Wasioja, Minnesota, honors its Civil War roots with a ribbon-cutting for a restored seminary—once home to some of the nation’s first Union volunteers. Founded in 1858, this historic site saw students march just blocks away to enlist in 1861, forming Company C of the Second Minnesota Volunteer Infantry.
