- 0:00Speaker 1: Now ron verb on news radio 570 wkbn and from
- 0:07Speaker 1: news radio 570 wkbn and ron verb back to it
- 0:11Speaker 1: after a few days off and what a glorious day
- 0:14Speaker 1: we have going on in our neck of the woods
- 0:15Speaker 1: here we couldn't be happier about that and so what
- 0:19Speaker 1: are we sitting with 65 degrees currently on news radio
- 0:21Speaker 1: 570 wkbn that's is terrific, isn't it? On this October 6th,
- 0:27Speaker 1: very comfortable day out there. Good to be back with you. 330-729-9977. 330-729-9977.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We'll get you through to us on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So we encourage you to pick up the phone and
- 0:41Speaker 1: give us a call. I guess the Trumpster is coming
- 0:44Speaker 1: to town, huh? The Trumpster is coming to town on Monday. And,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you know, here's what I'm putting together in my head.
- 0:51Speaker 1: How about this? Now, this is what I'm thinking. He's
- 0:57Speaker 1: supposed to speak at 6 o'clock, and I believe, I believe,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I believe, if that's the case, we'll carry the speech.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Usually these things run late, so you never can tell.
- 1:08Speaker 1: But anyway, he's supposed to speak at 6 o'clock. But
- 1:12Speaker 1: I guess the Covelli Center officially opens for people to
- 1:16Speaker 1: show up at 2.30 on a Monday afternoon, which I
- 1:20Speaker 1: don't know how that works out because there are a
- 1:22Speaker 1: lot of people working. I mean, don't people have jobs?
- 1:26Speaker 1: But maybe they take a vacation. Who knows? But traditionally
- 1:29Speaker 1: they have jobs. I mean, Monday at 2.30. So we
- 1:33Speaker 1: shall see how many people show up or how the
- 1:35Speaker 1: crowd is. But I'm thinking about covering like the pre-Trump
- 1:45Speaker 1: stuff down at the Covelli Center and deputizing as my
- 1:48Speaker 1: cub reporters.
- 1:50Speaker 2: G2.
- 1:51Speaker 3: G2.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Possibly, possibly the boss lady as well, and possibly J.J.
- 2:01Speaker 1: the Trumpster. Could you imagine those three down there covering
- 2:05Speaker 1: the pre-get-together for Trump's big speech at 6 o'clock? Possibly,
- 2:13Speaker 1: that might be some of the best coverage you'll ever
- 2:16Speaker 1: find anywhere if we pull that together. Could be some
- 2:19Speaker 1: of the best coverage arounds. So we shall see. He's
- 2:23Speaker 1: coming on Monday to the Covelli Center. So they say, what,
- 2:28Speaker 1: 2.30 is when he can start to show up. I'm
- 2:30Speaker 1: sure he's got to go through screening and all that
- 2:32Speaker 1: kind of stuff to get in. And then he's supposed
- 2:34Speaker 1: to speak at 6 o'clock. So that means what? He
- 2:36Speaker 1: flies into probably the airbase at 5.15 or whatever and
- 2:42Speaker 1: then takes a car up there, goes and speaks and leaves.
- 2:45Speaker 1: So we shall see. We shall see. And he's making
- 2:49Speaker 1: the pitch, hey, I'm not on a ballot, but you've
- 2:54Speaker 1: got to get out and vote like I was on
- 2:55Speaker 1: the ballot. This is his argument that he's making. This
- 2:59Speaker 1: is the argument that he's making because obviously he says
- 3:02Speaker 1: he's got to get out and start working for some
- 3:04Speaker 1: of these guys because it's just not looking good. in
- 3:12Speaker 1: a lot of areas, particularly the red state of Ohio.
- 3:15Speaker 1: If you believe the polls and at this point in time,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the polls say that's Amy Acton's ahead Democrats and shared
- 3:22Speaker 1: Browns ahead Democrats in this so-called red states of Ohio.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So is that a lot of people disenfranchised with the
- 3:30Speaker 1: lack of action from the Republicans or the inflation or
- 3:34Speaker 1: whatever it might be hard to say, hard to say, but, uh, anyways,
- 3:39Speaker 1: coming obviously to campaign for, um, John Husted, probably Ramaswamy,
- 3:47Speaker 1: throw that in there too. And so this is going
- 3:51Speaker 1: to be on Monday. We shall see. I'll be curious
- 3:54Speaker 1: how that turnout is on Monday. And he's just trying
- 3:58Speaker 1: to light up at the base, if you will, to
- 4:00Speaker 1: get out and vote. A lot of people are discouraged, obviously,
- 4:03Speaker 1: because of the economic situation right now and the inflation.
- 4:08Speaker 1: But we shall see. I mean, we shall see what happens.
- 4:12Speaker 1: All right. You're on the air.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Hello, Rob. Thanks for taking my call.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I got a news article recently from a website, Freightways.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's a trucking newsletter site. I sit here at the headline.
- 4:26Speaker 2: 16 trucking companies hit bankruptcy court in less than a month.
- 4:31Speaker 2: This is between late August and September 21. Recent filings
- 4:36Speaker 2: include Goldmaster, Oco Transport, Expedite Express, several Texas Carriers, 16
- 4:43Speaker 2: delivery and transfer companies entered bankruptcy between late August, except 21,
- 4:48Speaker 2: according to federal court filings, court records reviewed by Freightways.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It's like a trucking newsletter. I thought I'd share that
- 4:57Speaker 2: with you.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So what are you saying to me? Do you think
- 5:00Speaker 1: it's because of diesel prices?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, it's exactly what it's like. High diesel prices.
- 5:07Speaker 2: People are struggling. Trucker companies are struggling now. And meanwhile,
- 5:15Speaker 2: Iran's still hitting oil tankers in the street in one move.
- 5:19Speaker 2: They hit 11 last week.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So what do you think the future holds?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Not looking good. Troubles times, I think. I think it's
- 5:31Speaker 2: a good time to be storing up some food. You
- 5:33Speaker 2: might see empty shelves there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Really? I mean, that's, I don't know. I got to
- 5:39Speaker 1: tell you this when I hear that, though. I mean,
- 5:42Speaker 1: there's plenty of cars on the road everywhere I go.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I mean, there's plenty of cars and there's plenty of trucks.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I mean, I don't see a shortage of vehicles. Even
- 5:51Speaker 1: when gas was more expensive than it is now, and
- 5:54Speaker 1: even when diesel was close to $ 7 a gallon or six-something,
- 5:59Speaker 1: when I looked around, I didn't see a shortage of trucks,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and I didn't see a shortage of cars. I mean, obviously,
- 6:03Speaker 1: people got to go to work. Obviously, people got to
- 6:05Speaker 1: go to the grocery stores and get supplies, as they say.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And obviously, trucks have to bring that, and they add
- 6:11Speaker 1: surcharges on to whoever they're delivering to to cover kind
- 6:15Speaker 1: of the cost of their diesel.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Do you sense that, in that sense, it's hard to
- 6:22Speaker 1: imagine that there's going to be any major issues? Your thoughts?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Well, the Strait of Hormuz is still closed.
- 6:27Speaker 4: The oil is not getting out.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Eventually, it's going to hit the fan.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I thought they were saying that a lot of ships
- 6:35Speaker 1: were getting through there with the military escort.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Not an according article. I got here from New York Times.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Tanks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz escalate. At
- 6:44Speaker 2: least 11 ships have come under attack in the Strait
- 6:48Speaker 2: over the past week. Iran's still hitting oil tankers. They're
- 6:54Speaker 2: not going to let it, as long as there's not
- 6:55Speaker 2: a peace thing, they're still going to attack them. They're
- 6:57Speaker 2: going to control it.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Very interesting. I mean, so you were thinking more difficult
- 7:05Speaker 1: economic times are ahead.
- 7:06Speaker 5: I agree.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I think so. I think next year, end of this
- 7:10Speaker 2: year and next year is going to.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Be off the charts, I think.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's going to come to a head here soon.
- 7:15Speaker 1: There's always a possibility that it could be resolved between
- 7:18Speaker 1: then and now, wouldn't you think? I mean, you know,
- 7:21Speaker 1: to give a counter argument, you got to believe that
- 7:24Speaker 1: certainly Iran is suffering economically as well, wouldn't you? Because
- 7:28Speaker 1: of I mean, it would seem to me that they're
- 7:30Speaker 1: not they're losing billions of dollars. And how are they
- 7:34Speaker 1: paying their army and their people? I mean, that's at
- 7:38Speaker 1: some point, isn't there a breaking point?
- 7:41Speaker 2: Well, you'd think so, but I still stand strong. I'm
- 7:45Speaker 2: not giving up.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I tell you this, so even with everything you're saying,
- 7:48Speaker 1: do you think I would go vote for Sherrod Brown?
- 7:52Speaker 2: No, I mean, I wouldn't vote either for him.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Under no circumstances would I vote for a Democrat because
- 8:00Speaker 1: they hate fossil fuels, and they say they hate fossil fuels.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I mean, Biden said it, and all the regulations that
- 8:06Speaker 1: they put down are against fossil fuels. I mean, so
- 8:09Speaker 1: I'm supposed to say because of this war situation, I
- 8:12Speaker 1: always put the comma in. I got to do it now.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I don't know everything they know. I mean, I can
- 8:18Speaker 1: have an opinion, but I'm not on the inside. And
- 8:21Speaker 1: I give you my thoughts about it. I'm opposed to
- 8:23Speaker 1: the war. But the reality is I don't know everything
- 8:26Speaker 1: they know. And the reality is you think I would
- 8:31Speaker 1: vote for Democrats who hate fossil fuels, who want to
- 8:35Speaker 1: regulate them right out of business? You think I'd be
- 8:37Speaker 1: better off? With a party that had the open border,
- 8:41Speaker 1: with a party that told me anything sexually goes, with
- 8:45Speaker 1: a party that just economically created a lot of this inflation,
- 8:51Speaker 1: with their economic policies, with a party that says we
- 8:54Speaker 1: hire based on the color of your skin or if
- 8:56Speaker 1: you're gay or transgender, not your merit. You think I'd
- 9:00Speaker 1: ever vote for that? I mean, there'd be no way
- 9:02Speaker 1: in hell. Couldn't do it. Wouldn't do it.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Well, one thing, this war is playing right into the
- 9:07Speaker 2: globalist's hands. They want a one-world order, and they don't
- 9:10Speaker 2: want people driving cars. They believe in global warming.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Riding bicycles and walking. It's playing right into their hands.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I actually think it might be orchestrated from behind the
- 9:21Speaker 2: scenes for it to bring in their end-time beast system.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Well, I certainly... Anything's possible, but I still go back
- 9:29Speaker 1: to that. I mean, I still go back to... I mean,
- 9:32Speaker 1: when I go to the store, there's no shortage of anything,
- 9:34Speaker 1: and I still see people buying. I mean, planes are flying.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I mean, it's just— We'll see what happens next year.
- 9:43Speaker 1: All right. I'm with you on that. I'm not saying— am I.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Concerned?
- 9:49Speaker 1: My answer to that would be absolutely. Keep me in
- 9:52Speaker 1: the loop. Thank you for your contribution.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Anyway, check out the article, Freight Waves, W-A-V-E-S. It's a
- 9:57Speaker 2: trucking newsletter.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Wait a second here. Wait a second here. Freight Waves
- 10:02Speaker 1: with a Z. Freight Waves.
- 10:05Speaker 2: All right. W-A-V-E-S with a V.
- 10:08Speaker 1: W-A-V-E-S. Oh, Freight Waves. Waves.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:13Speaker 5: All right.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'll look for it.
- 10:14Speaker 2: 16 companies found bankruptcy.
- 10:15Speaker 7: All right.
- 10:16Speaker 1: All right. I appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a liberal paper.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You don't know. You just make that up. You made
- 10:27Speaker 1: that up. You never read Freight Waves.
- 10:33Speaker 4: I know I do.
- 10:33Speaker 5: I'm not a trucker.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I know, so you don't know that it's a liberal paper.
- 10:37Speaker 5: I was saying that as a joke.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Well, I didn't take it as one.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I'm trying to be funny here. I'm not interested in
- 10:45Speaker 5: throwing up on you, Ron. I want to be kind
- 10:47Speaker 5: to you. I decided... To change your attitude towards you.
- 10:51Speaker 5: I'm going to be kind to you.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Does that mean I have to be nice
- 10:54Speaker 1: back to you?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Well, that would be... When they say what you give out,
- 10:58Speaker 5: you give back.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Well, you might then. Okay, I'll try my best. It's
- 11:02Speaker 1: Bubba Ganoush. Are you going to go to the big
- 11:05Speaker 1: Trump rally on Monday at 6 o'clock? Are you supposed
- 11:08Speaker 1: to speak? Are you going to go to that?
- 11:10Speaker 5: Well, first of all, You didn't mention me as one
- 11:13Speaker 5: of your commentators, and I'm ticked.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Well, that's right, because I'm well aware that you only
- 11:19Speaker 1: have one leg. You can't get around that good.
- 11:21Speaker 5: I got one leg to stand on, but I still
- 11:24Speaker 5: got a brain.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but I understand that. But I have to have
- 11:27Speaker 1: reporters down there that can move in the blink of
- 11:30Speaker 1: an eye to cover this.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You remind me of that movie, Real Lobo, Stumpy.
- 11:40Speaker 5: And John Wayne says, no, you can't come to this.
- 11:43Speaker 7: He says, why not?
- 11:44Speaker 5: He goes, because you've got to move quick. You know,
- 11:47Speaker 5: when you're in the jail, you could just sit here
- 11:49Speaker 5: with the shotgun. But when you're out there, you've got
- 11:52Speaker 5: to move quick. And he goes, okay, I get it. Okay,
- 11:55Speaker 5: you don't want to cripple. That's what he says to them.
- 11:57Speaker 5: But he was the main guy. When those guys ran
- 12:00Speaker 5: across that stream, he blew them apart. He's laughing. And
- 12:04Speaker 5: the other guy goes, that sounds like something over there.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Can you imagine all the coverage I could have if
- 12:09Speaker 1: I get G2 down there, if I get J.J. the
- 12:14Speaker 1: Trumpster down there?
- 12:15Speaker 5: No, not J.J. They'll beat him up.
- 12:17Speaker 1: No, J.J. the Trumpster, he's willing to vote a straight
- 12:20Speaker 1: Republican ticket if Trump gives him $ 5, 000. You can even
- 12:23Speaker 1: stand there and watch him vote. He needs a new
- 12:25Speaker 1: washing machine.
- 12:28Speaker 5: That's a hell of a washing machine.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, well, you know, maybe, but maybe you get
- 12:32Speaker 1: a dryer and he might need detergent. But he said, JJ, JJ,
- 12:37Speaker 1: the Trumpster says, listen, I got to look out. He said,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I got to look out for JJ. He's getting tired
- 12:42Speaker 1: of going to the laundromat. His washer blew up. So
- 12:46Speaker 1: if Trump says five thousand, if the Republicans win, JJ says, hey,
- 12:50Speaker 1: you can watch me vote a straight Republican ticket. Give
- 12:52Speaker 1: me my five grand.
- 12:54Speaker 5: It's not bad. You've got to bring 10 people down there.
- 13:00Speaker 1: No, that isn't what he said. That isn't what he said.
- 13:02Speaker 2: J.J.
- 13:03Speaker 1: 's just taking them up on his offer.
- 13:05Speaker 8: Listen.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Have you seen J.J.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Lately?
- 13:07Speaker 1: His white T-shirts are now yellow because he doesn't wash
- 13:10Speaker 1: them as often as he should.
- 13:14Speaker 5: The way you vote, Ron, is you get in your
- 13:17Speaker 5: car and you get a couple cars of people and
- 13:19Speaker 5: you go down all at once. You've got to get 10.
- 13:25Speaker 5: You've got to get 10.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. I'm just going by myself or
- 13:29Speaker 1: with my family to go down.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Well, let's see.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Listen, it's like I don't make anything secret, really. I mean,
- 13:36Speaker 1: I just tell you right off the bat, am I
- 13:38Speaker 1: going to vote for Sherrod Brown? No. Am I going
- 13:40Speaker 1: to vote for Amy Acton? No. Can I ask you something?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Can I vote for any Democrat?
- 13:44Speaker 2: No. What?
- 13:46Speaker 9: Ron.
- 13:46Speaker 1: What?
- 13:47Speaker 5: We lived around here for a while. Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 10: Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Sherrod Brown's been a mess for us. Who in the
- 13:54Speaker 5: hell would put him back in the office?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to give you the mentality. Well, first
- 13:58Speaker 1: of all, there are these cult-like members of the Democrat
- 14:02Speaker 1: Party that only vote Democrat, and they don't care about
- 14:08Speaker 1: Biden's mental competency or Sherrod Brown's far-left liberalism. They just say,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm a Democrat, and I'm going to vote for a Democrat.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And they have no idea what they're voting for. They
- 14:19Speaker 1: have no idea what they're voting for.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I thought that philosophy was gone when Trump won the
- 14:26Speaker 5: first time. Because I knew a lot of people that
- 14:28Speaker 5: were Democrats that voted Republican.
- 14:30Speaker 11: Right.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I hope they continue to do so.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Now, look, this guy, you can't judge this guy. What's
- 14:38Speaker 5: going on? Because because the the the. The deep state
- 14:42Speaker 5: is trying to destroy everything. You know, they want us
- 14:45Speaker 5: to live on bugs and beans. That's why the other
- 14:47Speaker 5: guy you just had on, I'm thinking, okay, you better
- 14:50Speaker 5: start buying bugs and beans.
- 14:54Speaker 1: See, here's the difference. That guy's just saying he was
- 14:56Speaker 1: reading this trucking letter and these 16 companies went bankrupt. Well,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I said, and I just brought it up on my screen.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't see that particular article, but I'll do some
- 15:06Speaker 1: more research. But the bottom line is, I don't know.
- 15:08Speaker 5: I can say anything on the air at you.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Well, no, I mean, the guy's very, very, he's talked
- 15:14Speaker 1: in the past. He's a very well-informed caller. But the
- 15:17Speaker 1: reality is, I don't know what was the economic situation
- 15:19Speaker 1: of those 16 companies going into it. Do I think
- 15:22Speaker 1: diesel prices have a huge effect on trucking? Obviously.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Obviously, but here's the thing.
- 15:28Speaker 1: What?
- 15:28Speaker 5: If you're a trucking company, if you own a business,
- 15:32Speaker 5: don't you put money aside for bad times?
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's, what, $ 6, almost $ 7 a gallon. You
- 15:38Speaker 1: can burn through that really fast. Okay.
- 15:41Speaker 7: But that's one aspect of their business.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Listen, did I not say to the caller, Bubba Ganoush,
- 15:47Speaker 1: did I not say the following words? I think that
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm going to look into that. That is obviously of
- 15:54Speaker 1: concern if you're in that business and the expense that
- 15:56Speaker 1: goes there. But I also said, if you were listening,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I don't see any shortage of cars or trucks on
- 16:01Speaker 1: the road.
- 16:02Speaker 2: No, me neither.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I mean, it's packed.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And he agreed with that. And I don't see any
- 16:09Speaker 1: shortage on the shelves, so I'm not going to stock
- 16:12Speaker 1: up on wieners and beans. Are you?
- 16:15Speaker 5: You mean bugs and beans?
- 16:17Speaker 1: No, wieners and beans.
