Speaker 3: the breakless Seattle Kraken return home Saturday to kick off
0:27
Speaker 3: a six.

Speaker 3: A near hat trick for the captain and a three
0:33
Speaker 3: point night for Chander Stevenson help Seattle to a five

Speaker 3: to one win in the latest edition of the I Fivalry.
0:40
Speaker 3: Tonight with a spot in the top three in the
0:43
Speaker 3: Pacific in their sites, Seattle welcomes in the Carolina Hurricanes,
0:47
Speaker 3: who are currently riding a twelve game point streak with
0:50
Speaker 3: wins in five in a row as they sit atop
0:53
Speaker 3: the Eastern Conference standings. Good evening, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome
0:57
Speaker 3: inside of Climate Plagerina alongside Big al Kinna Skate, I
1:00
Speaker 3: am Evert Fitziu. You are listening to the pregame show
1:03
Speaker 3: served up by Frostcrew, Corse Light, Chews Chill, the Global
1:06
Speaker 3: Credit Union, Kraken Audio Network out. The Kraken needed a
1:10
Speaker 3: win after back to back losses in Dallas and in
1:13
Speaker 3: Saint Louis.
1:14
Speaker 1: They get it five to one against the Canuts.
1:17
Speaker 3: On Saturday, and it could have been easy to win
1:19
Speaker 3: that game, but the Kraken won that game with some
1:22
Speaker 3: style points and it was a big way to continue
1:25
Speaker 3: climbing that ladder in the Conference.
1:27
Speaker 4: Well, those first two games under the conference fits, you know,
1:29
Speaker 4: they didn't play their best hockey. They lost them both,
1:32
Speaker 4: but they're different losing games where you're in the game,
1:35
Speaker 4: and they really weren't in those games.
1:36
Speaker 5: So they needed a big bounce back game Saturday. They
1:38
Speaker 5: got that.
1:39
Speaker 4: It was a great first period, scoring two goals to
1:42
Speaker 4: get the lead. It was the standard that they want
1:44
Speaker 4: to play to every night.
1:45
Speaker 3: Just a sixth time this season the Kraken have scored
1:48
Speaker 3: five or more goals in a game.
1:50
Speaker 5: Second few was in the.
1:51
Speaker 3: NHL Tonight's game sixty for Seattle. They've scored four or
1:55
Speaker 3: more nineteen times. They're seventeen to one and one in
1:58
Speaker 3: those games. But against the team like Carolina here tonight,
2:01
Speaker 3: I don't know.
2:02
Speaker 1: If four or five are on the on.
2:04
Speaker 3: The docket for this evening, but being able to have
2:06
Speaker 3: just done that two nights ago, has to do well
2:09
Speaker 3: to motivate that offense here tonight.
2:11
Speaker 4: Absolutely, the last three games at home, this Cracking team
2:14
Speaker 4: has put up five or more and you know they
2:16
Speaker 4: need that confidence coming into this game against Carolina, because
2:18
Speaker 4: Carolina slogs.
2:20
Speaker 5: The middle of the ice, they make it hard to
2:21
Speaker 5: get into the offensive end, and they outshoot you.
2:24
Speaker 4: At the at the defensive end of the ice for
2:26
Speaker 4: the Crackings, so they're gonna have their.
2:27
Speaker 5: Hands full on their own en.
2:28
Speaker 4: They're gonna be difficult time getting to the Carolina.
2:30
Speaker 3: Cracking four oh to oh in their last four at home,
2:33
Speaker 3: eight two and two their last twelve under our roof.
2:37
Speaker 3: On the other side of the red line, this Carolina
2:39
Speaker 3: Hurricanes team riding a twelve game points streak ten to
2:43
Speaker 3: oh and two.
2:44
Speaker 1: They are fourteen one and three in their last seventeen games.
2:47
Speaker 3: And we talked about the offense for Seattle, Well for Carolina,
2:51
Speaker 3: they've scored four or more seven times and they've allowed
2:54
Speaker 3: three or few or eight of those last twelve.
