- 0:38Speaker 1: Wake up? Wake up your pivot, turn it down. You know,
- 0:44Speaker 1: if you've got to shoot, you better shoot straight, because also,
- 0:46Speaker 1: who did I haven't a listen. The worst thing you
- 0:47Speaker 1: can deal with the fact. This is Buller Alert Radio

- 1:33Speaker 1: well landsfer It's good looks. Welcome thank you for the compliment.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Alert Baby, what's good? Kenny Burns Chilling Baby, were just
- 1:47Speaker 1: out here in the streets trying to curate culture. We're
- 1:51Speaker 1: happy to have you here, and now it's time for
- 1:53Speaker 1: in case you missed it, Lord have mercy. I know
- 2:00Speaker 1: everybody has seen a little black child in the green hoodie.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Quality has now apologized for the modeling black child in
- 2:14Speaker 1: coolest monkey in the jungle sweatshirt? Am I reading this?
- 2:20Speaker 1: And this went through the executives in the higher They said, okay,
- 2:24Speaker 1: see that's the thing. How did he get past the
- 2:28Speaker 1: black executives? I understand, you know, if it got past
- 2:33Speaker 1: some ignorant, thoughtless, mindless executives, how did it get past
- 2:38Speaker 1: the black executives? The black executives are working for the
- 2:41Speaker 1: white executives that probably have a higher position than the
- 2:44Speaker 1: black works. How about this? The bigger question is are
- 2:47Speaker 1: there any black executives there? You go? That's the truth
- 2:51Speaker 1: there it is. That's amazing to me, like that the
- 2:54Speaker 1: first thing would have been put that on a white child.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I'm just saying, not because of anything else. If you
- 2:59Speaker 1: if you made that shirt, which the shirt shouldn't have
- 3:02Speaker 1: been made, I don't think I think it's too much
- 3:05Speaker 1: possibilities for some ship like this to happen. But now
- 3:08Speaker 1: what's going to happen to h and the I think
- 3:10Speaker 1: this is a big deal. This was their British line. Yeah,
- 3:13Speaker 1: this was their British line. And you know there's a
- 3:16Speaker 1: whole lot of racial tension going on over there, so
- 3:19Speaker 1: it makes it it makes it that much worse that
- 3:21Speaker 1: you decided to put that sweatshirt on this one black
- 3:24Speaker 1: boy that you got in the whole entire campaign. That's horrible.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It's as unbelievable. Rory looks like one of your children,
- 3:30Speaker 1: So would you get would you love one of your
- 3:34Speaker 1: kids or anything like that? Do you ever call your
- 3:35Speaker 1: kids monkeys? Like, oh, you crazy little monkey? People call
- 3:39Speaker 1: their kids monkeys. Some people call their kids. Have never
- 3:41Speaker 1: heard of it in my life. Black people call black
- 3:44Speaker 1: people the craziest ship. I called you kidding me? You
- 3:51Speaker 1: used as a form as an insult to me. I'm
- 3:53Speaker 1: just I agree that it is used. But sometimes parents
- 3:56Speaker 1: or adults do call kids monkeys. I've heard it's okay,
- 4:01Speaker 1: we know all the animals sit your market to use
- 4:06Speaker 1: as a form as an insult. What you know what
- 4:09Speaker 1: black black folk calling black folk. It's the thing, you know,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm saying, I don't think it's a I know what's
- 4:13Speaker 1: the guard he used to play for. He now plays
- 4:16Speaker 1: for the Clippers. He used to play for the Rockets.
- 4:18Speaker 1: He's uh, Chris Paul. No, not Chris Paul, the other one, Beverly.
- 4:23Speaker 1: His last name is Beverly Patrick, Beverlely. That little monkey
- 4:27Speaker 1: niggle I'm talking about, not be On. He played for
- 4:31Speaker 1: the Pistons. Now I think no, But he has such
- 4:33Speaker 1: aggressive defense. I used to say, I used to call
- 4:35Speaker 1: little monkey nigga, but I wasn't. It's not like I'm in.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I wasn't insulting. He like a little Okay, Great President
- 4:46Speaker 1: Trump a k Donald man? Why are you? Why are
- 4:49Speaker 1: you coming to Donald Duck? They tried to really shut
- 4:52Speaker 1: down the roads because of the rain and the black
- 4:58Speaker 1: ice that was coming from the rain in the cold.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But it's not even any black ice, and it just
- 5:03Speaker 1: started raining. You know, I'm confining. The only darkness coming
- 5:07Speaker 1: into town is that orange man right now, every doctor
- 5:11Speaker 1: number four, the four, he's coming to watch the game too.