- 16:19Speaker 5: That's what Gates says, bugs and beans. People don't need money.
- 16:23Speaker 5: They don't need a house. They need to rent and
- 16:24Speaker 5: live on bugs and beans. That's what these big guys say.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I mean, how dare them? How dare them in America?
- 16:31Speaker 5: Tell an American how to live and not to be free.
- 16:35Speaker 5: That pisses me off.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Have you ever had a deep-fried grasshopper? You don't know
- 16:38Speaker 1: what you're missing.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. I had it at the fair.
- 16:42Speaker 5: They had it at the fair. Don't you remember?
- 16:44Speaker 1: I think I'm going to open a stand. Lemonade shakes
- 16:46Speaker 1: and deep-fried grasshoppers. Yes.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Hey, listen.
- 16:50Speaker 5: You know, you know. I'll tell you something.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Wait a minute. Stand by. Back in a minute. News
- 16:56Speaker 1: Radio 570 WQEN. Ron Furp from the Kingdom of Mahoney. Hi,
- 17:02Speaker 1: this is Ron Verb. Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN. Hi,
- 17:09Speaker 1: it's 325 in the afternoon. It's 65 degrees. It's a
- 17:12Speaker 1: lovely day. On News Radio 570 WKBN and your fearless leader,
- 17:16Speaker 1: Ron Verb. All right. What were you saying?
- 17:20Speaker 2: Okay, first of all.
- 17:21Speaker 1: By the way, did you get the Guardians lost last night?
- 17:24Speaker 1: So we're down two games. Are you aware of that?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yes, I am.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Listen, I was heartbroken.
- 17:31Speaker 5: I was bummed out last night. I mean, we had
- 17:34Speaker 5: two up, and they took out Williams. Oh, I know
- 17:37Speaker 5: he had 90 pitches in, but I just saw another
- 17:40Speaker 5: pitcher pitch 127 pitches, you know, on another team.
- 17:44Speaker 2: You know?
- 17:45Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's just... And.
- 17:49Speaker 5: That's the big stick now. I was reading in the
- 17:51Speaker 5: Plain Dealer, you know, that Vogue shouldn't have took him out. But,
- 17:56Speaker 5: you know... The standard is you take them out about
- 17:59Speaker 5: 90 to 100 pitches, you know, because you'll ruin their arm.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Now, let's see. The next game is what, tomorrow?
- 18:07Speaker 5: Yeah, but no pitcher is determined. It's to be determined, TBD.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but tomorrow, let's see, game three at 4 o'clock.
- 18:15Speaker 1: So to interrupt our show, that's on Wednesday, right?
- 18:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't interrupt your show, but here's the thing.
- 18:22Speaker 5: I think they're going to pitch Bybee and then go
- 18:24Speaker 5: with Joe Cantilla.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But, I mean, it's two games down. I mean, it's
- 18:30Speaker 1: hard to imagine coming back with three, but they better
- 18:32Speaker 1: win tomorrow.
- 18:33Speaker 5: You don't remember the Tribe last year against Detroit, do you?
- 18:38Speaker 5: They won 15 in a row.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm looking here at the postseason, buddy.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Okay, listen. Listen.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm listening. I'm just saying it was.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Any team can.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Beat any team at any time. Right, but right now,
- 18:52Speaker 1: let's see. How many do you have to win to
- 18:53Speaker 1: win the series here?
- 18:55Speaker 7: Hmm?
- 18:56Speaker 5: They've got to win all three.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Okay, and how many have they won?
- 19:01Speaker 5: Zero.
- 19:02Speaker 1: All right, and how many has the Chicago White Sox won?
- 19:06Speaker 5: Two.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I get it right.
- 19:07Speaker 1: All right, so the odds would be in whose favor.
- 19:10Speaker 1: All they've got to do is win one game, and
- 19:13Speaker 1: they're there, versus the Guardians that have to win three
- 19:16Speaker 1: games straight. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it's
- 19:19Speaker 1: more of a long shot.
- 19:21Speaker 5: But if they win two in Chicago, if they take
- 19:23Speaker 5: their two there, and they come home... Cleveland will be
- 19:27Speaker 5: going absolutely berserk Saturday.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you that right now.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yes, if they do that. But the odds of doing
- 19:32Speaker 1: that are very difficult. Now you're starting to sound like,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't know until I get to my official sports prognosticator,
- 19:37Speaker 1: Dick from Dayton, who will call it as he sees it.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Ron, do you believe in miracles?
- 19:47Speaker 1: You know, as far as I'm concerned, the fact that,
- 19:49Speaker 1: that uh you call this program on a regular basis
- 19:52Speaker 1: is a miracle come it's a miracle to me well yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 5: It is kind of because i almost got killed three
- 19:57Speaker 5: times exactly i.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Didn't want to bring it up because you got on
- 20:00Speaker 1: me because i mentioned you lost a.
- 20:01Speaker 5: Leg no that's not it i was three different actions almost.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I understand that I understand that. I'm just trying to
- 20:09Speaker 1: say that's why I can't.
- 20:11Speaker 5: God had a plan for me. I'm still working on that.
- 20:15Speaker 5: You know what it is?
- 20:17Speaker 1: I'm going to guess. Annoy me.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Okay. I think I'm going to write a book about
- 20:22Speaker 5: America and politics and how you think.
- 20:25Speaker 1: No one reads books anymore. You can't. You've got to
- 20:27Speaker 1: make videos. You've got to get on YouTube.
- 20:29Speaker 4: No, wait a minute.
- 20:30Speaker 13: Wait a minute.
- 20:31Speaker 5: What about all these people, bestsellers, bestsellers, bestsellers?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just trying to give you some input. Everybody's
- 20:36Speaker 1: into videos these days. People don't read books. If you
- 20:39Speaker 1: want to make a splash, you have to do it
- 20:41Speaker 1: on YouTube. You've got to get your own YouTube channel.
- 20:43Speaker 5: I need a podcast like Ron Verb.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Oh, no, you don't need that. You know how many
- 20:47Speaker 1: podcasts are out there that no one either listens to
- 20:51Speaker 1: or watches or a handful of people do? You kind
- 20:54Speaker 1: of waste your time to do that kind of stuff.
- 20:57Speaker 5: How do I become a radio broadcaster like Ron? You're so...
- 21:00Speaker 5: You're so successful, and you're so known. How can I
- 21:05Speaker 5: be a Ron Burr? Could you tell me how I
- 21:07Speaker 5: can be a Ron Burr, please?
- 21:13Speaker 14: What?
- 21:15Speaker 5: I'm complimenting you. What are you laughing at me for?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Oh, God, because it's... No, I can't tell you. I
- 21:24Speaker 1: don't know.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Oh, no?
- 21:25Speaker 9: Okay.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Oh.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Now, I'll tell you, I tell you, I could be one.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Bring me on as a guest a couple of times.
- 21:32Speaker 1: You know, it's it's like sometimes things. Well, I'll just
- 21:37Speaker 1: leave it at that. All right. Baba Ganoush, ladies and gentlemen.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Baba Ganoush.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Last but not least.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Yeah. What is it?
- 21:45Speaker 5: If you go down there, give us heads up.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Oh, by the way, I'm not going down there. I'm
- 21:48Speaker 1: not going down. I got to be here in the studio.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I got to.
- 21:51Speaker 5: No, no, no. If you send people down there, heads
- 21:53Speaker 5: up to us.
- 21:53Speaker 2: OK. OK.
- 21:54Speaker 5: You know, like to do a pre-show. But listen, I
- 21:57Speaker 5: sent you a link so that you can make sure
- 22:00Speaker 5: you can get at least four tickets because they need tickets.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I'll make sure I tell them, okay? I
- 22:07Speaker 1: appreciate it.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Yeah, but check your email.
- 22:09Speaker 1: All right, thanks. It's Bubba Ganoush, NewsRadio 570 WTVN. We'll
- 22:13Speaker 1: be right back.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Have you heard the news? A promise. If Republicans win
- 22:18Speaker 6: the House and Senate in November.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in
- 22:23Speaker 1: the United States of America.
- 22:26Speaker 6: $ 5, 000. Go woke, go broke.
- 22:28Speaker 15: Believe in something.
- 22:29Speaker 6: That's Colin Kaepernick in a Nike ad.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Even if it means sacrificing everything.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Well, Nike sacrificed 78% of their value. I want to
- 22:37Speaker 6: be remembered. A year ago, we lost Charlie Kirk for
- 22:39Speaker 6: courage for my face. Check in often. NewsRadio 570 WKBA.
- 22:47Speaker 16: Caleb Flynn will likely spend the rest of his days
- 22:49Speaker 16: behind bars for the murder of his wife Ashley earlier
- 22:52Speaker 16: this year. Flynn was sentenced Monday to life in prison
- 22:55Speaker 16: without parole. Prior to sentencing, Flynn of Tip City, Ohio,
- 22:59Speaker 16: offered apologies for his decisions but insisted he did not
- 23:03Speaker 16: kill his wife. Early in-person voting is beginning across Ohio today.
- 23:07Speaker 16: County election offices will be open from 8 a.m. to
- 23:10Speaker 16: 5 p.m. weekdays through October 23rd.
- 23:13Speaker 17: Among local races and issues, voters in Ohio will decide
- 23:16Speaker 17: the state's next governor between Vivek Ramaswamy and Dr. Amy Acton,
- 23:20Speaker 17: along with a key U.S. Senate seat up for grabs
- 23:22Speaker 17: between John Husted and Sherrod Brown. Election day is November 3rd.
- 23:26Speaker 17: President Trump will return to Ohio next Monday to attend
- 23:29Speaker 17: a rally at Youngstown's Covelli Center. Trump spoke to supporters
- 23:33Speaker 17: last Saturday at Butler High School and Vandalia near Dayton.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I'm Brian Nungle.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Listen on the.
- 23:38Speaker 11: Free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk, and
- 23:42Speaker 11: sports radio.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Podcasts, too.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Download the app.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Free never sounded so good.
- 23:48Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 23:51Speaker 15: one-day baths.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Looks like you have garbage scattered.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Now, Ron Verbner. On News Radio 570, WKBN.
- 24:00Speaker 1: All right, Heidi Ho, 335 here in the afternoon. It's Tuesday,
- 24:06Speaker 1: October 6th, 66 degrees. Trump coming to town on Monday.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So that's what I was thinking, you know, because obviously
- 24:17Speaker 1: if we carry the speech at 6 o'clock, and we're
- 24:19Speaker 1: going to try to do that. But these things often
- 24:23Speaker 1: run late, but all the pre-festivities, now you've got to
- 24:27Speaker 1: get tickets to get in. I've got to check first
- 24:29Speaker 1: with General Johnson Jameson to see if G2 would be
- 24:34Speaker 1: permitted to go down and be a cub reporter for
- 24:36Speaker 1: me of the pre-Trump festivities. Only General Jameson will be
- 24:43Speaker 1: able to approve that. Can you imagine that coverage if
- 24:47Speaker 1: I had G2, J.J. the Trumpster, Now, the boss lady's
- 24:52Speaker 1: working all the time. I think she's probably working, making
- 24:54Speaker 1: a small fortune, but you never can tell. We shall see.
- 24:58Speaker 1: All right, NewsRadio 570, WKBN, you're on the air.
- 25:02Speaker 10: Hey, good afternoon.
- 25:02Speaker 2: This is Pete.
- 25:03Speaker 10: How are you doing today? It's a beautiful, wonderful day.
- 25:05Speaker 1: It's a great day. How can you complain about too
- 25:08Speaker 1: much when you're living a beautiful day like today? And
- 25:11Speaker 1: they're numbered. I mean, did you see the frost this morning?
- 25:14Speaker 1: I mean, it got chilly last night, and there was
- 25:15Speaker 1: plenty of frost out there.
- 25:16Speaker 10: Oh, I'm not up that early.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Well, listen, old-timer, you've got to be up at the
- 25:21Speaker 1: crack of dawn. But it was frost on a windshield.
- 25:25Speaker 1: It was really, it got cold last night, probably killing
- 25:28Speaker 1: all the plants out there.
- 25:30Speaker 10: Well, them crack of dawns are done for me. I've
- 25:32Speaker 10: done that almost all my life, or pretty much my life.
- 25:36Speaker 10: So I'm not even crack of dawn. I don't worry
- 25:40Speaker 10: about it.
- 25:41Speaker 1: You sleep right through it. You probably don't get up
- 25:43Speaker 1: until 11 o'clock so you can watch your Price is Right.
- 25:47Speaker 10: No, I don't watch that show either. No, I don't.
- 25:50Speaker 10: I get up right around 9, 9.30ish or so. But anyhow,
- 25:57Speaker 10: for the past two weeks, you've been saying on and
- 26:00Speaker 10: off that a vote against the people who are running
- 26:03Speaker 10: in a conservative Republican Party, and if they don't vote
- 26:07Speaker 10: for them, it's a vote against Trump.
- 26:12Speaker 1: No, that is not accurate. What I've said is, if.
- 26:19Speaker 1: What I said is I can't vote for any Democrats
- 26:22Speaker 1: because I don't. So once again, and I'm glad you
- 26:25Speaker 1: called because I enjoyed my conversation with you. I cannot
- 26:28Speaker 1: support anything that that party stands for. In other words,
- 26:32Speaker 1: if I as much as I can bellyache about, let's
- 26:36Speaker 1: just say gasoline prices and or diesel prices. I know
- 26:40Speaker 1: where the Democrat Party is with their regulations. They prohibited
- 26:44Speaker 1: offshore drilling and drilling on federal lands, and they specifically
- 26:48Speaker 1: say they're against fossil fuels. So do you think my
- 26:51Speaker 1: energy prices are going to be better if the Democrats
- 26:54Speaker 1: take charge, that I'm going to have lower gas prices?
- 26:57Speaker 1: They hate fossil fuels. That is why when Obama, Biden,
- 27:04Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and these green energy people regulated
- 27:08Speaker 1: Ohio's coal plants out of business, like the Samus plant.
- 27:12Speaker 1: They regulated them out of business and then insisted they
- 27:15Speaker 1: be torn down so they couldn't be turned back on.
- 27:18Speaker 1: So they created an energy shortage by these idiotic moves
- 27:21Speaker 1: of theirs. which is just insanity. Well, I don't want
- 27:25Speaker 1: to go back to that when it comes to my
- 27:27Speaker 1: fuel prices with their stupid regulations. It's not better off.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I don't want to go back to open borders and
- 27:33Speaker 1: all these people coming in. I don't want to go
- 27:35Speaker 1: back to this. There's something wrong with you if you
- 27:38Speaker 1: look at a guy dressed up as a woman As weird, oh,
- 27:42Speaker 1: you need this counseling or something. You've got to accept
- 27:45Speaker 1: every bizarre, weird, sexual thing out there. And by the way,
- 27:51Speaker 1: we have a right to hire people based on everything
- 27:53Speaker 1: but merit. And I just– I cannot vote for that
- 27:58Speaker 1: lunacy at all. And then you go further than that,
- 28:03Speaker 1: ripping down statues, renaming Fort Hood, just the craziness that
- 28:09Speaker 1: they did and the inflation that they created. I cannot
- 28:12Speaker 1: support that, period. I mean, I cannot– vote for that,
- 28:17Speaker 1: where Trump closed the border. Trump did a lot of
- 28:19Speaker 1: good stuff, and the Republicans have done a lot of
- 28:22Speaker 1: good stuff, but I just, as a Republican, looking at
- 28:28Speaker 1: things as far as the Republican side goes, I can
- 28:31Speaker 1: criticize Republicans and say, I don't agree with this, I
- 28:34Speaker 1: don't agree with that, but the totality of the Republican
- 28:38Speaker 1: agenda is more in tune with America than anything as
- 28:43Speaker 1: far as the totality of the Democrat agenda. So there
- 28:46Speaker 1: you go. Go ahead.
- 28:48Speaker 10: You mean to tell me that if I was in
- 28:50Speaker 10: a dress, you wouldn't shake my hand?
- 28:55Speaker 1: What are you, in a cockpit of a plane? I
- 28:57Speaker 1: would not shake your hand if you're in a dress. No,
- 28:59Speaker 1: I would be. I tell you what, though.
- 29:03Speaker 10: I'm on my way to a party.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I would probably fist bump you, but I wouldn't shake
- 29:08Speaker 1: your hand. And frankly, I don't think you have the
- 29:13Speaker 1: legs for it anymore.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Well, you might have a point there.
- 29:19Speaker 10: Might have a point there, because I used to joke
- 29:21Speaker 10: about my legs. My legs were better looking than most women,
- 29:24Speaker 10: and I only had to shave mine once a year
- 29:25Speaker 10: or so.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Really?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Yeah. Geez, man.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Sounds like you had a hormonal issue.
- 29:31Speaker 10: No, no, no. I just had better-shaped legs anyhow.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but you were hairless.
- 29:36Speaker 18: Oh, what's that?
- 29:37Speaker 10: I ain't got no... Yeah, the only way I can...
- 29:39Speaker 10: tell how many years i was married is count the
- 29:41Speaker 10: hairs on my chest.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Listen to that noise huh listen to the noise what's this.
- 29:49Speaker 10: Noise yeah they had to pick their kind of mow
- 29:51Speaker 10: the lawn next door Sorry about that. I'm going to
- 29:56Speaker 10: let you go because this is going to be going
- 29:59Speaker 10: on for another half an hour.
- 30:00Speaker 1: All right.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Call me back.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Yep.
- 30:02Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:03Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 30:05Speaker 19: I'm on.
- 30:06Speaker 1: There he is, J.J. the Trumpster.
- 30:09Speaker 2: How you doing, buddy?
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm doing all right. You're going to be going to.
- 30:15Speaker 19: The Trump race. I've been trying to bribe my wife
- 30:18Speaker 19: to go, but she keeps giving me this death stare now.
- 30:23Speaker 19: I don't know if he's going to make sure that
- 30:25Speaker 19: my tires or something before so I can't go, but.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You know, I mean.
- 30:28Speaker 2: But I needed you the other night. You know that.
- 30:30Speaker 1: What's that?
- 30:32Speaker 19: I needed you.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I'm a little out of breath there. I needed you
- 30:34Speaker 2: the other night to help me.
- 30:36Speaker 1: What happened?
- 30:36Speaker 7: I got.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Tell me, me.
- 30:40Speaker 19: I'm thinking, you know, being all smart, trying to deter
- 30:42Speaker 19: them from having the sheets up there. So I got
- 30:45Speaker 19: up there and I'm like, well, I'll just surprise them
- 30:47Speaker 19: in the morning with, like, some kind of joke or
- 30:51Speaker 19: something and... So I'm walking along, trying to find a
- 30:54Speaker 19: good place to hide.
- 30:56Speaker 2: So I slip and I fell. I fell in one
- 30:57Speaker 2: of the tanks. And I was in... I fell in
- 31:00Speaker 2: the tank.
- 31:01Speaker 19: The ones that they put in the ground to hold
- 31:02Speaker 19: the gas. The lid falls on me. I'm stuck in darkness.
- 31:06Speaker 19: So I'm like a half battery life on my phone.
- 31:08Speaker 19: I couldn't... I had to try to... I finally got
- 31:10Speaker 19: to go home.
- 31:11Speaker 2: 9-1-1. And they were picking through and telling me which tank.
- 31:14Speaker 9: I was in.
- 31:14Speaker 20: So I looked.
