Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven to ten.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Wo r Hey got a lot to talk about today.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We always give you the best daily briefing anywhere. Get
- 0:14Speaker 2: you caught up on everything, give you the inside story
- 0:17Speaker 2: on everything. Well, we'll get to who's getting sued from
- 0:20Speaker 2: the Grammy Awards last night. We'll get to the Epstein files.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We'll get to Don Lemon, We'll get to Mom Donnie,
- 0:26Speaker 2: We'll get to Andrew Cuomo and a whole lot more
- 0:30Speaker 2: coming up. So where do we even start? Groundhog Day?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Punks at Tony Phil came out and said, six more
- 0:38Speaker 2: weeks of winter. Now, let me make you feel better, punks,
- 0:42Speaker 2: A Tony Phil is always wrong. It's the stupidest phenomenon
- 0:47Speaker 2: in America, the dumbest day of the year. Paying attention
- 0:50Speaker 2: to this little rodent his batting average. He's been right
- 0:55Speaker 2: thirty five percent of the time. Thirty five percent of
- 0:58Speaker 2: the time, which means sixty five percent of the time
- 1:02Speaker 2: he's wrong, So don't take him seriously. The good news
- 1:05Speaker 2: is there's only seven weeks left until spring begins. Seven weeks.
- 1:10Speaker 2: In fact, next week, spring training starts. Pitchers and catchers
- 1:14Speaker 2: and all of that, so you just got seven more
- 1:16Speaker 2: weeks of this. It's going to be a little warmer
- 1:18Speaker 2: this week, but still freezing. If you haven't been into Manhattan,
- 1:21Speaker 2: it looks good. The sidewalks are pretty clear, but there
- 1:24Speaker 2: is garbage piled up everywhere, massive piles of garbage on
- 1:29Speaker 2: the street. They haven't been collecting it for I don't know,
- 1:32Speaker 2: all kinds of reasons, something to do with the snow.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Good news is, I guess if it's absolutely frozen, the
- 1:38Speaker 2: garbage won't smell, won't cause any problems. So hey, the
- 1:44Speaker 2: Milania documentary, by the way, was released. The Milania documentary
- 1:48Speaker 2: was released on Friday, and you read all the left
- 1:50Speaker 2: wing writers telling you how it is a complete bomb,
- 1:53Speaker 2: it wasn't going to do well. Pre ticket sales, that
- 1:56Speaker 2: everything was awful. Well, it turned out to be a
- 1:59Speaker 2: record a weekend for a documentary, about eight million the
- 2:04Speaker 2: first weekend, which is huge. No documentary in the last
- 2:08Speaker 2: decade or two has done that well. So it was
- 2:11Speaker 2: a huge, huge hit. It's open, it's in theaters, go
- 2:14Speaker 2: see it if you want. Don Lemon arrested for invading
- 2:20Speaker 2: and terrorizing and going into that church and stopping and
- 2:25Speaker 2: disrupting the service in there. It's not just Don Lemon,
- 2:27Speaker 2: by the way, They've arrested a number of people in
- 2:29Speaker 2: that mob. In fact, just moments ago another two or
- 2:33Speaker 2: three were arrested. And it's against the law. You cannot
- 2:39Speaker 2: go into a church and try to disrupt the service.
- 2:41Speaker 2: There's specific laws about that. You cannot go into a
- 2:44Speaker 2: church and try to intimidate the people worshiping the service,
- 2:48Speaker 2: or you cannot do anything to disrupt it. The law
- 2:52Speaker 2: actually came about because the klu Klux Klan. That was
- 2:55Speaker 2: something they did, going into black churches and stopping the
- 2:58Speaker 2: service and intimidated everybody in there. It's a specific crime.
- 3:03Speaker 2: You can go to jail for it. Don Lemon has
- 3:05Speaker 2: been arrested for it. Many people have been arrested for it.
- 3:08Speaker 2: If you read the indictment. Because the argument from Lemon
- 3:12Speaker 2: will be I'm a journalist, I was covering it. I'm
- 3:14Speaker 2: just a journalist.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Wow.
- 3:16Speaker 2: There's a couple of arguments there. One is he actually
- 3:18Speaker 2: a journalist. I don't know I you even consider him
- 3:21Speaker 2: a journalist. As Charlie Gasperino points out, this guy has
- 3:25Speaker 2: never ever, ever, ever come out with any kind of story.
- 3:31Speaker 2: He In fact, the record shows he was a horror.
