- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Well, how is this for a good morning story?
- 0:09Speaker 2: So to kick off your celebrity quickie today.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Smallville actor Tom Welling, he made headlines over the weekend
- 0:15Speaker 3: when he accidentally posted a nude.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Accidentally. You don't think it was.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Did you see this?
- 0:21Speaker 1: No, I saw it. I think he... Hold on, hold on.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Let me tell the story. So he was at a
- 0:26Speaker 2: hotel in New York.
- 0:28Speaker 3: He was trying to show off the view of the
- 0:30Speaker 3: city that he had in this hotel, okay?
- 0:32Speaker 1: It's a big view.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Was it?
- 0:35Speaker 3: He took a picture out the window of all the
- 0:38Speaker 3: buildings and the street and everything and the sun rising
- 0:42Speaker 3: and then he posted that photo.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Well, it took.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Milliseconds for people to realize that he was naked while
- 0:50Speaker 3: taking this photo and you could see all of him
- 0:53Speaker 3: in the reflection of the window.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Finally giving fans what they've wanted for decades.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Smallville actor, you know.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Smallville actor, big dreams.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yes, yes, for sure. But yeah, so he kind of
- 1:06Speaker 3: went viral over the weekend. He did delete that post, but.
- 1:10Speaker 1: He- After 10 hours.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Was it 10 hours?
- 1:12Speaker 1: He kept it up for 10 hours, Nina. This is
- 1:14Speaker 1: why I'm like the dude, like if you go 10
- 1:17Speaker 1: hours without checking Instagram, first of all, who are you?
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And then second of all, that's why I think he
- 1:21Speaker 1: did it on purpose.
- 1:23Speaker 2: He kept it up for sure on purpose. I kept
- 1:25Speaker 2: it up for forever.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Okay, once he noticed, he was like, eh.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, all right.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And then his publicist is calling him nonstop, like, please
- 1:33Speaker 3: take down this photo.
- 1:34Speaker 1: For the love of God, take it down.
- 1:36Speaker 3: But do you remember when this happened at DIA a
- 1:38Speaker 3: couple years ago? Something similar happened a few years ago.
- 1:42Speaker 3: A pilot was at that hotel. that weird shaped hotel.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And didn't know that the windows are see-through, which I'm sorry,
- 1:51Speaker 3: I'm kind of on the pilot side on that part
- 1:53Speaker 3: of it. Those windows should not be see-through. But he
- 1:56Speaker 3: was naked in his own hotel room and staring out
- 1:59Speaker 3: the window and didn't realize all the cars driving by
- 2:02Speaker 3: to drop people off at the airport. They could all
- 2:05Speaker 3: see him. So whoopsies. Just watch those reflections is all.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It's just one of those things. It's like all dudes,
- 2:12Speaker 1: they pick their nose in the car thinking no one
- 2:13Speaker 1: can see them. People can see you. Just be aware
- 2:16Speaker 1: of that. But Tom Welling, good looking dude. I mean,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I'm sure every woman in the world and a lot
- 2:20Speaker 1: of guys, too, were like, hey, man, good for you.
- 2:22Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll rewatch that show.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Absolutely. Well, Shane Gillis is in the news today because
- 2:27Speaker 1: he hosted SNL for the third time over the weekend.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And he, in Shane Gillis fashion, went off script a
- 2:35Speaker 1: little bit and ended up accidentally doing the one thing
- 2:37Speaker 1: you're not supposed to do on a live TV show.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He dropped the F-bomb.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Not good.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Dropped the bomb. But it is kind of, in a way,
- 2:46Speaker 1: not refreshing that he did it, but refreshing to see
- 2:49Speaker 1: that SNL still is a live skit show. It is live.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A lot of times, people are like, oh, there's a
- 2:53Speaker 1: tape delay, or it's recorded. No, no, no, no, no.
- 2:56Speaker 1: This was as live as live can be, you know?
- 2:58Speaker 2: For sure, yeah. So, whoopsies!
- 3:00Speaker 1: Unfortunately, yeah. But I will say, he did kind of
- 3:03Speaker 1: handle it well. He acknowledged it right away, being like, oh, no,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I shouldn't have done that. But also, Mikey Day, who's
- 3:10Speaker 1: one of my favorite SNL cast members, was funny enough
- 3:14Speaker 1: to go along with it and then ended up saying,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you know what? You're a loser and you said a
- 3:18Speaker 1: bad word. A kind of off script in which Gillis replied,
- 3:20Speaker 1: you know what? Yes, I did. The moment was kind
- 3:22Speaker 1: of funny. And it adds to his story of SNL.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I mean, we all know he was fired in 2019.
- 3:28Speaker 1: He returned as a host in 2024, again in 2025.
- 3:31Speaker 1: His opening monologues are what they are. Yeah. You know,
- 3:36Speaker 1: a lot of people like him, a lot of people don't.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So he's one of the very polarizing, recurring characters now
- 3:42Speaker 1: on SNL.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Well, whether you like him or not, this is his
- 3:44Speaker 3: third time hosting it, so good on him.
- 3:46Speaker 1: It might be his last. He has not dropped an
- 3:48Speaker 1: F-bomb before. He should know better.
- 3:50Speaker 2: If anyone should know better, it's definitely him.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, this might be his last.
- 3:54Speaker 3: And real quick, just want to give a shout out
- 3:56Speaker 3: since we're talking about SNL.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Rosalia did the musical performance.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Crushed it. I was not familiar with her live game.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Oh, she's so good.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Holy cow.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Oh, she's amazing.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Unbelievable. I got to start listening more to her because
- 4:11Speaker 1: I was not familiar.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you better get familiar.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Shout out to her.
- 4:15Speaker 2: She's great.
- 4:15Speaker 3: So you can catch all those videos. They're up on
- 4:17Speaker 3: YouTube right now. That is your Celebrity Quickie on Denver's
- 4:20Speaker 3: Morning Show. Catch it again next hour with more stories.
- 4:24Speaker 3: And we are going to continue talking about our weekend because, Josh,
- 4:27Speaker 3: you and I got a little competitive. And I definitely failed.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, I feel like
- 4:33Speaker 3: we both failed a little.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well, we definitely did. And I got to tell you
- 4:35Speaker 1: something you probably don't know about it yet.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Uh-oh. Okay, we're going to talk about that at 6.30
- 4:39Speaker 3: on Mix 100. It's Denver's Morning Show with Nina and
- 4:43Speaker 3: Josh on Mix 100. And we are live on YouTube
- 4:47Speaker 3: just like we are every morning. Go ahead and subscribe
- 4:50Speaker 3: at Mix 100 Denver. It is brought to you by Safeway.

- 5:04Speaker 3: So, Josh, over the weekend, we had quite the weekend
- 5:08Speaker 3: on Saturday morning. I kicked things off over at Elitch
- 5:11Speaker 3: Gardens for the Pet Parade. That was so cute. Mix 100,
- 5:16Speaker 3: we were a part of it, I think, years and
- 5:18Speaker 3: years ago, kind of took a break from that.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And now we are back with Elitch Gardens throwing the
- 5:22Speaker 2: Pet Parade. The cutest thing of my life. I'm so
- 5:25Speaker 2: happy we are back.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I also brought my dog Bonzo with me, and I
- 5:30Speaker 3: don't take him to a lot of public places.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I used to, but my other dog that we adopted.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Is just very poorly behaved with other dogs in public.
- 5:39Speaker 1: He's a bad boy.
- 5:39Speaker 2: He is a bad boy. But, you know, it's just
- 5:42Speaker 2: part of his background, whatever. He was adopted.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Fair enough, fair enough.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 5:48Speaker 3: So I never bring my other dog, who is good
- 5:50Speaker 3: in public, out because I feel bad bringing one and
- 5:53Speaker 3: not the other.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, of course.
- 5:54Speaker 3: But this time around, I was like, listen, it's the
- 5:55Speaker 3: pet parade. It would be fun to bring him in
- 5:58Speaker 3: a little costume, and I brought him, and he did
- 6:00Speaker 3: so good. And I was like such a proud mom
- 6:03Speaker 3: of my dog, but he did so good and went
- 6:05Speaker 3: up on stage, and it was a lot of fun
- 6:07Speaker 3: for the Mix 100 and Elitch Gardens Pet Parade on Saturday.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Then on Sunday, we went over downtown Tivoli Quad at
- 6:16Speaker 3: the Auraria campus for the Making Strides Walk.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And that was so great, Josh.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a huge event. I mean, the turnout
- 6:25Speaker 1: was insane. It was more people than I've ever seen.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We worked it years ago. We've been doing it for
- 6:29Speaker 1: so long. Yeah. And to be a part of it again,
- 6:31Speaker 1: it's such a cool event. You are doing something for
- 6:35Speaker 1: a good cause. There were a couple moments there, Nina,
- 6:37Speaker 1: that kind of brought me close to tears. Oh, yeah.
