- 1:59Speaker 8: with our guests.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Harrison and Dylan, who honestly, we just have been we've
- 2:03Speaker 1: been cooping about neighbors for a minute.
- 2:05Speaker 7: Oh yeah, so we're just yeah, we're pretty slacked to
- 2:08Speaker 7: have you in.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Honestly, I can't believe that it came together this this
- 2:11Speaker 1: quickly and this fortuitously for us, but uh, hey, good work,
- 2:16Speaker 1: Hey thanks.
- 2:17Speaker 8: Oh yeah, we're big fans.
- 2:19Speaker 6: It's a treat.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Thanks for having us here. This is cool.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Yeah, of course, have you guys done any podcast we've done.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I saw you guys on a zoom call, I saw
- 2:28Speaker 1: you on a or you were on a zoom I
- 2:30Speaker 1: think right.
- 2:30Speaker 7: And I saw you guys on a red carpet also.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, I'm glad you're getting tabs.
- 2:38Speaker 9: A couple we've done a couple. Yeah, we're still learning.
- 2:40Speaker 9: We're still learning.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Cool. Well, this one will not add any value.
- 2:45Speaker 9: It's a kind of unlearned.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Yeah, this is a training mechanism for other pods.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You might do great, not even really, because you're not
- 2:54Speaker 1: going to pick up anything here that you'll be able
- 2:56Speaker 1: to take to anywhere else.
- 2:58Speaker 7: I think it's pretty individual. It's is pretty pretty.
- 3:01Speaker 5: You guys are cool. I think we'll learn something. I
- 3:03Speaker 5: feel like i'm learning now.
- 3:07Speaker 7: I didn't know that you're a Philly guy.
- 3:08Speaker 5: I'm a Philly guy.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Whereabouts are in the Philly as from.
- 3:12Speaker 5: My dad has always lived in Center City, and then
- 3:14Speaker 5: my mom lives in the suburbs. Oh hell yeah Marion.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I went to Waldron which is in Lower Marion Academy.
- 3:21Speaker 5: What the hell?
- 3:22Speaker 7: Yeah, isn't that fucking nuts.
- 3:23Speaker 5: That's nuts. You like, Philly, I love it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I think it's one of the better, like one of
- 3:27Speaker 1: the top six cities in the Union.
- 3:29Speaker 9: Yes, totally.
- 3:31Speaker 7: You know what you think. Where are you from.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm from the Bar area, So what do you think
- 3:35Speaker 1: about I mean, I think I think that San Franz
- 3:38Speaker 1: is one of the top six cities.
- 3:39Speaker 9: I would agree. I think it's I think it's dropped
- 3:42Speaker 9: to tad over the years. Really, I think it's on
- 3:44Speaker 9: the on the decline.
- 3:46Speaker 8: Really, because I feel like that's what everyone says, but
- 3:48Speaker 8: then people that are from there are like, no, it's
- 3:50Speaker 8: actually the greatest.
- 3:52Speaker 9: No, No, I think it. It just like I grew
- 3:56Speaker 9: up there right before all just tech took over some
- 4:00Speaker 9: just go in the b area. Yeah, and it just
- 4:02Speaker 9: has since just become this like kind of just I
- 4:05Speaker 9: don't know, like just dudes to wear Patagonia vests and
- 4:09Speaker 9: like it's super sterile and just I don't know, it
- 4:11Speaker 9: lost the lost the edge that it had.
- 4:14Speaker 6: The artsy sort of you know, protest the type thing.
- 4:20Speaker 8: Right.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll tell you that. Yeah, we go to Chestnut
- 4:25Speaker 6: Street and the bars and stuff like that. I mean,
- 4:28Speaker 6: the social life there is a little insipid and really
- 4:32Speaker 6: really heavily male.
- 4:34Speaker 9: It was interesting.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 9: Interesting?
- 4:37Speaker 6: Is that the no that is the tenderline?
- 4:41Speaker 5: Right? Got it?
- 4:42Speaker 6: Or no is the tenderline gay?
- 4:43Speaker 9: No? Well, possibly it's more it's not nominally Telegraph Hill?
- 4:49Speaker 6: Oh god, where is it?
- 4:51Speaker 9: How much forgetting the name?
- 4:52Speaker 1: We did a walk around San Francisco and uh, there
- 4:55Speaker 1: were there's three dudes that just that We're standing outside
- 5:00Speaker 1: ass naked sunning, sunning their dicks and apparently they've been
- 5:03Speaker 1: doing it the same three dudes for like twenty plus years.
- 5:07Speaker 8: Dicks must be sun properly, so it feels really good.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Yeah, it fills me, It fills these guys ever done that.
- 5:16Speaker 8: I don't think my my dick has ever seen sunlight.
- 5:21Speaker 6: I don't think my dick has ever seen electric lamp.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Dude them, Yeah, definite. I think it's really good for you.
- 5:32Speaker 8: It's probably is.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I've heard of sunning your sunning your asshole is the
- 5:36Speaker 1: most efficient way to absorb vitamin see.
- 5:40Speaker 8: I think I believe it would be.
- 5:42Speaker 6: I'm sure it's not a beer.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's a beer drinking orange juice through your assholes the
- 5:49Speaker 1: fastest waiting.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Yeah right, that seems tough.
- 5:54Speaker 9: Right, you need a funnel.
- 5:56Speaker 8: You need a funnel, and you need the ability to swallow.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Right right, right right, And I think that it is possible.
- 6:06Speaker 5: It would be it would make more sense to eat
- 6:08Speaker 5: out of your ass than your.
- 6:09Speaker 8: Oh totally yeah, and then you just ship it right
- 6:13Speaker 8: out right after what.
- 6:14Speaker 7: You're saying the same hole.
- 6:17Speaker 8: Yeah, you guys picked this up quick, didn't take long.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Welcome the son of a boy dad.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Yeah, No, I think that would be way more efficient.
- 6:29Speaker 5: There's something disgusting about eating it. There's something if you
- 6:31Speaker 5: think about it too hard, you know, the.
- 6:33Speaker 7: Thing you kiss with, kiss your babies with.
- 6:35Speaker 8: Yeah, right, Also, then you could eat way healthier too,
- 6:38Speaker 8: because you don't have any taste buds like.
- 6:40Speaker 7: Yeah, no, there are taste buds on your asshole. No,
- 6:43Speaker 7: I think I said I've said this before.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Mac.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Can you can you just confirm that that there are
- 6:47Speaker 1: taste cuts on your asshole?
- 6:48Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 6:48Speaker 7: That's because I'm just about Mac, Mac.
- 6:53Speaker 9: I've heard I'm.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Asking, but I'm positive that there are taste buds on
- 6:58Speaker 1: your asshole?
- 7:00Speaker 8: Really?
- 7:01Speaker 5: What?
- 7:01Speaker 7: Yes? At the second?
- 7:02Speaker 6: So well, it's just.
- 7:10Speaker 8: God, God, So if I were to throw like some
- 7:13Speaker 8: hot sauce on my balls when I get home after
- 7:15Speaker 8: this would I be able to be.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I think you get the Pepsi challenge with your asshole.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I think you concerning assholes can taste the difference between
- 7:23Speaker 1: the Pepsi and and the other brands.
- 7:26Speaker 8: That's the Chick fil a Go.
- 7:30Speaker 7: A little bit watered down.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Uh, but yeah, they were obsessed with with the show
- 7:35Speaker 1: and it's four episodes out right now and it's, uh,
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's for people that don't know. How would you guys
- 7:42Speaker 1: best describe it? Because I don't want to assume that
- 7:44Speaker 1: everybody who's listening to this has has watched it. So
- 7:47Speaker 1: how did you guys term term your project that you're
- 7:49Speaker 1: working on.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I mean it's basically simply put a a docu series
- 7:57Speaker 5: where we follow real people around the country dealing with
- 8:00Speaker 5: or disputes in real time. And I think we were
- 8:04Speaker 5: we really were obsessed with like having it happen just
- 8:10Speaker 5: unfolding before you you know what I mean, in real time.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I think there's a lot of documentaries and stuff that
- 8:15Speaker 5: are really like in the past and it's with archival,
- 8:17Speaker 5: but I think we were just excited about really following
- 8:20Speaker 5: people in the middle of one of these things. Hardcore.
- 8:23Speaker 6: If you can't say the answer to this. Excuse me,
- 8:26Speaker 6: but are you going to show resolutions to each episode?
- 8:31Speaker 6: Are we coming back to some of these characters later?
- 8:35Speaker 6: Don't answer it, you know, I'm so curious. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 6: through one episode? Have fallen in love with some of
- 8:42Speaker 6: these people?
- 8:43Speaker 5: Yeah? Do you mean like on another season or do
- 8:45Speaker 5: you mean in the season currently right here?
- 8:48Speaker 6: Sure? Whatever you feel you could answer.
- 8:50Speaker 9: Interesting, that's interesting.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Well, I think that's interesting. What you see in the
- 8:56Speaker 5: episode is really what we have right now.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Oh yeah, have I just certainly I haven't given you
- 9:03Speaker 6: the idea for a new season.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll be right back.
- 9:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 5: What's funny. A lot of people online are being like, yeah, like, uh,
- 9:14Speaker 5: you know, they want to see more of these people,
- 9:16Speaker 5: and I think like to us, we were like, you know,
- 9:19Speaker 5: I mean yeah, I don't know it would love to too.
- 9:21Speaker 6: It felt as if you sort of cliff hung us
- 9:25Speaker 6: a bit, certainly on episode two, I think, where it's
- 9:31Speaker 6: the farm guy in the residential neighborhood and he's like,
- 9:35Speaker 6: I'm not going to pay attention to this town hall
- 9:38Speaker 6: voting thing. I'm going to get more animals, right, and
- 9:42Speaker 6: like you dangled that for me, and I was like, oh,
- 9:46Speaker 6: this is not resolved at all.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah, So yeah, it's you. You get like, you get
- 9:54Speaker 1: obsessed with the characters really quickly. And I think it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: a lot of it is because it feels really real,
- 9:59Speaker 1: and I think a lot out of it is, like
- 10:01Speaker 1: there's at one point I think in like episode three,
- 10:03Speaker 1: it almost feels like dangerous. Yeah, you guys were almost
- 10:06Speaker 1: like like threatened. Who was it that the really sexy.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Dude a generous fan?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah Johnny Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Like, uh, and I don't want to keep on assuming
- 10:17Speaker 1: that everybody has seen it.