- 3:33Speaker 2: If he was a journalist, he was a horrible journalist.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Never broke a news story in his life. It was
- 3:38Speaker 2: basically a talk show host on CNN and anchor. I
- 3:41Speaker 2: don't know if you call him a journalist. He was
- 3:45Speaker 2: a disaster at CNN, so much so that they fired him.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I don't know if you called that a journalist. But
- 3:50Speaker 2: the other thing is you can't. It's one thing if
- 3:52Speaker 2: you go in there with your microphone and camera covering it,
- 3:54Speaker 2: if you do anything to stop the service or intimidate
- 3:57Speaker 2: anybody in there, you're a criminal. So in the court filing,
- 4:02Speaker 2: it says at one point, defendant Lemon posted himself at
- 4:05Speaker 2: the main door of the church, confronted congregants and physically
- 4:10Speaker 2: obstructed them as they tried to exit the church building
- 4:14Speaker 2: to challenge them with facts about US immigration policy. The
- 4:18Speaker 2: pastor repeatedly asked Lemon to leave the church. So that's
- 4:21Speaker 2: where the crime will be. Now, Remember it wasn't Donald
- 4:25Speaker 2: Trump's decision to indict him. It wasn't anybody in the
- 4:29Speaker 2: Justice Department. I mean, they certainly wanted to, but the
- 4:32Speaker 2: first judge tossed it out, so they sent it to
- 4:34Speaker 2: a grand jury. It was the grand jury that made
- 4:37Speaker 2: the decision. They voted after looking at the evidence, they
- 4:41Speaker 2: voted to indict Don Lemon. Now, if you go to
- 4:44Speaker 2: my Twitter, you'll see some video from a couple of
- 4:46Speaker 2: years ago. It's two left wing, really biased left wing
- 4:50Speaker 2: types of was, Elizabeth Warren and Gail King, and they're saying,
- 4:56Speaker 2: you have to respect the process. If a grand jury
- 4:59Speaker 2: votes to indict, you must respect that process. They were
- 5:02Speaker 2: talking about Trump at the time, but that video is
- 5:05Speaker 2: going to backfire on them. So now, hey, the other
- 5:08Speaker 2: question some people are wondering, well, why were they going
- 5:11Speaker 2: to this church. The church doesn't set immigration policy. What
- 5:15Speaker 2: does the church have to do with it? Well, the
- 5:17Speaker 2: reason they went in there that church. The pastor of
- 5:20Speaker 2: the church, David Easterwood, also serves as acting director for
- 5:26Speaker 2: ICE in the Saint Paul Field office. You know it's
- 5:29Speaker 2: Minneapolis Saint Paul. So the acting director of the ICE
- 5:33Speaker 2: office in Saint Paul is also the pastor of the church.
- 5:37Speaker 2: That's why they targeted him. That's the reason that ICE
- 5:41Speaker 2: officers wear masks. Once you identify these people, the mob
- 5:45Speaker 2: will go terrorize their family, their children at their house.
- 5:49Speaker 2: They'll chase them down everywhere. So hey, by the way,
- 5:53Speaker 2: Don Lemon will be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. The only
- 5:55Speaker 2: reason this might have been a horrible backfire is even
- 5:59Speaker 2: Donald Trump said it. He may actually end up reviving
- 6:03Speaker 2: the career of Don Lemon. Don Lemon, disgraced, fired, couldn't
- 6:08Speaker 2: get a job for the last few years, totally out
- 6:10Speaker 2: of work. Nobody would hire him. This could put him
- 6:14Speaker 2: back on the map. Lemon is all over the place.
- 6:16Speaker 2: He'll be on Kimmel tonight. Here's Lemon.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Yesterday, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents to
- 6:21Speaker 4: arrest me in the middle of the night for something
- 6:23Speaker 4: that I'd been doing for the last thirty years, and
- 6:28Speaker 4: that is covering the news.
- 6:29Speaker 2: The First Amendment of the.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Constitution protects that work for me and for countless of
- 6:34Speaker 4: other journalists.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why they never bothered. Never in thirty years
- 6:38Speaker 2: did they bother you till you went in and tried
- 6:39Speaker 2: to stop that church service and stop people from coming
- 6:42Speaker 2: or going.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Last night, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents
- 6:45Speaker 4: to arrest me in the middle of the night for
- 6:48Speaker 4: something that I'd been doing for the last thirty years,
- 6:52Speaker 4: and that is covering the news.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Hey, doesn't it sound like the same clip I just played?
- 6:58Speaker 2: Why is it on here with a different lay? All right,
- 7:00Speaker 2: here's another eleven.
- 7:01Speaker 4: There is no more important time than right now, this
- 7:05Speaker 4: very moment for a free and independent media that shines
- 7:08Speaker 4: a light on the truth and holds those in power accountable.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Again, I will not stop now. I will not stop ever.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh thank God. Well, talk about free and independent. There
- 7:19Speaker 2: you go. I mean, he's unpaid, he's doing it from home,
- 7:23Speaker 2: and his pajamas. Doesn't work for anybody. It's just a
- 7:26Speaker 2: homemade podcast, all right. I guess that's free and independent.
- 7:31Speaker 2: The Grammy Awards last night. You know, if there's one
- 7:36Speaker 2: place where d EI is not welcome, there's no DEI,
- 7:41Speaker 2: there's no diversity, it's the Grammy Awards. There's no diversity
- 7:47Speaker 2: allowed there. You must think what they think, you must
- 7:50Speaker 2: believe what they believe. You have to hate Trump or
- 7:52Speaker 2: you is no place for you in the Grammy Awards.
- 7:55Speaker 2: You must be totally woke left wing now. Trevor Noah
- 8:01Speaker 2: is the host of the Grammy Awards getting a lot
- 8:04Speaker 2: of complaints, by the way, a lot of people complaining
- 8:07Speaker 2: about this. The Grammy Awards are supposed to be about
- 8:09Speaker 2: music and fun and entertainment. They're not supposed to be political.
- 8:14Speaker 2: This guy turns it into Morning Joe. It's like just
- 8:18Speaker 2: bad politics. Here's Trevor Noah.
