- 0:15[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if he's at the game or if he wasn't at the game.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_09]: What's going on?
- 0:18[SPEAKER_09]: I did he just and I did okay
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he said, his wife, what, she broke her ankle, right, or something last week, so he's got kind of full-time duty with the kids.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_03]: And nighttime is especially difficult as we both know.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_09]: So we're going to get into everything in this game for warning for this episode.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously with a 430 start time game just finished up not a lot of time to prep for an episode, you know, normally we have notes together, things we want to talk about, normally Josh has screened voice mails has them preloaded, we kind of have an idea of an order we want to play them, what each one is about,
- 0:56[SPEAKER_09]: We don't have any of that tonight.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_09]: We're flying off the cuff, we're coming to you.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_09]: This is about as live as you can be.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_09]: We have, we weren't even do the voice mails, but we have 10.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_09]: And then we obviously this was a game.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_09]: She door got to come in.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_09]: A lot of people are going to get into the thoughts on the show.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_09]: So we have 10 voice mails to get to.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_09]: We have no idea what they say.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_09]: We don't even know how well we're going to be able to load them up on the fly.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_09]: So bear with us, we're going to try to get through all 10 of these voicemails while giving you our thoughts if we start your voicemail and it's just like, and it's something we've already covered.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_09]: We'll obviously play it.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_09]: Might not spend a 10 of time on it, but you guys took the time to send the voicemails in.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_09]: So we don't want to just snub you this week, just because the league had us play it for 30.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_09]: So we're going to try to get to everything, obviously we're going to try to get to your guys's comments in the chat, but just bear with us again,
- 1:43[SPEAKER_09]: just a two-man show tonight.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_09]: Josh is wearing host producer, notes taker, voicemail player.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_09]: He's got 16 different hats on tonight.

- 2:36[SPEAKER_09]: dive into the episode.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_09]: One thing I do want to mention now, and I should have prepped more for this, but I am like, I'm a couple weeks too late.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_09]: It is November.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_09]: Our good friend of the program.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_09]: Guy Kenny Mac.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_09]: basically the the fourth host of this show from the Great White North.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_09]: Every November Kenny does a Moe Vembert campaign for mental health and cancer research, Kenny himself is a cancer survivor.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_09]: I believe we'll have we have the link somewhere on our socials and in the descriptions of videos and all that good stuff.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_09]: Please donate to Kenny Max Moe Vembert campaign.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_09]: He always has a yearly goal he's trying to get to raises money.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_09]: We've been pumping this out promoting this forum for the last three years.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_09]: So be on the lookout for that link to donate to Kenny Maximum November campaign.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_09]: It goes to a great cause and Kenny's a great guy.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_09]: You guys all know him and love him.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_09]: So that's help him out.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_09]: Let's help him get to his goal.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_09]: All right, so let's dive into this episode here.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_09]: I was Josh U and I were talking before we went live.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_09]: I said either it's because I'm dead inside or because I took an alt, the line on this game was only seven and a half and I bumped it up to 13 and a half and I almost made it 21, Ravens of minus 21.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_09]: So I was expecting this to just be an all-time curb stomping team.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_09]: And in the Browns play,
- 4:00[SPEAKER_09]: real tough.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_09]: And we at least, especially on one side of the ball, we don't have even close to the amount of talent we need to to try to compete with real NFL teams.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_09]: So I think after I think this was, it was almost a good sign for the Browns where last week could have really derailed things.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_09]: Like there was talk of the locker room was going to be gone, you know, losing, like the
- 4:29[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, it almost felt like it was blow up time, even I'm sitting on here being like, well, if they get rid of everybody now, it's maybe now's the right time in fresh restart, all that good stuff.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_09]: So I feel like this team in this locker room really could have came out this week and just gone through the motions, just mailed it in.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_09]: And I was almost half expecting it because
- 4:53[SPEAKER_09]: second half fourth quarter last week.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_09]: So for them to kind of have a bounce back game in which like the defense come out, the defense answered the call.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_09]: They came ready to play for all four quarters.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_09]: They there was no let down from them.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_09]: Even when the offense was struggling, you know, pretty much ever since like the end of the first quarter through the rest of the game, defense still came out and fought force turnovers, made it tough on the the Raven's offense.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_09]: to just, I don't know, there's no moral victories in the NFL, I guess.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_09]: But when you're a Browns fan and you're especially when you're having a season like this, like we could have rolled over and died.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and we still came out and we fought with them for four quarters.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_09]: We just overmatched on one side of the ball.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_09]: And so that's kind of how I felt.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_09]: I finished this game and I was just like,
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: like we fought you know what I mean we we gave them hell so I was happy with the team's effort I guess is what I'm trying to say up until two minutes and 30 seconds left to go in the game the Browns either had the lead or were tied with the ravens the entire time the entire time and it's because we have half a football team that's if if I'm upset with anybody
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's Andrew Barry.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: It just, it has been you guys know that and it still is like you built me half a football team and it sucks to watch them because that half of the team that you built is really damn good especially at home.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_03]: We talk about that at home.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is how they do it and it almost feels like the our best chance of winning a game scoring points is with our defense on the field.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's the only way we're going to score points.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, we scored what six, I think our offense generated six points tonight.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: We got that muff punt, so special teams helped us get three because we can't score when we're on, you know, their six yard line.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: We have to kick a field goal and then the defense took a pick six back.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: Other than that, there was nothing to speak of.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: Our offense is,
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't exist.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: There is no offense.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's one of the worst things I've ever seen, ever.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's in watch on the way.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: There's in years and years of watching football, watching this team play football or try to play football half the time.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen an offense that looks this bad.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_03]: This is pathetic.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_09]: My issues with the offense has been with Andrew Barry more than anything else for a while now in terms of,
- 7:17[SPEAKER_09]: this can't be the way that this can't be the offense that you've constructed and I know like there's reasons why I've been a person who talked about those reasons.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_09]: I feel like they they had pieces, they had guys like prime chub, cream hunt, Odell, Jarvis, all these guys, well not Odell that he was gone before to Shanghai.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_09]: But they had they had a solid offensive core in place and it was like okay we're gonna we got this shun offense is done.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_09]: It's off to the
- 7:47[SPEAKER_09]: building up defense, just waiting for Deshawn to be good, and then it never happened.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_09]: And this is what you end up with.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_09]: I guess my issue here is, even if Deshawn was primed to Sean, he wouldn't, there's no way he could play with his talent on the offense right now.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_09]: Like you let it go too far.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_09]: You just let it fall off of a cliff.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, and I'm not even talking.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not even focusing on,
- 8:09[SPEAKER_09]: athletes and playmakers right now.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_09]: KT Levinson should not be on a football team.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_09]: He's the camurving of left tackles.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_09]: It's just, it is.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_09]: He is unbelievably bad.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_09]: Jack Conclin.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_09]: I love the guy.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_09]: I should have been forced into retirement like three years ago.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_09]: Not extended.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_09]: Then he could
