- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing.
- 0:12Genuine issues. Brought to you by The
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities CE OS and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox, these recordings took place live from
- 0:22Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi, it's Adam here.
- 0:41Now, if you've ever thought that hypnosis could help you lose
- 0:43weight, then you've come to the right place.
- 0:46But in this hypnosis session, it isn't to start the journey, it's
- 0:50actually when you're more than halfway towards your goal.
- 0:54So this session is if you've already lost weight, but you're
- 0:57not quite at the destination yet.
- 0:59Because it's all about momentum. And it's all about feeling like
- 1:03everything you've done so far means that you're building the
- 1:06momentum to make it even easier to get to where you want to get
- 1:10to. Plus certain ideas that may
- 1:13facilitate either even more weight loss in a healthy way.
- 1:17But also it's not just about losing weight.
- 1:19It's about health, vitality, and feelings of the ability to
- 1:24maintain the weight when you actually get to the ideal weight
- 1:27for you. So if you feel like you're
- 1:29making loads of progress but you want to maintain it, this is the
- 1:32right session. But if you want to start the
- 1:35weight loss journey, I'll encourage you to check out
- 1:38another one of my recordings. So just kind of look for either
- 1:41a different podcast episode or a YouTube or check out my website
- 1:44for the downloads that I have and you'll be able to see those.
- 1:47But this is about maintaining it.
- 1:49And if you do like the idea of working with me directly to lose
- 1:53weight, check out the link in the description or the show
- 1:57notes where you can book a completely free consultation
- 2:00call to explore working with me directly.
- 2:02For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:05won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 2:49Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 2:58wonderful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:02And as you exhale, just allow a wonderful feeling of release,
- 3:11not just in your eyelids, but around the muscles in your face
- 3:17as you feel any tension leaving your body in your outward
- 3:22breath. Breathing in relaxation,
- 3:27exhaling tension. Each breath takes you deeper and
- 3:35deeper, relaxed. And as your body relaxes, you
- 3:43notice the tiny muscles around your neck, your chest, start to
- 3:51create an ease, enabling even deeper breathing.
- 4:00And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 4:07And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe, creating
- 4:13a wonderful cycle of ever increasing feelings of
- 4:20resourceful relaxation. So as you breathe in that
- 4:25resourcefulness, exhale the opposite.
- 4:30Any blocks, any tension, any stress, any worries, but also
- 4:38any ideas that are limiting in any way, just enable them to be
- 4:45released, to feel like they're leaving your body in that
- 4:51outward breath. Notice the rhythm of your
- 4:58breathing in and out, your shoulders, your chest, your
- 5:04diaphragm expanding. And as you exhale, embrace that
- 5:10release. And then steady, natural rhythm
- 5:15is signalling to your body that you are safe, you are calm and
- 5:23you are relaxing. And with each breath you can
- 5:27feel yourself drifting deeper, as if you're floating.
- 5:35And just imagine your physical body stays exactly where it is,
- 5:41but allow your imagination to float up out of your body.
- 5:47And as I countdown from 12:50, I want you to imagine that your
- 5:52imagination is on an adventure to find somewhere in nature.
- 6:00Somewhere in nature, on a sunny day under blue skies, maybe a
- 6:05forest, a beach, a lake, or perhaps a mountainside to allow
- 6:14your body to float upwards. 10 rising, feeling light. 9 Just
- 6:24imagine like a superhero flying through the sky, up above the
- 6:30clouds, and then 8 continuing that journey somewhere,
- 6:36somewhere in the world, somewhere beautiful and
- 6:40connected to nature. And seven, just feel that
- 6:46floating, gliding, wonderful sensation of getting away.
- 6:51And six, just imagine the landscape beneath you, cities,
- 6:58rivers, even oceans. That's five.
- 7:02You're halfway there to this place in nature, a place where
- 7:10you can really feel connected because this place in nature
- 7:19will represent the deepest parts of your subconscious mind.
- 7:24And then four, continuing on the journey, three, maybe seeing
- 7:29this place in nature up ahead, and two, gliding down closer to
- 7:37that place. And one, just imagine touching
- 7:41down there in that place. And 0 Imagine what it would feel
- 7:48to be completely relaxed and connected, and imagine yourself
- 7:54wearing whatever clothing is suitable for that place in
- 7:59nature. And as you reach this place,
- 8:06just allow your imagination to think of a mountain.