- 31:16Speaker 2: It wasn't very nice.
- 31:17Speaker 9: It was.
- 31:18Speaker 19: I'm going to remember not to do that because... Here's
- 31:21Speaker 19: the hell out of you when you're in a tank
- 31:22Speaker 19: and all you hear is echoes and it's black as
- 31:25Speaker 19: night and, you know, half that battery life. It's not good.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I'm with you.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Now, is this not the best? This is like old
- 31:33Speaker 1: school radio, theater of the mind. This is like War
- 31:37Speaker 1: of the Worlds.
- 31:38Speaker 19: My wife had the police over here. She said she
- 31:40Speaker 19: couldn't find me. She was crying, saying, well, my husband,
- 31:43Speaker 19: he's gone. He took him, you know, and I'm in
- 31:46Speaker 19: a tank up there. I tried to take my, you know,
- 31:48Speaker 19: embarrass everybody. I'm surprised it wasn't on the news, but
- 31:51Speaker 19: my wife must have paid somebody off. But I tell you,
- 31:55Speaker 19: it was a real adventure there, my friend. I'm going
- 31:57Speaker 19: to watch what I kind of prank someone, you know.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 32:01Speaker 19: As I was doing it, it sounded smart. But then,
- 32:03Speaker 19: you know, once it, you know, made that extra left
- 32:06Speaker 19: step and it went, I wouldn't ask if it was teetotal,
- 32:09Speaker 19: then it went pretty bad.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I mean, this is like that old-time radio where they had, like,
- 32:14Speaker 1: theater on the air. I got to get like a
- 32:17Speaker 1: horse galloping and that kind of stuff.
- 32:19Speaker 19: Well, that's when the airwaves were good. Not now, but
- 32:23Speaker 19: that's when the radio was good.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Right, right. But you're trying to bring it back. On
- 32:27Speaker 1: this episode of Mystery Theater, J.J. falls into a fuel tank.
- 32:41Speaker 1: You know, here's the reality. If you were in a
- 32:43Speaker 1: fuel tank, we'd put the lid on.
- 32:46Speaker 19: Oh, yeah, that's what I was thinking. You know, that's
- 32:49Speaker 19: my lot, you know, or if you guys would have
- 32:51Speaker 19: gone over, I said, please, Ron, give me your hand.
- 32:53Speaker 19: You'd be saying, don't reach for your hand, it's long.
- 32:55Speaker 19: It would be just, you know, next thing I hear
- 32:56Speaker 19: in that darkness, you hear me, you know, so it's... Oh, it's.
- 33:01Speaker 1: The end of the mic. But, you know, he's coming
- 33:06Speaker 1: to town. Now, J.J. 's a man of great character
- 33:09Speaker 1: because he is he's now, of course, J.J., the Trumpster.
- 33:12Speaker 1: He's willing to actually why I can watch him vote
- 33:15Speaker 1: a straight Republican ticket. But he wants some type of
- 33:19Speaker 1: guarantee that he'll get five thousand dollars from Trump because
- 33:24Speaker 1: you still need a washing machine. Would you get a
- 33:26Speaker 1: dryer as well?
- 33:28Speaker 19: Well, I'd probably get a good deal on a matching washer-dryer. So,
- 33:31Speaker 19: you know, maybe I could even consolidate and put the
- 33:33Speaker 19: mic on top of another.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You know, there's the dual.
- 33:36Speaker 19: I'll have to look into it. And then maybe if
- 33:38Speaker 19: I have a little extra, you know, money to spare,
- 33:40Speaker 19: I can afford another red Trump 28 hat because my
- 33:45Speaker 19: wife got rid of it. I found it in the
- 33:46Speaker 19: backyard all burned up two weeks ago. So I can
- 33:49Speaker 19: afford to buy that one. And there's two other things
- 33:51Speaker 19: I'd like to... So, yeah, but I'd like to get
- 33:53Speaker 19: a dryer, definitely. You know, in my life, I get
- 33:56Speaker 19: the washer. I could get a deal on a washer-dryer,
- 33:59Speaker 19: and then my dryer will go in about another month.
- 34:01Speaker 19: So then it'll end up paying twice as much. That's
- 34:03Speaker 19: usually how JJ's life goes.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Now, are you still walking up to the laundromat every
- 34:07Speaker 1: day carrying– he looks like a hobo. He's got this
- 34:11Speaker 1: cloth bag.
- 34:12Speaker 19: If I'm still using the camel that day, I can
- 34:14Speaker 19: do it. It can hold a lot of weight. He's
- 34:16Speaker 19: not using the camel to go down to– sparkle or something,
- 34:19Speaker 19: I just use it to go up there because I
- 34:20Speaker 19: was loading it up at the... The candle seems to
- 34:23Speaker 19: kind of... And nobody will bother me because.
- 34:25Speaker 2: The candle just sticks out anyway, so.
- 34:26Speaker 1: You're out of breath. You're loading up this giant sack
- 34:30Speaker 1: of dirty clothes, and then, of course, a pocket full
- 34:34Speaker 1: of quarters for the washer and dryer, and he's got
- 34:37Speaker 1: to walk from his house.
- 34:38Speaker 19: It was in a 1980 baggy, you know, MC Hammer shorts,
- 34:42Speaker 19: or shirts, or pants, I'm sorry. That's where I'm walking around,
- 34:44Speaker 19: and they're going ching, ching, ching, ching, ching, ching.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Right, and... Half of, you know, you can see half
- 34:49Speaker 1: of his ass crack because the pants keep coming down
- 34:52Speaker 1: because of the weight of the quarters as he's walking
- 34:55Speaker 1: up to the laundromat.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Well, I'm just kidding.
- 34:57Speaker 19: You're only going to see a little bit of the acid. Actually,
- 34:59Speaker 19: it looks like a donut that's cut the other way. Actually,
- 35:07Speaker 19: I'm getting a couple pounds. I've been eating a little
- 35:09Speaker 19: bit better and working out. So I'm about 127 pounds.
- 35:12Speaker 19: I gained about a pound and a half.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I'm in my fighting weight now, Ron. Fighting weight. You've
- 35:17Speaker 1: been really working out hard. I bet you're in the
- 35:20Speaker 1: gym every day.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I get myself in trouble. Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 1: You know, I'm thinking of my list of cub reporters, like,
- 35:29Speaker 1: you know, for the pre-Trump thing. You know, can you
- 35:32Speaker 1: imagine G2 and you working together as down there just
- 35:37Speaker 1: taking in the ambiance?
- 35:40Speaker 19: Yeah, him and Bossy, they can have like a little,
- 35:43Speaker 19: you know, like a, like their little Fox, you know,
- 35:46Speaker 19: the desk, you know, and they can be doing, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 19: and then they can say, you know, we're just.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Looks like J.J. does have a couple of people he'd
- 35:51Speaker 2: like to go out to me. I'd be the on-site reporter,
- 35:54Speaker 2: you know, and the interviewer.
- 35:55Speaker 12: Yes.
- 35:56Speaker 19: And I'd be happy to go out there with a
- 35:57Speaker 19: face mask on so I wouldn't, you know, catch his
- 35:59Speaker 19: mask so I wouldn't get caught in the face too
- 36:01Speaker 19: many times. So I'd have to wear that. So that
- 36:04Speaker 19: it'd be between us, we'd have to go out there
- 36:06Speaker 19: and do some genuine reporting, genuine, honest reporting. You know,
- 36:10Speaker 19: reporting with CNN and NBC and all this.
- 36:15Speaker 1: You'd be the only guy dressed in a catcher's outfit.
- 36:19Speaker 2: They would have to take me serious then, Ron. No
- 36:24Speaker 2: doubt about it.
- 36:24Speaker 19: They would say, this guy's unique. We've got to talk
- 36:27Speaker 19: to this guy. He's got something to talk about. So
- 36:29Speaker 19: I'll just fool them thinking they're going to talk about
- 36:31Speaker 19: the Guardians, and I'll bring them right in with the
- 36:34Speaker 19: Trump question.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but you don't think– I think the crowd would
- 36:39Speaker 1: love you because you've embraced Trump, you're J.J. the Trumpster, and–
- 36:45Speaker 1: And you want everyone to know you have no problem
- 36:47Speaker 1: voting for a straight Republican ticket as long as you
- 36:50Speaker 1: get the check.
- 36:51Speaker 19: Right now, that's I.E. That's the thing that has to
- 36:55Speaker 19: take place. Like Nick said, he was like, you know,
- 36:58Speaker 19: that he still doesn't believe that I'm a transformed Trumper.
- 37:02Speaker 2: You know, he's that's what I call myself is a Tiki.
- 37:04Speaker 19: So he doesn't he doesn't see me as when he.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Sees me as a fake one.
- 37:08Speaker 19: So I have to this is the only way to
- 37:09Speaker 19: do it would be actually to get involved with the
- 37:12Speaker 19: movement and to show my genuine, you know, interest in
- 37:17Speaker 19: everything and wanting to make sure that we can get
- 37:19Speaker 19: them for 2028. I think in anybody that's, let's say, Hey.
- 37:22Speaker 2: You can change the constitution. Okay. Listen, if you make
- 37:24Speaker 2: a little bit of an effort.
- 37:25Speaker 19: And you have, you know, get the right people involved
- 37:28Speaker 19: in a couple of votes here and there and little,
- 37:30Speaker 19: little nudge nudge, you know, we can, we can maybe
- 37:32Speaker 19: get it going for another four years or six years.
- 37:35Speaker 1: So let me get this straight. Not only are you
- 37:38Speaker 1: now a Trumpster, you're looking for him to, to change
- 37:42Speaker 1: the constitution. So you'll run again in 2028.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 19: The thing is that if I need to take the leap,
- 37:49Speaker 19: you know, I've agreed to get to the edge of it.
- 37:53Speaker 19: Until I take that leap, I'm not going to get
- 37:56Speaker 19: anybody to leave. So until I actually step, you know,
- 37:59Speaker 19: put that left foot out or right foot out and
- 38:01Speaker 19: show my complete and utter, you know, uh, loyalty, then,
- 38:07Speaker 19: then maybe then people will take me seriously. But until then,
- 38:09Speaker 19: it's still, there's still wishy-washy about around there. Some of
- 38:11Speaker 19: them believe it, but Ted's a little on the.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You know, but, uh, it's Nick that's, you know, I
- 38:18Speaker 1: had to, I had to check with the general Johnson,
- 38:21Speaker 1: Jamison and G2 earlier today, potentially, uh, it's, it's looking
- 38:25Speaker 1: like he might be able to do some coverage of me,
- 38:27Speaker 1: you know, if anybody shows up at two 33, oh, well,
- 38:30Speaker 1: It'd be between three and six, obviously, that he could
- 38:35Speaker 1: do some coverage. And I even bounce the idea off
- 38:37Speaker 1: of him having an assistant, JJ, the Trumpster. And he
- 38:42Speaker 1: embraced the idea. He embraced it.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Right. He could actually be on the reporting.
- 38:49Speaker 19: I can follow along and we'll see how many times
- 38:51Speaker 19: I get my butt whooped.
- 38:53Speaker 5: And I'll be holding the camera.
- 38:54Speaker 19: You just see the camera shaking.
- 38:55Speaker 5: I'm getting, you know.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Oh, there is no camera. See, there's the first problem.
- 38:59Speaker 1: It's a radio show.
- 39:00Speaker 4: This is not a visual thing.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Right, right. You would have to describe the situation like
- 39:06Speaker 1: the theater of the mind. You'd have to describe it verbally.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Don't hit me there.
- 39:12Speaker 2: That could work instead of the actual visual. You could
- 39:16Speaker 2: hear me screaming and get.
- 39:17Speaker 1: My— Nobody would do such a thing. That kind of
- 39:22Speaker 1: stuff doesn't happen. That only happens at these Democrat get-togethers.
- 39:27Speaker 2: They would be standing in line for it.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:30Speaker 21: The democrats that are scratching teslas and burning dealerships down
- 39:35Speaker 21: the republicans embrace embrace people of uh that uh have uh.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Yes.
- 39:43Speaker 19: You know what I was thinking?
- 39:46Speaker 1: I was going to say that you transgendered from a Democrat.
- 39:52Speaker 19: Trans something.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Something trans. I don't know what it was.
- 39:57Speaker 1: By the way, would you mind wearing a skirt when
- 39:59Speaker 1: you're down there?
- 40:01Speaker 2: I'll contemplate it. For the right amount of coin, maybe
- 40:03Speaker 2: I will. You never know.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Well, you do need a washer.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I don't want to waste any more of your time, buddy.
- 40:07Speaker 1: All right, thanks.
- 40:08Speaker 2: You can get old after a while, so I'll try
- 40:09Speaker 2: not to buy any tanks.
- 40:11Speaker 1: There he is, J.J. the Drumster. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. I
- 40:18Speaker 1: actually did ask General Jameson and G2 if I said
- 40:21Speaker 1: about J.J. the Trumpster being down there with him. And
- 40:26Speaker 1: he was cool with it. You've got to just see.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I mean, it's going to be interesting because, like I say, Monday,
- 40:34Speaker 1: most people work. And they say, well, of course, we've
- 40:37Speaker 1: got a lot of retired people around here, 2.30, 3 o'clock.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But if you get there like at 3 o'clock or
- 40:43Speaker 1: 3.30 or something like that, he doesn't speak until 6 o'clock.
- 40:46Speaker 1: And those things usually run late. We'll be right back.
- 40:54Speaker 1: For over a century, families have used radio 570 WKBN.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Ah, yes.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Three fifty six here on a Tuesday afternoon, October 6th.
- 41:04Speaker 1: It's 67 degrees and you're on the air.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Ron.
- 41:09Speaker 10: Yes.
- 41:11Speaker 9: Where have you been? You know, I called and talked
- 41:17Speaker 9: to your boss this morning. I called him and I said,
- 41:19Speaker 9: we need blackout dates going forward during the election. He
- 41:22Speaker 9: can have off in February. He can have one or
- 41:25Speaker 9: two days off in February. I think you got those
- 41:27Speaker 9: MCBDD benefit package over there.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:30Speaker 9: You know, you missed a couple days off, and I
- 41:33Speaker 9: needed you. I had my best monologue ever, and you
- 41:35Speaker 9: were gone.
- 41:36Speaker 6: What?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Because you needed to hone it. You needed to hone
- 41:39Speaker 1: it a little bit better. See, I gave you more time.
- 41:42Speaker 1: More time.
- 41:43Speaker 9: Oh, my God. One of them union breaks.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 1: You're one of them.
- 41:47Speaker 9: I don't know what you got going on over there,
- 41:49Speaker 9: but I talked to your boss this morning. He's got
- 41:51Speaker 9: you on blackout now.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Blackout.
- 41:53Speaker 9: You're blacked out until February.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I can't get another day off.
- 41:56Speaker 9: Not until February. You would have Christmas off. I'm going
- 41:59Speaker 9: to give you Christmas.
- 42:00Speaker 1: How am I supposed to work on my bowling game then?
- 42:05Speaker 1: How is that? By the way, how's things going down
- 42:09Speaker 1: at the lanes?
- 42:12Speaker 9: Oh, not too good. I bowled absolutely terrible last week.
- 42:14Speaker 9: It was bad. It was really bad.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Aren't you getting any better?
- 42:20Speaker 9: Ron, you just want to rub it in.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I don't understand how you keep bowling and you're not
- 42:26Speaker 1: getting any better. I mean, something's not right here. I
- 42:31Speaker 1: need a lesson.
- 42:34Speaker 9: Anybody has a bowling lesson? I need a lesson.
- 42:37Speaker 1: The more you play a sport, you're supposed to get
- 42:40Speaker 1: better at it, not stay the same.
- 42:42Speaker 9: I don't really think of it as a sport. I'm
- 42:46Speaker 9: sure some people do. I just don't see the athleticism
- 42:50Speaker 9: in it.
- 42:51Speaker 1: So what do you view it as, a social game?
- 42:52Speaker 9: I mean, I was an athlete, but I just don't
- 42:54Speaker 9: see the athleticism.
- 42:57Speaker 1: What type of an athlete would you, if it wasn't bowling,
- 43:00Speaker 1: what did you do, the javelin?
- 43:04Speaker 9: Basketball and softball.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Basketball and softball.
- 43:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 1: All right.
- 43:10Speaker 6: My whole life.
- 43:11Speaker 13: Really?
- 43:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you get any scholarships? No.
- 43:14Speaker 9: No, I went to YSU.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 43:17Speaker 9: No, I went to YSU.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Are you going to the Trump rally? I mean, are
- 43:21Speaker 1: you excited about... Well, stand by. Let me do my headlines.
- 43:24Speaker 1: It's the boss lady. Terrible bowler, folks. Just a terrible bowler.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I think she'd get better. We'll talk more to her
- 43:33Speaker 1: and more of your calls straight ahead. We're men.
- 43:36Speaker 22: Celebrating 100 years as the Valley's trusted news, weather, and
- 43:42Speaker 22: talk station.
- 43:43Speaker 6: 570 WKBN. Youngstown. A prediction at the White House.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I'm Lisa Brady.
- 43:56Speaker 6: Fox News.
- 43:57Speaker 23: President Trump just telling reporters he thinks Republicans are going
- 44:00Speaker 23: to do very well. As he continues, a string of
- 44:02Speaker 23: rallies around the country aimed at boosting turnout in tight races.
- 44:06Speaker 6: The rallies have changed.
- 44:12Speaker 23: This as he heads to Maryland to talk about investment
- 44:14Speaker 23: and manufacturing at a Baltimore shipyard. Four weeks to Election Day,
- 44:19Speaker 23: the Fox News power rankings have Democrats up by 11
- 44:22Speaker 23: points on a generic House ballot with a tie for
- 44:24Speaker 23: the Senate where six seats... are considered toss-ups, and a
- 44:28Speaker 23: few others are shifting.
- 44:29Speaker 24: Among Senate races to watch, North Carolina has moved from
- 44:32Speaker 24: lean Democratic to likely Democratic in the contest between Republican
- 44:36Speaker 24: nominee Michael Whatley and Democrat Roy Cooper. Fox confirmed that
- 44:40Speaker 24: a GOP-aligned super PAC has pulled its.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Resources from the state.
- 44:44Speaker 24: South Carolina has moved from solid Republican to likely Republican
- 44:48Speaker 24: in the Senate race where Republican Darlene Graham is running
- 44:50Speaker 24: to replace her brother, the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
- 44:53Speaker 23: Fox's Tanya J.
- 44:54Speaker 16: Powers.
- 44:55Speaker 23: International pressure on Russia to give more information about the
- 44:58Speaker 23: death of a lab worker in Siberia. possibly from the
- 45:01Speaker 23: pneumonic plague. Fox's Jillian Turner at the State Department.
- 45:04Speaker 25: Officials here tell us that State Department health experts have
- 45:08Speaker 25: actually been in direct touch with Russia's foreign ministry about
- 45:11Speaker 25: this since last Friday. That is now five days ago
- 45:15Speaker 25: or nearly five days ago. But if you listen to
- 45:18Speaker 25: Secretary Rubio speaking this morning, it sounds like he is
- 45:22Speaker 25: again reiterating his call that it is time for Russian
- 45:25Speaker 25: officials to start talking.
- 45:27Speaker 26: The more we can learn about what happened, then the
- 45:30Speaker 26: better all of us can be in a position of responding.
