- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to artists on artists on artists on artists. Movies.
- 0:08Speaker 2: We love them, you love them, and people create them.
- 0:11Speaker 2: But who are the people.
- 0:13Speaker 1: That create the atmosphere to watch the movies created?
- 0:17Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We're sitting down and talking to a group of people
- 0:20Speaker 2: that work at all the AMCs in Burbank.
- 0:24Speaker 1: That's right.
- 0:25Speaker 4: For some reason, Burbank has three different AMCs. That is
- 0:29Speaker 4: the AMC Town Center six, the AMC Town Center eight,
- 0:34Speaker 4: and the AMC sixteen.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Sounds right to me.
- 0:39Speaker 2: All these movie theaters are about half to a quarter
- 0:43Speaker 2: block away from each other. Don't make sense why they're
- 0:46Speaker 2: next to each other, and yet still they have riveting,
- 0:49Speaker 2: interesting environments. So we thought to sit down with the
- 0:52Speaker 2: workers who bring you your favorite movies to the screen.
- 0:57Speaker 6: So hop on the one thirty four, get off, and
- 1:01Speaker 6: let's listen in.
- 1:02Speaker 1: It's not the best way.
- 1:03Speaker 7: To this is.
- 1:09Speaker 1: This is awesome.
- 1:10Speaker 8: I feel like I've never been given a mic in
- 1:12Speaker 8: my life.
- 1:13Speaker 1: This is so crazy.
- 1:15Speaker 9: Yeah, I'll be like talking about movies and then like
- 1:19Speaker 9: making one.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we're kind of making a movie right now,
- 1:23Speaker 2: kind of Ye, it's like perfect coverage.
- 1:25Speaker 10: Yeah, actually, yeah, I see, I think I actually got
- 1:27Speaker 10: to the Little Kathy Angles and I really liked that
- 1:30Speaker 10: because you.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Are always such a director. Man, I always wanted to
- 1:33Speaker 2: be a director.
- 1:34Speaker 10: I am a director. I Uh, I am very excited.
- 1:38Speaker 10: I moved out to LA a week and a half ago.
- 1:41Speaker 10: And of course I've been working for the AMCs for
- 1:44Speaker 10: a while because I've been driving in because I live
- 1:48Speaker 10: in Claremont.
- 1:49Speaker 3: But I finally officially rough.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That's a crazy drive and I got four and five,
- 1:56Speaker 2: ten to ten. You're getting so much traffic, so much
- 2:00Speaker 2: trailed for this industry.
- 2:03Speaker 10: You make the sacrid yes, and I was making it
- 2:06Speaker 10: and so that's how I got to know you guys,
- 2:08Speaker 10: and you guys became my.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Crew, the movie crew. That's what movie crew.
- 2:14Speaker 9: And like the images, like it's like a really weird
- 2:17Speaker 9: frame from Pulp Fiction, and it's like.
- 2:20Speaker 10: If you don't know the movie, it's Harvey Kaitel driving away.
- 2:28Speaker 11: Yeah, and you go that back could be anyone, but.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We know, we know it's Harvey. Because that's kind of
- 2:33Speaker 1: how we bonded.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Like one night they were showing, we got they were
- 2:36Speaker 2: as an empty movie theater. We've decided like, hey, let's
- 2:39Speaker 2: put on pulp Fiction. Yeah, you remember this for us
- 2:43Speaker 2: if we just did.
- 2:44Speaker 9: I couldn't believe they went to what's in it? Jackson,
- 2:48Speaker 9: who was like he was our old manager. They never
- 2:55Speaker 9: got on and I was like, jacks off, can we
- 2:59Speaker 9: like something in the theater and he goes, oh, it's
- 3:02Speaker 9: just like it's empty.
- 3:03Speaker 11: Just please make more popcorn.
- 3:04Speaker 4: That's exactly what He's so stupid.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I love when you do Jackson impressionless.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It's just like, please the planner of the apes posters
- 3:14Speaker 1: need to go up.
- 3:17Speaker 4: You do question of everybody at per bake AMC Like
- 3:21Speaker 4: literally it's like everybody.
- 3:23Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it's just but remember okay, we did
- 3:26Speaker 8: pulp fiction and then every day when we were cleaning up,
- 3:28Speaker 8: we were doing the After Before Trilogy.
- 3:31Speaker 10: Oh yeah, After Midnight, After After Before After, the After
- 3:36Speaker 10: Beture for trilogy, as it is known by the many
- 3:39Speaker 10: that love it.
- 3:40Speaker 7: Sorry, I'm depressed. I love those movies.
- 3:42Speaker 11: They're really depressing.
- 3:44Speaker 9: Make you think about like like it makes me think
- 3:46Speaker 9: about like like what will happen like when one of
- 3:49Speaker 9: us stops working and like will these friendships I'm sorry,
- 3:53Speaker 9: like will these friendships carry?
- 3:56Speaker 12: No?
- 3:56Speaker 5: Like wait, that's really sad.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Christ No, I.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Just you're only hot when you're not crying.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I just love hanging out with you guys at the
- 4:08Speaker 4: Burbank amzs and traveling in between all three Like sometimes
- 4:12Speaker 4: it can feel isolating, but you guys are the glue
- 4:15Speaker 4: that keeps.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Them all together. Word words, let's introduce ourselves.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Hi, am Courtney. I work at all three Burbank.
- 4:22Speaker 4: AMC's, and these guys are my best friends of the
- 4:25Speaker 4: whole world. I used to work at yogurt Landoo.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Not technically a competitors, but we don't like them.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I consider them rivals.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And I was like with them if honestly.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Literally, I was just sitting in Yogurtland, running the cashier,
- 4:45Speaker 4: going what the.
- 4:47Speaker 5: F am I doing? Yeah, what the f am I doing?
- 4:50Speaker 10: This?
- 4:50Speaker 6: Yogurt smells stinky.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I'm sticky all the time, I tell is ass ass
- 4:57Speaker 4: And so I was like, I need to go to
- 4:59Speaker 4: some the exact opposite of yogurt Land.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And you looked across and I looked across the street,
- 5:05Speaker 2: past the gap gap.
- 5:08Speaker 8: Past Batman, up the stairs, stairs, and into the A
- 5:13Speaker 8: m C.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I was just pulled up those things like what And
- 5:17Speaker 4: I walked in and I said, Jackson.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I need a job.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You knew it is by name.
- 5:22Speaker 11: That's crazy.
- 5:23Speaker 6: He was wearing a name tag.
- 5:24Speaker 5: I did a power move.
- 5:26Speaker 10: Speaking of the name tag, Courtney, how about you say
- 5:28Speaker 10: on the name tag what your favorite movie is.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I think that's a fantastic introduction to who we are.
- 5:32Speaker 9: Okay, that's gonna give everyone a huge like layup for
- 5:35Speaker 9: like I know who coy.
- 5:39Speaker 11: I think I got.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Okay, so up the stairs.
- 5:45Speaker 4: If you look at my name tag, my eyes are
- 5:47Speaker 4: up here Courtney and below it is a stop gun to.
- 5:54Speaker 3: So that's a little known fact.
- 5:56Speaker 10: Sometimes when you see somebody with their name tag and
- 5:58Speaker 10: one of the newest movies that ever came out, it's
- 6:00Speaker 10: their famous favorite movie.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Of all time, and now you called Tapa to called.
- 6:05Speaker 11: Yeah, but the top it's like it's the second one.
- 6:07Speaker 3: It's the public facing thing that ames.
- 6:09Speaker 10: He makes d because like if I wanted to put
- 6:12Speaker 10: like a Louis boon Weell movie on, like they would
- 6:14Speaker 10: not want me to.
- 6:16Speaker 9: I tried to get Bicycle Riders on and they were like, no,
- 6:20Speaker 9: no knows what the hell bicycle Riders.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Between five different favorite movies.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Printed them out.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Because it's engraving a movie on every single name tag
- 6:32Speaker 4: is actually super expensive.
