- 0:04Speaker 1: Thank you for setting up the studio today. And when
- 0:07Speaker 1: I got here an hour ago.
- 0:09Speaker 2: You said it to be ready and it wasn't. I've
- 0:10Speaker 2: already got my grumpy pants on. Don't test me. Don't
- 0:14Speaker 2: test me want to be on the wrong side of
- 0:17Speaker 2: you anyway. I'm just going to practice checking things for
- 0:21Speaker 2: Monday and I face some people. Have you been what's
- 0:26Speaker 2: news with you? I told everyone I'm buying a Ranger
- 0:29Speaker 2: Raptor yep, which is great. So could you get that
- 0:32Speaker 2: June delivery July? Of course, by the way, for the
- 0:36Speaker 2: rest of you who've got those on order, you'll get
- 0:37Speaker 2: that July next year. Fall gets dodgy treat Now.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm going to clarify because I was concerned about this
- 0:43Speaker 1: when I asked for I put it out on social line.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I said, look, I want to buy one.
- 0:47Speaker 1: If you're a dealer and you can get me one
- 0:49Speaker 1: in your first allocation, hit me up.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And there's a lot of drug dealers that hit it up.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I had a lot of dealers get in touch with me,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and we got to the point where I was like,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm probably going to start pissing people off if I
- 1:00Speaker 1: take someone's order, like an actual custom of it.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Like put an order in a year ago or something.
- 1:05Speaker 1: So what I ended up doing was I found a
- 1:07Speaker 1: dealer who was willing to give me his personal vehicle
- 1:11Speaker 1: and he will then go to a later allocation, so
- 1:14Speaker 1: big shout out to him. I'll have some more details
- 1:16Speaker 1: on that when I finally get a little closer to it.
- 1:18Speaker 2: But yeah, so I'm excited for that. Currently in the
- 1:20Speaker 2: process of figuring out which color to buy. I'm going
- 1:23Speaker 2: to get the beadlock rims. It should be good fun. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 2: getting in black.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm thinking black or conquer gray, which is like a
- 1:32Speaker 1: Narto gray style color.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And what color rims?
- 1:35Speaker 1: The rooms will be black? I think there are like
- 1:37Speaker 1: a matte black with the beadlocks.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah good. Are you going to get the whole just
- 1:42Speaker 2: dip it brakes, the calipers. I'm not going to do that.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Come on, bro, get something to match that Monster Energy
- 1:48Speaker 2: flat cut you've been wearing in that gym beam shirt. Yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I actually also conjuring up my registration plate because I
- 1:54Speaker 1: want to get a toolish registration plate.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So PNSC a Penis car Noel. I was going to
- 2:01Speaker 2: get SML DCK small deck. I don't know what is that? Yes, jeez,
- 2:08Speaker 2: it is available so accurate.
- 2:11Speaker 1: But did you see in the news just quickly. I
- 2:14Speaker 1: know I'm springing this on you now, but someone pulled
- 2:17Speaker 1: a nineteen sixty eight Manara, like the Bathurst edition out
- 2:23Speaker 1: of a shed. It had been there for forty five years,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and it's going to auction in a few well as
- 2:30Speaker 1: of recording this a few weeks time, I'll be interested
- 2:32Speaker 1: to see how that goes, because the interior looked amazing,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and they obviously cleaned it and all that sort of stuff,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and the outside looked pretty schmid For forty five years
- 2:40Speaker 1: in a shed.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I'm always dubious on those sorts of things because like
- 2:45Speaker 2: the interior, especially like they've got hay and bloody mice
- 2:49Speaker 2: and crap have been in them.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking as well. Forty five years
- 2:54Speaker 1: is a long time of floods, hot weather, ramole I mold.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And I look at this and I'm like, this is unrestored,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and it looks like it's in excellent condition.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I do wonder whether someone finds one.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Of these, keeps it dusty for six months and goes, hey,
- 3:09Speaker 1: this was in a shed for forty five years.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I mean, how are you going to know? Wow? Yeah,
- 3:13Speaker 2: that will be interesting. I want to get we should
- 3:14Speaker 2: get a picture of that up. Is there a news
- 3:16Speaker 2: article on that? There is? Yeah, I actually did a
- 3:18Speaker 2: Channel seven US piece on it yesterday. Oh okay, mate,
- 3:20Speaker 2: we all know you're sleeping with Jennifer Kaye. Come down.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Another one that I saw as well was a VS
- 3:27Speaker 1: GTSR so you know the yeller yeh with the big wings.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Colm had one of those that had been in storage
- 3:34Speaker 1: for twenty odd years, as in car port for twenty
- 3:37Speaker 1: odd years. It has five thousand k's on it, so
- 3:39Speaker 1: they're currently sort of restoring it. Really, but with those things,
- 3:43Speaker 1: they're so easy to dodge the odos on them that
- 3:45Speaker 1: five thousand k's I would find it pretty hard to believe.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But yeah, do you know what they do?
- 3:50Speaker 1: They get lots of social media coverage and then goes
- 3:52Speaker 1: up to auction all of a sudden and everyone goes, oh,
- 3:55Speaker 1: that's the car that was in storage. I'm going to
- 3:57Speaker 1: go throw some cash on it.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So is that what you did, your old AHSVS? You
- 4:01Speaker 2: threw that on socials, isn't it? Unfortunately? Did you get
- 4:06Speaker 2: good dollars for those? One has sold. The other is
- 4:09Speaker 2: in an option soon look out guys, and you too
- 4:13Speaker 2: could own a piece of poor memorabilia an SML dc CA.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Oh my god. Speaking of news, the BMW seven series
- 4:23Speaker 2: surfaced surface. I love the way you said that, like
- 4:27Speaker 2: it's a deep sea creature. It does look like one
- 4:29Speaker 2: literally is. And you know what we were touching on
- 4:33Speaker 2: last step with the X seven x seven. Yeah, how
- 4:37Speaker 2: I said, Usually a lot of Chinese market cars or
- 4:40Speaker 2: Asian market cars will borrow features a lot from European cars.