- 10:18Speaker 7: But so what his dispute was that.
- 10:20Speaker 6: He uh, his Vietnam with vet neighbor. They're both they
- 10:25Speaker 6: both think they're spying on each other, right, and the
- 10:27Speaker 6: one of the the Vet has set up like legitimate,
- 10:30Speaker 6: fucking weird artistic cameras with cranes and stuff to look
- 10:35Speaker 6: over his fence, I assume. And then Johnny is just
- 10:38Speaker 6: constantly taking photographs. I mean, he's ultimately an artist. He
- 10:44Speaker 6: is like the show deotographer.
- 10:46Speaker 5: His photography is like unbelievable, kidding the ones.
- 10:51Speaker 6: You selected to show us there's a lizard mating.
- 10:55Speaker 9: He has an eye.
- 10:56Speaker 6: I was like, that's not he's not framing that he's
- 10:59Speaker 6: just capture, capture to share right right right now.
- 11:04Speaker 5: The first time he had four yolks, Yeah, crying that
- 11:10Speaker 5: like was really like poignant, you know what I mean,
- 11:13Speaker 5: Like because like I feel like everybody cracks a yolk
- 11:16Speaker 5: and if there's two or an egg and has two
- 11:18Speaker 5: yolks in it, and you're like fuck like.
- 11:19Speaker 7: This, Yeah, that's right after that episode. My wife was
- 11:23Speaker 7: she she cracked a fresh twelve.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And every single egg was double, No twenty four, I
- 11:32Speaker 1: swear to God, take like a video of four yolks. No,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I mean, but I think that speaks to it, like
- 11:37Speaker 1: that's the kind of thing you want to share, but
- 11:39Speaker 1: it's like a little bit too small to share.
- 11:41Speaker 8: But I mean if you get all twelve are double,
- 11:44Speaker 8: that's like you got to call somebody.
- 11:46Speaker 7: That's an emergency.
- 11:48Speaker 5: May exactly makes you concerned about.
- 11:51Speaker 7: What what's happening at the farm?
- 11:53Speaker 5: Yes?
- 11:53Speaker 7: What is going on at that farm?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yes?
- 11:55Speaker 6: Or what sort of magic is in her fingertips? She
- 11:59Speaker 6: is the mother of.
- 12:05Speaker 7: So deep so.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Multiplying no way? Yeah? Maybe maybe I.
- 12:12Speaker 7: Don't know, got weird on multiplying?
- 12:16Speaker 6: That's nuts telling you that that box was sold as
- 12:18Speaker 6: twelve single yokes and then it came.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But uh so Johnny, uh is, there's a scene and
- 12:27Speaker 1: you guys aren't featured in any of this. But then
- 12:29Speaker 1: there's a scene where Johnny is basically paranoid thinking that
- 12:33Speaker 1: you guys are setting him up or what was his
- 12:36Speaker 1: thought like? And you guys kind of had to talk
- 12:39Speaker 1: him off the ledge and then he was like, he's
- 12:41Speaker 1: basically threatening you.
- 12:42Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah, what was the.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Threat he said? He said, I don't have children, and
- 12:47Speaker 6: you guys are going to go out and have children
- 12:49Speaker 6: and I And then they were like what do you
- 12:51Speaker 6: mean by that? Which is good on you to dig
- 12:55Speaker 6: for his for clarity.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Thank you. Yeah, well yeah, just keep going.
- 12:58Speaker 6: I I can't stop. I'm answering this for you.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Well you really know the I watched it last night.
- 13:08Speaker 6: Okay, cool, it's fresh. And then he goes, uh, well
- 13:13Speaker 6: that I'm that I would threaten to kill your children,
- 13:16Speaker 6: and he like verified himself.
- 13:21Speaker 7: Did a veiled threat. And then he unveiled the.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Threat very quickly. It was like that's what he's been
- 13:26Speaker 6: doing to me, which I didn't. Did you feel that
- 13:29Speaker 6: that was just like a cop out or was he
- 13:32Speaker 6: actually that quick to come up with an example an
- 13:36Speaker 6: illustration of what he's suffered for so long.
- 13:38Speaker 9: He was I mean, he's like he's very quick, and
- 13:41Speaker 9: I think he realized what had happened and wanted to
- 13:43Speaker 9: immediately bring it back to his neighbor because he was like,
- 13:46Speaker 9: oh God, they're here for that, and that's why I
- 13:48Speaker 9: want them here. So I got to bring it back
- 13:49Speaker 9: to that as soon as possible. Like it was with Johnny,
- 13:53Speaker 9: there was like it's not it's really not the case
- 13:56Speaker 9: with most of our subjects, but with Johnny, there was
- 13:58Speaker 9: like a power play where he was like, you're here
- 14:01Speaker 9: for me, and I want you to help bring attention
- 14:04Speaker 9: to this so that my neighbor can go to jail.
- 14:07Speaker 9: And so he really wanted something from us, and of
- 14:10Speaker 9: course we were there to document him, and there's like
- 14:12Speaker 9: at one point, it's not in it, but he like
- 14:14Speaker 9: took out his camera and started filming us, and he
- 14:16Speaker 9: was like I can film you guys too, and just
- 14:19Speaker 9: like filmed us and was like what's your name, what's
- 14:21Speaker 9: your name? What's your name? And it was like he
- 14:24Speaker 9: was really.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Yeah, he was constantly filming us too.
- 14:26Speaker 9: It was like we were like this and I was
- 14:28Speaker 9: like this is and I'm like, oh, right when we're
- 14:31Speaker 9: doing that to you, Yes, I hate this.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Anytime a subject would start filming us, we was like.
- 14:38Speaker 7: Oh, right, right, right, this is what we do as
- 14:43Speaker 7: a job.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It's like when like First Amendment auditors are like out
- 14:46Speaker 1: in the world and someone like rushes up to them
- 14:48Speaker 1: with a camera. But also he acquiesced to this, like
- 14:50Speaker 1: he's like he's signed up for.
- 14:52Speaker 5: This, No Johnny, you're ye, yeah, yeah he did, and
- 14:55Speaker 5: he wanted help for his situation. So I think with
- 15:01Speaker 5: that like threat thing, what's like I think it's like
- 15:04Speaker 5: the most extreme example of someone who is within one
- 15:07Speaker 5: of these things and is just becoming so paranoid. Like
- 15:11Speaker 5: I think that like just his sort of worldview is
- 15:15Speaker 5: becoming sort of more and more warped. And so I think, yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 5: I don't know, we were pushing him on it too,
- 15:20Speaker 5: because like I think, like usually we cut that stuff
- 15:24Speaker 5: out too when we were like kind of like trying
- 15:26Speaker 5: to peel back the layers. But with that one, we
- 15:28Speaker 5: were like, man, it it's so interesting.
- 15:30Speaker 8: Yeah that was so sorry, go ahead, Oh when you
- 15:33Speaker 8: guys do this, is is it just you two that
- 15:35Speaker 8: go and film?
- 15:36Speaker 5: So it's me and Dylan and then it's my brother Sam.
- 15:40Speaker 5: He runs the other camera. I run the other another camera,
- 15:44Speaker 5: So who are two cameras? And then Dylan does sound
- 15:47Speaker 5: and then we have our producer field producer. His name
- 15:49Speaker 5: is Andy Andy Rus And that's it on the ground.
- 15:53Speaker 8: So did you guys do this, like like, did you
- 15:57Speaker 8: film this? And then it's a twenty four that picked
- 15:59Speaker 8: it up, right, that's right? And then so that's right.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Shout out to a twenty four best production company didn't
- 16:07Speaker 5: tell us to say that.
- 16:08Speaker 8: So did you guys film this and then bring it
- 16:10Speaker 8: to them or did you go to them and be
- 16:12Speaker 8: like we have this idea and they were like, well,
- 16:15Speaker 8: help you make it?
- 16:16Speaker 5: Well, you don't have to give all the detail. No, no,
- 16:18Speaker 5: we could.
- 16:19Speaker 9: Do the whole story you want to start. Yeah, we
- 16:21Speaker 9: we got basically our friend Steve Smith, who's who was
- 16:26Speaker 9: a filmmaker and designer. He reached out to us and
- 16:30Speaker 9: basically was like, I'm working for this company, Braindead, that
- 16:33Speaker 9: makes like merch and like clothing company company. Yeah, so
- 16:36Speaker 9: brain Dead at that time was giving money towards like
- 16:40Speaker 9: proof of concept like things, and so he was like,
- 16:43Speaker 9: do you have an idea for a show, and so
- 16:46Speaker 9: we were like yeah, I mean me and Harrison had
- 16:49Speaker 9: watched a lot of Harrison's brother Sam had made like
- 16:51Speaker 9: a comp YouTube comp of like insane neighbor disputes. We're like,
- 16:54Speaker 9: this is wild. Yeah, and then we were trying to
- 16:56Speaker 9: make our own like fake ones to make it seem
- 16:59Speaker 9: like they're real and whatever.
- 17:00Speaker 5: And then we were trying to we upload We made
- 17:03Speaker 5: these videos and we uploaded onto like YouTube and Lively
- 17:05Speaker 5: when Lively was still around. We were trying to convince.
- 17:08Speaker 9: People they were real, but no one. Everyone believed us. Yeah,
- 17:11Speaker 9: I don't believe this. And we were like, ultimately, real
- 17:13Speaker 9: is better. We should just actually document real ones and
- 17:18Speaker 9: so and it was also like over COVID that sort
- 17:21Speaker 9: of started to come together and we were just watching
- 17:22Speaker 9: people fight online all the time. Yeah, just like Karen fights,
- 17:26Speaker 9: like people screaming each other and parking lots masks stuff,
- 17:28Speaker 9: you know. So it's just like something here is really interesting.
- 17:32Speaker 9: And then and then we got somebody from brain Dead
- 17:35Speaker 9: and we made a pilot which is the third episode.