- 8:21Speaker 5: That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as
- 8:26Speaker 5: much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense. I mean,
- 8:29Speaker 5: because Epstein's Island is gone. He needs a new one
- 8:31Speaker 5: to hang out with Bill Clinton. So oh, I told
- 8:34Speaker 5: you it's my last year. What are you going to
- 8:37Speaker 5: do about it?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Ah? He jokes about Trump going to Epstein Island. Well
- 8:41Speaker 2: that got a huge laugh. However, Donald Trump has just
- 8:47Speaker 2: announced he will sue Trevor Noah. His attorneys are about
- 8:51Speaker 2: to go after Trevor Noah. He's going to have a
- 8:52Speaker 2: hell of a loss with Trump has never been anywhere
- 8:55Speaker 2: near Epstein Island, never had anything to do with Epstein
- 8:59Speaker 2: after his very early days, no connection Epstein Island. Trevor
- 9:04Speaker 2: Noah is going to have a very tough time defending
- 9:08Speaker 2: that lawsuit. So that's gonna he's gonna have a real
- 9:11Speaker 2: problem with that. Then of course he went after Nicki Minaj,
- 9:14Speaker 2: a big, big Trump supporter, declared herself a huge Trump supporter,
- 9:18Speaker 2: So of course the Grammys where diversity is not allowed.
- 9:21Speaker 2: There's no dei, no diversity. He goes after, goes after her.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Nicki Minaj is not here. She is not here.
- 9:32Speaker 6: She is.
- 9:34Speaker 5: She is still at the White House with Donald Trump
- 9:37Speaker 5: discussing very important issues.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Actually, Nikki, I have the biggest I haven't. Everybody's saying it, Nikki.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I know they say to you, but it's me. Yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 2: you go. It's a Trevor Noah or is he'll be
- 9:49Speaker 2: known in the next few months, the defendant Trevor Noah
- 9:53Speaker 2: about to get sued by Donald Trump. This will be
- 9:56Speaker 2: a very interesting, interesting lawsuit. So, speaking of Epstein, three
- 10:04Speaker 2: three million pages released, three million pages. You know it
- 10:08Speaker 2: took to go through. They got to read all three
- 10:09Speaker 2: million pages, check them, remove things. Who's the big loser
- 10:13Speaker 2: out of this, Prince Andrew because it really looks bad
- 10:17Speaker 2: for him. There's all kinds of pictures of him on
- 10:20Speaker 2: his hands and knees over a woman doing all kinds
- 10:24Speaker 2: of creepy, weird things with this young woman, very very
- 10:27Speaker 2: very bad these pictures. Now, the problem is the first
- 10:32Speaker 2: thing they do with the New York Times or anywhere,
- 10:34Speaker 2: when it's how you catti read three million pages? Well,
- 10:36Speaker 2: there's software that can read it for you and you
- 10:39Speaker 2: can type in keywords. So at the New York Times,
- 10:42Speaker 2: all the media, Chris first thing he typed was Trump.
- 10:44Speaker 2: There out came three thousand mentions of Trump. Three thousand
- 10:50Speaker 2: nothing significant, nothing. Now. Somewhere in this thing is a
- 10:53Speaker 2: bunch of witness testimony. One witness yelling about Trump committed
- 10:58Speaker 2: forced to commit a oral sect since she's under age.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Investigators never believed this testimony. There's tons and tons and
- 11:05Speaker 2: tons of witness testimony in this process. It was tossed out.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It was just not credible, not believable. Remember the one
- 11:12Speaker 2: she went after, Alan Dershwitz said he was part of
- 11:14Speaker 2: this was a Goufray, Jewfray, whatever her name was. And
- 11:18Speaker 2: there were pretty serious allegations. But it turned out she
- 11:21Speaker 2: was lying. They proved she was lying. She finally confessed
- 11:24Speaker 2: that she was lying. So a lot of that witness
- 11:26Speaker 2: testimony is worthless. But who got hurt by the release
- 11:29Speaker 2: this weekend a guy named Casey Wasserman. Lou Washerman was
- 11:34Speaker 2: the most powerful man in Hollywood. Lou Wasserman ran Hollywood
- 11:38Speaker 2: for forty fifty years. This is his grandson, Casey Wasserman,
- 11:42Speaker 2: who's a big deal in LA, big producer. He was
- 11:45Speaker 2: the head of the Olympics in LA. Turns out he
- 11:48Speaker 2: was writing all these emails back and forth with Gallain
- 11:51Speaker 2: Maxwell about various women. He was married at the time.
- 11:56Speaker 2: But apparently it's one thing about Epstein. It wasn't young girls,
- 11:59Speaker 2: it was any kind of He'd fix up with women
- 12:01Speaker 2: left and right. So with Glaine. So this Casey Wassman
- 12:05Speaker 2: was involved in that. The wife eventually left him. Giants
- 12:09Speaker 2: co owner Steve Tish going back and forth with Epstein
- 12:14Speaker 2: and the emails he was and he's pointed out he
- 12:17Speaker 2: never actually took Epstein up on anything, never actually went
- 12:20Speaker 2: and did anything, but he was just emailing him back
- 12:23Speaker 2: and forth about women. If he went to an Epstein party,
- 12:26Speaker 2: there were lots of women around. I mean, I'm not
- 12:28Speaker 2: talking about the underage girls they were lurking around there,
- 12:31Speaker 2: but it was mostly just good looking women all over
- 12:34Speaker 2: the place. So Giants co owner Steve Tish would email
- 12:38Speaker 2: back and forth with Epstein about some of the women.
- 12:41Speaker 2: He would get what they called scouting reports. There's one
- 12:44Speaker 2: where he asks is that about the woman? Is she
- 12:47Speaker 2: a pro or a civilian? Is she a working girl?
