- 0:00Speaker 1: Temptation is something that affects all of us. And people
- 0:03Speaker 1: who don't say that are full of baloney. So I
- 0:06Speaker 1: just think you need to, you know, talk to the sun,
- 0:10Speaker 1: cut it off, just say, Hey, this is crazy. And
- 0:13Speaker 1: then get back to your honeymoon phase.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I'm wondering if the fact that the,
- 0:19Speaker 2: you know, this is your husband's son, if that's actually
- 0:22Speaker 2: part of the attraction.
- 0:28Speaker 3: We are here. It's Therapy Thursday. We have a special
- 0:31Speaker 3: celebrity guest today. Let's say hello and a big warm
- 0:34Speaker 3: welcome to Stephen Baldwin. Stephen Baldwin, you have... Such a
- 0:42Speaker 3: full body of work and you're a Baldwin and you've
- 0:46Speaker 3: been married for 35 years plus.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And here on our podcast. Thank you.
- 0:50Speaker 1: And it is my extreme privilege to be here. Dr. K.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Thanks for making us laugh.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Oh, I'm having a good time.
- 0:58Speaker 3: You have a podcast yourself.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I do. I have a podcast called One Bad Movie
- 1:03Speaker 1: on YouTube, and it's on iHeart as well. One Bad Movie,
- 1:06Speaker 1: where I interview actors about their bad movies.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I love that.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Not their good ones.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And sure enough, we're 85 clips on YouTube episodes in,
- 1:16Speaker 1: and I've done like 30 interviews. And I did Michael
- 1:20Speaker 1: Madsen before he passed away, gave a great interview, talked
- 1:23Speaker 1: about working with Al Pacino and Bronson Pinchot, and the
- 1:28Speaker 1: current episode is Tori Spelling.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Who has a show right here on iHeart.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Uh-huh, she does.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I shouldn't even say this, but the third installment of
- 1:39Speaker 1: her interview just went up. And in the middle of
- 1:42Speaker 1: the conversation, I'm talking to her, and I said, oh,
- 1:45Speaker 1: you know, I did this movie called Threesome. And it
- 1:47Speaker 1: was me and Laura Flynn Boyle. And she goes, oh.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And I go, are you okay? She goes, I really
- 1:54Speaker 1: can't talk about that movie. And I'm like, was everything okay?
- 1:57Speaker 1: She's like, well, you know, like there was a couple
- 2:00Speaker 1: of scenes in there and she's like, I can't, can
- 2:02Speaker 1: I say something? Can I really say what she said
- 2:05Speaker 1: right now? Yes.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:07Speaker 1: She goes, well, you know, like when I think about
- 2:09Speaker 1: that movie, you know, it makes me want to squirt.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:12Speaker 3: She said that on your broadcast?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:15Speaker 5: And I'm like, hon, pump your brakes. Oh my God.
- 2:19Speaker 5: And then she said something even crazier.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Oh, come on.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Like what? Go on.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You gotta do it. I'm not saying it.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Come on, we can bleep it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: What does queef mean? Oh, God. I don't even know
- 2:30Speaker 1: what it means, and she said it. Doctor.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Brian knows everything.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I don't even know what queef means.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna defer to Ron.
- 2:42Speaker 6: You know, like, when you expel air out of an orifice,
- 2:46Speaker 6: that would be from the front.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Oh.
- 2:49Speaker 1: But we can't do that, right? We can't.
- 2:52Speaker 4: We can't fart from our penises.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:53Speaker 7: No.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Wow. We're off the rails. Ellen's lost it right now.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Look at her. She's shutting down. So God bless Tori Spelling.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Wow. Did she forget she's Tori Spelling?
- 3:05Speaker 5: She said squirt and queef all the way through. Welcome
- 3:09Speaker 5: to One Bad Movie Podcast, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And I love her, but I love her for.
- 3:15Speaker 1: That being unfiltered. You know, she just says it. And I,
- 3:20Speaker 1: you know, literally in the interview, I'm like, Are you okay?
- 3:22Speaker 1: And she's like, no, I'm doing fine now that I
- 3:24Speaker 1: got it all out.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Are you okay?
- 3:28Speaker 1: She's fabulous. She's fabulous.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, good. One bad movie with Stephen Baldwin. Since
- 3:34Speaker 3: you have been married for 35 plus years, maybe you
- 3:38Speaker 3: could help us with therapy. I know we have our
- 3:40Speaker 3: licensed therapist, Sarah Dash.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Hello.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Hi, Sarah.