2:56
Speaker 4: Well, they've got a great scoring differential. The only league's
2:59
Speaker 4: third best scoring differential at plus nineteen. But here's the thing.
3:02
Speaker 4: At home, they are the best in the league at
3:05
Speaker 4: goals four at one hundred and twenty seven. That's about
3:08
Speaker 4: three point eight four game, almost four goals a game.
3:10
Speaker 4: But on the road they've only scored seventy six and
3:13
Speaker 4: twenty six games two ninety two, so they're almost scoring
3:15
Speaker 4: a goal less on the road this season. We're gonna
3:19
Speaker 4: have to take advantage of that with their style and
3:20
Speaker 4: structure of defensive zone and actually try and keep it
3:23
Speaker 4: closer to two.
3:24
Speaker 1: A when tonight for Seattle, they are back in.
3:27
Speaker 3: Sole possession of third place in the Pacific Division. For now,

Speaker 11: you're with us, Mike Betton again with you. Back to
6:51
Speaker 11: the course. Light landing in section twenty here for game
6:54
Speaker 11: two of this six game homestand the Kraken coming in
6:56
Speaker 11: right now twenty eight, twenty two and nine point total.
7:00
Speaker 11: Lads sixty five and still in the final wild card
7:03
Speaker 11: spot in the Western Conference, they face a Hurricanes team
7:06
Speaker 11: that is on a roll thirty eight fifteen and six
7:10
Speaker 11: point total at eighty two and owning top record right
7:14
Speaker 11: now in the Eastern Conference. In this will be the
7:16
Speaker 11: second and final matchup of the season with a Kraken
7:19
Speaker 11: aiming for a one and one split. Well, we talked
7:22
Speaker 11: about previous game, the Kraken facing a big one as
7:26
Speaker 11: far as just the circumstances, Well, as far as this
7:28
Speaker 11: game is concerned, it is big because of the opponent
7:31
Speaker 11: and when you factor in they're playing meaningful games in March.
7:34
Speaker 11: It's the least that they could have asked for here
7:37
Speaker 11: in this second and final matchup, where they're facing a
7:39
Speaker 11: Carolina team that comes in at ten to zero to
7:42
Speaker 11: two in the last twelve games. These two teams are
7:45
Speaker 11: going to hear about it. They play very similar styles,
7:48
Speaker 11: but Carolina has won six to nine matchups the Kraken
7:50
Speaker 11: trying to solve that equation. Plus is the fact that
7:53
Speaker 11: they've also been pretty close here recently. Five of the
7:56
Speaker 11: nine matchups, by the way, have gone down to just
7:59
Speaker 11: one goal. The Kraken, though, at home under our roof,
8:03
Speaker 11: rolling pretty well right now. They have won four in
8:05
Speaker 11: a row. They are fifteen to nine and five and
8:08
Speaker 11: five wins, shy of tying the franchise record most home
8:12
Speaker 11: wins in one season. That's twenty set back of course,
8:15
Speaker 11: in twenty twenty two to twenty three, when they made
8:17
Speaker 11: the Stanley Cup playoffs, so win this evening here would
8:20
Speaker 11: also set a new franchise mark for longest consecutive wins
8:25
Speaker 11: streak at home, and the Kraken last four games out
8:28
Speaker 11: scoring the opposition at nineteen to six. The standings say
8:32
Speaker 11: this one's also a big one. The krack And have
8:34
Speaker 11: twenty three games to play in. Projections around the league
8:37
Speaker 11: say it'll take about ninety points here to make the
8:39
Speaker 11: playoffs in the Western Conference, so the crack In need
8:43
Speaker 11: a mark of five forty three for a points percentage
8:46
Speaker 11: here to hit that ninety point campaign. So for the
8:49
Speaker 11: next twelve games, pretty favorable is they face eight teams
8:53
Speaker 11: out of the playoff picture, and the only exceptions there
8:56
Speaker 11: this evening in Carolina, one against Colorado and two against
9:00
Speaker 11: Tampa Bay, where the crack And right now are nursing
9:02
Speaker 11: a three point lead over San Jose, Nashville and Los Angeles.