- 17:37Speaker 9: It's the Johnny episode. Oh wow. Yeah, so we made
- 17:39Speaker 9: that in twenty twenty one, really one, yeah, and we
- 17:42Speaker 9: just did it on our own, like we had no
- 17:43Speaker 9: idea how to make a show, never done anything like
- 17:45Speaker 9: it before, And we just went down there and lived
- 17:47Speaker 9: in with Harrison's grandparents and we just went and made
- 17:51Speaker 9: that episode just on our own. And then then we
- 17:55Speaker 9: brought on UH Central, which is Josh Saftie's company with
- 17:59Speaker 9: Eli Bush and and JP and so they saw our
- 18:04Speaker 9: deck and saw that and we're like, this is awesome,
- 18:06Speaker 9: and then they brought it day twenty four and then
- 18:08Speaker 9: you know.
- 18:08Speaker 8: It's just sort of that's all.
- 18:09Speaker 6: You had that pilot in twenty twenty one, so you
- 18:12Speaker 6: were shopping this and being Hollywood eyed for four fucking years.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Well, it's hard because this kind of like, I think
- 18:20Speaker 5: it's hard to sell a TV show, and it's like
- 18:23Speaker 5: I think the market right now is a little conservative
- 18:25Speaker 5: of like it's just hard to get something off the ground.
- 18:28Speaker 5: So I think we had this amazing pilot that we loved,
- 18:31Speaker 5: and you know, our sort of higher level of producers
- 18:35Speaker 5: loved it, and I think they were just waiting for
- 18:37Speaker 5: the right time to like write, mom.
- 18:39Speaker 6: That's what they always fucking tell you.
- 18:42Speaker 9: That is right.
- 18:42Speaker 1: The fact that came true for you guys has to
- 18:44Speaker 1: like it may it like you must believe in the
- 18:46Speaker 1: world because of that like for everybody else.
- 18:49Speaker 5: God, no, I got hearing man. You know what's crazy
- 18:52Speaker 5: is when we made the we made the pilot. When
- 18:55Speaker 5: we were casting the pilot, we on Craigslist wrote this
- 18:59Speaker 5: is for an HBO show, even though it was not HBO.
- 19:03Speaker 5: For the next you know, three.
- 19:04Speaker 9: Years, you just made that up because no one was
- 19:05Speaker 9: gonna take it seriously. They're like, these guys are creeps.
- 19:08Speaker 9: Why are they wanting people to film? You know, it's
- 19:10Speaker 9: like on Craigslist. Like, yes, we're like, oh, it's an
- 19:12Speaker 9: HBO show.
- 19:14Speaker 8: That's so you guys put Craigslist ads. That's unreal.
- 19:18Speaker 9: Yeah, that's how we found the two those I mean
- 19:20Speaker 9: both of those stories kind of yeah, yeah, we're both
- 19:22Speaker 9: on from credit.
- 19:23Speaker 6: How many how many submissions did you get?
- 19:28Speaker 5: Thousands?
- 19:31Speaker 6: Because submissions the ones you found are I mean the
- 19:35Speaker 6: level of delusion and eccentricity on both sides. That's what
- 19:41Speaker 6: I love about the show.
- 19:42Speaker 7: It's balanced.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Yeah, you present as if, well, clearly these people are
- 19:48Speaker 6: in the wrong and these people are in the right,
- 19:50Speaker 6: and then halfway through the episode you're like, but hold
- 19:52Speaker 6: on a second. The guy we thought was in the
- 19:55Speaker 6: right has been watching Ellen DeGeneres live for every day
- 20:00Speaker 6: for ten years, or like you start presenting these little I.
- 20:05Speaker 7: Think that's the genius of it too.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Like the way that you guys the speed at which
- 20:08Speaker 1: the edit happens, and then the way that you guys
- 20:11Speaker 1: revealed details is so fucking funny because out of nowhere,
- 20:14Speaker 1: someone you thought was like pretty rational is like going
- 20:17Speaker 1: to like a crystal facility or something like that, or has.
- 20:21Speaker 6: The sound like the woman's uh manager in the episode
- 20:28Speaker 6: She's got the Cats.
- 20:29Speaker 8: Yes, yeah, exactly, yeah, woman, And I was pro. I
- 20:36Speaker 8: was pro the cat lady. Just to learn I was
- 20:38Speaker 8: on the cat lady.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Why oh good. I love cool.
- 20:43Speaker 7: But they were running rough shot around the neighborhood.
- 20:47Speaker 8: They weren't doing it.
- 20:47Speaker 7: I thought that that was the.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I thought that that was the one whe where the
- 20:53Speaker 1: victims of that, the family who was being terrorized by
- 20:56Speaker 1: the cats, seemed the most rational.
- 20:59Speaker 8: I understood they were mad, but it's just so funny
- 21:01Speaker 8: to me to like walk outside and see a bunch
- 21:03Speaker 8: of cats and just be fucking furious, like these goddamn cats.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Yeah, if you're a cat person, it's like cat you.
- 21:11Speaker 9: Know, ye is right?
- 21:12Speaker 8: Yeah, right there. Brier.
- 21:16Speaker 7: It was his first house. He's probably excited to have
- 21:18Speaker 7: a house.
- 21:20Speaker 6: He's in prison.
- 21:21Speaker 7: Yeah right, he was in prison, folks.

- 21:45Speaker 8: one of the best coffees I've ever had. I just
- 21:47Speaker 8: that's what I was just drinking during the episode.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Okay, I just.
- 21:53Speaker 8: Feel felt like I would give my personal endorsement.
- 21:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I thought Francis was doing fine.
- 21:56Speaker 9: I was on a roll.
- 21:57Speaker 8: Well, when I've got a personal endorsement, I like to
- 21:59Speaker 8: get it out.
- 22:00Speaker 6: Where was I still a blue? Okay? Right now, Stella

- 22:50Speaker 6: are good, good beans. These are big time beans. They
- 22:55Speaker 6: did the work and there's a reason that this is
- 22:57Speaker 6: one of the best sort of in house brands have
- 23:00Speaker 6: at barstool. Uh, don't forget Buy anything on stell Blue
- 23:04Speaker 6: Coffee dot com from Wednesday, March eleventh to Friday, March
- 23:06Speaker 6: thirteenth to get entered to win two tickets to the
- 23:09Speaker 6: men's college basketball National Championship. Did you guys have anything
- 23:14Speaker 6: to do with them getting cast on? Judge Judy, No, No,
- 23:18Speaker 6: because that yeah, that was that was that was just
- 23:20Speaker 6: that happened naturally in the course you'd already selected them
- 23:23Speaker 6: and then that happened. Yes, that's amazing.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Well, it's funny because like people, it feels like, you know,
- 23:30Speaker 5: there's like a few different routes that you can take
- 23:33Speaker 5: if you have a neighbor dispute, you know, like you
- 23:35Speaker 5: obviously call the police and they tell you that you know,
- 23:37Speaker 5: the police just can't do anything, Beau, It's a silver matter.
- 23:39Speaker 5: I'm sorry, Like deal with your neighbor. You know, you
- 23:43Speaker 5: can sue them and go to court, and then you
- 23:44Speaker 5: can also just go on Judge Judy, which is right.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Truly people do that, you know, I mean, which is
- 23:50Speaker 5: why we thought it was so interesting, Like this is
- 23:54Speaker 5: that it just makes that show also just feel more real.
- 23:57Speaker 9: Yeah, totally. Well, because it's also like we wanted this
- 23:59Speaker 9: sho show to have all these different ways in which
- 24:02Speaker 9: people try to resolve in a dispute and ultimately fail,
- 24:05Speaker 9: but to have one of those be going on a
- 24:08Speaker 9: on a Judge show felt apt because it's like we
- 24:11Speaker 9: we we were constantly like on Judge Judy, there are
- 24:14Speaker 9: tons of neighbor disputes, Like it's like a quarter of
- 24:17Speaker 9: what goes on Judge Judy are like neighbor disputes. It
- 24:19Speaker 9: all isn't you know, it all goes into small claims
- 24:21Speaker 9: or whatever. It's where like that feels like an important
- 24:23Speaker 9: texture to add into the into the sort of world
- 24:26Speaker 9: of neighbor disputes.
- 24:27Speaker 8: So did you guys get to go to the Judge?
- 24:29Speaker 8: You guys got to see Judy?
- 24:31Speaker 6: No, they tried. They started with.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Totally yeah, and then we were like, damn, like this
- 24:39Speaker 5: was a bad idea to do this story. We were
- 24:42Speaker 5: like the whole time we were like, we're gonna film
- 24:44Speaker 5: Judge Judy, and then it like got to that point
- 24:45Speaker 5: like how the fuck are we gonna film Judge? We
- 24:50Speaker 5: were like, how.
- 24:51Speaker 9: Do you even get in?
- 24:52Speaker 10: You can't just go to Judge Judy, especially it's like
- 24:57Speaker 10: a showd I didn't think it lost anything by not
- 25:02Speaker 10: just like.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Filming your shadow in the parking lot walking away.
- 25:05Speaker 8: I thought I'm leaving and like like when when the
- 25:08Speaker 8: exit interview of like what is it her sister or
- 25:11Speaker 8: something where she's like that went bad?
- 25:13Speaker 5: Oh a friend? Yeah, she was like I knew that
- 25:16Speaker 5: wasn't gonna go.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Yeah. That was like the funniest shit I've ever seen.
- 25:21Speaker 6: But it was all You ended it so nicely for
- 25:23Speaker 6: her by like having her meet with this producer that
- 25:26Speaker 6: she's been keen to meet with forever, and that was
- 25:28Speaker 6: hysterical where he was like, my brain can't take any more.
- 25:34Speaker 5: I think we get excited. I think like the more
- 25:36Speaker 5: that we were making the show, the more we were
- 25:38Speaker 5: excited to like like as much as we can make
- 25:40Speaker 5: it like not actually about the neighbor dispute sort of
- 25:43Speaker 5: the funnier and cooler it became to us, you know,
- 25:45Speaker 5: like those diversions were like just so exciting.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, oh man.
- 25:51Speaker 7: Yeah it's so great. Well, how many how much footage?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Because it's like you're doing it's like twenty five minute episodes,
- 25:56Speaker 1: thirty minute episodes, yeah, thirty minute episodes and so, but
- 25:59Speaker 1: it's two storylines, like fifteen minutes per storyline, and so
- 26:02Speaker 1: how much footage are you taking down to fifteen minutes?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Because it goes fast, which makes it very digestible, especially
- 26:09Speaker 1: for my dumb ass, fucking tik tok brain.