- 6:33Speaker 11: This is like, don't tell it, don't.
- 6:37Speaker 9: They basically just proNT out IMDb's top fifty rated movies
- 6:39Speaker 9: and you have a big one of these.
- 6:41Speaker 11: Yeah, we do it.
- 6:42Speaker 7: And they bring him to an engraved engraver in there.
- 6:45Speaker 9: It's you know, you know what Jackson told me what
- 6:48Speaker 9: it was like when he was getting fired. He was
- 6:49Speaker 9: just spin out secrets and it was just they were
- 6:51Speaker 9: remember because it was like.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Really locked him up.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I was getting arrested, Yeah, arrested, And I was
- 6:58Speaker 2: just saying all these things, and you go, he's.
- 7:00Speaker 6: The guy that does the oscars.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's such a good.
- 7:07Speaker 9: Because when he gets mad, he gets really high and gets.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and he was mad like a hatter at that point.
- 7:16Speaker 7: He was so mad.
- 7:18Speaker 6: That's your favorite movie?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Lauded movie?
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Alice in Wonderland and the Tim Burton one, Tim
- 7:28Speaker 2: Burton's allis in Wonderland.
- 7:29Speaker 1: That's what it is.
- 7:30Speaker 10: Wait before introduce yourself, you want to say your secret
- 7:32Speaker 10: favorite movie that isn't on your top.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Gunt Oh, my secret favorite movie, top Gun the first one.
- 7:38Speaker 11: That one was taken.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I love. Yeah, what's up? Everybody? My name is Gunter
- 7:44Speaker 3: and uh.
- 7:46Speaker 10: Well it says here obviously it says, my favorite movie
- 7:49Speaker 10: is Alis in Wonderland, but secretly my favorite movie is
- 7:53Speaker 10: uh that, Uh What's a persona Ingmar Bergman classic.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You're such a director.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I'm a director. I planned to be a director.
- 8:04Speaker 10: I went to the strike, as you can tell, the
- 8:06Speaker 10: Writer's Strike.
- 8:07Speaker 3: They gave me this hat. I went to the Writer's
- 8:10Speaker 3: Strike solidarity.
- 8:12Speaker 9: Yeah, and you said you wanted to be director, and
- 8:14Speaker 9: they're like, they fucking threw us under the bus. Yes,
- 8:17Speaker 9: and they were so mad, but you were like, but
- 8:18Speaker 9: I also want to be a writer's flash director r exactly.
- 8:20Speaker 3: They were like, why did you let your union do that?
- 8:22Speaker 3: And I was like, I'm not a part of it.
- 8:25Speaker 3: And then I turned real little. I was clear on
- 8:28Speaker 3: I kind of spirals out real little. I turned real little.
- 8:32Speaker 10: But basically I love to film my entire life. Ever
- 8:34Speaker 10: since my mom showed me there's something about Mary when
- 8:37Speaker 10: I was seven years old. It was too young, and
- 8:39Speaker 10: it really affected me. And ever since then, I've been
- 8:42Speaker 10: wanting to say stuff in movies. And I feel like
- 8:46Speaker 10: working in a movie theater is gonna be the way
- 8:48Speaker 10: Like I feel like it's been so helpful to like
- 8:51Speaker 10: be there amongst you guys, I'm also known as the
- 8:54Speaker 10: guy who does interesting stuff to the popcorn.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's not gross. He just kind of mixes it up sometimes.
- 9:00Speaker 10: Yeah, well sometimes I throw I throw Eminem's into the
- 9:03Speaker 10: popcorn machine and.
- 9:07Speaker 8: It does nothing. Really, it does nothing to the popcorn itself.
- 9:10Speaker 8: It more like does something to the machine and it
- 9:13Speaker 8: breaks it.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it builts below the kernels. It doesn't get on
- 9:16Speaker 3: the kernels at all, and it goes into the wiry.
- 9:18Speaker 9: But that's the trick, is that after the popcorn machine
- 9:20Speaker 9: is fixed, that's when the popcorn is the best.
- 9:22Speaker 11: So you're like doing a service.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Hero word word word, I totally am.
- 9:28Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 9:29Speaker 7: What's up?
- 9:31Speaker 8: I'm Paul John, my god, and here you go.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I don't think I'll be able to listen without cracking up.
- 9:40Speaker 7: No, you're only cracking up because I'm so sad. What's up?
- 9:44Speaker 7: I'm John, I'm Paul John.
- 9:46Speaker 8: And yeah, I get my favorite movie, my fake favorite movie,
- 9:50Speaker 8: The Fableman's Number three.
- 9:56Speaker 11: Weroom.
- 9:56Speaker 7: I could make one up well, and then my next one.
- 9:59Speaker 8: But my your favorite movie is Basler Min's Romeo plus Juliet.
- 10:05Speaker 10: Ah a cinematic masterpiece.
- 10:10Speaker 9: It's just like the costumes and the music and just
- 10:13Speaker 9: like how like sexy.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, So, like I was wondering if I was the
- 10:17Speaker 3: only one who picked that up.
- 10:19Speaker 2: So I think he did on purpose because he didn't
- 10:22Speaker 2: want everybody to think it was horny. But if it's
- 10:25Speaker 2: like you can see that of his hidden theme is horny.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, horny. That's one of the easter eggs
- 10:31Speaker 5: of the movie is horny.
- 10:32Speaker 11: So horny.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't, I don't want to get into it.
- 10:37Speaker 11: It was one of those things that Jackson.
- 10:42Speaker 9: That's when they were waking and he stumbled down the
- 10:45Speaker 9: stairs with your hand and he.
- 10:49Speaker 11: Just said Boss was sexually attracted to every actor. Yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 11: he was like throwing, he was trying to throw.
- 10:55Speaker 9: He was like trying to cancel Boss, like they canceled
- 10:58Speaker 9: bos Lemn.
- 10:59Speaker 6: It's hard to can't somebody while you're zip tied together.
- 11:02Speaker 4: I hear a really glass stones, throwhouses like that whole thing.
- 11:06Speaker 11: Absolutely can.
- 11:08Speaker 10: I just say, it's like, honestly a service, how lucid
- 11:10Speaker 10: you are every time, uh you're around Jackson because.
- 11:14Speaker 3: You know everything about him, you remember every moment.
- 11:16Speaker 11: It's just like.
- 11:17Speaker 9: When we were with Jackson, I felt like I was
- 11:20Speaker 9: constantly in a rage because this guy was like ruining
- 11:22Speaker 9: my favorite job in the entire world. But I was
- 11:25Speaker 9: also like, I need to write this down because like
- 11:28Speaker 9: I'm I'm trying to be a screenwriter.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Produce yourself, Introduce yourself.
- 11:32Speaker 9: Hi, my name is Pierce pier. My favorite movie it's
- 11:38Speaker 9: Jurassic World Dominion. My real favorite movie is Dunstan checks.
- 11:43Speaker 3: In Oh Guilty.
- 11:46Speaker 1: It is such a writer type.
- 11:48Speaker 9: Well, it's like you watch it and you go like,
- 11:50Speaker 9: this is a perfect movie.
- 11:52Speaker 7: This is perfectly.
- 11:54Speaker 11: I'm sorry to say, it's a perfectly crasson movie.
- 11:57Speaker 10: And you know you're a screenwriting nerds like you, that's
- 12:00Speaker 10: the thing. You read the script, and you read the
- 12:02Speaker 10: Dunst script.
- 12:03Speaker 11: I made sure I track that ship down.
- 12:05Speaker 9: I went onto eBay and I was like where to
- 12:07Speaker 9: find Dunst and checks In original screenplay?