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember when the extension was by no before this season to when they restructured it so he can essentially be a free agent next year.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_09]: So this is it for jack-on on the Browns and and to jack like jack is just injuries eventually.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_09]: You're going to catch up with the guy.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_09]: You know what I mean?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_09]: He's it's just tough.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_09]: It's not like it's not a judge will situation where it's effort.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_09]: It's just like right the dudes getting older and just it's just been banked up forever.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: Um, he left the gun today hurt.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_09]: You just, and then, and I'm, I'm hating on KT Leviston.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_09]: It's like, our other starting left tackles awesome.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_09]: And we just unfortunate that he got hurt and we had to go to KT Leviston.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_09]: Came Roddenson's not no good either.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_09]: It's just like, what you've compiled on the offensive side of the ball is so atrociously bad.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody, nobody would be successful.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care what you did to this offense.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care what quarterback you put in it.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care if you have the Sean McVay calling plays for this often.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody will be good with this talent.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe you would score 14 points a game instead of 13 points a game.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_09]: If it was a different offensive scheme or whatever, nobody's winning with this offense.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_09]: It is disgusting.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_09]: The talent on this side of the ball.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_09]: It's topped a bottom, least talented offensive roster in football.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_09]: I'd say, it's like them and the Titans.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_09]: And the only reason I give it to the Titans a little bit right now is because the number one overall pick a quarterback at least.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_09]: We don't even have that to boast.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_09]: So it's just, it's tough right now, like you're just not going to get anything out of that offense.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_09]: I've given up hope on ever seeing a good offensive game out of the Browns.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: No, and today's a different kind of experience for Brown's fans, at least like for me because in the early part of the afternoon, I'm watching Red Zone.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_03]: I never really get to just sit and watch Red Zone because the Browns are playing it one.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm focused on what they're doing.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I got Red Zone on my iPad or something, but I'm not really watching it.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of just paying attention to like fantasy.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: I was watching Red Zone today, like okay, let's see what some of these other teams are doing for Rio and all this stuff.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_03]: And then you get to watch the Browns after that.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, now I'm comparing what I'm watching with the Browns to everything I already saw in the Warner clock slate.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: We are terrible.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: That how do you know how to put it?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, our defense will keep us in.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: We said this all season.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we do the same show every week.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: Our defense will keep us in every single game.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Our special teams are hit or miss.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes they're going to cost you a game like last week.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_03]: Other weeks, they're going to help you potentially win or at least stay in the game, which was like today.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_03]: I thought they did really well.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: They bounced back good, which was good to see from a coaching standpoint that that unit was able to overcome and bounce back and have a good performance.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_09]: Um, I guess before we get to, I would imagine, um, a majority of the voicemails are going to be throughout the offense in the quarterback.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_09]: So I just kind of want to like focus on a couple bright spots real quick before we add to all the voicemails, um, bright spots, miles, Garrett's an absolute animal still hasn't mounted in four sacks, just unreal, Carson Schlesinger is,
- 11:35[SPEAKER_09]: He's maybe the second best Browns player at least on the defensive side of the ball and then some actually in Brad brought this up today in the discord Nobody's talking about like Grant Delpit's playing insanely well this year too Like on defense and he's the guy who recovered them off pun
- 11:52[SPEAKER_09]: He, great Delphate's having a great season.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he is.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_09]: So there's bright spots, Andre Schmidt.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_09]: Again, three for three, I believe it was on Field Goals, made the, his extra point.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_09]: I thought, and I, kind of under the radar, I think Gage Larva dance a pretty decent returner.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_09]: Um, he hasn't like he looks explosive when he does get a chance to return it and he makes smart decisions back there for it feels like going back years now we've had a guy back there who catch it when he shouldn't wouldn't catch it when he should
- 12:29[SPEAKER_09]: just bone head mistakes not even taking into the account like return yards just like what or just can't catch it.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_09]: I think gauge larva dangers make smart decisions back there like there was a play today where it was right before the half in the ball bounced at the ten and if he just gets out of the way it was slow it probably gets down like the one or two yard line and then we're we're struggling to run out the half without giving up a safety or something like that before the half.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_09]: But he catches it.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_09]: He makes a nice play on the catch off the bounce and gets it at like the 10 or the 11.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_09]: It allows us to run a nice, low-risk run-flated judgekins and then run out the half and go in it with the lead.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_09]: That's the kind of stuff that doesn't show up in the box score.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_09]: Like, he potentially saved points right there by making a nice play on the point.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_09]: So, I feel like each larver day is a bright spot in the return game, obviously Carson and Miles, Grant Delpit,
- 13:17[SPEAKER_09]: There's some bright spots to this.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_09]: We're just so deficient on one side of the ball.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_09]: And I'm not, I'm not going to declare the special teams back.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_09]: Because, um, because this is kind of in the story, like we'll be good for a week or two, then awful for a week or two.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_09]: So, um, but I thought they had a good game this week.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_09]: I will say this.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_09]: That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen on the punt down at the one and who knows what happens if they have the ball to inch line instead of at the 20 because his foot doesn't touch that line.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know how they don't overturn it.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_09]: You can see from the one angle, the one foot didn't touch it and then when they went to the the other angle, the other foot never came down and touched the ground.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_09]: It was clear as day.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't even close honestly.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_09]: They were like, oh, it's so close.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe it looked close initially.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_09]: As soon as you slowed it down and looked at it, it was not close.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_09]: That was not a touchback.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_09]: They should have had the ball about the three inch line against our defense and miles Garrett, the way they'd been playing.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_09]: That was total bullshin call.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_09]: That was awful.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree with you, and you know, another guy, if you want to talk about Brightspots that who's having one hell of a season is Devon Bush, I mean, our linebacker, you know, we were concerned when the season opened up here because we knew we were losing J.O.K.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: for the season, and then Jordan Hicks just abruptly retired right before the season, it's like, oh crap.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we got this rookie second round pick, Carson Sussinger, but he's a rookie.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: So expectations need to be tempered.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: And then after that, it was like, we got some dudes in there, but are they jags?
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: Are they, Devon Bush?
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so glad they brought him back this year because he is having his best career season since his, what, since his rookie season, I would imagine.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_03]: That pick six today was the runback was excellent.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's a beast out there.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_03]: it was funny so you know we we have the discord with the dog pack um that's join the dogs dot com for everybody who missed it the beginning but you know everybody's in their chat all day and i'm trying to do other stuff on social media plus i got the kids running around like freaking chickens with their heads cut off
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, somebody all like tag me, and they said, you know, hey, what's going on here because we're like actually winning the game.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, sometimes I forget that the Ravens are the old Browns.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: And today, they were browsing all over the field.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they pulled so many Browns moves today.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: To deflected interceptions, one for a pick six, they muff the punt.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: They jump off sides on a punt.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_03]: that we're on a put return that we're punting gives us a free set of downs like they did so many and there's all kinds of other things to the sacks and just they did so many things that I thought this is what we do and yet
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: The whole game, I don't know about you.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm guessing it's the same.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_03]: I just was sitting there thinking, at what point is this going to go their way?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_03]: Because I know we're not winning this game.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_03]: I just, it's not gonna happen.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_09]: Well, like I told you, I bet, I bet the Browns to lose by more than 13 and a half.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_09]: And even when we had a lead, I was like, I'm still gonna win my bet.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_09]: Like.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_09]: And of course I didn't, you know, this, that's the Browns for you.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_09]: They don't win the games and they don't let the Ravens cover, but yeah, it no point today.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_09]: I wouldn't believe we were going to win this game if we had a lead with eight seconds to go.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_09]: And the Ravens had to go 99 and a half yards.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_09]: I still wouldn't believe it.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_09]: So, uh, okay.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: So whenever the Ravens, let's talk about the end of the game real quick.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, because I want to know how your mind was going because I was watching it and I'm looking at the Ravens on fourth and one.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: and their infill will range.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's tied 16 16 and I'm two and a half minutes ago, I'm like, Harwell just kicked the field goal dude.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_03]: We can't move the ball in offense.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: What you're worried about?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: We cannot move the ball.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_03]: There we are no threat to score.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: And so they decided to go for it.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, man, if I was Harwell, I would just kick the field goal because I know this team can't score.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: And then they run a fake, fake QB sneak with Mark Andrews.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: He turns around as a fake handoff and then
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: bootlegs round, and just scores a 35-yard touchdown.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what a brown's way to, you know what I mean to lose that game?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_09]: It was my last word when it happened.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_09]: I was like, good play called by the Ravens, because, yeah.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_09]: They got, they got Mark Andrews taking the snap who's a big tight end.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_09]: They got Derek.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_09]: You got to load the box.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: You have to.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_09]: You don't mean you got to load the box.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_09]: And then Mark Andrews just is an athlete in space at the tight end.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_09]: You know what I mean?
