- 0:58Speaker 2: This is your brother, Mr. His Hop. Welcome back to
- 1:01Speaker 2: another episode of the His Hop Radio Podcast. I hope
- 1:05Speaker 2: y'all had a great Labor Day. I tell you what,
- 1:10Speaker 2: we got some rest. It was much needed. We got
- 1:14Speaker 2: a little active during the holidays. First, I want to
- 1:18Speaker 2: say that my son had his first football scrimmage. He
- 1:24Speaker 2: went out for the position of QB. We had a
- 1:28Speaker 2: little pool party with him and his teammates. And things
- 1:32Speaker 2: are moving forward for our little guy here. He's ever
- 1:37Speaker 2: since he was little, he wanted to play football. So
- 1:41Speaker 2: he's in the Pop Warner League. His team is the Cradles.
- 1:46Speaker 2: So if you want to come out and support and
- 1:49Speaker 2: check out the games and meet us out there. Look
- 1:54Speaker 2: up the Cradles, Pop Warner football team. We'd love to
- 1:58Speaker 2: have you guys out and chill with us on that.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Other than that, it was pretty chill, pretty relaxing. Hopefully
- 2:08Speaker 2: you guys spent some time with your family, enjoyed your
- 2:12Speaker 2: holiday and things like that. Well, this is Verse by
- 2:17Speaker 2: Verse presented by his Hot Radio Podcast Network and also
- 2:24Speaker 2: We are in chapter 21 of the book of Jeremiah.
- 2:30Speaker 2: We're just going to go through the first eight verses.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Just a little bit of background. We've been following Jeremiah
- 2:39Speaker 2: through some extremely difficult moments. He's been rejected. He's been beaten, mocked,
- 2:45Speaker 2: even threatened. And Jeremiah got a little discouraged. I can't
- 2:50Speaker 2: blame him. I think all of us would if we
- 2:53Speaker 2: were in his shoes. And now we're at the point
- 2:57Speaker 2: where the king is sending messengers to Jeremiah. He wants
- 3:04Speaker 2: to know what's going to happen. He noticed that there
- 3:07Speaker 2: is a battle. There is a war that is about
- 3:09Speaker 2: to take place. And so it's going to be pretty deep.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It's going to get deep on this episode. So let's
- 3:17Speaker 2: go before the Father in prayer. Oh, Heavenly Father, we
- 3:20Speaker 2: thank you, Father God, for another opportunity to study your word.
- 3:25Speaker 2: As we look at Jeremiah chapter 21, 1 through 8,
- 3:29Speaker 2: give us ears to hear what the Lord is saying.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Help us understand the difference between asking you to bless
- 3:40Speaker 2: our plans and actually surrendering our plans over to you, Father. Oh, God,
- 3:47Speaker 2: give us humble hearts. Oh, God, Lord, we humble ourselves. God,
- 3:51Speaker 2: help us respond to your correction instead of resisting it. Lord,
- 3:56Speaker 2: when we hear the word of the Lord for our lives.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And when you show us the way we need to go,
- 4:05Speaker 2: give us the courage to obey and to go those directions. Father,
- 4:10Speaker 2: we ask this in Jesus mighty name. Amen and amen. Alright,
- 4:22Speaker 2: so I'm excited. We're starting a whole new chapter. Chapter
- 4:27Speaker 2: 21 and verse 1 says, Word which came to Jeremiah
- 4:32Speaker 2: from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pasher.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Now remember, Pasher is the one who beat him and
- 4:40Speaker 2: put him in stocks. Pasher was the high priest. And
- 4:45Speaker 2: Pasher was one of the leaders in persecuting the prophet.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And he was a false prophet himself trying to comfort
- 4:53Speaker 2: the people with lies. Now, Pasher, the son of Meleshek
- 5:00Speaker 2: and Zedekiah, the son of Mashiach, the priest saying, please
- 5:08Speaker 2: inquire of the Lord for us. For Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon,
- 5:13Speaker 2: makes war against us. Now, this is not news. This
- 5:18Speaker 2: is old news. This is what Jeremiah has been saying
- 5:21Speaker 2: the whole time was going to happen. But the prophet
- 5:25Speaker 2: was telling the people that they were going to have
- 5:28Speaker 2: peace when it's actually war. So be careful of ministers
- 5:33Speaker 2: that will comfort you in a lifestyle of sin. Perhaps
- 5:38Speaker 2: the Lord will deal with us according to all his
- 5:42Speaker 2: wonderful works and that the king may go away from us. Amen.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That's pretty straightforward, but we're going to break it down
- 5:55Speaker 2: a little further, right? Now, the king wants Jeremiah to
- 6:02Speaker 2: ask the Lord whether God will perform a miracle. Of course,
- 6:07Speaker 2: they have a history, a rich history of God moving
- 6:11Speaker 2: for them. God has moved for other kings in the
- 6:14Speaker 2: Old Testament. David, for one, God has blessed David to
- 6:20Speaker 2: win every battle and things like that. One king that
- 6:25Speaker 2: I'm thinking about is Jehoshaphat, how God moved for him
- 6:29Speaker 2: and defeated the army that was coming against him. So
- 6:34Speaker 2: he wanted, Zedekiah wanted God to move for him like
- 6:39Speaker 2: he did For the kings of old, right? He wanted
- 6:46Speaker 2: King Nebuchadnezzar to leave Jerusalem. Now, let's think about what's
- 6:52Speaker 2: happening right here. The king knows Jeremiah is God's prophet.