- 12:10Speaker 11: And I just like read that ship non stop when
- 12:12Speaker 11: I was a kid. So what was I talking about?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Perfect?
- 12:16Speaker 10: I know?
- 12:17Speaker 9: So I'm writing all these like things down about Jackson
- 12:19Speaker 9: because I'm like, this guy's a character.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a.
- 12:22Speaker 7: Character right now, Sandra. Nothing funny about about No.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Like to do an impression of her would be to
- 12:31Speaker 4: suck the air out.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Of the room.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Nothing funny about Sandra.
- 12:35Speaker 10: Yeah, Court, Yeah, there actually is a recording of an
- 12:38Speaker 10: impression of her. It's Harry partter three.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It's the dementias.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I got her, I got her, they got her.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Oh god, I got him.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I gots no pears.
- 12:55Speaker 11: I'm so sorry.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Are you okay?
- 12:58Speaker 11: I'm good, I'm good.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 12:59Speaker 11: That was just so funny.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 8: Remember we can always share this in hailer. There's nothing
- 13:05Speaker 8: disgusting about that.
- 13:07Speaker 11: I mean, that's not the only thing we've shared.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Wait when did you share?
- 13:13Speaker 7: Did you we shared the biggest root beer in the world.
- 13:16Speaker 6: I don't believe that.
- 13:18Speaker 11: I dared John, Paul Paul John. Sorry, I love mixing
- 13:23Speaker 11: it up.
- 13:23Speaker 9: I dared Paul John to drink the fucking biggest Doctor
- 13:27Speaker 9: Pepper Routier. It was like it was like a suicide
- 13:30Speaker 9: Doctor Pepper Rutier. It was just those two though down
- 13:33Speaker 9: at AMC six.
- 13:35Speaker 7: It was six.
- 13:35Speaker 8: It was sick because we can get away with doing
- 13:37Speaker 8: crazy shows below the ground.
- 13:39Speaker 9: Yeah, it was underground, and I was like, I bet
- 13:41Speaker 9: you can't drink this. Stop in every theater. Du like
- 13:44Speaker 9: the like post show check in every theater. Go work
- 13:46Speaker 9: through all of six, work through all of eight, work
- 13:49Speaker 9: through all.
- 13:49Speaker 11: Of sixteen meet me at the front desk and not
- 13:51Speaker 11: have to.
- 13:52Speaker 7: Piss because I'm a little bit of what you call
- 13:55Speaker 7: a dare devil.
- 13:57Speaker 11: Another fav movie.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Yeah, another gad movie movies.
- 14:01Speaker 2: The movie Karmen Electra in that movie is so good
- 14:05Speaker 2: at the end, She's right at the end?
- 14:09Speaker 13: Is she?
- 14:09Speaker 11: Or is it just Electra?
- 14:10Speaker 1: Oh right? The character character?
- 14:13Speaker 8: Classic classic Stephen mistake.
- 14:16Speaker 9: But you know, Jackson, huge other surprise from Jackson. Apparently
- 14:22Speaker 9: they were considering Carmen Electro.
- 14:24Speaker 1: No, what Yeah, how did Jackson have all this?
- 14:27Speaker 11: It's like that. But that's the thing. When you work
- 14:29Speaker 11: at the AMCs, it's like a lot. You see a lot.
- 14:31Speaker 11: You see it like people are always coming through. People
- 14:33Speaker 11: are doing deals there with.
- 14:34Speaker 10: At the center of Hollywood, like, and they also do
- 14:36Speaker 10: a lot of private, secret screenings.
- 14:38Speaker 3: But we can't get it. We can't get into that
- 14:40Speaker 3: right now. We haven't even talked about you yet.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Come on, okay, guys, my name is Stephen.
- 14:45Speaker 2: But a lot of people call me twist because I.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Just like a movie that's a little twisted.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and you spoil all the endings for us. That's
- 14:54Speaker 2: I love revealing. I two things I love the mood
- 14:56Speaker 2: that's a little twisted. And then I love revealing twists
- 14:59Speaker 2: at the end of the movie.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I kind of the spoiler king.
- 15:02Speaker 6: What sort of the twisted thing about you?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Is your toys that you spoiler spoilers? And I have
- 15:10Speaker 1: a lot of fun.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I started this about two years ago and it's been
- 15:14Speaker 2: really fun.
- 15:15Speaker 11: Are you thinking about before and after sunset?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Well? That is just my voice. I have a hay fever.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Okay, I have really bad allergies.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So I have really bad allergies.
- 15:30Speaker 7: Why we can't put you at.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Well yeah, well it's too allergic down there. I mean,
- 15:35Speaker 1: that's what we call it.
- 15:36Speaker 2: The mole in the mold. It's like four moles and
- 15:39Speaker 2: for molds is what the AMC six is like. But
- 15:43Speaker 2: I have so much fun. Oh my favorite movie is
- 15:46Speaker 2: Marvelous Miss.
- 15:49Speaker 1: The movie that was.
- 15:52Speaker 9: Yeah, Prime did a Prime did a super kind of
- 15:55Speaker 9: all the sounds into one movie.
- 15:56Speaker 2: But my actual favorite what but my you know your
- 16:02Speaker 2: microphone is addio?
- 16:05Speaker 1: Okay, Well, you keep on talking, keep on talking without it?
- 16:14Speaker 11: Where's my well beatrin?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Okay?
- 16:20Speaker 6: Tailors?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Well, and you try to act depressed, but you can't
- 16:23Speaker 2: help but get too excited.
- 16:25Speaker 8: A little bit of a fucked up pharmacy.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Anyway, My favorite movie of all time is cong Versus Godzilla,
- 16:33Speaker 2: the first one, not Kong ex Scotson, No No No,
- 16:37Speaker 2: No cong versus.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Japanese film or no the sixties.
- 16:41Speaker 2: One of the New One, the sixties New One, the
- 16:44Speaker 2: sixties New Ones.
- 16:45Speaker 7: When you say the old one, you met stop.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I like movies.
- 16:49Speaker 2: You guys are so good at naming the director and
- 16:52Speaker 2: a writer and actually each other.
- 16:53Speaker 10: Is just like we are two centophiles, and we do
- 16:56Speaker 10: tend to kind of geek out and we start going
- 16:58Speaker 10: crazy about movies.
- 16:58Speaker 8: So when you put two centepiles in a pharmacy next
- 17:01Speaker 8: to each other, I don't know.
- 17:07Speaker 11: We're starting a production company.
- 17:09Speaker 2: It's actually been really fun because having you the writer
- 17:12Speaker 2: and you the director has been really fun because you've
- 17:14Speaker 2: been actually asking us to act a little bit, and
- 17:16Speaker 2: we've been kind of like not to reveal anything, but
- 17:18Speaker 2: we've been kind of working on a short film at
- 17:21Speaker 2: the movies, about the movie about the movies. It's like
- 17:24Speaker 2: a horror because we heard that like horror is the
- 17:27Speaker 2: easiest movie to get sold, So you guys decided to
- 17:29Speaker 2: make like a horror comedy that takes place at the
- 17:32Speaker 2: movies about the movies.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Yeah, and I've never done any like at Yoga Land.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Nobody ever asked me to act like that never happened,
- 17:45Speaker 4: And it's like I just couldn't take that environment anymore.
- 17:47Speaker 4: But but having you coach us through these scenes like
- 17:51Speaker 4: was so so infesting.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Both of your notes was crazy because like they were
- 17:56Speaker 2: so fun And you guys have one brain, but two
- 17:58Speaker 2: completely different thoughts on a lot of you.
- 18:00Speaker 11: You want to be brain left brain.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I want to be I want to be like
- 18:07Speaker 6: so famous.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And a lot.
- 18:10Speaker 4: And I keep being told that like that that seems
- 18:14Speaker 4: incongruent with my personality that.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Like why who tells you that?