- 17:38[SPEAKER_09]: Big, strong, fast guy.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_09]: So sometimes like they just have a good play called.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I mean, it's going to happen.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_09]: What I did thought when I saw that play, I thought that is the exact same kind of play that if the Browns called with their tight end, if aren't say our tight end when in and took a snap, like Harrison Bryant used to do.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_09]: And we tried that play and it got stuffed on like for no gain or we didn't get it, Stephanecy would be butchered.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_09]: Butcher, that is the kind of play that ever, that is the kind of play that all the Browns Phoenix think, no other team in the league runs only the Browns run, but if you actually go watch other teams play, almost every other team runs at least one or two trick plays like that a game.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_09]: But I just thought, that's the Browns would try that play.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_09]: It would go nowhere and we would be butchered for it if we try to play like that.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, and it's all, you know, it's all about the execution, like you said, I mean, what what he's supposed to do on defense?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you got Mark Andrews, they're, I mean, one yard away and Derek Henry's lined up.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_03]: So if he doesn't take the, if it doesn't sneak it, in terms around he's going to look like he's going to hand it off to Henry, you got a bite on that.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's, it's, know what?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't expecting Mark Andrews to bootleg out and take it for 35 freaking yards for a touch.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm not going to lie to you.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: I laughed like it was it was comical like you of course this would be how they score the touch down the win the game, you know, with their tight end on a fake touch.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: That's not Lamar Jackson.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's not Derek Henry.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's not going down the field and driving notes.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: Some funky fake fourth and one play with the tight end.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my gosh.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_09]: So that brings us to a two-minute drive, which also then brings us to the offense, you know, the not fun part of the show.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_09]: So obviously, I'm assuming all the voicemails are going to be about QB for the most part.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_09]: So that's just kind of give our quick thoughts and then we'll start diving into some voicemails.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_09]: What the, the, the shoulder comes in a first while I called it.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_09]: I said Dylan Gabriel was either going to throw three picks this game or I had a feeling he was going to get hurt.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_09]: And then you got hurt.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so let's, I don't want to get hurt if you didn't watch the game or if you, yeah, I can cushion.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: So that was before half.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what play it was did they ever show anything.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_09]: It was one of like the, I don't know if he rolled out or what they got tackled by a couple guys.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_09]: I didn't look that bad to me, but then again, he's like
- 19:55[SPEAKER_09]: So Shidorah gets his chance and I was excited to see him come in and right off the rippy throws like a real nice pass to the the sideline I'm like that would have skipped four yards short of Dylan through that pass or five yards over said yeah but then he comes and then he throws a pick like a couple throws later and then honestly right back out of the gate should have thrown another pick and heading into that final drive I think he was three of eleven.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_09]: So it wasn't, it wasn't, and you saw some of the things where like all the issues that we kind of knew about in terms of just holding the ball too long.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_09]: Like I understand we don't have anybody open.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_09]: I understand the offensive line is the trotace.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_09]: you got to have your clock in your head and you just got to know where to go with the ball and take the in hit your back foot and you just got to throw it somewhere at that point you know you can't run around and take huge sex now so wasn't going well and if I had to rate his performance it's probably like a D-
- 20:54[SPEAKER_09]: There's context to that, though, it should door people.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_09]: I'm a should door person.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_09]: That's not freak out.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_09]: I also understand he's gotten very few of any reps in practice.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_09]: He hasn't played with any of these starters.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_09]: It's a super tough situation to come in, cold off the bench, in a game that you weren't expected to play in.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_09]: Against the ravens, you know, you're not playing against scrubs.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_09]: So it's a tough spot.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_09]: There's reasons for the struggle.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_09]: But there's no denying it wasn't a great performance.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_09]: where it differs from, from like watching Dylan Gabriel play, one you made a couple nice down.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_09]: He already has a longer pass point of Dylan Gabriel has and it took a half.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_09]: He pushed a ball down field and you saw up like just the, the tiny spit and this is the word we've been saying on this podcast a little bit of juice.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_09]: You know what I mean, there was just the tiniest bit of he's not playing well, but maybe there's just this tiniest little bit of something there.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_09]: He made a couple big throws.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_09]: He made a couple scrambles.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_09]: It's to be honest, he made a real nice throw to gauge Larva Dan for a potential game tying touchdown.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_09]: I think it was a wooziad, just made a really nice play.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_09]: Like that's think about it.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_09]: Think about it.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_09]: If you get to throw that past to like not a guy who started your season on the practice field.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_09]: on the practice team, you know what I mean?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_09]: Like we're asking this guy to lead a game-winning drive against the Ravens, and he's got to throw a pass-up to Gage Larva Dan.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_09]: And that guy wasn't even on the active roster for the first month and a half of the season.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_09]: But imagine if he had an actual NFL number one rider, see where to throw that pass-to.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_09]: So, it's like
- 22:27[SPEAKER_09]: He showed I'm not I'm not going to say like I'm sitting here going oh he showed me everything I need to see he's the savior of the franchise.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_09]: I saw enough though that I'm at least excited to watch him play next week with a full week of practice and maybe not against the Ravens you know against a struggling Raiders team and and if he looks great against the Raiders I'm still not going to say here and say
- 22:49[SPEAKER_09]: He's the savior, but he showed me a little bit of juice, a little bit of something a little bit of like, you know, maybe there is a little bit something there and I'm ready to see more and hopefully he shows me a little bit more and then hopefully Dylan just stays on the sideline then because he's showing us stuff and then maybe by the end of the season we're seeing a guy who's had now eight games of first team reps and he's the starter and he's got good rapport with these guys.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, he's hard to ever have been thrown to these guys because he's never getting any reps with them in practice.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_09]: So
- 23:18[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not going to sit here and say you played great, but he showed me just a tiny bit of enough to have me ready for next week.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_09]: I'm ready to see what you can do in a more like ideal situation.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_09]: Getting to be the starter all week, getting to practice, getting reps, that kind of stuff.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I mean with the forehand.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: With the concussion for Gabriel, I anticipate, I mean, we don't see guys come back, especially if they have to leave a game with the concussion.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_03]: They don't come back the next week.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: Any more in the NFL.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: So should it be should or in Vegas next week?
