- 0:00Speaker 1: What to do. We're back again The Grounded Show, episode
- 0:05Speaker 1: one forty nine. You're hear me, what's going on? Bro?
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm here with the special guests of the day. The
- 0:11Speaker 1: homie diesle funk y'all may know him if you're in
- 0:14Speaker 1: the Orlando area seeing him out mixing, seeing him out
- 0:17Speaker 1: doing his thing. He actually is the inspiration behind what
- 0:22Speaker 1: me and Joe's been doing with the winery. Just from
- 0:25Speaker 1: the point of view of like when I saw your event,
- 0:28Speaker 1: it was kind of like eye opening for me to
- 0:32Speaker 1: just the idea of, like you have a cool event
- 0:35Speaker 1: where like even me, somebody that I don't like to
- 0:38Speaker 1: go out like that, it has like that kind of
- 0:40Speaker 1: vibe that you could still enjoy yourself, you know. Like
- 0:42Speaker 1: even Joe was saying, like, Bro, trust me, pull up.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'm not gonna invite you if I think you're not
- 0:47Speaker 1: going to enjoy yourself. So I pulled up and we
- 0:49Speaker 1: had a great time. And like I said, I was like, damn, bro,
- 0:52Speaker 1: something like this, I will be down to get behind
- 0:54Speaker 1: because it's actually like a cool vibe. You know.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Well that means you're getting older too, That's all that means.
- 1:00Speaker 2: You want to sit down at the end of the
- 1:02Speaker 2: day do anything. You know, I appreciate that. Thanks for
- 1:06Speaker 2: saying that.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:07Speaker 2: You know, that's what we're here for, to inspire each other, right, yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Man. And and obviously you've been doing it for a
- 1:12Speaker 1: long time, doing music, doing your thing, and that's something
- 1:16Speaker 1: that you kind of like cultivate and kind of put
- 1:19Speaker 1: together over time, figure that out and and be able
- 1:22Speaker 1: to have like an atmosphere where people can really chill
- 1:25Speaker 1: and you're kind of like leading the vibe with the
- 1:27Speaker 1: music and stuff. That's always it's always dope to see
- 1:31Speaker 1: like when you doing your music thing puts people in
- 1:35Speaker 1: a certain place, you know what I mean, like and
- 1:37Speaker 1: lets them like kind of let their guard down, relax,
- 1:39Speaker 1: enjoy it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The purpose of a DJ in particular, you know, to
- 1:44Speaker 2: vibe out and relax be themselves.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yep. Yeah. I feel like sometimes you go places and
- 1:50Speaker 1: like with the social media and stuff, it kind of
- 1:52Speaker 1: makes DJs feel like they got to be like the
- 1:56Speaker 1: main guy or like the main character or whatever. But
- 1:58Speaker 1: it's like the vibe is the main character, you know. Yeh.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I mean it depends if people come to see your
- 2:03Speaker 2: music in particular, you know, it's like you're the musician
- 2:06Speaker 2: on the stage.
- 2:07Speaker 1: That's true. That depends on the setting for sure. For sure.
- 2:10Speaker 2: You know it's all about the setting and what vibe
- 2:13Speaker 2: or aesthetic you're going for.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, that makes sense for sure. You messed
- 2:18Speaker 1: with Steely Dan at all, of course, Bro, So like
- 2:22Speaker 1: seely Dan is one of those things where like if
- 2:25Speaker 1: you mentioned Seely Dan or somebody and they and if
- 2:28Speaker 1: they don't even know what you're talking about, that tells
- 2:31Speaker 1: you something, all right. But then on top of that,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's like dangn, bro, like you really ain't never heard
- 2:37Speaker 1: Steele Damn.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And they have though they just don't know who no
- 2:40Speaker 2: fact fact, especially with like.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Kanye sampling them, you know what I mean, Like a
- 2:44Speaker 1: lot of people don't, but he sampled them for he
- 2:48Speaker 1: sampled them on Champion on the Graduation album. Really yep,
- 2:52Speaker 1: there's a song, a song called I think the song
- 2:55Speaker 1: is called the Kids Charlemagne and you know that song
- 2:58Speaker 1: that the Kanye Won't Where did you realize that you
- 3:02Speaker 1: were a Champion that yeah? Man, So even Kanye was
- 3:07Speaker 1: tapped in bro. Yeah, and Steely Dan is one of
- 3:11Speaker 1: And the reason I bring up Seely Dan is because
- 3:13Speaker 1: before we started recording, you showed me one of the
- 3:16Speaker 1: new joints you've been working on, and the way that
- 3:19Speaker 1: you incorporate, like the different instruments and the vibe and stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It gave me that kind of like Steely Dan kind
- 3:24Speaker 1: of vibe because seely Dan kind of has that thing
- 3:27Speaker 1: where it's the band is not really a band, and
- 3:30Speaker 1: the band is like the two main guys and they
- 3:33Speaker 1: just use session musicians to do the rest of the song.