9:07
Speaker 11: By the way, the Kings play tonight. The rest here
9:09
Speaker 11: are off with the Kraken aiming to jump back into
9:13
Speaker 11: third place in the Pacific Division, sitting just one point
9:16
Speaker 11: back of the Edmonton Oilers. Well, flashing back to two
9:19
Speaker 11: nights ago, the krack And needing jump out of the
9:21
Speaker 11: gates and they got it. For some first line presence.
9:25
Speaker 3: Here's Elias Petterson point shot block by Everley, the captain
9:29
Speaker 3: sprung free.
9:30
Speaker 1: What a regular down the slot.
9:40
Speaker 3: The chaptain blocks the shot, the chair out springs on
9:45
Speaker 3: a rekaway four hands backhand two.
9:48
Speaker 5: The lead, three one seattle Oh.
9:50
Speaker 4: Jordan Nibberley attacking the shot up with a point that
9:53
Speaker 4: the at the cracking into the ice, gets a nice
9:56
Speaker 4: block off his shins path sets himself on a breakawaycos
9:59
Speaker 4: fourhead back, then every in off the ivory three one.
10:04
Speaker 11: Cracking kracking got the first big win in the homestand opener,
10:08
Speaker 11: in which what they were looking for as they never
10:11
Speaker 11: trailed all night long went wired to wire and then
10:13
Speaker 11: pulled away, leading to one on that goal scored by
10:16
Speaker 11: Jordan Emberley, all part of a three point night. By
10:18
Speaker 11: the way, Chandler Stevenson had three points as well, but
10:21
Speaker 11: Everly nearly had a hat trick. Matter of fact, scored
10:24
Speaker 11: an empty net goal hats right out of the ice,
10:26
Speaker 11: and then it was announced his second goal of the
10:29
Speaker 11: game was changed to Maddie Beniers, so not a bad
10:32
Speaker 11: consolation though with a three point evening as a kracket
10:35
Speaker 11: went one and two in the power play, but most
10:37
Speaker 11: importantly got the response they wanted after essentially two straight
10:41
Speaker 11: clunkers out of the Olympic break when they were outscored
10:44
Speaker 11: nine to two at Dallas and Saint Louis. Here's more
10:48
Speaker 11: with Matty Veniers, who said why these games are big
10:51
Speaker 11: and how the Kraken can take two nights ago into
10:54
Speaker 11: this evening.
10:55
Speaker 12: We're so tight in the division that it's, you know,
10:57
Speaker 12: one game you win, you move up one who.
11:00
Speaker 5: You're out of the playoffs.
11:00
Speaker 12: So you're not much changing with our game. I don't
11:04
Speaker 12: think you know. I liked our game last night. We
11:06
Speaker 12: have a pretty clear picture of how we want to
11:09
Speaker 12: play and when we have success when we play that way.
11:11
Speaker 12: So you know, obviously defense focus with you know, good transition,
11:16
Speaker 12: good speed. Were gonna lost speed on our team.
11:17
Speaker 2: We gotta use that.
11:19
Speaker 11: There you have it, not much breathing room the cracking
11:21
Speaker 11: right now, sitting in the second wild card spot, just
11:24
Speaker 11: five points back at first place Vegas and their division,
11:26
Speaker 11: yet are only three points ahead from being out of
11:29
Speaker 11: the playoff picture. That's essentially how tight things are, leading
11:32
Speaker 11: us into our cracking storylines, and the first one being
11:35
Speaker 11: a good start. The Kracking are twenty six and four wins,
11:38
Speaker 11: scoring first eight, sixteen and six when they do not Carolina,
11:43
Speaker 11: who they face, twenty six, five and two when they
11:46
Speaker 11: score first, twelve, ten and four when they do not.
