good.
- 35:13Speaker 10: It was a good little reset. It's always nice to
- 35:15Speaker 10: go out to the West Coast and you know, catch
- 35:18Speaker 10: a vibe and then come home back to reality.
- 35:21Speaker 6: Dude, the West is still never one in my heart.
- 35:25Speaker 6: I love the West so much. It's beautiful, it's more open,
- 35:28Speaker 6: more things to do, rip around. It's fun, a good time.
- 35:31Speaker 10: We were in uh like the Silver Lake Echo Park area,
- 35:33Speaker 10: so kind of near Dodger Stadium, and then uh west
- 35:37Speaker 10: of like Hollywood, West Hollywood, and it was a fun neighborhood.
- 35:41Speaker 6: Boys buying your free drinks out there. Huh.
- 35:43Speaker 10: No, we were not in West Hollywood.
- 35:45Speaker 6: You sure, sure, Yeah, it.
- 35:49Speaker 10: Was kind of like an East Nashville vibe.
- 35:51Speaker 2: So it was good.
- 35:52Speaker 6: I feel like LA is mostly East nationvill vibes.
- 35:55Speaker 10: I don't, I mean maybe I feel like it's a
- 35:57Speaker 10: lot of like what can you do for me?
- 36:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I can get I can get on board with that.
- 36:02Speaker 6: I haven't been out to l a like so much.
- 36:04Speaker 6: I've been out to more like the different.
- 36:08Speaker 10: I mean, obviously we went a couple of years ago,
- 36:11Speaker 10: but like pre COVID, the vibe was just kind of
- 36:16Speaker 10: like weird, and now post cup like COVID, it feels
- 36:18Speaker 10: very chill.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah it was.
- 36:21Speaker 10: It was nice, and no one does anything until eleven.
- 36:24Speaker 6: Am, so it's wild.
- 36:25Speaker 10: You get up, especially being used to our time, you
- 36:28Speaker 10: get up early. You can go for a walk, get coffee,
- 36:32Speaker 10: do whatever you want before anyone's even like on the roads.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I mess with that.
- 36:36Speaker 10: Yeah, it was nice though.
- 36:37Speaker 6: I love it. I love it. Great little trip, Jackie Boy.
- 36:40Speaker 11: I was also on the West Coast, not West Coast,
- 36:43Speaker 11: but the Western Mountain Ranges, the Rocky Mountains. It was
- 36:47Speaker 11: out in Breckinridge doing a little snowboarding. Yeah, it was weather,
- 36:52Speaker 11: it was pretty solid for the mountains. Last day was
- 36:54Speaker 11: really cold got down as you woke up and it
- 36:57Speaker 11: was like negative six. Then by like noon it was
- 37:00Speaker 11: like zero. So it had a big cold front move
- 37:03Speaker 11: in on our last day, but we got a little
- 37:05Speaker 11: bit of snow. One of the day's conditions were good.
- 37:07Speaker 11: Enjoy being on breck.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Dude, I'll tell you what though, like, oh shit, okay, yeah,
- 37:12Speaker 6: fuck no.
- 37:12Speaker 11: I'm thirty now and dude, three days of snowboarding hits
- 37:16Speaker 11: different than it did when I was like twenty one.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Dude, expand on that a little bit because I agree
- 37:20Speaker 6: one hundred percent with you, but I want to know
- 37:21Speaker 6: how your body feels.
- 37:23Speaker 11: It's just I thought that I it was going to
- 37:26Speaker 11: take at least another decade for me to be like,
- 37:28Speaker 11: oh I still have it, and I'm not saying I've
- 37:31Speaker 11: lost it. But like me and my buddy Tyler who
- 37:33Speaker 11: out there. We're out there with a bunch of his
- 37:34Speaker 11: work friends. Me and him have been snowboarding for like
- 37:37Speaker 11: a decade plus now, so we know we can ride
- 37:41Speaker 11: any commercial lift in the world.
- 37:43Speaker 6: I believe we can say know what that means snowboarding.
- 37:47Speaker 11: We can snowboard. But Dude, after three days, my back
- 37:51Speaker 11: and my legs, it was just like I was hurting,
- 37:54Speaker 11: just tired, and and plus I came from New Orleans
- 37:58Speaker 11: and Nashville, was in Nashville for a day and then
- 38:00Speaker 11: immediately out in the mountain, So just a lot of
- 38:03Speaker 11: traveling around, plus just it's kind of hard on your body,
- 38:05Speaker 11: but still had fun. And then on Thursday night, flew
- 38:09Speaker 11: from Denver to Charleston for our buddies bachelor party. So
- 38:13Speaker 11: two straight weeks on the road.
- 38:14Speaker 1: It was a lot.
- 38:15Speaker 11: But by the time the last few days were there,
- 38:18Speaker 11: I was finally hitting like a relaxing point where I
- 38:21Speaker 11: was just hanging with my buddies so I've known forever,
- 38:23Speaker 11: So it was great. Love having the time off. I
- 38:26Speaker 11: get like guilty on vacations. I don't know about y'all,
- 38:30Speaker 11: but like, it takes me a lot for me to
- 38:34Speaker 11: be fully enjoying my vacations. I don't know what it is,
- 38:37Speaker 11: but now we're back in Nashville, and I feel guilty.
- 38:40Speaker 11: I didn't enjoy my vacation as much. But isn't that no,
- 38:43Speaker 11: just kidding, But yeah, it was great. It was fun
- 38:45Speaker 11: to get away, but it's good to see the boys again.
- 38:48Speaker 11: And yeah, back in Nashville, it's gonna snow again. So
- 38:51Speaker 11: hopefully I'm with you, though I'm ready for the warm weather.
- 38:53Speaker 6: Got to get the warm weather back. Sure in your
- 38:57Speaker 6: hand is raised, yes, sir. I had a question for Jack.
- 39:00Speaker 6: What's up Jack?
- 39:01Speaker 7: How is Casabanita? That's one of my favorite places.
- 39:05Speaker 11: I didn't go in so on our way back on Thursday,
- 39:09Speaker 11: me and my buddy had a late flight. All the
- 39:11Speaker 11: guys that were in breck Coriage with us they had
- 39:13Speaker 11: an early flight, so we basically hang out in Denver
- 39:15Speaker 11: for the day. One of my buddy's younger brothers, Jack Hambie,
- 39:19Speaker 11: and shout him out. He works for Matt and Trey,
- 39:21Speaker 11: the guys who started South Park, and so he has
- 39:23Speaker 11: worked on the development and all the stuff that's gone
- 39:26Speaker 11: on with Casa.
- 39:27Speaker 6: Holy shit.
- 39:28Speaker 11: So I I messed up and didn't hit him up
- 39:31Speaker 11: earlier in the week, and I didn't realize. I mean,
- 39:33Speaker 11: it's like a three month reservation list to get into Casabani,
- 39:36Speaker 11: is it really? Yeah, it's you have to really fight
- 39:39Speaker 11: to get in there. So we didn't actually get to
- 39:41Speaker 11: eat in there, but we had time and I was like,
- 39:43Speaker 11: I have to see it in person. And what's hilarious
- 39:45Speaker 11: is Casabanita is located on like North Colfax in Denver,
- 39:48Speaker 11: and it's like a very sketchy area, and Costabanita is
- 39:52Speaker 11: just in the middle of a strip mall. It's just
- 39:53Speaker 11: this massive pink building.
- 39:55Speaker 6: But it was cool to te it's so much better.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was cool just to see it.
- 39:59Speaker 11: But whenever I go to Denver next, it'll definitely be
- 40:01Speaker 11: on my to do list because it's the happiest place
- 40:04Speaker 11: on earth.
- 40:05Speaker 6: What makes me sick to my stomach is a couple
- 40:07Speaker 6: of years ago when we went to Denver, We're supposed
- 40:08Speaker 6: to go to Boulder to interview Dion Sanders and that
- 40:11Speaker 6: ended up falling through, so we were just in Denver.
- 40:13Speaker 11: We could have done nothing. I think the time we
- 40:16Speaker 11: were there cos Beaneda was closed down. They had like
- 40:19Speaker 11: a bit they opened right before COVID and then they
- 40:21Speaker 11: had to close down and then it took a lot
- 40:23Speaker 11: for them to reopen and almost like killed the whole
- 40:25Speaker 11: business of it, but they did, so it's it's thriving now,
- 40:29Speaker 11: and I mean it's crazy. It looks like TSA out front.
- 40:32Speaker 11: Like going through there's like ten metal detectors and like
- 40:35Speaker 11: you know a bunch of security guards and people just
- 40:37Speaker 11: kind of like lingering around. You don't know if they're
- 40:40Speaker 11: waiting to eat or you know, just looking for money.
- 40:42Speaker 6: But we're just in a sketchy spot.
- 40:44Speaker 11: Yeah, you know, it's not the best area. But dude,
- 40:47Speaker 11: it's a beautiful establishment. You walk up and it's it
- 40:50Speaker 11: looks like a church, just pink and it's huge, and.
- 40:52Speaker 6: I've never seen a pink church before. But I fuck
- 40:54Speaker 6: with that idea.
- 40:55Speaker 7: Yeah, Trey had to save it correct. Yeah, okay, because
- 40:59Speaker 7: I went maybe six or seven years ago, like right
- 41:02Speaker 7: before they sorry shutting down. They were still doing the
- 41:05Speaker 7: divers and stuff, so I got to experience that.
- 41:08Speaker 11: But yeah, you definitely want to go back and check
- 41:11Speaker 11: it out. It's it looks like an experience. But yeah,
- 41:15Speaker 11: if you love South Park, you know what we're talking about.
- 41:17Speaker 11: If not, Casa Bonita is a Mexican restaurant based through
- 41:21Speaker 11: South Park. It's Carbon's favorite place. And then they made
- 41:23Speaker 11: it to a real life thing. So I love something
- 41:26Speaker 11: they pulled from from fantasy land and make something that's
- 41:28Speaker 11: a physical, brick and mortar established.
- 41:30Speaker 6: I did not know that. I thought Cosabineda was already something.
- 41:34Speaker 7: It was, but not to the extent that wasn't South
- 41:38Speaker 7: Park like when I went there with like the divers,
- 41:41Speaker 7: it was very rundown. It was like it needed a
- 41:46Speaker 7: facelift bad. They still have the divers, but it wasn't
- 41:49Speaker 7: to the extent that they like show in South Park,
- 41:51Speaker 7: Gotcha where like Cartman was like in this dream world.
- 41:54Speaker 7: But apparently that's what it is now.
- 41:56Speaker 11: Okay, yeah, well that's then you learned something every day.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Ful.
- 42:00Speaker 6: I'm glad you guys all had a great trip. That's outstanding.
- 42:02Speaker 6: I'm gonna look at my notes here real quick. Next
- 42:04Speaker 6: on the docket, should we have the guitar solo the
- 42:07Speaker 6: free Bird of the National Anthem? I think that's a
- 42:10Speaker 6: h I feel like it's a clear yes. I feel
- 42:12Speaker 6: like there. I mean, if you just get to you
- 42:14Speaker 6: and the Home of the rip bear Beard, that that
- 42:22Speaker 6: start just going and then the end we're brave. I
- 42:27Speaker 6: feel like we can get petitions on for that a
- 42:30Speaker 6: twelve minute national anthem, even like the Home.
- 42:33Speaker 7: Of the Bread and then there everybody starts going yeah,
- 42:38Speaker 7: and under the you just start hearing the damn damn, damn.
- 42:42Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 6: I like that dude.
- 42:49Speaker 1: With the.
- 42:52Speaker 10: There and then they start singing and then it's just
- 42:55Speaker 10: very faintly under there.
- 42:57Speaker 6: So you want, like the Leonard Skynerd song, Yeah yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 6: like national anthem, Yeah yeah. I don't hate that at.
- 43:04Speaker 4: All, like the.
- 43:08Speaker 10: Yeah like no disrespect bro.
- 43:11Speaker 6: But I think it, first off, I love this. We're
- 43:14Speaker 6: officially in a brainstorm as a podcast. I think you
- 43:16Speaker 6: do start to and then it just slowly fades into
- 43:22Speaker 6: the start of Leonard Skinner.
- 43:23Speaker 10: And the spotlight just goes on. That guy moves from
- 43:26Speaker 10: the drum guy.
- 43:28Speaker 6: And they just sing the song the way whoever sing
- 43:31Speaker 6: the individual singing wants to do it, their depiction of it,
- 43:34Speaker 6: and but in the same kind of rhythm of that.
- 43:37Speaker 6: And I love the guitar solo being at the end
- 43:40Speaker 6: because think of how rock hard you would get if
- 43:44Speaker 6: you are standing on the sideline of a football I'm sorry,
- 43:46Speaker 6: you're watching handover heart hat off listening to a guitar
- 43:51Speaker 6: solo and then a beef aft the two bomber comes
- 43:55Speaker 6: over the top in the heat the peak even that
- 44:00Speaker 6: guitar solo. Tell me you're not nodding right there, dude,
- 44:03Speaker 6: Tell me you want to end people not being patriotic,
- 44:07Speaker 6: Go ahead and do that.
- 44:08Speaker 10: Maybe plaze until kick the kick or the pug drops.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I love it.
- 44:15Speaker 10: Twelve minutes, twelve minutes.
- 44:16Speaker 6: You just keep that going then, and then the coin
- 44:19Speaker 6: flip's happening during the guitar solo, and then as soon
- 44:23Speaker 6: as the puck drops it's over. Buddy. We might have
- 44:27Speaker 6: just done it. Unbustle with the boys way more fun.
- 44:31Speaker 6: Could you imagine? Imagine being a captain walking out to
- 44:34Speaker 6: center field trying not to just hit like one of
- 44:37Speaker 6: those just a little bit of hip shoulder movement while
- 44:40Speaker 6: that guitar solo's go on. After a b fifty two
- 44:43Speaker 6: bombers just flew by, trying to listen to the referee.
- 44:45Speaker 6: You talk about heads or tails. Flip that thing in
- 44:47Speaker 6: the air, buddy, that's what you want, yeah, he said heads.
- 44:55Speaker 6: Crowd fucking cheers when you win it, and just some
- 44:58Speaker 6: guy long hair, long beard in the corner shredding. Every
- 45:02Speaker 6: once in a while, the big stream just goes to him,
- 45:04Speaker 6: comes back, goes back to him. I love it. Anybody
- 45:08Speaker 6: here saying nay to that? Does anybody say nay? Jack?
- 45:12Speaker 6: I just keep pointing it Jack.
- 45:13Speaker 10: To edit it and then put it out.
- 45:16Speaker 11: I say, do you say nay to your?
- 45:20Speaker 6: Hold on even having that?
- 45:23Speaker 11: Yeah? I'm not even getting here.
- 45:25Speaker 2: What if we just.
