- 0:05Speaker 1: unknown hailing from Sin City, Las Vegas, Jamison Welch and
- 0:12Speaker 1: in this corner standing it five foot nine, Wayne Towns
- 0:18Speaker 1: with six wins.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Three losses, two arrests, four late payments on student loans.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And two total painkruptcies hits the class I'll go home in.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Oh Man.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So that was a hell of interview we had. I
- 0:36Speaker 3: learned a lot of things. Whatever it comes to boxing.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I think that there's there's so many unknown items that
- 0:43Speaker 3: you're gonna learn. When ever, these peaches people in the business,
- 0:45Speaker 3: so it was really fascinating. However, you know, I want
- 0:49Speaker 3: to let you break the news on what's in place.
- 0:52Speaker 4: What's up everybody.
- 0:53Speaker 5: It's the class the Alcoholic here with the next company podcast.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Usually I start these recordings really really excited, but today
- 0:59Speaker 5: I'll be honest, the little bummed out.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Need a drink to get me through this. Here.
- 1:02Speaker 5: We just had an amazing interview with a woman named
- 1:06Speaker 5: Emily Gordon who is a boxing promoter pr person. And
- 1:11Speaker 5: let's just say we had some technical difficulties and that
- 1:13Speaker 5: shit is lost to the wind.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It's completely gone.
- 1:16Speaker 5: So it was it was a lot of fun it
- 1:18Speaker 5: was our very first guest on this episode, so I
- 1:21Speaker 5: was super stoked, very for the first guest for our show. Sorry,
- 1:25Speaker 5: and yeah, you know sometimes, you know, here's the thing.
- 1:28Speaker 5: You got to remember something very important when you're doing anything,
- 1:31Speaker 5: whether you were at work, whether you're doing something like this,
- 1:33Speaker 5: it is the concept of shit happens.
- 1:36Speaker 4: So number the bummed.
- 1:38Speaker 5: That we lost this, but you know what, we still
- 1:40Speaker 5: got a show for you all that we can do.
- 1:41Speaker 5: And we're gonna talk a little bit about the interview.
- 1:43Speaker 5: So yeah, you know Emily Gordon, she like I said,
- 1:47Speaker 5: she she's in Phoenix.
- 1:49Speaker 4: She's a promoter.
- 1:50Speaker 5: She puts together an event called Brawl in the Brio.
- 1:53Speaker 5: So if you're listening to this when it comes out
- 1:56Speaker 5: this Saturday, March twenty ninth, we there's gonna be an
- 2:00Speaker 5: event in Phoenix showcase with several fighters. They had these
- 2:04Speaker 5: four times a year. I've been to a brow in
- 2:06Speaker 5: the body of before about year year.
- 2:08Speaker 4: And a half ago.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I had a lot of fun, got a ringside seat
- 2:12Speaker 5: and it was just awesome. It was awesome to see
- 2:15Speaker 5: these fighters live. And there's there's sort of smaller name folks.
- 2:17Speaker 5: You know, they're not big names there pros. But you
- 2:22Speaker 5: know that's put on by Del Soo Boxing Promotions, and
- 2:25Speaker 5: I would encourage y'all to look these events up. Follow
- 2:28Speaker 5: Emily Boxing on Instagram and Twitter, Emily Underscore Boxing on
- 2:34Speaker 5: TikTok because she's really cool and she was gracious enough
- 2:37Speaker 5: to give us an interview that you know.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Like I said, lust the win.
- 2:40Speaker 5: But we're hoping to have her back and just want
- 2:43Speaker 5: to chat a little bit about what's going on in
- 2:45Speaker 5: the boxing world, in the news, and maybe about what
- 2:47Speaker 5: we learned in the interview. So it's kind of like
- 2:50Speaker 5: talking to if you know what, It's kind of like
- 2:52Speaker 5: talking to somebody about what I did when I was
- 2:57Speaker 5: blackout drunk and they're telling me all the things that
- 2:59Speaker 5: I did that I don't remember. It's kind of the
- 3:01Speaker 5: same thing you guys blacked out during the interview, So
- 3:03Speaker 5: we're going to share a little bit about what happened. So, jameson,
- 3:07Speaker 5: what things do you take away from the interview from
- 3:09Speaker 5: the conversation with Emily that were really interesting to you
- 3:12Speaker 5: That when.
- 3:13Speaker 3: You promote boxing and you're in the boxing business, you
- 3:15Speaker 3: got to expect unexpected.
- 3:17Speaker 2: There's never gonna be a dull moment.
- 3:20Speaker 3: You got to always have your guard up, and that
- 3:23Speaker 3: you're dealing with so many people that come from all
- 3:25Speaker 3: different walks of life.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It's not a nine to five job.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It is also not a job that you can really
- 3:32Speaker 3: have like a indeed application for you kind of have
- 3:37Speaker 3: to get in the industry, learn the industry, and then
- 3:39Speaker 3: go from there. So it was very fascinating to hear
- 3:42Speaker 3: how she got her start and how she does her
- 3:46Speaker 3: business and the types of people she comes across.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah, what I really.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Like is learning behind the scenes stuff. So she was
- 3:54Speaker 5: able to tell us some cool stories about working with
- 3:56Speaker 5: fighters and how they prepare. You know, I've always wondered,
- 4:00Speaker 5: you know, what's the hardest thing about getting into a fight?
- 4:04Speaker 5: Preparing for a fight. You know, because I've done boxing lessons.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I've ben sparring, never been that good.
- 4:09Speaker 5: I was pretty fit, you know for a while there
- 4:12Speaker 5: very lean, doing a lot of weightlifting, and you know,
- 4:15Speaker 5: it's really hard to train for boxing. Even it was
- 4:17Speaker 5: just for fun, like I was doing it. You know,
- 4:19Speaker 5: I was not trying to be professional or anything like that.
- 4:21Speaker 5: But you got to have good cardio. You got to
- 4:24Speaker 5: be strong, you have to be flexible, you know, you
- 4:26Speaker 5: got to work out head to tell people think you're
- 4:28Speaker 5: a fighter. You know, you just got to be able
- 4:30Speaker 5: to punch really hard. You have to have good footwork,
- 4:32Speaker 5: your legs have to be in good shape, and very
- 4:35Speaker 5: importantly what Emily said, it was most importantly is diet.