- 4:45Speaker 2: This is exactly reverse. This is the BMWG seventy by Genesis. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: it is weird. It's weird. What do you make of
- 4:54Speaker 2: the split headlights? I just there must be a reason
- 4:57Speaker 2: for it, And at this stage I don't know what
- 4:58Speaker 2: it is. Because it's a t friend that's clearly coming
- 5:02Speaker 2: from somewhere because we've seen it on a lot of
- 5:04Speaker 2: Hyundai Kia stuff. I think this is like mullets. It's
- 5:08Speaker 2: a trend, but it shouldn't be a trend. Did you
- 5:10Speaker 2: have a mullet? Oh my god, you did? No, Yes
- 5:13Speaker 2: you did? Oh no, you didn't. You you had something
- 5:15Speaker 2: going on. I saw an old can we get that
- 5:18Speaker 2: fatal up? I've seen you in a it a Baghatti.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Oh yes, yeah, with your bloody pink fluoro T shirt
- 5:28Speaker 2: and your acne issue. There was no mulletboat. Oh there
- 5:32Speaker 2: was something a flat top or a mohawk or something.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Jesus did you steal that? Is that what you went away?
- 5:42Speaker 2: Is that what you disappeared for ten years?
- 5:44Speaker 1: It was an aston Martin, a V advantage convertible that
- 5:49Speaker 1: my colleague Elbows, drove from Geelong to Adelaide. I drove
- 5:53Speaker 1: it to Geelong and while it was in Geelong, we
- 5:55Speaker 1: were at a servo and someone almost ran into it.
- 5:58Speaker 1: This like actual ban in, an old falcon who didn't
- 6:02Speaker 1: like wealthy people near him. He kind of like almost
- 6:05Speaker 1: ran it off the road. So at that point we thought, okay,
- 6:08Speaker 1: time for you to leave. This is enough time in
- 6:10Speaker 1: Geelong for a Astin.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But oh, my fun story. When I was living in Geelong,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I remember pulling out of a servo into you know,
- 6:18Speaker 2: the sort of service lane. I guess pulled out of
- 6:20Speaker 2: a servo into the surface lane and dude sped right
- 6:24Speaker 2: past me. He was just like dodging traffic in the
- 6:26Speaker 2: service lane. So I beeped him. And at the time
- 6:29Speaker 2: I was in Oh, I was in my daddo two
- 6:34Speaker 2: sixties ed. This guy literally foot on the brake, smoke everywhere,
- 6:39Speaker 2: ran out of his car to my car with a
- 6:42Speaker 2: crowbar and started like pointing to the bonnet. And I'm like, please, please, sir,
- 6:48Speaker 2: please don't. I'm small and meek and I love my car.
- 6:52Speaker 2: What ended up happening good? I woke up in the hospital.
- 6:56Speaker 2: There's still a crowbar hanging out of your head. Yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 2: that's robust in my ass, and a lot of asaline.
- 7:04Speaker 1: No offense to tolong people, but some long people are scary.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Some are present company excluded.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Now. Ah, so, yes, the BMW seven series weird looking.
- 7:15Speaker 2: We should have let's have a quick look at it. Yes,
- 7:18Speaker 2: I'm looking at it right now.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So outside is weird looking, but I tell you what's
- 7:22Speaker 1: not weird looking the interior.
- 7:24Speaker 2: The interior.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yes, so I love what they've done here because they've
- 7:29Speaker 1: got this enormous screen in the second row and the
- 7:32Speaker 1: way they've been able to get away with this. The
- 7:34Speaker 1: screen basically prevents your rear vision out of the car,
- 7:37Speaker 1: but because they're using digital mirrors, it means that you
- 7:40Speaker 1: can just see out the back with that whole thing
- 7:43Speaker 1: in your way.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So it is really pushing the game. Weirdest thing ever.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pushing the game forward. Though when you think
- 7:49Speaker 1: that this is going to be used as a limousine.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Most of the seven series sales are in China, so
- 7:54Speaker 1: that is the biggest market for this car. The Chinese
- 7:56Speaker 1: love the ability to basically be in the second row
- 8:00Speaker 1: of their vehicle, so this is where that whole thing
- 8:02Speaker 1: comes from. They've got screens inside the rear passenger doors,
- 8:07Speaker 1: amazing wood grain. They've got that same glass set up
- 8:10Speaker 1: they had in the IX.
- 8:11Speaker 2: As well, So this be the seventh series would traditionally
- 8:15Speaker 2: you'd probably find at an airport, yes, or an executive
- 8:19Speaker 2: of some description. God, that is polarizing, isn't it. Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: But just have a look at the interior. I think
- 8:24Speaker 2: literally the outside is the worst part.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And then and also you probably don't care because you'll
- 8:29Speaker 1: be inside, either in the front row or the second row.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But they've also launched the I.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Seven, which is the I Guess Electric version of the
- 8:38Speaker 1: seven series, and it is loaded with all of the
- 8:41Speaker 1: good stuff. It is huge as well in terms of
- 8:43Speaker 1: its size. It's almost like five point four meters long,
- 8:46Speaker 1: so longer than a ranger.
- 8:47Speaker 2: The Man of screen working this thing on the arm
- 8:50Speaker 2: ress and all sorts, so it's incredible. The chairs in
- 8:54Speaker 2: the back turn into kind of lounges, like you know,
- 8:56Speaker 2: you can flip them back and almost get a tan
- 8:58Speaker 2: from the summer.
- 9:00Speaker 1: In terms of the engines, it starts off with the
- 9:01Speaker 1: seven thirty five, which is a three leater turbo six
- 9:04Speaker 1: great engine used in the Supra, and then it goes
- 9:07Speaker 1: all the way to the I seven X drive sixty,
- 9:10Speaker 1: which is their electric version one hundred and two kilowatt
- 9:14Speaker 1: hour battery. So it's a big battery, which means driving
- 9:17Speaker 1: range for up to six hundred and twenty five k's.