- 45:28Speaker 10: Only use Chris Stapleton's version, okay, with Freebird underneath oly Ship.
- 45:37Speaker 6: Okay, here's what here's what I do broad tears tears.
- 45:40Speaker 10: Think if you had free.
- 45:42Speaker 6: Bird, buddy, you're onto something special.
- 45:45Speaker 10: You're crying and rock hard, right, but think about.
- 45:48Speaker 6: Nothing better than being rock hard wile tears streaming down
- 45:51Speaker 6: your face. But I also would love to hear other
- 45:54Speaker 6: people's interpretations of how they believe the national anthor should
- 45:57Speaker 6: be said. Wow, Freebird is playing? Yeah, yeah, So like
- 46:01Speaker 6: maybe we start off maybe the first five The new
- 46:03Speaker 6: national anthem is Chris Stapleton.
- 46:04Speaker 10: I'm saying, like you search it on YouTube like the
- 46:08Speaker 10: o G the one is Chris Stapleton's. But you still
- 46:11Speaker 10: have I like that people, Okay.
- 46:13Speaker 6: I'm with everything you're saying. I'm with I'm officially on
- 46:16Speaker 6: board with that. Can we I don't know how AI
- 46:18Speaker 6: really works, but can we get that dialed in? Chris
- 46:21Speaker 6: Stapleton singing the national anthem to free Bird while we're.
- 46:25Speaker 10: Talking about this? Can we like get that hat off
- 46:27Speaker 10: of Will's mind?
- 46:27Speaker 6: What the fuck is that? Sure? You're lying? I saw
- 46:31Speaker 6: you wearing that hat looking at yourself before the show started.
- 46:35Speaker 10: What are we doing that hat, that hat during this conversation.
- 46:38Speaker 6: In this conversation, I'd say throw it out.
- 46:42Speaker 10: It's gotta go yep, see you, this is America.
- 46:45Speaker 6: See you later. It's gotta get out of here. Will
- 46:48Speaker 6: war that will actually will war? That we up talking?
- 46:52Speaker 11: Put it on his mic?
- 46:53Speaker 6: Who put it on his mic? Shirm?
- 46:55Speaker 7: I have no clue.
- 46:57Speaker 11: You don't do that with a daughter on the way
- 46:59Speaker 11: you're gonna lie about this country.
- 47:01Speaker 10: Don't do that on Scarlet.
- 47:03Speaker 7: I put it on the mine Scarll.
- 47:05Speaker 6: It's a beautiful name. By the way. I like Scarlet
- 47:07Speaker 6: Scarlet letter.
- 47:08Speaker 10: Speaking of Scarlett. Did y'all watch SNL fifty dude?
- 47:11Speaker 6: I didn't, but I'm gonna watch it.
- 47:13Speaker 10: You should tonight. There's some good moments.
- 47:15Speaker 6: I'm solo at the house. I have nothing to do.
- 47:17Speaker 10: Insane fomo. Everyone was there.
- 47:19Speaker 6: God.
- 47:20Speaker 11: Yeah, it just makes you be like, damn, I really
- 47:22Speaker 11: should have tried harder to be a cast member when
- 47:24Speaker 11: I was like fourteen.
- 47:25Speaker 6: Yeah, should have gone a second city in Chicago. And
- 47:27Speaker 6: I hope you get discovered.
- 47:29Speaker 10: It was crazy.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I know.
- 47:30Speaker 6: I apparently tailor and watched it last night because she
- 47:32Speaker 6: called me this morning. She's like, I know what your
- 47:34Speaker 6: next goal should be. I was like, oh, what is it, sweetie?
- 47:36Speaker 6: She's like, you should try to be on SNL. I
- 47:40Speaker 6: don't like perfect, sweetheart. Do you understand like how many
- 47:44Speaker 6: talented people are told no?
- 47:46Speaker 10: They had Ryan Reynolds there.
- 47:47Speaker 6: Ryan Reynolds did there to do a small little thing. Hilarious.
- 47:51Speaker 6: Lil Wayne was there, fucking what's the guy? What's this?
- 47:55Speaker 6: Then the guy from The Departed?
- 47:57Speaker 10: Well which one?
- 47:58Speaker 1: Uh leo?
- 47:59Speaker 10: No, yeah, noech Nicolson.
- 48:03Speaker 6: Nicholson was there, dude.
- 48:04Speaker 11: Introduced Adam Sandler.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Introduced Adam Sandler. Adam and also Adam Sandler my close friend,
- 48:10Speaker 6: my close and personal friend. We spend time on red
- 48:12Speaker 6: rocks together. Adam Driver, I don't can you pull up
- 48:15Speaker 6: Adam Driver?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Oh come on.
- 48:17Speaker 6: From the New Star Wars and come on, dude. You
- 48:20Speaker 6: know I don't watch oh him? Yeah, oh yeah, Adam Driver.
- 48:23Speaker 6: Dude not, I know. I got to rewatch. I was
- 48:28Speaker 6: such a big SNL fan growing up, and for me
- 48:30Speaker 6: not to watch that, it's pretty disrespectful. Steve Martin was there.
- 48:34Speaker 10: Yeah, he opened Cheaper by the dozen.
- 48:36Speaker 6: How long was this was this?
- 48:38Speaker 2: The It was long?
- 48:39Speaker 10: It was like two hours at least, No way it.
- 48:42Speaker 11: Was on cable with like commercial and stuff. It's probably
- 48:45Speaker 11: like if you watch it now wherever on NBC, it'll
- 48:48Speaker 11: probably like an hour and a half got you. But yeah,
- 48:50Speaker 11: there's a lot of skits, a lot of fun stuff.
- 48:51Speaker 11: Meryl Street made her first ever S and L performance,
- 48:54Speaker 11: which it.
- 48:55Speaker 6: Was, Yeah, that's awesome. And did I see post Malone
- 48:58Speaker 6: due Nirvana cover?
- 48:59Speaker 1: That was?
- 48:59Speaker 10: That was on Friday?
- 49:01Speaker 11: Yeah, pre party or something. But the people loved it.
- 49:05Speaker 11: It's hard to do anything Nirvana, especially Kirk Cobain.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Like that's it helps.
- 49:10Speaker 10: You have Dave Girl on drums, it helps and everyone
- 49:12Speaker 10: else in the vand.
- 49:13Speaker 11: Yeah, it's impressive that he got the public support.
- 49:16Speaker 7: I saw some comments that were hating on that live
- 49:19Speaker 7: performance and I did just want to say post alone,
- 49:22Speaker 7: if you hear this, like that was an awesome performance
- 49:25Speaker 7: and that deserved no hey on the internet.
- 49:28Speaker 6: He did a It's always gonna be Homer's for the
- 49:31Speaker 6: Kirk Cobain thing. I completely understand why people be.
- 49:33Speaker 10: Like this is not it. He and uh Travis Barker
- 49:36Speaker 10: did like a Nirvana like live stream during COVID to
- 49:40Speaker 10: raise money and you can go watch that on YouTube
- 49:43Speaker 10: and it is insane how good it is, and there's
- 49:46Speaker 10: like in the house anything.
- 49:48Speaker 6: Travis Barker touches dude, it's so good.
- 49:50Speaker 7: Post Malone came out smoking a sig and then just
- 49:53Speaker 7: write it before yes, right before the solo, just puts
- 49:56Speaker 7: it on the frat and just no shit, oh yeah, murdered.
- 50:00Speaker 7: It had great performing.
- 50:01Speaker 6: God, I wish I was that cool. Wouldn't it be
- 50:03Speaker 6: awesome just to be that cool? Fuck?
- 50:07Speaker 9: No offense, Like we just named all of those people.
- 50:09Speaker 9: But Taylor wants you to be on there.
- 50:11Speaker 6: Right No, no, no, no, no no, I'm agreeing with you.
- 50:13Speaker 6: I'm agreeing with you, like dot no shade taken.
- 50:15Speaker 10: I think what he's saying is Taylor thinks you're that cool.
- 50:18Speaker 6: Shout out my wife, dude. She's my number one support,
- 50:20Speaker 6: number one hate also, but number one supporter, no doubt
- 50:23Speaker 6: about it. And she's like, but Taylor, you love improv, Yeah, sweetheart,
- 50:27Speaker 6: I do, I love, I love.
- 50:29Speaker 10: I will say, I will say. You gotta read the cards,
- 50:31Speaker 10: so you might have to get your eyes to death.
- 50:33Speaker 6: Yeah. I have to get my eyes done for sure.
- 50:35Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 50:35Speaker 6: Basically why I'm getting my eyes that is so I
- 50:37Speaker 6: can be on SNL. Now the whole world knows being
- 50:40Speaker 6: on SNL would be all time improv is fun. I
- 50:42Speaker 6: mean doing uh to this day. My favorite podcast we've
- 50:44Speaker 6: ever done is the Bad Friends podcast. Being able to
- 50:47Speaker 6: do that type of improv is just so much fun.
- 50:50Speaker 7: Step one in that process of getting on to SNL
- 50:54Speaker 7: you you should do an improv class.
- 50:56Speaker 6: I think I think we should all do an improv class.
- 50:58Speaker 6: That'd be so much fun.
- 50:59Speaker 7: That would be I would love to do it.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Have you guys ever done an improv class?
- 51:02Speaker 10: I took drama two years in high school, so you
- 51:05Speaker 10: probably like that.
- 51:06Speaker 6: Then I got a.
- 51:09Speaker 7: I was district champ in eighth grade for improv.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Hold on tournament?
- 51:15Speaker 10: How does this tournament work?
- 51:16Speaker 5: Bro?
- 51:17Speaker 6: Okay? First off, let me can I say something real
- 51:19Speaker 6: quick please, and this is a safe space.
- 51:21Speaker 10: I think you're lying.
- 51:24Speaker 6: I think you're lying. And you just put the Chinese
- 51:26Speaker 6: hat on the microphone over here and you lied about.
- 51:28Speaker 7: That on scarlet on scarlet first place UIL district whatever
- 51:34Speaker 7: we wear for Aledo Improv Champion.
- 51:38Speaker 10: How does it work?
- 51:39Speaker 2: Okay?
- 51:39Speaker 7: So how the format works is you have a ton
- 51:42Speaker 7: of different drama based stuff. So you have like one
- 51:45Speaker 7: act plays, you have monologue readings, you have like singing,
- 51:50Speaker 7: musical aspects, like there's all these different really talented stuff,
- 51:54Speaker 7: talented stuff I signed up for. In this case, it
- 51:57Speaker 7: would be you and I, Taylor, are two guys doing
- 52:01Speaker 7: any improv scene that we draw out of a hat,
- 52:04Speaker 7: and we're going up against like thirty other two man teams.
- 52:07Speaker 6: Wow, sixty other people.
- 52:09Speaker 7: It was a big, big competition. It takes all day.
- 52:12Speaker 7: There's like six rounds to it, and you don't All
- 52:15Speaker 7: you know is that you make it to the finals.
- 52:17Speaker 7: You don't know if you win until the very end.
- 52:20Speaker 7: And I mean a huge moment, huge moment. I kept
- 52:23Speaker 7: that Uil, what was your medal?
- 52:25Speaker 10: What was your championship? I love it.
- 52:28Speaker 7: I press championship scene was that I was a evil
- 52:31Speaker 7: scientist and that I had a or well, it wasn't
- 52:36Speaker 7: that I was evil scientist. It was just an evil
- 52:38Speaker 7: scientist and an igor type character are trying to build
- 52:44Speaker 7: this monster go and so, uh, my partner and I
- 52:49Speaker 7: I need to remember his name.
- 52:50Speaker 13: Oh my, you point you just made up a name.
- 52:56Speaker 13: My next question was going to be My next question
- 52:58Speaker 13: was gonna be I was you boys with this need
- 53:03Speaker 13: the shout out?
- 53:04Speaker 7: No free shout out to Taylor Locke who was my
- 53:06Speaker 7: partner and best friend.
- 53:08Speaker 10: Girl, hold on, there's no way you don't remember his name.
- 53:11Speaker 6: I'm right here.
- 53:12Speaker 7: I got partnered with him right before the tournament because
- 53:15Speaker 7: Taylor and I were partners, we're best friends, and our
- 53:18Speaker 7: drama teacher was like.
- 53:19Speaker 6: All, my best friend, I can't remember my best friend's.
- 53:22Speaker 7: Well, I can remember Taylor Locke. Drama teacher says, y'all
- 53:25Speaker 7: are both trying to be alpha's in scenes and it's
- 53:29Speaker 7: you're you need one driver and then you need somebody
- 53:32Speaker 7: that's like the yes man to the driver to help
- 53:35Speaker 7: the scene push. She said, y'a are both trying to drive.
- 53:38Speaker 7: So she split us up. She gave Taylor a new partner.
- 53:42Speaker 7: I got a new partner. I think his name was Aaron.
- 53:44Speaker 7: I don't want to like jump on that by one
- 53:46Speaker 7: say his name was Aaron, and it was like right
- 53:48Speaker 7: before this tournament I got first. Taylor brought home the
- 53:51Speaker 7: silver with Preston Bartley, that was his partner.
- 53:55Speaker 10: Honestly, i'ner's name and also nice flo by you saying,
- 54:00Speaker 10: your teacher said, you're both trying to be alpha's.
- 54:02Speaker 5: We were.
- 54:03Speaker 7: We were both We're both trying to come up with
- 54:06Speaker 7: stuff for the scene and it would we'd wet heads
- 54:08Speaker 7: would bottle bottle.
- 54:11Speaker 6: I'll tell the truthful story when I so when I
- 54:14Speaker 6: was in high school. When I was in high school,
- 54:17Speaker 6: we I had U I did. I had an improv
- 54:18Speaker 6: like an acting class that I did and it was
- 54:20Speaker 6: so much fun. My freshman year we did it. Me
- 54:23Speaker 6: and Nick Bennett were in this class together. Nick I
- 54:25Speaker 6: remember his name because he was my best friend still
- 54:27Speaker 6: is to this day. And uh this during during the
- 54:31Speaker 6: same year, we had an English teacher who had to
- 54:33Speaker 6: leave us. She might have got sick or she just
- 54:34Speaker 6: moved or something like that, but we had Miss Clarkson
- 54:37Speaker 6: come in as a substitute teacher. She was like, we
- 54:40Speaker 6: were unruly children and she is like kind of like
- 54:44Speaker 6: not knowing what to do. So Nick Bennett and I
- 54:46Speaker 6: took it upon ourselves to teach the class improv and
- 54:49Speaker 6: instead of doing English, we just decided to improv, which
- 54:54Speaker 6: plays out because now I still can't read and I
- 54:56Speaker 6: don't know punctuation very well. But the whole time I
- 54:59Speaker 6: was there, through my junior being at the same school,
- 55:00Speaker 6: Catcher shout Us High School, we would go and every
- 55:04Speaker 6: year pick one day and we'd skip the entire day
- 55:06Speaker 6: to go to Miss Calrson, Miss Clarkson's class and teach
- 55:10Speaker 6: the freshman improv And I loved it. It was so
- 55:13Speaker 6: much fun. And back then it was just like poop
- 55:15Speaker 6: and p jokes that she would get upset about, but
- 55:18Speaker 6: that was really it. Love him.