- 18:21Speaker 13: What?
- 18:22Speaker 5: I'm No, you're just saying that.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Courtney, you're so charismatic and so funny and so funny
- 18:29Speaker 2: on camera, Like you are so charismatic.
- 18:32Speaker 1: We have a clip of us acting.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I think we should talk a little bit of the film.
- 18:36Speaker 10: It's called run Time, and it's a horror film because
- 18:38Speaker 10: there it's actually there.
- 18:39Speaker 3: It's run time because.
- 18:40Speaker 10: They're in a movie and they're in real time, and
- 18:43Speaker 10: it's in real time the amount of time that.
- 18:45Speaker 11: A movie would be the movie happens. The movie is happening.
- 18:50Speaker 9: Simultaneously and it's happening at the length of that movie exactly.
- 18:53Speaker 10: So it's like they realize that basically, by the time
- 18:55Speaker 10: the movie is over, they're going to be killed by
- 18:58Speaker 10: the by the masked popworks.
- 19:00Speaker 6: Are so they realized, Yeah, they like realized they're anim movie.
- 19:03Speaker 10: Yeah, and run time is actually a play on words
- 19:06Speaker 10: and this you thought of this pierced and it's brilliant
- 19:08Speaker 10: because running as in being murdered and then running as
- 19:11Speaker 10: in the length of a film.
- 19:13Speaker 9: And you're like running out of time exactly running I
- 19:16Speaker 9: think of that, and when you're running, it's like it's
- 19:18Speaker 9: run time. We have to run now, that's java, that's there,
- 19:26Speaker 9: can't be.
- 19:26Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I know you guys brought some of
- 19:29Speaker 2: your favorite scenes that you guys are still editing together.
- 19:31Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So Courtney plays like the young love interest in like
- 19:35Speaker 1: the lead.
- 19:36Speaker 11: She's like the final girl girl of the theater.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I play kind of like your best friend that's kind
- 19:41Speaker 2: of helping you figure out who could be murdering all
- 19:44Speaker 2: these people.
- 19:44Speaker 8: Right, yeah, yeah, And even though I was stoned as
- 19:47Speaker 8: hell i was shooting it, they gave me the camera,
- 19:49Speaker 8: you see.
- 19:50Speaker 11: Yeah, so let's play the clip.
- 19:54Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I think it's on.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I think you were doing this.
- 19:57Speaker 7: Again, Gregory.
- 19:59Speaker 6: I'm behind the popcorn machine. I'm behind the popcorn machine.
- 20:03Speaker 6: I think something's really messed up here.
- 20:05Speaker 11: We come to this place for magic, we come to
- 20:09Speaker 11: this place.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Was what do you want to do?
- 20:12Speaker 7: Gregory? There's gonna be a murder.
- 20:15Speaker 4: I think I'm having the realization that we're in the movie,
- 20:20Speaker 4: not just watching the movie.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Oh No, likened it.
- 20:29Speaker 7: Together so well, gonnaed and I really.
- 20:34Speaker 11: Don't.
- 20:35Speaker 9: That's like the number one thing you learn when you're here,
- 20:37Speaker 9: like working on movies, like don't judge movie on the daily.
- 20:44Speaker 11: Watching finished movies. Don't judge a movie because I think.
- 20:47Speaker 4: There's one very clear thing about that clip that's not working,
- 20:51Speaker 4: and it was super jarring to me.
- 20:53Speaker 5: And that's the color correction.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Cool, I think, so you're acting, So you're acting. You're acting,
- 20:59Speaker 3: and we won't be taking notes.
- 21:00Speaker 9: Yeah, the color correction is something that happens like way
- 21:03Speaker 9: after we even finished shooting it.
- 21:05Speaker 12: If we don't do that first, we've had this talk before.
- 21:12Speaker 4: It's like, unless you color correct, I can't even give
- 21:15Speaker 4: notes on it because I don't even know what I'm.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You're so charismatic.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I want to be so fake.
- 21:23Speaker 9: Let me say, let me just say, like this energy
- 21:26Speaker 9: is what's going to make you a star, but it's
- 21:28Speaker 9: also like what's going to prevent people from like I
- 21:31Speaker 9: wanted to keep working with you, like with like the
- 21:33Speaker 9: idea of like notes like this, because like we're not
- 21:35Speaker 9: accepting notes at the moment, right.
- 21:36Speaker 10: And just logistically, so if we were to color correct
- 21:39Speaker 10: after every single scene budget wise, that would be really difficult.
- 21:43Speaker 9: Like it costs so much money to have someone color
- 21:45Speaker 9: correct us scenes, so you want to have them do it.
- 21:48Speaker 1: All at once, throw a filter on it, at.
- 21:49Speaker 8: Least my voice out of the back of the shot.
- 21:53Speaker 11: Twist. That's called a lot a lot? Have you heard
- 21:56Speaker 11: of a lot?
- 21:57Speaker 4: Here?
- 21:57Speaker 11: My god, I don't want to.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Even get in the Sorry, guys are just so good
- 22:01Speaker 2: at this. You guys just so know so much.
- 22:05Speaker 11: Steven.
- 22:06Speaker 8: I have never in my life twist Stephen, Twist, twister twist.
- 22:13Speaker 7: I've never seen someone throw candy boxes?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Right?
- 22:17Speaker 7: What's that? What's what do we call the glass thing
- 22:19Speaker 7: that shows the.
- 22:20Speaker 11: Boxes container candy, the county.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Candy count window because it's like.
- 22:30Speaker 11: A window into like this is what your future exact.
- 22:33Speaker 8: You from the truck from the loading truck, can throw
- 22:36Speaker 8: them in there, right, thanks the Twizzlers and ship.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I love doing that.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's like it feels like I can just turn off
- 22:43Speaker 2: my brain and throw some candy. So it's really fun
- 22:46Speaker 2: that you guys let me do that. And I love
- 22:48Speaker 2: the games that we play of like.
- 22:49Speaker 1: How far can he get? How far can he get it? Perfect?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and you get how far can candy get? How
- 22:56Speaker 2: far candy get? Remember when I threw the bunch of
- 23:00Speaker 2: all the way from the batman that was the stairs
- 23:04Speaker 2: into the window. It bound held the door. You guys
- 23:07Speaker 2: held the door. It bounced off the pop orangine and
- 23:09Speaker 2: went right.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I have no idea a bunch of gun had the
- 23:11Speaker 3: capability to bounce.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I've got I've got a crunches volume.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, should be a professional baseball pitcher. Because the way
- 23:20Speaker 4: you curved the bunch of crunch into doors and weaved around.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I don't know, I've kind of fallen in love with acting.
- 23:27Speaker 14: Oh yeah, well, you guys are like I mean, so
- 23:31Speaker 14: you're so like charismatic, Like it is so hard to
- 23:35Speaker 14: get anyone to like upgrade.
- 23:38Speaker 9: Their popcorn even though it's twenty five cents. Yeah, like
- 23:41Speaker 9: it's so hard. Yeah, like, what are you all tricks?
- 23:44Speaker 9: Because I have my tricks.
- 23:46Speaker 2: You guys are like, I know, like dealing with customers
- 23:48Speaker 2: is fun, Like concessions is kind of the crazy.
- 23:51Speaker 1: It's where it's all kind of.
- 23:54Speaker 4: That's the personality job, Like that's the face, that's the money.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:57Speaker 7: It just wasn't fast enough. You guys are fast.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah, they have you clean it up after the movies.
- 24:03Speaker 7: Now I go through and I sweep.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You're also the intimidating team that they put in the
- 24:08Speaker 2: front just in case somebody walks in with an idea or.
- 24:12Speaker 10: With a sandwich with a bad idea sandwich.
- 24:17Speaker 11: We call John Paul, Paul John.
