Praying for myself is easy. Intercession for others is challenging, but praying for my enemies is the hardest. It is also the highest form of prayer. It is what Jesus Himself did and calls us to do.
This is difficult because it goes against our human nature, the pull of the flesh. When someone is hostile toward us, we want to retaliate, seek revenge, or somehow win. We want to see them get what’s coming to them.