- 12:50Speaker 2: That kind of stuff. Elon Musk is in there, Epstein
- 12:54Speaker 2: emailing back and forth with him about visiting the island. Now,
- 13:00Speaker 2: Elon Musk, I think is okay here. He was down
- 13:03Speaker 2: there somewhere in the bomb somewhere near the island, and
- 13:07Speaker 2: Epstein kept inviting him to come over, and then at
- 13:10Speaker 2: one point he emailed, what night will be the wildest party?
- 13:13Speaker 2: But I don't think he meant anything body it because
- 13:15Speaker 2: he mentioned coming with his girlfriend, so that sounds pretty honest.
- 13:19Speaker 2: And musks as he never actually went. Bill Gates, Well,
- 13:24Speaker 2: there's emails in there alleging that Bill Gates was at
- 13:28Speaker 2: Epstein's house for many, many, many, many many many hours
- 13:31Speaker 2: into the night, and obviously lots of women there, not underagent,
- 13:35Speaker 2: lots of women. But there's emails saying he needed help
- 13:38Speaker 2: getting some drugs to get rid of courting. These emails
- 13:42Speaker 2: a STD a sexually transmitted disease he got from a
- 13:47Speaker 2: Russian girl. There, you see this Gates is not good
- 13:52Speaker 2: with viruses. That's one thing about Windows, It's got viruses. Apple,
- 13:56Speaker 2: you never have to worry about a virus. Windows. You
- 13:59Speaker 2: got to have anti virus software. This guy, wherever he goes,
- 14:02Speaker 2: gets a virus. Who else, Howard Lutnick, the Commerce secretary
- 14:07Speaker 2: who said he'd cut off Epstein in two thousand and twelve.
- 14:11Speaker 2: It looks like there's emails back and forth after that,
- 14:15Speaker 2: but it doesn't look like anything with Howard Lutnon except
- 14:20Speaker 2: going to lunch or something that's about it. And a
- 14:25Speaker 2: newly in this release all of Epstein's campaign donations, and
- 14:31Speaker 2: it looks like for about thirty years he gave ninety
- 14:35Speaker 2: percent of his money to Democrats. He was a big
- 14:38Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer donor, Bill Clinton donor, Hillary Clinton donor. Oh
- 14:41Speaker 2: you know else is in there. Reid Hoffman. Reid Hoffman,
- 14:45Speaker 2: the tech billionaire, the big anti Trump guy who funds
- 14:48Speaker 2: all kinds of anti Trump stuff. Hay's in there, all
- 14:50Speaker 2: tangled up with the stuff. And Michael Wolf. You know
- 14:55Speaker 2: this little wormy guy. He's a worm with the big
- 14:58Speaker 2: glasses on. Weirdo, wormy little guy, big Trump hater. He
- 15:03Speaker 2: writes these books all about terrible things about Trump. None
- 15:06Speaker 2: of them are true. They're the most ridiculous books. Nobody
- 15:08Speaker 2: believes them except the Left will use him. They'll put
- 15:13Speaker 2: him on Meet the Press, this little gossipy tabloid idiots
- 15:16Speaker 2: on Meet the Press. George Stephanopolis and I'll let him
- 15:19Speaker 2: spew all of his nonsense. If you go Instagram watch
- 15:23Speaker 2: his videos every day. There's a video of him in
- 15:25Speaker 2: his house telling you incredible stories about the horrifying, evil
- 15:29Speaker 2: things that Trump does. None of them are true, but
- 15:31Speaker 2: they're very funny videos to watch. So apparently he was
- 15:37Speaker 2: very close to Epstein, really close to Epstein and plotting
- 15:41Speaker 2: with Epstein on how to get Trump impeached, how to
- 15:44Speaker 2: destroy Trump's reputation. Wolf and Epstein. It's in writing in
- 15:49Speaker 2: these emails. Now Trump has announced he will sue Michael Wolf,
- 15:54Speaker 2: so watch for that. That could be a big, big lawsuit.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Wolf was a third grade writer, was conspiring with Jeffrey
- 16:00Speaker 3: Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise. And that came
- 16:06Speaker 3: through loud and clear. So we'll probably sue Wolf.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that could be interesting loss. But again that's the
- 16:11Speaker 2: problem that Don Lemons. You're gonna make Don Lemon back
- 16:14Speaker 2: into a successful celebrity again. Okay, Well that's the price
- 16:18Speaker 2: you pay, and it could make Wolf even bigger. But
- 16:21Speaker 2: it's worth doing. You got you gotta do the right thing. Hey, Well,
- 16:24Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute eight hundred three to
- 16:26Speaker 2: two one. The zero seven ten is the number eight
- 16:29Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:33Speaker 7: It instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 16:36Speaker 7: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show.
- 16:38Speaker 2: And his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone show
- 16:42Speaker 2: on wor Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to
- 16:51Speaker 2: Mike and Florida.
- 16:52Speaker 8: Mike, how you doing, Morney, Mark from the very frigid Florida.
- 16:56Speaker 2: What's the temperature down there right now?
- 16:59Speaker 8: It's forty and I know so icicles last yesterday for
- 17:05Speaker 8: the first time in eight years. It was revery refreshing.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Well, it's like ten degrees here, so actually a little warming.
- 17:13Speaker 2: It was twenty nine overnight, so in any event, couldn't Well,
- 17:20Speaker 2: what do you want to say, Mike.
- 17:22Speaker 8: So, you know, it's interesting these elitist entertainer types. You know,
- 17:27Speaker 8: we're all spouting about ice and you know, Molly Wingwald
- 17:30Speaker 8: and Dohnny, John Legozamo and Trevor Noah, you know, the
- 17:34Speaker 8: all either has been or never worse or never quite worse.