- 55:20Speaker 10: Probably was such a fun class.
- 55:21Speaker 6: It is, dude, And if you can get over the
- 55:23Speaker 6: thought of like this, I hope I don't say something
- 55:25Speaker 6: dumb here, Like if you can get over like the
- 55:27Speaker 6: ego of being like, ah man, I'm gonna try something
- 55:29Speaker 6: and hopefully it hits. It's so much fun just to
- 55:32Speaker 6: throw costs to the wind and kind of rip those
- 55:34Speaker 6: things apart.
- 55:35Speaker 10: We had, like for my grade, we had like eight
- 55:40Speaker 10: guys that wanted to be in drama too, and the
- 55:42Speaker 10: teacher was like, this is I cannot handle eight of
- 55:45Speaker 10: you in one class, right, So they made two classes.
- 55:48Speaker 10: One was in the morning and one was in the afternoon.
- 55:50Speaker 10: So they split us up four and four, and we
- 55:55Speaker 10: were definitely the guys in the class that were like
- 55:57Speaker 10: immediately making it inappropriate, right, but had enough confidence to
- 56:01Speaker 10: where she was just like, I mean, they're not like
- 56:04Speaker 10: screwing up, but they're just taking it way so I
- 56:08Speaker 10: mean making everyone uncomfortable in a skit like just I
- 56:13Speaker 10: don't know, it was it was fun.
- 56:15Speaker 6: I love it. So I'm always saying yes too, Like
- 56:17Speaker 6: doesn't matter what the other person says, like you have
- 56:18Speaker 6: to say yes and go with it. Right, that's awesome.
- 56:20Speaker 6: What we need to do is we should figure out
- 56:22Speaker 6: how to get on SNL and then just try to
- 56:25Speaker 6: check those boxes. Let's try to check those boxes.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 56:29Speaker 7: Also texted drugs.
- 56:31Speaker 6: What's that?
- 56:31Speaker 10: I think drugs is one?
- 56:32Speaker 6: Okay, drugs is one. Probably doing some sort of stand
- 56:34Speaker 6: up as to writing.
- 56:36Speaker 7: Yeah, but more so improv and writing a big one.
- 56:40Speaker 6: Right, we should probably start writing skits.
- 56:42Speaker 2: We know people that have been on SNL, true, but.
- 56:45Speaker 6: We have no people that have hosted SNL. Not the
- 56:47Speaker 6: people that have been like mainstays in SNL.
- 56:49Speaker 7: Weller was a writer we interviewed. He was a writer
- 56:53Speaker 7: on SNL.
- 56:54Speaker 6: That's right. Now we know him now and he did
- 56:56Speaker 6: follow me. So yeah, we can probably figure that out.
- 56:58Speaker 10: That's okay.
- 56:59Speaker 6: No, I'm saying we could figre that out.
- 57:00Speaker 7: Yeah, we'll figure it out.
- 57:01Speaker 6: Yeah. Nothing that's okay about it, Like it's a good thing.
- 57:04Speaker 6: It's all right, it's Okay, it's okay, it falls you're
- 57:06Speaker 6: boys now.
- 57:09Speaker 1: So far.
- 57:09Speaker 7: I texted my mom for photos.
- 57:12Speaker 10: By the way of what you're just standing Yeah with
- 57:15Speaker 10: the metal.

- 58:48Speaker 6: so much? And I like went in like hand, went
- 58:51Speaker 6: through like all of my monthly like spending, and I
- 58:54Speaker 6: was like probably one thousand dollars of just crazy different
- 58:59Speaker 6: things I'm not not even using. So I'd like, not
- 59:01Speaker 6: only did I have to unsubscribe those seas I hadn't
- 59:03Speaker 6: go to places that's what it's called the coolest spot
- 59:05Speaker 6: over there by where Will Compton's house is. I had

- 59:22Speaker 7: did that two months ago. Yeah, and it really is
- 59:25Speaker 7: like at the end of the month, I look at
- 59:26Speaker 7: my statement now and I just feel so much better.
- 59:29Speaker 7: I saved around seven hundred something.
- 59:31Speaker 6: Love that.
- 59:31Speaker 7: It was pretty crazy.
- 59:32Speaker 6: It's huge.
- 59:33Speaker 10: I have a question on this, dahd I. You know,
- 59:36Speaker 10: like everybody have all the streaming services.
- 59:40Speaker 6: I love where you're going with this. It was on
- 59:41Speaker 6: my brain.
- 59:42Speaker 10: How do you pick which ones to have? Like, because
- 59:45Speaker 10: I I should get rid of some so I can
- 59:47Speaker 10: save some money, right, but how do you pick which ones.
- 59:51Speaker 6: Services we should tear talk the streaming services.
- 59:55Speaker 10: That's a great idea, Jack, I like that, But I
- 59:57Speaker 10: I struggled because, like recent episode, go check it out
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: if not, But like I keep Hulu solely because Workaholics
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: is on Hulu. I don't watch anything else on Hulu. Yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: there is good stuff.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: So like Archers on Hulu. Yeah, I've been diving to
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: that lately. I've rewatched. Also, Entourage is on Hulu now
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: is it's not on hymore as yesterday I was literally
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: thumbing through just trying to figure out something to watch
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: and I saw Entourage. I was like, oh shit, it's
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: on Hulu. Because I got Hulu, I got Prime, I
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: got I got Apple if that's is that a streaming service?
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: I got Disney, I got I got An, I got
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: all of them.
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: Yeah, it's crazy, I do. I did do the bundle
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: where it's like Disney, Hulu and one of them as
- 1:00:46Speaker 10: a bundle. They have like a couple options. So I
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: did do that, but like, yeah, I mean.
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: Stream because at one point it was like, yo, we
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: should get rid of cable. It's cheaper and better to
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: just do the streaming services. They beat us. Boys, we're
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: in a bad spot right now because we're spending way
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: more I bet than we were on cable before. Even
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: with all the fixings. You would get the hbos, the Cinemax, Cinemax,
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: all those things, Duets, skin Max back in the day.
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: That was I bet.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: How I got got is through Roku TV. You can
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: set up your debit card like on your Roku and
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: then when you download the app, it'll say, hey, we
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: already have your email and your payment thing. You just
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: say yes, I want to subscribe to it.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: We got you.
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: And so when I started going through my statement, I
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: was Discovery Channel plus Paramount plus Peacock I I unsubscribed
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: from at least six or seven.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Yeah that I didn't even know.
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: Like really that I had, truly. Yeah, And that's like
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: seventy bucks right there, eighty bucks right there.
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: You So I know we're gonna hear talk this. I
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: also want to give it a pet peeve real quick.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: That just scrambled my brain. My pet peeve this week
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: is when a new movie comes out on Apple and
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: you go to watch the movie and you can rent
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: it for twenty five dollars or buy it for twenty nine.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: That shit pisses me off because you know what you're doing.
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: You know what you're doing. The the brain wants to
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: go to yeah, ma wanitu, dude, my kids. That movie
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: came out, kids wanted to watch it, and I looked
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: at it. I was like, dude, I'm not spending twenty
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: five dollars on a forty eight hour rental. That's crazy.
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: So I told him, I was like, I'm gonna buy
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: this movie, but you'all better watch this movie at least
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: six times. And they made a promise, because in my head,
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: it's like, okay, yeah, six, Divide it by thirty.
- 1:02:30Speaker 10: Whatever that is. Here's your math.
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: Five bucks boom. You know I wasn't going with that,
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: did you know? Fucking with that five dollars? So I
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: told my kids, I will buy this, but you need
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: in the next year to watch this movie six times,
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: and they agreed. They've watched it twice so far and
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: it's only been two months. So I'm about to get
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: that shit down. But it is so annoying.
- 1:02:52Speaker 10: Can you return it?
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: Good question? Good question.
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: I wonder what the saleback is if you watch it
- 1:02:59Speaker 10: under the six times.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: Yeah, you get like a certain percentage of your money back.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: That's what you should do, because that shit is that
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: fucking frustrates me a lot, man like, because you know
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: they've got you by the balls, and it's like, I
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: want to watch this movie first off, one of two.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: If you haven't seen it, go watch it, especially if
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: you have kids. If you don't have kids, watch it
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: by yourself. Like, don't let people watching kids. Those are
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: great movies, great movies. But also, you don't want to
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: be a guy in a theater by yourself at a
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: kids movie?
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Would you rather?
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: You don't want to be a guy by yourself at
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: a premiere of a Kid's MOVI. You just don't want
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: to be that guy. The first okay, the opening weekend.
- 1:03:34Speaker 11: If there's kids in a premiere, let me talk about that.
- 1:03:38Speaker 11: Go ahead, So something as an adult, you got to
- 1:03:42Speaker 11: go to like the nine to fifteen ten pm showing,
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: because if a parent is bringing their kids to something
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: that late, that's on the parent for bringing it, Like
- 1:03:50Speaker 11: you shouldn't have your kids should be asleep. I agree,
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: So that's why you hit a nine to fifteen or
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: a ten pm preview. You don't have to feel weird.
- 1:03:57Speaker 11: You can actually judge the parents for being bad gardens.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: I agree, but definitely don't. I'm high in front of
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: your kids. That's your fault. It's eleven pm, and what
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: are you doing?
- 1:04:08Speaker 11: You really you really want to go, like with your
- 1:04:10Speaker 11: significant other or like your wife or girlfriend, because you
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: show up in like low kids for you, but you're like,
- 1:04:15Speaker 11: my girl just wanted to see this.
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: Yeah, oh my god. Yeah you know what, dude, there's
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: nothing wrong with going to a kids movie as an
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: adult with no kids.
- 1:04:22Speaker 11: But post a Yeah, you're going at four pm, creepy.
- 1:04:28Speaker 11: Come on, and you've got like a juice box too
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: with you. But there's no kids, You.
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: Got a juice box? Something different? Sucking on an icy
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: in front of a bunch.
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: Of kids, I mean four I don't know. I mean,
- 1:04:39Speaker 11: I don't know what the hate on icy?
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: Slipping on a slurpee four pm in front of a
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: bunch of kids, Dude, I don't know unless it's not
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: for me. Now I have kids, so I can do whatever.
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: You can't.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: Slurping, no problem, damn it. I'm gonna let you guys know.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: You're thirty, dude, you're gonna get it soon.
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: I gotta have a kids soon, so I gotta have you.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Should you should e us get dude, Just start putting
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: your seat in different places.
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: Just start.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: Almost. I almost took my niece to Muana too, but
- 1:05:07Speaker 11: she got sick of her Thanksgiving so we couldn't go. No,
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: and then, but I could have because it was in Atlanta,
- 1:05:13Speaker 11: so like the city. They don't know me, right, atl
- 1:05:17Speaker 11: We wear sunglasses, no doubt, trench.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: Goat nothing under knee you do on a slur feet dude,
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: that is pretty wild? Should we stay it on my list?
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: Should we stay on my list of categories? Oh yeah,
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: it's her talk, dude, off the bat off, just my
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: brain without doing a whole lot of research. Tier three,
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: I'm gonna give it to Hulu. I think Hulu's pretty fantastic,
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: especially the additional entourage. They've always got a lot of things.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: Sometimes I go to Apple. Can I put Apple in it?
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: Yeah? Apple TV?
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: Okay, Okay, I just don't. I don't know. I feel
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: like Apple's like a facilitator. I'll all look something up
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: and then I'll be like, oh, you got to go
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: to this for that, But I'll go Hulu. Tier three,
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: Tier two I'm gonna give to Apple.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: I might be the best, But my tier one I
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: feel like it's just og and they've gotten so much better.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: But I love Apple. I love the original shows. They
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: have Masters of the Air most recent. I think it's fantastic.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: And it is my like it's my facilitator. Like if
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: I don't know where to find something, I go to
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: the Apple, I put in the search bar, I start
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: typing in and it lets me know where I need
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: to go. My tier one Netflix, My tier one is Netflix.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: They're phenomenal. I remember they started off just being outside
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: of a Safeway grocery store and you get the DVDs
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: and you bring it back then they have the streaming
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: starting and it was just like ass old TV shows.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: Now they have their their original series. They have great movies,
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: they have great shows. Netflix number one live streaming, live streaming,
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: great reality.
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: To good strong, yeah, solid.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: All right, does anyone have a different setup they want
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: to sure? True?
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: I have an honorable mention to Shutter. It's a horror movie.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: Only stream that existed that might have made mine.
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: You would actually love it for Spook to obra Shutter.
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: Delanny Place started it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: I think Delaney and I have talked about Shutter now
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: that I think about it, But Shutter honorable mention.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: Three Hulu I'm going based off content too, not like
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: how the app goes are, like what's on it, but
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: like original content stuff or just their category folder of movies.
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: So Hulu it.
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: Would be higher if I didn't have to pay more
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: for no ads. Two Netflix love Netflix, love the original content.
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: It is starting to get oversaturated, so it's not number one.
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: Number one might be controversial. Max, HBO Max just based
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: off quality of content, True Detect, div Sopranos, Game of Thrones.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: The list goes on. I mean they got bangers, So
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: that's my tear talk.
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: Okay, strong, solid, good. Okay, So we all just like
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: the streaming services well.
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: Thought out, So we all just like streaming services.
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: We're basically just saying they're all good.
- 1:08:23Speaker 9: Okay, I Loki.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: I use Peacock. It's it will Benble. The only reason
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: I use Peacock for.
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: The most part is to watch to watch the reruns
- 1:08:35Speaker 9: of the supercross race so I can watch that.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: Don't laugh at that, Jack, don't fucking make that face.
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: You let it be who he is.
- 1:08:42Speaker 9: Uh, And then my three would be Hulu, then Netflix
- 1:08:46Speaker 9: and then Max.
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: You don't have to three Netflix Max. So same as show.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know he was Netflix scond.
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: Yeah, it was exact same. Actually, that's okay, love Netflix.
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: We love Netflix on this show. Love Netflix. Go ahead,
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: it's all a good job, good job Peacock. Not dude,
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: who is listening to this intro? Right now? This is
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: Tier one ship right here.
- 1:09:26Speaker 9: What this made me realize is at the back of
- 1:09:28Speaker 9: the bus needs its own pod.
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: Do you guys do the numbers? You guys have one.
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: We'll want to try stories and yeah, you just tell
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: Sherman lies and then make fun of Sherman for it,
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: and then.