- 3:44Speaker 3: That'd be nice to get your viewpoint because it's not
- 3:46Speaker 3: easy to do what you've done in Hollywood and you're
- 3:49Speaker 3: doing it.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Well, I'm very fortunate. I married a gorgeous gal from Brazil.
- 3:56Speaker 3: She is so pretty.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I met her on the Crosstown 79th Street bus in
- 4:00Speaker 1: New York City when I was working at a pizzeria
- 4:02Speaker 1: on the Upper West Side. And she was a student
- 4:05Speaker 1: at Parsons.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Okay. School of Design. Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And she had like this portfolio and she was dressed nice.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And I'm like, whoa. So, you know, I'm from Massapequa.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I thought she was a model, but she was an
- 4:18Speaker 1: art student.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And I met her on the bus. I went up.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I was like, how are you doing? I mean, I
- 4:23Speaker 1: was my, you know, typical kind of John Travolta, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: back in the day. But I only like really prepared
- 4:31Speaker 1: like the hello, how you doing part. I didn't expect
- 4:34Speaker 1: her to be, like, nice and sweet and down to earth.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So kind of the day I met her was like
- 4:40Speaker 1: a bolt of lightning kind of thing. Oh, I love that.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Love at first sight.
- 4:43Speaker 1: No, it was mental.
- 4:44Speaker 3: For both of you.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Well, here's what happened.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Oh.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I met her.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And she had a boyfriend.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And three– no. I thought so. But three weeks later,
- 4:54Speaker 1: she said, there's something I have to tell you. I said–
- 4:58Speaker 1: You have a boyfriend. She's like, no, but the day
- 5:02Speaker 1: we met wasn't the first time I saw you on
- 5:04Speaker 1: that bus. She goes, I saw you three weeks earlier
- 5:08Speaker 1: and I thought you were cute. So she stayed on
- 5:12Speaker 1: the bus because she saw me like checking her out
- 5:15Speaker 1: and waited to see if I would say hello. How
- 5:18Speaker 1: do I not marry her? Oh, man. And she's like
- 5:21Speaker 1: a Brazilian Audrey Hepburn.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Oh, my God. And you've built such a beautiful family. Yes, ma'am.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And babies and grandbabies. And oh, my God.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Totally.
- 5:30Speaker 3: That is meant to be. That's meant to be. Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But now she's crazy. You know what I mean? To
- 5:36Speaker 1: still be with me is kind of like, who knows?
- 5:39Speaker 1: But see how we're laughing?
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:41Speaker 1: This is how the marriage works.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Oh, I love it.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Every day I just say the dumbest possible thing.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Really?
- 5:47Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah. She's like, oh, I'm, you know, making
- 5:49Speaker 1: some sourdough. I'm like, I got your sourdough. She's like,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you're an idiot. I'm like, well, you love me. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: she's like, oh my God, let's go make out.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That's the secret, right?
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's cute.
- 5:59Speaker 3: One of the secrets, I guess.
- 6:00Speaker 1: What they say, making fun of each other is one
- 6:03Speaker 1: of the smart things to do.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I have to tell you a little story about you,
- 6:06Speaker 3: Stephen Baldwin. So we did a TV pilot together years ago,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and I was working with Ryan Seacrest at the time,
- 6:13Speaker 3: and this dentist, William Dorfman, who you know, he's a
- 6:16Speaker 3: celebrity dentist.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Love him.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And he's written books, and he's very successful. He's invented products.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So he had me host a panel called Four Men.
- 6:24Speaker 3: It was the number four men for women. And you
- 6:27Speaker 3: were on the panel. We had a rehearsal day. So
- 6:30Speaker 3: at the rehearsal day, all Stephen did— after the cameras
- 6:34Speaker 3: were off was just, you just roasted everybody.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Equal roasting, but hilarious roasting. And we just all ended
- 6:44Speaker 3: up laughing and Bill was getting upset. He's like, you guys,
- 6:47Speaker 3: we have to be serious. We're filming tomorrow. And Steven's
- 6:51Speaker 3: just like, yeah, okay. And we had a great time. Yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But he did, the dentist said to each of us
- 7:01Speaker 3: on the panel, and we all have good teeth, he said,
- 7:04Speaker 3: you guys, do you mind if we come in for
- 7:06Speaker 3: some whitening before we film this? He wanted to whiten
- 7:09Speaker 3: everybody's teeth.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But he's brilliant.