- 6:58Speaker 2: The king knew that Jeremiah has been delivering God's word.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And now that Judah is in serious trouble, he wants
- 7:08Speaker 2: Jeremiah to go and ask God for help. Now, how
- 7:15Speaker 2: come he didn't ask? He said, Pastor, if you really
- 7:19Speaker 2: trusted in him, how come you didn't ask him all
- 7:22Speaker 2: these questions? Right now, his request right here. It shows
- 7:33Speaker 2: you how. desperate the king got in the desperation of
- 7:40Speaker 2: the leader, right? It shows his desperation. They wanted God's
- 7:45Speaker 2: intervention against Babylon, but they had not truly dealt with
- 7:51Speaker 2: the disobedience that had brought them this punishment. Ain't that
- 7:57Speaker 2: the human heart? We want to escape the consequences, but
- 8:02Speaker 2: you do not want to change our behavior. They were
- 8:07Speaker 2: looking for deliverance from the consequences without truly submitting to God. Now,
- 8:19Speaker 2: we really need to think about this. This is deep.
- 8:22Speaker 2: This is something to think about. Sometimes we pray, Lord,
- 8:26Speaker 2: get me out of this situation, but we don't pray, Lord,
- 8:30Speaker 2: show me what got me here. That That is good revelation, right? Now,
- 8:39Speaker 2: those are two separate prayers. We want God to remove
- 8:43Speaker 2: the consequences, but sometimes God wants us to examine the
- 8:48Speaker 2: choices that produced the consequences. What brought you here in
- 8:55Speaker 2: the first place? And they were just not willing to
- 9:00Speaker 2: do that. Let's go. Verse three and four. Then Jeremiah
- 9:08Speaker 2: said to them, thus you shall say to Zedekiah. Thus
- 9:14Speaker 2: says the Lord God of Israel, behold, I will turn
- 9:18Speaker 2: back the weapons of war that are in your hands.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Now that's scary. With which you fight against the king
- 9:27Speaker 2: of Babylon and the Chaldeans who besiege you besides the walls.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And I will assemble them in the midst of this city. Wow.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Let's break that down. That's pretty deep right here. So
- 9:50Speaker 2: Jeremiah responds to the king's messengers and the king's answer.
- 9:56Speaker 4: It looks like you lost another one.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Is not, oh, don't worry. I'm going to destroy Babylon.
- 10:04Speaker 2: There's going to be peace in the city. His other
- 10:08Speaker 2: prophets were prophesying that I'm going to take their weapons
- 10:12Speaker 2: and throw them away. No, that is not what he heard. Instead,
- 10:19Speaker 2: God says that he himself is going to fight against Jerusalem.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Now that right there was that I'd have been shaking
- 10:32Speaker 2: in my boots if I heard a prophecy like that, right?
- 10:39Speaker 2: Judah thought Babylon was the enemy, but God tells him
- 10:44Speaker 2: that because of your rebellions, He is opposing them in
- 10:50Speaker 2: this judgment. Now, let this be a reminder to us.
- 11:00Speaker 2: You don't want to spend your life fighting against God
- 11:05Speaker 2: while thinking you're only fighting against your consequences. We have
- 11:11Speaker 2: to really discern and determine everything. Are these consequences of
- 11:18Speaker 2: my own actions in which God allowed? Sometimes the biggest
- 11:24Speaker 2: problem isn't what's happening around you. The biggest problem is
- 11:30Speaker 2: what is going on between you and God? Are you
- 11:33Speaker 2: fighting with God? Have you become an enemy of God?
- 11:38Speaker 2: The Bible says friendship with the world is enmity with
- 11:42Speaker 2: God and the scripture says doesn't play around with this.
- 11:48Speaker 2: God tells us what's acceptable. God tells us what is
- 11:52Speaker 2: not acceptable. If we choose to live the life that
- 11:57Speaker 2: is not acceptable to God, you become his enemy. You
- 12:02Speaker 2: think that you're hating on Christians. You think you can
- 12:05Speaker 2: rewrite the Bible. You think you can change scriptures to
- 12:09Speaker 2: fit your lifestyle when in reality you You have become
- 12:14Speaker 2: an enemy of Almighty God. That's not good, beloved. All right.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Where are we at? Verse five. Verse five. I myself
- 12:36Speaker 2: will fight against you with an outstretched hand, with a
- 12:41Speaker 2: strong arm. Now, an outstretched hand and a strong arm
- 12:47Speaker 2: that is leading an army into battle. Even in anger
- 12:54Speaker 2: and fury and great wrath. Now, we have to learn.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I always say we have to learn about God's character. Right.
- 13:03Speaker 2: We have to learn the whole counsel of God. God
- 13:06Speaker 2: has anger. He has fury. And he has great wrath.