- 9:19Speaker 1: It'll do zero to one hundred and under five seconds
- 9:21Speaker 1: with that electric drive train as well, or will drive
- 9:25Speaker 1: four hundred kilowatts seven hundred and forty five newton meters.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So it is really cool and I think that BMW
- 9:31Speaker 1: has bet the rest of its competitors to the market
- 9:33Speaker 1: with this. And to think that Mercedes Benz is still
- 9:35Speaker 1: producing a may bark that it doesn't have any electric propulsion,
- 9:40Speaker 1: I think BMW has really bet.
- 9:42Speaker 2: A lot of these guys to the game. These guys
- 9:44Speaker 2: traditionally had a V twelve in them at one point,
- 9:46Speaker 2: didn't they.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah, V twelve's dead, so BMW announced that they're not
- 9:49Speaker 1: doing that anymore. So, And did you see in the
- 9:51Speaker 1: in the interior picture as well, the screens in the
- 9:54Speaker 1: back fold into the roof so you can see them
- 9:56Speaker 1: shot there with the.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Fold out lounge.
- 9:58Speaker 1: By the way, if you're listening to this you want
- 9:59Speaker 1: to see what this looks like, if you head to
- 10:00Speaker 1: car expert dot com today you and just search BMW
- 10:03Speaker 1: I seven you'll see the pictures there.
- 10:05Speaker 2: But maybe something on Drive Show Socials. Thanks thanks for
- 10:08Speaker 2: the blug broight. It does look incredible. Hey, while we're
- 10:13Speaker 2: on this, what's your take on screens being used as
- 10:17Speaker 2: revision mirrors and side mirrors? No? No, right, what what
- 10:21Speaker 2: a stupid idea? Yeah, look, it sounds such a bougie
- 10:25Speaker 2: ridiculous thing. Like, it sounds cool in theory, right, but
- 10:29Speaker 2: when you're using it, it's so much better to use
- 10:31Speaker 2: a mirror like real life.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Well, the other thing with the mirror as well, is
- 10:36Speaker 1: when you move your head you get different perspective, whereas
- 10:38Speaker 1: with a screen, no matter how much you move your head,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you're seeing the same image. And I tested it recently
- 10:43Speaker 1: in the Audietron, and I found it really distracting, very bad.
- 10:47Speaker 2: At night time.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And the ironic part is that they use those slim
- 10:51Speaker 1: line mirrors for arrow so you save sort of electricity
- 10:55Speaker 1: because you're not having to push the car as much
- 10:57Speaker 1: through the wind, But then you have to use electricity
- 10:59Speaker 1: to the camera and then also the screen, so it's
- 11:03Speaker 1: like it.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Cancels each other out. Yeah, surely. And can you imagine
- 11:07Speaker 2: in a car park someone nudging that, It's like, oh,
- 11:10Speaker 2: we'll replace that for you. That'll just be eighteen thousand dollars. Yeah,
- 11:14Speaker 2: what used to be something like you could kind of
- 11:15Speaker 2: bend back into shape annoyingly. Yeah, oh, someone's har me.
- 11:20Speaker 2: This is like, oh, someone's literally just killed off a
- 11:24Speaker 2: camera on my car. Yeah, I'll have to wait for
- 11:26Speaker 2: the factory in China to make some semiconductors. One mirror
- 11:30Speaker 2: will be like a normal mirror and the other will
- 11:32Speaker 2: be a computer. Yeah. Ah, r out, it's not good.
- 11:36Speaker 2: So I don't know. I have that trend dies quietly
- 11:38Speaker 2: saying do you know what trend? I have? Dies quietly?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Rivers fashion? That would be nice. I don't stop at
- 11:46Speaker 2: rivers all right, mate, Calm your little bloody rivers farm
- 11:50Speaker 2: in the Tesla in the plaid for instance. Yeah, what
- 11:53Speaker 2: do they call that, the yoke? The yoke? Yeah, the
- 11:55Speaker 2: yolk can die a horrible death. Definitely.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Did you see Toyota and Lexus have launched their evs
- 12:00Speaker 1: now with the option of a yoke. It is the
- 12:02Speaker 1: dumbest thing. I looked at an Edmund's social media clip
- 12:05Speaker 1: the other day. They were driving a Lucid, the big
- 12:08Speaker 1: electric car over there, and a Tesla model ast around
- 12:10Speaker 1: a track and every time they went to turn, the
- 12:13Speaker 1: guy almost lost control.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Because I think they're dangerous. It's so dumb.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Look, it's fine for if you drive on a highway,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but if you need to do U turns if you
- 12:21Speaker 1: need to If you want to drive your car on
- 12:23Speaker 1: a track, it's a fast car, it's designed to do that.
- 12:25Speaker 1: You can get a track package. The yoke is the
- 12:27Speaker 1: dumbest thing in the world because any track that has
- 12:30Speaker 1: a sizable turn, you will need to just not use
- 12:34Speaker 1: your car.
- 12:35Speaker 2: If you're wondering it, basically, yog is I guess something
- 12:37Speaker 2: a steering wheel that you would find for the pit
- 12:39Speaker 2: of of a cockpit of an F one or a
- 12:41Speaker 2: bloody fighter pilot's steering wheel yeah, you know what I mean.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's so stupid, and those none of those vehicles have
- 12:49Speaker 1: any turn requirements that are beyond one turn, so.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Especially if you're looking at the power in a Tesla plaid, Oh,
- 12:58Speaker 2: that's kind of dangerous. Yeah, a neglige.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It the other crazy thing as well, with stability control.
- 13:04Speaker 1: A lot of people don't know this, but with stability control,
- 13:06Speaker 1: if you lose control of the vehicle, if you keep
- 13:09Speaker 1: the steering wheel at dead center, stability control won't do anything.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It only activates when it knows that the direction of
- 13:16Speaker 1: your steering is going contrary to the direction of the car.
- 13:19Speaker 1: So in that instance where the steering wheel doesn't really
- 13:22Speaker 1: turn all that much, if you lose grip of the
- 13:24Speaker 1: wheel and it stays dead ahead, just career into something.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So it's just such a stupid system. There's actually a
- 13:32Speaker 1: lot of Tesla stuff at the moment that's just irritating me.