- 3:36Speaker 1: So like you feel like Steely Dan is like a
- 3:39Speaker 1: big band or whatever, but it's really just two guys
- 3:41Speaker 1: that have these ideas and they're saying, all right, bro,
- 3:44Speaker 1: let's see you can say this the best, you know
- 3:46Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, putting the pieces together. That's the ultimate description of
- 3:52Speaker 2: a producer, I think.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 3:54Speaker 2: You put everybody in the room like Quincy Jones or
- 3:58Speaker 2: you know, perfect segue Joe Jackson. Yeah, facts, maybe not
- 4:03Speaker 2: a good example, but regardless.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I've been seeing a lot of Quincy Jones and Michael
- 4:07Speaker 1: Jackson stuff. Obviously the movies just dropped, so like people
- 4:10Speaker 1: are backing that bag. And the main thing I've been
- 4:14Speaker 1: noticing about Quincy Jones at least from like the kind
- 4:17Speaker 1: of stuff that's been falling in my algorithm is so
- 4:22Speaker 1: a lot of the musicians from Toto were the ones
- 4:25Speaker 1: that worked on Thriller with Michael Jackson. So even you know,
- 4:29Speaker 1: some of the guys from Total even did some songwriting
- 4:32Speaker 1: on the Thriller album. Like one of the guys from
- 4:35Speaker 1: Total wrote human Nature. You know. It was like a
- 4:39Speaker 1: demo that he had flowing around and he ended up
- 4:42Speaker 1: getting into Michael Jackson obviously. And something that I noticed
- 4:47Speaker 1: about Quincy Jones is a lot of the stuff that
- 4:50Speaker 1: they were doing for the Thriller album was very poppy,
- 4:54Speaker 1: and whenever Quincy Jones would reach out to somebody to
- 4:58Speaker 1: play something different or add some guitar or whatever, he
- 5:01Speaker 1: would always do it from the point of view of like, yo,
- 5:04Speaker 1: make this funky, like give this the groove, you know
- 5:07Speaker 1: what I mean. So I feel like that's like the thing,
- 5:10Speaker 1: like kind of going the way you're saying how important
- 5:12Speaker 1: a producer is. Like that was the thing that made
- 5:15Speaker 1: Thriller such a crazy and unique album because it had
- 5:18Speaker 1: the pop but when C Jones made it funky, so
- 5:22Speaker 1: it was R and B, you know what I mean,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Like it was pop, but it was pop R and B,
- 5:26Speaker 1: so like it crossed over but also people that were
- 5:30Speaker 1: just fans of R and b rocked with it because
- 5:32Speaker 1: it was too good, you know what I'm saying, And
- 5:36Speaker 1: kind of like you were saying, like you had a
- 5:38Speaker 1: lot of people involved in the song that you play
- 5:40Speaker 1: for me, you know what I mean, You have people
- 5:41Speaker 1: play all those instruments and a singer and everything.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we had a crysal Brain on keys and organs.
- 5:47Speaker 2: We had Chuck mcgitt on guitars and vocals.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Nice. Nice, And it's just the idea of like these
- 5:54Speaker 1: people wouldn't have just got together on their own, more
- 5:57Speaker 1: than likely to put this together your mind and what
- 6:01Speaker 1: you're kind of envisioningble what they're good at and seeing
- 6:04Speaker 1: how it fits into the sound that you're trying to create.
- 6:06Speaker 1: That really like puts it all together. And that's the
- 6:08Speaker 1: thing like we've talked about on the podcast before too,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Like a lot of people be like, man, this I
- 6:14Speaker 1: like this from this artist, but then after that they
- 6:16Speaker 1: never did anything else, And it was like, yeah, because
- 6:18Speaker 1: they were with this producer for that, and they never
- 6:21Speaker 1: use that producer again, you know what I mean. Like
- 6:24Speaker 1: I always see like a lot of good producers talk
- 6:26Speaker 1: about how they'll do something with an artist, and the
- 6:29Speaker 1: artists will get kind of big headed, like, oh, it's
- 6:32Speaker 1: you anymore, you know what I mean exactly exactly, it'll
- 6:35Speaker 1: do well exactly and then they go and they don't
- 6:39Speaker 1: have that same success because they realize, like, bro, it
- 6:41Speaker 1: wasn't just you, you know what I mean, Like there's
- 6:43Speaker 1: somebody else there filtering that music, and they see what's
- 6:47Speaker 1: good about you and they know how to like highlight
- 6:50Speaker 1: it and stuff. And it's like sometimes when you do
- 6:53Speaker 1: cause like I'm the same as you, Like I have
- 6:55Speaker 1: my home studio, but same as you. I collaborate with
- 6:58Speaker 1: people too, because if you get to like deep in
- 7:00Speaker 1: your cave, you don't really know like what's good what's
- 7:04Speaker 1: not touch exactly, Like you know what you like and
- 7:08Speaker 1: you know when you make some dope stuff. But at
- 7:10Speaker 1: the same time, like music is like collaborative to a
- 7:14Speaker 1: certain point, like to a certain extent, even just from
- 7:17Speaker 1: the point of view of like you got to get
- 7:18Speaker 1: people to like it. So even as much as you
- 7:21Speaker 1: try to say I'm doing it all myself, you still