- 17:38Speaker 8: And the other thing about Don Lemon being a journalist,
- 17:41Speaker 8: you know what makes a journalist?
- 17:42Speaker 9: You can just say you're a journalist. I mean, for
- 17:44Speaker 9: having's sake, if.
- 17:45Speaker 8: You're a barber, you have to jump through more hoops
- 17:47Speaker 8: to be practicing barber being a barber than than a
- 17:51Speaker 8: journalist does.
- 17:53Speaker 2: You could argue that the guy on Seeing And even
- 17:55Speaker 2: if he's just that anchor host, is a journalist. But
- 17:58Speaker 2: Lemon is for a couple of years now an amateur podcaster.
- 18:01Speaker 2: That's all he is.
- 18:02Speaker 10: So exactly exactly, Thanks for.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Calling, Mike. Let's go to uh Ron in Pittsburgh. Ron.
- 18:08Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 18:09Speaker 1: You know?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Mark good?
- 18:12Speaker 9: Hey, I get a little safety tip for all the
- 18:15Speaker 9: listeners of your show. I wouldn't go into a hospital
- 18:18Speaker 9: when the MEGA had on. How about all these nurses?
- 18:21Speaker 9: Are they nuts or want? I mean, look at the
- 18:25Speaker 9: one nurse one the one nurse who was trying was
- 18:30Speaker 9: praying that got one the uh the the one lady
- 18:33Speaker 9: that loses her baby, the Caroline Leavitt, the one the
- 18:37Speaker 9: one nurse said well.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean there's some young crazy nurses. But you
- 18:40Speaker 2: gotta remember, doctors are all big Republicans. Doctors are Trump
- 18:44Speaker 2: supporters mainly because they they've seen the government screw them
- 18:48Speaker 2: around a million ways. They see what a disaster government.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Let's ask more question.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Well, let me think about it. Yeah, Okay, go you.
- 18:56Speaker 9: Got the bath thone to Trump, right, and I know
- 18:58Speaker 9: I brought flat earth before, but could you have him
- 19:00Speaker 9: take a picture from a satellite to Australias, like to
- 19:03Speaker 9: see an ocean line and roughside down.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll get right on that. I'll do it during
- 19:07Speaker 2: the news. What the hell's this guy talking about it?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Let's go to Jim and Yonkers.
- 19:11Speaker 9: Jim, how you doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I was just wondering if you had watched an interview
- 19:17Speaker 1: that took place this weekend with the head of the
- 19:20Speaker 1: union of the Minneapolis Police Department where he came out
- 19:24Speaker 1: and stated that unequivocally ICE has not been trained for
- 19:30Speaker 1: crowd control. He said that is the responsibility of the
- 19:34Speaker 1: city that's having that issue with ICE coming into it,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and I haven't heard that from anybody else.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Well, yeah, no, that's true, and it's pretty obvious ICE
- 19:44Speaker 2: officers are not crowd controlled people. That's why there's no
- 19:48Speaker 2: problem with ICE in any other state or city. It's
- 19:51Speaker 2: going fine, smoothly, peacefully everywhere else because the local police,
- 19:55Speaker 2: if there's demonstrators show up and control the protests. They
- 19:57Speaker 2: control the demonstrators. That's the way it's supposed to go.
- 20:02Speaker 2: In Minneapolis, they've decided to do like a January sixth
- 20:05Speaker 2: where you make sure you don't have enough security. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 2: January sixth, they turned down the ten thousand troops weren't
- 20:11Speaker 2: able to control the protesters and they ran through the capitol.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Same thing here, make sure there's no cops that way,
- 20:18Speaker 2: the protesters are all over the ICE agents physically confronting them,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and it leads to disaster. So, and there's this myth
- 20:24Speaker 2: they've been spreading around this talking point that's pretty false.
- 20:28Speaker 2: They only have forty seven days of training. That's not true.
- 20:30Speaker 2: There might be a couple with forty seven days of training.
- 20:33Speaker 2: But many of these ICE officers, longtime cops, longtime long resumes.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But you cannot expect them to do crowd control. That's
- 20:41Speaker 2: not what they're there for. They're there to arrest illegal, criminal,
- 20:46Speaker 2: illegal aliens. If a million protesters show up, you need
- 20:50Speaker 2: local police to do crowd control. In every other place
- 20:54Speaker 2: where ICE is, especially Texas, other places, they're doing much
- 20:58Speaker 2: much bigger operations. Only arrested three thousand illegals in Minneapolis.
- 21:03Speaker 2: In Texas they've arrested forty five thousand, so they're much
- 21:07Speaker 2: bigger operations in other cities, but local police cooperate and
- 21:10Speaker 2: everything's peaceful and orderly all the time. Let's go to
- 21:14Speaker 2: John and Long Island. John. How you doing?
- 21:17Speaker 9: Hey, Mark? How you doing?
- 21:19Speaker 10: I've been wanting to call you for so many years.
- 21:22Speaker 10: I've been listening to you, I think since nineteen seventy
- 21:24Speaker 10: eight and WPIX out of New York.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you go.
- 21:27Speaker 9: I remember listening to Don Guido.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Don Guido. He was like the Vincent of back then.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Dono used to call us every shing was like the Vincent.
- 21:38Speaker 10: Do you ever?
- 21:38Speaker 9: Is he alive still?
- 21:40Speaker 2: I never knew who he really was. I never knew
- 21:44Speaker 2: the actual person. Really, he was just a caller every day.