- 7:12Speaker 3: He's brilliant.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And he's very successful.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, yeah. What happened to that pilot?
- 7:16Speaker 2: Um.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You want to go? You want to go, girl? You
- 7:23Speaker 1: go ahead. No, I think it was one of those things,
- 7:25Speaker 1: independently produced, that I just, unless you have the right showrunner,
- 7:32Speaker 1: the right people that know how to dial in that format,
- 7:36Speaker 1: it's hard to get it right.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and there were tons of talk shows. daytime talk
- 7:41Speaker 3: shows at that time. So we're competing with the bigs.
- 7:45Speaker 3: But I thought it was a great show. It was
- 7:47Speaker 3: really fun. But I just remember you were teasing. You
- 7:48Speaker 3: teased a lot.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Trying to do a male talk show produced by a dentist.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It's kind of strange.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Love you, Bill, but it's kind of hard to do.
- 8:01Speaker 3: You see what I mean? So it was all like that.
- 8:03Speaker 3: So I really enjoyed working with you that day. And
- 8:06Speaker 3: then I did Hollywood Squares once for charity and Alec
- 8:09Speaker 3: Baldwin's right.
- 8:10Speaker 1: There, Center Square.
- 8:12Speaker 3: He gave me a massive hint.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Oh, he helped you? Oh, yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Cheating. Because it was for charity.
- 8:18Speaker 3: It wasn't the real thing.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It was, yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yeah, so that was fun.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Speaking of charity, your mom has one, yes?
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yes, let's talk about breast cancer.
- 8:27Speaker 1: So today is National Breast Cancer Research Day.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And my mom's organization called now the Baldwin Fund, which
- 8:37Speaker 1: Alec and I do with my sister Elizabeth up in Syracuse,
- 8:39Speaker 1: New York, is where the headquarters is. But one of
- 8:42Speaker 1: the things we give like these $ 50, 000 grants out every
- 8:46Speaker 1: year to do research. One of those grants just came
- 8:50Speaker 1: back with a discovery. which is if a woman has
- 8:54Speaker 1: a lump, you do a biopsy. And you can tell
- 8:58Speaker 1: from the biopsy whether or not maybe there's the potential
- 9:02Speaker 1: for whether it's going to metastasize. So it's going to
- 9:06Speaker 1: go to your lymphatic system if it's going to get worse.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So this research we just did with this one doctor
- 9:12Speaker 1: kind of came back with the revelation, so to speak,
- 9:16Speaker 1: that this doctor figured out if you mix the woman's
- 9:19Speaker 1: saliva with the sample, it'll tell almost 100% if it
- 9:24Speaker 1: will or won't metastasize. So now you can identify for sure,
- 9:28Speaker 1: much more accurately, who you have to focus on to
- 9:31Speaker 1: be careful with and who you don't. So that's kind
- 9:33Speaker 1: of a big breakthrough.
- 9:35Speaker 3: That's huge.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And it's all because of my mom's vision for the
- 9:38Speaker 1: Baldwin Fund.
- 9:39Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Good stuff.
- 9:41Speaker 7: Very good stuff.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Really good stuff. Tell us, it's called the Baldwin Foundation?
- 9:45Speaker 1: Thebaldwinfund.org.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And yeah, today's breast cancer awareness research, and we're loving that.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Since you have a successful marriage and family, we thought
- 9:57Speaker 3: maybe you could help us and Sarah with the research.
- 10:00Speaker 3: therapy Thursday.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Love it.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You're the perfect person to weigh in.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Okay, so let's go to, who do we have first?
- 10:08Speaker 4: Lulu's on 11.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Okay, Lulu.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Lulu, you're on with licensed therapist Sarah Dash, and also
- 10:14Speaker 3: we have a special celebrity surprise for you here. Stephen
- 10:16Speaker 3: Baldwin is here.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Oh, boy. Who's Stephen Baldwin?
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yes, very exciting. He's a friend of the show. He's
- 10:25Speaker 3: an FOS.
- 10:28Speaker 7: FOS, wonderful. Well, okay. So maybe I'm a little embarrassed
- 10:34Speaker 7: talking about my issue in front of Stephen Baldwin, but okay.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Well, let me give you just some background. He has
- 10:41Speaker 3: a very successful marriage, 35 years, beautiful wife. They laugh together.
- 10:46Speaker 3: He's built a gorgeous family. Uh, everyone's thriving. So yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 3: so he's, I think he's well qualified to, uh, and
- 10:53Speaker 3: he won't embarrass you at all.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm an expert in what not to do.