- 7:25Speaker 1: need people to enjoy it. So like it's collaborative regardless,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And it kind of goes
- 7:32Speaker 1: back to like what we were talking about when we
- 7:33Speaker 1: were outside before we started recording, Like everybody wants to
- 7:36Speaker 1: be like the main character, not realizing like them being
- 7:40Speaker 1: part of like somebody's story can carry them to the
- 7:44Speaker 1: next thing. Yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Man, everybody's not the main character exactly.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And even like kind of going back to the thriller
- 7:49Speaker 1: thing right now, a lot of the people involved with
- 7:51Speaker 1: making the album or getting interviewed why because they were
- 7:55Speaker 1: they had the mind to say, yo, I can be
- 7:59Speaker 1: part of something super No, let me, let me be
- 8:01Speaker 1: part of that. And now for the rest of their lives,
- 8:04Speaker 1: they're always good because they had a hand and thriller,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Were they the main character? Na,
- 8:12Speaker 1: but they were a key component the guy that wrote
- 8:14Speaker 1: human Nature. Bro, you never get human nature unless you
- 8:17Speaker 1: have that guy write that song. Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Correct, Well that's why you become a part of something
- 8:22Speaker 2: like that, to elevate you to the next level so
- 8:25Speaker 2: you can go and do your own thing for sure.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Like oh Sheila, so she was under prints for so long,
- 8:34Speaker 2: you know, and eventually she broke apart and did her
- 8:36Speaker 2: own thing. But sometimes you gotta suck it up and
- 8:38Speaker 2: not maybe suck it up but you just gotta put
- 8:41Speaker 2: your piece in and let it ride and build a
- 8:43Speaker 2: bigger thing and then go off and do your your thing.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Like the best example now because he's the biggest guys. Like,
- 8:49Speaker 1: not everybody's bad bunny, bro, there's one bad bunny. Everybody
- 8:52Speaker 1: should be bad bunny. For the record, Yeah, I mean,
- 8:55Speaker 1: for sure, I definitely agree with that, you know what
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm saying. But it's like they're only putting that kind
- 9:02Speaker 1: of money and exposure and a few artists, and if
- 9:05Speaker 1: you're not those artists, keep making your art, you know
- 9:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like you don't got to be Beyonce
- 9:12Speaker 1: to make some stuff that's Beyonce equality, you know what
- 9:14Speaker 1: I mean, Like if it's in, you do your thing,
- 9:17Speaker 1: Like we were talking about it before we record it too,
- 9:19Speaker 1: Like everybody needs to do something creative, bro, Like if
- 9:22Speaker 1: you let that creative side of you die, bro, like
- 9:25Speaker 1: you're a little piece of your personality and even like
- 9:28Speaker 1: your critical thinking dies. I feel like, you know what
- 9:30Speaker 1: I mean.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you have to express yourself like a hobby
- 9:33Speaker 2: or whatever it maybe you know what I'm sure, like,
- 9:35Speaker 2: call it what you will exactly.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And before we were recording, also we were talking a
- 9:40Speaker 1: little bit about like video games and stuff, and I'm
- 9:42Speaker 1: kind of like you, Bro, Like I was always outside.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I do play a little college streets.
- 9:47Speaker 1: In the streets and that street and now I was
- 9:49Speaker 1: at the basketball court. Bro, that was my thing. But
- 9:53Speaker 1: you know, when I was little, I definitely had a
- 9:56Speaker 1: Super Nintendo in a PlayStation and stuff, and like I
- 9:59Speaker 1: had like this super obscure game that like every time
- 10:02Speaker 1: I bring it up to people, they don't know what
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about. It was called Super Earth Defense Force.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Sounds like some Aatari stuff. It was like it was
- 10:11Speaker 1: this game of like an airplane and then in the beginning,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you pick what kind of weapon you want for that plane,
- 10:18Speaker 1: like it had like homing missiles, like a spray yo bombs,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You picked one of like
- 10:24Speaker 1: eight different weapons, and then you attached you know what
- 10:27Speaker 1: I mean. And Bro, that game to me, that game
- 10:30Speaker 1: was so fire, bro, because it had like kind of
- 10:33Speaker 1: like a little top gunish kind of vibe with the
- 10:35Speaker 1: music and like the vibe of the game. It was
- 10:37Speaker 1: super hard too, Ao, but the game was super dope,
- 10:41Speaker 1: And like anytime I bring it up to people, they
- 10:43Speaker 1: never know what game that was on Super Nintendo. So
- 10:47Speaker 1: it was like a like the second version of a
- 10:49Speaker 1: game called Earth Defense Force. So when Super Nintendo, it
- 10:53Speaker 1: was Super Earth Defense you know, but.