- 5:15Speaker 1: How do you feel about Donald coming to Atlanta to
- 5:19Speaker 1: watch the playoffs? Well, we have to remember that this
- 5:23Speaker 1: is a red state. Although Atlanta maybe African American driven
- 5:27Speaker 1: and ran. However, the state of Georgia is Republican and
- 5:31Speaker 1: it has always. Yeah, I would just like for them
- 5:33Speaker 1: to accidentally take a wrong turn when they get closer
- 5:36Speaker 1: to the in the bluffs. Take time. It's right there.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Take one turn. It just takes one right and and
- 5:47Speaker 1: we're gonna get you right. Hey, you know, Donald Trump,
- 5:49Speaker 1: if fuels really, you should stop by Bankheads Seafood. It's
- 5:52Speaker 1: right by the right by the dome, but not the dome.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I can't wait to see the newly appointed mayor does
- 6:00Speaker 1: if he's friend, because she knows she's gonna be there,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and please, sister did I would love to see. And
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm sure she's going to do the appropriate thing and
- 6:07Speaker 1: gives that motherfucker on the hand she lass bottom right, Okay, great, Um.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Now the beautiful quad is here. Um. She is the
- 6:22Speaker 1: host bollination of TV one Sister Circle Live. If you
- 6:25Speaker 1: did not know, they have sixty five million viewers every week.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It's good. Yeah, we got a nice little reacha out here.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's incredible. Sean a baby, that's we had a short
- 6:42Speaker 1: film we did together once point of time. I remember, okay,
- 6:49Speaker 1: you are just what is also the star of TVs
- 6:56Speaker 1: married to medicine, So we gotta give it up for that,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you know. I find it amazing that one that show
- 7:04Speaker 1: got to air and it's still on just because Mary
- 7:06Speaker 1: the Medicine doesn't seem like you're normal, right reality? Okay,
- 7:11Speaker 1: And I think actually that was the lore of it
- 7:13Speaker 1: because we've not seen that ever, we don't really know
- 7:16Speaker 1: what goes on behind the hospital. I mean, back in
- 7:19Speaker 1: the day, we had um, what do you call that?
- 7:21Speaker 1: The stories you had all of that. So this gives
- 7:25Speaker 1: you a real live look at what goes on minus
- 7:29Speaker 1: the hospital or behind the scenes under their white coach.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Doctors do seem like superheroes. They're just coming there so
- 7:36Speaker 1: together and on point, delivering that you know what I'm saying,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and then doing surgeries and then you're right. But we
- 7:41Speaker 1: always knew they had dynamic pieces of their puzzles are dynamics. Well,
- 7:45Speaker 1: they're human, and we cannot, uh, we can't overlook that.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I think a lot of times we think like, oh,
- 7:51Speaker 1: it's God and then there's a doctor. But and that
- 7:53Speaker 1: puts a lot of pressure on them to be honest
- 7:55Speaker 1: with you. But they're still human. They have the same
- 7:57Speaker 1: issues that a lot of us struggle with the same
- 7:59Speaker 1: insecurities as well. Uh. And I think what I do
- 8:02Speaker 1: like about Married to Medicine the most is that we're
- 8:05Speaker 1: very raw. It's not a scripted show at all, and
- 8:08Speaker 1: we show everything, you know, even when it's tough. I'm
- 8:10Speaker 1: going through a tough situation right now, even in my marriage,
- 8:13Speaker 1: but it's real, and um, it's probably a great teaching
- 8:16Speaker 1: tool for a lot of people. We address a lot
- 8:19Speaker 1: of issues, like, uh, you know, people struggling with their
- 8:22Speaker 1: sexuality in terms of you know, maybe a woman but
- 8:25Speaker 1: she's always felt like a man. I think Simone has
- 8:28Speaker 1: been on one of her patients last year where she
- 8:31Speaker 1: really was like petrified to get a pep smear. And
- 8:35Speaker 1: that's just what we do as women, just pros scoop down,
- 8:38Speaker 1: Come on down, you know what I'm talking about? Come on,
- 8:41Speaker 1: come on that I'm hating I'm hanging out. Why does
- 8:47Speaker 1: it sound so bad? Well, you have to take a
- 8:53Speaker 1: culture sample. You got to take a culture sample and
- 8:56Speaker 1: measure It's okay, you gotta make sure things all right
- 8:59Speaker 1: down there. But I'm I'm trying to figure out. So
- 9:01Speaker 1: you said that being married to medicine, being married in
- 9:04Speaker 1: general is hard. Congratulations on eighteen years. Thank you, Thank
- 9:08Speaker 1: you hard. Come on, an we got the last eighteen
- 9:13Speaker 1: months where I'm trying to tell you I'm a fact superman.
