- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and then I want to um share with our listeners um your testimony today?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Certainly.

- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I attended study Colorado first semester and then in 2010 studied off like any other Sunday.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Woke up, went to church, had lunch at a buddy's house, and then went to a robe with you at the family arena and tied out the first steel and rubbed him flicker on the horns and unbeknownst to me the robe had put the head under his leg and so when the rope came tight he dug the horse down and the sudden wheel loss of my brain gone from one side of my head to the other, cause massive bleeding at their brain stamp.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: I spent two weeks in ITU in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and then almost four months at Cague Habilitation Hospital in Englewood, Colorado.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: And since then I've been home getting better, getting stronger every day.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Um I want to be.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I bet that's that's hard.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: It's a challenge.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: Uh you know what I love most is that you you just have such a strong faith, and and I love your the scripture that you chose, 413.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: I can do all things through Christ that strengthened me.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: And um I think that God is gonna strengthen you every single day as you continue on your journey in building up that endurance to to get back to where you want to be.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm excited to follow and see you.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: So one day I'll I'll I'll get to see you rope again.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: So with with all that in mind, um, as you're getting up every day, do you do you practice every day?
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: Do you have a routine now?
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: Do you have a coach?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: I kinda have my parents and the coaches.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: They are tough on me.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Oh good.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And then every excuse.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Oh so I can't get away with nothing.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Aw.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: But it's good I wouldn't have it any other way.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: If it's not hard, it's probably not worth your time doing it.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: So I I see that um you have a sponsor through um um is the is the actual company is it frontier or is it what is the name of the company that sponsors you?
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: The coffee company.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: I don't have a coffee sponsor me.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Except so the front team is my own coffee company.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's your own company?
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, ma'am.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Oh, awesome.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: That is really awesome.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: So you are actually the CEO of that company.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Yes, by default.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: How do you like that?
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: Do you drink a lot of coffee?
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: I'm only limited to cup of cup today.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, gotcha.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: But they're big cups.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: Try to get the biggest cup you could find.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: I love my coffee.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, what made you decide to um to um start your own coffee company?
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: I wanted an avenue to share how amazing God was in history, and I started off with coffee mugs and then husband and t-shirts, and then scanty happened to fall into the coffee world, and was so glad I did because now I love it.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I went to probably 20-25 rosters before I found the one I'm with now.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: And he is really good now.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: And the carby is super good, and I'm still looking at learning the fronting.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: The quality is so good right now.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: I tell people it disturbed quality ads for disperses.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Did you design those cups?
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, ma'am.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: I do the design.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: That's pretty awesome.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I love your I love your logo and I love um all of the designs that you you've created for that.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Um it's amazing.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: I I haven't tried the coffee yet, but now I want to.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: What's your favorite one?
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: You have four roasts or something like that.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: I think you have like four, I think.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: I have four of my roasts.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Uh depending on the mood I'm in.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: That's pretty good.
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: What's your favorite?
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: So so you don't really have a favorite out of the four because it just depends on how you're feeling that day.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: What I'd like to do is make some.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Oh god, now I'm taking two scoops of BB and one scoop of Frontier.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: That's a really good roast.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Now, do you do do you like your coffee black?
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: Or do you like creamers or any of that with it?
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Creamers, no way.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: I put two outs of the caramel into it.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: And that makes it so good.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Caramel's my favorite choice of topping for my coffee, too.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: I think a lot of people can agree with that.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: So going forward, um, as you're going through your training, do you do you s do you have a goal set in mind for for um how long your journey might be, or what what's your next steps?
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: My goals were the timing went out the window.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: But 10 years ago, I was hoping to be back within a year.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: And then it turned into two years.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Now we're going at 20.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: But you still haven't given up, and yeah, and I'm I'm I'm so excited because a lot of people, I I I've been around a lot of people that when they have an accident, um, they shift gears or they just throw in the towel.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: They basically hang up their hat.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: And that's not you, is it?
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Give up is nothing, my vocabulary.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: A lot of people need to hear this message because I think we give up too quickly sometimes.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think it's a better choice to to keep pressing forward.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: Do you still go to the rodeos?
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Do you still go to the rodeos?
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Yes, and I have a junior rodeo in my name.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Just take a Saturday to like.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: So if anybody would like to donate to help out with it, feel free to contact me.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: That's really awesome.
- 13:51SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Now can they for the kids?
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: Can they um get that information through your website?
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Uh not really.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: They had contact me.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: Okay, because I'll I'll get that information and I'll make sure that I put that information in our show notes so people can reach out.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, great.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: What made you decide to um start doing podcast guesting?
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Just to know that I've a need to share my story and share the love of God.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Have you ever thought about going into the ministry and being a preacher?
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: I have many times.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: But I hate funerals.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: I don't do baptism.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, funerals don't don't I don't think that would be the funnest funnest thing to do, huh?
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: I don't do weddings.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: You don't do weddings.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: But I love that you share the the word of God with people.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's huge.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: It's very important.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: Um, a lot of people um that I know we call ourselves Christians, but yet we don't share the word of God with people.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: It's so important.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: How long have you been a Christian for?
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Since 2001.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: I I'm just I'm I'm in such awe by you that I'm almost speechless, which is unusual for me to be quiet.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: So um, I love that your website is is a faith-based um uh website in that your your your brand is based off from your faith.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: Your your company is based off from your faith, and you living is based off from your faith.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: And a lot of people they don't, you know, sometimes when we give in to life, we forget that it's our faith that's what's gonna pull us through.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, ma'am.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: Can you share any of that with us today?