- 4:38Speaker 5: You know, she said that balance between life and diet
- 4:41Speaker 5: and getting yourself ready.
- 4:42Speaker 4: It's really hard. And it's hard to be.
- 4:44Speaker 5: A fighter because you know, some people have to feed
- 4:48Speaker 5: their families. You know, they have kids. It's hard to
- 4:50Speaker 5: find childcare, all that stuff. It's hard to find time
- 4:52Speaker 5: to get to the gym. I was doing it like
- 4:56Speaker 5: when things started opening up after I don't want to
- 4:59Speaker 5: say after the because technically never ended, but you know,
- 5:02Speaker 5: when things were opening back up, there was a lot
- 5:05Speaker 5: of free time to just do shit like that. So
- 5:09Speaker 5: but yeah, you know, it was really insightful to hear
- 5:11Speaker 5: from somebody that works with actual fighters, professional fighters who
- 5:16Speaker 5: you have to get into a ring and they have
- 5:18Speaker 5: a record, you know, they this goes on their actual
- 5:21Speaker 5: record means barring and getting my ass kicked on a
- 5:23Speaker 5: Saturday and a gym. You know, nobody has to know
- 5:25Speaker 5: about that, in fact that I want to talk about it,
- 5:28Speaker 5: but it's it's really, it's real hard work for these
- 5:31Speaker 5: fighters to get in there, and that's why that's why
- 5:32Speaker 5: I love the sport.
- 5:33Speaker 4: That's why I admire fighters.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Another thing that I was surprised by. I asked her,
- 5:39Speaker 5: you know, did you ever see something And it's a
- 5:41Speaker 5: question for you, Jameson, have you ever seen anything in
- 5:44Speaker 5: a fighter when they're walking up to the ring that
- 5:45Speaker 5: makes you think a man doesn't have it, he is
- 5:47Speaker 5: going to lose this fight. He is not on point.
- 5:50Speaker 5: You know, whether it's like confidence or physique. Have you
- 5:53Speaker 5: ever seen a fight where you think this guy, for
- 5:56Speaker 5: whatever reason, just is going to lose.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Tonight when they got too many people around them, too
- 6:00Speaker 3: many non boxing people around. So I'm a big component
- 6:04Speaker 3: of whoever's in your camp is in your camp.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Don't be having these extra people who.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Don't mean nothing come during the ring walk with you,
- 6:12Speaker 3: who ain't a part of the boxing. Like when when
- 6:15Speaker 3: it comes to the business part, let the business people
- 6:19Speaker 3: be there with you, your cut me, your trainer, whomever's involved
- 6:22Speaker 3: on them on the boxing side, those are going to
- 6:25Speaker 3: be the only people involved. Only I'm not involved with
- 6:28Speaker 3: all the hanger ons and everything else. Because the infamous
- 6:31Speaker 3: Adrian Brownerclip when he fought Maydonna and came out with
- 6:35Speaker 3: eleven twelve people and he ended up walking back lumped
- 6:39Speaker 3: up with one person. That was the all. That's total lot,
- 6:43Speaker 3: and that happens a whole lot. And I'll put it
- 6:46Speaker 3: this way. A lot of boxers have financial problems because
- 6:50Speaker 3: of the people that they have in a corner. And
- 6:52Speaker 3: that's not even race or of anything specific. That's just
- 6:57Speaker 3: a thing in general. You gotta be smart with how
- 7:00Speaker 3: you handle the fight, prep the fight, day, the fight,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and everything has to be done right because if not,
- 7:08Speaker 3: if you lose focus, if you don't do something right,
- 7:11Speaker 3: it can cost because the end of the day, the
- 7:13Speaker 3: main things that happens in the ring, like all the
- 7:15Speaker 3: other bullshit, don't matter right all, like the Wilder shipping
- 7:18Speaker 3: he came in and he was being none of that.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Shit actually matters.
- 7:21Speaker 3: We get out the fight and at the end of
- 7:24Speaker 3: the day, if things are taking you off your focus
- 7:26Speaker 3: for a fight, that's when it's like, hey man, keep
- 7:30Speaker 3: the main thing, the main thing. I think a lot
- 7:32Speaker 3: of boxers get caught up with the extras too much
- 7:35Speaker 3: instead of the actual fight itself.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely. I mean, does a lot of really good insight.
- 7:43Speaker 5: And I was listening, but in my head, all I
- 7:44Speaker 5: was thinking was, don't bring Eminem on a ringwalk. But
- 7:46Speaker 5: Crawford seven sucks.
- 7:49Speaker 2: That's personal situation.
- 7:52Speaker 3: But you know, I mean it worked out for him
- 7:54Speaker 3: because you know that was I mean, but has been
- 7:57Speaker 3: I mean, but it's always been a really great fighter,
- 7:58Speaker 3: and you know that's never been in doubt. But I mean,
- 8:02Speaker 3: it worked out, And I was all she wrote for
- 8:04Speaker 3: one guy. You know, one guy has not been the same.
- 8:07Speaker 3: We haven't seen him in the ring since, so so yeah, sure, And.
- 8:11Speaker 5: I'm not trying to discuss anything you're saying. I just
- 8:13Speaker 5: couldn't help but get in some slip in some hate
- 8:15Speaker 5: for Eminem But yeah, no, I mean, you know, but
- 8:18Speaker 5: the Onto Watch thing, the Hollywood ontourage thing, has always
- 8:22Speaker 5: been a thing for a long time. You know, there's
- 8:24Speaker 5: a people tell stories about, oh, these celebrities, Adam Sandler
- 8:27Speaker 5: walks in with ten guys for whatever reason, he has
- 8:30Speaker 5: a whole posse. People on SNL have said that before,
- 8:33Speaker 5: and I'm like, why, Like, who the hell is who
- 8:35Speaker 5: the hell does the Sandman hanging around and boxers. I'm
- 8:39Speaker 5: a little bit more understanding because like, yeah, you have trainers,
- 8:41Speaker 5: you said, cutman, you got I don't know, guy who
- 8:43Speaker 5: holds the pads. Boxers have a really big team, even
- 8:46Speaker 5: though it's just one person in the ring at a time.