- 9:22Speaker 1: First yeah, but but since I think that, you know,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and we can talk about this a little bit, but
- 9:26Speaker 1: it's just clearly doing it on TV. You know. It's
- 9:30Speaker 1: it's what you put in. I think it's what you
- 9:32Speaker 1: get out. And a lot of times, you know, we
- 9:34Speaker 1: get creative, we get into our business modes and that
- 9:39Speaker 1: to think about, you know, relationships in business it's hard
- 9:42Speaker 1: because if you have to go getters and they out
- 9:45Speaker 1: there and trying to get it, it's hard. Is so
- 9:48Speaker 1: is that what's going on? You know, it's a lot
- 9:50Speaker 1: in terms of my are you speaking in love to
- 9:52Speaker 1: my marriage? It's a lot of that. Listen. You know
- 9:54Speaker 1: he's ambitious and I'm equally ambitious, if not more. I've
- 9:58Speaker 1: always been a self sufficient, independent per son. This is
- 10:00Speaker 1: who my father grew me to be. Um that I
- 10:03Speaker 1: would never be at the liberty of anyone else's hands.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And so this is just what I know. I love
- 10:08Speaker 1: and respect and my my my husband. I cherish him too.
- 10:11Speaker 1: But at times it is challenging and I'm feeling like,
- 10:14Speaker 1: right now, I'm not being heard, and that's a huge problem.
- 10:17Speaker 1: We're having major issues with communications. So he's not listening
- 10:21Speaker 1: to your actual issues in the relationship, not actively listening. See,
- 10:26Speaker 1: it's different to just actively actively Okay, that was so good.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Good And when you're actively what's up? What was wrong?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Or you want to she said a word right there
- 10:40Speaker 1: as your question. Actively listen, listen, okay, carry on, carry
- 10:45Speaker 1: So when you're actively listening, then you can be effectively
- 10:48Speaker 1: in the resolution. And I think that's where we are.
- 10:51Speaker 1: We're missing the mark, you know, because my husband in
- 10:55Speaker 1: his mind he feels like, you know, he pays some
- 10:57Speaker 1: of the bills and then of course, but I I
- 10:59Speaker 1: pay the else. Let me just set that, set that right.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I take care of all of my personal bills, like
- 11:04Speaker 1: all of all of my bills, like PR and you know,
- 11:06Speaker 1: cars and hold on, do you share bank accounts? We don't.
- 11:11Speaker 1: That's an issue. We don't. I'm gonna tell you what's
- 11:13Speaker 1: an issue. No. Hold this is a trust thing. This
- 11:16Speaker 1: boils down to the bottom bottom line. And I have friends.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I have friends that are in relationships like yours. They
- 11:24Speaker 1: have issues because it's hard to commit to something if
- 11:27Speaker 1: you don't think that it's all the way tied in.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And I'll say this because in my relationship, I signed
- 11:35Speaker 1: on as the provider, but what my wife does at
- 11:39Speaker 1: home and with our kids, I could not do this
- 11:41Speaker 1: and it is equal to me, no matter how much money.
- 11:44Speaker 1: But that's good though, and you you get it, but
- 11:47Speaker 1: a lot of men don't get it. But the people
- 11:48Speaker 1: don't start the relationships like that either. You go into
- 11:51Speaker 1: relationships with this is mine and this is mine. I
- 11:54Speaker 1: never wanted to go into my marriage like that. I've
- 11:56Speaker 1: been when my husband now for ten years, we've been
- 11:58Speaker 1: married for six, so I never to start with that
- 12:01Speaker 1: this is this and this is that. However, that's the
- 12:02Speaker 1: tone that he said, Well, well, you know, Kenny Burrs,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm just listen. Y'all want me to me, to really
- 12:08Speaker 1: want me. So this is the tone that he said.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I don't like it, but you know, now it has
- 12:15Speaker 1: manifested itself and it's really hard for you to be like,
- 12:19Speaker 1: well I do this, and I'm like, well, you know,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I just opened my books and I spent ten rex
- 12:22Speaker 1: a month on me for taking care of my biss
- 12:27Speaker 1: it's not only me being self absorbing. But you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: if something if something happens to one of my cars,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, I'm the person that's going out there buying
- 12:35Speaker 1: the tires for my cars. I'm the person that's making
- 12:37Speaker 1: sure it gets to the shop. I'm the person that
- 12:39Speaker 1: deals with the contract. I'm the person that deals with
- 12:40Speaker 1: a lung care person. I'm the person that's working three jobs.