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: My faith is everything to me.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: And so many times people get hurt that they say they tend to live faith.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Well, I have to depend on my faith every single day for every little thing, for even getting out of bed.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: I have to have God help me, and He is so faithful to do it.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: His blessings are new every morning.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: So I love getting up in the morning now to see what God has blessed me with that day.
- 17:01SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's amazing.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: I know I know there's times in my life where I had a hard time getting out of bed because I I lacked in my own faith in my own areas of life, you know.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I'm sure that it can be challenging at times.
- 17:19unknown: Yeah.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: Go ahead.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say I don't sleep much anymore.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, only about five hours.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: I go to bed at eleven of four but every day.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: Do you have a a specific routine that you have to follow now?
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Uh it's kind of a routine, but it's not dedicated, I don't follow it.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: It's kind of I go by the seeds of my past most of the time.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: That's good.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: You kind of just do what you want to do, huh?
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: What do you like to do in your pastime?
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: Do you like to read?
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Do you do do what do you like to do?
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Listen to music?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Mostly think and talk to God.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: I tell people now.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: I don't pray just once in a while.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I started a prayer many years ago.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: And it's still ongoing.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: I just always talk to God.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Always wanting to talk to me.
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: That's a really good way to look at that because um I actually have done a lesson uh um in my other podcast about prayer, and it's been an ongoing.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: And I love that you say that because there's so much in the Bible about prayer.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: There's how to pray, when to pray, what to pray, who, you know, you know, what's the best time of day, where to pray at, um, what to pray for.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: And um I I gave an example to a friend of mine that when I got saved, um, I was 10 years old when I got saved.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: I was at a Billy Graham Cruise saying yes.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: And I remember that day we were sitting up in the nosebleed section of the arena, and I was with my grandmother, and I was like, I gotta go down there, I gotta meet Jesus.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: Jesus is waiting for me.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: So I ran down to get meet Jesus.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: I was so excited as a little kid.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: And I remember ever since that day, Jesus has just been my best friend all the all the way, you know, all my good days and bad days.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Yes, indeed.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: So I can see what you say.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: I I could totally relate with you when you say that that's when your prayer started and it's never ended, you know.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I think that's wonderful.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: I feel like um, because when I talk to God, like I talk to God like I'm talking to you.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: I don't know how about how you talk to God, but I just talk to him all the time.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Before God was way off in heaven, after I got hurt, he was right there in front of me where I could see, and we just touched him, and he was so real, and he became talking to a real person, and I pray he's right there in front of me.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: I really love that.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Now, have you have you thought about um going back to to doing any schooling or are you just working on roping?
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: Or um I know you were we talked about you have goals, but there's probably many things that you want to do.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: I went back to school for class.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: I took microeconomics ten years ago and say that was the only class I took.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: I got an A.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: Oh good job.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: But I'm aged at school now.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: I'm thirty five.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're the age of my k of my my adult children.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: My my oldest daughter's thirty four.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm excited that um you you just keep pressing forward.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: Do you have any hobbies?
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: My hobbies were roughing.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: But now they become watching movies, visiting friends, podcasting, doing my business.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: Have you thought about starting your own podcast or have you already have you already contemplated that?
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Contemplated it many times.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: The problem is I'm not very tech savvy.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: Me neither.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: I've done not really how to do it.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Everything costs money every time to have.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: So to hire someone to do the cost money to dive.
- 23:18SPEAKER_02: Huh.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: Well, if you ever get interested and you want to you want to dive into that, you let me know and I'll help you.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Thank you, ma'am.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: I think you'd be a great podcasting host.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you could talk about all kinds of stuff.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: And I bet your favorite topic would be to talk about God.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: That's the only topic.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: That's my favorite topic.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: I I talk to a lot of people, and Crushing Strongholds is that podcast where people like yourself get to tell their testimonies.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: And I think that there's a lot of people that are out there that struggle and um are facing their own trials and tribulations.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I think they forget to take God with them.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: And I think that's the problem, is we we leave God up on the shelf or in the corner, and and they don't realize that if they they just reached out to God, their their their struggles would not be so hard.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: You hit the nail right on the head.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: I'm just glad that you had God.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: I'm in the mission to do is let everyone know that they have no reason to give up on God.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Because he will give up on Eve.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Now I have a question.
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: When when this accident happened, was there ever a point in your time, did you ever feel like you were mad at God for this happening to you?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: No way.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: No?
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: There's been plenty tons of question here.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: But I've always turned it around to the why me became why not me.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: When I questioned the why did this happen to me?
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: It became why did this not happen to me?
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: I am so strong in his eyes.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: And I took it as a path on the back from God.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: That's a good way to look at that.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: Such a positive attitude because I know I know m many people that are completely opposite of that.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: You know, they throw in the towel and they just quit.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: And you don't seem like the quit, quit and type.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Quit is not in my vocabulary.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: That's what you said.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: I love that you have that ambition and and you I love that you just still want to continue to live life no matter what, no matter what it is.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: And you seem to enjoy it.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like you want to live.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: You must as well have fun.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Yep, might as well have fun.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: That's a good way to look at it too.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: Um, do you ever have days that that just seem harder than other days?