- 10:56Speaker 7: Okay.
- 10:57Speaker 3: And that too. Okay.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Because this might be one of those cases. Um, so
- 11:03Speaker 7: I'm 42, my husband, Rafi is 60 and we've been
- 11:08Speaker 7: married a year and I love him, you know, um,
- 11:12Speaker 7: Not for his money or because I was panicked about
- 11:15Speaker 7: being alone or anything like that, but because he's so
- 11:17Speaker 7: steady and kind and he's exactly what I needed after
- 11:21Speaker 7: my divorce. So Rafi's son, Jordan, is 39 and he's
- 11:28Speaker 7: divorced as well. He has no kids and he is
- 11:32Speaker 7: so charismatic, this guy. He cooks, he paints, he's a
- 11:36Speaker 7: former boxer. He loves rom-coms and reading. I mean, how
- 11:40Speaker 7: do you find all of that in one person? And
- 11:44Speaker 7: he started coming around more this past year, just like
- 11:48Speaker 7: to help with the house and he would join us
- 11:50Speaker 7: for dinner and just, you know, to check on his dad.
- 11:54Speaker 7: And somewhere in there, I just started kind of noticing him,
- 12:02Speaker 7: I guess. You know, he's just, he's so handsome and
- 12:06Speaker 7: he has just such a great laugh. And he looks
- 12:09Speaker 7: at me a little too long and I know he's
- 12:12Speaker 7: kind of flirting with me.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Wait, so this is your husband's adult son?
- 12:17Speaker 4: He's your stepson.
- 12:18Speaker 3: He's your stepson, technically.
- 12:20Speaker 7: Technically my stepson who's three years younger than I am.
- 12:26Speaker 7: So here's my dilemma. So this weekend he invited me
- 12:31Speaker 7: to Topgolf. While his dad is out of town.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Your husband is out of town and his son wants
- 12:37Speaker 3: you to go to Topgolf.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Yeah. And I'm excited about it. And, but I'm also
- 12:43Speaker 7: hesitant about it, you know, being alone with him because
- 12:47Speaker 7: I'm attracted to him and just, am I just such
- 12:50Speaker 7: a terrible person for feeling this way? And is he
- 12:54Speaker 7: a horrible son? I mean, what is happening? You know, well, I'm,
- 12:58Speaker 7: I'm worried that I settled for security. We've been married
- 13:01Speaker 7: a year.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Well, Lulu, I think that's probably your biggest question is
- 13:06Speaker 2: that you're asking if you married Rafi out of security
- 13:10Speaker 2: rather than passion, love, genuine attachment. And look, attraction is
- 13:16Speaker 2: not betrayal. But the important thing is what we do
- 13:19Speaker 2: with that attraction. And I'm not sure that going to
- 13:24Speaker 2: Topgolf is really going to serve you. I think it's
- 13:28Speaker 2: one of those things where people convince themselves that nothing
- 13:32Speaker 2: is happening. But then you're deliberately creating a scenario where
- 13:36Speaker 2: something could take place that you might deeply, deeply regret.
- 13:40Speaker 3: What would you do, Stephen Baldwin?
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'd start with some putt-putt.
- 13:43Speaker 4: But that's just me.
- 13:46Speaker 1: No, I think, listen, it's like Sarah said, you know,
- 13:51Speaker 1: attraction's normal. You know, my brother Billy married Chyna Phillips
- 13:58Speaker 1: from Wilson Phillips. She's gorgeous. Alec Baldwin married, you know,
- 14:03Speaker 1: Kim Basinger. And his current wife, Ilaria, is gorgeous, you know?
- 14:09Speaker 1: So I think... You just have to be disciplined and
- 14:14Speaker 1: you have to really just make the decision. There's certain
- 14:17Speaker 1: lines you're not going to cross because you wouldn't want
- 14:21Speaker 1: to make a decision in the future that kind of
- 14:23Speaker 1: ruins Rafi and like crushes him and destroys him. You'll
- 14:27Speaker 1: feel bad about that.
- 14:29Speaker 3: And what about the son? Like, why is the son
- 14:31Speaker 3: making advances? That's what worries me.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I mean, I find that fascinating.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I just want to know, how healthy is the marriage now?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Is the sex life happening? Is she bored?
- 14:43Speaker 4: Can you explain that? Can you answer, Stephen?
- 14:45Speaker 6: Yeah, no.
- 14:46Speaker 7: Everything's good. I mean, we've only been married a year.