- 13:34Speaker 1: They've got a setup with their cars where they're removing
- 13:37Speaker 1: all of the auxiliary senses, so radars go on. They've
- 13:40Speaker 1: committed to not using light r so their cars are
- 13:42Speaker 1: now driven entirely on cameras, which is great, except every
- 13:47Speaker 1: camera I've ever used the second you go from dark
- 13:50Speaker 1: to light, it has a moment where it can't see
- 13:52Speaker 1: anything because it has to adjust its exposure. There's been
- 13:55Speaker 1: countless incidents now where with this full self driving beta
- 13:59Speaker 1: that they're using, where cars are veering into stationary objects
- 14:02Speaker 1: and hitting things that they shouldn't be hitting. There was
- 14:05Speaker 1: one clip yesterday that I shared on Twitter where a
- 14:07Speaker 1: bloken a Model three that was on autopilot changed lanes
- 14:12Speaker 1: into a lane where a truck had rolled over. He
- 14:14Speaker 1: disengaged autopilot and then smashed into this truck that was
- 14:19Speaker 1: in the lane that had rolled over because the car
- 14:21Speaker 1: couldn't see it. Now, a car that's using radar or
- 14:24Speaker 1: lighter is able to detect this stuff in the distance
- 14:27Speaker 1: and is able to then slow down accordingly. So I
- 14:30Speaker 1: just think that this technology is undercooked and stuff like
- 14:34Speaker 1: the yolk, it's just there for fun and it just
- 14:36Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent agree. I think it's a lot
- 14:39Speaker 2: of it's there for a wow and cool factor, and
- 14:41Speaker 2: they're putting that almost to market far too early. Yeah, look,
- 14:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I think that I love that Tesla's innovating and forcing
- 14:49Speaker 1: others to innovate, but the technology. I think they're not
- 14:52Speaker 1: admitting that it's not working. And they've been talking about
- 14:55Speaker 1: this working now for five years and it's just never
- 14:59Speaker 1: really worked the way they want to to work.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So speaking of Tesla, I guess they've done an iPhone
- 15:04Speaker 2: where iPhone we're dropping the charging cables to save quote
- 15:08Speaker 2: the planet, and now Tesla dropping their charging cables of
- 15:12Speaker 2: their cars. It's so dumb.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I know where it sounds like we're ripping into Tesla
- 15:17Speaker 1: this episode.
- 15:18Speaker 2: But we should do actually speaking which we will be
- 15:21Speaker 2: doing a Tesla special. I reckon we'll have to.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So they're announcing that it's between two and four hundred
- 15:27Speaker 1: US dollars as far as I can tell, to get
- 15:29Speaker 1: a charger with your car, and according to Elon Musk
- 15:32Speaker 1: on Twitter, usage statistics were super low, so it seemed
- 15:35Speaker 1: wasteful to include it. Well, that's dumb because if you
- 15:39Speaker 1: see that the usage statistics are low, that's because most
- 15:42Speaker 1: people charge at home. I've used our mobile charger probably
- 15:45Speaker 1: three or four times, and the times that I've used it,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I've needed it because the place I've gone to hasn't
- 15:50Speaker 1: had a charger. So what do you want me to
- 15:52Speaker 1: do when I get there just stand around and hope
- 15:54Speaker 1: that the car charges through osmosis.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Or something whiless charging. Yeah, So it's just they make
- 16:00Speaker 2: such stupid things.
- 16:01Speaker 1: And another thing they deleted recently was lumbar support for
- 16:05Speaker 1: the passenger again because usage showed that it was low.
- 16:09Speaker 1: It's like, obviously when you sit in the seat, you
- 16:11Speaker 1: said at once you don't adjust it fifteen times per drive,
- 16:15Speaker 1: So now that you can't adjust it, it's like, of
- 16:18Speaker 1: course usage is low.
- 16:19Speaker 2: You know, it's interesting. They're literally going by data that
- 16:22Speaker 2: they've been able to capture of your.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Car, but it's poor data. It's like, well, your airbag's
- 16:27Speaker 1: really used, we're going to remove that. I mean, wheels
- 16:30Speaker 1: don't wheels aren't used while the car stationary?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Do we just remove those? Ye? Cars park?
- 16:34Speaker 1: I mean it's just getting to the point now where
- 16:36Speaker 1: they're just their penny pinching and it's getting a little embarrassing.
- 16:40Speaker 1: They really need to stop around with the formula.
- 16:43Speaker 2: What is your take on buying a second hand Tesla?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Because I saw one market and I was like, ah,
- 16:48Speaker 2: it's not bad. I looked on the inside. Honestly, I
- 16:50Speaker 2: don't reckon the interiors of these ages that well, there's
- 16:54Speaker 2: something about it feels like the way Americans treat their leather.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I get it. In a lot of American cars, it
- 17:01Speaker 2: tends to look crunchy after a while. Yeah, it just
- 17:05Speaker 2: tends to just look I don't think it's meant to.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I think that some of their earlier cars had issues
- 17:09Speaker 1: with crunchiness. But as for example, when we sold ours,
- 17:13Speaker 1: it had the white interior and it looked brand new,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and you could wipe it down with it because it's
- 17:18Speaker 1: not leather, so it means you can use chemicals and
- 17:20Speaker 1: other stuff on it, whereas with leather there's only a
- 17:22Speaker 1: certain amount of things you can do to it. So
- 17:25Speaker 1: ours looked okay after two years. But my concern with
- 17:28Speaker 1: buying any electric car secondhand is that you're buying outdated technology.
- 17:32Speaker 1: So you don't want to be left holding the bag
- 17:34Speaker 1: when they finally figure out solded state batteries and you've
- 17:37Speaker 1: got a car that has a declining battery capacity that
- 17:40Speaker 1: you're going to have to do something with.
