- 1:21Speaker 6: What's going on with you, Peyton?
- 1:23Speaker 2: So I have kind of been on my thrifting kick lately,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and I'm really obsessing over this one specific goodwill that
- 1:33Speaker 2: I go to, but it's on a side of town
- 1:35Speaker 2: that I'm usually never on, So anytime I do find
- 1:38Speaker 2: myself on this side of town, I have.
- 1:40Speaker 7: To go to this goodwill.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Like it's not a want, it's a need, Like I
- 1:44Speaker 2: need this to fulfill my life. And I went the
- 1:48Speaker 2: other day and I didn't get any luck on the clothes,
- 1:51Speaker 2: because I feel like there's just some Instagram batty that
- 1:53Speaker 2: lives in that area that drops off all her clothes
- 1:55Speaker 2: to Goodwill and I usually fall upon that lot.
- 1:58Speaker 7: But no luck on the clothes. But I found my
- 2:01Speaker 7: way over in like the little book.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Section on Goodwill, and I found two books that were
- 2:06Speaker 2: on my want to read list, and I got it
- 2:08Speaker 2: for less than five dollars score.
- 2:10Speaker 1: That's amazing, incredible.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I got the book We Were Liars, which I know
- 2:17Speaker 2: is a show.
- 2:18Speaker 6: It's a really good show.
- 2:19Speaker 7: I couldn't get into it. When I watched So Dark,
- 2:24Speaker 7: that twist was like, I remember, tell you watch it.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm really excited. That's going to be a treat. And
- 2:30Speaker 2: then I have where the crowdat scene on.
- 2:32Speaker 6: Their I watched that movie I thought was lame.
- 2:38Speaker 1: What's her friend's name? Her best friend that screwed it up?
- 2:41Speaker 1: His name is like Frogger or something.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Hasn't read the book yet.
- 2:45Speaker 7: I haven't read it.
- 2:45Speaker 8: It's on the want to read.
- 2:47Speaker 7: That's so cool.
- 2:48Speaker 6: I think who was in that movie that made a
- 2:50Speaker 6: big deal out of it?
- 2:50Speaker 2: I think it was Harry Styles right or something.
- 2:55Speaker 7: The girl or something like one of them.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Wait, wait, no, no, what's the.
- 2:59Speaker 7: Name of the book where the craw dad sing?
- 3:02Speaker 6: Yeah, no, it's somebody else. It was a big movie.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I was so obsessed with that movie. So you can't
- 3:06Speaker 3: remember who the star wars? I can't remember who? Would
- 3:08Speaker 3: you want to really say? It's so obsessed?
- 3:09Speaker 1: Then yeah, well, I mean we talked about it a
- 3:11Speaker 1: lot on the ship.
- 3:11Speaker 6: I remember the I don't remember. No, I was not.
- 3:16Speaker 8: It was like a big, huge name.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Olivia Newman was that, that's the director, It's Newman, Daisy
- 3:22Speaker 2: Edgar Jones, really, Jojo Regina.
- 3:25Speaker 6: There was something about that.
- 3:26Speaker 8: Harris Dickinson, that's it, Taylor john Smith.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Oh, I was thinking of the don't I was thinking
- 3:32Speaker 2: of don't worry Darling with the hairstyles.
- 3:34Speaker 8: Yeah, No, thrifting could be like there.
- 3:37Speaker 5: I happened upon a reel on Instagram just the other
- 3:41Speaker 5: day of this guy who was like he found this
- 3:43Speaker 5: like clutch. It might have been at a good will
- 3:46Speaker 5: or another thrift store, and he was doing one of
- 3:48Speaker 5: those things where they were like telling him how much
- 3:50Speaker 5: it was worth. And it turned out that it was
- 3:52Speaker 5: actually like an old vintage Cardier clutch and was like
- 3:57Speaker 5: could be auctioned off for like sixty thousand dollars something
- 4:00Speaker 5: like that.
- 4:00Speaker 8: He paid a dollar fifty.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I only had one thrifting incident where somebody's like, I
- 4:07Speaker 2: want what you have and I found it was these
- 4:09Speaker 2: pair of jeans and I think they were from like
- 4:10Speaker 2: the sixties or the seventies or something, because the way
- 4:13Speaker 2: that the tag was. I had the wash instructions for one,
- 4:15Speaker 2: it just like looked really like old imaging and just
- 4:19Speaker 2: the style of the jeans. I'm in the line of
- 4:21Speaker 2: the Goodwill and the lady goes, I'll buy those for
- 4:23Speaker 2: eighty bucks off of you right now, and I was like, what, No,
- 4:26Speaker 2: these are mine.
- 4:27Speaker 7: I got them for like five I found them.
- 4:31Speaker 8: Turn it around the time I did.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I wanted the gens you turn it around like without
- 4:35Speaker 1: investing anybody.
- 4:36Speaker 5: But wouldn't that make you want to investigate them? Like
- 4:38Speaker 5: how much are they actually worth? Because what does she
- 4:40Speaker 5: know that I don't know?
- 4:41Speaker 7: And I did.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I looked them up because there's like a couple of
- 4:43Speaker 2: pairs like on Poshmart, and I think they're going for
- 4:45Speaker 2: like one forty, which is like a nice pair.
- 4:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Look what's on the news right now? We are so
- 4:50Speaker 3: top of it. Back thrift stores. They're live at the
- 4:54Speaker 3: thrift store.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I feel like they were.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Live literally thrift store. Talk about back to school. While
- 5:00Speaker 3: we're talking about my son Christopher want to go for supplies?
- 5:04Speaker 3: Was a thrift store to get old stuff?
- 5:06Speaker 6: Okay, so I'm a I like thrift store stuff.
- 5:08Speaker 3: In fact, I have a bunch of my stuff that's
- 5:10Speaker 3: that's for sale at it's my sister's closet, but it's
- 5:13Speaker 3: called something else well suited.
- 5:14Speaker 6: That's where my stuff, A lot of my stuff is.
- 5:16Speaker 6: And I like.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I like when I can borrow something from a friend
- 5:20Speaker 3: or a friend gives me something. I don't like new clothes.
- 5:23Speaker 3: But now this is what just happened to me. I
- 5:26Speaker 3: kind of remember, I'm going currently going through a hiking phase.
- 5:28Speaker 3: When the weather's nice, I like to go hiking with
- 5:30Speaker 3: this buddy of mine. And I bought these hiking shoes
- 5:32Speaker 3: because I googled, I have high arches, what's a good shoe?
- 5:36Speaker 3: And I got I found this one shoe and the
- 5:38Speaker 3: brand was New Balance, and I love that. And I
- 5:41Speaker 3: hiked for a year or so and they started getting
- 5:43Speaker 3: beat up and torn up, and I tried to find
- 5:44Speaker 3: the newer version of it. I couldn't the same version,
- 5:47Speaker 3: So I bought the newer version of the shoe, and
- 5:49Speaker 3: it's it sucks they changed it, right? Why didn't they
- 5:52Speaker 3: do that?
- 5:52Speaker 6: So I was like, damn it.
- 5:54Speaker 3: So I was sitting there bored online one day and
- 5:56Speaker 3: I was like, I wonder if I could find just
- 5:58Speaker 3: one of the like stock acts or something has it.
- 6:00Speaker 6: So I found my shoe on the I can't remember
- 6:03Speaker 6: the bummers. I can't remember what apple was on.
- 6:06Speaker 3: But I bought the shoe and they came in the
- 6:07Speaker 3: mail and they were wrapped in plastic, and I was
- 6:09Speaker 3: like sweet. So I'm going away to go a couple
- 6:13Speaker 3: of days. I'm going to go on a hike with
- 6:15Speaker 3: some friends. So I'm we're in a cooler area. I'm like,
- 6:17Speaker 3: I better try on these shoes. And they're wrapped them plastic.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So I get the shoes out and I rip up
- 6:22Speaker 3: in the plastic and they look a little different because
- 6:26Speaker 3: they're used.
- 6:27Speaker 6: They had like dirt on them and stuff.
- 6:29Speaker 8: The sentime.
- 6:31Speaker 6: I didn't know of buying used shoes. Now, I don't
- 6:34Speaker 6: have a problem.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Like I said, I like thrifting, but I was mentally
- 6:37Speaker 3: prepared for a new shoe right And and then when
- 6:40Speaker 3: I put them on, they were so comfortable, and they
- 6:42Speaker 3: were like broken.
- 6:43Speaker 6: It was like there's dirt on the bottom, there's dirt
- 6:46Speaker 6: on the side. Yeah, And I was like what, I
- 6:49Speaker 6: think they attempted to clean them, but they didn't take them.
- 6:52Speaker 6: But I didn't know I was buying a used shoe.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Like you're going hiking, we have he spoke to these
- 6:56Speaker 1: for your hiking.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I'm sittter thinking, I hope I paid a low for them.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I don't remember what I paid. I just know I
- 7:01Speaker 3: wanted the shoes, but I also did it two months ago,
- 7:04Speaker 3: so I don't know. Yeah, so it's like I can't
- 7:07Speaker 3: I can't like track them down. Yeah, but speaking of goodwill,
- 7:14Speaker 3: this is very important. Uh So, I guess a good
- 7:18Speaker 3: Will in Tucson had to evacuate because someone donated a grenade.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It was not real and no one was in danger.
- 7:26Speaker 3: But now things, a list of things are going viral.
- 7:29Speaker 3: The Goodwill doesn't want. Besides grenades, Okay, there's things they
- 7:33Speaker 3: don't want. They don't want old newspapers. They don't want encyclopedias.
- 7:37Speaker 3: They don't want oxygen tanks for scuba diving. They don't
- 7:40Speaker 3: want propaying tanks. They don't want built in appliances like dishwashers.
- 7:43Speaker 3: They don't want tires. They don't want office cubicles. They
- 7:47Speaker 3: don't want construction materials. They don't want hot tubs. They
- 7:51Speaker 3: don't want water beds. They don't want carpeting. They don't
- 7:53Speaker 3: want chemicals in paint. They don't want bowling balls, they
- 7:58Speaker 3: don't want wet stuff, and then number one thing, they
- 8:01Speaker 3: really don't want broken stuff. Yeah, all right there, that's Hey,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you got a cool thrifting story. She was a text
- 8:07Speaker 3: text JJR. Whatever your thrifting story is the nine six
- 8:10Speaker 3: eight ninety.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Three, Get up, Jess. Hello, thanks for holding what's up?
- 8:17Speaker 3: Hi?
- 8:18Speaker 1: Hi?
- 8:18Speaker 6: What's on your mind? What do you want to talk about?
- 8:20Speaker 6: What do you want to get into? How can we
- 8:22Speaker 6: help you?