- 10:57Speaker 2: What did you ever play Star Fox star Fucks?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yeah? Play was that similar to that? Or no? It
- 11:02Speaker 1: was it was like it was almost like a contra,
- 11:06Speaker 1: you know, but it's a plane, you know. It was.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It was dope though, man like that. I have a
- 11:12Speaker 1: homie that actually does like he'd be on TikTok like
- 11:16Speaker 1: streaming doing like just playing retro games, retro games and stuff.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And I suggested it to him, like when he was
- 11:22Speaker 1: on one day, I'm like, yo, you should play Super
- 11:24Speaker 1: Defense Force. And he pulled it up. He had never
- 11:26Speaker 1: played it before. He's like, damn, this game is pretty dope.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Like I could see like getting into it, you know.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And it's like, you know, back in the day, like
- 11:35Speaker 1: if you had like a lot of money, like you
- 11:37Speaker 1: had to buy the games that were like cheaper, you
- 11:39Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So you had to find like
- 11:41Speaker 1: them little random hitting gems the game, you know what
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean. So like that was like one of my
- 11:46Speaker 1: little hitting gem type games, you know what I mean.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Like this game is pretty dope, Like nobody really knows
- 11:50Speaker 1: about it. What was the max level you got on there? Man,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I'll probably only be like the third level on that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But it was one of them games like about like
- 11:59Speaker 1: games that kids don't understand nowadays. Bro, Like games back
- 12:03Speaker 1: in the day you barely had any lives, you could
- 12:06Speaker 1: barely take any damage, and the levels were so hard, bro,
- 12:11Speaker 1: Like you really had to like get through the whole level.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Only game hit like one time.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I quit playing video games after a while.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I was like, no, it's no fun. Yet it gets
- 12:19Speaker 1: to a certain point where like the game is too
- 12:22Speaker 1: much like when I play a video game. That's why,
- 12:25Speaker 1: like the only game I play now is called of
- 12:27Speaker 1: Duty because it's easy. Bro, You're just shooting each other
- 12:31Speaker 1: and the last man standing with I don't got to
- 12:33Speaker 1: think about it nothing. It's just like it's just an
- 12:36Speaker 1: outlandish game that I enjoy playing. But all these games
- 12:40Speaker 1: were like and even like another thing that kind of
- 12:42Speaker 1: gets me is like, you know people be playing the
- 12:44Speaker 1: games where it's like like, uh, you're just making decisions
- 12:49Speaker 1: like like a role playing what I call that RPGs.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, my boy across the streets, So my buddy had
- 12:56Speaker 2: a PlayStation kid I grew up with right, the thing
- 12:59Speaker 2: I had. I had a side yeah and maybe Natari. Right,
- 13:01Speaker 2: he had a PlayStation always the coolest game. So I'll
- 13:04Speaker 2: go over there. It's like, you know, let's play some
- 13:05Speaker 2: Twisted Metal. Was like, no, I want to play Final Fantasy.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I was like, dude, this sucks.
- 13:09Speaker 1: This is so boring. Yo, that's a hot take. Let
- 13:11Speaker 1: me go. I am one hundred percent with you. Bro.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I never got the Final Fantasy thing because it's like, Bro,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'm not trying to choose what to do. I'm trying
- 13:20Speaker 1: to do it.
- 13:21Speaker 2: You choose choose how to fight. All right, I'm gonna
- 13:23Speaker 2: do this this is and then you watch a fight
- 13:25Speaker 2: like all right, that's it.
- 13:26Speaker 1: The only role playing game that I ever was able
- 13:28Speaker 1: to get into was Pokemon. That was the only one
- 13:31Speaker 1: that had that style of play that I actually enjoyed.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But aside from Pokemon, Bro, I hated all those games
- 13:38Speaker 1: like that.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Side note, I saw an interview with Big Boy and
- 13:42Speaker 2: he said he plays Pokemon Go and he carries around
- 13:45Speaker 2: the ball. I don't know anything about it.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It's like a little poke ball that like if you
- 13:49Speaker 1: have that Pokemon and you have a sink to your phone,
- 13:51Speaker 1: like with the bluetooth. Yeah, it automatically does all the
- 13:54Speaker 1: tasks because if now you have to open your phone
- 13:57Speaker 1: and like like physically press the buttons and stuff. Oh
- 14:00Speaker 1: so he has the bog ball, so anywhere that he goes, yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 1: fact a master sheet, It just collects him as he waltks.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It just collects everything. The Pokemon item. You're better than that, yeah, yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: but man, that's that's that's the money player, bro, that's
- 14:15Speaker 1: the money place.
- 14:16Speaker 2: And then what do you do when you collect them?
- 14:17Speaker 2: What like can you get money from them?
- 14:19Speaker 1: So Pokemon is one of those games like the way
- 14:21Speaker 1: that I look at it because I'll be playing it
- 14:23Speaker 1: here and there, bro. Like it's one of those games
- 14:25Speaker 1: that if you're if you have any like random dope moment,
- 14:29Speaker 1: it's like a perfect little game for those moments, you
- 14:31Speaker 1: know what I mean. It's not like the game isn't
- 14:34Speaker 1: like super consistent where you gotta be on it, you
- 14:37Speaker 1: know what I mean? Or like it like yeah, yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it's the goal is too complicated or anything. It's like
- 14:41Speaker 1: you could pick up or whatever and pick up where
- 14:43Speaker 1: you left off, you know, wate ten minutes or whatever.