- 6:40Speaker 1: People shared their stories. When the walk starts, a bunch
- 6:43Speaker 1: of motorcyclists come and rev their engines and you just
- 6:46Speaker 1: see hundreds and hundreds of people getting ready to take
- 6:49Speaker 1: this walk it's it's a beautiful thing to see really
- 6:51Speaker 1: it really is.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Just this wave of pink and it's breast cancer awareness
- 6:56Speaker 3: they're also fundraising um as well for the american cancer
- 6:59Speaker 3: society and it was it was a great beautiful day
- 7:03Speaker 3: yeah and so yeah like you said hearing some of
- 7:06Speaker 3: the speeches it makes you very emotional it is emotional
- 7:09Speaker 3: stuff it's okay to get emotional you.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Know i mean it's a heavy it's a Heavy subject
- 7:13Speaker 1: that you don't try to make light of, but you
- 7:15Speaker 1: try to have fun with the event that day. Right.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Because it is a lot of fun. There was a
- 7:18Speaker 1: lot of different pop-up stands and things to do. You
- 7:20Speaker 1: and I were kicking soccer balls. We were chit-chatting with
- 7:23Speaker 1: the people that were there. Again, there was so much pink.
- 7:24Speaker 1: There was a photo booth that we had fun there.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And then to go back a little bit, because I
- 7:28Speaker 1: do want to talk about the Pet Parade. Two things.
- 7:31Speaker 1: First of all, your outfit was awesome.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Your dress was so cool. I've never seen a dress
- 7:35Speaker 1: with a skeleton bone outline.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Like x-ray type of thing.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Really, really cool. I really liked that. And then
- 7:42Speaker 1: on top of that, I have to know, What was
- 7:45Speaker 1: your favorite outfit that you saw or dress up from
- 7:49Speaker 1: the dog? Did people go together and dress up with
- 7:52Speaker 1: their dog? Yes. What was your favorite part of that?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Because I know you were the judge, too.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yes, I was the judge. So that's why I couldn't
- 7:57Speaker 2: walk my dog.
- 7:58Speaker 3: And I didn't intend to have him participate, but he
- 8:01Speaker 3: kind of had to in order to be there.
- 8:04Speaker 2: So my dog lost, by the way, so it wasn't rigged.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Okay, good. That was my third question. Okay, good. He did.
- 8:09Speaker 1: He lost.
- 8:09Speaker 2: He lost.
- 8:10Speaker 3: But no, one of my favorite costumes, there was two that,
- 8:14Speaker 3: in particular, that really jump out at me, because one,
- 8:16Speaker 3: I think, was a homemade costume for their dog, which
- 8:18Speaker 3: I thought was just really, really cool, very creative, and
- 8:22Speaker 3: it was Deadpool and Wolverine. And the dog was dressed
- 8:26Speaker 3: up as Wolverine, and he had this Wolverine helmet, and
- 8:29Speaker 3: this was a big boy, I don't know what kind
- 8:32Speaker 3: of dog it was, maybe like giant chocolate lab, but
- 8:34Speaker 3: this chocolate lab you know, was not starving.
- 8:37Speaker 1: He was a chunker.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a big boy.
- 8:39Speaker 1: He was a king-sized chocolate. There we go. Yes.
- 8:42Speaker 3: But he had this Wolverine helmet, and I'm pretty sure
- 8:45Speaker 3: it was homemade, like papier-mâché almost.
- 8:47Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So they won for, I think, most creative, and I
- 8:51Speaker 3: just thought that was really good, and the fact that
- 8:52Speaker 3: the owner dressed up as Deadpool with him was just,
- 8:55Speaker 3: it was so good.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:56Speaker 3: And then the other one, they also won, it was
- 9:00Speaker 3: best group duo. It was this whole family, and they
- 9:03Speaker 3: dressed up as like Carnival, carnival theme, and the dog
- 9:08Speaker 3: was a lion.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:10Speaker 3: The dad was wearing, like, a muscle suit. He was
- 9:12Speaker 3: strong man. The mom was wearing a beard. She was
- 9:15Speaker 3: the bearded lady.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:16Speaker 3: They had two sons, and they were kind of the
- 9:19Speaker 3: carnival guys.
- 9:21Speaker 2: That, you know, they do the lion taming.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 1: The ringmaster, essentially.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Yes, the ringmasters. And the whole family was dressed up
- 9:28Speaker 2: as different carnival people.
- 9:29Speaker 1: That's the best. I love that one. It was so cute.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That one would probably win for me because you've incorporated
- 9:34Speaker 1: the entire family. Yes. And that's really, really cute to see.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But then also the dog's a lion. I know. That's
- 9:39Speaker 1: so adorable.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's so cute.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I love that.
- 9:41Speaker 3: They all got up on stage together and it was really,
- 9:44Speaker 3: really good.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So they were one of the winners as well.
- 9:46Speaker 1: So a lot of good costumes. Well, I do want
- 9:47Speaker 1: to say, yeah, I saw some pics that are posted.
- 9:50Speaker 1: They're on Mix 100 right now on our socials. Go
- 9:52Speaker 1: look at those because the dogs are so cute. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: saw one that was like Dorothy and instead of Toto,
- 9:57Speaker 1: because that's the normal route you'd go. Right. Dorothy and
- 10:00Speaker 1: her little picnic basket.
- 10:01Speaker 2: The dog was the picnic basket.
- 10:03Speaker 1: The cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. So
- 10:05Speaker 1: that was cute. You have a bunch of pictures that
- 10:07Speaker 1: you threw up there as well. So go check those
- 10:08Speaker 1: out on our socials at Mix 100. On Instagram and Facebook,
- 10:11Speaker 1: because you'll have a laugh. It was so cute.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Go and do that.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And we're running out of time right here, Josh, so
- 10:16Speaker 3: we're going to have to talk about it later.
- 10:17Speaker 2: But we got competitive.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Yes, sorry.
- 10:21Speaker 2: We got real competitive, and we're going to have to
- 10:22Speaker 2: talk about that.
- 10:23Speaker 3: We'll talk about that at right about 7 o'clock, so
- 10:26Speaker 3: keep it right here with Mix 100. Three things you
- 10:28Speaker 3: need to know before you go into the office today.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Like the Premier League's 13th annual Fan Festival. was in
- 10:34Speaker 3: Denver this weekend. So it does go around to different cities,
- 10:38Speaker 3: and it shows off all the games that are going
- 10:40Speaker 3: on across the pond in the UK, Arsenal, and places
- 10:44Speaker 3: like that.
- 10:46Speaker 2: When Denver was chosen.
- 10:47Speaker 3: To host, soccer fans everywhere were a little bit surprised,
- 10:51Speaker 3: to be honest, that it was happening in Denver, but
- 10:54Speaker 3: they were excited because Denver has become such a soccer city.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Of course, with the Rapids, we have our Denver Summit,
- 11:03Speaker 3: and there's so much going on with soccer and Denver.
- 11:06Speaker 3: And then the fact that Premier League's Fan Fest is here,
- 11:10Speaker 3: or was here this past weekend, it was on Saturday
- 11:12Speaker 3: and Sunday, It was just amazing, and people were excited
- 11:15Speaker 3: about it. It was hosted over at Union Station. I
- 11:17Speaker 3: saw the videos. I saw the photos.
- 11:19Speaker 2: People were lining up like 3 o'clock in the morning.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so I have two pretty good friends, and they
- 11:25Speaker 1: both texted me. They were like, hey, man, what are
- 11:26Speaker 1: you doing? You want to come and celebrate this? And
- 11:29Speaker 1: I was like, hey. I'm already up very early in
- 11:32Speaker 1: the mornings during the weekdays. I was like, I like
- 11:34Speaker 1: to try to use my weekends to catch up on sleep.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So I missed out on this, but earlier this year, Arsenal,
- 11:41Speaker 1: who is owned by Kroenke, so we are part of
- 11:43Speaker 1: KSC Enterprises here, and we had the Arsenal bring their
- 11:48Speaker 1: Premier League Champions trophy To Colorado.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Oh, sweet.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I signed up to go see that because I am
- 11:54Speaker 1: a European football fan. I love the Rapids. I love MLS.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But Euro football is a completely different level. It's the GOAT.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 12:00Speaker 1: The fandom of the world. I mean, people love this.
- 12:02Speaker 1: So I was like, I need to see this Premier
- 12:04Speaker 1: League trophy. I want to see it. Yeah. I got
- 12:06Speaker 1: to see it. It was unbelievable. I got a picture
- 12:09Speaker 1: with it. It was awesome. And then I saw that
- 12:11Speaker 1: they were going to do that over the weekend. And
- 12:14Speaker 1: I wanted to go so bad, but I did choose
- 12:16Speaker 1: sleep over it. So next time they come, fingers crossed,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I will be there. But it's a really cool event.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I had so many friends sending me pictures and videos
- 12:25Speaker 1: of what it looked like at 3.30 in the morning
- 12:27Speaker 1: as they lined up for it. Soccer fandom is the
- 12:31Speaker 1: most amazing thing I've ever seen.
- 12:32Speaker 2: It's different.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You guys are crazy.
- 12:33Speaker 3: It is different for sure. But it's just so passionate
- 12:37Speaker 3: and so out there and wild. And it's really, really cool.
- 12:40Speaker 3: So this Premier League's Fan Fest, it launched in 2017.
