South Hill is lighting up for America’s 250th birthday with a dazzling 250-flag display, honoring heroes big and small—from firefighters to teachers—each flag bearing a medallion celebrating their impact. Started in 2016 with just a few flags, this annual tradition has grown into a powerful symbol of community pride, thanks to the South Hill Rotary Club and the Volunteer Fire Department.