- 8:48Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't know, it's people get high on
- 8:51Speaker 5: their own supply. And uh yeah, but you say focus
- 8:55Speaker 5: on what happens in the ring and leave everything out.
- 8:57Speaker 5: That's just a whole like that's an ongoing story that
- 9:01Speaker 5: we can talk about over and over again for fighters
- 9:03Speaker 5: who just don't have the focus. So but yeah, no,
- 9:07Speaker 5: And like I said, it's really interesting talking to somebody
- 9:09Speaker 5: that actually works with fighters, tries to match up fighters.
- 9:13Speaker 5: We asked her what it's like to try to find
- 9:15Speaker 5: people to participate in events. She even said, like jokingly
- 9:18Speaker 5: but joking, but not joking, it's the worst job in
- 9:21Speaker 5: the world trying to find people to fight. It was
- 9:23Speaker 5: really interesting. She said, there's not a lot of guys
- 9:26Speaker 5: out there fighting since COVID.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Which is really interesting.
- 9:28Speaker 5: I mean, did they die, Therona, did they get fat
- 9:31Speaker 5: because they were staying at home?
- 9:33Speaker 4: I don't know that part.
- 9:34Speaker 3: But also getting people there on time and in a
- 9:37Speaker 3: safe manner. Right, So if you've got eight fights, that's
- 9:39Speaker 3: sixteen humans you got to count on to get there safely,
- 9:43Speaker 3: get there prepared, and remember, at the end of the day,
- 9:46Speaker 3: we're all people, so if as people, people make mistakes.
- 9:50Speaker 3: People don't all have it going the right way all
- 9:52Speaker 3: the time. So getting people on track is very underrated.
- 9:56Speaker 3: As boxing fans, we don't think about that shit. We
- 9:59Speaker 3: just think about all why the may car comes on
- 10:01Speaker 3: I six and there's three fights until the main event.
- 10:05Speaker 3: That's all we care about. The promoter's got a class
- 10:07Speaker 3: fighting at two pm because they they thrown a whole car,
- 10:11Speaker 3: and God deal with everybody's agencies and camps and the
- 10:15Speaker 3: whole nine and even one little misstep can become a
- 10:19Speaker 3: whole big thing.
- 10:19Speaker 2: So I totally understand which she's coming from.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Hey, you're talking to guys on a show that just
- 10:25Speaker 5: did an awesome interview and lost the recording, So you know,
- 10:28Speaker 5: shit even happens to us. You think like, oh, it's easy.
- 10:30Speaker 5: You just get two guys in front of a mic
- 10:32Speaker 5: with one idiot in a mask. He'll just about whatever
- 10:34Speaker 5: is off the top of his head. Easy, pasy, right,
- 10:36Speaker 5: you know, I guess I guess. The lesson here is
- 10:39Speaker 5: there's a lot going on behind the scenes that we
- 10:41Speaker 5: don't know about.
- 10:42Speaker 4: So yeah, it's.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Especially for a professional sport. And the thing I love
- 10:48Speaker 5: about boxing is what I've always said it, there's like
- 10:50Speaker 5: just two people in a ring.
- 10:52Speaker 4: That's it.
- 10:52Speaker 5: There's no teams. There's no like, you know, two different
- 10:55Speaker 5: teams they each and have their own players. Blah blah blah.
- 10:57Speaker 5: There's so many people involved. You got the football coach
- 11:01Speaker 5: is also the defense coach, et cetera, et cetera. I
- 11:03Speaker 5: like the simplicity of boxing, but at the end of
- 11:05Speaker 5: the day, behind the scenes, it's not simple at all.
- 11:08Speaker 5: You know, this is this isn't very different from all
- 11:10Speaker 5: those other sports. There's a lot of people to make
- 11:12Speaker 5: these fights happen, and you know, shout out to them,
- 11:14Speaker 5: Shout out to people like Emily, shout out to to
- 11:16Speaker 5: all those fighters who agree to get into into the
- 11:18Speaker 5: ring and uh, you know, put their assets on the line.
- 11:22Speaker 3: And there's no way HR in boxing, Like you can't
- 11:25Speaker 3: go to HR if you got a complaint, Like it's
- 11:27Speaker 3: kind of it's kind of like I don't want to
- 11:30Speaker 3: at the drug game because that's not fair.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But there's like no rules in a.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Sense, you know what I mean, Like there's no you
- 11:36Speaker 3: can't report someone to the Better Business Bureau like you know,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I mean, there's just nothing. There's no checks and balances.
- 11:41Speaker 3: So if you've got a problem, smind you just don't
- 11:43Speaker 3: work with that company in person.
- 11:44Speaker 2: No more.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Yeah, we could touch shit on on social media. You
- 11:47Speaker 5: can talk shit on interviews. People do that all the time.
- 11:49Speaker 5: You know, people say like, yeah, whatever gold the boys sucked.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I never you know, fuck Oscarillo, yeah, et cetera.
- 11:54Speaker 4: You know, they could do that.
- 11:56Speaker 2: But that's it though.
- 11:56Speaker 3: There's nothing really nothing else, So it's it's kind of
- 11:59Speaker 3: an interesting thing when you look back at it. But
- 12:01Speaker 3: also I think about like this, when you look at
- 12:04Speaker 3: the grand scheme of things. You Once you're in the industry,
- 12:08Speaker 3: you know and talk to everybody, so word gets around quickly,
- 12:11Speaker 3: whether you're good to do business with, bad to do
- 12:14Speaker 3: business with, et cetera, et cetera. When it comes to boxing,
- 12:17Speaker 3: you kind of need everyone on your side to make
- 12:20Speaker 3: things shake, because, like you mentioned, you got an eight
- 12:23Speaker 3: fight of it. Somebody pulls out a week before a
- 12:26Speaker 3: fight or two for a fight. You need to be
- 12:28Speaker 3: able to scare on, make a couple of calls and
- 12:30Speaker 3: get somebody in place. So like those are the things
- 12:33Speaker 3: that are very prominent. But no, it was very fascinating,
- 12:36Speaker 3: especially being a woman in boxing is not the easiest
- 12:39Speaker 3: thing in general, so it was very fascinating, like and
- 12:42Speaker 3: it doesn't he a good job with you know, also
- 12:46Speaker 3: being being human short humilities. She was very very easy
- 12:50Speaker 3: going and you didn't think she was a very important person.