- 21:47Speaker 10: Yeah. He used to do that dating game with him.
- 21:50Speaker 9: It was such a used to.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Dial a date until Howard Stern borrowed it.
- 21:54Speaker 10: Yeah right, you had it before Howard Starn. I used
- 21:57Speaker 10: to run home from high school to listen to WPI.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Wow you went to high school. Pretty impressive.
- 22:02Speaker 10: So I love you, Mark, Thanks good, great listen. I
- 22:06Speaker 10: listen to you every day for fifty years.
- 22:07Speaker 2: You got a radio now, Wow, that's pretty good.
- 22:11Speaker 10: There's nobody better than you, all right.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I have to agree with that. Thanks, thanks, thanks for calling. Hey.
- 22:16Speaker 2: When we come back, Howie Carr will be with us.
- 22:19Speaker 2: We'll talk to him in a moment. Lots to talk
- 22:21Speaker 2: to him about coming up on seven to ten wo.
- 22:24Speaker 5: R Mark Show seven ten woor.
- 22:30Speaker 9: Hey.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Howie Carr one of the great talk show hosts in America.
- 22:33Speaker 2: You should be catching his show his podcast every day.
- 22:35Speaker 2: It's on iHeart Howie, or you can go to his
- 22:37Speaker 2: website howiecarshow dot com. Also best selling author. Get his
- 22:42Speaker 2: latest book Mass Corruption on Amazon. You can get everything
- 22:46Speaker 2: at howiecarsshow dot com. Howie Carr, how you doing very good?
- 22:51Speaker 7: I saw a sign today on I ninety five on
- 22:54Speaker 7: the electronic billboards I've never seen in Florida before. I've
- 22:58Speaker 7: seen it a million times in the Northeast, but never
- 23:00Speaker 7: in Florida. It said ridges ice before roads.
- 23:07Speaker 2: The temperature pretty low in Florida, right.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Lower, Yeah, very very low. Again, it's gonna it's only
- 23:15Speaker 7: a couple of days, you know, and then it'll start
- 23:17Speaker 7: to warm up. But it's nothing compared to what it
- 23:19Speaker 7: is in the Northeast. But still it's it's kind of
- 23:23Speaker 7: a it's kind of saw that you saw the women
- 23:26Speaker 7: yesterday at the mar a Lago wedding.
- 23:28Speaker 2: You know, they'd all ordered.
- 23:29Speaker 7: Their dresses when when the South Florida was having like
- 23:33Speaker 7: a you know, a really nice run of weather, I guess,
- 23:36Speaker 7: and they there's all these strapless gowns and they were
- 23:40Speaker 7: all wearing these wraps.
- 23:42Speaker 2: They were when they really needed Parkers. Yeah, big wedding,
- 23:45Speaker 2: big Maga Trump World wedding. Yesterday, Dan Scavino got married
- 23:49Speaker 2: at mar A Lago. And you've been to mar A
- 23:52Speaker 2: Lago many, many, many times. It's it's a perfect place
- 23:55Speaker 2: for a wedding, right, it's quite magnificent in that ballroom.
- 23:58Speaker 7: Oh it is, it is. They have a smaller ball
- 24:01Speaker 7: room two as well that my daughter is going to
- 24:04Speaker 7: be in April. But yeah, it's it's it's really nice.
- 24:08Speaker 7: It's just you know, obviously it's better when it's warm.
- 24:11Speaker 7: But uh, they still looks like everybody was having a
- 24:15Speaker 7: good time.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Damn.
- 24:16Speaker 2: So don Lemon journalists are not a journalist?
- 24:19Speaker 9: Then he's.
- 24:24Speaker 2: We lost you? Did we lose him? I just wonder
- 24:28Speaker 2: I made my wait, we can't hear you. Something happened there?
- 24:31Speaker 7: Who the next one? I've made my pole question?
- 24:36Speaker 2: You're okay?
- 24:37Speaker 3: Now?
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, now you're back.
- 24:38Speaker 7: Yeah, Okay, sorry, uh no, I made my pole question
- 24:42Speaker 7: on Friday. Who's going to be the next one to
- 24:45Speaker 7: try to pull with Don Lemon and resurrect his failing career.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I'm voting for Jim Acosta over.
- 24:53Speaker 7: I think Jim Acosta is more desperate than any of
- 24:55Speaker 7: the others. I don't think he made as much money
- 24:57Speaker 7: as the others. Did you know during his during his
- 25:00Speaker 7: brief run at the top of the Trump haters?
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Don Lemon's gonna be on with Jimmy Kimmel tonight.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Obviously you'll be all over television. It'll be a big
- 25:09Speaker 2: star all over again. You're absolutely right, Jim Acosta all
- 25:13Speaker 2: at Megan Kelly. They're all going to raid churches or
- 25:15Speaker 2: do whatever they have to do now trying to get
- 25:18Speaker 2: back Chris Wallace.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Is Chris Wallace too old to try to resurrect his career?
- 25:23Speaker 7: And did oh Andrea Mitchell.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about this. Yeah, there's a whole
- 25:27Speaker 2: bunch of them that could do this. But so if
- 25:30Speaker 2: you know, like, if you're a cop and they fire
- 25:33Speaker 2: you and throw you off the force a couple of
- 25:35Speaker 2: years later, are you you're not a policeman anymore?
- 25:37Speaker 9: So?