- 13:13Speaker 2: We're talking about the God who created the whole entire universe.
- 13:19Speaker 2: He created, look at, go outside tonight. Look at the stars.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Look at the moon. Look at this universe that God
- 13:28Speaker 2: has created. The same God who created this very planet
- 13:33Speaker 2: that we're standing on can get angry. Even more than angry,
- 13:40Speaker 2: he can become furious. And his wrath can become great.
- 13:49Speaker 2: How much more should we study his word and learn
- 13:53Speaker 2: his ways? Amen. He said, I myself will fight. Imagine
- 14:04Speaker 2: hearing this from God as the king of Judah. Judah
- 14:09Speaker 2: wanted God to fight for them and Instead, God says,
- 14:14Speaker 2: I'm fighting against you. And he gives us the reason why,
- 14:20Speaker 2: because they had continually rejected him, rejected his counsel. Are
- 14:25Speaker 2: we rejecting God on a continuous basis? Now, the tragic
- 14:32Speaker 2: reversal taking place here, Israel and Judah had historically been
- 14:39Speaker 2: depended upon the Lord to fight their enemies. But present
- 14:46Speaker 2: rebellion had replaced, I mean, had placed them under God's judgment. Now,
- 14:53Speaker 2: if you go through the book of Judges and you
- 14:55Speaker 2: go through their history, there is a history of God
- 14:59Speaker 2: fighting for them and delivering them and it became a
- 15:03Speaker 2: game to them. Now, the greatest need was not military.
- 15:09Speaker 2: victory in this situation. It was repentance and restoration before
- 15:14Speaker 2: the Lord, their God. Now, this is a powerful point
- 15:19Speaker 2: right here. We need to be careful about assuming that
- 15:23Speaker 2: because we call ourselves God's people, God automatically has to
- 15:29Speaker 2: bless everything we do. And I tell you, beloved, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: can tell you through experience, that's not true. God is
- 15:37Speaker 2: not obligated To bless disobedience. Being associated with God isn't
- 15:45Speaker 2: the same as walking with God. Amen. Just calling yourself
- 15:51Speaker 2: a Christian without living a lifestyle does not mean that
- 15:58Speaker 2: you know him.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Amen.
- 16:02Speaker 2: All right, let's go to first verse six. I will
- 16:10Speaker 2: strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast.
- 16:18Speaker 2: They shall die of a great pestilence. Wow, now that's
- 16:28Speaker 2: pretty straightforward right there. Now, God tells him that he
- 16:36Speaker 2: will strike the inhabitants of Jerusalem with a severe plague.
- 16:44Speaker 2: The people who thought they were protected inside the city
- 16:51Speaker 2: were not going to escape simply because they were inside Jerusalem. Now,
- 16:57Speaker 2: we know that inside the city back then, when they
- 17:01Speaker 2: would build a city, they would build walls around the
- 17:05Speaker 2: city and the walls, they felt protected and secure because
- 17:11Speaker 2: they had huge walls around the city to protect them
- 17:15Speaker 2: from an outside invading army. But even the walls that
- 17:21Speaker 2: they trusted in was not going to give them the
- 17:25Speaker 2: salvation they were looking for. See, sometimes we can put
- 17:32Speaker 2: confidence in the wrong things. We think I'm safe because
- 17:37Speaker 2: I'm in this building or I have this job or
- 17:41Speaker 2: I have money or I am connected with the right people.
- 17:47Speaker 2: But earthly security is temporary. Our ultimate security is doing
- 17:53Speaker 2: the will of God. God is our true safety. God
- 17:59Speaker 2: is our Only protection. Verse 8. Sometimes these verses escape me. No,
- 18:16Speaker 2: verse 7. Okay. And afterwards says the Lord, I will
- 18:20Speaker 2: deliver Zedekiah, king of Judah, his servants and the people
- 18:25Speaker 2: and such as are left in the city from the pestilence.
- 18:31Speaker 2: and the sword in the famine, and to the hand
- 18:35Speaker 2: of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and to the hand of
- 18:39Speaker 2: their enemies, and unto the hand of those who seek
- 18:43Speaker 2: their life. And he shall strike them with the edge
- 18:47Speaker 2: of the sword, and he shall not spare them or
- 18:52Speaker 2: have pity upon them.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Wow.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Now that's pretty deep. So God says that after the plague,
- 19:07Speaker 2: he will deliver Zedekiah, his servants, the people and those
- 19:12Speaker 2: who serve. I mean, those who survived the plague. He
- 19:17Speaker 2: will deliver them over to the sword and over to
- 19:20Speaker 2: the hand of Nebuchadnezzar. This is the answer Zedekiah did
- 19:26Speaker 2: not want to hear. He wanted God to rescue Jerusalem.
- 19:32Speaker 2: God tells him. that Jerusalem is going to experience judgment.
- 19:39Speaker 2: At this point, it's inevitable. This judgment is not going
- 19:44Speaker 2: to be turned away from the nation. Now, the lesson
- 19:49Speaker 2: here about hearing God's word, even when we don't like
- 19:54Speaker 2: the answer, we don't get to choose which part of
- 19:57Speaker 2: scripture that we accept. We don't get to say, oh,
- 20:03Speaker 2: this is good and that is bad. We can't say,
- 20:08Speaker 2: I'll take this promise, but I don't want this correction.