- 12:54Speaker 3: By how she was answered the questions and how she
- 12:57Speaker 3: interacted was you felt that she was just direct one
- 13:00Speaker 3: person doing a regular job.
- 13:02Speaker 2: And that was it.
- 13:04Speaker 4: One hundred percent.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, apologies Emily for you know, us having
- 13:07Speaker 5: those technical difficulties, you know, except really hope that she
- 13:10Speaker 5: comes back and forgives us and you know, absolves us
- 13:14Speaker 5: of this of this crime that was committed by by technology.
- 13:18Speaker 5: But uh yeah, for those of you all you know,
- 13:20Speaker 5: uh in the in Arizona, in Phoenix especially look up
- 13:24Speaker 5: Brolin the Bodrio, Look up Dey'll Soul boxing on Instagram,
- 13:27Speaker 5: Look up Emily boxing on Instagram. You know it's you
- 13:29Speaker 5: don't think of Arizona as like a boxing center, you know. Uh,
- 13:33Speaker 5: of course everybody thinks Vegas, Jameson you are everybody thinks
- 13:36Speaker 5: in New York. Uh, Saudi Arabia, La definitely. But you know,
- 13:42Speaker 5: we have boxing events a lot of them haven't in Phoenix,
- 13:45Speaker 5: but we have some in Tucson as well, where I'm
- 13:46Speaker 5: at and uh, yeah, and I think what it does,
- 13:48Speaker 5: and I've said this before. I've mentioned there's a lot
- 13:50Speaker 5: of Mexicans in Arizona, and Mexicans love boxing, so I
- 13:53Speaker 5: think that, uh, it's a it's a prime area if
- 13:56Speaker 5: you're a fan looking to get in the sport, said,
- 13:59Speaker 5: look up, they'll sell promotions dot com. You know there's
- 14:02Speaker 5: uh you get tickets to live events that happened four
- 14:04Speaker 5: times a year.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I've been there before.
- 14:08Speaker 5: There's probably gonna be another one July fourth weekend. So
- 14:11Speaker 5: I'm already looking forward to that team if I can
- 14:12Speaker 5: make a weekend out of it. So if you're there
- 14:14Speaker 5: brawl in the Body in July, you know, look for me.
- 14:16Speaker 5: I'll probably be the only guy in a suit in
- 14:18Speaker 5: the pocket square.
- 14:19Speaker 4: But these these.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Events are a lot of fun. Live boxing is is great.
- 14:23Speaker 5: And and these events they're not like huge they're adding
- 14:25Speaker 5: giant arenas, you know, they're they're kind of small areas,
- 14:29Speaker 5: so there's no bat seat in the house. It's very
- 14:32Speaker 5: intimate and just it's a great time. So live boxing
- 14:35Speaker 5: is a lot of fun. So we you know, we
- 14:37Speaker 5: still got a show for you all today. So you know,
- 14:39Speaker 5: even though we lost this, we still got some stuff
- 14:41Speaker 5: that we want to talk about. There is some stuff
- 14:45Speaker 5: going on in the boxing world that I wanted to mention,
- 14:47Speaker 5: and I think James and you want to you want
- 14:49Speaker 5: to go through the.
- 14:50Speaker 4: News stories with me, we can.
- 14:52Speaker 2: We can.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Yeah, let's do that.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Uh. First thing up in the Boxing Gazette that I
- 14:57Speaker 5: picked up from the new stand Big George farm And
- 15:00Speaker 5: last week passed away at the age of seventy six.
- 15:04Speaker 5: You know, we we've actually talked about George Foreman on
- 15:08Speaker 5: this episode on the show, on episode five, specifically because
- 15:11Speaker 5: we were discussing his biopic, Big George Foreman.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yep.
- 15:14Speaker 5: You know Man was a legend. You know, he's a legend.
- 15:18Speaker 5: He was the oldest heavyweight champ in history. He reclaimed
- 15:20Speaker 5: the heavyweight title in nineteen ninety four at the age
- 15:22Speaker 5: of forty six. That's like rounds up to fifty. Basically
- 15:27Speaker 5: one of the most recognizable boxers, even to people who
- 15:30Speaker 5: never watched a single fight. Yeah, you know, I just
- 15:33Speaker 5: I just want to see if you had any thoughts
- 15:35Speaker 5: on the Champ that.
- 15:35Speaker 4: You know, we've been.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Talking about this guy for decades now. There's not really
- 15:39Speaker 5: much to say other than you know, rip and thanks
- 15:42Speaker 5: for the memories. But Jamison, no, no, what are your what
- 15:45Speaker 5: are your thoughts on losing Big George.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I'm glad he got his flowers while he was alive.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I'm glad we didn't wait till he passed and then
- 15:52Speaker 3: we started all.
- 15:53Speaker 5: You know.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Well, now he got his flowers while he was alive,
- 15:56Speaker 3: and his legacy's gonna live on for a lot of reasons.
- 15:59Speaker 2: So good.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It's always sucks when we lose somebody, but he lived
- 16:03Speaker 3: a very long life and the latter end was very good,
- 16:06Speaker 3: which is unlike likely for most boxers. So I was
- 16:09Speaker 3: good to see him go out basically on top of
- 16:11Speaker 3: a sense.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, you know, And he's a hometown hero.
- 16:17Speaker 2: He's from Houston.
- 16:18Speaker 5: I'm from Houston.
- 16:19Speaker 2: He was born in.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Marshall, Texas, but he grew up in Houston in the
- 16:21Speaker 5: Fifth Ward, so that's where I was from. So, you know,
- 16:24Speaker 5: it's it's interesting to see a fellow Texan out.
- 16:28Speaker 4: There in the news. You know, even when.
- 16:29Speaker 5: He retired from boxing for for the first time, when
- 16:33Speaker 5: he took him off to be a pastor.
- 16:34Speaker 4: He was preaching in Houston.