- 12:44Speaker 3: This is the first time it was in Denver. Overall,
- 12:46Speaker 3: it's brought in more than 120,000 attendees.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Wow.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And now with Denver, we added a couple thousand more
- 12:53Speaker 2: to that.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I love it. All right. So this is the question
- 12:55Speaker 1: that I have for everybody today. What the heck is today?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Is it a paid holiday? We don't know. Happy Indigenous
- 13:01Speaker 1: Peoples Day, Columbus Day. I have no idea what we're
- 13:05Speaker 1: celebrating right now or what's going on, but I love it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And it's funny. The United States doesn't really know what's
- 13:10Speaker 1: going on right now. Right now, there are 20 states
- 13:14Speaker 1: that have made today a paid holiday. Colorado is not
- 13:18Speaker 1: one of them. But then Delaware, they replaced Columbus Day
- 13:21Speaker 1: altogether way back in 2009 with a floating holiday. So
- 13:25Speaker 1: you can choose whatever day you want to take off.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Oklahoma celebrates the second Monday as Oklahoma Native American Day.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Tennessee is substituted both days for the Friday off for
- 13:35Speaker 1: Thanksgiving so that you get a four day week. We
- 13:37Speaker 1: literally don't know what we're doing today.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It's just all over the place.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I completely understand that a lot of people disagree with
- 13:44Speaker 1: celebrating Columbus Day and I totally get that. I kind
- 13:47Speaker 1: of like the Indigenous Peoples Day. I'm kind of for that.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I do too.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But it's just so funny how we literally have no
- 13:52Speaker 1: idea what's going on. So celebrate today however you want.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You know what? Take a day off on in November
- 13:57Speaker 1: if you want to. It doesn't really matter, I guess.
- 13:58Speaker 1: This is totally up to your own interpretation.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Tell your boss you observe it, okay?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, get the day off, actually.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Go ahead, go ahead.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Why are we here?
- 14:08Speaker 2: And a viral video over the weekend.
- 14:10Speaker 3: This is not the greatest story, because a tiger mauled
- 14:15Speaker 3: a man to death at a zoo in the UK.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 14:18Speaker 3: But this man climbed into the enclosure. I don't know
- 14:22Speaker 3: what he was thinking. I don't know if he wanted
- 14:24Speaker 3: to try to go viral. It certainly did go viral,
- 14:26Speaker 3: but he didn't make it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He's not around to see it.
- 14:28Speaker 2: No.
- 14:29Speaker 3: So yeah, this video was all over. It did make
- 14:32Speaker 3: it to my feed. Josh, did it make it to
- 14:34Speaker 3: your feed?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and I didn't watch the whole... I was like,
- 14:38Speaker 3: as soon as I saw the headline that he did
- 14:40Speaker 3: pass away, I.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Was like, scroll.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Am I about to watch someone die?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, scroll.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I don't want to do that. We're not going to
- 14:44Speaker 3: do that. But yeah, he went into the enclosure himself.
- 14:48Speaker 3: He climbed over a fence to get into it. It
- 14:51Speaker 3: wasn't by accident by any means. They did eventually get
- 14:54Speaker 3: him out of the enclosure with a lot of big injuries.
- 14:58Speaker 3: That tiger was attacking him.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's the thing. I don't understand what... What goes through
- 15:05Speaker 1: your thought process? I don't know if you're on something.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I really don't. I don't understand. Why on God's green
- 15:11Speaker 1: earth would you choose to go to a lion, a
- 15:15Speaker 1: tiger enclosure?
- 15:16Speaker 3: Anything.
- 15:16Speaker 1: These are wild animals at the zoo. It does not
- 15:19Speaker 1: matter what enclosure. The monkey enclosure. They're going to attack you.
- 15:22Speaker 2: They're going to attack. Exactly. They attack each other.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Remember Punch the Monkey? I don't understand this.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Exactly. It is interesting.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I mean, the zoo has put out a message to everyone.
- 15:32Speaker 3: They express their condolences to the family. I mean, a
- 15:35Speaker 3: life was lost.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:37Speaker 3: But they also did notify to the public that that
- 15:40Speaker 3: I'll tie. I think the name is I'll tie the tiger.
- 15:44Speaker 3: is not going to be euthanized. So people were wondering. Yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 3: I think so too. Good.
- 15:48Speaker 1: It's like, come into my territory, dude. Like, I dare you.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 15:52Speaker 1: The tiger did nothing. I'm sorry, I hate to say
- 15:54Speaker 1: it because life was lost. The tiger did nothing wrong.
- 15:57Speaker 2: No, the tiger did what the tiger is supposed to do.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You know? And so.
- 16:02Speaker 3: This man, I mean, it is terrible that he lost
- 16:04Speaker 3: his life and now his family has to deal with this.
- 16:06Speaker 3: This is worldwide news. This happened in the UK. We're
- 16:09Speaker 3: talking about it right here in Denver. But yeah, this
- 16:12Speaker 3: is worldwide news and the family has to deal with it.
- 16:14Speaker 3: And it was just due to who knows what he
- 16:17Speaker 3: was thinking. But yeah, I don't know if it was
- 16:19Speaker 3: for a viral thing or ha ha, this will be funny. Like,
- 16:22Speaker 3: watch what happens and don't worry, I'll be back out.
- 16:24Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 16:25Speaker 2: These are wild animals.
- 16:26Speaker 1: That's kind of what happens in this day and age
- 16:28Speaker 1: where people will do anything to be on the internet
- 16:30Speaker 1: and go viral. Yeah. And it has resulted in many
- 16:33Speaker 1: lives lost because they are literally willing to do anything.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It's a sad reality of the world right now.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it really, really is. That is no before
- 16:41Speaker 2: you go.
- 16:42Speaker 3: But, you know, speaking about doing anything for the gram, Josh,
- 16:46Speaker 3: we kind.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Of did that yesterday. Yeah, we'll talk about that at
- 16:51Speaker 2: seven on Mix 100.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yesterday, Josh, we were downtown-ish at the Tivoli Quad at
- 16:57Speaker 3: the Auraria campus. Had a good time over there because
- 17:00Speaker 3: we were there for Making Strides Colorado to... benefit the
- 17:04Speaker 3: American Cancer Society for breast cancer awareness.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And while that event, it was very fun.
- 17:11Speaker 3: It was a little emotional because people are there sharing
- 17:14Speaker 3: their stories. I had some friends come by. Thank you
- 17:17Speaker 3: to my friends who stopped by, did the little walk
- 17:20Speaker 3: with me. We were all wearing pink and having a
- 17:23Speaker 3: great time out there. And then after the walk, Josh,
- 17:26Speaker 3: I was kind of walking around a little bit, looking
- 17:29Speaker 3: at things. Because all the people, everyone else was still
- 17:31Speaker 3: during that walk. So the crowd kind of thinned out.
- 17:34Speaker 3: So I got a good look at everything that was
- 17:36Speaker 3: going on. And all of a sudden... I see this
- 17:40Speaker 3: obstacle course, this inflatable obstacle course. And I was like,
- 17:45Speaker 3: where is Josh? We need to grab a couple of
- 17:47Speaker 3: promo people, a couple of cameras, and we are going
- 17:50Speaker 3: through this obstacle course.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Which I mean, by the way, if you, you know
- 17:53Speaker 1: what an inflatable obstacle obstacle course is, it's made for children.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It's made for children. This is made for kids, kid size. Okay.
- 17:59Speaker 1: First of all, so let's, let's just start with that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But then second of all, This was an unsupervised obstacle course.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I don't know where the person was that was manning it.
- 18:07Speaker 2: We tried to look around a little bit.
- 18:08Speaker 1: We poked around.
- 18:09Speaker 2: We tried to be good people.
- 18:10Speaker 1: We did.
- 18:10Speaker 2: We were like, hey, we're going to go on this,
- 18:12Speaker 2: by the way.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But if you leave us alone too long, we will
- 18:16Speaker 1: use the things that we're probably not supposed to. Yes.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So we did the obstacle course.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It was so much fun. It was. Not to brag.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Go ahead. Fine.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Don't care. Whatever.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying I'm as competitive as can be. You
- 18:32Speaker 1: know what? That's funny. I actually had, I'm not kidding,
- 18:35Speaker 1: like 15 or 16 people swipe up on my story
- 18:38Speaker 1: because of that. Yeah. And they go, like, essentially all
- 18:40Speaker 1: the same thing. Wow, glad to see the competitive bone
- 18:42Speaker 1: in your body hasn't left yet. No, for real. No, but, like,
- 18:46Speaker 1: you say. You killed me.
- 18:47Speaker 2: You killed me in that for sure.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm still, okay, in my head, I'm still, like, 19. Right.
- 18:53Speaker 1: And at, like, the peak of my athletic ability, okay?
- 18:55Speaker 2: You're good, yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Okay. Physically, I'm not like that anymore. No! Welcome to
- 18:59Speaker 1: your 30s!
- 19:00Speaker 2: And that's a different story.
- 19:03Speaker 1: So I didn't notice this, especially when it was going.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So I truly went so fast down that I lost
- 19:09Speaker 1: my shoe. And then on top of that, I had
- 19:11Speaker 1: no idea. I... skinned my knees so badly.
- 19:16Speaker 2: No, you didn't.
- 19:17Speaker 1: They're rubbing against my pants right now. Well, I'm wearing pants, obviously.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Do you need a Band-Aid?