- 45:32Speaker 6: And maybe there's nothing there. Maybe it's bigger than we thought.
- 45:35Speaker 6: We don't know.
- 45:36Speaker 23: There's been contact tracing and quarantining reported after the lab
- 45:39Speaker 23: worker's death. New highs on Wall Street for the S & P.

- 47:06Speaker 1: to go to the Trump rally, or do you say,
- 47:08Speaker 1: fizzle on it?
- 47:09Speaker 9: No, I'm not going to go to it.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 9: I mean, I've heard him so many times, and, you know, he's...
- 47:16Speaker 9: Same thing. I feel like he's coming because he's concerned, right?
- 47:19Speaker 9: He's concerned Ohio is a... It's a problem. We've been
- 47:22Speaker 9: talking about it.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Well, don't you think he should be concerned? I mean,
- 47:25Speaker 1: because it is a problem.
- 47:27Speaker 9: It is a problem. I've told you this six months ago.
- 47:30Speaker 9: I think Ohio is purple. I don't think it's red.
- 47:33Speaker 9: And I think, I mean, listen, Houston wasn't primary. He
- 47:38Speaker 9: was picked, right?
- 47:40Speaker 6: He was picked.
- 47:40Speaker 9: You planted the worst possible candidate you could have. So
- 47:43Speaker 9: now everybody's got to plug their nose and go in
- 47:44Speaker 9: there and vote for this guy. And that was a mistake.
- 47:49Speaker 9: He's got the wine slime all over him.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:51Speaker 9: And and and that's a problem. But you know what?
- 47:55Speaker 9: The Republicans are going to have to wake up here
- 47:57Speaker 9: because if they lose, that's on them. They're the picker.
- 48:02Speaker 9: They picked. That was their horse. They went with him.
- 48:05Speaker 9: Regardless of all the first energy scandal. And that's a joke.
- 48:08Speaker 9: I mean, and the other guys, a complete and total nutbag,
- 48:13Speaker 9: Sherrod Brown.
- 48:14Speaker 25: But they might.
- 48:15Speaker 9: Learn some hard lessons. And that's going to be very unfortunate.
- 48:19Speaker 9: I was so hopped up about that. You know what
- 48:21Speaker 9: else I was hopped up about?
- 48:22Speaker 1: What?
- 48:23Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 48:23Speaker 1: No, I want to know what else you were hopped
- 48:25Speaker 1: up about.
- 48:25Speaker 9: Last Thursday. That's why I was chomping at the bit
- 48:28Speaker 9: to get to you, and then I found out you
- 48:30Speaker 9: were gone. I was in Texas for work last week.
- 48:32Speaker 9: By the time I could get to you.
- 48:34Speaker 6: You were gone. You were gone.
- 48:36Speaker 9: No one told me. No one said nothing. Ron's gone.
- 48:39Speaker 9: Ron's gone until Tuesday.
- 48:41Speaker 1: What were you doing in Texas, smuggling people across the border?
- 48:45Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, you know me, dragging him, really, in my car.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Were you down there?
- 48:50Speaker 9: Dragging him to the detention center.
- 48:52Speaker 1: For that Ella, you know, are you an Ella fella? No, no.
- 48:56Speaker 1: He's from Texas, I can tell, you know, that song.
- 48:59Speaker 9: No, I was working. I had to do a presentation.
- 49:02Speaker 1: In Texas? Oh, okay.
- 49:04Speaker 9: Yeah, so I was frustrated because... Now, wait a minute.
- 49:07Speaker 1: What was it like for you in the Lone Star State?
- 49:13Speaker 9: I haven't seen a lot. I've been to Texas about
- 49:15Speaker 9: six times for work, I'd say. I'm not in love
- 49:18Speaker 9: with it at all.
- 49:21Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 49:21Speaker 9: I just didn't really like it. I didn't get to
- 49:24Speaker 9: go to the rodeo or anything. I'd like to at
- 49:29Speaker 9: some point.
- 49:29Speaker 12: Check one out.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I think that'd be fun. Are you wearing cowboy boots
- 49:34Speaker 1: and a hat?
- 49:35Speaker 4: Well, no, no.
- 49:36Speaker 9: I'm wearing a suit.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Well, you got to have a hat and
- 49:40Speaker 1: some boots on. They got to fit in a big
- 49:43Speaker 1: belt buckle.
- 49:44Speaker 9: No, I'm usually down there. If I have to go
- 49:46Speaker 9: down there, it's usually meeting with people and presenting. Oh, really?
- 49:50Speaker 9: Nothing fun.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Yeah, nothing fun. But Thursday. Yes, Thursday.
- 49:55Speaker 9: Go ahead.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Thursday.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I'm listening.
- 49:57Speaker 9: Mahoney County commissioners, our lovely commissioners invited.
- 50:01Speaker 10: Yes.
- 50:02Speaker 9: That Mahoney County or the MCBDD guy to go down
- 50:06Speaker 9: there and he got the floor for 15 minutes and
- 50:10Speaker 9: he made his plea. Let's make a deal. He wants
- 50:13Speaker 9: to make a deal with the community.
- 50:15Speaker 1: What's his deal?
- 50:16Speaker 9: If you support this levy, even though we just got
- 50:20Speaker 9: this gigantic, enormous levy.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Right.
- 50:22Speaker 9: Even though we just got a forever levy. Last election.
- 50:27Speaker 9: We won't put it on the ballot again. We won't
- 50:30Speaker 9: put the other levy on the ballot again next cycle.
- 50:35Speaker 9: I mean, and he thought, like, first of all, there's nothing.
- 50:38Speaker 9: I mean, he doesn't swear an oath to that. There's
- 50:40Speaker 9: nothing stopping him from doing that. But, you know, the
- 50:42Speaker 9: more and more I'm looking at data and pulling, I
- 50:46Speaker 9: pulled five counties, five different counties.
- 50:49Speaker 1: But keep this in mind. If you replace an old
- 50:53Speaker 1: levy with a new levy, it's more money because it's
- 50:57Speaker 1: at the existing rate, not the old rate. So, I mean,
- 51:01Speaker 1: that's a Trojan horse. Which teller?
- 51:05Speaker 9: Yes, and then what he's also screaming is that we
- 51:07Speaker 9: will be out of money in three years or two
- 51:10Speaker 9: years or whatever it is and blah, blah, blah. So
- 51:13Speaker 9: at the end of the day, what that tells you
- 51:14Speaker 9: is when someone's telling you we're going to be out
- 51:16Speaker 9: of money, that means they plan to make no changes
- 51:18Speaker 9: or cuts. They plan to not adjust their spending. And
- 51:22Speaker 9: when you look at their spending, they're spending an exorbitant
- 51:25Speaker 9: amount of money when you compare it to, and I
- 51:27Speaker 9: just picked five other counties. I picked Delaware County, Cuyahoga County, Hamilton,
- 51:31Speaker 9: and Licking. They're almost double. and their annual expenditures per person. Now,
- 51:37Speaker 9: I would, you know, anybody can check that. I pulled
- 51:41Speaker 9: data all different ways, and it took me hours to
- 51:44Speaker 9: pull it because of how bad the reporting is, which
- 51:47Speaker 9: I think is intentional. I think all these state agencies
- 51:51Speaker 9: should have their number up there. What is your, you know,
- 51:54Speaker 9: infrastructure cost? What are your You know, all of your
- 51:58Speaker 9: higher-level management, what are they costing you? And then how
- 52:01Speaker 9: many people did you serve? You would think that would
- 52:03Speaker 9: be the foundation, the easiest numbers and data to pull
- 52:07Speaker 9: because it should be required. But none of them have
- 52:10Speaker 9: them loaded the same way. It's all very fuzzy. What
- 52:15Speaker 9: I had to do to find out that information was
- 52:17Speaker 9: really stupid. But I think it's all intentional. And at
- 52:20Speaker 9: the end of the day, I'm not playing let's make
- 52:22Speaker 9: a deal with you. At the end of the day,
- 52:24Speaker 9: you're spending double, which some counties are... And it was
- 52:27Speaker 9: all based on spend per person served. I mean, that's
- 52:31Speaker 9: a true number.
- 52:32Speaker 1: So you're comparing apples to apples. You're saying... I'm comparing
- 52:35Speaker 1: apples to apples. Okay, so their MRDD in whatever county
- 52:39Speaker 1: does the same stuff that this MRDD does, but they
- 52:42Speaker 1: do it for a lot less.
- 52:44Speaker 9: For a lot less. And, you know, and I.
- 52:48Speaker 9: It's just every time they want to get out in front, And,
- 52:53Speaker 9: you know, the commissioner's giving them 15, 20 minutes. Like,
- 52:56Speaker 9: do I get 15, 20 minutes? If I go down
- 52:58Speaker 9: to a commissioner meeting, do I get 20 minutes? I'm
- 53:00Speaker 9: going to get five minutes, and then they're going to
- 53:01Speaker 9: slam that gavel so hard my.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Ears are going to break.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but here's the reality. I mean, now, this is
- 53:08Speaker 1: a terrible thing to say, but this is reality. Who
- 53:11Speaker 1: cares if you give them 15 minutes or 30 minutes?
- 53:14Speaker 1: There's just not that many people. There's not Joe Bagadonis.
- 53:18Speaker 1: There's a lot of... political uh or people who work
- 53:21Speaker 1: for the county sitting there so it's not a big
- 53:23Speaker 1: audience there and it's not really a big audience that
- 53:26Speaker 1: ever watches it so i mean how many people actually
- 53:29Speaker 1: hear some 15 minute speech in the first place so
- 53:33Speaker 1: the news shows up and they take 20 or 30
- 53:35Speaker 1: seconds if they even bother to do it and and
- 53:39Speaker 1: it's like that's the end of it but did any
- 53:41Speaker 1: commissioners actually ask any questions.
- 53:45Speaker 9: No no no they in fact in fact One of
- 53:50Speaker 9: the commissioners said that, oh, you know, because the guy said, well,
- 53:53Speaker 9: you know, there's a lot of people out there that
- 53:54Speaker 9: are complaining and that are saying all this stuff about us.
- 53:58Speaker 9: And one of the commissioners said, oh, yeah, they don't
- 54:02Speaker 9: want conversations. They just want to, you know, want to talk.
- 54:05Speaker 9: And they don't have any. They don't even want to talk.
- 54:08Speaker 9: Which irritated me because I've reached out several times to
- 54:13Speaker 9: the commissioner and asked him to talk because I wanted
- 54:16Speaker 9: to know very simple. I had very simple questions. Why
- 54:21Speaker 9: do they have a $ 400, 000 consultant? What do they need
- 54:27Speaker 9: that for? What are they spending that money on? Why
- 54:31Speaker 9: are employees allowed to also be providers? Seems like a conflict.
- 54:35Speaker 9: Why does this head sit on the governing board that's
- 54:38Speaker 9: supposed to be overseeing this? Why are there benefit packages
- 54:44Speaker 9: the way that they are? And I got no answers,
- 54:46Speaker 9: but yet I don't want to have a conversation. I
- 54:48Speaker 9: welcome a conversation.
- 54:50Speaker 5: I would love.
- 54:52Speaker 9: Maybe we should do a conversation on your show.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you can.
- 54:55Speaker 9: Maybe they'll call in. You think trafficking, trafficking won't call in.
- 54:59Speaker 9: You know why trafficking won't call in?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Why?
- 55:01Speaker 9: Because he's smart. He stays quiet. He'll win as long
- 55:06Speaker 9: as he wants to win. He's never going to argue
- 55:08Speaker 9: or get in the middle of it. He's going to
- 55:11Speaker 9: do what his people voted for him to do.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Which is what?
- 55:14Speaker 5: Which is support all.
- 55:15Speaker 9: Of these social agendas. And he's going to do that.
- 55:21Speaker 9: And that's what his people voted for him to do.
- 55:23Speaker 9: But I didn't vote for that.
- 55:25Speaker 1: But you can see, guess who is never considered in
- 55:28Speaker 1: any of this? Of course, you know, they say, oh,
- 55:32Speaker 1: the homeowner is my answer to my question, who's never
- 55:34Speaker 1: considered any of this is a homeowner. But then they
- 55:36Speaker 1: give you the argument, well, you know, if people vote
- 55:38Speaker 1: for it, well, guess what? You got to get off
- 55:41Speaker 1: your arse and get out and vote against it. You
- 55:44Speaker 1: actually have to go out and vote on these economic issues.
- 55:49Speaker 1: This is a whopping levy for a huge amount of money.
- 55:53Speaker 1: to this organization. And it is huge. And no one
- 55:57Speaker 1: down there seems to express a damn about the burden
- 56:01Speaker 1: it's putting on homeowners and homeownership. No one seems to
- 56:05Speaker 1: give a damn about it.
- 56:06Speaker 9: No, their emergency is supposed to be mine. Their emergency
- 56:09Speaker 9: supersedes your emergency.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 56:12Speaker 9: Their emergency is supposed to supersede your inability to pay
- 56:15Speaker 9: your property, your inability to feed your family, help your
- 56:19Speaker 9: own children. Their emergency is more important than anybody else's.
- 56:24Speaker 9: And their emergency, let's be honest right now, is just
- 56:28Speaker 9: to receive matching funds. So they want us to pay
- 56:32Speaker 9: more just so they can go and get more money.
- 56:36Speaker 9: They've been operating. So they want us to give more,
- 56:39Speaker 9: levy our homes.
- 56:42Speaker 9: So they can go get more money. I don't even
- 56:45Speaker 9: know that you're spending the money you have now. And
- 56:47Speaker 9: we gave them a green light. We gave them a
- 56:50Speaker 9: light that said, we will give you forever. We passed
- 56:53Speaker 9: a forever levy. No more accountability. Nothing. Now you want
- 56:57Speaker 9: even more.
- 56:58Speaker 5: Right.
- 56:59Speaker 9: Never show us fiscal or financial responsibility. Never showed us
- 57:03Speaker 9: that you're being prudent. You don't have to say boo
- 57:05Speaker 9: to anybody. I mean, I don't know how this guy
- 57:08Speaker 9: even does it with a straight face. If he can't
- 57:10Speaker 9: read the room. They can't even read a room. It's
- 57:16Speaker 9: the hottest topic right now in the state of Ohio.
- 57:19Speaker 9: The people that are ignoring it, I don't understand how
- 57:23Speaker 9: you do it. How are you ignoring? It's all day
- 57:27Speaker 9: long I hear people screaming about property. All day long.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Because I'm telling you, they don't care. They could care
- 57:32Speaker 1: less about it.
- 57:33Speaker 9: They don't.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, the last person considered is
- 57:37Speaker 1: the person paying these taxes. And that's the last person
- 57:41Speaker 1: that's ever considered. And that's what's wrong. This is a
- 57:44Speaker 1: huge levy for MRDD. I'm going to give you my scenario,
- 57:48Speaker 1: and it's not going to take 15 minutes. It's going
- 57:51Speaker 1: to take 15 seconds. I will not vote for this levy.
- 57:54Speaker 1: It's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous the amount of money you're
- 57:59Speaker 1: asking for, how high this levy is. I'm going to
- 58:02Speaker 1: just tell everybody this much right here and right now.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You want my opinion? I don't support any of these
- 58:07Speaker 1: additional levies. I believe you should save your... tax dollars,
- 58:13Speaker 1: the only thing that you should vote for and make
- 58:16Speaker 1: a sacrifice for is your police and your fire in
- 58:20Speaker 1: your community, because you need the cops to show up
- 58:24Speaker 1: and you need a fire department and ambulances. Outside of that,
- 58:29Speaker 1: you know, and you need a guy to plow the roads.
- 58:31Speaker 1: But outside of that, any of these other levies, to
- 58:34Speaker 1: hell with them. I mean, this idea of.
- 58:39Speaker 9: I have a big problem with the fact that one
- 58:42Speaker 9: year of service, you're getting nine weeks of paid time off.
- 58:47Speaker 9: I have a hard time with that. I'm sorry. Even
- 58:51Speaker 9: if you're a cook, you get nine weeks. It doesn't matter.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I'm just focused on the amount of this levy.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Yeah, but why.
- 58:59Speaker 9: Has it gotten that high? It's because they've got to
- 59:01Speaker 9: pay all these things.
- 59:02Speaker 6: Right.
- 59:04Speaker 1: And how many clients do they have at this point
- 59:07Speaker 1: in time?
- 59:09Speaker 9: Oh, I thought he said a thousand but i gave
- 59:11Speaker 9: the benefit of the doubt and used their 27 million
- 59:14Speaker 9: over 1600 which made which helped them in my math
- 59:18Speaker 9: right it helped them because i used a higher number
- 59:21Speaker 9: of people served i actually don't think it's 1600 I mean,
- 59:25Speaker 9: he said himself it was $ 1, 000. I don't know if
- 59:27Speaker 9: that's waiver plus the SSA or what that is. But
- 59:31Speaker 9: $ 17, 000 a person served. But you're not looking.
- 59:35Speaker 2: It's $ 7, 800.
- 59:36Speaker 5: You got Hamilton.
- 59:37Speaker 9: It's at $ 10, 000. Cuyahoga is at $ 10, 500. Delaware is at $ 11, 000.
- 59:38Speaker 9: I mean, dude, and you want more.
- 59:49Speaker 1: And so you're saying for the same type of services,
- 59:52Speaker 1: this guy's at $ 17, 000 per client.
- 59:56Speaker 9: Well, yeah, I mean, I'm saying that, yeah, those are
- 59:58Speaker 9: the same kinds of services. Now, I don't know, because
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: I remember Rich talking about one guy that they had to, like,
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: fly to Florida or someplace and spend $ 100, 000 on this
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: personal loan or something crazy. And I know Rich is factual.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: I know if he had it, it's correct. So I
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: don't know what the heck kind of service that is,
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: but I'm looking at revenue or cost people served. And
- 1:00:25Speaker 9: you know what? If there's a better way to look
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: at it, shame on them, it's on them. If this
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: number doesn't represent you, shame on you. You should have
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: made it easier for the taxpayer to understand what the
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: heck is going on. Because I know you guys are
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: doing it intentional. The amount of digging it took me.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Have you seen this chart? Property tax on a $ 400, 000
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: home in all 50 states. So they just used $ 400, 000
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: property tax on all 50 states, and they ranked... You know,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: from the highest, the people that take the most property
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: tax to the lowest. And let me see, Ohio was
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: number seven. So the only people that get hammered with
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: more property tax, this is on, they just use a
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: 400,000 house as an example, okay? So in Illinois, you
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: would pay $ 7, 172. In New Jersey, $ 6, 700. In Vermont, $ 55, 960.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: In Nebraska, which is number four, 5516. Connecticut, 5420. New Hampshire, 5400. Ohio, 5105.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: We are the seventh highest state when it comes to
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: property taxes.
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: And this is where what you were saying was so impactful.
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: We are number one. I just saw one of the
- 1:01:42Speaker 9: state legislators put it out. We were voted the most
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: favorable in all of the land to do business in.
- 1:01:49Speaker 9: What the hell businesses are you guys picking? Because you're
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: obviously picking ones. You're giving away the farm, and then
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: they're packing up and leaving because it should trickle down.
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: And I believe in that philosophy. I believe that we
- 1:01:59Speaker 9: need businesses. They generate jobs.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: They'll grow.