11:50
Speaker 11: So for the home side it means energy, but also
11:52
Speaker 11: the Kracking playing into a trend here fifteen straight games
11:56
Speaker 11: with a point at home when they score first. They
11:58
Speaker 11: would love to keep that trend going here this evening. Secondly,
12:01
Speaker 11: Joey to court. He'll start in that five and one,
12:04
Speaker 11: his record last six games and owning a nine to
12:06
Speaker 11: one to four say percentage against Carolina in his career.
12:10
Speaker 11: And finally, the Matty been Heers effect. He has five
12:12
Speaker 11: goals away from twenty for the third time in his
12:15
Speaker 11: career and against Carolina he has been on a heater.
12:17
Speaker 11: He's got points in four of the last five matchups,
12:20
Speaker 11: plus accounting for that highlight reel goal he's scored against
12:23
Speaker 11: Jacob Slaven last matchup in Carolina. The Crack and again
12:27
Speaker 11: would love him and his line to be at their
12:29
Speaker 11: best here for this evening. Let's him more on the
12:32
Speaker 11: Crack inside and Vaniera said the Crack in this past
12:34
Speaker 11: weekend got more clarity of what they need more of, maybe.
12:38
Speaker 12: Just a little bit more energy. I think him coming
12:40
Speaker 12: to the rank, coming to the rink in the morning,
12:43
Speaker 12: and then obviously at the game, I think we had good,
12:45
Speaker 12: good bench energy, good locker energy, and you know, we
12:49
Speaker 12: didn't didn't get phased by much, just went out there
12:51
Speaker 12: and knew what game we needed.
12:53
Speaker 5: To play and went out and executed it.
12:54
Speaker 12: I think, you know, the games before, maybe we just
12:56
Speaker 12: weren't weren't mentally ready coming out of the break, But
13:01
Speaker 12: there can be a lot of things, very good practices
13:02
Speaker 12: coming out of breaks. So you know it's gonna put
13:06
Speaker 12: those games behind us and just just use the one
13:08
Speaker 12: that we we did well on and use that as motivation.
13:11
Speaker 11: Depending on the opponent, different defensive concepts apply, from checking
13:15
Speaker 11: with the legs to checking with your smarts, and Beneer said,
13:18
Speaker 11: we both applied this evening.
13:20
Speaker 12: You obviously want to be on top of them. I
13:22
Speaker 12: think we play a somewhat similar style as to these guys,
13:26
Speaker 12: Like we're very fast in your face and they are
13:29
Speaker 12: the same way. They're you know, to the max of that,
13:32
Speaker 12: So you know it's gonna be a back and forth game.
13:36
Speaker 12: You obviously got to check with your feet. But you
13:39
Speaker 12: know you gotta be smarter at times and not just
13:40
Speaker 12: run out of position, and you know, just skating hard
13:43
Speaker 12: to skate hard right.
13:45
Speaker 11: One injury update note here Ryan Lynn Grinnie is day
13:48
Speaker 11: to day undisclosed injury, but yet was seen a morning
13:51
Speaker 11: skate Red Jersey as well, adding here to goaltender Matt
13:53
Speaker 11: Murray who was on IR with a lower body ailment.

16:46
Speaker 11: the cors light landing in section twenty and time now
16:48
Speaker 11: for a look at the Hurricanes, who are coming in
16:51
Speaker 11: like a buzzsod top record in the Eastern Conference. They
16:55
Speaker 11: have speed, they have pace, they have depth, they can
16:58
Speaker 11: play with defense as well, and they have goaltending. But
17:01
Speaker 11: is there enough energy that coach Rob Brendamoor said with
17:04
Speaker 11: four games ahead here on the road, there's plenty of
17:07
Speaker 11: caution on his side.
17:09
Speaker 18: Well, this is you know, it's so called trap games
17:11
Speaker 18: where we come off playing pretty well, long travel day yesterday,
17:15
Speaker 18: where everbody's dragging you can just see it out there
17:18
Speaker 18: this morning. So it's we can't afford to, you know,
17:21
Speaker 18: have to get woken up and be down and goal too,
17:23
Speaker 18: like that's not what you want to do obviously, So
17:26
Speaker 18: it's trying to get wrap the feed again and understand,
17:28
Speaker 18: you know, you're playing a team that's right there in
17:31
Speaker 18: the desperation that they're gonna bring. We have to always
17:34
Speaker 18: worry about our own game, but we do. We have
17:36
Speaker 18: to be mindful of the other team and where they're at.