- 26:12Speaker 7: But I think that we did that on purpose.
- 26:14Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, our brains are totally fry. Yeah, we're
- 26:17Speaker 9: like we're bored. We're bored, we're bored.
- 26:21Speaker 1: We're equally as fried. And yeah, this show looks like
- 26:25Speaker 1: so is it? Like I mean, it's got to be
- 26:27Speaker 1: like days of footage.
- 26:28Speaker 9: Yeah, oh yeah, I mean we spent we shot pretty
- 26:31Speaker 9: much every day around six hours to eight hours a
- 26:36Speaker 9: day for two to three weeks per story. Yeah, so
- 26:40Speaker 9: it's a lot of it's a lot of footage.
- 26:42Speaker 5: We live with them like the whole time, and we
- 26:46Speaker 5: don't shoot, which honestly we if we get a season
- 26:49Speaker 5: two we might have to change. But like we don't
- 26:51Speaker 5: really like we really embed ourselves in their lives and
- 26:54Speaker 5: we don't do like really days off.
- 26:56Speaker 9: With them either.
- 26:56Speaker 5: We're just like with them for like, yeah, like everything
- 26:59Speaker 5: everything two or three weeks. Really they're like, oh, I
- 27:01Speaker 5: gotta go to the pharmacy. It's like, oh we can
- 27:02Speaker 5: we come home?
- 27:03Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 27:04Speaker 8: Is there like moments when you're with them for the
- 27:06Speaker 8: two to three weeks or you're like like, this is it,
- 27:09Speaker 8: this is what we've been waiting for, and they like
- 27:11Speaker 8: all finally.
- 27:12Speaker 7: Just like throw yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 8: Yeah, Like are you guys going nutsowing that you're like
- 27:17Speaker 8: we got with this is gold.
- 27:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 5: That moment in particular, when she's starring the Bushes, we
- 27:22Speaker 5: were like because we also, you know, is the first
- 27:25Speaker 5: one we were making, so we were like we were like,
- 27:28Speaker 5: thank god, this is I mean it was insane. Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 8: Does anyone like ham it up for the camera?
- 27:34Speaker 6: That's what I was gonna ask, Yeah, or you or are.
- 27:36Speaker 8: They that's just there, that's just their natural state.
- 27:38Speaker 6: Are they being performative at all?
- 27:39Speaker 9: You know, that's like something we're constantly trying to figure
- 27:42Speaker 9: out while we're making it. As like, and then at
- 27:44Speaker 9: a certain point we stopped caring because they're just like,
- 27:46Speaker 9: you know it, it is hard to know if how
- 27:49Speaker 9: the like the camera's changing them somehow, Like there's no
- 27:53Speaker 9: doubt there's some impact, yeah, but it's just it's just
- 27:55Speaker 9: hard to know how much. And so we kind of
- 27:58Speaker 9: just go in there and just be like, whatever happens
- 28:01Speaker 9: is real, yeah, like and whether you want to whether
- 28:05Speaker 9: they're handing it up or not, it's you know, it's
- 28:07Speaker 9: on them.
- 28:08Speaker 6: But yeah, we get her to admit that she sold
- 28:11Speaker 6: her kids piss to help her friends get out of
- 28:13Speaker 6: like parole violations. Like you had a moment where you
- 28:18Speaker 6: had a moment where she was like, can I tell
- 28:20Speaker 6: them that you used my son's piss? And he's like,
- 28:23Speaker 6: oh no, absolutely, how do you How do you get
- 28:27Speaker 6: to use that? Have they all signed releases?
- 28:29Speaker 9: Everyone?
- 28:32Speaker 6: So you just hot that guy?
- 28:34Speaker 5: He just had himself right, Yeah, Yeah, it was it
- 28:39Speaker 5: was our you watched the Yeah, pissed them all.
- 28:50Speaker 6: Of course, I did.
- 28:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I think, you know, Dylan, we co direct the show,
- 28:57Speaker 5: but Dylan does sound on your camera, so Dylan has
- 28:59Speaker 5: like it's like a whole other world. Yeah, just audio,
- 29:04Speaker 5: just hearing what people in the bathroom like anything, or
- 29:08Speaker 5: like Dylan's like a mile ahead of us being like
- 29:10Speaker 5: guys like, yeah, they're like they're actually freaking out right now.
- 29:15Speaker 5: I don't think we're gonna have to end the day.
- 29:16Speaker 5: We're like they were so down, like you.
- 29:19Speaker 9: Know, yeah, they'll they'll, you know, we'll like be like,
- 29:22Speaker 9: you know, we'll we'll show up and start filming like, oh,
- 29:24Speaker 9: it's so good to see you guys, and then they'll
- 29:25Speaker 9: be Mike and we'll go away and be like he's fucking.
- 29:30Speaker 7: So tired of the ship.
- 29:32Speaker 9: Yeah, I think we're gonna have a limited.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Day five and you're just there still so funny, and
- 29:38Speaker 1: I know I've heard in interviews you guys are like,
- 29:40Speaker 1: we don't want to punch down, but you do sometimes
- 29:43Speaker 1: cook them in the edit. Like there was the guy
- 29:46Speaker 1: uh An episode I don't know episode I haven't seen
- 29:51Speaker 1: episode four an episode four. It's not gonna give it away,
- 29:55Speaker 1: but there's a guy who's like I've strayed from my
- 29:57Speaker 1: party a little bit. So they call me a report
- 30:00Speaker 1: booking and name only. So I bought this here picture
- 30:03Speaker 1: and like they call me a rhino. So I got
- 30:05Speaker 1: this picture and it's just like a picture of an elephant.
- 30:09Speaker 7: Just you just leave it on it like and it
- 30:11Speaker 7: just like lingers for just a second. Everybody can get
- 30:14Speaker 7: right pause.
- 30:17Speaker 6: You held on the guy, the farmer guy who was like, well,
- 30:21Speaker 6: I don't know if I should say this. She did
- 30:25Speaker 6: only fans and awesome parties with fucking Jamie Fox and
- 30:32Speaker 6: like all these hot chicks and like just yeah, he's
- 30:34Speaker 6: just hanging himself. Was pregnant, wife's down the hall being like.
- 30:38Speaker 7: M hmm right, yeah, you know.
- 30:40Speaker 5: And and I think, like, I mean, I think we're
- 30:44Speaker 5: pretty like militant in the edit about keeping things in.
- 30:49Speaker 5: They really have to like function or like reveal something
- 30:52Speaker 5: about the the person that like complicates it, you know.
- 30:55Speaker 5: And I think like that only fans stuff was important
- 30:58Speaker 5: to us. Also, I mean it's a really funny moment
- 31:00Speaker 5: that pauses like amazing, and we love the I mean
- 31:04Speaker 5: it's really rare to actually get those kind of pauses
- 31:08Speaker 5: because usually they start talking to media after so we
- 31:10Speaker 5: always keep it in. But I think, like, you know,
- 31:13Speaker 5: I think that OnlyFans stuff is funny, but it's also
- 31:16Speaker 5: like it deepens why he's you know, doing this farm
- 31:20Speaker 5: and stuff, which was so exciting, you know, and something
- 31:23Speaker 5: that you wouldn't know if you just like saw it
- 31:24Speaker 5: in the news how we saw it initially, you.
- 31:26Speaker 9: Know, Yeah, like when we found the story, we had
- 31:29Speaker 9: no idea that he had done only fans, Like it
- 31:32Speaker 9: was in the local newspaper that there was like a
- 31:34Speaker 9: dispute over a farm in a front of some person's
- 31:36Speaker 9: front law and we're like, this is interesting. And then
- 31:39Speaker 9: as we got to know him, he basically was like,
- 31:41Speaker 9: you know, I wanted to start a new chapter of
- 31:44Speaker 9: my life. You know, I did some stuff in the
- 31:46Speaker 9: past that I want to move on from.
- 31:48Speaker 5: And we're like, what what stuff? Yeah, so awesome to
- 31:51Speaker 5: be like, you know, it's funny you film with these people,
- 31:54Speaker 5: and then we go back to our airbaby or wherever
- 31:56Speaker 5: we're staying, and we're just like, oh, what's that.
- 32:00Speaker 6: The hardest I've laughed in the whole show by far
- 32:04Speaker 6: I had to pause it to like catch my breath
- 32:07Speaker 6: and then go back and watch it again is when
- 32:11Speaker 6: it's that storyline and the I'm assuming the gay neighbor
- 32:15Speaker 6: who is fed up with him is notices the rack
- 32:19Speaker 6: for the fifty pheasants and the way you put that editing.
- 32:23Speaker 6: As it's dawning on him, he's like, what do you
- 32:25Speaker 6: think that racks for? Like collecting eggs.
- 32:29Speaker 7: Fifty?
- 32:32Speaker 6: I was fucking tears. I was gasping at that. And

- 33:45Speaker 5: Yeah that, I mean that killed us too. I mean
- 33:49Speaker 5: it also is just funny that he says, what the frick? Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 5: for some reason, it is so funny. We film so
- 33:56Speaker 5: much and very rarely are we filming. We look at
- 34:00Speaker 5: each other like, ah, this is really funny. It's like
- 34:02Speaker 5: in the edit room that we're watching it, we're like, what,
- 34:05Speaker 5: like we forgot. We're basically falling asleep sometimes when we're filming,
- 34:08Speaker 5: you know what I mean, because it's like so long.
- 34:11Speaker 7: Yeah, because this is their lives.
- 34:12Speaker 1: It's just like this is how they're living, so it's
- 34:14Speaker 1: not even absurd to them, Like it's just like this
- 34:16Speaker 1: is their constant state that they're in. And then once
- 34:19Speaker 1: you like can like get every little moment lined up
- 34:21Speaker 1: like that.
- 34:22Speaker 7: It's what makes it amazing.
- 34:23Speaker 1: What were you guys doing before you got successful at this,
- 34:27Speaker 1: before you fucking started killing it at this? Like, uh,
- 34:31Speaker 1: just making making movies making.
- 34:32Speaker 9: We're making like like like internet videos basically.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, just like.