- 14:46Speaker 1: For me, my goal to is when I'm at Disney
- 14:49Speaker 1: with the family, because whenever I'm at Disney with the
- 14:52Speaker 1: family that we're like walking around the theme parks or
- 14:54Speaker 1: like at the pool or whatever. Disney got mad Poka stops,
- 14:58Speaker 1: So when you open up the Pokemon it's like lit up,
- 15:02Speaker 1: like there's so much activity because like there's so many
- 15:04Speaker 1: hotspots that this. Yeah, so you're just sitting there doing
- 15:07Speaker 1: your things. It's kind of like people when people play
- 15:09Speaker 1: Candy Crush and stuff like that. Like I used to
- 15:11Speaker 1: like always like try to cloun my wife like damn,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you play Candy Crush. But then I thought about him,
- 15:15Speaker 1: like I'm playing You're in the park where poking, Like yeah, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to I'm trying to make it seem like
- 15:20Speaker 1: my game is like more high brow than hers, like
- 15:23Speaker 1: we both doing something stupid, you know what I mean.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Sorry, man, you got to relax your minds sometimes, just like.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, fact exactly. And that's like something we were talking
- 15:31Speaker 1: about earlier too, Like even just like being creative and
- 15:36Speaker 1: being on that tip, like I feel like it lets
- 15:38Speaker 1: you kind of be in that mind state where you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: like more open to things, you know what I mean,
- 15:42Speaker 1: Like you can get really rigid when like you're just
- 15:45Speaker 1: in the mindset of like work and fills and like
- 15:49Speaker 1: you kind of let yourself become one of them little
- 15:51Speaker 1: drones and then you kind of forget like that you're
- 15:53Speaker 1: here to have fun too, you know what I mean.
- 15:55Speaker 2: To remind myself that every day, Yeah, chill out, dog,
- 15:58Speaker 2: relax for real.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Man. Like even we were talking about earlier, like we're
- 16:03Speaker 1: all so tapped in and everything that's happening all around
- 16:06Speaker 1: the whole world. Bro, Like we're not supposed to know that, bro,
- 16:09Speaker 1: Like we're just supposed to like worry about like because
- 16:11Speaker 1: even you think about like back in the day, a
- 16:14Speaker 1: dude like you know, was just waking up, like Okay,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I got to put in work, you know, just to
- 16:20Speaker 1: make sure there's food on the table and everybody's good
- 16:24Speaker 1: and we're ready for the seasons and stuff. You know
- 16:26Speaker 1: what I mean. Everybody was just a simple task. You
- 16:30Speaker 1: knew what you was doing, and you appreciated anything above that,
- 16:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And now, bro, we got
- 16:37Speaker 1: so much that we don't even know, like what appreciate it?
- 16:40Speaker 1: We don't appreciate it. We don't even know what we're doing.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Like what's the point. What we're doing. Yeah, I appreciate it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I love the life we live.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Like, there's no way I'd want to be out there,
- 16:49Speaker 2: you know, harvesting fields on a grand scale just to survive.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You know, I'm glad we don't have to do that now. Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 2: In fact, not saying that I don't have a garden such,
- 16:58Speaker 2: but I'm not relying on that to live.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But yeah, what's the ultimate.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Goal, like get rich and famous, have a big family,
- 17:05Speaker 2: you know, accumulated a butler of money, or just be
- 17:09Speaker 2: who we are with the people we have for the
- 17:11Speaker 2: time we have left.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and it almost feels like we already like out
- 17:16Speaker 1: kicked our coverage as like humans. Yeah, like even like
- 17:21Speaker 1: you know, it's funny. Man. The other day I was
- 17:23Speaker 1: shout out to my guy Ian Man, my engineer Bro.
- 17:27Speaker 1: He's super dope man, shout out to Polymath Studios. And
- 17:30Speaker 1: the other day I pulled up on him like just
- 17:32Speaker 1: airing out my frustrations on like AI and music, you
- 17:35Speaker 1: know what I mean, Dang Bro, Like I'm seeing all
- 17:38Speaker 1: these people like posting all this AI stuff and like
- 17:41Speaker 1: taking credit for it because the normal people don't know
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's AI. Sure, but when you make music, you know,
- 17:47Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and you're like, dang, bro,
- 17:49Speaker 1: like you're really out here trying to take credit for
- 17:51Speaker 1: some AI, Like what are we doing? Bro?
- 17:53Speaker 2: But you know a lot of the distribution companies, you know, Lander, CD, Baby,
- 18:00Speaker 2: Distro Kid, whatever you use, they have the stipulation that
- 18:04Speaker 2: you cannot upload any AI creative music.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Now now it's getting like flagged and like if
- 18:10Speaker 1: you look in the song description, it'll say AI. So
- 18:13Speaker 1: that's super dope. I love that definitely like that. But
- 18:16Speaker 1: it was funny because I was talking to Ian about it.