- 19:22Speaker 1: No, but I didn't notice until I got in the
- 19:25Speaker 1: shower later that day, and the hot water brought me
- 19:29Speaker 1: to my knees, essentially, in the shower, where I was
- 19:32Speaker 1: just like... It hurts so bad. Both of them. Because
- 19:37Speaker 1: if you watch the video, go to Mix 100, on
- 19:40Speaker 1: social media, I dove through the first part. That's when
- 19:44Speaker 1: I lost my shoe, and I think that's when I
- 19:47Speaker 1: skinned my knees. That's when you skinned your knees? across
- 19:50Speaker 1: the first part of it. My kneecaps right now are raw.
- 19:55Speaker 1: They're so red. And even right now, as I'm standing
- 20:00Speaker 1: to speak on the mic, they're rubbing against my pants
- 20:02Speaker 1: right now and it hurts so bad. Had no idea
- 20:05Speaker 1: that I even did that. But that's just a part
- 20:07Speaker 1: of me. I'm getting older. I probably wouldn't have done
- 20:09Speaker 1: that when I was young.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I've just been more athletic. Yeah, exactly. And your skin
- 20:13Speaker 2: is thinning. All of it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I'm not even going to say an age group.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm not that old.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I love it.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I love it. You know what?
- 20:21Speaker 3: The fact that I lost and I was salty about
- 20:24Speaker 3: that because I kept losing my sunglasses.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I blame it on my sunglasses, by the way.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yes, by the way.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I wore them and I shouldn't. And yes, they are
- 20:31Speaker 3: the knockoff Pradas, but they were still expensive.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 20:37Speaker 3: But the fact that I lost to you, I still
- 20:39Speaker 3: get to gloat that you're an old man.
- 20:41Speaker 2: And you thought, you thought, Josh.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I did. Aha. I did. Everything hurts.
- 20:46Speaker 2: So this is awkward.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Actor Tobey Maguire, he stepped up to officiate his ex-wife's
- 20:54Speaker 3: wedding this past weekend.
- 20:56Speaker 1: What?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 3: So he was the officiant marrying his ex-wife to her
- 21:02Speaker 3: new man, who, by the way, is a billionaire.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Oh, I get what he's... He's playing the long game, Nina. Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 2: He's playing along.
- 21:10Speaker 1: He's waiting for that.
- 21:11Speaker 2: You have to.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Oh, he's waiting for that divorce. She's going to get
- 21:14Speaker 1: half a Billy, and then they're going to be fine.
- 21:16Speaker 1: They're going to get back together.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Oh, half a Billy. Yeah, you know what?
- 21:19Speaker 3: I think you're onto something there, because the whole timeline
- 21:23Speaker 3: of the relationship with Tobey Maguire, his ex-wife, and this
- 21:26Speaker 3: new guy, the timeline is weird. So let me break
- 21:28Speaker 3: it down real quick. So Tobey and Jennifer is her name.
- 21:32Speaker 3: They married in 2007. Were married for a hot minute there.
- 21:36Speaker 3: They separated in 2016. OK, they filed for divorce in 2020.
- 21:41Speaker 3: This is already drawn out from their separation from 2016.
- 21:45Speaker 3: But get this, Josh, their divorce was not finalized until
- 21:50Speaker 3: a month ago. One month ago is when they finally
- 21:54Speaker 3: finalized their divorce. They separated in 2016, filed for divorce
- 21:57Speaker 3: in 2020, was not finalized until last month of 2026.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Isn't that kind of crazy?
- 22:05Speaker 1: That's so weird. That makes zero sense to me.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And now she's getting married to this billionaire.
- 22:09Speaker 3: But I will say that Jennifer, she did have this
- 22:12Speaker 3: billionaire's baby earlier this summer.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Again, long game.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Let's throw that into the mix.
- 22:18Speaker 3: But yeah, Tobey Maguire, he was the officiant at their
- 22:22Speaker 3: wedding this past weekend.
- 22:23Speaker 1: You know what? Maybe he and the billionaire dude are
- 22:25Speaker 1: just buddies. And I don't know. Honestly, I don't know
- 22:29Speaker 1: how to explain that.
- 22:30Speaker 2: No, there is none. There is none. It's just a
- 22:32Speaker 2: weird situation. And that's okay.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I guess so. Well, you know what? Good for him.
- 22:35Speaker 1: He's still my favorite Spider-Man. So it's all good. All right, Nina,
- 22:39Speaker 1: we got to talk about this whole Kelly Clarkson fiasco.
- 22:42Speaker 1: If you have been not living under a rock, you
- 22:45Speaker 1: have seen that she is P.O.'d. Like she is mad
- 22:50Speaker 1: at this tiny little hole in the wall company because
- 22:54Speaker 1: of essentially she says they kind of stood her up
- 22:56Speaker 1: or played kind of snooty with her. So what happened
- 22:59Speaker 1: was she went to a store in Brooklyn and it's
- 23:01Speaker 1: called The Art of Play. I don't understand if she
- 23:07Speaker 1: actually was kind of stood up by them. She said
- 23:09Speaker 1: they treated her like Julia Roberts in Pretty Women, okay? Yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 1: We all know that whole thing. They're basically like, you're
- 23:14Speaker 1: not rich enough. Big mistake. Huge. There you go. You're
- 23:16Speaker 1: not rich enough to shop with us, okay? So essentially,
- 23:19Speaker 1: how do you not know who Kelly Clarkson is, first
- 23:22Speaker 1: of all? First of all, yeah. And you would think
- 23:23Speaker 1: that if you are a small little hole-in-the-wall shop in Brooklyn,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you would... Love to have her there.
- 23:28Speaker 2: You'd take any sale, really.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Well, anyway, this whole thing happened where Kelly tweeted out.
- 23:32Speaker 1: She took to X, not Twitter. So she took to
- 23:35Speaker 1: X and was like, hey, if you go to this store,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know that I'm freaking Kelly Clarkson
- 23:41Speaker 1: and they treated me very poorly. So they might treat
- 23:44Speaker 1: you very poorly. That was her first tweet that was
- 23:47Speaker 1: sent out on October 10th. Okay. So over the weekend.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Well, obviously, 8 million people apparently saw this and took
- 23:54Speaker 1: to different social media sites.
- 23:57Speaker 2: They started attacking the shop.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Destroying the site. They went to Yelp. They went to
- 24:02Speaker 1: anything that they could rate this place. Zero stars. Zero stars.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Zero stars. This art of play comes out and is like, hey, okay,
- 24:09Speaker 1: hold on, hold the phone. They have a rebuttal.
- 24:13Speaker 2: They explained their side.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Explained their side. To which Kelly, again, now goes, okay, cool, cool, cool.
- 24:19Speaker 1: So you say it wasn't for sale. That's the narrative
- 24:21Speaker 1: you're going to go with, essentially. So the whole conversation
- 24:24Speaker 1: we had for you where I asked if I could
- 24:27Speaker 1: buy this and then also saw the price tag hanging
- 24:29Speaker 1: on the wall, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So she
- 24:31Speaker 1: explains her side again and essentially goes, hey, by the way,
- 24:35Speaker 1: you're still being a jerk to me.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And you're a liar. She flat out called them, you're
- 24:39Speaker 2: a liar.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You're liars.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So they go again and they respond once again. This
- 24:45Speaker 1: is this morning. And they go, hey, we're clarifying on
- 24:48Speaker 1: this whole thing. So essentially the art piece in question
- 24:50Speaker 1: is a very hard to make intricate animatronic bird essentially
- 24:55Speaker 1: that you can pull levers and and do things with
- 24:58Speaker 1: and it tweets at you it moves it's a very
- 25:01Speaker 1: beautiful art piece okay it's interactive she wants it it's
- 25:04Speaker 1: said on the sign there's a sign next to it
- 25:07Speaker 1: that says hey this is $ 15, 000 okay so that essentially
- 25:12Speaker 1: this final post by art of play says hey that
- 25:14Speaker 1: is for the artist to commission a brand new bird
- 25:17Speaker 1: for you They go, this bird that we have is
- 25:20Speaker 1: fixed to the wall.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It's a permanent piece. They can't move it.
- 25:23Speaker 1: We can't move it. We can't take this off for you,
- 25:25Speaker 1: whether you're Kelly Clarkson, the president, or Joe Schmo. It
- 25:27Speaker 1: doesn't matter. We cannot give this to you. So then
- 25:30Speaker 1: they're like, you are not making yourself really here in
- 25:34Speaker 1: a good light. They're like, we tried to sell you
- 25:36Speaker 1: one exactly like it, but the artist has to give
- 25:38Speaker 1: that to us, okay?
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:40Speaker 1: So my question for this whole thing is, is Kelly
- 25:43Speaker 1: kind of a Karen?
- 25:44Speaker 3: It seemed like she was a bit of a Karen
- 25:47Speaker 3: in this entire situation.
- 25:48Speaker 2: The fact that, listen, she's a celebrity, okay?
- 25:51Speaker 3: And this is a small little art shop in New York, sure.
- 25:55Speaker 3: And yes, they sell expensive pieces. But this is a
- 25:58Speaker 3: small shop. And she went to a public platform as
- 26:02Speaker 3: a celebrity. How do you not know what you're doing?
- 26:06Speaker 3: She knew what she was doing. She knew that they
- 26:08Speaker 3: were going to get attacked by all of her fans
- 26:09Speaker 3: and everything.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Totally.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And that is kind of messed up on her part.