- 34:37Speaker 9: I mean, you know, making stuff. We were me and Harrison,
- 34:41Speaker 9: We're living in Florida, Miami, and we were working with
- 34:44Speaker 9: this like sort of film collective down there, and we
- 34:47Speaker 9: were just basically making stuff and like you know, I
- 34:50Speaker 9: don't know, like comedy internet videos that no one watched
- 34:53Speaker 9: and basically cut our teeth doing that. And then yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 9: and then sort of COVID happen and we had an
- 35:00Speaker 9: opportunity to go make a pilot I had done, like,
- 35:04Speaker 9: you know, my my dad was a documentary filmmaker, so
- 35:07Speaker 9: I kind of like and I you know, helped on
- 35:09Speaker 9: his stuff and I'd done some doc stuff in the past,
- 35:12Speaker 9: but like nothing that was at all substantial, you know.
- 35:16Speaker 9: It was just like I don't know, just making Internet
- 35:18Speaker 9: videos basically.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Yeah, to put on Instagram on it, yeah, like it
- 35:21Speaker 5: was on videos and you know, stuff like that, try
- 35:24Speaker 5: to get them into film festivals.
- 35:25Speaker 9: And no one wanted that wanted that.
- 35:27Speaker 5: No one wanted that, but then we also I did
- 35:30Speaker 5: music videos and like commercial stuff.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Is there money and music videos no, no, no no,
- 35:36Speaker 1: And it's a lot. Everybody wants them for free, like
- 35:38Speaker 1: every artist wants them for free.
- 35:39Speaker 5: I know, I know. It's really like a bad game
- 35:43Speaker 5: to get into, like it's bad and it's not. Yeah,
- 35:46Speaker 5: and it's you know with music videos too, it's like
- 35:48Speaker 5: if you're a director, it's like you I feel like
- 35:50Speaker 5: he gets to the point where like you're just you know,
- 35:53Speaker 5: it's really in service of the artists, and so if
- 35:55Speaker 5: you really don't like the artist but you're making the video,
- 35:57Speaker 5: it's just like I don't know.
- 36:00Speaker 7: Yeah, let's like rap rap videos.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Or I mean I would do I would do a
- 36:04Speaker 5: rap video. I mean, you know, it was absolutely.
- 36:08Speaker 12: No.
- 36:08Speaker 5: But yeah, music videos, you know, I don't know.
- 36:10Speaker 9: I mean, I can't think the last time I sat
- 36:12Speaker 9: down the computers like I want to watch a music
- 36:14Speaker 9: video like you're dad.
- 36:15Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, they used to rule.
- 36:19Speaker 8: It used to be awesome, due it hasn't been an
- 36:22Speaker 8: even good ones recently.
- 36:24Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, what's an amazing one? There's an a Yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 5: LSD well LSD is cool, but it's not that one.
- 36:35Speaker 8: I know, I think I know the one you're talking about,
- 36:36Speaker 8: but one in like Russia. Oh, I was thinking of Paris. Huh,
- 36:41Speaker 8: I was thinking of another one. I guess rock.
- 36:43Speaker 1: He's got some bay Anyways, Yeah, I thought the ls
- 36:49Speaker 1: I thought the LSD one was sick. Britney Spears had
- 36:53Speaker 1: some fucking bangers too. We did a music video draft
- 36:55Speaker 1: one time and Britney Spears had all heat. Maybe it's
- 36:59Speaker 1: just because of my agent how horny it made me
- 37:01Speaker 1: at the time, but it was fantastic Britney Spears music video.
- 37:05Speaker 1: She had some fucking bangers. Toxic, that was my god.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Toxic was an old time So this is.
- 37:12Speaker 1: The souse she had, the diamond, she had like a
- 37:15Speaker 1: diamond body sued.
- 37:16Speaker 6: On never knew I had an erotic fixation on flight attendants.
- 37:19Speaker 9: And all that.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 37:23Speaker 8: Really, the only Britney Spears one I've ever seen is
- 37:26Speaker 8: the baby Baby One More Time, Baby, One More Time,
- 37:29Speaker 8: only because he was on sing Star two on the
- 37:31Speaker 8: PlayStation two. It was like one of like ten songs.
- 37:35Speaker 6: That one didn't do it for me.
- 37:36Speaker 8: She was too young, well, I was probably like eight.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Definitely was one more Oops. I did it again when
- 37:43Speaker 6: the red latex suit for sure.
- 37:46Speaker 8: She's the same age in that one.
- 37:47Speaker 6: No, no, no, that's a different album.
- 37:49Speaker 8: You might want to get your facts straight, Lucky.
- 37:52Speaker 6: I got oops if Oops I Did It Again is
- 37:56Speaker 6: on the same album as her?
- 37:59Speaker 7: Uh bed that it's not if she's done it again?
- 38:02Speaker 6: Correct?
- 38:02Speaker 7: You know what I mean?
- 38:03Speaker 1: Baby one More Time was Oops I did it? Yeah,
- 38:05Speaker 1: and then Oops I.
- 38:06Speaker 9: Did it again?
- 38:06Speaker 5: Oh?
- 38:07Speaker 1: Interesting, like another foray into doing it. See that's two thousand.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Oops I Did It Again came out in ninety six,
- 38:13Speaker 1: or Baby one More Time came out in ninety six.
- 38:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean it's four years.
- 38:17Speaker 9: Interesting?
- 38:18Speaker 8: Was there a crucial four years? Yeah?
- 38:21Speaker 6: She went from you know it entered her dark sha.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Yeah, she became of age, she became a legal one.
- 38:28Speaker 6: This was her Sergeant Pepper's.
- 38:31Speaker 7: Have you guys ever in.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Your lives been a bad neighbor? Was there ever a time?
- 38:36Speaker 1: Or you guys pretty model citizens? Were any neighbor disputes
- 38:38Speaker 1: even or like bad neighbors that you had?
- 38:44Speaker 9: We had when when we were making we were editing
- 38:47Speaker 9: the show, we actually got into kind of a neighbor
- 38:49Speaker 9: dispute because the we edited the show in New York.
- 38:53Speaker 9: At this the production company Gummy Films which like helped
- 38:56Speaker 9: produce the show. And while we were editing, like come
- 39:02Speaker 9: like maybe four pm, the next door neighbor would start
- 39:06Speaker 9: practicing his DJ sets and there were actually three different
- 39:09Speaker 9: DJs in different rooms, all practicing at the same time.
- 39:13Speaker 9: Damn completely different types of music like reggaetone and then
- 39:16Speaker 9: like deep house and then rap music, and it would
- 39:19Speaker 9: just all start out like four and go until like midnight,
- 39:22Speaker 9: and we were just like this is insane, like how
- 39:24Speaker 9: can we possibly concentrate? But we're ultimately kind of whims
- 39:28Speaker 9: and we're just like, we're just not gonna say anything.
- 39:31Speaker 9: It's anything because they're ultimately sort of pussies about it,
- 39:33Speaker 9: and we're just gonna sit and keep editing. And then
- 39:36Speaker 9: over time we got kind of used to it. Yeah,
- 39:38Speaker 9: and then and then it actually was sort of nice.
- 39:40Speaker 9: You couldn't edit without it. Yeah, it's like Pavlovi, like
- 39:43Speaker 9: there are DJs like what happened And he's a really
- 39:46Speaker 9: nice and then we met him and he's a really
- 39:47Speaker 9: nice school and we were like, Okay, it's it's not
- 39:50Speaker 9: his fault.
- 39:51Speaker 8: Don't you think like why wouldn't they just throw some
- 39:52Speaker 8: headphones in?
- 39:53Speaker 9: Though it's a great question right.
- 39:55Speaker 8: It's you know what, Yeah, I guess you got to
- 39:57Speaker 8: practice how you play.
- 39:58Speaker 9: It's actually something we could have fracticed.
- 40:00Speaker 1: But yeah, exactly, or you guys, maybe you'd be like,
- 40:03Speaker 1: why don't you throw headphones in?
- 40:04Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 40:04Speaker 5: Right, right, well we have had headphones and then yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 5: it's funny. There was like this this French news outlet
- 40:16Speaker 5: that wrote something about Neighbors and and they said something
- 40:19Speaker 5: about I translated it and it was talking about how like
- 40:21Speaker 5: the edit felt like gabber music. And then I was
- 40:24Speaker 5: just like, well, that's probably because we were just listening
- 40:27Speaker 5: to that shitule just like.
- 40:31Speaker 7: Like you you use some of the show. Is it
- 40:32Speaker 7: like a what is that lens? It's like a.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Fish eye or is it like three sixty Yeah, three sixty,
- 40:37Speaker 1: And it's just like it just makes it feel very
- 40:39Speaker 1: like unique and proprietary.
- 40:41Speaker 5: Cool.
- 40:42Speaker 7: Yeah, what's the thought? Like what why?
- 40:44Speaker 1: Why that it really pops in the first episode when
- 40:47Speaker 1: you're like on the beach and you're just like seeing
- 40:49Speaker 1: like the entire world.
- 40:50Speaker 5: Yeah, totally. I had been using those cameras for like
- 40:55Speaker 5: the videos Dylan and I were talking about, you know,
- 40:58Speaker 5: before doing Neighbor, and I'm just obsessed with that camera,
- 41:03Speaker 5: and we just get so excited about it because you
- 41:05Speaker 5: can just manipulate wherever the camera go. You can animate
- 41:08Speaker 5: the camera basically after you shoot it.
- 41:11Speaker 8: It's really what kind of camera is it?
- 41:13Speaker 5: It's called it. It's just a three sixty camera?
- 41:15Speaker 9: Is it?
- 41:15Speaker 6: Like the go pro one?
- 41:16Speaker 5: Well, we use the Insta three sixty and then we
- 41:18Speaker 5: use the GoPro Max.
- 41:20Speaker 8: Nice.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I've watched YouTube videos of DJ sets where
- 41:23Speaker 1: they have that. You can just like while you're in
- 41:26Speaker 1: the video, you can like see it just capturing everything simultaneously.
- 41:29Speaker 8: That's pretty cool.
- 41:30Speaker 5: It's yeah sick. I think also like we were always
- 41:33Speaker 5: wanting to actually film a real confrontation with one of
- 41:36Speaker 5: them because we had done videos were.