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like you said with a whole week to prep and everything like that, it practice game playing all that good stuff.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: you know the the debut was not great it was not pretty like you said probably d minus like it just if you just take it at face value but you know the stuff that didn't go well for him was also the stuff that wasn't going well for Dylan Gabriel's also the stuff that I've seen camward do not well.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_03]: this year and even today watching some of that game.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like these are rookie quarterbacks.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: The only Gabriel is also holding the ball too long at times.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_03]: How many sexes he taken in his five starts?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: A ton.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_03]: So there were definitely things about Shador that he needs to improve, but that there were his mobility in the pocket.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: Whenever he's not drifting back, whenever he decides to set forward or try to create some space and then who take off and run, there's some juice just in his legs.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, the dude's a quick, and he's faster than what anybody has really given him credit for, pretty like in the pre-draft process and stuff like that.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: And those throws down the field, and the freaking overthrow to Isaiah Bond in the back of the end, and that was, that would have tied the game.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: That was before the Larva Dan throw.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he had him open, and I think he just overthrew him a little bit.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_03]: And that's one that I think if he gets that back, maybe he makes that throw, but he just don't see him sail the balls or throw them right into the dirt or into blank air the way Gabriel was doing.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, a couple before we get to our first voicemail, a couple of things so I'd dress here.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_09]: So me said,
- 25:16[SPEAKER_09]: Four or six team with as many sack yards as passing yards showed me some juice.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_09]: Again, we gave it a D minus performance.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_09]: He also led the team down into scoring position with a chance to win the game, throwing passes at the end zone.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_09]: You'll never convince me that we would have done anything but go three and out if Dylan Gabriel would have been in there for the two minute drive.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_09]: Because I watched him go three and out almost every single time he's the quarterback for us.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_09]: All game.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_09]: And he definitely went into throwing the ball to fade in on the deep past down the middle.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_03]: So that was a nice throw.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_03]: I've been waiting five weeks now to see a throw from Dylan.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: I saw one today that I liked.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_03]: It was the throw down the seam to Cedric Tillman earlier in the game.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought, oh, hey, look, Dylan made a nice throw.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_03]: And then every throw after that, and every throw before that, look terrible again.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_03]: And Shador had multiple of those throws.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: Even if they didn't connect like the one to Larva Dan, like you mentioned in the end zone.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_09]: Still a nice thing.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_09]: Another person said, what's juice?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_09]: Juice is just when you watch the guy, you can, you're like, oh, maybe there's something there.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_09]: He's not playing great, but there's like a little bit of something, like, he, he, he, the, even the ankle plate passed a larvae, and that's a nice throw.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_09]: But it's a real nice throw.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_09]: The throw to fan in to get into that position.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_09]: That's a real nice throw.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_09]: The scramble on like third and forward to get us the first down and move the chains.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_09]: That was a nice scramble.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_09]: I saw even as bad as he played.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_09]: He did not play good, but even in a bad performance, I saw things in that bad performance that said to me, maybe there's a little bit of something there.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe if we developed this guy, maybe we given some reps, he can be a guy who could play quarterback force.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_09]: There is yet to be a moment watching Dylan Gabriel play where I've thought this guy can be the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns or anybody.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_09]: in the National Football League at that, like, that's what juices, that's what that is.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't a good game, he didn't play well.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_09]: I guarantee he would say he didn't play well.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_09]: It was also extremely tough circumstances.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_09]: Dylan Gabriel has had first team reps since training camp, and he's been the starter now for six games, okay?
- 27:18[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see what Shidorah looks like in six games with first team reps and all that good stuff.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_09]: So we want to take our first our commercial break then come back and try not got a bunch of these voicemails.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, throw me a curve, all in pull that up.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's do that.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: So quick commercial break and then we'll be right back.

- 29:02[SPEAKER_09]: His seniors looked identical to how he played at Colorado, same bad habits.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_09]: You must not have been here when the very first thing I said was, it wasn't a great performance.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_09]: And we saw some of the things like the holding onto the ball and the drifting the pocket.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_09]: And he's got to have an internal clock and just get rid of the ball.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_09]: That's basically a verbated quote from the very first thing I said when we first started talking about your door.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_09]: So I apologize if you weren't listening.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_09]: Go ahead, let's get the first voicemail.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, real quick, too.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys are watching here, I put a poll up in the chat because during that break, I kept seeing people saying, oh, you guys are making excuses for Shador and the other people are saying, oh, you know, he's got a battle line.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I just said, do you want Shador to start and keep the job?
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you want Gabriel to be the starter?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: And so far, we got 47 votes, 89% say, Shador.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: So I just wanted to gauge, get a gauge for where the audience is right now.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_03]: But there we go.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so this first voicemail is from Bobby.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Hey guys, it's Bobby from Parma.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: I meant the game right now, and so Georgia came in.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: I guess the deal ends out of the concussion.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: The stadium is absolutely crazy right now.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: My house is there for snacks.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: This is absolutely insane.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: My prayers not for dealing.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go Brown.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_09]: It's a great one to start.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not gonna lie.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_09]: The fact that your first inclination when you're at the game is to get on the dogspodcast.com and call us to leave us a voicemail.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_09]: I'm honored.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_09]: I'm touched.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_09]: That was just brought a smile to my face.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_09]: That was awesome.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, thank you, Bobby, that was really good.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I got the next one loading here.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: All right, this is from our boy fake burns or Zack.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: All right, what's up, it's fake burns again.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zack, there's my actual name, but game isn't over yet, but I just kind of want to give a quick couple of thoughts.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm recording this right now, just after they challenge the spot of that punt.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully it goes well for us.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully we can continue to win the game up by three right now, but I just want to give a few two cents about Sanders.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't planning on watching this game.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: I went to the gym, and I was like, ah, why not?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll throw it on, halfway through the first quarter.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: Sanders is in and I got really excited and so did everyone in the stadium But to be honest hasn't been too great lately with the last couple of plays and Series obviously games not over yet and by the time you listen to this will be over, but What I have notice is what you guys talked about where there's a couple sparks where it's like okay, okay, we could do something with that like
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Um, little too much time in the pocket, but again, rookie, it's his first ever game playing in the NFL.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he can fix that, but, um, I honestly, as of right now, at where we stand with this punt, we just had on the one that they challenged.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm feeling a little more confident with him with Sanders than I did with Gabriel.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: So like you guys said, I saw a couple sparks hoping they can keep building on that.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go brownies.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully we can close out this game if this is being planted on the podcast after a brutal loss.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: And oops, but let's go browns.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oops.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_09]: Well, one, I guess I'll start calling you.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_09]: what's his name?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_09]: I'll just play.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_09]: Don't tell me his name's Jake.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_09]: Zach.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_09]: Zach, I know, I was just be okay.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_09]: I was like, you're not.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_09]: But a couple of things in here I saw talking about his drifting kit and they're thinking you coach that out of him and they're saying like my home's drift, Josh Allen's drift, all these quarterbacks drift.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_09]: All these guys they make place the difference between those guys is like they kind of pick and choose their spots and then they might Got some times, but then a lot of times they make place should yours just got to learn He's got to pick a spots.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_09]: What can he get away with?