- 16:35Speaker 5: I never never made it, didn't make it the church
- 16:37Speaker 5: much when I was a kid. I don't know if
- 16:38Speaker 5: you could probably guess that, but but yeah, he was
- 16:42Speaker 5: out there for a long time, you know, preaching before
- 16:44Speaker 5: he decided to make some big comeback. And yeah, we
- 16:47Speaker 5: didn't love that movie that was made about him. It
- 16:49Speaker 5: had some good stuff. I think we probably rated like
- 16:51Speaker 5: two point eight three out of four gloves or something
- 16:54Speaker 5: like that. But it's an amazing story, you know, and
- 16:57Speaker 5: you know we could we couldn't have this show without
- 17:00Speaker 5: mentioning the loss of George Foreman. Also, here's the one
- 17:04Speaker 5: for you.
- 17:04Speaker 4: I think.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Now I'm feeling it the period because I'm thirty nine.
- 17:09Speaker 5: I'm feeling the period where I'm feeling washed because the
- 17:13Speaker 5: big name celebrities and there are people that I actually
- 17:15Speaker 5: knew about from when I was a kid. You know,
- 17:17Speaker 5: there's a period like, you know, I don't know, fifteen
- 17:19Speaker 5: years ago, You're like, oh, this actor died. He was
- 17:21Speaker 5: in some movies in the sixties. He was some granpy
- 17:24Speaker 5: that was in black and white stuff. I'm like, yeah, whatever, okay,
- 17:26Speaker 5: you know that's sad. But I don't give a shit whatever.
- 17:29Speaker 5: But now it's just like, oh, this guy, I know
- 17:31Speaker 5: this guy. Oh I grew up knowing who this guy was.
- 17:34Speaker 5: So this is gonna happen more and more to us.
- 17:37Speaker 5: As you know, obviously eight people can go at any time,
- 17:40Speaker 5: and people can have untimely deaths.
- 17:41Speaker 4: And you know, tell their when they're in their twenties
- 17:44Speaker 4: and thirties.
- 17:44Speaker 5: But but I think this is gonna be this is
- 17:47Speaker 5: the next phase of our lives.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Jameson.
- 17:49Speaker 5: We're born in the same year. I think we're gonna
- 17:51Speaker 5: see more and more people passing were like, oh, fuck
- 17:55Speaker 5: that guy, that lady Like I grew up listening to
- 17:57Speaker 5: that music. I grew up you know, watching that guy
- 18:00Speaker 5: on this TV. And it was it was a bit
- 18:03Speaker 5: a bit eye opening.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Yeah, nah, man, it is. When you get older, you
- 18:10Speaker 3: realize how fast time goes. You realize where you were
- 18:13Speaker 3: ten years ago, fifteen years ago, twenty years ago, and
- 18:17Speaker 3: you realize it doesn't feel as far away as it
- 18:21Speaker 3: did when you were younger. Right when you were younger,
- 18:22Speaker 3: it felt like time went slow. Now it feels like
- 18:26Speaker 3: time flies by, Like you know, we're both about to
- 18:29Speaker 3: be forty soon, and I'm if you had your twenty
- 18:32Speaker 3: year high school reunion yet. But it doesn't feel like
- 18:35Speaker 3: about high school for twenty years, just doesn't. So this
- 18:38Speaker 3: is one of those things. Man, It's very fascinating how
- 18:41Speaker 3: time goes. We are correct, we are losing people that
- 18:44Speaker 3: we actually knew of, we knew about the whole nine.
- 18:47Speaker 3: So it's one of those things, man, where you know,
- 18:51Speaker 3: you's got to hope you be you know, you know,
- 18:53Speaker 3: stay healthy as possible, live life the right way, and do.
- 18:56Speaker 2: What you can sure.
- 18:59Speaker 5: And I I never even heard about a high school
- 19:01Speaker 5: reunion happening, insaid, but I wouldn't have gone to that shit.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I'm not going to see those people from high schools.
- 19:07Speaker 5: But I was funny when I was in Houston. I
- 19:09Speaker 5: was hanging out with my little sister last month, and
- 19:11Speaker 5: she asked me, Hey, do you have any friends here.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I'm like, you mean the people from high school fucked out.
- 19:15Speaker 5: I'm not gonna talk to those people. So that's that
- 19:19Speaker 5: life is long gone. But I understand honestly. Anyway, Let's
- 19:24Speaker 5: see what else is going on in the news. Let's
- 19:25Speaker 5: let's keep flipping through the Boxing Gazette, because this Saturday,
- 19:30Speaker 5: March twenty ninth, We've got a rematch between Mikaela may
- 19:33Speaker 5: Or and Sandy Ryan. They're meeting up since their last
- 19:36Speaker 5: fight in September of twenty twenty four. This one's going
- 19:39Speaker 5: to be in Vegas, Jamison, Are you gonna be able
- 19:41Speaker 5: to attend this fighting person since you're in Vegas?
- 19:43Speaker 3: Unfortunately, I won't be able to go. I do have
- 19:45Speaker 3: a prior engagement. However, I'm very curious how this fight's
- 19:49Speaker 3: in Vegas. This feels like they've been trying to get
- 19:52Speaker 3: boxing out of Vegas. If you looked at the location
- 19:54Speaker 3: of all the big fights recently, whether they've gone overseas
- 19:57Speaker 3: or whether they're back East, it feels like Vegas the
- 20:00Speaker 3: forgotten step child. So it is good to see a
- 20:03Speaker 3: ESPN type fight staying in Vegas for once.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Sure, especially this one. You know this this was a
- 20:09Speaker 5: big deal. And I don't know if you saw the
- 20:11Speaker 5: their first fight in September. I did get to see it,
- 20:13Speaker 5: and so there was drama behind the scenes. I don't
- 20:16Speaker 5: know if you know the story about somebody just threw
- 20:18Speaker 5: like red pain at Sandy Ryan while she was coming
- 20:20Speaker 5: out of her hotel.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Did you hear anything about that?
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yep?