- 20:15Speaker 2: God's word contains encouragement. It also contains warnings. It contains blessings.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It also contains consequences. And we need to read and
- 20:30Speaker 2: we need to understand all of it. We need to
- 20:35Speaker 2: understand it and we need to be diligent students of
- 20:37Speaker 2: it because beloved. Once we truly understand it, we can
- 20:44Speaker 2: avoid the judgment parts, right? We can correct our lives.
- 20:48Speaker 2: The Bible gives us a promise that if we correct ourselves,
- 20:52Speaker 2: God will not have to correct us. If we judge ourselves,
- 20:56Speaker 2: then God will not have to judge us. Amen. Verse eight,
- 21:01Speaker 2: now you shall say to this people, thus says the Lord, behold,
- 21:06Speaker 2: I set before you the way of life, The way
- 21:10Speaker 2: of death. Does that sound familiar? That sounds like the
- 21:17Speaker 2: Garden of Eden, right? I set before you the way
- 21:23Speaker 2: of life. The way of death. Now, this right here
- 21:27Speaker 2: is a key verse. God tells Jerusalem to tell the people.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I mean, God tells Jeremiah. To tell the people, behold,
- 21:39Speaker 2: I set before you the way of life and the
- 21:43Speaker 2: way of death. This is the choice. Now, God gives
- 21:48Speaker 2: him a path, even though he has great anger, great
- 21:52Speaker 2: fury and great wrath that is rising up in him.
- 21:56Speaker 2: The pity and the mercy of God still gives them
- 21:59Speaker 2: a choice, even to this point, even with Nebuchadnezzar outside
- 22:03Speaker 2: the walls. marching against them there is a way and
- 22:12Speaker 2: he gave them a choice he's telling Judah if you
- 22:22Speaker 2: surrender to Babylon that would preserve their lives right let
- 22:30Speaker 2: me see I didn't read that I'm going to go
- 22:33Speaker 2: ahead and I was going to stop at eight, but
- 22:35Speaker 2: this is good. Verse nine. And who remains in this
- 22:39Speaker 2: city shall die by the sword, by famine and by pestilence.
- 22:44Speaker 2: But he who goes out in defects to the Chaldeans
- 22:49Speaker 2: who besiege you, he shall live. And his life shall
- 22:54Speaker 2: be as a prize to him. Well, his life shall
- 22:59Speaker 2: be as a prize. This is the way out. This
- 23:03Speaker 2: is the way of salvation. This is their ark. Right?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Just like Noah built an ark, God will give us
- 23:12Speaker 2: an ark even in the midst of judgment. For I
- 23:17Speaker 2: have set my face against this city for adversity and
- 23:21Speaker 2: not for good, says the Lord. It shall be given
- 23:24Speaker 2: unto the hand of the king of Babylon, and he
- 23:28Speaker 2: shall burn it with fire. Now, this is deep. Now,
- 23:35Speaker 2: what's shocking is that God will give us the choice
- 23:39Speaker 2: of life and death. And so many people will choose death.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I hear people criticize and I even wonder myself like, man,
- 23:51Speaker 2: why did Adam eat the fruit? If Adam didn't eat
- 23:55Speaker 2: the fruit, a lot of this would have been avoided.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Not one soul would have went to hell. If Adam
- 24:02Speaker 2: would have been obedient. Right. At least that is the understanding.
- 24:10Speaker 2: But the truth is. God gives us the option. Of
- 24:15Speaker 2: life and death. On a daily basis. What are people choosing.
- 24:20Speaker 2: And when you choose. Contrary to God's word. You're choosing death.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But when you choose. To be obedient. And obey God's word.
- 24:32Speaker 2: You are choosing life. And this is the way God
- 24:38Speaker 2: deals with humanity. God has given us this choice all
- 24:43Speaker 2: the way through history. God has given us free will,
- 24:47Speaker 2: but it's up to us to choose. Are we going
- 24:53Speaker 2: to choose life or are we going to choose death?
- 24:58Speaker 2: Sometimes surrender means is the way of life. Don't wait
- 25:04Speaker 2: until you're in trouble to seek God. You need to
- 25:10Speaker 2: seek God before the crisis hits. And don't ask God
- 25:14Speaker 2: to bless disobedience. Ask Him to change your heart. God's
- 25:23Speaker 2: answer may not be the answer you wanted, but His
- 25:28Speaker 2: answer is still trustworthy It will come to pass. And
- 25:35Speaker 2: also religious identity doesn't replace obedience. Calling yourself a believer
- 25:40Speaker 2: is not enough. There are consequences to our choices. And
- 25:49Speaker 2: God's warning are meant to protect us when he warns us, right?
- 25:58Speaker 2: And sometimes surrender is the way forward. Judah wanted victory.
- 26:03Speaker 2: But God told them to surrender to their enemies. And
- 26:08Speaker 2: that is the only way that their life would be spared. Amen. Now,
- 26:18Speaker 2: if the king would have just surrendered and brought the
- 26:21Speaker 2: entire city out, he probably would have saved everyone if
- 26:27Speaker 2: he would have taken heed to the word of the prophets.