17:38
Speaker 11: So something to keep an eye on here as Carolina
17:41
Speaker 11: opens their road trip. But yet, you want to know
17:43
Speaker 11: what it feels like here to face the Hurricanes for
17:45
Speaker 11: sixty minutes. Go outside and run at top speed for
17:49
Speaker 11: about an hour, then come back in and tell us
17:51
Speaker 11: how you feel. They can skate all night long, and
17:53
Speaker 11: it feels like a sixty minute cardio workout, because well,
17:56
Speaker 11: they they're game based on puck possession and shots from
17:59
Speaker 11: heavy everywhere. Shot quality of five on five there's second
18:02
Speaker 11: in the NHL, shots on net, second in the NHL.
18:06
Speaker 11: Shot at tames five on five, they lead the NHL
18:09
Speaker 11: shots allowed by the way second lois here in the NHL.
18:13
Speaker 11: So bashan Ajo leads them fifty nine point t center
18:16
Speaker 11: is a threatening top line with Andre Sechnikov and Seth Jarvis,
18:20
Speaker 11: and Jarvis himself leads Carolina twenty six goals. All that
18:23
Speaker 11: as well, shortened for his season by injuries, so yet
18:26
Speaker 11: he's back in Pacific Northwest Grounds formerly of the Portland Winterhawks,
18:30
Speaker 11: and their depth. They have ten players right now in
18:32
Speaker 11: double digits with goals scoring. Hurricane story lines first up
18:36
Speaker 11: again with their power play, and the question bears which
18:39
Speaker 11: one shows up? Overall their thirteenth right now in the NHL,
18:42
Speaker 11: but on the road just twenty seventh. Recently, they have
18:45
Speaker 11: converted here in four of the last five games, plus
18:48
Speaker 11: also owning six goals here in the last seven. So
18:52
Speaker 11: as far as recent trends are concerned, the Crack and
18:54
Speaker 11: would love to play the stay out of the box game.
18:57
Speaker 11: And secondly in net Frederick Anderson in Carolina, thirty six
19:01
Speaker 11: years of age, and it'll be's first time starting two
19:05
Speaker 11: straight games since November twenty six against the Rangers because
19:09
Speaker 11: Brandon Bussy, their recent acquisition, getting a heavy workload recently.
19:12
Speaker 11: But Anderson very good last time out, twenty seven saves
19:15
Speaker 11: on twenty nine shots in a win against the Red Wings.
19:18
Speaker 11: He is three and one in four career games against
19:21
Speaker 11: the Kraken. After this, backupstairs we go, ever written now

21:33
Speaker 3: We're back inside of Climate Flage Arena evert fits you
21:36
Speaker 3: Alconiski alongside game two of a six game homestand getting
21:39
Speaker 3: set Seattle wrapping up their season series with the Carolina
21:43
Speaker 3: Hurricanes trying to get back to third place here in
21:46
Speaker 3: the Pacific Division. It is a tall order here tonight
21:49
Speaker 3: for these Hurricanes who've got points in twelve straight and
21:52
Speaker 3: in their last seventeen games, or fourteen to one and three.
21:56
Speaker 1: How can they overcome this year tonight?
21:58
Speaker 4: Well, first of all, it's gonna be a tough one.
22:00
Speaker 4: You gotta outshoot Carolina. Let's not over complicate this this
22:03
Speaker 4: The boys need to treat the puck like it's got
22:05
Speaker 4: an expiration date.
22:07
Speaker 5: Use it or lose it.