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: They'll do all these great things. But if they're not
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: doing any of them, and it's always pushed to the homeowner,
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: and the homeowner's got to pick up all the services,
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: and you're giving away the farm, you have failed miserably.
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: Recipe number one, favorable in business. but could be the
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: worst at the bottom for the highest burden for taxes
- 1:02:24Speaker 9: is disgusting.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Can you imagine if you, I use this all the time.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Can you imagine if you lived in the city of
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Canfield and you're faced with this giant MRDD levy and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: this giant school levy, which would be on top of,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: and these, the forever levy and the school levy, it's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: just like a gazillion years. Can you imagine what your
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: property taxes will go from and to? Stand by. Yeah.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Stand by. Back with the boss lady. More calls ahead.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN 422 in the afternoon. Ron Furb.
- 1:03:00Speaker 14: Flying missions that have basements in North America will experience
- 1:03:04Speaker 14: water damage.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: It's true.
- 1:03:06Speaker 14: Whether it's basement moisture, flooding, or bowing walls, do yourself
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: a favor. Call Groundworks. I spent some time working with
- 1:03:13Speaker 14: these guys. They're the real deal. Their people are trained
- 1:03:16Speaker 14: and certified to waterproof your basement and stabilize your walls.
- 1:03:20Speaker 14: Ohio Basement Authority is now Groundworks. Schedule a free inspection.
- 1:03:25Speaker 14: Licensed in all states where work is performed. See website
- 1:03:27Speaker 14: for details. This is Mark DeVecchio.
- 1:03:29Speaker 26: The values I learned at my family dinner table shaped
- 1:03:31Speaker 26: my life and career and will guide me as your
- 1:03:34Speaker 26: next domestic relations judge.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: That's why you can.
- 1:03:36Speaker 26: Trust me to be compassionate, to nurture and protect kids,
- 1:03:40Speaker 26: to resolve domestic disputes fairly and efficiently, and to help
- 1:03:43Speaker 26: families build a brighter future after divorce. This is Mark DeVecchio,
- 1:03:47Speaker 26: and I respectfully ask for your vote for domestic relations judge.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Mark DeVecchio. For families, for kids, for judge. Paid for
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: by the committee to elect Mark DeVecchio. And Talk Station
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. What you're saying, I hope people are paying
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: attention to because too many people don't. You get low
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: information voters and they go out and they vote for
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. And then they get all worked
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: up over how much it's costing them.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: $ 207 a year for every $ 100, 000 for this canceled school levy,
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: plus $ 84 for MCBDD.
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: You're at almost $ 300 for every $ 100, 000, just those two
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: levies alone. I don't even know how you could vote
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: for both.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Wait a second. Give me those numbers again. How much?
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: I have $ 207 a year. It's a $ 5. 9 bill for
- 1:04:38Speaker 9: five years.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: For what, the school?
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: The school.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: And that's on.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: And $ 84.
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: And that's on.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: A hundred thousand?
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: A hundred thousand.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:04:49Speaker 9: Yep. So if you have a $ 200, 000 home, you're at.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: $ 415, 000.
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: Plus you're at another $ 170, 000. You're at like $ 600 here
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: for a $ 200, 000 home. $ 600 a year if MCBD and
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: Canfield School District passes.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: On top of what you're already paying.
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: On top of it all.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Wait a second.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: And it won't matter because it'll never be enough.
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: It'll never be enough.
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: And so at the end of the day, the state
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: has to do its darn job. I look at all
- 1:05:23Speaker 9: these grants. I mean, we just gave $ 130, 000 or $ 140, 000
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: grant for some old log cabin in Austin.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: So wait a second.
- 1:05:32Speaker 9: I understand that that's cute and all and interesting, and
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: I love that little old log cabin. But what in
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: the hell are we doing here, really? This is the
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: grant money, okay? People are losing their homes, and we
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: think we're so smart that that's the way that we
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: blow our income tax money. Grant here, grant there, everybody
- 1:05:52Speaker 9: get a grant. You know who doesn't get any help?
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: The homeowner.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: So I just looked at that. So just under $ 600,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: if both of these pass and you're in a $ 2, 000 home,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: you'd have $ 600 additional dollars on your property taxes.
- 1:06:06Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: $ 300, 000.
- 1:06:10Speaker 9: Home, you're at $ 900, 000 a year.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: On top of what you're already paying.
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: On top of what you're paying. And it doesn't end.
- 1:06:19Speaker 9: It'll never end.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: It just goes on. Yeah. Once it's there, it never
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: goes away.
- 1:06:23Speaker 9: No, they never take them away. I mean, MCBDD is
- 1:06:26Speaker 9: trying to make a deal. Let's make a deal. Prove
- 1:06:28Speaker 9: this one, and I won't run into that.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Get the heck out of here. Don't you see all
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: these people?
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: Where are you?
- 1:06:33Speaker 9: On a game show.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Don't you see all these people who think, now, I'm
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: being serious. They think they're better than you. And listen
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: to me, boss lady. They think they're better than you
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and they're better community people than you are because you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: know why? They very much do. They think you're no
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: good because you're not willing to depart more of your
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: money and have more of your money taken. You're not
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: giving it taken from you to go to government. You're
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: not a good community member if you're not willing to
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: have more taken from you. to go for this school system.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: You're not a good person because you're not willing to
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: have more money taken for MRDD. You're a cruel, vicious person.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: You should want to give $ 600 more, on top of
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: what you're already paying on a $ 200, 000 home in Canfield.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: This is the arrogance of a lot of these people.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: And they don't care about They don't care if you're
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a senior citizen. They don't care if you're on a
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: fixed income. Listen to me, boss lady. They don't give
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: a damn if it makes it difficult for young people
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: to buy a home because the property taxes are so
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: high in addition to the house payments. In addition to
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: the utilities and groceries and insurance, they don't care that
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: they are making it more difficult for young people to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: buy a house. They are making it more difficult for
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: older people to stay in house. They are better people.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: They are more community activated. That's all they see. They
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: don't see the damage they are doing. Real damage.
- 1:08:00Speaker 9: My husband was telling me he met this guy, an
- 1:08:04Speaker 9: Italian guy from Camel. spoke broken English, came here from Italy,
- 1:08:08Speaker 9: worked his whole life, built his house with his bare hands. Ron,
- 1:08:14Speaker 9: imagine you build your house with your bare hands. His
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: property taxes went so high over the years that he
- 1:08:22Speaker 9: was telling my husband he had to go to an
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: apartment and pray that the money that he got, this
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: was a few years back, was enough to let him
- 1:08:30Speaker 9: live the rest of his life. When you think about this,
- 1:08:35Speaker 9: Do you think that man ever thought in a million
- 1:08:37Speaker 9: years that it would have gotten to this? That this
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: is where we'd be?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: But, boss lady, I'm here to tell you, and I'm serious,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: that is happening and will happen to more and more
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: of you if this goes on. I am telling all
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: of you right now, don't be stupid. They don't give
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: a damn if they price you out of your house.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: They don't give a damn if they price you out
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: of your house.
- 1:09:00Speaker 19: Out of your house.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: And they don't give a damn when they say.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: You got to go. But it's my house. It's paid.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: You're done. They don't care. We're auctioning or not. We're
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: selling it to whoever pays the taxes. But it was
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: my house. We don't care. That is the government that
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: you care so much about and what really happens to
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: you if you can't pay your taxes.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Because you're on Social Security and your husband dies. So
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: now you got half the household income or your wife
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: dies and you have half the household income. That's what
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I'm talking about. You want a few more minutes? I'll
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: get to more calls. Hang in there, boss lady. Hang in, okay?
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: Just hang in.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I'll be right back.
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: This is the.
- 1:09:46Speaker 27: First day of early in-person voting, even though the election
- 1:09:50Speaker 27: is not until November 3rd. Boards of election across the
- 1:09:53Speaker 27: state of Ohio opening at 8 in the morning until
- 1:09:57Speaker 27: 5 in the afternoon weekdays through October 23rd. There will
- 1:10:01Speaker 27: also be expanded weekday and weekend early in-person voting hours
- 1:10:06Speaker 27: in the run up to Election Day. President Trump coming
- 1:10:09Speaker 27: back to Ohio to campaign for Republican candidates. He'll speak
- 1:10:13Speaker 27: next Monday in Youngstown. The state gas tax under suspension
- 1:10:17Speaker 27: and the latest numbers from AAA. Put the price of
- 1:10:20Speaker 27: regular gas across the state of Ohio at an average
- 1:10:23Speaker 27: of $ 3.
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: 78 a gallon.
- 1:10:24Speaker 27: Down about 10 cents from yesterday and about 50 cents
- 1:10:28Speaker 27: from last week. As for diesel, current average price is
- 1:10:32Speaker 27: $ 6. 23 a gallon, down about 46 cents from last week.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: I'm Matt Reese.
- 1:10:37Speaker 11: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: and sports radio.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Podcasts, too.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Download the app.
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: Free never sounded so good.
- 1:10:47Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 1:10:51Speaker 15: one-day baths.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Ron Verb. on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Amen and hallelujah. 434
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. I mean, what you're saying,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: and we have to talk more about it as time
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: goes on, but I mean, this is vitally important, and
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I'm not trying to fool anybody. I mean, I'm trying
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: to tell you what the reality is. People will look
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: down their nose at the boss lady and, frankly, your
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: fearless leader here, and I don't care because the reality
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: is they think they're better than you. They think they're
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: better members of the community than you. And what makes
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: them better? Because we think you should have more of
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: your money taken from you to go to these noble causes.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: And forget the circumstances that happen in your life and
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: in your situation. And here's the real circumstances that I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: want to emphasize again. You vote for this stuff and
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: you pass this stuff and then you get in a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: situation like the following things that happen to people. Because
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: this is the reality. Senior citizens, this is why you
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: got to get off your arse and go out and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: vote against this nonsense. Because you say, okay, well, maybe
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: we can afford it or it's for the kids or
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: it's for MRD, whatever. And the next thing you know,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: if you're on Social Security, the two of you, one
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: of you dies. Now your household income is cut in half.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: And now you're looking and saying, I can't afford to
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: stay in the house that we raised our kids in
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: and I've been in all my life that I wanted
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: to die in. I can't afford to stay here. This
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: is the reality of what happens to people when they
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: become older because somebody dies and the income is cut
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: in half. Here's what happens to people before then. Well, okay,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: we're going to do it. Then you go through a divorce.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: And now all of a sudden you have a lot
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: less money and you can't afford to stay in that
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: house either anymore. This is life circumstances. And do you
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: think these people that are out there saying, I'm going
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: to put this sign in because I'm so for the
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: community and what is good. Do you think any of
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: those people give a rat's ass? About the old people
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: that fall into that or the guy that goes through
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: a divorce that falls into that or somebody whose spouse
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: dies for whatever reason? Do you think they care? Or
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: do you think they care if somebody in let's say
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: we have some more difficult economic times, we hit a
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: recession and you lose your job. And you can't find
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: a job that pays that. Do you think they care
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: that you're falling behind on your taxes? Let me answer
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: my own question. Here's what happens. We're going to auction
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: your house off to someone else. And then you've got
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: to get the hell out of it. Those people that
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: are these great, caring community people... Aren't going to come
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: knocking on your door and saying, hey, let's give you
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: a tax break here. Let's raise some money so you
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: don't have to leave. They're not going to do any
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: of that. They're going to say, you can't afford to
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: live here. Get out. And that's when I see their
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: true colors. And I do mean, who sang that song,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: your true colors? Timmy Lauper?
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I don't know. Yes, I think you're right. But that's
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: when you see the true colors. But these are the
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: real things that happen to people. And we're just using
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the city of Canfield because you mentioned there are other
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: places with levees that are on. But I mean, these
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: are significant numbers. And these pious people and I do
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: mean pious people that are sitting up there that think, well,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: you know, and we just need to hear you. Yeah,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: we just need to dupe enough people to vote for this.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: They don't realize the harm they're doing. And I do
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: mean harm. Making it difficult for younger people to buy
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: a home because the property taxes are so damn expensive,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: in addition to the cost of the home, in addition
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: to the weekly payment and insurance. You're just throwing another
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: log on the fire that says, I can't afford to
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: own a home. That's what you're doing to your kids
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: or your grandkids if you fall for this crap. You're
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: not a great citizen or a better community member. You're
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: almost like a cancer to the community. You're destroying it.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You're smothering it. You're taking away opportunity from the young,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: and you're crushing your elder citizens. You're destroying your community.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 1:15:10Speaker 9: And the more we vote for these levies, every time
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: we vote for them, we are telling the state, we
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: got it. We got it.
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: We'll take it.
- 1:15:19Speaker 9: We got it. We're going to carry the burden on
- 1:15:21Speaker 9: our homes. Every time we tell the state that, the
- 1:15:24Speaker 9: state turns around and gives less money to that school district,
- 1:15:27Speaker 9: and people need to understand that. And you can look
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: at it. When we say we got it, they give
- 1:15:33Speaker 9: less to the school district. Camel, for example. Those people
- 1:15:38Speaker 9: don't have very many levies. You know what the state does?
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: It pumps them with money. So people need to wake up.
- 1:15:45Speaker 9: You're doing this to yourself. You are telling the state
- 1:15:50Speaker 9: you are signing up to take the burden on your
- 1:15:53Speaker 9: darn home.
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: Your home.
- 1:15:55Speaker 9: You're saying, I got it.
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: I got it. We got it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 9: This community, we will fund it. And you know what
- 1:16:01Speaker 9: the state says?
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: Now we got more grant money. Let's go build a
- 1:16:05Speaker 9: swing set. Let's go do a log cabin. Let's, you know,
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: a hundred year old log cabin. Let's do this. Oh,
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: let's give money to this little nonprofit over here that's
- 1:16:14Speaker 9: got 72 different, you know, ways that it's being supported.
- 1:16:19Speaker 9: You know, come on. You're right. They think they're better.
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: They want to snub their nose in the air and say,
- 1:16:25Speaker 9: how dare you? How dare you? But the children, they're
- 1:16:29Speaker 9: the greediest worst of all. They're the worst of all.
- 1:16:35Speaker 9: Because nobody is saying that we don't need to take
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: care of mentally disabled. Nobody is saying we don't want
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: the children don't need schools. Nobody is saying any of that.
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: They intentionally are not hearing the message.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:16:49Speaker 9: And it's tiring.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: They are.
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: That's why I needed you last week, and I don't
- 1:16:55Speaker 9: know where you were, but I was going to drive
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: up and down Austintown on Mahoning. Where is Ron?
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Well, I'm telling you, this is a serious problem. And
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I hope people understand it. I mean, it's just... And
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: that is going to be here in a blink of
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: an eye, folks. In a blink of an eye. And to...
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: All right. I'm with you. Stay in touch. Glad to
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: be back.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: I will.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Thank you. All right. There she is. The boss lady,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: the bowler. I got to give her a lot of credits.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: And I got to give a lot of you a
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: lot of credit. But I'm telling you the God's honest truth.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: And I don't sit here. How do I... I say
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: this to you and I say it to you often. Listen,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I wish nothing but the best for each and every
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: one of you. I hope you stay healthy and live
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: a long life and you're happy. I really do. Hope
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: you stay healthy. That's the most important thing in the world.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: You got to be healthy. Hope you have happiness. All
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: that kind of jazz. But I'm telling you, there is
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: a snob. There's almost a snobness about it all. And
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I don't much care for it. And I look at
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: the big picture for each and every one of you.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: And for example, all of these people that are noble of,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I'm going to put this sign in for the school levy.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: It makes me a better member of the community. Like,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: for example, let's say you're retired. Well, I'm going to
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: tell you something. Every year, your Medicare premium is going
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: to go up. It's 202 this year. It's going to
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: go up next year. And for your supplement plan or
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: your Part D prescriptions, plan, those costs are going to
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: go up as well because it's insurance and it goes up.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: So whatever your raise is on Social Security, it gets
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: really ate up by the additional cost in medical coverage.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I don't know that these people even know that, but
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I know that these people don't give a damn about that.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: And many of them don't get it until it affects them.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: But you want to burden people's households pretty much forever.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: And if you go back to my father's generation... He
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: took home a lot more money than any of us
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: are percentage-wise. He didn't make as much, but he took
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: more home. Well, that isn't the case today. Now the
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: government's taking way too much of your money, and you've
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: got a bunch of pompous-ass politicians sitting around thinking, oh,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: that's the way it should be. And I'm going to
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: tell you something, and I'll tell it to you again.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: The only thing you should really be sitting on any
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: additional property taxes for is for your police department, your
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: fire department, your ambulance, and your road department. You've got
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: to have trucks to plow the roads. You've got to
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: have a cop show up. You've got to have a
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: fire truck show up, and you need an ambulance. Those
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: are the most important things. Keep your powder dry. The
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: rest of these places are going to have to learn
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: to live within their budgets and all the money that
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: they've got coming in. They're going to have to live
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: with that instead of them saying, well, you're going to
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: have to do with less or get priced out of
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: your home. Screw that. And I believe looking at the
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: big picture, I honestly believe these people are like a
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: cancer on society because I don't know that they even
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: realize the damage they're doing to everybody. And in many cases,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: they don't care. But it is a cancer and That
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: continues to grow... And eat at every single household... And
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: what that monthly expense is.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I mean I look at my own... Property taxes and
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: it's ridiculous... So that's what I'm saying to each and
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: every one of you.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: And I've said this in the past... I've said it
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: numerous times. I've won some and I've lost some. That's
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: just the way it works. I would never, ever, I
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: didn't vote for, wouldn't vote for, talked about it on
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: the air, do not vote for this WRTA quarter percent
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: forever tax. And yet people passed it. So it's a
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: forever tax. They never have to get it renewed. There's
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: zero accountability on it. And I'm telling you, the WRTA's
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: biggest problem is how do we spend $ 10, $ 12 million
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: that comes in every year? We've got to spend this money.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Now they don't even charge you to ride the bus.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Get on. It's free. We're going to buy all these
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: electric buses. We're going to rip down the old bus garage.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: We're going to build a better one, a bigger one.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Because we've got to, because we've got to figure out
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: a way to spend all this damn money. We've got
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: to dole a lot out, obviously, in paying benefits. Now
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: we've got to get rid of a lot of the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: rest of it. And this is what they have to
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: do every year because that comes in every year on
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: a sales tax. Just like I say, they dupe these
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: people with the I love my library. Well, you know what?