- 24:21Speaker 9: I keep like wanting to call you John Paul, like
- 24:23Speaker 9: the Pope or something from Yeah, like your we call.
- 24:27Speaker 11: We call Paul John. I almost said John Paul again.
- 24:31Speaker 9: Mister, no outside drinks, Mister.
- 24:37Speaker 8: I can spot an outside drink from I want to say,
- 24:42Speaker 8: three miles away.
- 24:43Speaker 11: How can you tell the difference.
- 24:46Speaker 1: To the other.
- 24:51Speaker 7: There was a one time I called Courtney.
- 24:53Speaker 8: I was in the amc A and I called you
- 24:56Speaker 8: because you were in the you were in the big one,
- 24:58Speaker 8: and I said, I said, woman with a corps light
- 25:01Speaker 8: woman with a corps light. I see her from this
- 25:03Speaker 8: far away, and I.
- 25:04Speaker 6: Said, there's no way. There's no way.
- 25:06Speaker 8: And I'll tell you drinks from the audio. They sparkle
- 25:10Speaker 8: a different way than drinks that we sell, You know
- 25:12Speaker 8: what I mean?
- 25:12Speaker 7: People shine.
- 25:16Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 25:16Speaker 7: You figured it out too.
- 25:19Speaker 9: I feel like a lot of trouble defining, like what's
- 25:22Speaker 9: a drink and what someone's like bulge, you know.
- 25:25Speaker 11: Because they put him in the pocket. And I'm like,
- 25:27Speaker 11: I don't.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Want to presume that that accident appears.
- 25:29Speaker 2: You really thought it was a drink and it turned
- 25:31Speaker 2: out to be just a big, big bowl.
- 25:35Speaker 9: I said, multiple, it's Celsius. That's a fucking Celsius. And
- 25:39Speaker 9: I grabbed it and I grabbed his deck. I kept
- 25:44Speaker 9: yanking trying to pull it out, and I reached in
- 25:46Speaker 9: his pocket and there was nothing there.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Jackson, well, Jackson believe me. That was the thing.
- 25:55Speaker 11: And Jackson enjoyed me.
- 25:56Speaker 9: But then I mean, that's also kind of why I
- 25:59Speaker 9: feel kinship to jack and because he took he took
- 26:01Speaker 9: one for the team for you have.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Of you guys. We did turn out that that man
- 26:05Speaker 6: had a titanium piece.
- 26:09Speaker 11: He had he had a whole thing I have never seen.
- 26:13Speaker 5: It was made of metal.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Like, guys, we're not in the wrong there.
- 26:17Speaker 1: He kept blessing, he kept yelling.
- 26:21Speaker 9: He liked it was like a penis and recovery, so
- 26:24Speaker 9: it was like in a can and he.
- 26:25Speaker 7: Was like.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Iron, it was so crazy in recovery.
- 26:33Speaker 9: He was in recovery and I couldn't. I was like,
- 26:35Speaker 9: is this comfortable to send the movies? And he's like,
- 26:37Speaker 9: if you have the recliners and he was going to
- 26:40Speaker 9: see something in Dolby.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So, yeah, let me talk about let's talk let's talk
- 26:45Speaker 1: three D as well.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 10: I think it would be good to like including this
- 26:50Speaker 10: conversation into the three A m C's and how they
- 26:53Speaker 10: are different to us as well, because some of them
- 26:55Speaker 10: do have a lot of Dolby capability, but they all
- 26:57Speaker 10: have thrown vibe and we should really clarify like each one.
- 27:01Speaker 15: Right, I think that what I feel this way, and
- 27:04Speaker 15: I don't know if you feel this way. The basement
- 27:07Speaker 15: one the six, yes, baby, the six is where debauchery happens.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Six the six is like the bad boys were like,
- 27:16Speaker 4: we can kind of get away with like if we
- 27:18Speaker 4: want to sneak in a beer.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Or something, we can.
- 27:22Speaker 2: A lot of the clientele is a lot of people
- 27:24Speaker 2: that don't want to be seen watching movies.
- 27:27Speaker 11: Like it's like teenagers cheating on their partners. There are
- 27:31Speaker 11: like so many like.
- 27:32Speaker 7: Grown men seeing the Trolls movie.
- 27:34Speaker 4: I see that a lot of where people are embarrassed.
- 27:36Speaker 4: If you're embarrassed to see a film, you call it right.
- 27:40Speaker 10: Now, we actually call it the AMC sex secretly because
- 27:44Speaker 10: there's a lot of bad stuff happening is bad.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I always feel bad though, for the moms to come
- 27:49Speaker 2: in a huff going to the other three and going
- 27:51Speaker 2: and going to the other two and.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Going, well, I didn't know, I couldn't find it.
- 27:54Speaker 11: It was underground, and they are just it's such a shame.
- 27:58Speaker 3: And I always go, yeah, right, you don't know where
- 27:59Speaker 3: that is, and.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Then they kind of go they give you a smirk
- 28:01Speaker 1: and walking slowly.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yeah like that. I don't like.
- 28:07Speaker 12: I don't like when they give a smirk when they
- 28:10Speaker 12: try to lie to you and go yeah, yeah yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 12: and they don't say they always are doing these big
- 28:16Speaker 12: tall tales about why they've been in.
- 28:21Speaker 11: They just go, it's so it's so embarrassing. Yeah, what's
- 28:28Speaker 11: the sex the sex.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Of I like to say it's more of the film
- 28:33Speaker 2: types will end up going to I mean, these are
- 28:35Speaker 2: the independent artists where they host the Oscars.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Short films.
- 28:41Speaker 7: See a lot of regulars there.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Yea the cardigan a MC because everyone's in a little
- 28:47Speaker 4: cardigan and a scarf, just judging.
- 28:49Speaker 1: They just bringing their notebooks.
- 28:51Speaker 10: And I don't know if you call it, you know,
- 28:53Speaker 10: Paul John said regulars as in people who do rigging
- 28:56Speaker 10: for movies.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, it's like a the regulars.
- 29:02Speaker 11: We call them the regular regular.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Guys, cribs and gosh are they blue lives matters?
- 29:11Speaker 13: They are.
- 29:12Speaker 10: I always also saying it's the ultimate twist of fate
- 29:14Speaker 10: that they have to it's a cruel irony that they
- 29:17Speaker 10: have to walk through them all, one of the most
- 29:19Speaker 10: commercial places in the entire world in order to get
- 29:21Speaker 10: to the artistic movie.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Well.
- 29:23Speaker 2: I look at of like that because you always see
- 29:25Speaker 2: them so introspective pre and post a movie, because you're
- 29:29Speaker 2: really applying what they've just taken in in a movie
- 29:31Speaker 2: and looking around at all the commercialism and really making
- 29:35Speaker 2: a judgment.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Yeah, you can tell if somebody just saw a movie
- 29:38Speaker 4: at the AMC eight, because they're walking they're looking at
- 29:40Speaker 4: the buffalo wild wings and shaking their heads.
- 29:43Speaker 11: Yeah, or they have a bag of like things from
- 29:46Speaker 11: World Market.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 7: Meanwhile, our Big.
- 29:53Speaker 6: One, the Big Show, Big, we have a lot of
- 30:00Speaker 6: great wide way.
- 30:02Speaker 3: That's one of the thing.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I also call it Hinge City, Hinge City because my god.
- 30:09Speaker 8: So many hinge dates and those are the ones that
- 30:11Speaker 8: are bringing in outside drinks. And I'm never gonna let you.
- 30:17Speaker 6: Don't put away your fistic cups.
- 30:19Speaker 11: You can't give up when you're trying to. And I
- 30:24Speaker 11: know it's like I've grabbed a metal penis.
- 30:27Speaker 9: So it's like I understand how hard it is to
- 30:30Speaker 9: be like I don't want to push it too far,
- 30:32Speaker 9: but like you can't.