- 1:09:40Speaker 10: And then rank everything just the same.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: Yeah, so you guys will have the same show. If
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: you guys want to do your own podcast, and this
- 1:09:48Speaker 6: is up for the comment section. If you guys want
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: to do your own podcast and try it out, you're
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: more than welcome to do it. But it's gotta make
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: sense eventually.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: I don't know with the I guess it has to
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: be monetizable, like you. No, I mean, even even if
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: it's not, like, if you guys just want to do it,
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: you guys can, I guess, like it's for free, conch
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: do what you want, I say, Canada. Brother. Like you
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: guys want to do a little podcast in the back,
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: go ahead. You should actually set up your own studio too.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: We have four right here. Huhrey, we have three studios
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: in this room, your.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Own back of the bus.
- 1:10:27Speaker 11: You don't want to do it in the same you
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: wouldn't do it here, No, we would just do it
- 1:10:31Speaker 11: this side.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: Right and just yeah, but if you all y'all, I'm
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: assuming unless the boys are probably gonna sit in as well.
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: You guys want to be that close.
- 1:10:39Speaker 11: No, I'm joking.
- 1:10:40Speaker 10: We have Coop in here.
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: Yeah, gotta have Cooper here. He needs his own yeah,
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: Coop's corner. I like that, but also set up four
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: chairs in front of the green screen boom, you're welcome. Yeah,
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: I can do pre production stuff for you guys, like sure,
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: a little but a motivational video. Let's go things. I
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: think we can talk about, guys. Let's see here, Baylor
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: did good. This week's about Baylor, you know, right, nothing
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: to call home about, but uh write home about.
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: Yeah, we should do an opposite day.
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: Yeah, if you want me to fuck up that dashboard,
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: go ahead, I'll go back there sort particulously pressing buttons,
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: yea DJ and on that thing. Do we have any
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: other combinations of the streaming services that we'd like to
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: tear talk? I know, I got my two boys up.
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: I think i'd keep mind the same with I don't
- 1:11:36Speaker 10: really have like an order, but it's Max, it's Netflix,
- 1:11:40Speaker 10: it's Hulu. But my honorable mention would go to Disney.
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: I don't funk with Disney like that really.
- 1:11:48Speaker 10: For twenty nine.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: I love Here's what I don't. I don't. I love
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: the content that Disney provides.
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: I do like that lot of miracles also on that rate, yeah.
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: Which I don't know yet, but no listen, listen, listen, guys,
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: my show, hold on, my show, my show. Okay, the
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: rains here, boys, let me handle this one real quick.
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: I enjoy Disney. I love Disney's the content that they have. However,
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: when I go to my Apple and I type in
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: what I want to watch and then it sends me
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: to Disney, Disney makes it a fucked up where I
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: have to, like now, go to Disney to search to
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: find that content. I don't like the process it takes
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: to get to my viewing pleasures. When I'm finally viewing it,
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: I'm having pleasure, but it's getting to the pleasure if
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: I don't know exactly where it's at. I don't know
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: it's on Disney, and I have to go to Apple
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: and say, oh, by the way, it's on Disney. I
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: shrugged my shoulders and have a deep exhale because I
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: know I'm have to go to Disney and search it.
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: It doesn't just bring me to the thing.
- 1:12:48Speaker 10: It sounds like you use Apple as like a Google search.
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like i'd be pretty clear about that.
- 1:12:53Speaker 10: I know that I feel like I've never had that experience.
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: I just do that top left, I see that little
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: apple dude, with a little bite taking out of it.
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: I go to the search button there they kind of
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: like you want to find this will be on Disney,
- 1:13:03Speaker 6: and I think fuck.
- 1:13:07Speaker 10: Or Google.
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: That sounds like crazy to me. If I'm already on
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: the deal, why won't I just keep using the deal.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: If I had to go off this deal to a
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: new deal, that's a whole different deal. Here's where you
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: and I differ. My this is my remote control for
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: my TV. So I I go like this, I'm doing this,
- 1:13:29Speaker 6: and then so then I have to like swipe up,
- 1:13:32Speaker 6: scroll over, boom, re get on the app that has
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: to recalibrate the Internet. That's a good point, Ge, that's
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: a good one. I don't utilize Siri enough. She's a
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: little bit of a bitch to be honest. Right, Hey,
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: Siri always listening. She's always listening. All right, dude, we
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: feel good about it.
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: Wait, I have one thing. Every I was in the
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: boat with everyone on Hulu did name Max Apple TV Alytics.
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: The only yeah, Netflix. The only thing that I I
- 1:14:04Speaker 11: would add as my third is YouTube TV because it's
- 1:14:08Speaker 11: become almost like the premiere like cable streaming platform.
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: You're absolutely right, and on.
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: Top of that you can go to their movie tabs
- 1:14:14Speaker 11: and we'll show you every movie that's on currently in cable,
- 1:14:17Speaker 11: every movie that's gonna come on later in the day,
- 1:14:19Speaker 11: and they have a bunch of free movies. I' tew
- 1:14:21Speaker 11: my first go to. But like last night when I
- 1:14:24Speaker 11: was watching SNL fifty during commercial breaks, I'm flipping back
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: between that and Captain America Civil War, just you know,
- 1:14:30Speaker 11: being boom. So I do like YouTube TV, but yeah,
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: we're at we're at a point where cable TV was cheaper.
- 1:14:37Speaker 11: Now everything streaming is killing us and at some point
- 1:14:40Speaker 11: and every single platform, whether it's Netflix, Hulu, Apple, every
- 1:14:44Speaker 11: six months they go up through four bucks, like now
- 1:14:47Speaker 11: on Hulu. Hulu's my number one, but I have no ads,
- 1:14:50Speaker 11: and I think I pay like eighteen dollars a month,
- 1:14:53Speaker 11: and I'm like, it's like, come.
- 1:14:54Speaker 6: On, what we're doing. That's one movie on Apple. It's
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: not even the full price of mu Wana Tu.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: That I paid for.
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: But yeah, well that was fun.
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: I enjoyed that. I enjoyed that for sure, A tier
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: talk we were gonna do major sports tournaments, but psych,
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: we'll save it. We'll kick that can down the road
- 1:15:13Speaker 6: a little bit. How we feeling boy. Should we probably
- 1:15:16Speaker 6: get to the podcast a little bit.
- 1:15:17Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean this guest is electric.
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: Electric, But I do want to talk about one more thing,
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: one more thing, and then we'll get to the guest.
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: Dude Canada right like we bought it. No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: I want to give a special shout out to Richie
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: and Cognito. I think so Richie and I were not
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: as close as we used to be, but we used
- 1:15:42Speaker 6: to be legit best friends, Like at one point was
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: the godfather of my firstborn child.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Huh is he not anymore?
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: No?
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: No, No, well we didn't know he's not anymore. He's
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: not He's not anymore, gotcha. We did some new paperwork,
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: but I knew there's a shitload of trials and tribulations
- 1:16:00Speaker 6: Richie in Cognito has had, whether it be in college
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: or all over the place and stuff. But the biggest
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: thing that's kind of like carried weight on his shoulders
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: for the longest time was this Jonathan Martin out of
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: Stanford going to Miami and this whole like bullying saga
- 1:16:14Speaker 6: that took place with Richie that fucked him in so
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: many ways. Like he had a Pro Bowl season at
- 1:16:20Speaker 6: Miami and was about to get broke off. And then
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: in that offseason, Jonathan Martin comes out. I think he retired.
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: I don't know the full I know, the full story
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: is just not coming back to me right now. Like
- 1:16:32Speaker 6: retires because he's getting bullied, or he doesn't retire, but
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: he says he's getting bullied by Richie. Paints Richie in
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: this horrible, horrible pature. And I'm not here to say that.
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: Richie and Cognito like his His track record isn't like,
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: you know, got some bumps and bruises to it. Don't
- 1:16:44Speaker 6: get me wrong, the boys had some issues, but that
- 1:16:47Speaker 6: really screwed him over in a lot of ways and
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: probably contributed to a lot more things happening in his
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: in the future after that that painted him in a
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: bad light. The guy is a sweet individual. He's a
- 1:17:00Speaker 6: good man. When Richie is his healthiest version of himself,
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: he's a great person. He cares about people, he loves people.
- 1:17:06Speaker 6: Him and Tailing. He was around when Taylor and I
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: first met, and I like, I was like, I told
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: Richie in confidence, like, hey, I'm probably gonna propose to
- 1:17:15Speaker 6: this girl. And he sat me down and gave me
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: the whole like, you know, conversation like hey, this girl,
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: like you just met this girl. You're in the NFL,
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: like you got to I said, you know, we all
- 1:17:24Speaker 6: know what I'm talking about. You there's some areas that
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: you're gonna have to look at and make sure that
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: you're safe and all that. But eventually, when I told him, like, yeah,
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: I'm going to marry this girl, he was the first
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: one to support me. He was supposed to be in
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: my wedding. But all that to be said is like
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: it's super special, not special. It's great to see Jonathan
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: Martin say that was a lie and Richie get that
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: off his back a little bit because he missed out
- 1:17:48Speaker 6: on millions of dollars because of it. He was about
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: to get broke off. And I just think it's good
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: for somebody who didn't actually do the bad thing that
- 1:17:56Speaker 6: people said he was so bad for doing, you know,
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: have his deal and we're and then Jonathan Martin, you know,
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: I think it's a scumbag move. I think it's fucked up.
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: I know he's had his own issues himself, but to
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: have your own problems and to project it onto somebody
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: else so they have more problems it's not gonna take
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: away your problems. So I don't know the full story
- 1:18:17Speaker 6: allegedly of how Jonathan Martin came to this conclusion that
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: he should now be truthful about the whole bullying thing.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: It's scummy, but it is what it is. And I'm
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: stoked for Richie to have this, regardless of anything like
- 1:18:29Speaker 6: financially comes from this, or if anything like just having
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: for him to have the peace of mind to know
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: that this is all over. That fires me up for
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: the boy. He deserves it. He's a good person, and
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: I think the sports world needs to apologize to Richie
- 1:18:43Speaker 6: and Cognito to some extent. That's what they need to do,
- 1:18:46Speaker 6: not me. I've always had his back anyway. Kevin's denctional foods, Yeah, sure,
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: I was gonna.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: Say it was funny that his first reaction was then
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: to post pictures of that guy and be like, yeah,
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: I'm really buoying.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Him, right.
- 1:18:59Speaker 6: I saw one of him Jonathan Martin and Marquise Pouncy
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: when they're going there in Indianapolis on a carriage ride
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: and he's like wearing a blanket. It's funny, and may
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: laugh because I remember me Ben Jones and Jack Conklin
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: actually doing the same thing, and I was the one
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: bitching about being cold. So like that's it's just fun.
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: And it's like, yeah, like football, there is bullying that
- 1:19:18Speaker 6: goes on, don't get it twisted, but like there's still
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: fun times to be had, and like you got to
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: you got to rouse the boys a little bit about
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: having thick skin. But let's talk about Vin's Natural Food
- 1:19:29Speaker 6: a little bit. All right, let's keep this our healthiest
- 1:19:30Speaker 6: year ever. If you haven't tried Kevin's Natural Food, you're
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: missing out.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: I'm a huge fan of the Slaungeal limeed chicken. If
- 1:19:35Speaker 6: you don't like slunshal lime chicken, you can always have
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: the Tie style coconut chicken and the Korean barbecue. Boys.
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: I'm telling you right now, we've done a couple of
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: custom match with these people. Gee, he makes the play,
- 1:19:46Speaker 6: he gets it all ready, and it's like, hey, here's
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: what we're gonna do. After that, I end up beating
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: the whole damn played every single time. I'm talking about
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: gluten free, non GMO. It's paleo. The shit's delicious, and
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: if you want delicious protein paged meals on the table
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: in five minutes. Kevin Natural. Kevin Natural Foods heat and
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: serve entrees are perfect. These clean, nutritious meals taste like
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: something you get out at a restaurant. Kevin's entrees include
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: fully cooked beef or chicken, and incredible sauces, so all
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: you need is to heat and eat. It's hard to
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: believe something this tasty and healthy can be ready this fast.
- 1:20:22Speaker 6: All right, all right, all right, skip the greasy takeout
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: and grab Kevin's Natural Foods instead. It's the perfect time.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: It's a perfect meal time hack, and it is faster
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: to take out too. My brain's starting to get fraud
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: right now. Finds Kevin's in the natural It finds Kevin.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: Find Kevin's in the refrigerated section at your grocery store.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: This stuff is actually really good, it is. It's one
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: of those things where it's like you want to promote
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: all the things that you truly believe in, and Kevin's
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: Natural Food is absolutely delicious. So yeah, I'm glad I
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: said that about Richie. I'm glad we talked about Canada.
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: Let's let's let's warm the weather up a little bit
- 1:20:57Speaker 6: in there. Let's get that figured out. I love the
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: lad that's going on. I love the direction our national
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: championship is headed in great great intro boys. And if
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: you stuck around with for this long, you're a tier
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: one because we have been really just kind of fucking
- 1:21:10Speaker 6: off for what an hour?
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Hour twenty?
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean that's ridiculous. It's probably a little too much.
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: Good hang, good hang, it was a good hang. Also,
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: a couple of things of notes, something to look up,
- 1:21:22Speaker 6: look forward to. Possible Back of the Boys podcast coming.
- 1:21:25Speaker 9: Yeah, to help us think of names in the comments please.
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: Back of the Bus would probably be a good starting
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: point for that name of the podcast. But yeah, if
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: you have different ideas for names, that's great too. Also,
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: stream this week. We're not listening cam Belden. Trust when
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: I'm not doing a stream this week. I got so
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: much shit to do on Tuesday, I'm not fucking doing it. However,

- 1:22:11Speaker 6: you two guys. You guys have been around enough. Uh,
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: you guys have been up my ass to my Twitter
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: as well. Jamis Winston, Dude, there is not enough good
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: things you could say about this guest. The guy. It
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: starts with the crab legs. People get pissed off at him,
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: he gets drafted first. Overall, he has these ups and downs.
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: But the presence and the passion that this guy has
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: in this podcast is incredible. He came with a slew
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: of gentlemen. He came with so many people, cousins, aunts, uncle's,
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: a whole bunch of family members around him. They basically,
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: Fox basically gave him a microphone for the entire week
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: in New Orleans, and every single time I saw him
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: on Twitter, I had to watch it is. He is
- 1:22:50Speaker 6: incredible content. He's gonna have a huge career after football,
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: while he's already having a massive career right now. I'm
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: so excited for him. I'm excited for his future and
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: I'm excited for this upcoming season to see where he
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: heads off to. Big fan of Jamis Winston, please enjoy

- 1:23:34Speaker 12: place with Busting with the Boys.