- 8:23Speaker 9: One of my coworkers has started greeting me every single
- 8:26Speaker 9: morning with like, hey twin, and I cannot even explain
- 8:32Speaker 9: to the level of irritation it causes me.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Hey queen, No, hey twin, Hey twins, Oh, hey twin.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Okay, how aren't you alike in what ways are you different?
- 8:44Speaker 10: We're just different in like literally every way. Like I
- 8:48Speaker 10: don't have the same hair as her. I don't even
- 8:49Speaker 10: have the same outfit. I think one time we wore
- 8:52Speaker 10: the same colored shirt. And that's where this is coming from. Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 10: not the same face, No, not the same vibe, not
- 9:00Speaker 10: any sort of any sort of twenty thing happening between us.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Wild because like if you say anything in protest, then
- 9:08Speaker 1: you're a jerk, so you have to.
- 9:09Speaker 10: Get Yeah, I feel like I like, I literally can't
- 9:15Speaker 10: just go like like I'm not I'm not a twin
- 9:19Speaker 10: and you're an ugly match.
- 9:20Speaker 1: But yeah, that would come off as slightly mean.
- 9:27Speaker 10: Yeah, but I don't know. I'm just like slightly losing
- 9:32Speaker 10: my mind. And every day when I come in and
- 9:34Speaker 10: she's like, twin, where have you been? I lose another
- 9:37Speaker 10: piece of myself And like the worst part is, I know,
- 9:42Speaker 10: I know I can't say anything like I know I
- 9:44Speaker 10: can't be like, can you please stop calling me that?
- 9:47Speaker 11: It feels visually disrespectful?
- 9:52Speaker 6: You know what, It's slang. It doesn't mean that you're
- 9:55Speaker 6: her twin. It's slang maybe like makes you want slang
- 10:02Speaker 6: being a friend.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Dutch, my son Dutch tells me that that's what happened
- 10:06Speaker 3: on the basketball team all the time.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Am I right?
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:11Speaker 7: Like hate twin? Like I get, But it's like someone
- 10:13Speaker 7: that I would be in my feelings.
- 10:17Speaker 12: I would be.
- 10:19Speaker 2: If someone is like low key a little busted and
- 10:22Speaker 2: they're like, hey, like what do you trying to say
- 10:23Speaker 2: about me?
- 10:25Speaker 3: Literally literally I feel like if I if I go, hey,
- 10:29Speaker 3: hey dude, Hayton, Uh, what time you guys go to
- 10:31Speaker 3: the game and be like, don't call me dude.
- 10:33Speaker 6: I'm not a dude. I know, it's just slang.
- 10:34Speaker 7: It's just like that.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, hey, Twin, It's like it's like hey Bessie,
- 10:37Speaker 2: hey girl. Like, it's definitely like that. But I can see,
- 10:41Speaker 2: I can see where.
- 10:41Speaker 6: You're she's taking it to the literal.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you're taking it too literal. Like, I think she
- 10:45Speaker 2: probably think Kyle's right. She probably just wants to be
- 10:48Speaker 2: your friend. She probably thinks.
- 10:49Speaker 7: You're really cool, really cute, really fun and just wants
- 10:52Speaker 7: to build that connection.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Meanwhile, Chess is dying inside just a little bit every time.
- 10:57Speaker 10: Every time, I'm just like, I understand the rational part
- 10:59Speaker 10: of me is agreeing with you guys. So like every
- 11:02Speaker 10: time I hear it, it's just like I like grit
- 11:04Speaker 10: my teeth and I'm just like slowly dying. And honestly,
- 11:08Speaker 10: I'm I'm one hates went away from filing an HR
- 11:12Speaker 10: complaint from Oh, don't do that.
- 11:14Speaker 7: No, you just need to write it out and just
- 11:21Speaker 7: be nice to her.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I'm sure joy when I find ugly people that look
- 11:25Speaker 3: like rich and I take pictures of them together and
- 11:27Speaker 3: I'll say it's Rich's brother.
- 11:30Speaker 6: That's one of my favorite things to do in the world.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And honestly, the resemblance is kind of close sometimes.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And am I going to say, you know, there was
- 11:36Speaker 3: a guy we used to work with in Tucson and
- 11:39Speaker 3: everyone his name well, I don't want to say his name,
- 11:41Speaker 3: but he looked like me, but he was heavier than me.
- 11:46Speaker 3: And he was extremely gay, right gay John Jay. He
- 11:50Speaker 3: was a gay ju je and I at one point
- 11:51Speaker 3: wanted him to go. He would go out to place
- 11:52Speaker 3: he would get free meals and stuff, but he died.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I know, it's sad, but I love that guy. And
- 11:57Speaker 3: I would be like, hey, can you go here for me?
- 12:00Speaker 7: You would be like, hey, Twin, can you go here?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Hey Twin, Hey Twin, I don't care how fun boy
- 12:04Speaker 3: you are. I need you to be got him appearance
- 12:06Speaker 3: in this place and tell me me remember that guy.
- 12:10Speaker 6: He was great, He was precious, he was nice.
- 12:13Speaker 8: Do you remember your friend that you called successful Rich Para?
- 12:15Speaker 13: Oh?
- 12:15Speaker 6: Yeah, yeahs he was great, very successful.
- 12:23Speaker 3: This guy's way more successful lower year too. I would
- 12:29Speaker 3: talk to him in a while. I'll probably see him
- 12:31Speaker 3: this summer. Yeah, successful Rich Para is great.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You know, just recently. I brought that up, and my
- 12:37Speaker 1: wife's like successful rich par she wants to meet him.
- 12:43Speaker 1: She asked so many follow up questions, like she never
- 12:45Speaker 1: does that?
- 12:48Speaker 8: Does he hang out around here?
- 12:52Speaker 11: Right?
- 12:52Speaker 6: Jess? Thanks for calling it, Jess, have a great day.
- 12:55Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Peyton's gonna bring something up, and I don't know why,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but I have this whenever Peyton brings something up, I
- 13:12Speaker 3: want to present this song.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I want this to be like Peyton's theme. Hey, Like
- 13:16Speaker 6: I'll be like, hey, Payon's got something.
- 13:22Speaker 14: I like it.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'll think it Pyen's place.
- 13:26Speaker 14: Well.
- 13:27Speaker 2: No, I was scrolling on Instagram and I found out
- 13:29Speaker 2: that gen Z has a new travel vocabulary and I
- 13:32Speaker 2: was like what, And it's genius, Like mic rotation a
- 13:37Speaker 2: short getaway lasting anywhere from twenty four to seventy two hours,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and you just design it to like fit your everyday life.
- 13:44Speaker 7: Then like an actual big vacation, so we can get away.
- 13:47Speaker 6: We can get away, but it's a microm gen Z millennial.
- 13:51Speaker 6: We can get away.
- 13:52Speaker 7: Yes, okay, we all know room rotting, right like you
- 13:55Speaker 7: like no roting. Oh my gosh.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It's like when you travel but you don't really have
- 14:00Speaker 2: an agenda to like say you go to like a
- 14:03Speaker 2: beach town, but you just want a room, rode all
- 14:04Speaker 2: day and look from the beach from your windows.
- 14:06Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, like a vacationing.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Most people go vacation and then actually get out of
- 14:12Speaker 5: their hotel room.
- 14:15Speaker 6: I started the.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Canon event, a spontaneous moment that becomes more memorable than
- 14:21Speaker 2: anything that you actually plan.
- 14:23Speaker 6: What is it?
- 14:24Speaker 7: A canon event?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Canon becomes part of the story of your life, one
- 14:30Speaker 1: of those.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Things that happened, but like that you didn't think was
- 14:32Speaker 2: gonna happen. You're talking about at two am. It's like,
- 14:34Speaker 2: oh my gosh, there's no way I need an example.
- 14:36Speaker 6: I don't understand.
- 14:38Speaker 7: A cannon event would be like a spontaneous moment.
- 14:43Speaker 5: Anything you act literally Rich and Stacey running into Travis Kelsey.
- 14:49Speaker 3: There, go to a wedding somewhere and bump into Okay that, like,
- 14:53Speaker 3: so it was there. You were there for something, an event,
- 14:55Speaker 3: and meanwhile it's all about Travis and.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Could be also that you go somewhere they're shooting off
- 15:00Speaker 1: cannons event.
- 15:02Speaker 7: That's awesome. Yeah, that's that's possible. Okay.
- 15:04Speaker 2: D influenced travel, choosing destinations that feel personal rather than
- 15:09Speaker 2: places made famous by social media.
- 15:11Speaker 7: So you go somewhere that's like near and dear to your.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Heart, like the way that you should go to Ireland
- 15:15Speaker 2: because my name is Ireland exactly.
- 15:17Speaker 1: But you're not doing it for them.
- 15:18Speaker 6: You're going to you're going on vacation because that's where
- 15:20Speaker 6: you want to go to vacation.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You can't can't even consider that, Like why do we
- 15:25Speaker 1: go somewhere that we can't?
- 15:26Speaker 7: We can't what d influence travel.
- 15:32Speaker 6: What we call normal travel.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Mirror trip, which is a trip planned around your personality,
- 15:40Speaker 2: your interest, your identity, rather than like a traditional checklist.
- 15:44Speaker 2: So if you like to go thrifting or you like
- 15:46Speaker 2: to do things like that, you will go specifically to
- 15:48Speaker 2: a town where they're known for their thrifting or something
- 15:51Speaker 2: like that.
- 15:51Speaker 6: Are there towns known for thrifting? Yeah, like New York.
- 15:55Speaker 2: There's a couple of pl Like there's a magazine street
- 15:56Speaker 2: in New Orleans that's huge for thrifting. I'm sure there's
- 15:59Speaker 2: some spots okay in San Diego, Okay. A y cation
- 16:03Speaker 2: a trip inspired by a feeling or mood rather than
- 16:06Speaker 2: like a specific destination. So it's like I wasn't looking
- 16:09Speaker 2: for a place, I was looking for Peace.
- 16:12Speaker 3: So that's like going to mirror Ball or something like
- 16:14Speaker 3: that where you go to get away. There's this other
- 16:16Speaker 3: place I've heard about, Castle Springs, Hot Springs, Yes, yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 3: have you heard of that place? Yeah, I've talked to
- 16:23Speaker 3: two people recently have been there.
- 16:24Speaker 11: What do you do?
- 16:25Speaker 6: Just jump in the They have like hot spring, but
- 16:27Speaker 6: they have stuff that's like what Peyton's talking about.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's like you either have to like helicopter
- 16:32Speaker 5: in or ride a long time on a dirt road.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, that's funny exactly, That's exactly what was described to me.
- 16:37Speaker 3: And they told me the dirt road drive is miserable.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And you'll see why everyone helicopter's in. I'm like, how
- 16:42Speaker 3: do you just helicopter in? Where do you go get
- 16:44Speaker 3: a They make it seem like it's just a cab service, right,
- 16:47Speaker 3: like where do you go get a helicopter?
- 16:48Speaker 8: Just grab a helicopter like an uber.