- 30:33Speaker 11: They can't bring stuff in.
- 30:34Speaker 3: No, they can't.
- 30:37Speaker 7: Holding machas in their shoulders.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Their shoulders.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Very oppressive.
- 30:44Speaker 11: It's like it's a slippery slope. It's machas.
- 30:46Speaker 7: Then it's pad you exactly, you know, and you don't
- 30:49Speaker 7: want them to bring.
- 30:50Speaker 11: Pads because we got to clean that out. At the
- 30:52Speaker 11: Big One.
- 30:53Speaker 7: We have a lot of the personalities leading the way.
- 30:55Speaker 7: You guys are usually there, usually.
- 30:58Speaker 9: Thank you and bring a lot of that's really want
- 31:01Speaker 9: like premiere folks like yeah, that's where they get the upsell.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and yeah, well no you go ahead. Well, yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 1: it's just I mean, we also have to work the bar.
- 31:11Speaker 1: We haven't even talked. That's where things really get tough.
- 31:16Speaker 2: And I kind of wish there wasn't an open alcohol
- 31:19Speaker 2: opportunity for people going to sit for two and a
- 31:21Speaker 2: half hours, for big, big, big grown men to sit
- 31:24Speaker 2: for two hours and just get wasted.
- 31:26Speaker 10: Do you guys remember the two thousand and seven film
- 31:28Speaker 10: The Butterfly Effect. That's how I feel about because it
- 31:32Speaker 10: is just yeah, well because it's one tiny thing. It's
- 31:36Speaker 10: a thirty two ounce drink that's the color of aminion.
- 31:39Speaker 10: They drink it, they have to pee, they wreck our bathroom.
- 31:43Speaker 10: So the bar makes our bathrooms worse, you know what
- 31:46Speaker 10: I mean? And then it makes the snacks worse. It
- 31:48Speaker 10: makes everything worse. Mcguffins is bad. I wish we could
- 31:52Speaker 10: ban alcohol and bourbank entirely, but mcguffins is a good
- 31:55Speaker 10: place to start.
- 31:56Speaker 7: Yeah, but yeah, you're right, it like causes a divide.
- 31:59Speaker 8: Like I remember, I will never forget it's a long
- 32:02Speaker 8: time ago, because I've been working there for a really
- 32:04Speaker 8: long time.
- 32:05Speaker 7: There's a screen of talenting and nights you have been
- 32:08Speaker 7: here for a lot.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's about twenty two years old that movie.
- 32:13Speaker 8: Yeah, and uh, there were these guys just drank so
- 32:19Speaker 8: much Mike's hard lemonade at mcguffin's, which we have on tap, yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 8: which is like so fucking annoying.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's I would say it's also a big
- 32:28Speaker 4: problem when you put alcohol in a movie theater because
- 32:31Speaker 4: a lot of kids who were able to sneak into
- 32:33Speaker 4: an A rated RM movie they get cocky and they're.
- 32:37Speaker 6: Like, oh, well I got past that door. Yeah, maybe
- 32:39Speaker 6: I can get past this one.
- 32:41Speaker 8: And for some reason, if they're both in a trench
- 32:42Speaker 8: coat and they're sitting on top of each other, I'll
- 32:44Speaker 8: buy I'll sell them an R rated ticket.
- 32:46Speaker 7: But then when they want tequila's.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Twice already said yes to one.
- 32:53Speaker 5: So how can you say those And.
- 32:55Speaker 10: Let's discuss it. Kids in trench coats. People think it's
- 32:58Speaker 10: a myth. It's real, and it's it's a big deal
- 33:00Speaker 10: with every day.
- 33:01Speaker 11: It's so real. This is a costume town. There are
- 33:04Speaker 11: huge there there.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Magnolia itself is seventeen different costume shops.
- 33:09Speaker 9: They're on their way to the theater and they just
- 33:10Speaker 9: pick up a million trench coats, seven foot tall trench coats.
- 33:14Speaker 3: It is two kids.
- 33:15Speaker 4: It could take down our entire industry, not just for
- 33:19Speaker 4: the legal implications but the financial implications.
- 33:22Speaker 11: That's two tickets that become one. They lose sometimes three
- 33:25Speaker 11: if the kids are small.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Enough, if streaming services are taking away the movie theaters.
- 33:29Speaker 7: No trench coats.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and there was a it's tough too.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Now they're getting so good at disguises, and sometimes he
- 33:36Speaker 2: mixed up, like I appearced to remember when you messed
- 33:38Speaker 2: up and thought that one tall man with three kids
- 33:41Speaker 2: in the trench.
- 33:42Speaker 9: Grabbed cracked his pocket, and I grabbed in his pocket
- 33:45Speaker 9: because I thought it was a kid's leg and it
- 33:47Speaker 9: was his penis. I thought it was the leg hanging
- 33:50Speaker 9: over and I was like, I'm gonna topple this kid down,
- 33:52Speaker 9: and it was penis. It's tough, it was so it's
- 33:55Speaker 9: it's it's embarrassing. Jackson also took one for me there
- 33:58Speaker 9: as well.
- 33:59Speaker 11: He took the blame.
- 34:00Speaker 4: I really.
- 34:03Speaker 11: Know he might be kind of a good he's kind
- 34:05Speaker 11: of hero.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Nobody's voice is weird.
- 34:06Speaker 13: It is.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Your impression makes fun of his voice. Yeah, because he went,
- 34:16Speaker 2: can we play another clip from your movie. Maybe I
- 34:18Speaker 2: really had fun watching.
- 34:22Speaker 3: You guys are addicted what I'm sorry.
- 34:24Speaker 6: I want to be famous so bad. Unfortunately I'm addicted
- 34:27Speaker 6: to the limelight like a drug.
- 34:29Speaker 1: In my ivy.
- 34:31Speaker 5: Mainline, it through me.
- 34:33Speaker 6: We could watch, we could do another thing, one more scene.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I would love to you guys can see, well whatever
- 34:38Speaker 2: you think, because there we shot a lot in the
- 34:40Speaker 2: movie theaters, in like the back hallways, So like, what
- 34:42Speaker 2: do you guys want to show?
- 34:43Speaker 3: Maybe the killer reveal? You want to.
- 34:46Speaker 11: Spoil that now?
- 34:47Speaker 7: It happens in front of the yard house.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Right shot this in Golden Hour, which is really beautiful.
- 34:56Speaker 9: It was so it's like because there's just a little
- 34:58Speaker 9: bit of sun that taks right through the Barney's and
- 35:02Speaker 9: the big like parking lot and it is so beautiful.
- 35:07Speaker 9: And yeah, the killer steps out from behind the Batman statue.
- 35:11Speaker 7: Largest here we go. I think it's still on.
- 35:15Speaker 3: And make sure the Dutch angle you know what that is?
- 35:17Speaker 4: Gregory, No, there's someone, there's someone behind the Batman statue.
- 35:25Speaker 11: I didn't collection.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I didn't collection.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I could tell.
- 35:29Speaker 6: I could tell there's someone behind the Batman statue. I
- 35:34Speaker 6: could tell Gregory, I'm the director Gregory saying something.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Sorry, Courtney, choose sorry Corney, you would speak? Sorry? Sorry,
- 35:51Speaker 1: kill me?
- 35:51Speaker 7: I'm gonna go to the bunny.
- 35:53Speaker 11: Can we sorry? Sorry?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Sorry?
- 35:57Speaker 11: Try another line?
- 35:58Speaker 10: Can we can?
- 35:58Speaker 13: We?
- 35:58Speaker 11: Can we like try doing another line there? Like just
- 36:01Speaker 11: do another thing, like like make it up, like make up,
- 36:04Speaker 11: just do whatever feels right right now. It feels a
- 36:06Speaker 11: little stilted, Yeah, just like make it up.
- 36:08Speaker 7: Okay, like trying a new thing.
