- 0:00- We bring in the one and only Seth
- 0:02- Grossman who has,
- 0:04- plenty to talk about here on the show.
- 0:06- Seth, good morning. Welcome.
- 0:08- Good morning. And I just wanna start by
- 0:10- saying that,
- 0:12- Liberty and Prosperity meets for breakfast every Saturday
- 0:15- morning from 09:30 to 10:30
- 0:17- at Sal's Coal Fired Pizza in Somers Point.
- 0:19- But today is going to be a little
- 0:21- different. Instead of the regular breakfast where you
- 0:24- talk about
- 0:25- current events and order your breakfast off the
- 0:28- menu, we're having a special scholarship program,
- 0:31- a pancake breakfast, dollars 35,
- 0:34- you know, for the breakfast where most of
- 0:36- the money goes for the scholarship fund,
- 0:39- where every year we give scholarships of a
- 0:42- thousand dollars
- 0:44- to two or three students who show an
- 0:46- interest in Liberty and Prosperity.
- 0:48- And, today you'll get to meet the winning
- 0:50- students and they'll tell you what, brought them
- 0:52- into the,
- 0:54- competition.
- 0:55- It's gonna be a very different but interesting
- 0:57- program.
- 0:58- I hope you'll support us.
- 1:01- The second thing is, of course, I'm selling
- 1:03- the book,
- 1:05- sixteen seventy six project. By the way,
- 1:08- to learn more, everything is posted on libertyandprosperity.com.
- 1:12- But it's amazing how,
- 1:15- how many interesting facts, people tell me about
- 1:18- about when they read the
- 1:20- that book, sixteen seventy six project.
- 1:23- For example, last Sunday in Ocean City, the,
- 1:27- South Jersey Chorale had a concert
- 1:30- at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Ocean
- 1:32- City.
- 1:34- And a couple people mentioned that they've been
- 1:36- going to that church
- 1:38- for years and they have these stained glass
- 1:40- windows with these personalities
- 1:43- like,
- 1:44- on the windows like King Charles and Thomas
- 1:46- Cranmer.
- 1:47- And people are telling me I never knew
- 1:49- who these people were on the stained glass
- 1:52- window of of a church I go to,
- 1:54- several times a year until I read your
- 1:57- book. Because that book explains how the personalities
- 2:00- on those stained glass windows
- 2:02- affected New Jersey.
- 2:04- Not to mention the fact that when you
- 2:06- go in Ocean City and you go down
- 2:07- Westley Avenue and Asbury
- 2:09- Avenue, many people have no idea,
- 2:12- you know, who those people were or why
- 2:14- Ocean City named its two main streets after
- 2:16- those people. So that's a good, reason to
- 2:19- get the book.
- 2:20- And now, you know, thanks to your program,
- 2:23- when I was talking about the book last
- 2:25- week,
- 2:26- the owner of a Somers Point store
- 2:28- called the rare book rare bird collect, collective,
- 2:32- said, well, can I buy your book on
- 2:34- consignment? And now you could buy the book
- 2:36- for 20 books for your $20
- 2:39- at the rare bird,
- 2:40- collective, Rowland Avenue and Shore Road in Somers
- 2:43- Point.
- 2:44- And at a store called Finds,
- 2:46- f I n d z, on Essex Avenue
- 2:49- in Margate next to the Down Beach Deli
- 2:51- for the same $20
- 2:52- You could always buy it for $25 on,
- 2:55- Amazon.
- 2:56- And of course, you could always buy it
- 2:58- for $20 at our Liberty and Prosperity breakfast.
- 3:01- Breakfast. So, there there's so much to learn
- 3:04- and as we keep pointing out,
- 3:06- a civilization
- 3:07- began with reading books.
- 3:09- You could not transmit enough information from one
- 3:12- generation to the other by swapping stories around
- 3:15- the campfire.
- 3:17- And people who get all their information from
- 3:19- watching TV,
- 3:20- it's just like swapping stories around the campfire.
