- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is an exclusive podcast experience brought to you by nobody.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Brought to you by what's to do, okay?

- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, video anymore.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is, which is the only reason why we're actually able to do this episode the way that we are.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, we are currently in our bedroom.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: We've never recorded from the bedroom except from in season one we recorded in our bedroom.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so this is taking you, this is taking you back because season one, except in season one we never had video, but it's taking you back to season one also because season one we were still called, we weren't called what's the juicier we were
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: for those who don't know, for some people don't, some people have an idea of what Pile Talk is.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't know what Pile Talk means, that's what the podcast was called at the beginning.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't know what Pile Talk is, it's basically like the conversations that a couple would have in bed, you know, like, I feel like they're going to sleep.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I feel like there's a multiple.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: definition definition.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I didn't want to get into the definition because someone's listening and they're going to be like, no, that's not what that would be.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well, the, it's kind of self-explanatory.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's like pillow talk is like when your head is on the pillow and you talk, let's see that.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: So basically, that's kind of the state that we're in right now.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to paint the picture any more, any more clearly.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: A more clear.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so yeah, and but yeah, and we just had I had two glasses of amazing white wine.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it was called It was it I'm not a pinio.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a picky wine drinker.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, everybody expect me to be like such a Who's expecting you to be no like this people who are like Yoni how are you in your 30s and you don't know wine or you don't know alcohol like I don't be knowing
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, you just have your the strength.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: You just never really just like if I go to a bar like I don't know what the order It's like true.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you might feel more greedy to get a more greedy.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I see Mescal Margarita.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's your go to yeah I know, but if I like going to fuck it up a little bit like I don't even know what goes or what I might say some shit.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even mix
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, but you don't just make random like drinks up.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: You'll say like, I want a gin and tonic.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: I want a whiskey sour.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what I mean.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: You don't say like, oh, yeah, I can have like, can I have like whiskey with like lemon juice?
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: You don't like make random drinks.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: You usually say a name of a drink.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but a name of a drink and another name of a drink is another drink that you like a mix that you like.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, but you know, just the name of the drink and then you don't say like a mix, you know, say like the ingredients, I'm not so bad.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, but you.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, we had dinner earlier.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we decided, you know, we deserve a nice little date night because we've been going out of not going out of our minds, but we just been we've been grinding you guys.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: to put it lightly.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: We've been just working.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: We've been in the studio and we're about to leave for a trip in two days or various of the Dana have.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know at this point.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just been a lot.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: But we're we're we're back at it.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm not I'm back at it.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're just still in yeah, we're still in like we never left right we still in it.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not over yet.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: We have we still have a few days to go and we just felt like we deserved an evening evening off together because let's let's be honest in this marriage like we've
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: we've uh it's hard because we we are together so much and we work obviously on the podcast together but also we're always like consulting each other on different things when it comes to our individual work and we're just we've gone to this place where we talk about work quite often.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: Not only is it the wrong with that but I feel like in general that that gives us the illusion
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: But we do.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Which we do, but we never, we, we, we not never, but we just don't do enough like one on one time outside of work time, which we have to do more.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Which we did tonight and it was great and I want to tell you guys a story about something that happens tonight and I am although I'm very grateful.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was also very disappointed the combination of being very grateful but extremely disappointed.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: So think about what could that be?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so to give some context.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Can I give the counter?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, give the counter.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, sometimes I'm scared you're going to get right to the thing without building it up.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right, go ahead.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, you go ahead.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, we went out to say, as your team, that's our favorite restaurant, or I'll use Alias, favorite restaurant in New York, and we had dinner, it was beautiful, delicious food.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Great temperature.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: We set outside, it was great, um,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: people watched.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's what you do, you know, like because when you sit inside, it's so loud that sometimes you don't even, you can even hear your own conversations.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: So you end up just like, you have a bit of a restaurant where you just like yell the whole time and then when you leave your head kind of hurt.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like I'm trying to eat and have a conversation.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to be at the club right now.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: So we're done eating.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's happy to the cute little