- 26:13Speaker 3: But, you know, if she was treated unfairly and not
- 26:16Speaker 3: treated well, I do understand why she wanted.
- 26:18Speaker 2: To complain at the same time.
- 26:20Speaker 3: But now it's this ongoing feud that has been going
- 26:23Speaker 3: on for days. Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Days. Even to this morning where they replied.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:29Speaker 3: And so, like, Kelly Clarkson versus this art shop, it's
- 26:32Speaker 3: kind of weird and, like, I don't know. Kelly Clarkson,
- 26:36Speaker 3: I do like her and she has an incredible talent.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Her voice is amazing.
- 26:41Speaker 3: If ever there was a first American Idol, it needed
- 26:44Speaker 3: to be her because she's so great.
- 26:46Speaker 1: For sure.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I will say, she is sometimes, just the things she says,
- 26:51Speaker 3: I feel like she's kind of lost touch a little bit.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sure. And I'm sure you reach a level
- 26:56Speaker 1: of fame where you do.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Lose touch with the world. And I feel like this
- 26:59Speaker 2: is an example of that.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Well, yeah. And it's kind of a, I'm sure she
- 27:02Speaker 1: hasn't been told no in forever. She, these celebrities can
- 27:06Speaker 1: get what they want. I mean, they really can. It's
- 27:08Speaker 1: like only child syndrome where they finally are told no
- 27:10Speaker 1: by their parents and they throw a fit because they're like,
- 27:12Speaker 1: why can't I have what I want? And it's the
- 27:14Speaker 1: same thing. Like, look at all these other midday show
- 27:16Speaker 1: hosts that look so perfect on their shows. And I
- 27:18Speaker 1: know she's so much more than that. I understand that.
- 27:20Speaker 1: But I thought of right away, I thought of Ellen DeGeneres.
- 27:23Speaker 1: For years, she was America's golden woman, and then it
- 27:27Speaker 1: comes out that she's the devil. And I'm like, okay,
- 27:30Speaker 1: but what else are these celebrities hiding? They could be really,
- 27:33Speaker 1: really mean people.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Kelly Clarkson is the new Ellen DeGeneres.
- 27:37Speaker 1: This is not, from what I'm saying, from what I'm
- 27:39Speaker 1: seeing and reading, I am kind of falling on the
- 27:42Speaker 1: store's side.
- 27:43Speaker 2: I am, too, a little bit.
- 27:44Speaker 1: She's throwing a fit. She's kicking and screaming, red-headed, red-faced
- 27:47Speaker 1: child because of this.
- 27:49Speaker 3: They also claimed she spent five minutes in there, didn't
- 27:51Speaker 3: get her way, so they couldn't even explain to her
- 27:54Speaker 3: properly that, yes, you can technically buy this bird. It
- 27:57Speaker 3: just has to be commissioned, and it's going to take
- 27:59Speaker 3: a while. You can't walk out of the store with
- 28:01Speaker 3: this one that we have.
- 28:02Speaker 1: That's why it's $ 15, 000, because the artist has to make
- 28:05Speaker 1: a new one. Where they said, if we sold you
- 28:07Speaker 1: one like it, they go, we could sell you one
- 28:08Speaker 1: like it for two grand. It's just not the same thing.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Each one is one of one. So, crazy story of
- 28:13Speaker 1: what's going on right now. It really is.
- 28:15Speaker 2: It makes me look at Kelly Clarkson very, very differently.
- 28:17Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Sorry, Kelly.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Sorry, girl.
- 28:21Speaker 3: All right, so one thing you need to know before
- 28:23Speaker 3: you go into the office today, you know, living in Colorado,
- 28:26Speaker 3: we have a lot of great spots to go hiking,
- 28:29Speaker 3: and you are never too old to go hiking. Take
- 28:34Speaker 3: it from Dale Greybeard Sanders... He just set the record
- 28:39Speaker 3: as the oldest person to complete the Appalachian Trail, which
- 28:43Speaker 3: is 2,200 miles long, going across, way across New York.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Guess how old this guy is. His name is Dale
- 28:53Speaker 3: Graybeard Sanders. 87.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Just throw 87. Close. He is 91 years old.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Good Lord.
- 29:01Speaker 3: And he just made this hike of over 2,000 miles long.
- 29:06Speaker 2: He did it himself. And he was out there. He
- 29:09Speaker 2: was hiking. He was doing it. And he said.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I don't even feel old. I've been hiking my whole life.
- 29:14Speaker 3: So just a reminder, keep your body moving. This guy's
- 29:17Speaker 3: 91 doing it.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Can I go in an opposite direction of all this?
- 29:20Speaker 1: Everybody's going to say that's the most impressive thing ever,
- 29:23Speaker 1: and we love it so much. That's annoying. Why? Stop.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Dale Greybeard, you're all being productive out there and making
- 29:31Speaker 1: us normal. I don't want to hike 2,000 miles. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: don't want to do it. Oh, fine.
- 29:34Speaker 3: You don't have to hike 2,000 miles, but like do
- 29:37Speaker 3: one or two every once in a while.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You're making us normies look real bad out here. Us
- 29:42Speaker 1: 30 year olds out there that, I'm tired.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Is he making you feel old, Josh?
- 29:47Speaker 1: I skinned my knees doing a inflatable parkour jump. thing
- 29:52Speaker 1: this weekend. Oh my goodness. I'm just old, Nina. I
- 29:55Speaker 1: don't want to do it.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Well, you need to move your body more. That's all
- 29:58Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 29:58Speaker 1: All right, okay, I will. Well, this is an interesting story.
- 30:01Speaker 1: There is a Colorado air traffic controller that has taken
- 30:05Speaker 1: the world by storm now because of the commute that
- 30:08Speaker 1: he takes to get to work. Oh. He is taking
- 30:10Speaker 1: it to new heights. Literally, Jake Hutzler, who is 28
- 30:13Speaker 1: years old, he straps a propeller on his back once
- 30:17Speaker 1: a week and flies 20 minutes into Pueblo's airport tower
- 30:20Speaker 1: to Every single week now, cruising about 35 miles an
- 30:24Speaker 1: hour above open, empty fields before takeoff. He alerts the
- 30:27Speaker 1: tower because he has to let them know, hey, by
- 30:29Speaker 1: the way, I don't appear on radar. That's how small
- 30:31Speaker 1: I am. I'm not flying a plane. But he likes
- 30:33Speaker 1: to take his little hovercraft and fly above all the
- 30:36Speaker 1: way down to Pueblo instead of driving every week.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Who has a hovercraft? Wait, I have other questions.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Jake Hutzler does. He obviously does.
- 30:44Speaker 2: You're saying this like that's normal.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So it's technically called paramotoring. So he discovered his love
- 30:49Speaker 1: for paramotoring after watching a viral video of someone flying
- 30:52Speaker 1: over a McDonald's. Why did they do that? For a burger.
- 30:55Speaker 1: So he wanted to try doing this. He began training
- 30:56Speaker 1: in 2021 and eventually became an instructor himself. He even
- 31:00Speaker 1: proposed to his wife while doing a fake engine breakdown
- 31:04Speaker 1: to lure her to a hidden ring. It's really, really
- 31:06Speaker 1: cute that he's done this. But instead of just driving
- 31:09Speaker 1: the hour and a half-ish that it would take to
- 31:12Speaker 1: get to Pueblo's airport for him, he's like, you know what?
- 31:14Speaker 1: I can paramotor and he just flies over there every
- 31:17Speaker 1: week now. That's a pretty cool brag. I'm not going
- 31:20Speaker 1: to lie, right?
- 31:21Speaker 2: Honestly, that is a huge brag. So I think that's awesome.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Good for him. Shout out to Jake. Good for you, buddy.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Good for Jake. All right. Some unfortunate news locally here.
- 31:30Speaker 3: We're just dealing with more of the droughts and they're
- 31:32Speaker 3: taking a look at Dillon Reservoir.
- 31:34Speaker 2: And it's not looking great over there in Dillon. It's
- 31:37Speaker 2: really not.
- 31:37Speaker 3: And that's unfortunately where Denver gets all of its water
- 31:39Speaker 3: as well. So not great for us either.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Good.
- 31:42Speaker 3: They are looking at levels continuing to drop even more
- 31:47Speaker 3: so than the 2002 drought by next spring. which that
- 31:51Speaker 3: was a really big deal, and we're on track to
- 31:54Speaker 3: beat that. That's not a record we want to beat,
- 31:57Speaker 3: but unfortunately we are on track to beat that unless
- 32:00Speaker 3: this winter we get a ton of snow, which would
- 32:03Speaker 3: be a blessing, but I don't know if we're going.
- 32:05Speaker 2: To get it.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I've heard over and over again because of El Nino coming,
- 32:09Speaker 1: we're supposed to have a heartier winter, a better winter.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I hope so.
- 32:13Speaker 1: We need it. But I've seen the pictures of Dylan.
- 32:15Speaker 1: It's not good. I mean, you can walk almost to
- 32:18Speaker 1: the middle, which is... That's really not good.
- 32:20Speaker 2: It's so sad to see.