- 3:23- You have to read books, and this book
- 3:25- is a good place to begin.
- 3:28- Well, you know,
- 3:29- it goes without saying, and eventually, we're gonna
- 3:31- get you on here to talk about the
- 3:33- book.
- 3:34- You you get your own segment.
- 3:37- Okay.
- 3:37- Me meanwhile, something else, a typical little known
- 3:40- thing. I don't know if you got one
- 3:42- of these,
- 3:43- but I did,
- 3:45- a couple of days ago.
- 3:46- A slick
- 3:47- brochure, almost like a political,
- 3:50- handout. You know, those slick, you know, two
- 3:52- sided sheets that do a head job? Yes.
- 3:55- And and I got
- 3:57- got one, that said, on one side, your
- 4:00- electric bill has never been higher.
- 4:02- Electricity prices are surging in The US.
- 4:05- And then it tells you at the bottom,
- 4:07- tell PJM
- 4:08- and NJ
- 4:09- utilities to take steps now to bring down
- 4:12- your electric bill. And then you turn it
- 4:14- over, and it says more clean energy means
- 4:17- lower electric bills.
- 4:19- And you may wonder what that's about.
- 4:21- I'm sure if I got it, I'm sure
- 4:23- thousands of people listening,
- 4:25- right now got that same slick brochure.
- 4:28- But I'm sure a few people took the
- 4:30- time to see who was sending it. It's
- 4:32- paid for by the Utility Action Alliance,
- 4:36- and that's a left wing sourced fund George
- 4:39- Soros funded,
- 4:41- Woke
- 4:42- political action committee in Seattle, Washington.
- 4:46- They mail it out of Scranton, Pennsylvania. So
- 4:48- people have no idea
- 4:50- that the slick,
- 4:52- flyer that they're getting now, and I'm sure
- 4:54- you'll be getting one every couple weeks until
- 4:57- election day.
- 4:58- Yeah. You don't know who's coming out with
- 5:00- it. So what they're doing is the,
- 5:04- woke left or the socialist communist, the democrats,
- 5:07- whatever you wanna call them,
- 5:09- they realize that the republicans
- 5:11- in New Jersey have lost the narrative,
- 5:15- on green energy and on climate change.
- 5:18- In other words, when Jack Ciattarelli
- 5:21- was running for governor, he had the perfect
- 5:24- opportunity
- 5:25- to expose the fraud of green energy.
- 5:28- All he had to do is say in
- 5:29- almost every commercial, every appearance, every
- 5:33- sense,
- 5:35- session that we have high electric bills in
- 5:38- New Jersey because governor Murphy shut down fixed,
- 5:41- oil and natural gas power plants, and he,
- 5:45- would not let
- 5:46- Beasley's point,
- 5:48- by,
- 5:49- mile post,
- 5:50- 28 on the Parkway to switch to natural
- 5:53- gas. He blocked natural gas, and that's why
- 5:56- we have high electric bills.
- 5:57- But because he didn't do that,
- 6:00- and and and besides losing the election, and
- 6:04- Ciattarelli also lost the narrative for every Republican.
- 6:07- So now the Democrats are are coming up
- 6:09- with a fake narrative. And they're saying that
- 6:11- your electric bills are too high because we
- 6:13- don't have enough wind turbines. We don't have
- 6:16- enough solar energy. We don't have enough
- 6:19- of the garbage that forced our electric rates
- 6:22- to go up in the first place. So
- 6:24- I think it's, it's important for every
- 6:26- person who gets one of those sick flyers
- 6:29- or slick flyers to realize
- 6:31- that this is a propaganda campaign
- 6:34- that is going to be used to try
- 6:36- to defeat,
- 6:37- you know, congressman Jeff Andrew in November
- 6:40- by saying that because
- 6:41- Jeff Van Drew opposed wind turbines,
- 6:44- that's why your electric bill is going up.
- 6:46- It's a totally fake narrative. It's a total
- 6:49- lie. But unless Republicans
- 6:51- start responding to those lies,
- 6:54- those lies will be accepted as the truth.