- 8:14And the mountain doesn't have to be where you are, you can just
- 8:17imagine it. And imagine a small snowball at
- 8:22the very top of that mountain. And imagine it starts to roll.
- 8:29Small at first, but it compounds, compacts, compresses.
- 8:36With each roll it gathers more snow, gaining size, strength and
- 8:43momentum. And at the start, perhaps it
- 8:48does need that little push. But before long, that snowball
- 8:54is gathering speed, gathering pace, and rolling all by itself,
- 9:02growing more powerful, easier, until it's inevitable.
- 9:08Gravity does all of the work for it.
- 9:14And I want you to connect with the idea of that snowball
- 9:20effect. Because you are not starting
- 9:24your journey. You are more than halfway, and I
- 9:31want you to take pride in all of the momentum you've already
- 9:36built. Every habit, every choice, every
- 9:43food that became an alternative, that became desirable, and that
- 9:50might be the time of day that you eat, what you eat, and even
- 9:57how slowly you eat it are all things that contributed to the
- 10:02momentum of that snowball effect.
- 10:07And maybe you can recall recent additions, something like buying
- 10:15a smoothie maker or a juicer, buying the right ingredients to
- 10:21make these healthy drinks, perhaps even being on a holiday
- 10:30and being surrounded by unhealthy food and yet choosing
- 10:35the healthy options. All of this has been
- 10:39compounding, gathering pace and momentum, meaning the final
- 10:49amount of weight you wish to lose is now easier than the same
- 10:55amount of weight at the beginning because you have
- 11:00momentum now, whereas it was a standing start before.
- 11:09So think about those smoothies, those healthy meals, those days
- 11:16that you looked at the amount of steps that exceeded 10 or 20,000
- 11:21steps. Feel all of that is evidence of
- 11:29your momentum and you can take pride in these actions because
- 11:36maybe to begin with some of these felt forced or they needed
- 11:42discipline. But as time went on, some of
- 11:47these things you enjoyed, you felt good, accomplished, you
- 11:54felt that you were moving in the right direction.
- 12:00And sometimes they felt like victories and sometimes like
- 12:05nothing, which shows just how much of a regular habit they
- 12:10became part of. The new identity you are
- 12:14creating because nobody wants to follow a diet, lose weight and
- 12:21go back to old habits and gain it again.
- 12:26You are building habits that will last a lifetime because
- 12:30you're not on a diet. You're training your mind and
- 12:34your brain to find a way of eating that helps you lose
- 12:39weight and then maintain that weight loss.
- 12:47And every now and then, whether it's a holiday or a busy period,
- 12:54you might plateau or stop a few of these habits.
- 13:03But I want you to consider a wonderful thing that you don't
- 13:08need to start from scratch. There is no bank to square one
- 13:13for you because those neural pathways, those habits of
- 13:19success are still within you and they can be awakened and all it
- 13:28takes is to do the thing again more than once. 2 smoothies
- 13:36reawakens the smoothie habit. A couple of days of regular
- 13:43steps reawakens The Walking habit.
- 13:48Healthy meals in a packed lunch reawakens food preparation as a
- 13:53habit. You are just a couple of days
- 13:58away from reactivating any healthy habit because you have
- 14:05that muscle memory and those neural pathways so suddenly that
- 14:11it can click. And the rhythm returns because
- 14:15your body and mind remember exactly what to do.
- 14:23Because you know that momentum is now on your side.
- 14:30And as momentum builds every now and then, it's good to surprise
- 14:35your metabolism. And don't be surprised if you
- 14:39feel inspired to take on new challenges.
- 14:47And let's plant a seed of an idea of a healthy challenge that
- 14:51could surprise your metabolism and further contribute to the
- 14:58momentum already built. I want you to get a feeling that
- 15:05every night you sleep, you are fasting.
- 15:10That's why breakfast is called breakfast, because you break the
- 15:13fast and therefore there's been many times you've spent 810,
- 15:21even 12 hours without food. Because if your last meal of the
- 15:27day is 5 or 6, and breakfast is maybe 7 or 8 the following day,
- 15:35then you already know how to have 12 hours without food.
