Speaker 1: High School Football State Championships the sixth man Division in
• 0:11
Speaker 1: action on this Wednesday afternoon. I believe he's calling Munster
• 0:16
Speaker 1: in Shiner tonight at seven o'clock. So apply this for
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Craig to stop by next hour four o'clock hour about
• 0:22
Speaker 1: four fifteen, and we'll revisit with Craig. CJ. Fogol from
• 0:26
Speaker 1: on Texas Football on Deck for us going to get
• 0:29
Speaker 1: his thoughts on this Texas Clemson game and also some
• 0:31
Speaker 1: thoughts on the transfer portal as well, and some sound
• 0:35
Speaker 1: from Texas Longhorns point guard Julian Larry who at thirteen
• 0:40
Speaker 1: assists on Sunday in the win over Arkansas Pine and Bluffin.
• 0:43
Speaker 1: Again posing this trivia question to those listening, who is
• 0:46
Speaker 1: the last Texas longhornon player to record thirteen assist in
• 0:51
Speaker 1: a game? Let us know your thoughts on eight on
• 0:53
Speaker 1: the text line text to word Texas to eight win
• 0:55
Speaker 1: five three zero followed by your guests, or leave us

Speaker 1: a message on our iHeart radio app using the talk

Speaker 1: Press in the Texas Longhorns freshman guard and Blair Schaeffer,
• 1:11
Speaker 1: the assistant coach, after Texas getting a non conference dub
• 1:14
Speaker 1: last night against LSAU. Of course, with CJ, we'll talk
• 1:19
Speaker 1: Transfer portal, but wanted to get to some quick transfer
• 1:22
Speaker 1: portal notes here as begin this second hour. Of course,
• 1:25
Speaker 1: you can also watch the show us well, in addition
• 1:28
Speaker 1: to listen to it on our YouTube channel. Search us
• 1:31

• 1:33
Speaker 1: on Twitter as well, and also streaming on Facebook. Thank
• 1:35
Speaker 1: you for watching and of course listening on the free
• 1:37
Speaker 1: iHeart radio app or in your cars on the AM
• 1:41
Speaker 1: radio dial. Okay, so, Texas Transfer Portal so far three
• 1:44
Speaker 1: editions defensive lineman, punter, linebacker. I think so far everyone
• 1:49
Speaker 1: happy with those three editions. Okay, what about other spots,
• 1:52
Speaker 1: including receiver Eric Singleton for Georgia Tech's been a big
• 1:57
Speaker 1: name in the portal. He's probably the number one one
• 2:00
Speaker 1: receiver currently in the portal. A lot of pursuers and
• 2:04
Speaker 1: it sounds like sounds like you will not end up
• 2:09
Speaker 1: at Texas. This is reported by Eric Nalan with Inside
• 2:13
Speaker 1: Texas and he writes today this morning that bearing a
• 2:16
Speaker 1: major turnaround. Singleton will not end up at Texas, and
• 2:20
Speaker 1: his feeling is that it wasn't really about money. But
• 2:23
Speaker 1: not really sure. Auburn right now in the lead for
• 2:28
Speaker 1: Eric Singleton. And I always come back to this. You know,
• 2:33
Speaker 1: if you want to win like a national championship, or
• 2:36
Speaker 1: you want to go to a program where you want
• 2:37
Speaker 1: to be developed and turned into a first round draft pick,
• 2:39
Speaker 1: there's some schools out there. Obviously you probably want to
• 2:41
Speaker 1: go to. Think of Oregon. I think, you know, probably
• 2:46
Speaker 1: Texas if you want to throw in Ohio State or Alabama.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: I agree with you Georgia. But Auburn's very interesting and
• 2:54
Speaker 1: in with Hu Freeze coming back, you see they're gonna
• 2:57
Speaker 1: land Jackson Arnold, the former Oklahoma quarterback. To me, that
• 3:01
Speaker 1: screams money. That screams nil for Eric Singleton. Now, I
• 3:05
Speaker 1: think Texas really probably could have pushed harder for him.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: So kind of like last year with I say a Bond, right,
• 3:10
Speaker 1: you know after the College Football Playoff. You know, Bond
• 3:13
Speaker 1: still played for Alabama when the lost to Michigan. They
• 3:16
Speaker 1: ended up getting him after the playoff. Texas may have
• 3:18
Speaker 1: an idea of a player who's not in the portal.