- 32:43[SPEAKER_09]: What can he get away with?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_09]: He's not the athlete that like Josh Allen or probably even my homes is So he's got to pick and choose his spots.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_09]: He would even get away with see because you don't want to take all that out of him because that's like that's what makes it
- 32:56[SPEAKER_09]: like a a quarterback special plan outside the X and oh so but that comes with reps and in the games and get it this the the speed of the game and that stuff and trying to yes you coach him and you tell him you got to do this and you got to do this but you still want him to keep what keeps uh makes special so like it's a fine line and the only way to get that is to just play he's got to play
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's all about experience and I think, you know, whether you're inclination out there as to say, oh, he's terrible after one half of football or, you know, you still think, like, he's the savior, like, just chill.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: It was one half.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: He was supposed to play like we've said a million times.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of these guys that you want to compare him to, whether it's a good comparison or a bad one, have experience.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: playing and starting as quarterback in the NFL.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: This guy does not.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's still never started a game.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like this was it.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: This was his first experience.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: We just got to give him some time.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: We we gave Dylan time and we saw nothing.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: We saw nothing.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_03]: So all right.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_03]: This one is from our boy Devante.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_06]: There's a device over here, so there's going to be short and quick for everybody who did and wants your door centers on the ground, congratulations, you've had.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_06]: But my manager's just scored, she got two minutes left and again, two, twenty six, I think to be exact.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_06]: I don't see them pulling that soft because I'm so congrats.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_06]: You've been able to have your moment of sunshine, I still think what I've always said.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_06]: He should be getting reps with first thing.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_06]: That's not in the discord and some people didn't like it.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_06]: Self cookies of that has to teach a rookie how to study the game out of prepare.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_06]: Biggest example.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_06]: Michael Viguenza Philadelphia, he didn't know all that he went off piercelling.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_06]: Wasn't to be able to handle reading out of him and have what it's all to do.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_06]: And we saw what happened.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_06]: Not a friend of two that's just an example.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_06]: So we're going to crucify.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_06]: Shidorah Sanders off of half a game of football when he's being tossed in there should he have been ready always be ready Yes, but it's a something worth the point of hey, let me show you how to do it whether Joe Flacco was here for four weeks That's great guess it was a backup Dylan Gabriel Guess we never got first team reps should or Sanders Let's see how you go guys active you're put into a new position in two hours and they say hey, yeah Run this meaning for us, so it's what's to do It's not always gonna go well
- 35:23[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, everybody got the wish.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_06]: I guess that was going to be short.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, you got cut off.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, one thing that like, yes, I, what he said about like you should always be ready as the backup.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he was ready.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: What the thing you cannot prepare for is, oh, now I got KT Levston left tackle going against the Raven starters on the defensive line.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I got wasn't a drone for who totally put your the block on Kyle Hamilton.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, yeah, that first series for Shidorah Sanders was a trotius and I was nothing to do with him.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: He had a nice, he made a came out made a nice throw right off the rip.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: And then we got to, he made another nice throw.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: I called back on a holding penalty.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: So we're now we're 10 yards back and then they give up that huge sack.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, okay, cool.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know, and I just, like again, the stat lines bad, and there was, there is tons of bad, but there was, I don't think you should, anybody would be saying like it was a complete in total loss, and you just showed like you shouldn't even be in the league.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_09]: I, that's not the takeaway I had.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_09]: I thought it was an extremely tough situation.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_09]: He came in made a couple of nice throws.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_09]: And he gave the team a chance at the end.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_09]: He put the ball in larvae dance hands on a touchdown pass and he just got knocked away by a woozy on a really nice play.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_09]: And again, we just, we already talked about, you shouldn't have to throw that past a gauge larva dance.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_09]: You know, like that pass should be going to, you know, a guy who didn't start the season on the practice squad.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_09]: So, it's just like, we've talked about this whole time.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_09]: I saw enough,
- 36:58[SPEAKER_09]: It was dark, but they look like somebody punched holes in it.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_09]: And you can just see like a little bit of glimmer of light coming through the black canvas.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_09]: That I think there was stuff there.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_09]: So I think if you just, you're selling them again, I'm not saying it's the savior of the franchise yet, but we know Dylan Gabriel isn't.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_09]: And I feel like I saw more even in a bad performance out of Shador to make me intrigued in that than I did out of six starts from Dylan Gabriel.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: And it was nice to see a quarterback back there who could throw a pass and not look like he's putting his entire body weight behind it.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_09]: That, that is the thing too, the ceiling is clearly higher.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he has, his arm talent is, it's not even close.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_09]: It's not even close between Helen and him and Dylan Gabriel.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_09]: The arm talent, the accuracy, shudder is honestly more athletic.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_09]: He's just got to learn when to use it and when not to use it.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_09]: And it was, it's really nice to just watch your quarterback in the pocket and he looks,
- 37:53[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe this is a stupid point, but he doesn't look so much smaller like he looks like a professional NFL You know what I mean like yes you watch a replay from behind and Dylan Gabriel looks luck like he can't there's nothing
- 38:07[SPEAKER_09]: This guy should not be on a field.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_09]: He is tiny so it's just like nice to like look like there's a grown man out there And I'm not trying to slight Dylan, but Like it is.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I watched a lot of other football today like I mentioned earlier and you know one thing I noticed I've noticed this over previous weeks and just like quarterbacks dude drift back guys like this is not a Shador Sanders isolated thing
- 38:31[SPEAKER_03]: the difference is one, these other guys kind of have a better idea of what they're doing when they're drifting back, one because they are the starter, they have the experience and the reps and all this kind of stuff.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: And two, they've actually got freaking guys who can get open while they're drifting back and creating a couple extra seconds to make a throw and a line that can maybe hold off a pass rush for an extra second.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have that.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not going to work here the way that it works for some of these other guys.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_03]: I see, yeah, like Josh Allen, all these quarterbacks do that to buy a couple extra seconds just for a guy to come open.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_09]: I think that they even showed on a replay of the one time he had a clean pocket, you could watch his eyes.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_09]: through.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_09]: He didn't just immediately take the ball, pre-determined throw it to a check-down.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_09]: He went here, here, here, came back to, I think it was in Joku for like an 8 yard pass on the check-down.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_09]: Like you could see him going through progressions.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_09]: He's just got to learn to harness, okay.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_09]: I went here, here, and here, nobody's open.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_09]: I just got to, I got to get rid of it somewhere.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_09]: I can't run around forever.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_09]: I got to get rid of the ball now.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_09]: So, um,
- 39:42[SPEAKER_09]: I thought that's a very good point by Kenny Mac.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_09]: Before we get to our next voicemail, let's do this super chat from CanBam Music.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_09]: We appreciate it.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_09]: It says, I could be wrong, but I think the plate calling could have been better on third down with all the pressure coming.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_09]: We definitely saw flashes from door sanders.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_09]: I've never called plays anything higher than junior high football.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_09]: What I can say about calling plays is when you are just completely overmatched and you can't block and you can't catch and you can't do anything.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_09]: But you're just staring at your place you're going, well, this should be why it opened, but this guy won't block it.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_09]: This should be why it opened, but this guy won't catch it.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_09]: This should be why it opened, but the quarterback, like it's very hard to call plays when you're just completely overmatched in the town department.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_09]: And the other thing about, go ahead.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_09]: Things should be open, and then,
- 40:34[SPEAKER_09]: They don't get hit.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_09]: Things should be open, but you miss a block.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_09]: Things should be open, but something happens.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_09]: It's just, it's tough to call plays when you're just in net in the talent department on one side of the ball.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_03]: In the second half, you've got to remember two calling plays was even more difficult, because the run game was already taken away.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_03]: That was stopped.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: Quinn Sean Judkins was able to get free and pick up some yardage and do some things in the first half, not in the second half.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_03]: They shut that down real quick.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_03]: I expected the Ravens to kind of shut that down the entire game.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: I was impressed in the first half with Quint Sean and some of those runs, but it wasn't here to last.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: And just to give everybody an update of the poll, 173 votes now, 95% want Shador to continue being the starter.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_03]: So I think everybody's kind of on the same page here.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see if Mick.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_03]: Our next voicemail is on the same thing.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, there's a device out here.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_03]: So this is a wrong one.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, we're doing it live.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_03]: Talk for a second.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: Let me download this again.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_09]: Another comment here says it was almost every drive scene just played literally in the order of run run pass.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_09]: So in fact, check me if needed.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't just your door.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_09]: They even talked about that even in the first half of Dylan Gabriel, the play.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_09]: You can just tell the play calling is very like conservative.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to just try to run the ball.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to try to keep the defense fresh.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_09]: We don't want to turn the ball over like it goes back to what I just say.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_09]: There's no place to call when you can't block.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_09]: There's no place to call when you can't catch.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_09]: You know, so it's like you can just tell, it's a very vanilla blend, conservative play calling, just because like that's kind of what you're forced into when you can't do anything.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I mean, before I play mixed here, because I think I got it loaded up, but another thing Devante said that I thought was, you know, something to say is, it sucks not having some sort of veteran quarterback on the team that at least these rookies could go to the sideline after a series and talk to and say, because, okay, we got Bailey's affi, but I mean, Bailey's affi, come on, like, you know, somebody with some real experience who can say, hey, you know, back when I was playing or, you know, this is why I saw out there, whatever, you know, some of these other guys have that,
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: we don't we got two rookies.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_03]: Again, roster management, I think has been pissed for.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_10]: Hey y'all, let's make from San Diego.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_10]: I'm glad that Shador got his opportunity to play.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_10]: Obviously, I would have much rather preferred for
- 43:05[SPEAKER_10]: it not be against the Ravens but started okay and then he started going back to his collegiate habits and then started picking up again and then it just seemed like the play calling for Shador was a little bit more conservative maybe I wasn't watching the game as well as a play for the other guys on the show.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_10]: But yeah, the announcer's even said it.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_10]: They need max protect, let Judy, maybe in joke who, maybe one other person get open, call the time out, and then the very next play, it was anything but max protect.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_10]: So,
- 43:53[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, we just need to figure it out.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_10]: The offense needs to score, defense showed up, and special teams that were well today.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_10]: On to the next one, go Browns.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_10]: Ooh.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_09]: I am at least, I'm intrigued to see what it looks like next week with a week of prep in a game plan for him.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody said Kevin said that if Dylan Clears concussion protocol he'll start,
- 44:19[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I don't want to have like a super-backing question, you know, like I don't want just because I don't think he's any good doesn't mean I want his brain to be bleeding, but please God.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_09]: Like, it's like, we're here now.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_09]: Don't take it away from us, you know what I mean?