- 16:50Speaker 6: You got a helicopter in.
- 16:51Speaker 1: We have a lot more customers if they put in
- 16:52Speaker 1: a decent road.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Well, yeah, someday I'll go your ykation.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Okay, local lore hunting.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So you're on the everyday side of a destination from
- 17:02Speaker 2: the neighborhood markets to local hangout. So it's skip the
- 17:04Speaker 2: tourist traps. Let's go where the locals go. So you
- 17:07Speaker 2: go to like Paris and you ask a local where's
- 17:10Speaker 2: the spots that I go? And you skip all the
- 17:11Speaker 2: touristy stuff.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Okay, So the thing is with that that sounds like
- 17:14Speaker 3: something again people have always done. Now you're just putting
- 17:16Speaker 3: labels on it now. Yeah, local because like when we
- 17:18Speaker 3: were in we where was I and we went to
- 17:20Speaker 3: the places? Oh yeah, we were in Sanday. We were
- 17:23Speaker 3: in del Mar a while ago. In del Mar and
- 17:26Speaker 3: we're walking or standing around by the place where at
- 17:27Speaker 3: and someone told my wife about a little place in
- 17:30Speaker 3: a neighborhood. They turned the house into a cafe. Nobody
- 17:32Speaker 3: knows about it unless you live in that neighborhood.
- 17:34Speaker 6: And it was passed.
- 17:35Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 17:35Speaker 2: So that's called what that is called local lore hunting.
- 17:39Speaker 2: This one's my favorite menty b travel trip. A trip
- 17:43Speaker 2: where you go because you're overwhelmed and desperately.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Need a break. It wasn't like a vacation, it was
- 17:49Speaker 7: just because you had.
- 17:49Speaker 1: A mental health too.
- 17:50Speaker 2: You have to for your mental health to go on
- 17:53Speaker 2: this trip. Then you have side questing, which we know.
- 17:55Speaker 2: It's like you go on another trip. Within the trip,
- 17:58Speaker 2: you have an anti and tinerary trip, which is where
- 18:00Speaker 2: you travel.
- 18:00Speaker 7: With a little to no schedule.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You just love that. That's my favorite dry tripping.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Which is choosing rest, nature, meaningful experiences.
- 18:07Speaker 7: Over night life. So there is your gen Z travel list.
- 18:13Speaker 8: It's very long, Like you know, do we need all
- 18:16Speaker 8: those terms?
- 18:17Speaker 1: No?
- 18:17Speaker 5: No, you are people actually using those terms like pop
- 18:22Speaker 5: were saying t travel a couple of times.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Okay, the side trip, the side trip?
- 18:28Speaker 8: Would you call that?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Quests called?
- 18:31Speaker 6: Yeah? Side question? Okay? When I was in college, I
- 18:33Speaker 6: went with to my buddies.
- 18:34Speaker 3: We backpacked through Europe and one of the things we
- 18:36Speaker 3: did is you have your home base and then we
- 18:38Speaker 3: go on these day trips.
- 18:40Speaker 6: If one of my friends we're gonna go side quests,
- 18:42Speaker 6: what are you talking about? It's like, why are you
- 18:45Speaker 6: making names? Is like we need names.
- 18:48Speaker 7: We're doing everything.
- 18:50Speaker 6: I guess, so well, thank you. Peyton went more today.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Peyton's segment music which I Jane rich on one O
- 18:59Speaker 3: four seven Kiss have.
- 19:02Speaker 7: Wake Wake you up.
- 19:08Speaker 6: It's time for sex and acts.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I have stacks of information and rich has life hacks,
- 19:12Speaker 3: so I brought this up at dinner last night with
- 19:14Speaker 3: my kids, and I forgot the subject matter. I was
- 19:18Speaker 3: talking about the number one video game of all time, right,
- 19:21Speaker 3: and they started within seconds thrown out in titles. I
- 19:24Speaker 3: knew the answer, but it turns out I got the
- 19:27Speaker 3: subject wrong. So they put together a list of the
- 19:33Speaker 3: Oh this I was wrong.
- 19:34Speaker 6: This is true.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I thought it was the music of the video game.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I thought it was, Hey, what's the number one music
- 19:39Speaker 3: of video game of all time? Turns out what is
- 19:42Speaker 3: the greatest video game of all time?
- 19:45Speaker 1: Greatest video game of all time of all time?
- 19:48Speaker 2: Probably like something with the Mario University Classic, Super Mario Brothers,
- 19:53Speaker 2: Super Mario World.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I feel like, you gotta you gotta add the modern
- 19:56Speaker 1: stuff like Fortnite on there too. Okay, that's been going.
- 19:59Speaker 3: To hold on, hold on Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto is
- 20:04Speaker 3: number fifteen, Tetris is twelve, Super Mario Galaxies eleven, Red Dead,
- 20:10Speaker 3: Redemption two is number ten, Resident Evil four, Portal two.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Number five is the Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Number three is Super Mario Brothers. Number two is Minecraft.
- 20:23Speaker 3: The number one best video game of all day of
- 20:27Speaker 3: all time is called the Legend of Zelda.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Anyone knows the rest of what it's called. Legend of Zelda?
- 20:32Speaker 7: What no, No, I just know Zelda, Zelda.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Oh Karina of Time from nineteen ninety eight. I don't
- 20:41Speaker 3: know it, never played Zelda.
- 20:42Speaker 7: I like Zelda.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Police in Mexico are searching for a mystery vigilante that
- 20:48Speaker 3: locals have nicknamed Mexican Batman or last few weeks, five
- 20:53Speaker 3: motorcycle thieves have been found duct tape to light poles
- 20:55Speaker 3: with stolen motorcycles parked nearby. Some even had the word
- 20:58Speaker 3: thief written across their forehead before you starts ordering a cape.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Police are reminded of when that people found tied up
- 21:04Speaker 3: were still considered victims, so officers believe more than one
- 21:08Speaker 3: person may be involved. A real Batman. Did you guys
- 21:11Speaker 3: hear this crazy Weymo story. I've told this story a
- 21:13Speaker 3: couple of times. I saw it a couple days ago.
- 21:15Speaker 3: So two teenagers got it in a weymoth, Yes, and
- 21:18Speaker 3: they started like pulling pranks on people.
- 21:20Speaker 6: I saw this right, So do you know the story?
- 21:22Speaker 2: Coppen?
- 21:22Speaker 6: The Weimo locked the doors and drove to the police station.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Yep.
- 21:27Speaker 8: What pranks were they playing?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Like?
- 21:28Speaker 8: How did the Weimo know they were doing pranks.
- 21:30Speaker 7: They say what they were doing.
- 21:32Speaker 2: So they were in the WEIMO they were like fifteen
- 21:34Speaker 2: sixteen year old boys. They're like drinking, they're hitting their
- 21:36Speaker 2: vapes in the back of this car, and they had
- 21:39Speaker 2: like the fake water guns and like spray painted them.
- 21:43Speaker 2: So they're rolling down the windows and shooting out the
- 21:45Speaker 2: cars with water guns, and WEIMO reported it called the police.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Police surrounded and it was this whole thing, and they
- 21:50Speaker 2: basically were like, make sure that you're watching your kids,
- 21:53Speaker 2: because sometimes people they only see a quick glance of
- 21:57Speaker 2: something and they see what they think.
- 21:59Speaker 7: I'm on shooting out of a window is bad news.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Officers surrounded the vehicle detain both teams. WEIMO says it's
- 22:05Speaker 3: vehicles have interior cameras and in urgent situations, employees can
- 22:08Speaker 3: access live video doing a ride, which means they might
- 22:11Speaker 3: take it. I mean 'd be cool the WAYMO Headquarter
- 22:14Speaker 3: take that car too. I would just do it for fun, randomly.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Imagine if it was real. WEIMO doesn't want to drive
- 22:19Speaker 8: by shooting on them.
- 22:20Speaker 3: What's the biggest mistake you can make on a date
- 22:24Speaker 3: using the wrong name. That's good enough paying for it
- 22:27Speaker 3: if you're the person that you're The top three biggest
- 22:29Speaker 3: mistakes up there you can make on a day, according
- 22:31Speaker 3: to the Hoveting Post, going to dinner on a first date.
- 22:33Speaker 3: It I can feel like a long interview, so skip it.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Try mini golf, hanging out at a farmer's market, or
- 22:37Speaker 3: even wandering around IKEA. Those are fun, low pressure, and
- 22:40Speaker 3: good distraction. Turning the conversation into a one person podcast,
- 22:45Speaker 3: which means you have to ask questions and then listen.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Biggest mistakes Number one trying so hard to impress someone
- 22:51Speaker 3: that you forget you're also deciding if you don't like them.
- 22:53Speaker 3: It's not about getting picked, it's about figuring out there's
- 22:55Speaker 3: enough of a connection for date.
- 22:56Speaker 6: Number two.
- 22:58Speaker 3: The most popular boy names in nineteen seventy six were
- 23:03Speaker 3: Michael Jason, Christopher James.
- 23:07Speaker 6: And David Strong, all of them good. The top five.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Girls names were Jennifer, Amy, Melissa, Heather, and Angela. Out
- 23:15Speaker 3: of all those names, only James has stood the test
- 23:19Speaker 3: of time. It was number six last year. Really the
- 23:21Speaker 3: rest gone. No one names their kid any of those names.
- 23:26Speaker 3: When you were younger, did you make fun of old
- 23:28Speaker 3: people doing old people things? Of course, now there's a
- 23:31Speaker 3: list floating around of old person habits that millennials used
- 23:34Speaker 3: to mock, but now they realize they're amazing.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Massaging your own feet, Oh my.
- 23:41Speaker 3: God, my dad used to do that all the time,
- 23:42Speaker 3: and now I find myself doing it, he said, make
- 23:45Speaker 3: fun of my dad.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Why are you working on your socks so much? I'm
- 23:47Speaker 1: asashing my feet up? But stand out all day.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Going to bed earlier is number one.
- 23:51Speaker 3: That's the listening to music at a normal volume, getting
- 23:55Speaker 3: off social media, not wasting anything, staying home on weekends,
- 23:59Speaker 3: eating an earlier dinner.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Nothing is better than going out for a five pm dinner.
- 24:04Speaker 6: It says no.
- 24:06Speaker 1: That last week we went on like a four to
- 24:08Speaker 1: thirty pm date. It was awesome.
- 24:10Speaker 6: This part I don't agree with. This is number one.
- 24:12Speaker 6: What I'm about tell you number one on the list.
- 24:14Speaker 6: It's an old person have it. It says.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Someone says that when they were a teenager, they used
- 24:18Speaker 3: to mock these people, and now it's their favorite thing
- 24:20Speaker 3: to do. I don't mock these people. Sometimes I wonder
- 24:23Speaker 3: how these people do it, because I can't do this.
- 24:25Speaker 3: But it's running.