- 6:56- And I'm just giving an early warning right
- 6:58- now.
- 6:59- Well, I'll have you know that, coming up,
- 7:02- the last Saturday of this month,
- 7:05- Jeff Van Drew will be on our show,
- 7:06- and we certainly will address that with him
- 7:09- among other things.
- 7:10- So
- 7:11- and it's always a pleasure to have the
- 7:13- congressman Van Drew on the show. So
- 7:15- we're we're on that.
- 7:18- Very good. And I noticed that, you know,
- 7:20- Bob of Cape May is is a word
- 7:22- you say, you know, Zach Mullock, the Democrat
- 7:25- nominee,
- 7:26- is a very nice guy, a good businessman,
- 7:28- you know, runs a golf course in in
- 7:30- Cape May County, that he's gonna be a
- 7:32- a tough guy to beat. And, of course,
- 7:35- the Democrats always do it that way.
- 7:38- In fact, Jeff Van Drew was once in
- 7:41- that category.
- 7:42- In 2018,
- 7:43- he was a Democrat. And he was a
- 7:45- reasonable Democrat.
- 7:46- And he based his, his positions on the
- 7:49- facts.
- 7:50- And when he was running for,
- 7:52- election against me in 2018,
- 7:56- the Democrats heavily funded his campaign.
- 7:59- And, he was told
- 8:07- you just get elected and, we're not gonna
- 8:09- interfere with you.
- 8:11- And that's what they told him until the
- 8:13- day he got elected. And when Jeff Van
- 8:15- Drew won the election in 2018,
- 8:18- the first thing they told him was, well,
- 8:19- now you have to vote to impeach president
- 8:21- Trump.
- 8:22- Now whether you liked president Trump or didn't
- 8:25- like him in 2018
- 8:27- and 2019,
- 8:29- one thing we know for absolute certainty,
- 8:32- he did not commit any high crimes or
- 8:34- misdemeanors
- 8:36- that would justify an impeachment.
- 8:39- And so, Jeff Andrews said, well, you know,
- 8:41- thank you very much, Nancy Pelosi. But, you
- 8:43- know, I don't think there's evidence to impeach
- 8:45- president Trump. And there were 30 other moderate
- 8:49- Democrats in 2019
- 8:52- who felt the same way. And they said,
- 8:53- okay, Nancy Pelosi. We're not gonna go along
- 8:55- with that. We're not gonna vote to impeach
- 8:57- Trump.
- 8:58- Needless to say, when the pressure was put
- 9:01- on and all the dirty tricks,
- 9:03- every single so called moderate Democrat
- 9:06- voted to impeach president Trump even though there
- 9:09- was no evidence of high crimes or is
- 9:11- a misdemeanor.
- 9:12- And the only exception to those 30 moderate
- 9:15- democrats
- 9:16- was Jeff Andrew who switched to move to
- 9:18- from democrat to republican.
- 9:22- Malek, he could be a nice guy. He
- 9:24- could be moderate. He could run a business.
- 9:26- He could say whatever he wants to say
- 9:28- right now.
- 9:30- But the proof,
- 9:31- of what happened before is that
- 9:34- if he's elected, he's gonna vote exactly,
- 9:38- as,
- 9:39- Alexia,
- 9:40- like, you know, Cortez will vote. A where
- 9:43- Oh. Would vote because he will do exactly
- 9:47- what he's told to do. Democrats do not
- 9:49- tolerate any dissent
- 9:50- whatsoever.
- 9:51- And and we have to understand that when
- 9:53- we go to vote. Yeah. And and we
- 9:55- can't have that.
- 9:56- There's no way we can have that.