- 1:23:39Speaker 2: this greatness.
- 1:23:40Speaker 12: I see, I see, I see You're holding some some
- 1:23:42Speaker 12: real tea. Yeah, what's what do you got going on
- 1:23:44Speaker 12: in real tea?
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: Well, I mean real Tea is the best tea out
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: there on the market, just the clean ingredients. And when
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: I just actually just finished the workout, so I had
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: to make sure that I hydrated up with my real tea.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Bro, you're in with the good crew. I feel like
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I've seen theo Vaughn.
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: Yeahs the rounds with the big, big time people.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Manyeah, that is awesome.
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: Had an interview with UH president of like forty seven
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: and these cans were in the background.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: Bro, So I think that's a good thing. Dude.
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: Seeing him do that with THEO. Of all the podcasts
- 1:24:15Speaker 6: he did, that was my favorite one to watch. That
- 1:24:17Speaker 6: and Schultz's one.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, iod it was.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: Solid.
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: Saw the time, very nerve wracking for busting with the boys,
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: but then you're talking about like cocaine and stuff like that.
- 1:24:27Speaker 6: To me, it was so funny because he's so authentically himself,
- 1:24:30Speaker 6: similar to you did you when you're coming out of
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: college and the whole crab like things happened?
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Who's gonna be first?
- 1:24:37Speaker 6: You were Marcus? Like I feel like there was a
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: dip in like oh this guy, Like maybe people weren't
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: appreciating your personality. You flip over, it's been ten years now.
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: You are like the media darling. I watch you at
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: Media Days on Monday. The way you set up the
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: joke for what's your favorite color to Chris Jones, the
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: way like the comedic timing. Yeah, the how authentic you are,
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: like talking to Will he was at Barslow I we
- 1:25:01Speaker 6: have never actually met like Facers maybe one time after
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: a game, but hearing that, like, you're the same guy,
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: like at any point throughout your career where you're like,
- 1:25:08Speaker 6: do I need to be a little more like the
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: model student that these teams want me to be or
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: did you never waiver in who you were as a person?
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: Well, when I first got to Tampa, I think like
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: that was the compromise that I first made, like just
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: trying to get out of the get out of the
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: media as public enemy number one, because I wanted people
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: to really see who I truly was.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: So I invested time in the community.
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: I invested a lot of time with my teammates, and
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: I always consider myself like a people pleaser, but that
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: wasn't necessarily me at that time in Tampa because I
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: was just like, man, I'm so I'm so focused on
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: me as the person, but when you're a good person,
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: you do have to try to be a good person.
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: And I put so much thought, energy, in so much
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: time and effort to like, man, I got to show
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: these people that I'm not who they think I am,
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: you know, but at the end of the days, it's
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: not actually it's not You're not who you think you are,
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: but what you think you are. So it's putting my
- 1:26:01Speaker 5: energy toward like man my play toward like developing a family,
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: spending month like in Tampa that my young days, you know.
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: So like I'm in a new city, you know, it's
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: living young, wild and free. But at the same time,
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: I have a girlfriend that's living in Texas, you know.
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: So I'm trying to manage that relationship and also focus
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: on my dream, focus on winning the super Bowl, focus
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: on being the best quarterback and teammate I can possibly be,
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: and focus on being the best man that I possibly
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: be without the limitations and perception that others had of
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: me at that time.
- 1:26:32Speaker 12: When you are stripping those things off, like talk about
- 1:26:35Speaker 12: what it was like for you becoming a professional. When
- 1:26:37Speaker 12: you're around guys in the league that has been around
- 1:26:39Speaker 12: a long time, like I'm thinking of Tampa. You're around
- 1:26:42Speaker 12: like Levonte David Gerald, McCoy, Mike Evans, like guys who
- 1:26:46Speaker 12: are becoming pros. Because when you come out, you've been
- 1:26:47Speaker 12: a duel through at quarterback. You've been a man since
- 1:26:49Speaker 12: high school. Yeah, you've obviously major rounds in the headlines
- 1:26:52Speaker 12: when you were in college and when you get draft
- 1:26:54Speaker 12: and you're going to Tampa, like, talk about what it
- 1:26:56Speaker 12: was like for you becoming that pro, stripping yourself of
- 1:26:59Speaker 12: the you know, the past and everything else, and the
- 1:27:01Speaker 12: perceptions that people had about you, like becoming that ultimate
- 1:27:04Speaker 12: pro that you're supposed to be in the NFL.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: Well, one thing that a wise person shared with me
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: Joe Thaisman, and we had a tough conversation at the
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: Walter Campbell Ward and we're talking about just like I
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: was just explaining him like, man, Joe, like that's not me,
- 1:27:20Speaker 5: Like what you've heard about me on TV, Like that's
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: not me. Like I'm a Southern boy from Alabama. I
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: respect my elders, I respect everyone that I encountered with,
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: Like that's just how I was born and raised. And
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: he was like Jamis, He's like, I can tell look
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: in your eyes, I can tell that's not you. But
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: I want you to understand what this business is and
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: what public perception is. Perception is reality. So instead of
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: you telling me, or instead of you forcing people to
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: like you, or instead of you're trying to convince somebody
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: who you are, people gonna believe what they want to believe.
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: So you should just do that consistent day in and
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: day out. He said, the more that you do that,
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: it's gonna come out who you truly are here because
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: you can't hide truth. True is eventually gonna come out
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: to the light. But in terms of like veterans like
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: Jerry McCoy, another veteran that was that that really helped
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: me was Lewis Murphy because he had a chance to
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: be in in Oakland and Carolina around cam Noon, Derek
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: Carr and guys like that, Levonte David just his poor
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: as his presence in the time of community. Another big
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: one that y'all probably remember his name, Clyn MacDonald, like
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: just just a true man of faith. I had the
- 1:28:26Speaker 5: opportunity to go to Like you know, when you're young,
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: you're trying to go to every event that your teammate has.
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: So the first time I went to Little Rock, Arkansas,
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: it was to one of his charity events for his
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: foundation with his family and just seeing him as a
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: man with his girls and his wife, and I took
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: my h my girlfriend at the time now wife, and
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: uh that was one of the changing points in my
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: in my life in terms of like my commitment and
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: my love and my consistency with my wife in terms
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: of like when I saw that him represent his foundation,
- 1:28:58Speaker 5: people in his city coming to support him, I understood, like, man, like,
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: I know it's bigger than me, and I have a
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: partner who I can support and who I can help
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: lead to grow with me, to be be involved with
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: all these great things in community, family brands, like all
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: that stuff became important to me because I saw this man,
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: Clint McDonald religiously, like we went to a football camp,
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: he had a golf tournament, but who he was in
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: his community, I'm just like, man, like this this is
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: mean to my community. But what he's displaying with his wife,
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: with his kids, in front of his family, is that consistency.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: That that that foundation, and that's something that I'm chasing.
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: So when I was in Little Arkansas, I was like, man, like,
- 1:29:41Speaker 5: this is who I'm going to be, and like I'm
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: not waiving from this, Like I'm gonna be intentional with
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: my wife, Like I'm gonna get that fixed, Like we're
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: not about to be going back and forth, Like I'm
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: gonna be intentional with with what I want to do,
- 1:29:54Speaker 5: how I want to serve my community, how I want
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: to impact the younger generation. And obviously I feel like
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: ball has always been on the top of my mind
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: because that's something that we all have tried to perfect
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: along guy journey anyway, Well.
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: Yeah, you talk about like the ball being the top
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: of mind, like NFL stands for not for long in
- 1:30:12Speaker 6: so many ways, like you only have a finite amount
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: of years to accomplish what your childhood dream was. How
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: do you find balance when you get home?
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: Well, you find balance about being all in on every stage.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: And again, one of one of my biggest growth stages
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: as well in twenty nineteen where I got around Clyde
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: Christensen who coached Peyton, and you know, Peyton studied like
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: no like no other, and Clyde he was like I
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: was the first person to really encourage him, Like, hey man,
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: like what you do in this building is what you
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: do in this building, but once you go home, you
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: need to go home and be that same caliber studier,
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: same present person, same leader to your family. And I
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: was like, okay, So one thing that we did we
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: started developing a plan. I never really had a plan, right,
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: like I had my off season plan, but my nc
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: AS plan was, you know, studying watching four games on
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: Monday Tuesday, getting an early bead on third downs and
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: watching some more of the rundowns. But I never written
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: it down to what I was specifically specifically gonna do,
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: so I wasn't really holding myself accountable to the things
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: that I was doing to prepare.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: I was preparing, I was laying on the line, but
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: it wasn't strategized.
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: You're checking a box and yeah, like you watch these
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: four games, boom. I watched the four games. Yeah, watch
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: a little bit third down? Okay, now, no third down.
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: That I never put thought energy into the preparation side
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: I just did it because I loved it, and I
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: knew what was required to be a successful quarterback, and
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: I knew I couldn't go out there unprepared. But I
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: never thought that me actually sitting down with my quarterback
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: coach planning what I am going to do, how much
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: accountability that brings. Because I'm saying, like, if I'm gonna
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: write this down in freaking in June, what I'm gonna
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: do in the months of September, October, November, and December,
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: that's a level of commitment to like doing those things
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: and making sure that you actually are being those things
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: and not just saying, oh, I wrote this down just
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: to write it for the love of the game.
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: It seems easy to checkboxes for sure.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Just feel the energy of Jamis I'm already in this room,
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: and that lifts you up. Yeah, it does.
- 1:32:14Speaker 6: Like he's truly He's the rising tide that is lifting
- 1:32:16Speaker 6: our ship.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I appreciate y'all, but I'm gonna boat with y'all.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: I've been seeing you getting in the mix.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been seeing you getting in the mix.
- 1:32:23Speaker 12: You had something you were you know Taylor was talking
- 1:32:26Speaker 12: about earlier, but hitting media days.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: On behalf of Fox Sports.
- 1:32:30Speaker 12: You've been going on pods, like do you ever get
- 1:32:32Speaker 12: fascinated by the things outside of football? Because we all
- 1:32:35Speaker 12: eventually the game comes for us all. Do you see
- 1:32:37Speaker 12: yourself doing something like something like that after football?
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: Man, I consider myself a man of increase. So whatever
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: I can do to uplift people, uplift a brand, uplift
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: a company, I'm gonna do it. But right now, like man,
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: my main goal, like my contingency plan is none existent.
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: My main goal is to be a Super Bowl winning
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: starring quarterback in this NFL league. And like, do you
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: know the time, the effort, the dedication and preparation that
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: that entails that you know, obviously, my my my charisma,
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: who I am, Like, that's gonna that's gonna remain the same.
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: That's my foundation because my faith, that's that's who I am.
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: That's what I'm imittating Christ. So I know, like that's
- 1:33:14Speaker 5: gonna remain the same. But my dream is to lead
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: my team to the super Bowl and I still haven't
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: done that yet, and I can't. I would not allow
- 1:33:23Speaker 5: myself to be still in this business, still have opportunities
- 1:33:27Speaker 5: and not put dedicate my time and energy to assisting,
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: serving or helping my team.
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: Reach that goal.
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: Yeah, it's an impossible game to be half in and
- 1:33:37Speaker 6: half out about, especially as as a starting quarterback. When
- 1:33:40Speaker 6: you look at like the position you're in this year,
- 1:33:44Speaker 6: Deshaun Watson, he gets hurt. You come in and we
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: go up, we go down. We're kind of moving around
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: a little bit, but you're singing the ball everywhere? Are
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: you looking at guys like Baker Mayfield, who's you know,
- 1:33:52Speaker 6: went to the Browns. People kind of cursed him out
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: of the building. He gets out of there and now
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: he's like kind of reset himself and calibrate himself in
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: Tampa as a starting quarterback. Like what quarterbacks you watching?
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Me?
- 1:34:00Speaker 6: Like, I need to imitate this to take the next
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: stay step for that so I can achieve the goal
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: you were just talking about.
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Honestly, the quarterbacks that I've been watching this offseason
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: has been Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson because I think
- 1:34:11Speaker 5: they do a good job of limiting their own critical errors.
- 1:34:16Speaker 5: And sometimes when they play, you don't see like early
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: on in both their careers, you see the flashy they
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: show you they can make a play when it's time
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: to make a play, But sometimes they play games where
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: you're just like man like they have took eighteen consecutive checkdowns,
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: you know, And I think that's the part of my
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: game where I have to really master.
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: I know I can win a shootout. I know I
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: can go out there and thro.
- 1:34:40Speaker 5: Surgically dissect any defense that comes my way. But now
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: the key to my game to me actually elongating my
- 1:34:49Speaker 5: career is winning football games and protecting our team to
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: the best best be.
- 1:34:53Speaker 6: Like, definitely from an operation standpoint, is what you're talking about.
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: Talk to me, dude, Explain to me. Aaron Rodgers and
- 1:34:58Speaker 6: Russell Wilson. I've been a little bit. Russell Wilson, he
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: had he had a nice couple of weeks in the
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: middle of the season with the Steelers. But Aaron, those
- 1:35:05Speaker 6: two names, Like Aaron didn't have a great year. Like
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: the Jets were back on the Super Bowl contending for
- 1:35:11Speaker 6: they're having a parade in man. Yeah, when he's when
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: he's coming back, it doesn't work out that way.
- 1:35:15Speaker 5: Why those two quarterbacks, well, those two quarterbacks specifically, because
- 1:35:18Speaker 5: I think they do a good job of having a
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: plan for the game and uh, they might not have
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: five hundred yards in the first half, they might have
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: eighty yards, but they know when to turn it on
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: and when to turn it off. And no, they didn't
- 1:35:32Speaker 5: have Like russ probably didn't finish the way that he
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: wanted to finish. But if you watch the course of
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: his games, man, he is managing the game and is
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: in complete control of what he.
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: Wants to do. Same thing with Aaron. Yeah, he had
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: some ups and downs.
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: He didn't have the year that he wanted to have,
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: but still throughout the consistency of his play weekend and
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: week out is protecting the team. He plays that like
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: I call it. I call it selfishly thinking about yourself
- 1:35:59Speaker 5: like they play in a was Like, Man, I'm not
- 1:36:01Speaker 5: thinking about my stats.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: I'm trying to see like I'm not going to mess
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: it up.
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: I'm gonna let the other team mess it up, and
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: then when it's time for me to make a play,
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: I have the god given ability to go out there
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: and execue to make that play.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: This is what you're Basically, what you're saying is knowing
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: when to turn it on and turn it off.
- 1:36:14Speaker 12: Yeah, all right, talk talk about the mental game, like
- 1:36:17Speaker 12: when you are out there slinging it one week and
- 1:36:19Speaker 12: then you have the pixuls. I think you had a
- 1:36:20Speaker 12: couple of big sixers on Monday night, Like when you
- 1:36:23Speaker 12: you hear the rumblings and get you in interceptions.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: Like talk about the mental game.