- 20:23Speaker 5: Yeah, So and then you know, they were sniping each
- 20:25Speaker 5: other back and forth, and it actually like nearly a
- 20:28Speaker 5: million people tuned in, which is like one of the biggest,
- 20:31Speaker 5: the biggest audience for women's boxing in like I don't know,
- 20:34Speaker 5: almost twenty years or something like that. So this seems
- 20:37Speaker 5: to have a lot of hype and it's cool to have. Yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 5: like you said, big fights still happening in Vegas, and
- 20:43Speaker 5: for this last the last fight was pretty close, Margins.
- 20:46Speaker 4: One one judge said it was a draw. MICHAELA.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Mayer won the the women's walterweight championship, and I don't know,
- 20:54Speaker 5: I thought it was really close. That was one of
- 20:56Speaker 5: those controversial events. Another thing we talked to Emily about
- 20:59Speaker 5: was I was always curious as to when there's a
- 21:02Speaker 5: really close fight and there the judges go one way.
- 21:08Speaker 5: They didn't a fighter as the winner, the one who
- 21:10Speaker 5: loses will always say the same thing. You know, I
- 21:11Speaker 5: won that fight, I got robbed, I won, And I
- 21:13Speaker 5: was curious, like behind the scenes, did they ever actually say, like,
- 21:16Speaker 5: you know, I got to say that I want, but
- 21:17Speaker 5: I know that I lost that shit. And she said, yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 5: some people actually they know they know that they didn't
- 21:23Speaker 5: quite stick it. Out and of course, you know, here's
- 21:25Speaker 5: the thing. Have we ever had a guy lose a
- 21:27Speaker 5: close fight and say.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I fucked up?
- 21:30Speaker 5: You know, it was I was bad tonight. You know
- 21:33Speaker 5: they usually have to say face and I understand, but
- 21:36Speaker 5: it's really interesting to hear that behind the scenes and
- 21:39Speaker 5: there's no cameras. They might say, yeah, no, we're uh
- 21:43Speaker 5: just didn't have it, and it happens, you know, right,
- 21:47Speaker 5: But yeah, shout out to good.
- 21:50Speaker 2: No, you're good, You're good.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I say shout out to these ladies, you know.
- 21:55Speaker 5: And the last fight was great, by the way. You know,
- 21:57Speaker 5: let's just say, yes, it was close, Margins, but it
- 21:58Speaker 5: was an excellent fight.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Uh.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Sandy Ryan came out with she got Mikayla Marray with
- 22:05Speaker 5: a ship a little left hooks she got she took
- 22:08Speaker 5: a lot of hooks and but she took him well,
- 22:10Speaker 5: you know, you could tell that they had an effect.
- 22:12Speaker 5: But you know, she she's got a chain on her
- 22:15Speaker 5: and uh, I don't know. At the end of the day,
- 22:18Speaker 5: I was happy with the results, you know, both these ladies. Uh,
- 22:22Speaker 5: let's see, how do I put this nicely? Sandy Ryan,
- 22:24Speaker 5: she's a British and so Mikayla Mary is American, So
- 22:27Speaker 5: for both white ladies, I think I'm I think I'm
- 22:29Speaker 5: team Mayor.
- 22:30Speaker 4: You know, sorry, sorry, Sandy, you know.
- 22:32Speaker 5: What, You're a great fighter, but uh, you know, Kayla
- 22:35Speaker 5: Mayor is right next door, so no offense. But hope
- 22:38Speaker 5: Mayor takes out the wind this Saturday as well, so
- 22:40Speaker 5: tune into that on ESPN.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Oh all right, what.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Else we got?
- 22:47Speaker 5: And then coming up April fifth, Saturday. This one's interesting
- 22:52Speaker 5: to talk about because Richard Torres Junior, a rising star
- 22:56Speaker 5: of the heavyweight division, is actually headlining for the first time.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Are you familiar with the Richard Torres Studior.
- 23:02Speaker 2: A little bit, A little bit.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I've seen him fight live.
- 23:05Speaker 5: I saw him on the card on during the Oscar
- 23:08Speaker 5: Valdez and fight, so he was there. So this guy
- 23:13Speaker 5: went to the Olympics. He's a talented fighter. Okay, Like,
- 23:16Speaker 5: let's put that out there right now. He's he's he's
- 23:18Speaker 5: got skills, he's very fit. Fans gotta say that he's
- 23:24Speaker 5: been propped up by a bunch of fights with tomato cans, you.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Know, is that?
- 23:29Speaker 5: How about this, let's say this, is that a thing
- 23:30Speaker 5: that happens where you know, some promoters try to make
- 23:33Speaker 5: a name. They kind of put him up against some
- 23:35Speaker 5: easy fights to try to kind of prop up a
- 23:37Speaker 5: rising star that maybe my nutter And is that a
- 23:40Speaker 5: thing that usually.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Happens, That is my question to you.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yes, because this guy just in general, Yeah, of course,
- 23:45Speaker 3: because this is a business and you're always looking to
- 23:49Speaker 3: get the next guy that's marketable.
- 23:51Speaker 2: So if you can set that guy up, that's what
- 23:53Speaker 2: you're going to do.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I mean, there's a lot of people who have money
- 23:56Speaker 3: involved and invested, and when that's the case, you're always
- 23:59Speaker 3: looking to catch lightning in a bottle. So you think
- 24:02Speaker 3: you have that, you're going to prepare life. Then you're
- 24:05Speaker 3: gonna do certain things to you know, put your boxer
- 24:10Speaker 3: in that direction if it's possible. Sometimes we get live
- 24:14Speaker 3: to Sometimes guys may have a good first ten fights
- 24:17Speaker 3: to get in there with somebody else and things change.
- 24:20Speaker 3: But a lot of times, hey, if it's done correctly,
- 24:23Speaker 3: you get a very marketable god that's fighting two times
- 24:25Speaker 3: a year, making a lot of money for everybody involved.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So I get it. But it's all business at the
- 24:30Speaker 2: end of the day.
- 24:32Speaker 5: Sure, and you know, I again, I'm not trying to
- 24:34Speaker 5: be a hater against Brichet Torres. You know, I wish
- 24:36Speaker 5: him the best, and Nick said he's got telling him.