- 24:27Speaker 6: Running.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Running is something that old people do that everyone likes
- 24:29Speaker 3: to go do. Running is crazy sometimes I have so
- 24:32Speaker 3: much respect for people that run. I saw a woman
- 24:34Speaker 3: this morning, I'm driving into work and she's running. I'm like, hey,
- 24:36Speaker 3: is her problem?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Are you okay, ma'am?
- 24:42Speaker 6: You're such good shape. It's so good for you, I think.
- 24:45Speaker 6: But anyway, what do you got rich for life? Hacks?
- 24:46Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna save you so much money. I hope
- 24:48Speaker 1: you guys try I hope people in this room try this,
- 24:51Speaker 1: because I have in the past spent a lot of
- 24:54Speaker 1: money on those little car things that make your car
- 24:58Speaker 1: smell good air fresh air, yes, but they're no good
- 25:00Speaker 1: for you because they're full of chemicals. So and they're expensive.
- 25:04Speaker 1: So here's what you do.
- 25:05Speaker 11: Now.
- 25:06Speaker 1: It might sound a little a touch ratchet, but put
- 25:08Speaker 1: it in the back seats so nobody sees it. What
- 25:10Speaker 1: you do is you get a wood clothes pin and
- 25:12Speaker 1: you put some essential oil on it, about five drops.
- 25:15Speaker 1: That'll last you a month essential oil. The whole thing
- 25:20Speaker 1: will cost maybe five bucks if you're overspending, but that
- 25:23Speaker 1: will last you a year and a half. I believe
- 25:25Speaker 1: it if you just kind of reapply it onto the
- 25:28Speaker 1: wooden clothes pin and they say, put it in your
- 25:30Speaker 1: back seats. So people that get in the front seat,
- 25:32Speaker 1: can still smell it, but they don't make fun of
- 25:33Speaker 1: you for having a bunch of clothes pins.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Problem.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Only problem for me is I'd have to go to
- 25:38Speaker 3: my grandmother's house to find a wooden clothes pin, which
- 25:41Speaker 3: we having a laundry in the backyard on one of
- 25:43Speaker 3: those wires.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Oh, I would probably put it on the ground because
- 25:46Speaker 5: I had like an essential oil air freshener that you
- 25:49Speaker 5: hang from your rearview mirror, and some of the oil
- 25:52Speaker 5: actually dripped out onto like my middle console thing, and
- 25:55Speaker 5: it like the oil literally like it looks like a
- 26:00Speaker 5: burn in it, like you can see it was like
- 26:02Speaker 5: a circle. No, the plastic of the middle console thing.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Oh wow, Yeah, it totally ruined it, Like it's unfixable.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Well, they say, do these on these clip these on
- 26:10Speaker 1: the air vents in the back because the wood of
- 26:13Speaker 1: the little closeman will absorb it, so it shooting'tlyk all
- 26:16Speaker 1: over the place. But sticking on the vent in your
- 26:19Speaker 1: back seat. That life hacked. Many more can be found
- 26:21Speaker 1: in John Jay Enriched dot com.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Oh God, I like you, Brooklyn. Good morning you're on
- 26:31Speaker 6: the air.
- 26:32Speaker 9: Good morning, Hi, Hi, what's going on?
- 26:36Speaker 4: Well, so my friend texted me and she's get drifted.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I need a plus one. So I'm like, okay, I'm
- 26:43Speaker 4: always grass for some spontaneous fun. You know, I'm always
- 26:46Speaker 4: down for a good time. So we met up at
- 26:50Speaker 4: this We were at this fancy rooftop bar and it
- 26:54Speaker 4: was a company party and an open bar.
- 26:58Speaker 9: We're having a great time, and I asked.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Her, is this your work party? And she's like nope.
- 27:06Speaker 4: So she had gotten added to some email list and
- 27:09Speaker 4: she kept rsvting to these fancy parties, and you know,
- 27:14Speaker 4: we just we just tried to blend in, tried to
- 27:17Speaker 4: act like we belonged there. But then we eventually got
- 27:22Speaker 4: caught because the CEO came up to her and she
- 27:25Speaker 4: congratulated him on a position that he never got. So yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 4: so then they knew that we didn't belong there. But
- 27:33Speaker 4: you know, it was a fun side quest to get
- 27:35Speaker 4: kicked out in a polite sort of way, not like forcibly,
- 27:40Speaker 4: but like, okay, you guys shouldn't be here. So we
- 27:43Speaker 4: just kind of blunk out. But we had a lot
- 27:45Speaker 4: of drinks before that, so.
- 27:46Speaker 6: She got I mean, she got invited. I mean, yeah,
- 27:51Speaker 6: so wrong with that.
- 27:54Speaker 4: It was fun while it lasted.
- 27:56Speaker 3: There are places sometimes that you get invited to and oh,
- 27:59Speaker 3: for me at least, I feel like I don't belong.
- 28:01Speaker 3: In fact, just this last weekend when I was a
- 28:03Speaker 3: flag staff at that place where we rented a cabin
- 28:06Speaker 3: and saved this place and we had access to all
- 28:09Speaker 3: this stuff, and I felt like, I'm not.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Supposed to be there.
- 28:12Speaker 8: Yeah, I was like, how did you get that?
- 28:13Speaker 6: Oh? Even you said that to me, right, you said,
- 28:16Speaker 6: how did you.
- 28:17Speaker 7: Stand that place?
- 28:18Speaker 8: Are you allowed to stay in that place?
- 28:19Speaker 6: And walking around everywhere I went, I'd be like, hey,
- 28:22Speaker 6: can I go in there?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yeah, no problem, And I'm like, really like I was,
- 28:27Speaker 3: I was supposed to be there, but I felt like
- 28:28Speaker 3: I'm not supposed to.
- 28:29Speaker 1: That's a pretty good bit for us. Where were you were?
- 28:30Speaker 1: You totally weren't supposed to be.
- 28:32Speaker 3: One time I got in, I got invited. When I
- 28:34Speaker 3: first started radio, I got just like what she's talking about.
- 28:37Speaker 3: It was it was junk mail. I guess it was
- 28:39Speaker 3: a male. It came to the radio station I worked at.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I didn't have anybody's name on it, and opened up
- 28:42Speaker 3: and it was an invite to a comedy show. Oh god,
- 28:46Speaker 3: I can't remember what was the name of the comedy
- 28:47Speaker 3: show that Rob Williams hosted with Billy Crystal and Woopie
- 28:51Speaker 3: Goldberg Comic Comic Relief, Comic Relief. So it was a
- 28:54Speaker 3: big telephone with these huge comedians. So I got this
- 28:57Speaker 3: ticket and I was like, I'm gonna go. It was
- 29:00Speaker 3: in LA and I was living in Sant Diego, so
- 29:01Speaker 3: I went and picked up my sister and her and
- 29:03Speaker 3: I went and had access to everything. We met all
- 29:06Speaker 3: these comedians that Drew Carey, I took a selfie with
- 29:08Speaker 3: Drew Carrey. I did all this stuff, and I felt
- 29:10Speaker 3: like I didn't belong there, but I had all the
- 29:12Speaker 3: credentials to be there. And so I always feel like
- 29:14Speaker 3: I don't belong my Phoenix Sun's tickets. Every time I
- 29:17Speaker 3: go sit in my son's tickets, I feel like I'm
- 29:19Speaker 3: gonna get kicked out. They are my tickets, but I
- 29:21Speaker 3: can't help. But I have this what do you call that,
- 29:24Speaker 3: This's gotta be a complex, poster syndrome, imposter inperiority complex.
- 29:28Speaker 3: I have that too.
- 29:30Speaker 6: I am all of it.
- 29:31Speaker 3: But anyway, but you got the invitation and the CEO
- 29:35Speaker 3: congratulated you guys. All right, well, thanks for calling in
- 29:41Speaker 3: and sharing that.
- 29:41Speaker 10: Story books are You're welcome, Thank you.
- 29:44Speaker 6: I have a great day, all right you too, one
- 29:50Speaker 6: O four to seven Kiss FM. John J. Ridge, Hello Morgan, Hi,
- 29:54Speaker 6: what's up here on there?
- 29:56Speaker 4: Uh?
- 29:57Speaker 15: So I went to this wedding where where they had
- 30:00Speaker 15: one of those digital photo booths that text you your pictures. Okay,
- 30:06Speaker 15: So the bride accidentally sent the access link to the
- 30:09Speaker 15: entire guest list instead of just.
- 30:11Speaker 16: The bridal party.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 15: So everybody started scrolling through like a lot of the
- 30:18Speaker 15: photo strips and it was like hundreds, and we realized
- 30:21Speaker 15: that one of the groomsmen had been taking secret pictures
- 30:24Speaker 15: with different girls, like all night and using the same pose,
- 30:30Speaker 15: and they were picture of him and like twelve other girls,
- 30:33Speaker 15: and some of them were bridesmaids.
- 30:35Speaker 16: And some of them were regular guests.
- 30:36Speaker 11: But like we it was so crazy.
- 30:39Speaker 15: We started calling it his engagement shoot, and we sent
- 30:44Speaker 15: them to him to like press them on it, and
- 30:47Speaker 15: all he said.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Was that he didn't even remember the whole night, as.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Alloto photos will expose you the day after though.
- 30:59Speaker 6: Like you've seen Walk of shame, Like what what have
- 31:02Speaker 6: you seen?
- 31:02Speaker 7: Like you see a whole, but like you can see
- 31:04Speaker 7: a whole but I okay.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So actually one of my side gigs I work for,
- 31:07Speaker 2: like a photo booth company, right, will go to weddings.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I cannot tell you how many times I've seen rides
- 31:13Speaker 2: kiss groomsmen.
- 31:14Speaker 7: Oh yeah, was super awkward.
- 31:17Speaker 6: You mean, so the photo gets printed, so it's a
- 31:19Speaker 6: pretty Also.
- 31:20Speaker 7: You have like a digital gallery that she can go
- 31:23Speaker 7: back and see what she tried to kiss me at
- 31:28Speaker 7: the wedding.
- 31:29Speaker 6: But the photo is her like tongue kissing.
- 31:32Speaker 2: A groom like they like peck, they like turn and
- 31:34Speaker 2: they peck and they like kicking, and acted like no not.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I am telling you, I seriously think that they had
- 31:42Speaker 2: probably hooked up once upon a time because their chemistry
- 31:46Speaker 2: was better than her in the crew. You've seen arguments
- 31:50Speaker 2: sometimes boyfriends and girlfriends.
- 31:51Speaker 7: The girlfriend wants to I don't want to public. I
- 31:56Speaker 7: don't do pity stuff like that. There's all kinds of hes,
- 32:00Speaker 7: just have people hammered falling over.