22:08
Speaker 4: Carolina Hurricanes don't exactly hate shot volume, so let's just
22:11
Speaker 4: test their goalie early often and from every zip code
22:14
Speaker 4: inside climb plageria. Quantity leads to chaos, and chaos leads
22:19
Speaker 4: to rebounds, and rebounds lead to red lights. If you're
22:21
Speaker 4: passing up grade a looks for Q plays, you're doing
22:24
Speaker 4: it wrong. Grip it and rip it. Secondly, break through
22:27
Speaker 4: the neutral zone. Carolina loves to clog up the neutral
22:31
Speaker 4: zone and like it's Pipe Place Market on a sunny
22:33
Speaker 4: Sunday afternoon, if you're standing still, you're done. It's quick ups,
22:38
Speaker 4: support underneaed and speed through the neutral zone. Chip it
22:42
Speaker 4: past them, skate through them, and make them pivot and chase.
22:45
Speaker 4: Just don't feed the turnover monster at the blue line.
22:47
Speaker 4: Make their structure look like it forgot it's homework. Pace kills,
22:51
Speaker 4: and then third, first to pucks. This one's about will
22:55
Speaker 4: want to in a little bit of nasty. First to
22:58
Speaker 4: loose pucks first on ford check, first to make contact.
23:01
Speaker 4: That's how you tilt the ice. If you're arriving second,
23:04
Speaker 4: you're already defending. Beat them to the dots, beat them
23:07
Speaker 4: to the corners, and beat them to the paint. When
23:10
Speaker 4: you dictate possession, you dictate the knight. So in some
23:13
Speaker 4: outshoot them, outskate them, outwork them.
23:16
Speaker 5: It's not rocket science, it's hockey.
23:18
Speaker 4: Pepperlinnet punched through the new neutral zone traffic jam and
23:22
Speaker 4: make Carolina feel like they're playing uphill all night. Be first,
23:25
Speaker 4: be fast, be relentless, stream wins together. Isn't about hope,
23:29
Speaker 4: it's about habits. Now go make it loud and make
23:31
Speaker 4: it count.
23:32
Speaker 3: I think your last key for me that that's the
23:34
Speaker 3: one that I want to zero in on for this game.
23:36
Speaker 3: First to bucks, Yeah, first of pox, because this Carolina
23:38
Speaker 3: Hurricanes team thirty six times this season.
23:40
Speaker 1: They've got I'm sorry sixteen times.
23:42
Speaker 5: This season.
23:43
Speaker 3: They have thirty six or more shots on goals, second
23:46
Speaker 3: most in the NHL. Five in their last eight they've
23:49
Speaker 3: got thirty three or more shots on goal and when
23:52
Speaker 3: they score thirty six on on goal. Thirteen one and
23:54
Speaker 3: two are Carolina this season. And we talked this morning
23:58
Speaker 3: to Lane Lambert. He said that while the team isn't
24:00
Speaker 3: very physical, they're not going to hit you a whole lot. Well,
24:03
Speaker 3: you can't hit when you have the puck. So if
24:05
Speaker 3: you're Seattle, you need to make them work.
24:07
Speaker 4: Well, that's just it too, is you know we talk
24:09
Speaker 4: about that clogging the Neutrals on the clog is because
24:11
Speaker 4: they attack hard, they attack loose pucks hard, they close
24:14
Speaker 4: gaps hard, and you're right, the shots on goal are
24:17
Speaker 4: are legit.
24:17
Speaker 5: They had a high water mark of.
24:19
Speaker 4: Forty three against the Rangers earlier this season, but they
24:22
Speaker 4: had two low water marks of just nineteen shots on
24:25
Speaker 4: goal against Ottawa.
24:26
Speaker 5: They won both those games.
24:28
Speaker 4: So just keeping them the shots against against isn't just
24:31
Speaker 4: the solution. You've got to keep it low, but it's
24:33
Speaker 4: the high danger chances. Take away those opportunities from the
24:36
Speaker 4: house because I'll give them nineteen I'll give them thirty
24:38
Speaker 4: shots from the perimeter all night.
24:40
Speaker 5: You got to take away those high danger chances.
24:42
Speaker 1: Chandler steven sins stamped in eleven game goals round.