- 41:40Speaker 7: Both sides of the confrontation.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Exactly, And so yeah that that confrontation in the with
- 41:47Speaker 5: the auditor was really exciting.
- 41:48Speaker 6: It's very Coen Brothers of you. Oh yeah, well, you
- 41:51Speaker 6: know he he doesn't do the over the shoulder shot
- 41:54Speaker 6: for dialogue. He puts the camera right in the middle
- 41:56Speaker 6: of the table.
- 41:56Speaker 5: Oh really, I didn't know that. Yeah, interesting, what do
- 41:59Speaker 5: you kind of know them?
- 42:00Speaker 8: Which one? I'm sorry answer all the questions? Which one
- 42:03Speaker 8: does that?
- 42:04Speaker 7: Excuse me?
- 42:05Speaker 5: Well, you said the Coen Brothers, I'm asking which one.
- 42:07Speaker 8: Yeah, I can't, dude.
- 42:11Speaker 5: I love the Coen Brothers.
- 42:13Speaker 6: They're they're they They said about it that they always
- 42:17Speaker 6: wondered why anyone would think that's not How like that
- 42:20Speaker 6: puts you in the conversation. Yeah, right, when you're having
- 42:22Speaker 6: the conversation, you're only seeing the other person. Yeah, so
- 42:25Speaker 6: in those dialogue shots, but everyone else in film always
- 42:28Speaker 6: does it over the shoulder.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, totally over the shoulder. Kind of feels film
- 42:32Speaker 5: schoolly or.
- 42:32Speaker 6: Something, right.
- 42:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Did they do No Country for Old Men?
- 42:36Speaker 1: Yes, I just rewatched that this week.
- 42:40Speaker 7: Rips yet that.
- 42:42Speaker 5: Movie too, Like there's just like so much of it
- 42:45Speaker 5: is like there's no dialogue. You're just like tracking a guy,
- 42:49Speaker 5: like the whole beginning with him trying to get the
- 42:51Speaker 5: money and the dog is chasing him.
- 42:52Speaker 7: Yeah, it's just like kind of quiet and just like still.
- 42:56Speaker 9: Doom the whole time.
- 42:58Speaker 6: Yeah, dread that's Cormack McCarthy. Did you guys read the book.
- 43:02Speaker 5: It was a book, really good, dude. I've never read
- 43:04Speaker 5: anything by him, but I heard He's horses.
- 43:07Speaker 8: I had to read the book in high school. I'd
- 43:09Speaker 8: read the book in high school, and I didn't. I
- 43:12Speaker 8: watched the movie. Apparently there are some major differences.
- 43:16Speaker 1: They caught your ass. She loft some fucking dangling questions
- 43:21Speaker 1: on that test.
- 43:22Speaker 8: You had to read the book for school for school,
- 43:25Speaker 8: and I was like, well, I'll just watch the movies.
- 43:28Speaker 8: And then I was just writing Ship directly based on
- 43:30Speaker 8: the movie. And like, obviously the movie is probably more
- 43:35Speaker 8: famous than the book at this point, so like the
- 43:38Speaker 8: teacher was like, this is clearly from the movie and
- 43:41Speaker 8: not the book.
- 43:44Speaker 6: Yeah, trying to think. I can't. I can't remember what
- 43:46Speaker 6: the differences were. But stuff with sugar, I think way haunting, haunting,
- 43:52Speaker 6: haunting villain there.
- 43:53Speaker 7: I think I did that with Julius Caesar.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I think I like we were like it was like
- 43:57Speaker 1: a Latin classhere, it's supposed to learn about the history
- 43:59Speaker 1: of Julia Caesar, and I was just basing it off
- 44:01Speaker 1: the play at the Shakespeare play.
- 44:04Speaker 7: I don't think a two brute is like and that's
- 44:06Speaker 7: not history, that's Shakespeare.
- 44:10Speaker 6: I know, I'm sure you're kidding, but like, to opt
- 44:14Speaker 6: for a play.
- 44:17Speaker 7: I'm going to read the entire Shakespeare works. In Iambic
- 44:19Speaker 7: Pentamic committed to.
- 44:21Speaker 6: Memory, I read this fucking thing. I'm going to read
- 44:24Speaker 6: the play that.
- 44:26Speaker 8: Allready, folks, Let's talk about Factor. Somewhere between the first
- 44:32Speaker 8: warm weekend and realizing short season is getting close, eating
- 44:35Speaker 8: well stops feeling optional. Factor is how I stopped letting
- 44:39Speaker 8: a busy schedule be my excuse fully prepared meals designed
- 44:43Speaker 8: by dietitians and crafted by chefs ready and.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Too, let me just jump in here. I've been loving
- 44:47Speaker 1: Factor a little personal endorsement. I love the chicken. I
- 44:51Speaker 1: feel like it really knocks my one. I can't pick
- 44:55Speaker 1: if you're if you're, if you're want to make me
- 44:56Speaker 1: pick between my favorite uh factor chicken non trees.
- 45:00Speaker 7: I'm a fan of.
- 45:01Speaker 8: The shredded chicken taco bowl, but I like the chicken
- 45:04Speaker 8: bread the chickens.
- 45:05Speaker 6: If I can just leap on top of roans, jump
- 45:09Speaker 6: in for one second. The thing that I like the
- 45:12Speaker 6: most about Factor is it allows me to know that
- 45:15Speaker 6: my ingredients are portioned correctly without needing to do all
- 45:18Speaker 6: the difficult cleanup and annoying.
- 45:21Speaker 8: Yeah, I think mine would probably be the not refined sugars,
- 45:24Speaker 8: no artificial sweeteners, and no defined seed oils. But whatever
- 45:29Speaker 8: floats your guys boat, uh Factor has quality, functional ingredients
- 45:34Speaker 8: including lean proteins, colorful veggies, whole food ingredients, and healthy facts.

- 46:05Speaker 1: I have one time in my life that I think,
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm sure I was a bad neighbor and I was
- 46:10Speaker 1: eight years old, and I just it was when I
- 46:13Speaker 1: was first left home alone by my family. Like that's
- 46:18Speaker 1: around the age when you're like left home alone. It
- 46:21Speaker 1: was like during the day.
- 46:22Speaker 8: Eight's pretty young.
- 46:23Speaker 9: Yeah, it's pretty young, but I think.
- 46:27Speaker 1: You were left alone eight years old, Yeah, at home,
- 46:34Speaker 1: lot of fighting. And I think it was like the
- 46:38Speaker 1: first time that like intrusive thoughts come into your head
- 46:42Speaker 1: because you're like when the freedom of your like eight
- 46:44Speaker 1: year old mind and.
- 46:45Speaker 7: Body and stuff like that.
- 46:47Speaker 1: And uh, the newspaper got delivered in the morning and
- 46:51Speaker 1: it was like a weekend day and I was I
- 46:54Speaker 1: don't know, why the intrusive thought came in, But I
- 46:56Speaker 1: was like, what if I go get the newspaper ass naked?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Wo Yeah, And I fucking sprinted down the driveway ass
- 47:06Speaker 1: naked and grabbed my own newspaper as like an eight
- 47:10Speaker 1: year old boy, And like ever since then, I just
- 47:13Speaker 1: have always just been like why did I do?
- 47:15Speaker 7: Why did I ever do that?
- 47:16Speaker 1: And then I'll put myself in like the position of
- 47:19Speaker 1: like my Asian neighbors of like if they're just like
- 47:22Speaker 1: cracking the fucking the blinds to just see a little
- 47:27Speaker 1: a little naked eight year old boy like sprinting as
- 47:29Speaker 1: fast as he can to get the paper and like
- 47:31Speaker 1: dodging back through the door like breathlessly.
- 47:34Speaker 8: What did your dad do that? Was he like a
- 47:36Speaker 8: big go out get the paper?
- 47:38Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 47:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I guess.
- 47:42Speaker 5: That's beautiful though, that's beautiful. I think I think that's
- 47:46Speaker 5: just you know, a beautiful child's mind, right.
- 47:50Speaker 1: It's a nasty, wild child's child's mind, just like running
- 47:54Speaker 1: around running around ass naked, that that young. But I like, yeah,
- 47:58Speaker 1: I think I'm a little bit unburdened, I think by
- 48:00Speaker 1: getting it off my chest, but.
- 48:01Speaker 7: Just absolutely.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You sharing that with subjecting fucking Neighborhood to like a
- 48:09Speaker 1: naked child, to child pornography, basically just so I could
- 48:12Speaker 1: satisfy my my little impulse for.
- 48:14Speaker 5: The last episode of Neighbors the finale. I want to
- 48:17Speaker 5: spoil it too much, but a lot of it takes
- 48:18Speaker 5: place in the nudist community.
- 48:20Speaker 9: So there's a lot.
- 48:22Speaker 5: Of nudity, and that the reason, you know, we know
- 48:24Speaker 5: that it feels good to sun your genitals is because
- 48:26Speaker 5: we did it.
- 48:27Speaker 7: We didn't know you did you know you did it.
- 48:31Speaker 9: Nude?
- 48:31Speaker 8: A lot of the Yeah, whoa, that's crazy.
- 48:35Speaker 9: I was like totally new to the boom pole.
- 48:37Speaker 7: Just that's the most bouldering with my out. What job
- 48:41Speaker 7: could you have that's more vulnerable than it's true?
- 48:44Speaker 5: I was. I was lucky because I had I hold
- 48:46Speaker 5: a camera and we have like a you know, yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 5: like a Cinni saddle, so I like sort of can
- 48:50Speaker 5: cover my balls and I was just like spread eagle.
- 48:55Speaker 9: For like hours staring at our subject just with my
- 48:59Speaker 9: dick and recorded.
- 49:00Speaker 5: Then so they're naked too, so it's you know, it's better.
- 49:04Speaker 9: You know, it's a good.
- 49:06Speaker 8: Are you guys allowed to say how many episodes? The
- 49:07Speaker 8: first season is six? Six? Yeah?
- 49:10Speaker 9: Two more colonies.
- 49:12Speaker 1: There are there like wayward boners that like just like
- 49:15Speaker 1: you know, pop up, you know, or is that is
- 49:17Speaker 1: that something that you guys clocked at all or do
- 49:20Speaker 1: you just avert your eyes and just keep it on
- 49:21Speaker 1: the subject.