- 36:11Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, Gregory, how dare you?
- 36:18Speaker 11: Don't say like that? Don't don't say like that? Keep going?
- 36:22Speaker 5: Okay, Gregory?
- 36:24Speaker 1: How dare you it was me all along the killer?
- 36:30Speaker 5: How dare you?
- 36:31Speaker 6: I thought we were friends?
- 36:33Speaker 1: Why?
- 36:33Speaker 5: Gregory?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Why don't you understand?
- 36:36Speaker 11: He has to speak up.
- 36:41Speaker 7: This is what I'm saying, and I'm not getting anything.
- 36:46Speaker 3: I can't hear him. A kid, hear him?
- 36:50Speaker 1: You understand? I want to own this movie? Why do
- 36:54Speaker 1: you have to kill me?
- 36:56Speaker 5: Gregory?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Don't kill me?
- 36:58Speaker 6: There's more to life than owning him?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Movie, theater, my dad, and now I want to.
- 37:05Speaker 13: Wait.
- 37:05Speaker 6: You keep looking away from me when you're talking.
- 37:08Speaker 13: I can't hear you.
- 37:11Speaker 11: Cue just talking about cut like, don't break the scenes,
- 37:15Speaker 11: don't look at me, don't look at me.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Don't look at me. What are you talking to me?
- 37:18Speaker 11: Okay, see that was color corrected. Well, that was color corrected.
- 37:26Speaker 1: We didn't edit it the money.
- 37:31Speaker 4: It's like, I can tell that's a movie because the
- 37:33Speaker 4: color corrected and the other stuff doesn't really bumm me.
- 37:36Speaker 1: But now I can see it twist.
- 37:38Speaker 3: You beg to watch another clip? You begged?
- 37:43Speaker 1: I found my passion.
- 37:44Speaker 3: That's your passion?
- 37:46Speaker 1: Is something magical there watching myself do that? Did you
- 37:50Speaker 1: feel it? I felt it?
- 37:51Speaker 2: That was I remember being there being so nervous. But
- 37:54Speaker 2: also there's a moment when Courtney looked at me and
- 37:57Speaker 2: I she said I had to look away because I
- 37:59Speaker 2: was so ash shamed of what I did, and I
- 38:01Speaker 2: just delivered that line, I want to own this movie.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Would you give yourself? What would you rate yourself? Five stars?
- 38:08Speaker 3: If this was on Stubbs?
- 38:09Speaker 2: What would you rate if I saw that on Stubbs.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I think it was as good as Scooby Doo two
- 38:13Speaker 2: five stars.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Monsters on lead Monsters on kind of one of ours.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I thought. And also it was so cool because I
- 38:21Speaker 1: think that was the moment we both learned what improv was.
- 38:24Speaker 7: Yeah, now you guys are both taking that.
- 38:26Speaker 1: And now we're going we're both taking that class.
- 38:29Speaker 6: That guy's house right, yeah, yeah, down the street of
- 38:33Speaker 6: a doubt. It is in Burbank locally.
- 38:35Speaker 15: We didn't want to leave the area.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Would you.
- 38:38Speaker 2: But he his name is Jonathan Applegate and he hosts
- 38:41Speaker 2: improv one on one out of his house.
- 38:44Speaker 11: That's so nice.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we learned what yes and is? Do you want
- 38:48Speaker 1: to do it?
- 38:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:48Speaker 11: Okay, I am on a cruise, yes, and I am
- 38:52Speaker 11: on a cruise yes.
- 38:54Speaker 5: And I am on a cruise.
- 38:56Speaker 11: Should should we roll on this?
- 38:59Speaker 15: Oh?
- 38:59Speaker 1: Never mind? I am a lot of.
- 39:00Speaker 6: Cups are yes, god, and I am on.
- 39:05Speaker 7: Cruise.
- 39:06Speaker 6: God.
- 39:06Speaker 11: You guys are such the personality.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So that is improv.
- 39:10Speaker 5: I want to be famous so bad?
- 39:12Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 39:13Speaker 1: Were you guys really fun? Do you want to Yeah?
- 39:16Speaker 7: I was technically makingcording back.
- 39:18Speaker 4: I think like yeah, because improv I kind of caught
- 39:21Speaker 4: the bug even just now, like hearing the laughs, I
- 39:24Speaker 4: was like, oh, I'm addicted to this.
- 39:27Speaker 9: So do you want to be a stage performer or
- 39:28Speaker 9: a film performer? You know, because no one's like laughing
- 39:31Speaker 9: live when we're making movies.
- 39:33Speaker 8: That's actually such a good point, Like I like this
- 39:36Speaker 8: might be really important a crossroads.
- 39:37Speaker 5: Well, can't the crew just laugh a little bit?
- 39:40Speaker 1: Can't they just let a bit out? It might like it.
- 39:44Speaker 5: We've got I bet I bet some do so.
- 39:47Speaker 3: It would bother the sound. I watch a lot of bloopers,
- 39:50Speaker 3: and there's gonna be a lot of bloopers for this.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, can we play the bloopers?
- 39:54Speaker 4: No?
- 39:55Speaker 1: No, we can't. No more play the bloopers watching me, Courtney,
- 40:02Speaker 1: do that at all?
- 40:03Speaker 10: I love the genuine sweetness that you have when you
- 40:06Speaker 10: watch yourself, like it's like watching It's like a watching.
- 40:11Speaker 3: A four year old pick a flower. I'm not lying,
- 40:13Speaker 3: but I'm like.
- 40:15Speaker 8: So sick of it because listen, I used to love
- 40:17Speaker 8: the old days when we used to watch movies, real
- 40:20Speaker 8: movies on the screens. We're the only people in all
- 40:24Speaker 8: of this city, this city far and wide, that have
- 40:26Speaker 8: access to so many screens.
- 40:28Speaker 11: I don't want to watch my friends like everyone does
- 40:30Speaker 11: have like a screen now, but like the.
- 40:34Speaker 7: Theggest tablets in the world.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Okay, what do you want to watch?
- 40:37Speaker 3: Then this?
- 40:39Speaker 8: We don't want to watch any of our movies. I'm sorry,
- 40:41Speaker 8: I'm just gonna say it, but isn't that like the dream?
- 40:44Speaker 8: Like that's what I'm gonna say. Yeah, I think I'm
- 40:47Speaker 8: different than you guys. What I don't want a career
- 40:50Speaker 8: in filmmaking.
- 40:51Speaker 2: What do you?
- 40:51Speaker 1: What do you want?
- 40:52Speaker 5: What could you possibly want?
- 40:54Speaker 7: I want to keep doing this for the rest of
- 40:56Speaker 7: my life.
- 40:58Speaker 8: No greater joy do I get When I'm making popcorn
- 41:01Speaker 8: at seven PM and I hear someone barfing from mcguffins
- 41:04Speaker 8: in the bathroom. Then I go to the utility closet
- 41:06Speaker 8: and I pick up the swiffer swiffer without batteries that
- 41:09Speaker 8: we now just use as.
- 41:10Speaker 1: A mob You use a swiffer to.
- 41:14Speaker 11: That's like, that's why you've had to get so many
- 41:16Speaker 11: of them.
- 41:19Speaker 10: That's disposable, and that's why we had to get a
- 41:22Speaker 10: new grout on all the tiling.
- 41:24Speaker 7: Not my issue, my issue, that's true.
- 41:33Speaker 8: I just want to say I love the movie theater
- 41:37Speaker 8: so much. I love the movie theater more than I
- 41:39Speaker 8: love movies, because though movies are great, movie theaters are
- 41:43Speaker 8: where people gather and you guys are the only family
- 41:47Speaker 8: I've ever had.
- 41:49Speaker 5: Wow, I do kind of feel like a family.