• 3:24
Speaker 1: Right now, that may be in the portal once bolseason
• 3:28
Speaker 1: ends or the college football playoff ends, and then Texas
• 3:32
Speaker 1: will push for that person. So I would not get
• 3:34
Speaker 1: too hung up Texas fans with not maybe securing Eric Singleton. Now.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: He was on campus this past weekend. All indications were
• 3:43
Speaker 1: that he enjoyed his time. But you know, Auburn has
• 3:46
Speaker 1: the I mean Auburn what won four or five six
• 3:49
Speaker 1: games this year, Hugh Freeze, you know, got to be
• 3:51
Speaker 1: in a must win season coming up. They're going to
• 3:53
Speaker 1: spend some big money and did the same thing with
• 3:57
Speaker 1: Cam Coleman last year, who turned out to be a
• 3:59
Speaker 1: good addition. But you know, when you're spending what seven
• 4:02
Speaker 1: figures on a guy, not surprising, not surprising whatsoever. Now
• 4:08
Speaker 1: the other receiver to watch out for, I think is
• 4:10
Speaker 1: Takaya Branch, the former USC wide out, dynamic kickoff and
• 4:14
Speaker 1: punt returner. Great receiver. Came out yesterday that he had
• 4:19
Speaker 1: that no contact tag on him, but that just means
• 4:22
Speaker 1: schools can't reach out to him. He can still contact
• 4:24
Speaker 1: whatever team he wants. So that could be hey, I'm
• 4:27
Speaker 1: in the portal, I already know where I'm going, or
• 4:30
Speaker 1: he just wants to kind of limit who his contacts
• 4:32
Speaker 1: is coming from, wants to go to where he wants
• 4:34
Speaker 1: to go. Nayland reports from a source that Branch always
• 4:38
Speaker 1: wanted to play for Steve Sarcasian back to high school.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: Was a five star on that twenty twenty three class,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: but with his brother's Zion Branch in the portal as well,
• 4:47
Speaker 1: it seems like it's going to be a package deal.
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Zion was a four star safety coming out of high school,
• 4:53
Speaker 1: but this past season struggled struggled, especially with tackling in
• 4:59
Speaker 1: some BA coverage. Take So, I don't know what Sarks
• 5:03
Speaker 1: is there. You know, if you're gonna go out for
• 5:04
Speaker 1: Soskaya Branch, you're gonna have to bring in his brother,
• 5:08
Speaker 1: and you know, maybe his brother does not fit in
• 5:10
Speaker 1: the PK system, so you know, keep an eye on that.
• 5:13
Speaker 1: But again, I think the biggest takeaway here is that
• 5:16
Speaker 1: Texas probably has an idea of a receiver they are
• 5:19
Speaker 1: looking at and are just waiting for that receiver to
• 5:22
Speaker 1: enter the Portland probably going to be at a time
• 5:25
Speaker 1: that comes after the college football playoff. Of course, a
• 5:28
Speaker 1: fantastic recruiting class coming in twenty twenty five receivers, so
• 5:33
Speaker 1: have Ryan Wingo. And we'll see about Isaiah Bond too.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: He could come back for another year, obviously. I think
• 5:40
Speaker 1: before the Oklahoma game, I think he was projected to
• 5:43
Speaker 1: go in the first or second round. I've been dealing
• 5:46
Speaker 1: with that lower ankle injury throughout the second half of
• 5:49
Speaker 1: the season. Has not been the same white out we
• 5:51
Speaker 1: saw him, you know, limp off the field against Georgia
• 5:55
Speaker 1: in the SEC title game. He was shut down all
• 5:58
Speaker 1: of last week. On Monday's open availability to the media
• 6:02
Speaker 1: for practice, he was not partaking in it. Of course,
• 6:05
Speaker 1: it does not mean he's not going to practice this week,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: but looks like we're not going to have a healthy
• 6:10
Speaker 1: Isaiah Bond until maybe maybe if Texas wins this and
• 6:15
Speaker 1: goes to the quarterfinals against Arizona State. So if Isaiah
• 6:20
Speaker 1: Bond does not get back to one hundred percent and
• 6:23
Speaker 1: does not have the postseason that he was hoping to have,
• 6:26
Speaker 1: could we see Isaiah Bond return. It's possible. I think
• 6:29
Speaker 1: Matthew Golden is gone for sure. He's been just a
• 6:32
Speaker 1: fantastic weapon for quin Yours this season. I fully expect
• 6:36
Speaker 1: him to declare for the NFL Draft, but I think
• 6:39
Speaker 1: We're starting to see maybe things change for Isaiah Bond.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: Of course depends on his health going forward, but we'll
• 6:47
Speaker 1: see about that again. Eric Similton right now the Georgia
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Tech white out, who's in the transfer portal, looking like
• 6:52
Speaker 1: he will be heading to possibly Auburn. But more on
• 6:56
Speaker 1: that as well. Some other interesting names in the portal.