- 32:02Speaker 6: Well, see the guy in Morgan's story to me, the
- 32:04Speaker 6: guy in mortgage story.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I mean, I can see the storyline in my head
- 32:08Speaker 3: where the guy is single, and it's so much fun
- 32:10Speaker 3: to tell the grooms the groom later look, I took
- 32:13Speaker 3: a picture with every single girl at your wedding.
- 32:15Speaker 6: Yeah, that's like, it sounds funny to me.
- 32:17Speaker 7: That was his mission.
- 32:18Speaker 6: It just sounds fun.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It's something fun to do. You're bored, you're by yourself
- 32:21Speaker 3: at the wedding. Let me do how can I have
- 32:22Speaker 3: fun with this?
- 32:23Speaker 1: But Peyton gives us an idea for a segment, like
- 32:25Speaker 1: I would have never thought that managing a photo booth
- 32:28Speaker 1: you would be exposed to drama. We should do a
- 32:32Speaker 1: segment tell us what you do and what kind of
- 32:34Speaker 1: drama you went over because of what you do, because
- 32:36Speaker 1: I would have never thought about that.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the ones that really get me is with the
- 32:40Speaker 2: boyfriends and the girlfriends when they start arguing about what
- 32:43Speaker 2: poses they're gonna do, because it's like, Okay, I don't
- 32:45Speaker 2: think you guys are gonna work out for.
- 32:49Speaker 7: Red Flag. I'm like, we can't even communicate.
- 32:51Speaker 10: On a post.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Brother, think about that for a second, because like every
- 32:55Speaker 3: time we take a picture with this one over here,
- 32:57Speaker 3: this Kyle went, we're taking a thousand.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Usually what I do is I try to make at
- 33:03Speaker 1: the beginning of the night because I know it's going
- 33:05Speaker 1: to last a little bit. In that way, you know,
- 33:07Speaker 1: you get the photos out of the way. Everybody's good.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Maria, thanks for calling in.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Thank you, John, Jay and Rich and Naya, good morning,
- 33:18Speaker 3: good morning, Hey, thanks for holding what's going on with
- 33:20Speaker 3: your face?
- 33:22Speaker 15: Well, I have a good story today. I have one
- 33:26Speaker 15: hundred percent the bad guy in the story.
- 33:29Speaker 6: You're the bad guy.
- 33:29Speaker 17: Okay, I am the bad guy, but I feel like
- 33:33Speaker 17: it's very vindicated. So for context, my ex cheated on
- 33:38Speaker 17: me and we still share an apartment. We're just staying
- 33:44Speaker 17: there till the leash it up. But anyway, last night
- 33:46Speaker 17: he's having a small get together and he brings over
- 33:49Speaker 17: another girl into our shared apartment and he orders like
- 33:54Speaker 17: I think it's sushi, like one hundred and fifty dollars
- 33:57Speaker 17: with sushi, a ton of sushi. And he's doing it
- 34:00Speaker 17: on DoorDash. But he doesn't know that my tablet is
- 34:04Speaker 17: still linked to his door dash account. So I go in,
- 34:08Speaker 17: I change it to my friends who lives down the street,
- 34:11Speaker 17: and it says leave at the door. So I just
- 34:13Speaker 17: go over to her house.
- 34:15Speaker 10: We have all of the sushi.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I don't think I'm mad at that. I don't think
- 34:20Speaker 1: I'm mad at that at all.
- 34:23Speaker 4: He comes out.
- 34:24Speaker 17: I come on like two hours later, he's still yelling
- 34:26Speaker 17: on the phone with someone in support. I guess I'm
- 34:29Speaker 17: just like, grab.
- 34:30Speaker 10: A glass of water.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Let us embarrass in front of all of the trends,
- 34:34Speaker 4: like maybe you Christian order pizza.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Oh the girl was still there while he was yelling
- 34:38Speaker 1: at DoorDash.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Yay, the audacity for that man to bring another girl
- 34:44Speaker 2: in there while you're still living together. Like I understand
- 34:46Speaker 2: still being broken up, but like the disrespect.
- 34:51Speaker 6: That's a there's so many different levels of that, because
- 34:54Speaker 6: when did you guys break up?
- 34:55Speaker 17: We broke up with two months ago and we still
- 34:58Speaker 17: have two months left on our lead.
- 34:59Speaker 7: Oh that's wow.
- 35:00Speaker 3: It's so wild to break up with somebody he got
- 35:02Speaker 3: caught cheating, and the fact that he could bring a
- 35:03Speaker 3: girl to your house when he's so weird.
- 35:06Speaker 1: But he's probably like such a sociopath. He's like, well
- 35:08Speaker 1: it's over, she broke out, yeah, true, what's the problem.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And also what if he said of buy and she's like,
- 35:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna go to your house now and he's like, oh, okay,
- 35:15Speaker 3: I let you know.
- 35:15Speaker 6: My roommate is my ex girlfriend. We just broke up
- 35:18Speaker 6: two months ago.
- 35:18Speaker 1: And does he introduce the girl that's over to you,
- 35:21Speaker 1: and does he say this is my no, doesn't like
- 35:24Speaker 1: what what does she think you're doing at the apartment?
- 35:26Speaker 17: I mean, I don't know what kind of story he
- 35:28Speaker 17: told her, but he might as well not have even
- 35:31Speaker 17: noticed I was there.
- 35:32Speaker 6: So does DoorDash refund? I would assume they do.
- 35:34Speaker 3: I would assume because I know that my kids and
- 35:36Speaker 3: my wife have ordered stuff and it's gone to the
- 35:38Speaker 3: wrong place and they'll get a refund or something.
- 35:41Speaker 6: So he must.
- 35:41Speaker 3: I'm sure he came out, you know, okay, right, don't
- 35:45Speaker 3: you think, especially for that price.
- 35:46Speaker 7: Unless he was like my ex girlfriend changed the address.
- 35:50Speaker 6: But he never caught, did he He didn't know, did he?
- 35:52Speaker 7: Oh he doesn't.
- 35:53Speaker 6: Oh he doesn't know. He thinks the DoorDash driver's the
- 35:56Speaker 6: wrong place.
- 35:56Speaker 7: Yeah, he probably gets away with it.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Then. Actually, unless go to the app the door dash,
- 36:01Speaker 3: people go wait a minute, they address was changed.
- 36:03Speaker 1: A lot of times they'll take like at my house,
- 36:04Speaker 1: I'll take a picture of the food in front of
- 36:06Speaker 1: your door, so you can say that's not my door.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Right, I'm probably get a Refa's what I mean. But
- 36:10Speaker 3: then they can I'll say, hey, it was changed to deliver.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Here, that is your door.
- 36:13Speaker 7: Complicated.
- 36:13Speaker 6: All right, a lot's going on there.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You know.
- 36:15Speaker 6: My son camp he started door dashing.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Oh that's cool, the cool way to make something.
- 36:20Speaker 6: He tried to. He did it for a day, and
- 36:23Speaker 6: then I was like, how was it. He says, great,
- 36:25Speaker 6: he makes some money.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Because it kind of hurt my heart a little bit,
- 36:28Speaker 3: you know, because I anyway, he was being trying to
- 36:30Speaker 3: get money, and then he said, I don't know if
- 36:32Speaker 3: I'm gona doing anymore. And then yesterday a package came
- 36:34Speaker 3: in the mail and it was from door dash giving
- 36:37Speaker 3: him all the supplies I guess to deliver all this stuff.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Right, gave you like a cooler bag so you can
- 36:41Speaker 2: keep all the food hot and warm. I actually think
- 36:44Speaker 2: it's really dope, especially because if you're like new to
- 36:47Speaker 2: the valley, or you just like driving around the places
- 36:50Speaker 2: that you get to see and explore and drive through
- 36:52Speaker 2: just in Arizona, like it's such a beautiful state. So
- 36:54Speaker 2: it gives you the opportunity to make some cash and
- 36:57Speaker 2: explore your city.
- 36:57Speaker 6: You know. That is a real positive way of looking
- 37:00Speaker 6: at delivering food.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Joe and Andrey did it together, like one would drive
- 37:03Speaker 1: and the other would run in and get the food
- 37:05Speaker 1: and drop it off and then they would switch and
- 37:07Speaker 1: they made They made some good dough in a couple
- 37:09Speaker 1: of weekends. Mostly was Taco Bell, they said in Tempe
- 37:14Speaker 1: he did a taco Bell order. People don't want to
- 37:17Speaker 1: even go to Taco Bell. They're so lazy.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Anayah, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 37:21Speaker 14: Of course, thanks guying.
- 37:22Speaker 13: Have a great day, say.
- 37:26Speaker 3: You say, John Jay and Rich so on Reddit, I
- 37:34Speaker 3: downloaded the Reddit app. Now I like spending a little
- 37:35Speaker 3: time on redd. I still find it hard to maneuver,
- 37:37Speaker 3: but I'm on the Reddit app. And I saw this
- 37:39Speaker 3: thing where guys on social media were listing girl flexes
- 37:45Speaker 3: that instantly make them attractive, and they had posted like
- 37:49Speaker 3: the top fifteen of them. These are flexes, you call
- 37:52Speaker 3: them flexes, things that make them instantly attractive. Like for me,
- 37:57Speaker 3: I remember when I was in college, there was this
- 38:00Speaker 3: girl and she drove by. She was in a pickup
- 38:02Speaker 3: truck and something that Alwa was just like, Oh my god,
- 38:04Speaker 3: is so sexy girl in a pickup right? So that
- 38:07Speaker 3: that kind of thing, right, So I hear one of
- 38:10Speaker 3: the things on the list is a girl comfortable with
- 38:13Speaker 3: power tools.
- 38:14Speaker 6: Sounds weird, but pretty bad ass.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Ye. So I want you to think of guy flexes
- 38:19Speaker 3: you girls, and we will go over girl flexes us
- 38:22Speaker 3: and I'll go over this list too. If you guys
- 38:23Speaker 3: can think of flexes something that makes them instantly attractive.
- 38:27Speaker 3: For example, these guys say the ability to take responsibility
- 38:32Speaker 3: and apologize. That is a flex that turns on these guys.
- 38:36Speaker 3: When she can say I got this and then proceeds
- 38:39Speaker 3: to get this right, that's the big picking up stuff
- 38:43Speaker 3: on the floor with her toes that is actually on
- 38:45Speaker 3: the list.
- 38:46Speaker 6: That is impressive.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Seeing Kyle throw things with her toes. You throw keys
- 38:51Speaker 3: in a knife, Yeah, this is also impressive. Good posture, yep,
- 38:57Speaker 3: good posture. This is also impressive. This is a flex
- 39:00Speaker 3: for girls. A green thumb of any kind, this is
- 39:04Speaker 3: the This is big too. I think actually all these
- 39:06Speaker 3: are not posting on social media. That is a flex.
- 39:11Speaker 6: I love that.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Guys think that's a very attractive. My wife has zero
- 39:14Speaker 1: social media and I love it.