- 49:22Speaker 9: For the most part, mostly try to do that. It's
- 49:26Speaker 9: like the icon. I've never experienced such incredible eye contact
- 49:31Speaker 9: so locked in you're like, go down for the second
- 49:36Speaker 9: just you're so locked so.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Truly just a fit. You're really looking at people's faces.
- 49:41Speaker 9: Yeah, totally. You know, sometimes that happens. And there's protocol
- 49:45Speaker 9: in the communities where you basically, uh, you're supposed to
- 49:48Speaker 9: carry around a towel with you everywhere you go because
- 49:51Speaker 9: you can't just sit on the surface.
- 49:52Speaker 5: Yeah exactly.
- 49:53Speaker 9: Yeah, it's called a butt rug, and so you carry
- 49:56Speaker 9: around your butt rug and so if in fact you
- 49:58Speaker 9: get a erection, cover the direction with the butt rug.
- 50:01Speaker 6: Is the same thing apply to women with say like engorged.
- 50:10Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, even Steven right is if a lot of
- 50:17Speaker 5: guys didn't, I feel like they're really like a lot
- 50:20Speaker 5: of these newest communities are like you know, unless it's
- 50:22Speaker 5: a community of swingers, which there are a lot of
- 50:26Speaker 5: these communities. We were filming in are like very nudism
- 50:28Speaker 5: is so unsexual to them, so like yeah, I mean
- 50:31Speaker 5: I don't even know if we saw one boner. Honestly
- 50:33Speaker 5: I wanted to, of course.
- 50:35Speaker 7: You know, you know Safari and not seeing the lion.
- 50:41Speaker 8: It is definitely a little bit more interesting if it's
- 50:44Speaker 8: just a bunch of non aroused nudi.
- 50:47Speaker 9: Oh yeah, yeah, and that's what it is. I mean,
- 50:49Speaker 9: they're like there's basically two schools. It's like the lifestyle,
- 50:53Speaker 9: which are the people that are nude to for like
- 50:55Speaker 9: polyamory and they just want to have sex all the
- 50:57Speaker 9: time and that thing. And then there's like the names
- 51:00Speaker 9: or the naturalists who are like almost religious about it
- 51:04Speaker 9: and they do not want anything sexual to be happening
- 51:08Speaker 9: within like their Newdest world. And you can go home
- 51:10Speaker 9: or whatever and have sex if you want, but being
- 51:12Speaker 9: nude is not sexual. That's like a really important thing
- 51:15Speaker 9: out of the Newdest that we filmed with.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I always used to want to do some kind of
- 51:19Speaker 1: like small documentary on people who have gymnophobia, which is
- 51:23Speaker 1: never nuts people who are like wow, yeah, you honestly
- 51:28Speaker 1: probably do have like a little bit of gymophobia.
- 51:31Speaker 8: Oh no, I'm just like, yeah, I mean.
- 51:35Speaker 7: Any showers of pants on.
- 51:37Speaker 8: No, I don't. I don't do that.
- 51:38Speaker 5: No, you said you're, yeah, you're, you're your peanuts hasn't
- 51:40Speaker 5: seen sunlight?
- 51:41Speaker 8: No, never, probably never will.
- 51:44Speaker 5: It's okay, No, it's okay. That is interesting though, Like
- 51:48Speaker 5: how much people don't like to be naked. I mean
- 51:52Speaker 5: a lot of these people we met like they just
- 51:55Speaker 5: hate also the feeling of clothes on their skin. It's
- 51:57Speaker 5: as simple as that. But I guess for the other
- 51:59Speaker 5: people it's just like, like, you know.
- 52:01Speaker 7: Is it intense shame?
- 52:02Speaker 1: I wonder if there's like a religious thing to it
- 52:05Speaker 1: or what could be the the impetus for for severe gymnophobia.
- 52:10Speaker 5: Well, maybe a religious thing.
- 52:12Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know. I mean I feel like I
- 52:16Speaker 8: get never nude more than I get nudiced because like
- 52:20Speaker 8: never nude, Like most of us are pretty much never
- 52:24Speaker 8: nude unless from when like you're it's not like are
- 52:27Speaker 8: you do you guys go home and just immediately just naked?
- 52:33Speaker 5: Sometimes sometimes I do. Sometimes I think, Look, I think, Harry,
- 52:36Speaker 5: it's a spectrum you'd consider yourself as I'm a nudist.
- 52:40Speaker 5: I'm actually could be become a nudist, Like two degrees from.
- 52:44Speaker 8: Really so you actually you get home and you're like,
- 52:47Speaker 8: I got to get naked now?
- 52:51Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, Dylan not a newist.
- 52:55Speaker 6: No, I'll go, I'll go shirtless in my home, right.
- 53:01Speaker 6: I find it's much cooler for me not to wear it.
- 53:03Speaker 8: See, I'm like the shirts the last thing that leaves
- 53:05Speaker 8: the body for me. Really, I would go, I'd walk
- 53:08Speaker 8: down seventh have with my cock out before I walk
- 53:11Speaker 8: down with my shirt off.
- 53:13Speaker 7: It's so interesting.
- 53:16Speaker 5: You do that.
- 53:18Speaker 8: No, I don't.
- 53:18Speaker 5: I don't do that, right, I might do it right? Yeah?
- 53:22Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 53:23Speaker 1: Ship is the towel is it for? Is it for
- 53:27Speaker 1: like skid marks or for butt sweat or oh yeah?
- 53:30Speaker 9: And if you can't do not use a white towel
- 53:33Speaker 9: because whether you like, you can clean yourself down there
- 53:37Speaker 9: as much as possible, but throughout the day it will
- 53:39Speaker 9: become a skid mark, just like it looks like a
- 53:41Speaker 9: car crash happened.
- 53:42Speaker 1: It's unfortunately that happened to that. Is that a personal
- 53:45Speaker 1: experience type of thing or.
- 53:46Speaker 9: We've seen it.
- 53:47Speaker 5: We haven't seen it.
- 53:48Speaker 9: We've seen it on the on the butt rugs.
- 53:50Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, but it never happened to us, you know
- 53:53Speaker 5: ourselves properly.
- 53:56Speaker 8: So what do you gotta go with like a black a.
- 53:58Speaker 9: Black black or ray.
- 54:01Speaker 5: It's funny you're you know, when you were younger.
- 54:06Speaker 9: I never thought about that.
- 54:08Speaker 5: It seems like a sort of poop brown.
- 54:12Speaker 6: Dark, sickly green brown.
- 54:15Speaker 7: Oh okay, I don't know.
- 54:19Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 54:20Speaker 6: It depends on what day it is, that's you, guys,
- 54:23Speaker 6: depends on if I'm coming from jiu jitsu.
- 54:29Speaker 7: Yeah, that's fucking well.
- 54:30Speaker 1: They must have learned it, and uh, there must have
- 54:32Speaker 1: been a nasty learning curve for that.
- 54:34Speaker 7: Or maybe it's quick. Maybe it's just like one skid Mark.
- 54:37Speaker 8: Yeah, it could have been first day. Right, this is unacceptable.
- 54:40Speaker 5: Yeah, sort of vibe kill immediately, Mark.
- 54:44Speaker 8: He stretched the legs, go for a walk. Oh, we
- 54:48Speaker 8: all ship ourselves.
- 54:53Speaker 6: You guys were in the community for two weeks filming.
- 54:56Speaker 9: More than that.
- 54:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we did. Like my girlfriend, who is the she's
- 55:02Speaker 5: the casting director on the show. Her name is Harley Shaw.
- 55:04Speaker 5: She and I went down there. We did a scouting
- 55:09Speaker 5: trip for probably two weeks or so, and we were
- 55:14Speaker 5: trying to film another story. So I think collectively in
- 55:19Speaker 5: the newdest communities we probably spent like probably a month
- 55:23Speaker 5: and a half. Yeah, two months, maybe like collectively, like
- 55:27Speaker 5: and that means like going and not filming. Because we
- 55:29Speaker 5: didn't film. We had to do these trips where we
- 55:31Speaker 5: just like obviously like met people and hung out and
- 55:33Speaker 5: were naked with them and gained their trust for like
- 55:36Speaker 5: a while.
- 55:37Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 55:37Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you.
- 55:38Speaker 7: Just have to be naked among them to show that
- 55:40Speaker 7: you were harmless.
- 55:41Speaker 5: You have to. I mean it's sort of like to
- 55:44Speaker 5: show you're not praying on their community right, to show
- 55:46Speaker 5: that yet we're harmless.
- 55:47Speaker 9: You're not horny, you don't.
- 55:50Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it's probably okay, No, seriously, Yeah, you
- 55:55Speaker 8: probably can't roll in just cameras film in.
- 55:58Speaker 7: Day one pants.
- 55:59Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, but you know what you're describing the shirt
- 56:05Speaker 5: no pants, we call it pooh bearing. You have to
- 56:08Speaker 5: bear that ship.
- 56:09Speaker 7: Is that okay? Is that okay to do?
- 56:11Speaker 5: That's actually okay?
- 56:13Speaker 9: Yeah, we kind of worked our way up to that
- 56:16Speaker 9: who shirt. I felt like at a certain point we
- 56:20Speaker 9: earned shirts. Yeah, we earned sure.
- 56:22Speaker 6: But you have to have your cock out no matter what.
- 56:26Speaker 5: It's kind of like there are parts like there there's
- 56:29Speaker 5: kind of uh, there's a bunch of different communities in
- 56:32Speaker 5: this place called Pasco County, Florida. It's the newdest capital
- 56:35Speaker 5: of the world, and each community has its kind of
- 56:39Speaker 5: different flavor. Some of the rules in some of the
- 56:41Speaker 5: communities are just stricter than others, and so they have
- 56:43Speaker 5: places in the communities where it's like you just have.
- 56:46Speaker 9: To be naked.
- 56:47Speaker 5: You know, it's like near the pool or by the jacuzi,
- 56:49Speaker 5: you're like any kind of thing like that. It's like
- 56:51Speaker 5: you have to be naked. And then you know, it's
- 56:53Speaker 5: just kind of a vibe thing too, of like show.
- 56:56Speaker 7: You're not wearing a wire. Huh, just to show you're
- 56:58Speaker 7: not wearing a wire, right right.