• 7:01
Speaker 1: Lee Hunter, UC offensive tackle visited Texas Tech. He was
• 7:06
Speaker 1: supposed to come visit Texas did not happen. Sounds like
• 7:09
Speaker 1: he's already gonna end up at Texas Tech. And the
• 7:12
Speaker 1: Red Raiders also landing North Carolina at the tackle. Howard Samson,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: the former UNC tar hill that one being reported by
• 7:21
Speaker 1: on Texas or inside Texas rather for about a million
• 7:24
Speaker 1: dollars to transfer to Texas Tech. So you're seeing Joey
• 7:28
Speaker 1: McGuire go really all in in the portal this season
• 7:33
Speaker 1: has to do it. Micah Hudson remember him, former five
• 7:36
Speaker 1: star athlete with the Texas Tech. Sounds like he's head
• 7:39
Speaker 1: of the Texas A and M So some big names
• 7:41
Speaker 1: in the portal. Texas just not done yet though mentioned
• 7:46
Speaker 1: singleton players leaving Texas. Ian Ratcliffe decided he would enter
• 7:50
Speaker 1: the portal. Remember he filled in against Oklahoma. Well, Michael
• 7:54
Speaker 1: Kerran was dealing with that injury, but he posted the
• 7:57
Speaker 1: day on Twitter that he is entering the transfer portal.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: He has three years left the course. Texas got a
• 8:04
Speaker 1: punter in the portal from Utah, so should be set
• 8:08
Speaker 1: there going forward. Some other notes on the transfer portal.
• 8:13
Speaker 1: I wanted to mention there was the Purdue tied end
• 8:15
Speaker 1: that did visit Texas yesterday this past week, and believe
• 8:20
Speaker 1: he's taken a trip up to Louisville this week. No
• 8:25
Speaker 1: surprise there, folks. Don't get too worried about that. You know,
• 8:27
Speaker 1: when you have the ability to take these official visits,
• 8:31
Speaker 1: you know, I recommend these kids go out and take him.
• 8:33
Speaker 1: Go visit spot. You have not been to Malachai Fields
• 8:37
Speaker 1: from Virginia's interesting name. A six foot four, two ndred
• 8:39
Speaker 1: and twenty five frame. Not really sarks ideal size for
• 8:43
Speaker 1: a wide out, but he did put up sixteen hundred
• 8:47
Speaker 1: yards ten touchdowns in the past two seasons. So a
• 8:49
Speaker 1: name the keep eye keep an eye out as well
• 8:52
Speaker 1: for Texas. All right, we're going to get two more
• 8:54
Speaker 1: transfer portal stuff here in this second hour. CJ. Focal
• 8:58
Speaker 1: from mon Texas Football. We'll visit with us as we
• 9:01
Speaker 1: get his thoughts on this Texas Clemson matchup. Three days
• 9:05
Speaker 1: away from Texas and Clemson in the College Football Playoff