- 39:16Speaker 6: So's my wife. Yah zero.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Now for our jobs, we have to so I think
- 39:20Speaker 3: you get to take us out of the out of
- 39:21Speaker 3: the equation financial responsibility.
- 39:24Speaker 6: That's good.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Having an open attitude towards the outside world and new experiences.
- 39:30Speaker 3: If he's overly closed off and judgmental, that's a red flag.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Emotional maturity is a girl flex that these guys like, Well,
- 39:39Speaker 3: those are deep curious about the world, not necessarily smart, worldly,
- 39:45Speaker 3: but just like learning and finds the world to be
- 39:47Speaker 3: an interesting place. Number three on this list is problem
- 39:52Speaker 3: solving skills. One person said, you and me versus the
- 39:54Speaker 3: problem instead of who is to blame?
- 39:56Speaker 6: Is so hot. This is what this guy says. This
- 39:59Speaker 6: is so awesome.
- 40:00Speaker 3: One person said, we drank for free at every bar
- 40:02Speaker 3: we went to because we had so much credit everywhere
- 40:04Speaker 3: from trivia winnings. That's a lot of the opposite what
- 40:09Speaker 3: we hear of. The second updates the number one flex,
- 40:13Speaker 3: and I agree with this. Pay I'm a flex that
- 40:16Speaker 3: guys like about girls. When girls do this, they love it.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Pay for dinner.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I'm like, when they're kind, I'm like, your seems like
- 40:25Speaker 2: very emotional. First thing I was gonna say is like
- 40:27Speaker 2: when they were like a summer dress, like when they
- 40:29Speaker 2: were the.
- 40:32Speaker 7: Of course that's wrong.
- 40:34Speaker 6: I would put Kyle in this category. This is a
- 40:35Speaker 6: flex of yours.
- 40:37Speaker 8: This is a big craft.
- 40:38Speaker 6: This is a big I would craft.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Wouldn't get to the top ten positivity pedicure toast as
- 40:45Speaker 3: a Kyle flex But no, that's not the number one answer.
- 40:47Speaker 1: What is it.
- 40:48Speaker 6: I mean, come on, if you were to described.
- 40:50Speaker 7: Kyle's fun here's fine.
- 40:54Speaker 6: Funny, a good sense of humor.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what, I was thinking of the same thing,
- 40:56Speaker 1: because I think both Kyle and Peyton. One of the
- 40:59Speaker 1: things I think is attract if it's when you go
- 41:01Speaker 1: with the bit, when somebody goes with the bit, you
- 41:02Speaker 1: say something stupid and then they just roll with it.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I think that's amazing. You are excellent.
- 41:08Speaker 6: That's that's that's true. But I mean she's funny and
- 41:11Speaker 6: laugh out. Yes, that's what I mean.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Sometimes I think it's something she said I laugh by
- 41:16Speaker 3: myself later in the day for sure.
- 41:18Speaker 6: Yeah. So that's it. So can you guys think of
- 41:19Speaker 6: some guy flexes?
- 41:20Speaker 7: I would say, off.
- 41:22Speaker 5: The top of my head, I could think of three
- 41:23Speaker 5: right away. One like a good close relationship with his
- 41:26Speaker 5: family and his parents.
- 41:28Speaker 6: Oh, that's a big one.
- 41:29Speaker 8: I say, if he has a dog and he's really
- 41:31Speaker 8: good with it, that's a big one.
- 41:32Speaker 5: And if he's like hilarious also good around kids things.
- 41:37Speaker 1: And even if it's not that, I think there's a
- 41:39Speaker 1: good flex for for girls too. I think it's attractive
- 41:42Speaker 1: when you you are nice to a kid that's not yours. Yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 1: because that means that you care about the children for sure.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I like that too.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I have three that come to my mind. Two of
- 41:50Speaker 2: that are kind of similar like Kyle. For me, it's
- 41:53Speaker 2: kind of family oriented, but specifically how they treat the
- 41:56Speaker 2: women in their life, your mom, your sister, your auntie's
- 41:59Speaker 2: that's big for me. Another one kind of shallow, is
- 42:03Speaker 2: like when you're like really good at the sport that
- 42:07Speaker 2: you play, like you could be busted really good, it
- 42:11Speaker 2: can kind of make you hot, Like look at some
- 42:13Speaker 2: of these NBA players have back these batties. It's like
- 42:15Speaker 2: you're topped. But if you're good at your sort, you
- 42:20Speaker 2: are fine. And then another one big for me, and
- 42:23Speaker 2: I didn't realize that until I started dating Kadem is
- 42:25Speaker 2: like when I can like turn my brain off, like
- 42:27Speaker 2: when I don't have to be like lights are on,
- 42:29Speaker 2: no one's home. I like to be able to do
- 42:30Speaker 2: that when my man's there because I know he's going
- 42:32Speaker 2: to handle it. I know he's going to take care
- 42:34Speaker 2: of I know he's going to do the thinking for it.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Goes that I got this. Yeah, I think a guy
- 42:39Speaker 6: there's a couple of things.
- 42:39Speaker 3: I think a guy like is a big flex when
- 42:41Speaker 3: a he looks good in a hat, because I think
- 42:43Speaker 3: that's such a hard thing to do. I like what
- 42:47Speaker 3: a guy wears a T shirt and jeans and they
- 42:48Speaker 3: just look cool, you know. Sadly I can't do that
- 42:50Speaker 3: because white's not my color, especially white T shirt.
- 42:54Speaker 6: The heks good.
- 42:54Speaker 3: I also like when they I think it's sexy when
- 42:56Speaker 3: a guy like is a good handyman and can do
- 42:58Speaker 3: all kinds of stuff. Sometimes I'm like, how do you
- 43:01Speaker 3: learn to do all that stuff? How do you know
- 43:02Speaker 3: what screwdriver to use? How do you know like that
- 43:05Speaker 3: kind of stuff? I think he's awesome, you know. Also,
- 43:08Speaker 3: you know it's funny like when you talk about sports.
- 43:10Speaker 3: But I like the guys like all my kids are
- 43:12Speaker 3: like this, and my dad was like this, if we
- 43:13Speaker 3: were walking on the beach and someone was playing catch,
- 43:16Speaker 3: they will participate in the catch with the strangers. Whereas
- 43:19Speaker 3: just an example, I was in San Diego not that
- 43:21Speaker 3: long ago. I'm walking on the beach and there were
- 43:23Speaker 3: three guys playing the football, tossing the football, and one
- 43:26Speaker 3: of the guys tosses the football to me right and
- 43:28Speaker 3: I catch it and I throw it back and I'm like, okay,
- 43:31Speaker 3: now I got to walk back that way and they're
- 43:33Speaker 3: still there. They're gonna throw the football. I went all
- 43:35Speaker 3: the way around the beach so they wouldn't so they
- 43:39Speaker 3: so they would and throw me into football. I was like,
- 43:41Speaker 3: I want to like, I caught the ball. I threw
- 43:43Speaker 3: it back to them. It was a spiral.
- 43:44Speaker 6: He caught it. I'm like, I don't want to be
- 43:46Speaker 6: through that pressure again. I'm on vacation.
- 43:47Speaker 1: That's true.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I don't even that stress. I'm kid with the stress
- 43:51Speaker 3: of not catching the ball, dropping the ball. I literally, dude,
- 43:54Speaker 3: I met to me. I went around, and I walked
- 43:56Speaker 3: off the beach and got on the street, and wrap
- 43:57Speaker 3: passed around and went back on the beach. Story anyway,
- 44:00Speaker 3: what's the flex that a guy or girl has for you?
- 44:04Speaker 3: Call us at eighty seven seven nine three seven one
- 44:06Speaker 3: four seven or text JJR whatever that flexes to nine
- 44:08Speaker 3: six eight nine three.
- 44:11Speaker 11: From the car to the office at win them every morning,
- 44:15Speaker 11: John Jay Rich Yesterday, I was telling you guys all
- 44:17Speaker 11: about these mediums.
- 44:19Speaker 6: This group of mediums.
- 44:20Speaker 3: They got together and they started talking about like the
- 44:22Speaker 3: misconceptions about death right, and I didn't get to it.
- 44:26Speaker 3: And I was so excited to get to it. We
- 44:28Speaker 3: had so many we have so much happening on this
- 44:30Speaker 3: radio show, so much happening.
- 44:32Speaker 6: So I have.
- 44:33Speaker 3: But if you don't know what a medium is, a
- 44:35Speaker 3: medium is a person who claims to act as a
- 44:37Speaker 3: bridge between the physical world and the spiritual realm.
- 44:40Speaker 1: They sense things, right, they just know things. Yeah, so
- 44:42Speaker 1: if a bunch of them got together, they didn't even
- 44:44Speaker 1: need to make a phone call. They showed up the
- 44:45Speaker 1: same spot.
- 44:46Speaker 3: So if anyone on earth knows anything about death, I
- 44:48Speaker 3: guess it would be these guys. So a group of
- 44:50Speaker 3: mediums got together, and these are the things the four
- 44:54Speaker 3: biggest things mediums say they wish they knew about death.
- 44:57Speaker 6: This reminds me.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I keep scrolling on Instagram TikTok, and you see those
- 45:01Speaker 3: creators that tell you how to go viral, and one
- 45:03Speaker 3: of the things they tell you you got to give
- 45:05Speaker 3: them like a number, like so right now, pretend pretend well, actually,
- 45:08Speaker 3: if this is on video right now, look at the
- 45:09Speaker 3: camera and I go, here.
- 45:10Speaker 6: Are the four things you need to know about death?
- 45:12Speaker 3: I see, right, you ever see it. Here are the
- 45:15Speaker 3: five things you do that will kill you about your toothbrush.
- 45:18Speaker 3: So here are the four things the biggest, the four
- 45:21Speaker 3: biggest things. Medium say they wish everyone knew about death.
- 45:25Speaker 3: They believe death isn't the end, to describe it as
- 45:30Speaker 3: a shift instead of goodbye. They say loved ones are
- 45:32Speaker 3: still connected to us, just in a different way. Many
- 45:36Speaker 3: believe signs can show up in dreams, songs, or the
- 45:38Speaker 3: unexpected moments. Right, And I can tell you this. Something
- 45:42Speaker 3: happened me the other day. So I say, I talk
- 45:44Speaker 3: about my barber Arson a lot. Don't talk about Arsenal
- 45:47Speaker 3: a lot. So I go to Scotts Hill barber shop.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Arson is the owner and he cuts my hair. Nown
- 45:54Speaker 3: Before Arson was a guy named Alex, Russian guy, great guy. Well,
- 45:59Speaker 3: one day I and in I was like, where's Alex.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Alex died. That's sad, Alex sid It was really sad,
- 46:05Speaker 3: really sad. So this is about two years ago since
- 46:08Speaker 3: Alex had passed. So I was at the barbershop last week.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Oh johniye live your her. It looks great, thanks guys.