- 1:36:26Speaker 12: Do you ever get caught up and turning the ball
- 1:36:30Speaker 12: over when you have all these touchdowns one week, you
- 1:36:32Speaker 12: turn the ball over next Talk about like being able
- 1:36:35Speaker 12: to separate, separate yourself, zoom out, give yourself perspective, give
- 1:36:39Speaker 12: yourself gratitude because just as athletes, you just know.
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: That it is a constant mental game.
- 1:36:43Speaker 6: Like when you are playing, have you basically what I
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: was asking us, have you ever brought a book on
- 1:36:47Speaker 6: the sidelines to read between series?
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: Never? Never, never in my life, but I have.
- 1:36:53Speaker 5: I have written things on my wristband like patience, precision,
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: execution feet. The mental game is so important because like
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: we all know this, like as athletes, you know you
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: hear the saying like the game is ninety percent mental,
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: ten percent physical and until point it's true because we
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: got our God given abilities like we can do this,
- 1:37:12Speaker 5: or we won't be able to do this, or you
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: won't be in a lead long like right, they do
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: a good job of assessing talent, but I would have
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: to credit my mental capacity in terms of handling highs
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: and lows one with my faith journey and my knowledge
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: of just the word of One of my favorite verses
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: is James two to or I want to say, is
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: counted all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you fall,
- 1:37:33Speaker 5: when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing
- 1:37:38Speaker 5: of your faith produces patients endurance. But let that endurance,
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: let that patients have its perfect work, so that you
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: can be complete, lacking nothing. Ultimately, That's what I'm trying
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: to do in terms.
- 1:37:51Speaker 10: Of that quote, but in terms of want to play
- 1:37:55Speaker 10: a game right now.
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: But literally in terms of my play, Like that's why
- 1:37:58Speaker 5: I'm like, I know, Okay, some things are gonna happen, right,
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: but when they happen I counted as man.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: I see the good in everything.
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: I have joy and when bad things happen, because now
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: I get the opportunity to make up for it. But
- 1:38:14Speaker 5: sometimes that gets me in trouble because I want to make.
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: Up for it right then.
- 1:38:18Speaker 5: But that's not start pushing the envelope. That's but that
- 1:38:20Speaker 5: isn't allowing the perfect work to happen. Sometimes a good
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: play is no play at all. Right, But I view
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: this in terms of the house and lows. I view
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: it from a baseball perspective. Okay, I'll play baseball. Y'all
- 1:38:32Speaker 5: play baseball.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: Growing up a little bit, a little bit center field.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: So you get in the Hall of fame.
- 1:38:37Speaker 5: You get in the Hall of fame, go on one
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: for three, right, So it's a sport that okay's failure.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: Like as a quarterback, man, what a great satism. I
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: want to go twenty two for twenty eight, three hundred
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: and seventy eight yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: Right, twenty two for twenty eight is perfect in baseball.
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: If I told you, man, I went twenty two for
- 1:38:58Speaker 5: twenty eight this weekend with eight doubles and four home
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: runs and uh, you know, three triples. Like that's unbelievable.
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: But literally baseball terms, I can go one for three
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: and make it in the Hall of Fame. That's a
- 1:39:12Speaker 5: three hundred average. So understand, Like, man, it's okay to fail,
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: but I gotta make the most of my opportunity when
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: it's there. I gotta have a snap and clear mentality
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: because I might have struck out this last at bat,
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: but this at bat, I have a chance, right, And
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: I believe that, Like you.
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: Can see that in the way that I play.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: I go out there with the approach like we have
- 1:39:32Speaker 5: a chance as long as there's time on that clock.
- 1:39:35Speaker 5: But I think I know understanding that, Man, I need
- 1:39:39Speaker 5: to play like for four quarters instead of just playing
- 1:39:43Speaker 5: for that specific specific drive. I need to play for
- 1:39:47Speaker 5: that specific play knowing that it's gonna take me four
- 1:39:50Speaker 5: quarters to win this game, instead of trying to win
- 1:39:54Speaker 5: on that one play. Right.
- 1:39:56Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, you seem like it's like him going back
- 1:39:58Speaker 12: to Aaron Rodgers and Russell Us and it's like eliminating
- 1:40:01Speaker 12: things like, Hey, the game's gonna come on one play
- 1:40:03Speaker 12: at the time, versus I gotta be Superman now, right
- 1:40:06Speaker 12: in the next series.
- 1:40:07Speaker 6: Of all the people we've talked to in the short
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: amount of time we've been here, it's like maybe the
- 1:40:09Speaker 6: most intentional human being we very spoke to, Yeah, or
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: at least trying to find intention. Yeah, in every single
- 1:40:15Speaker 6: situation you brought a baseball dude going one for three
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: and being in the Hall of Fame, you have like
- 1:40:19Speaker 6: you were in a rare breed of athlete where you
- 1:40:20Speaker 6: were able to play. Choose whether or not you're gonna
- 1:40:22Speaker 6: go to the baseball route or the football route, what
- 1:40:24Speaker 6: it everly brought you to. I'm gonna chase my football Jesus, my.
- 1:40:27Speaker 5: Love for this game, my love for the game of football,
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: my love for the uh the position that quarterback entails.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:40:35Speaker 5: Like, I think when you look at a leader in general,
- 1:40:39Speaker 5: I think the quarterback is that person that displays what
- 1:40:42Speaker 5: true leadership is like, especially when you got a good
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: one and when we got one that the team likes.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: Because we have to literally be able to communicate to
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: everybody in the locker room from all different walks of life,
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: all different uh backgrounds, Like we have to be the
- 1:40:58Speaker 5: people that can get in front of our guys.
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: And you might be from our you might be from.
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: Broward County, and we got to make this thing work,
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: all right, and the only way we're gonna make it
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: work is together. And that's the quarterbacks role. The quarterbacks
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: role is to make all these little pieces work and go.
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: So I take pride in that. And let me tell you,
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: when you're a po and you're watching other people hit
- 1:41:23Speaker 5: and watch other people winning games and you over there
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: eating seas and chewing on Big two, it ain't no fun, man.
- 1:41:31Speaker 12: The actual Yeah, I had something that I got one
- 1:41:37Speaker 12: before even the Deshaun Watson goes down and you get
- 1:41:39Speaker 12: your opportunity, there is even conversations before he goes down
- 1:41:42Speaker 12: and putting Jamis in just because of the quarterback play
- 1:41:44Speaker 12: that was happening walk us through this year, even before
- 1:41:50Speaker 12: you getting to play, Like how much were you having
- 1:41:52Speaker 12: to be patient and persevered? What even you might be
- 1:41:54Speaker 12: able to say, like, I know it's a backup, somebody's
- 1:41:56Speaker 12: not playing well, you're like itching, You're like itching for
- 1:41:59Speaker 12: that opportunity and you're time to shine. But what was
- 1:42:01Speaker 12: it like for you early in the year, especially when
- 1:42:03Speaker 12: those conversations started to happen on a it could be
- 1:42:05Speaker 12: a move here to put Jameis Winston in the game.
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: Yeah, man, you know, I feel like I feel like
- 1:42:11Speaker 5: God put me in the test last year with Derek
- 1:42:17Speaker 5: where man, we would go out in games and our fans,
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: like the Saints fans like they boing, they boring, and
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: I have to sit in the meetings and I felt
- 1:42:28Speaker 5: like like from out looking in, Deshaun's playing like like he'
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: bad or they're playing bad. But I felt like they're
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: playing good because when I'm on your team, I'm there
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: to serve you. I'm not there to serve the opin
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: or listen to the outside noise. I'm there to make
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: this thing work. When I tell all my team is like,
- 1:42:44Speaker 5: if you're not trying to be part of the solution,
- 1:42:46Speaker 5: you're not trying to win no games. I know that
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: it's at the quarterbacks. It's only one person that's gonna
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: be out there one everybody else. You play left tackle,
- 1:42:55Speaker 5: you had a right time. There's a left guard, there's
- 1:42:58Speaker 5: a right guard, the center, the quarterback. There are only
- 1:43:02Speaker 5: ones that are singular out there, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:43:05Speaker 5: So I have to be all in of serving the
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: shun and last year's opportunity, serving Derrick despite the outside noise.
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Now I also know that my opportunitis is coming shortly
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: and I have to be ready for that as well.
- 1:43:21Speaker 12: That is awesome, Yeah, that is because it's tough too,
- 1:43:23Speaker 12: because you talk about the dream, you want to lead
- 1:43:25Speaker 12: it to you to a super Bowl. Like you hear
- 1:43:27Speaker 12: the outside noise and everything else, but the compartmentalize and
- 1:43:29Speaker 12: know that he if you're not part of the solution,
- 1:43:31Speaker 12: you need to get out of the building because you're
- 1:43:33Speaker 12: part of the problem, or you're creating a problem or
- 1:43:35Speaker 12: some toxic poison that's in that locker room, which you
- 1:43:37Speaker 12: know it has to be eliminated if you're going to
- 1:43:39Speaker 12: be a good football team.
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: But what I started with this what I want for myself,
- 1:43:44Speaker 5: I want for everyone. So what if that was me,
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, Imagine how many people then
- 1:43:49Speaker 5: talk stuff about me my entire life Right now they
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: bind their tongue cause they're like, over time the truth
- 1:43:55Speaker 5: is gonna say itself free.
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: And I tell you, I still tell the shun.
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: It's like, brother, listen, you may be going through a
- 1:44:01Speaker 5: season of adversity, but I promise you you're gonna make
- 1:44:06Speaker 5: it out of this, despite public opinion, despite what everybody's
- 1:44:11Speaker 5: on your case right now. But if you don't give
- 1:44:14Speaker 5: up and you just use the ability that God because
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: Deshrin Watson can play football. You know what I'm saying
- 1:44:19Speaker 5: a lot of people that as fans that the Twitter
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: thumbs have they quit the judge somebody, they quit to
- 1:44:24Speaker 5: write somebody off. Because the game that we play in
- 1:44:27Speaker 5: in the NFL, we have the greatest game of them all.
- 1:44:30Speaker 5: Because every single year there are two hundred and fifty
- 1:44:33Speaker 5: six are people coming in to take our spot that
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: they're promoting this. They're like, we are celebrating the people
- 1:44:40Speaker 5: that's coming in to take your spot with the draft,
- 1:44:43Speaker 5: and we're gonna give them fake watches and free watches.
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: We're gonna we're gonna boost up the brands. We're gonna
- 1:44:48Speaker 5: take some of your deals and.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: Give it to them.
- 1:44:50Speaker 5: Even if they don't make it. They might not get
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: cut the first day in, but we're telling you that
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: they coming. So in terms of our mentality, it has remained.
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: We got to remain staff fast. We can't never a
- 1:45:00Speaker 5: lose sight of what we won't because we know it's
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: always gonna be the next man up. It's always gonna
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: be somebody cycling around. Gucca Ma always say he's using
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: the reference of of of his uh, his little flings.
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: He would say.
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: Opportunities are like buses, miss one next fifteen one coming
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: and you can look up the regular legacy.
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: You want to do that, but.
- 1:45:21Speaker 5: Literally you might miss the bus, but you gotta be
- 1:45:25Speaker 5: ready for that next bus to come, or you got
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: to be trying to bucket to get to the next
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: bus stop so you can catch the bus. But if
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: you don't want to catch the bus, then don't stand
- 1:45:33Speaker 5: and don't stand in the bus stop.
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 1:45:37Speaker 6: You talked about guys from from all over the country
- 1:45:39Speaker 6: going into one facility of fifty three guys that should.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: Have one goal.
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: That's to win a super Bowl.
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:45:44Speaker 6: When you go into your rookie season coming from Florida State,
- 1:45:47Speaker 6: you win a national championship. Like you you've been in
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: the tip top of college. Now you're put yourself back
- 1:45:51Speaker 6: on the bottom of the totem pole. What trials and tribulations.
- 1:45:54Speaker 6: Did you have maybe trying to push the envelope too much,
- 1:45:56Speaker 6: or how do I take leadership as opposed to earn
- 1:45:59Speaker 6: the earn the leadership. That's a very difficult thing because
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: everyone says the quarterback has to be the leader in
- 1:46:03Speaker 6: the room and to be a rookie immediately with grown
- 1:46:06Speaker 6: men who have kids for one k's all that and
- 1:46:09Speaker 6: you're walking for your first time. They're like, Yo, this
- 1:46:10Speaker 6: shit's crazy.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to be a leader in the situation.
- 1:46:14Speaker 6: Where did you think you thrived and where some areas
- 1:46:16Speaker 6: say like, oh, if I could go back, I would
- 1:46:17Speaker 6: do that different.
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: The places that I thrive was just bringing youth into
- 1:46:21Speaker 5: the whole situation, because I think even veterans in the
- 1:46:24Speaker 5: locker room they need to see someone who loves the
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: game and instills that passion in them that they may
- 1:46:30Speaker 5: have once had, or they might just need somebody to
- 1:46:33Speaker 5: help them assist them into finding their passion back. And
- 1:46:36Speaker 5: I know I did that to the best of my abilities.
- 1:46:39Speaker 5: The thing that I feel like I could have did
- 1:46:41Speaker 5: a better job at then I know I could have
- 1:46:42Speaker 5: did a better job at, was being unapologetically myself the
- 1:46:46Speaker 5: first few games at Tampa Bay. Like when we used
- 1:46:49Speaker 5: to lose, I cry, you know, I used to really
- 1:46:52Speaker 5: like I hated losing. But alone, of course, I started
- 1:46:56Speaker 5: to be okay with losing those games. And when I
- 1:47:01Speaker 5: consider myself being okay, that's why I said, nah, I
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: compromise too much. I wasn't me like I would never
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: be okay with losing. But anytime like this, this is
- 1:47:10Speaker 5: like science. If you take a step backwards, that is
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: gonna hurt you way more than taking ten steps forward,
- 1:47:20Speaker 5: because if you're consistently moving forward step by step, you're
- 1:47:23Speaker 5: gonna get father. But the only time where you eliminate
- 1:47:26Speaker 5: all chances is when you take a step backwards. And
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: when you compromise who you truly are as a human being,
- 1:47:33Speaker 5: you're taking a step backwards. So I try to please
- 1:47:37Speaker 5: everyone else, like I ain't gonna cry. I know we
- 1:47:39Speaker 5: just got beat by twenty.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: I'm not gonna cry. I'm just gonna act like I'm happy.
- 1:47:45Speaker 5: But that's I'm acting like I'm happy and we just
- 1:47:48Speaker 5: got beat by twenty Like that don't do nobody justice. Obviously,
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: when you walk into the building, like the mentality that
- 1:47:53Speaker 5: you need to have needs to be energetic, positive, so
- 1:47:58Speaker 5: you don't bring anyone else down.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: You can't be okay with losing.