- 41:52Speaker 8: And sometimes I feel like all of you are just
- 41:54Speaker 8: waiting for your big break and you're just gonna leave
- 41:56Speaker 8: Burbank and you'll never come back.
- 41:57Speaker 1: No, never, we'll never leave.
- 42:00Speaker 9: I want to do is make these movies and then
- 42:01Speaker 9: screen them so you know, Stephen could watch them in
- 42:04Speaker 9: the same movie theater.
- 42:06Speaker 3: My dream is that we make our movie and we
- 42:09Speaker 3: get to come and instead of taking the ticket, we.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Give the ticket exactly to the taker.
- 42:16Speaker 3: And it's not you because you're with us. But if
- 42:19Speaker 3: this isn't your dream, you can take with the swiffer.
- 42:22Speaker 3: I mean, I think you can buy one.
- 42:24Speaker 8: Yeah, is it the bouncing my passionate about people gathering
- 42:31Speaker 8: in the movie theaters for me to play with the swiffer?
- 42:33Speaker 1: O the whole part of a production that's just cleaning up.
- 42:37Speaker 11: Yeah, like a janitorial janitorial service services.
- 42:42Speaker 3: We're never saying I just love.
- 42:44Speaker 7: Where we work a lot, and I never want you
- 42:46Speaker 7: to leave.
- 42:47Speaker 11: I never want to leave a family.
- 42:49Speaker 1: We're such a huge family.
- 42:51Speaker 5: It's been so nice and there's.
- 42:55Speaker 7: No better job.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Please take attention yet, So.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 43:06Speaker 4: I realized they started talking and I didn't need to
- 43:08Speaker 4: check the clock. And it looks like exactly we're right on.
- 43:11Speaker 11: Your ship starts soon.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm supposed to be well, where are you at today?
- 43:19Speaker 5: I wasn't going to say this. No, I'm going to
- 43:23Speaker 5: be manager.
- 43:24Speaker 6: What what I'm going to be manager? At sixteen?
- 43:28Speaker 1: What happened to Andrew? What happened?
- 43:30Speaker 3: Did they find that laser gun?
- 43:32Speaker 2: I put he went to jail, So they didn't find
- 43:36Speaker 2: the laser gun. So the laser gun is still safe.
- 43:38Speaker 2: We can still mess around you.
- 43:41Speaker 11: The laser gun is Sancho's back, so criminate.
- 43:46Speaker 6: You said that at the same time, so you okay,
- 43:51Speaker 6: Well it.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Doesn't matter somebody's penis because the laser gun is good.
- 43:57Speaker 10: A laser gun from laser tagging a bag from own one.
- 44:01Speaker 10: I thought it was gonna you'd be done.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Yeah, the cops would just be like, what the hell
- 44:06Speaker 3: is this was she?
- 44:08Speaker 11: Were you trying to get her arrested for thievery?
- 44:11Speaker 4: Or like.
- 44:15Speaker 10: What was the planing man for having a gunner bag?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Laser goods? Like real good?
- 44:24Speaker 3: Like you didn't want to buy a corney.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I didn't want to buy a real gun as admirable.
- 44:34Speaker 6: Well, because well mister A MC was walking by.
- 44:39Speaker 15: Shut up.
- 44:40Speaker 6: He came in Anson Michael Clark AM, Michael Clark and Michael.
- 44:46Speaker 11: Clark Hanson Michael Clark first name, middle names Clark.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Not hearing and hands as.
- 44:58Speaker 11: Michael non markle Michael, you're trying to jump to Clark
- 45:15Speaker 11: too soon.
- 45:17Speaker 6: That's exactly what's happening.
- 45:20Speaker 11: And you're trying to combo Michael and Clark into Marcle'.
- 45:25Speaker 1: That's I really appreciated my scripts.
- 45:27Speaker 6: You see the vocal.
- 45:29Speaker 9: You did that a lot on set, where you would
- 45:31Speaker 9: combine words, and it was like we needed to break
- 45:34Speaker 9: up the words.
- 45:35Speaker 5: I get so excited about the word.
- 45:36Speaker 3: That's I'm too excited for Clark. You got to go
- 45:40Speaker 3: back to Michael, be less excited for.
- 45:43Speaker 6: Anson, Michael andson Michael Clark.
- 45:49Speaker 1: So he was walking by.
- 45:52Speaker 4: So anyway, he was walking by and he said, uh,
- 45:55Speaker 4: you little lady. He was just pretending to be nobody.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Oh he's hitting on a sixteen. He was doing the
- 46:01Speaker 1: secret little.
- 46:02Speaker 7: Lady on you.
- 46:06Speaker 6: It's more like.
- 46:09Speaker 4: I'm sorry, but he anyway, he said, excuse me, a
- 46:13Speaker 4: little lady, where's the men's restroom? And I said, sir,
- 46:16Speaker 4: it's this way, And he said, you passed the test.
- 46:21Speaker 4: You didn't even blink before you showed me where the
- 46:25Speaker 4: bathroom was. And what don't why don't I show you
- 46:28Speaker 4: who I am? Takes his hat off.
- 46:31Speaker 6: Anson Anson, Michael Clark.
- 46:39Speaker 1: What was under his hat that gave it?
- 46:42Speaker 11: Was it a large popcorn? Yeah?
- 46:49Speaker 6: It was the Popcorn headband. He always it's graved with
- 46:54Speaker 6: his name.
- 46:55Speaker 4: And he said, I want to make some changes around here.
- 46:59Speaker 4: You the girl with the laser tag and the dent
- 47:02Speaker 4: to grabbing a dick, Come with me.
- 47:04Speaker 1: You're out of here. But how how are you going
- 47:07Speaker 1: to handle both? How are you gonna be an manager
- 47:10Speaker 1: and an actor?
- 47:11Speaker 13: How?
- 47:12Speaker 3: I'm how are you gonna handle?
- 47:13Speaker 4: Like?
- 47:14Speaker 11: How is this gonna work out when we do the
- 47:15Speaker 11: premiere there?
- 47:17Speaker 4: Like?
- 47:17Speaker 11: Like can you manage the theater? And like walk the carpet?
- 47:21Speaker 3: Because if you take off and you say you're sick
- 47:23Speaker 3: and then you show up in a big dress, they're
- 47:25Speaker 3: gonna know you can't missus.
- 47:29Speaker 5: I think I can missus.
- 47:31Speaker 7: You can't you get hired in a big dress?
- 47:34Speaker 4: I turn away thirteen kids in trench coats every day.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Wow, I know how to miss his doubtfire.
- 47:41Speaker 6: You just have to believe in me, mister a mc
- 47:46Speaker 6: what's the name as my ankle?
- 47:48Speaker 4: Clark always get you, always says if you are faced
- 47:56Speaker 4: at a crossroads, where you are when did you say that?
- 48:01Speaker 4: He was?
- 48:01Speaker 11: Thisn't like the man was thisn't like the manual.
- 48:03Speaker 3: I love how, I love how, I love how think
- 48:06Speaker 3: he's coming in. It's an important figure in our lives
- 48:08Speaker 3: till late in this episode.
- 48:12Speaker 11: He disappears for long periods of time, but then like
- 48:18Speaker 11: he's right there. He's like the most important. He's so
- 48:22Speaker 11: loo there.
- 48:26Speaker 6: Do you guys remember him from the training video?
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yes, and he said, and he said, back when you're in.
- 48:33Speaker 4: A crossroads and you and you'd see two roads in
- 48:37Speaker 4: front of you. One is harder one and one is
- 48:42Speaker 4: the easier.
- 48:43Speaker 13: One harder one, because it's harder too, and that will
- 48:52Speaker 13: get you farther.
- 48:54Speaker 5: Now, make movies.
- 48:58Speaker 1: So he was a little wrong, Mari.
- 49:01Speaker 2: He doesn't make movies. I think you just lets them