- 26:34Speaker 2: All right, let's take a break.
- 26:36Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 26:40Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I've been up, I've been down, I've been up, I've
- 26:49Speaker 3: been down, right?
- 26:52Speaker 5: But no matter where I go, you will never let
- 26:55Speaker 5: me down, right?
- 26:58Speaker 3: I've been up, I've been down, I've been up, I've
- 27:00Speaker 3: been down, right?
- 27:02Speaker 5: Yeah, but no matter where I go, you'll never let
- 27:06Speaker 5: me down, right? High field being the one that's tapped into.
- 27:11Speaker 3: The plug, right?
- 27:12Speaker 5: I ain't talking to you in street code. I'm just
- 27:16Speaker 5: talking to you like heroes. Standing so tall, I don't
- 27:19Speaker 5: see foes. Under pressure, this really free throws. Meaning the
- 27:24Speaker 5: easiest shots, the hardest to take.
- 27:25Speaker 3: When you got thoughts on your brain, they try to
- 27:27Speaker 3: tell you you can't.
- 27:29Speaker 5: But I know I can. This is not my plan.
- 27:32Speaker 5: I really see God's hands. Like, be patient. Slow motion
- 27:35Speaker 5: is motion.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Don't be anxious. God got it.
- 27:38Speaker 2: We coasting.
- 27:39Speaker 5: If he don't tell me to move, then I'm posting.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Hold our head to the sky. We not hopeless.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I've been up. I've been down. I've been up. I've
- 27:49Speaker 3: been down, right?
- 27:52Speaker 5: But no matter where I go, you will never let
- 27:54Speaker 5: me down, right?
- 27:57Speaker 3: I've been up. I've been down. Yeah, but no.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Matter where I go, you'll never let me down, right?
- 28:06Speaker 3: That's why I'm confident. That's why I can't forget.
- 28:11Speaker 5: I would go to sleep on my brother's couch, dreaming
- 28:13Speaker 5: about this, working day and night with everything to make
- 28:15Speaker 5: it exist. Fast forward, I've been made it, but I'm
- 28:18Speaker 5: still here stressing, thinking, God, I know you here, but
- 28:20Speaker 5: did you run out of blessings? Hey, the stakes is
- 28:23Speaker 5: high like daylight. Hey, I sometimes forget that it's not
- 28:26Speaker 5: I that holds the World on its axis, faith is
- 28:29Speaker 5: a practice. That mean the wins and the losses create balance.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Be patient, slow motion is motion. Don't be anxious, God
- 28:37Speaker 5: got it, we coasting. If you don't tell me to move,
- 28:40Speaker 5: then I'm posting. Hold our head to the sky, we
- 28:43Speaker 5: not hopeless. I've been up, I've been down, I've been up,
- 28:48Speaker 5: I've been down, right?
- 28:51Speaker 3: But no matter where I go, you will never let
- 28:53Speaker 3: me down, right? You are listening to The Light of
- 28:58Speaker 3: Las Vegas.
- 29:25Speaker 4: This is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 29:44Speaker 2: All right, beloved, we are back. That is our brother,
- 29:47Speaker 2: Derek Minor on the musical break up and down. Check
- 29:53Speaker 2: him out. He's got some high heat for you. I
- 29:57Speaker 2: want to give a huge shout out to the live chat.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I want to thank everyone who has logged in. Shout
- 30:05Speaker 2: out to my brother Zone 3, my brother Corinth. Everyone
- 30:09Speaker 2: who's logged in and everyone who has taken time out
- 30:13Speaker 2: just to show us some love. We show y'all some
- 30:15Speaker 2: love back. And also, I don't know if you guys
- 30:19Speaker 2: realize this, but we do have a prayer room. We
- 30:22Speaker 2: have a prayer ministry here on the radio station. Now,
- 30:26Speaker 2: if you go to the website, hishopnation.com. When you scroll
- 30:31Speaker 2: down on the homepage, you will see the His Hop
- 30:34Speaker 2: Radio logo. Click on that. That takes you to the
- 30:38Speaker 2: actual radio page. And on that, there is, if you
- 30:44Speaker 2: scroll down a little bit, there is a prayer request
- 30:46Speaker 2: where you can submit your request and also a prayer
- 30:50Speaker 2: room where you can enter in, submit your request. And
- 30:53Speaker 2: also what I like about the prayer room is that
- 30:56Speaker 2: when the prayer is answered, you can Notify us that
- 31:01Speaker 2: the prayer has been answered. And then at that point,
- 31:03Speaker 2: we could worship and praise God with you. You see
- 31:07Speaker 2: God move. And there's a little area where we could
- 31:10Speaker 2: chat and just praise God and talk about all his
- 31:13Speaker 2: great and wonderful works. And with that being said, we
- 31:17Speaker 2: do have a prayer request that came through. The first
- 31:21Speaker 2: one that is actually came through on the radio station. Amen.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Amen.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Every little step, right? I praise God for it came
- 31:31Speaker 2: from Kay. And the request is for C just to
- 31:35Speaker 2: pray for her mouth. So let's pray right now. Father,
- 31:38Speaker 2: we just ask for healing. We ask Father God that
- 31:42Speaker 2: you know who Kay is. You know who C is.