- 12:45Speaker 1: That's a. That's a. That's an amazing question. Let me
- 12:48Speaker 1: let me, let me say this. I have made some
- 12:51Speaker 1: mistakes in my marriage. Let's let me for really, I've
- 12:54Speaker 1: made some mistakes in my marriage. And I would say
- 12:56Speaker 1: the first thing that I did was taking on too
- 12:58Speaker 1: much initially, and so I, in a sense, have gotten
- 13:02Speaker 1: him used to this. Now do I want to do
- 13:04Speaker 1: it all? The biggest problem now is no, I don't.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I don't. Okay, tell them in the way that there
- 13:12Speaker 1: is no other option. Either you get with this or
- 13:14Speaker 1: there's a you know, there's a roll out exactly because
- 13:17Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you can't stay in
- 13:19Speaker 1: some unhealthy, toxic energy that's just not progressive for what
- 13:23Speaker 1: you spend on yourself a month. Let's get let's compare
- 13:25Speaker 1: it if you're coming out here and you're doing all
- 13:27Speaker 1: these great things and amplify your career and it's all happening,
- 13:30Speaker 1: but you go home and it's toxic. What does that
- 13:32Speaker 1: ultimately do for your spirit? Well? You know what, I
- 13:35Speaker 1: I am the type of person who says I am
- 13:37Speaker 1: in control of my own happiness, right, And when I
- 13:40Speaker 1: introduce someone, when we all introduce someone else to our lives,
- 13:43Speaker 1: it's not for them to make us happy. They're there
- 13:45Speaker 1: to enhance our happiness. And as a wife, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I want to do all that I can before I
- 13:51Speaker 1: give up on my marriage. I've never been a quitter,
- 13:54Speaker 1: but I ain't, no damn fool leave them. Okay, however,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I am patient, but my patient's running then yeah, but
- 14:00Speaker 1: to pay the listen, you don't have to get a
- 14:03Speaker 1: divorce to make an ultimatum. You don't have to separate
- 14:07Speaker 1: your your being, your togetherness to say how you feel
- 14:11Speaker 1: and put a you know, put some action to the
- 14:14Speaker 1: to the feeling that that's true. But first of all,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you have to have a person who's willing to receive
- 14:18Speaker 1: the message that you're giving. Okay, So, so if if
- 14:22Speaker 1: you don't have an individual who's really saying you know what,
- 14:25Speaker 1: what this man or what this woman is actually saying
- 14:27Speaker 1: to me matters. I really care. I want to see
- 14:30Speaker 1: to it if they're happy, that they're happy that I'm
- 14:33Speaker 1: doing everything that I can to lighten the load. Okay. Well,
- 14:37Speaker 1: if you have a person who already thinks, well I'm
- 14:38Speaker 1: doing this and I'm doing that, then now automatically there's
- 14:41Speaker 1: a wall there, okay, and we can't grow together as
- 14:44Speaker 1: one if one part of us, it's not really to
- 14:47Speaker 1: grow right, that makes sense, It does absolutely you Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: single one, she got me. No, No, we're good. Yeah. No,
- 14:58Speaker 1: she's answering correctly, like Cording is too. Solo in Octavia Burns.
- 15:02Speaker 1: You have a very interesting perspective when it comes to this. Okay, well,
- 15:05Speaker 1: my women really a lot he dates a lot of
- 15:10Speaker 1: women are just think he's a dragon the dragon slayer.
- 15:17Speaker 1: The dragon slayer killed him, the man. What's going on?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Some of the people he has been in relationships? Watch
- 15:26Speaker 1: watches every episode. What's up? Intensified? So listen, how do
- 15:29Speaker 1: you think watching right now? Ki? No, no, no, no,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you're guests, this is not the right do not right,
- 15:37Speaker 1: This is not do you see those shades? I got
- 15:39Speaker 1: all right? Now I don't put your blinder's home. Baby,
- 15:41Speaker 1: I see you, I need you to see me. Listen.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I gotta ask you a question. You have to stay around.