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I tell you, WRTA has more money than they know
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: what to do with. Their biggest headache is figuring out
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: how to spend it. And I'm here to tell you
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: the library has the same damn thing. This woman that
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: runs the library has just hired a bunch of people
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: at the top to kind of insulate her and protect her.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: That launched this horrible campaign against the good architect that
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: designed the Poland library and the beautiful thing that it
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: did for that community. I mean, they view the public
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: as an enemy. They view the people who live in
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: that community who love the structure as the enemy. Don't
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: you tell us what you want. We'll tell you what
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: we're going to do. Just pay your tax dollars to
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: us and shut up. And they also have more money
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: than they know what to do with. You might love
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: your library, but you sure as hell should get some
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: books on finances because you don't know how much property
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: taxes you're paying and how much of your money they're
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: pissing away because they're pissing away a lot of it.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: And let's hire a bunch of these cronies at the top.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: They don't do anything. They don't fix anything. They don't
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: maintain the buildings or caulk any windows. They just sit
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: there and push paper trying to justify all of this nonsense.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: And it is nonsense. I know it's nonsense and they
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: know it's nonsense. They're collecting a paycheck and they know
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: it's bull crap. But it don't matter. So that's where
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: we are today. And that's where you are today. And
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I sit here in a catbird seat and why does
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: it matter to me? Because I get the phone calls
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: and I get the emails And there's no way that
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: it doesn't affect you when you read some of it.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: And many of them, they don't want me to read
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: their names or read their things on the air and
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: their thoughts. And I understand that. But I don't want
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: those emails coming from you to me. I got an
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: email yesterday. The guy said to me, he always thought
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: I was full of a bunch of hot air, basically.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: And he's right. You know, I was listening to you
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: basically bitching about property. I thought you were full of
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: a bunch of hot air until we paid our house off.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: And then I realized how much I was paying. And
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: then I finally got it and understood. Well, it's a
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: little late.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: It's a.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: Little late.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: It's a little late. That's why I say to you,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I'm not going to be around forever. Obviously, I'm close
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: to the end and I am the beginning. I've been
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: here for 41 years. But, you know, thank God for
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: people like the boss lady that champions a lot of
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: this stuff. You know the biggest fear to a school board?
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you. You want to know what
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: the biggest fear is? Rich the pharmacist. You want to
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: know why? Because he's smart and he reads this stuff.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: No one else reads it. He does. He reads the contracts.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: He reads the benefit packages. And he realizes how much
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: of your money is just wasted in a lot of
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: these school systems. And you know what their goal is?
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Make sure he doesn't get elected to anything because he's
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: too damn smart. You know, one of the reasons why
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I love DeSantis in Florida is I'm going to give
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: you one reason why I love DeSantis in Florida for
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: what he stands for. I agree with what he stands for.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: You know what he does? He reads. He reads this stuff.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: And he makes wise decisions based on what he reads.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: In Florida, they do zero-based budgeting. In other words, we
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: don't care what you got last year. We're not going
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: to say, well, this is what I got last year.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: We need a 4% increase. No, we started at zero.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: Now you've got to justify what you need this year.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: DeSantis asks the question, well, wait a minute. Why, if
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: you have less students in your school system, do you
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: need this much more money? You have less students. What
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: the hell's going on here? If you really look at
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Ron DeSantis and how he runs Florida, you realize I
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: would vote for him for president tomorrow. You realize what
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: a bright guy he is. There are some shining lights
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: out there. Like I said, I look locally at Dave
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Thomas as a state rep. He's a shining light. He's
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: a public servant that really understands the system. He's not
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: my state rep in my area or I'd vote for
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: him happily. I look at Pleschnik up in Lake County. Commissioner, no.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: The man's just brilliant. Duke educated lawyer. Commissioner, college professor.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Try arguing with him and tell him how you need
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: more money. No one cares about you and the homeowner.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: And that's got to stop. Are you self-employed, retired, starting?
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning at 456 on
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. You're on the air.
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: Ronald.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: It's Ted the Traveler.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: Ted the Traveler.
- 1:28:39Speaker 7: Hey, I'm listening to the program today, and I caught
- 1:28:44Speaker 7: the 4 o'clock hour.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: And I heard something.
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: I said, wow, Ron hasn't said a thing about that.
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: Can you guess what I'm talking about?
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Your hemorrhoidal problem?
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: No, the stock market.
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: You know, every time the market's down... I put on
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: the Ron Ver program, and I hear the sky is falling.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: Well, I never even checked. I must confess, I didn't
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: even bring up my ticker today.
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: Well, you're usually on the ticker every.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: Day monitoring your millions of dollars you have.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: I just got back. I just got back. You know,
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: it's like, you know, I wasn't in Greece or anything
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: like that, but, I mean, I took a couple days off.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: I didn't bring up the ticker. S & P 500
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: posts first close above 7,800, boosted by tech gains and
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: cooler yields. Okay. All right. So let's see.
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: So is the sky no longer falling?
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: No, no, none. The Dow's up 253. The S &
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: P' s up 44. NASDAQ's up 122. No, the issue in
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: tech is a real growth area because of A1. Pass
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: me the A1, please. I need some steak sauce over here.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: I'm going to rename it A1 instead of what did
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: Trump want to call it, SI? I want to name
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: it A1, artificial intelligence. Hey, I'll get back to that momentarily.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: You know what I was hearing a guy talk about
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: the other day?
- 1:30:14Speaker 10: What's that?
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: He said, you want to know the– I think I
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: saved it. I think I might have saved it. I
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: got to find– he was talking about what concerns him
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: with artificial intelligence. And I said– or basically said to me,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: now any nut job through artificial intelligence can be given
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: information on how to make a bioweapon. or how to
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: do some real harm to society. Terrorists that had a
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: hard time finding this information are getting it. The access
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: that they will have through AI to be able to
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: do things that they're unable to do right now will
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: be eye-opening. I never thought of that.
- 1:31:00Speaker 7: I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I think there's a
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: lot of concern with AI just for.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: What you said.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: Stand by, Ted. Stand by. Back with Ted the Conservative. Mr.
- 1:31:12Speaker 14: Grease, when we come back after this. Mike Rowe here
- 1:31:16Speaker 14: with a random fact. More than half of the homes
- 1:31:19Speaker 14: that have basements in North America will experience water damage.
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: It's true.
- 1:31:23Speaker 14: Whether it's basement moisture, flooding, or bowing walls, do yourself
- 1:31:28Speaker 14: a favor. Call GroundWorks. I spent some time working with
- 1:31:31Speaker 14: these guys. They're the real deal. Their people are trained
- 1:31:34Speaker 14: and certified to waterproof your basement and stabilize your walls.
- 1:31:38Speaker 14: Ohio Basement Authority is now GroundWorks. Schedule a free inspection.

- 1:32:04Speaker 6: Fox News.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: I think we're going to do very well.
- 1:32:06Speaker 23: President Trump says the rallies he's holding are changing things around.
- 1:32:10Speaker 23: He's been visiting mainly Republican-friendly states, aiming to boost turnout
- 1:32:14Speaker 23: from his base for GOP candidates. But today, taking questions
- 1:32:18Speaker 23: just before heading to a Baltimore shipyard as an example
- 1:32:21Speaker 23: of his agenda spurring investment.
- 1:32:23Speaker 20: TradePoint Atlantic has partnered with Andral Industries to build submarine
- 1:32:27Speaker 20: and submarine parts.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: The investment from Andral is going to be $ 3.
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: 7 billion and eventually create 3,100 jobs.
- 1:32:35Speaker 23: Fox Business's Edward Lawrence. Andrew says the new high-tech shipyard
- 1:32:39Speaker 23: will make components for the Navy's Virginia-class submarines. Maryland's Democratic
- 1:32:44Speaker 23: governor has called the shipyard the largest investment in the
- 1:32:46Speaker 23: state in decades. Attorneys for Krista Pike, the convicted killer
- 1:32:51Speaker 23: who survived an attempted lethal injection in Tennessee, now say
- 1:32:55Speaker 23: she's awake and speaking. as she continues to receive critical
- 1:32:58Speaker 23: medical care, but they say her prognosis remains unclear. A
- 1:33:02Speaker 23: national day of action in France as student protests over
- 1:33:05Speaker 23: school conditions expand.
- 1:33:07Speaker 20: Tens of thousands of people taking to the streets, demonstrating
- 1:33:10Speaker 20: and calling for equality in French schools.
- 1:33:13Speaker 6: And during many of these.
- 1:33:14Speaker 20: Protests, there have been some clashes between demonstrators and police,
- 1:33:18Speaker 20: with officers using tear gas at some points to clear
- 1:33:22Speaker 20: the crowded.
- 1:33:23Speaker 23: Fox's Jeff Paul in Paris, thousands of arrests and hundreds
- 1:33:26Speaker 23: of injuries reported. A mega Hollywood merger is now a
- 1:33:30Speaker 23: done deal. Paramount completing its $ 81 billion takeover of Warner
- 1:33:33Speaker 23: Brothers a year after Paramount was purchased by Skydance, which
- 1:33:37Speaker 23: will be the name of the new company, bringing two
- 1:33:39Speaker 23: of America's oldest movie-making studios together. That merger faced multiple lawsuits.
- 1:33:44Speaker 23: Critics argue the settlements reached don't do enough to address
- 1:33:48Speaker 23: concerns about job loss. and fewer choices for consumers, including

- 1:35:07Speaker 1: All right, let me go back to my version of
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Anthony Bourdain. It's Ted the Conservative. Travel to Greece.
- 1:35:14Speaker 7: Anthony Bourdain.
- 1:35:16Speaker 26: Yeah.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: Good one.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: You ever see him? And so you're kind of like
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: my version of them because you're out traveling the world
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: eating and making camaraderie. So here's the deal on the
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: stock market outside of it. Okay, the market's up. I
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: mentioned market when it's down. I didn't look at it today.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: But here's the problem in the stock markets that I've learned.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Volatility is going on. It's not a good thing. I mean,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: for the stock market, volatility is not good or the
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: investor is. And the bond market isn't good right now.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: These aren't promising signs as to what's going on. A
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: lot of this market increase that you're looking at is
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: AI spending that's going on with that. The situation in
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: the Middle East has not been resolved, and the situation
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: in Ukraine has not been resolved. So those things.
- 1:36:06Speaker 7: That's another bone I got to pick with you.
- 1:36:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: Well, you've got a lot of bones to pick with me.
- 1:36:12Speaker 7: When you tell us how bad the market's doing, we
- 1:36:14Speaker 7: don't give that definition. So I'd like to just keep
- 1:36:18Speaker 7: it clean. Market's up, market's down, no siding.
- 1:36:23Speaker 5: How's that?
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: Would that be the rule?
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: No, because, like, wait a second. Oh, I just lost
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: my ticker. I hate to say that. No, because, like,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: you've got to look at why it's doing it. You know, like,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: for example.
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: You sound like a Democrat, Ron.
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: No.
- 1:36:38Speaker 7: You're making what ifs.
- 1:36:41Speaker 5: No, I'm not.
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: It doesn't matter how you make the sausage. You just
- 1:36:45Speaker 7: want the sausage.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. What I'm telling you is, you know,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: from an investment standpoint, volatility in a market isn't good. Now,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. And so what I'm telling
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you is the bonds aren't good.
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: Every time you tell us the market's down.
- 1:37:00Speaker 6: We don't go into this.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: No, I read you the headline, just as I can
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: read the headlines today, which says S & P 500
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: posts first close above 7,800, boosted by tech gains and
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: cooler yields. I don't want to know how this sausage
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: is made.
- 1:37:15Speaker 7: I just want to eat the sausage.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Well, you know what? I'm going to tell you, as
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: an investor, you better know how it's made. Otherwise, you're
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: going to lose money as an investor because you better understand.
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: But this isn't about us investing.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Well, it most certainly is.
- 1:37:27Speaker 7: Mark it up, Mark it down.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: I am not. I am not here to be a
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: cheerleader one way or the other. And I will say
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: in general, if you're asking me for a general take
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: on things, I think the economy has big problems. And
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: I think there's big problems as far as Treasury, the
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: cost on Treasuries and in volatility in the stock market.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: And once again, I say it to you again, these
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: situations have not been resolved. And we shall see what
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: happens in Ukraine. We shall see what happens in the
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: Middle East and in the midterms. There's a lot of
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: volatility going on in the world right now that can
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: change markets. dramatically, my biggest concern is you can see
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: markets go down and stay down. We're in a mentality
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: that market goes up, market goes down, which it has
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: done a lot of. Okay, it's down. Well, then it
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: comes back in two weeks, and then it goes down
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: and back and this kind of stuff. Well, markets can
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: go down and sit down for a period of time.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: That's not a good thing if you're a retiree or
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: close to retirement. It can have a dramatic effect on your.
- 1:38:33Speaker 7: I would agree, and then markets can also go down.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: And come up and stay up.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: That's very true, too. That's very true.
- 1:38:41Speaker 7: Like I said, I don't want to know how the
- 1:38:43Speaker 7: sausage is made. I just want to know if the
- 1:38:45Speaker 7: sausage is good or bad today. Well, today the sausage
- 1:38:48Speaker 7: was good.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: And I want to know how the sausage is made.
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: You let us know when it's bad.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: Well, I let you know when it's good, too.
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: I want to call and let you know when it's good.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: You know, see, that's the thing. I can be dangerous
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: because I talk to all these financial guys, and they
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: taught me a lot about finances. Like, I'll be interviewing
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: the Rockport guys tomorrow and recording that program for future.
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: You are a wealth of knowledge.
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: I'm not being sarcastic.
- 1:39:10Speaker 7: I'm being very honest. You are a wealth of knowledge,
- 1:39:13Speaker 7: and when you... decide to hang up the microphone one day,
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: the community is going to be at a loss, especially
- 1:39:19Speaker 7: those that don't listen on a regular basis.
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: Well, what troubles me is, do you agree with my
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: comments to the boss lady today with these people that
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: think they look down their noses? We're better community members
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: than all of you that are opposed to this stuff.
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: We care more about the kids in the community. You
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: don't understand the harm that you're doing to people.
- 1:39:39Speaker 10: I agree with you.
- 1:39:42Speaker 7: And you know what else I got to tell you?
- 1:39:43Speaker 7: When I was listening to the boss lady, I thought
- 1:39:45Speaker 7: to myself, well, I bet when her kids messed up,
- 1:39:49Speaker 7: they feared going home. Hey, she's got a streak in
- 1:39:55Speaker 7: her boy, huh? I'll tell you what, when she gets
- 1:39:58Speaker 7: fired up.
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: Look out.
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:40:00Speaker 7: But God bless her. You know, God bless her. She's
- 1:40:02Speaker 7: one of the few that invest the time and the energy.
- 1:40:07Speaker 7: And she shares that with us. And just like you,
- 1:40:10Speaker 7: she educates everyone.
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Right. It's like I can tell you, and I mean
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: it sincerely, you take a guy like Richard Farmacist when
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: he ran for that one school board position and he lost,
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: but not by much, incidentally. Their biggest agenda was to
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: stop him. Their biggest agenda was to do everything they
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: could do to prevent him.
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: We could have spoken out earlier on, Rich, about just
- 1:40:32Speaker 7: voting for Rich and no one else. I think we
- 1:40:34Speaker 7: could have got him elected. I think he started that
- 1:40:37Speaker 7: a little bit late.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: You know what? That I 100% agree with. And you
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: were correct on that assessment. And I dropped the ball there.
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: And that's right. You should have just voted for Rich
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: and only Rich in that thing.
- 1:40:49Speaker 7: That's what you got to do in those situations. He
- 1:40:51Speaker 7: came really close without, you know. putting signs and doing
- 1:40:56Speaker 7: much other than getting on the wrong group show.
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: And think of my goal because the whole– and if
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: he would have got that position, the area would be
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: better off. That's all I'm trying to do because he reads.
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: He's smart. That's all I'm looking for is.
- 1:41:13Speaker 7: You could have opinions about Rich, but you can't doubt–
- 1:41:18Speaker 7: you can't question his knowledge on schools and the finance
- 1:41:22Speaker 7: and funding of schools and the operation of schools.
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: Or even government, when he looks into that kind of stuff.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: I mean, that's what it's all about. All right, so
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: I got on your back.
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: Let me run this one up the flagpole before you
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: hang up on me.
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: And I'll see if I salute.
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: Okay, you probably won't, but that's okay.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: I don't like it. What are you, testing this today?
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: You seem like you're... I had no.
- 1:41:45Speaker 7: Intention of calling until I heard the stock market, and
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: then I said, that son of a gun. He's always
- 1:41:51Speaker 7: bellyaching when the market's down, but when it's up.
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: He doesn't say a word. You couldn't say, listen, I
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: realize it's your day back after four days off. You're
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: dropping the ball here. No, you go in for the kill.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: I tell you, he's tough on me, folks. He's back
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: from Greece, and he's like... and he's gone.
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: For four weeks you had it easy i gotta get
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: i gotta get back on top of you keep you
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: on your toes yes but listen to this one catching
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: up on podcast i hear you saying how dare ukraine
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: not listen and bend the knee to the dawn about
- 1:42:27Speaker 7: bombing russia and i thought to myself Donald Trump's never
- 1:42:33Speaker 7: done anything to give Ukraine weapons to fight offensively. As
- 1:42:38Speaker 7: a matter of fact, when he came into office, he
- 1:42:41Speaker 7: wanted to stop, and he did stop giving them defensive weapons.
- 1:42:45Speaker 4: He did.
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: He stopped the pipeline. He didn't continue with that. So
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: not only did he say, we're not going to help
- 1:42:51Speaker 7: you win, I'm not going to help you defend yourself.
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: So NATO had to step in and say, hey, we'll
- 1:42:55Speaker 7: buy the weapons from you guys. We've got to help
- 1:42:58Speaker 7: these people protect themselves. And, of course, Donald Trump, the miser,
- 1:43:02Speaker 7: the businessman, said, okay, if you want to buy them,
- 1:43:04Speaker 7: we'll sell them to you, but I'm not giving them
- 1:43:06Speaker 7: to you. This country's been at war for five years.
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: They've had bombs falling on them. Who in the heck
- 1:43:13Speaker 7: are we to tell them to not take an offensive
- 1:43:17Speaker 7: position and just to let Russia continue to bomb the
- 1:43:20Speaker 7: hell out of them? I don't understand your reasoning on
- 1:43:23Speaker 7: that one, so tell me where I'm not understanding it.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: Well, those are all long answers. But the reality is,
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: I think the United States, I don't think the United
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: States is into this deeply as far as what's going
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: on in the Ukraine, obviously, with our intelligence and obviously
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: with our backing to a large extent in providing, giving
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: them free weapons and now selling them to the UN
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: and then they give them to the Ukraine. I think
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: that you've got to be cautious of what's going on
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: over there in a situation like I'm going to be
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: realistic with you. If Russia wanted to, they could have
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: totally annihilated Ukraine very early on. I think they've been
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: holding back. Here's the reality. Russia is a bigger country,
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: has a bigger army, and is a superpower.
- 1:44:19Speaker 7: You should just bend the knee and say, go ahead, Russia.
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: Come on, Vladimir. Come take what you want.
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: Well, not necessarily. Now you get me into these long
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: discussions on why he did what he did.
- 1:44:29Speaker 7: Let me show another curveball at you.
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: I mean, should he say continue to slaughter? Well, hang
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: on one second. Just give me one second to say something.
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: You know, where they were slaughtering these Russian-speaking people and
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. I think I'm going to put
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: all my cards on the table. I think there was
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: an agenda in the United States to start this situation,
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: and I believe it could have been avoided and resolved
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: during the Biden administration by compromising on some of this stuff.
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: The one situation about wars is you can't predict the outcome,
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: and they can escalate very quickly. And by doing what
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: you're doing, if if if. Oh, what's his name? Zelensky
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: isn't listening to Trump when he says you're you're a
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: good ally. The United States has done so much for you.
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: Do not attack those the refineries. And he does it anyway.
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: Then who is he listening to? Because all Trump is saying,
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: you're going to create a global economic problem that's going
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: to be hard to come back from. So now you
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: have to wonder, I mean, I would speculate that deeply
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: has to piss off Trump, and it should because it
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: creates a big problem with diesel and ultimately heating oil.
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: He's telling him that because Trump started a war that
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: disrupted the refinery business.
