- 0:17Speaker 1: go to and Culter dot substack dot com and of
- 0:21Speaker 1: course Twitter and culture Twitter and Culter.
- 0:24Speaker 2: How you doing fantastic? How are you? Markimone?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Very good? Tell every when you're on Rumble.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I'm on Rumble. I post live videos Mondays and Thursdays
- 0:36Speaker 2: five pm. At least we're shooting for five pm. It
- 0:39Speaker 2: was a slight delay on Monday interviews or just me
- 0:43Speaker 2: chattering about the events of the week.
- 0:45Speaker 1: What do you mean you shoot for five p It's
- 0:47Speaker 1: got to be five pm. It's a TV show.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I know. Well, we did it really well the first
- 0:51Speaker 2: few times. I'll do better tomorrow.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Speaking of television, are you going to be watching tomorrow
- 0:59Speaker 1: night as the idol Colbert Show?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Like nine percent of America's No, I will not be
- 1:11Speaker 2: you know, it's too bad. He used to be No
- 1:14Speaker 2: one even remembers this now, but he used to be funny.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And then, I mean, all these late night hosts used
- 1:20Speaker 2: to be funny. But they really took a turn getting
- 1:23Speaker 2: into partisan politics. That made them a little different from
- 1:28Speaker 2: MSNBC hosts, who, by the way, also think they're hilarious.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That's very cute. Cute, cute cute. There really wasn't much difference.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But you know, we can get that twenty four to
- 1:39Speaker 2: seven and young people won't remember this. I mean, you
- 1:43Speaker 2: know better than anyone. But the old style late night
- 1:47Speaker 2: TV like Jay Leno and Johnny Carson absolutely no partisan bent.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah, the idea of late night was you'd have some
- 1:58Speaker 1: laughs and relax and laugh and be entertained before you
- 2:01Speaker 1: go to sleep. Who came up with the idea, let's
- 2:03Speaker 1: get you riled up and get you viciously angry right
- 2:05Speaker 1: before you go to sleep.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It's not I mean, it's just it's for as comedians say, clapped,
- 2:15Speaker 2: not for laughter.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That's a great point. Yeah, this trend started like last
- 2:23Speaker 1: few years of a letterman. You tell a joke that's
- 2:25Speaker 1: so anti Trump or anti Republican that the audience will clap.
- 2:29Speaker 1: They call it clapter. You're not after a laugh anymore.
- 2:33Speaker 1: What does that tell you about these people that they
- 2:35Speaker 1: don't even want to laugh anymore?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Well, as comedians also say, comedy is hard. Having an
- 2:42Speaker 2: opinion is not hard. Being sneering is not hard. And
- 2:46Speaker 2: it's just a lazy way of doing comedy. We don't
- 2:49Speaker 2: need to be funny. We just need to come up
- 2:52Speaker 2: with this string of vicious adjectives about Donald Trump.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's a very good point. Yeah, all right, that's a
- 2:59Speaker 1: great way to explain it. Hey, speaking of Donald Trump,
- 3:01Speaker 1: it's going to be the name will be changed in
- 3:04Speaker 1: Palm Beach the airport too, Donald J. Trump Airport in July.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Won't that be worth it just to watch liberals go
- 3:12Speaker 1: crazy having to fly in there and look at that
- 3:14Speaker 1: name everywhere.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I'm afraid you and I parked company on this. There
- 3:21Speaker 2: are many things I president about whom I wrote the
- 3:26Speaker 2: book in Trump We Trust, I did see. And this
- 3:31Speaker 2: is why, this is why I the actual upside of
- 3:36Speaker 2: of getting my news from the New York Times and
- 3:38Speaker 2: MSNBC is that they are incessant string of denunciations of him.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Just put me in a great mood because everything they're
- 3:48Speaker 2: upset about are exactly the things I like about him. Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 2: just saw headlined in the New York Times yesterday. And
- 3:55Speaker 2: this is an answer to your question, by the way,
- 3:58Speaker 2: about how the Trump administration will be letting in I
- 4:01Speaker 2: don't know, something like seventeen thousand white South Africans, which
- 4:05Speaker 2: is very very upset about because they've only had fifty
- 4:08Speaker 2: years to bring in the dregs of the Third World.