- 1:48:03Speaker 5: And that's the part that I felt like before I
- 1:48:05Speaker 5: got the NFL, I never lost, Like I didn't lose really,
- 1:48:08Speaker 5: you know, not really.
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: We always won.
- 1:48:11Speaker 5: And I think that's the part in the NFL that
- 1:48:14Speaker 5: is limiting me from getting to where I want to
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: be because I don't have enough wins, you know, And
- 1:48:19Speaker 5: like early on in my tempa years, me compromising to
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: being okay with losing, I think that impacting my wins
- 1:48:29Speaker 5: leaning up to this point, up.
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: Until why do you feel like you started to be
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: okay with losing.
- 1:48:33Speaker 5: Because everyone else was okay with losing and I had
- 1:48:36Speaker 5: to be that person to make sure that they knew
- 1:48:38Speaker 5: it's okay.
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. We just need to fix this.
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: We just need to do this. We just need to
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: do that. Instead of being like, Nah, this ain't okay,
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: we have to do this. This is it is required
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: for us, not what we need to do.
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: This is a requirement if we want our jobs, if
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: we want to be everything that we want to be.
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: It is a requirement that we give all we have
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: in this game. It is a requirement that we understand that.
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: Winning is just as it contagious as losing, and I
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: don't think people understand that.
- 1:49:03Speaker 6: Yeah, when that first game of your NFL career, I
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: was officely on the other side line your second year
- 1:49:09Speaker 6: in the NFL, and there was always this back and
- 1:49:11Speaker 6: forth about who's going on, Marcus or Jamis and then
- 1:49:14Speaker 6: so like the media is essentially establishing a rivalry between
- 1:49:17Speaker 6: the two of you. Did you feel that rivalry going
- 1:49:19Speaker 6: the end of that game or through the combined process,
- 1:49:22Speaker 6: the interview process.
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: I definitely felt it throughout the combined process. Man and
- 1:49:25Speaker 5: me and Marcus was training at the same place out
- 1:49:28Speaker 5: in cars Bad prolific athletes with Ryan Flaherty.
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: And beautiful it's amazing, it's beautiful.
- 1:49:37Speaker 5: And we were out there to the same place and
- 1:49:39Speaker 5: like we would show up and like we never would
- 1:49:42Speaker 5: work out together.
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: Like literally like if I was in the building, like
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: he was either leaving U, he was gonna go somewhere else.
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: It was just never, uh, the the.
- 1:49:53Speaker 5: The brotherhood that you see one and two typically has,
- 1:49:56Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. It was just like you
- 1:49:58Speaker 5: over there on O here, like let's work, but I
- 1:50:03Speaker 5: ain't trying to do it together.
- 1:50:04Speaker 6: So no competations place because it is such an interesting
- 1:50:06Speaker 6: rivalry to me because both of you guys are such
- 1:50:09Speaker 6: good people.
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: But I didn't tell you how the good Parcus.
- 1:50:13Speaker 6: Never said a bad thing about anybody ever.
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: He's a good part.
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: I'm still trying to drag the audience out of James
- 1:50:21Speaker 6: Winston and Marcus.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: Hated each other.
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: It's crazy. We we never hated each other.
- 1:50:24Speaker 5: Bro We just like obviously I was Marcus was always
- 1:50:28Speaker 5: the quiet person among us two, so I know I
- 1:50:32Speaker 5: probably have been extra uh in times I was rounding him.
- 1:50:35Speaker 5: But last year, man, I took time just searching, like
- 1:50:39Speaker 5: who can I train with? UH? And I took the
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: accountability of going out to Oregon, going out to train
- 1:50:44Speaker 5: with Jimmy Radcliffe, who's who's a long time strength coach
- 1:50:48Speaker 5: at Oregon, just because I was focusing on my speed
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: and agility.
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: So I went out there and.
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: My my chiropractor, Eric Gorman is from Oregon, UH, and
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: UH loves Oregon, so you like, hey, let's go ahead
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: because he's the best. And Marcus was out there. So
- 1:51:04Speaker 5: that was the first time in ten years we actually
- 1:51:07Speaker 5: trained together. And it was such a surreal moment because
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: Marcus was.
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: The one that was showing me the exercise. I'm just like, dang, Like, Marcus,
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: you done have this upper hand on me this whole time.
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: You could have been putting me on the like what's
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: going on? But it was.
- 1:51:22Speaker 5: It was such a respectable moment because you know, I
- 1:51:24Speaker 5: got a chance to meet his wife then, and he
- 1:51:27Speaker 5: was I remember him playing soccer with his wife at
- 1:51:29Speaker 5: prolific athletes. Like his mental was already ahead, like to
- 1:51:34Speaker 5: focusing on his his family, his journey. Like he wasn't
- 1:51:38Speaker 5: into all the things that I was into. He was
- 1:51:39Speaker 5: focused on like, Man, I got my family, I'm about
- 1:51:41Speaker 5: to have this opportunity. I'm a focus on that.
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:51:43Speaker 5: Man, I got this opportunit. I'm about to make the
- 1:51:45Speaker 5: most of them. Man, we got to win the super Bowl. Man,
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: I just won the championship. Man, it is unstoppable. And
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: it's the only person that beat me in my college career.
- 1:51:51Speaker 5: So I know I'm gonna be better than I'm focused
- 1:51:54Speaker 5: on that less But he's focusing from the like he's
- 1:51:57Speaker 5: focusing from more of a creative mindset.
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: It was like, I have my family, I have my gifts.
- 1:52:02Speaker 5: I'm gonna go on Steward that, and I'm gonna go
- 1:52:04Speaker 5: to I'm focused more from the competitive mindset, like I'm
- 1:52:06Speaker 5: gonna be better than you, I'm gonna be do I'm gonna.
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: Do this and that.
- 1:52:10Speaker 5: And you can never have the sense focus from the
- 1:52:12Speaker 5: competitive mindset, right. You have to remain creative because if
- 1:52:15Speaker 5: you're competitive, you focus on one thing and one thing open.
- 1:52:18Speaker 5: But when you create a you're able to adapt, you
- 1:52:21Speaker 5: able to uh make a transition when the transition is required.
- 1:52:25Speaker 6: It's such a breath of fresh air because you talk
- 1:52:27Speaker 6: to the normal thing with I'll just speak for football
- 1:52:30Speaker 6: players because what.
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: I remember is like.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: I got some special gifts.
- 1:52:36Speaker 6: You always sit there and you're like, yo, I got
- 1:52:38Speaker 6: to I had to shoop on my shoulder, and then
- 1:52:39Speaker 6: you sort of have success and you feel that chip
- 1:52:41Speaker 6: on your shoulder kind of going away. But then somebody
- 1:52:43Speaker 6: is drafted ahead of you, or somebody does what they say,
- 1:52:45Speaker 6: here's a better for me, a better tackle than me.
- 1:52:47Speaker 6: And it was like that's all I needed to replant
- 1:52:49Speaker 6: this this chip on my shoulder. So like did you
- 1:52:53Speaker 6: and Marcus ever like ten years later sit down and
- 1:52:55Speaker 6: be like, hey, I the way I approached the competition
- 1:52:57Speaker 6: between us, I favor the way you did it over
- 1:52:59Speaker 6: the way I like transparent conversation between.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: You know, we haven't had we haven't had our yearly
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: heart to heart yet.
- 1:53:07Speaker 10: I'm not doing that.
- 1:53:08Speaker 5: But uh but no, we what we had was just
- 1:53:11Speaker 5: a moment of grace, a moment of peace. I was like, man, Bro, like,
- 1:53:15Speaker 5: I'm grateful, you're still in the lead. And He's like, Bro,
- 1:53:18Speaker 5: I'm grateful, Like you're still in the lead.
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: Like, Bro, We we did it.
- 1:53:21Speaker 5: We live in our dream together. So no matter what
- 1:53:23Speaker 5: was our initial approach when we first started, we are
- 1:53:27Speaker 5: here now. So let's focus on what we're going to
- 1:53:29Speaker 5: do moving forward. And like and when he had this
- 1:53:32Speaker 5: great game and watching shot text when I had a
- 1:53:34Speaker 5: few good games, he shot me a text. And that
- 1:53:37Speaker 5: is a relationship that we never developed through the course
- 1:53:40Speaker 5: of ten years. But with maturity, with growth, with gratefulness
- 1:53:44Speaker 5: and understanding that man, it's bigger than me. I can't
- 1:53:47Speaker 5: let this, this this game get in between some of
- 1:53:51Speaker 5: the relationships and from the in some of the from
- 1:53:54Speaker 5: in front of the good people that I have in
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: my life.
- 1:53:57Speaker 12: Yeah, you're known for your speeches. When was the first
- 1:54:00Speaker 12: speech person we gave? How old were you Man, you
- 1:54:04Speaker 12: stood up. You're like, all right, I'm gonna go ahead
- 1:54:05Speaker 12: and do it. I'm gonna stand up in front of
- 1:54:06Speaker 12: this team and I'm gonna deliver something racing. I don't
- 1:54:09Speaker 12: know what it's gonna be, but I gotta say something.
- 1:54:11Speaker 5: Man, I always had something to say, so like that,
- 1:54:13Speaker 5: I've never been short winning the breath, you know. Like,
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: and I remember, like the best Tiger days. I'm like, man,
- 1:54:19Speaker 5: we're from going tear the hands off. Man, these boys
- 1:54:21Speaker 5: can't mess with us.
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: I remember the murder, murder, kill kill.
- 1:54:24Speaker 5: Guess what happened on the field. Best Tigers got crumped.
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: The other team got stumped, you know, Like that's just
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: that's just the way of the land. Like, I'm like,
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: y'alls over there, who are we? Yeah, let's rip that, y'ah,
- 1:54:47Speaker 5: no doubt we're gonna out bare crawl them today, and
- 1:54:52Speaker 5: we're thinking about we're kicking the door down.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: What y'all doing over there? You know, honestly, but.
- 1:55:00Speaker 5: But honestly, bro, Like, I feel like the Lord strew
- 1:55:04Speaker 5: with me with a voice, and I felt like early
- 1:55:07Speaker 5: on in my career that voice was taken away from
- 1:55:09Speaker 5: me because of my energy being put to trying to
- 1:55:12Speaker 5: prove to everybody who I was. And when you are
- 1:55:15Speaker 5: in a place of proving and constantly proving, you lose
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: sight of your true growth. You lose sight of that
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: true grace that you should give yourself. You lose sight
- 1:55:25Speaker 5: of who you truly are, because you so.
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: Immerse what someone else is thinking.
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: And like one thing I love about just about about
- 1:55:37Speaker 5: Jesus in general, like when I forget what chapter it was,
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: but I know. In Matthew six thirty three, he talks
- 1:55:44Speaker 5: about seeking first the kingdom of the Lord and all
- 1:55:46Speaker 5: his righteousness. When someone is asking him, like what two
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: things should I take with me to be able to
- 1:55:51Speaker 5: begin into heaven? And he says, first, seek first the
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: kingdo of God and all his rightousness, and all things
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: will be given to you. And the second thing, he says,
- 1:55:58Speaker 5: love thy neighbor as that I say. And when I
- 1:56:01Speaker 5: get to that point, obviously, like everything I do is
- 1:56:03Speaker 5: for my faith, My foundation is in the Lord. Or
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: when I get to love thy neighbor as thyself, when
- 1:56:08Speaker 5: I be speaking to young kids, I'd be like man,
- 1:56:11Speaker 5: he says, love the neighbors self. So if you're not
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: loving yourself, if you're not putting sweat equality and time
- 1:56:17Speaker 5: into yourself. You will not be able to physically love
- 1:56:20Speaker 5: your neighbor. You will not be able to physically serve
- 1:56:23Speaker 5: someone else if you're not focusing on what you can
- 1:56:26Speaker 5: do to be a solution for you. And that really
- 1:56:29Speaker 5: just sit with me, and it encourages me every single day,
- 1:56:33Speaker 5: Like when I'm me new people, when I'm talking to
- 1:56:35Speaker 5: my teammates, when I'm kissing my babies, is like, man,
- 1:56:39Speaker 5: I'm about to love my baby as I love myself.
- 1:56:42Speaker 5: But first I got to make sure that my proge
- 1:56:45Speaker 5: is straight. I gotta make sure that I'm doing things
- 1:56:47Speaker 5: an efficient way. I got to make sure that I'm
- 1:56:49Speaker 5: acting and not just saying. I got to make sure
- 1:56:52Speaker 5: that I'm doing all these things for me to be
- 1:56:56Speaker 5: able to be physically and mentally able to love someone
- 1:57:00Speaker 5: else and serve someone else in the capacity that I
- 1:57:02Speaker 5: may want to be served in.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: I know that's deep. You know what I'm saying, I'm
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: trying to hit y'all with Bible service, But it's just
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: a guy.
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: Right now.
- 1:57:11Speaker 12: It's a God in me, you know, always came natural,
- 1:57:14Speaker 12: Like whether it's you're you know, trying to rally the
- 1:57:16Speaker 12: troops in middle school, high school.
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: Has that always came natural to you?
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: It has?
- 1:57:20Speaker 5: It has always came natural. I've never been really lost
- 1:57:22Speaker 5: for words, man, and uh, and I'm grateful for that.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: My dad has.
- 1:57:27Speaker 5: Obviously, he's been my he's been my coach coming up,
- 1:57:30Speaker 5: and it was kind of a it was kind of
- 1:57:32Speaker 5: a way for me to get on some of my
- 1:57:35Speaker 5: teammates butts because it was always my fault, you know
- 1:57:38Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: Like he was always trying to hype me up and
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: like you need to do this, you need to do that.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: Like he stayed on me. He pushed me to that
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: maximum level. So I'm gonna push me.
- 1:57:48Speaker 5: I'm gonna push y'all ass because y'all don't understand what
- 1:57:50Speaker 5: I'm going through at home.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: Y'all, y'all, y'all, just y'all. Just at practice, y'all. Ain't y'all,
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: ain't y'all ain't end up blowing off some small cassetteations.
- 1:58:00Speaker 5: So your daddy for your daddy, because we got old
- 1:58:02Speaker 5: BC DHS cassette taste that we gotta put in a
- 1:58:05Speaker 5: little thing and then put it in the in the
- 1:58:07Speaker 5: in the BC R and then rewind it and we
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: send the watching tape of our little league games.
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: I'm like, Dad does does my uncle? May you gotta
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: record all our games?
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: Like yes, you're gonna watch this tap you about to
- 1:58:19Speaker 5: see what you did while you foot one right there
- 1:58:20Speaker 5: like that.
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: I'm trying to have fun.
- 1:58:24Speaker 6: So how old are you?
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: Man? I saw watching film when I was six years old.