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: Well, that's true, too. But Trump is saying that. And
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: if Zelensky isn't listening to the president of the United States,
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: my question is, then who is he listening to?
- 1:46:02Speaker 7: I don't know that he's listening to anyone, whether he's
- 1:46:07Speaker 7: trying to survive. Whether we like Zelensky or not, that's irrelevant.
- 1:46:11Speaker 7: I think what he's trying to do is prevent that
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: country from being destroyed. plain and simple.
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: Well, from a military standpoint, would you not agree that
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: Russia's a superpower? They have more people, a bigger army,
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: and they're a superpower. You know what?
- 1:46:24Speaker 7: That used to be the general consensus, you and I thought,
- 1:46:27Speaker 7: just like Putin thought he was going to go in
- 1:46:29Speaker 7: there and wipe these people out in a week.
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: No, I don't think he did that. I don't think he...
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: I don't think he thought that at all. I don't
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: think he's done that at all yet. Because if he
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: wanted to, he very easily could.
- 1:46:40Speaker 5: Five years.
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: Five years and he's not achieved his goal. That's going
- 1:46:44Speaker 7: to be, he'll make Trump's Iran war look good. I mean,
- 1:46:48Speaker 7: let's be honest. You keep saying if he wanted to
- 1:46:50Speaker 7: end it, he couldn't.
- 1:46:51Speaker 5: Guess what?
- 1:46:52Speaker 7: If he took those aggressive stances you're advocating for that
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: he could take, guess what would happen to Russia? You
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: don't think the world will come crashing down on them
- 1:47:03Speaker 7: if they did something.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: They have to go nuclear.
- 1:47:06Speaker 7: Let's be honest.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: That's what I'm discussing. I think anybody that goes nuclear
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: is making a gigantic mistake.
- 1:47:15Speaker 7: That's the only option Russia has left. They're importing fighters
- 1:47:19Speaker 7: from North Korea.
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: No, I don't think they have been hurt by this
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: more than they've.
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you, do you think the Ukraine
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: has been hurt since they've personally wiped out a lot?
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: I mean, they don't really have a military.
- 1:47:33Speaker 7: Russia started the war. And like you said, Biden, Vladimir
- 1:47:38Speaker 7: was telegraphing this thing for months and months. And Biden,
- 1:47:43Speaker 7: Sleepy Joe, was getting ice cream and taking naps. I mean,
- 1:47:46Speaker 7: everyone knew what the intent was. We can argue the why,
- 1:47:49Speaker 7: but that's not the issue. The issue I'm just talking
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: about is plain and simple. We are where we're at today, right?
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: Well, I go back to this. Right. But that's irrelevant,
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: as you say, because it did happen. But I think
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: if Russia wanted to wipe them out, they could wipe
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: them out without nuclear weapons. I don't know.
- 1:48:09Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:48:10Speaker 7: I think they've tried very hard and they're struggling.
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: I really do.
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: I think they've been somewhat tactical. I think the saddest
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: is the gigantic loss of life. Yes. and in Russia.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: These are all somebody's sons that are dying over there,
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: and quite frankly— This can escalate very quickly as you're
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: launching into Russia and you're not listening to the President
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: of the United States. Just as, make no mistake, the
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: situation in Iran can escalate very quickly, too. There is
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: no predictability when you start situations like this. And we
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: haven't been very good at it either. Now, there's a
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: big difference in what we're doing because it's 6,000 miles
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: away from the United States with Iran. But Russia... The
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: Ukraine's right there where Russia's at. So, Ted, I thought
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: I'd never say this to you, but size matters.
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: Hey, Ron, guess what?
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: I got to go.
- 1:49:06Speaker 6: Son of a gun.
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: Now he started doing that. He started the I got
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: to go. He started the I got to go. You're
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: on air.
- 1:49:23Speaker 8: Ronnie, I'm going to stick around for a while.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: You're like a flu. You're spreading.
- 1:49:30Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:49:32Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:49:32Speaker 8: Just like, well, I have no Russian roots, but I
- 1:49:37Speaker 8: know a guy in a factory of sadness.
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: Is there a factory of sadness? Did you happen to
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: see Sunday– well, not Sunday, Thursday? I mean, so far,
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: the year is shaping up okay for the Browns. Everyone
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: is like– like they were saying on the radio broadcast,
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: it's like the cardiac kids, if you remember those days,
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: and I know you do. But it's like back with
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: this version of the Browns. It is the cardiac kids
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: all over because it's never like– a big win that
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: you can just sit back and relax, but oh my God.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:50:12Speaker 8: I think the big, they could be winning 40 to
- 1:50:15Speaker 8: nothing and you're still terrified, but three in one at
- 1:50:19Speaker 8: this point is great. The guardians going down to, um,
- 1:50:24Speaker 8: still got to hit the next three. I don't know
- 1:50:27Speaker 8: if they can do it, but, uh, Anyhow.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: Let me just put it this way. Let me simply
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: put it this way. Is it possible that they can
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: win just tomorrow at 4 o'clock? Can they play and
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: win maybe tomorrow, please? That's all I'm asking for.
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:50:44Speaker 8: Give us some hope, right?
- 1:50:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: Give me some hope.
- 1:50:50Speaker 8: The boss lady, though, apparently she doesn't know you've been
- 1:50:54Speaker 8: in the bunker for the last four days. She doesn't
- 1:50:57Speaker 8: know you have a bunker.
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: No, that's G2. And I can't disclose more about it.
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: It's just a bunker under the earth's crust somewhere in
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: an undisclosed location. I can't tell you exactly where it is.
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: It's General Jameson. You have to clear everything through him.
- 1:51:13Speaker 8: Hey, the boss brought up a lot of great point stuff.
- 1:51:19Speaker 8: One of them was the tax breaks for these big corporations.
- 1:51:26Speaker 8: So There should be some kind of law in Ohio where, yeah,
- 1:51:31Speaker 8: you might get a tax break, but you have to
- 1:51:34Speaker 8: be in production for two years and be profitable before
- 1:51:40Speaker 8: you get the tax break. You know, not like the
- 1:51:44Speaker 8: chill can plant. They just buy property, get a tax break.
- 1:51:48Speaker 8: The blimp plant, remember they're going to make DeLoreans here.
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: Yes, I do remember that.
- 1:51:57Speaker 6: Stand by.
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: Let me do my break. I do remember all of those.
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: Hang on a minute. Back in a minute. He's going
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: to stay instead of go after this. Well, by now
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: you should know not all CBD oil is created. 524
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: Hello.
- 1:52:16Speaker 6: Good evening, Ron.
- 1:52:16Speaker 7: How are you?
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: He's out of the bunker. And by satellite phone, we
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: are communicating currently. Did you dial in? Did you dial
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: in to press con one?
- 1:52:28Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:52:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I did. Yeah.
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: Okay. I just want to make sure because there are
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: no sunspot issues. Are there over?
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: The sunspots have settled down, and we're sliding into that
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: easy autumn weather. So it's less volatile now.
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: Okay, good. We have a clear connection. You can hear
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: me clearly? Over. Check.
- 1:52:49Speaker 4: Got you four by four.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: All right. So what do you make of it all?
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: Start with your thoughts and commentary of the day.
- 1:52:59Speaker 4: Well, one thing, I didn't catch whatever was said about
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: tax breaks for startups. But if you're talking about income taxes,
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: of course, there's no value in a tax break on
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: income you never earn. So if a project is proposed
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: but goes under, there's no cost to the taxing authority.
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: There's no cost to the taxpayers, right? If you're talking
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: about upfront investments in infrastructure, well, then you've still got
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: your roads and on-ramps and off-ramps and things. But if
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: you're talking about income tax abatement or even property tax abatement,
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: a project that tries to get started and fails, it
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: really just costs the investors, not the community. But it's
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: the ones that get going and survive that then have
- 1:53:46Speaker 4: a significant cost advantage over the competition that's already in place.
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: There's a problem. And then the whole question of, should
- 1:53:53Speaker 4: there really be tax abatements? for profitable companies. Why should
- 1:53:58Speaker 4: they be taxed differently than older companies or citizens in
- 1:54:01Speaker 4: the case of property taxes? And it's a fair question.
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: It should be answered. Another question, why do we have
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: nonprofit hospitals that could buy a property tax-paying asset and
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: turn it into something that doesn't pay taxes anymore, all
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: of a sudden dumping more load on the homeowners and
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: the apartment renters and home renters? You know, we've got
- 1:54:24Speaker 4: some real problems around this. But, again, the idea of
- 1:54:27Speaker 4: a company that gets abatements and then doesn't survive, it's
- 1:54:31Speaker 4: just another attempt at fail that doesn't really cost anybody anything,
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: you know, unless they get up front financing that they
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: don't repay, like a TIF bond. So just a thought.
- 1:54:41Speaker 4: I'm not sure what that context was. You know, I
- 1:54:45Speaker 4: think we're in a period of tremendous volatility and uncertainty
- 1:54:50Speaker 4: in in a lot of different ways, and it feels
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: like things are shifting again.
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: Explain.
- 1:54:57Speaker 4: Well, you know, if you're looking around at the war,
- 1:55:01Speaker 4: for example, we're now, I'm not sure how many days
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: it's been since they've had their ports blockaded and a
- 1:55:07Speaker 4: lot of their infrastructure destroyed, but Iran is in a
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: really hard way. They've been denied billions and billions of
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: dollars of cash flow.
- 1:55:17Speaker 13: That they need.
- 1:55:18Speaker 4: You know, they aren't making payroll for the IRGC and
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: the bureaucrats. It looks like hyperinflation is continuing. That doesn't
- 1:55:25Speaker 4: seem to be abating. They can't import or export much
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: of anything, a little bit here and there on the
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: rail lines or whatnot, but not a lot, some by truck,
- 1:55:34Speaker 4: not a lot. And the pressures are building. The Kurds
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: have been active in some way. It's really hard to
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: get really good information on this. We'll have more later
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: in the week, but the But it feels like pressure
- 1:55:48Speaker 4: is really building. And, of course, globally pressure is building
- 1:55:54Speaker 4: because these diesel prices, of course, much higher in other
- 1:55:59Speaker 4: markets than they are here, but very high here. The
- 1:56:02Speaker 4: loss of the diesel capacity that NATO took out in Russia,
- 1:56:06Speaker 4: you know, the loss of diesel capacity that the Democrats
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: have taken out in the United States, it's now really
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: putting more and more pressure on On Iran, there is
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: nobody that's rushing to their aid. So now we're into
- 1:56:21Speaker 4: this thing since February. Well, really, since March. It was
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: February 28, right? So we're into this thing since March,
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: and there's nobody rushing to help them. You don't see
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: China stepping up. You're right. And China would be the
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: one who would be most likely to try to be
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: their ally. And think about this. Depending on how this
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: comes out, with Venezuela, and if this thing ends the
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: way it might end, China could lose its below-market access
- 1:56:48Speaker 4: to two major sources of oil, which is really important
- 1:56:54Speaker 4: to them in their ability to be stealing markets from
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: other countries. It's a low operating cost structure that allows
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: them to do that, getting underpriced oil from from Venezuela
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: and Iran was really critical to.
- 1:57:11Speaker 6: Their cost structure.
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: Stand by. Back with G2 and some conversation calls. Stay tuned.
- 1:57:18Speaker 6: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: This is the.
- 1:57:24Speaker 27: First day of early in-person voting, even though the election
- 1:57:28Speaker 27: is not until November 3rd. Boards of election across the
- 1:57:31Speaker 27: state of Ohio opening at 8 in the morning until
- 1:57:35Speaker 27: 5 in the afternoon weekdays.
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: Through October 23rd.
- 1:57:39Speaker 27: There will also be expanded weekday and weekend early in-person
- 1:57:43Speaker 27: voting hours in the run up to Election Day. President
- 1:57:46Speaker 27: Trump coming back to Ohio to campaign for Republican candidates.
- 1:57:50Speaker 27: He'll speak next Monday in Youngstown. The state gas tax
- 1:57:54Speaker 27: under suspension and the latest numbers from AAA. Put the
- 1:57:57Speaker 27: price of regular gas across the state of Ohio at
- 1:58:00Speaker 27: an average.
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: Of $ 3.
- 1:58:01Speaker 27: 78 a gallon, down about 10 cents from yesterday and
- 1:58:05Speaker 27: about 50 cents from last week. As for diesel, current
- 1:58:08Speaker 27: average price is $ 6. 23 a gallon, down about 46 cents
- 1:58:13Speaker 27: from last week. I'm Matt Reese.

- 1:58:25Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services, plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 1:58:29Speaker 15: one-day baths.
- 1:58:30Speaker 29: Looking like construction delays continue on I-80 East between U.S.
- 1:58:34Speaker 29: Route 62 and the PA Welcome Center across the border
- 1:58:37Speaker 29: in Mercer County. Your typical congestion on 82 between 46
- 1:58:42Speaker 29: and Route 11. Other than that, traffic all clear up
- 1:58:45Speaker 29: to speed on 422 from downtown Youngstown into Newcastle. I'm
- 1:58:49Speaker 29: Mike Ross from the Total Traffic Center.
- 1:58:51Speaker 23: This report is sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: Take the next step forward. Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. All right, from NewsRadio 570 WKBN and Ron Verb, 534.
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: Back with G2, some of your calls for G2 straight ahead.
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: So how do you assess this situation? You heard what
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: Ted the Conservative had to say about the Ukraine and
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: Russia and all of jazz that's going on five years now,
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: this war.
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: Well, so first of all, I think you're right. They've
- 1:59:24Speaker 4: shown restraint and they've paid a heavy price for it.
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: They being Russia?
- 1:59:30Speaker 4: Russia has, yes. And I would be, like, I don't
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: get this thing about poking the bear from an American perspective.
- 1:59:36Speaker 4: But from the perspective, one of the questions that I
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: heard you and Ted talking about is who did Zelensky
- 1:59:41Speaker 4: answer to? Obviously not us. Well, he answers to the
- 1:59:45Speaker 4: same people Ursula von der Leyen does and Pedro Sanchez
- 1:59:49Speaker 4: and and Macron, right? They all respond to the same people,
- 1:59:53Speaker 4: that hazy group in the background, the puppeteers that control
- 1:59:59Speaker 4: most everything. And their mission is to destroy Russia, get
- 2:00:03Speaker 4: control of those assets, be able to tax those people,
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: attack their children, and take over that land. So that's
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: the mission. That's why this war was started in 2014
- 2:00:13Speaker 4: by us.
- 2:00:13Speaker 2: That's why.
- 2:00:19Speaker 4: It was escalated with this constant drive to bring Ukraine
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: into NATO, why we refused to even at first disclose.
- 2:00:27Speaker 6: All the bio labs, knowing.
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: That that was a hotspot for the Russians, and then
- 2:00:33Speaker 4: And then we finally do disclose them, you know, and again,
- 2:00:35Speaker 4: it's one of those things where they tell us, the citizen, no,
- 2:00:38Speaker 4: it doesn't exist.
- 2:00:39Speaker 5: No, it doesn't exist.
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: Of course it exists. What are you, stupid? It's always
- 2:00:42Speaker 4: been there.
- 2:00:42Speaker 5: It's been there since 91.
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: It's so frustrating to go through this over and over,
- 2:00:48Speaker 4: but we do. So Russia comes out and says, and
- 2:00:51Speaker 4: you remember, when this war started, in our very first
- 2:00:54Speaker 4: conversation about it, I said, I am confused. And that
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: was around February, right after February 28th. And then we
- 2:01:01Speaker 4: went through the next four or five days and really
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: unraveled the whole war. And there were some things that
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: were confusing about it, like why are we doing this?
- 2:01:10Speaker 4: Why is it such a mission-critical thing that we continue
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: to poke Russia by slaughtering? We killed 14,000 people in
- 2:01:18Speaker 4: eastern Ukraine, Ukrainians, by the way. You know, we took
- 2:01:22Speaker 4: out their administration. We funded the Azov Battalion. We funded
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: these other paramilitary groups. Why would we be doing this? And,
- 2:01:32Speaker 4: of course, the answer is it really wasn't us. It
- 2:01:34Speaker 4: was the same puppeteers that controlled Biden that, you know,
- 2:01:38Speaker 4: Senator what's-his-name, Sherrod Brown, worked for. You know, all the
- 2:01:41Speaker 4: people that wanted our border thrown down, sent in all
- 2:01:44Speaker 4: the sweep through the country, industrial-scale child trafficking, that same
- 2:01:48Speaker 4: cabal of darkness. that hangs over Europe, hangs over the
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: United States. And so they desperately need to conquer Russia
- 2:01:56Speaker 4: because of the $ 70 trillion worth of raw materials in there.
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: So you keep saying, well, they didn't achieve their goals. Well,
- 2:02:06Speaker 4: the first question ought to be, what were the goals
- 2:02:08Speaker 4: of Russia? And when I call them, I'm confused. I
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: don't really understand exactly what Putin's trying to do. It's
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: because there was this weird cognitive dissonance between Russia and
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: what these lunatics... in Davos were saying. Well, that's because they,
- 2:02:23Speaker 4: you know, they weren't translating the Russian. So I went
- 2:02:26Speaker 4: and listened to what Putin was actually saying. And what
- 2:02:29Speaker 4: he was saying is these four Southeast provinces have been attacked.
- 2:02:33Speaker 4: People are being slaughtered, you know, and I need a
- 2:02:36Speaker 4: land bridge to Crimea because you people keep saying you're
- 2:02:38Speaker 4: going to make that NATO country and cut me off
- 2:02:40Speaker 4: from Crimea. And, you know, as we went through all
- 2:02:44Speaker 4: the history, Crimea was part of Russia for 400 years.
- 2:02:47Speaker 4: It was only as a department of the, or a,
- 2:02:50Speaker 4: a unit of the Soviet Union that was somehow allocated
- 2:02:52Speaker 4: to this thing called Ukraine, which was, you know, the
- 2:02:54Speaker 4: capital of Russia for many, many centuries. So we had
- 2:02:58Speaker 4: to ignore all that history to not understand this, which
- 2:03:01Speaker 4: we seemed desperate to do. So he says, well, I'm
- 2:03:06Speaker 4: going to take these four oblasts in the Donbass. That's
- 2:03:10Speaker 4: going to be my land bridge. We're going to protect
- 2:03:12Speaker 4: the Russian-speaking citizens. We're going to make Russian legal again
- 2:03:15Speaker 4: in that market or in that geography. And that's what we're.
- 2:03:18Speaker 15: Going to do.