24:44
Speaker 3: He's got points and six of his last nine one
24:47
Speaker 3: goal and nine assists in that time. Maddy Mniers has
24:50
Speaker 3: got eight points his last eleven games. How big are
24:54
Speaker 3: the Stevensons, the ever Lees, the mccans who hasn't had
24:57
Speaker 3: a goal now his last five games, which for is
25:00
Speaker 3: quite a lot this season. How big are they going
25:03
Speaker 3: to have to be tonight? Well, for a game that
25:06
Speaker 3: you know is going to be difficult to get shots.
25:08
Speaker 3: The shooters on this team, mckenn, Stevenson, everyth league, they're
25:11
Speaker 3: gonna have to work hard to get those shots and
25:14
Speaker 3: take advantage of them when they do. And you know,
25:16
Speaker 3: looking at the stats, we talked a little bit off
25:17
Speaker 3: air shooting percentage, it's Jared mccannon, it's Chandler Stevenson. Yeah,
25:22
Speaker 3: for second and shooting percentage.
25:23
Speaker 4: So you've got to find ways to get them the puck,
25:26
Speaker 4: give them that half a second to get a shot off,
25:29
Speaker 4: and give them those opportunities two or three times they'll
25:31
Speaker 4: find the back of the night.
25:31
Speaker 3: So what I'm hearing is your best players have to
25:33
Speaker 3: be your best player.
25:34
Speaker 5: Big Name's gonna have big games. Partner. You know who's
25:36

Speaker 11: for more on this one downstairs we go where Rifitz
28:11
Speaker 11: You's got cracking ed coach Land Lambert.
28:13
Speaker 3: Thanks Mike Laane cracking back in the win column of
28:15
Speaker 3: five one win over Vancouver. In those sixty minutes that
28:20
Speaker 3: you saw, what were the biggest differences between your play
28:23
Speaker 3: then and then you're playing the first two games out
28:25
Speaker 3: of the break in your mind.
28:26
Speaker 23: I thought we were a lot better through the neutral zone,
28:29
Speaker 23: way better pressure angles didn't give them. You know, there
28:34
Speaker 23: were times when they came through the neutral zone with
28:35
Speaker 23: some speed, but I thought we did a better job there.
28:37
Speaker 23: And I just think defensively in the D zone closing
28:40
Speaker 23: and you know, getting out of our zone quicker. We
28:44
Speaker 23: talked about spending too much time in our zone in
28:46
Speaker 23: the previous two games, which allowed us to play more offensively.
28:51
Speaker 23: I thought our offensive game was pretty good against some
28:54
Speaker 23: owned pucks.
28:54
Speaker 3: And made some plays in a game like that. You know,
28:57
Speaker 3: given the previous results, how important for you is it
28:59
Speaker 3: that that was a statement five to one. When your
29:03
Speaker 3: best players were your best players, you had a couple
29:05
Speaker 3: of multi point Night's Joey decord, you know, that confidence
29:08
Speaker 3: from him almost scoring his first goal of his career.
29:12
Speaker 3: How big was that for you to see the Kraken
29:14
Speaker 3: win in that way?
29:17
Speaker 23: Yeah, I mean, it was just it was good to
29:19
Speaker 23: see us get back on the positive side of things.
29:23
Speaker 5: You know.
29:24
Speaker 23: Joey played well, our leadership stacked up in a game
29:29
Speaker 23: where we needed to needed to win, you know, and
29:35
Speaker 23: that's Vancouver at home is a game that we you know,
29:39
Speaker 23: in my mind, if we're you know, gonna go where
29:42
Speaker 23: we want to go, we have to win that game.
29:44
Speaker 23: You're not always gonna do that, but certainly you do
29:48
Speaker 23: yourself as a favor when you when you win a
29:50
Speaker 23: hockey game like that. I thought our guys did a
29:52
Speaker 23: good job of stepping up to the plate tonight. It's
29:55
Speaker 23: a different opponent, you know. I mean, it's a better
29:57
Speaker 23: opponent obviously, you know, But certainly we've got to be
30:03
Speaker 23: We've got to be good tonight.
30:05
Speaker 11: And the crack and I'm going to answer that challenge