- 17:41Speaker 2: But I mean there'd be software updates, so it would
- 17:43Speaker 2: be that would still be able to accommodate a lot
- 17:45Speaker 2: of those cars though still right, I guess.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Software updates, yes, But the problem is your battery capacity.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Once it starts degrading, you don't get that back, no,
- 17:53Speaker 1: So you know, the more you fast charge it, the
- 17:55Speaker 1: more it degrades. So yeah, look, I mean, obviously the
- 17:59Speaker 1: prices will come down after this whole semiconductor thing, but yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I am more a fan, especially with electric cars having
- 18:05Speaker 1: the most modern technology. If you look at internal combustion cars,
- 18:09Speaker 1: sure you might get a little bit of extra efficiency
- 18:10Speaker 1: every now and then, but they don't fundamentally change the formula,
- 18:13Speaker 1: whereas electric cars are constantly evolving and I think quickly
- 18:17Speaker 1: too and quickly. Yeah, they're tipping so much money into it,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and they are very expensive at the moment, So yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I think that that's something we need to take into
- 18:25Speaker 1: account as well.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It would be interesting if you could recondition your car
- 18:29Speaker 2: like EV like you can pretty much recondition an iPhone
- 18:32Speaker 2: or phone.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Eventually we'll get to that, because the battery cells in
- 18:35Speaker 1: these vehicles are all clumped together, and in theory, you
- 18:39Speaker 1: should be able to swap them out for a new battery.
- 18:41Speaker 1: If that happens, then you could have effectively infinite life
- 18:44Speaker 1: out of your EV. It's kind of like reconditioning a car,
- 18:47Speaker 1: except you have a whole lot less moving parts. A
- 18:50Speaker 1: battery is an easier thing to replace. So eventually, when
- 18:53Speaker 1: the world, you know, unfix itself and we're in a
- 18:57Speaker 1: better position with things, then I think that could be
- 19:01Speaker 1: a future that we see.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I think it'll have to I mean, I think Pressura
- 19:04Speaker 2: will mount up. I mean, if you've got an EV
- 19:06Speaker 2: that's over five years old, and that's gonna happen, you know,
- 19:09Speaker 2: when the e waste kind of built up, generally we're like,
- 19:12Speaker 2: look at all these shitty old mobile phones. Just put
- 19:15Speaker 2: them in this thing at there's been at the servo
- 19:17Speaker 2: when we'll give them to poor people in Africa. Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 2: there's going to have to be this. I mean, shit,
- 19:23Speaker 2: when you're talking cars, it's a big deal. You know
- 19:26Speaker 2: where they wind up.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I did a couple of trips to India and it
- 19:30Speaker 1: was very depressing to see kids melting plastic cables to
- 19:36Speaker 1: expose the copper that they can then go and sell. Yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 1: a lot of that stuff and ethically gets sent over
- 19:41Speaker 1: to third world countries so that kids can inhale toxic
- 19:45Speaker 1: fumes to go earn someone a bit of money.
- 19:47Speaker 2: So ye, anyway, anyway, thanks different for putting a bit
- 19:51Speaker 2: of a positive spin on the body. Thank you, hey,
- 19:55Speaker 2: charge Fox. This is big. We're still on EV's and
- 19:57Speaker 2: we're still sitting over EV's at the moment, but it
- 19:59Speaker 2: needs to happen. Charge Fox they basically own all the charging,
- 20:04Speaker 2: the charging network across Auscharlitia.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Right, Australia's biggest charging network. So there are other providers,
- 20:09Speaker 1: but these guys are the biggest.
- 20:10Speaker 2: They're topping up their prices by fifty percent.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so on their three hundred and fifty Kilowa charges,
- 20:15Speaker 1: the prices that you pay for electricity there are going
- 20:20Speaker 1: up by fifty percent. Now, if you've got your last
- 20:22Speaker 1: electricity bill, it didn't go up by fifty percent. So
- 20:25Speaker 1: these guys have artificially increased the prices here.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Now, it's not an issue. It is a business. So
- 20:30Speaker 2: you've got to make money.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And if it's by increasing your prices by fifty percent,
- 20:34Speaker 1: that's fine.
- 20:34Speaker 2: That's massive though in Jump, but there's two big issues
- 20:37Speaker 2: I have.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Number One, A lot of the time their network isn't working,
- 20:41Speaker 1: so a few of the times I've been to their
- 20:43Speaker 1: charges they've been faulty, so I've had to wait for
- 20:45Speaker 1: other people to leave to actually use a.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Charger, say six available, and two of the six could
- 20:50Speaker 2: be working.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yep, exactly, and that's obviously not their fault. They're using
- 20:55Speaker 1: third party hardware, but they're not fixing it, and often
- 20:58Speaker 1: it'll be down for weeks or months before actually get
- 21:00Speaker 1: it sorted. Second part is that there is a huge
- 21:03Speaker 1: government investment. It's in the millions, if not tens of
- 21:05Speaker 1: millions of dollars. So you're telling me that me as
- 21:09Speaker 1: a taxpayer, I'm helping fund your EV network while you
- 21:12Speaker 1: guys go and jack your prices up by fifty percent.
- 21:15Speaker 2: And won't up keep as well? Yeah, and won't up keep.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It's like, I don't think so, So I think I
- 21:20Speaker 1: don't know if the government's aware of this.
- 21:22Speaker 2: But whoever's funding.
- 21:23Speaker 1: This, it's a broad group of investors that includes the government,
- 21:28Speaker 1: there are private investors as well. It just puts a
- 21:31Speaker 1: bad taste in your mouth. This early in the development
- 21:34Speaker 1: of evs, it doesn't make any sense. And the other
- 21:36Speaker 1: thing that I find very bizarre, they spent a lot
- 21:39Speaker 1: of time harping on it. At one of their sites.
- 21:41Speaker 1: You roa where it's entirely solar powered. Solar power charges
- 21:44Speaker 1: batteries on the site. The batteries then charge your car.
- 21:47Speaker 1: So it means that they rarely have to go to
- 21:49Speaker 1: the network to pull electricity. So why am I paying
- 21:52Speaker 1: fifty percent extra there when doesn't actually cost you anything.
- 21:56Speaker 2: This is clearly like a bunch of people sitting around
- 21:59Speaker 2: a boor and making this decision. It does like it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Yeah, with the uptake of EV's at the moment, it
- 22:05Speaker 1: seems very strange that they would be jumping to jack
- 22:07Speaker 1: prices up, and then, on top of that, if your
- 22:10Speaker 1: network is as bad as it is, get it fixed
- 22:13Speaker 1: before you put your prices up. It just makes no
- 22:15Speaker 1: sense to me why they're doing this.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I feel like they've almost gone Hey, the popularity of
- 22:19Speaker 2: evs is growing more than faster than we first imagined.