- 44:40[SPEAKER_09]: Like, it's like he just gave us the tip.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, we want the whole thing.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_09]: Um, so, like, come on.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm with you.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think that that's uh,
- 44:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a mistake.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Dylan's just showing us nothing, man.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_09]: Here's a good point.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_09]: And I saw, uh, for, um, Twail-duh-dred head.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_09]: How many passes did Shador see in her story to the ground?
- 45:10[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, good point.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_09]: You know what I mean?
- 45:12[SPEAKER_09]: Like, that's, that's the thing, even Dylan Gabriel in this game.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_09]: He, like, he, like, he cannot throw to the sideline.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_09]: No, almost any time there's a sideline passing, it bounces four yards short of the guy.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_09]: or he sails it like he cannot throw outside the numbers because he doesn't have the arm.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_09]: So it's just one of those things where like that's what I'm talking about.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_09]: Again, Shador didn't play some amazing game, but he even on his, even his misses were better misses.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, and we've, I've talked about this on the show and I've talked with Kenny about it and you and we've all said it like even when should doorstanders does eventually at some point get his opportunity.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_03]: We got to chill out with the expectations that this guy's going to come out and light it up and you know 350 yards and five touchdowns and all this stuff.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he's a rookie.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: We need to have the same expectations that we would.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_09]: KT Leviston over here, busted S, Jack Concland in here, old S, Joel Betonio, and Ethan Posick in front of him.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_09]: My little of Joel Betonio, but all the announcers always talk about the strength of our line is our interior, yeah, it's the strength of our line because our tackles are asked.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_09]: The interior is not some dominant force like it was four years ago.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_09]: Like, they're just not.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_09]: So also throwing to Jerry Judy out here who has like one catch in the last month, I get he had six catches last week.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah, it's like six catches in the last three weeks.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_09]: Like, no, I don't care who you put on this team.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care if you put freaking Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes on this team, they're not going to light it up with what they have around them.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_09]: You're just looking for sparks, things that you can build on, something like, oh, that's there.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe if we put an action on the fellow receiver on the field, that could be a connection.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly what I was looking for throws I just want to see a throw and that doesn't even I and when I say a throw I'm not saying they completed pass because that means that the guy on the other end either has to run the right route Create separation or make a catch which is no guarantees in this office.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to see a freaking throw and I saw several
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: throws from Shidorah now that they show how they show up in the box court in completions.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, fine.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever, but at least he can make the throws.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing that I've been bitching about what Dylan for weeks is he can't make the throws.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: And we've said it many times on this show.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: If he tries to go deep, it's up in the air like a punt.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: And it's wobbling the whole way down.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_03]: You're like, oh boy, who's coming under this one.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_03]: He throws in the sideline and skipping all, you know, through the numbers or sailing out of bounds, because he's trying to put too much Shidorah who never would have sailed that ball over Malachi Corly's
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: the screenplay that would have been a touchdown probably like oh yeah it's throw the ball to the Freak and it's pitching catch behind the line of skirmish and he missed it we can't go back to Dylan we can't tell uh... joe mignite here says the tip game is wild buddy if you like those kinds of comments you're in luck
- 48:20[SPEAKER_09]: I got about five of those in the chamber every episode, and then his next promise was his time with the press was awesome.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_09]: I'm, we basically got right on here after the game and started doing the episode.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_09]: I'm excited to go back and see some of the postgame stuff with him.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_09]: So I'm, thank you for telling us that because I want to go check that out.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: Do we have more voicemails?
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we should do this one from Garen.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_05]: Hey guys, this is Garen again from Arkansas.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_05]: Following that Browns Ravens game, I think we got to make a lot of adjustments everywhere.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_05]: I think, you know, you have to give Shader more reps following that.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: I think it also showcased that not everything is Dylan's fault.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_05]: Dylan Gabriel did have a couple dirt balls.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_05]: He wasn't very good, but he did what he...
- 49:03[SPEAKER_05]: Needed to he didn't turn the ball over.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_05]: Now Shader does push it down field.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_05]: I like to that.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_05]: I thought that was really good But you had to take the good with the bad shader.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_05]: He pushed the ball down the field, but he also took the sacks He also didn't hit the open guy as did Dylan.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_05]: I think both guys miss a lot of open guys as we've
- 49:19[SPEAKER_05]: you know to the past couple weeks.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_05]: We have to be able to take just the simple stuff and yeah, we need to push the ball down the field some, but we just have to know when to take the check down.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_05]: So yes, I'm with you guys.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_05]: I think we need to push the ball down the field obviously way more.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_05]: I get tired of the dump downs too, but we need to know when to take it when not to take it.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_05]: So after doing his head injury, I think we'll probably start to turn next week against the raiders.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_05]: We definitely need to get him.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, fully ready.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_05]: I think it look a lot differently as a fully to prepare, but we've we got to find something because it's not just the quarterbacks.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_05]: It's the wider severs in the line.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_05]: So we definitely got to find some strategies that help our tight ends excel more because they've gone from excelling to almost nothing.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, thanks.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_09]: So whatever he says what's that I was just saying it's almost like I listened to that voicemail But I didn't listen to it, but he just said like everything we've said so far.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he did I mean and the one thing that really stuck out to me He's talking about how the court backs need to know when to take the shot down if you don't win not to take it.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think they both
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: you know, and obviously need more reps with learning that kind of thing in the game, the flow of the game and the speed of the game and all that kind of stuff with the difference for me is whenever you decide to take a shot or not to take a shot, can you make the throws that you're deciding to take?