- 15:43But let's say that you did that intentionally outside of just
- 15:48sleeping. You already know from your
- 15:52smoothies that your body shifts into a cleaner state, that all
- 16:01of the energy it doesn't need to digest, it can deploy to give
- 16:04you clarity, energy, vitality. But I want you to imagine what
- 16:12it would feel like if one day you forget to bring lunch with
- 16:17you to work. Rather than it being a
- 16:20nightmare, what if it's a wonderful surprise, an
- 16:27opportunity to instigate fasting during the day, to create new
- 16:35neural pathways, to build on that momentum, to shake up that
- 16:41metabolism, to train your body to harness the power of ketosis.
- 16:52And you can consider ketosis just a switch where you move
- 16:58from using food as fuel to body fat as fuel.
- 17:05So whenever you go to sleep hungry and wake up the next day
- 17:09not hungry, you've activated that switch.
- 17:14And every time you miss a meal, you're encouraging your body and
- 17:18your brain to harness energy from that body fat.
- 17:25And the very first time you have 24 hours without food, know that
- 17:34your body will deplete that glycogen, activate that ketosis.
- 17:42Training your body to burn fat, not forcing it to, but training
- 17:47it to. And because you know you've got
- 17:51many days of energy in body fat, you can trust the process and
- 17:57it's safety, knowing that you're going to feel lighter, sharper
- 18:02and more focused. And perhaps after two days, a
- 18:09wonderful process called autophagy starts to happen.
- 18:15Consider it an army of tiny cells within your body, spring
- 18:23cleaning, looking for dead cells and old proteins and using that
- 18:31as fuel. Your body gets healthier your
- 18:35spring cleaning from the inside, and it puts all of that almost
- 18:42like a biological recycling program.
- 18:48It can use those dead cells, old proteins as fuel.
- 18:56And maybe a day after fill, your body is doing the deep healing
- 19:02that follows the spring, cleaning and perhaps repairing
- 19:07things that your body doesn't even realize right now could
- 19:11benefit from that healing. I want you to feel that every
- 19:16time you do a two or three day fast.
- 19:20What if you're preventing future illnesses that you didn't even
- 19:26realize could be on their way? And they say prevention is
- 19:32better than cure. And I want you to feel not only
- 19:38are you training your body to burn fat, but you are preventing
- 19:44future illnesses. But you don't have to do this.
- 19:51It could just be a challenge that naturally builds on the
- 19:57momentum and the foundations that you've already laid.
- 20:05And I want you to feel that each stage is not a struggle, but a
- 20:08triumph as your mind starts thinking this fasting not as
- 20:15hunger and starvation, but as a gift to your body, a way of
- 20:21unlocking even greater energy and health.
- 20:29And you can feel proud. Proud of how far you've come,
- 20:36proud of how much easier it is now than it was before.
- 20:41Proud of the clothes you get to wear, and even proud of the
- 20:46clothes you get to throw away or donate to a charity shop.
- 20:51Because you are gaining strength, confidence and
- 20:55control. You are on the journey.
- 21:01And that snowball will only stop when you get to the desired
- 21:09weight and body shape. But for now and from this moment
- 21:16on, whenever you think of smoothies or juices, healthy
- 21:23eating, walking or fasting, you will feel a tailwind of that
- 21:29snowball going down the hill. You will feel that momentum and
- 21:38you were carried forward with a sense of ease.
- 21:44Almost like things that used to be challenging can now feel
- 21:47effortless. Because your progress is
- 21:53inevitable. And I want you to imagine
- 21:59visiting one more place. I want you to imagine visiting
- 22:06that future version of you where you've already got to your ideal
- 22:11weight. See that version of you.
- 22:18And you can see their face, their body shape, the clothes
- 22:21they're wearing. And I want you to feel how
- 22:26inevitable it feels. Not that it could be you in the
- 22:32future, but that it will be you in the future.
- 22:38And then step into that future version of you and just get a
- 22:41feeling like when you're trying on clothes and changing room,
- 22:46how good it feels to be this weight, this light with this
- 22:50much energy and this healthy. And just reaffirm this is
- 22:57exactly where you're heading. We need to feel it's time to
- 23:04return back to your present. But take this feeling of being
- 23:09this weight with you giving your mind a blueprint, almost like a
- 23:16treasure map where X marks the spot.
- 23:20And this is exactly where your future is.
- 23:29As I count from 1:00 to 10:00, you will imagine floating all
- 23:32the way back into your body and awakening at the point where I
- 23:36get to 10. So take a deep breath in through
- 23:39your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:44Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 23:47Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 23:53from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 23:59Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 24:06Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 24:10Wide awake. Wide awake.
- 24:13Wide awake. Thank you so much for joining me