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Can we get the, um, the, the, the, what do you call that dessert?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, go ahead.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: He offered the dessert menu.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, oh, I thought you asked for the dessert menu.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then I said, I would like to see the dessert menu.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: When they continue, please.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: On that because because you said, I asked for it, which I didn't.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, and then he, um, he brought the dessert menu and we were looking at it.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: And nothing really sounded good.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: I was really looking for, I was in the mood for either something like kiki, like a little, I don't know, sponge cake, tar, I don't know, something, something with some flower in it.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I either wanted that or some ice cream.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Yoni was like, what were you at the mood for?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I didn't even look at the menu really, because I knew exactly what I wanted for dessert.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: Which was?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to go to Magnolia Bakery.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's about maybe like 450 feet away from where we were.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so it's like a minnow walk, maybe two.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it wasn't that close, but okay.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, it was kind of close.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, because I remember I pulled it up on the thing to see if they were still open.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: And there's surprisingly, we're open until 10 and it was like eight, 30 at a time, right?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: So it's eight, 30, we're done eating, looking at the menu, at the dessert menu.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: I guess Ali was looking at it and even look because I was like, I don't know what I want none of this.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure it's great.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: And nothing really even jumped out of me.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so then we're like, when up he comes back, we're just going to say no, we're good and we're going to go on a mission because I know exactly what I want and I haven't had it in a long time.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you wanted the, did you even say what you were going to say?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wanted to guess what I'm a good lawyer bakery.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: They have, in my opinion, the best banana pudding in the world.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how many other places have you been to?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but I can't imagine something can be better than that.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: OK.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm ready.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: And my mind is set on one thing and one thing only.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: So he comes back.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, so what are you guys wanting?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: And he's very nice.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, shot at the him to carry on for us tonight.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, you know, we told him we don't want dessert.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: We're just going to pass.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: So now he's supposed to go get the check, right?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: So he goes and instead of bringing the check back, he comes back with two spoons.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, you know, all guys deserved on house tonight.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very grateful, but in my head, I'm like, no.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: He had no idea we had a whole game plan.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't know.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: So at that moment, when he came back with the two spoons, right?
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: That already means that he put in the order for the dessert.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which we don't know what the dessert is going to do.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know what he was.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even want it.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not like it was just the deserve.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: Something about it was just a lot of like experimentation things, which I got all cool and I'm all down for.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: But sometimes the girl just wants like cake or ice cream or something simple.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to ask him about a cake, right?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, I was just wondering.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, I asked, on the dessert menu, I just asked what was the first thing because I didn't know what that meant.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like I didn't know what it was.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then he told me it was like something like hot cheese.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a cheese dessert thing.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: And because I didn't know.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: If he said like, oh, yeah, it's like a sponge cake or something.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I would mean like, oh, fuck yeah, I'm getting that.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: But it was in the case.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: It was a hot cheese.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: So then I was like, oh, okay, I think we're actually good.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then I feel like maybe he felt some type of way.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: about the cheese?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, about the fact that we didn't like anything that was on the menu.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what you think about?
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was like, I'll almost show them like some good shit on the menu.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: But... Maybe, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: It could be.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: It could be.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, if you listen to this, listen, we love and appreciate you so much.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're just doubling a lot, listening to this.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, you never know, but I'm just saying, like, I don't, but we just had a gameplay.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: And this is my, this is my favorite restaurant in New York.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's my most repeated, most frequented restaurant ever since we moved here.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm gonna keep going back, I love it.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a dessert menu at that time.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: It just didn't hit what I needed tonight, you know?