- 25:37Speaker 2: If you're fired from CNN. You haven't worked in four
- 25:40Speaker 2: or five years? Are you a journalist just because you're
- 25:43Speaker 2: doing an amateur podcast?
- 25:45Speaker 7: It's like being a red you know. I mean, there's
- 25:47Speaker 7: no there's no licensing process because you're covered under freedom
- 25:52Speaker 7: of religion or freedom of speech. It's like all those
- 25:55Speaker 7: those two lawyers that al Sharp did work with on
- 25:58Speaker 7: the Tawana Brawley hoax. They got this art, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 7: because because because because the state could take away their license.
- 26:05Speaker 7: You can't take away the license to be a reverend.
- 26:07Speaker 7: I mean, God gig you that license or so you
- 26:11Speaker 7: can claim. So I always thought that was a real
- 26:13Speaker 7: good career move on Al Sharp. That's parted at an
- 26:16Speaker 7: early age, not to you know, to become a reverend
- 26:19Speaker 7: rather than a lawyer.
- 26:22Speaker 2: So, uh, hey, you didn't watch the Grammys last night,
- 26:25Speaker 2: did you?
- 26:25Speaker 9: It was.
- 26:27Speaker 7: Very political through the Epstein files looking for local politicians and.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Did you find any Massachusetts people those Epstein files?
- 26:35Speaker 6: Oh?
- 26:35Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we found uh found the former district
- 26:39Speaker 7: attorney in Massachusetts in Boston was a quote unquote trying
- 26:44Speaker 7: to weasele in to Bob Craft's defense after the Happy
- 26:48Speaker 7: scandal in Florida with the massage, and he was a
- 26:53Speaker 7: apparently Craft was was getting advice and counsel from Epstein.
- 26:58Speaker 7: So like, there's there's a number of NFL owners, like
- 27:00Speaker 7: you saw Steve Tish last week, the Giants owner, you know,
- 27:05Speaker 7: going and say, you know, I'm going to get Epstein says,
- 27:07Speaker 7: I'm going to get you a date woman who's thirty
- 27:10Speaker 7: years younger than you. And Tish responds with the perfect question,
- 27:17Speaker 7: civilion or pro.
- 27:22Speaker 6: You have you noticed the New York Times, the Boston Globe,
- 27:25Speaker 6: the Washington Post they really totally lost interest in these
- 27:28Speaker 6: Epstein files now that the beautiful people are being out
- 27:32Speaker 6: at one after another.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and now that there's clearly no Trump anything in
- 27:36Speaker 2: there that's going to be harmful to Trump.
- 27:38Speaker 7: Right, they go, well, we just broke the story of
- 27:40Speaker 7: the herald. A political consultant after Epstein was busted at
- 27:46Speaker 7: twenty nineteen said I can help you out with your
- 27:50Speaker 7: sword and stories because I got the first lesbian elected
- 27:53Speaker 7: attorney general at Massachusetts, Mara Heally, who's now the governor.
- 27:57Speaker 7: She's an anti Trump person and she all in high
- 28:00Speaker 7: dudgeon that someone would drop her name to a notorious
- 28:05Speaker 7: Democrat pervert like Epstein. It's just it's just, you know,
- 28:10Speaker 7: I mean it's kind of sordid and gossipy and all that,
- 28:13Speaker 7: but I'm enjoying it, aren't you.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Also, his uh, all of his political donations are in there,
- 28:17Speaker 2: turns out ninety percent with the Democrats, big Chuck Schumer donor,
- 28:21Speaker 2: big Hillary Clinton donor.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Well so was so was Trump with that. I remember
- 28:25Speaker 7: the first time I ever interviewed Trump, I asked him
- 28:27Speaker 7: about Chuck schum when he said, look, I got to
- 28:29Speaker 7: do business in New York, you know, but you you
- 28:32Speaker 7: have to rent these people. And I think had I
- 28:34Speaker 7: thought that was a perfect answer.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Except if you look at the Trump's record, it was
- 28:39Speaker 2: kind of fifty to fifty Republicans Democrats, but Epstein was
- 28:42Speaker 2: clearly a Democrat. Ninety percent. That's a high percentage going
- 28:46Speaker 2: to Democrats.
- 28:48Speaker 7: Oh yeah, And it's just it's just getting uh, it's
- 28:52Speaker 7: getting better and better with these these these documents that
- 28:55Speaker 7: are coming out. I mean the thing is they're they're
- 28:57Speaker 7: they're they're set up so that so that you really
- 29:00Speaker 7: get to everything and and see then they set up
- 29:03Speaker 7: the tip line and you know, so so there's no
- 29:06Speaker 7: one can say that they're you know, protecting Trump. They're
- 29:08Speaker 7: just throwing everything that comes into the tip line. So
- 29:11Speaker 7: like they got to now they got one, they got
- 29:13Speaker 7: a tip tying Janet Mills, the governor of Maine, to
- 29:17Speaker 7: Epstein and they and so so some woman call some
- 29:21Speaker 7: woman calls it and says, well, you're going after child abuse.
- 29:23Speaker 7: She was, she was helping people get away with child
- 29:26Speaker 7: abuse when she was a prosecutor up here in Maine.
- 29:29Speaker 7: I mean, it's like they're they're all getting dragged into
- 29:32Speaker 7: this thing, all of them. Yeah, but the Democrats are
- 29:35Speaker 7: really excited. They want a state Senate seat in Texas.
- 29:38Speaker 7: Actually that's the end. That's the end of Maga world,
- 29:41Speaker 7: the state senate state in Texas.