- 31:45Speaker 2: And we don't know what's going on with her mouth.
- 31:49Speaker 2: We don't know if she is speaking in a way
- 31:52Speaker 2: that is not honoring to you or if it's a
- 31:55Speaker 2: health issue issue. that they're dealing with. We don't know specifically,
- 32:02Speaker 2: but you know. And we ask, O God, for healing.
- 32:05Speaker 2: We ask for your will to be done, O God,
- 32:08Speaker 2: concerning her mouth. We ask that you will touch that family, Lord,
- 32:11Speaker 2: draw them closer to you. We ask, O God, that
- 32:14Speaker 2: you will send your angels, O God, Lord, that darkness
- 32:17Speaker 2: will be defeated in that situation and that Jesus will
- 32:21Speaker 2: be glorified. Amen.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Amen.
- 32:25Speaker 2: So please, if you have a prayer request, submit them
- 32:28Speaker 2: to us. We would love to assist you in that.
- 32:31Speaker 2: That brings us to our accountability partner segment. This is
- 32:35Speaker 2: where we encourage each other to stay on the straight
- 32:39Speaker 2: and narrow path. The Bible says that is narrow. The
- 32:42Speaker 2: path is narrow. That leads to life. And there are
- 32:45Speaker 2: a few who find it. And so this is the
- 32:48Speaker 2: narrow path podcast. It's a tongue twister right there, right?
- 32:53Speaker 2: We want to keep y'all on the narrow path. You know,
- 32:55Speaker 2: we don't want anyone to go astray because broad is
- 32:59Speaker 2: a road that leads to destruction. And there are many
- 33:02Speaker 2: who go by that. As we see in today's episode,
- 33:05Speaker 2: it doesn't pay to rebel against God and his word.
- 33:12Speaker 2: So we give you a challenge on the podcast. Call
- 33:16Speaker 2: your accountability partner, text or email. Just stay in contact
- 33:20Speaker 2: with them. And this will be a good topic for
- 33:23Speaker 2: you to talk about. And you also see this in
- 33:26Speaker 2: the community. We are in the live chat, but also
- 33:31Speaker 2: we're in the community. Oh, and by the way, log
- 33:33Speaker 2: into the live chat as you download the His Hot
- 33:36Speaker 2: Radio app, H-I-S-H-O-P on all platforms. And then go to
- 33:41Speaker 2: the top left menu, hit that drop down, click on
- 33:44Speaker 2: live chat, click the register button that gets you into
- 33:48Speaker 2: the live chat. And also you do the same Just
- 33:52Speaker 2: scroll down to where you see community in the bar
- 33:55Speaker 2: in the menu and you can log into our community.
- 33:58Speaker 2: And the community is where we can do a little more.
- 34:01Speaker 2: We can upload video and pictures and do a little
- 34:04Speaker 2: more in our community. So we're utilizing both. But right now,
- 34:08Speaker 2: if you're in a live chat, hop over to the
- 34:10Speaker 2: community so that you can see the accountability partner challenge
- 34:15Speaker 2: for today. Ask your accountability partner, am I asking God
- 34:20Speaker 2: to fix a situation that I may actually need to
- 34:25Speaker 2: surrender to him? Talk about it honestly. Maybe there's something
- 34:31Speaker 2: that you've been trying to control. Maybe you're asking God
- 34:36Speaker 2: to change another person. Maybe you're asking God to remove
- 34:41Speaker 2: a consequence. Then ask yourself, What would surrender look like
- 34:50Speaker 2: for me in this situation? Does God want me to
- 34:54Speaker 2: surrender and not escape consequences? That is a good question. Amen. Also,
- 35:10Speaker 2: we want to let you know that His Heart Radio
- 35:11Speaker 2: is a monitored and a reporting radio station. Submit your music.
- 35:17Speaker 2: We would love to get you the exposure. You can
- 35:21Speaker 2: advertise on our app. You can advertise on our radio station,
- 35:24Speaker 2: our website, and our email blast and our push notifications
- 35:30Speaker 2: on our app itself. There's a lot of ways you
- 35:33Speaker 2: can do it. Look up our promos on the website,
- 35:36Speaker 2: his hot nation.com. And even on the app, his hot
- 35:40Speaker 2: radio and all platforms. And you will be able to
- 35:47Speaker 2: to check out all the services that we offer and
- 35:51Speaker 2: it's all affordable all right at this time it's time
- 36:00Speaker 2: for our trivia i want to give a huge shout
- 36:03Speaker 2: out to our brother zone three he is our trivia
- 36:07Speaker 2: champion he has been raining For a long time. Are
- 36:13Speaker 2: there any challengers out there. That are willing to step
- 36:16Speaker 2: up to the challenge. Head on over to the community.
- 36:20Speaker 2: So that you can. Be a contender. Alright. So the trivia.