- 15:47Speaker 1: She has my mom loves the show. Tell her which
- 15:49Speaker 1: one we gotta we gotta ask these days working on
- 15:55Speaker 1: the networks, of working the network, my bad book, she said,
- 16:02Speaker 1: please ask her? Yes? Is she gonna have kids? Oh
- 16:07Speaker 1: my god, I'm so happy that you brought up yes.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Let's can we address that please? Okay, guys, everyone who
- 16:14Speaker 1: is following upon the voice and I'm speaking please. So
- 16:21Speaker 1: many people say, oh, miss squad doesn't want any kids,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and she's doing that man wrong. She should have told
- 16:27Speaker 1: him before they got married. They say that. And that's
- 16:32Speaker 1: the dumbest shot, thank you, baby, the dumbest thing. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: got a metabolism of a three year old. I'm busy,
- 16:40Speaker 1: so but I'm just simply saying. They speak as if
- 16:44Speaker 1: they know, they speak with conviction, like I was dead
- 16:46Speaker 1: when she had the conversation with her, and guess what
- 16:49Speaker 1: she should have told him. And that's not it. Guys,
- 16:51Speaker 1: what I do want you to understand and please hear me.
- 16:54Speaker 1: A child has never fixed anything. A child has never
- 16:58Speaker 1: fixed anything. Bringing a baby into a toxic situation or
- 17:01Speaker 1: situation that it's not in its bed, in its best place,
- 17:06Speaker 1: will just be detrimental in a sense to the child's spirit,
- 17:10Speaker 1: to the child emotional, to the child's emotional stability, And um,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm not interested in doing it. I'm not interesting in
- 17:18Speaker 1: ruining a young person who one day will turn into
- 17:20Speaker 1: a woman or man. Okay, so, well, did you think
- 17:24Speaker 1: that you knew that in the beginning of your marriage,
- 17:26Speaker 1: because you said that you went into it knowing that
- 17:27Speaker 1: you guys are gonna have separate counsel you kind of no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I I initially this is what happened. So he didn't
- 17:34Speaker 1: want the shared accounts. Initially, we're gonna talk a little
- 17:36Speaker 1: bit about about that. This season is married to medicine,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and we we have a marital focus group that we
- 17:41Speaker 1: that we are surround ourselves with who who tries to
- 17:44Speaker 1: get us out of the road often. And he said,
- 17:47Speaker 1: you know, I would that he was selfish. He said,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I I felt like, you know, this is what he
- 17:51Speaker 1: felt like, this is what he worked for. And so
- 17:54Speaker 1: he wasn't really openly willing or ready to share it. Now,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I've always been a go get it. Let me let
- 17:59Speaker 1: me set the con straight for this. When I initially
- 18:01Speaker 1: met my husband, he was making twelve dollars more. Did
- 18:04Speaker 1: you see the woman? He was making twelve thou dollars
- 18:09Speaker 1: more than what I was making at the time. Of course,
- 18:11Speaker 1: things have changed for us over the last ten years drastically.
- 18:14Speaker 1: How thank you, thank you God. But but it's it's
- 18:18Speaker 1: like I hear people say, oh, now she's came up,
- 18:20Speaker 1: she's got to come up, she's got money. Now now
- 18:23Speaker 1: she don't want him. She used them. Listen, it was
- 18:25Speaker 1: never about money with me, because I know what I'm
- 18:28Speaker 1: capable of. I know that I got what it takes
- 18:30Speaker 1: to I'm gonna winner, born winner from this straight up
- 18:34Speaker 1: and that seriously, and so it was never about what
- 18:38Speaker 1: he could provide for me. It was more about what
- 18:40Speaker 1: we could create together. I'm just simply saying, However, I
- 18:45Speaker 1: definitely wanted to dismay that that out there, But yes,
- 18:49Speaker 1: I want children. If I had the ideal situation, if
- 18:52Speaker 1: I had a person that I felt was really to
- 18:54Speaker 1: kick in as a team player, if I felt like
- 18:57Speaker 1: I was not alone in my marriage by myself. Uh,
- 19:00Speaker 1: then if I felt like I had a helpmate at home. Yes, absolutely,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I would have a child. Third, it's so hard being
- 19:07Speaker 1: a woman who is as ambitious as you are, right
- 19:10Speaker 1: trying to wear so many different hats, and you have
- 19:12Speaker 1: all these shows that you're part of, and I mean
- 19:14Speaker 1: the book Romance on the Table you I'm pretty sure
- 19:17Speaker 1: you talked about how you can create romanship your food.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I love did you? Is that how you got him?
- 19:23Speaker 1: In the beginning, says you was cooking up stuff. I'm
- 19:25Speaker 1: a fool in the kitchen. Why nothing? Why didn't we
- 19:30Speaker 1: get I just I just left my other job confirmation
- 19:38Speaker 1: with Amera. What is your favorite dish? Oh my god.