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was really looking to like indulge in something classic.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, so we ended up getting this surprise dessert.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, we get the dessert.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, it's just, it's just random, you know, a little bit.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't want to talk shit about it.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't want to talk shit about it because it's like, it was, it was such a nice gesture.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: You, it gesture, it was, it was, it was, um, I'm sorry, continue.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still potting it.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: You talk as if like,
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to cut it out.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: We live in this shit.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't want to talk shit about it because it was that he was so nice to offer free dessert.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just like, we have to eat it.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I know after this.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what's funny is that the beginning journey was kind of playing around with it, right?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Because he was still thinking about the banana pudding.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was still thinking about the banana pudding.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, babe, I can't eat this whole dessert by myself.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: And it was quite sweet.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, for both of us, we both were like, okay, this is like a, like, very sweet, just for, like, our palate.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: So we had to like, drink a lot of stuff.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so anyway, hey, even after you have ice cream we drink water after because it's so sweet So we're saying they're eating the dessert and I am
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm very grateful, but I'm also not that happy in the moment because all I want it.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when you want something, you just, that's the only thing you're having mind.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: And which is the whole reason why we told him, no, we are okay.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like maybe when he came back with the spoons, we should have just told him like, we gotta go somewhere.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Nah, that would be like, oh, we're gonna be a dessert somewhere else.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: This was like, I got to go, like my life continues.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have time for dessert.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I didn't want them to make it to feel like any type of way about me.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know if it could've, I don't know.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I would've been over thinking thinking like, well, we were, I did ask for the dessert menu, which clearly means like I had time to have dessert.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh my gosh.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah anyway, so he brought out to us.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: I was very, you know, thankful for that, but he just and also to like the worst part of it all Like you said it was it was it was it was quite sweet and also it's just like you couldn't have dessert after that And I couldn't have dessert after that so basically this is an inclusion.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever had dessert that you it's but it's like dessert that you don't want
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, nobody has that because nobody eats that.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, when someone gives you something for free, especially at a nice restaurant like that, and it was on the house, and he took such good care of us.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: You can't like, not eat it.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, we ate the whole thing.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: Because, but I didn't want to.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go get my banana pudding.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's just crazy, because it's such a weird position
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Do you just like say no we're okay after he gets it because we did time that we were good.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do that.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: The so weird I feel like I've got someone's listening would have probably done something else.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you know you want to get something else because after that dessert it's like we like I had no space we were less like we didn't have the sweet tooth anymore.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: No no no and that shit was sweet sweet.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah like I need a water and salt.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, so that was that's so that's what happened tonight.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Literally like an hour ago.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, like two hours ago.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, two hours ago And you know, you know, I like to be exact.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and we were just, you know He came back and he was like so how was it?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty good right now.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: I was just I mean, what do you say right?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're saying yeah, it was great.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was listen
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: the dessert was in bad.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was just kind of like an experimental type of dessert if that makes sense.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a typical dessert.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I think both Yoni and I were just looking for like that classic something simple.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he wanted his banana pudding.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to get my little like gelato.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking about like a like a dark chocolate gelato or like something like that.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I could visualize that better putting.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even that sweet.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's soft.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's I love banana.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like so light That but putting is almost like air.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like air.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's nice because it's not too heavy And it's not too sweet, but it's just sweet enough.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you go to if you ever come to New York You have to go to a McDonald bakery and then just ask for the banana pudding to have like different sizes And now we didn't knew like in my head.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to get a little small Cup and it would have been perfect.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even want a while
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: I just want a little bit of, I would have finished it like right there.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you guys definitely need to go to Magnolia if you're ever in town, but get, get the banana pudding, don't get any of those stuff, I don't think.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: And don't get like banana pudding that has like strawberry flavor on none of that.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just get the classic.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: You just get the classic one and you will think me later.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because maybe having some weird flavors like for the fall, they'll have like a pumpkin spice one, that's not it, it's not the bottom.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Pumpkin spice, banana pudding?
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: or like a grapple crisp or like something.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like any apple desserts and they don't really like apple and honey.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't like apple desserts.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what happened.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: We ate a dessert and then I'm just okay, cool.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no banana pudding.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of crazy because it's like it kind of took a turn.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's so crazy because the entire rest of the meal was so good, you guys.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in New York, you should also go to change our team regardless.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they'll change the desserts at that point.

- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just kind of scared that he's gonna hear this one day and then we'll never be going back.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be like, I heard that the salad.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Nah, there's no way.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, no way, right?
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: No!
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's no way.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but let's say if he did hear it.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we'll deal with the den and we'll talk about on the podcast, shoot.