- 22:24Speaker 2: We need to jack these up while we can. The
- 22:27Speaker 2: less people that know about it the better. While it's
- 22:30Speaker 2: still low, especially when they're dealing with federal cash, a
- 22:33Speaker 2: federal cash allowance. It's beyond shitty. It's kind of it's shifty.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing I also found strange. So we
- 22:41Speaker 1: run a story on this because I got sent an email.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I subscribe to their network, we use it when we
- 22:46Speaker 1: charge and all that sort of stuff.
- 22:48Speaker 2: So I got the email and then we run a
- 22:50Speaker 2: story based on the email. Now one of our old.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Site, Car Advice, which is now Drive, they basically ran
- 22:59Speaker 1: the story, except in their story they obviously copied ours
- 23:05Speaker 1: because they didn't have that information, but they contacted charge
- 23:08Speaker 1: Fox for a comment, and charge Fox wouldn't supply a comment.
- 23:11Speaker 2: So it really just amuses.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Me how you're jacking up your prices and then you're
- 23:16Speaker 1: refusing to talk about it for whatever reason.
- 23:19Speaker 2: So I don't know, it just doesn't feel great. The
- 23:22Speaker 2: other thing as well, that I'll point out at this
- 23:24Speaker 2: stage is that Tesla with their superchargers, their supercharger network
- 23:29Speaker 2: is basically faultless. Every time I've gone to use a supercharger,
- 23:32Speaker 2: it's worked perfectly.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Fine, and then when they haven't, you know about it
- 23:35Speaker 1: through the car before you actually get there, so you
- 23:37Speaker 1: don't waste your time getting there and figuring out that
- 23:40Speaker 1: it's not working. So it really is just a case
- 23:42Speaker 1: of needing to spend more effort on fixing their network,
- 23:45Speaker 1: getting it all working, and making sure that you know
- 23:48Speaker 1: you are jacking prices up when required, not just because
- 23:50Speaker 1: you feel like it.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Should we talk Polster too, Yeah, let's do it usually
- 23:55Speaker 2: do yes? Yes? Now I should say you lucky enough
- 24:00Speaker 2: to drive one of these, and I'm going to just
- 24:02Speaker 2: sit back, get my pie out of the microwave because
- 24:05Speaker 2: I was not able to jump in one of these
- 24:07Speaker 2: at all. Thank you Polster Marketing, who I don't know
- 24:13Speaker 2: if they even exist. By the way, before we begin,
- 24:15Speaker 2: Pollster sounds like something from a strip club. That's what
- 24:20Speaker 2: I thought.
- 24:20Speaker 1: If you put a space between Pollard stars, it's like.
- 24:25Speaker 2: That dance Dance Revolution in Time Zone. You know that
- 24:27Speaker 2: one where the little kids trying to dance on the
- 24:31Speaker 2: lights on the floor. This is like the pole dancing version,
- 24:34Speaker 2: but electric. The Polestar too. Prices start from sixty three
- 24:39Speaker 2: nine hundred dollars for the standard range single motor to
- 24:42Speaker 2: seventy three four hundred dollars for the long range duel motor. Yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 2: I find it really odd.
- 24:46Speaker 1: So the Polestar two is a Tesla Model three sized
- 24:49Speaker 1: ev It competes with the Model three in terms of
- 24:51Speaker 1: pricing and all that sort of stuff.
- 24:53Speaker 2: But if you go to the Pollstar website in Australia.
- 24:55Speaker 1: And try and configure one, it says due to high demand,
- 24:58Speaker 1: we're currently closed for your orders. Pre configured cars may
- 25:01Speaker 1: still be available. Should you wish to be contacted when
- 25:04Speaker 1: orders reopen, please leave your details. I just want to
- 25:07Speaker 1: see how much it costs. You know, you can't even
- 25:09Speaker 1: get basic information. And I think it's such a bizarre strategy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: What is to stop some unjust figuring out how much
- 25:14Speaker 1: the car costs so they can go and do their things.
- 25:16Speaker 2: So it's odd. It's like, uh, we're really inundated. We're
- 25:21Speaker 2: just going to close shop. Yes, that's literally what it's done.
- 25:24Speaker 2: We're closed up. You can't do test drives, you can't
- 25:26Speaker 2: go into a dealer and even look at one of these.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You can't even see what it looks like on a computer.
- 25:30Speaker 2: We're just we're cooked. We're done.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Gearly bought Volvo. Gearly as a Chinese car brand. They
- 25:35Speaker 1: bought Volvo, Volvo started Polestar. Polestar has been ipo'd, so
- 25:42Speaker 1: it is its own entity on the stock market, and
- 25:46Speaker 1: that means that it has its own sort of profit loss,
- 25:49Speaker 1: all of that sort of stuff. It's basically their EV
- 25:53Speaker 1: division two right, yeah, exactly, So it is all all
- 25:56Speaker 1: just all just evs.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Now. The interesting thing with Polestar.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Being all evs is that you would think that they
- 26:04Speaker 1: would develop an EV chassis and all this sort of stuff.
- 26:07Speaker 1: But the Polestar too, which is the Model three competitor,
- 26:10Speaker 1: is actually based on the XC forty, which is an
- 26:12Speaker 1: internal combustion car, So they both share a platform there,
- 26:15Speaker 1: which means it's not quite an EV from the ground up,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and you can kind of tell when you hop inside it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: It's got this huge drive line hump that shouldn't exist
- 26:23Speaker 1: for an EV and all that kind of thing. But
- 26:26Speaker 1: they do offer three different variants, starting off from fifty
- 26:29Speaker 1: nine nine hundred and I testro the sixty four, nine
- 26:33Speaker 1: hundred dollars one, which is the long range single motor.
- 26:36Speaker 2: It's a real will drive. It's a punchy little thing.