- 18:19Speaker 1: He's like, bro, fuck all that, We about to all
- 18:22Speaker 1: be dead. Like this AI stuff is way deeper than
- 18:25Speaker 1: the music thing, you know what I mean. And it's
- 18:27Speaker 1: like when you get into that side of it and
- 18:29Speaker 1: you see what AI is doing and like just how
- 18:32Speaker 1: many people it's put out of a job and stuff,
- 18:34Speaker 1: And it goes back to people saying like what is
- 18:35Speaker 1: the point of what we're doing? Bro? Like things are
- 18:38Speaker 1: getting into like such a degree that you don't even know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: like what's going on? You don't know what's like, So
- 18:44Speaker 1: let's talk about our trip around the moon.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Like if our AI and our CGI is so good,
- 18:50Speaker 2: how did that stuff looks so horrible.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Bro, are just our recent trip, yo? And so I
- 18:58Speaker 1: talked to Ian about this too. Bro. He actually did
- 19:03Speaker 1: a commercial with buzz Aldrin, like maybe like ten years
- 19:08Speaker 1: ago or something like that. And he's like he was
- 19:10Speaker 1: real senile.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Huh.
- 19:13Speaker 1: He's like, I don't care. We never went it was
- 19:15Speaker 1: like no, Bro, we went to the movie. You don't understand.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I talked to buzz Aldrin. I'm like, dog like, it's
- 19:22Speaker 1: hard for me to like think, like, Yo, we went
- 19:24Speaker 1: to the moon at that time, and then we just stopped.
- 19:27Speaker 1: That's it. Like it was nineteen sixty nine. A computer
- 19:30Speaker 1: was the size of a house, Bro.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And we're making phone calls for the presidential office to the.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, like okay, I guess you know, I guess we
- 19:39Speaker 1: just stopped, you know what I'm saying. Like even now
- 19:42Speaker 1: theyven they didn't even get off or nothing. They just
- 19:44Speaker 1: just orbited outside that wasn't orbited before. There it is.
- 19:47Speaker 1: That's what that looks like. And it's like, bro, like
- 19:50Speaker 1: you Yo, there's there's like you a little thing now
- 19:54Speaker 1: where I don't know if you've seen it, like and
- 19:56Speaker 1: this is all verified, like anybody could go check this out, Bro,
- 20:00Speaker 1: there's like twelve or so different like scientists and like
- 20:03Speaker 1: pundans kind of that are that have dealt with alien
- 20:07Speaker 1: research that have gone vincing or have gotten killed in
- 20:10Speaker 1: the very recent like very recently, like to the point
- 20:13Speaker 1: where the FBI is now like looking into it because
- 20:17Speaker 1: they're like, Bro, this is too this is too weird.
- 20:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean? These are all people that
- 20:21Speaker 1: were involved in alien stuff, like alien research, anything the
- 20:27Speaker 1: government had to do with like UAPs anything like that.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I just like how they rename you a photo UAP, Like.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, they try to soften it, bro. And it's crazy
- 20:38Speaker 1: how much they've just been openly talking about.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's like, like, what are we talking about? Like, oh,
- 20:43Speaker 2: you think aliens? Everybody should be like, oh yes, obviously
- 20:46Speaker 2: what's going on? People like oh so what It's like
- 20:48Speaker 2: we're so exactly. Like it's like they're like drop this
- 20:51Speaker 2: on them. See what they say?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Literally, bro, Like I remember when when I think the
- 20:55Speaker 1: first hearing that they had about that was like in
- 20:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty three, and I was like, bro, I was
- 21:00Speaker 1: telling people like bro, you've seen this, like this is
- 21:03Speaker 1: this is an official government hearing, Like this is a
- 21:05Speaker 1: Senate hearing bro'.
- 21:06Speaker 2: About the Canadian Prime Minister that one.