- 50:37[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of the dumb downs with Dylan is not because there's nothing downfielders because he can't make that throw or he just flat out doesn't freaking see it.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, he misses a ton because he can't see anything.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_09]: Another thing here, thank you DJ Ant for the Super Chat.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_09]: He says y'all should have started, should doer for the season.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_09]: Here's the deal with that.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_09]: I think we all talked about it at the beginning of the season.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_09]: I was fine with going Joe Flacco early.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_09]: I said,
- 51:04[SPEAKER_09]: I said, I thought, Joe Flacco should start because he's going to give the vets the belief, like the best chance to win early in the year.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_09]: And then I said, once the season, it's clear the season is done, then you move on to the rookies.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_09]: We also said slow down, Dylan Gary was taken in the third.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_09]: He's going to get every opportunity succeed and lose the job before we go to Shador.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_09]: My problem is, that was four weeks ago.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, maybe two, maybe some people will say two weeks isn't enough time.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_09]: When you're watching, you're watching.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_09]: Two weeks was plenty of time.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_09]: This should have been the move to Shadour a month ago.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_09]: So I'm perfectly fine and understand the reason in which we have gotten here.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_09]: The problem is,
- 51:50[SPEAKER_09]: should have happened.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_09]: It shouldn't have taken an injury, and we shouldn't go back to Dylan.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_09]: You knew after, honestly, I knew after the first start, but definitely the second start, the third start, you knew.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_09]: You knew there was nothing there.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_09]: So let's just get to this.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_09]: And then if there's nothing here, then at least we know strategy heading into the offseason.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_09]: You know, they're super chat.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_09]: You want to, that third down third gauge in the end zone was better than any third Dylan is made in six games.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, Dylan wouldn't even have attempted it.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_09]: At least he gave his guy a chance.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_09]: He put it up there and gauge almost made it a great catch.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_09]: Who's he had just made a great defensive play and knocked it out late.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_09]: It was borderline, like if gauge could have gotten control of it, it was borderline would have been in touch down because once he has possession, it's a touchdown, play is done, doesn't matter if he would have knocked it out.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_09]: He just could never get the full control, it was a good defensive play.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_09]: Again, we've talked about this play a bunch of times.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_09]: You should have to throw that to a practice squad wide receiver.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_09]: sure'd be nicer for that, you know, Jamar Chase or T. Higgins or Justin Jefferson or somebody.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, or just any other backups like we don't have that guy.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have that guy.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have that guy.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, this one's from Jack.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_08]: Well, guys, another week, the same result.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_08]: We did get the C. Shouldor this week.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_08]: I said in the group chat last week, this is exactly how it was going to go.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_08]: We're on backwards, get sacked.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe with week of practice and some first team rest settle up better next week, but I'm not hopeful.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_08]: As always, go Browns.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_09]: Like we talked about, I'll show you had to, it was a D minus performance, but there were things in that D minus performance that you could look at and be like, okay, this is something this is something, this is something, a couple of things here, before we get to the next one, the fancy still sabotaging him, no mass protection, why longer routes when the Ravens were blitzing more, so fancy's not calling plays, so that's a tired, that's big, right?
- 53:53[SPEAKER_09]: He's I'm calling plays.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_09]: says that was passionate interference in the end zone.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_09]: I actually kind of thought that too.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_09]: A weasier does make a play on the ball once it's in Loverdance hand, but he's definitely got hands on him and never turned around to make a play on the ball until after Gage had it in his hands.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_09]: I thought it very easily could have been called passionate interference, uh, our ball at the one yard line.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_09]: The browns aren't going to get that called though.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_03]: Now.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_03]: This episode is sponsored by Botan Sports.

- 55:50[SPEAKER_11]: Well, should or finally got his start, because someone decided to not kill and gave me a lot of half time.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_11]: No, I don't know.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_11]: No, I don't know.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_11]: I'm excited that he finally got in there.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_11]: Got to start.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_11]: I will say, obviously it was pretty rough, but we have to give the kids some patience and some grace.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_11]: He hasn't even been able to practice with the number ones.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_11]: So I just don't feel.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_11]: It's a fair assessment right now.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_11]: They haven't given him the coaching, the practice that he needs to jump in a game like that.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_11]: So also offensive line.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_11]: I can't even, like, that is the worst offensive line I have ever seen in the NFL, college, high school, all the above, like, I can't even get over it.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_11]: Next year in the draft, if we draft a single defensive player, I swear.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_11]: I might stop watching this team, now I'm just kidding, seriously, offense, offense, offense, offense, receivers, offensive line.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_11]: We'll see how Shidorah does next week if we get to full week of practice with ones.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_11]: And you can start the game.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_03]: And I know what the people who don't like Shador are going to say is, you guys are making all these excuses for him, but you'll, you know, you'll harp on Dylan for the same stuff or whatever.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: Shmaid great point, and we've been saying this whole show, Dylan has been taking the first team reps since he was drafted, rookie mini camp.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_03]: He got the first team reps, and then we get into veteran mini camp.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_03]: He's getting first team reps all summer, preseason, training camp.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's been the guy.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: He has been, they have given this to him.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_03]: He has gotten all the experience.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_03]: Their days at Shidorah wasn't even taking reps at all with the team and the team drills over training camp.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_03]: So it is, no, it's not a fair comparison.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_03]: This guy is very much behind as far as the experience.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_09]: You can just watch them and watch them both through the football.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_09]: like I'm willing to give the guy who can make the throw to the sideline a little bit more of a leeway I'm willing to like hey you know I mean like okay maybe maybe he took a bad sack like the one guy said he was only sack twice yeah and he did you know like he extended plays a couple times with his legs gave the guys a chance
- 58:07[SPEAKER_09]: Again, I'm not coming out here saying he was great.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_09]: He threw one pick honestly, probably should have thrown two, but there were things there, and you could tell he has tools.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_09]: Dillon Gieber has no tools, he's toolless.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_09]: There's nothing there for him, even if Dillon Giebero makes the right read.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_09]: Even if he can somehow see over the line and makes the right read, he can't put the ball where it needs to go.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_09]: Because it hangs up in the air for four seconds like a punt, or it skips five yards short to the sideline.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_09]: You think Dylan can stand on one hash and make a throw to the outside numbers?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_09]: No, he cannot.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_09]: He can not.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_09]: He's physical.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_09]: We just saw it last week.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_09]: He threw it 10 feet over Malachi Corly's head.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_09]: He can't make those throws.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_09]: I'm willing to try to coach the guy and give the guy reps who I watch, stand in the pocket and deliver nice balls.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they were nice balls, Blake.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_03]: They're so nice.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_03]: They were smooth his eggs.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_03]: Alrighty, we got Brad Moneymaker.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure this will have something in it.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_07]: Here we go.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_07]: Once again, down the road of suffering, yeah, and it was a game.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_07]: You're all.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_07]: All right, what's up, Brad Moneymaker?
- 59:18[SPEAKER_07]: Well, finally got C-Shodor.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_07]: I'll give him a little buffer here, you know.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_07]: had just kind of thrown into a game he wasn't fully prepared.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_07]: I mean towards him, I saw couple good things from him.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_07]: Um, Dylan had some good throws, and then he turned around and do like a terrible throw.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_07]: This whole, uh, we still don't have a quarterback as of right now.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I would like to see should earn a full game, but we'll see if that happens.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_07]: Um, the defense amazing.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, mostly pretty much lights out.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, in Carson, Swashinger, and Miles Garrett, both getting like whatever of the year for this.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_07]: So, um, it wasn't a blowout, so that's good, guys.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_07]: Um, yeah, let's go Browns.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_07]: Woo, woo,
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't a blowout.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_09]: Not an excruciating loss, expected it to be much worse.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_09]: And to be honest, if the Browns came out and just looked competent like this, like we talked all year, I was expecting us to win really any games.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_09]: Just come out and play hard for the most part.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_09]: Like, I don't think we had a ton of penalties today that I remember, we may be a few.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_09]: and in fight we didn't give up we fought we fought to the very end even with two minutes ago we you know had a chance to go down and tie it up so um like moral victories wise which you know you don't want to have that NFL but like me as a fan watching this I finished the games I got we fought onto the next week because I do say to watch you do our next week hopefully yeah I mean honestly if I was I'd be upset if I was a raven's fan
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_03]: because you're going against the team that just lost to the jets and a pretty embarrassing fashion.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_03]: And they're offence mustard, a whopping six points today.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_03]: And it took you to the last two minutes of the game to take the lead.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: So they've.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_03]: They've rattled off what's that now, four straight wins.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_03]: They're five and five.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_03]: They're trying to make a push for the division, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_03]: But they've got some problems too that they're going to have to work on.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_03]: I know their defense has gotten a little bit stronger over this stretch, but it can still be picked apart by a good team.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_09]: You got to think they're off and we...