- 56:59Speaker 9: The Yeah, that was a nightmare for me. Mic everyone naked,
- 57:04Speaker 9: it was like.
- 57:05Speaker 7: What did you do? Boom? Exclusive, Yeah, it would boom.
- 57:08Speaker 9: But a lot of our stuff we like like doing
- 57:11Speaker 9: sort of verite style, so we put people far away
- 57:13Speaker 9: in film, so and you know, we try to like
- 57:16Speaker 9: not always be right in everything. So I would have
- 57:20Speaker 9: to basically take like bandage tape and like you know,
- 57:24Speaker 9: depending on what the angle was, I would like do
- 57:26Speaker 9: it under their armpit or like you know, in between
- 57:29Speaker 9: their thighs and then run the wire up over behind
- 57:32Speaker 9: their ear and then like into their hair and then
- 57:34Speaker 9: into the hair like down by their forehead.
- 57:37Speaker 1: You were putting it around their thought as their ass naked,
- 57:40Speaker 1: just kneeling cock next to you.
- 57:41Speaker 5: Yes, I have a photo of Dylan micing up someone
- 57:47Speaker 5: one of our subjects, just totally.
- 57:49Speaker 9: You know, just the sacks just like right on my head.
- 57:52Speaker 5: Yeah, he's just getting tea bagged.
- 57:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I went to a bar in uh in Key West
- 58:00Speaker 1: called the Garden of Eden, and it's like, for the
- 58:02Speaker 1: first three stories it's a normal bar, and then on
- 58:05Speaker 1: a fourth story it becomes like a newdist party after night,
- 58:08Speaker 1: no phones and stuff like that.
- 58:09Speaker 5: That's really cool.
- 58:10Speaker 7: It is nice and ben.
- 58:11Speaker 1: It is like a much older crowd, newdest colony, like older,
- 58:15Speaker 1: skewed older.
- 58:16Speaker 12: Okay, I have a lot going on, so I need

- 59:01Speaker 5: Yeah, there's mostly older and then there are like, you know,
- 59:05Speaker 5: there's some young some young people that trickle in, but
- 59:08Speaker 5: it's mostly older.
- 59:09Speaker 6: Are there any attractive people?
- 59:12Speaker 5: Definitely? Really there's a couple of Yeah, I wonder hmm.
- 59:19Speaker 7: Probably to be attractive, you slip your shoes off.
- 59:22Speaker 6: They were hurting.
- 59:27Speaker 5: Going in that it could be a shoes off.
- 59:30Speaker 6: Over dressed.
- 59:32Speaker 5: I actually like your your whole outfits. Right, that's very kind.
- 59:36Speaker 6: That makes two of you. But we'll go shopping.
- 59:43Speaker 5: I feel like you guys actually have similar style.
- 59:48Speaker 6: You ever heard of Japan? They got the goods.
- 59:53Speaker 9: The goods are Japan. We were we want to go.
- 59:57Speaker 8: Would you guys ever do like a like international name?
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Dude? It would be so absolutely that I like the
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: idea that like a whole season is just subtitled. Yeah,
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: there's just it's like subtitled. But it's it's cool to
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: think about truly, Like not to get too deep, but
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: like like how do other countries deal with conflicts?
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: That would be amazing in China because I mean they
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: sound like they're arguing regular to get them like in
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: angry dispute.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's like the United States is pretty spread
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: out all things considered, so a lot of countries, European
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: countries way more on top of one another.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: And like that's why.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I'm always shocked, Like you've had the last episodes in Texas,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and like my thought is like Texas, it's your property,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: live and let live.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: You just do whatever you want.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: But people really have like opinions about other people's stuff,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: where it should be like the you know, Land of
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: the Free type of deal, but like seeing other people
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: in different environments on closer quarters would be fascinating.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: Yeah, you learned from the first episode that there's almost
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: no amount of land that exist where you wouldn't still
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: be bothered by a neighbor because they were riding horses
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: to see each other. It's as fucking rural as it
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: could get.
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: They were a mile away from each other.
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: That's crazy mile that one.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: God is so excited just like the they are truly
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: like out in the middle of nowhere like they are they.
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: Both moved there to be we have no neighbors.
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: Yeah, that must have been brewing for so long, like
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: to get like in a beef that's a mile away,
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: Like they must have been like just like looking looking
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: down each other from.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: The horizon, seeing if there's like a figureoculars out.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm taking my horse over there.
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: That is kind of the vibe. They're like, yep, see
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: over there, that's his house and it's like a spec
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: like right right.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: But then how they both were like they had the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: exact same interests.
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: Yeah, what was it?
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: Like we probably would have played a bunch by now. Yeah,
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: they were like that was really sweet that they finally
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: admitted to something.
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: Wasn't one of them like complimenting either, Like he's actually
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: very talented in Dungeons Dragon.
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: Yeah he is a dungeon master.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: Yeah I heard.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: He's a dungeon master. If it was cool, we would
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: have played Unfortunately not he has a gate. Yeah, we
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: really wanted them to play Dungeons and Dragon.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: So bad. You shot some of these a while ago.
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: Have you kept up is a corollary to my earlier question,
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: but have you kept up with any of these people
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: and have any of them resolved anything? Again, don't answer
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: for sure if it gives it away.
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: I think some have have, just like the fire has dimmed.
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: I say, I don't know if it's like resolved, Like
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: I don't know if they like love each other, But
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: I think that the like the fieriness of the of
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: the dispute, because I also think and sometimes and I
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: think our show sort of does something where like both
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: sides you get to kind of exercise their their anger
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: at the same time, and I do think it kind
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: of takes the temperature down.
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: Yeah, of the day, at least for a bit, at
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: least for a little while.
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: Yeaheah.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: The was there you highlighted in the one with the
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: two women in the little strip of grass. Yeah, and
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: then uh you know, also the Vietnam vet and the
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: guy I can't remember their names, I'm sorry, but that
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: everyone was like had guns and that there were life threats.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: Was there ever a moment where you thought, boy, we're
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: close to a murder here, like or were in danger
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: or anything like that.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: I don't think like we ever. I think the only
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: the time where Victoria shows us her gun and she
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: just like doesn't know and like it might be loaded.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: I think it was like the closest we actually felt
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: like us being in harm because like that's like the
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: scariest thing is that the gun to accidentally go off
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: kill one of us. Like when that was happening, I
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: just imagine the headline like of just like like film
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: crew and one of the film crew died because a
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: gun went off, you know, but she.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: Just like pulls it out of a draw like it's
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: not in like a safe yea.
- 1:04:14Speaker 9: A sweater in her close Yeah, yeah, that was this scary.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: I mean I think you know when uh, I think
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: when when Johnny like threatened us in that moment, like
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: I think we were like freaked out, and but in
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: terms of like them actually hurting each other, I think
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: we were never honestly like this is going to get
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: to that point. You know, it felt dangerous because like
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: when the Tories like throwing the bushes, were like, wow,
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: it's a real physical thing she's doing. But we were
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: never like they're actually going to go over and like
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: shoot each other. You know, it's sort of a threat.
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: I guess they also know they're being filmed, so that
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: would be pretty bold, right, pretty bold move. Yeah, I'm
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: going to kill the neighbor. The world has totally yeah, like,
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: well we got you miked up. There's cameras everywhere.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Right, But I kind of would as a like if
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I was making a film about that, I'd be like
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: salvating a little bit, like a little bloodlust.
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: Right right, right, not blood, but maybe like a warning shot.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Yeah, or like Grays like grays, yeah right, you just
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: fire it once. Yeah, have them obviously if you want it. No.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: I mean we have to constantly check ourselves when we're
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: making this show and remind ourselves that we are filming
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: with real people. I think it's really easy when you're
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: making documentary to be like, this is the story we're telling,
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: this is where we want the story to go. And
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: I think every day we're constantly checking ourselves like what
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: are these people actually doing? What are we following? You know,
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: like yeah, yeah, it's a constant negotiation.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Is there like are there plans for what you guys
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: are going to do next? I'm sure that this has
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: opened up a lot of opportunities. I'm sure a lot
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: of people love it as much as we all do.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: Well, hopefully, hopefully we can do it again. Yeah, do
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: it again, run it back to get a pod, a
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: couple more pods.
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: Yeah, well you could, Yeah, you could do what every
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: other sitcom actor has done and just go to start
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: a podcast talking about the episodes. I don't think it
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: would last for it.
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: Yeah, No, hopefully we'll do, you know, another season and
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: hopefully this show. I mean, we want this show to
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: last as long as it can last, you know, and
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: like we always it, uh you know, imagined it as
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: the next Cops. I was.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: I was literally just gonna say, like I can see
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: it being like a Cops. Yeah, just is always.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: On exactly just keep running it, you know.
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: So it's like every episode it's like I have an
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: idea of what's going to happen, but it's going to
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: be great regardless.
- 1:06:44Speaker 9: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I think it gets us excited to
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: think about like taking on you know, reality TV as
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: something that's kind of become sort of a little soft
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: and kind of like kind of cooked a little bit,
- 1:06:56Speaker 9: like it just feels a little like over baked, and
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: I think bring realness back to reality TV again and
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: like making it bring the doc approach to that kind
- 1:07:04Speaker 9: of thing I think is exciting for us. And there's
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: so many different types of like sub genres routed television
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: that we think we could you know, have fun doing. Yeah,
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: like bring that kind of like rawness to you know.
- 1:07:17Speaker 9: Fuck yes, Well, dude, thank you guys so much for
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: coming on. This is so fun.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: You could just tell because we're gushing, but we're just
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: all such big fans of it and like, uh, I
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: want to see as much of it as you guys
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: are ever allowed to make.
- 1:07:31Speaker 9: You guys.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Can just keep doing this for another four hours, right, a.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Little fake job like you guys are in an editing bay,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: fucking eating ship.
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: Yeah, doing absolute bullshit.
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: You guys are making change in.
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: Here, for changing the world.
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: So that you guys are capturing other people. But we're
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: people to be can't living what you're filming? I guess.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: Cool?
- 1:08:06Speaker 9: Thank you, Thank you guys.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: Check out Neighbors on HBO.
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: Yeah, please please please check it out. Please please watch
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: the showm