- 21:09Speaker 1: That one, and then they had one with these dudes
- 21:11Speaker 1: that were part of different programs where they all were
- 21:14Speaker 1: just talking about like, yeah, we've recovered like organics, we
- 21:19Speaker 1: have ships, we have this. Like they're literally for two
- 21:22Speaker 1: hours straight, bro, Like the people from the Senate are
- 21:25Speaker 1: grilling them, and Congress is grilling them like yo, did
- 21:29Speaker 1: you do? Like they're just asking them specific questions and
- 21:32Speaker 1: the guys are answering like yep, we've seen this. We've
- 21:34Speaker 1: seen that. They're talking about specific crashes. They're talking about
- 21:38Speaker 1: specific things that they have, and I'm like, bro, and
- 21:41Speaker 1: then like you tell people and it's like yeah, bro,
- 21:43Speaker 1: there's like these wars going on, there's political unbrests, this
- 21:47Speaker 1: and that, Like people don't even care. But it's like, bro,
- 21:50Speaker 1: this is insane. Bro. I grew up.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Where I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, there was a
- 21:57Speaker 2: giant still as a giant air Force base called right
- 21:59Speaker 2: Passon Air Force.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever heard.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Of about it, but the whole thing is I have
- 22:03Speaker 2: a giant underground city and apparently this is where the
- 22:07Speaker 2: Roswell crash went to be studied and so growing up there,
- 22:10Speaker 2: you know, you would always see crazy stuff in the
- 22:12Speaker 2: skylight at night, all kinds of inexpectable things. Even in
- 22:16Speaker 2: Sanford I've seen where.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 2: In fact, if if you don't see them, or if
- 22:20Speaker 2: you haven't experienced in your life, you're just not open
- 22:22Speaker 2: to it or you're not looking for it, you know
- 22:24Speaker 2: what I mean. Like, if you're open to it, you'll
- 22:26Speaker 2: see it.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Bro off the neighborhood I grew up. I remember I
- 22:29Speaker 1: was saying it off like Diana Lake Underhill. One time,
- 22:31Speaker 1: me and my mom was driving home from something at
- 22:33Speaker 1: night and we seen something in the sky, bro and
- 22:36Speaker 1: we pulled over. Yo, everybody pulled over and we were
- 22:38Speaker 1: all it was like late at night, and it almost
- 22:41Speaker 1: looked like a blimp, but it was moving insane, Bro.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And I'm telling you, it was like a group of
- 22:46Speaker 1: like maybe ten cars that pulled over to look at it,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And I'm older, so like
- 22:51Speaker 1: this is at the time when little cell phones nothing
- 22:54Speaker 1: like that. Like it's just people looking like, Yo, what
- 22:56Speaker 1: the hell is this? You know what I mean. And
- 22:58Speaker 1: then the next day we were trying to kind of
- 23:00Speaker 1: see if there was anything on the news about or
- 23:02Speaker 1: anything and nothing. And I even asked my mom recently,
- 23:05Speaker 1: like hey, I misremembering this or did this happen, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: she's like, Nah, that really didn't. Probably some of the
- 23:10Speaker 1: only people to see it exactly bro, and it was
- 23:13Speaker 1: like so insane. But stuff like that is kind of
- 23:17Speaker 1: like the UFO disclosure thing, where like, bro, people just
- 23:20Speaker 1: they're like all right, and then you just kind of
- 23:22Speaker 1: keep it moving.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's like the movie Idiocracy or
- 23:27Speaker 2: the movie Gamer. You ever seen the movie Gamer? Yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 2: same vibe. They don't care, just keep me in my
- 23:32Speaker 2: bubble and keep it moving.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's crazy too because when you I don't know, man
- 23:40Speaker 1: like alien at the end of the day, it just
- 23:43Speaker 1: means that you're not like from wherever you're at, correct,
- 23:46Speaker 1: know what I mean. So it's like I was talking
- 23:49Speaker 1: about it with my wife recently, like I kind of
- 23:50Speaker 1: liked the theory of like we're in this galaxy and
- 23:54Speaker 1: all the galaxies have different like ages, you know what
- 23:57Speaker 1: I mean, Like the other galaxy that's near might be
- 24:00Speaker 1: a billion years ahead of us, and they're just the
- 24:03Speaker 1: more advanced version of us traveling around, you know, just
- 24:07Speaker 1: seeing what's up because they have the capability to do it,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And even now we're with
- 24:12Speaker 1: with AI, we're starting to find out like the need
- 24:17Speaker 1: for cold basically to cool these like oh, you know
- 24:22Speaker 1: AI data centers because you know, it uses a lot
- 24:24Speaker 1: of energy and electricity and it burns hot. So they're
- 24:27Speaker 1: starting to think about, oh, let's put stuff underwater, let's
- 24:30Speaker 1: put stuff in space. So it's like it only makes
- 24:33Speaker 1: sense that like the most powerful tech that we can
- 24:38Speaker 1: make would only operate in space because space is the
- 24:41Speaker 1: only place that has the temperature that can like withstand
- 24:44Speaker 1: the kind of energy that that's putting out.
- 24:46Speaker 2: So you're talking about they're going to put all these
- 24:47Speaker 2: data centers in space.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah, So like even like Elon Musk was talking about,
- 24:52Speaker 1: like because you know, they're already having issues now with
- 24:55Speaker 1: like all these AI data centers like poison and water
- 24:58Speaker 1: ways and cities and stuff, and like they're just burning
- 25:03Speaker 1: so hot and using so much energy that they're like
- 25:05Speaker 1: there's like some towns where they're basically like passing off
- 25:08Speaker 1: the fees, like basically the energy.
- 25:10Speaker 2: You see all these anti data center protests exactly because people.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Are seeing damn, my water and light bills going up.
- 25:18Speaker 1: But we're not consuming more. It's because they're consuming so
- 25:21Speaker 1: much and they're getting it basically like subsidized the government,
- 25:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean, free for them. So Elon
- 25:26Speaker 1: Musk was talking about basically, for lack of a better term,
- 25:29Speaker 1: like these big as satellites that have the AI data
- 25:33Speaker 1: center capability in them in space, so because in space
- 25:36Speaker 1: you have the space for it, and it's super cold,
- 25:39Speaker 1: so they can run to hot you know what I mean,
- 25:41Speaker 1: set them up there. And it's like, bro, like send
- 25:43Speaker 1: them up there, and they're talking about this right now, Bro, Like.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I'm sure it's up there. They're just telling us now exactly.