- 4:10Speaker 2: How dare you bring in educated white people? This will
- 4:15Speaker 2: completely throw off the balance of the country. So yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 2: I love that. I love when he goes after the
- 4:23Speaker 2: open egregious discrimination against particularly white males, but white people generally.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I like him taking down all the PC nonsense on
- 4:32Speaker 2: our national parks and gosh, I hope. I was not
- 4:40Speaker 2: wild about Trump's picks for Department of Homeland Security, Mark Mullins,
- 4:46Speaker 2: because he had said some terrible, terrible things about amnesty
- 4:51Speaker 2: in the past, who seemed to be open to it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But it appears that he is actually continuing the deportations
- 4:58Speaker 2: without without ticking everybody off, which is perfect. That's great.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So these are the things I like about our president,
- 5:06Speaker 2: park Simone, the the imitation of Caesar or I don't know,
- 5:11Speaker 2: the Tsar's court. No, this is this is very bad.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Can you blame a lot of that?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Not as bad as other things he's doing?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Wait, can you blame a lot of that ice stuff
- 5:24Speaker 1: on Christy know who made it such a spectacle that
- 5:28Speaker 1: it drew too much attention to what Ice was doing,
- 5:31Speaker 1: bad attention. Once she's gone, everything calmed down.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I would like to point out that she
- 5:39Speaker 2: was the one cabinet official I was vehemently opposed to.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I was quite happy with most of them, and at
- 5:47Speaker 2: least not not others. No, she was always ridiculous. And
- 5:53Speaker 2: it's the I mean, I suppose Treasury. Some may say
- 5:56Speaker 2: Treasury is slightly more important, but by my life, Department
- 6:00Speaker 2: of Homeland Security is the most important position in Trump's cabinet,
- 6:06Speaker 2: and he picks this bimbo. It was. It was preposterous
- 6:10Speaker 2: because she was because she's dating Corey Lewandowski. That was
- 6:14Speaker 2: a disaster. Okay, so that goes into con column.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Okay, we know you got a con column. When it
- 6:20Speaker 1: comes to further Hey, you know it's college graduation season.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm watching some of these commencement speeches. These colleges are
- 6:27Speaker 1: the most radical left wing and Doctrine Nation centers. Tell
- 6:31Speaker 1: everybody what it used to be like. Didn't you used
- 6:33Speaker 1: to go speak at colleges? It was very common to
- 6:35Speaker 1: have speakers from both sides of the aisle and have
- 6:38Speaker 1: debate where that's all gone.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It wasn't exactly Nirvana, but I didn't want Nirvana. I
- 6:46Speaker 2: wanted not necessarily protesters, but you know, as long as
- 6:50Speaker 2: they stood outside I wanted. It was actually pretty good advertising.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Having them stand outside with signs denouncing me got a
- 6:59Speaker 2: lot of attention to the speech. But it used to
- 7:02Speaker 2: be in particularly. I wrote about this in one of
- 7:05Speaker 2: my books. I think it's if Democrats had any brains,
- 7:09Speaker 2: they'd be Republicans at the beginning. I write about this
- 7:12Speaker 2: that I think for about fifteen years I gave more
- 7:16Speaker 2: college speeches than certainly any other conservative and sort of
- 7:21Speaker 2: contrary to my expectation, better schools you would never you
- 7:28Speaker 2: would never have people I don't know, throwing stuff, rushing
- 7:33Speaker 2: the stage, you know, trying to do you physical harm,
- 7:38Speaker 2: or just or simply standing outside protesting. They wanted to
- 7:42Speaker 2: beat you in question and answer because they were smart kids. Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 2: So before i'd go to a college, i'd check what
- 7:47Speaker 2: the average SAT was to see how difficult it was
- 7:52Speaker 2: going to be. Now, maybe from the SAT optional period
- 8:00Speaker 2: during COVID, it's every college. It's just you have to
- 8:03Speaker 2: worry about just NonStop violence.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah, So when did it all go crazy. Was it
- 8:09Speaker 1: when Trump came along that they just cranked it up
- 8:11Speaker 1: and went nuts on the left?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah? I think it was Trump that that really broke
- 8:19Speaker 2: the left's brains. I mean we saw it in so
- 8:21Speaker 2: many ways, with the media dropping its famed objectivity. And
- 8:28Speaker 2: I say that sarcastically. It's not like they were particularly
- 8:33Speaker 2: objective before. I mean back when I wrote slander in
- 8:38Speaker 2: what was that two thousand and three, nine of people
- 8:42Speaker 2: in the major newsrooms Washington Post, New York Times had
- 8:46Speaker 2: voted for the Democrat. So you know, you can try
- 8:48Speaker 2: to put a feelings as much as possible, but that
- 8:53Speaker 2: is not going to lead to an actual objective reporting.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I mean, there's a question of what you're going to report.
