- 0:00NVIDIA's $2,399 RTX Spark laptops put up to 128GB in a portable Windows PC. This is MAG 7 Daily,
- 0:09Episode 26. NVIDIA's own newsroom says those RTX Spark machines are on sale now, with
- 0:16Blackwell RTX graphics and the full NVIDIA AI platform inside Slim Premium Windows PCs.
- 0:22The brands on the list are ASIS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. NVIDIA frames
- 0:29them for local AI, for content creation, and for gaming you can carry.
- 0:34Microsoft shows up there as a laptop maker, not as the tenant of a haul.
- 0:39Google has a new home speaker, and the New York Post-Nishka Dawan put the price at $100
- 0:44— six years after the last NES speakers.
- 0:47She says this model replaces that older generation, and is built to run with Gemini for home.
- 0:53The box she measured is 3.4 inches tall, and 4.2 inches across, and it weighs 9 tenths
- 0:59of a pound with the power cable.
- 1:01Audio is a 58-millimeter full-range driver
- 1:03throwing sound in a full circle.
- 1:05It connects over Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4,
- 1:09and Thread 1.3 with three far-field microphones
- 1:12and a 30-watt USB-C adapter on a cord.
- 1:16Colors are berry, porcelain, hazel, and jade.
- 1:19She added it in the Google Home app in under five minutes.
- 1:22With Gemini, she set schedules, had her calendar read back,
- 1:26held a conversation, and cut the assistant off mid-sentence.
- 1:30It can also sync to other smart devices already in the house.
- 1:33Some of those controls need Google Home Premium.
- 1:36On the advanced plan, she says you can search camera history or get a home brief of what
- 1:40the house did while you were out.
- 1:42Mark German says the stores he has spoken with are still counting iPhone Duo units they
- 1:47expect by next Friday against units already promised to pre-orders.
- 1:51He calls any verdict on stock for people who did not pre-order premature.
- 1:55He also says Apple has sent zero communication to its retail stores, telling them to turn
- 2:00walk-in buyers away.
- 2:01A manager at a few stores may have said something to staff.
- 2:05Nothing like that has gone out as store policy.
- 2:08He is not saying it will not happen.
- 2:10He is saying it has not been said.
- 2:12In China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea, he writes, that same message covers only the iPhone
- 2:1718 Pro Max.
- 2:19Carson Oliver is Apple's new vice president of the App Store, and tech meme pointed to
- 2:24a polygon interview with him. The subject's tech meme named are Apple's gaming vision,
- 2:29Apple Arcade, and tools for indie game developers. Metta is under election scrutiny in Brazil,
- 2:36Benzinga reported, over Instagram restrictions on accounts belonging to Lula ahead of a runoff.
- 2:42Bolsonaro is named in that same item's framing. Elon Musk has agreed to settle two lawsuits,
- 2:48the Verge reported, over a 2024 promise of $1 million a day to a randomly picked registered
- 2:54voter in a swing state. Two Arizona residents had called that drawing a fraud. The settlement
- 3:00covers those two cases. The laptop launch is not the rental book. The telegraph, as tech meme
- 3:06carried it, says Microsoft canceled its deal to be end-scales anchor tenant, and to rent 23,000
- 3:12NVIDIA AI chips at a planned center in Essex that has already slipped more than once. Bloomberg,
- 3:18citing the telegraph, says that exit lands at a critical moment for British NeoCloud end-scales
- 3:24hopes of an initial public offering. On the US map, a Financial Times report via TechMeme
- 3:30says, RegLayer counted 47 or more large data center projects delayed, withdrawn or blocked
- 3:36in 2026. Bernstein's estimate in that report is that about 35% of the planned US pipeline
- 3:43is credible. That shares the number that decides how much announced hall space behind NVIDIA
- 3:48chips should be treated as real. Yesterday's cloud conversation was about growth. Today's
- 3:54This number is a price gap.