- 29:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Midterms, Uh, it's a long way away. It's a long
- 29:48Speaker 2: way away. You got to figure the economy will be
- 29:50Speaker 2: really booming by then, everything will be better by then.
- 29:53Speaker 2: You don't think they Republicans will lose the House and
- 29:56Speaker 2: the Senate to you, No, No, I don't.
- 29:59Speaker 7: I mean, I look, you know it keeps saying, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 7: the Wall Street Journal today is bull it's oh, the
- 30:05Speaker 7: immigration crackdown is backfire. Well, all the polls I see
- 30:09Speaker 7: show that everybody is in favor of deporting illegal aliens,
- 30:14Speaker 7: especially illegal alien criminals. But like half the country, including myself,
- 30:18Speaker 7: wants to deport everybody who's here illegally. I mean, I
- 30:20Speaker 7: don't think it's I think they're just trying to you
- 30:24Speaker 7: know again, it's it's the new. It's the you know,
- 30:26Speaker 7: the Price of Eggs scandal, the Russian collusion hoax, the
- 30:31Speaker 7: Ukrainian It's it's the late it's the latest thing.
- 30:33Speaker 8: You know.
- 30:34Speaker 7: We had a we had a special election in Massachusetts
- 30:37Speaker 7: a couple of years ago. The Republicans won a state
- 30:39Speaker 7: Senate see a special election for the first time in
- 30:42Speaker 7: like thirty forty years, and it didn't even make the
- 30:46Speaker 7: Springfield It made the Boston papers and the Worcester papers,
- 30:48Speaker 7: but it even make the Springfield Paper. Now the Democrats
- 30:51Speaker 7: win a similar thing, and it's like it's international news,
- 30:56Speaker 7: you know, it's the lead story in the Guardian.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Howie Carr great stuff. You got to read
- 31:03Speaker 2: his books. He's written the best books on the Kennedys

- 31:41Speaker 2: great stuff. Thanks for being with us, Thanks Mark, Bye,
- 31:45Speaker 2: take care. Hey. Coming up, we'll get to President Trump's weekend.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It was an interesting weekend. A couple of things he did.
- 31:53Speaker 2: We'll get to that. Coming up, we'll get to Mom Donnie.
- 31:56Speaker 2: We'll get to the Clintons. They may have a big, big,
- 31:59Speaker 2: big legal problem this week. We'll get told of that.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Don't forget Buck and Clay. An excellent show. They'll be
- 32:04Speaker 2: here at noon three o'clock. Most listen to radio show
- 32:07Speaker 2: in America Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Fail,
- 32:11Speaker 2: a very funny, interesting show every night nine o'clock. It's
- 32:15Speaker 2: here on seven to ten wor. This is to the
- 32:20Speaker 2: Mark Simon Show.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm wr well.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Hey, things getting back to normal in Venezuela. In fact,
- 32:30Speaker 2: American Airlines plans to resume NonStop service to Venezuela as
- 32:35Speaker 2: ties between the nations thusf So now you can go
- 32:37Speaker 2: to the airport, jump on a plane, go to Venezuela.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I don't know who would want to, but flights are resuming.
- 32:43Speaker 2: The rumor that Costco will finally raise the price of
- 32:45Speaker 2: the hot dog false, not true. It's still going to
- 32:49Speaker 2: be a dollar fifty. It's the greatest loss leader in
- 32:52Speaker 2: the world. The Costco hot dog legendary. It's probably the
- 32:56Speaker 2: best hot dog you can get. They make these their
- 32:58Speaker 2: own buns. They're phenomenal. It's always been a dollar fifty
- 33:01Speaker 2: for decades. They lose money on every hot dog. It's
- 33:05Speaker 2: just to get people in the stort. So it is
- 33:07Speaker 2: the best hot dog in the world. At Costco. It
- 33:11Speaker 2: was a dollar fifty like thirty years ago. If you
- 33:13Speaker 2: adjust for inflation, it should be four dollars today. But
- 33:17Speaker 2: they've figured out how to keep it at a dollar fifty.
- 33:20Speaker 2: In fact, they had. They used to buy hot dogs.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Now they have to. They open their own factories. They
- 33:25Speaker 2: make their own hot dogs to keep the cost Low
- 33:27Speaker 2: a dollar fifty greatest loss leader ever. Now the idea
- 33:33Speaker 2: is you'll come in there, you're have the hot dog,
- 33:35Speaker 2: but then you'll run around and spend one hundred dollars
- 33:38Speaker 2: on stuff in Costco. Nobody's gonna go in, just have
- 33:40Speaker 2: the hot dog and leave except for me. I've done
- 33:44Speaker 2: that a million times. That's the only reason I've had
- 33:46Speaker 2: Costco card, just to do that. So, hey, we got
- 33:49Speaker 2: a lot to get to in the next hour. The
- 33:51Speaker 2: legendary Scott Shannon will be with us. In the next hour.
- 33:54Speaker 2: We'll go over the Grammy Awards, and we'll get to
- 33:57Speaker 2: the super Bowl and all of that coming up. Also,
- 34:00Speaker 2: interesting Trump weekend. We'll tell you what he did over
- 34:04Speaker 2: the weekend. A couple of things. We'll get to all
- 34:05Speaker 2: of that. Hey, don't forget, I'm here every day ten
- 34:08Speaker 2: to noon. But you can also listen to the show

- 34:17Speaker 2: show anytime, day or night. Wherever you get podcasts, you'll
- 34:21Speaker 2: find this show back after the news on seven to ten.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Woir