- 9:00Speaker 2: For example, any of them when Trump ran, the New
- 9:07Speaker 2: York Times actually made an official decision that it was
- 9:10Speaker 2: okay to call a politicianal liar. That's just one example
- 9:15Speaker 2: of how they changed. And I just think a lot
- 9:18Speaker 2: of them really really lost their minds with Trump. Though
- 9:21Speaker 2: I have to say it is on both sides. I
- 9:23Speaker 2: think a lot of people on our side lost their
- 9:25Speaker 2: minds too. There is very little objectivity you have obviously,
- 9:31Speaker 2: the hatred and violence of the left is quite a
- 9:36Speaker 2: bit worse. But going in the con column on Trump,
- 9:41Speaker 2: the fact that he does seem to have this cult
- 9:43Speaker 2: following that, I mean, there's nothing about principle or issues
- 9:48Speaker 2: or what he stands for. He could come out with
- 9:50Speaker 2: the full platform of Bernie Sanders or AOC and you
- 9:54Speaker 2: would have not all of them, obviously, not you, not me,
- 9:57Speaker 2: but you would have a a fairly large portion of them.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I don't know twenty percent, thirty percent who will absolutely
- 10:06Speaker 2: swear fidelity to him. And that's something we never used
- 10:09Speaker 2: to see among Republicans. You would see it among Democrats.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Is something I described in my book Demonic. With all
- 10:15Speaker 2: these these I mean, it can't happen with Democrat president
- 10:18Speaker 2: after Democrat president, all these female journalists would be writing
- 10:22Speaker 2: articles about their sex dreams about Obama or their sex
- 10:26Speaker 2: dreams about Belle Clinton. I promise you no conservative, as
- 10:30Speaker 2: much as we loved, have ever had a sex dream
- 10:32Speaker 2: about Ronald Reagan. And in fact, we tend to be
- 10:36Speaker 2: kind of tough on or in the past. This is
- 10:40Speaker 2: the classic Republican tough on our leaders because we were
- 10:43Speaker 2: the party of ideas. I think there is a portion
- 10:48Speaker 2: of the right of the Trump supporters that are not
- 10:54Speaker 2: about ideas. It really is a personality cult, and I
- 10:58Speaker 2: hope it goes away with Trump. There's a lot to
- 11:01Speaker 2: like about him. There's some things there aren't, but you're
- 11:04Speaker 2: really giving up the whole party of ideas or standing
- 11:07Speaker 2: on principle or caring about freedom or the Constitution or
- 11:10Speaker 2: anything else. That's why I have a list of pros
- 11:12Speaker 2: and cons. There's some things he's doing great and some
- 11:15Speaker 2: things he's not doing so great.
- 11:16Speaker 1: All right, well, and culture, we're out of time. But
- 11:19Speaker 1: to everybody, watch your on Rumble. Uh let's say it
- 11:22Speaker 1: again Thursday, Monday and Thursday.
- 11:24Speaker 2: It's Monday and Thursday live at five with that little
- 11:30Speaker 2: caveat that I might be running a few minutes later.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But if you go to Rumble, you can watch it anytime.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Right, you can see this, that's right, and the same
- 11:36Speaker 2: video will be posted on uh subsack, which is a
- 11:41Speaker 2: culter dot subsac dot com. Or you can also get
- 11:43Speaker 2: on my column. Oh I forgot to mention I have
- 11:45Speaker 2: a cover story in the Spectator this week. Why I'm
- 11:48Speaker 2: never Rubio.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Okay, so everybody go read that. You give me just
- 11:51Speaker 1: go to and Culter, Twitter and culture dot substack dot com.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You get links to everything there and make sure you

- 12:01Speaker 2: Good to talk to you, Mark Simon, Bye.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Bye, take care. Hey, I'm gonna be off tomorrow and Friday.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It's Memorial Day weekends. I'm taking a couple of days off.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Guess who's filling in tomorrow. Radio legend Jim Kerr from
- 12:16Speaker 1: down the hall there at Q one O four radio superstar.
- 12:19Speaker 1: But you know, you might not associate him with talk radio,
- 12:21Speaker 1: but he was quite the talk radio host for a
- 12:24Speaker 1: long time. You know, he was Rush Limbaugh's main filling
- 12:27Speaker 1: for years, did a lot of talk radio. So he'll
- 12:30Speaker 1: be here tomorrow. That'll be interesting. Ken Risotto on Friday,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and then I'll be back next week. But don't forget.
- 12:36Speaker 1: At noon it's Buck and Clay coming up with a
- 12:38Speaker 1: great show. And then three o'clock most listened to radio