- 19:41Speaker 1: One of my favorite dishes that I prepared would probably
- 19:44Speaker 1: be my Chilean sea bass with a little lemons esstial
- 19:47Speaker 1: and some capers. I do that over better for it,
- 19:49Speaker 1: low rice Risotta. We're gonna go ahead and slide some
- 19:52Speaker 1: seared maragus on the side. Of the time. You got
- 19:57Speaker 1: to check me out, absolutely quiet. I have my cooking
- 19:59Speaker 1: segments there all the time. I'm posting. I just did
- 20:02Speaker 1: a nice red snapper in Escovich the other day, so
- 20:05Speaker 1: you know, it's official. Romance on the Table. You make
- 20:08Speaker 1: it sound ron what chicken dishes. Do you have chicken?
- 20:12Speaker 1: I think god bird? Well, you know, I'm as blue
- 20:15Speaker 1: black as it come. I might be light skinned, but
- 20:18Speaker 1: I'm blue black on the inside. Come on, why And
- 20:21Speaker 1: I just actually did uh to some rotisserie cornish hands
- 20:25Speaker 1: bull sun dried tomato on. Yeah, yeah I did that. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 1: brown chicken too. Yeah. We're doing We're doing big. I'm
- 20:33Speaker 1: really serious. When it comes down to anything that I do,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I feel that I'm the best at it, and if
- 20:37Speaker 1: it's going to be affiliated with me, it has to
- 20:39Speaker 1: be the best. One of the things that I am
- 20:41Speaker 1: extremely afraid of, it's being average. That as my motivation. Girls,
- 20:45Speaker 1: little black girls out there, and you see black girl
- 20:49Speaker 1: say one time, black girl, mane, black girl, magic flash,
- 20:53Speaker 1: pay attention averages for the average. Yeah, it's the book.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Please tell us more about the book and when it's come.
- 21:00Speaker 1: So the book, um, which is it's just gonna be amazing.
- 21:03Speaker 1: It's something that I'm extremely passionate about. And it's not
- 21:05Speaker 1: just your your your standard or traditional cookbook when you
- 21:08Speaker 1: have the recipes and then you have an illustration. I'm
- 21:12Speaker 1: talking a lot about like some of the mistakes that
- 21:13Speaker 1: I've made because my biggest goal with this is just
- 21:15Speaker 1: wanting to break down the level of intimidation that people
- 21:19Speaker 1: have when it when it comes down to cooking. You know,
- 21:22Speaker 1: a lot of one I'm serious by the time, a
- 21:24Speaker 1: lot of women are too, you know, And I just
- 21:27Speaker 1: wanted to I want people to look at the kitchen
- 21:29Speaker 1: or cooking as if it was something that was fun
- 21:32Speaker 1: to do, exciting, and you wait for that moment because
- 21:34Speaker 1: it's a place where we congregate and we talk about
- 21:36Speaker 1: things like this is a conversation for the kitchen to
- 21:39Speaker 1: the alert. But but I really really want that to transpire,
- 21:43Speaker 1: and I want that to transcend through the book. And
- 21:45Speaker 1: it's also there's some self help corners there, you know,
- 21:48Speaker 1: by not putting a lot of pressure on yourself just
- 21:51Speaker 1: being able to relax. We got some dating tips in there. Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about how you need to dress when
- 21:57Speaker 1: you go on the day. We're gonna talk about, um,
- 21:59Speaker 1: you know, how you need to eat. You don't want
- 22:01Speaker 1: to just be down there scarfing your hell. And you know,
- 22:03Speaker 1: like a etiquette as well too. I want to talk
- 22:06Speaker 1: about plating and different colors and textures of the food.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So it's a book that is well round and we're
- 22:11Speaker 1: going to cover a lot in the book. Romance on
- 22:13Speaker 1: the Table, A spice A way to sauce up your
- 22:15Speaker 1: love line. That's right. You can also follow hashtag cooking
- 22:19Speaker 1: with quad because you post. When you post your dishes,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you post that, okay, so they can go back, ye,
- 22:24Speaker 1: go back check. Yeah, we got receipt. That's right. What
- 22:27Speaker 1: was you about to say, sue so long? I might
- 22:28Speaker 1: be able to keep a man with these recipes. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: you have to come up with the burns of state.
- 22:36Speaker 1: We just got a new kitchen. Oh you got what
- 22:38Speaker 1: you got that walk over? You know, we got a
- 22:41Speaker 1: big you know, somebody needs Octavian burns set up the mind.