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_09]: Lamar kind of like, I mean, that's early in his career.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_09]: And he still plays well, I mean, last game he threw four touchdown passes, but it was on like 120 yards passing.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_09]: Or something, you know, I mean, like, we kind of like, we play him.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_09]: pretty tough the last couple years.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, this is the first year they've swept us in what three years, three or four years now.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_09]: So I mean, we play him pretty tough.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_09]: He plays against other people better typically than he does against us.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_09]: He like I said, he threw four touchdown passes last time, but we held him in Derek Henry for the most part and check in that first game.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_09]: Like I said, four touchdown passes on.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_09]: When you barely like 150 yards passing, if I remember, like it was some miniscule number.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_09]: So, they'll be all right.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_09]: I'll be honest, like, they're probably going to win the division.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_09]: Steelers, we're going to collapse.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm waiting for that collapse, especially for our if Rogers is out.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I mean, travel.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: So, last voice mail here tonight is from Jonathan.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_12]: Uh, well, that was fun, browns fans, uh, sure felt familiar, even though our personal savior should do or finally got to play, he should do our fans.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_12]: Hey, are you, are you, are you, did you watch that?
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_12]: Are you listening?
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_12]: How do you feel about it?
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_12]: Was it everything you hoped for?
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_12]: Sure felt the same to me.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_12]: It's because it doesn't matter who you should put in there for the QB.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_12]: There's too many other problems with the O line, with not having consistent, awesome receivers, like we have some that have flashes of cool.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_12]: That was nice, but then they drop it.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_12]: it'll drop it again, Judy, like, I didn't hate Judy as much as I usually do.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_12]: It hates a strong word.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_12]: I didn't want to like smash my TV as much as I usually do because of Judy this game.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_12]: But dear Lord, it's just more the same because we have other problems.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_12]: And Shidorah is going to solve it.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_12]: And clearly, he needs to drop some habits from college still.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_12]: And that's probably why it wasn't the first pick.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_12]: But man, I hope the Shidorah fans are happy now.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_09]: I will say I'm not happy.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_09]: I'm happy because again, clearly we have nobody will be successful in this offense.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_09]: We've talked about it.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_09]: Like Stacey said, it's one of the worst offensive lines that I've seen at any level of football.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_09]: It is atrocious.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_09]: In the wide receiver core, I've been on record basically since the offseason, so worse in football.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_09]: So, um,
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_09]: Like you've been realized at one point this year, Jamari Thrash was our number two.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_09]: What was last time you even heard Jamari Thrash's name?
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_03]: He was a healthy scratch today.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_09]: That dude was like our one A, two for a stretch of games this year.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_09]: So like it's the worst wide receiver core in football is terrible.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_09]: The offensive line is maybe worse than the wide receiver core, especially at the tackle position.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_09]: So we know he there's more issues.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_09]: He showed to me that he had tools that could
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_09]: be part of something though it Dylan showed me nothing.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_09]: It doesn't matter since I don't want to win another game.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you for the super chat.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_09]: By the way, uh, we suck so bad.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_09]: I want a lock on windows for the 2026 draft change my mind.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_09]: I don't disagree with the not wanting to win another game because even if it's not a quarterback, I want to be able to pick whoever I want.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_09]: Because we're not going to win enough games to do anything this year.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_09]: Might as well be able to have the player you want and not have to worry about anything.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_09]: Not to making trades.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_09]: not to do anything like that, or if you can get number one pick and you should or is the guy, somebody gives you a king's ransom to move up to one and you stay in like the top five somehow and you pick up like three more first round picks and then you're still getting like the receiver you want like a car and outtater or something like that.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_09]: So, like if the Browns can lose today, the rest of the year, I won't even be mad.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_09]: Be competitive, fight, don't give up, play to the end of the game, the fourth quarter, don't get blown out, and you're just overmatched, and we can get the number one pick, and I get to watch a football game where my team was in it till the end.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, that's when winning for your Browns fan, right, honestly.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I don't think we gotta worry guys, but there's offense.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: Ali, we gotta worry about winning games.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm done you're right now, I just, it's not good.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_03]: It is not good.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_09]: There's maybe two more games on the schedule that you have a chance at in, there'll be tough.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_09]: Another super chat here again, thank you for where to go.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_09]: Here it is.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_09]: And honestly, Cleveland fans should be hopeful 12 shit sparks and he can get the ball down field.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_09]: That's exactly what we've been talking about this whole time.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_09]: He should have he had the tools to make the throws now.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_09]: He just got to coach it into him like where to go when to take their shots when to get rid of And people like he still has those bad habits when was he supposed to get rid of him?
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's true.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_09]: Like turns out the trash cans don't give him a very hard pass rush in the post practice drills that he's running You know what I mean?
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_09]: Like when was he supposed to get rid of these bad habits the only way to get rid of some of these bad habits is he got to be in there?
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_09]: That's a good way.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_09]: So you can't learn the speed of the NFL sitting on the bench.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_09]: Like, oh, I could run away from that guy.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_09]: It's a lot easier say that to get in there and he's chasing you.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, shit, maybe I can't run away from that guy.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_09]: Like, you gotta learn these things the only way you learn them is by playing it.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_09]: So when was he supposed to get rid of the bad habits?
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, a while ago, a couple of weeks, I think, somebody in a press conference asked Kevin Stephanski if Shidorah Sanders was taking any first team reps at practice, just, you know, in preparation for the upcoming games and stuff.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: And he said, no, you know, Dylan's taking all the first team reps.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's a rookie, like he needs all the reps.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_03]: He can get all that kind of stuff.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_03]: And then I think it was Darrell Wright, or asked him the other day, has anything changed with Shidorah's practice reps. And so Stephanski said, no.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_03]: And he said that he's getting, he gets his extra reps with the developmental guys at the extra session after practice is over.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_03]: That means all the first team guys have already taken their reps and they're already in doing film study and meetings or whatever the hell they do after practice.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_03]: And Shador's out there with the practice squad guys.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's whenever he gets to do his practice.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_03]: So what you saw today was Shador Sanders off a week of practicing with the practice squad guys.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, and I'm not, another thing I like about should do is, and some people don't like it's like, I guess I'll call it bravado or cockiness.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_09]: I think he seems like a good leader.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_09]: like he takes ownership a lot like he he's good at the podium like I know he like he a lot of people didn't like his uh like mimeing interview or whatever but like I feel like when he's for the most part like he's he's good at that kind of stuff he rallies the troops like guys you know gravitate towards him so must tell him saying Dylan doesn't have leadership qualities but I don't know I like the
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it felt like there was an energy shift when he came in.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_03]: The stadium obviously blew up like it was rocking.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_03]: You saw everybody's got the wrist up, like it was everybody's pumped.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_03]: And you could even feel it with the players in the huddle, like it was like, all right, let's go, let's go.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_03]: We got, you know, there's like new life.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, the ball was snapped and it turns out KT loves him.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_03]: Whether he's excited or not, can't block anything.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: So it didn't matter.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like you can only elevate people to a certain level.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, and these guys are not players that are able to be elevated.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_09]: Um, that was our last voicemail, right?
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, sir.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_09]: We got through 10 voicemails.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_03]: good and thank you everybody for sending a minute when we got on here and I told Blake I'm like I barely had time to get anything ready for the show I didn't even go through voice mail or anything and I said well let's just see how many we got I was like holy shit we got 10 of them
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, 10 voice fans, I was like, well, we can't leave the people hanging and we got to get to some of these.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_09]: So we appreciate everybody who stopped in, left us a voice mail.