- 26:39Speaker 2: It's fun to drive. One hundred and seventy kilowatts of
- 26:41Speaker 2: power three hundred and thirty meters of talk and it'll
- 26:43Speaker 2: do zero to one hundred and about seven and a
- 26:45Speaker 2: half seconds. The problem is how bad figure is the average?
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah, look, the problem is more just the options. So
- 26:53Speaker 1: basic features like adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert,
- 26:59Speaker 1: eruptional so you have to get them as part of
- 27:01Speaker 1: this three thousand, four hundred dollars package. If you then
- 27:04Speaker 1: want to have a few extra bells and whistles. There's
- 27:06Speaker 1: another six thousand dollars package that adds like a fancy stereo,
- 27:10Speaker 1: heated rear seats, and proof. Yeah, it's a lot of money,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and with this stuff, I just really don't understand why
- 27:17Speaker 1: you come in with a low entry price and then
- 27:19Speaker 1: have these expensive packages that you have to tick to
- 27:21Speaker 1: actually get access to a car.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Generally, when I've stepped into an EV, like whether it
- 27:26Speaker 2: be the cheap one or the top of the range,
- 27:30Speaker 2: you almost just automatically want to shell out for top
- 27:32Speaker 2: of the range, you know what I mean. It feels
- 27:35Speaker 2: like it should feel like everything is just put together
- 27:38Speaker 2: the way they wanted it to, rather than go let's
- 27:41Speaker 2: cut back and cut back and put like the basic
- 27:43Speaker 2: sort of features which you'll probably get in a basic
- 27:46Speaker 2: combustion car. You know it Just I feel like at
- 27:49Speaker 2: this point, if you're going to go for an EV,
- 27:51Speaker 2: go for the best one you can afford. Well, look,
- 27:53Speaker 2: this is the thing, this had some features that you
- 27:55Speaker 2: would like.
- 27:56Speaker 1: So as part of a six thousand dollars plus pack
- 27:58Speaker 1: that ours had, it had the vegan postry. So I
- 28:01Speaker 1: know that you you're quite a proponent of that.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I've been saying no to your leather clad river's shoes
- 28:08Speaker 2: for a long time. Do you know how the cows
- 28:12Speaker 2: that died for your Swede river shoes are probably crying
- 28:16Speaker 2: in their graves? Well, I probably ate them before I
- 28:20Speaker 2: wore them as well. We probably cooked them on your
- 28:21Speaker 2: bloody electric barbie. And then that's it. The slip the
- 28:25Speaker 2: slippers on. Now.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I will point out as well that inside the cabin
- 28:29Speaker 1: they've gone a bit of a unique approach with the
- 28:31Speaker 1: infotainment system.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Eleven point two inch, so really nice and easy to use.
- 28:34Speaker 2: But it runs on what they call Android.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Automotive, which is basically a Google based infotainment system. So
- 28:43Speaker 1: it has Google Maps and all that sort of stuff.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You can add apps from the Google Play Store. It's
- 28:47Speaker 1: quite an intuitive system, very easy to use, and I
- 28:49Speaker 1: thought it was a really cool feature that comes with this.
- 28:51Speaker 2: So they are working on a.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Full EV platform that will move them on to that
- 28:56Speaker 1: sort of next era of full EV's, so I'm keen
- 28:59Speaker 1: to see what that's like. They also do the Pollstar one,
- 29:01Speaker 1: which is like a sports car. It's like a hybrid
- 29:03Speaker 1: type thing that is that is pretty cool as well.
- 29:07Speaker 1: So yeah, look, I don't know I think that it's
- 29:10Speaker 1: an interesting brand, interesting to watch because they're made in China.
- 29:13Speaker 1: They they have less stock issues like Tesla, but as
- 29:17Speaker 1: you can see, I mean on their website, they're already
- 29:19Speaker 1: having issues getting actual stock.
- 29:21Speaker 2: They are properly crashed. Yeah. Yeah, I quite like the interior.
- 29:24Speaker 2: The interior looks really smart, really really forward thinking. Generally,
- 29:28Speaker 2: there's a few it's weird. We own a XC forty
- 29:31Speaker 2: at home, and it shares a lot of little bits
- 29:33Speaker 2: and pieces, yes, from the door handles to the conditioning
- 29:37Speaker 2: outlets and even the even the screen kind of looks
- 29:41Speaker 2: like it's possibly the same sort of part as well. Yeah. Look,
- 29:44Speaker 2: I think generally like it's a smart, tidy looking car. Yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 2: good to drive as well. The ride's great.
- 29:51Speaker 1: It sort of does all the EV stuff pretty well.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So yeah, look it's nice. So yeah, would you buy
- 29:57Speaker 1: it over a Model three? Model three is more efficient.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Because it's lighter.
- 30:01Speaker 1: This ways two thousand kilos in the midspec, which is
- 30:04Speaker 1: pretty heavy. So yeah, look, I think that it's it's nice,
- 30:08Speaker 1: but there are some things that they can improve, and
- 30:10Speaker 1: I think that's stuff that they're working on at the moment.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think if you were comparing this to
- 30:15Speaker 2: a Model three. Go the Model three because you've got
- 30:17Speaker 2: the Tesla network, the Tesla super Network, supercharger network. Right,
- 30:23Speaker 2: it makes a hell of a lot of sense, just
- 30:25Speaker 2: with the fact that you can't even you can't even
- 30:28Speaker 2: book a test drive. You can't see this car physically.
- 30:30Speaker 2: You can't even see this car online. I guess one's
- 30:33Speaker 2: a shortlist for now, right, Yeah, for the moment.
- 30:35Speaker 1: If you can fight one to test drive, give it
- 30:37Speaker 1: a shot. Or if you can find out how to
- 30:39Speaker 1: order one, give that a shot as well. But yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 1: it just seems odd to me just having a look
- 30:44Speaker 1: at their website now, I'm just seeing on a hold on,
- 30:46Speaker 1: they have booked your test drive.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Let me just see do with that.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Let me see what happens. So okay, and then select
- 30:55Speaker 1: a date and time. Let's go fifth of May. Yes,
- 30:58Speaker 1: I can do that.