- 14:49Speaker 7: We're still kind of in the honeymoon phase, you know?
- 14:52Speaker 4: Something's missing then, I think. I don't know, right?
- 14:55Speaker 3: Something's turning you on by this.
- 14:56Speaker 1: She's looking for a little danger.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's true, right?
- 15:00Speaker 1: She really can't have a throuple.
- 15:01Speaker 6: That would not work.
- 15:08Speaker 7: Part of me thinks that, you know, my husband is
- 15:12Speaker 7: older than I am. I mean, not so much older,
- 15:15Speaker 7: but older. And I just, I feel like my life
- 15:20Speaker 7: now is a little more stayed shall we say than
- 15:23Speaker 7: it used to be and i.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Don't know i mean do you feel like prior to
- 15:29Speaker 2: marriage your life had more vitality because i'm kind of
- 15:32Speaker 2: hearing you describe rafi in terms of security and then
- 15:36Speaker 2: jordan in terms of excitement and vitality does that resonate
- 15:41Speaker 2: at all.
- 15:43Speaker 7: Yes okay yeah okay i.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Think you need to take your husband to vegas and
- 15:50Speaker 1: have a little fun yeah yeah But then, you know, oddly,
- 15:56Speaker 1: if the stars are not aligned for you and your
- 15:59Speaker 1: current husband in the future, then if it doesn't work out,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you can hang out with the son later. But I
- 16:07Speaker 1: think really, you know, the weird thing people don't consider
- 16:11Speaker 1: these days is, and I'm not trying to make you
- 16:13Speaker 1: feel bad. I'm just saying, like, what if this happened
- 16:15Speaker 1: to you? What if your husband came to you and went, hey,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you know, I'm dating your sister? You'd be, like, devastated.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, it would be terrible. So should I should
- 16:23Speaker 7: I then should I not go to Topgolf?
- 16:26Speaker 6: I'm pretty, pretty certain the consensus is not going. I
- 16:29Speaker 6: don't think there's any benefit, like Sarah said. Also, have
- 16:32Speaker 6: you thought this through? Like, I think that's another thing.
- 16:35Speaker 3: What's the end?
- 16:37Speaker 4: You know, like what happens next? Let's say you and
- 16:39Speaker 4: the son hit it off.
- 16:41Speaker 1: OK, then what? Then what?
- 16:42Speaker 4: Are you going over to Christmas at your ex at
- 16:44Speaker 4: your now his dad's?
- 16:47Speaker 7: You're right. You're right. And obviously, I didn't really think
- 16:49Speaker 7: it through. I mean, that's what I'm calling you guys.
- 16:51Speaker 7: You know what I mean? Good. Thank you for being
- 16:54Speaker 7: the voice of reason because I need, like, a slap
- 16:58Speaker 7: upside the head, I think.
- 16:59Speaker 1: But it's– listen, it's not wrong of you to get
- 17:03Speaker 1: a little nervous about the whole thing.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Temptation is something that affects all of us. And people
- 17:09Speaker 1: who don't say that are full of baloney. So I
- 17:12Speaker 1: just think you need to, you know, talk to the sun,
- 17:16Speaker 1: cut it off, just say, Hey, this is crazy. And
- 17:19Speaker 1: then get back to your honeymoon phase.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I'm wondering if the fact that the,
- 17:25Speaker 2: you know, this is your husband's son, if that's actually
- 17:29Speaker 2: part of the attraction because it's forbidden, it's exciting. I mean,
- 17:34Speaker 2: do you think, I mean, When you're looking at your marriage,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you also want to take Jordan out of the picture.
- 17:39Speaker 2: And you want to look at your marriage as it
- 17:41Speaker 2: is rather than evaluating it based on a third person.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Right. Right.
- 17:49Speaker 7: You're right.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I mean, I.
- 17:52Speaker 7: Feel like such a jerk right now.
- 17:54Speaker 1: No, but you're not.
- 17:55Speaker 3: You're not. Look, you're working it out.
- 17:59Speaker 1: It's pretty normal to be attracted.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Attraction is completely normal. It's what we do with
- 18:04Speaker 2: that attraction that becomes the question.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Is there a type of person in your practice, Sarah,
- 18:10Speaker 3: who goes for the forbidden, whatever it is, attraction?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I think you see people that are more,
- 18:19Speaker 2: I don't know, I guess dopamine sensitive.
