  marriages, and our daily lives. I'm your host,

  Barry Mwamba, and in this first season, we're

  talking about something the enemy fears the most,

  marriage. My wife and I have been married for
• 0:30
  18 years, and before that, we dated for five.
• 0:33
  We're both Christians, born again and filled
• 0:36
  with the Holy Spirit. Today, by God's grace,
• 0:40
  we have a beautiful family, a deep friendship,
• 0:43
  and a love that continues to grow. But getting
• 0:45
  here wasn't easy. We walked through storms, real
• 0:49
  storms, moments we weren't sure we'd make it.
• 0:52
  There were nights we thought love was gone, times
• 0:54
  we ignored each other's hearts, separated bills,
• 0:58
  called lawyers, and even started planning to
• 1:01
  live apart. We believed we had lost our first
• 1:04
  love, but God, in his mercy, stepped in. He reminded
• 1:10
  us who joined us together in the first place.

  He showed us that marriage isn't built on emotion,
• 1:17
  or understanding, or intelligence, it's built
• 1:20
  on him. I chose to begin this series with marriage
• 1:23
  because I've learned something powerful. The
• 1:26
  devil's biggest mission is to destroy marriage.
• 1:29
  Because when marriage falls, the church weakens
• 1:32
  and society follows. He knows that strong marriages
• 1:35
  build strong families, and strong families build
• 1:38
  strong communities. So he attacks the foundation,
• 1:42
  the covenant God designed to reflect his love.
• 1:45
  But through the years, I've learned that a lasting
• 1:48
  marriage isn't built on beauty, intelligence,
• 1:51
  or even emotion. It stands on God and on two
• 1:54
  hearts that refuse to let go of Him or of each
• 1:58
  other. When storms come, when understanding fails,
• 2:02
  when love feels tested, remember, your strength
• 2:05
  is not in what you know. but in who holds you
• 2:08
  together. Your only true support is God and your
• 2:11
  spouse, your partner in the covenant of grace.

  That's how marriages endure. That's how families
• 2:17
  thrive. That's how the church stays strong. If
• 2:20
  the enemy attacks what God built, then we must
• 2:22
  defend it with prayer, grace, and love. Your
• 2:25
  marriage is not just about happiness. It's about
• 2:28
  holiness. Pray together. Forgive quickly. Stand
• 2:32
  united when it's hardest to stand at all. Because
• 2:35
  when your home is strong, your faith stands firm.