- 32:22Speaker 3: And they're saying, you know, even if we do get
- 32:24Speaker 3: a big snow this winter, that will help us in
- 32:27Speaker 3: the meantime. But Dillon Reservoir, the fact that it has
- 32:30Speaker 3: gotten as low as it has right now, it is
- 32:32Speaker 3: going to take years to refill it back up.
- 32:36Speaker 1: That's such a bummer.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Plus, hey, we need water. So that's really a bummer.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Yeah, please. And don't forget those water restrictions. Yeah, those
- 32:44Speaker 2: are happening right now.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Ugh.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Thanks a lot.
- 32:47Speaker 3: We're talking about this Kelly Clarkson art store fiasco, and
- 32:50Speaker 3: we got a couple of texts coming in. On the
- 32:53Speaker 3: text line, Joel said, simple solution to the Kelly Clarkson thing.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Put up a sign that says this models for display
- 33:00Speaker 3: purposes only. If you want to buy one, let us know.
- 33:03Speaker 3: We'll contact the artist. This is a simple fix for
- 33:06Speaker 3: the store.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with that. I mean, you should make
- 33:08Speaker 1: it as clear as possible. That would have avoided everything, right?
- 33:11Speaker 3: Yeah. No, 100 percent would have avoided all of it.
- 33:14Speaker 3: So hopefully the store does that moving forward.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I hope so, honestly. And then Debbie also kind of
- 33:20Speaker 1: had a thing where she was like, look, it's a
- 33:21Speaker 1: very expensive, exclusive art store. So you would assume that
- 33:25Speaker 1: someone that walks in there can't afford it, which also
- 33:29Speaker 1: kind of would. you know, have solved the whole problem,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I guess. That, too. Just assume that everybody that goes
- 33:35Speaker 1: in there knows that it's very expensive, you know, and
- 33:37Speaker 1: then you can kind of maybe not make a fool
- 33:38Speaker 1: of yourself a little bit.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Also, hold on.
- 33:40Speaker 3: I just want to say, like, what's so wrong with
- 33:42Speaker 3: going into an expensive art store to, I don't know,
- 33:45Speaker 3: look at the art?
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh, I don't think anything's wrong. Is that wrong? I
- 33:50Speaker 1: personally don't think anything's wrong. I would love to do that, too.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I've been to many different art places that you can
- 33:55Speaker 1: buy the art, too.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Yeah, to admire and look at the art.
- 33:57Speaker 3: And yes, buy it if that's possible, you're able, you
- 34:01Speaker 3: can afford that. But I don't know, an art store,
- 34:04Speaker 3: even if you are hoping to make a sale that day,
- 34:06Speaker 3: I don't think there's anything wrong with people walking in
- 34:08Speaker 3: there because you never know who they know.
- 34:10Speaker 1: And admiring the art. Yeah, absolutely. They may know you
- 34:13Speaker 1: or me. Come on now, right?
- 34:14Speaker 2: Right, exactly.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yeah, because we're so rich. But no, thank you so
- 34:18Speaker 3: much for those texts. You can text us or call
- 34:20Speaker 3: us anytime at 303-691-1MIX. But At the end of the day, Josh,
- 34:26Speaker 3: I liked your quote you had earlier today, kind of
- 34:30Speaker 3: saying that Kelly Clarkson may be the new Ellen DeGeneres.
- 34:33Speaker 1: She might be. I don't know.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Behind closed doors. We just don't know who this person
- 34:37Speaker 2: may be.
- 34:37Speaker 1: They put on such a face of like, I'm the
- 34:39Speaker 1: nicest person in the world. I give everything away. But
- 34:41Speaker 1: then they get out in public. And I think Kelly's
- 34:43Speaker 1: made a fool of herself. I really do. I do too.
- 34:45Speaker 1: If anything, the entire thing, it was just a rude
- 34:48Speaker 1: store employee. And that happens all the time. You're not special, Kelly. Like,
- 34:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 34:52Speaker 2: You're not. Yeah, honestly, truly.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I really don't think we should put these celebrities on
- 34:56Speaker 1: a pedestal.
- 34:57Speaker 2: No, we shouldn't.
- 34:58Speaker 1: We really don't.
- 34:58Speaker 2: The Savannah Bananas.
- 35:00Speaker 3: They have become quite the celebrities themselves, just doing amazing
- 35:04Speaker 3: things on a baseball field that we never thought we
- 35:06Speaker 3: would see. But they hosted their first ever Banana Bowl
- 35:10Speaker 3: over the weekend for the Championship League title.
- 35:14Speaker 2: They were going up against a team in Texas.
- 35:17Speaker 3: And it was hosted in Washington, D.C., who, by the way,
- 35:20Speaker 3: I just want to flex a little bit. My friend
- 35:23Speaker 3: Ryan Smetzer got to host it in the arena, which
- 35:26Speaker 3: is awesome.
- 35:27Speaker 1: No way.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:29Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 35:30Speaker 3: So shout out to my friend Ryan. They also brought
- 35:32Speaker 3: out all the celebrities. All the celebrities. I'm telling you, Pentatonix,
- 35:37Speaker 3: they sang the national anthem.
- 35:39Speaker 1: They sounded so good. So good.
- 35:41Speaker 3: John Cena kicked it off during the opener with a
- 35:45Speaker 3: police escort just hyping up the crowd on the field.
- 35:49Speaker 3: They had performances from OAR, Andy Grammer, Lindsey Stirling, Kane Brown,
- 35:54Speaker 3: and the cast of Dancing with the Stars were just
- 35:56Speaker 3: performing because. And then if that wasn't enough, Josh, ninth inning,
- 36:01Speaker 3: Jonas Brothers come out.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Jonas Brothers. Yeah. How much did that cost them? Exactly.
- 36:08Speaker 3: All these celebrities for the Savannah Banana Bowl that this
- 36:12Speaker 3: is their first time ever hosting it.
- 36:13Speaker 2: And this is going to be an annual thing.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It has to be. Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 3: But like I said, Savannah Bananas themselves are like celebrities now.
- 36:20Speaker 2: So maybe they got a discount.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Maybe. And I've seen them before. It's one of those
- 36:24Speaker 1: truly unique events. Like I'm I'm a baseball purist, I'm
- 36:28Speaker 1: not poo-pooing on them at all. I'm a baseball purist, I.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Grew up playing it.
- 36:32Speaker 1: It is something that you need to see at least once.
- 36:35Speaker 1: It was the most interesting style of baseball I've ever seen.
- 36:39Speaker 1: And it's definitely a really cool event, especially for families. Oh,
- 36:43Speaker 1: for sure. It is the neatest thing to see if
- 36:45Speaker 1: you bring your whole family.
- 36:45Speaker 2: And here's the thing.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Families, for those of you who missed out on this,
- 36:48Speaker 3: missed out on them coming to Denver earlier this year,
- 36:51Speaker 3: you can actually watch the Savannah Banana Bowl on Disney +.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Oh, cool. So it's right there on Disney +. You
- 36:57Speaker 2: could stream it today, watch it with the kids. Entertainment
- 37:00Speaker 2: for days.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Okay, I like that. That's nice. It's a little cheaper, too, probably.
- 37:03Speaker 1: All right, Megan Fox. She has just recently gotten in
- 37:06Speaker 1: the news because she is releasing an exclusive paid content page.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 37:12Speaker 1: It's not OnlyFans. It's not the OF. It's called subs.com,
- 37:17Speaker 1: but she's saying that she will offer fans photos that
- 37:20Speaker 1: they ask for. videos that they ask for and direct
- 37:23Speaker 1: messaging access directly to her. She said, I'm interested to
- 37:27Speaker 1: see what happens when women own all three. She has
- 37:30Speaker 1: been photographed and videoed countless times everywhere. And then that's
- 37:34Speaker 1: put out by paparazzi and things like that. And they
- 37:37Speaker 1: could be unflattering pictures. They could be flattering pictures, whatever.
- 37:39Speaker 1: She wants to own all three, she says, meaning I
- 37:42Speaker 1: want to post my own photos. I want to post
- 37:44Speaker 1: my own videos and I want to talk to you directly.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'm for that, actually, because then she'll get paid for it, too,
- 37:48Speaker 1: instead of just being exposed.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Good for her.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I'm all cool with that.
- 37:51Speaker 3: This is actually kind of a movement for a lot
- 37:53Speaker 3: of women who do that type of work to be
- 37:55Speaker 3: able to have their own stuff.
- 37:56Speaker 1: And I think that's a brilliant idea, honestly. I think
- 37:59Speaker 1: if you are a celeb like that, especially a notoriously
- 38:01Speaker 1: kind of, you know, the sexy, beautiful woman like she
- 38:04Speaker 1: has always been, I like that. She's probably been exposed
- 38:07Speaker 1: more times than she's ever wanted to be, so I
- 38:09Speaker 1: like that. It's funny. She's taking ownership. Exactly. And she
- 38:13Speaker 1: said the— or she didn't say this, but the site— crashed
- 38:16Speaker 1: on the first day that she launched it due to
- 38:18Speaker 1: the high traffic.
- 38:19Speaker 2: So we still love her.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Megan Fox, oh my goodness. Transformers Megan Fox, I will
- 38:23Speaker 1: love you forever. So I might need to get on
- 38:26Speaker 1: this site.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Killing the game. Oh my gosh. I'm telling your girlfriend.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I just want to talk to her. I just want
- 38:30Speaker 1: to talk to her. That's all. I just want to
- 38:32Speaker 1: say hi.