- 18:22Speaker 1: This is Hollywood. This kid.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Nine out of ten people are getting down in this town.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Please. Yeah, okay. Nine out of ten. That's a high stat.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I mean, Lulu, what you don't want to do is
- 18:40Speaker 2: place yourself in situations where you're relying on willpower to
- 18:44Speaker 2: help you maintain a boundary. You just want to avoid
- 18:47Speaker 2: those situations entirely, if at all possible.
- 18:51Speaker 3: So remove the ice cream from the freezer.
- 18:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 4: If it's not there, you can't eat it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Go dairy free.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Listen, Lulu.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Lulu. I'm going to have, like, yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Has anything come close to happening with you two? Or
- 19:06Speaker 6: is this all just kind of living in your head
- 19:08Speaker 6: right now? Like, have you been alone? Has it been
- 19:11Speaker 6: like a moment where you're like, oh, God, what just happened?
- 19:14Speaker 3: No, no.
- 19:15Speaker 7: I'm in my, I'm living in my head. But I,
- 19:18Speaker 7: like I told you, he, I know, he was flirting
- 19:23Speaker 7: with me, you know?
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 4: You know, I think, you know, do men know as well? Steven,
- 19:28Speaker 4: would you say men know when women are flirting with
- 19:30Speaker 4: us or do they know?
- 19:32Speaker 1: Well, you know, I only look stupid. I'm 60 years
- 19:38Speaker 1: old and I probably, I have to, I know what,
- 19:43Speaker 1: here's a good, like, you know, a suggestion too, which
- 19:46Speaker 1: is I just say stuff to my wife again, not
- 19:49Speaker 1: to make her feel, jealous. I'll say, hon, I just
- 19:52Speaker 1: went to a fundraiser. I had like three different women
- 19:55Speaker 1: that were in their 70s kind of going, hmm, baby Baldwin, yummy, yummy,
- 20:02Speaker 1: what's up? And it's so the temptation, and it's not
- 20:07Speaker 1: for me, it's not like I'm going, Hey, let's go
- 20:08Speaker 1: in a broom closet. It's not even about that. It's just,
- 20:12Speaker 1: it's complimentary for somebody to say, Hey, you look good.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And it's flattering.
- 20:17Speaker 2: And it's a way of maintaining transparency in your marriage.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely. It makes my wife, you know, kind of
- 20:24Speaker 1: step up a little bit.
- 20:28Speaker 2: She knows what she has, which.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I think for this young lady is great. I wasn't kidding.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Go to Vegas, get a room, put on some lingerie,
- 20:37Speaker 1: have some more fun.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:39Speaker 7: Well, thank you so much. I really appreciate the advice.
- 20:42Speaker 7: But don't feel bad.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Don't feel bad about it. It's human.
- 20:48Speaker 7: Okay. Okay. Thank you. I'm going to try to remember
- 20:52Speaker 7: that because I think right now I'm coming down a
- 20:54Speaker 7: little hard on myself, but I hear you. Thank you.
- 20:58Speaker 1: You got it.
- 21:00Speaker 3: No Topgolf this weekend.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, no.
- 21:03Speaker 6: But if you do go, they have a version of
- 21:06Speaker 6: Angry Birds where you can knock over the.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It's so fun. If you do go.
- 21:11Speaker 7: I'm not going to go.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Good.
- 21:13Speaker 3: All right, Lulu.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Thanks, Lulu.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Okay, bye.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Interesting, huh?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I think she wants it.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Well, I think she doesn't.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Hmm.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But now the fact that she kind of let herself
- 21:30Speaker 1: go there a little bit.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. She's kind of fantasizing.
- 21:32Speaker 1: There's kind of condemnation now. She's kind of beating herself
- 21:35Speaker 1: up because you're like, oh, the husband's probably a good guy.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But she doesn't understand this is normal. She's probably scrolling
- 21:43Speaker 1: on the internet, getting all these messages about freedom and
- 21:48Speaker 1: do what you want and act upon what you feel.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But that's the message. It's true.
- 21:52Speaker 3: She wants to justify if she takes the action.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And we don't know how hard the son's kind of
- 21:57Speaker 1: sweating her.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 1: He could be really going, hey, what's up?
- 22:01Speaker 2: And she also doesn't even really know him romantically. I mean,
- 22:05Speaker 2: the son's a fantasy at this point. Right. And she's
- 22:07Speaker 2: risking a lot for something that's not even real. Right. Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 4: And the damage it does to that whole unit.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Absolutely. Oh, quiet, angry birds. You just be quiet.