- 36:28Speaker 2: The way it works. Is the first person. To answer
- 36:31Speaker 2: the question correctly. Is the trivia champ for today. So
- 36:36Speaker 2: we give you a question. Sometimes it's about. episode we
- 36:40Speaker 2: just went through or it could be something else. But
- 36:44Speaker 2: once you get the answer and you know you have it,
- 36:46Speaker 2: post it, be the first to post and you'll be
- 36:50Speaker 2: the champion for today. So the question for today is
- 36:53Speaker 2: what two choices did the Lord say he was setting
- 36:57Speaker 2: before the people of Jerusalem? He gave them two choices.
- 37:03Speaker 2: What two choices did Did the Lord say he was
- 37:08Speaker 2: setting before the people of Jerusalem? So you got to
- 37:13Speaker 2: give us both choices. You got to be the first
- 37:18Speaker 2: one to answer that to become the trivia champion. And
- 37:27Speaker 2: while you guys are doing that, I also want to
- 37:30Speaker 2: give a community shout out real quick. We just had
- 37:35Speaker 2: a great event at the Resort World. It was a
- 37:39Speaker 2: blessed opportunity to serve in that capacity. We have another
- 37:43Speaker 2: event coming up at Doolittle going down this Saturday, September 12th.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Doolittle.
- 37:51Speaker 2: If you're from Vegas, you should know what that is.
- 37:55Speaker 2: The historical west side. Uh, I'll be providing the music
- 38:01Speaker 2: is going to be an outside event. We're going to
- 38:03Speaker 2: be giving to the community, supporting the community in so
- 38:07Speaker 2: many ways. We've passed out a little over 200 flyers
- 38:14Speaker 2: in that area. So if you are available, you're around
- 38:17Speaker 2: that area, you know where Mario's Market is over there
- 38:21Speaker 2: by Martin Luther King in Lake Mead over there. Meet
- 38:27Speaker 2: us in the Doolittle Park. as we jam out for
- 38:32Speaker 2: the community. Also, we are starting our planning stages of
- 38:37Speaker 2: our Christmas event this year. This year, we are looking
- 38:41Speaker 2: to have even more toys. We're doing a toy drive
- 38:46Speaker 2: for the community. This year, we are looking to give
- 38:51Speaker 2: out prizes and love on our community. We are working
- 38:55Speaker 2: once again with our partners, Metro Police Department. We got
- 39:00Speaker 2: other community leaders that we are working with. So if
- 39:03Speaker 2: you make sure you guys go to our website and
- 39:06Speaker 2: get signed up for that so that you can let
- 39:12Speaker 2: you know. Actually, we're going to send out sign up
- 39:15Speaker 2: on our email blast as well so that you can
- 39:18Speaker 2: get notified and so that you can start signing up.
- 39:22Speaker 2: We're probably going to start signups early this year and
- 39:27Speaker 2: we want to get you in there so that you can.
- 39:30Speaker 2: start to get information on where we're going to have it.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Like I say, we're looking forward where we have other organizations.
- 39:41Speaker 2: So there's going to be even more toys. We're looking
- 39:43Speaker 2: for a venue to have it at. And we're working
- 39:48Speaker 2: with some amazing partners. So you don't want to miss
- 39:51Speaker 2: this year's toy drive event. Our Christ mess event. This
- 39:58Speaker 2: will be our fifth annual. All right, beloved. And also
- 40:10Speaker 2: we just want you to know, we got some great
- 40:12Speaker 2: things on the app, some new features, check out our
- 40:15Speaker 2: prayer room, check out our, we have the Bible on
- 40:17Speaker 2: the app. And we even have a place where you
- 40:19Speaker 2: can take notes. If you're sitting in Bible study or
- 40:23Speaker 2: church and it'll save the notes for you. It's like
- 40:25Speaker 2: a little journal. Uh, you can go back to it.
- 40:28Speaker 2: You can, uh, put the date in the teacher, the
- 40:32Speaker 2: ministry that was that, um, you know, that you visited
- 40:36Speaker 2: or your home church, you could put all that info
- 40:38Speaker 2: and save your notes. There's some functions on the app.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I like to highlight for people to, to utilize and
- 40:47Speaker 2: just to help you guys. Just like we said earlier,
- 40:49Speaker 2: we do have a prayer room and a prayer request
- 40:53Speaker 2: on the website. And we got our first prayer request
- 40:57Speaker 2: that came through. So we appreciate y'all. We appreciate the growth. Also,
- 41:04Speaker 2: we want to let you know, I do have another
- 41:05Speaker 2: episode on YouTube. I do go on YouTube and I
- 41:09Speaker 2: have a podcast there. If you look us up, His
- 41:12Speaker 2: Homination on YouTube, you would be able to find me.
- 41:17Speaker 2: This one is we're talking about mainstream artists who are
- 41:21Speaker 2: now praising God in their concerts, in their services. So
- 41:27Speaker 2: it's pretty interesting podcast. Like, subscribe and share. Let us know.