- 24:37Speaker 5: But when I saw him fight, I forget the name
- 24:39Speaker 5: of the guy fight, but I forget the name of
- 24:41Speaker 5: the guy that he fought. But it was just that guy,
- 24:44Speaker 5: like it was just a big old guy.
- 24:45Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I was like, where are you putting these two dudes
- 24:49Speaker 5: together in this spring? So it wasn't It was very
- 24:52Speaker 5: one side. And I think the referee stopped in like
- 24:55Speaker 5: two or something like that.
- 24:57Speaker 4: So I don't know this.
- 24:59Speaker 5: On fifty he's gonna be fighting an Italian fighter named
- 25:01Speaker 5: Guido Vanello, and I don't know anything about Wiedo Vanello,
- 25:05Speaker 5: so I'll put that out there.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Right now, but I don't know.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Let's see if Richard Torres actually has the hype, actually
- 25:11Speaker 5: has the skills to become a big name star. And
- 25:15Speaker 5: you know something that we should say right now for
- 25:19Speaker 5: the listeners if you're listening to audio only, we're actually
- 25:21Speaker 5: on using a new streaming service.
- 25:24Speaker 4: We're recording videos.
- 25:25Speaker 5: So we're trying to figure out how to do promos
- 25:27Speaker 5: and how to put this up online. I'm still talking
- 25:29Speaker 5: about that, but look up, Richard Torres junior this tours
- 25:32Speaker 5: with his z Look up the picture of him with
- 25:34Speaker 5: the mustache.
- 25:35Speaker 4: My man looks like he starred in seventies Porner movies.
- 25:38Speaker 4: He really does.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I'm so sorry. Shout out to Richard Torres Junior. All right,
- 25:44Speaker 5: what else we got going on in the news.
- 25:47Speaker 4: So yeah, Another thing that I really.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Want to talk about that came up in the conversation
- 25:54Speaker 5: with Emily was, like I said, the difficulty in finding fighters.
- 26:00Speaker 5: And also, I never I've always been curious about how
- 26:03Speaker 5: somebody goes from just working out in the gym to
- 26:05Speaker 5: being like an event like this. Forget about ESPN, e HBO,
- 26:09Speaker 5: pay per view, any of thattually just like a live
- 26:11Speaker 5: event where you can, you know, be in a ring
- 26:16Speaker 5: in from an audience. And she's just telling us, you know,
- 26:18Speaker 5: you first you gotta get a trainer. Most importantly, you know,
- 26:22Speaker 5: you gotta find promoter. You gotta go into a commission.
- 26:26Speaker 5: You have to prove your skills in front of a commission,
- 26:29Speaker 5: he said, some people, actually you have to have like
- 26:31Speaker 5: twenty five amateur fights. Some places you just got to
- 26:35Speaker 5: demonstrate your skills. My question for you, she did say,
- 26:38Speaker 5: there's like a thirty five and overleak where some guys
- 26:42Speaker 5: have they have the bucket list league. Let's say you
- 26:44Speaker 5: had the opportunity to get into go to an event,
- 26:47Speaker 5: participate event jamison, you yourself as a fighter against another
- 26:51Speaker 5: guy our age. Would you do that knowing that it's
- 26:54Speaker 5: similar skill set, gave you time to train, would you
- 26:56Speaker 5: ever get into a ring? No?
- 26:58Speaker 3: Man, like, no, you gotta you can't fake boxing. Well,
- 27:01Speaker 3: you can fake a lot of things in life. You
- 27:03Speaker 3: can't fake, but you gotta want to do that. You
- 27:06Speaker 3: cannot utter any sort. It's not safe enough to not
- 27:10Speaker 3: be in there when you're not trying to be in there.
- 27:12Speaker 3: It is not basketball, it's not baseball, This is not
- 27:15Speaker 3: you know, this is none of that shit.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Boxing's boxing. Man, If you're not mentally prepared, you will
- 27:20Speaker 2: get hurt.
- 27:21Speaker 3: And I got bills and shit, so I can't afford
- 27:24Speaker 3: to get hurt the people who depend on me. I
- 27:26Speaker 3: make a lot of shit shape for a lot of people,
- 27:27Speaker 3: a lot of household, so I personally cannot get hurt.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I can't get sick. I can't fuck around and be
- 27:34Speaker 3: in boxing and get hurt on some dumb shit. I cannot.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Some people can, but I personally cannot sure.
- 27:42Speaker 5: And here's the thing, I'm not saying it enough. But
- 27:44Speaker 5: let's say that you know, you had the opportunity to
- 27:46Speaker 5: go to a gym, you found a trainer who is like,
- 27:47Speaker 5: you know, if you want to fight, you know, you
- 27:49Speaker 5: want to get into a forty forty year old fight
- 27:51Speaker 5: with another dude whatever, et cetera, and actually give you
- 27:55Speaker 5: a chance. You know, I'm not saying get into a
- 27:57Speaker 5: ring with you know, too many days you.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Go long in terms of the body, right, so we forty,
- 28:04Speaker 3: When forty, your body is different than when you're twenty.
- 28:06Speaker 2: If I was twenty, sure I would do it.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Why not?
- 28:10Speaker 3: But at forty our bones or plus I've got a
- 28:13Speaker 3: tory rotator cuff right now, television any surgery, so that's
- 28:16Speaker 3: how it's automatical for me. But even if it was
- 28:19Speaker 3: one hundred percent, I still wouldn't do it because our
- 28:21Speaker 3: bodies ain't built for that right now. It's the reason
- 28:24Speaker 3: why we don't see a lot of forty year old boxers.
- 28:26Speaker 3: The bodies ain't built for that. Like here, thing, going
- 28:29Speaker 3: from regular everyday stuff the boxing training will take your
- 28:33Speaker 3: boy to adjust. But going from boxing training actual boxing
- 28:37Speaker 3: is a whole different thing. And I don't think that
- 28:39Speaker 3: shocked to our bodies is safe.
- 28:42Speaker 5: That's fair, that's fair.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 5: I mean when when Emily said thirty five in up League,
- 28:46Speaker 5: I'll be honest, like, I was like, great, really they
- 28:49Speaker 5: do that? I guess I wonder is it like a
- 28:52Speaker 5: gentleman's agreement, Like, look, we're both almost forty here, Like,
- 28:55Speaker 5: we're not gonna try to kill each other. We're gonna
- 28:57Speaker 5: have fun, We're getting the ring, we're gonna fight. It's
- 28:58Speaker 5: gonna be a good match. But I'm not gonna try
- 29:01Speaker 5: to knock you out. Don't try to knock me out.