- 38:33Speaker 2: All right, your last piece for the Celebrity Quickie.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Soulja Boy might be running for president in 2028.
- 38:38Speaker 1: What year is this?
- 38:40Speaker 2: I know.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Soulja Boy?
- 38:42Speaker 2: Soulja Boy.
- 38:42Speaker 1: He going to crank it all the way to the top?
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much. He put out a post.
- 38:46Speaker 3: He said, a new chapter, a bigger vision, a commitment
- 38:49Speaker 3: to creating opportunities for the next generation. So he is
- 38:53Speaker 3: obviously gearing towards the younger vote there. But he says
- 38:56Speaker 3: he's focused on four major issues, economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education,
- 39:01Speaker 3: and the future of technology and AI. But he hasn't
- 39:05Speaker 3: officially put it in a bid right now. But here's
- 39:07Speaker 3: just the one thing I'm going to say. Soulja Boy,
- 39:10Speaker 3: I'm so sorry to crash down on your dreams right now, buddy.
- 39:14Speaker 3: But if Kanye West couldn't do it, Soulja Boy, you're
- 39:18Speaker 3: not going to do it.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I don't even think people know that he's alive still.
- 39:20Speaker 1: You're not going to do it, Soulja Boy. We've also
- 39:23Speaker 1: already done the celeb thing. Please don't vote for us.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Please, no, no, no.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Your vote counts. Please don't write in Soulja Boy. Let's not.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Let's not. Please, please, please.
- 39:32Speaker 1: What is this world coming to? Exactly.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Josh, a new article came out about wealth and the
- 39:37Speaker 3: wealthiest people in America.
- 39:40Speaker 2: And it's not you and I.
- 39:41Speaker 1: No.
- 39:42Speaker 2: So sorry.
- 39:43Speaker 1: This article about wealth was essentially to tell us that
- 39:45Speaker 1: we don't have any.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yeah, like too bad.
- 39:48Speaker 1: The new article shows the people that are richest right now,
- 39:51Speaker 1: in America at least, are 75 years and older, Nita.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 1: It's one of those weird things that I just think like,
- 39:58Speaker 1: the boomers were able to make so much money, and
- 40:01Speaker 1: things were just generally cheaper. And I understand that's not
- 40:04Speaker 1: a blanket statement for everybody. Like, I understand that there.
- 40:07Speaker 3: There was a lot of hard work on the back
- 40:09Speaker 3: end of things. You had to work for what you got,
- 40:11Speaker 3: all of that.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yes, but that being said, the benefits were a lot bigger, right? Yeah.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they really were, and it does feel like
- 40:21Speaker 3: things were easier to come by back then.
- 40:24Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Just to buy a house, to buy a car, just
- 40:27Speaker 3: compared to what you were making money-wise back then versus now.
- 40:33Speaker 2: The math ain't mathing. It's not adding up.
- 40:36Speaker 1: It's mathing for them. The families that are 75 and
- 40:39Speaker 1: up usually, their median net worth jumped a lot. It's
- 40:42Speaker 1: now nearly... around $ 506, 000, which was up from just $ 367
- 40:48Speaker 1: four years ago. That's it, four years ago. So three
- 40:50Speaker 1: years ago, people aged 65 to 74 were usually the richest.
- 40:55Speaker 1: And now those that are 35 and below, Nina, get this,
- 40:58Speaker 1: reported a median net worth of $ 33, 000, which is a
- 41:02Speaker 1: massive drop-off. It's a drop-off of almost 25% from $ 43, 000
- 41:06Speaker 1: in 2022. So I don't know what's going on with us. Like,
- 41:09Speaker 1: we're just not saving. But it's also showing, like, We
- 41:12Speaker 1: are spending more money because everything else is so much
- 41:15Speaker 1: more expensive. It is.
- 41:16Speaker 3: It's so expensive, and I hate everything, and I don't
- 41:20Speaker 3: even know what to do about it anymore. Planning for
- 41:22Speaker 3: retirement is the hardest thing ever. My husband and I
- 41:24Speaker 3: are trying to do that.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Stressful. How are you trying to do that?
- 41:28Speaker 2: Just by not having kids.
- 41:30Speaker 1: You know what? Actually, hold up.
- 41:32Speaker 2: It's going to save us a lot of money.
- 41:34Speaker 1: You might be onto something there.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 41:38Speaker 3: the office day like Aspen. They first came up with
- 41:41Speaker 3: this experiment of saving snow. And a pile of snow
- 41:44Speaker 3: from last winter has survived, 85% of it has, through
- 41:48Speaker 3: like the hottest summer they've ever had.
- 41:50Speaker 1: How?
- 41:51Speaker 2: To get ready for the next ski season. Well, how?
- 41:53Speaker 3: They teamed up with this Finnish company called Snow Secure,
- 41:57Speaker 3: and they put these thermal blankets over a pile of
- 42:00Speaker 3: snow to keep it cold and keep it from melting,
- 42:04Speaker 3: and it worked. 85% of it survived, and they opened
- 42:07Speaker 3: it up on October 1st. of this month, and this
- 42:10Speaker 3: will help keep snow on the ski area, which is great.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Less snow that they have to make, it's actual real
- 42:17Speaker 3: snow from the season before.
- 42:18Speaker 2: It's just kind of sad that.
- 42:20Speaker 3: We're here now, that we have to save snow, but
- 42:23Speaker 3: it is what it is, right?
- 42:24Speaker 1: I mean, is it weird that all I thought about
- 42:26Speaker 1: was how big is that blanket? Like, how massive of
- 42:29Speaker 1: a blanket did you put down to save the slopes, essentially?
- 42:32Speaker 3: And they did have this pretty big pile, so they
- 42:35Speaker 3: had to have a couple of those blankets, I'm sure.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Look, honestly, I think they were able to open before
- 42:38Speaker 1: anybody else, right? Yeah, yeah. Because they don't have to
- 42:40Speaker 1: make it, first of all.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Right, exactly. It's just there. That's cool.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Way good for them. So this is some good news, actually.
- 42:45Speaker 1: More daily steps have been linked to better mental health,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and this is especially true in teens. So we understand nowadays, especially, unfortunately,
- 42:54Speaker 1: a lot of people do struggle with their mental health.
- 42:55Speaker 1: It's a topic. that people are talking about more, which
- 42:58Speaker 1: is a good thing, right? Nina, I think it should
- 42:59Speaker 1: be talked about more. Absolutely. A new study has found
- 43:02Speaker 1: that more than 5,500 12-year-olds found that teens who walk
- 43:05Speaker 1: more each day report fewer mental health problems than years later.
- 43:09Speaker 2: That's good.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It's huge. This is a huge good news thing. There
- 43:12Speaker 1: is actually no ceiling on benefits, so that's awesome. There's
- 43:16Speaker 1: no cap to this at all. It's published by JAMA
- 43:19Speaker 1: Network Open, and the research used Fitbit data rather than self-reporting.
- 43:23Speaker 1: So this is more factually based, if you will. The
- 43:25Speaker 1: higher step counts also correlated with thicker tissue in your
- 43:28Speaker 1: brain regions that are the ones that control emotions. Okay.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Which we know this, the more you exercise, the better
- 43:34Speaker 1: you feel physically, but the better you can feel mentally.
- 43:37Speaker 1: And I think that is huge, especially in today's world,
- 43:39Speaker 1: you know? Yeah.
- 43:39Speaker 3: And especially with teenagers, there's just all sorts of hormones
- 43:43Speaker 3: and things going.
- 43:43Speaker 2: On in their brain that they can't control.
- 43:45Speaker 3: But if you're doing something to help yourself mentally, even better.
- 43:49Speaker 1: A little bit better. And there's a lot of things
- 43:51Speaker 1: I understand. I, I'm not speaking ill about taking the
- 43:55Speaker 1: necessary medication to, to feel okay. But that being said,
- 43:58Speaker 1: When you can even help that or maybe even help
- 44:01Speaker 1: yourself more and maybe not be medicated, exercise. Just getting
- 44:06Speaker 1: those steps in. The average participant logged around 9,500 daily steps.
- 44:10Speaker 1: So that's that goal. Always get your 10K in. Almost 10K, yeah.
- 44:13Speaker 1: That's the biggest thing. Notably, the step count showed little
- 44:19Speaker 1: connection to the school's grade. It just matters the most
- 44:22Speaker 1: important 14. So the younger you are, I would say
- 44:25Speaker 1: 13 to 15, 16, things like that. They're like, the
- 44:27Speaker 1: more you walk, play sports, get active, go outdoors, go outdoors. Yes.
- 44:32Speaker 1: For the love of all things, go outdoors. The sun
- 44:34Speaker 1: is good for you. The walking is good for you.
- 44:36Speaker 2: And you don't need to run a 5K. We're just
- 44:37Speaker 2: talking about walking.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Easy.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Just get out and do some walking.
- 44:40Speaker 1: No, you don't have to be like a hardcore runner.
- 44:43Speaker 1: No marathon here. Just get out there and experience the
- 44:46Speaker 1: sunshine and just be a kid, right? Well, good.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Go and do that. Take a walk, kids.