- 31:00Speaker 2: When I type in Gordy, it says no, you're not
- 31:02Speaker 2: allowed to do that, right. Let me just read the
- 31:03Speaker 2: email like, thank you, thank you, Gordon, thank you Paul.
- 31:09Speaker 2: This has tended. And if you've just joined the program,
- 31:12Speaker 2: it's the Gordon and Paul talking or a bild program.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Oh that dickhead Daniel who doesn't like my sense of humor.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Maybe he'd like the Gordon and Paul program. I hope
- 31:21Speaker 2: you're listening, Daniel. I still remember you. I'm reading my
- 31:24Speaker 2: email I tried to organize after getting the test drive
- 31:26Speaker 2: and all that. Thank you for showing interest in the
- 31:28Speaker 2: Polster to test drive. Hello Gordon, thank you for requesting
- 31:32Speaker 2: to test drive Polster two. There are currently no test
- 31:35Speaker 2: drive events available, but we are working on it and
- 31:38Speaker 2: we'll get in touch as soon as new dates are revealed.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Even did you click on the thing? Did it give
- 31:43Speaker 2: you a time to book it? No, didn't even give
- 31:46Speaker 2: me that. Did you try Sydney or Melbourne? Probably Melbourne's
- 31:50Speaker 2: giving me date this confirm my subscription. Whatever, it's giving
- 31:53Speaker 2: me dates and times for an hour test drive? Okay,
- 31:55Speaker 2: well should we wrap this show up? Yes? Please you
- 32:00Speaker 2: I want to go all right now. I did have
- 32:04Speaker 2: I promise this guy. I'd read it last week and
- 32:06Speaker 2: we still haven't sort of read it. Go and read it. Well,
- 32:09Speaker 2: it's going to take us a while. Quick email. And
- 32:11Speaker 2: by the way, I think we've got some good reviews
- 32:12Speaker 2: this week too, which is nice. Please like, subscribe, share,
- 32:15Speaker 2: we love it. A big shout out to Dom. Thank
- 32:18Speaker 2: you Dom for your email. Thank you for sliding into
- 32:20Speaker 2: our DMS. What have we got from Dom? Dom's making
- 32:24Speaker 2: some fun stuff here. Assume Australia could allow any car,
- 32:28Speaker 2: So basically assume that Australia could let in a car
- 32:32Speaker 2: from the global market. Yes, say the Ford Bronco Yes,
- 32:36Speaker 2: which I think is now Is that actually coming out? No,
- 32:38Speaker 2: it's definitely not. So assume we could allow any car
- 32:42Speaker 2: in from the global market. What would you let in
- 32:45Speaker 2: the Ford Bronco raptor Oh pretty much?
- 32:48Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, I agree with you on that. Actually,
- 32:50Speaker 1: that would be so cool to have here. They're bringing
- 32:52Speaker 1: the f one fifty, so the've answered that one. But yeah,
- 32:54Speaker 1: I think Ford Bronco would be amazing to have here.
- 32:56Speaker 1: That would be sweet. And the Rivian.
- 32:59Speaker 2: It's weird that if one fifty is coming in because
- 33:01Speaker 2: we talked about this and you know how much I
- 33:02Speaker 2: love those cars, and it was just going to be
- 33:05Speaker 2: an absolute, not definite no go. But the fact that
- 33:08Speaker 2: the fact that they're making it right hand drive and
- 33:11Speaker 2: they're putting it through all that sort of stuff, to me,
- 33:13Speaker 2: it feels like it shouldn't be too hard to do
- 33:15Speaker 2: that with the Bronco as well.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Absolutely, it shares a platform with the Ranger, so it
- 33:18Speaker 1: makes perfect sense. I think they're doing a sucket and
- 33:20Speaker 1: C with the F one fifty if that works.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Sorry or what what is that? A sucking in C?
- 33:27Speaker 2: You tell me?
- 33:28Speaker 1: But yeah, when if the F one fifty works, which
- 33:30Speaker 1: it will, I think they'll do the Bronco next.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Definitely sucond and C. Sorry, I don't know what you've
- 33:39Speaker 2: got up to on Saturday night. I guess it's a
- 33:41Speaker 2: second and C sucket while it's soft. What okay, real quick.
- 33:45Speaker 2: This is a great question and I want to spend
- 33:47Speaker 2: heaps of time on it, but we don't have time
- 33:49Speaker 2: build a car. Basic premise of this is, oh, this
- 33:52Speaker 2: is basically something we would have done when we were
- 33:54Speaker 2: bloody twelve, right, Not a sacond in C. It's a
- 33:58Speaker 2: literally build your own car so you he says, I'm
- 34:01Speaker 2: going to have five liters V eight from a Mustang
- 34:05Speaker 2: in the body of a Zuzuki Jymney and the tech
- 34:07Speaker 2: of a Model three. Wow, okay, that'd be interesting. Wouldn't
- 34:12Speaker 2: be slow anymore? No, they wouldn't be a Jymney.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I'd love to see a Model three with an air
- 34:18Speaker 1: less three engine in.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It really just forget yours? Why not? Yeah, I don't know, Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 2: I don't know. That's that's a really hard one. That's
- 34:29Speaker 2: a good one. Can tell you what. Let's think about this, okay,
- 34:32Speaker 2: and let's come back with our ideas next episode. But
- 34:36Speaker 2: Dom has a good one, hits with a great one.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Basically build a dream car from bits and pieces. I
- 34:42Speaker 2: like it. Well, if you like this program, the Gordon
- 34:46Speaker 2: and Paul program, please leave a rating. We would appreciate
- 34:49Speaker 2: it rating five star. Like share, Tell your friends, Tell
- 34:53Speaker 2: your mum. I know Paul would appreciate that. He's big
- 34:56Speaker 2: with the mums on YouTube. Aren't you speak with the mum?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Grew big, big with the hot mums. That's what you
- 35:03Speaker 2: told me. I'm a big deal in Milfland. He just
- 35:09Speaker 2: got out of his car and he just before he
- 35:12Speaker 2: took his shades off, he said he hold my coffee,
- 35:16Speaker 2: which is a true story, and then he said, I'm
- 35:19Speaker 2: a big and planet milk. Thanks for listening, everyone,