- 29:03Speaker 5: I was just curious about what what what would that
- 29:05Speaker 5: would be like because I mean there, but also to
- 29:08Speaker 5: be fair, there's a lot of dudes out there who
- 29:10Speaker 5: are like, I still got it. Some forty you know something,
- 29:12Speaker 5: you were guys like, yeah, yeah, I still got it.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I go to the gym twice a week.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I could do this. I could.
- 29:18Speaker 5: So Yeah, No, I would love to talk to somebody
- 29:23Speaker 5: who does that thirty five enough.
- 29:24Speaker 4: We should probably get them.
- 29:25Speaker 5: On the show and you know, not lose the recording
- 29:27Speaker 5: and talk to me like what made you want to
- 29:30Speaker 5: get up here in the ring being passed thirty five.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Not that that's old by any means, but that is
- 29:35Speaker 5: old a ship for a boxer, I'm sorry, it is.
- 29:37Speaker 4: It is old as shit to.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Be I'm cool.
- 29:40Speaker 3: With all the respect to those that type that were
- 29:42Speaker 3: just pay God bless you, but I'm cool.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Well, I uh, I took some time away from from
- 29:49Speaker 5: sparring just to to focus on to go back to
- 29:52Speaker 5: my roots and focus on getting fat again.
- 29:54Speaker 4: But you know, reconnect with the old me.
- 29:56Speaker 5: But but you know I did talking about this and
- 29:59Speaker 5: having the conversation with them.
- 30:00Speaker 4: I do miss it. I miss it.
- 30:01Speaker 5: So you know, I'm gonna have to get my schedule
- 30:03Speaker 5: right and get my uh get my fitness right, and
- 30:06Speaker 5: maybe head back there for a couple of lessons.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Nothing crazy, because yeah, you know.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Even just from like whatever and whenever I started five
- 30:13Speaker 5: years ago, the knees aren't the same, fucking shoulders aren't
- 30:16Speaker 5: the same. So and it's it's something that you have
- 30:21Speaker 5: to be physically fit from head to.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Toe, like literally I never knew how difficult that was.
- 30:26Speaker 5: So, like I said before, just so much respect for.
- 30:31Speaker 4: For anybody who decides to get into ring.
- 30:33Speaker 5: So a no thing that we usually do as a
- 30:37Speaker 5: pop pugilism segment. Usually we'll discuss all pick a movie
- 30:40Speaker 5: or TV show to talk about this one we not, okay,
- 30:46Speaker 5: not this one, we will for today, we asked Emily
- 30:48Speaker 5: her favorite boxing movie and she said, well, she considers
- 30:50Speaker 5: the movie Snatch, which is funny because I.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Just rewatched it. Have you seen Snatch? Jameson not off Top?
- 30:55Speaker 5: No, Yeah, it's a guy ritchie movie. It's it's a
- 30:58Speaker 5: it's a British movie. It's Jason Statham, Stephen Graham, Brad
- 31:02Speaker 5: Pitt playing like a romani character. He's doing an accent
- 31:06Speaker 5: you can't really understand.
- 31:07Speaker 4: And a big, big.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Part of that movie is a boy a boxing tournament,
- 31:12Speaker 5: like a bare knuckle boxing event.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Like that's a big through line.
- 31:16Speaker 5: It is a comedy. It's a crime comedy. There's like
- 31:19Speaker 5: silly capers. I will say it does have some of that,
- 31:23Speaker 5: like Tarantino want to be asked, like two cool snappy
- 31:28Speaker 5: snap snap dialogue. The movies that we got you know
- 31:31Speaker 5: for a while, you know, you're know what I'm talking about.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Like a lot of these movies just tried to be
- 31:35Speaker 5: tried to be Tarantino. You know, Snatch came out in
- 31:37Speaker 5: two thousands, so it's out of time, but just a
- 31:40Speaker 5: personal recommendation. It does hold up. Like I said, it
- 31:43Speaker 5: was just like two weeks ago that I watched it.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I was having fun. The jokes landed, the fight scenes
- 31:49Speaker 5: were pretty cool, and Ali Ron just saw you.
- 31:52Speaker 4: If you haven't watched.
- 31:53Speaker 5: It, if you're I don't know, if you're a Guy
- 31:54Speaker 5: Richie fan at all, have you seen it? I think
- 31:59Speaker 5: like that, that's that's my favorite movie of his, and
- 32:02Speaker 5: that's pretty much like the one I would recommend.
- 32:05Speaker 4: And then he did Lockstock in Two Smoking Barrels like
- 32:07Speaker 4: a few years before, but it's like the shittier version
- 32:10Speaker 4: of Snatch.
- 32:11Speaker 5: It's like he did the the trial run that then
- 32:15Speaker 5: he perfected in the Snatch. So I was like, all right,
- 32:18Speaker 5: well I don't need that first one. I have this
- 32:20Speaker 5: movie here, so but yeah, I'm glad that you brought
- 32:23Speaker 5: it up because it's it's a fun movie. I remember
- 32:26Speaker 5: when I was a teenager, I watched that first Transporter
- 32:30Speaker 5: movie with Statham and I hate it that I was.
- 32:33Speaker 4: It was terrible, it was awful.
- 32:36Speaker 5: And then I put on Snatch and I'm like, oh,
- 32:37Speaker 5: Stathum is actually cool, Like all right, all right, Stathum
- 32:41Speaker 5: you're you're good. So yeah, just just a quick to.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Round out the show.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Quick recommendation from two thousand Snatch, directed by Guy Richie.
- 32:50Speaker 5: If you haven't seen it in a long time, it
- 32:52Speaker 5: does hold up. So I was a little nervous about,
- 32:54Speaker 5: you know, fifteen years on how it to hold up,
- 32:56Speaker 5: but it was fun, so definitely check it out. All right,
- 33:00Speaker 5: that's that's gonna be the show for today. Sorry about