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: Man's like, literally no, literally old VHS tapes. Man. My
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: dad pulling me in the back room like hey, man,
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: you're doing with your homework?
- 1:58:36Speaker 5: Yes, all right, come on in here, like literally, go
- 1:58:39Speaker 5: give me that little tape right there when they had
- 1:58:40Speaker 5: the liberty tapes, like the little cassette tape that you
- 1:58:42Speaker 5: will put inside the VHS because that like cord, the
- 1:58:48Speaker 5: little tap, put it in a little adapter and then
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: push it in there. Man, Like I was like, man,
- 1:58:53Speaker 5: and then you know, littly tastes my uncle may up there.
- 1:58:55Speaker 5: God is so like he's he just see me's going
- 1:58:58Speaker 5: to touch down the.
- 1:58:59Speaker 2: Film on go jabo, goo jabo. I'm going to touch
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: down over there. I'm like, Dad, what are I supposed
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: to be looking at?
- 1:59:04Speaker 6: Right here?
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: My shelf? I hit you in your mouth.
- 1:59:08Speaker 5: I'm just saying, honestly, it was a touchdown. You know
- 1:59:10Speaker 5: what I'm saying, I ain't about to touch down. You
- 1:59:12Speaker 5: can't get a touchdown until you got a first down.
- 1:59:13Speaker 5: Here did you get a first down? But I got
- 1:59:15Speaker 5: a touchdown? How many first downs? Was amount of yards
- 1:59:19Speaker 5: that I had.
- 1:59:19Speaker 2: To get a first down? But nah?
- 1:59:21Speaker 5: I created my dad for like really giving me that
- 1:59:24Speaker 5: voice man, because he was always encouraging me to one
- 1:59:28Speaker 5: be accountable with what I'm doing. And two, if you
- 1:59:31Speaker 5: see something, say something. If you feel something, say something,
- 1:59:35Speaker 5: don't just sit here look at me and tell me.
- 1:59:37Speaker 5: I was finna say this, but you know what, I
- 1:59:39Speaker 5: ain't want to say it because I thought you was
- 1:59:42Speaker 5: gonna get mad at me. Who does that help? You
- 1:59:44Speaker 5: don't have nobody?
- 1:59:45Speaker 6: That's a massive piece of advice, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:59:47Speaker 6: How do you deal with that? So six years old,
- 1:59:49Speaker 6: you're watching film like we all every I think every
- 1:59:53Speaker 6: human being goes to that rebellious face in their life.
- 1:59:55Speaker 6: Thirteen fourteen that Thestalstrem starts, it hit a little bit different.
- 1:59:57Speaker 6: You start focusing on girls a little bit more, You
- 1:59:59Speaker 6: start getting more rebellious towards your parents. How did you
- 2:00:02Speaker 6: handle Did you ever have a rebellious phase with your
- 2:00:05Speaker 6: father anybody, man.
- 2:00:08Speaker 5: One of the toughest times in my life was was
- 2:00:10Speaker 5: twenty nineteen, man, when I felt like I was growing
- 2:00:13Speaker 5: as a man, as an individual, but my dad was
- 2:00:17Speaker 5: going through some pains. I lost my grandmother, his mother
- 2:00:21Speaker 5: of the year before, and my uncle. My uncle died
- 2:00:26Speaker 5: on my birthday, you know, you know, it was just
- 2:00:29Speaker 5: an early phase of COVID on my birthday of twenty nineteen,
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: and it was tough for him.
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: And that was one of the first well he was.
- 2:00:38Speaker 2: He died the next year, but he was.
- 2:00:40Speaker 5: Balancing sicknesses and stuff, and it was tough for him.
- 2:00:42Speaker 5: And he decided I'm not gonna go to any of
- 2:00:44Speaker 5: your games. And like, I'm okay, okay, we if we
- 2:00:48Speaker 5: playing New York. You know what I'm saying. He don't
- 2:00:50Speaker 5: life flying. I get that, you know, but you know,
- 2:00:52Speaker 5: coming into my home games, he was like, no, I
- 2:00:55Speaker 5: just don't. I don't think so I don't think I
- 2:00:57Speaker 5: won't come to in of your games. And it was
- 2:00:58Speaker 5: the first time where like me and him was like
- 2:01:00Speaker 5: I'm like hold on now, like man, like this one
- 2:01:02Speaker 5: is my contract. Yere like too, like I need you
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: now more than ever you know what I'm saying, You've
- 2:01:07Speaker 5: been in my life. I'm fortunate to have a dad
- 2:01:09Speaker 5: in my life, and you decided not to come to
- 2:01:13Speaker 5: my games this whole time. I found out that my
- 2:01:15Speaker 5: uncle was sick after that, like he just was going
- 2:01:17Speaker 5: through it because because it's his mom and I've never
- 2:01:20Speaker 5: seen him in that way, And he didn't allow me
- 2:01:22Speaker 5: to see him in that way until I was down bad,
- 2:01:26Speaker 5: until you know, until I'm going into the Bucks facility
- 2:01:30Speaker 5: in the middle of COVID training my butt off, like
- 2:01:33Speaker 5: knowing that the world is shut down, but I see
- 2:01:36Speaker 5: signs of TB twelve being built in the middle of COVID.
- 2:01:40Speaker 5: I said, now, how in the hell aren't able to
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: build a TB twelve in the middle of COVID, and like,
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: and nothing is announced yet, but I'm going to the
- 2:01:48Speaker 5: facility still, like, man, I'm gonna get a chance to
- 2:01:50Speaker 5: work with Tom Brady. Oh my goodness, it is gonna
- 2:01:52Speaker 5: be amazing. And then breaking news Tom Brady has just
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And I'm just sitting
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: there like I knew that TV twelve there ain't don't
- 2:02:01Speaker 5: nothing to happen by coincidence, Like I'm sitting up getting my.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: Life and I'm going through it with my dad.
- 2:02:07Speaker 5: Like I've just been broken NFL record with thirty touches,
- 2:02:09Speaker 5: thirty three touchdown, thirty interceptions, Like I ain't nobody gonna
- 2:02:12Speaker 5: ever break that ever.
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: They just they're not confident enough.
- 2:02:16Speaker 5: But man, I just had this and at the same time,
- 2:02:20Speaker 5: like like me and my dad were going through it
- 2:02:23Speaker 5: because I'm like, man, like this is my biggest hit ever,
- 2:02:25Speaker 5: Like and you not that for me, but a little
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: bitter all Like man, I went, I wasn't dead for
- 2:02:29Speaker 5: you either, because and sometimes in African American communities, like yeah,
- 2:02:35Speaker 5: we have a dad present, but we're not consistently communicating
- 2:02:38Speaker 5: with our.
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: Father all the time.
- 2:02:39Speaker 5: It's through sports, it's through uh, it's through discipline. Where
- 2:02:44Speaker 5: we are communicating with our fathers. We never sit there
- 2:02:48Speaker 5: and have the quality time because our fathers are either
- 2:02:51Speaker 5: grinding or out to have just a heart to heart conversation,
- 2:02:55Speaker 5: you know. And I and that's why I take prior
- 2:02:57Speaker 5: of like sitting down at a table with my wife
- 2:02:59Speaker 5: and kids and saying like, man, if you could change
- 2:03:02Speaker 5: anything about the world today, or like what would you change,
- 2:03:05Speaker 5: Just giving them that authority that you can speak to
- 2:03:07Speaker 5: me about anything. I want to know what, like, what
- 2:03:10Speaker 5: impact are you willing to make into this world? And
- 2:03:13Speaker 5: I do believe that my relationship with my dad has
- 2:03:15Speaker 5: grown since that those two years, just because we actually
- 2:03:19Speaker 5: had to see each other both in downstages and we
- 2:03:23Speaker 5: didn't want either of us to be in that role,
- 2:03:26Speaker 5: but there was things that internally that we both was
- 2:03:28Speaker 5: facing that we had no choice but to confess and
- 2:03:31Speaker 5: come out with because.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: We both were in a down bad situation.
- 2:03:36Speaker 1: Question for you, is your dad? Oh?

- 2:04:42Speaker 12: in What's Uh? You got me curious now? Because obviously
- 2:04:45Speaker 12: your dad was hard on you in a great way.
- 2:04:47Speaker 12: I mean it led you to be the player that
- 2:04:49Speaker 12: you are, the man that you are. What are you
- 2:04:51Speaker 12: as you being a father?
- 2:04:52Speaker 10: Now?
- 2:04:53Speaker 12: Everything you've learned from being you know, fathered by your dad,
- 2:04:56Speaker 12: how do you approach fatherhood with your kids knowing like, okay,
- 2:05:00Speaker 12: they never did sit down and have the tough conversations
- 2:05:02Speaker 12: or have the vulnerabilities or when you're sitting at dinner
- 2:05:04Speaker 12: and everything else how has your dad raising you helped
- 2:05:08Speaker 12: you be the father that you are, whether it's I'm
- 2:05:10Speaker 12: gonna take the things that he taught me and also
- 2:05:12Speaker 12: I'm gonna do things a little bit differently, you know,
- 2:05:16Speaker 12: against the things that I feel like I did not
- 2:05:17Speaker 12: get for him from him as a kid.
- 2:05:19Speaker 5: Well, I'm so blessed and grateful that, uh the time
- 2:05:23Speaker 5: and the support that my wife gives me with my
- 2:05:27Speaker 5: with my children, of how on top of everything she is, Like,
- 2:05:31Speaker 5: I think it's truly a blessing when you have a
- 2:05:32Speaker 5: partner that's like down for you. And I'm lucky because
- 2:05:36Speaker 5: I met my baby when years in high school, like
- 2:05:39Speaker 5: we've been high school, sweetheart, we didn't went through everything
- 2:05:42Speaker 5: together like we didn't grow together, literally grew together like interest.
- 2:05:45Speaker 5: We didn't grew together, you know, we didn't have heartbreak,
- 2:05:48Speaker 5: we didn't have upsets. But man, when I view my
- 2:05:52Speaker 5: kids and I know I'm loving her and I'm willing
- 2:05:55Speaker 5: to sacrifice and provide and protect her when I'm looking
- 2:05:58Speaker 5: at my babies, I want my babies to do as
- 2:06:00Speaker 5: I do and not do as I say.
- 2:06:02Speaker 2: So when I'm with them, I'm intentional with my words.
- 2:06:05Speaker 5: I'm intentional with my actions because I want them to
- 2:06:07Speaker 5: be young men of action and right now like they
- 2:06:11Speaker 5: six and four. Anyway, so what I'm really saying, they
- 2:06:13Speaker 5: really probably not listen or hearing me. I know one
- 2:06:16Speaker 5: of them definitely not listening to hear me. But I
- 2:06:20Speaker 5: do it with simple things. I engage with them by
- 2:06:24Speaker 5: what they want, you know, because I want my babies
- 2:06:26Speaker 5: to know what they heart truly desires, because I know
- 2:06:29Speaker 5: I always knew, well honestly, I wanted to be a
- 2:06:32Speaker 5: foot doctor, but I always knew I wanted to be
- 2:06:34Speaker 5: an NFL Super Bowl winning quarterback.
- 2:06:37Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, playing Dodgers because.
- 2:06:39Speaker 5: Of the woman said your hobby who inspired me to
- 2:06:42Speaker 5: be a foot doctor because she was taking care of
- 2:06:43Speaker 5: my grandma feet and my dad feed So that's a
- 2:06:45Speaker 5: long story. But anyway, for my babies, man, I just
- 2:06:48Speaker 5: want them to do as I do and not do
- 2:06:50Speaker 5: as I say. Man, And I want to continue to
- 2:06:52Speaker 5: be this man of increase, and I want them to
- 2:06:54Speaker 5: see me encountering with other people and leading other people
- 2:06:58Speaker 5: so that they can know like, hey, this is this
- 2:07:00Speaker 5: is just what we do. This is this is this
- 2:07:03Speaker 5: ain't no facade, Like my daddy is the best daddy
- 2:07:06Speaker 5: in the world because of his actions, not because of
- 2:07:10Speaker 5: what he's saying, not because what he necessarily uh tell
- 2:07:14Speaker 5: me or write down in his journal. You know, I
- 2:07:16Speaker 5: think that's an important part too. I have, I got
- 2:07:19Speaker 5: my receipts, you know, I got I keep my journal,
- 2:07:21Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So when i'm right, write
- 2:07:23Speaker 5: stuff down, Like I'm like, I'm gonna read this. My
- 2:07:25Speaker 5: six year old son, he'll sit there and read what
- 2:07:27Speaker 5: I just said. So now we're doing tangible things like, man,
- 2:07:31Speaker 5: what you're writing that down for? Like I wrote down
- 2:07:33Speaker 5: I'm kind, I'm greatful, I'm confident, man, because I need
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: those affirmations just as much as you, my son, you know.
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: Okay, so you're.
- 2:07:40Speaker 5: Talking to yourself. I'm like, well, yes, I'm talking to myself.
- 2:07:43Speaker 5: But we have the ability to speak life into ourselves.
- 2:07:47Speaker 5: Like so, so you're still talking to yourself though, Daddy.
- 2:07:50Speaker 5: I'm like, but it's okay to talk to yourself. We
- 2:07:52Speaker 5: actually talk to ourselves more than anybody else. And he's like, okay,
- 2:07:58Speaker 5: and you don't understand the impact that you're making because
- 2:08:01Speaker 5: there's the processes break by brick.
- 2:08:03Speaker 6: Yes, it is, man, that is awesome. It is as
- 2:08:07Speaker 6: two guys with kids as well.
- 2:08:08Speaker 1: That's awesome to hear. You're doing everything. He's got boys.
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: I know, I know, I got girls.
- 2:08:14Speaker 1: I'm praying for two girls. Two girls. They're the best.
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: But you would love to the throne. Yeah, underneath one.
- 2:08:23Speaker 6: We gotta get you out here. So we have a
- 2:08:25Speaker 6: twisted question. Is obviously brought to you by Twisted T
- 2:08:27Speaker 6: five percent ABV non carbonated goes great at tailgates, you're
- 2:08:30Speaker 6: at the bar with your buddies or at somebody's basement. Happened,
- 2:08:32Speaker 6: a good time, goes down smooth, And for thirty touchdowns
- 2:08:34Speaker 6: and thirty interceptions.
- 2:08:35Speaker 2: No one will thirty three touchdowns, thirty three.
- 2:08:37Speaker 6: Touchdowns and thirty interceptions. This question is so tailored to you.
- 2:08:40Speaker 6: I hope you embrace it and you love it. It's halftime.
- 2:08:43Speaker 6: The three of us were down three scores. We got
- 2:08:46Speaker 6: to rally the troops. What are you saying to the
- 2:08:48Speaker 6: boys at halftime?
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: Coach looks.