- 9:59- Okay. Meanwhile, something else going on. I don't
- 10:02- know if you follow this in Atlantic City,
- 10:04- but,
- 10:05- mayor Marty Small in Atlantic City
- 10:07- gave a classic demonstration
- 10:10- of, something that's called the theory of political
- 10:13- economy. Last week in fact, it's not last
- 10:16- week. Anyone who's listening,
- 10:18- if you know anyone
- 10:21- who is, live in Atlantic City,
- 10:23- who is,
- 10:24- completing high school this year,
- 10:27- they are eligible for a free $10,000
- 10:31- gift or a so called scholarship
- 10:34- because,
- 10:34- Atlantic City is giving out $5,810,000
- 10:38- dollar so called scholarships
- 10:40- that have nothing to do with grades, nothing
- 10:43- to do with academic
- 10:44- performance,
- 10:45- nothing to do with course of study, nothing
- 10:48- to do with financial need. If you live
- 10:51- in Atlantic City, if you're graduating high school,
- 10:53- if you're going to any college
- 10:55- or trade school, all you have to do
- 10:58- is write a two page essay,
- 11:00- on this topic. Quote, tell us about a
- 11:03- person, place, or experience in Atlantic City that
- 11:06- has shaped who you are,
- 11:08- has that influence affected the choices you make
- 11:11- and the person you hope to become?
- 11:13- So you could write anything. It's almost like
- 11:15- a lottery to win $10,000
- 11:17- and the deadline is this coming Monday.
- 11:20- So we have all the details posted on
- 11:22- the libertyandprosperity.com
- 11:24- website.
- 11:25- So why is this
- 11:27- a lesson in political economy?
- 11:30- Because,
- 11:31- by giving out 58, 10,000 scholarships,
- 11:35- that's $580,000.
- 11:38- This is the fourth year of the program.
- 11:41- During the past three years, Marty Small,
- 11:44- gave out,
- 11:45- a 100 scholarships a year, but that's a
- 11:48- million dollars a year.
- 11:50- Where's the money coming
- 11:52- from? From the coronavirus,
- 11:54- relief program. I I think they call it,
- 11:57- you know, something of America.
- 12:00- I I actually forget the name of the
- 12:02- brand, but it's, you know, it was a
- 12:04- trillion dollar,
- 12:05- Biden bill that was supposed to help us
- 12:08- recover from coronavirus.
- 12:10- But it's it these towns get the money.
- 12:12- They could do whatever they wanna do with
- 12:13- it. Now look at the genius of it.
- 12:16- Under political economy, the people who are getting
- 12:19- this money, the families,
- 12:21- will be loyal to Marty Small for life.
- 12:25- You know, you have now you now have
- 12:27- 358
- 12:29- families in Atlantic City that got a total
- 12:32- of three and a half million dollars
- 12:35- because of this program.
- 12:37- And who's going to oppose it? No one's
- 12:39- gonna oppose it because who's gonna make an
- 12:41- enemy,
- 12:43- over money that doesn't affect you? It's coming
- 12:45- from the federal government.
- 12:47- So, you know, there is a guy called,
- 12:50- Wilfredo Pareto
- 12:52- said this is called political economy.
- 12:54- And because people who get money from the
- 12:57- government
- 12:58- are greatly rewarded and highly politically active,
- 13:02- And because people who don't really lose anything
- 13:05- aren't going to care, he said democracies
- 13:08- become corrupt and collapse
- 13:10- in less than a hundred years. And the
- 13:12- only reason that America didn't collapse is that
- 13:15- for years and years, we had constitutions
- 13:18- that said the government couldn't just take money
- 13:20- from one people, one group of people, and
- 13:22- give it to somebody else. But now that
- 13:24- this is normal,
- 13:26- you know, this is, why things are so
- 13:28- corrupt and so expensive.
- 13:30- And for those who think it's only Democrats
- 13:32- like Marty Small doing it,
- 13:35- I was listening yesterday to
- 13:37- Republicans,
- 13:38- state senator, Vince Polestina.
- 13:41- He was talking about economic development.
- 13:43- What's economic development?
- 13:45- That's where you give a handful of selected
- 13:48- businesses
- 13:49- a whole bunch of money in tax credits
- 13:51- and low interest loans that everybody else pays
- 13:55- for. The people who get the benefit
- 13:57- are politically loyal.