- 2:03:18Speaker 4: And he did that relatively quickly. And then he built
- 2:03:21Speaker 4: defensive lines three deep. And, you know, they threw two
- 2:03:25Speaker 4: generations of Ukrainians against them and slaughtered them. And then
- 2:03:29Speaker 4: the Ukrainians developed more and more sophisticated. And by Ukrainians,
- 2:03:32Speaker 4: I mean NATO. NATO developed more and more sophisticated drone
- 2:03:36Speaker 4: technology and drone missions and started hitting deeper and deeper
- 2:03:39Speaker 4: into Russia, trying to provoke that attack on either Ukraine Kev,
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: that is so devastating that you get Ted to say
- 2:03:48Speaker 4: what he said, you know, well, we're going to have
- 2:03:49Speaker 4: to respond, or to get him to attack the NATO
- 2:03:53Speaker 4: base where all these strikes are managed from. And everybody
- 2:03:58Speaker 4: knows where that base is. He knows where that base is,
- 2:04:01Speaker 4: and yet he hasn't attacked it. That is restraint. Now,
- 2:04:04Speaker 4: what's the other side of restraint? If he hits that,
- 2:04:07Speaker 4: he better be prepared to go nuke, because that's exactly
- 2:04:10Speaker 4: what NATO wants. Now, NATO, don't pretend that NATO works
- 2:04:13Speaker 4: for us. It does not. It has its own agenda
- 2:04:15Speaker 4: that is, again, run by the masters of the universe
- 2:04:18Speaker 4: that hide behind shadows and control Davos, the World Economic Forum,
- 2:04:22Speaker 4: Ursula von der Leyen, you know, the people that Keir
- 2:04:25Speaker 4: Starmer worked for. Obviously not the British people, right? So
- 2:04:30Speaker 4: as these dark, shadowy forces kind of, you know, keep
- 2:04:34Speaker 4: pushing and pushing for this war to escalate and expand,
- 2:04:38Speaker 4: they then decide to start taking out energy infrastructure, which,
- 2:04:41Speaker 4: as you know, was something that was off the table
- 2:04:44Speaker 4: in the Middle East. And yet somehow it was okay
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: to do it in Russia. So the Russian jet gasoline
- 2:04:51Speaker 4: and diesel exports we were looking for that the world needed, gone.
- 2:04:56Speaker 4: And they cut those out throughout this year. as NATO
- 2:05:00Speaker 4: began to destroy more and more of the Russian infrastructure. Now,
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: that may be good for Ursula von der Leyen and
- 2:05:06Speaker 4: her bosses. That's not particularly good for the United States.
- 2:05:10Speaker 4: because now we've got the $ 6. 50 diesel, and Europe is
- 2:05:13Speaker 4: out of control. Remember, it wasn't just that. They even
- 2:05:16Speaker 4: blew up a gas pipeline that was essential to keeping
- 2:05:20Speaker 4: people in Germany warm in the winter. And you may
- 2:05:22Speaker 4: remember a few years ago when they went rogue and
- 2:05:24Speaker 4: started cutting down trees unauthorized, because they live in these
- 2:05:28Speaker 4: Marxist economies where they're not even allowed to touch a
- 2:05:30Speaker 4: tree without permission. And so the Germans lost that low-cost
- 2:05:38Speaker 4: a high-volume pipeline of natural gas that kept them warm. So,
- 2:05:42Speaker 4: you know, NATO has just continuously pushed and pushed and pushed,
- 2:05:47Speaker 4: hoping for increased escalation and expansion of this war, desperately
- 2:05:52Speaker 4: hoping that someday they can say that Putin attacked Poland.
- 2:05:56Speaker 4: And if you remember, they launched two attacks in Poland.
- 2:06:00Speaker 4: They blew up a hay wagon. And they blew up
- 2:06:02Speaker 4: a rail car. They claim the rail car was a
- 2:06:04Speaker 4: chemical weapon attack. They claim that the hay wagon was
- 2:06:08Speaker 4: a missile attack. Both nonsense. But they've been desperate to
- 2:06:13Speaker 4: try to get a reason to execute a NATO Article
- 2:06:16Speaker 4: 5 call for assistance. Now, here's the funny thing. Hundreds
- 2:06:20Speaker 4: and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of invaders crossed the
- 2:06:23Speaker 4: border into Spain. Nobody talks about NATO. Where is NATO?
- 2:06:28Speaker 4: Why is NATO not defending the UK and France? Greece
- 2:06:32Speaker 4: and Spain. Why are we allowing these countries to be overrun?
- 2:06:36Speaker 4: You see France this week absolutely in chaos, right? People,
- 2:06:41Speaker 4: you know, it's chaos. We've seen years of churches burned
- 2:06:45Speaker 4: and rape going up and all these things. No NATO,
- 2:06:49Speaker 4: no calls for NATO. The only thing we talk about
- 2:06:52Speaker 4: NATO with is attacking Russia. We are in such a
- 2:06:57Speaker 4: terrible place, and I guess if you watch Fox and
- 2:06:59Speaker 4: you listen to Jack Dean, you have this weird perspective.
- 2:07:03Speaker 4: But if you're actually thinking through this stuff, you start
- 2:07:06Speaker 4: to realize there's something terribly, terribly wrong when you can
- 2:07:10Speaker 4: invade the United States with tens of millions of people.
- 2:07:12Speaker 4: You can invade Europe with millions and millions of people.
- 2:07:16Speaker 4: You can invade, but there's no defensive response until Donald
- 2:07:20Speaker 4: Trump shows up in office and seals the borders. 400,000
- 2:07:24Speaker 4: dead Americans. We talked about it for years. No response.
- 2:07:29Speaker 4: No response. Until Donald Trump took office and sealed the border.
- 2:07:33Speaker 4: And now we're supposed to forget about that. Well, who
- 2:07:35Speaker 4: did that? Who's responsible for those 400,000 dead Americans? From fentanyl, xylosine, heroin.
- 2:07:41Speaker 4: That was the Chinese Communist Party, the cartels, and the
- 2:07:45Speaker 4: Democrat Party, and Sherrod Brown, who supported all of the
- 2:07:49Speaker 4: open borders. Nonsense. Now we look at This is kind
- 2:07:54Speaker 4: of interesting because sometimes when you think about the puppeteers,
- 2:07:56Speaker 4: you find out we're part of it. Look at what's
- 2:07:59Speaker 4: happening in South America. And we talked years ago about
- 2:08:01Speaker 4: the Sao Paulo conference and how the Marxists were marching
- 2:08:05Speaker 4: across South America. You know, the distress in Brazil as
- 2:08:08Speaker 4: they stole that election and took Bolsonaro out, eventually put
- 2:08:11Speaker 4: him in prison. And look what's happened since USAID's been gone.
- 2:08:16Speaker 5: Suddenly.
- 2:08:17Speaker 4: The Marxists are losing every market in Central and South America.
- 2:08:21Speaker 4: It turns out people don't voluntarily vote for their own imprisonment,
- 2:08:26Speaker 4: for their own enslavement. So it's fascinating to watch this
- 2:08:30Speaker 4: globe reset. Now, as you know, I wasn't a big
- 2:08:33Speaker 4: fan of this war in Iran, and I remain unhappy
- 2:08:36Speaker 4: that it got launched. I think it's caused a huge
- 2:08:38Speaker 4: amount of political challenge in the United States. We really
- 2:08:42Speaker 4: needed to be, instead of talking about that, we needed
- 2:08:44Speaker 4: to be forcing the Republicans to implement the agenda we
- 2:08:48Speaker 4: sent them to D.C. to implement, the American agenda. But,
- 2:08:51Speaker 4: you know, they launched the war. Trump and Israel launched
- 2:08:55Speaker 4: this war.
- 2:08:56Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:08:57Speaker 6: It is here.
- 2:08:58Speaker 4: Let's not ignore that there will be ancillary benefits if,
- 2:09:01Speaker 4: in fact, it comes out in the way that it
- 2:09:03Speaker 4: seems to be heading. Don't know how it's going to end,
- 2:09:07Speaker 4: but if it heads in the right way, again, China
- 2:09:10Speaker 4: loses a significant competitive advantage from having absolute control of
- 2:09:14Speaker 4: that market, that supply of oil at below market numbers.
- 2:09:18Speaker 5: I mean, I know they got to.
- 2:09:19Speaker 4: Transfer it in the ghost fleet, the straight block, all
- 2:09:21Speaker 4: that stuff. It's a hassle, but it's cheap. China needs
- 2:09:26Speaker 4: cheap to continue hollowing out Europe and the United States.
- 2:09:30Speaker 4: This is a really significant problem for them. Then you've
- 2:09:33Speaker 4: got the issue of, you know, the funding of, for example,
- 2:09:37Speaker 4: the Houthis. Now, this Houthi fight didn't start on February 28th.
- 2:09:41Speaker 4: If you may remember, I think it was in the
- 2:09:42Speaker 4: first term of Trump, we were getting criticized for fighting
- 2:09:46Speaker 4: in Yemen, supporting the Saudis in Yemen. The Saudis have
- 2:09:50Speaker 4: been fighting these Houthis for a long time. And by
- 2:09:54Speaker 4: the way, their allies are the government in Yemen. So
- 2:09:57Speaker 4: you've got this civil war in Yemen we're all supposed
- 2:09:59Speaker 4: to pretend broke out last week. This has been raging
- 2:10:01Speaker 4: for years. Well, it's time for that to end. You know,
- 2:10:08Speaker 4: that straight down at the southern part of the Red Sea,
- 2:10:12Speaker 4: that ought not be at risk from these Houthis. Now,
- 2:10:16Speaker 4: they had some significant advances In Yemen over these last,
- 2:10:20Speaker 4: I don't know, months, call it. And that's a real problem. Well,
- 2:10:24Speaker 4: I'll tell you what, Saudi's got this. Saudi's attention is
- 2:10:27Speaker 4: now complete. They are now focused entirely. You've got basically
- 2:10:31Speaker 4: between Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis and Iran, you've
- 2:10:35Speaker 4: basically got the entire Gulf Coast country collection of nations.
- 2:10:40Speaker 4: you know, at risk of real problems. And it's great
- 2:10:45Speaker 4: to hear Saudis say they will not accept Iran having
- 2:10:49Speaker 4: control of that strait, the Strait of Hormuz. The Strait
- 2:10:53Speaker 4: of Hormuz has to return to international waterways that are
- 2:10:57Speaker 4: open to every nation. They will not accept Iran being
- 2:11:01Speaker 4: the gatekeeper that decides whether or not, for example, Kuwait
- 2:11:04Speaker 4: ships oil. That's just not going to work. So there
- 2:11:07Speaker 4: are going to be some ancillary benefits that come from
- 2:11:10Speaker 4: this war, but in the meantime, we will pay more
- 2:11:13Speaker 4: for gasoline. You said, and I think this is right,
- 2:11:17Speaker 4: I think we talked about this the other day, that
- 2:11:18Speaker 4: we should be building at least two refineries in the U.S., right,
- 2:11:22Speaker 4: one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast,
- 2:11:24Speaker 4: and we should be returning the West Coast operations that
- 2:11:28Speaker 4: could still be returned back to producing diesel, jet fuel, gasoline,
- 2:11:33Speaker 4: or restarted, whatever the status is of those. You know,
- 2:11:37Speaker 4: we need new refining capacity, especially as that Venezuelan oil
- 2:11:41Speaker 4: continues to come in greater quantities. And we need to
- 2:11:46Speaker 4: be prepared to process more and more of that here
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: in the U.S. Producing 13 million barrels a day is
- 2:11:51Speaker 4: an astonishing number. There will be ancillary benefits that come
- 2:11:56Speaker 4: from these conflicts. And when you think about resetting the
- 2:12:00Speaker 4: chessboard As it goes to the CCP, remember, sealing the border,
- 2:12:05Speaker 4: cut off their fentanyl attack, right, getting them out of Panama.
- 2:12:09Speaker 4: Suddenly U.S. ships can transit the Panama Canal without paying premiums.
- 2:12:14Speaker 4: And the Chinese ports on either end of the canal,
- 2:12:18Speaker 4: not directly at the end, but, you know, on both coasts,
- 2:12:21Speaker 4: are no longer the strategic threat they were. Then you
- 2:12:24Speaker 4: get them out of Venezuela. Remember the morning that Delta
- 2:12:28Speaker 4: went in and took out Maduro, the Chinese were there.
- 2:12:31Speaker 4: And they were committing to the Venezuelans that they were
- 2:12:34Speaker 4: going to provide Chinese military navy escort for Venezuelan oil
- 2:12:39Speaker 4: shipments to go to China, to leave Venezuela. That night,
- 2:12:43Speaker 4: Maduro was taken and the entire board changed. So now
- 2:12:46Speaker 4: you push them and Iran out of Venezuela. You've disrupted
- 2:12:49Speaker 4: to some degree the cartel operations in Venezuela, and now
- 2:12:53Speaker 4: you're taking the Chinese influence and control out of Iran.
- 2:12:57Speaker 4: This is an ancillary benefit that's going to have potentially...
- 2:13:01Speaker 4: generational impact. Now, again, it's unfortunate that as the globalists
- 2:13:06Speaker 4: in China and India and Israel all struggle to control
- 2:13:09Speaker 4: the United States, and as Russia and Ukraine continue to
- 2:13:12Speaker 4: have war, we've lost two generations of Ukrainians. We've had
- 2:13:16Speaker 4: to pay a little bit more for gasoline. It's unfortunate.
- 2:13:21Speaker 4: But in the end, if Trump succeeds, this will be
- 2:13:25Speaker 4: master strokes. And whatever disagreements we had, you know, in
- 2:13:30Speaker 4: a couple of years, we will not remember because the
- 2:13:32Speaker 4: benefits will be tremendous.
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: All right. So let's take some calls. We're on Verba G2.
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 2:13:40Speaker 2: Hello?
- 2:13:41Speaker 1: Yes. Go ahead.
- 2:13:43Speaker 30: I want to say this is the best guest you've
- 2:13:46Speaker 30: had in a long time. And I had something I
- 2:13:49Speaker 30: was going to call you in for, but And this guy,
- 2:13:54Speaker 30: I am so glad you said so many wonderful, informative things.
- 2:13:58Speaker 30: I don't even want to say what I wanted to say,
- 2:14:01Speaker 30: but other than that, thank you for coming.
- 2:14:03Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on the air. Hello. Pay attention.
- 2:14:09Speaker 5: Another word that starts with the letter G.
- 2:14:12Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 2:14:15Speaker 6: Hello.
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:14:18Speaker 5: Can I help you?
- 2:14:20Speaker 1: Oh, yes, I forgot about you.
- 2:14:23Speaker 5: Yes, exactly.
- 2:14:24Speaker 18: That dementia, it sneaks up.
- 2:14:26Speaker 4: On you, Ronnie.
- 2:14:29Speaker 1: Go ahead and finish your thoughts. Well, G2 was standing by,
- 2:14:33Speaker 1: and he trumps the unknown caller. See, G2 to here.
- 2:14:39Speaker 4: I totally get it.
- 2:14:40Speaker 18: All right, so for G2, I think that the United
- 2:14:45Speaker 18: States should pull out of NATO completely, Taking the airplanes
- 2:14:50Speaker 18: out of, what was it, United Kingdom or whatever, I
- 2:14:54Speaker 18: think that's a good play, a chess play.
- 2:14:58Speaker 5: And what do you think?
- 2:15:02Speaker 4: I agree with you completely. I think it was smart
- 2:15:04Speaker 4: to pull those birds. I think we should pull out
- 2:15:06Speaker 4: of NATO, and specifically we should stop any commitment for
- 2:15:11Speaker 4: logistics support because NATO can't move its own people. And
- 2:15:16Speaker 4: what purpose does it serve? You know, it's it's just
- 2:15:19Speaker 4: causing problems and it sucks a huge amount of money
- 2:15:22Speaker 4: out of us. So let it be agreed.
- 2:15:26Speaker 10: Right.
- 2:15:27Speaker 8: Also, Ronnie, I'm glad that you didn't pick me to
- 2:15:32Speaker 8: be a reporter because I'd probably get arrested for wearing
- 2:15:36Speaker 8: a bag over my head.
- 2:15:38Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:15:38Speaker 18: Going into the Trump rally.
- 2:15:40Speaker 1: I'd like to hear more about that. But guess what?
- 2:15:45Speaker 4: I got to go, Ronnie.
- 2:15:46Speaker 1: Okay. I knew he did. He never really gives me
- 2:15:48Speaker 1: a chance. You're on air with G2. Hello. Yes.
- 2:15:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:15:56Speaker 12: I just want to say real quick, the enemy, all
- 2:16:00Speaker 12: they want is blood. Iran and they're just crazy. We
- 2:16:08Speaker 12: have people in our news and our politicians saying, They're
- 2:16:13Speaker 12: helping out the enemy by giving them comfort and support.
- 2:16:17Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:16:18Speaker 12: That scares me.
- 2:16:19Speaker 1: Thank you. Back in a minute. Stay tuned.
- 2:16:22Speaker 6: IHOP Radio.
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: Flying Missions is an Air Force pilot over Afghanistan.
- 2:16:27Speaker 6: And Talk Station 570 WKBN. All right.
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: Back to it. It's 5.56 with Ron Ferb, G2, and
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 2:16:36Speaker 13: Yeah, hi, this is Dave in Wintersville. Real quick, I
- 2:16:38Speaker 13: think instead of President Trump banning the mockingbird talking head
- 2:16:43Speaker 13: media from the press conferences, he should have forced everybody
- 2:16:46Speaker 13: else out for a couple of weeks and had a
- 2:16:48Speaker 13: broad exposure of what they're doing. And for G2 and
- 2:16:52Speaker 13: for you, Ron, please, what do you think is the
- 2:16:54Speaker 13: reason that they're not communicating their successes prior to the midterms?
- 2:17:00Speaker 2: G2?
- 2:17:03Speaker 4: You mean the reason Trump isn't communicating his successes?
- 2:17:07Speaker 5: And the press corps. The press office, I mean. The
- 2:17:12Speaker 5: press secretary.
- 2:17:15Speaker 4: I think they're so wrapped up in the war and
- 2:17:18Speaker 4: the questions they get are so one-sided. You know, if
- 2:17:21Speaker 4: you just look at some of the healthcare moves, there's
- 2:17:23Speaker 4: some great stuff that's been done. And the American people
- 2:17:27Speaker 4: have no idea. They only know about Iran. And The
- 2:17:32Speaker 4: achievements are you can't even go through them in a
- 2:17:35Speaker 4: short period of time. So I, as you know, I
- 2:17:39Speaker 4: disagree with Trump frequently. I criticize him on a regular basis.
- 2:17:43Speaker 4: But these achievements would never have happened with anyone else
- 2:17:47Speaker 4: in office. And we just can't lose sight of that.
- 2:17:50Speaker 13: And I think the midterms could be a disaster because
- 2:17:52Speaker 13: they're not communicating it.
- 2:17:55Speaker 5: Agreed. Agreed. Thank you.
- 2:17:57Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: Thank you. And thank you so much.
- 2:18:02Speaker 15: All right.
- 2:18:04Speaker 1: I guess that's a wrap. That's a wrap for today, G2.
- 2:18:08Speaker 5: All righty.
- 2:18:09Speaker 4: We'll be in touch.
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: There he is, live from the bunker on a satellite
- 2:18:12Speaker 1: phone in an unscathed location on NewsRadio 570. Trump coming
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: to town Monday at the Covelli Center. Be interesting to
- 2:18:21Speaker 1: see the turnout there on a Monday. Well, he speaks
- 2:18:24Speaker 1: at 6 o'clock, but we shall see. What goes on?
- 2:18:28Speaker 1: Stay tuned. Sean Hannity. What is it? Tuesday. Sean Hannity
- 2:18:32Speaker 1: coming up next on NewsRadio 570 WKVN. And Ron Furp
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: from the Kingdom of Mahoning. A pleasant day. A little
- 2:18:37Speaker 1: bit on the chilly side. But it is Rocktober. It's
- 2:18:40Speaker 1: 64 degrees. NewsRadio 570 WKVN. Hey, thanks for tuning in
- 2:18:45Speaker 1: and listening. Stay tuned for the news. And then Sean
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: coming up. Thanks for tuning in.