- 22:45Speaker 1: That might be now that would be fun. Seriously, you
- 22:48Speaker 1: want cooks in the house. She's not the cook definitely,
- 22:51Speaker 1: because she's the cook. I matter. She had two dishes
- 22:53Speaker 1: and now she got seven turnt It's real. You're preyed
- 22:57Speaker 1: on those dishes, preyed on her multiplications multip still having
- 23:01Speaker 1: sex every week. Come on, now it's time for baller man.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Make sure you guys keep sending me baller mail is
- 23:10Speaker 1: super crazy. I had so much baller mail because we
- 23:14Speaker 1: were off for two weeks. Right, guys felt like two months.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It was ridiculous baller mail. My roommate moved her boyfriend
- 23:21Speaker 1: into our apartment without asking me. Should we should the
- 23:24Speaker 1: bills be split? Or no? Yeah, they should be split
- 23:28Speaker 1: in three? Hold on, hold on, help, I need advice.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I leave in the apartment with the roommate. Both of
- 23:35Speaker 1: our names are on the least. We split all of
- 23:37Speaker 1: the bills actually in half cable, water, electricity, et cetera.
- 23:41Speaker 1: One day, without asking me, she moved her boyfriend into
- 23:43Speaker 1: the apartment. He has been living there for a few months.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I wish she would have asked me first. What irritates
- 23:48Speaker 1: me is that I feel like the bill should be
- 23:50Speaker 1: split in three. Now that there's there, Now that there
- 23:52Speaker 1: are three people running up the bills. He literally pays nothing.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Should I confront them about it alone? Don't move a
- 24:00Speaker 1: man into the house that you and I live in
- 24:02Speaker 1: because I might walk around the house naked, I might
- 24:05Speaker 1: have my girlfriend's over, I have my rooms who's d
- 24:12Speaker 1: and it got television high definition. It might as well
- 24:16Speaker 1: be a girl. You know, when they got a little hooked.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You get it right, You get it right, all right,
- 24:27Speaker 1: sister seen No, but it's not cool. You can't just
- 24:33Speaker 1: bring somebody into our space like that, Like my name
- 24:35Speaker 1: is on the least we pay the bills. Don't just move.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I don't care if it's your boyfriend, your mom, be dad.
- 24:39Speaker 1: You can't just bring somebody extra the house and then
- 24:40Speaker 1: expect me to cover their living expenses. Well, it definitely
- 24:43Speaker 1: should be a conversation for us from foremost now now.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Now if you just say okay, yes and this person
- 24:48Speaker 1: can move in the now, the bills need to be
- 24:50Speaker 1: I'll split in three. There's no reason why this woman
- 24:54Speaker 1: is getting pimp via another woman. Hello, that's just just
- 24:58Speaker 1: that's just it's South. No, I'm from North still live, yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: very much. So this is what I think. I think
- 25:07Speaker 1: at the end of the day, this is this goes
- 25:09Speaker 1: back to relationships in general. This be the problem. Go ahead.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't put ship in priority. You don't put
- 25:18Speaker 1: the chip in the order it needs to be in.
- 25:20Speaker 1: People be out here in these trees, just going with
- 25:22Speaker 1: the flow, like everything gonna be all right. Now. These
- 25:26Speaker 1: are things not sharing a bank account when you're in
- 25:29Speaker 1: a serious relationship causes room for error, and not just
- 25:33Speaker 1: erroring the financial side, but the trust side. Trust, that's
- 25:37Speaker 1: the emotional side. That connects the union. And the problem
- 25:41Speaker 1: with these freeload motherfucker's is if you let them, they
- 25:45Speaker 1: will your family too. But see, I got a call
- 25:48Speaker 1: on like what type of man is he that? He's like,
- 25:50Speaker 1: he's just rolling up and through, Like, yeah, I'm good,
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'm good. Houseway. I was actually in the situation, however, though.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I lived with a gay guy and he ended up
- 25:59Speaker 1: moving is boyfriend and after he got out of jail, right,
- 26:03Speaker 1: oh lord, it was it was a whole lot like
- 26:07Speaker 1: the gay boyfriend was in jail, gayboyfriend, so so yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 1: so he moved. I find out later that the gay
- 26:15Speaker 1: boyfriend that had just come out of jail was actually
- 26:17Speaker 1: paying a third of the utilities and the bills. But
- 26:20Speaker 1: the roommate wasn't his cough right, so yeah, he was
- 26:28Speaker 1: coming because I end up funding the jailbird boyfriend, Like, yo,
- 26:32Speaker 1: you gotta you have to if you're gonna be here.