- 13:59- The people who don't get the benefit, it's
- 14:01- just not worth fighting over.
- 14:03- Whenever you hear the words public private partnership,
- 14:07- whenever you hear of of words like pilot,
- 14:09- payment in lieu of taxes,
- 14:11- where some people get tax breaks paid for
- 14:13- by everybody else.
- 14:15- We see the free concerts, the free air
- 14:17- shows.
- 14:18- All this stuff is political economy,
- 14:20- and, it's destroying the country.
- 14:23- And and you're not gonna stop it because
- 14:25- when you see all this waste, fraud, and
- 14:26- abuse,
- 14:27- it all takes place
- 14:29- because,
- 14:30- the politicians are spending other people's money.
- 14:34- The only way to stop it is to
- 14:36- end all this stuff in the first place.
- 14:39- And that's what, Elon Musk tried to do,
- 14:42- but yet Republicans and Democrats forced them to
- 14:45- stop doing that. So it's something that we
- 14:47- have to pay attention to. And and that
- 14:50- leads us to the final point that, Senator
- 14:52- Palestine was talking about yesterday.
- 14:54- He was talking about how horrible it is
- 14:58- that senior citizens
- 15:00- may end up losing,
- 15:02- a bunch of their special,
- 15:04- tax breaks because the government of of,
- 15:07- New Jersey state government is broke. Of course,
- 15:10- part of the reason New Jersey, government is
- 15:12- broke is because we have $600,000.600000
- 15:16- illegal immigrants in the state who need all
- 15:18- sorts of money including legal fees. But here's
- 15:21- the bottom line.
- 15:22- Once you tell people
- 15:25- that, if you think your taxes are too
- 15:27- high,
- 15:28- don't worry about cutting the spending. Don't worry
- 15:31- about cutting the waste.
- 15:33- Just lobby your politicians
- 15:35- so you get a tax break and the
- 15:37- bill is paid for by somebody else.
- 15:40- That's the end of democracy,
- 15:42- in New Jersey.
- 15:45- And, you know, you heard, why are property
- 15:47- taxes so high? Well, because it costs $25,000
- 15:51- a year
- 15:52- to educate one student in the public schools.
- 15:55- You have a house with two kids in
- 15:57- that house, it's costing the town $50,000
- 16:01- a year just for that,
- 16:04- you know, from that one house. So, of
- 16:06- course, all the politicians are saying, well, let's
- 16:08- stop building new houses. Well, if you stop
- 16:10- building new houses, then young people can't afford
- 16:13- a house. They can't afford to get married.
- 16:14- They can't afford to have kids.
- 16:16- You're you're having one problem replaced by another.
- 16:20- The only way to fix the problem
- 16:22- is to say it's it's re absurd and
- 16:25- ridiculous
- 16:27- for us to have to spend $25,000
- 16:29- a year to educate one kid in a
- 16:32- classroom of 25 people. You know, you have
- 16:35- one classroom, 25 kids,
- 16:37- 25 times $25,000
- 16:40- you do the arithmetic.
- 16:42- But as long as long as nobody cares
- 16:44- whether spending is out of control because they
- 16:47- feel if they, you know, vote for the
- 16:49- right politician,
- 16:50- they're gonna get a break and the tax
- 16:52- will be paid by somebody else. We will
- 16:55- never address the problem.
- 16:56- And this is, maybe why liberty and prosperity
- 16:59- is not all that popular.
- 17:01- But if we don't deal with these real
- 17:02- problems, they will never get solved. Anyway,
- 17:06- we're not gonna talk about it today. The
- 17:09- breakfast for today is our scholarship breakfast, but
- 17:12- all these details are posted at libertyandprosperity.com.
- 17:16- Well, thank you very much, Seth, and we
- 17:18- appreciate your comments. Seth Grossman, Liberty and Prosperity.
- 17:21- Again, the website, libertyandprosperity.com.