- 46:14Speaker 3: So I was at the barbershop last week. Arson's cut
- 46:17Speaker 3: my hair, and I'm thinking about Alex, and I cannot
- 46:20Speaker 3: remember his name. And I know that he was on
- 46:22Speaker 3: the chair on the fot right, I can't remember Alex's
- 46:24Speaker 3: name it so I'm stuck and I'm like, man, and
- 46:27Speaker 3: I'm like, I wonder why I can't remember his name?
- 46:29Speaker 3: And I'm sitting all by myself while Arsen's cut my hair.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I'm sitting and going, what was his name? And I go,
- 46:33Speaker 3: I wonder if Alex is here in this room. I
- 46:36Speaker 3: wonder if Alex is at the barbershop. And the person
- 46:39Speaker 3: sitting in Alex's chair that's now cutting hair leans over
- 46:42Speaker 3: to Arson and goes Arsen remember when Alex used to
- 46:45Speaker 3: do whatever? And brings up Alex's name.
- 46:47Speaker 8: Right the right, and I was like, Alex, Alex here.
- 46:51Speaker 6: I was like, holy.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Smokes, that's that's That's what I'm talking about. They they're
- 46:54Speaker 3: connected with you in a different way. There are signs
- 46:56Speaker 3: that can show up in dream, songs or unexpected moments.
- 46:58Speaker 8: I feel like that happened in me the other night.
- 47:00Speaker 5: Remember I told you guys, my girlfriends and I we
- 47:02Speaker 5: all got together and did vision boards. We did that
- 47:04Speaker 5: on the anniversary of our good friend's death. And the
- 47:07Speaker 5: day our friend Dawn passed away. My friend Michelle, she
- 47:10Speaker 5: saw like a heart in the clouds and as we're
- 47:13Speaker 5: looking through these magazines, she goes, we were kind of
- 47:16Speaker 5: talking about her for we're talking about don and like,
- 47:18Speaker 5: what you know, beautiful light she was. And all of
- 47:20Speaker 5: a sudden, my friend go was, Oh my gosh, you guys,
- 47:23Speaker 5: I have to cut this out right now. It was
- 47:24Speaker 5: a picture of a heart in the clouds.
- 47:27Speaker 6: That's what I'm talking about.
- 47:28Speaker 3: And you used to say it all the time that
- 47:30Speaker 3: the people in the next little world or in the afterlife,
- 47:33Speaker 3: they contact you.
- 47:34Speaker 6: You just have to pay attention. You have to listen.
- 47:36Speaker 6: You want this, you have to listen. Yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Anyway, So another thing that these mediums sayre the biggest
- 47:40Speaker 3: misconceptions about death is that fear is normal, but don't
- 47:43Speaker 3: let it take over. Medium say, it's natural to wonder
- 47:45Speaker 3: what happens after we die, just don't let don't let
- 47:48Speaker 3: the fear take control.
- 47:49Speaker 6: I think you need a medium to tell you that.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Yeah, unless you're going to ht double hockey sticks, then
- 47:53Speaker 1: you better look out.
- 47:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:54Speaker 3: They also say that they believe pain stays behind. According
- 47:58Speaker 3: to the mediums, once someone dies, their fish in emotional
- 48:00Speaker 3: pain is gone. Some even believe that the soul continues
- 48:03Speaker 3: learning beyond this life. They also say no one crosses
- 48:06Speaker 3: over alone. They say one of the biggest misconceptions is
- 48:10Speaker 3: that people die lonely. Instead, they believe loved ones are
- 48:13Speaker 3: welcome with peace and love. One of the biggest takeaways
- 48:16Speaker 3: is to not worry so much about what happens after
- 48:18Speaker 3: we die, but to focus on the time we've got left.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Come on your motivational speaker.
- 48:23Speaker 1: That sounds like a bumper sticker. That's not some medium stuff.
- 48:26Speaker 3: So I think out of all those four things, the
- 48:29Speaker 3: biggest thing is you gotta listen, because I do believe
- 48:31Speaker 3: they're trying to reach you. If you've got a story
- 48:33Speaker 3: about someone from the afterlife getting a hold of you,
- 48:35Speaker 3: or a sign like I just told you about Alex
- 48:37Speaker 3: or Kyle's friend texted to us gar or whatever that
- 48:40Speaker 3: sign is.
- 48:43Speaker 12: Sometimes flyla Hello, Oh hey, suck y'all.
- 49:05Speaker 6: Suck y'all. Suck y'all. Is that you said suck y'all?
- 49:08Speaker 6: Is there a line?
- 49:09Speaker 2: Yep?
- 49:12Speaker 1: The content?
- 49:13Speaker 6: Okay, So what's up?
- 49:14Speaker 13: So I am a really big thrifting girl like Facebook, marketplace, DVOT.
- 49:21Speaker 13: I'm always getting my staff second hand and so I
- 49:24Speaker 13: bought a random dresser on Facebook Marketplace, of course, because
- 49:29Speaker 13: it was so cute and decently cheap. And when I
- 49:33Speaker 13: got it home, I found an envelope hidden in the back.
- 49:38Speaker 13: I know, it's so exciting, And when I opened it
- 49:41Speaker 13: there was almost two grand in cash.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Oh.
- 49:45Speaker 13: I wanted to keep it.
- 49:46Speaker 14: I know, I wanted to keep it so bad, but
- 49:50Speaker 14: my conscience spoke to me. But at the same time,
- 49:54Speaker 14: it took all the willpower in me to track down
- 49:57Speaker 14: the family to return it.
- 50:00Speaker 13: I had to do it. They let me know that
- 50:02Speaker 13: it was their grandmother's dresser who had just died, and
- 50:06Speaker 13: they had no idea that she was stashing money away,
- 50:09Speaker 13: So like maybe she was running like a secret operation
- 50:12Speaker 13: on the side or something.
- 50:13Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 50:14Speaker 14: I'm hoping that there's a whole family mystery I unlocked.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Well, I got so many questions. I wonder if she
- 50:19Speaker 1: had cash dashed everywhere? And they Facebook marketplaced a weigh
- 50:23Speaker 1: like tens of thousands of dollars.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Oldies do that? Old people do that they had their money.
- 50:28Speaker 3: I don't think she had a secret thing going on.
- 50:30Speaker 3: She was just hiding money.
- 50:31Speaker 8: Did they give you like a reward?
- 50:33Speaker 14: They gave me like twenty bucks. But I was like, nah,
- 50:36Speaker 14: like this is your grandmother.
- 50:37Speaker 13: It's like you should you should keep that.
- 50:39Speaker 18: I have her mother.
- 50:41Speaker 16: This is what I wanted.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Anyway, Finder's key burns when it comes said thifty.
- 50:44Speaker 6: You know, I saw this.
- 50:46Speaker 3: I saw this TikTok video speaking of thrifty. This this
- 50:49Speaker 3: lady went to an estate sale and found an old rolodex.
- 50:53Speaker 3: You know those rolodexes where they's all pieces of papers
- 50:55Speaker 3: and stuff, and it's from a woman, an old grandma
- 50:57Speaker 3: who had died, and so the girl this is blowing
- 51:00Speaker 3: up on TikTok. The woman took the rolodex and decided
- 51:03Speaker 3: to visit all the places they could in the rolodex,
- 51:06Speaker 3: and they went to like cute little coffee shops, they
- 51:09Speaker 3: went to secondhand stores that this woman had capped all
- 51:11Speaker 3: these things in there. Yeah, so you should go visit
- 51:16Speaker 3: all the money. Yeah, it was a cool. It was
- 51:19Speaker 3: a cool thing.
- 51:19Speaker 6: I saw the videos.
- 51:21Speaker 3: He was like watching.
- 51:21Speaker 6: It was like watching a little movie. I was like,
- 51:23Speaker 6: this is really neat.
- 51:24Speaker 3: And she posted all all going all the places like,
- 51:26Speaker 3: you know, do you guys have any cool places in
- 51:28Speaker 3: your phone?
- 51:28Speaker 6: Think about that? Any places like Yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 8: Drop pin from a doctor's office.
- 51:34Speaker 6: Because Rolodexes aren't like they used to be, right, you
- 51:40Speaker 6: just have your phone and not.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Rarely like say, if I'm going to a business or something,
- 51:43Speaker 5: I really saved that business number because I could just
- 51:45Speaker 5: Google it the next time.
- 51:47Speaker 7: Like an address book.
- 51:48Speaker 1: You know we should do. We should have an address
- 51:50Speaker 1: on Google and just go there.
- 51:51Speaker 3: No, but like if you look at your phone, like, oh,
- 51:52Speaker 3: here I have someone named Hally from American Airlines.
- 51:56Speaker 6: I don't know who that is. We should go visit her?
- 51:59Speaker 8: Would be like a little nervous.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I have that.
- 52:04Speaker 6: There's got to no bit. You guys don't have businesses.
- 52:06Speaker 1: In your Holly the one that denied us access into
- 52:08Speaker 1: the Centurion.
- 52:09Speaker 6: Large Arizona minibike. Let's go visit Arizona mini bike. That
- 52:14Speaker 6: was it.
- 52:14Speaker 3: That's in my rolodex now, non, you can't be a
- 52:18Speaker 3: person's name. Look for a company. You guys don't have companies.
- 52:20Speaker 8: I know I have Moxie pet Control.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I gotta say, I'm impressed that you have anything listed
- 52:25Speaker 1: that it actually is in your phone. I know that's
- 52:27Speaker 1: actually impressive to me. Big CRIMEO go I have I
- 52:30Speaker 1: don't have to build a battery guy, battery guy. You
- 52:36Speaker 1: just still grab batteries somewhere.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I got a golf card from him. My
- 52:43Speaker 3: dentist one Stop Nutrition, I have that in there. There
- 52:46Speaker 3: you go, Orange theory.
- 52:48Speaker 6: Back in the day.
- 52:49Speaker 8: I have habits salon.
- 52:51Speaker 6: See that's good.
- 52:52Speaker 1: See businesses, all of Kyle's places, we could pretty much guess.
- 52:55Speaker 1: I know, I know you don't have a salon. You
- 52:57Speaker 1: got the doctor, you got a Jimi Compstacks place. I
- 53:00Speaker 1: got Taylor's Cafe, which isn't there anymore. Cat's Cafe is
- 53:04Speaker 1: now La La Land.
- 53:07Speaker 8: Yeah, it's this I don't I wish I had.
- 53:10Speaker 3: I need to do more more businesses. Yeah, here's Natalie CBD,
- 53:14Speaker 3: Kyle's friend.
- 53:17Speaker 8: That's a good number to have.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you better get that CBD fast.
- 53:19Speaker 5: I think she's no by the I think by November
- 53:22Speaker 5: they're all not allowed to sell CBD anymore.
