Transcript
- Yoel Bakas: Last week I posted on the importance of considering oncology capital purchases as multi-year operational commitments. The discipline that ensures you're covered is a single question asked before signature. Question is, what does this commit us to in year five? Not what does it cost in year one. not how long is the warranty term. But what does it actually commit us to in year five? Ask that of the proforma of the service contract, of the AI vendor, and of the AI software solution. Ask it of every line in a deal before you sign. Capital decisions will hold up when the five-year reality is considered before signature. They break apart when only year one is considered. If the capital decision for your program does not have the five-year conversation in it right now, the conversation is not finished.