- 3:56Tech Insider put $5.41 an hour between NVIDIA H100 rates on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft
- 4:03Azure and Google Cloud.
- 4:05The New York Times via TechMeme says Core Weaves Bond yield has topped 15% that ensuring
- 4:11soft bank debt is getting more expensive, and that some Oracle debt is changing hands
- 4:16near 80-90 cents on the dollar.
- 4:19InfoQ says Amazon will run its European sovereign cloud without the global backbone for several
- 4:24hours. A shattered .io note describes a Google Cloud U4 chip with 120 cores, aimed at high
- 4:31frequency trading. Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet are the three clouds in that H100 comparison,
- 4:38so a buyer of the same Nvidia part can be shown three different hourly prices. Nvidia is the
- 4:44maker of the H100 in that survey, not the author of the prices. The gap is a rental spread.
- 4:49It does not, on those terms, add a building, a power feed, or a permit.
- 4:54Core Weave, SoftBank, and Oracle are outside these seven companies.
- 4:59The TimesP still sits next to Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet because that kind of borrowing
- 5:04has been paying for AI buildings and the accelerators inside them.
- 5:08A yield through the level the TimesPrinted is an expensive coupon.
- 5:12Paper in the 80-90 cent range is below face value.
- 5:15you. Either print makes the next unbuilt haul harder to finance than chips that are already
- 5:20installed and already priced by the hour. Amazon's European drill asks the scarcity question
- 5:26a different way. Can that region keep running when the usual worldwide network is gone? For
- 5:31a stretch counted in hours rather than dollars per hour? The drill does not add H100 capacity.
- 5:37They are named with Amazon in the price comparison, so they share the commercial spread and not
- 5:42the disconnection test. Amazon carries both a slot in the H100 spread and those sovereign
- 5:47cloud hours. Microsoft carries Azure's slot in the same spread, so a workload that can
- 5:53move can use the gap against Azure or in Azure's favor. The UK lease Microsoft dropped is a
- 5:59building contract, separate from this rate card. Alphabet carries Google clouds place in the spread
- 6:05and those 120 U4 cores, a trading chip rather than the H100 being priced by the hour.
- 6:11A short path through a market and a rental gap are different offers, and both are Google
- 6:16Cloud putting a number on specialized compute while Amazon prices an H100 hour and schedules
- 6:22a disconnection.
- 6:23Nvidia carries the H100 as the part all three clouds are pricing, so the spread is what
- 6:28those clouds charge for Nvidia hardware.
- 6:31Not a list price Nvidia posted today.
- 6:34Apple's number in this set is a device price.
- 6:36Mac rumors reported the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the United States, a purchase rather
- 6:44than an hour of rental.
- 6:45The times yield and the oracle sense stay a backdrop for all of them, and a filing from
- 6:51none of them.
- 6:52On the calendar, October 23 is the date Mac rumors reported for the first iPhone Duo pre-order
- 6:58deliveries.
- 6:59October 24 is the date Apple's online store tells customers to check back for pickup,
- 7:04And MacRumor says that message does not guarantee stock.
- 7:08Before we go, watch whether Bernstein's 35% credibility share, not the laptop sticker,
- 7:14is the figure people use the next time a haul full of NVIDIA chips is announced.
- 7:19The past seven days, taken together, were less about one product and more about what these
- 7:23companies were allowed to ship and where the machines sit.
- 7:27Google DeepMind's proof system took down nine open-earthish problems, two of them unsolved
- 7:3212 for 56 years, and by Saturday, Google had opened deep review to the public after more
- 7:38than 16,000 paper checks.
- 7:40Microsoft's plan for co-pilot replies from 2027 still rests on 96 accelerators in one
- 7:46rack, while Househouse kept August big walk off Xbox over Microsoft's Israel ties.
- 7:53Apple's China Path moved on three model filings for mainland iPhones, and the UK cloud story
- 7:58still leaves Amazon and Microsoft as the two firms that can ease switching.