- 44:51Speaker 3: All right, this past weekend, the Premier League's 13th annual
- 44:54Speaker 3: Fan Fest was in Denver. This was the first time
- 44:56Speaker 3: Denver was chosen as a host city, and soccer fans
- 44:59Speaker 3: were so excited for this. It took place in Union Station.
- 45:03Speaker 3: People were there at 3 a.m., 5 a.m. this past
- 45:05Speaker 3: Saturday and Sunday to watch all of those games that
- 45:08Speaker 3: were happening across the pond. And organizers, they were excited
- 45:12Speaker 3: to bring it to Denver. They said since this festival
- 45:15Speaker 3: launched in 2017, it's brought in more than 120,000 attendees.
- 45:20Speaker 3: And so we were just happy to have it in Denver.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Well, as it should. I mean, we understand that European football,
- 45:26Speaker 1: soccer as we call it, it is by far the
- 45:29Speaker 1: biggest sport in the world. I mean, we like to
- 45:30Speaker 1: say football, American football is king everywhere. Not even close.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Soccer rules the world and to get a little piece
- 45:36Speaker 1: and taste of that here in Colorado, really, really neat.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I like that.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I do too.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Josh, we were just talking about your girlfriend eats Pop-Tarts
- 45:44Speaker 3: in the weirdest way possible. She doesn't like the filling,
- 45:49Speaker 3: the frosting, any of the flavor. She only will eat
- 45:52Speaker 3: the crust of a Pop-Tart.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Yeah, she doesn't like the good part, and I'm almost
- 45:56Speaker 1: like this is grounds for a breakup. But yeah, essentially
- 45:59Speaker 1: the thing is, I saw her eating it, and she
- 46:02Speaker 1: peeled off all the sides, and she was nibbling on that,
- 46:06Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, I would do that. I'll
- 46:08Speaker 1: save the good part for the last part. I like that,
- 46:09Speaker 1: the middle part, the gooey part. And then she was like, well,
- 46:12Speaker 1: do you want this? I was like, well, don't you?
- 46:14Speaker 1: She's like, no, I don't like that. And I was like... What? Okay.
- 46:18Speaker 1: For sure, yeah. But that made me think, do I
- 46:21Speaker 1: eat anything weird? And Nina, I'm not trying to just
- 46:23Speaker 1: make myself look good. I don't know if I eat
- 46:25Speaker 1: anything weird.
- 46:26Speaker 3: So you're just a boring eater. The food is in
- 46:29Speaker 3: front of you. You're trying to eat it, scarf it
- 46:30Speaker 3: down as fast as you can.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Normal? Yeah, I just eat it. I'm a human being.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I eat like a normal human being. I use my
- 46:36Speaker 1: fork and knife and all that stuff.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But then you went on to almost defend her and
- 46:41Speaker 1: be like, you eat a lot of things weird.
- 46:43Speaker 3: I do eat a lot of foods very weirdly. And
- 46:46Speaker 3: my husband points this out to me all the time.
- 46:50Speaker 3: So mac and cheese, right? Let's talk like the boxed
- 46:53Speaker 3: macaroni and cheese. How could you possibly eat that weirdly?
- 46:57Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you, Josh.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 46:59Speaker 3: So I've done this since I was a kid, and
- 47:01Speaker 3: I've always played with my food, and I think it's
- 47:03Speaker 3: just part of that. So you're a kid eating mac
- 47:06Speaker 3: and cheese. You have a fork to eat it, right, typically?
- 47:08Speaker 3: Some people eat it with a spoon.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Spoon, fork, whatever.
- 47:10Speaker 3: I prefer a fork over a spoon, so I eat
- 47:12Speaker 3: it with a fork, and I will get an individual
- 47:16Speaker 3: noodle on each prong of the fork. And I will
- 47:19Speaker 3: get four noodles onto the prong of the fork. And
- 47:23Speaker 3: then sometimes I'll just eat my four noodles and call
- 47:26Speaker 3: it a day. Or sometimes I will do a double stack.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Of two noodles.
- 47:31Speaker 1: On each floor. Oh, if you're feeling adventurous, double stack
- 47:34Speaker 1: the noodles over here, Nina.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I know, I know. And it's so weird.
- 47:38Speaker 3: And I don't eat the whole, because it's going to
- 47:40Speaker 3: take you three hours to eat a bowl of mac
- 47:41Speaker 3: and cheese that way. I mean, I'll just do it
- 47:43Speaker 3: once in a while. It's just a fun little thing
- 47:44Speaker 3: once in a while while I'm eating my mac and
- 47:46Speaker 3: cheese that I'll just do.
- 47:48Speaker 1: It's childish.
- 47:49Speaker 2: No, it's fun.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Why is it fun? That is the weirdest thing. Is
- 47:54Speaker 1: it a girl thing?
- 47:56Speaker 3: Maybe it's a girl thing. We just play with our
- 47:57Speaker 3: food a little bit more. Because your girlfriend does it.
- 48:00Speaker 3: I know I have a lot of friends that play
- 48:02Speaker 3: with their food.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Let me tell you this. I have a sister who
- 48:04Speaker 1: does this. Every single time she eats a pizza, okay?
- 48:07Speaker 1: And there's pizzas you can get without the tomato sauce,
- 48:10Speaker 1: but a traditional tomato sauce pizza, she will remove the
- 48:14Speaker 1: cheese and the toppings, scrape off with a knife all
- 48:18Speaker 1: of the tomato sauce, and then re-put the cheese and
- 48:21Speaker 1: the toppings back onto the pizza and be like, it's
- 48:24Speaker 1: just too saucy. I don't like the tomato sauce. And
- 48:27Speaker 1: then she'll eat the pizza like a normal person.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but after scraping off all the sauce.
- 48:32Speaker 1: All of the sauce. I'm like, first of all, driest
- 48:34Speaker 1: pizza ever. On top of that, just order a different
- 48:37Speaker 1: pizza with no sauce. You can do that.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 48:39Speaker 1: It's not against the rules.
- 48:40Speaker 2: That is interesting to do it that way.
- 48:42Speaker 1: But again, that's another girl, so I don't know if
- 48:44Speaker 1: this is a girl thing or not.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Is this a girl thing? We just play with our food?
- 48:47Speaker 1: We just eat the food in front of us.
- 48:49Speaker 2: That's so boring, though. You've got to play with your
- 48:51Speaker 2: food a little bit.
- 48:52Speaker 1: No, you don't. Plus, you can order it.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Here's something....
- 48:58Speaker 3: A lot of people, I'm going to make people cringe
- 49:00Speaker 3: at this because anytime I tell people about this one,
- 49:03Speaker 3: they're like, what is wrong with you?
- 49:05Speaker 2: So, pickles, okay?
- 49:08Speaker 1: To eat a pickle. How do you mess this up?
- 49:11Speaker 3: I won't even start to describe how I eat a
- 49:13Speaker 3: spear pickle. We'll talk about that another time. But how about,
- 49:16Speaker 3: let's talk about like a full pickle, like a giant
- 49:20Speaker 3: large pickle, right? Okay, so what I used to do
- 49:23Speaker 3: when I was younger, we would go to the convenience store,
- 49:26Speaker 3: you'd buy a pickle for a dollar, and then we
- 49:28Speaker 3: would also grab a straw for your soda. And I
- 49:32Speaker 3: would pierce the pickle with the straw all the way
- 49:35Speaker 3: down through the pickle and then pull it on the
- 49:37Speaker 3: other side, and it's like a slimy little worm. And
- 49:40Speaker 3: it's the weirdest thing ever. And me and my cousins,
- 49:43Speaker 3: me and my cousins, it's not just me, we all
- 49:45Speaker 3: used to.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Eat a pickle like that. It's the weirdest thing ever,
- 49:50Speaker 2: I know.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Like you'd eat the hollow pickle or you would take
- 49:52Speaker 1: it out of the straw and eat the slimy, wormy pickle?
- 49:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you take it out of the straw and then
- 49:55Speaker 2: you eat the slimy, wormy pickle.
- 49:56Speaker 1: You are the weirdest person I know. That's the weirdest
- 50:00Speaker 1: thing I've ever heard.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, we're getting texts now. You can text
- 50:03Speaker 2: us the weird food that you eat. 303-6911-MIX.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Linda just texted us, I eat grape nuts dry or
- 50:10Speaker 3: I put them on ice cream but never for breakfast
- 50:14Speaker 3: for the ice cream.
- 50:15Speaker 1: You need some fibrous ice cream? Keep you regular? Yeah,
- 50:17Speaker 1: why not?
- 50:18Speaker 2: Yeah, grape nuts. Gosh, I haven't heard of grape nuts
- 50:21Speaker 2: in a while.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I like the... It gives a little crunch, maybe.
- 50:24Speaker 2: A little, but grape nuts, isn't that a cereal you typically.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Eat for breakfast? Yeah, it's definitely a cereal.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Not necessarily an ice cream topping, though. Interesting.
- 50:33Speaker 1: No, but I like the crunch. I don't know. I
- 50:34Speaker 1: just eat my food normal. I don't know.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Okay, well, you need to play with your food some more.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Have some whimsy in your life. Do something.
- 50:43Speaker 1: All right, I'll try.