- 41:33Speaker 2: And also, I have questions about some chat, some live
- 41:40Speaker 2: chat questions, because that podcast is more like a debate
- 41:45Speaker 2: and questions. We go back and forth. So if you
- 41:47Speaker 2: go to the community and just scroll down a little bit,
- 41:50Speaker 2: some of those some of that information is coming from
- 41:53Speaker 2: the YouTube version of the podcast. Also, we want to
- 42:01Speaker 2: let you know that His Hot Radio is a... What?
- 42:05Speaker 2: We're monitored? I mentioned that we are monitored. Yeah, I
- 42:08Speaker 2: mentioned that. Okay, we are 501c3. Excuse me. Now you
- 42:12Speaker 2: know this ain't AI, right? Because I have to think
- 42:15Speaker 2: about all the segments here. This is live. I'm a
- 42:18Speaker 2: real person. Sometimes I forget where we're at. But anyway,
- 42:23Speaker 2: we are 501c3. We are a public charity. We started
- 42:28Speaker 2: Club His Hot. Back in 2012, we opened up a 5,000
- 42:33Speaker 2: square foot warehouse. We turned it into a venue, into
- 42:37Speaker 2: a concert hall. And we did Christian hip hop events
- 42:43Speaker 2: every month for seven years. We missed one month because
- 42:49Speaker 2: it fell on Valentine's Day and we wanted to stay married.
- 42:53Speaker 2: So we had to skip an event that year, but
- 42:56Speaker 2: we were pretty faithful. to do events and concerts. We
- 43:00Speaker 2: believe the community could definitely use a venue like that.
- 43:04Speaker 2: It was a public, open to the public. We just
- 43:07Speaker 2: wanted the youth and young adults to experience a good
- 43:11Speaker 2: time of music and of ministry. So if you'd like
- 43:16Speaker 2: to support us, if you believe in the vision, it
- 43:18Speaker 2: takes finances. That's why we became a nonprofit so that
- 43:22Speaker 2: if you would like to donate, support, and give, you
- 43:25Speaker 2: can write it off on your taxes at Go to hishopnation.com.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Our goal is to raise a hundred grand. You can
- 43:34Speaker 2: see our goal bar on the website towards the bottom. And, uh,
- 43:38Speaker 2: I want to thank everyone who has donated so far,
- 43:41Speaker 2: but we are far away from the grant, uh, from
- 43:44Speaker 2: our goal. But yes, our goal is to raise at
- 43:49Speaker 2: least a hundred grand, uh, this year. And also, uh,
- 43:56Speaker 2: Our goal is to relaunch and reopen the venue. So
- 44:01Speaker 2: if you'd like to support us in that prayerfully, consider
- 44:06Speaker 2: becoming a monthly partner. However, you can give $ 5, $ 2,
- 44:12Speaker 2: $ 3 a month. It's great. We're even looking for grants
- 44:16Speaker 2: and grant writers.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Amen.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Amen.
- 44:27Speaker 2: All right, beloved. Well, that is my time for today.
- 44:31Speaker 2: As we close Jeremiah, we start verse 21 through eight.
- 44:40Speaker 2: It's a difficult, but it's a powerful lesson. Zedekiah wanted
- 44:43Speaker 2: God to rescue Jerusalem. The king wanted God to intervene.
- 44:49Speaker 2: He wanted a miracle from the Lord. He wanted God
- 44:55Speaker 2: to defeat Babylon, but God told Judah something that they
- 45:03Speaker 2: did not want to hear. He told them that they
- 45:06Speaker 2: need to surrender to their enemies. And then at that point,
- 45:12Speaker 2: he gave them the choice, the way of life or
- 45:16Speaker 2: the way of death. Now, that is a part that
- 45:22Speaker 2: I really want to take away. I want us to
- 45:25Speaker 2: take this home today. Sometimes we think faith means asking
- 45:29Speaker 2: God to make everything go the way that we want.
- 45:33Speaker 2: The real faith sometimes means that, Lord, even when your
- 45:39Speaker 2: answer isn't what I wanted, I will obey you. Amen.
- 45:44Speaker 2: That is how we surrender. We surrender faith. But that
- 45:51Speaker 2: doesn't mean that we're losing once we surrender. We may
- 45:54Speaker 2: be losing our will, but we're gaining the will of God.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Sometimes surrender is exactly how God brings us into the
- 46:02Speaker 2: place where he wants us to be. So today, let's
- 46:06Speaker 2: examine our hearts today. Is there something that we are
- 46:11Speaker 2: fighting that God is asking us to surrender? Is there
- 46:15Speaker 2: something that we're holding on? Is there something that we're
- 46:18Speaker 2: trying to control? You know, control is an illusion anyway, right?
- 46:22Speaker 2: Is there something we're asking God to bless that he
- 46:27Speaker 2: may actually be asking you to release? Do not be
- 46:33Speaker 2: afraid to surrender. God's way leads to life every time.
- 46:38Speaker 2: So let's stay in his word. Let's stay humble. Let's
- 46:40Speaker 2: stay teachable. And most importantly, choose God's way. Amen. Amen.
- 46:48Speaker 2: That's my time, beloved. And remember, it's not about us.
- 46:53Speaker 2: It's all about the Christ in us.
- 47:09Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 47:12Speaker 4: is the His Hop Radio Show.