- 26:34Speaker 1: He was like, what do you mean I hadn't paying.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I left, I had to go over.
- 26:41Speaker 1: You are over twenty let's give it an age. Over
- 26:47Speaker 1: twenty three shouldn't have a roommate. And I'll tell you why.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Developed properly as a human being continuing to live with
- 26:55Speaker 1: some ship that cannot ultimately ain't gonna be with you
- 26:57Speaker 1: at the end of the day. I'm just saying that
- 26:59Speaker 1: few relationship with a woman and you're working towards some ladies.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Don't waste your old pointies on these niggas either. You
- 27:05Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about, Because at the end of
- 27:06Speaker 1: the day, if it's a six year guy but you
- 27:10Speaker 1: ain't got no ring, guess what's gonna happen. Nothing nothing.
- 27:16Speaker 1: The roommate thing kills me. The right thing kills are
- 27:19Speaker 1: all ladies out there getting into a relationship with somebody
- 27:22Speaker 1: that's out here in these streets. I'm gonna tell you
- 27:25Speaker 1: something that my wife told me when we first I
- 27:28Speaker 1: fell in love with what they all would fall in
- 27:30Speaker 1: love with. I just don't bring that ship to my house.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And if you set parameters, ladies, I guarantee you nine
- 27:37Speaker 1: times out of tune with work in your favorite lad
- 27:43Speaker 1: You gotta be real with yourself too. You know who
- 27:45Speaker 1: you're getting into. You know who that man is on
- 27:48Speaker 1: the microphone. The ladies are grabbing at his and you
- 27:55Speaker 1: see it'll be mad at Ferrari Simmons because that's what
- 27:58Speaker 1: he does for a living. And by the way, you ladies,
- 28:00Speaker 1: Robby's getting out the club on the bigger and better thing,
- 28:03Speaker 1: extra stuff that happens with I was trying to give
- 28:06Speaker 1: you your whole life. Why are you so quiet today?
- 28:10Speaker 1: What has happened to you? Always like to analyze my life.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I just be over here like yo, like we love
- 28:16Speaker 1: and then it'd be on the it'd be on the
- 28:18Speaker 1: entire episode. And now I'm just getting sucking calls and
- 28:20Speaker 1: be like, yo, why they keep talking about your life
- 28:22Speaker 1: on the episodes. I'm like, no Quai actually brought it up.
- 28:25Speaker 1: It's okay, it happens. Here's the thing. I'm talking about
- 28:28Speaker 1: my my life too. It's cool. It's cool. Therapy, it's cool.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You have a lifestyle specialist here to help you. And
- 28:34Speaker 1: you know, sometimes when you do, you hear things from people.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You know it's like, okay, I was thinking along the line.

- 30:28Speaker 1: But I like to use that a lot. You know,
- 30:31Speaker 1: you have to be you have to be really conscious
- 30:33Speaker 1: of the block and delete button because you, as a
- 30:36Speaker 1: human being, you can't help but feel some of the
- 30:38Speaker 1: comments because there's someone necessary. It's difference. It's a difference
- 30:42Speaker 1: between someone saying something that's, oh, you know what, I

- 31:06Speaker 1: my social media platform. That means this is everything quad
- 31:09Speaker 1: what I look like giving the next chick thirty minutes
- 31:12Speaker 1: of my time, holding a whole symposium talking about how
- 31:15Speaker 1: could I promote her like that? You know, especially she
- 31:19Speaker 1: doesn't deserve You're not on mine because you spend too
- 31:22Speaker 1: much money amplifying what you're doing, and too much time
- 31:25Speaker 1: and plifind putting the pieces of the puzzle together. But
- 31:27Speaker 1: you need to be about this message message. What does
- 31:40Speaker 1: Confucius saying that breathe on a mic with that. You
- 31:44Speaker 1: don't have to tell nobody that you're popping if you're popping.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I get tired of going on the ground and seeing
- 31:53Speaker 1: how much you believe in yourself but not really treating
- 31:57Speaker 1: yourself like the worthy person you are. You depend on
- 32:02Speaker 1: other people's appreciation and celebration there for you can't clearly
- 32:06Speaker 1: see how much of a blessing you are, how your
- 32:09Speaker 1: superpowers are meant to be shined upon the people. You
- 32:14Speaker 1: go out here in life some time time about you
- 32:17Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, because I got Actually you see me,
- 32:19Speaker 1: it's all. Don't nobody got to see nothing for it
- 32:22Speaker 1: to be true. You don't need nobody's validation, vacation a proclamation,