- 53:23Speaker 8: What Yeah, Yeah, there was like to be something that passed.
- 53:27Speaker 5: It's like literally all the CBD businesses are going to
- 53:30Speaker 5: be gone terrible legal, Like, yeah, they're going to ban it.
- 53:35Speaker 8: Why, I don't know.
- 53:36Speaker 7: That doesn't make any sense.
- 53:38Speaker 6: Wait, weed is legal. Weed is going to be legal
- 53:41Speaker 6: and CBD not legal?
- 53:42Speaker 7: Correct, that's bizarre, buy your CD in.
- 53:44Speaker 1: The streets stock up right now.
- 53:47Speaker 6: Now there's gonna be like CBD, Who's your Who's your?
- 53:49Speaker 6: CBD plus dealer had.
- 53:52Speaker 8: The two Genesis again. Dot comtet stuck.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Up because it's that's what I did. I got a
- 53:57Speaker 1: good stash of the little uh the Droppers from her.
- 54:00Speaker 5: Wow.
- 54:00Speaker 6: Well, Leila, thanks for calling in, thanks for listening, and
- 54:04Speaker 6: you did a good time.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Thank y'all.
- 54:05Speaker 2: What ahead?
- 54:06Speaker 6: You did a good thing, returning that money, good thing,
- 54:08Speaker 6: returning the money. Thank you.
- 54:09Speaker 3: I have audio the TikTok story I was telling you
- 54:11Speaker 3: about the Lady Show. This New York City woman named
- 54:14Speaker 3: Mari found a Rollodex at an estate sale filled with
- 54:17Speaker 3: closed down and forgotten businesses. She's now going through one
- 54:21Speaker 3: by one to discover the favorite businesses of the woman
- 54:23Speaker 3: who owned the Rollo deeps.
- 54:24Speaker 2: I just Rollodeck had in the state sale, and it
- 54:26Speaker 2: has a bunch of recommendations for New York City businesses.
- 54:29Speaker 7: I thought it would be fun to go check them out.
- 54:30Speaker 7: First up on the list tiny Dollhouse, which is New
- 54:33Speaker 7: York City's only ministry store.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Okay, and literally right next door is ore Washer's Bakery,
- 54:37Speaker 2: which she also had a card for so let's check
- 54:39Speaker 2: it out.
- 54:39Speaker 10: The most popular items the traveler.
- 54:41Speaker 7: For cookie, Let's try it roll bum pay in.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Our last off of the day is Fabulous Fannies.
- 54:46Speaker 7: It's the world's largest collection of vintage ewear.
- 54:49Speaker 2: I am so curious how all of these tied into
- 54:51Speaker 2: our state sale lady's life.
- 54:53Speaker 7: Lucky for me, there are so many more cards.
- 54:55Speaker 10: So we're going to keep getting to know her.
- 54:57Speaker 6: See that's fun. Let's go through our phones and go
- 55:00Speaker 6: visit places. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 55:08Speaker 8: Coffy and hands ear buzz on John.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Jay and Rich.
- 55:12Speaker 6: Good morning, John Jay and Rich. Can I help you?
- 55:14Speaker 12: Good morning?
- 55:15Speaker 3: Hi?
- 55:15Speaker 11: Fine, I were called mining tailor.
- 55:18Speaker 16: I was calling in because I had a little bit
- 55:20Speaker 16: of a same situation kind of with jewelry, Like Kyle, So.
- 55:26Speaker 6: Are you talking about her finger, her wedding ring?
- 55:28Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I've been wearing my ring for almost fourteen
- 55:31Speaker 5: years and all of a sudden, my skin underneath has
- 55:33Speaker 5: gotten so irritated.
- 55:34Speaker 8: It's like red and itchy and like the skin's peeling off.
- 55:38Speaker 6: But I noticed, yeah, said ring is on your finger.
- 55:41Speaker 8: Now, I made it happen because somebody DMed me that there.
- 55:44Speaker 5: That happened to them too, and then it was she
- 55:46Speaker 5: thought it was a sign she was supposed to get
- 55:47Speaker 5: a divorced.
- 55:48Speaker 8: Then she got a divorce and I was like, well,
- 55:49Speaker 8: I will wear this ring.
- 55:51Speaker 6: No matter what.
- 55:52Speaker 3: You know, what's funny is that, A your hand is
- 55:54Speaker 3: extremely tan. B your ring looks humongous and shiny, like
- 55:57Speaker 3: extra shining that I cleaned it just in case.
- 56:00Speaker 7: But what happened to you?
- 56:01Speaker 18: So?
- 56:01Speaker 16: I actually had a belly button ring since the age
- 56:04Speaker 16: of sixteen. I'm thirty three now, and I all of
- 56:10Speaker 16: a sudden got I don't know how, but allergic to
- 56:14Speaker 16: that silver and it actually worked its way all the
- 56:17Speaker 16: way almost out of my belly button and it was
- 56:19Speaker 16: red and itchy.
- 56:21Speaker 5: So did you do something to correct it or you
- 56:24Speaker 5: just had to like never wear that specific type of
- 56:26Speaker 5: metal again.
- 56:27Speaker 16: I can't wear that metal anymore, so I wear mostly
- 56:30Speaker 16: like gold plated.
- 56:31Speaker 8: Maybe I need to go to Olive av and get
- 56:32Speaker 8: a different ring.
- 56:33Speaker 7: Yeah, you got to go get a new ring.
- 56:41Speaker 1: It does cause a race.
- 56:44Speaker 11: Okay, I'm going to keep trying it for your husband
- 56:47Speaker 11: for me.
- 56:47Speaker 6: Yeah, So did you end up ever getting another belly
- 56:51Speaker 6: button ring or no?
- 56:53Speaker 16: No, no, because it worked its way out so much
- 56:55Speaker 16: to wear as barely a slipper of skin, have to
- 57:00Speaker 16: get it stitch back up.
- 57:02Speaker 3: The thing is.
- 57:03Speaker 6: But see here's what the difference is. Kyle's wearing it
- 57:05Speaker 6: on her finger.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Yours was like, so, I think it's your The human
- 57:07Speaker 3: body is pushing it out, like when you get a splinter.
- 57:09Speaker 3: A lot of times your body would just push the
- 57:11Speaker 3: splinter out because it's not supposed to be there. So
- 57:12Speaker 3: you have this, You have this piece of thing in
- 57:15Speaker 3: your body that's pushing it out. Kyle just has his ring.
- 57:18Speaker 3: I guess maybe it's maybe it's it's interesting because it's
- 57:21Speaker 3: like there's a rat.
- 57:21Speaker 16: It happens on my neck too. I was getting rashes
- 57:24Speaker 16: on my neck. It's silver jewelry. I can't wear it.
- 57:26Speaker 6: Will you wear it?
- 57:27Speaker 3: When you're doing nothing where you're trying to extend your
- 57:29Speaker 3: neck and make it really long, and you kept putting
- 57:30Speaker 3: rings around your neck like they do in the tribes
- 57:32Speaker 3: in Africa, and then you can.
- 57:34Speaker 6: Get this rash.
- 57:35Speaker 16: But now I have you know, I hear if they
- 57:36Speaker 16: take those rings off, their neck will snap.
- 57:38Speaker 6: That's what I heard.
- 57:39Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, that's crazy.
- 57:42Speaker 10: Oh no, I will not be doing that, right Taylor, Well,
- 57:44Speaker 10: thanks for calling in all right, bye, I love you guys.
- 57:48Speaker 6: Ali, good morning, how good morning.
- 57:51Speaker 10: I love you guys.
- 57:52Speaker 11: Thank you so much for being so great on the radio.
- 57:54Speaker 11: You guys are always so much fun to listen to.
- 57:57Speaker 11: And so you ask for an interesting story about when
- 57:59Speaker 11: I wedy got hot cheating. Now, technically it wasn't me
- 58:02Speaker 11: who got fought, but I was the person who basically
- 58:06Speaker 11: got the other.
- 58:07Speaker 9: Person in trouble, if that makes sense.
- 58:09Speaker 1: And so I was.
- 58:11Speaker 11: It was my very best friend and she was dating
- 58:13Speaker 11: another friend of mine. Well, he wanted to kind of
- 58:17Speaker 11: get to know another friend of mine, So I invited
- 58:19Speaker 11: that other friend over to my house when I knew
- 58:22Speaker 11: that the original girlfriend was busy, and we were all
- 58:26Speaker 11: like hanging out.
- 58:27Speaker 10: Was totally like innocent.
- 58:28Speaker 11: We were just chatting and hanging out. But then somehow
- 58:31Speaker 11: my phone but dialed the original girlfriend while we were
- 58:36Speaker 11: hanging out, and it basically left her a voicemail. And
- 58:41Speaker 11: you can hear us all giggling, you can hear us
- 58:43Speaker 11: all laughing, and at one point somebody said, oh, we
- 58:45Speaker 11: better not tell so and so about this because she's
- 58:48Speaker 11: going to get really mad, and left an entire voicemail
- 58:52Speaker 11: calling everything else that we had done. So then we
- 58:56Speaker 11: all go home and then I get a call, probably
- 58:58Speaker 11: about two or three.
- 58:58Speaker 7: In the morning.
- 59:00Speaker 11: It's the original girlfriend and she said, so, I'm gonna
- 59:03Speaker 11: ask you one question one time, and I want the
- 59:06Speaker 11: honest answer, and if you're not honest with me, I
- 59:08Speaker 11: am never going to talk to you ever again. And
- 59:11Speaker 11: so she asked me, did you and my boyfriend hang
- 59:14Speaker 11: out with that other girl tonight? And I'm a terrible liar,
- 59:17Speaker 11: and I said, yep, we sure did. We did, but
- 59:20Speaker 11: it was totally innocent. Nothing happened. I was there the
- 59:22Speaker 11: whole time.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 59:24Speaker 11: But yeah, I definitely got them in trouble and that
- 59:26Speaker 11: was my fault forgetting the butt dial.
- 59:27Speaker 6: Noise nond So who ended up with who at the
- 59:29Speaker 6: end of the story.
- 59:31Speaker 11: So I actually ended up with the original girlfriend. She's
- 59:33Speaker 11: still my best friend.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Oh okay, wait, but you weren't being like innocent about
- 59:39Speaker 2: it at first, right, Like you were introducing your other
- 59:41Speaker 2: friend to this guy because you thought maybe they would
- 59:43Speaker 2: mess a little bit.
- 59:45Speaker 10: Yeah, a little bit.
- 59:45Speaker 11: I was a little messy on my part. We were
- 59:49Speaker 11: really young, so, you know, trying to be a good
- 59:52Speaker 11: friend to my homeboy right, Yeah, was a little messy
- 59:56Speaker 11: on my part, but so actually my homeboy and your
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: original girlfriend did actually end up staying together and had
- 1:00:03Speaker 11: a kids and there you know, in love and all