- 25:49Speaker 2: It's not like they haven't tried it.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And even like recently Tesla announced they're discontinuing one of
- 25:55Speaker 1: the models to shift that production just to AI stuff. Sure,
- 26:00Speaker 1: So it's like.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Well, did you hear how much what he had to buy,
- 26:03Speaker 2: like I don't know, so many hundreds of millions of
- 26:06Speaker 2: dollars in his car share to keep it afloat this year?
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, Bro. It's when you really like and
- 26:14Speaker 1: it's it's like we were talking about, like kind of
- 26:16Speaker 1: the whole theme of everything we're talking about. It's like
- 26:18Speaker 1: when you when you're so aware of all this stuff, bro,
- 26:21Speaker 1: It like it gets so deep that you almost like
- 26:23Speaker 1: realize like like even if I stay tapped in, like
- 26:28Speaker 1: what's the point, Like all this is running so deep
- 26:32Speaker 1: from every direction that you're like it's hard to breathe.
- 26:35Speaker 1: It's exactly. And if you're just like a regular person, bro, like.
- 26:38Speaker 2: What it's like, you know, going to mom's house and
- 26:40Speaker 2: she has a news honestly, Oh no.
- 26:42Speaker 1: You know every night, every night it looks like the
- 26:45Speaker 1: end of the world is Yeah, you know.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I get a happy bunny picture or something, you know,
- 26:49Speaker 2: local children was stabbed by the candy man on wherever.
- 26:55Speaker 1: What my mom always talks about, like how since she
- 26:58Speaker 1: was born, people would tell the world's by the end.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you heard all the time. It's like one
- 27:03Speaker 1: of those things where like everybody thinks they're in the
- 27:05Speaker 1: worst time. Everybody thinks, like you know that everything they've
- 27:09Speaker 1: heard throughout history is like you know, they're that generation
- 27:14Speaker 1: or whatever the case is. And kind of like to
- 27:17Speaker 1: start winding down with this, like I feel like the
- 27:19Speaker 1: alien thing is kind of like one of those things
- 27:23Speaker 1: that if if that shit is like verified in a
- 27:27Speaker 1: real way, while we're alive. Like that's crazy that we
- 27:30Speaker 1: were alive for that, you know what I'm saying, because
- 27:33Speaker 1: like there's so many it's been so taboo and like
- 27:37Speaker 1: quote unquote bs this whole time, and then for it
- 27:40Speaker 1: to finally be like yeah, like this is well.
- 27:42Speaker 2: They always said there was a time to come, that
- 27:44Speaker 2: they were going to reveal themselves, you know, So Okay,
- 27:48Speaker 2: they revealed themselves. So what's next, Like, what are you
- 27:50Speaker 2: gonna tell us? Obviously we're messing up, So are you
- 27:52Speaker 2: gonna just annihilate us? You're gonna take someone us with you?
- 27:54Speaker 2: You're gonna restart, like you know, let's let's get.
- 27:56Speaker 1: To that part. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's getting hot outside already. I mean, like I
- 28:00Speaker 2: don't want them out. Let's just yeah, I'm the conclusion here.
- 28:05Speaker 1: But yeah, man, this was a dope talk. Man. We
- 28:07Speaker 1: didn't even get into any of the stuff we were
- 28:09Speaker 1: talking about getting into. Like I said, definitely definitely got
- 28:12Speaker 1: to have you on it. Yeah, man, I would love
- 28:13Speaker 1: to come back. Thank you for having me telling people
- 28:16Speaker 1: a little bit about what you're working on now, just
- 28:19Speaker 1: what you've been into lately, just so they can kind
- 28:21Speaker 1: of tap in. Like I said, I heard one of
- 28:23Speaker 1: your joints before we started recording. It was super dope.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Thank you. I've seen you out about doing your thing
- 28:30Speaker 1: as far as DJing goes, and it's super dope too,
- 28:32Speaker 1: So definitely let people know so they can tap in.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Also, yeah, man, I'm just kind of taking a step back,
- 28:38Speaker 2: you know, for the past. I'm not going to tell
- 28:41Speaker 2: you how old I am, but a long time I've
- 28:42Speaker 2: been constantly throwing shows, playing shows, and that just taking
- 28:45Speaker 2: a step back work on my own album, something new,
- 28:49Speaker 2: something you guys have never heard from me before. So
- 28:52Speaker 2: focusing on that album tour, you know, just the next
- 28:56Speaker 2: step in disslefunk evolution.
- 28:58Speaker 1: But yeah, we'll definitely have you on be for them.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But definitely when you drop that come back we can
- 29:02Speaker 1: talk about it and stuff. I always like having people
- 29:04Speaker 1: along when they drop some music. It's always dope. Yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 1: I appreciate you pulling up, man, Thanks for having me
- 29:09Speaker 1: pull up. Make sure Joe's here, and like I said,
- 29:13Speaker 1: you'll be here more often, Brody.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I appreciate the hospitality, yes, sir,
